Both nicknames Eg and Ug were given by their older sister when their two boys were young. Clyde's name IgG was shortened by his sister for ignorant and Herschel's name Ugg was shortened for ugly, typical.

I don't know what that means. But he was practicing with the team yesterday his own number exact. Great, Yeah, he had a number, except he wasn't on the roster, which I thought, you know, how were we supposed to know who that is? It's big Z last year, still getting figured out a little bit, so Zachary Tale from Madisonville. He's the president of a fraternity. His sister played softball at Alabama and was like three time America, three time All May. Yeah, their brother's sister, that's her. Since his sister, his sister sent me a picture last night of him as a little kid sitting in the stands cheering for Kentucky with the Kentucky shirt with his big ears. Looked like me and drew as a little kid. I thought that was really cool. Yeah, he'd be I liked the ear so uh, I listen, what is more Kentucky than having a try out at the school and then a kid from Madisonville wins the tryout and is on the team. How cool is that? If this is a tradition that Mark Pope is going to do every I love it.

But they now have a lot of managers that are also kind of practicing with the team. They basically divide into four teams. First, second team, the kind of hybrid walk on a couple of the players team, and then there's a manager team and the manager team it looks to me like has like four guys that can ball. And then there's a guy that is now my favorite person associated with K basket. Okay, Shannon, this dude has got to be thirty five years old. Oh no, he's got a full beard. Yeah, he looks just like JD. Man. Maybe it is. It might be. I don't know whether he was on the campaign trail yesterday or not. He looks just like Jdvn's he wears like you know how older guys wear, like knee braces. It's got like a lot of layers on, you know. And when he plays, he gets really tired. And that was the thing Drew and I noticed, like a couple times up and down the court he's tired, and I've decided he's my favorite, Like I had to keep watching him. He's kind of a big guy. So he's fighting with the Mary Williams and Garrison and he's holding his own shit like he's huffing and he's fighting there. Oh, he is fighting for his life out there, hanging on. And I don't know who he is, but I'm a huge fan of him. It's it basically looks like they are making thirty five year old dreams happen by letting them be on the court and fight with the UK bass.

And I think the reason was his history with the n c a A and you know, maybe also some of the stuff we've seen in the last few months where he's decided to be very vocal about his political beliefs. Maybe UK didn't want that. I don't know that that was part of it, but I think there was a sense of they kind of wanted to have somebody that was like an all in team person and the and I think maybe Capeluto didn't necessarily feel like uh Pearl Pearl was.

But can you explain how Cali Perry is saying you got him fired is different than you saying Amy McGrath or Mitch McConnell got you taken off television or radio. Neither of those people had the authority to take you off. Fair point, you make the decision. I went on to radio and said, you know what, we shouldn't lose to Oakland. Amy McGrath's campaign manager called my boss at Channel eighteen and said, if you all don't take Matt off the air, we will not spend money with you in the campaign, a campaign where she had ungodly amounts of money, and he that's not me alleging it. He bragged about it in an interview that he did. You can go go look at it. Mitch McConnell got the Republican Party to file an FEC complaint against me for being on the radio that by law I heart if they put me back on, would owe triple damages if they were found to have violated it. And McConnell had the commission to where they didn't have a quorum so they couldn't meet to decide it. So I was stuck. So in both cases that wasn't It wasn't like Amy McGrath went on TV and said I wish Matt Jones wasn't on TV. Her people literally called my ball. And in Mitch McConnell's case, he used the federal government to try to well too, get me off the ear. So I don't think that's quite the same thing as going, can we beat Saint peter'ss somebody guard going in a basketball game?

It ain't hard to see he loves us more than he loves Louisville. That's very cool. I mean, let's be real. He won I mean, the wible people got a little be losing to mind. Right, He's in the middle of a season and he's leaving Saint John's to come here. He also helped bring Mark Pope into this fold with that video. Right then you add the history when he was here nineties Kentucky basketball was the first step in making this program transition from kind of your grandfather's program to a program for the modern era that went into full fledged with cal but Rick was certainly the first part of that. I mean, I think, and I'm a big believer if you listen this show in Forgiveness over time, it's been he left here in nineteen ninety seven. I mean, it's going on thirty years. He's been out of Louisville for at least what the year did he go away? Eighteen nineteen, So it's been five or six years since he's been at Louisville. Ryan, I you know I to the extent anyone knows me nationally. It probably started by me criticizing that dude and laughing at the things that were happening at that trial. Even I say, at some point, you know what, let Bygones be.
