Speaker 1: Reality with the King is hosted by me, Carlos King. I'm an executive producer who have produced some of your favorite shows from the Real Housewives of Atlanta, New Jersey and my own creation, The Love and Marriage Franchise and Bell Collective. Every episode, we recap reality television from the Real Housewives Franchise to The Bachelor or Selling Sunset, in addition to celebrity guests, whether in the unscripted space or scripted as well. Hey, rain drops. On today's episode Reality with the King, Alexis Janssen and I are back to recapus the falally. I'm sorry is our silent a Stampers News Beverly Hills. Alexis, we had a bet last episode. I said the finale was going to give us six. You said at eleven, Alexis, where do you stand out?

00:02:16
Speaker 4: Oh you said a seven. You said a seven point five. I said eleven point five, yeah, And I looked back. I looked at John last night and I go, honey, So because we watched it last night and I go I said it was going to be an eleven.

00:02:31
Speaker 5: Carlos said it was going to be seven point five.

00:02:33
Speaker 4: I lost this this this arm rustle hugely.

00:02:36
Speaker 5: It was like a six.

00:02:38
Speaker 4: I mean, I'm like, I Carlos did this to me and the show did this.

00:02:42
Speaker 1: Also everything with Dallas that I was wrong, you were wrong because it was just listened. It was just not It just wasn't a finale to me. And it's sort of Look, I'm not here to bash a show every week because nobody wants to hear that. But what I will say before we recap scene to scene is I gotta be honest with you. I'm kind of glad it's over, you know. And the reason why I'm glad it's over, Lexis is because I'm like, now it's time to really reassess and figure out what to do with this amazing franchise. Beverly Hills is fantastic. It has consistently, for the past maybe five years, maybe longer, been the number one Housewives franchise, beating Atlanta, who dominated for Mini Mini MENI MANI mean many years, and look, not every season is going to be spectacular. And I think this season when you talk about putting shows on palls like Miami, and look, Miami is on pause because of ratings Like full Stop. We all know that because that show is fucking amazing. It's an A plus. Belly Hills ratings are fine. They're not up this year, but they're not down to the point where they're worrying about cancelation. But from an enjoyment standpoint, you know, it's just it just wasn't there for me.

00:04:10
Speaker 4: I left sad. I left, I left kind of I left unfulfilled.

00:04:14
Speaker 5: I left thinking where do they go?

00:04:17
Speaker 4: What is Bravo possibly going to do? Because it's so divided, organically divided. This isn't acting, This isn't them trying to get better ratings, because Lord have mercy, they should have tried to put some glube on the broken pieces a little bit to get you know, at the at the very end. But so I just left kind of sad. And I, you know, like we started podcasting about this. You know how many seventeen weeks ago. Eighteen weeks ago, Carlos and I said to you even then, I said, wow, these women, everybody is in a dark place. I feel so bad for these women. Like authentically bad for these women who are going through true life crises, all of them almost. I mean Amanda no, but she did just lose a kid, but she has a great marriage and she's not really in the gutter right now with like some of the other women. And then who's the other one, Well, Kathy Hilton doesn't really have a lot, but then there was one other one, which one am I thinking. Anyways, the rest of them all have major life crisis is going on. So I was hoping for the finale, which I was why I was thinking it might be an eleven is that they would all kind of kumbayad and say, look, let's you know, and have a couple of funny moments or jump in the pool again.

00:05:20
Speaker 5: I don't know.

00:05:21
Speaker 4: I just wanted it to be something else that Okay, now we can go scene to scenes.

00:05:26
Speaker 1: Yeah, so look, the episode begins with Erica janas Sutton. Erica Jane said, you know, she's not going. She didn't go. It was a surprise to the audience because in last week's episode she did a scene with Rachel, but she was contemplating it. Going up a son's house solidified that she wasn't going to go.

00:05:50
Speaker 4: Do you think that she should have called though? Do you think that she should have called her texted and said I'm not or do you do you stand with Erica on that?

00:05:59
Speaker 1: By not, I stand with Erica. You can't talk to me that way and expect me to communicate with you via text, be a DM the you know, courtesy of a friend telling you the way Derey spoke to Erica. And I want to tell you the moment that pissed Erica off and it's going to be hard for her and to read to be friends like they were is the moment. She highlighted their off camera conversation where she said, when I told you to show more of your life or to do whatever, I didn't mean for you to be a C word. It was sort of like, not only are you talking about my position on the show, making it seem like I should be worried that I'm not bringing it, you ended it with calling me the nastiest word you can call a human.

00:06:57
Speaker 5: To the show.

00:06:58
Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, you know, like what.

00:07:02
Speaker 5: So you know it's funny, Carlos, I don't think. I didn't think that.

00:07:05
Speaker 4: Was the part, and maybe it is, and you're right, but I was thinking where erica shut down was when Dorrit said I'm better friends with Bose or Bose has been a better friend to me than you. I thought that was what Erica was, like, you mother effort, Are you kidding me?

00:07:20
Speaker 5: Eight years versus a two year friendship?

00:07:22
Speaker 4: Everything we've gone through, nine years, everything we've gone through together, and you're.

00:07:25
Speaker 5: Gonna say that. That's where I think Erica just went. It's that's fine. You know, you got a lot of making up to do after that. But you might be right. Maybe it was the other one.

00:07:33
Speaker 1: I think we're both right. I think I think I think both of those things. So no, to answer your question, Team Erica, I don't think Drie deserved a respectful text Kyle. Listen, Kyle. The reason why Kyle gives queen behavior and force multiplier behavior is because Kyle is always going to do the right thing, even in a tense moment. So she's She's like, look, I'm going to give you the cur to see of letting you know. I'm not showing up. I'm not gonna be a bit about it. I'm gonna let you know the same thing. Like whatever, girl, I'm gonna let you know. I think Erica was so pissed because it was the first time that Erica and Dury had a problem, and I think Erica was sort of like, I don't deserve this. You and Kyle I get it, you know, like that's been like three years of it, and to rewind what you said in the beginning. I don't know where the show goes from here because I can't stomach another season of Kyle versus Derey. I can't and it's giving me. Melissa Gorga and Teresa Giudich like how we the audience was like, we can't have this anymore. And then when the show went on pause, we all understood. We did not think it would take two years to get it. Right. Hey, Melissa and Teresa are back, and we're all sort of like, okay, great, and they're they're they're they're they're getting along, and I can't wait to see them get along this upcoming season. Kyle and d Reid. I can't watch it anymore to see Deiy and bowls at dur Reed's book party. I like bows a whole lot. Bowse had a horrible sophomore season. The ass kissing. I can't, I can't, I I I bows oh Rachel's ooh me, and you got the same hairstyle call me Rachel Bows. Oh welldid Kyle should have at least been here? I mean, blop, It's like Bows, you're doing too much ass kissing for my liking, and I it's hard for me to watch, and it's.

00:09:44
Speaker 4: Hard things from day one, from episode almost episode one or two of this season, you have.

00:09:49
Speaker 5: Been saying that. So yeah, you have been very true to yourself and you're still in the same position.

00:09:56
Speaker 4: I gosh, I really, I really. I just hope that Deit looks back on this and goes I was such. I was so lost on that season because I I really feel like the women are right, and I don't want to take sides. I don't want it to be Deret versus the women, and Dirt versus Team May and Team be whoever, you know, Kyle versus Dree.

00:10:17
Speaker 5: I don't want it to be that.

00:10:18
Speaker 4: And I'm the optimistic over here going I think that there's a chance.

00:10:22
Speaker 5: They're all going to get back together.

00:10:23
Speaker 4: I know that a lot of people don't think that they can ever, you know, reconcile this friendship, but I am going to stand firm and beliefs of that because time does heal, there's tamer and I would ever be as close and for real as close as we are now and have been able to squash some of the stuff that happened between us.

00:10:40
Speaker 5: But we could and we did.

00:10:41
Speaker 1: And time it took. It took you to not being on the show the same season for that to happen for.

00:10:47
Speaker 5: Like four years, Carlos.

00:10:49
Speaker 1: Three yep, to read them, Lesson made up after two years of not filming. So that's why I'm saying something has to happen. But but theatin.

00:11:00
Speaker 4: You, no, that's really it's just I just I really, really really, even after watching this one and seeing Eric is such a firm stance being like, no, you really lost me. Now you have got to really make up to me and really mean it. I haven't heard one apology from Durit's mouth that seemed sincere to any of the women. I get that she's probably exhausted because these women have been trying to explain to her, like you are in the Twilight Zone right.

00:11:22
Speaker 5: Now, you're not on Earth. You need to come back to Earth.

00:11:24
Speaker 4: We get it that you're going through a hard time and you will get back to Earth, but not her.

00:11:28
Speaker 5: Her apologies don't hit.

00:11:29
Speaker 4: They don't land, and I just feel sad for her, But I also just want her to kind of get that now that she's got the book deal and she's got this thing happening, I want her to get the strength and be like, Okay, I now get to get over this hump and stop blowing me.

00:11:44
Speaker 1: Woe is me?

00:11:45
Speaker 5: Woe is me? Got to stop and look at the other women. They've all got stuff going on that you should be there for them too. So anyway, I know you're exhausted.

00:11:54
Speaker 1: I've been talking about it, so I get it. How did you feel though, when Eric Jane said maybe p K was always right?

00:12:06
Speaker 4: Oh, I'm so glad you brought that up because I watched the watch What Happens Live and Erica was on and this got brought up. So I'm gonna give you some insight. So that was the number one question or the number two questions that Andy asked her, that said, you know, people want to know, and Erica goes, well, do you it's not anything that I thought. Okay, but Erica goes, do you remember when PK we were in that restaurant and Pek goes, if the waitress was over here and could hear us talking, you know, I guess it was alluding to the fact that she would not like that we're talking to each other this way, and so Erica was like, I meant that towards Dorit. Maybe p K was right, the waitress wouldn't like hearing us I'll talk this way to each other because of the way doriit just talked to me.

00:12:49
Speaker 5: It's not okay. So that's where Eric.

00:12:51
Speaker 4: Was coming from, which you didn't really know in scene because and Andy goes, oh, yeah, oh okay.

00:12:57
Speaker 5: So yeah, Eric was like, that's what I meant by it.

00:13:01
Speaker 1: I love you Erica, yes, and Erica love you down boots. I I the lie detective tested terms. That was a lot. I don't think that. I don't think that. I think I think she knew she had to clean it up. That's why these reality stars have amazing publicists, Hey Spencer to help them say Okay, let's let's find a way to clean this up. I don't think she meant that at all.

00:13:30
Speaker 5: Get the wind ax and let's wipe this clean.

00:13:33
Speaker 1: Let's clean up out for right Erica James spills the tea. I don't think she meant that, In my opinion, when she said that. I think she meant all of the things that Pete, this is the off camera stuff that I strongly believe it's the real issue. And you and I alluded to this and and and talk to about this weeks ago. The reason why Kyle and Maurice are TEAMPK. They know more about the situation than we did all And to be surp go ahead, lexis.

00:14:17
Speaker 5: No, I just said exactly. I said, you're right.

00:14:18
Speaker 1: I mean I was just agree, yeah, to be surprised when we learned that. Okay, Kyle's kind of TEMPK. That's weird. Mauricio, Okay, we get it. The bros. When Mauricio sat down with Durit this season and Derrey was throwing all these things at Mauricio, well did he tell you this? And he did this? And Marisa was like, that's not true. He wanted to he wants to see his kids, and I have the text and she goes, well, I do too, and he's showing his she neglects to show her. I think dere is a gas lighter. I think Deri is trying to paint PK in a bad light. I think Erica is privy to those things. Courtesy of Kyle. I think Kyle has informed Erica of a lot of things that she has seen and knows about the relationship. And I think Erica, in her confessional where she's comfortable, said that because she knows that, Wow, Dereit really is everything PK has said off camera. That's what I believe she meant by that. Ah mm hmm, Yeah, Dereet is. And when I say this, I want to start by saying this always. I find her to be a fascinating character. The problem is she's playing the character for too long, and it's time to hang up your acting. Chops right, music, theater is over, Okay, the moonlahb Rouge curtain closed, Okay, the fat man is out singing, the fat woman is out there belting the operaratic songs. Derie is time to hang up your Academy Emmy Tony Award winning performance. I thought it was cute. I understand you need the check. I understand you need the gig, Lisa Renna said in her book Okay, her memoir that's out in stores now audio book, also Alexis, Lisa Renna said, I spoke to a housewife who's who was on the verge of losing her job, and I said to her, you need to bring it and be real and you got to step it up. And everybody believed that was Dere and Deree has not been the same person in the past three years.

00:16:48
Speaker 5: Okay, But I think the other part to this is the audience.

00:16:53
Speaker 4: Any audience of any TV show, whether it's scripted or unscripted, wants the arc to get to the arc. Yes, growth happens, and then it moves on. And the problem is that this entire season it's gone like this slow. First of it was like this, then it went like this. It was like, oh, shoot, o great o great o great, great peak, and now it's just here, and the whole audience is like, where's the growth and where are we moving from here?

00:17:18
Speaker 5: That we gotta we gotta move on.

00:17:19
Speaker 4: That's why TV lasts and why the show's last for twenty seasons, Like uh oh see, it's you've got to have the arc.

00:17:24
Speaker 5: And they have to have it move on and it's not moving. And that's why I'm so disappointed from this finale. I wanted the arc to kind of move so that then the reunion would be a blow up and everything would be like what oh, And then next season.

00:17:37
Speaker 4: Here we are, We're Kumbaya again and we can find new all, you know, reasons to argue.

00:17:44
Speaker 1: This is reality with the King and I'm Carlos King. Let's get back into the show now if it's insane. And then look, so Sutton had the moment with Erica. She's pretty much like this pray is not going to be the same, like you said, because the comments she made about Bows being somebody who she's closer to and has been there for her, and you know she's over it. And then what we see after that is, you know, the ending of the party, Jennifer Tilley's forty thousand dollars gucco. Oh, Carlos, Oh, talk about it. Girl.

00:18:25
Speaker 4: I I right what I was doing because.

00:18:29
Speaker 5: I was in the kitchen at that point. I stopped what I was doing.

00:18:32
Speaker 4: I ran to the TV and I, God, that really just happen? Did that really just happen? Oh my gosh, is there a way she can glue this thing back together? I'm like, nope, that was just rolling your window down and throw forty thousand out your window. Plus it was a twenty twenty four Gucci. You're never getting that back. And that was two years ago. Yeah, oh god, oh gosh, Carlos, I'm so sad. I'm so sad for Jennifer, and she's just like, well, let me take my tongues because now my tummy hurts.

00:18:58
Speaker 1: Yes, no, exactly, that's what alexis. I'm not sad for her because the way are now. I will tell you why this woman has so much fucking money her and I'm not mad at it or feel sorry for her, because she doesn't even feel sorry for her because she knows is that.

00:19:18
Speaker 4: Forty thousand dollars handbag the same as my diet coke? Basically to her, like this diet coke is.

00:19:22
Speaker 1: Just yes, that's how listen to her.

00:19:24
Speaker 5: Okay, I don't know what it looks looks like to live in that world.

00:19:28
Speaker 1: If you or I broke anything that costs forty thousand dollars, we will be crying, not making a joke like, oh the tongue is here. I think Jennifer Tip is like, oh damn fuck. But to her, it's the price of the diet cokee sipping gone along with the plastic straw. She doesn't give a shit it. But but that's what makes her so interesting, that's what makes her so like fun to watch because she doesn't care. And that's what we like about this show.

00:20:00
Speaker 4: What I like about Jennifer Tilly is that humor goes a long way. There's a doctor or somebody that said that if you laugh, the more you laugh, it can add eleven years to your life or something like that, if there's a statistic.

00:20:10
Speaker 5: About how much you could laugh and whatever.

00:20:12
Speaker 4: So one of the things that I love about John and I is we laugh. I don't we have the same humor. Yes, we're dorky and people might not get it, but we laugh. Jennifer Tilly it makes you laugh at every scene no matter what she has. Humor her is her drug and it's great and it's what the show needs to be honest with how heavy this show was. So for me, I'm like, you need to bring that girl on full cast. Yes, like she needs to be full cast, But but then can she be as funny because then she'll be in some of the drama.

00:20:43
Speaker 5: That's the problem.

00:20:44
Speaker 4: Then she can't be the light hearted one because then she's like gonna be in the fight with one of the girls, because that's part of the show, is the conflict.

00:20:51
Speaker 1: That's true, No, that's true, and guess what. I don't want her to be a part of the drama. I think we need some comedy. I think we need comedy relief, and she she's service. Is that really? Really? Well? What did you think of the book cover of Deree's memoir?

00:21:08
Speaker 5: And I'm I'm the one that's in.

00:21:10
Speaker 4: I'm like in the popsicle stand when everyone else is in the popcorn stand. I think, but I like salt more than I like sugar, So I'm in the popcorn stand and everyone, I mean, rewhind not because I don't really like I don't like a popsicle at all anyway, So I don't agree with everyone. I think it's awesome that Dolrite had the book cover, and her book's coming out in June, and and you know, two months from the next April Maju, two months.

00:21:39
Speaker 1: Two one and a half months.

00:21:40
Speaker 4: It's coming out soon. And it's like, I don't mind that she did the book cover first. I don't mind that we celebrated that and she looked hot as heck, and I love that book cover. And by the way, Carlow's I stand true to my word. I am going to buy the book and I am going to read the book. I want to hear what she has to stand. I know you're not, and you laugh at me for it. But when I read it and tell you how good it is, and a couple by July or well, July's the wedding, okay, so by August or Sember. When I've done, I'm going to come to you and tell you that you should read the book or all okay, or I'll tell you that you shouldn't right right the highlights, but I'm doing it.

00:22:16
Speaker 1: Let me know how the book is, okay, I want to do it.

00:22:19
Speaker 5: And do you think what did you think about the book cover party?

00:22:22
Speaker 1: I think duriy is a beautiful woman, right, I thought the book cover was was was beautiful. She's a beautiful woman. She looked great. I I was fine with and and I thought the party looked good, you know, I thought for it to be a cover revealed the party did look great, and I thought she looked great as well.

00:22:44
Speaker 5: And I'm happy that like Amanda showed up because I do think that.

00:22:48
Speaker 4: And I'm kind of between the three that didn't show up, Sutton, Erica and Kyle. Obviously Kyle was not going to show up there and wait too broke into a spot no one would expect that. I kind of think that Erica and Sutton should have just gone even if they just went for a moment, I think they probably should have just popped in for a moment and put everything else aside, because at the end of the day, it's just like a wedding or a funeral or.

00:23:14
Speaker 5: This huge, amazing thing that's happening in Dured's life.

00:23:17
Speaker 4: You kind of put all the minutia side and go, we're still gonna have to work through this, but show up. And I would have if I was Erica, I would have sent the text. I would have sent a text and just said I cannot support I cannot come right now because I'm not in the right headspace. We've had a falling out, and you know, I'm only wishing well for you, but I just cannot be there because I'm going to ruin.

00:23:38
Speaker 5: I don't want to ruin your day, and I don't. It's not in me. It's not in me.

00:23:42
Speaker 4: I would have said something like that, but I think you know, to each their own, and that's what makes the world go around, and what makes everything interesting and exciting is everyone handles situations and conflict different and so I left her book party.

00:23:55
Speaker 5: I'm very happy for her. I hope her.

00:23:57
Speaker 4: Book is a success. She needs it too, she deserves it. At the end of the day, She's a hard worker. Carlos. The show's not easy to do. It is not easy to be a housewife in film that many hours and then have to deal with all the scrutiny and all of everybody's opinions like you're in mind, like like they have to deal with all of it, and it's so yes, wish well about it.

00:24:17
Speaker 1: I agree with one hundred percent of what you said. She's a hard worker on the show and off.

00:24:24
Speaker 4: That book was probably took Okay, you are so cynical. Sometimes I'm going to come through that computer and just.

00:24:30
Speaker 1: Like, oh, I'm given to read a compliment that was.

00:24:35
Speaker 5: A backhanded compliment.

00:24:37
Speaker 1: She's like a hard worker as a reality star. One thousand percent, she says.

00:24:42
Speaker 5: She You don't think that book took her anything to do.

00:24:47
Speaker 4: I mean, I get Amanda Francis sat down and wrote her book herself, but I'm sorry, I did talk to someone about writing a book with a ghostwriter, and I did, and I know everyone's going to laugh about that. Oh God, Alexis but I mean it didn't go anywhere. But anyways, when I was in the initial state, it's a lot.

00:25:02
Speaker 1: It's a lot.

00:25:03
Speaker 5: I went through, you know, my whole life and things.

00:25:05
Speaker 4: And I'm like, well, I can't really say this. And she's like, well, you can't write a book then if you got to disclose everything, Okay, you can't. You can't not talk about, you know, your camp experience with the guy that you know might have quote unquote molested you. You know, like the little things that I'm just like, I can go deep with all this. She's like, cause then you're not, You're not really ready for this. I'm like, okay, So that's why I want to read Duret's book. I want to see how.

00:25:26
Speaker 1: She goes deep. I do, because the thing is, she's such an enigma.

00:25:31
Speaker 5: She is, and she's there's something electric about watching her. Even if you don't agree with her and you don't like her, whoever is out there.

00:25:37
Speaker 4: I like her and I do agree with her a lot at the time, but she's so electric.

00:25:42
Speaker 5: To watch on TV.

00:25:44
Speaker 1: She's not great.

00:25:45
Speaker 5: Let's just say that she has no wallflower and she's not boring.

00:25:47
Speaker 1: Yeah, I find her to be fascinating. What did What did you think though when you saw Rachel thou meet with dere and Derie is on this campaign alleging that Kyle is trying to army her troops to go against her, and she keeps she keeps saying it and for me, and we'll get into the Beverley Hills trailer for the reunion after we recap this episode, because that comes up again. I just I just don't think Kyle gives a shit about gaining an army. I think Kyle wants everybody to be honest because everybody complains to Kyle it looks like and she's like, I'm the only one keeping it honest, like you all feel that way, like it's not me. And I think the reader is taking that ass. Oh, you're trying to turn people against me, And she's like, no, I'm trying to make sure people are held accountable based on their feelings about you that they tell me and they don't want to tell you. That's what I got from it. But do you think Kyle is trying to gain an army to go against the read?

00:27:00
Speaker 4: No? And I can see where some of the audience would, but I also know how it works to film and that not every scene is shown, and there's things that aren't shown. To get the entire picture, they have to give you a snippet of the picture for the amount of hours of everyone films. So I get all that, But when I sit back and watch it, I go, no, Kyle is not trying to rally troops. It's just Kyle wants people to stand on their own two feet and not sit back and let Kyle be the only one that's on the microphone, like she wants, Okay, if you're going to talk to me about it behind my back, then go tell them too.

00:27:36
Speaker 5: They're mazy, you know.

00:27:37
Speaker 4: And I think that's all Kyle, and it to Kyle what like we It was like episode twelve or thirteen before she finally stood her ground and said, I am not the only one that thinks this to read. Everyone's to thinking about it everyone, and it's not Kyle going to them and bringing it up. There's several times the other women had brought it to Kyle and said I don't like this about this, and then Kyle let them have a conversation about it. That's where I feel Kyle's like, Okay, I'm done with you all having your lips stapled shut, open them up and speak the truth about what you feel. Yes, it's only going to benefit Durit in the end of game, Carlos, You're only going to benefit Durit if everyone does say dereit.

00:28:16
Speaker 5: We kind of I mean, being the yes person.

00:28:18
Speaker 4: It's kind of like when Justin Bieber was going through his hard time in life, having all yes people around you, or the friend that has the lettuce in their teeth. You don't tell them. It's like having yes people all the time. It's not benefiting anyone. Tell me when I'm acting out or I did something wrong, because I know I can fly off to you know, and flap the hand.

00:28:37
Speaker 5: Anyway.

00:28:38
Speaker 1: Do you think this is the question I have for you? Do you think Rachel, Zoe and Bowls are yes people to the read.

00:28:48
Speaker 5: Yes to some extent, I do.

00:28:51
Speaker 4: I do think they're having a little bit of I think it's because they're kind of new, especially Rachel. She's very new, and this Vose has two years now, but that's still kind of new. I think both of them are not looking at it from a entire picture of the fact that Dourite does not have empathy for anyone else in the group and what they're going through. She has not gone and sat down to anyone and said, Sutton, I'm so sorry you're changing your last name.

00:29:17
Speaker 5: I'm so sorry you just dropped your kid at college.

00:29:19
Speaker 4: You know, Erica, Oh my gosh, you're going through the worst legal battle and what your husband did and all of this.

00:29:24
Speaker 5: I'm so sorry for you. Dorit does not.

00:29:25
Speaker 4: Have the capacity, is not doing that for anyone. So I think I think Bosn Rachel should be saying, you know, I love you, Direit, but let me also give you I also need to help you and let you know, like you've got to open your eyes a little bit and listen to the group a little bit. I think that would have benefited Deree so much more. But maybe the women are filming with her and we're not, Carlos, So maybe those two women are like everyone's against Dirriy.

00:29:50
Speaker 5: Somebody here has to be here just to coddle her and hold her.

00:29:54
Speaker 6: What do you think, I think, Rachel though, well, they think about this, so Carlos, they bond over the one thing of where they are right now in their life.

00:30:05
Speaker 5: Rachel, I was going to go there, Oh okay, sorry yeah, no, no, no.

00:30:09
Speaker 1: No, no, no, no, no, So you're just confirming we have the same suspicion. And when I say this, I'm saying this with kindness. Misery loves company. Misery loves company. I don't care how many times Rachel's said she's over Roger, her ex husband, She's not. Last week's episode, when she's talking about Roger posting his girlfriend happy birthday and Rachel's birthdays like two or three days before hers, is like, Rachel, who gives a shit?

00:30:45
Speaker 5: You know what? Can I can I further on that? You are so freaking right.

00:30:48
Speaker 4: And I wish that we would have spoken of that last week, because that was a good thing we should have. The other part to that is when if you're really over your husband ex husband to be, you don't care who he's dating. You don't care if he introduces him to the kids, as long as it's done appropriately, and it's not going to be a revolving door of this girl's six months, this girl, one year.

00:31:10
Speaker 1: This girl.

00:31:11
Speaker 4: It's like, as long as you think it's going to be that person in your life for good, then why not. You don't get so hyped up about it if you're over them, If you're not over them, is when exactly what you're.

00:31:23
Speaker 1: Saying, she's not over him, and listen, I don't.

00:31:26
Speaker 5: Like us for saying that.

00:31:27
Speaker 4: By the way, Rachel, I love you, but I just wonder and I'd love to hear her thoughts on this.

00:31:30
Speaker 5: I would love to see if.

00:31:31
Speaker 1: She let her be honest about it. She listen. I love Rachel too. She's not gonna be honest, and we got to be real here. And when I say this, I'm not trying to be an a hole. When I say this, Rachel is going through a moment in her life rightfully, so headlines rightfully so. So I understand it. I may not agree with it, but logically I understand it. You've been with this man for more than two decades, since you were a kid, and you have two kids with him. I don't expect you to get over it anytime soon. I don't. I don't. What I want people to do, however, is to admit that is to say you know what. Listen, when you and your ex husband Jim were divorcing, I'm pretty sure you weren't like celebrating and like going to the bars. And I'm sure you even if you were, even if you fell out of love with that person. You have to grieve the ending of this relationship.

00:32:45
Speaker 5: It's a death death because that was your life.

00:32:48
Speaker 4: That was your life for fourteen years of my life, someone I thought I was going to be with for the rest of my life. I did not go into that thinking we would divorce or we would end up where we were at all.

00:32:57
Speaker 5: And I fought for that. I fought hard so.

00:33:00
Speaker 4: He I think, whatever capacity we were able to do it, we did.

00:33:03
Speaker 5: But but yeah, you don't.

00:33:05
Speaker 4: It's not but you're also here's the difference between Rachel and I. When I heard he was dating or whatever, I didn't it was. I didn't like that it was in the press, and he put it in the press really fast. I think he pulled pulled the one.

00:33:18
Speaker 5: But anyway, it's like, okay, but I didn't like that. But I did not care because I'm like, he's he's not minded. I don't want him. We're done because you fell.

00:33:27
Speaker 1: Out of love. You fell out of being in love with him.

00:33:30
Speaker 4: He's the father of my children. I care about him and I care about his well being. But I'm not going to sit there and complain that, oh, he's dating someone now, because guess what we were signing on the line, even though this is.

00:33:41
Speaker 5: Part of the dispute Carlos. We've talked about it before.

00:33:43
Speaker 4: If the ink's not dry yet, some people are like, you can't really do that. You're not supposed to date until the ink's dry on the divorce decree.

00:33:49
Speaker 5: I didn't feel that way.

00:33:50
Speaker 4: I felt like once we did the legal separation and we were nesting and we were moving out and we were finding our own homes and doing all that, in my mind, it was that was it. And so I just wish Rachel because she's so fabulous. By the way, did you see the end of her little thing. It says she's she's out on Hollywood's red carpet now with a new guy.

00:34:08
Speaker 5: So she's moved on now since that filming happened.

00:34:11
Speaker 4: Something about she's she's been spotted with a new you know, out open about a new guy.

00:34:17
Speaker 5: So I'm curious to hear about that relationship. We got to see that next season, That's all I'm going to say.

00:34:20
Speaker 1: I would love to see it, and because for me, I can't, I can't. So I think dere and Rachel are bonding over their disdain for their ex husbands. I think they're they're both in a bad place and that's where they're bonding. And I think Bows, listen, I think Bows is very strategic. I think Bows is like, look, I came into this experience bonding with Derey, so I'm gonna stick with my alliance. Garcel Bouvet said how Bows reached out to her to say, let's have a meeting, give me all the tea about the girls, and Garcel said, make up your own opinion, and I'm not giving you anything. Go into the situation from your own relationships. So I think I think Bo sees that, oh well, Rachel and Dereit are cool, So I'm going to make sure that my alliance is with Rachel, and that, to me is what is happening.

00:35:22
Speaker 5: Do you think do you think it could be because the underdog though?

00:35:25
Speaker 4: Do you think it's because do you think at all that Rachel and Bose both are just like durit's kind of the underdog right now because the other there's more of the other women on the other side. Do you think that that's plays any part of it, like let's let's help the underdog a little. You also said you don't like Bo's sophomore season, so you don't like what she's doing.

00:35:43
Speaker 1: But no, I think she's having to a horrible sophomore season because she's playing up to the alliance instead of being present. No, so I think I don't think it has anything to do with Underdog, you know how I feel. I feel like these shows are dominated by an alliance because you need to have your crew. And that's why Durreed is mad at Kyle because she feels like Kyle is trying to gain inform her own alliance and I and and that's what it is. Even at the party, So they're at Kathy Hilton's party and they're all together, and it starts with Kyle trying to explain, like, you know, I didn't show up, but how was Let me tell you something. I you guys can never make me. Hey, Kyle Legend Richards, because you is the is the multiplication of her force. The fact that she sat there and looked at her and said, how is your party? It was excuse me Kyle got the balls to ask like, how is your party? I heard it well and it's like, well, bitch, you just show up. I thought that was I thought she don't how to play this game because she's like I understand I have to ask about this, how was it? I thought that was so funny to be.

00:37:10
Speaker 4: The difference between Kyle and Durito is Kyle sounded authentic when she asked, how was your party? And I really hope, I really do wish you success. I hope your book is amazing. Kyle sounded authentic and it seemed sincere, not like she was just trying to get a good rating or a good for you know, the army around her to like support it.

00:37:29
Speaker 5: She sounded authentic.

00:37:30
Speaker 4: The difference is Dorite's apologies don't sound authentic. She almost sounds like a robot, and she's like, I'm sorry, I've told you I am sorry, and then something's like, well, you know, are you really? It's like that moment that Kyle had was very genuine. It felt it brought me in to go, gosh, Kyle is a good person deep down, like she does want the well for everybody.

00:37:50
Speaker 1: Yeah, I agree with you, but honey, the best part of this finale is the coldest winter ever, and that is Erica Jane. Oh Bye bow to be as unbothered, relentless, stoic, and not giving a fuck. The way Erica Jane sat there and the verbal exchange between her and Deiy when you know, Derei's like, well, you're trying to get my attention, and Erica's like I did and it worked. Excuse me, but she still faced.

00:38:39
Speaker 5: She was like the ice princess she is like I did and it worked. And Andrey, it's like, well, and you didn't call, you didn't call her text? No, I didn't. I didn't feel it was right. I did not know. And Erica never raised your voice and started to get heightened.

00:38:51
Speaker 4: And it's like Erica's just sitting back the whole time, like she's almost like rolling her eyes inside. She doesn't roll her eyes to us on camera, but you can see, you know, her rolling her eyes the whole time, just like I'm so over you right now, Dariy, like you, I'm so over all of this.

00:39:06
Speaker 1: And it was genius. It was genius. The way to have I have never in my years of watching housewives seen a verbal spat go down the way it did without yelling and screaming. Involved the fact that every every question or common dery had Erica clap back with owning it. I don't care. I did, That's what I did. I didn't want to go. I don't care how it went. You're here, should go. This ain't a guilty bunch over here. I don't feel guilty at all. I don't. And that's when I realized, like, you have ruined your friendship with Erica. The moment Erica's one of these women, the moment she doesn't care a baby, watch child, You're gonna have to earn her to care again. And I think that's gonna be years in the making. I think Erica like, I see what you're doing. I don't give a fuck. Go over there and do what you have to do. And I applaud Erica for a handing der back her ass a kiss.

00:40:14
Speaker 6: I love it.

00:40:16
Speaker 1: I loved it. It was so good.

00:40:18
Speaker 4: Well it was, and I could not agree more. I actually rewound it and watched it the second time.

00:40:25
Speaker 1: I'm so proud.

00:40:29
Speaker 5: I was like, did she really like? I was looking for.

00:40:31
Speaker 4: One moment of being, of seeing a feather like kind of ruffle with Erica, and there was none.

00:40:38
Speaker 5: She was done.

00:40:39
Speaker 4: And in my mind I still thought at that moment until you brought point B to the two wey, I just thought, it's because you compared me to a two year friendship.

00:40:48
Speaker 5: You could marry nine.

00:40:49
Speaker 4: Compare nine years of me being there through the thick and thin to a two year friendship.

00:40:54
Speaker 5: So no, I'm so I'm done.

00:40:56
Speaker 1: Even when she was like, you're trying to like win ten years, I'm appreciate.

00:41:03
Speaker 3: It was nine.

00:41:04
Speaker 5: It's nine. Actually actually she said it like this little carlor. She goes, it's nine. Okay, but can I get I want to give I want to give props where one other prop was due.

00:41:17
Speaker 4: Though Dury did have a good a good line at the very end.

00:41:20
Speaker 5: They ended it on it when she.

00:41:22
Speaker 4: Goes, nice bow, and setting goes, okay, thank you. But then but then who was sitting down Kathy? Kathy goes, yeah, it was kind of oh, Bo goes it was kind of a nice bow, and dur goes I was kidding.

00:41:33
Speaker 5: I'm like, yeah, okay, Dre, that was a good deal.

00:41:36
Speaker 1: If it cuts to the it cuts them the big ass ball sunds back, which the boby way. I like the bowl, but I for.

00:41:44
Speaker 5: The occasion, I liked the bow.

00:41:45
Speaker 4: I thought, Okay, I mean you could do were that anything bridal or anything to a summer garden party.

00:41:50
Speaker 5: I mean, it's the season finale.

00:41:52
Speaker 4: You need to look fabulous and something grand you know, a grand bow.

00:41:57
Speaker 1: But anyway, okay, how did you feel and you saw the spat between Sutton and Dere because I felt like Dere was like I completely lost the battle with Eronka. I'm going to win this one, and she let it have it, I thought, because Sudden gave her what she wanted.

00:42:23
Speaker 4: See, And I look at it as Durret lost that because I look at it like Diurit lost it because I guess I'm looking at Duret's empathy and her saying I'm sorry, and how she's just so checked out and not caring about anyone else. I looked at it like Durit did not look good coming out of that. But I can see where you're I can see your view also, like that's why the TV shows so good.

00:42:43
Speaker 5: Yeah, I can see your view.

00:42:45
Speaker 4: I just felt like that was Duret's one moment for Sutton to be sitting there saying, but you hurt me. Now I've given you time to think about it. Does it not register with you that you hurt my feelings? And Durit's just like, well, I'm sorry, I said I was sorry. It's like it did not feel genuine. That's what I'm saying, like, I feel like she's just so checked out, So do you Okay, go ahead and answer on that.

00:43:06
Speaker 5: Then I want to ask you something else.

00:43:08
Speaker 1: Yeah, no, no, no, no, I I I definitely thought the regions felt like I have to give something, And this is when I'm going to go into the reunion trailer. That really exposed a lot of how the women felt. But ask your question.

00:43:22
Speaker 4: First, Well, no, because that'll that'll it's kind of it's about where do they go from here? So it'll be perfect after the reunion thing because it's it's about it's directed toward dureep.

00:43:30
Speaker 5: But go ahead, let's so they're having it looks amazing.

00:43:35
Speaker 1: It looks like a good okay, three parts though debatable.

00:43:39
Speaker 5: Oh you think maybe they could have got it in two?

00:43:41
Speaker 1: I think one, But that's my.

00:43:45
Speaker 5: I don't agree.

00:43:46
Speaker 1: Alexis you you of all people, you know, especially to you. You were a part of it for so many years, and I was a part as a producer. We know that they stretch. So the highlights we saw on the trailer were great, but we know they stretch it to be like, are all those highlights in part three? And then part one of two is gonna be a snooze. I just don't think this season gave any worthy of three parts. However, we're gonna recap all three now. With that being said, one thing that was evident is they're breaking the fourth wall in this reunion. And when Kyle was telling Derey this is and rain Draws were talking about the Beverly Hills reunion trailer, these three parts, and it opens up with Kyle in her dressing room before she gets dressed, telling Erica pretty much that Dery is playing up this character. She got so much commentary about smoking last season that now every chance she gets, she's throwing out the sea words. She's smoking and she's not being real. And then you have Duriy say something that gagged me because you and I talked about this. Duri revealed that she feels like Kyle Richards has the power to get people off the show, like the fuckbody this.

00:45:11
Speaker 5: Just so you know, no cast member has that power, no, no one.

00:45:14
Speaker 1: That's one one.

00:45:16
Speaker 4: This is a Bravo executive decision, and they have the stats to understand who needs to come and who needs to go, And that's our two cents, and we don't know that for sure, Carlos.

00:45:26
Speaker 5: But that's what I can.

00:45:27
Speaker 1: Tell you for a fact as a producer working with Niini, Lisa and Teresa Judai is there's now one housewife and the.

00:45:35
Speaker 5: Bigger how loud, no matter how loud or you.

00:45:38
Speaker 1: Jeffy, Nini, Teresa Vicki. I mean the list goes Giselle, Brian, Alexia, like the list goes on, and all these women, Lisa Barlow, these women do not have the power to get you off the show. Now. What they can do, if this has nothing to do with Bravo, what they can do is ice you out of the group to where if people feel like they can't they don't want to film it you anymore. They can do that, but they don't have the power to say, knock knock, I don't want this person to show anymore. Okay, girl, we'll listen.

00:46:10
Speaker 4: Oh, it's actually kind of it's kind of a known laughing joke if you if you knock on Bravo's door, and so I'm not filming with them.

00:46:17
Speaker 5: If you hire them.

00:46:18
Speaker 4: Back, guess who's going you not them. So it's kind of a note. It's kind of a laughing joke behind the scenes of everything. But okay, so back to my question for you was going to be where do they go from here? Because Durit is such a good character. But you're right, the women need a cool down. So do they try to bring this group back or do they completely revamp and only.

00:46:47
Speaker 5: Keep one or two?

00:46:48
Speaker 4: I mean, because there's so many the characters are so fascinating, Carlos, I don't want fascinating.

00:46:53
Speaker 5: I don't want.

00:46:54
Speaker 4: I don't want it to be the end of this cast. But I don't know where they go. They need a cooling off to years.

00:47:00
Speaker 1: Like you said, this is very difficult because to your point, Kyle is not going anywhere unless she wants to. So we're not going to entertain them getting rid of Kyle. That's never happening, is never happening. So that's that's that. But do you agree with that the Kyle's not going They will never get rid of Kyle. No, she's not going, not unless you want to.

00:47:26
Speaker 4: That's my point is it's almost got to be and that's why I was asking you, and I really want your expertise of that. That's my point is that they have to keep a few of them because they're just so iconic, But yet they can't keep the full cast, can they or do they sit down with the girls and go, look, the show's not going to.

00:47:44
Speaker 5: Make it, don't.

00:47:45
Speaker 1: I don't know.

00:47:45
Speaker 5: It's just like I'm so I'm.

00:47:46
Speaker 4: So baffled, and I'm really so disappointed in the reunion in the finale because I wanted them to kind of put, like I said, a little bit of a band aid on it, just so that we can see where there would be resolution for next season. So the reunion is going to be epic for me. But I don't know.

00:48:00
Speaker 5: I just don't. I don't understand where they can possibly go.

00:48:06
Speaker 1: I'm with you, it's difficult because because Kyle's not going anywhere, Eric is.

00:48:13
Speaker 5: Not going anywhere because they're like busties.

00:48:15
Speaker 4: So then Eric is not going So then what and then now that's where that's where Dere's on the outside because there.

00:48:22
Speaker 1: The challenge is this and I do mean this. All of us were over Kyle versus Derey like we were to Resa Melissa. It took two years of being on pause for us to get this, to give them Melissa and Teresa back together, which is great. They're not going to put Beverly Hills on palls for two years is too much of a moneymaker for the network as much as dere brings to the show. It is plausible that Dereeted may be on the chopping block because there is no growth. But with that being said, she's the only one giving conflict, so you removed to read you have no conflict. And that's why it's hard to say what I do thing is going to happen. Honestly, I think Kyle and Deury are both coming back. I think the producers would have a talking to with them saying we can't have another season of this and if you guys aren't going to be best friends again, that's fine, but we don't want to. We can't reignite the same issue and there's going to have to be something else. So with that being said, other shows have done this, and the examples that I would give so that my audience can be informed is Tamara and Shannon as an example. We're over Tamor versus Shannon, and I think the producer had to talk to Tamara saying let off on Shannon this season, which is why last season you saw their attempts of cordial But we also knew that was because they had to coexist in the same place, and I think that's what's gonna happen with Kyle and Derie. And I also think you have to bring on it. You have to bring on a strong new housewife. You have to well and it ain't Natalie Honey.

00:50:22
Speaker 5: Well, okay, we know how you feel about Natalie.

00:50:25
Speaker 4: That's where I think that Rachel Zoe is who they brought in that's a strong player and strong in that way.

00:50:30
Speaker 1: And avoids conflict.

00:50:33
Speaker 4: Well, she avoids conflict, but she's so bright on the screen that it's like she always has such good lines that that could be.

00:50:42
Speaker 5: Her her way, her avenue of what keeps her on the show. But you know, I think you might be right.

00:50:49
Speaker 4: I think they're going to have to just have a talking to you and say, Kyle and Duri, y'all don't need to be friends, but you need to just kumbaya enough to get through filming and don't rehash.

00:50:58
Speaker 5: Do not rehash the same fight. It's the next season.

00:51:02
Speaker 4: We're moving on. There's got to be new conflicts. And I do agree with you that that might happen.

00:51:07
Speaker 5: Yeah, they don't.

00:51:08
Speaker 4: I hope they don't let Daurit go because I although I am over the fight between dur and Kyle, but I hope they don't let her go.

00:51:15
Speaker 1: They won't because the focus would be Erica versus Dery, and that will be the focus next season. And we're also going to see something as well. But listen, I think everybody's coming back, but I definitely think they need some new blood.

00:51:32
Speaker 4: We'll have more to say after the reunions, though. I can't wait for the three reasons.

00:51:36
Speaker 1: Yeah, and I will say this, I love Amanda and Amanda's breath of fresh air. Amanda sort of fell to the wayside these last couple of episodes. The focus hasn't been on her, and my advice to Amanda off you're listening, Amanda has to Amanda has to insert herself more, like you can't like when you saw Kyle and Amanda eating ice cream whatever we're eating, why do you go at it? Like my advice to Amanda, who I love, Amanda has to insert herself in more and allow herself to be seen because these past couple of episodes, if I'm being honest, you forgot about Amanda.

00:52:17
Speaker 4: Yeah, but you know what, I have a different take on that. I agree with you on the gelato thing. When she's sitting there eating the gelato with Kyler ice cream. She should have said something witty it right at that moment, because that's what people are looking for, and that's how she could have inserted herself. However, I felt like Amanda needed the break. I was so thankful that she finally was under the radar a little because, you know what, I didn't like how they picked on her, you know you and I came in this feeling one way about Amanda and leaving feeling another way.

00:52:43
Speaker 5: I like Amanda. I think she's amazing for the show.

00:52:46
Speaker 4: I think she's an amazing human, and I think her core is a good human.

00:52:50
Speaker 5: And I thought it was good that she had a couple episodes off. Like I was just I was.

00:52:55
Speaker 4: Feeling like she was through the ringer and she held her composure and did it with such classic dignity the whole time.

00:53:01
Speaker 5: And it's like, Okay, she's been hazed enough. Girls.

00:53:04
Speaker 4: You didn't Rachel Zoe at all. I'm glad that she was at the wayside for the last two or three episodes. But you're right, I mean, you do have to insert yourself and make your character there.

00:53:13
Speaker 5: But look at Kathy Hilton. She doesn't get involved and She's still iconic and needs to be there.

00:53:18
Speaker 1: She's a friend, though she's not a housewife.

00:53:20
Speaker 5: Honey, oh she is.

00:53:23
Speaker 1: You gotta give me housewife, your housewife, bring it. And my thing is this, in the words of Tamra Judge, our friend, you're only as good as your last episode.

00:53:39
Speaker 5: Oh well that's true.

00:53:43
Speaker 1: Okay, so but but but to your point, we'll see what happens in this three part reunion that is the termine everything.

00:53:53
Speaker 4: I'm excited to see if you're gonna be like, Okay, I was wrong, they brought it, or if you're gonna be like, and I'm gonna say you were.

00:53:59
Speaker 5: So right, Carla, because I'm so I'm curious to see it.

00:54:04
Speaker 1: I know, I'm just like, as I watched the trail, I'm like, all the good shit. I'm pretty sure it's in part three, but we'll see. But again, this show is a money maker for the network. The advertisers love this show because the women who watch think about it. The women who watch it are Julia Roberts, Jennifer Lawrence, Sarah, Michelle Gella like, and that's just the celebrities. A lot of wealthy women watch this show. So for an advertiser, you know that when you are, you know, showing commercials, the plausibility of these women buying your products is high. So yes, three parts is gonna stretch it.

00:54:45
Speaker 4: Okay, well we'll see, but I agree, and it has Beverly Hills has something that none of the other franchises have, So it's it's yeah, it can't go it can't go anywhere.

00:54:54
Speaker 1: Yeah, So rain jobs, Alexis, and I know your thoughts on this season. Five Nally okay, and we are back for three consecutive weeks recapping the reunion. Alexis, are you ready for this?

00:55:08
Speaker 5: I'm so ready. I am, And I think I'm different than you.

00:55:12
Speaker 4: See, I agree like you said seven, five, I said eleven. I think the runs are all three gonna be good. You think that they're going to be stretching it. So here we are back to a little bit of a debate.

00:55:22
Speaker 1: We'll see, we'll see. All right. Well, we have a good week at my Love and I will see you next week. Love you guys, Love you Hi.
