00:00:00 Speaker 1: The truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth. You're listening to Big Facts with Big Bank and DJ Scream broadcasts a lot from first Class Sounds is DJ Scream, Big Bank is here and we got a special guests up in the building. Russ is on Big Facts. Welcome to Big Facts, man, Welcome to Big Facts. So we gotta started the right way in a big fast tradition. Man, if you don't mind, Man, you gotta swear to tell the whole truth, nothing but the truth. Is that cool with Russles? Okay, you're gonna do that. We're just making sure. Yeah, we gotta hold into trouble. Yeah yeah, yeah, no Rusby keeping it all the way. You know what I'm saying. So the first thing I want to talk about, man, is oh, you so self contained. You You're there the artist, the engineer, the producer. You do everything yourself. What was the moment where you said, I'm taking this all in my own hands. I'm not calling producers for beasts, I'm not calling the engineer. I'm gonna do all this ship myself. I didn't know anyone, You didn't know anybody. A lot of people think it was just like it's funny having fans and stuff. They're like, yo, do the song with Drake? Where's the song with Jake? It's like, I don't know that. What are you talking like? People just think that like when you get on you have some sort of like thing at your house where you press a button in like a Drake verse pops out, Like I don't know if people you know what I'm saying. Like, so when I was coming up, I didn't know anyone, so I had to do everything myself. Like it wasn't It wasn't so as fuck you of energy as people might think it was. It was really like I don't I genuinely don't know anyone. So I got to figure out how to do this myself. I figured out how to do it myself. I ended up falling in love with each role, mixing, engineering, the whole thing, and I like the fact that it really sounded like me, the engineering that like, you know, when you really do everything in that music yourself, it hits different, like when people that first album, when when it went platinum and I got what I wanted out of it and people loved it. It's like, you know, a lot of rappers might be like, man, you like my verse. That's cool. I'm man, you like the reverb that I have on vocals, you know what I'm saying. Like, it's just it's just different, you know. But so I used that first album number one to prove it to myself that I could really sit in my basement make a whole album myself, not call anyone, and it's and it's make everything by me, and it still go platinum and have all these crazy numbers. But at the same time, it's also because I didn't know anyone. So as I got into the industry, you know, I got to know people and get connections, but I was never, I mean, anyone that knows me. And I think it's starting to like be a little bit more evident now. I'm a big fan of people, and I don't do that privately. I do that publicly. I still love on Twitter or whatever. I've always been adamant about showing my support for Scott Storcher's and Boy Wonders and Timberlands and all these all these people whatever. I just didn't know them. So once I knew them, obviously I'm gonna make a bunch of songs with them. So that's how you get to shake the snow globe where you know. I got songs with board Wonder, I got songs with ill Mind. But it's just a matter of like, if you don't know people, what are you supposed to do? I wasn't gonna go knock. I don't like knocking on doors like that, you know what I'm saying. I like the playing field to be a little bit more level where you know, it's just a respect that, you know. So I wanted to prove myself improve to everyone, like no, I'm nice, Like, don't get a twisted Like I could lose my contact list tomorrow, I could put out apply in the now? Do you do you struggle a little bit with people trying to like box you in the genres because some people you're popped. Some people I'm okay. I'm okay with that, But what do you feel you are? You know what? I feel like it depends on the song. And I feel like I feel like too many, too many people and consumers they want to try and boxing an artist's whole catalog into one genre. How are you gonna do that? It's like it's crazy. It's like if I'm a painter and I go paint this style on Monday. But I paint this style Tuesday, and then you you know, you extrapolate that over ten years, you're gonna try and put me into one category. That's crazy to me. It depends on the song, depends on the day. But I feel like that's a real artist, you know, I think to me, in my opinion, like an artist is just the purest expression of a human. And you know, some days I feel like making a love song. Some days I feel like wrapping my ass off. Some days I feel like turned up and something that can play at crucial, you know what I'm saying. But it's like, why to me, you can't try and marginalize me to one specific genre because no one feels hard all day long. And it's you know what I'm saying, Like, no one feels in love all day long. But you know it's what it like. I'm cool, I'm cool with it all. So basically saying, you're just getting the people you have it when you were in front of the mike, how you feel that is, That's what it is. Yeah, if you know what, if I got a girl over and I'm in that mode, that I'm in that mode. But like as of late the past couple of days, I'm like, no one hit me up about any melodies. I'm trying to wrap my ass off, so that's what I'm want. So I'm putting together like a real special It's the first time I talking about it because it's just happened like two days ago. But I'm putting together the real special thing. It's just like it's all bars. There's no melodies, just because like, I also love that, but I just I think what it takes is is a combination of time and and quality of products. As far as you know, when I put out, people know me for doing melodies and hits or whatever. And that's great because I love all that, and I know that it's just gonna take and even though I've done a bunch of wrap stuff, all my rap stuff is like prevalent on every album, But I know it's gonna take me really doubling down on that to show people like, now I really do this too, and don't take time. And it's it's okay, I'm here for the It's a marathon, you know. Being able to do you know, like you said, you produce makes you know what I'm saying. They can reduce and did music, singing, rapping on your ship, being able to do that ship yourself. What was some of the challenges like you went through as trying to get signed and get ship out and all that, the challenges were really see, I was never I was never trying to get signed. The challenges were sound like ship that was a challenge of being like, man, you could think you should have so hard, but then you play you maybe go to play like a professional person ship. I'm talking about when I'm like eighteen nineteen and you're in there making your own ship, makes your own ship, and you're thinking it's super hard, but then something comes out like from a Drake or j Cole, whoever it is that you look up to, Like, man, this sounds like a little bit different, you know, and like yeah, like and my confidence wasn't it's so crazy that I would still just be like, how my ship is just as hard because you gotta like you gotta feel like that. But I think, you know, that was the challenge of trying to fight through, ah, my process of getting better, and I always looking at it like a video game, like you know, when you get you know those like two K or if it's madded and you do the creative player mode, the career mode. I always tell people like this ship is a career mode where you start out as a sixty overall. The trick to getting to a ninety overall is at sixty overall thinking you're a ninety, you know what. I like that, that's it. So like, if you are a sixty and you think your ceiling is a sixty, you'll always be a six. So that's the challenge, the mental self reflection mirror. Pep talks like, now I'm a fucking ninety nine, you know, And that's the process. So you think a lot of people miss construe who you are because you know me and you you're cool. But the world was always before arrogant interviews though too so okay, I forgive people, like my message was always sure, but a lot of times my house is like super okay, Like I've always been a fucking like asshole. That's why I even had the if you was able to do everything yourself, man, you're able to be arrogant. Bro. That's a lot of people came out the bullshit and did this ship myself? Yeah, when else I was supposed to be him real ship though, for real one of my songs, too Many, which is gold. The night I made it, I set up the camera on a tripod your studio, and I recorded the video myself and edited myself, and its gold. Now that video has like eighty million views or something. It's like, yeah, Like I was definitely and still do talk to my ship and Pop my ship and everything, but at the same time, I see that there might be a better way to communicate. And so I'm grown enough and self aware enough to understand that, and and also secure enough in my spot in the space of the game. You know. I think when when you're trying to get on, you're fighting to get on, and then even when you do get on, it's so new and so fragile that you, you know, you're a little bit like you're still fighting. It's a fucking survival thing, you know. But now it's been a couple of years and I don't know, I'm just settling more into this ship and it's kind of just like we, I mean, it's so solidified at this point. Even if you don't funk with it, if you don't know, like I hate to break it to you, you don't matter in the grand scheme my life and career. I promise your opinion doesn't move. It doesn't move a needle like motherfucker's hate on me, as if it matters. It's crazy. It's like, yo, you say that, as if the next night I'm not doing the sold out showing in the arena. What are you talking about. I'm gonna miss you in the crowd at all. I'm not looking for you in the crowd. Loads are in. It's too late, doesn't matter. So just whatever, big facts, How do you do how you deal with like real love versus fake love? Because obviously now that you know, you came and you did it on your own. Now everybody pretends to love you or comes up and says, I don't let me Like everyone in this room, I've known for a decade, so I don't. I just I never had that cliche like people switching up on me? Did it? I never did, just because I never I'm such a you know, very private person when it comes to my personal life, you know, so I don't let people close. So I never had those problems of like, man, you switched up for me, It wasn't. My circle is not some fucking big open party where anyone's invited you feel me like you were either here ten years ago you're not. So now listen this moment, we're getting the facts, this moment that happened recently. I'm just completely confused. So this helped me out, Like what what is the dog of cash situation about? She already said she wanted to bone you, but then she said some other crazy stuff like I'm just trying to what is it even I don't even know where it came from. I was, I was in that I live with you know two just the recipe was just commented. I don't think she was drinking a lot. That's what she said. Yeah, I've never met her. You never met her, but no, but like we've talked before, she's really dope and super talented and I have a lot of respect for and I don't want any I don't know. I I genuinely like I felt bad when that ship went viral um and I texted her and was like, yo, like the Twitter ship is O d Like, don't even trip about it. Keeping you just because I've been on that end to what happened though, she just kind of was on live, just carrying on. She was carrying on. She was just on I g Live faded just talking you know about you know, women empowerment, which is great, and then like I made a comment of just like drunk lives are the only lives to do, and then like for the next thirty minutes it was all about like roasting me, but then also like flirting or whatever. But um, but they were trying to say she was like on coke, which I don't know, you know what I'm saying, that's not even that's not even my business, but that's what they just figure out. What the mother Yeah, yeah, but it's like, but that's like this, I felt so bad for her. I felt bad for her because it's like I've been on the receiving end of where it's like just complete misconstrued, misunderstanding type of ship and people are running with a narrative and now it's too late. You know, it doesn't matter what you say, we think you do this, like it doesn't matter what I say about certain ship. People think this it's too late. And yeah, so I felt I felt bad. And it's like, you know, that's why I'm not even trying to like I'm about to sit here and be like yeah, man, I'm about slotting. It's like I mean, it's like, if that's the energy at the time, then cool. But if if if that's not what it is, and that's not what it is. But I'm not I'm not ever really pressed for pussy. You feel like, yeah, that's never really like a so you ain't follow up like what you now because I've been I've been talked to her before. That's what she said. Whatever they say she said, No, I wasn't like yo. So actually I think that now. We were both drunk, so I think I might have been like, yo'll get you to right, but like it was really for real to make it was to make music. Like I think she's dumb talented and like before that she can she can attest to it. I've been trying to make songs with her. I talked about her, you know, Mama. I sampled her on a song that's not out yet that I sent her, Like, so send me a sample and be like, yo, can you flip this into a beat? Like We've been had a working relationship and a professional relationship for a couple of years, so I've been trying to make a song into regards to that. Right after that, I live, I was like, no, like we should make a song like funk all that, like whatever, right, the talent should combine and create something. So I things you really dope, But I think, yeah, I felt bad that she was getting when you made Best on Earth, Bro, Like you could have got your rust now, so you can have got any female in the game. Why did you choose be It to be on Best on Earth? Why was she the perfect it? Yeah, It's like there's certain people that their tone, their voice, it's really the voice another one to me. I'll stay on Being for a second because she deserves that. But be his tone is just crazy and Being can actually wrap so I respect people can wrap in their tone, isn't so I was just like, nah, pull up the studio. I had another beat in mind. I didn't. I didn't call it to the studio to do Best on Earth. I called it to the studio to do the song. This beat that I made that already has like the hook on it. It's like a club smiles that I've sent to like mad female rappers, but like no one's biting. I'm like, damn, maybe I'll just do it and go fucking platting and tell everybody what the funk were y'all doing, but not anyway. That was just like a plan C in the studio, like the first time we ever met. You know, I'm playing their beats and we're cool. We're just talking whatever, whatever, and then nothing's really like resonating something, all right, and then we pull up that'd be and we do best on Earth and then we go home and we forget about it for nine months. I was a throwaway song, bro that was But so it was really like her tone, and she could wrap another one who I just said a song to that because of their tone and everything is mulatto. Her tone. It's like her tone. People on the mic, they have a certain either have it or you don't. You know what I'm saying, Like you can't finesse. You can finesse a voice. I guess a tone. But some people are just that's just how they sound. This is who they are. A lot of people like that, even those are cat Those guys just has a tone. And I think that's a musical thing to recognize, Like now your tone will fit into this pocket. But that comes from a production standpoint to like, because I make music and not just a sample. I play music. You feel me, not not like crazy you well or anything, But I play enough to make something. I can recognize tones and pockets and ship like that. You know. So uh yeah, man, I was. I was a music decision. And that's why I think it's real. It is because a lot of people maybe didn't know who be A Was was, but the music won you over. That's how it should be. So like being being that. You know what I'm saying, You ain't for my race or whatever. Niggas. A lot of niggas try you on this ship. Huh, You're a lot of nigga trying. Absolutely, But like when you said that was amazing, I've been saying I was thinking somebody have been whipping your folks that when they're like, who did did you? You know? Got swow in? Man, you plead the field. Here's what I'm gonna say about that is this when I see I tried to say it the best way possible. Now Here's the craziest thing to me is like, I just think if you talk about a stranger that you never met and the result is you getting beat up, what is the confusion? Nothing down? Like, I don't care how it goes down. If you talk shit about a stranger that you've never met and it ends up with your as getting beat I was like, what is the confusion on this? I don't get it, Like you who doesn't know this person? Talk shit you end up getting beat up? What are you shocked about? Right? But no, the real, the real shit about that? Yeah, I don't get it. And everyone wants to Like basically everyone wants to do this. Oh yeah, but you didn't. You didn't run my one on one. It's like we're whipping your ass man whatever it is, like, you got beat up, bro, shut up, shut up? You talk shit and got punching him out. Shut up, shut up? And I bet you you would think twice before talking again, or if you do, at least you absolutely know what the what the end result is, you feel me? So if you talk shit, now you know that you made your best So Lane, And if you're comfortable with laning in your bed you like the pillows in the blanket structure, then it is what it is. And then he picks up the wine. I love for us. That's the most professional, bro. We're gonna beat your a about playing with us. I ever heard. That's it. If you played with somebody, you got your ass What is you confused about it? That's real ship though. Really I never heard of somebody talking about somebody getting beat up because of it and then acting confused like I don't know where this came from. Really, you don't know how this happened. You don't know what step right, You don't know like step one you talk shit, step two youn't hit steps? Words coming to you ever read? Though? I mean I get them like a thousand times a day. I'm like numb too comments Now I'm just saying, like, you know, like some of this ship, I'll be saying something like Brian still coming some of the should I read, I'd be want to try to go on to the page. I don't like when people would try me on like my integrity and when they when I feel like the assassinating might come up in my work, whether they like you're an industry plant, your dad worked at Columbia type of it's like, what are you talking about? That is it's it's absolutely made up. It's just like being like I'm six eight, that's just much of a live It's just like you just made the ship up and people wrong with it. Because what I learned is that when you have real hater energy. You're going to find anything, even if it's a lie to justify your hate. You know what I'm saying, like I don't if I don't like you, I don't even know why I like you. I'm waiting for someone to tell me a lie, a big fact, big facts say this is one of my sermons that you just preached. Nia is gonna do whatever they can do whatever, like like to not seem like they're a lot. They're lying like whatever to make you believe me. I'm gonna see it. That's the worst kind of person in the world. If I tell you some ship you just don't believe it, then fuck it. I'm not going going to a stranger who hates you so much that they'll run with the lie and justify their hate of a false narrative. It's a fucking pasang. That's not even in that about that dude that suck as ship. She's a peasant man. You don't just make up no ship on no nigga man just because you know you Hey, you don't even know no facts like you just donna say anything. Maybe grown ask people with go teasing mortgages. It's shocking. Don't you have a bigger problem. Your wife is leaving you life. It's fun can do. There's a way you at home, somebody else's feeding your kids crazy. You're worried about a lie on another stranger. I don't get it. And then you wonder why you're like furious. Who is Who's rust's goat? Who's your goat? Everybody always talks about the goat they on nearly the rapper, But who's your goal? Who's that guy? Nipsey is the first thing that comes to my mom. I like that because Nipsey not only was was in my top was and is in my top five rappers of all time, but mindset of all time, Nipsey's up there with like number one. Yeah. I just think the marathon is the illest shit ever, you know. I just think it's And I've been with us as I was seventeen, you know, Like I would be a liar to uh two have my success and not attribute Nipsey's mindset to it at all. That's hard. Yeah, Nick, Like, you know, there's people who rap better than Nipsey or whatever, But I don't know, man, I just that's just one. I just think that leaving behind the mentality is the relationship you can do in life. Songs will get old, the way you dress will get old. You know, styles change whatever, but mindsets never changed. Why when you read those self help books and deepak Choppers and ship like that, it's ship that you can apply now And it's like Nipsey's mentality. You can just apply it now and you'll forever be able to apply it, Like is the longest race, so don't. I mean, I don't know a rapper who's come along that has left behind that much of an impact with the mentality people with the music for sure, for sure, but a mentality something something for people to live by mentally or come on, I don't know. That's real, A real blueprint another real ship. That's that's that's that's It's like our bobbum you know what I'm saying, real ship like this ship start right here home with doing everything he's supposed to did Black for us, chose a queen, chose you know what I'm saying, chose it pal and stood on that ship like yeah, he was just solid. He was just solid. And it's like you know that inspired. I've been inspired by Nipsey since seventeen. I mean, we went me and my best friend Bugis who we started Diamond Tailor when we were seventeen. We went to his store when we were when was that eighteen or nineteen seventeen eighteen? We go to this store and uh that that story is ridiculous. It's because of what we were aware. We were like, you know, we got to take this office because like I had on because you know, initially had just dropped the marathon, right, so I'll never forget this. This is just a funny story. But Nipsey, Yeah, this is because Nipsey dropped the marathon December twenty times. So we're there like February March, and I have on like she you know, blue Laces was like my favorite song, h part one, part one, So like I like, you know, it's my first time in l A. And I'm just like geek to be in l A. I forget where we're going, and I got on black forces with red laces, and I'm like, I don't know if I should go in there with red laces. I don't know if that's necessarily the best because I'm not me at all yet. I'm just a randomized white dude. I see, you know, in your story. I remember taking out the laces just tugged up, you know what I mean, But it was it was amazing lass because yo, how is one of my favorite songs gotta be blue laces. I'm walking in with red laces, like I'm at least exercise something sort of self awareness song some type like even if I look crazy with no laces and at least I didn't disrespect the disrespected myself. But but I've just been living by that marathon code, uh since since seventeen and and that's what inspired me to write the self help book that I did is on your head because you know, and I recorded the audio book for it too, which to me is I just think the book that I wrote in the audiobook I did is the most important thing I still have yet to do. Ever, it's more point than any song I've done, any album, because at the end of the day, I was attributed to Nipsey. If Nipsey right now had an hour and a half long, two hour long vocal recording of his belief system, it's the bigges ship in the world. And so the fact that I was able to, you know what, man, let me do it now and record my hour and a half, however long it is belief system on a microphone. I mean, I've already transcended my body when I'm dead. That's on loop. You feel me so and it impacts the mentality. So I feel like I've already done my part. You're saying, you're saying, you're saying you you recorded yours already. Yeah, it's already. Yeah. I put out the book. I put out the audio book the whole ship, and so like, to me, that's so much more point than the music, because songs wise, you might be like I don't like to be right, maybe like I don't like the sound of your singing voice. I don't like the bars. Cool, absolutely understandable. But when it comes down to the game and the knowledge and whatever, here's a book and here's an audio book. Whether I'm telling you where there's no music behind it, there's no beach. It's just me giving you my belief system. Now. But that's the really shot, like, because you can never got them that ship here for your grandkids whoever, That's what I'm saying. Whoever, three hundred years from now, you could play what I thought about ship. Yeah, you know what I'm saying not not music, not trying to rhyme. You could play what I just thought about Ship for two hours. I just think that's the most important that that That's what I'll be telling We got dropped in the gyms, you know what I'm saying, not even just trying, just like I know it ain't always right, but I'm gonna give the niggas my side on how I think of Ship. All you do Internet called big Facts, and you're do an audiobook. It's a it's a hundred fifty pages and it's a belief system of what you think are big facts, and it's out of here, and it's a it's a code. It's a it's a code that's hard. But it's like that way, like you end up talking less you feel me because it's like, if you don't know how I feel about this situation, read it or listen to it is out. Yeah, you gotta say you know how I feel. I'll rip out exactly already told to you, right, you know what I'm about? Yeah? Yeah, how do you think they put out a list of everybody all the rappers we lost like in the last ten years, and a lot of fans were just saying that, uh, you know, we're painting, and I'm saying that we're in pain because so many people have passed away and so forth. How do you think fans should heal from losing so many artists that they love and respect. I think they should. Um. I think the way to heal is self reflection, to be honest, and I think that they should self reflection, self reflection, and gratitude. I think gratitude is I was just having a conversation with my mom the other day and she was saying how gratitude is more powerful than love because love can be manipulate, it changes, so gratitude gratitude, you know. Yeah, like if you're grateful for someone, you're grateful for your life and that's just is what it is. But you could love someone because of what they do for you. It can be conditional. Gratitude, by context, is not conditional. Gratitude is unconditional. I think being grateful for your life and and being self aware enough to be like, you know what, maybe this this type of lifestyle isn't the way because I just keep dying in and I just think, you know, it just comes down to self awareness will save you years on your life. I think I think a lot of people are just running around like you're chicken with the head cut off and just running crazy and living crazy and living faster and then it just gets fucking stopped short in the side. But you know, it's crazy with my generation, the younger generation is going through losing all these artists, like I don't know what time it was, like this crazy. It's a lot. I mean, we're painting over pocketing big in that day, but it's way more than that. We're doing this in February, right, it's February we lost Pop Smoke. January we lost Kobe, December we lost It's like that's almost every month. That's that's crazy. That's crazy. That's crazy, and it's it's like, I don't know, it's I hope it makes everyone just appreciate every second one. But it's hard when it's not at your doorstep. It's hard because it hits you. You see it on Twitter, and then you move on about your life. You feel funked up about it for a day too, and you move on about your life and it's sucked up. But this ship really just getting really people really don't even feeling funked up, no moment and ship really just like nomb to this ship up just godam, it's goddamn and keeps growing. Damn you've heard about it, keep going. I'm just don't give a funk about nothing. One or two days after that, man, this ship Oh well, you know why? It's because I think number one, because people don't know that obviously that it's not your doorstep. Yeah exactly. But also it's like, I don't know, maybe because I'm such a huge fan of Nipsey, but I just feel like when you leave the mentality behind, bro, that is when it extends past the shelf life of a week on social media, because guess what the mentality does. It lasts forever, has longevity, and and it's so perfectly on brand. Nipsey's brand is the marathon, and it just so happens that his mentality is the marathon. It lasts forever, it's not a sprint. And if She's mentality will always work, it will always work. There will never be in time of life where you shouldn't be playing for the long game ever ever. Ever, so he wins forever. I don't care if he's here or not. His mentality is here and at that point, you've transcended your body. They put this fucking piece of ship body in the ground and in the dirt. But my soul, in my mentality is omnipresident. That's my focus. Bro. I know I've already like I'm omni President. I could die today and I know I beat the game of life because I transcended it. Tell you, because I put out the book, I gave you all mentality. I have people live in a certain way off of how to think and behave and whatever, like this is a real like I would you know, we talked about how do you honor some of these artists if they would have passed away tragically today? Like what would you do in their honor? And what is it You go to a store and buy clothes that doesn't like black people, or you go buy a car, or you go like Nipsey, Bro, Nipsey has you. The way you honor Nipsey is is running the long race and ownership and giving back to the community. So I feel like with me, I could die today because I left I already did my part. I'm gonna do more of my part, but I did my part, and I left behind the mentality and I left behind something that people will forever be able to apply to the life forever, forever, forever. I like that. Man, It's always wonderful when when a guest can put you on some game. You know what I'm saying, Like, you know, I appreciate you. It's amazing. Don't cut you five, bro. That's real ship, because it's what ship is gonna always be there, always, always. How you feel about things is always going to leave a bigger handprint than the song you dropped. You know what I'm saying when they know they're getting it wrong, Like it's how you feel. That's why people's people's grandfathers who told them one gem of advice lasts longer and resonates more than the song that someone so dropped who passed away, because it's like, no, I can't use that. How am I supposed to use that song for my life? I'm thirty now what now? What I should still be obsessed with the texts? It's crazy, Like it's crazy, it's crazy. What's the spot you like to hit in the city? So in Atlanta when you just get some downtown like he was talking about what you like to eat and all that good ship, Like stay. That's the thing I was just saying today, like I don't come into the city because I live on the north side, so I just stay in my house like Uber eats all day. I don't like. I don't like. Do you go to the door and get your food? Very set up where the gate code, but the gate code buzzes my phone. Then I gotta let you in. Then you leave it on the front porch. You get the funk away from right. No autographs today, And if you like, I feel bold enough to ring the doorbell, be like, I'm here. I got that app like, you get the funk off, go away. I hate you right there, right, but I can see your plaques from out here. That's funny, man, that's having Let's just say that's funny. Man. Away, I'm sitting. Oh bad. Let's talk about shape the snow globe a little bit before you ride, man, shape the snow a little it's too good of a comment. We got to have another at least thirty minutes. Rush, I can get somebody say your wine's gone. I'm thinking it might be out of one winds. Come on. My mind is here, so it's okay, what what? Why? Why is shape the snow Globe special to you, and why shouldn't be special to the world. You know why, because there's really a wolf. My first album was uh me, halfway on the come up, halfway tasting successful the first time, so it captures that Zoo is in the belly of the beast of the hate. So it's like kind of a dark, aggressive album. Shake the Snow Globe is the first album where the dust that settled and I've you know, taking my jacket off and I'm like, all right, cool, I see what it is. And that's why it's only going to get more comfortable from here, you know. Shade the Snowball was also the first album where I've recorded it all in one place. You know, there's really a wolf. Was at Bugus's house and on the road. Same thing with Zoo Shake the Snowbirllb. I got my house, I got a crazy studio. The whole thing is recorded in my basement. Comes from comfortable. Yeah, yeah, so it's only gonna get better for me. You know what, what what are the spots like other than than Atlanta? Do you when you say you just love like, where do you like to go? Where do you like to be? Where else? Would you live I love I Love Lake Gloser in Switzerland. Yeah, oh yeah. So the reason that I went to was, uh, it was this hotel called it was just numbers, it was four numbers. It's like this famous Japanese architect designer. But it was like up in the Alps. It was crazy. But uh, Italy is notice like the Amalfi Coast Switzer. I don't know, Like there's so many ill places around the world. I feel like traveling is the biggest blessing because you understand that your little bubble is not ship right, No, that's your hood. We love you, we love the hood. But facts. But it's like you're the flies person in your zip code. That's pathetic, you feel me like you know how pathetic that is. You're telling me, out of all the zip codes in the world, this is the only one you're flying. This is it because if you if you bring this trash as fit to Italy, you look nuts, You look nuts and all that. Oh I was ill and this is code though, who cares? Bro The world is so much bigger than that. Like when you when you're fucking, when you brought in your horizons, you realize that there's different food in pairs, and there's different clothes in Italy, and there's different this here that I just feel like you become a more well rounded person. I know people gonna be like, well, we don't have the money to be doing that. Yeah, y'all do, Yeah, y'all do, because y'all spend at least at least a lot of y'all spend at least a thousand dollars a year. I'm downplaying on weed a thousand a year. But you can get a ticket overseas for fucking you know what I'm saying. And you can spend two nights in a shitty hotel for for a hundred dollars. Two hundred dollars a night, you know, let's call your thousand. You just to go just to see some ship and get a stamp. And you want to act like you don't have the money to do it. No, you don't have the discipline to do it. Change the word. Keep it real with yourself. You don't have to discipline to do it. You have the money to do it. You spend your money on you. Sure you figure out a way to go to the club Fresh every Friday. Yeah, you figure out how to do what you want to do because they don't really want to do it because it ignorance is bliss, and so you don't miss what you're missing out on what I'm saying. Who got the baddest women? You think? Atlanta? Atlanta over Switzerland, Italy, Japan, everywhere. Atlanta has all of it, all of it. Like I'll say Atlanta, Uh, Toronto in Toronto number two? Yeah, I was crazy. Now I'm gonna say Atlanta Toronto. I'm gonna just give a sleeper just because are you ready for this? Michigan telling you bro, I'm telling you something different. I don't know the water h Now I'm gonna go in New York. Okay, yeah, but because all the bad bitch from everywhere come here. Everyone wants to look like that at all bad bites from everywhere you can think of, move here and be a whole new Hope. Who I will back y'all sucking me up on the bleachers. I'm sach you know how you know the kids? You have some kids? Story like she'd be sucking part is you know what you do? Know? Don't talk about bros. Been up five people and you know what I'm saying. She ain't got worried about that ship. I stayed in Atlanta up brand new bitch, and that's like going to Corging. Like, yeah, I was in nerd high by a quarterback. I would played varsity in high school. It doesn't matter your whole new person. When you go to college. What do you do in high school? I was like, you were get to start over, start over. I've been saying Atlantic because you know what, bro At the end of the day, Atlanta is just the best of everything. Like you'll find a regular You'll find a regular girl in Atlantic, like a thousand followers bad that like the baddest one. I'm telling you, they're the baddest one of them. Got them of Private Page fifteen hundred fundred following and they have fucking bachelor's degrees and they're just work. They went to state. Yeah, I'm telling you, regular girls just bad. Like you're like, God, damn, you deserve a little bit more shine. You come with me, RUSSA turn you up. Scared though, you put somebody on and then if they like dip on you. I can't like that. I'm murder It comes with the game. No, that's not acceptable to me. I'm just saying, like what you want to marry. I'm not about to give you life the gratitude you've gotta put someone onto their whole scheme in life. I mean, it's beautiful, but it's like but then, yeah, but then it's like, damn if we don't end up doing something long term. Yes exactly, it's like you're welcome. I got her ready for you. You know what I'm saying. It's almost like I can see it, I'll let it go. But then at that point I put it like this, it's about investment of time and energy. I'm not about to invest my time and energy to someone on that series of a level unless this is what we're doing. That's what I can do. What I'm saying, what I'm saying is what if what if you got your country, the country to ship, put up your manager, you got your ship together, you know what I'm saying. So your advice is make your side bit your manager time. Oh you're managing the bitch man. I'm managing what's going on with whatever. If I turn you up, I'm in this paperwork for a lifetime. I like that. I like that I'm saying. So if I like I like to fall in love at least three months. I need, you need at least three months a long I need at least I need. I need an ep out of you and I. But this ship don't work, then hey man, we locked in lifetime. I just think, Yeah, it gets scary when it's like a chick, you know, know nothing nothing going on. It's bad. Like you see, you're like a A and R. I see, if it's talent, then it's you know, then the running While I say he should he said you shouldn't be day for ever? Like me ever noticed you? You noticeable and can't nobody to get control of you? Twist the fantasy if it was flipped around, though, which would you be loyal to the celebrity women if we were nobody's I feel like, yo, you're just having this conversation. What's crazy to me is that, like the times we're living in, I couldn't imagine being like, let's say you're just it's the exaction that I gave you in the car on the way here. I swear to God. Let's say you're just a regular dude and you're doing really well for yourself, but like you're in not like let's say you work at Google, you Ma, you're not out of here, but you're dating like a famous batcheck who's got d M from everyone. Right, I don't know if you could be so mad that your girl leaves you for like shock. It's like it's like that kind of makes sense. You gotta kind of just be like, yeah, I mean I get it. So that means you're approving of your back, like i'd be sucking my girls who like they get d MS from like crazy legends. I'm like, no, like take the drink. I understand, like what I'm just you know, I get it. But like, if you're that dude who's working at Google and you're lit in your little societal life year, I'm turning went to cause the whole thing. But your girl has like offers to go get drinks with legends, Like, bro, you can't be mad at she answer. So it's scary. It's scary. That's the original question, because I know there's another that wasn't the question. That's how the question there was another answer though. What we were talking about. We reversed what we do in this day and age with with famous women your d M or something. Okay, we can talk about that too. How do you hand out what you asked him. I'm not trying to put a question on me. Asked him if it shouldn't be okay? If a woman turned a dude up, would you be loyal to it? Would you be okay? See? Now here's my thing. If let's say you're a regular dude, halle Berry, DMG, right, you better just buckle down, bro and go dumb. That's about it ill as you're gonna get If you are to do that, Google, that's your full time job, yeah, Google, to make happy, to just simply supply, right, you know what I'm saying. Like I have two six days a week from your nine. So you can figure the scenario. Halle Berry makes you famous if you weren't famous, right, and now you're more famous? But now but now is trying to get at you? Done deal, So you got That's what I say. So you're not gonna be loyal. You're not gonna be loyal. So can you inspect the moment that you turn up to be loyal to? That's all I've gotten rid of me. Now you're still with halle butt shot hypothetically, Well see, but you know why you can't aime that person if they go too to dabble in the shot the age because you took them from a place of anonymity and you let them into this new life that they didn't even know they had access. You can't. You don't know what ship tastes like. No bringing it down. He put it down, He put it down. You know. Listen, like if if if I go from thinking that my pond is this and halle Berry comes and snatches me, and now I'm dragged through this door of echelon pond, I'm now thinking like damn yeah, like halle Berry like amazing, great, thankful. But what he's saying, who wants this mash? I might have to go try these flavors? And it's your fault because I didn't even know this candy store existed. But I got you. You know what, he'll put me around. You know what I'm saying. I gotta let him get n dig that. That's what he's saying. Hey, man, keep me a local joker. Man, if you want a local joker. All I'm saying, if you when you turn the woman out, and I will say you should break up with Halley. If that's the case, keep it keep it solid. At least I don't think cheating is over the ways. So I think cheating is very weak. Cheating is signs of a non confrontational human being. That I think cheating is the signs of a non confrontational human being, which almost makes my soul resonated with that your bitch made, because it's like, why can't you just be like, you know what, I'm having a little bit too many feelings over here and not enough over here with you, so this is done. People too often want to just be like, man, I can't even tell her that, I can't even tell him that, So I'm gonna just go over here, and then it becomes this whole blow up and now people get labeled as toxic and they have all these weird trust issues when really it's like, bro, you could have just been like, nah, I'm good on this right now, but mouser's want their cake and they want to eat it too. Look at a lot of guns. I suggest if you're recording artists, it's great content at that point you gotta flip that. Nah. But like I just I think cheating is weak. I do. I think cheating is super weak. Sure, I cheated once in my life, but it was with my first relationship for reals, when I was seventeen, and you know, I was emotionally immature, so I was like, you know, I was I was playing basketball in high school. I was making bees in high school. I wasn't even thinking about girls. I was on some other ship. So I didn't lose my virginity till seventeen. You feel me with this girl because I was on some other ship and so you know, fucking with her it was like it was amazing. But then I kind of got turned out to some other ship. You know what I'm saying, Like, I'm like, oh wait a second, I'm like all these girls who I thought, you know, like you don't even know that. Maybe some girls roxy on it like that, and like damn, actually they were. I'm out of double back maybe and figure out what's going on. But I was just emotionally immature, and so moving forward after that, I never cheated again because I saw what it did somebody that I actually cared about, and I was like man, and I was like, man, I could never I don't want to feel that. And then of course my comment bade me in the ash. That's the very next relationship I was getting cheated on, like motherfucker. You know what I mean? Like, and that was expected, understood and acceptable. That's what I deserved, you feel me. But now where I'm at now, I just I couldn't. I don't have the stomach to do it, you know, Like I don't have the fucking I don't have the balls, nor the heart, nor the My grandfather pop Up who passed away, Uh, he always told me, Uh, if you want to be a good lie, you better have a good memory. And I'm just not even trying to be caught up in the memory like that, Like I gotta figure out, you know, why why your shee'es on on the bed during the while they in the wash, you know what I'm saying, Like we'd ship, like I'm not trying to Like, I'm not trying to keep tabs on the wrong dude. If I got to keep tabs on my like day to day ship because I've done something wrong, then I've done something wrong and I'm sucked up. And if and then if you go end up doing something fun up to me, I can't snap on you and be like how dare you? Just because you didn't find out about me doing something wrong doesn't mean I wasn't doing something wrong. It just means you didn't find out. You know, even if I found out about your ship, I just couldn't do it. Now, Bro, I'm too worried about karma. I'm too worried about the reciprocation of the of the wrong doing. What's the final words you would say to um, maybe somebody that was in your position when you was fifteen and you just had big dreams or just becoming rest man, what's the What's what type of game you'll give them? I would say, allow yourself to be you and just and grow and also trust yourself even when you feel not trustworthy, meaning creatively everything, Like I feel like one thing I'm proud of is the same thing that I forgive myself for, which is being so me at the time. You know, me at nineteen was it different me at seven? And it's supposed to be so when I look back at me and nineteen, I'm like, damn, it's fucking your fuking idiot, Like what are you doing that? Uh? You know, Like that's how you should feel about you as of five days ago, in my opinion, not like that heavy, but you should feel like I'm better than that you know, and um, I think as long as you're operating out of the truth of your present moment, like this is who I am now, and I'm proud of who I am now. And I know I might grow from this, but this is me now. That's the goal, bro, because you never want to you never want to look back on your life. I think it, and and think that, Man, I wonder what being me would have turned out to be. My Fader's miserable and forty and they going, even then, how are you gonna be visible? It's like, bro, you were better off being miserable in you because at least you can saying ship, I was me and me just didn't work out, you know what I'm saying. Like, so I'm proud of the fact that I was me and and anything that got me into some heat online or whatever, and any interviews I look back and I cringed, and I'm like, this is fucking crazy. I'm like, you know what, at that time, I was me. I wasn't me now that that person and that ship was not me now, but I was me then and I'm proud of that because I was fearless. So just be you and you'll grow organically through your processes and journey of you. Let's I always say, okay, big shots out to rust Man. Make sure y'all check out that Shake the snow Globe. If you haven't already you said, you can at an audio book to name It's on your Head. So it's a hardcover book too, it's called It's on your Head. It's a self help book, the Stories Bonds and Noble Everything. Okay, yeah, I'm gonna check that out too, man, you know, yeah, okay, please do now. I'm telling you like it's I always tell people like, yo, if I was tragically died tomorrow, don't start with my music. Play the audiobook first, and then listen to the music, because after the audio book, there is no way you don't hear some ship that resonates, because it's I'm not giving you any new game. You know, everything has already been said. It's now, how are you saying it? Everything's been said, you know, like everything, yeah, nothing new one the everything so like, and all I'm doing is regurgitating certain unspoken codes that have already been communicated. So there's no way that if you listen to the whole audiobook and not catching something that resonates, so you should listen to that then the music, because then the music has a context. I'm not just you know, shut up and drive. I'm not just an artist. I'm trying to like, I know that songs don't last like that. I don't mentalities do, so I'm trying to leave that behind for sure. And my mom be texting me every day like y'all arge you on the radio six times and and it's like that's it for me, you know, Like I realized that, man, certain elements of your success are not meant for you. They're meant to they provide more hope for someone else than you, you know, like you getting a chain might mean more for the deuce standing next to you and just for you because it's like, wow, I can get it too. That's how it should be, so, you know, I don't know, just like seeing my mom happy every day because she hears the song on the radio in Atlanta. Finally, because you know, I'm I'm up a weird hours.
