<v Speaker 2>Yes, hey, Matt, it's so great to be back. I
<v Speaker 2>can't wait to go over everything with you. I think
<v Speaker 2>we have one or two things maybe to talk about.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, it's good. It's just it's you know, I will
<v Speaker 1>probably have to, like, you know, make some stuff up
<v Speaker 1>or yeah, some filler. Yeah, it'll be this. Guys, this
<v Speaker 1>is gonna be a lot of a fluff show, so
<v Speaker 1>not a lot of content, just the whole We're gonna
<v Speaker 1>talk about everything and nothing. Don't worry, it's just yeah.
<v Speaker 1>So with that, everything and nothing. This this big ticket
<v Speaker 1>news item that I don't think anybody saw coming. I didn't.
<v Speaker 1>I'm excited for it. And before I dive into what
<v Speaker 1>I think and my thoughts about it, and that of
<v Speaker 1>course is Paul Hayman and Eric Bischoff both being named
<v Speaker 1>separately as executive directors of Ron SmackDown, Paul Haman executive
<v Speaker 1>director of Raw and Eric Bischoff, the executive director of
<v Speaker 1>SmackDown in the creative end, not it doesn't seem like
<v Speaker 1>an on air roll, but on the creative end. So,
<v Speaker 1>what are your thoughts on all this?
<v Speaker 2>Man? Where to even begin with this one? I think
<v Speaker 2>it's very smart of WW. I think it is a
<v Speaker 2>great move, both offensively and defensively, especially with the Eric
<v Speaker 2>Bischoff coop. I think I think they obviously Eric Bischoff
<v Speaker 2>went had to have with him. Everyone knows that. So
<v Speaker 2>who better to have on your team than the person
<v Speaker 2>who was trying to do everything they could to put
<v Speaker 2>you out of business or to be the number one company.
<v Speaker 2>However you want to look at it, and I think too,
<v Speaker 2>if they didn't snag Eric Bischoff right off the bat,
<v Speaker 2>maybe AW could have down the road. So I think
<v Speaker 2>in AW side, who else out there who is available
<v Speaker 2>right now currently? Could you get that would be better
<v Speaker 2>than Eric Bischoff to kind of not even do necessarily
<v Speaker 2>anything creative, but to help navigate the show, help with
<v Speaker 2>the timing, the production and everything like that. That's what
<v Speaker 2>Eric Bischoff thrived on and I think someone like that
<v Speaker 2>could have been crucial to AW because I think him
<v Speaker 2>and Jr. Would have maybe meshed well over time, and
<v Speaker 2>those are two of the best minds in the business.
<v Speaker 2>So I think it was a very good move by
<v Speaker 2>W snagging Eric before anyone else could.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, again, it's there's so many levels and layers to
<v Speaker 1>this because it came out of nowhere, and I think,
<v Speaker 1>you know, Eric Bischoff more of the surprise than Paul Hayman,
<v Speaker 1>who we all kind of assumed was helping with the
<v Speaker 1>writing backstage, but not to this level. Obviously, Eric Bischoff
<v Speaker 1>is a big, a big grab for WWE, not just
<v Speaker 1>because to make sure ae W doesn't get them, but
<v Speaker 1>also because of the mind that Eric Bischoff has for
<v Speaker 1>the business and obviously the contributions he's had throughout the years,
<v Speaker 1>not just in WCW but even in WWE. I loved
<v Speaker 1>him as the general manager of RAW. I thought he
<v Speaker 1>was a perfect fit. And then when Stone Cold came
<v Speaker 1>along as a COGM, they're on. Eric chemistry was just
<v Speaker 1>rock solid. And I think that right now we need
<v Speaker 1>to just while this is exciting and this is definitely
<v Speaker 1>making news and getting a splash, and it's got people talking.
<v Speaker 1>I don't mean to pour cold water on this at all,
<v Speaker 1>because I am in the camp of excited, but I
<v Speaker 1>am also a bit hesitantly I guess I'm maybe hesitantly
<v Speaker 1>excited as the phrase I'm sure there's something better, but
<v Speaker 1>it is because of the fact that guess who gets
<v Speaker 1>the final say in everything, Vince McMahon. And I tweeted
<v Speaker 1>that out too, But that's what makes me a little
<v Speaker 1>bit cautious of how excited I could be for this,
<v Speaker 1>because yes, they are the executive directors of their respective brands,
<v Speaker 1>and they are the top dog writers, if you will,
<v Speaker 1>are creative of their brands. But at the same time,
<v Speaker 1>Vince McMahon has the final say, which scares the hell
<v Speaker 1>out of me, because that is exactly and what John
<v Speaker 1>Moxley pointed to is exactly the problem is Vince McMahon.
<v Speaker 1>So when the game begins and ends with Vince, no
<v Speaker 1>matter how many middlemen you have in between, it's not
<v Speaker 1>going to matter when Vince ultimately makes the call.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, you're definitely right there, and that is something that
<v Speaker 2>I'm rather, i guess, kind of scared of because you
<v Speaker 2>can bring in anyone in the world into the company,
<v Speaker 2>but if Vince McMahon still has the final say, then
<v Speaker 2>it doesn't really matter who else is there. But I
<v Speaker 2>think it's a good sign because why would Vince bring
<v Speaker 2>these two guys in in these positions because he created
<v Speaker 2>these positions. They didn't exist prior to this, I don't
<v Speaker 2>believe so, and to give them a specific brand and
<v Speaker 2>have them focus on each show individually, and I think
<v Speaker 2>it may lead to other things too, depending on how
<v Speaker 2>quickly all of this goes into effect, because did they
<v Speaker 2>say when are they actively going to be in that
<v Speaker 2>position or is it an immediate thing?
<v Speaker 1>Like That's my assumption was it was effective immediately. But
<v Speaker 1>without going back and looking at the press release, which
<v Speaker 1>I'll be doing as we're talking here, I don't. I
<v Speaker 1>don't know. I would assume that it would be effective immediately.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, that's what I was thinking too, so, but I don't.
<v Speaker 2>I don't expect any immediate changes. I'd like within this
<v Speaker 2>week coming up, I don't. I think we may start
<v Speaker 2>to see even more smaller things tweaked, which I'm sure
<v Speaker 2>we'll get into later on. But I think probably one
<v Speaker 2>of the first things to leave would be like the
<v Speaker 2>wild Card, because I think depending on especially too, if
<v Speaker 2>Eric and Paul are gonna have an on screen character
<v Speaker 2>with these roles, I think we may see the w
<v Speaker 2>B create their own competition kind of what they want
<v Speaker 2>to do originally with the draft was to have each
<v Speaker 2>show kind of competing against each other in a sense.
<v Speaker 2>So yeah, I don't. But again, I think the whole
<v Speaker 2>point with Vince even bringing them in into that capacity
<v Speaker 2>is a good sign because obviously he's acknowledging that something
<v Speaker 2>needs to change, and I think he's doing what he
<v Speaker 2>feels is best to do that without completely removing himself.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, I mean, definitely, you know, good point. I just
<v Speaker 1>you know, while this is a for sure a good
<v Speaker 1>move from a visual standpoint, you know, the optics look good,
<v Speaker 1>as they say, I mean, from from an outside perspective,
<v Speaker 1>you may say, oh, well, ww's clearly listening to us.
<v Speaker 1>Look at who they're bringing in, two of the greatest
<v Speaker 1>minds in the history of the wrestling industry. From a
<v Speaker 1>creative standpoint of Paul Hammon and Eric Bischoff, you know,
<v Speaker 1>and I would like to believe that their their idea
<v Speaker 1>is not just to get the fans excited and make
<v Speaker 1>it more of a you know, more than it really is,
<v Speaker 1>but to actually implement what we hope is going to happen,
<v Speaker 1>and that is Eric and Eric, Eric and Paul taking
<v Speaker 1>full control over their brands creative and having Vince McMahon,
<v Speaker 1>while yes, he is the final say, are fears of
<v Speaker 1>him still controlling behind the scenes even though he quote
<v Speaker 1>put people other people in charge. He could take a
<v Speaker 1>step back and say, okay, well I'm the final say,
<v Speaker 1>but you know what I'm gonna I'm gonna be a
<v Speaker 1>little more lenient, I'm gonna be a little more open minded,
<v Speaker 1>and what you guys say, I'll go with. I will
<v Speaker 1>trust both of your instincts, both of your recommendations, and
<v Speaker 1>just see how that goes. Instead of Vince putting his
<v Speaker 1>his typical, you know, Vince McMahon's spin on things, which
<v Speaker 1>over the last five years has clearly not been the
<v Speaker 1>flavor of fans. And that's my hope is while Vince
<v Speaker 1>has ultimate control, that he's really allowing Eric and Paul
<v Speaker 1>to both really run the show even though Vince is
<v Speaker 1>the final say. And as you said too, it's not
<v Speaker 1>gonna be oh my god, Monday and Tuesday Night are
<v Speaker 1>going to look and feel so much different. That's not
<v Speaker 1>going to be the case. Just like when the McMahons
<v Speaker 1>came out last fall and said, oh, you know, we
<v Speaker 1>hear you. We're gonna let you guys take control. Well,
<v Speaker 1>shouldn't that have been what's been going on all along?
<v Speaker 1>I mean, we're the paying customers. Shouldn't you give us
<v Speaker 1>what we want? So the fact that you acknowledge that
<v Speaker 1>you haven't and now you're suddenly going to it didn't
<v Speaker 1>really feel authentic. It didn't feel genuine because nothing really changed.
<v Speaker 1>And they said the McMahon's and Triple H came out
<v Speaker 1>that night and they said, we're gonna give you guys control.
<v Speaker 1>New matchups, Well, new matchups aren't the problem. The problem
<v Speaker 1>is how WWE presents professional wrestling in sometimes an eye rolling,
<v Speaker 1>very illogical way of storytelling. And that's the problem. There's
<v Speaker 1>no true character development, there's no long term planning. These
<v Speaker 1>are the problems, not we need new matchups. New matchups
<v Speaker 1>are nice, they're a nice band aid, but they don't
<v Speaker 1>give us and they don't address what the problem is.
<v Speaker 1>And hopefully Eric Bischoff and Paul Hayman can both see that.
<v Speaker 1>I believe they do, and they can start to change
<v Speaker 1>it step by step, but as you said, this has
<v Speaker 1>to be baby steps. There has to be a vision,
<v Speaker 1>there has to be a plan, and it has to
<v Speaker 1>be executed accordingly, and we have to have patience. And
<v Speaker 1>I think that's the key.
<v Speaker 2>For sure, for sure. Yeah, And I'm i think one
<v Speaker 2>of the things I'm very curious about as well is
<v Speaker 2>with how public they made it today, how they capitalize
<v Speaker 2>with it on TV, and more so with Paul than Eric,
<v Speaker 2>just because Paul is obviously aligned with Brocolis and they're
<v Speaker 2>so is Paul since he's already going to kind of
<v Speaker 2>be on TV anyway, does that kind of give them
<v Speaker 2>even more of a reason to just have him as
<v Speaker 2>like not necessarily called a general manager, but like another
<v Speaker 2>authority figure. So I'm just kind of curious to see
<v Speaker 2>how that's addressed, or if they do address it on
<v Speaker 2>air right now, or if they just say, yeah, Paul
<v Speaker 2>is the new executive director and just kind of not
<v Speaker 2>brush it off but just address it and then move
<v Speaker 2>on and then we really don't see him on TV anymore.
<v Speaker 2>But I'm just kind of curious to see how they
<v Speaker 2>handle Paul going forward, and Brock for that matter.
<v Speaker 1>I think they'll just go with as business as usual.
<v Speaker 1>We we know Brock Lesnar cannot survive without Paul Hayman
<v Speaker 1>because Brock Welesner is a, let's be honest, an awful promo.
<v Speaker 1>He'll have his good soundbites, he's authentic when he speaks,
<v Speaker 1>but it's just not a good promo guy, a wrestling
<v Speaker 1>promo guy. So he needs Paul Hayman out there. I
<v Speaker 1>think that they will continue to use Paul Hayman in
<v Speaker 1>his current role, and then also he'll be dueling as
<v Speaker 1>a executive director of Creative. I mean, look what they're
<v Speaker 1>doing with Triple A. Triple H wears about eighty seven hats,
<v Speaker 1>you know, and we're all just we just take him
<v Speaker 1>at whatever he is at the current moment. He's, you know,
<v Speaker 1>sometimes he's the Degeneration X guy, he's the NXT guy.
<v Speaker 1>He's he's just Paul Aveck. You know. He's Triple H's
<v Speaker 1>white or Triple Ah's husband. You know. He plays so
<v Speaker 1>many different roles that we just were like, Okay, well
<v Speaker 1>which one are you today? So I think we can
<v Speaker 1>handle two roles of Paul Hayman, And I think that
<v Speaker 1>one role of executive director of Creative will not be
<v Speaker 1>spoken about, because I think you'd be undermining your product.
<v Speaker 1>I mean immediately if you acknowledge it on air that
<v Speaker 1>oh yeah, Paul Hayman is now the executive director of Creative.
<v Speaker 1>I mean, you just that's one of those things that
<v Speaker 1>as much as the curtain's been pulled back over the
<v Speaker 1>years and decades, you still don't really talk about. So
<v Speaker 1>I think it'll just continue with business as usual. I
<v Speaker 1>don't believe that either will be an on air authority
<v Speaker 1>figure based on the fact that of the titles they're given,
<v Speaker 1>and it just it wouldn't make a whole lot of
<v Speaker 1>sense to acknowledge that in a product that you're watching
<v Speaker 1>that they're writing the story or watching it just would
<v Speaker 1>mess up so many different levels, the fourth wall all
<v Speaker 1>that stuff. So, you know, I'm excited to see what
<v Speaker 1>Eric Bischoff does with SmackDown Live. I'm really really more
<v Speaker 1>curious with that than Paul Hayman because Eric Bischoff has
<v Speaker 1>been removed from WWE since Oh BOYD two thousands, mid
<v Speaker 1>two thousands, seven eight something like that. I think he
<v Speaker 1>left the organization maybe even sooner than that, and so
<v Speaker 1>it's been you know, a good ten to fifteen years
<v Speaker 1>since we've seen Eric Bischoff in an official capacity in
<v Speaker 1>a management role, So that is, to me, the more
<v Speaker 1>interesting side of this is Eric Bischoff.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, And I think because I do listen to his
<v Speaker 2>podcast and even and they don't obviously talk about current
<v Speaker 2>day product that frequently, but I think a few times
<v Speaker 2>it's been brought up. He had mentioned like he follows
<v Speaker 2>like the majority of them on Twitter, and like he
<v Speaker 2>mentions like how much he loves Becky and like little
<v Speaker 2>things like that. But he had even admitted to not
<v Speaker 2>really fully watching the product and keeping up to date
<v Speaker 2>with it. So I think that's gonna be interesting too,
<v Speaker 2>and I think more so with him, he'll probably take
<v Speaker 2>like a step back and just like observe everything when
<v Speaker 2>he first goes in, and then maybe like a month
<v Speaker 2>or two, will start to actually see changes. So but
<v Speaker 2>it's perfect because he was obviously working very close with
<v Speaker 2>Turner since their shows on TNT and with SmackDown going
<v Speaker 2>to Fox in the fall, I believe it's October that
<v Speaker 2>it's kind of like the perfect person to just help
<v Speaker 2>make that transition as smooth as possible. So I think
<v Speaker 2>maybe they were looking long term in that aspect with
<v Speaker 2>him as well.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, I mean that that is something I didn't think
<v Speaker 1>about as well. I mean, when you have Fox deal
<v Speaker 1>coming up and the ratings are just plummeting, Fox could
<v Speaker 1>easily say, yep, guess what, No, We're not gonna put
<v Speaker 1>you on the Fox Broadcast network. You guys are going
<v Speaker 1>to F S one, f S two, I mean, and
<v Speaker 1>that would really damage the exposure of the brand that
<v Speaker 1>WWE is trying to promote those SmackDown Live and so
<v Speaker 1>I think this move is as much as a visual
<v Speaker 1>optic move to settle the nerves of Fox executives as
<v Speaker 1>well as satisfy fans fears as well, because these are
<v Speaker 1>two extremely trusted, respected minds in the business. I mean,
<v Speaker 1>just think about what they accomplished. It's insane. You mentioned
<v Speaker 1>in eighty six Weeks beating Vince McMahon ECW and the
<v Speaker 1>revolution that that was. And I'm not talking about WWE's
<v Speaker 1>version of ECW, which was a complete disaster. I'm talking
<v Speaker 1>about the original ECW. It was. I mean, just that
<v Speaker 1>influenced so many different storylines, that influenced so many different stars,
<v Speaker 1>It created so many stars. Stone Cold came out of that.
<v Speaker 1>I mean, the biggest star in the history of professional
<v Speaker 1>wrestling came out of it. So there is a lot
<v Speaker 1>of this. A lot of this is look at their resume.
<v Speaker 1>It's extremely impressive, settle the nerves of fans, settle the
<v Speaker 1>nerves of Fox executives who are looking at the ratings
<v Speaker 1>going oh my god, look at this, and also hopefully
<v Speaker 1>as equally important as actually going, Okay, you've seen what
<v Speaker 1>we've done. Now look what we're going to do. And
<v Speaker 1>if you're what you're saying is true. And I actually
<v Speaker 1>don't listen to Eric's podcast although I probably should. Is
<v Speaker 1>that if he is not current with the product, he
<v Speaker 1>probably won't come in and lay the hammer down right
<v Speaker 1>away of we're making this change, that changes change. It's
<v Speaker 1>a smart business decision to just kind of ease his
<v Speaker 1>way into and familiarizing himself with the lay of the land. Okay,
<v Speaker 1>Becky Lynch, is this and this, learn about the characters,
<v Speaker 1>learn about where they want to go, Where do you
<v Speaker 1>want to go? What do the fans want to see?
<v Speaker 1>What do the fans not even know they want to see?
<v Speaker 1>Yet there's just so many things that if he's not
<v Speaker 1>really intricatetly incorporated in watching the product every single week.
<v Speaker 1>He needs and has a lot of catchup to do,
<v Speaker 1>and I'm totally fine with seeing the same product the
<v Speaker 1>next week couple of months, but I think, as you
<v Speaker 1>just said, the mile marker should be about three to
<v Speaker 1>six months, we'll start to see some solid, significant changes.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, And I think with having Bruce Pritchard back as well,
<v Speaker 2>that would be good for because they've become very friendly
<v Speaker 2>over the past few years with their respective podcasts, so
<v Speaker 2>I think, and obviously they work together in the past
<v Speaker 2>when they were both in DW But I think having
<v Speaker 2>Bruce back to kind of like help guide Eric and
<v Speaker 2>just getting back in the swing of things and just
<v Speaker 2>kind of familiarize him with a whole other aspect of
<v Speaker 2>the company this time, I think that'll be good for Eric,
<v Speaker 2>so maybe he won't be as overwhelmed. I think it'll
<v Speaker 2>just be like a smooth transition for him to just
<v Speaker 2>get back into the group of things. But I'm curious
<v Speaker 2>to see the changes, and I think too part of
<v Speaker 2>me was wondering when the announcement was first made, with
<v Speaker 2>them just being so detailed about it, do you think
<v Speaker 2>they'll just maybe one week, maybe next week, which I
<v Speaker 2>hope they don't, but it wouldn't surprise me nowadays. Do
<v Speaker 2>you think they'll have another like impromptu superstar shakeup since
<v Speaker 2>we know who's leaving which brand? Do you think they
<v Speaker 2>would even contemplate going in that direction or do you
<v Speaker 2>think that's just not even a possibility.
<v Speaker 1>I wouldn't, And the reason I would is fans are
<v Speaker 1>already concerned, is i' mean confused as it is? I
<v Speaker 1>don't even know. I Seriously, if you put a gun
<v Speaker 1>to my head, I could not tell you who's on
<v Speaker 1>what brand anymore. I mean I could probably get about
<v Speaker 1>seventy five percent of it. But it doesn't even seem
<v Speaker 1>like there's a brand split anymore. It just doesn't. The
<v Speaker 1>wildcard really really really watered down so much of that
<v Speaker 1>you just kind of go nothing is a surprise anymore.
<v Speaker 1>You already know with this wildcard rule that it's not
<v Speaker 1>really a wildcard rule. It's put our top four stars
<v Speaker 1>on both shows. That's the rule. It's not a wildcard
<v Speaker 1>rule because there's no rule to it. It's just show
<v Speaker 1>up when you want, and doesn't really matter if it's
<v Speaker 1>four people, because if you're a tag team, that really
<v Speaker 1>counts as one. The math is all wrong. The concept
<v Speaker 1>is terrible in execution, and you already know who's going
<v Speaker 1>to show up to the show, so that a purpose
<v Speaker 1>and that want to make it unpredictable with this wildcard
<v Speaker 1>rule did just the opposite. So to do another super
<v Speaker 1>start shakeup, I think wouldn't really do anything because there
<v Speaker 1>isn't really a true brand split anymore.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, fair, fair, I agree with you, and and I
<v Speaker 2>hope they don't, but it's just with me. And like
<v Speaker 2>when I saw the colleges behind their their respective pictures
<v Speaker 2>and I was just like, oh, man, like I'm wonder
<v Speaker 2>just for like a shock value as well. So I'm
<v Speaker 2>just just contemplating, like if they were even saying to
<v Speaker 2>do something, because you know Vince with the whole wildcard thing,

<v Speaker 1>shut the door on ever returning in it some kind
<v Speaker 1>of executive or management role. He never truly shut the
<v Speaker 1>door on that. He had other ventures, of course, that
<v Speaker 1>he pursued, and I think for him coming back to WWE,
<v Speaker 1>even as toxic as some of the environment may be,
<v Speaker 1>he still understands at the core how to promote a
<v Speaker 1>wrestling business. And I know that's a dirty word to
<v Speaker 1>Vince McMahon, but at the core, that's what you are.
<v Speaker 1>You may say you're entertainment, but what is entertainment. You
<v Speaker 1>have professional wrestlers, that's your entertainment. And I think for
<v Speaker 1>Eric it's just going to be like riding a bike.
<v Speaker 1>You just don't forget. It's like, oh, oh yeah, that's right,
<v Speaker 1>that's how I want this to do. This is what
<v Speaker 1>worked last time, this is what didn't work, And for Eric,
<v Speaker 1>I think it really will be just as simple as that,
<v Speaker 1>but not easy given the corporate environment, how many moving
<v Speaker 1>pieces they have, how many writers they have, and they're
<v Speaker 1>constantly it seems like a revolving door when it comes
<v Speaker 1>to the creative there, however, twenty thirty writers that they have,
<v Speaker 1>and for Eric, I imagine that he will probably only
<v Speaker 1>want to hear from a few and not thirty different
<v Speaker 1>ideas as Vince McMahon has been doing and changing his
<v Speaker 1>mind last minute rewriting the show fifty minutes before the
<v Speaker 1>show goes on the air. You hear all these different
<v Speaker 1>things that have been validated, I mean through John Moxley,
<v Speaker 1>through several other podcasts and everything else. So I think
<v Speaker 1>Eric will will bring a sense of control and calmness
<v Speaker 1>back when you have somebody like this at the helm.
<v Speaker 1>And same goes for Paul Hayman. I can't discount him either.
<v Speaker 1>I think Paul Hayman has been with the product more consistently,
<v Speaker 1>obviously since he's been with brock Lesler, since he returned
<v Speaker 1>back in twenty twelve against John Cena. So Paul Hayman
<v Speaker 1>is very more, much, much more educated on the day
<v Speaker 1>to day of WWE. And I'm sure that Paul and
<v Speaker 1>Eric will have a face to face meeting and Paul
<v Speaker 1>is gonna, I'm sure get Eric up to speed and
<v Speaker 1>given the dues and don'ts, and yes, you may have
<v Speaker 1>been successful, but here's the culture in WWE today and
<v Speaker 1>here's what you shouldn't do, should do and didn't not do.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, definitely, definitely. Yeah, I'm just very I'm excited. You know.
<v Speaker 2>I think it is a good step all in all,
<v Speaker 2>because it's I think, in a certain way admitting you
<v Speaker 2>he events is aware that a change needed to be
<v Speaker 2>made or something something needed to be changing on each show,
<v Speaker 2>especially going forward with SmackDown if they're going to, you know,
<v Speaker 2>just completely revamp the product, and especially with aw coming board.
<v Speaker 2>I don't think this really had anything to do with them,
<v Speaker 2>like if they were concerned about competition or anything like that.
<v Speaker 2>But I think, you know, maybe they it was definitely
<v Speaker 2>in the back of their mind. But I'm just curious

<v Speaker 1>So no, look, I mean overall, im you just kind
<v Speaker 1>of wrap this up. I think that this is a
<v Speaker 1>good move all in all. It got people talking, It
<v Speaker 1>puts a little bit of credibility and stability, at least
<v Speaker 1>on the surface. We haven't seen anything in execution yet
<v Speaker 1>of Okay, look, we've got these two brilliant minds who
<v Speaker 1>are heading up the creative on both brands. We created
<v Speaker 1>new positions for them. We hear you that the creative sucks,
<v Speaker 1>and it sucks terribly, and we hear you. We are
<v Speaker 1>also going to soothe the minds of Fox executives here.
<v Speaker 1>You guys know them. There are no better minds to
<v Speaker 1>put in charge than these two. But at the same time,
<v Speaker 1>if we look back six months from now and say, yeah,
<v Speaker 1>they're behind the scenes, but what are they doing, I think,
<v Speaker 1>you know, there should be a take the temperature time
<v Speaker 1>and I think that time would be three months and
<v Speaker 1>then six months. And if there are no creative changes,
<v Speaker 1>and if you are seeing the same thing, the same mistakes,

<v Speaker 1>that I wanted to talk about, I think, at least
<v Speaker 1>in my mind, the next biggest item of the week
<v Speaker 1>was the Undertaker returning to Monday Night Raw, Yes and Choke,
<v Speaker 1>slamming Shane to hell and knocking Drew McIntyre over the ropes,
<v Speaker 1>and there's rumors flying about that Drew McIntyre is going
<v Speaker 1>to be Undertaker's opponent for WrestleMania thirty six. So did
<v Speaker 1>you see this one coming? What were your thoughts on
<v Speaker 1>all this?
<v Speaker 2>I definitely did not. That was probably the last thing
<v Speaker 2>that I would have ever expected. I'm I'm very intrigued
<v Speaker 2>by this. I think this could go a lot of
<v Speaker 2>different directions. And I'm you know, part of me earlier
<v Speaker 2>today when I was just like replaying everything that happened
<v Speaker 2>this week, and I just thought, I was like, you know,
<v Speaker 2>I wonder if now this is going to be sound crazy,
<v Speaker 2>but I wonder if they can kind of play the
<v Speaker 2>angle where Undertaker came back to help Roman obviously by
<v Speaker 2>saving him from having Shane hit the oh what is
<v Speaker 2>it called the coast to coast on them? But I
<v Speaker 2>wonder if they can try to play it up and
<v Speaker 2>have Undertaker, you know, cut some promos with him and
<v Speaker 2>just like especially behind the scenes, but have Roman turned
<v Speaker 2>heel on the Undertaker, and then maybe they can have
<v Speaker 2>like their final blow off food at SummerSlam. It's just
<v Speaker 2>a crazy thought. I do think Drew is the way
<v Speaker 2>to go with this. I think Drew would get the
<v Speaker 2>most rub out of a program with the Undertaker, because
<v Speaker 2>we really don't need to see another program with him
<v Speaker 2>and Roman. So I'm hoping they do go with Drew.
<v Speaker 2>But I was just curious if they could, if they
<v Speaker 2>were to twist it in any way and give us
<v Speaker 2>something that we definitely didn't expect.
<v Speaker 1>That's not even something I've kind of look, I'm all
<v Speaker 1>for it, like what you just said, I hope happens,
<v Speaker 1>but I have really kind of thrown in the towel.
<v Speaker 1>Over the least five years of trying to have w
<v Speaker 1>turn Roman heel. I have been on that bandwagon, and
<v Speaker 1>there have been so many perfect opportunities in which they

<v Speaker 1>magic watching him get destroyed by the crowd. It just
<v Speaker 1>would be awesome. But the problem with all of that
<v Speaker 1>is is one in one person only, Vince McMahon, and
<v Speaker 1>he just came back from a fight with cancer. He's
<v Speaker 1>a perfect inspiration to all the charities that they work with,
<v Speaker 1>you know, visiting kids. They just can't do it. And
<v Speaker 1>the time, I think, right at least in the short
<v Speaker 1>term has passed for that. If they do it, I would.
<v Speaker 1>I would be the first one to stand up and
<v Speaker 1>applaud and shake their hand. I mean, really, I have
<v Speaker 1>been on that bandwagon forever. So do I think that's
<v Speaker 1>gonna happen? No, what I wanted to happen. Of course. Now, Undertaker,
<v Speaker 1>my whole take on it is, did not see that coming.
<v Speaker 1>Was awesome. I popped, And we all just seem to
<v Speaker 1>crap on the Undertaker for how terrible he is in ring.
<v Speaker 1>And I'll remember the Goldberg match from a few weeks
<v Speaker 1>ago at the Saudi Arabia event, and it was awful,
<v Speaker 1>and Undertaker has even though Goldberg was terrible, Undertaker didn't
<v Speaker 1>hold up his end. Undertaker is just flat out old.
<v Speaker 1>I mean, there's just no other way to put it.
<v Speaker 1>He is just breaking down, and it's just human nature
<v Speaker 1>and mother nature just telling him it's time to stop

<v Speaker 1>the greatest of all time, you can make an argument
<v Speaker 1>of certainly the longest lasting of all time, and him
<v Speaker 1>to come back and hit a really good looking choke
<v Speaker 1>slam on on Shane.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, credit credit.
<v Speaker 1>It was like a that was like an old school
<v Speaker 1>choke slam. Yeah, that brought me back to like the
<v Speaker 1>late nineties and and all that. Like it felt like
<v Speaker 1>an old school choke slam. And clearly credit to Shane McMahon,
<v Speaker 1>who's got springs in his legs to be able to
<v Speaker 1>jump that high. So awesome. It just looked great. Uh
<v Speaker 1>you know, complete turnaround from the Goldberg choke slam, you know,
<v Speaker 1>just a few weeks ago. I mean the complete opposite.
<v Speaker 1>I mean, my grandmother could jump higher than Goldberg did
<v Speaker 1>that night, and so it was it was just cool
<v Speaker 1>to see. It felt like a throwback. I'm I would
<v Speaker 1>love to see an Undertaker and Drew McIntire match. I
<v Speaker 1>think Drew could make Undertaker look very good, and that
<v Speaker 1>is what Undertaker needs right now, with somebody younger, faster,
<v Speaker 1>can sell their ass off and can make the Undertaker
<v Speaker 1>look better than he is at this point in his career.
<v Speaker 1>And that person could easily be Drew McIntyre.
<v Speaker 2>Definitely, and I think I think that should be the
<v Speaker 2>obvious route for them going forward with this whole program.
<v Speaker 2>But I I think him and Understaker would have a
<v Speaker 2>phenomenal match. I think Drew is the right guy if
<v Speaker 2>you're gonna especially if it's gonna be Undertakers Undertaker's final match,
<v Speaker 2>to have him go against someone like Drew, because Drew
<v Speaker 2>could really get a great rub off of Undertaker. So
<v Speaker 2>I just I really hope that that's where this leads,
<v Speaker 2>and I'm curious to see what they do at extreme
<v Speaker 2>rules and how the tag team match goes. I think
<v Speaker 2>having Undertaker and a tag team match in general it
<v Speaker 2>is probably a better idea because it's less wear and
<v Speaker 2>tear less work that he actually has to do, and
<v Speaker 2>Roman can carry it for them or the majority of it,
<v Speaker 2>and then you know, can get the hot tag, come in,
<v Speaker 2>get the pin if that's the route that they go.
<v Speaker 2>But I'm just I'm happy that, you know, we had
<v Speaker 2>a nice little surprise and a nice tree and it's
<v Speaker 2>it's good to see take her back on roll and
<v Speaker 2>it's it's fun to see him in an actual program

<v Speaker 1>first people to ever speculate on the Undertaker's retirement, and
<v Speaker 1>maybe it will be his final match. My prediction on
<v Speaker 1>the Undertaker's final match. It's probably WrestleMania thirty seven. And
<v Speaker 1>the reason I say that is they want to get
<v Speaker 1>to that round number of thirty for the Undertaker. He
<v Speaker 1>will hit that at next year's Survivor Series. But it's
<v Speaker 1>so big that you would want Undertaker to just last
<v Speaker 1>last a few more months, get to WrestleMania. WrestleMania thirty seven,
<v Speaker 1>I think will be his final match, and then they
<v Speaker 1>can say three decades of destruction or thirty years of
<v Speaker 1>They could market that thirty Oh yeah, you know they
<v Speaker 1>really well. So that's that's my thought right on.
<v Speaker 2>I didn't even think about that, but that's so true.
<v Speaker 2>And I actually kind of hope they do do that
<v Speaker 2>because I kind of gave me goosebumps a little bit
<v Speaker 2>because I love the Undertaker, Like I made a special

<v Speaker 2>I'm just I love an Undertaker, So I hope they
<v Speaker 2>hope they do that for him. He deserves it, there's

<v Speaker 1>you're a year away. The Undertaker can come and go
<v Speaker 1>as he pleases it. Why would that?
<v Speaker 2>It doesn't have to be anything big, Like, the match
<v Speaker 2>doesn't have to be anything, you know, very competitive, just

<v Speaker 1>It really doesn't even matter who it's against, it really does. Yeah, yeah,
<v Speaker 1>it just it needs to be somebody. I will say this,
<v Speaker 1>out of all the qualifications is as low as they
<v Speaker 1>may be, it still needs to be against a somebody
<v Speaker 1>that they feel as could be the future of WWE.
<v Speaker 1>I mean, you know, it doesn't have to be a
<v Speaker 1>top guy, but it needs to be somebody who's younger
<v Speaker 1>and can make him look and take the bumps that
<v Speaker 1>that are necessary while Undertaker can go at a slow,
<v Speaker 1>methodical pace, and somebody that could get the ruboff Undertaker
<v Speaker 1>in his final few matches. So those are really the
<v Speaker 1>only qualifications. So yeah, but those are my thoughts on
<v Speaker 1>Undertaker's retirement would be at WrestleMania thirty seven. But time
<v Speaker 1>will tell. Time will tell. So next thing I wanted
<v Speaker 1>to talk about, and maybe I'm missing something here, but
<v Speaker 1>it's kind of the thing is, after I get through
<v Speaker 1>these top two items, unless I'm missing something, the rest
<v Speaker 1>of them seem to be a little bit interchangeable. So
<v Speaker 1>my next item that I had was Ricochet winning the
<v Speaker 1>United States title because we really didn't talk about stomping
<v Speaker 1>grounds too much, and Ricochet winning surprised a lot of people.
<v Speaker 1>I actually went on on a crazy limb and predicted
<v Speaker 1>that Ricochet would win it because WWE has done nothing
<v Speaker 1>with Samoa Joe and Ricochet is the more exciting star,
<v Speaker 1>is the upcoming star, all that, and he ended up winning.
<v Speaker 1>So were you excited about this? Did you see it coming?
<v Speaker 2>I did not see it coming. I think I like
<v Speaker 2>it and I don't like it. I like it for
<v Speaker 2>Ricochet because I feel like this is great for someone
<v Speaker 2>like him to win a title, and I think he
<v Speaker 2>would be one of those hard working champions and maybe
<v Speaker 2>they can do something creative like the Open Challenge, maybe
<v Speaker 2>not that necessarily, but just something just have him be
<v Speaker 2>like the workhorse of the show where seth Rawlins had
<v Speaker 2>been about a year and a half ago. So I
<v Speaker 2>think I really liked that for him. I think Rikoshet
<v Speaker 2>obviously is super easy to get over with the fans
<v Speaker 2>like young kids like him, and he's just he's fun
<v Speaker 2>to watch. I don't like it for Samoa Joe though,
<v Speaker 2>because Joe I was really just hoping that they would
<v Speaker 2>give him this title rant and just let him play
<v Speaker 2>it out for six months and have just a substantial
<v Speaker 2>title run. But then next thing I knew, he attacked
<v Speaker 2>Covid Kingston, so now he has a depute title match.
<v Speaker 2>So I guess I'm I was disappointed, and then I
<v Speaker 2>guess it just it's just confusing, because how do you
<v Speaker 2>lose a championship and then just attack the another champion
<v Speaker 2>and then just get a title shot that way? So
<v Speaker 2>I think the logic, of course, is just something that
<v Speaker 2>wasn't really a fan of and it doesn't really make sense.
<v Speaker 2>But hey, if they do something crazy and actually, you know,
<v Speaker 2>pull the trigger with Joe winning the de WD title,
<v Speaker 2>I'm definitely all for it. But I don't have a
<v Speaker 2>good feeling with it.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, you kind of hit all the nails on the
<v Speaker 1>head with what I've been talking about all week. And
<v Speaker 1>while I was not excited to see Ricochet win the
<v Speaker 1>United States Championship because I want WWE to give Samoa
<v Speaker 1>Joe a legitimate run, a role, get on a role,
<v Speaker 1>be a monster, be unstoppable, and he has that, he
<v Speaker 1>has the look, he has the most believable promos in
<v Speaker 1>the business, and he continues to just lose and lose
<v Speaker 1>and lose, and then, as you just said, which is
<v Speaker 1>my biggest complaint about him being in this WW championship match,
<v Speaker 1>which that's the only complaint. I'm glad he's in this
<v Speaker 1>in the prominent spot, in the top spot for the
<v Speaker 1>most prestigious belt in the business. But the problem is
<v Speaker 1>number one, he attacked the champion, so which that's apparently
<v Speaker 1>the way you get a championship match, by the way,
<v Speaker 1>you just attacked the champion and you're automatically awarded a
<v Speaker 1>championship match. Which, by the way, I mean, that's just
<v Speaker 1>how you do it. It's so weird, it's it's just
<v Speaker 1>it's just when you think about it. So that makes
<v Speaker 1>everybody qualified for the championship, any championship. You just attacked
<v Speaker 1>the champion backstage in their car and their bedroom, in
<v Speaker 1>the ring doesn't matter. You just attacked them, and you
<v Speaker 1>are ultimately just, oh, oh, okay, well here here's your
<v Speaker 1>championship match. It's ridiculous. What's more ridiculous is, okay, Somojo
<v Speaker 1>attacked him. You know, WW automatically awarded him with the
<v Speaker 1>championship match. But unless I'm wrong, because I watched the
<v Speaker 1>hula version of RAW. I don't believe that they explained
<v Speaker 1>why he's getting a championship match. Did Kofi Kingston burst
<v Speaker 1>into the McMahon's office and say, I want to match
<v Speaker 1>with sumojoed extreme rules? I don't care if I have
<v Speaker 1>to put my championship on the line. I don't think
<v Speaker 1>they did that. I don't. I don't recall seeing any
<v Speaker 1>of that and the and the playbacks of Raw.
<v Speaker 2>So yeah, either I don't. I don't. I don't think
<v Speaker 2>so either. And that was one of my main complaints.
<v Speaker 2>But like probably, like you said, like the only complaint
<v Speaker 2>because I think it's gonna be a great match, But
<v Speaker 2>it's just, you know, the issue with your show is
<v Speaker 2>creativity and storylines. When you literally have an opportunity to
<v Speaker 2>create a storyline and a program and something that could
<v Speaker 2>last for potentially a few months, like you don't, I
<v Speaker 2>don't understand why they don't just go with it, Like
<v Speaker 2>I feel like it's harder to not go with it
<v Speaker 2>than it is to go with it, if that makes sense.

<v Speaker 1>that this is such basic storytelling, like my five year
<v Speaker 1>old nephew could come up with a more coherent basic

<v Speaker 1>on TV. So I'm sure that they aren't really sure

<v Speaker 1>main eventing WrestleMania and then losing the aj styles and
<v Speaker 1>turning heel and probably the best part of his whole

<v Speaker 1>and now he is just kind of fading into the black.

<v Speaker 1>and Nakamura is now challenging Finn Ballard for the Interconnental Championship. Clearly,

<v Speaker 1>there in no man's land, So I honestly don't feel

<v Speaker 1>you got to put some blame on on Shinsk too,

<v Speaker 1>Finn Balor, you gotta put a little blame on them.
<v Speaker 1>Is that they've both been Shinsk much more so to
<v Speaker 1>find down to a point of almost mid to lower
<v Speaker 1>card for for Shinsk, you talk about a fall from grace. Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>Shinsk has just bottomed out to a point of when
<v Speaker 1>he when he came in and and uh, you know
<v Speaker 1>when when the interviewee or interviewer asked, Finn, you know
<v Speaker 1>what's next, who's your next challenger? And then you had
<v Speaker 1>Shinsk come in, and obviously that's just a sign of oh,
<v Speaker 1>it's going to be me, that kind of you told
<v Speaker 1>me that, oh wow, oh yeah, Shinsk is still here,
<v Speaker 1>that's right. I mean, I can't believe I said that.
<v Speaker 1>I'm like, oh, Shinsky a commerce still here that I thought,

<v Speaker 1>so that just is it's scary to me that I'm
<v Speaker 1>saying that when two years ago people would be going
<v Speaker 1>insane for this match. And again, this could easily be
<v Speaker 1>a three and a half four star up match if
<v Speaker 1>given enough time and motivation and proper planning and all
<v Speaker 1>of that. So this could this feud could overachieve very easily.
<v Speaker 1>But yeah, you look about what it could have been,
<v Speaker 1>the excitement it could have drawn. It's just it's sad
<v Speaker 1>that you're looking in today's day and age and two
<v Speaker 1>years later and going, really, this is how I feel

<v Speaker 2>two weeks? About about two.

<v Speaker 1>we all know she's being played for a fool. We
<v Speaker 1>all know that Alexa is using her, and that Nicky
<v Speaker 1>is going from a psycho to this sympathetic, you know,
<v Speaker 1>schoolgirl that wants to just make sure she's friends with
<v Speaker 1>the popular girl. That's what it feels like to me.
<v Speaker 1>And she's just being used and played, and Nicky is
<v Speaker 1>looking like a fool for for really buying into Alexa.
<v Speaker 1>And I don't even know what drew her to Alexa
<v Speaker 1>to begin with. And when you look at the track
<v Speaker 1>record of what Alexa Bliss has done to Mickey James,
<v Speaker 1>to Nya Jacks, it's just how does Nicky Cross not
<v Speaker 1>see this? And maybe she does, and maybe we're all
<v Speaker 1>just going to get the swerve and Nicki turns on Alexa.
<v Speaker 1>Who knows, but we all kind of see what the
<v Speaker 1>end game is going to be, and that's Alexa either
<v Speaker 1>getting caught talking trash just like she did with Naya
<v Speaker 1>or I don't know, but I think that's the end game,
<v Speaker 1>ultimately ending in a Nicki Cross and Alexa Bliss match.
<v Speaker 1>But right now, Bailey is the SmackDown Women's Champion, and
<v Speaker 1>so it's kind of a whole weird dynamic going on.
<v Speaker 1>What do you kind of feel the same way I do?
<v Speaker 2>I do. I feel like Bailey is just like along
<v Speaker 2>for the ride, so to speak. But the whole focus
<v Speaker 2>of this particular segment is between Nikki and Alexas So
<v Speaker 2>it's just it's so radom, like this could have played
<v Speaker 2>out on Raw as well, Like just sitting here thinking
<v Speaker 2>about it, like they're both Raw superstars, so they could
<v Speaker 2>have been on Raw doing this. But it's just just
<v Speaker 2>so kind of comical as we go through each storyline
<v Speaker 2>that's going on. But yeah, I think I think it
<v Speaker 2>is going to play out that way that Nikki is
<v Speaker 2>just trying to you know, she's trying to better herself
<v Speaker 2>and her character and just you know, maybe get to
<v Speaker 2>Alexa's level at some point, as maybe she would put
<v Speaker 2>it and then have Alexa turn on her. I think
<v Speaker 2>that's gonna be obviously, maybe after Alexa wins, they're celebrating
<v Speaker 2>in the ring Nikki's so happy for and then that's
<v Speaker 2>when Alexa turns on her or whatever. But yeah, I mean,
<v Speaker 2>I'm mildly entertained to see how this plays out.
<v Speaker 1>And it's really hard to to hate Alexa Bliss. It is,
<v Speaker 1>it's so hard. And WWE does their best, and and
<v Speaker 1>Lexi or Alexa or Alexi's real name, does a really
<v Speaker 1>good job at trying. And she comes across as such
<v Speaker 1>a snarky you know what, and she's so good at it.
<v Speaker 1>But the thing is, she's so likable at the same time,
<v Speaker 1>and of course she's extremely attractive, which doesn't hurt. And also,
<v Speaker 1>you know, you have these three sixty five specials on
<v Speaker 1>her and she's crying in these videos.
<v Speaker 2>And she has a pig, yeah, pig.
<v Speaker 1>She loves Disney. She's constantly depending on Instagram how much
<v Speaker 1>she loves Disney. Who the hell doesn't love Disney? And
<v Speaker 1>and you see only three sixty five about Oh my god,
<v Speaker 1>you know I people didn't think I belonged here in
<v Speaker 1>the struggle I had, So she instantly becomes relatable, she
<v Speaker 1>instantly becomes humanized, and we're supposed to hate her on
<v Speaker 1>era character. It's so difficult that, you know, whenever she
<v Speaker 1>does have her baby face run and legitimate one, not
<v Speaker 1>kind of a quasi. I'm the host of WrestleMania. I
<v Speaker 1>host this, Alexa Bliss. You know, I'm talking like a
<v Speaker 1>full blown babyface run that I think it could be
<v Speaker 1>super successful. Maybe not quite to the level of Becky
<v Speaker 1>Lynch when she was at her hottest, but I wouldn't,
<v Speaker 1>you know, I wouldn't rule it out, but because that's
<v Speaker 1>hard to achieve. But at the same time, it could
<v Speaker 1>be a hell of a run if they go full
<v Speaker 1>force with this. But I'm just again, my point is
<v Speaker 1>just I'm having a hard time hating Alexa Bliss. I've
<v Speaker 1>had a hard time hating her.
<v Speaker 2>Me too, me too. It's it's I'm right there with you.
<v Speaker 2>I've always been an Alexa Bliss fan just because she
<v Speaker 2>and me just seeing her trying to be a heel,
<v Speaker 2>it's just it shows how talented she is, so it
<v Speaker 2>makes me want her to be a baby face even
<v Speaker 2>more so. She can get that appreciation, but she's just
<v Speaker 2>she's phenomenal at what she does, So anything she does
<v Speaker 2>I'm gonna be into because she she just is that
<v Speaker 2>talented and she could carry pretty much anything that she's
<v Speaker 2>involved in. So yeah, I'm happy that she's at least
<v Speaker 2>doing something now, and she's actually wrestling again, and everything
<v Speaker 2>medically appears to be cleared of So that's that's always
<v Speaker 2>a good sign.
<v Speaker 1>It is. I mean for a while, I mean she
<v Speaker 1>was you know, she was good and could go and
<v Speaker 1>then gets injured again, good to go, get gets injured,
<v Speaker 1>and I felt for her not being able to compete
<v Speaker 1>a WrestleMania obviously, you know her standing on stage with
<v Speaker 1>Hulk Hogan. I'm sure that was a hell of a
<v Speaker 1>moment for her too, But I know that she wanted
<v Speaker 1>to be in that ring, competing at Wrestlemanium. Who wouldn't
<v Speaker 1>want to be, So I felt for her the person.
<v Speaker 1>So when you wrap all this together, it's just like
<v Speaker 1>I'm waiting, I'm bursting for her to just turn baby face.
<v Speaker 1>She I don't believe she's been officially a babyface in
<v Speaker 1>WWE outside of the weird little few months she had.
<v Speaker 1>Is the I don't know, head of the women's division
<v Speaker 1>that Baron Corporn put her in charge of, and some
<v Speaker 1>you know, kind of the moment of bliss in which
<v Speaker 1>she kind of played a babyface in some roles. That

<v Speaker 1>thing that I'm really liking too, though, is the twenty

<v Speaker 1>wanted posters, just just craziness. I mean, I love what
<v Speaker 1>they're doing with Our Truth and Drake Maverick. At the
<v Speaker 1>same time, when on Monday Night Raw, when Heath Slater
<v Speaker 1>won the twenty four to seven championship. I was actually like, oh, okay,
<v Speaker 1>I could see Heath being champion. Yeah, he kind of
<v Speaker 1>is in that same role as Our Truth, and he
<v Speaker 1>could be also a good candidate. And so whenever Heath
<v Speaker 1>or whatever Our Truth does drop the belts and kind
<v Speaker 1>of stays out of that loop for a while, I'm
<v Speaker 1>cool with He's Slater and being the twenty four seven
<v Speaker 1>champion and and you know, being in his trailer and
<v Speaker 1>doing crazy things with his kids and whatever. I mean,
<v Speaker 1>eating cheese was with Rhino, I don't care. Like you
<v Speaker 1>could do a lot with with with Hea Slater too
<v Speaker 1>as twenty first seven champion.
<v Speaker 2>That would be great. I would love that so much
<v Speaker 2>because Heath Slater is just one of those entertaining characters,
<v Speaker 2>like he's just he can get anything over. So I
<v Speaker 2>would he would be the perfect replacement for Our Truth

<v Speaker 2>would love to see he get involved in this more so.

<v Speaker 2>even more reason to stay tuned throughout the whole show,

<v Speaker 1>things I wanted to touch on was Shane McMahon's beat down
<v Speaker 1>of the Miz again, brutal beatdown of the Miz. And
<v Speaker 1>you know, I'm a little bit tired of this program
<v Speaker 1>at the same time, you know, the programs typically don't
<v Speaker 1>end until the baby face prevails, and the Miz has
<v Speaker 1>yet to get a one up on Shane McMahon. He
<v Speaker 1>has lost two straight matches to Shane and now gets
<v Speaker 1>beat down brutally again. No undertaker to save him, no
<v Speaker 1>Roman reigns to save him, nobody cares in the back
<v Speaker 1>to help Miz, and he just gets beat down again.
<v Speaker 1>So I would think that this match or this program
<v Speaker 1>somehow ends in Extreme Rules. However, he's not in a
<v Speaker 1>match with Shane, Runnertaker in Roman ear in a match
<v Speaker 1>with Shane and Drew, and so I don't know how
<v Speaker 1>the Miz resolves this issue. Maybe it does go into
<v Speaker 1>Summer Slam with Shane. I don't know. So what's your
<v Speaker 1>take on all this?
<v Speaker 2>I just it's so interesting to me to see how
<v Speaker 2>involved Shane is with the shows every week, and I
<v Speaker 2>just I never expected the Miz and Shane's storyline to
<v Speaker 2>play out this long without win or the Miz getting
<v Speaker 2>a victory at all, So that's just kind of surprising
<v Speaker 2>to me, and I just I kind of hope this
<v Speaker 2>is the end of their feud as well. So I
<v Speaker 2>hope it's just the end of Shane against Roman and
<v Speaker 2>Shane against the Miz after Extreme Rules somehow, So hopefully

<v Speaker 1>McMahon belongs nowhere near these world class athletes as their
<v Speaker 1>percent it as such, he belongs nowhere near them, and
<v Speaker 1>at least in a capacity of onequal footing where Shane
<v Speaker 1>can hang with anybody. It's just it's ridiculous. It's angering
<v Speaker 1>as a fan that we're supposed to believe that Shane
<v Speaker 1>is on equal footing with any of these men. I mean, really,
<v Speaker 1>when you think about it, it's just angering. But you
<v Speaker 1>put that anger aside, and Shane is just as you said,
<v Speaker 1>he's too involved every single week. At the same time,
<v Speaker 1>though he's also a very good heel. I want to
<v Speaker 1>see Shane getz ask kick when Roman finally speared him
<v Speaker 1>a couple of weeks agoing raw, I that was the
<v Speaker 1>first spear in the history of Romans, thousands of spears
<v Speaker 1>that I cheered yes, and I mean really like out
<v Speaker 1>of his ooh and all that weird, nonsensical cartoon stuff
<v Speaker 1>that he does. I was like, yes, I audibly said yes,
<v Speaker 1>And it was nice to see Shane get you know,
<v Speaker 1>get his backside kicked as he should have. And then
<v Speaker 1>it just gets his heat back, you know, you know,
<v Speaker 1>and he just beats down Shane, or he beats down
<v Speaker 1>the Miz and we're back to square awoe with Shane
<v Speaker 1>in the miss. So again, I don't know where this
<v Speaker 1>is going. I'm ready for it to be over. Just
<v Speaker 1>have them in a steel cage, or don't put them
<v Speaker 1>in a cage because that doesn't keep anybody out. Don't
<v Speaker 1>tell the announcers that. But I don't know, do something
<v Speaker 1>that's a final blowoff, even if it's before extreme rules.

<v Speaker 1>to touch on this because I wanted your thoughts on
<v Speaker 1>this was the match at Stomping Grounds between Delf Ziggiler
<v Speaker 1>and Kovie Kingston when Kovie Kingston was having his knee
<v Speaker 1>twisted and turned and bent and Dolf was beating the
<v Speaker 1>holy hell out of him, and and you know, he
<v Speaker 1>was limp Kofe was limping around and then magically found
<v Speaker 1>a way to not just crawl out of the cage,
<v Speaker 1>but lin the dive the bad leg over Dolf Ziggler
<v Speaker 1>not sell that that injury at all, and it's forgotten
<v Speaker 1>the next night or the next two nights later on
<v Speaker 1>SmackDown Live. So that that really really got out of
<v Speaker 1>my skin, despite the fact that they had a pretty
<v Speaker 1>decent match.
<v Speaker 2>Yes, and I almost completely forgot about that, But that
<v Speaker 2>is so true, and that made me think back because
<v Speaker 2>it's it's sad because I missed the art of selling,
<v Speaker 2>like I missed the days where if you got injured
<v Speaker 2>on one week's show, you were still injured that that

<v Speaker 2>a whole. But yeah, the dive was was, you know,
<v Speaker 2>pretty pretty cool, I guess, but I don't know if
<v Speaker 2>you saw his book got tangled on the rope. So
<v Speaker 2>I'm just happy he landed, as you know, as best

<v Speaker 2>cool spot. But yeah, I just wish he maybe at
<v Speaker 2>least would have sold it afterwards, like once he dove through,
<v Speaker 2>just you know, celebrate he that he retained his title,
<v Speaker 2>but at least like limp back up the ramp or something,

<v Speaker 1>put in a in a hold too long, or crutches
<v Speaker 1>or whatever whatever. Even when when Vince McMahon. I remember
<v Speaker 1>got his ankles shattered by Cain and the Undertaker. He
<v Speaker 1>was in a wheelchair where it seemed like forever. Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>but obviously now I'm remembering that. Then he ultimately ended
<v Speaker 1>up coming out of that wheelchair just to screw Stone
<v Speaker 1>Cold that Survivors Series and a tournament for the championship.
<v Speaker 1>I don't know how I remember that, but so. But
<v Speaker 1>my point is this, there's no selling. And when you
<v Speaker 1>look at Ricochet, who's we talked about him earlier super athletic,
<v Speaker 1>like a super athlete. He is athletic to the point
<v Speaker 1>that it is embarrassing to be named or he should be,
<v Speaker 1>we should be embarrassed to be called human beings when
<v Speaker 1>he is a human being. I mean, it's just he
<v Speaker 1>he makes wrestling look so easy, but he flies around
<v Speaker 1>the rings so much that there's no selling with it.
<v Speaker 1>It's just what's the crazy thing that he's going to
<v Speaker 1>do next? What's the you know, can he do like
<v Speaker 1>eighty flips instead of seven? Can he do it? I mean,
<v Speaker 1>he's so good, but the problem is there's no selling.

<v Speaker 1>things in real life, my god, we would be torn muscles,

<v Speaker 1>I mean, think about this, that's the problem with I
<v Speaker 1>think in general today's style of wrestling, Well, it's more
<v Speaker 1>exciting and you get the holy you s chance, you
<v Speaker 1>know this is awesome chance. I think that a lot
<v Speaker 1>of those chants come from matches that are just flip
<v Speaker 1>flop fly and who can do the craziest move and
<v Speaker 1>crazy counters. I like ring psychology. I like the art
<v Speaker 1>of selling when I can feel almost the pain of
<v Speaker 1>the star that I'm rooting for. That is selling. And
<v Speaker 1>after the match, they're limping, limping up the ramp, limping
<v Speaker 1>back down the ramp the next night, not just forgetting
<v Speaker 1>that maybe they took eighty chairs shots to the back.
<v Speaker 1>I mean, there's just things that it's like, really, you're
<v Speaker 1>not gonna sell what you just happened? I don't know.
<v Speaker 1>I mean, so yeah, that's a whole other subject that

<v Speaker 1>selling actually is what I would title it. Maybe I will,

<v Speaker 1>He thinks it's well, that's not it's all about entertainment.
<v Speaker 1>But again, you entertain people through great storytelling, cohesion logic.

<v Speaker 1>needs to be long term planning. It needs to just

<v Speaker 2>he's going to cash in on KOFE. I part of
<v Speaker 2>me wants to say when they debut on Fox, just

<v Speaker 2>them both to move on and do new things. And

<v Speaker 1>a good champion, but Kofe's the one that hasn't gotten
<v Speaker 1>an opportunity yet, and he was there for over ten years,
<v Speaker 1>eleven years, whatever, and he finally gets that opportunity and
<v Speaker 1>he wins into WrestleMania. So I think this struggle to
<v Speaker 1>get there was higher for Kofe. Therefore, fans respect the
<v Speaker 1>struggle more than they have for Seth. Not to say
<v Speaker 1>that Seth doesn't have respect, but obviously he's been there longer.
<v Speaker 1>He's the elder statesman. People know who he is and
<v Speaker 1>and respect his journey because it was longer. And so
<v Speaker 1>you having brock Lesner come in, and as you said,
<v Speaker 1>taking it from Kofe, I think would create more heat
<v Speaker 1>than Seth because we've seen it. And imagine the fan
<v Speaker 1>reaction if say it is a rematch with Samoa Joe
<v Speaker 1>and Kofe Kingston at SummerSlam, and ultimately you have Kofe
<v Speaker 1>Kingston prevail against Tomjo again and you know all, you
<v Speaker 1>have the announcers, the struggle, the you know whatever. Byron
<v Speaker 1>Saxton is having an orgasm over about how great Kofe

<v Speaker 1>to Byron Saxon, he just he just goes bonkers for
<v Speaker 1>Kobe Kingston every single time he comes out. But again,
<v Speaker 1>you could easily tell that story and Grueling actually overcomes
