<v Speaker 3>in review here. As Anthony is actually Anthony Didmarco is
<v Speaker 3>going to be taking half of this show and giving
<v Speaker 3>his thoughts on the week in review, and I appreciate
<v Speaker 3>that as I'm a bit limited on time here on
<v Speaker 3>my vacation and doing the best I can as I
<v Speaker 3>as I mentioned last night in the mailbag, for just
<v Speaker 3>giving you guys content and trying not to interrupt our schedule.
<v Speaker 3>So with that said, though, I did miss an email
<v Speaker 3>or two in the Patreon side of things, and I
<v Speaker 3>want to get to those right off the bat for
<v Speaker 3>those of you who are on Patreon who took the
<v Speaker 3>time to message me, I'm gonna do that right now.

<v Speaker 3>day with Clash at the Castle in Cardiff, in my hometown,
<v Speaker 3>well home city. I first started watching in nineteen ninety
<v Speaker 3>eight and was an avid fan until about two thousand
<v Speaker 3>and four, and then watched off and on until Clash
<v Speaker 3>brought me back into the game. Not missed a single
<v Speaker 3>show or pod since. Well, I appreciate that. Got plenty
<v Speaker 3>to ask, but I'll keep it down to a couple
<v Speaker 3>of points. Firstly, Gunther is indeed Austrian, and I also
<v Speaker 3>turned my head when Orton said German. But he's always,
<v Speaker 3>as far as I can remember, been billed as German.
<v Speaker 3>His profile says the same. I guess Germans just make
<v Speaker 3>better villains. I wonder why not the first time wwe
<v Speaker 3>have changed someone's nationality for entertainment purposes. I guess, yes,
<v Speaker 3>we're looking at you, Kofy. So the thing is, though
<v Speaker 3>he is billed from Austria, though do in his entrance
<v Speaker 3>does he does it not say Austria? I mean, what
<v Speaker 3>is his? Because I don't know off the top of
<v Speaker 3>my head. We all just kind of did not really
<v Speaker 3>think about it. When you're hearing the entrance from the announcer,
<v Speaker 3>does it not say Austria, I don't remember it saying
<v Speaker 3>and from Berlin, Germany. Gonah, I don't hear that. I
<v Speaker 3>don't think so it's interesting then and again, if they
<v Speaker 3>are trying to make believe that he is from Germany
<v Speaker 3>and we're gonna go with it, then fine, I'll go
<v Speaker 3>with it. But if they just screwed up, then I'm
<v Speaker 3>gonna call them out for it. You know, Randy Orton
<v Speaker 3>was just saying, you know, your home country, it's not
<v Speaker 3>his home country. So yeah, it's interesting, but thank you
<v Speaker 3>for that. I know the sets Titan, Tron, Ring Ramp
<v Speaker 3>are not a massive thing for you, but they've obviously
<v Speaker 3>really downgraded them over the last year. They say this
<v Speaker 3>because of the logistic reasons, totally understandable, but barely as
<v Speaker 3>soon as January first hits and that five billion dollar
<v Speaker 3>contract kicks in, that sets will be bigger and better
<v Speaker 3>than ever. I can honestly see this Netflix switch taking
<v Speaker 3>WWE up another level, even at a time when it's
<v Speaker 3>as hot as it's been in years. You can already
<v Speaker 3>see hints at it in certain stories. Cheers, and remember damn,
<v Speaker 3>I need to work on my Mike's Mike drop sign

<v Speaker 3>heard whether or not. Maybe you do know, and maybe
<v Speaker 3>other of you out there know this better than I
<v Speaker 3>do and follow these things better than I do. I
<v Speaker 3>don't know and haven't heard anything about them re upgrading
<v Speaker 3>the Titan Tron and presentation. They very well may do
<v Speaker 3>that with this massive Netflix deal. They very well may.
<v Speaker 3>It's not something I really think too much about. To me,
<v Speaker 3>it's about story, it's about entering action. You know, presentation
<v Speaker 3>is important, but the Titan Tron an entrance way. Think
<v Speaker 3>about how piss poor they were. If you've watched back
<v Speaker 3>in ninety seven or even ninety eight, what that used
<v Speaker 3>to be. It used to just literally be a black
<v Speaker 3>curtain and w was as hot as it's ever been
<v Speaker 3>maybe will ever be, when production wasn't nearly what it
<v Speaker 3>is now now. Expectations have changed, Technology has changed, the
<v Speaker 3>standard at which you expect things to be presentatives has changed.
<v Speaker 3>But my point about it is, in nineteen ninety eight
<v Speaker 3>nineteen ninety nine, they had a JumboTron and things started
<v Speaker 3>to get upgraded at that point. But the product was
<v Speaker 3>already on fire before that happened, and they use those
<v Speaker 3>that those revenues to increase their production and their the
<v Speaker 3>optics of the show. And that's that's great. So you
<v Speaker 3>can have an absolute very successful show without upgrading any
<v Speaker 3>of the visuals. You really can. So I don't feel
<v Speaker 3>one way or the other really about it. I know,
<v Speaker 3>as you said, Yeah, I don't really care too much.
<v Speaker 3>But we'll see. Yeah, they very well, very well may
<v Speaker 3>hit that switch come January first and make things pretty
<v Speaker 3>all right. Let's get to Frank, and he says, this
<v Speaker 3>is Frank. I was thinking about this and stuck. So
<v Speaker 3>when John Cena comes back, should he go for the
<v Speaker 3>Intercontinental title and be a Grand Slam champion or go
<v Speaker 3>for a world championship? In breaking the record and on SmackDown,
<v Speaker 3>do you think Roman should face Cody at WrestleMania for
<v Speaker 3>the third time and set a record or have Roman
<v Speaker 3>versus Solo and Rock versus Cody. Okay, let's break this down.
<v Speaker 3>Should John Cena prioritize if these are the only two
<v Speaker 3>choices Intercontinental or World title when he comes back. I
<v Speaker 3>say that world title should be in his sights. If
<v Speaker 3>he went after the IC Championship. I feel like it
<v Speaker 3>would be very much. It's I don't know, it's it's
<v Speaker 3>not to disrespect the championship, but all the accomplishments of
<v Speaker 3>John Cena, all of the things he's done for the organization,
<v Speaker 3>for the business, the Intercontinental Championship is not something he
<v Speaker 3>should be chasing. It would be to me viewed at
<v Speaker 3>as he's doing this to check a box. You know
<v Speaker 3>that said John Cena hasn't won a big match in
<v Speaker 3>a long time, and he'll be the first to tell
<v Speaker 3>you that his win lost record is got off of
<v Speaker 3>the last few years, and that's simply because he's in
<v Speaker 3>the Gibbs, that big give backstage of his career. That's
<v Speaker 3>why he lost so much over the last several years.
<v Speaker 3>And there was a lot of times he'd compete once
<v Speaker 3>a year at best, and I think twenty twenty two
<v Speaker 3>was that year, so or twenty twenty three. So anyway,
<v Speaker 3>that's how I would view it world title. And yes,
<v Speaker 3>I do think, because this is the next logical question,
<v Speaker 3>that he should be a seventeen time champion. I do
<v Speaker 3>think he is worthy of that. No disrespect to Flair
<v Speaker 3>at all has nothing to do with Flair. But John
<v Speaker 3>Cena and his body of work and everything he's done,
<v Speaker 3>it's deserving. You can make it an argument that his
<v Speaker 3>career is bigger than Rick Flair's. I'm not saying it is.
<v Speaker 3>I'm not trying to start that argument or debate, but
<v Speaker 3>you could. I think any smart person would say there's
<v Speaker 3>at least an argument there.
<v Speaker 2>All right?
<v Speaker 3>On SmackDown? Do you think again Roman should face Cody
<v Speaker 3>at WrestleMania for the third time. No, that has come
<v Speaker 3>and gone. That's done. It's time for Cody to move on,
<v Speaker 3>and Roman Reigns is not that guy. They don't want
<v Speaker 3>Cody as a heel. They're done with Roman for being
<v Speaker 3>a heel. Roman's been a heel for four years now.
<v Speaker 3>It's a great time to turn in babyface. No need
<v Speaker 3>to turn him back to heel. So the answer is
<v Speaker 3>a very strong no on Roman Cody three. And your
<v Speaker 3>second question of setting an inside a record or have
<v Speaker 3>Roman versus Solo and Rock versus Cody on SmackDown? Okay, well, again,
<v Speaker 3>it depends on when you're asking that these things should
<v Speaker 3>be presented. Roman versus Solo is already what we're getting,
<v Speaker 3>and in fact, I would imagine next week, they should
<v Speaker 3>make something official for Bash and Berlin of Roman reins
<v Speaker 3>versus Solo Socoa. I'd be very shocked if they didn't.
<v Speaker 3>At which point, I think Jimmy and Jay or Paul
<v Speaker 3>Hayman or all three will make their triumphant return to
<v Speaker 3>help Roman reigns at Bash or the SmackDown after they're
<v Speaker 3>very close to returning. And I think that that's a
<v Speaker 3>given at this point, which is fine, and Cody, or
<v Speaker 3>rather Sammy's Ain will follow and tow the Rock will
<v Speaker 3>probably be the one to turn on Roman, pretending that
<v Speaker 3>he's there to help Roman. I could see Roman. Here's
<v Speaker 3>the thing, here's how I think the Rock is going
<v Speaker 3>to be reintroduced. I know this is not a question
<v Speaker 3>you asked at all, Frank. This is what happens here
<v Speaker 3>on the show. I just go on tangents. But there's
<v Speaker 3>so many things to talk about. I would say when
<v Speaker 3>the Rock comes back, it'll be a moment in which
<v Speaker 3>Roman Reigns is in peril. Jimmy can't save him, Jay
<v Speaker 3>can't save him. Maybe they are incapacitated. Sammy's Ain is
<v Speaker 3>not yet in the picture, or if he is, he's
<v Speaker 3>also somehow incapacitated. And then you're gonna have the Rock
<v Speaker 3>come out. It looks like he's about to save Roman,
<v Speaker 3>and instead he hits a rock bottom on Roman, doubling
<v Speaker 3>down on his heel turn, and we all learn that
<v Speaker 3>the Rock was the one who orchestrated this mutiny of
<v Speaker 3>a blood line. I think that's how you're gonna do it. Rock.
<v Speaker 3>Looks like he's gonna come out be the Knight in
<v Speaker 3>shining armor. Wham, he's not. He's there to actually continue
<v Speaker 3>the beatdown of Roman reigns and his og bloodline. So
<v Speaker 3>as far as again Rock and Cody, I have no
<v Speaker 3>problem with that, but I would not not under any circumstance.
<v Speaker 3>But Cody versus the Rock above Rock ver Roman likely
<v Speaker 3>a babyfaced Roman versus a heel Rock. But the heel
<v Speaker 3>Rock is so entertaining. Can you really say he's a heel?
<v Speaker 3>People are absolutely loving the final Boss. Sure, on paper
<v Speaker 3>he's a heel, but come on, you know so thank
<v Speaker 3>you Frank, and I apologize to both Frank and Dan
<v Speaker 3>for not getting this in the mail bag yesterday. Now,
<v Speaker 3>before we get into the week in review with Anthony,
<v Speaker 3>I just want to give a couple quick, A couple quick,
<v Speaker 3>I guess opinions on what's going on this week, and
<v Speaker 3>obviously with the Roman segment taking out the whole bloodline,
<v Speaker 3>it was kind of and reclaiming that necklace that I
<v Speaker 3>spoke about last night. That's ridiculous that that's what makes
<v Speaker 3>you the travel Chief. It's not it's an actual physical item,
<v Speaker 3>which is ridiculous, but it's symbolic. I just don't believe
<v Speaker 3>that it should be the actual titles given by holding
<v Speaker 3>a single item. But I digress. Overall, SmackDown I thought
<v Speaker 3>was fine. The Street profits versus DIY was a kick
<v Speaker 3>ass match. I loved it. Grayson Waller and Kevin Owens.
<v Speaker 3>I will say that there might be a heel turn
<v Speaker 3>for Ko coming, but they could be getting you off
<v Speaker 3>the path where you think Ko is going to be
<v Speaker 3>the one to turn and turn in back to the
<v Speaker 3>old Kevin Owens, which he almost did with the power
<v Speaker 3>bomb on the ring apron to Grayson Waller. But it
<v Speaker 3>could be just to get you off the scent of
<v Speaker 3>Randy being the one to turn, because I think you
<v Speaker 3>can't have these three massive coexisting babyfaces on SmackDown with Ko,
<v Speaker 3>Randy and Cody. Someone's turning and it's sure as hell
<v Speaker 3>is not Cody unfortunately, Kevin Owens. We've been there, done that, Randy.
<v Speaker 3>It's been a hot minute. It's been a hot minute,
<v Speaker 3>as the kids say. So, I think Randy Orton is
<v Speaker 3>a perfect candidate for that. And you'll likely that at well,
<v Speaker 3>I don't want to say at Basher in Berlin, but
<v Speaker 3>it could happen at bash as soon as there, but
<v Speaker 3>more likely later in the year when they know they
<v Speaker 3>have an ace in the hole. So, and what else
<v Speaker 3>did I want to talk about very quickly here on
<v Speaker 3>the Weekend Review before he passed the torch to Anthony,
<v Speaker 3>the women's division, Naya Jacks, Tiffany Stratton, the Queen's coronation,
<v Speaker 3>whatever it was right with Nya, and holy hell, did
<v Speaker 3>Niam Jacks have a whole lot of makeup? Oh my god?
<v Speaker 3>And here this is before Oh look at where he
<v Speaker 3>goes attacking women what they're wearing. I'm just objectively saying,
<v Speaker 3>put all that other stuff aside, put all the stuff
<v Speaker 3>aside about just for the moment, because this has nothing
<v Speaker 3>to do with it about my concerns about women's wrestling
<v Speaker 3>regressing by what they wear. That's not the point here.
<v Speaker 3>So I want to differentiate what my point is going
<v Speaker 3>to be. Nijack, and this is as simple as it gets,
<v Speaker 3>was wearing a probably a five pound bag of makeup
<v Speaker 3>on her face. I don't know why she was wearing
<v Speaker 3>so much makeup. It was way overdone and distracting. Nya
<v Speaker 3>is she is, you know, she's got attractive features on
<v Speaker 3>her face. I think she became a distraction with the
<v Speaker 3>load of makeup she had. And I know, oh, he's
<v Speaker 3>making a big deal about it. It was just a
<v Speaker 3>crazy amount of makeup on Nya's face. But moving on,
<v Speaker 3>I mean, Tifoty Stratton is also usually covered in makeup
<v Speaker 3>to the nth degree, So I mean it's just an observation,
<v Speaker 3>all right. It took away a little from the segment.
<v Speaker 3>It was weird Nya asking everyone to bow down to them.
<v Speaker 3>The feminized tag team that is really emasculated in feminized,
<v Speaker 3>which is kind of one and the same of Pretty
<v Speaker 3>Deadly were there to bow down to Naya and do
<v Speaker 3>her bidding or whatever. And it's fine. I don't really
<v Speaker 3>care about Pretty Deadly. We already looked at them as
<v Speaker 3>kind of the feminine jokes of a tag team. You
<v Speaker 3>always got to have that tag team that's just you
<v Speaker 3>don't take too seriously. You don't really hate. They're just
<v Speaker 3>there to get their ass kicked, and that's pretty deadly.
<v Speaker 3>That's by definition what they are right now. And Tiffany Stratton,
<v Speaker 3>you know, that was a weird segment, but ultimately I think,
<v Speaker 3>you know, I think it did its job, all right.
<v Speaker 3>I think it did its job and maybe I'll have
<v Speaker 3>some more thoughts on it in a future show, maybe
<v Speaker 3>on Tuesday or something. But anyway, I wanted to touch on that,
<v Speaker 3>and I mean I could. I'm not gonna go over
<v Speaker 3>too much on Raw because we all know what happened
<v Speaker 3>on Raw and I have a whole show dedicated to it.
<v Speaker 3>The Brown Breaker Sammy's ain't stuff I already went over.
<v Speaker 3>But I think that's kind of it for the time being.
<v Speaker 3>As we roll closer and closer to Bash in Berlin,
<v Speaker 3>which is just a couple of weeks away at the
<v Speaker 3>end of August, and we'll be rolling into another pl
<v Speaker 3>there and then in September, I got to look at
<v Speaker 3>see what the schedule is because does it just go
<v Speaker 3>to No Mercy or I'm sorry, bad Blood is bad Blood?
<v Speaker 3>The next one I'll have to look It might be
<v Speaker 3>it very well could be, because then it gives you
<v Speaker 3>four weeks in change to build. Yeah, it's got to
<v Speaker 3>be bad blood, right, it has to be, So I'll
<v Speaker 3>pretend it's that until I hear otherwise. But that's just
<v Speaker 3>my quick thoughts. Guys, not a ton on this week
<v Speaker 3>in WWE. Anthony will cover a little bit more of
<v Speaker 3>it in his weekend review, And for those of you
<v Speaker 3>who are on the NXT plus and above, this week
<v Speaker 3>got a little bit of a rewind retro which focused
<v Speaker 3>on the collapse of Vince McMahon by the Wrestle Magic Team.
<v Speaker 3>They covered that this past February and I wanted to
<v Speaker 3>repost it. I thought it was a good one for
<v Speaker 3>you guys to listen to. Really kind of an insane
<v Speaker 3>story of one of the biggest minds in wrestling, one
<v Speaker 3>of the greatest minds in wrestling, biggest I mean businessmen
<v Speaker 3>in the WARLD collapsing because of a sex scandal and
<v Speaker 3>hush money and all this stuff. Really amazing. And one
<v Speaker 3>last thing I'll mention before I hand the torch to Anthony,
<v Speaker 3>there was a rumor going around and I think it's
<v Speaker 3>made its way on X and other places that Linda
<v Speaker 3>McMahon was saying that Vince McMahon's health is declining rapidly.
<v Speaker 3>Apparently this is not true. It couldn't be further from
<v Speaker 3>the truth. That's the you know the reports now that
<v Speaker 3>it's the complete opposite. So I guess I'll take that
<v Speaker 3>at face value. But I could also see where Vince's
<v Speaker 3>health would be declining greatly, and if it does, then
<v Speaker 3>you know, maybe we could be looking at a Vince
<v Speaker 3>McMahon tribute show. And you do wonder if Vince McMahon dies.
<v Speaker 3>And I'm not saying he's in imminently going to die,
<v Speaker 3>but we all are and eventually, even though he did
<v Speaker 3>beat God in a tag team match back in two
<v Speaker 3>thousand and six at back with his son Shane, he
<v Speaker 3>did defeat God, but I don't think he defeated Death.
<v Speaker 3>So there's a distinction there, and that means that he
<v Speaker 3>will die and we eventually do will And I would
<v Speaker 3>think see a Vince McMahon tribute show, you just wonder
<v Speaker 3>if they would do it given the circumstances. I mean,
<v Speaker 3>how can they not given everything that Vince built and
<v Speaker 3>meant to the professional wrestling, not just his company, but
<v Speaker 3>how many companies piggybacked off of him. And yes, he
<v Speaker 3>did absolutely swallow up some companies. He puts some companies
<v Speaker 3>out of business. But that's called capitalism capitalism. Rather, that's
<v Speaker 3>called just being in a free market and working your
<v Speaker 3>ass off to be the best. And so I think
<v Speaker 3>that eventually Vince will get his tribute videos and interviews
<v Speaker 3>and things. And I hope Vince, I really do hope
<v Speaker 3>that Vince isn't in poor health. But if he is,
<v Speaker 3>then you know, we'll find out shortly, I'm sure. But
<v Speaker 3>all right, I'm gonna pass the torch to Anthony here
<v Speaker 3>as we wrap it up. On my vacation, I am

<v Speaker 2>after Dark on the WWE podcast. It is Sunday, August eighteenth,
<v Speaker 2>very very late this week. I had a lot of
<v Speaker 2>personal stuff going on. It got away from me, and
<v Speaker 2>I think to everyone here at the WW podcast is
<v Speaker 2>kind of running late this week, but I just got
<v Speaker 2>finished up watching SmackDown not too long ago, and I
<v Speaker 2>kind of wanted to give my own two cents, mainly
<v Speaker 2>on SmackDown, but I guess maybe my own kind of
<v Speaker 2>view of the weekend review, go through SmackDown, maybe like
<v Speaker 2>segment by segment, and then give him some quick quick
<v Speaker 2>thoughts on Monday Night Raw, because I thought SmackDown was impactful,
<v Speaker 2>not in all the best ways, but mainly because of
<v Speaker 2>how it opened, and that was the placement of Naya
<v Speaker 2>Jacks opening up the show with her ceremony as Queen
<v Speaker 2>Nya as the new WWE Women's Champion as well as
<v Speaker 2>Queen of the Ring and for reference, I am citing
<v Speaker 2>Bleacher Report to go segment by segment. Obviously, the inclusion
<v Speaker 2>of Pretty Deadly was obviously hilarious. I like Pretty Deadly
<v Speaker 2>in a comedic role. I think they're damn funny. I
<v Speaker 2>think their comedy done right and wrestling, I think they
<v Speaker 2>probably have a shelf life. And I mean that's not
<v Speaker 2>a revolutionary take by any stretch, but their placement here
<v Speaker 2>is hilarious. And Nia Jack's being presented at the top

<v Speaker 2>Naya more than most in her first run with WWE,
<v Speaker 2>but if I'm speaking objectively here, obviously she she left
<v Speaker 2>a lot to be desired, and I think how Triple
<v Speaker 2>H has booked her since she returned I believe it
<v Speaker 2>was right around this time last year, has been nothing
<v Speaker 2>short of impressive. She feels like how she was supposed
<v Speaker 2>to feel during her first run with the company as
<v Speaker 2>a monster heel. It looks like She's got herself into
<v Speaker 2>better shape as well optically and even in the ring.
<v Speaker 2>So I really like what they're doing with Nia Jacks. Obviously,
<v Speaker 2>the stuff with Tiffany Stratton as the women money in
<v Speaker 2>the bank holder and Nya's right hand woman for at
<v Speaker 2>least the time being is a nice long term story
<v Speaker 2>that they're for sure going to tell. I hope that
<v Speaker 2>they let this burn slow, not only because I want
<v Speaker 2>Nia Jacks as a champion for quite a while here,
<v Speaker 2>but also because I think Tiffney Stratton should be one
<v Speaker 2>of the women to hold the money in the bank
<v Speaker 2>briefcase for the longest, you know. The longest running money
<v Speaker 2>in the Bank briefcase holder on the women's side, I believe,
<v Speaker 2>was Carmela who was the inaugural briefcase winner in twenty seventeen,
<v Speaker 2>and she cashed in on Charlotte. I think it was
<v Speaker 2>the SmackDown right after WrestleMania thirty four or shortly thereafter,
<v Speaker 2>and everyone since has either cashed in the same night
<v Speaker 2>or before the turn of the new year, I believe.
<v Speaker 2>So I'm hoping. I'm hoping that they're going to prolong
<v Speaker 2>this with Tiffany Stratton. I think it's good for the
<v Speaker 2>briefcase and also good for the story as well as
<v Speaker 2>keeping nia Jacks as the champion. Obviously, Meechen mia Yim,
<v Speaker 2>however you want to call her, is the one here
<v Speaker 2>to break up the party with a kendostick. They're really
<v Speaker 2>trying to position Michin as a formidable threat to Nia Jax. Obviously,
<v Speaker 2>they've been telling this story for several months at this point.
<v Speaker 2>I still think it's a bit of an uphill battle
<v Speaker 2>with Michin. Seems like maybe she's being positioned to be
<v Speaker 2>the first contender for Naya Jacks's women's championship run and
<v Speaker 2>before they get into WrestleMania season, when you have the
<v Speaker 2>likes of Charlotte if she comes back to SmackDown, although
<v Speaker 2>I'm more of the beliefs that she should go to
<v Speaker 2>Monday Night Raw, Bianca bell Air, j Cargill and whatnot.
<v Speaker 2>But Mitchen getting a nice opportunity here, but overall, a
<v Speaker 2>pretty good segment that did what it had to do.
<v Speaker 2>Then you get Androtti versus Carmelo Hayes. This was given
<v Speaker 2>an A by a bleacher Report. Look, Carmelo Hayes ends
<v Speaker 2>up coming away with the victory here. Look, Androtti is
<v Speaker 2>obviously a one in the ring. He has had little
<v Speaker 2>to no character development, at least in my eyes, since
<v Speaker 2>returning to WWE. I was never a fan of Androtti,
<v Speaker 2>even in his first run. Not a big fan now.
<v Speaker 2>There's just not a lot for me to sink my
<v Speaker 2>teeth in it into when it comes to Androtti. And
<v Speaker 2>I get the value for Androtti, but just for me personally,
<v Speaker 2>I feel as though there's a lot left to be
<v Speaker 2>desired in terms of his character development. Maybe there's a
<v Speaker 2>language barrier. I'm understanding of that. In the ring, awesome
<v Speaker 2>match obviously, you know what you're gonna get from these
<v Speaker 2>two guys. Carmelo Hayes, I think is an up and
<v Speaker 2>coming star. I just think for him right now on SmackDown,
<v Speaker 2>he is kind of in a crowded mid card scene.
<v Speaker 2>You have La Night as the US champion. Looks like
<v Speaker 2>Santo's Escobar is his inaugural contender, number one contender. He
<v Speaker 2>contended for that or he won that right to be
<v Speaker 2>the number one contender last week. And I think that
<v Speaker 2>these two Androtty and Carmelo Hayes are probably right in
<v Speaker 2>the pecking order for the US title. It did what
<v Speaker 2>it had to do a minus. Like I mentioned from
<v Speaker 2>Carmelo from Bleacher Report, I just would like to get
<v Speaker 2>some more character development from or for Androtti. Naomi versus
<v Speaker 2>Blair Davenport. Davenport defeats Naomi again. They're trying to build
<v Speaker 2>up Davenport here, aligning herself with the what is Albafire
<v Speaker 2>and Iladn's named the Unholy Union, very very similar to
<v Speaker 2>the Unholy Alliance which was Taker and Big Show what
<v Speaker 2>twenty five years ago. I mean, Naomi, she's anything button
<v Speaker 2>enhancement talent, but she's somewhat of an elder stateswoman at
<v Speaker 2>this point. Certainly on SmackDown helped elevate Davenport. It was
<v Speaker 2>given a C plus here by Bleach Report. I think
<v Speaker 2>they're doing a slow build with Davenport. The women's division
<v Speaker 2>on SmackDown I find crowded, especially when you consider the
<v Speaker 2>the how would you say the the the time that
<v Speaker 2>they get because SmackDown is a sorter show, it's only
<v Speaker 2>two hours, and you also have Bianca bell Air and
<v Speaker 2>Jay Cargill right now not there every week. They are
<v Speaker 2>still in a tag team, and you didn't have Bailey
<v Speaker 2>there this week, so you're trying to fit everything into
<v Speaker 2>into two hours here, the women get two segments on
<v Speaker 2>this one on this particular show, you sell the tag
<v Speaker 2>champions who could float between both shows. So for me,
<v Speaker 2>I think that you at this point in time, it's
<v Speaker 2>as much as they could do with Blair Davenport given
<v Speaker 2>the time restraints. Kevin Owens versus Grays and Waller. Owens
<v Speaker 2>defeats Grayson Waller, obviously making him look strong ahead of
<v Speaker 2>his championship match for Cody Roose's undisputed championship at Bash
<v Speaker 2>in Berlin. Given a B minus here by Bleacher Report.
<v Speaker 2>Look for me, I think that it does what it
<v Speaker 2>has to do for Owens, makes them look strong against
<v Speaker 2>a heel who's playing his part out of this world,
<v Speaker 2>and it furthers along the slow but sure breakup of
<v Speaker 2>Atown down Under. It looks like Waller will stay the heel.
<v Speaker 2>Looks like an Austin Theory will stay the baby face
<v Speaker 2>where it will turn into a babyface, and I think
<v Speaker 2>that'll probably be good for him. You know, Austin Theory
<v Speaker 2>was someone who under Vince mric Man had the rocket
<v Speaker 2>ship slap to his back. Under Triple H. He has
<v Speaker 2>really taken a few steps back, taken a few several
<v Speaker 2>detours along the way, but it's been a slow build
<v Speaker 2>for him. I think he's found a good niche with Waller,
<v Speaker 2>but they're slowly but surely getting to a breakup here
<v Speaker 2>in Austin theory, maybe one who comes out on the
<v Speaker 2>baby face side of things. When it's all said and done,
<v Speaker 2>then Street Profits versus d IY to figure out who
<v Speaker 2>is the number one contender for the w W Tag
<v Speaker 2>Team Championships. The Profits defeat d I Y, and this
<v Speaker 2>is given an A minus by Bleacher Report. Look for me,
<v Speaker 2>I think DY had the their run cut out from
<v Speaker 2>under them way too fast. I know that they wanted
<v Speaker 2>to get some more spotlight on the bloodline. I think
<v Speaker 2>that was a mistake. You know, you have Jacob Faughtu
<v Speaker 2>and tal Matonga win it, then gets hurt and Tonga
<v Speaker 2>Loa comes out with it. Now Tonga Loa gets hurt
<v Speaker 2>and later on the show only Tomatonga or yeah, Tomatonga
<v Speaker 2>has the belt. I mean, I'm not a big fan
<v Speaker 2>of DIY or more specifically Johnny Gargano. I'm more a
<v Speaker 2>fan of Tomaso Champa. But you know, if I'm speaking
<v Speaker 2>objectively here, they are a team that deserved these tag
<v Speaker 2>team titles. I felt like it was way too short.
<v Speaker 2>But now you give the number one contendership to the
<v Speaker 2>Street Profits, who are back kind of on their own
<v Speaker 2>them too. They took a lot of detours under the
<v Speaker 2>Triple H era. They had the failed run with the
<v Speaker 2>Pride alongside Bobby Lashley, who is no longer with the
<v Speaker 2>company at this point, and now they're just kind of
<v Speaker 2>back to being their own kind of group Street Profits
<v Speaker 2>with BFAB alongside of them. So maybe this is seeing
<v Speaker 2>the Street Profits get back into prominence in the Tag
<v Speaker 2>team division. I think it's been over four years since
<v Speaker 2>they've had held the Tag Team gold, so to get
<v Speaker 2>them back into a prominent placement in the tag team
<v Speaker 2>division is one that I'm looking forward to. I just
<v Speaker 2>think the Profits versus Dioy for the tag titles would
<v Speaker 2>have been the way to go. I'm not sure it
<v Speaker 2>was necessary to make the tag team title switch to
<v Speaker 2>the Bloodline, but this is where we are and we
<v Speaker 2>have the Profits as the new number one contenders. Here
<v Speaker 2>we move on here to the end of the show,
<v Speaker 2>where you know we will talk about Roman reigns and
<v Speaker 2>everything coming out to Solo Socoa. This actually was not
<v Speaker 2>reviewed by Bleach Report. So I'll just kind of wing
<v Speaker 2>it here. Look for me, I understand what they're doing.
<v Speaker 2>Now you have Jacob Faughtu return. They put Roman through
<v Speaker 2>the table. You have the bloodline look very very strong here.
<v Speaker 2>But in my opinion, like how many more times can
<v Speaker 2>you have Roman come out, not say a word and
<v Speaker 2>brawl the bloodline. Obviously he gets more of his hands
<v Speaker 2>on so CoA. Here you have Jacob Foughtwu return. This
<v Speaker 2>is the first time you see Roman Reigns really get
<v Speaker 2>beaten down. But I want to hear from Roman Reigns
<v Speaker 2>because now it's two weeks since he returned at Sommerslam.
<v Speaker 2>The following SmackDown, he does his thing, beats down Tonga
<v Speaker 2>Loa injures him in the process, beats down Tomatonga and
<v Speaker 2>Solo runs off scared. Then this week you have the
<v Speaker 2>newly formed bloodline overcome the tribal chief. You have a
<v Speaker 2>returning Jacob Foughtu in a walking boot, which was a
<v Speaker 2>pretty cool visual that this guy's just so psychotic that
<v Speaker 2>that you have him beating up Roman Reigns with a
<v Speaker 2>walking boot. But I think it's time we hear from
<v Speaker 2>Roman Reigns because we have still not heard his take
<v Speaker 2>on Solo Soca going rogue and anointing himself as the
<v Speaker 2>tribal chief. It has just been him coming out and
<v Speaker 2>doing the talking with actions, and look, actions speak louder
<v Speaker 2>than words. We know all this, but I just think
<v Speaker 2>that the next time we see Rome and Rains, whether
<v Speaker 2>it's via Paul Hayman or him speaking on his own behalf,
<v Speaker 2>I really really hope that we get some words from Roman.
<v Speaker 2>We've seen him beat up the Bloodline. We've seen the
<v Speaker 2>Bloodline beat up him. Now we have to get some
<v Speaker 2>actual contacts behind him, and you know his mission. And look,
<v Speaker 2>obviously we're waiting for Jimmy Uso to return. We're waiting
<v Speaker 2>for jay Uso to come back to Money to SmackDown.
<v Speaker 2>We'll touch on jay Uso in a bit where I
<v Speaker 2>flip when I flipped the Monday Night Raw, but SmackDown
<v Speaker 2>as a whole right now seems to be in somewhat
<v Speaker 2>of a holding pattern. Raw has been the better show
<v Speaker 2>I think since WrestleMania. As far as Cody Rhodes goes,
<v Speaker 2>I really think that his run is has been lackluster,
<v Speaker 2>but not by his own doing. I think a lot
<v Speaker 2>of his matches and programs have just been like holding
<v Speaker 2>pattern matches. Kevin Owens, it's certainly that aj Styles was
<v Speaker 2>that to an extent. Logan Paul was that to an extent.
<v Speaker 2>I think waiting to see a real program that Cody
<v Speaker 2>Rhoads can sink his teeth into. Maybe they're in a
<v Speaker 2>holding pattern until they could get Randy Orton back on SmackDown.
<v Speaker 2>Maybe they're waiting for the rock to come back. But
<v Speaker 2>Kevin Owens versus Cody Rhods not all that interesting. Babyface
<v Speaker 2>versus Babyface, but SmackDown as a whole right now, I
<v Speaker 2>think it's kind of hovering at a B minus C
<v Speaker 2>plus just passable, not terrible. It's not quite near the
<v Speaker 2>failing grade yet, but I think you really have to
<v Speaker 2>start making traction in the other direction. So now we'll
<v Speaker 2>switch over to Monday Night Raw again via Bleach Report,
<v Speaker 2>and I figured, you know what, I'll I'll just redo
<v Speaker 2>the whole week here. Why not just do Raw and
<v Speaker 2>SmackDown while I'm at it, might as well just get
<v Speaker 2>to it. So first we have Ria Ripley open Monday
<v Speaker 2>Night Raw. You have Damian Priest kind of attack Live
<v Speaker 2>Morgan and Don new Masteriro in the crowd after a
<v Speaker 2>segment between Rhea and the other two, and then it
<v Speaker 2>leads into Damian Priest versus Carlito, given a C plus
<v Speaker 2>here by Bleacher Report. I mean, look, this is obviously
<v Speaker 2>the focal point of Monday Night Raw right now, even
<v Speaker 2>arguably more so than the World Heavyweight Championship picture between
<v Speaker 2>Randy Jorton and Gunther. Look, it's getting a touch repetitive here.
<v Speaker 2>I'm more interested to see Damian Priest one on one
<v Speaker 2>with Finn Balor, and this didn't involve that Carlito kind
<v Speaker 2>of the jobber of the Judgment Day. He's kind of
<v Speaker 2>taken on the JD McDonough type of role in this
<v Speaker 2>new version of The Judgment Day, and you have to
<v Speaker 2>eventually get to Rhea versus Live Part two. It's a
<v Speaker 2>slow burn here, was a little redundant from last week,
<v Speaker 2>but I guess it did what it had to do.
<v Speaker 2>I would have liked a bit more interaction with Damian
<v Speaker 2>Priest and Finn Balor, but I guess you can do
<v Speaker 2>everything all at once, but a satisfactory way too open
<v Speaker 2>the show. Then you get Odyssey Jones against an enhancement talent,
<v Speaker 2>Vincent Whiney, and then the postmatch segment was longer than
<v Speaker 2>the bout itself. This feud has gone on long enough,
<v Speaker 2>so let's hope it comes to a close soon. This

<v Speaker 2>people on SmackDown may not be getting enough time who
<v Speaker 2>could probably benefit from the time on Raw that Alpha
<v Speaker 2>Academy is getting. I mean, look, it was a decent
<v Speaker 2>enough match. Akira Deszowa does nothing for me. He's somewhat funny,
<v Speaker 2>but whatever. I like Otis, I like Maxine, but Alpha Academy,
<v Speaker 2>I think is coming to the end of their runway
<v Speaker 2>and American Made Looking Strong as a new group that
<v Speaker 2>will probably butt heads at least one more time with
<v Speaker 2>the Wyat six. But you have the executed heel turn
<v Speaker 2>by Ivy Nile Air. American Made Looking Strong exactly what
<v Speaker 2>you want from this group as they are still in
<v Speaker 2>their infancy straight stages damage control versus Shana Basler and
<v Speaker 2>Zoe Stark ends in a no contest. You have this
<v Speaker 2>new group with Basler, Deville and Stark officially introduced themselves.
<v Speaker 2>Easy enough for me to say as with the Fuel
<v Speaker 2>Emerald Fusion or something along those lines. I might a
<v Speaker 2>been too wordy, but I really like the group. I
<v Speaker 2>love what they're doing with Sonya Deville. I think that
<v Speaker 2>Shana Basler and Zoe Stark are in a good spot.
<v Speaker 2>They have someone who's a good talker. Obviously, it seems
<v Speaker 2>like a babyface turn for damage control. And it's a
<v Speaker 2>nice feud between these two as you're trying to give
<v Speaker 2>more of a place for the women outside of just
<v Speaker 2>feuding for championships, whether that be the tag titles, so
<v Speaker 2>the women's championships, and I think this is a good
<v Speaker 2>feud between the two factions. Then you have Randy Orton
<v Speaker 2>addressed Gunther. It ends with an RKO from Randy Orton
<v Speaker 2>on Gunther as McIntyre showed up. Then Punk attacks McIntyre,
<v Speaker 2>Welts is back with a belt. I mean, the Punk
<v Speaker 2>and McIntyre stuff, I feel like, you know, I saw
<v Speaker 2>someone a meme today say that they're feuding over a bracelet.
<v Speaker 2>It's kind of getting to that point. I imagine they
<v Speaker 2>will have a matchup match in Berlin or Bash in
<v Speaker 2>Berlin and then the rubber match maybe inside Hell in
<v Speaker 2>a cell at Bad Blood. But it does kind of
<v Speaker 2>seem to be getting a little boring. Not boring, but
<v Speaker 2>like you want some more other than the bracelet. But
<v Speaker 2>you know, Punk and McIntyre is so great right now
<v Speaker 2>that they could they're still making it interesting, but you're
<v Speaker 2>getting to that finish line between the two, and as
<v Speaker 2>for Gunther and Orton, this is one that's gonna be
<v Speaker 2>an awesome match, one that I imagine will main event
<v Speaker 2>Bash in Berlin. I don't think that Orton has anything
<v Speaker 2>more than a snowballs chance in hell of walking away
<v Speaker 2>with the championship, but Orton's one of the best in
<v Speaker 2>the Rain to ever do it. Gunther is arguably the
<v Speaker 2>best in ring guy that they have right now. Certainly
<v Speaker 2>maybe on Monday Night Raw, but it's gonna be awesome
<v Speaker 2>seeing Gunther vulnerable and hit with an RKO out of
<v Speaker 2>nowhere certainly leaves a lot of intrigue at the end
<v Speaker 2>of this. But I really liked furthering the two most
<v Speaker 2>significant singles programs on Monday Night Raw right now, as
<v Speaker 2>we still have a lot of way to go before
<v Speaker 2>we get to Baler versus Damian Breeze, MS versus Bronson Reid.
<v Speaker 2>Reid defeats miss and then hits Tsunami into oblivion on
<v Speaker 2>Our Truth. I mean, it is what it is. I
<v Speaker 2>like what they're doing with dam with Bronson Reid. Bileacher
<v Speaker 2>Report gave us a c it was kind of a
<v Speaker 2>repeat of last week on Truth as to what he
<v Speaker 2>did with Rollins, except this time you're doing it to
<v Speaker 2>our truth. Not arguably the biggest star that Monday Night
<v Speaker 2>Raw has right now. I really like Bronson Reid. I
<v Speaker 2>like that they're giving a more significant time. I just
<v Speaker 2>think that, you know, he's in a tough spot right
<v Speaker 2>now with the just the single scene on Monday Night Raw. Luckily,
<v Speaker 2>because Raw's that extra hour, I think he's getting some
<v Speaker 2>consistent camera time. If it wasn't for that extra hour,
<v Speaker 2>if he was on SmackDown, I would struggle to see
<v Speaker 2>a fit for him. But I think there's potential with him.
<v Speaker 2>Maybe he could slowly work his way up into the
<v Speaker 2>Inner Connell Championship picture where he was a few months ago,
<v Speaker 2>and maybe he could be the one to eventually take
<v Speaker 2>it off of bron Breaker. But right now you're trying
<v Speaker 2>to establish him as a complete monster, and I think
<v Speaker 2>they're doing a half decent job of doing that. And
<v Speaker 2>then we finally get to Sammy Zain versus in a
<v Speaker 2>two out of three falls match for the Intercontinental Championship.
<v Speaker 2>Breaker wins two out of three and retains the inter
<v Speaker 2>Continental Championship, presumably putting an end to this program. I
<v Speaker 2>imagine that sammuse Ain will make his way over to
<v Speaker 2>SmackDown sooner rather than later. But Breaker obviously was not
<v Speaker 2>going to lose this match. I think that this match
<v Speaker 2>was to highlight that bron Breaker is not Bill Goldberg
<v Speaker 2>and he could actually put on a really, really good
<v Speaker 2>wrestling match with sammys Ain. Sammy z Ain has done
<v Speaker 2>his job. I think maybe it wasn't everyone's cup of tea,
<v Speaker 2>but I think it was overall a successful win with
<v Speaker 2>the Intercontinental Championship or run rather with the Icy Championship.
<v Speaker 2>But it's bron Breaker's time right now, and I think
<v Speaker 2>everyone now knows that bron Breaker is more than just
<v Speaker 2>a one trick pony. He can go in the ring
<v Speaker 2>in several different ways. Obviously, power moves are his forte,
<v Speaker 2>but he can do some other crazy, crazy stuff. He
<v Speaker 2>wins with a spear in mid air and that allowed
<v Speaker 2>him to get the championship retained on his part for
<v Speaker 2>Sammy Zain. Obviously, he has the encounter with jay Uso
<v Speaker 2>before going out there. Jay Uso is someone that I
<v Speaker 2>think is kind of in no man's land. I think
<v Speaker 2>that his run as you know, main event jay Uso
<v Speaker 2>as a single star has already peaked and it's coming
<v Speaker 2>back down. I think that we're realizing here that while
<v Speaker 2>it was an awesome, arguably year long run as a
<v Speaker 2>single star over on Monday Night Raw, that he is
<v Speaker 2>best served with Jimmy as part of the USO's one
<v Speaker 2>of the best tag teams of all time. And for

<v Speaker 2>a program. He was just kind of like the face
<v Speaker 2>of that pay per view because he was presented as
<v Speaker 2>the favorite going into it. But you know, I think
<v Speaker 2>that both of these guys are going to make their
<v Speaker 2>way to smack Down in some form or fashion. Overall,
<v Speaker 2>Monday Night Raw was pretty good overall, give it a
<v Speaker 2>B plus, which is where the show has been since
<v Speaker 2>WrestleMania season, but really looking forward to see what happens
<v Speaker 2>with the Judgment Day and more specifically Damian Priest and
<v Speaker 2>Finn Balor. I'm looking for a series of matches one
<v Speaker 2>on one between these two that is separate from the
<v Speaker 2>rest of the Judgment Day and Live and Rea. But anyway, guys,
<v Speaker 2>I actually think this may be put as the week
<v Speaker 2>in review this week as Matt is on vacation. I
<v Speaker 2>actually got a text from him while I was recording this,
<v Speaker 2>so I don't think this will be an after Dark.
<v Speaker 2>I think this is a weekend review, which is why
<v Speaker 2>there was all the swear no lack of swearing rather, so,
