- Things have dramatically changed for Rebecca with Max being 16 and driving.
- So far, Max is doing a great job communicating his comings and goings.
- While the driving burden has been lifted significantly, the emotional burden has increased in some ways due to worrying about then as they drive, as well as sadness at her son growing up so quickly.
- Rebecca is learning to give herself compassion as she adjusts to her son’s new responsibility.
- When you are taking moments to be reflective of how far your child has come, remember to give yourself some credit on how you have grown and adapted.
- So far, so good! Max is driving safely and being responsible.
- Rebecca and Seth are conscious of being sure to mind speed limits and traffic laws in order to set a good example for their young driver.
- They are continuing to have the important conversations around impaired driving- whether it is your kid or them riding with someone who is.
