00:00:44
Speaker 1: Uh, you know what.

00:00:45
Speaker 2: Getting a lot of feedback on our intro chat speaking of a Hey can watch us on YouTube. Yeah, people saying it's absolutely allowed to laugh at fans when their team's loose. Oh like there's joy in that, all right, Cavino and Rich, we'd be rocking. Fact actually said Cowboys fans. It's my favorite thing to do. Teams are fun to laugh at. 00:01:13
Speaker 1: You know, somebody's got to have his back.

00:01:15
Speaker 2: No, everybody in the NFL has such a great attitude, give me a break.

00:01:20
Speaker 3: He wound up getting signed.

00:01:21
Speaker 2: I'm ing for the guy.

00:01:25
Speaker 3: Just being invited to minicamp. The Ravens were like, let's sign you to a contract.

00:01:29
Speaker 2: That's cool, And I just hope he proves everybody wrong because he has a choice, right, he could either be Johnny Manziel or he could be Baker Mayfield, and I hope he takes the right path. What happens, I'm saying it's there was something comical about a really boisterous, loud guy just sitting there with thirty two hats not getting drafted. Its sad, dude. I've seen a lot of his interviews. He's a little overly confident, Like is that a crime? I don't know, you know what. Apparently for him it was. I want to put Isaac on the spot because you know, why wouldn't I when you do a three year deal for a unsigned guy like that, And though like, yeah, I saw like a three years what type of money is involved with that a very Is that a very low key situation or.

00:02:07
Speaker 1: Is what's that all about?

00:02:08
Speaker 3: You think?

00:02:08
Speaker 2: Oh?

00:02:08
Speaker 4: No, I mean it's it's it's in the six figures. But the issue is it's non guaranteed. It's a it's a pretty standard in terms of length, three years. The problem is it's not guaranteed, and they can obviously fire me.

00:02:20
Speaker 2: We're not talking. We're not talking millions. This is this is hundreds of thousands.

00:02:23
Speaker 1: Probably.

00:02:24
Speaker 2: Oh yeah, it ain't chump change, but it ain't. But it's certainly not Milia. He's not signing some Uh okay, gotcha, just wasn't quite sure.

00:02:31
Speaker 3: Yeah, it's the big thing.

00:02:33
Speaker 1: That's Danny g.

00:02:34
Speaker 2: We got teenage Mutant Ninja, Sammy over there, Sammy Sweetheart on the ones and twos? What is T M N T T shirt on and again we are cn R on FSR and rich I thought of one last thing about the art of the mixtape, because there's a lot of mixtape gossip in the world of sports today. It's got to have a flow, it's got to have a theme, it's got to have a title, it's got to have heart put into it. It's gotta have effort, and there's much time and energy put into those.

00:03:01
Speaker 1: I made so many in my life.

00:03:03
Speaker 2: Remember, you had to balance out the songs just right because you didn't want to leave too much space at the end of the tape. But you didn't want to get one song cut off at the end of the tape either, so you had to play it out just perfect. You also have to press that little but I don't know what it was called, Danny g. Do you remember on the cassette that little thing you have to push it in so that no one could record over it. I don't know the name of that, but you don't talk about there's a little tab. Rich is like what tab have you ever? You had to push the tab in otherwise they can tab.

00:03:29
Speaker 3: You broke the tab off, and then when you went to record over the cassette tape, you put like wadded up a piece of paper and then taped it over.

00:03:35
Speaker 2: But you didn't Was was there anything more frustrating when someone accidentally taped over something?

00:03:40
Speaker 5: Oh?

00:03:42
Speaker 2: Someone taped over I had Major League on VHS, and I remember someone accidentally taped.

00:03:49
Speaker 1: Over my wild thing.

00:03:51
Speaker 2: Rick Vaughan takes out like a Disney TV movie of the Week. I started fighting a Navigator four minutes, like three or four minutes, and there's still you know, they're still doing the opening credits City Lights.

00:04:03
Speaker 3: One thing I was really early on as a little kid was Fresh Prince of bel Air. I mean I I recorded, I tape recorded the pilot because I'm like a rapper having his own TV show. So I continuously every week tape that show. My mom recorded crap over. I remember grabbing one like let me let me go back to the beginning, and it was like some soap opera stuff my mom taped over Fresh Prince of bel Air.

00:04:27
Speaker 1: Yeah, Bill Donahue, I.

00:04:28
Speaker 2: Remember what it was. So I'm watching Major League. They're still doing that intro, remember it was it Randy Newman, the god that sings I Love La. He has that song Cleveland City of Lights City and they're doing the montage. All of a sudden, some lay Man's eighty show, Simon and Simon comes on, like a detective show, and I'm like, what is this. I think my mom or dad taped Simon and Simon. Who isn't that by the way, Gerald, Gerald McCraney, there you go. Gerald mcreane would say, the bald guy with the mustache, he.

00:04:58
Speaker 1: Should have been a jake and the fat man right shake in the mine as well have been Wow.

00:05:02
Speaker 2: All right, speaking of fat guys with mustaches, there's a guy who is enemy number one today, a guy that stole the ball. Now, this is another art we need to perfect and we need to figure out. Zach Hampbell seems to be the league leader of hatred when it comes to catching found balls and home runs. And honestly, I get that he's annoying. Rich and I have interviewed that guy, Zach Hampbell. He's written a book. He catches all those memorable monumental home runs. He wasn't that bad of a guy. He gets a lot of hate. Well, guess what, he's not getting as much hate this week, because there's a new there's a new Vandolin, there's a new villain.

00:05:41
Speaker 1: And by the way, villain.

00:05:42
Speaker 2: Can I tell you I've probably been to more baseball games than the average Felow by far, because my family was met season ticket holders for a while. When we worked at SNY. Part of our deal was season tickets. There were times where I was going to twenty five thirty games a year, for sure. Would you believe never caught a foul ball, and it's not like it's not like I missed one. It's just luck strikech in different areas of life. And I'm very blessed in my life.

00:06:09
Speaker 3: But did you make up for it as a bushwhacker?

00:06:11
Speaker 1: Yeah, we get Yeah, we got a lot of TV time.

00:06:14
Speaker 2: Look it up on YouTube, Covino and Rich Bushwhacken, because we've gotten a lot of TV time at the home run Derby's.

00:06:20
Speaker 1: But we've never caught a home run. We've never caught a foul ball.

00:06:23
Speaker 2: Yeah, last year, do you remember if you saw us last year right run Derby, the guy behind us caught one right over the base.

00:06:30
Speaker 1: It was like never, never an apicion.

00:06:33
Speaker 3: Should have caught that one if you had reached the right spot.

00:06:35
Speaker 1: But you know what, Danny, he had one of those huge blue gloves on the ones that you promotion.

00:06:41
Speaker 2: But you know what, shout out to my buddy Owen, who I know listens on the Apple One's well, one of my buddies.

00:06:46
Speaker 1: He's in his like mid thirties.

00:06:47
Speaker 2: He goes, Yo, would you believe the other day I was at the Dodgers game, He goes, I caught a foul ball for the first time in my life.

00:06:53
Speaker 1: And he goes it was a thrill. It really was a thrill. You feel like you're the chosen one for the day.

00:06:58
Speaker 2: Can I tell you this though, I was at City Field a couple of years ago with my kids as part of the ten Mets losses in a row I've witnessed in person, and a ball bounced. It wasn't on a fly, so I don't think it would have counted anyway, But a ball bounced in my section, rolled under the chair in some big galut, some big goon like pulled the ball away from me and my son like under the chair, like we reached under at the same time, and he saw my little son there. And can I tell you, my wife was all happy about it because this guy went back to his seat. His girlfriend was so turned off. My wife's like, yeah, he's not getting any tonight. Like his wife looked at him at the air like looked at him like, you just took that ball away from that father and son that were trying to get the ball.

00:07:43
Speaker 3: In some of the coolest videos we've ever seen is when somebody hands the ball to a little kid and you see the reaction from that little fe You know what I.

00:07:50
Speaker 1: Disagree in this. I think the right. Here's my thought.

00:07:54
Speaker 2: I think the joy is the catch. Like if a ball comes to me, I'm there but third base line. Catching the balls the thrill once.

00:08:04
Speaker 1: I catch it? Hey is there a kid around me? He take a kid. I don't care about the ball.

00:08:09
Speaker 2: Just this kid, little Steve, pumpkin pie haircuted kidd and me never got What are you gonna do with it? So after my first I'm gonna put it in my sock draw and keep it there and look at it every time.

00:08:19
Speaker 1: I probably for good, rob it for good luck. After I get my You know this does a loser move?

00:08:24
Speaker 2: No, Because after I get my first one, you know, I'll be more than happy to give any nose picking kid in the vicinity have a question, But I gotta get think we'll give you a second one. If you do that, I gotta get my first one. I look at you not handing off my first one. Look, I'll give it to my own kid. I'll give it to my nephews. But I look at that. Why I'm worried about this kid inside who never got his. I'm worried about me. Dude, you're in your forties. I don't care after that. I'm not saying I'm stealing one from a kid. I'm just saying I'm not giving mine to some nose picking kid the whole until I get my first.

00:09:00
Speaker 1: Well hope after that I'll give out its a whole.

00:09:02
Speaker 3: Bs.

00:09:02
Speaker 1: Thought of you being like, oh, give it to my daughter. You told us a teenager that doesn't give up.

00:09:06
Speaker 2: I'm just about kids in my life that come before some random kid I don't know, So that one is the one, and then after that, I think that's a fair you're telling me you're good. Do you tell me you're the game? You catch a pop up and there's some little kid at Dodger staying with the Dodgers hating a glove next to you, you're gonna be like, no, I'm gonna look at him say I know the feeling kid that was me. So you just have to wait for your turn. One day you're gonna get yours. Nothing would make me happier is if you were caught on TV doing that and you became the biggest a hole of the night on the Sports Steve's.

00:09:33
Speaker 6: Gonna catch his first and then his pants are gonna fall down like that guy from the video.

00:09:38
Speaker 1: I wish.

00:09:40
Speaker 2: My point is this last night, dude, you're you're making it out that I'm I'm that's a villain move.

00:09:45
Speaker 1: A villain move is stealing a ball from a kid that's not.

00:09:48
Speaker 2: Also, but I also think a loser move, all right, A villain move is that.

00:09:51
Speaker 1: Now I'm talking about something else.

00:09:53
Speaker 2: A loser move is catching a ball at a stadium, unless it's Otani's game winning home run, or unless it's you know, someone's seventieth or something, iron judges, you know, record breaking, if it's a foul ball off the bed of you know, Miguel Cairo. Are you you really want that ball? Are you proud of yourself? What are you gonna do with it? It's a base told you, I'm gonna keep it my Toony's druve. I want it for good luck every day. Yeah, but what are you gonna do? You're gonna show it to someone you don't? You want to know something weird and do it. I'll show you something today. I have a baseball in my sock drawer right now. I don't know who gave it to me, but I keep it there so I'll replace that one.

00:10:32
Speaker 3: You're twenty seventh Litle League yeah, I think.

00:10:34
Speaker 2: It might be my twenty seventh and final home run. But the question, I have a baseball in my sock drawer and I'll add this one to that.

00:10:41
Speaker 1: Can I tell you how you display it?

00:10:43
Speaker 6: You take the freeze frame of him catching it on TV, you print that out, you put it behind the display in a glass case, and the ball is sitting on a little stand, and then so Steve's picture of him catching it.

00:10:52
Speaker 1: It's like, oh, there's the association right there.

00:10:54
Speaker 2: But I was Sam, when you really think about it, it's not signed.

00:10:59
Speaker 1: It's just a baseball.

00:11:00
Speaker 2: What a loser you'd have to be not to give it to a little kid, even a home run, even a home run, you're big rich.

00:11:08
Speaker 3: What if it was a monumental home I just said that.

00:11:11
Speaker 2: I said, if it was something that would be valuable, if it was like a home run, if it was like Otani's.

00:11:15
Speaker 3: But you still you wouldn't feel bad if there was a little kid giving you puppy eyes next to you for something like that.

00:11:19
Speaker 1: Anny.

00:11:20
Speaker 2: If this is something that could be worth hundreds of thousands of dollars with Steiner Sports or something, Yeah, I worry about my family, But I said, if this is a foul ball or a home run off the bed of Michael Confardo.

00:11:32
Speaker 1: I know what I'm doing.

00:11:33
Speaker 2: I'm saying, hey, little kid, Hey, it means more to you what a loser you'd be. It's a baseball grow up. I bring this up because last night, it might have been the night before.

00:11:43
Speaker 1: Agreed to disagree. You're the greatest guy.

00:11:46
Speaker 2: I'm keeping that weus bro one. You're making a big deal like I'm the borest guy ever.

00:11:51
Speaker 1: I haven't heard that years.

00:11:53
Speaker 2: Yeah, wow, we should be the lead singer of the band Weenus. Why don't put that on your mixtape? Isn't that the elbow right here? Tuk by Wenus? You know?

00:12:02
Speaker 1: Why don't you gehead touch it?

00:12:04
Speaker 2: But you know what, I want to make it very clear because rich is making me out to be a bad guy. One ball for my childhood dream that I'm the worst guy ever.

00:12:12
Speaker 1: Richie the best. So there you go.

00:12:16
Speaker 2: There's a guy last night or the night before. I don't need you to play stat point back gratch I. Let's two nights ago it happened to hit my algorithm and this guy there. I don't think you could be more embarrassed than this guy. Some slob at the game. The ball bounces in front of a brother and a sister, two little kids with their baseball gloves on.

00:12:35
Speaker 1: They're all pumped up. They reach down for the ball and some slob.

00:12:38
Speaker 2: Runs over to their section and pulls it away from them, pulls it. Now, that's the difference. That's why I don't want to get mixed up with losers like this guy. I never said I'd steal it from a kid. That is that The commentators I think they sent you know how every every team has their like in stands man or woman. That's like the on field reporter, the onfield report, I think his name is Ryan. They sent him up there to give those kid a ball, and.

00:13:01
Speaker 1: They made it.

00:13:02
Speaker 2: They made a crappy moment, like a nice moment, a good pr. It was a good pr nice little moment. But the reality is like, if you're doing that, like you're the lowest form of weenus loser to the highest regard.

00:13:15
Speaker 1: To pull a ball away from a kid.

00:13:17
Speaker 2: In a game, you should be banned from ever seeing a woman in your life. Like God, the biggest itch forra al women of all time, you might be the biggest loser that ever was. Yeah, it's really it's a really this might be the worst look.

00:13:32
Speaker 3: You know.

00:13:32
Speaker 2: There was one from the Mets game a while back, Rich that we were talking about earlier too, about this this bearded guy steals one from the old guy, like that's it all got, probably like one of the few remaining World to War two veterans, and then some dude rips the ball from him.

00:13:45
Speaker 3: I think that's worse because that guy's towards the end of his life, and maybe he's like Covino and he never touched a foul ball every movement. At least the little kid.

00:13:54
Speaker 1: He has his whole life.

00:13:56
Speaker 3: The little kid has his whole life in front of him and a lot more MLB games.

00:13:59
Speaker 1: To a t they're both losers in my opinion.

00:14:01
Speaker 2: It's the same mentality of like people fighting over TVs on Black Friday, like that type of mentality, Like you're fighting over a baseball. Even worse, you're stealing it from an old guy or a little kid, Like you should be embarrassed. It's like it's like people trying to push a kid away in an autograph opportunity.

00:14:18
Speaker 1: Yeah, gross, gross. Imagine what you must think if you're an athlete.

00:14:22
Speaker 2: Let's say you are Benny Barrels, Benny Benaros, Ben right, Aaron Judge or John Carlow. See, I'm even giving you Yankees props. Let's say there's Yankees that are sunning autographs or some kiddo's down by the field, right. Hm. Imagine if your little nephew, James, boy James runs down there with his Yankees hat on, He's like, hey, uncle Steve, Look it's Aaron Judge. It's some like Guido from Jersey pushes your nephew other.

00:14:46
Speaker 1: The way I'm Judge quite like kill god.

00:14:50
Speaker 3: Yeah. This is like the time Brenda and I saw a couple at Disneyland pushing little kids out of the way to get a autograph, not a picture. They did get pictures too, with Daisy Duck. Is that Donald's girlfriend. That's fantastic. Yeah, that's what this reminds me. And like we were looking and we thought, well, they're in a hurry to get their kids, you know, a picture of a photo op.

00:15:11
Speaker 1: And then you're like, oh, okay, then.

00:15:12
Speaker 3: We realized they're not here with kids. What a bunch of losers.

00:15:17
Speaker 1: Yeah, the question is like, who's the bigger loser there?

00:15:19
Speaker 2: The Disney person that takes that photo op over a kid or the guy who stole the ball from the kids yesterday. I'm not a hater of Disney adults if they like theme parks, but the Disney adults like collect pins and autographs and stuff. I'm like, well, no, I hope I'm not upsetting anyone, but I don't want to hang out. Is there and I'm just saying this for conversations sake? Is there a benefit of the doubt, like where this guy just read it wrong because he looks so happy. I'm watching it now, and you know he is happy in the moment. He holds it up like he's proud, Like you know if he was waiting his whole life? Is there would any backstory justify his actions here?

00:15:58
Speaker 6: What if the guy was like, I'm to be dead from some disease in ten days. It's mind, and then we all feel bad about how we judged him.

00:16:05
Speaker 1: What if it was like what if?

00:16:07
Speaker 2: What if like he never got loving in his life? Right, and he told this girl I'm going to the game to night. She's like, oh, yeah, well if you get a home run, maybe I'll get something.

00:16:15
Speaker 1: Yeah.

00:16:15
Speaker 2: What's almost like something like what if he was like, oh my God, Yeah, what if some woman's like, we can have a threesome with me and my best friend if you catch a home run ball?

00:16:23
Speaker 1: What do I gonna do?

00:16:24
Speaker 2: You gotta get on if you get on TV because you catch a home run, then now think about it me. Has that changed the story at all? Because what justifies this guy's action? You can see it right now, I'm streaming it at Covene owners Jefson You what if it was there?

00:16:38
Speaker 1: Un impracticable jokers? Yes, I mean this is very fecauseo.

00:16:42
Speaker 2: How in his right mind could he like be holding it up proudly when he sole it from a little boy and a little girl.

00:16:49
Speaker 1: If you missed the moment, you could watch it now. But take a listen. They didn't show because we're gone to break.

00:16:53
Speaker 3: The boy, who I imagine as your brother, had gone up to that fan.

00:16:56
Speaker 1: Yeah, and it looked like he was asking the fan, can we get that consider? And yeah, you know what it was. It was an interaction that was uncomfortable to watch.

00:17:05
Speaker 7: It was it felt embarrassed for for.

00:17:08
Speaker 3: The guy and look the brothers happy he gets to hold the baseball and she's overcome and who can blame her?

00:17:16
Speaker 2: It was he's bending down a raised Guardians game. But do you see I wish people could all be on the YouTube channel with us. Look, it's about coil, you know everyone, Look this guy jumps in front of the kids.

00:17:28
Speaker 3: You don't run over to somebody else's personal space to steal a ball.

00:17:32
Speaker 2: Devil's advocate again, can you be caught in the moment, like you're so excited that common sense didn't trigger a register in that moment because the adrenaline rush is real though, when the ball's.

00:17:46
Speaker 3: Coming right at you.

00:17:48
Speaker 1: But look he bends down and has to run over to It was so wild that man feel it from a little girl.

00:17:55
Speaker 2: Yeah, this dude, it's the lowest, it's the lowest form of like he doesn't have behavior he deserves.

00:18:00
Speaker 3: You see the look on the little boy's face. He's like, did that really happen? Did that guy really just do that?

00:18:06
Speaker 2: Yeah, it's a fun club. Thanks for being a loser, so we could talk about it. And uh, I'm well handled by the by the security.

00:18:13
Speaker 1: So that was that. Cleveland Guardians, Cleveland Guardian's home game.

00:18:16
Speaker 2: Yeah, Guardians rays and this guy is the enemy of the day. You know what I saw? You know, remember, you know you've seen the slickest one of all time? Right guys? You saw it was hit to him and he dropped it. So does that change it? No, he dropped it, we know, like I mean, he was right in his chest, right in his belly, look at us. Watch does that change it? Because he lost it makes it? In fact, it makes it worse?

00:18:45
Speaker 1: Poor guy, poor guy.

00:18:47
Speaker 2: Do you ever see the slickest move of all time? This little boy has to be like ten years old. He gets tossed a foul ball. He catches it, and there's like an attractive like woman next to him, and he takes a different ball out of his bag as if he's giving her the ball, and everyone everyone's like, yo, that's a little player in training right here.

00:19:06
Speaker 1: Oh yes, a classic one.

00:19:07
Speaker 2: So hey, your thoughts at Covin on rich In fact, forget that. We're gonna play Big Puppy Trivia next. If go if you want to bring in Big Puppy, I'm curious what Big Poppy things about stealing a ball from a kid. I'll have to ask him that we're going to play next. If you want in, the phones are open now for you eight seven, seven, nine to nine on Fox, will do it next right here, Covin on Rich on Fox Sports Radio. Speaker 1: That's one.

00:23:55
Speaker 2: Scrambling for a ball under a seat is the lowest form of getting a foul ball?

Speaker 1: Nineteen oh one huh for the American League?

00:31:39
Speaker 4: Yeah, because I know the first World Series was nineteen oh three, so that eliminated nineteen oh seven, one hundred and twenty five years old maneah. First World Series was Boston against Pittsburgh and.

00:31:49
Speaker 1: Seven Empires in a World Series game. Now was I learned that today for the first time?

00:31:53
Speaker 2: In fact, you know, big Miku runs his place? Was that that first World Series game? That first World Series?

00:31:59
Speaker 3: I was gonna say, but you made me laugh.

00:32:01
Speaker 1: I was gonna say that. Rob Parker claimed he covered it. But we're all we're all recovering baseball.

00:32:12
Speaker 2: I got covered before they were MLB pos.

00:32:17
Speaker 4: I was there when it was a best of nine. Anyway, we're all the same page. Also with what the NBA is trying to do, ESPN reports the NBA's proposed to reform the draft lottery by expanding it to sixteen teams and by penalizing the teams that finished with the three worst records in the league, with fewer ping pong balls. The owners will vote on the proposal at the end of May. If approved, the new procedure would begin with the draft lottery in twenty twenty seven. College hoops multiple outlets support the NCAA has initiated the final steps to expand the men's and women's basketball tournaments to seventy six teams. Tournament expansion could be officially announced during this second week of May.

00:32:56
Speaker 2: I always say, isaacause I'm like, I mean, like it's sixty four, like you know, like sometimes too much of a good thing, Like it's it's great now, right, Like the bracket's great now, Like football is close to having it right, and sometimes you wonder if they push it, like stop, right, I mean, like.

00:33:11
Speaker 1: Sixty four teams not enough?

00:33:13
Speaker 4: At some point you jumped the shark, right. I don't think any of us ever had a problem with sixty four teams.

00:33:21
Speaker 1: No one's ever said, at oh man, my team.

00:33:23
Speaker 2: Just if you can't be a top sixty four team, then you're just playing to make money, and that no one wants to think that's the sole reason.

00:33:29
Speaker 1: Right.

00:33:30
Speaker 4: There are tipping points all over NCAA tournament, NFL schedule, et cetera, et cetera. Well, there was a tipping point in Philadelphia today because of Major League Baseball. The Phillies fired manager Rob Thompson. Bench coach Don Mattingley named interim manager for the rest of the season. Phillies president Dave Dombrowski, however, confirmed today that he first offered the job to recently fired Boston Red Sox manager Alex Cora on Sunday morning, but the Cora declined. In the NFL, the Athletic Reporter of the New York Jets hosted quarterback Russell Wilson for a free agent visit Baltimore Ravens, signing undrafted free agent quarterback Diego Pavia.

00:34:05
Speaker 2: Guys, all yours, thank you Mets in the Phillies with an equal amount of suck. Don't you feel like you wouldn't think that though, Like I feel like the Phillies haven't got as much hate. Well, I mean, both expected to play well, but the Mets are they had that, they have the whole Wan Soto and they made all these moves the expectations of New York. Yeah, I would say that's probably why. I mean, sure, BUR's bet in one ninety six, but he still has nine home runs. Like, I don't know, just seems like they also reacted too.

00:34:36
Speaker 3: Though, bicker than the Mets and Rich. We have twelve Mets fans on our network. No Phillies fans.

00:34:41
Speaker 2: Yeah, but I feel like Philly media and New York media, they both chirp real loud, and I don't know, maybe just I don't know, it's I think Met fans are just sadder, sadder group of people. All right, hey, we got more Covino on Rich. It's a fun day Tuesday, Fox Sports Ready, hunk tight.

00:34:59
Speaker 1: We saw and we sucked at a time that you can't suck. So Celtics about to tip off? Huh.

00:35:12
Speaker 2: By the way, I hope you had a magic thunder nugget sort a night last night. Oh, magic thunder nuggets? Can I get those from my kids? Yoh loves magic thunder nuggets. I'm sick of din of nuggets. There's magic thunder nuggets home. Yeah, but yeah, seventy six or Celtics super Mario toys. Yeah, I know, right, Hawks, Nicks, Trailblazers, Spurs, enjoy your NBA.

00:35:31
Speaker 1: You know, one with princess peaching it.

00:35:32
Speaker 3: Two teams are fighting for their lives tonight. The Sixers and the Blazers.

00:35:37
Speaker 2: Well, those are two series that should be wrapped up sooner than later. I think the one interesting one Danny, besides Nicks Hawks, which is that's gonna be that that may go seven, right, I think the one is can the can the one seed Pistons battle back down three to one? Like that's that was unexpected? And you you you called it not to pat you on the back. We're not the type of show that's I told you so. But Danny's like Yo, Caid Cunningham doesn't have a strong number two.

00:36:02
Speaker 1: Should I said strong number two?

00:36:04
Speaker 2: And you were saying they play good defense, are a good team, but you said you weren't expecting them to really be that dominant in the postseason.

00:36:10
Speaker 3: That's why there's been rumors floating around about them. Anybody would love getting Yannis, but especially Detroit. And the question is, but would Yiannis want to go to Detroit?

00:36:20
Speaker 1: So firing up, you got plans, enjoy your basketball. I have a football question for you, but we got to wrap it up. Its getting later early. We're lighting the Fox Sports radio studio.

00:37:03
Speaker 2: And Big Michael runs his place. He's gonna give you his take because we do. Yep, Big Mike, who runs his take. I'm sorry, I'm laughing. I'm looking at our Instagram page. We posted a clip about page Beckers and asy Fud and their relationship and how they addressed it and like would you put it out there? Should people be able to ask you? And it's just so funny how right out the gate some WNBA like feminist type of fan win at Covino and then I love how Cavino takes a bait and he goes back and forth. It's you can't resist, can you? Because it's not from a judgmental place. It's a business question. It's a fair question for anyone to ask, would you risk millions of dollars on someone if they were in relations together to work for your company?

00:37:45
Speaker 1: Someone rot, someone runs logic.

00:37:48
Speaker 2: Someone wrote two grown as men speaking on s they don't know.

00:37:52
Speaker 1: You're loud and wrong.

00:37:53
Speaker 2: And I'm like, I was counting down the second of my Cavino is going to respond in three two?

00:37:57
Speaker 1: Oh there it is? So hey, leave comments, I leave comments.

00:38:01
Speaker 2: Have some fun with us, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok at covid on redshrot.

00:38:07

00:38:14
Speaker 1: I told you last week. I thought the Dallas Wings was a restaurant until they drafted. Is he fun?

00:38:18
Speaker 2: So not a lot of buzz about the third round of the NFL draft pick, even though you know people are tuned in it's a big moment.

00:38:25
Speaker 1: Yeah, But there was a story that sort of went under the radar.

00:38:28
Speaker 2: And there's this guy from Penn State quarterback from Penn State Drew Aller who grew up a Browns fan. So his whole life twenty years season take, his family were Browns fans. This kid was all about the Browns. God bless him. It wasn't bound to happen. And out of nowhere, he's drafted by get this, the Pittsburgh Steelers.

00:38:52
Speaker 1: And what's funny about it is he's waited.

00:38:54
Speaker 2: You know, he's rooted against them his whole life, like despised them his whole life.

00:38:59
Speaker 1: But it's not even you know, you see.

00:39:00
Speaker 2: Everyone there like real excited, like and the pig, you know, Drew Aller for the Pittsburgh Steelers, and he sort of reluctantly refuses to put the hat on.

00:39:09
Speaker 3: Because his mom and dad are like, it's okay, it's.

00:39:11
Speaker 1: In his DNA to like hate this. That's like a Yankees fan.

00:39:15
Speaker 2: But even me, I was thinking about that, right, It's like, you still want to make the league, you want to be in the club, you want to fulfill your dream.

00:39:21
Speaker 1: It's like if I was drafted by the Red Sox.

00:39:24
Speaker 6: Yeah there guy a picture for the Red Sox who is a Yankee fan. All this online hate.

00:39:29
Speaker 2: People, Yeah, yeah, Cam Schlitler, there you go, he's like enemy number one. He now says, you know, f you Boston idiots, I'm a Yankee, like I do, think you just you're proud in that moment. You do it for your family, and you're like, hey, I guess I'm I'm a Red Sox now, even though your childhood dreams were with the Yankees. I am so surprised by his dude's reaction. He doesn't put the hat on immature reaction.

00:39:53
Speaker 1: It's wild.

00:39:54
Speaker 3: Nobody's standable.

00:39:58
Speaker 1: Did it was against his DNA like he couldn't He couldn't do it. It doesn't mat It's fool. It's like it's like Fonsie admitting he was wrong. It's like Shack putting on a Celtics jerse.

00:40:08
Speaker 2: I know Danny, but he played for them. I'm saying, like, as a fan, right, I'm a diehard Niners fan.

00:40:15
Speaker 1: I love the forty nine ers.

00:40:16
Speaker 2: I care way too much about that stupid team. But if my son, if Ben grows up to be a big dude. My wife has uncles at are like six or five, So I cross my fingers every night. What if Ben gets drafted in the NFL, they choose Ben Seattle Seahawks all of a sudden, I'm the biggest Seahawks fan.

00:40:36
Speaker 1: It's my kid. Fandom takes like such a drastic backseat to your kid.

00:40:42
Speaker 2: It's wild to see that my son was If my son was drafted by the Yankees, I'd put on pin strips immediately and kick the mets of the curbs.

00:40:49
Speaker 1: It's my kid.

00:40:50
Speaker 2: Hey, Drew Aller, we're here to say it's okay to put the Steelers hat on.

00:40:54
Speaker 1: Where were Pride?

00:40:55
Speaker 3: I love it?

00:40:56
Speaker 2: And uh, hey, you never know what's gonna happen with Pittsburgh, even though there's saying that Aaron Rodgers is most likely the guy. But I also want to give props to the shot clock and Justin Morelli because not a lot of people covered this story. It was in the third round and he brought it to my attention, and it's pretty wild to see because all his friends and family they're proud of him, but he doesn't know what to do in that moment. Imagine your childhood dream comes down to that moment and it's the one team you didn't want. It's a really interesting situation. Lean into it, buddy, congratulating. I'm trying to find the guy. I'll never think of it because you know, when you're looking for something on social media, what's the what's the theory?

00:41:34
Speaker 1: You can't find it. Yeah, I don't know the name of the theory.

Speaker 2: There's a guy who's such a diehard, dumb Mets fan. There was a story during a Mets broadcast where his son plays for another team. He watches the Mets game and then goes back and watches his son's.

00:41:47
Speaker 1: Highlight the other day. Yeah, that was a classic. Why watch your kid, watch your kid.

Speaker 2: We'll see you guys, Manyana. Have a great Taco Tuesday. Enjoy your NBA playoffs. A Riven there at you baby, see you in the Promise Land, and get my guys.
