Like Randall always says like he has like three fans, But I don't think that's true. 00:01:10 Speaker 1: I think I think it's the same for you. 00:01:13 Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm a huge people. 00:01:16 Speaker 2: I think people are fans of yours like you you think like, oh, people are only drawn to Lauren. I know, Hey, you did the same You did the same thing, Lauren, you were. 00:01:24 Speaker 1: All over Randall. I had no one on my team at the beginning of your podcast. 00:01:28 Speaker 3: Wow, you know they come to the show just for me. 00:01:32 Speaker 4: You're right. 00:01:34 Speaker 2: So my first riveting question is, Lauren, how the fuck do you get those eyebrows? 00:01:38 Speaker 1: Your eyebrows look amazing. I've been staring at them, but. 00:01:40 Speaker 5: You feather them perfectly, and you come on, here's the trick. And I've never shared this on any of my platforms. I don't know why got to be glued? Okay, you know men's got to be glued. 00:01:52 Speaker 1: The yellow bottle, Yeah, the old hair hairy? 00:01:55 Speaker 5: You fully can you put it in your brows and you brush them straight up? And that is honest going to change everyone's life. 00:02:01 Speaker 1: And by the way, Michael, we. 00:02:03 Speaker 3: Just had someone come on the show and for forty minutes about how. 00:02:08 Speaker 1: They pull your face down. You got to brush them up every day. 00:02:10 Speaker 3: Wow, my face is falling off. It's going to be gone in a year o week. 00:02:15 Speaker 1: Got to be glue. 00:02:16 Speaker 5: That's honestly the best. That's one of my best beauty tips I could give everyone. 00:02:20 Speaker 1: Got to be glued. 00:02:20 Speaker 2: I love that you say that because I have spent so much money on like these waxes and just everything to try and get my eyebrows to look like yours. 00:02:28 Speaker 1: So got to be glued. Love it. Your eyebrows look really good. Just just I'm just telling you they look. 00:02:34 Speaker 4: Everybody's eyebrows look great. Now I'm like bugging the funk out. I'm gonna go to the bathroom and check my show. 00:02:39 Speaker 1: Eyebrows are important. 00:02:40 Speaker 4: Wow, you guys are like, this is intense, Okay, So I want to I want to hear the history because I I really need to be educated just on how you guys met, how the relationship started, because I love the romance. 00:02:53 Speaker 1: You want the breakdown, I want the. 00:02:54 Speaker 4: Whole ship you met. You guys said you met when you were twelve. 00:02:57 Speaker 1: Well, Michael was four foot one. 00:02:59 Speaker 3: And was twelve. 00:03:00 Speaker 1: I was five. 00:03:01 Speaker 3: It was in sixth grade. 00:03:02 Speaker 1: I was five to seven. 00:03:03 Speaker 5: I was the same high I am now, and I saw him and I thought he was so cute. 00:03:09 Speaker 3: You know what I thought. I saw her and she was the only fully developed woman on the playground. 00:03:13 Speaker 5: Because I was I had like I look like I look. I thought she was the I relate to schuberty early. 00:03:19 Speaker 2: Yeah, and then that was like your peak, that was you didn't get bigger boobs. 00:03:24 Speaker 1: Well I did. 00:03:24 Speaker 5: I got fake ones, but like I mean both, Yeah, I went and got fake ones later. 00:03:29 Speaker 1: But when I was little, they were pretty big. Yeah, Michael was looking at you. 00:03:31 Speaker 3: They were the only ones. 00:03:32 Speaker 1: I'm going to give her a baby, the real ones of the class, I mean, who knows. 00:03:36 Speaker 3: I looked over I was like, oh, the new subs here. She's pretty fucking hot. 00:03:39 Speaker 1: Wow. 00:03:40 Speaker 3: And uh then I realized she was because at the time I was just doing little kids, so I was like playing five tether ball handball. And then all a sudden I looked over him. I became a man that day. I was like, I grew up right away. 00:03:51 Speaker 1: We started dating in sixth grade. What city, San Diego? 00:03:54 Speaker 5: Okay, got it, and we we progressed very fast. Like my dad found us in the closet without t shirts on at twelve years old. Wow, wow, like crazy, crazy chemistry, and then like gave him a blowjob like at thirteen. 00:04:09 Speaker 3: Yeah, it's why we were becoming alms. When my daughter turns thirteen, we're moving to amage country. 00:04:13 Speaker 4: You're just you're locking it up. 00:04:14 Speaker 1: Yeah, I would pay back well at twelve. 00:04:16 Speaker 5: Yeah, So we had this like very intense connection at a very young age, and then at about fifteen years old. 00:04:23 Speaker 1: We broke up. 00:04:24 Speaker 4: Okay, three years together. You're in high. 00:04:26 Speaker 1: School now, so you break up at fifteen? We break up at fifteen, I go for older guys. He does, Like, that's a typical story, right, kids. 00:04:36 Speaker 3: I went to the handball court and cried myself. So you're in high school together a week as soon as we started going into high school, right, it's a it's the same story that every guy goes to the girl, the young girl goes off with the older guys, leaves the young guy in the dust. And yeah, and so then, like we were not together for a long time after. 00:04:53 Speaker 4: Did you stay in touch. 00:04:54 Speaker 1: All the way we hooked up? Yeah, like you come home, you were comfortable with each other. 00:04:59 Speaker 5: Sometimes we would hook up and then I just leave, like always so it made him, like I feel like he just couldn't get enough because I would like, come and leave, and. 00:05:07 Speaker 4: Come and go and then leave. 00:05:08 Speaker 3: Well, I sprinkle, Yeah, this sounds really like corny and I hate it to sound that way. But I had a lot of other relationships after Lauren, but. 00:05:17 Speaker 4: I I thought, you stayed home the whole time. 00:05:21 Speaker 3: But I don't. I never feel so proud of those relationships because I never was really vested in them, right. I was like, okay, like I'm dating you or you're my girlfriend or like. 00:05:29 Speaker 4: But it wasn't. 00:05:30 Speaker 3: No, I didn't have that connection that I had with Laurence. I didn't really take him very seriously, and I don't like tell the people, so yeah, like you know, if it doesn't work out, it's find it. But I think sometimes that made it worse, you know, because he tells someone that and they don't believe it, but I really meant it. I was like, because I just didn't feel that way with other women that I felt with Laurene, and so like I had always chaser in pursuit her because I just knew from an early age like this was the woman that I loved. 00:05:52 Speaker 5: I know. 00:05:52 Speaker 3: That's like people say that, but it really was like a love at first sight connection type thing for me. 00:05:57 Speaker 1: I love that we went away to college. He went to you Bay. 00:06:01 Speaker 2: God knows what how best time, ever is what the best time of your alife? 00:06:04 Speaker 3: It was good that we were on a little break. 00:06:08 Speaker 4: Yes, yeah, all right. So now so now in college, you're not together, okay, together, stay in touch? So still hook up on. 00:06:16 Speaker 1: Stay in touch? He calls me. I don't pick up. 00:06:18 Speaker 3: Not really, that's what you know, not really in touch in college, like you know, like you come home for the holidays to see your family, like I would see her sometimes out at a bar. You didn't hook up, not really, no, not really. 00:06:29 Speaker 4: Okay. So now four years go by, college is over. 00:06:31 Speaker 3: High school college over completely. We weren't together. 00:06:33 Speaker 5: My friend invites me to Vegas, and she makes a fit that I go. So I go, and the next thing I know, I wake up in a Tiara with a bottle of Rose Champagne next to Michael Boston stop naked. 00:06:46 Speaker 3: She's fast forwarding through something. 00:06:48 Speaker 4: What happened in Vegas? 00:06:50 Speaker 1: What didn't happen? 00:06:52 Speaker 3: A lot happened in Vegas. I convinced her to go on that Vegas trip. We had kind of like seen each other briefly. 00:06:58 Speaker 1: That's the similarities between you and Oh. 00:07:01 Speaker 4: I like that. 00:07:02 Speaker 3: So I knew that her. We had a mutual friend that was having a birthday party. And at this point, like I was like, okay, I got kind of an opening again. She's on the rocks a little bit with with her the guy she was dating. I was just doing whatever I was doing, right you, and I just went into full pursuit mode. Like I was like, I was like, you come on this trip. We're doing this like and I like, you know, wine, dine, like whole thing. Yeah, And at that time, I was working and I had a couple of bucks in my pocket, and I was like, okay, like I can like maybe stand out head and shoulders above like with this surfer dude she was dating. And I was like, I can like maybe like get in there and like short, nice dinner and like be a gentleman and like do all these things. And then after that, like we've been together ever since. 00:07:38 Speaker 5: He I remember him, and I don't think I've ever told this story publicly. I remember talking to him at dinner and I was like. 00:07:44 Speaker 4: What are you reading. 00:07:45 Speaker 1: He's a huge reader, which is a huge turn on for me. 00:07:48 Speaker 4: Oh, that's cool. 00:07:49 Speaker 1: And he said I'm reading. 00:07:51 Speaker 5: A book on salt, and I was like what when He's like, salt, I'm reading about the history of salt, and he starts telling me all the history of salt, how salt used to be used as a current, see and like it used to be his money. 00:08:02 Speaker 3: And at one point so it was worth more than gold. 00:08:04 Speaker 1: Oh, don't don't get him started. 00:08:06 Speaker 3: But yeah, what's the book called? If you like the term, like if you ever heard the term like worth his weight and salt, yes, where it comes from because it was a currency like this. 00:08:16 Speaker 4: I just want to understand what would have hited you to read the book one. 00:08:19 Speaker 3: I read a lot of I just sometimes I'll be looking at stuff and something to catch my eye and I'm like why, I'm really I've gotten in trouble my whole life because I asked why eighty times in school I was terrible student, not because I couldn't learn, because it was like why why? 00:08:33 Speaker 4: Why? 00:08:33 Speaker 3: You have you have to give me the explanation, explain why? Yeah, and even like everything that's going on in the world, like I get in trouble because I'm outspokeau I'm always like why why, Like you tell me you want me to do something, why and if you explain it, I'm like why, God, so I have to It's like the same, It's just how it's. 00:08:48 Speaker 2: Like answer will yeah, until he comes to okay, I know why I should or shouldn't do that. 00:08:54 Speaker 5: Or questioning the status quo constantly. 00:08:58 Speaker 1: I love that and that was a turn on. 00:08:59 Speaker 5: And I ever been with a guy that had like this depth of intelligence. 00:09:02 Speaker 1: He was smart. I was attracted to his brain. His penis is great too, but I was really acted, you know what I mean. 00:09:09 Speaker 5: There was so much emotional intellectual chemistry. 00:09:13 Speaker 4: Right, so you had a real deep connection. Yes, okay, so you hit it again. It's like going back to the well. 00:09:18 Speaker 2: They wake up the next tells you about salt. You're like, I guess I'll let you hit it again. 00:09:22 Speaker 3: I hit it. 00:09:25 Speaker 5: I realized that I had been with people that there wasn't an intellectual which is why I It's like when you came on the show. I told Michael, I was like, I completely get it, but I also completely get it for multiple reasons, like I think you're adorable. 00:09:41 Speaker 1: I think sorry, I think he's the cutest on the show. No, he's very I'm like, very obnited to everything happened. 00:09:47 Speaker 5: No, he's adorable, yes, so, but I think that a lot of people are missing that intellectual chemistry and listen, everything goes like right, it all goes the looks, all the shit you. 00:09:58 Speaker 1: Have to have. 00:10:00 Speaker 4: And by the way, I think people really fuck that up. It's like you spend so much time looking for the physical and yes, you got to have that. Obviously, don't have that. You know, that's that doesn't get you together. But I'm saying, after like you said, two years, three years, four years, five years, that shit starts to become not as fresh as the new car you bought. Now I've heard and I her and I we have this deep kind of connection that like we just could talk for four hours to each other about everything. And I think you know, when you have that, it doesn't matter about the right. 00:10:30 Speaker 3: I mean, I joke about like Lauren being fully developed and this and that, and I think if you saw her pretty Instagram page you would come to a certain conclusion. But I remember being a kid and getting upset with her and being like, why do you play this character up? Like why do you act like I'm like, you're so smart, you're so like, you're sharp, you're intelligent, all these things like, and it used to frustrat me, like why do you put on this front like you're this other like character? Right, like one thing about Laura and Isaac. But sometimes we could sit still to this day and like talk for hours and hours and hours, like all of a sudden, the sex, you have to have chemistry and all that, and we obviously have a child, so it's. 00:11:03 Speaker 4: Like, so you have, But it's. 00:11:06 Speaker 3: The other stuff that I think creates longevity. 00:11:08 Speaker 2: Correct. 00:11:09 Speaker 1: I fully agree with you. 00:11:10 Speaker 2: I think people put so much emphasis on like the sexual chemistry and if I'm attracted to his looks in his body, and like you said, Lauren, that stuff fades. And at some point, you know, you see this beautiful woman in front of you, but when you see her every single day, you still know she's beautiful. But guess what when you see another pretty girl, like, she's going to catch your eye more so than the person you're with because it's new, shiny, new object. 00:11:33 Speaker 1: What doesn't fade is. 00:11:37 Speaker 2: When someone makes you laugh, When you can pick each other's brains, why you can ask why a hundred times and educate each other. I mean, Randal and I disagree on so many things, but I love having those conversations with him. And it sounds like you guys dude's are. 00:11:52 Speaker 3: Constantly like challenging each other. Frank Sinatra said, if you go on a date with a pretty women, shouldn't be a staring contest, or it shouldn't just be a daring contest. 00:12:00 Speaker 1: And oh, I love that. 00:12:02 Speaker 4: I also had this theory back in the day. It's a little off, but I was like, think about sex in your relationship. That's what I used to say. Okay, so let's pretend you're a six day a week sex person. Okay, it doesn't exist in the real world of relationships, but let's just pretend. Because people will tell me, oh, I have it six days a week, even thirty years into the they're liars, but it's okay, let's play that game. So let's give it ten minutes of the actual act six days a week. That's an hour a week. That's four hours a month, and that's forty fifty two hours a year. So you're going to gamble an entire future in lifetime on fifty two hours a year. It does it doesn't make sense. I love that and if people just if people realize it's all. But I'm saying if you took fifty two hours a year or even doubled it to one hundred hours a year compared to three hundred and sixty five days and how many hours are in that, you would never overemphasize that you'd want that connection in that hot sexual but after that you'd be like, God, I really better like this person. I better really love fucking with this person on the daily. And I think that's that's what has kept us together. 00:13:08 Speaker 5: I completely agree with you, and I think what I'm seeing a lot in this day and age is people settling because they feel like they have to check a box for society. And what my biggest advice is is I would be dead single if it wasn't for my glory now, I'd be single. 00:13:20 Speaker 1: I'd be fine with it. I think I'd be single. 00:13:24 Speaker 5: But it comes down to like, not settling, but the best in. 00:13:28 Speaker 1: Every area of your life. Either you wouldn't be single, though, would you be with. 00:13:34 Speaker 3: My process had gone up since I started getting by the. 00:13:36 Speaker 4: Way, You're right. 00:13:39 Speaker 1: At, Lauren Bosticks at I will use. 00:13:41 Speaker 3: Whatever tools in my toolbox to get what I do two of us. 00:13:44 Speaker 4: By the way, By the way, you and I if we were single, we'd be going out together. 00:13:48 Speaker 1: Both of you. 00:13:54 Speaker 3: This is my ex girlfriend wife. 00:13:57 Speaker 4: I carry her around here. She is such a post. 00:14:01 Speaker 5: She says that it's important, though, not to settle for anything but the best in every area of your life, and that includes your relationship. If you're settling for something because you think it's checking the box it's supposed to be checking. 00:14:12 Speaker 1: You're gonna do that in other areas. 00:14:13 Speaker 2: In my opinion, when was the Skinny Confidential born? How did it come to be? And like I know you said you were like bored you decided to start it in twenty eleven. 00:14:29 Speaker 1: Totally bored. Blogging was not cool. 00:14:31 Speaker 5: There was nothing cool about it, Like it was actually a dorky people were just showing their outfits. And I was a bartender at a very sort of exclusive bar similar similar vibes to sir, maybe maybe a little like it was all the wealthy men in Rancho Santa Fe, and so I would work there at night and then in the morning I would wake up, go to school full time and teach pure bar and plots. And there I was incredibly unfulfilled and I didn't realize what it was, and it was because looking back, I was an entrepreneur and I wasn't tapping into that. So at about twenty one years old, I'm like, I'm going to start a blog, and what I'm gonna do is I'm gonna build a brand off this blog and eventually launch a book, a product line, build a community. Like I set it up as a brand when I launched the blog. A lot of people I think launched blogs to like show their outfit or their nail color. I launched a blog being like, how can I give so much value back to these people so that they can take little tidbits and apply it to their own life. 00:15:26 Speaker 3: Love it. 00:15:26 Speaker 5: So I told I tell this story a lot, but I think it's important for anyone who's listening to just always go on your own trajectory. I told this guy at the bar, he. 00:15:35 Speaker 1: Was drinking a rusty nail. He's like, what are you gonna do with your life? I said, I'm going to be a blogger, and again twenty eleven. 00:15:42 Speaker 4: Right, weird, not not popular, totally weird. 00:15:45 Speaker 5: And he looks at me and he starts laughing like a bellow laugh. He's like, how are you gonna make money, and well he just didn't realize like the whole I guess he didn't realize that he didn't understand the internet. 00:15:59 Speaker 1: He ended up being like the CEO of Airbag. 00:16:01 Speaker 3: No no, no, he created he invented the air holy shit. 00:16:04 Speaker 5: And so and telling the story is like, you can have this idea and you can tell the most successful person and they'll shit on it, but you have to keep doing what feels right to your intuition and really committing to that vision. So this was like thirteen years ago, started this wow, and Michael didn't actually become involved in anything until the seventh year. And this is something that I've been doing seven days a week. 00:16:31 Speaker 1: When did it turn into a podcast? 00:16:34 Speaker 5: Sixteen twenty sixteen, we were drunken Cabo and he goes, why don't we talk on a mic? 00:16:38 Speaker 3: Well, no, what happened was at the time, obviously like the world of blogging and influencers blew up, right, like these terms back in the day, like you like now they call them influencers, but back then they were bloggers, right, And this world blew up, and people realize like, oh, there's some real money flowing into the space. Brands are obviously spending like starting to get involved. There's real like creators that are going on these social channels and building little like my co channels and and monetizable brands. 00:17:03 Speaker 4: Right. 00:17:03 Speaker 3: And I was at the time, I was running behind like I was running retail businesses and I actually was heading up a company called jetbed I was CEO, but make beds for corporate and private aircraft. I'm given super like Wow, just to show you how behind the scenes that was not a front Ye, they've laid in the jet I bet you've probably before if you've laid in those beds. 00:17:21 Speaker 4: Of the Yeah, then go over the dining round table. Yeses, so we make those those are like twenty thirds like a lot. 00:17:26 Speaker 3: It's it was a good business. Yeah, But but just to say, like, so we were behind the scenes, like not front facing at all, not had no plans on doing anything on the internet, just like you know, behind the scenes operator. And as her brand kept going, people would say, well, who's this guy that's always in the background, Like what's his probably something that. 00:17:46 Speaker 4: Exactly say, Yeah, who's this guy? Why what is So. 00:17:51 Speaker 3: She's like, hey, can you start, like if you want to go on? And I was like I'm not going to be taking pictures and outfits in the streets or doing the whole thing on the beach. Listen not to but like, that's not my vibe. 00:18:01 Speaker 1: It wasn't your vibe. 00:18:02 Speaker 3: No, it's so she's like, well, can you write a couple of pieces on the blog? And I was like, oh, once in a while, So I like wrote a couple small piece you probably go find and like most book wrecks, I'm like, that's not my vibe either. And I was focused on operating, but clearly you can't get me to shut. 00:18:14 Speaker 4: The fuck up. 00:18:15 Speaker 3: So I was like, why don't I love that? We do? We like, these people have these questions, we want to answer them. I don't want to write, I don't have time a social channel. Let's start a podcast started as a Q and A at the time when podcasting had still been around but not nearly what it is now. And so we started that self producing in twenty sixteen, and like that's the that's when I got involved with the brand. But it and obviously we called it the Skinny Confidential Hymn and Her because there was an established brand that already exists. I was on like, hey, let's go call it like the Michael Show, Like that made no sense, right, And that's wheally happened. 00:18:45 Speaker 5: We were at a different network and we just saw everything that they were doing wrong. And Michael's like, I'm going to blow up this space. I'm going to completely shake up this category and I'm gonna I'm going to have people make real money and I'm going to pull it through their social and I'm going to pull it to stories and pull it to Instagram and pull it to the blog because they're missing out on all these all these other revenues, right, like, let's sell a huge partnership. 00:19:11 Speaker 3: Wasn't just that, It was like and I don't want to say people are doing it wrong. I just felt that the model, the business model, the way you formed the contracts, the way you sell, the way you market, like, oh, it just wasn't updated to a twenty twenty digital world, right, and like that's the world that form. 00:19:25 Speaker 4: Yeah. 00:19:26 Speaker 3: And along the way, while I was doing that, I had an agency. I was helping brands build their products and sell on lines. Like I understood the backund she obviously like had the front end. So I was like, there's just maybe a more updated. 00:19:36 Speaker 4: Way to monetize. 00:19:37 Speaker 3: Yeah, and we And the other thing is like we understood it because we had and shared the pain con talking on a mic every week, and like we had gone through the editing process, We've sold the show ourselves, we produced we and I was like, I maybe could do this for other creators in a more productive way than maybe some of the ways they were doing. 00:19:54 Speaker 1: And he had no Hollywood background, nothing. 00:19:56 Speaker 4: Wow, and you just figured it all out, just as you. 00:20:00 Speaker 3: I'm still trying to. 00:20:03 Speaker 1: Why all the time. 00:20:04 Speaker 2: So if he would build something incredible because he knows exactly why, I. 00:20:12 Speaker 3: Think. I just came in and was like someone gave me the if someone gave me the blueprint of like this is how you create a podcast network. I kind of just threw the blueprint out the windows and we started and just restarted. And there's listen, there's some of that blueprint that's spot on and absolutely incredible, and like I used elements of that, but then there's other things like I could maybe do this a different way. 00:20:30 Speaker 4: How many years now has the company been in existence? 00:20:33 Speaker 3: I started it in the end of twenty seventeen, but didn't start signing shows until twenty eighteen. 00:20:38 Speaker 4: Okay, so three solid years, but four years been formed. 00:20:41 Speaker 1: And now do your media has like one hundred shows? 00:20:44 Speaker 4: Really? 00:20:44 Speaker 1: Yeah? We have? 00:20:45 Speaker 2: Fuck? 00:20:46 Speaker 4: Yeah, how can we get the call about something? 00:20:48 Speaker 3: Yea, why didn't they get the call? 00:20:52 Speaker 1: I actually have dmd lalla, probably to the point of annoying her. Wait, really, you could go back. 00:20:57 Speaker 4: I was like, she doesn't read her DM's Well. 00:21:00 Speaker 1: I don't blame you. 00:21:00 Speaker 5: I don't again, but I was like, I saw you on the show, and I'm like, oh my god, there's so much to this girl. I want you on the podcast. And then I read your book and I was like, I have to get this girl on the podcast. 00:21:11 Speaker 4: Oh that's so sweet. 00:21:13 Speaker 1: I love that you even go back. 00:21:15 Speaker 4: She's a big fan. 00:21:16 Speaker 1: Think we're a big fan. 00:21:18 Speaker 3: Yeah, I think I've seen every episode of. 00:21:23 Speaker 4: This season. Yeah. By the way, I like that. That's a real boss. 00:21:26 Speaker 1: I can say that he watches Housewives, he watches it all. 00:21:30 Speaker 2: Well. I think I love any woman who I think people kind of sleep on. 00:21:34 Speaker 1: They're like, oh, she's the blonde with the big boom. 00:21:37 Speaker 2: Hello daddy, and it's like and here's my brand boom. And it's like, holy shit, you just won this dick measuring contest. Like beyond like I, I think you're inspiring. I think what you've built is incredible. And I love two people who who really kind of fuel each other's fire. 00:21:56 Speaker 1: You know, when they're in a. 00:21:57 Speaker 4: Relationship, you can tell truly love each other. 00:22:01 Speaker 1: Well, I think that so much. In marriage. 00:22:03 Speaker 5: There's two hills, and I say this, I say this on our podcast. It's like they're pushing two different boulders up two different hills. So they're both pushing boulders up, but it's two different hills. I think a true marriage is you both pushing the same boulder up the same hill. And that requires a lot of long term strategy. What's your vision for your life? You have to have these conversations to make sure you're on the same page because some people's vision is a ranch in New Mexico and the other person's vision is a bel Air mansion. Like, what's the ultimate vision? And how can we work backwards to create those systems to get to the goal? 00:22:37 Speaker 4: Correct? 00:22:38 Speaker 1: I think that's important in a marriage. Marriage is not easy, brutal. Yeah, I think. 00:22:44 Speaker 2: Relationships are a lot of work, and you're constantly changing and sometimes you're not changing together. So how do you come back to you know the root of the relationship. It is a lot of work and it's a lot of people. 00:22:56 Speaker 4: But I think marriage is like people are growing constantly. Like we're all, you know, wanting to evolve. You got to make sure as you're evolving that your partner's evolving with you. 00:23:05 Speaker 2: And that's the same, right, No, I agree with you. So you have a beautiful baby girl. By the way, I was telling Michael Lauren that I watched your guys' stories when you were at Hotel de cat I do not have fomo ever. Okay, I'm completely content in these four walls called my. 00:23:27 Speaker 1: Bedroom watching O G. Housewives all day every day. 00:23:31 Speaker 2: I was having so much fomo and then it like pushed me over the edge when you were with Meredith and her husband from Real Housewives. 00:23:39 Speaker 5: Why don't we all do a six sum next year? Bring the kids with nanny Nanny. 00:23:45 Speaker 3: You guys don't be really fun to get. 00:23:49 Speaker 4: Yeah, we're in. We're next year, we're in. 00:23:52 Speaker 1: Let's go and next. 00:23:53 Speaker 4: Year, let's do it right dir Like at the end of can so I could just pick up the last few. 00:23:57 Speaker 5: Days you have to go with al Pacino, the Mottle, Tonio and John Travolta. 00:24:03 Speaker 1: Then come and hang out with us there, but you do. 00:24:06 Speaker 4: We'll go to the am Far Charity at the end of can together as a group, talk about salt, talk about salt. We'll question everybody no no, but then everybody's gone. Then everybody's gone, and then we'll have like a good vacation because I like it. I like people aren't there. I love to cap and I like it after can because it's actually really quiet. 00:24:25 Speaker 5: We're fun to go on vacation with two because I feel like we're self aware. Like you guys go out to your thing, we'll go to our feet up like it's no pressure. 00:24:32 Speaker 1: We're the same the type of friend that can wake. 00:24:34 Speaker 5: Up and say what you're doing today, give me your itinery someone. 00:24:37 Speaker 3: Popping out of the bushes like it's bunch time. 00:24:41 Speaker 4: We take people on vacation and sometimes we take like a group and go to cob or whatever. I'm like, listen, there's only one mandatory thing, and that's dinner want the first night, and then I don't need to see any of you for four nights. I don't give a fuck. That's how you go, you know, Let's just have a fun kickoff, get wasted dinner and after that, I'm not interested. And we're the same way. We don't. We don't have an Ever. 00:25:03 Speaker 5: Sometimes you go on vacation with people, though, and they want to do breakfast, lunch, dinner and snack and I'm like, I can't know, you know what I mean, I. 00:25:11 Speaker 4: Never go back. I never go back. 00:25:12 Speaker 1: I got to recharge my batteries. 00:25:14 Speaker 5: I feel like you're like me and where everyone thinks you're an extrovert, but you're actually an intro I mean, recharge by yourself. 00:25:20 Speaker 1: Yeah, you got it. You got to recharge by yourself, you. 00:25:23 Speaker 4: Know what I mean? 00:25:24 Speaker 1: Yes, close the door was listening. Went on vacation with us. 00:25:26 Speaker 3: Before, because we're your partners out honestly, don't worry because if they did, we're never going on vacation with them again. 00:25:34 Speaker 4: Yeah right, no, but I'll tell you. We have a trip. We have a trip to Miami for her for a birthday with all of our friends. And I just told them, I said, guys, just so you know, there's no schedule. There's just a birthday dinner first night, and then we don't need to see you for four days. Like it's it's do who wants to vacation. Who wants to go on vacation be told what to do? 00:25:53 Speaker 2: I mean, that's like but you so I'm watching these stories of you guys and can and I'm like, oh my god, I have to be there, teleport me now. 00:26:00 Speaker 1: But you guys said that it was kind of rough. It was rough because we thought we were over zealous. 00:26:08 Speaker 5: And thought we didn't need a nanny. And what I've realized is it's not about having a nanny the whole day. It's just about wanting to go to lunch for two hours, or maybe I'd like to get laid, Like can I have like fifteen minutes to myself without her story to get me like, you know, big eyes in the dark, like she's jet lagged that the jet lag partner one talks about either with a baby, it was a lot. 00:26:31 Speaker 3: Yeah, Well, to contextualize and maybe make it somewhat more like related, boys, we we went and we just thought we don't need we can just do all that. She's eighteen months old. We can go on the long flight, we can go and change. It tells we can have the same type of vacation we used to have together before we had a baby. But we'll just add the baby, and like you just can't. 00:26:48 Speaker 5: Right, just so it becomes me babysitting when he wants to go to the gym, and him babysitting when I want to sit and have a glass of road. 00:26:57 Speaker 4: Yeah, and then you miss the whole point of vacation because you need to re charged with relationship. You need to recharge. 00:27:04 Speaker 1: Oh my god, that's exactly what Michael said. You guys are so on the age. 00:27:07 Speaker 3: I was trying to get after it and then she's like, with the babies there, baby can't see it. I was like trying to put the little blanket. 00:27:13 Speaker 2: These like big beautiful blue eyes, like you can clearly tell she's looking directly at you. 00:27:18 Speaker 5: She looks like an African lemur in the dark, like you know, like she's like staring. I'm like, can you close your eyes on it? You get what I'm saying though, because you said like you're like okay, like and Lama is more like she can just stare at the baby all time. No. 00:27:37 Speaker 4: No, I'm like, bring the fucking nanny in because we're going to dinner and we're getting at it and we're gonna have a fucking great night. And whatever happens is going to happen, and we want. 00:27:45 Speaker 1: To come home better. 00:27:46 Speaker 2: I'm getting better, she was, And it was like, I'm not handing off the baby to this person. Yeah, I was like, now I have her on speed dial. She's like constantly coming in five months. People told me you'll be done with the night nurse by three months. No, fuck that. Last night, you guys, she woke me up at one. She woke me up at two thirty four, forty five. 00:28:10 Speaker 4: Six forty Moving to the other side of the house, she goes, you have to be in the office. Go the fuck to the other side of the house and go to sleep. 00:28:16 Speaker 1: Does it get easier, like eighteen months? Is that easier? Like what is it like? No? Oh no, no, it's twenty five. 00:28:23 Speaker 3: I wish I could say yes, And eighteen months. 00:28:25 Speaker 1: Is snarlier because let me let me give. 00:28:26 Speaker 3: You a visual. 00:28:27 Speaker 4: This is a visual because they can speak. 00:28:29 Speaker 5: You wake up, their eyes opened, they cry, they need Okay, you give them the thing they need. Then they want to go on the ground and walk around. And then this is the thing that you don't even wait till you see this. They open your drawer, they take your CBD pens, they take your knife, that you have in the drawer, they take, they take like your matches. She's lighting a fuck, the house is on fire. 00:28:50 Speaker 3: Has weapons in her drawer. 00:28:52 Speaker 4: Sick, she's like ready for a day. 00:28:53 Speaker 5: She played for forty five minutes with a piece of my vitamin wrapper, like it's it's it's anything that's not a toy. 00:29:00 Speaker 1: They want a lovely at least. 00:29:03 Speaker 4: Yeah, by the way, that's the evolution. 00:29:05 Speaker 5: But she had a knife in her hand once. She loves grabbing the knives at the dinner table. It's like anything sticking your hand in my tequila soda. 00:29:12 Speaker 4: I mean it's she's a year, year and a half. Everything. 00:29:16 Speaker 3: Here's what happened. We went on this trip and it was easy. She would just sit in one place, and it's like the moment we decided to go on a nice vacation, she decided, I can move now, I can walk, I can scream, I can have tantrums, I can grab everything. It was like literally on the way at the start of the trip and we looked at each other, like, what the hell is going on? 00:29:34 Speaker 5: I read about tantrums that you're supposed to say. I understand that this is bothering you, but we can't do this because of this, and then you're supposed to go quiet, like you're not supposed to entertain it. Okay, so that's been my strategy. So at one point she was running around the hotel do Cap butt naked Mike. 00:29:51 Speaker 3: Screaming and I building. 00:29:53 Speaker 1: I'm like, you know, you can deal with it. 00:29:56 Speaker 4: I'm not entertaining main building or eating rock. 00:29:59 Speaker 3: What building. I come home and I'm just from the gym, Like finally I went to the rex. You just hear the child screaming, and I was like, what is that. It's like that sounds familiar. There's not my child. Somebody's got to get fine, Like one of these asshole parents got to get their kid under control. 00:30:16 Speaker 4: That's where I go to. That's why I go to. 00:30:17 Speaker 3: I look over, my kid is butt naked, screaming, having a tantrum. Lauren is just so lobby. 00:30:25 Speaker 1: Yeah, I'm not doing this. I just not entertaining it. 00:30:29 Speaker 3: And at that moment we were just like we like we give you know. 00:30:32 Speaker 2: At some point you you're going to go insane and you just have to let her like calm herself down. 00:30:38 Speaker 4: You I have a hard time with that. 00:30:40 Speaker 1: You entertained the tantrums. 00:30:42 Speaker 2: I can't ocean had like a go last night. 00:30:46 Speaker 4: She was keeping I just had a hard time when they're screaming and I want to, like, I want to talk to them and say you could stop. 00:30:52 Speaker 3: There was no. 00:30:54 Speaker 2: There was no calming her down. She had to do it on her own. It was like I was holding her. Then I put her on the lube. 00:31:00 Speaker 1: I walked around. 00:31:01 Speaker 2: I'm bouncing her binky after binkie. Maybe she doesn't like this nipple, maybe my own nipple, and like nothing was working. It was tough, and I'm seeing like hours pass and finally I was like, Randa, you go sleep somewhere else. 00:31:15 Speaker 1: I put my headphones in. 00:31:16 Speaker 2: I laid her back in her little bed, and I was like, yeah, she cried herself to sleep. 00:31:21 Speaker 4: But it's it's like that's the hard part for me because I'm like, I want to react that. She's like, you gotta just let her sleep. It's like that's a hard But let's go back to the nanny. Ny. Just call her on the other side of the house. She comes running over and before we kill each other, we hand the baby off and then we can. But here's the thing. If we were at home working from home, you know, people then fine, it's a different thing. Like you could get a two hour nap in the morning. At two hours, I have to go to an office every day. She goes to the office every day. It's hard, you guys know, running businesses and. 00:31:57 Speaker 2: Not beyond No, there's no nat like when the baby goes down for a nap, like I'm at work, bro, I it's want to catch it. 00:32:05 Speaker 5: Here's the thing that people have to understand too. Back in the day, kids were raised in communities with tons of people around us, and now I don't. 00:32:12 Speaker 1: Have family up here. 00:32:13 Speaker 5: Okay, I'm working. I'm working and building my business. I think it's impossible not to have have help agree and like, I also think I'm really transparent about it. 00:32:23 Speaker 1: I had a night nurse, I had a nanny. 00:32:25 Speaker 5: There's a lot of influencers and celebrities that act like they do it all themselves, right, but do have all this shit that don't talk about it. 00:32:30 Speaker 1: I know, well, because mom's shaming is real. You have these little troll moms. 00:32:34 Speaker 2: That are like, you don't care about your kid, and it's like, actually, I care a lot about my kid, and I have this luxury that I'm going to be extremely grateful for But if I don't get a certain amount of sleep and I know that I can have a night nurse, Like I I am not going to be a good mom the next day if I'm sleep deprived. 00:32:53 Speaker 3: Well, at one point, when we first had our child, my mom's like, you know what, since we don't need a family up there, you guys don't any help, Like, don't worry about a night nursing. I'll come up to your house and I'll sleep up there with you guys for three months ago. Oh no, you fucking want I like, you are not. I love you, mom, but I was like, you are not coming anywhere inside the house. You come visit you you're here for a visit. It's a scheduled business. 00:33:11 Speaker 4: It's a visit. 00:33:12 Speaker 3: It's a yeah. 00:33:13 Speaker 1: And so you know, the mom shaming is reel. 00:33:16 Speaker 5: They started on me when I was postpartum about a car seat seat. 00:33:20 Speaker 4: Belt she had that she had the car seat, that's. 00:33:23 Speaker 1: The the car seat was. We were actually parked. But but they don't. They just fucking go. 00:33:29 Speaker 5: And then I wrote a post and I was like, I'm not the blogger to come at I go somewhere else. I'm not the one. I don't give a fuck about anyone's opinion when it comes to raising my child. 00:33:38 Speaker 1: And I love that. I'm gonna do you. You do you. 00:33:41 Speaker 4: I need you to coach her a little bit. 00:33:42 Speaker 1: You just can't. I love that. I love that. Yeah, like I'm not the one go troll someone else. And they stopped. 00:33:47 Speaker 3: Well, because here's the thing. Even if you do it the way that those people are telling you to do it, there's another group that disagrees with that way, and then I can't win. 00:33:54 Speaker 2: There was there was a woman. I took a picture of ocean and she was in a stroller. And this woman was like, for the love of God, learn how to put your baby in a car seat. And she had like her handle was like so and so and so and so's mom. 00:34:07 Speaker 1: So I responded, I was like. 00:34:09 Speaker 2: Babe, it scares me that you have two children and you don't know the difference between a car seat and a stroller. It's not a fucking car seat. Like God, you were you know. 00:34:17 Speaker 5: And sometimes you have to call out there there like outlandish comments like shut. 00:34:24 Speaker 4: Up, it's crazy. 00:34:25 Speaker 3: I'll give you. I'll give you a line that you can tell people to say. The coyotes howl and the caravan keeps moving. That's like it's it's the best, especially for both of you, because like people are just chirping in at every angle. Right, It's like you can't, you can you really can't. 00:34:39 Speaker 5: How about just not giving advice over the internet to other people that you don't know. 00:34:43 Speaker 2: But it's like, go do something to someone you you don't know me, You're not like you said your car was parked, Like it doesn't matter, You're not in the environment. You have no idea what's going on at all. I could be mid taking her out because we're gonna go on a little stroll, like don't it's just like enough, shut up. 00:35:00 Speaker 1: But also, like my thing again is who has the time? Like a lot of people have the time. I'm doing something productive. A lot of people have the time. Okay, well, but I mean you don't. You can't. Really. 00:35:11 Speaker 5: I think that if you should take the productive energy of focusing on other people's lives and put it towards your own life. 00:35:17 Speaker 3: Well, again, what we kind of talked about on our show is I try to reverse engineer it and kind of empathize with the type of like why, like why are you in a place where you feel you need to say these things right, And it's most likely because they're in a pain place, or they're insecure, or if something's not going well and it's or there's like it's a reflection on how an inadequacy in their own life. And so what they're doing is are saying Okay, in order for me to feel normal and justify my feelings, I'm going to lash out at others to bring them into this world of pain. It's like, I think, when you think about it that way, it's hard to get angry at those people because you're like, okay, like this is like a person that may be in a broken state of mind. 00:35:51 Speaker 1: It should be a life coach. 00:35:52 Speaker 3: God fuck no. 00:35:55 Speaker 2: But you make so much sense and like it's like you're like the way you put things, it's like, oh, yeah, that is how I should do things. So I read that you guys came up with the name. You say it Zaza, Yes, because you thought that it was Zazagabor. 00:36:11 Speaker 1: I am obsessed with Jasaha Bor. I've always been obsessed with her. Okay, tell me why what it? 00:36:15 Speaker 5: Well, she's had eight husbands and she she made money off each husband, so and became a gazillionaire off each husband, and I. 00:36:21 Speaker 1: Just think it's funny. 00:36:22 Speaker 5: I think it's like she like played the game against the guys back in the day, like she just went in, no prenup, and just like you gotta read her books. It's she's really inspired. She's unapologetically herself. She like she just really was someone who was outspoken in that day and age, and she didn't. 00:36:39 Speaker 1: Play by the roles. 00:36:40 Speaker 5: Okay, So I've read all her books and I would always tell Michael, I'm obsessed with Zazagabor. I'm obsessed with Zazaabor over and over and finally one day he's like, it's Jajah. 00:36:48 Speaker 1: Was this after you named your baby? 00:36:50 Speaker 2: No? 00:36:50 Speaker 5: And then I'm like, oh my god, I'm naming my baby's Azza. 00:36:53 Speaker 3: So the name is like because I think that I think the origin of Jasha is like an old Prussian name. Maybe it's a Hungarian Okay, maybe I'm wrong, but right, maybe fact check. 00:37:04 Speaker 1: But anyways, he's like, but why. 00:37:06 Speaker 3: But I don't like, I don't prefer the name Jaja, And I was like, if you want to call her Zaza, you can't spell it Jaja because that's how you that's how you spell. 00:37:16 Speaker 5: We wants what if she wants to do beauty give them kind of like your name actually la La and Zaza. 00:37:25 Speaker 1: No, that's exactly what it is. 00:37:27 Speaker 2: I love it, except she's lucky enough to have it as her government name and mine's just a nickname. Well, you change your name, I should change my name. 00:37:34 Speaker 1: I mean I feel like your name's Laala. My name is Laala. Do you ever call her Lauren when you're in a fight. That's a good one. 00:37:39 Speaker 4: Yeah. 00:37:40 Speaker 1: See, But that's the thing, Lauren. 00:37:41 Speaker 4: Yours, Laurence's Lauren. 00:37:44 Speaker 1: It is Lauren. That's why I go by Laala because people call me. 00:37:46 Speaker 4: Lauren and it's doesn't Lauren. 00:37:50 Speaker 1: That's not my name. 00:37:51 Speaker 4: What's the different way? 00:37:52 Speaker 1: How do you say it? Lauren? 00:37:53 Speaker 4: Lawreen? 00:37:55 Speaker 2: When I tell people, they're like Laurence, say it Lauren and Laurence. 00:37:59 Speaker 4: And what's other one? 00:38:00 Speaker 1: Lauren? Okay, okay, it's kind of weird Lauren and Lauren. 00:38:04 Speaker 4: It's like a little. 00:38:05 Speaker 1: Customer consumer confusion. Like I can see it's smart. 00:38:07 Speaker 3: You just some of the terrible reviews we get on our podcast. Just to call out our terrible reviews, they get mad at some of this. 00:38:16 Speaker 5: Listen, I'm not giving my energy towards anything it's not important sometimes. 00:38:20 Speaker 3: Be more professional.
