00:00:05 Speaker 1: All right, guys, welcome to give them Laala podcast with Gigi filling in for. 00:00:11 Speaker 2: La La Kift. 00:00:15 Speaker 1: Love it already amazing, so my practice paid off. 00:00:19 Speaker 2: It didn't seem like you got a lot of it, but it worked. 00:00:21 Speaker 3: Oh that was good. That was good. 00:00:26 Speaker 4: What's uh? What's how are you feeling? How are you feeling about this? I know you have a little something to say for everyone. We have a little surprise. 00:00:32 Speaker 1: Oh, we have a huge surprise in the house. Let's give it up for. 00:00:44 Speaker 2: You are a treasure. 00:00:45 Speaker 4: You are you are literally you are the best ever. 00:00:49 Speaker 5: I feel like I should be walking out on like a talk show. I love it. 00:00:56 Speaker 4: Lala, welcome back to the gift to your podcast. They give them all a podcast. How are you feeling? 00:01:02 Speaker 5: I feel so bad because I walked in and saw producers and like didn't give them the warmest of welcome. You didn't well, because it just feels like I haven't been gone. Oh and then I realized I haven't been in studio for over a month. And then I came in and gave him a warm Hi. It doesn't feel like we skipped a beat. And here I am, like not pregnant anymore. Two weeks postpart looking amazing, by the way, Oh tell me more. 00:01:34 Speaker 6: Yes. 00:01:34 Speaker 5: I went to a parent mixer the other night and the moms were so nice to me, and I was like, I don't have a man, so like, please tell me how hot I am again, like this whole entire night, Just tell me you can't believe I gave birth, you know, like all the things that like usually someone's partner says to them and like, my mom tells me, but like, you guys are hot bitches. Can you also tell me she just. 00:01:57 Speaker 2: Got thrown under the bus. 00:01:59 Speaker 7: This is a hot bitch. Looks amazing, she really does. She has the balance back. 00:02:05 Speaker 5: And there is not a dig at you not being you're a hot bitch, but you're my mom, Like you have to say, like you look great, sweetie. 00:02:12 Speaker 7: No I don't. I don't have to say anything. 00:02:14 Speaker 2: That's true. 00:02:15 Speaker 3: She doesn't have to, but she does. 00:02:18 Speaker 4: You do look amazing, but your energy seems amazing. Is there a big difference between how are you feeling how you're feeling now two weeks postpartum with Sosa versus how you felt with. 00:02:28 Speaker 5: Oh, I feel like I was wrecked with oh. 00:02:31 Speaker 3: Really? 00:02:31 Speaker 5: Yeah? Because I had never given birth before, it was like such a shock to my body, even though like, yes, they say that just giving birth, like your body knows what to do, right. But Sosa was two pounds heavier than Ocean at birth and two inches longer, and I feel like she the birthing process with her and just like coming home from the hospital and recovering like I'm kind of killing it. They give you pain meds. My Obi was like, how are we on a scale of one to ten, Like are we needing heavy duty or are we needing like not much? And I was like, I mean, I'm pretty much at a one, and maybe because the hospital was keeping me pretty stable with the pain meds, but dude, I haven't taken them at all. Whereas with Ocean, I was like sobbing, someone put a pain medication inside of me because my vagina feels like it's going to explode all over the walls. 00:03:32 Speaker 3: Really not to be too grad. 00:03:37 Speaker 5: You're welcomed, You're welcome, my goodness. 00:03:42 Speaker 1: No, And you know, I wasn't there for the birthing experience for Ocean in the room right when it happened. Yeah, but I was there with Sosa and it was so beautiful. 00:03:53 Speaker 7: You guys, just was there. 00:03:56 Speaker 4: It was quite literally, yeah, I want to hear what you both think, because I've never been in the room for a birth and it was life changing. And I'm not even saying that lightly. I was like, oh my god, this is like miraculous, this is life. It was the most amazing extent. 00:04:10 Speaker 7: It was beautiful, golden. 00:04:21 Speaker 4: And not being there for Oceans inside the room for Ocean's birth was obviously not your choice, but like, yes, yes, yes, yes, but anyway. 00:04:30 Speaker 5: No, it it really was. I went in, I was I asked to be induced. A lot of people, I think they kind of just let the baby run the show and they're like, this is my due date. But if I go over, like that's the game plan if you want to kickstart labor. I have a night nurse who's also a doula, and so Stocy and I were in constant communication. She's like, if you're done, like, call so and so. She'll have you go through this, that and the other so that it'll kick start labor. And I'm like, no, no, I don't think anyone understands we're not kick starting labor. We're being induced. I know how I want this to go. Like everyone has their their birthing plan right, and as long as we stayed on that path where Sosa didn't come early, like we're on track for the birthing plan. You're always prepared to like have things kind of go sideways or you're veered off into a direction and you kind of just. 00:05:29 Speaker 7: Roll with it. 00:05:30 Speaker 5: But up until what it was my birthday September second, and like she's still not here, I'm not feeling anything like, Okay, the birthing plan is happening the way that it's supposed to. Sosa is a bad a little bad ass. She didn't want to share a birthday with me, so she came the next day. She's September third, which is so wild. I'm like, oh my gosh, my little virgo back to back birthdays. They induced me at what four thirty am. 00:05:58 Speaker 7: We got there at four, check you in, got you into the room, yep. 00:06:02 Speaker 5: And it was myself, obviously, Jess was there, my mom and my sister in law yep. And just a room full of women who I love and adore as I prepare to give birth to. 00:06:18 Speaker 7: The love of our lives, the second love. 00:06:21 Speaker 5: The whole thing was like, that's so perfect. 00:06:25 Speaker 7: No, it was. It was absolutely beautiful. 00:06:27 Speaker 6: Walking into the room after after Yeah, it was just even the energy was very like it was beautiful walking into the room like that. Everything was great. 00:06:38 Speaker 5: It was so calm, it was just like feminine energy. I was giving birth to a little girl, knowing that, like I chose to do motherhood by myself. It was wild because it was like a montage of all this stuff playing through my mind as I'm sitting there being like we're starting the process of like inducing me to give birth, and it was like, oh my gosh. The moment that I reached out to California Cryo Bank and we found the perfect donor, like everything just started playing through my mind and I'm like we're here, like we're freaking doing this. And then all the female nurses. It was just like a room full of fucking female forces. 00:07:22 Speaker 4: Right, it was so beautiful. 00:07:25 Speaker 3: It was so beautiful. 00:07:29 Speaker 4: No, we were all on cloud nine. 00:07:31 Speaker 5: But I will say the most terrifying part was the initial IV that I like basically passed out with with Ocean. I did not pass out with the initial IV. 00:07:42 Speaker 4: I I walk. 00:07:44 Speaker 5: In, They're like, so we're gonna start you on potocin first, and I was like, nah, no, no, no, no, na, hail to the nanana. No, no, it's not stupid though, it's to kick start labor. But why would I want you to kick start labor without turning me in the humpty. 00:08:00 Speaker 7: Dupty first out the pain. 00:08:02 Speaker 5: I was like, no, we're going to first give me the humpty dubby medicine and you know it is all an epidural. 00:08:11 Speaker 7: Yeah, And you know. 00:08:12 Speaker 1: What's so crazy is obviously I gave birth thirty some years ago and they had me just lay on my side and put it, you know, injected whatever they inject for the epidural. But they had her sit on the edge of the bed. It was, it was so much different. 00:08:28 Speaker 4: We walked out of the cheryl and I walked out of the room for that. 00:08:31 Speaker 2: Yeah question, Yeah. 00:08:32 Speaker 6: Was it done the same though? Don't makes sense like you were on your side, you're on the edge of the bed. But was the procedure still the same just this sitting, which, sure it was. 00:08:42 Speaker 1: I didn't see the procedure because obviously I was turned on my side when I gave birth. 00:08:47 Speaker 5: They shove a giant needle into your spine and. 00:08:49 Speaker 1: Your spine, yeah, I didn't want and I did not want to watch hers because that's. 00:08:53 Speaker 5: A little I can't imagine why dignifying. 00:08:57 Speaker 4: Did you have any so you said, with the ocean you had, you know, the ivy you passed out. Did you have any negative experiences with this one as far as those or no. 00:09:08 Speaker 5: With the epidural and the initial just like thing that they put in to continue giving you whatever, the ivy, right, the ivy. 00:09:19 Speaker 4: I'm asking because I'm like, does she want to talk about it? Yeah? 00:09:22 Speaker 5: I want to, So all is good. I don't pass out for either of the things that I thought I would. And then they come in and flip me on my back, and I think I talked to you guys before. When I went to my final doctor's appointment with the anatomy doctor. He put me on my back and I was like, I'm going I'm passing out. He had me turned on my side. He acted unfazed. It happened again, except this time they were like they had me in butterfly position putting the catheter in, and it was too much. I was like, I'm going down. 00:09:58 Speaker 7: I out. Oh. 00:10:01 Speaker 5: I remember turning my head because I knew I was going to throw up, and I was worried that I was going to what's it called aspirate. So I just remember passing out but knowing to turn my head to start vomiting. Yep, and then I come to and it happens again. But apparently it was like, oh, terrifying for me. 00:10:24 Speaker 7: It looked like you're having a season. 00:10:25 Speaker 1: Lisa and I were just fixated and you started your hands started shaking, and. 00:10:29 Speaker 7: I'm like, we have a problem. 00:10:30 Speaker 4: We have a problem. 00:10:31 Speaker 7: We have a problem. 00:10:32 Speaker 4: Something's wrong, something's very wrong. It was actually, I do have to say, my hand was I've never seen anything like that. My hand was shaking. Actually I've seen it once with Katie, but not throwing up. My hand was shaky. And when Lala, when Lala came to, my hand's shaking under and Lala's like, did I just go out? And I'm like yeah, but it was nothing. It was it was nothing. You're fine. 00:10:56 Speaker 6: I'm like you, I'm never going in a room to see even my wife. All I'm saying is a Saw movie, the Conjuring. Just a hell hole in that room. 00:11:05 Speaker 4: Okay, So, but so people understand it was every time you were put on your back, it was just a feeling you had in what like your head, your body. Did you get dizzy. 00:11:17 Speaker 5: She must Sosa must have been positioned in a way that when I was on my back, it just it made it so that I couldn't made me stay away. It made me want to pass out, and so I told them. I was like, I have to be on my side. There's no way that I can't be on my side because I'm going to be out cold. Each time, I would vomit. Right, I vomited both times. 00:11:42 Speaker 1: But it's also like sometimes the nurses and doctors they want to walk through like we're gonna like put a needle in your Oh my god, you'll feel a cool, you know, cool sensation, whatever the case may be. It's like enough information, Like we don't. 00:11:58 Speaker 4: Some people love it, but you're right, Like I loved that you kept saying like, Okay, yeah, she doesn't need to and you said it too, like she doesn't need thank you, but she doesn't need to hear step by seven. 00:12:07 Speaker 3: Yeah, it freaks her out a little. 00:12:09 Speaker 5: And I like even the most simple thing where it's like you just explaining what the medicine does, It's like I don't want to hear any of it. Just come in. I trust you, say Hi, how are you? Let's start talking about my nipple tattoo. I don't give a shit what we talk about. Yeah, right, shove it in. I'm aware that it'll probably hurt. I know what's going on. Don't talk about it. Let's talk about how many times I had to cover up a tattoo or something. I always go back to the tattoos. That is the first thing I start talking about. And it's always, you know, I have a heart around my nipple, always something to really get them like a little thrown off. 00:12:47 Speaker 3: Yeah. 00:12:48 Speaker 7: Well you know what. 00:12:49 Speaker 1: It gives me anxiety when people talk about what's gonna happen next, like. 00:12:52 Speaker 7: Me too and all that. Yeah, I don't want to hear about it. 00:12:57 Speaker 4: Yeah. But other than that, that was really see that was really like and those were small hiccups, but that was like, unless I'm forgetting something, that was really the only hiccup. 00:13:06 Speaker 7: Yeah, I would say. 00:13:12 Speaker 5: The bigger thing for me was them inducing with Ocean. I was induced at like I got there at eight am and then I was hungry, so they were like, we can wait until eleven. This was I mean, do you remember recording me in the kitchen and I was having a hard time speaking. I thought I was stroking yeah, I have it, Like I could not talk why though, where I think I was exhausted. It was like I tried to go to bed that we're. 00:13:38 Speaker 1: Not We're not mourning people. We're not four o'clock in the morning. We are not mourning people. We get sick if we don't get enough resk. 00:13:45 Speaker 4: Yeah, well that's true. I get sick too. 00:13:47 Speaker 7: Yeah, it's notice and Cheryl does too. 00:13:49 Speaker 5: Yeah. I was already feeling like I had a headache from not sleeping enough, and then I couldn't put together sentences. So the bigger thing for me was like I was concerned about not being able to have enough strength to like have a baby. 00:14:04 Speaker 8: And you couldn't I didn't know this. By the way, You just you can't eat. 00:14:09 Speaker 4: You can't eat when you once you get the is it once you get the epidural you just like or is it you chose not to because you didn't want to be nauseous. 00:14:18 Speaker 5: I had like an uncrustable or something before. I think it was like two thirty when I woke up to start getting ready, but like, well, no hospital, No, I knew I couldn't eat. 00:14:31 Speaker 9: But they gave you you can clear thing, so they gave me, like chicken, broth, ices, jello, like all of the things that I did not participate in with Ocean that I did with this because I'm sitting in this room with Ocean, I had windows in my room. 00:14:48 Speaker 5: This one, I'm like, I don't know what time of day it is. 00:14:51 Speaker 8: It felt like weird times of day. 00:14:53 Speaker 4: And then we'd go out in the hallway and be like, oh my god, it's like eight am and it felt like midnight. 00:14:57 Speaker 5: No, I know, it was very strange. It's weird, and I didn't want the lights on because I wanted to sleep. I'm like, there, I'm gonna have to have enough strength to push out a human, and I'm worried I'm not gonna be able to I started freaking out about that after the passing out twice. I was like, there is a chance that I may not be able to do this, especially because every time I'm on my back, which is what I'm gonna be in when I have to push. 00:15:21 Speaker 7: Her out, I'm passing out. I know. 00:15:23 Speaker 5: Yeah, No, that was I think one of my biggest concerns. But it went by so fast. Can I tell you? It felt like the longest day ever. And then all of the sudden. They're like, you're at six centimeters. If you feel pressure in your butt, let us know. So my mom decides to go get coffee for the hundredth time that day. 00:15:47 Speaker 7: I got a pink drink or whatever. 00:15:50 Speaker 2: You went to a coffee shop. 00:15:51 Speaker 5: She went to Starbucks, shout out Starbucks multiple multiple times. 00:15:57 Speaker 2: And she's still so tired. 00:15:59 Speaker 4: Just twice, I am exhausted. 00:16:02 Speaker 5: No, why did she walk in after I had passed out? After I had passed out? Hell of times? My mom has the fucking ovaries. Just walk into my room and say. 00:16:15 Speaker 4: I am exhausted. And then a couple of times for she said, Cheryl and I need to sleep. 00:16:21 Speaker 3: We need to sleep, we need to sleep here I am. 00:16:26 Speaker 5: I'm like, they're coming in every I'm passing out. I've got needles all over my body, including in my huha. They're coming in to change my bag, my pea bag every so often. 00:16:39 Speaker 7: I just wanted to share with you. 00:16:40 Speaker 5: Let me tell you something. When a woman is laboring and then I'm being fisted every fifteen minutes. 00:16:49 Speaker 1: I left and literally you went from a sixth to. 00:16:54 Speaker 2: What they had. 00:16:55 Speaker 4: Oh yeah, I keep telling that story. 00:16:58 Speaker 5: Oh my god, Lisa says to my sister in law. We've got plenty of times. She's got a six. 00:17:08 Speaker 7: We had a crust snack. 00:17:12 Speaker 5: They were enjoying a beautiful day and we had it. 00:17:15 Speaker 1: Was all windows, so it was a beautiful view like pase. 00:17:23 Speaker 2: Up on yourself. 00:17:24 Speaker 4: You remember that. It was exhausted where Lisa was like, no, come with us. 00:17:30 Speaker 3: We have plenty of time. 00:17:30 Speaker 4: And I said, and I was like, She's like, we need one person, at least one person here, so I'll stay. 00:17:36 Speaker 7: You guys come treating Starbucks. 00:17:38 Speaker 5: So that's why Easton, I'm watching. I'm watching Cheryl, my sister in law, and Jessica make eyes at each other like someone needs to stay back. And my mom could not have been by me, like having a baby. 00:17:54 Speaker 2: No. 00:17:54 Speaker 5: I was like, come on, come on, it's gonna be a while. 00:17:58 Speaker 2: It's my tree. 00:18:00 Speaker 7: I'm a bribe. It was. 00:18:03 Speaker 5: It was probably fifteen minutes they had been they had left. The nurse came in. She feels me goes. That's when she said, let me know if you feel the pain in the butt. Right before they leave, I say, I bring the button. I'm like, I'm feeling a little bit of pressure in my butt. It's probably nothing, but it's a little bit. She comes in fiss me for the five hundred at the time that day. 00:18:25 Speaker 4: And she when she says fist, she means fist. No, they're literally they're in there. 00:18:30 Speaker 5: I mean there were times that the nurse came in and she was like, we're not going to break your water because I just felt her fingertips and I'm like, oh no, no literal. I'm like, I'm like, high if I were to put my hands too hot your. 00:18:43 Speaker 4: And then I looked at the nurse. I'm oh, my gosh, she's elbow deep. 00:18:46 Speaker 7: Wow. I did not know see me leaving you guys? What's good? Gotcha where you were? 00:18:52 Speaker 2: Mom? 00:18:53 Speaker 5: Enough enough out of you? 00:18:56 Speaker 4: Keep going. 00:18:57 Speaker 5: So the slightest set of pressure there, accountability, it has not changed, never will. She's sixty three. I've accepted her for. 00:19:05 Speaker 2: His old dog new tricks exactly. 00:19:10 Speaker 7: But I love you, guys. 00:19:11 Speaker 5: I love you too. Nurse comes in says, oh, we're there, we're there. We're gonna call your obie and I'm like, call it. Where's my mom? I'm ready for her to come in. 00:19:25 Speaker 7: Isn't that I came? I was exhausted. 00:19:28 Speaker 4: I think it was either no, no, that's when you came in with your Starbucks bag, just. 00:19:33 Speaker 5: Just trotting, meander, meandering. 00:19:36 Speaker 8: Chatting it up with Cheryl, and I said, the baby's coming. 00:19:39 Speaker 5: Yeah, And then everyone was so excited because you have to remember I had told my sister in law on multiple occasions, they're inducing me on the first, they're inducing me on the second, they're now inducing me on the the. 00:19:51 Speaker 7: Morning of the third, and y she had to change her flight, her flight. 00:19:57 Speaker 5: And she's like, there's a chance that the baby may be born after I have to go home. And I'm like, no, no, no, no, no. If baby doesn't come, I will call your office. You're not leaving. Yeah, we didn't have to worry about that. But everyone gets so excited because our baby's coming. I'm freaking out. They tilt the bed up and. 00:20:17 Speaker 7: How into the queen position. 00:20:18 Speaker 5: No, no, no, it's called throne's position. 00:20:23 Speaker 3: You're the queen, and it looked like a thrown position. 00:20:26 Speaker 4: I'm not even like, I'm not being sarcastic. It was sitting there ready to just oh my god, it was so great. She was straight up too. You were kind of straight up. 00:20:35 Speaker 5: Oh, I was fully straight up. I had to hold onto the bed things so I didn't come toppling over because you know, I was still a little front heavy and they had me like with my legs like this, but justly straight up like that because they were getting the baby to drop more. So she was when I tell you, this baby was not in the birthing canal long. And she's got the head to prove that. 00:20:57 Speaker 7: She's beautiful head, the most. 00:20:58 Speaker 5: Gorgeous head you've ever seen in your life. 00:21:01 Speaker 7: Round, perfect round, and perfect beautiful. 00:21:04 Speaker 1: She really is beautiful. And I'll tell you something. The nurses were like the best. They were the best. They were the best, but they are also like just telling us how beautiful she was. 00:21:16 Speaker 4: And hey, you're jumping up too far. 00:21:18 Speaker 5: Oh I haven't reached yet. 00:21:23 Speaker 7: We were talking about her beautiful head. 00:21:24 Speaker 5: Mybi my Obie, who is the most fabulous Obie in the entire world. 00:21:29 Speaker 4: He is a man. 00:21:31 Speaker 5: He's a man, a straight man, straight man. He's got the most calming energy. 00:21:37 Speaker 7: I adore that man. 00:21:38 Speaker 5: I adore him, so tilts me back. Jessica started recording a video at ten eleven pm. By ten thirteen PM, my baby Angel was in the world. 00:21:53 Speaker 4: And you guys, I started recording before before the first push correct it. 00:21:59 Speaker 7: I was. 00:22:00 Speaker 4: I have never been more shocked in my life. I thought there was gonna be an hour and thirty minute long video I did. I thought, you push, and then it's like the head is here, and then twenty minutes later, the shoulders are on. I didn't understand, but. 00:22:15 Speaker 7: Tell him about when well it. 00:22:17 Speaker 5: Was in the video. It got a little now that I know what was going on. I didn't at first, but during like my second to last push, he kind of stands up really fast and he's fixated on the monitor and he's making eyes with the nurse who's reading things to him that I clearly don't understand because I'm not a doctor, and he looks nervous and I'm like he goes, I'm like, is everything okay? And he goes, YEP. I just want you to keep pushing. We're gonna keep pushing. And I was like, tell me when to go. He's like, I want you to go right now. The cord was wrapped around her neck a couple of times, and he stayed calm because I could see that something was wrong, but he didn't let me know that. She comes out, they put her on my chest and I go to hug her, but you know, embrace my baby. But the way that the nurse is acting with the baby and she's not crying, she does one cry and then it stops, and my hands are freezing. So I'm like, I'm not touching her because I don't want to like send her into shock. And I keep asking you recorded this. I keep asking the nurse is she okay? 00:23:27 Speaker 7: Is she okay? 00:23:28 Speaker 5: And they're like rubbing her chest, sucking things out of her mouth. Apparently, for Mama, it was great that she came out so quickly because I didn't have to push very many times. But with a fast birth like that, she swallowed a lot of fluid, amnionic fluid, to the point where during our stay in the hospital they were going to discharge me the next day. But she had so much fluid that she was vomiting all the food she had. She had an appetite, she was breathing okay, like everything seemed. She had her coloring, her tummy was soft. But then the nurses come in and they're like, we're going There was one time that I think she she turned purple because the nurse called in a bunch of other nurses. She was freaked out. 00:24:20 Speaker 4: This was the next day. 00:24:21 Speaker 5: This was the next day. She They then bring in a specialist and they're like, we want a surgeon to look at her, because you know, this isn't normal. And we've we've we got ten millileters of amniotic fluid out of her stomach the first time, then we got another eight, then we got another however many millileters, and they go and now we're draining it through the nose and it won't stop. And they said, we're either going to have pediatric surgery deal with it, or we want to keep her in the nickeo. And so of course I'm beside myself. I'm like, what the fuck? I had nothing? But and they come in and they're like, what was your pregnancy like? And I'm like it was perfect, Like literally. 00:25:10 Speaker 7: They were just kind of perplexed for a minute. 00:25:13 Speaker 5: That they were perplexed. But as someone who's not a doctor and I don't know these things, I had a beautiful pregnancy. She kicked my ass, she was active every there were no concerns, right, there were a ton of concerns with Ocean, and Ocean went home a healthy baby. So I'm like what, I started feeling guilty. I'm like, what what did I do during this pregnancy that maybe I didn't do with Ocean because you do kind of ease up on the second pregnancy. 00:25:38 Speaker 4: But I don't understand why they said, what is your pregnancy like versus it sounds like it was the labor and she came out so fat, Like why does the pregnancy have anything? Would have anything to do with that? 00:25:48 Speaker 5: They were perplexed. 00:25:50 Speaker 1: Yeah, I were trying to you know, we've we've pumped your stomach three times, we put it to you know, down, Yeah, what could it be? 00:25:58 Speaker 7: Okay, Okay, Yeah. 00:25:59 Speaker 5: It didn't seem like they were trying to like say that I had done something because they even I started crying and they were like, you did nothing wrong during fright. We're just we're a little confused. Cut to they do send me home. She's fine. 00:26:14 Speaker 7: They're not. 00:26:14 Speaker 5: They're not concerned anymore. They're like, she's just gonna have to, you know, get it up and spit it up. 00:26:23 Speaker 6: Change colors, isn't that why used to be like yellow and a little it was like Foster me, which is like bright yellow. 00:26:31 Speaker 5: Then it was it had blood in it from like. 00:26:35 Speaker 2: Because I remember the nurse side. 00:26:37 Speaker 6: If this still goes on, we have to keep her again, but it was easing up when I was there. 00:26:42 Speaker 5: Yes, that's very Do you remember that. 00:26:44 Speaker 4: Do you remember right after you gave birth, like a few minutes and they kind of pulled the fluid out. 00:26:50 Speaker 8: Do you remember them showing you how much? 00:26:52 Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, out of the thing that was the yellowish fluid. 00:26:58 Speaker 4: Then they took out of her. It was a lot, it was a ton. Yeah, So I am surprised. Actually they didn't keep her for longer, Like that's a great. 00:27:06 Speaker 2: I was surprised, honestly. 00:27:07 Speaker 6: When I was going and back and forth, I was thinking you were going to be there at least another night or two. 00:27:12 Speaker 1: I really, well, we were only supposed to stay over night and leave, and we actually stayed two nights. 00:27:16 Speaker 6: But and that was your decision. They said you could leave or stay another night, or I would. 00:27:21 Speaker 5: Leave the baby, but the baby would stay. 00:27:23 Speaker 2: And I'm like, I'm leaving. 00:27:25 Speaker 5: I Am not leaving my baby here while I go have a nice sleep at home. First of all, I wouldn't have a nice sleep, but like I know, yeah, no, like this is my cub, my baby, right fuck that noise? 00:27:41 Speaker 2: Yeah? 00:27:41 Speaker 4: Yeah? But all yeah, how is she now? 00:27:44 Speaker 5: All is fabulous. She's gained a pound in one week. 00:27:47 Speaker 1: Speaking of poundage, I guess the right weight? 00:27:53 Speaker 2: Did you how much? 00:27:54 Speaker 4: Oh? 00:27:55 Speaker 7: We all had a little pot going. Jessica started it. 00:27:58 Speaker 5: Yeah, I thought it was very Yeah said eight point three pounds, eight point three pounds, and how many inches? 00:28:05 Speaker 4: Did you say? 00:28:05 Speaker 5: Like twenty two? 00:28:07 Speaker 4: No, that wasn't far off, though. 00:28:08 Speaker 2: I said twenty one something. Maybe No, I said twenty point something point eight or. 00:28:13 Speaker 8: Twenty because she was twenty point eight. 00:28:16 Speaker 2: Oh, then I think I said twenty one. He did the length. 00:28:20 Speaker 1: But I said eight pounds, No, no, seven? Sorry, you guys right, I said seven pounds eight ounces, and she was she was seven pounds eight ounces right to the money, I said seven points. 00:28:33 Speaker 4: I think right to the money. What did you guess? 00:28:37 Speaker 7: You guys? 00:28:37 Speaker 4: Seven point two? 00:28:38 Speaker 7: Maybe? 00:28:39 Speaker 5: I think I was at seven three and I did like twenty one inches. 00:28:45 Speaker 4: I think timing wise, we were all pretty off, except she know was close or no. 00:28:50 Speaker 7: I think Ortney was close close. 00:28:52 Speaker 5: Courtney said she was going to come at one am, and she came at ten, which is. 00:28:56 Speaker 2: Said that that's the closest one. 00:28:58 Speaker 4: I guess like she said eleven. 00:29:02 Speaker 5: Then she was closest we had bets going, and all I know is she came out and she was is the most gorgeous thing I've ever seen in my life. 00:29:14 Speaker 2: She's a pretty baby. 00:29:15 Speaker 5: She is a pretty baby. And I feel like the hospital did not have to say that they see a lot of babies. I just don't feel like they have to. And there were nurses that would come in and do a double take of my child and say she is beautiful. 00:29:34 Speaker 4: She has these almond eyes like she is. 00:29:38 Speaker 7: She looks like. 00:29:43 Speaker 2: She does she does. 00:29:44 Speaker 5: I'm looking at her and I'm like, you look like my my uncle's baby photos, my mom's baby photos. I look identical to my mom. So clearly you look like me. And what's great. 00:29:57 Speaker 4: Stunning? So clearly she is a ten out of she. 00:30:02 Speaker 5: Looks She's so stunning. She looks just like she is. 00:30:08 Speaker 6: So the best thing was Lauren when she was like she was got done breastfeeding her and I walked in the house and she goes, I hate it. 00:30:14 Speaker 2: I feel like I'm breastfeeding moll. 00:30:19 Speaker 5: Ther time she opens her eyes and I'm like, is literally can. 00:30:27 Speaker 7: I tell you guys, she is so sweet like I have. 00:30:32 Speaker 2: Doesn't make trauma from my two. 00:30:36 Speaker 4: Ocean? 00:30:37 Speaker 1: Yeah, they were so they were so colicky, and so I have postpart of trauma, trauma from. 00:30:45 Speaker 4: From the way their health, their looks, their. 00:30:52 Speaker 7: Very beautiful babies. No, I didn't mean for that holicky and. 00:30:56 Speaker 1: So okay, this baby, my fingers are so crossed, but so far she's dream baby. 00:31:02 Speaker 5: I cannot stop just like kissing this baby. What's different between this baby and Ocean. We've spoken about this before, but I remember with Ocean I cried a lot, but not out of sadness, but I couldn't. It was like the first baby, and I feel like it was a kind of a heavy environment that I went home. 00:31:24 Speaker 7: To with with that environment. 00:31:27 Speaker 5: Nightmare environment, and I wouldn't wish it upon anybody. This baby is like so happy and I sel. 00:31:36 Speaker 1: Calm the environment though you guys, you don't even know she's awake, like you'll you'll look at her and she's wide awake. 00:31:44 Speaker 2: Just look at her. 00:31:45 Speaker 1: She's so even the night nurses have said how alert she is, and you guys, she can pick her head up. 00:31:52 Speaker 4: Let's talk about that. 00:31:53 Speaker 5: I told y'all, no, let's talk about it. This baby is kicking my ass. She's headbutting my bladder. It feels like I was like, she's kicking with her heel, like that's just what it felt like. Okay, she comes out, they lay her on my chest for the first time. She lifts her head and I'm like, oh my god, no, she did. 00:32:13 Speaker 4: We were I was like, oh, something was in the water, Like she's gonna be. 00:32:17 Speaker 3: Like a spider Man of. 00:32:18 Speaker 4: Sorts, truly like a superhero because she literally is minutes old and she's just basically walking around the room, is what it felt like. She lifted her head like, hey, what's up. 00:32:32 Speaker 5: Yeah, it was no, she was headbudding my bladder and she does this thing with her feet where she's like and she's so stiff, you guys, And Lauren was so stiff. 00:32:43 Speaker 1: Lauren was so stiff as a child, like trying to change her diaper. 00:32:46 Speaker 7: Good luck. 00:32:47 Speaker 4: Can you tell the cute thing, Nolah, you said when she came out and you put her on your chest, she was literally moving the same way that. 00:32:56 Speaker 5: She was moving identical. There was no difference. I was literally looking at the little person that had been living inside of me, and she was making the exact same movements that she was doing in there, except now she was upright, whereas before she was down there. 00:33:13 Speaker 4: And you're like, are you kidding? Can we talk about something that I know everyone's going to want to know Ocean first meeting her? 00:33:23 Speaker 3: You guys talk about it. 00:33:25 Speaker 7: Ocean is the best big sister, like. 00:33:28 Speaker 4: Tell us set the scene? 00:33:30 Speaker 8: Where were you? When did she get to meet her? 00:33:32 Speaker 7: All of it? Yeah. 00:33:34 Speaker 5: I brought her to the hospital because I asked her, I said, do you want to meet your baby's sister at the hospital because that can be scary for kids. Ocean does not like doctors. I said her, do you want to wait until mom comes home? And she said she wanted to come to the hospital. So Easton brought her and she sits on the couch. 00:33:51 Speaker 2: We have ADEO, we have a video. 00:33:54 Speaker 7: But can I tell you to Easton is the best uncle. 00:33:58 Speaker 5: Yes, thank you, we're emotional. 00:34:02 Speaker 3: No, it's beautiful. 00:34:02 Speaker 4: Everyone's gonna want to know if you are comfortable to share unless you want to keep it it's a private moment. 00:34:08 Speaker 7: No. 00:34:08 Speaker 5: I think I am able to have such an amazing podcast and able to share these things because I'm on a show that's about my life and these moments weren't captured, which you know, I do have my private moments, but like you guys are all so supportive for listening to the podcast, watching shows, following me on Instagram, like I want you guys to be a part of this. But she was so sweet and delicate, Oceanise, that when I put her on, she looks at her and she's she's so cute. Look at how little she is, mom. And that's how the first meeting was. And then it was. 00:34:53 Speaker 4: So suck. Watch me do a backflip. 00:35:00 Speaker 5: To the baby, and she's like, I'm gonna take her swimming. 00:35:02 Speaker 4: I'm like, none of we're not taking a swimming. 00:35:05 Speaker 2: She wants to go to ball and bounds with her. 00:35:08 Speaker 5: Oh yeah, she wants she wants to go down the slide at candy Land. 00:35:12 Speaker 2: Mom. 00:35:12 Speaker 5: I'm like, she doesn't. She doesn't even know where she is right now. 00:35:17 Speaker 1: But Sosa, I thought it was really cute because she gave her a gift, and I thought that was really so. 00:35:22 Speaker 4: I gave ocean a gift that was aful idea. What's together a baby? Oh, another baby? 00:35:29 Speaker 5: A real It looks like a real baby. And if you were to wake up and a light was on it in the middle of the night, you may think it's going to kill you. 00:35:36 Speaker 4: But it's You may also think it's Summer Moon. Cute, it's Summer Moon. 00:35:42 Speaker 7: No, it's no. 00:35:44 Speaker 4: The company may have a lawsuit because they took Summer Moon, Summer Moon into an adult. It's like into the baby. 00:35:51 Speaker 1: These babies that I bought Lauren as a child American. 00:35:56 Speaker 5: And by the way, it doesn't seem like it's going to kill you. It's the cutest baby. It just looks so it looks real that if you were to wake up and see, you'd be like, there's a baby watching me in this room, right, And it's I say it, but it's the. 00:36:07 Speaker 7: Same brand that I bought her as a child. 00:36:10 Speaker 5: And Ocean breastfeeds it while I breastfeeds. 00:36:12 Speaker 2: So sad. 00:36:12 Speaker 7: And then she asked me the other day. 00:36:15 Speaker 5: I asked my mom because I went to, like I told you guys, a parent mixer for Ocean School, because I needed to feel like a human being. Still, I'm like, I need adult interaction. I need to not be covered and spit up and having my three year old bully me at bad time. All right, I just needed five minutes. So I asked my mom, can you please feed the baby? And Ocean looks at her and she's just you have. 00:36:40 Speaker 7: Milk and your boobies. 00:36:41 Speaker 4: G Ocean is so freaking cute. She's so cute with the baby. I do have a question though, because everyone wrote in and remember they warned you. They were like, she's gonna act out, just be prepared to have you had any moments like that are pretty much pretty good. 00:36:59 Speaker 5: Here's what it is. Ocean is a firecracker, right, she is the Ocean. She can be calm one minute and then the next minute, we've got a rogue wave, duck and fucking cover wherever you possibly can. 00:37:11 Speaker 7: Right. 00:37:13 Speaker 5: So, I think it's less that she's acting out and more that I can't designate all my time to just her when she goes through those moments. I don't feel like she's changed. No, No, it's just more now where it's like the whole household is having to tap in. Like this morning, you should have seen me and Lise. I woke up at six point thirty to feed Ocean, got in my bed, we got her off to school. Thank God for Teti, who drove her to school. The moment she was out of the house and Sosa was asleep, Lisa and I were passing each other on the stairs with a basket of laundry. 00:37:50 Speaker 7: It's like in the dishwasher. 00:37:51 Speaker 2: It was like, oh, yeah, we have a minute. 00:37:54 Speaker 1: Life has changed a bedding dress for the day. I usually don't even get dressed anymore. 00:37:58 Speaker 2: You don't have time. I've seen it, but he does. 00:38:01 Speaker 4: Moms used to say, or moms, I would hear. Moms be like, you don't know how thankful you are to like just have a moment in the shower. And I used to be like that is so dramatic, Like what do you mean to have a moment in the shower? You have kids, like you can get in the shower. But from what I hear, Yeah, that's real. 00:38:19 Speaker 7: I'm not even the contacts and I'm doing. 00:38:23 Speaker 6: There was a comedian and he said, when you have kids, you have no idea how much you enjoy shutting that back door and the quiet walk to your own door is like when you're in your car. Wow, I never really noticed that. Yeah, Like after I put Ocean in the car and I shut her door, I'm like, all right, five second. 00:38:42 Speaker 5: It's a. 00:38:48 Speaker 7: Kids the best. 00:38:50 Speaker 2: They're just talking all the time. 00:38:52 Speaker 7: No, there's nothing better. Look at me. 00:38:55 Speaker 1: I'm widowed, and what would I where would I be if I didn't have these two angels. 00:39:00 Speaker 5: That's true. 00:39:02 Speaker 7: I love to. 00:39:03 Speaker 2: Say thank you. 00:39:04 Speaker 6: You really are amazing, and I don't we tell you all the time, but I have to let everybody else know that you really are gold, and thank you for just keeping everybody up right. 00:39:13 Speaker 2: You're the rock. 00:39:13 Speaker 7: I really do. But kids are a treasure. 00:39:16 Speaker 3: Kids are a treasure. 00:39:17 Speaker 5: But again, if you don't want them, no judgment. 00:39:21 Speaker 6: It is. 00:39:22 Speaker 7: I have a friend that never had kids, you guys. She and her husband, they travel the countryside. 00:39:26 Speaker 5: They okay. 00:39:29 Speaker 4: See, this is why it's so funny because every time I talk to and I know that's not what this is, but they're like, you know, I don't get sleep. I am I haven't showered in weeks. I uh, you know, am miserable. But kids are just a treasure. Oh my god, but. 00:39:44 Speaker 2: That sounds selfish. 00:39:45 Speaker 6: Every time I see people like I don't want kids, I'm like, you are a selfish motherfucker? 00:39:49 Speaker 4: Really? 00:39:50 Speaker 2: Yeah, Like I need sleep, I want to do what I want. 00:39:52 Speaker 1: It's like, okay, and then your kids give you these beautiful grandkids. 00:39:56 Speaker 4: See see that might be me though, you guys, maybe I'll be this selfish auntie because I've got so I've got oh, I've. 00:40:03 Speaker 5: Got Carter now, like I've got. 00:40:04 Speaker 4: So many babies. 00:40:05 Speaker 5: I'm like, you got three kids, and you get like the best part, Like when they act up, you don't have to deal with it, when they discover their private. 00:40:13 Speaker 2: Part, you don't have to deal with that. 00:40:15 Speaker 4: I grabbed my person. 00:40:18 Speaker 2: That's a that's a mama talk. 00:40:22 Speaker 5: Who I will say, if you don't want like the women who come to me and they're like, I just don't know if I want kids, I'm like, then don't have them. 00:40:30 Speaker 7: You need to know. 00:40:32 Speaker 5: You it's if you if you feel like you want kids but you're waiting to be ready, you'll never be ready. But if you don't know, don't do it right. 00:40:41 Speaker 4: Okay, So in this on that note, do you feel that it seems you do the one is What do you think about the statement one is one, two is twenty? 00:40:50 Speaker 5: I think because I prepared myself so many people were like saying things like that or two kids is no joke that I prepared myself for it to be really hard, and I know that those moments are gonna come where it's like this is unbearable. I think we've got a good system where we can pass. Like Lisa was at her wits end last night. I could feel it. 00:41:11 Speaker 1: Well, she was get done home and we tried to put her to bed and she spills water all over her bed. 00:41:19 Speaker 2: Well, no, you gotta say. 00:41:20 Speaker 6: She gets into her backpack for today, last night, lunch for tomorrow. 00:41:27 Speaker 4: Yeah, she isn't me, that is that is me. She got I am her. 00:41:32 Speaker 1: She got in and got the seaweed and then all of a sudden, I hear bawling and she's. 00:41:36 Speaker 4: Like bite. 00:41:39 Speaker 5: And we're like, wow, what are you doing that? You would bite your tongue at ten pm? 00:41:44 Speaker 4: Go to bed. 00:41:45 Speaker 7: No, she kept coming out, and then she'd come out last night. What was she saying? 00:41:49 Speaker 5: It's really cute because we put her to bed and then we watched shows and then like there and she'll cut all seriously and she mom, I really like that sounds that song. And I'm like, I'll download it and we'll listen to it on the way to school tomorrow. 00:42:03 Speaker 1: Like a bad monkey. She or, no, not bad monkey. It was perfect couple. 00:42:07 Speaker 7: Every couple she saw the theme song of That and the Criminals. 00:42:10 Speaker 5: By Megan Trainer. She's obsessed. She'd come out of her room like this. 00:42:14 Speaker 2: Oh, no, is that why she likes the criminal thing. 00:42:16 Speaker 6: She's always like, you're going to jail, jail, you were bad, You're going to jail. 00:42:21 Speaker 1: I love it, Can I tell you? We put her in her jammy, She got in bed. Then she comes out in a full princess Tiara high yells the whole nine yards, telling us she loves the song and dancing. 00:42:36 Speaker 5: I was telling mom, we got to take the toys out of her room. 00:42:40 Speaker 7: Oh, because I wanted her. I was stacked with toys and books. There's no place for her. 00:42:45 Speaker 1: So then last night she spills the water all over the bed, Like, did you do this on purpose so you can get in my bed or your mom's bed? 00:42:52 Speaker 7: Or was this? 00:42:53 Speaker 5: She's so smart. 00:42:54 Speaker 4: I wouldn't put that past her. 00:42:55 Speaker 7: She's so smart. 00:42:56 Speaker 5: No, she did chilled on purpose. 00:42:58 Speaker 6: No, she did because I know this because and I was watching her when you were in the hospital. 00:43:02 Speaker 2: She will grab her water and put the lid on. 00:43:05 Speaker 1: Yeah, she did it five six times, so yeah, No, she ended up sleeping with me, and then she trotted it too her mother's room. 00:43:14 Speaker 7: At what six. 00:43:15 Speaker 4: She trotted six? 00:43:17 Speaker 5: What was I had just fed? So it was probably three oh three okay, three yourself. Yeah, she was, mom, you need to cuddle me. 00:43:25 Speaker 7: No, but this is what happened. You came down into my room and you tried to turn her. 00:43:31 Speaker 5: Oh, make it so my child doesn't slide off the bed. She was like schowamp. Her feet were like off. So I turned her vertically and then she woke up and put her head on what's called a pillow. She moves a lot, and Lisa goes, well, that's why she came in and moved her. 00:43:53 Speaker 2: I was like, I did. 00:43:58 Speaker 4: I did. 00:44:00 Speaker 7: Her so much. That's just so. I was just angry that you took her from me. 00:44:03 Speaker 5: I'm kidding, No, it was I got it though. You weren't like you weren't mad, but you were ready for bed. It was like we had tried to put her down for like three hours. It was like enough already. And then I'm thinking we'll clean out the toys. But then she keeps putting on her clothes. I'm like, I'm gonna have to clear out the whole closet. 00:44:21 Speaker 4: She's so this is such to me, such a good sign, because she's so imaginative. She is up, she's thinking, she's playing. She's not like head in the iPad up. 00:44:33 Speaker 2: Creative. 00:44:34 Speaker 5: Let's just say this. When I went to this get together at her school where they had a bunch of people come in to talk about elementary school, my first question was, are you more academic or are you more creative? My kids are creative? 00:44:52 Speaker 4: Yeah, and I think that's going to be more academic. 00:44:55 Speaker 2: Yeah. 00:44:55 Speaker 5: We'll see. 00:44:59 Speaker 2: Though she will be Will. 00:45:03 Speaker 4: Can I ask law? Because I know some people have asked and ask society would consider you a single mom, even though I know you don't say that because you have you know. 00:45:15 Speaker 2: Age. 00:45:17 Speaker 5: Do you have. 00:45:18 Speaker 8: Are you comfortable talking about the help you have right now? 00:45:21 Speaker 4: If any? 00:45:21 Speaker 7: Yes? 00:45:22 Speaker 3: Of course. 00:45:22 Speaker 5: I think it's important to talk about the help that you have. And I also think it's important for moms to know that when you are at your wits end, if you need to tap in a friend and you say it's too much for me, I need a moment and a break to not feel guilty. Even if your baby is two weeks old and it's new and you're like, how do I already need a break? You need a break? 00:45:44 Speaker 1: Like and it's okay to ask, and it's okay to ask for help. 00:45:47 Speaker 5: It's also okay to be like wow, I have this beautiful new baby. Why am I not happy? 00:45:52 Speaker 2: Put your put your oxygen mask on first. 00:45:55 Speaker 5: Yes, before helping others. If you have just given birth and you're like, why am I not connecting? Why do I not feel happy? Because you just gave birth to a human and it's a lot and there's a lot of hormones happening and chemical imbalances. It's all good. Reach out and talk to somebody about it. The help that I have, I obviously have my brother Easton. I have my mom, who's a tremendous amount of help. I am fortunate enough to have been able to bring on a night nurse who takes care of Sosa three nights a week so that I can get some sleep and I only have to wake up to pump. Right now, I have a doula that I'm fortunate enough to bring in so that I can be here in podcasts with you guys. 00:46:41 Speaker 4: What's a doula like a nanny or like an infant nanny or something. 00:46:45 Speaker 5: A doula is someone she's trained as a night nurse as well, but adula is someone that you bring on and it's you can bring them on from the time you get pregnant. They kind of help you through your pregnancy in this stage of motherhood and baby's life. There they're professionals on right, Like and nanny I would bring on when my child's a little bit older. Nan Ocean's first nanny was when she was four months. So a doula is just someone who's like really trained on the beginning stages of motherhood and baby's life. 00:47:20 Speaker 7: Okay, and your night nurse helps to sleep train. 00:47:24 Speaker 5: Yep, sleep train, get you, get me, sleep washes the pump, put sit outside my door so that I can just wake up feed. I send her a text milk's ready, she grabs it. I have. Again, I'm fortunate enough to have the help that I have. And that's why when I say I'm a single mom, I don't really feel great about using that because I know single moms who are working two three jobs and I. 00:47:51 Speaker 7: Don't know how single moms do what they do. 00:47:54 Speaker 5: Yeah, super like, No, they're superheroes, they really are. Yeah, truly, I'm am in the sense that I'm a single income household, which there are many moms who do that, and that's why I think they consider me a single parent. In the state of California, but I don't feel that way. Yeah, I feel like you have a lot of support. Yeah, I don't feel that way. I do have a lot of support. 00:48:20 Speaker 7: Yeah. 00:48:20 Speaker 4: No, thank you for being like open and honest with that, because that is like something I definitely realized. I think as a nanny too. It is just like, oh, interesting to see, you know, as a nanny years ago, like these certain families who get a lot of help, even the single moms and single parents versus maybe a friend of mine who just had a baby but got a divorce and like what she's So it's everyone's on. 00:48:45 Speaker 8: You know, there's a whole spectrum. But thank you for talking about it. 00:48:48 Speaker 1: And I think postpudent depression needs to be talked about a lot because I. 00:48:52 Speaker 7: Suffered from it. 00:48:54 Speaker 1: And you're taking your placenta pills, yeah, and that wasn't a thing. 00:48:58 Speaker 7: When I was going through mine. 00:49:00 Speaker 5: No, And a lot of a lot of people wrote in and they were very anti. And this is me letting you know my experience with taking my placenta in a capsule form, I have noticed it helps me tremendously. At the beginning of this pregnancy or birth, I was sobbing a lot and my mom would say, she's been the one that's telling me like, did you take your placenta pills? Cares for care, far, cares far. 00:49:30 Speaker 2: But I liked it. 00:49:33 Speaker 1: I lived postpartum depression, I wrote firsthand. 00:49:37 Speaker 5: So from my age rough I cannot even imagine. So from my experience, it has helped me a lot. When I feel like my mood is plummeting and I'm kind of going, why am I feeling this way? I get to like, chill with my baby and live a beautiful life. If you're feeling depressed, I mean, I wreck amend you reach out to a doctor, but I would not like shit on taking your your placenta home or having someone encapsulated. 00:50:09 Speaker 4: My sister did not do it, and she did regret it, and she would be fine with me focusing or mentioning that. Speaking of placenta, though, I will mention I handled Lalla's plica like. 00:50:20 Speaker 5: No, no, no, but I feel can I tell you if I were more together? But I had just had the baby. 00:50:26 Speaker 2: And I was and I was exhausted. 00:50:29 Speaker 5: But over looking over at you do that. I after I got some sleep, I was like, I cannot believe I allowed Jessica to do that. 00:50:40 Speaker 4: What are you talking about? I felt like such a bad bitch. They were like you. So basically, what I understand is I don't think that the hospital can only handle your placenta to a certain extent. They can't put it in the coolers and stuff because that's for the company that does the placenta capsules. So the nurse was like, yeah, we can only do this. So I put the gloves on, I got the placenta out of the pan, dumped it into. 00:51:04 Speaker 3: Where it needed to be. It looked like, you know, like meats and. 00:51:08 Speaker 7: A sausage painting roast. 00:51:13 Speaker 4: And I dumped it on in and I said, oh, there's a lot on dumped it ruller and then we filled it. We put ice around it, and it was. 00:51:22 Speaker 7: And then got picked up. 00:51:23 Speaker 3: I was pretending I was. 00:51:24 Speaker 4: In Rai's Anatomy. 00:51:25 Speaker 8: I was in such a scene. I was like putting the gloves on, washing the. 00:51:28 Speaker 2: Hands, I giving rat Race with the heart. 00:51:32 Speaker 8: I don't even remember that seed, but yet. 00:51:37 Speaker 5: I love that movie. No, the placenta pills are everything. I recommend if. 00:51:45 Speaker 6: You don't sort to interrupt, If you don't do placenta pills, is there another alternate route you could take? 00:51:52 Speaker 5: You can take it home and like eat it as you turn it into for postpartum depression. Well yeah, just for we're postpartum depression. 00:52:00 Speaker 7: I am elve shots, that's what I like. 00:52:02 Speaker 6: If you don't eat, like, if you disregard your placenta like that, like what do like. 00:52:09 Speaker 7: Shots? 00:52:09 Speaker 1: And then they also can put you on depression medication, which I opted against because I was too afraid. 00:52:16 Speaker 5: But you said now because it was a different day. In fact, then you said now, you would have done that right. And I am saying it is not proven that the placenta pills cure or help your postpartum depression if you suffer from that. I am talking about from my personal experience, it has helped level me out. Whether that's scientifically proven or. 00:52:40 Speaker 2: Not, placebo effect or whatever is, it helps. 00:52:44 Speaker 5: So I'm saying, reach out to somebody, a professional if you are struggling. 00:52:50 Speaker 7: Even a friend. You guys like, make it known. I'm struggling today. I need help. 00:52:55 Speaker 5: I know that it will pass. 00:52:56 Speaker 2: Yeah. 00:52:59 Speaker 5: Yeah, I am so happy that she is here. And I will say, already she's she's two weeks and I'm not entirely sure that I'm done. 00:53:14 Speaker 2: She told me she was done. 00:53:17 Speaker 1: I know she brought her first, brought her home, and I said too early to tell, too early. 00:53:22 Speaker 4: You really think you could have another? 00:53:23 Speaker 5: I'm I just like love the whole thing. 00:53:28 Speaker 7: Well, and she's like she's born to have kids. 00:53:30 Speaker 1: Hello, bounce back. Yeah, the whole pregnancy. Like you, you're really blessed. You really are well. 00:53:36 Speaker 7: Thank you. 00:53:36 Speaker 5: Beyond that, I just enjoy it. They give me so much. 00:53:40 Speaker 7: Mama too, you are the best mom. You're beautiful at what you do. 00:53:47 Speaker 2: Like I wish everybody could see how great you are. 00:53:51 Speaker 7: Thank you. 00:53:52 Speaker 5: I think I'm glad that no one gets to see that part because it's so special. 00:53:59 Speaker 4: I like, I love it. 00:54:00 Speaker 7: I love Lalla. 00:54:01 Speaker 1: She'll have like the baby on the boob and then she's fixing oceans. 00:54:07 Speaker 7: It's really beautiful to I. 00:54:09 Speaker 2: Love seeing my sister in that position. It really is amazing and beautiful. 00:54:12 Speaker 4: Thank you, of. 00:54:13 Speaker 3: Course, best mom. 00:54:13 Speaker 4: I'm so happy from the best mama A. 00:54:17 Speaker 7: Guys, Yeah, yeah, I'm very proud of you. 00:54:20 Speaker 4: Were so welcome to the world. Miss so suck. 00:54:24 Speaker 7: I love it. 00:54:26 Speaker 5: Should we do ache and Relief? 00:54:28 Speaker 7: Yeah, let's do it. 00:54:30 Speaker 5: You got off like pretty easy, though, because you were supposed to be hosting the whole episode, and she's like, She's like, you got a. 00:54:36 Speaker 4: Good night's sleep, Why don't you come in and talk about her? All right, I'll come. 00:54:41 Speaker 5: Oh, do you want to start us off on the aching release? 00:54:44 Speaker 1: Yeah, but I don't really have any aches because I've been in such bliss with this baby. 00:54:49 Speaker 4: I love it. 00:54:50 Speaker 5: So this is the only episode that I would allow you to get away with no egg. 00:54:55 Speaker 7: Yeah, I have no aches. I just adore those kids that you've brought into this world. 00:55:00 Speaker 5: Thank you. 00:55:00 Speaker 2: Love them and your relief. 00:55:02 Speaker 4: They love the g they I mean, you have like the classiest, like funniest gig. 00:55:11 Speaker 8: I was gonna say Grandma, but I'm like, no, it doesn't work with me. 00:55:14 Speaker 7: I'm the g Yeah, I love Leno. 00:55:16 Speaker 6: She says, Hey, g can I go and pick her up sometimes from school when they can or learns like working or something law. 00:55:22 Speaker 2: Sorry, Like I'll go. 00:55:24 Speaker 6: And get her and like I wake her up in her knapsack, and sometimes she'll look at me and go where, Mama, where Gigi. I'm like, well, I'm here, you little shit. 00:55:31 Speaker 5: That made me so happy. The other day I surprised her and picked her up from school, and she didn't realize that, like I was there because you know, Easton's been taking her and she sees Brock and she's a little disoriented because she just had nap time, and so I've been down. I go, hi baby, and she's mama and she was. 00:55:52 Speaker 6: Yes, it was like the best picking her up when she's in like in her nap time. 00:55:57 Speaker 2: Yeah, there's nothing better. 00:55:59 Speaker 4: She's so cute. I love seeing her. 00:56:01 Speaker 7: Hi good. 00:56:03 Speaker 2: I love when you tell her that it's really. 00:56:07 Speaker 5: Tt what's your ache and relief? 00:56:10 Speaker 6: My relief is this baby just being here and just the energy and the aura in the house and just everything. I'm very very I'm I feel at home at home. It sounds weird, but like I feel great. 00:56:22 Speaker 2: And my ache is what I've just told you guys. I feel just very off and I don't know why. 00:56:28 Speaker 6: So I feel off today and I'm hoping it's it'll pass. 00:56:33 Speaker 5: It will pass. 00:56:34 Speaker 6: So yeah, No, I have a lot of tools that I can use. I've got an amazing family, and like. 00:56:38 Speaker 2: I said, home feels like home. So I feel like that. My ache is just I don't feel like I should. 00:56:43 Speaker 6: Be and everything like that, and I got to just get over that hump. But I do want to say thank you to everybody who d ms me and sees how I'm doing with the mental issues I you know, voiced and things. 00:56:56 Speaker 2: So that's just what the ache is. It's here again kind of it comes in wave. So that's okay. But thank you to. 00:57:01 Speaker 6: Everybody, and we love you back, love you, love you, guys, so thank you. 00:57:05 Speaker 8: Thanks for being honest about that too, and just feeling off. 00:57:09 Speaker 4: Maybe try Lalla's placenti pills. I said, I'd be like, Okay, take a nap. 00:57:20 Speaker 3: Cannibalism. 00:57:21 Speaker 2: That is cannibalism, read a book at home, read it. 00:57:25 Speaker 1: But you sit out in the sun and read a book sunshine. 00:57:28 Speaker 4: Yeah, twenty minutes of sunshine a day, uninterrupted. 00:57:32 Speaker 3: Guys. 00:57:32 Speaker 2: Yes, that's what I need. But there it is. 00:57:34 Speaker 4: Yeah, onto you to me my ache and relief. My relief is definitely just being able to be present for baby Sosa. That was like a gift you gave me and it was beautiful. 00:57:44 Speaker 5: I was so happy to have you. 00:57:46 Speaker 4: It was amazing. And also baby Carter being born just a few days later. I'm an auntie. 00:57:56 Speaker 5: Too, right, he was on the fifth a little boyfriend and girlfriend six or. 00:57:59 Speaker 4: The seventh, Okay, yeah, possibly, we'll see He's a just a cuteie patuity, and so that is my relief. My ache is that I haven't met him yet, but I am going home October second to the fifth, so I will be meeting him, chilling with him, bringing him to jiu jitsu, so that I won't be bringing him. Everyone relaxed. I'm not gonna be that's. 00:58:25 Speaker 5: Messed up, Jessica. 00:58:26 Speaker 4: He's a baby. He's a baby. No, he's so cute. 00:58:32 Speaker 5: And you sent your sister like the best of the best, like postpartum. 00:58:36 Speaker 8: Yeah, thank you Bige for helping out too with that. 00:58:39 Speaker 5: Well, you know, I just love when babies come into the mix. Yeah, I have a friend who's. 00:58:44 Speaker 7: Trying the best. 00:58:46 Speaker 4: It is. 00:58:46 Speaker 7: It's so the best, Jerry, it's the best. 00:58:52 Speaker 5: So I have I do have an ache, and I obviously have a relief. Okay, I'll do my relief first. My relief is when I was pregnant with Sosa, because it was a different pregnancy, and I've been very open about this. I'm like, how will I ever love anybody my own child, even as much as I love Ocean Kent, Like, there's no freaking way. And I had prepared myself. I had prepared myself during childbirth. I was like, she may come out and you may have a different reaction than you're expecting, and you may have it may take some time. And the moment she popped out, I was like, oh my gosh, I know what people mean, like, you have more love to give. You're fully capable, you love them the exact same, but you love your kids differently, right, So that was a huge relief that when she popped out, and even now, like I can't I mean, I'm just like I can't get enough of her, Like at night when it's just me and her and she's on the boob and we're just gazing at each other because that's the bonding moment right for me and her, and I'm just I'm fucking obsessed with her, Okay, So that was a huge release. Yeah, my ache is I'm upset that we are not more progressive with the breastfeeding thing. I don't like that it's kind of something where it's pushed on you breastfeeding. It's not asked in hospitals. They just say we're sending in the lactation specialist instead of saying do you plan on breastfeeding? Are you interested? Is it something you'd like to know more about. If so, we'll send in a specialist. I wish that it were more like that, and I would think in twenty twenty four it would be more like that, because number one, it's extremely difficult. 01:00:50 Speaker 7: It can be. 01:00:50 Speaker 5: I've had friends where it's like it's so isolating. I don't want to breastfeed my baby. I don't like it. It depresses me. I feel like moms should be able to make the call instead of like they've freshly just given birth and it's like lactation specialist. It's like, well, hold on, like this wasn't a part of my plan. So that is my ache. Because it happened to your sister. 01:01:09 Speaker 4: It's a great acre. It did happen to her. She is now officially bottle feeding the baby. But you guys, I did she allowed me to stay on here. She went in with a plan of bottle feeding. Everyone around her knew she ended up getting There was a lot that went on during her labor. She did end up getting a little pressured to breastfeed. She did end up trying it against a lot of our wishes against her, and she was like, this is why I had a plan. And now she's on the bottle. But yes, I'm glad you said that. 01:01:37 Speaker 7: Yeah, well, can I make a statement as well? Yes? 01:01:40 Speaker 1: I thought it was weird because we got a second room for me to stay. 01:01:44 Speaker 5: Yeah, they called it the dad's room. 01:01:47 Speaker 4: Yeah, that's not progressive, Like we're in LA if they're calling it the dad's. 01:01:51 Speaker 6: La right, and now they don't need it's the primary bedroom. 01:01:56 Speaker 4: Yeah, as a master yeah. 01:01:58 Speaker 2: But they're still using that term. 01:01:59 Speaker 1: And medical yes, and like what if you had a I stayed in the dad's room. 01:02:03 Speaker 4: It's like what if you're a single mom or you had a wife. 01:02:07 Speaker 7: Yeah, just throw that out there. 01:02:09 Speaker 4: Thank you, Lise. 01:02:11 Speaker 5: That was the best though. When I filled out the birth certificate and there was no dad information and I get a phone call. They're like, Hi, we're wondering if we can come by your room to talk about so say's birth certificate. And I was like, I know where they're coming. They were like, so, hun, are we just not interested in putting the dad's information? I go, I got a sperm donor and they go, well, great, perfect, that's all we needed to know. 01:02:34 Speaker 4: No, thank you dad. It is interesting. It's very interesting still, the energy of like are we not even the question, and I know that they meant well by it, and they were great, but the question even of like do you not want to put the dad? 01:02:49 Speaker 6: But I can see where they're coming from because the baby just was born. 01:02:52 Speaker 2: All of this is going on. 01:02:53 Speaker 6: Who knows if the dad was like, oh I got to fill that out, his mind was elsewhere. 01:02:56 Speaker 2: I can see where. 01:02:58 Speaker 5: I was not offended by them coming in. But it was so nice because it was my first experience being like. 01:03:05 Speaker 7: A baby, she's just your. 01:03:10 Speaker 4: I love it. 01:03:10 Speaker 5: I'm so happy that I got to come in and be with you. Guys. 01:03:14 Speaker 2: We're glad you came in too. 01:03:15 Speaker 7: Made my job really. 01:03:20 Speaker 2: Didn't want it. 01:03:22 Speaker 5: Well, this is your episode, so take us out. 01:03:27 Speaker 1: Thanks for listening to the La La Podcast and hope to see you back. 01:03:32 Speaker 2: I'm right, I was terrible, but we did it.
