They're probably getting a couple of big crowds as people try to be there for the worst, for the worst game. I give the White Sox social media credit. They're being funny. They're being like, like, when they lose, instead of putting the score up now they'll be like check social media. Like They're like they're trying to make jokes about which is the best, but they disappointed all their fans last night by winning as they tried to break the record.

Speaker 5: Do you think the players are thrown off by the crowds They've been playing for no one for months, they get to know messing with them a little bit?

Speaker 2: Yeah, maybe. So I also wanted to talk. We talked not that long ago about you know, there was the Trump the assassination attempt. So they put together a government group to try to figure out why did it happen, Like, why was this why did this happen so easily? And their initial report came out, and I wanted to bring it up because it showcases something I've said over and over about things. Basically, there were a lot of reasons, but the main reason was no one was in charge. There was a state police group, there was the Secret Service, there were local police, but no one was in charge, and everybody was kind of doing their own thing, and stuff slipped through the cracks, specifically this guy. So two different police officers, actually I did the guy, but they didn't feel like they were in charge of that area, and so they didn't and they didn't so like the local police don't report to the Secret Service, the Secret Service, don't report to the local police. There was no sharing of information, and you ended up with the situation, which, by the way, if you remember when they did the nine to eleven report, was the exact same thing. There was nobody sort of in charge, and there was all this information that didn't get shared. Goes to my thing, which is ultimately people, especially on my side of the eye, liberals like to say everybody should get to talk. Not everybody should get to talk. There has to be somebody in charge, because when someone is not in charge, you end up with stuff like this, And that report basically said the problem was they said at presidential events where the president or a candidate is going, there needs to be one person in charge of the event. And it's not like that now for presidential candidates. It is like that for the se gitting president, and that needs to be changed, which seems perfectly reasonable.

Speaker 4: Perfectly reasonable that that can't happen, Like you said, especially in an event like that where you have an important political figure, you've got to take precautions. You do just ca have to that that things like that cannot happen.

Speaker 2: So Congress this week actually passed which I can't believe this hadn't happened yet. They're giving both Trump and Harris the presidential level of security for the rest of the campaign, which to me, I don't know why that wasn't happening below. I mean, I would argue Trump and Harris are in much more danger now than Biden is, right because he's not running again. So it seems to me that like as soon as someone is the nominee of their party, Drew, shouldn't they at that point be treated as if they're the president almost during that period of.

And they're playing the Connecticut Son all right, so obviously it's gets a lot of attention. But Jack Mac said, and I don't know if Jack Mac is right, but like I feel like he probably is. One of the players on the Indiana Fever is dating one of the players on the Connecticut Son and they're playing against each other. And one of the coaches on the Indiana Fever is dating one of the coaches on the Connecticut Sun. And he's like, how are they not talking about this? And I agree with him. Can you imagine? I mean, they're in a lesbian relationship, but they are playing against each other in the playoffs. To me, that's like a pretty amazing story, isn't it, Drew. Wouldn't you wonder what their house has to be? Like they live together. I saw that they live together, and they're playing against each other in the playoffs, Like I want that reality show, don't you.

Mitch Farnhardt say whatever you want about him being conservative and kind of like not embracing change. I have some of those criticisms, but it's pretty excuse my language. I'm a gene pretty ballsy to sit and look at them and say, no, you're not coming back, and then Cal gave up all of that money for the rest of his life. Now he's going to do fine at Arkansas. I'm not crying for him, Drew, but that's a pretty amazing decision.

The groundswell of support didn't happen. And Ryan, I think he was taken aback by it.

And then when I got the phone call, assuming I was being told it was going to be the other one. I was very disappointed and kind of had a negative reaction and I regret that. And I've said I said to Mark Pope when I saw him, I was like, you may have seen a couple of the tweets that I sent right after it happened. He said, I did, he said, and he said, I'd have probably had to say. That's what's good about him, man, it is he He really has an attitude, that is the attitude is perfect for here. I hope we win because if we win, it's gonna be a lot of fun with him. Yep.

We were already scheduled to be there that day and there were a ton of people there. Pope gets high the night before and when I get there, Shannon and Billy are kind of ranting about the hire. Understandably, the mood in the crowd is not positive. It's not positive. There are a ton of people there, and over the course of the two hours, the mood about the Pope hire completely flipped it and by the time I left, it felt like everybody was in And all that had happened in those hours were the Crafts pledging five million to Denil Mitch's interview, which in my opinions as good an interview as he's done since he's been the coach at Kentucky. And then Patino's video comes out of him, you know, saying he'll give money and all this, and by the time I walked out, it felt like the crowd was into it. And two days and that's when that's when Barnhardt announces the press conference. I think he announced it on this show that they were going to do the press conference in Rapperena, and it was like the psychology of the room just flipped during those two hours.
