It is Kentucky Sports Radio, Wednesday, February the fifth. I'm Matt Jones here live in San Francisco, California. It's Thursday. It is Thursday, but it is September fifth, swait I only it's September every February fifth. I said, September yesterday? Why did that? Why did I do football? 00:00:58 Speaker 5: You're already ready for next football season. 00:01:00 Speaker 4: I guess I did. Like yesterday, Mario asked me if the last game was Sunday, and that was fun. Yeah, The super Bowl. They finished the year? 00:01:07 Speaker 5: Are we still doing game recapsule? 00:01:09 Speaker 4: You guys? Five twenty two eighty seven is the Clark's Puppa Shop. Fune Line a vision Auto glass text machine is seven seven to two seven seven four five two five four in this diition sponsored by the TJ. Smith Office called TJ He'll make Them Pay. It is Thursday. We've only been here thirty six hours, but it feels like we've been here a long time. And uh in Billy's room again after we were here late last night doing a postgame show Drew. It has been an excellent thirty six hours, capped off by the Cats win yesterday. I was gonna say, you know, we're gonna talk a lot about our trip, because we talked a lot about the game last night. 00:01:46 Speaker 5: That's not really true. On the postgame show, we tried. 00:01:50 Speaker 4: We did try, but we were giddy, and because we were giddy, we ended up being I even had Dan Pfeiffer, former ab SEE TV news analysts go, you all sounded like you were on gummies last night, and I promise you we were not. But then someone said that's what people who were on gummies would say, So I guess there's no way to prove otherwise. 00:02:11 Speaker 5: There were a lot of allegations of marijuana using. We were too busy yesterday to even stop if we wanted to. I mean, it was just one thing after another that was just pure happiness. And the fourteen thousand steps yesterday those need to count as triple. These are not normal steps out here. My legs are still hurting. But no, yesterday truly one of my favorite days of all time, not just with KSR. That was like one of my best life days. 00:02:32 Speaker 4: I agree, So we want to talk about some of it. Five nine, twenty two eighty seven. Will we will talk about the game, I promise, But look, we're out here, so I think we need to talk about being here now. The first our first episode they had even the NFL has audio difficulties at least when we're there. So they once you screwed over and let Mario sit down. 00:02:50 Speaker 6: Billy, I'm like a bite, Mario, come on right here, get in bed with Billy. 00:02:53 Speaker 4: All right. So so anyway that we the first episode did come out. It's out last night. It has our interview with Mike Golick and with Who's l Davis Terrell Davis Sean Alexander is listed on there, but they're putting that one out today and I want you to listen to it. It also includes Stevie Johnson of Stevie Got Loose Fame and it was a lot of fun, but the highlight was just the day. So I'm going to try to explain a little bit about what this is so people understand, all right and feel free to jump in. When you walk in to NFL Radio Row, it is a plethora of everything. Every TV station, every TV show you can imagine is live there, and every radio show you can imagine and podcast is there. Is that fair to say? Yeah? For people imagine what you see on TV and you think that's like some big set. 00:03:53 Speaker 5: No, it's pretty small. And they're just next to each other in a row, one after night next it's like walking through your TV. 00:03:58 Speaker 4: So like, I'll just quit, I'll just think about going from around the side. So you're like, there's Pat McAfee, there's ESPN Radio, There's CBS, Jim Rome and all those people. There's Bleacher Report that looks to have spent ten million dollars on their set. There's Sirius XM with Steven A. Smith, Chris Russo, Katie Nolan. Right, there's the NFL Network, there's Matt and Drew and Bill. Why are we there? 00:04:29 Speaker 5: There's no reason for us to be there. 00:04:31 Speaker 4: Oh look, there's Fox Sports Radio. There's Stu Gotts and Dan LeBatard. Right, there's DraftKings, there's FanDuel. You just circle around and then on the inside are kind of the lesser things, and even those are like things you've heard of. There's Shannon Sharp, there's uh, you know, fIF FIFA had a World Cup booth and like in one of the prime slots are me and you stop. 00:05:00 Speaker 5: Why we walked straight to the middle with the little tables because that's just our natural Oh this is us here where they have nothing available. 00:05:07 Speaker 4: Okay, yeah, they're like no, no, that big set with the lights and the crew of fifteen people waiting for you, that's you all. And then you get on the set. It's amazing what lighting can do. I felt handsome for the first time in my life on like, like, you get lights and a good camera and you're like, whoa, mies are blue? That's nice like that. You want to feel good about yourself, have someone take a picture of you on a TV studio set. 00:05:36 Speaker 6: Billy, Yeah, the set was incredible. I thought the same thing. We were gonna get the table next to the water fountain. I mean no, and we're gonna be on a different set today. We got a lounge set. 00:05:46 Speaker 4: Today, we're gonna be on their casual couch set, which yesterday while we were sitting there had the Workaholics and the vander Pumps, and the vander Pumps were there. Hello, miss vander Pump. I didn't know what to say to the vandor Pumps. I was. 00:06:01 Speaker 5: I was geeking out. 00:06:03 Speaker 4: At Adam Devine, Kelvin Jimstone. I wanted to sing to him and say that I was gonna run around the house with a pickle in my mouth. But he I was way too happy to see him because I didn't expect to see someone like that there. 00:06:17 Speaker 5: No, we told him, you know, we're a sports show, but we would do reviews of your episodes on Mondays. After watching him and right after that, and I could tell he was loving it and he was being all nice. I was like, this is the part where Matt's gonna sing. I felt it in my bones. I was like, Matt is gonna baby billy him right here on this set. I was prepared. I don't think he would have. I think I would have been embarrassing. But I wanted to baby be, like, you know who's. 00:06:39 Speaker 4: On there today? I looked at right before us, that's it, Uh, what's his name? Bowen Yang? The two the guys and then like he has a podcast with like another gay guy. We'll go talk s and l they will probably have us on as a guest. I would think we're on there right before us. It's it's it's them and then us. When these people say the vander Pont Artha Stewart's gonna be there today, we got interview Mark Artha Stewart. What if? What if? What if? We get Martha Stewart today? 00:07:11 Speaker 5: See, those are the kind of guests we need, I do. With all due respect to the second string linebacker from the Colts that we have on the schedule to. 00:07:18 Speaker 4: Do we have So who do we have today? 00:07:19 Speaker 5: We have Christian Watson And when some guy I've never. 00:07:22 Speaker 6: Heard defensive tackle. 00:07:24 Speaker 5: Yeah from the from the job. 00:07:26 Speaker 4: Yeah, this is it's a big major And don't don't don't tell him I said this it's a big major step down and guessed like yesterday was just a murderers that was silly. I mean, you stock with you start with Terrell Davis, then you come to Mike Golig, then you come to Shawn Alexander, and then you get Busting with the boys. Joe Milton, who I didn't have a lot to talk about, but was nice. Christian McCaffrey is is the next, and who was last? 00:07:52 Speaker 5: Bryce Young? 00:07:52 Speaker 4: Bryce only Bryce Ye? 00:07:56 Speaker 5: What we did? 00:07:57 Speaker 4: We sang if I had one hundred and fifty thousand, he I'm not gonna do the gilly thing. But so many of those, all of them, they could have they had a busy day, They could have walked to the next set immediately shaking hands things guys. Most of them hung around and talked off the air, just being like over the top nice to us. 00:08:15 Speaker 5: Like Bryce Young was like, all right, Bryce, you can leave now. You don't have to like hang her all day. But like you think their crew would usher them off, but they just wanted to. 00:08:22 Speaker 4: That was my biggest takeaway was how nice all those people were, Like the Buzzing with the Boys people like they are. They've literally got tons of people following them around everywhere they go, like fans. I don't know how those people got in there. But they couldn't be nice and they acted like we were all friends. And I felt bad giving him a hard time about will Stein, which I did, and he took it completely fine. 00:08:45 Speaker 5: Right, And I mentioned my guy Many here before. He was a big Panthers Bryce Young fan, and he and Bryce Young that was cool. 00:08:51 Speaker 4: I told him, Matt. 00:08:52 Speaker 5: He pulled me aside. 00:08:53 Speaker 4: He's like, let's get a picture and send it to his friends and family, and I'm like, that is just so that was really nice for people who don't know Drew's frad Maney was a big Panthers fan, and Bryce Young wanted to do something for his family. How nice is that? 00:09:05 Speaker 5: I said, Bryce, I know you played well, but Many actually carried you to the playoffs. I just need you to know that. And he took it in stride and so let's end a pictured everyone. 00:09:11 Speaker 4: So that was that was great. The Stevie Johnson thing though, maybe the highlight. So we're sitting there and we see a guy wearing this ridiculous buffalo bills like Fred Flintstone hat, and we go look at that guy and then all of a sudden, I think you said it's Stevie Johnson. Oh, I screamed, I threw my fly guy hands together and me, so we stand up and we do the fly guy. He sees us, comes running over, pulls off his Buffalo Bill's hat and has a Kentucky hat in the bills hat. My man was walking around with a Kentucky hat in his Bill's hat, which shows he loves Kentucky. Who does that right? 00:09:56 Speaker 5: And he was pretty far away. I don't know what he was supposed to doing. He's sprinted to us, came under our little rope area we had, and you were like, you got a few minutes. Of course, I have a few minutes. 00:10:06 Speaker 4: So he sits down with us. He was not on the schedule and it was a great conversation. You can hear it. It's on the cover zero podcast. It's the very first thing, so you definitely want to hear that. And while you're doing it, go ahead and subscribe to it. That would be nice. He U. 00:10:24 Speaker 5: You brought up the rap he did before the LSU game. It might be one of three people that still listen to that regularly. 00:10:31 Speaker 4: You brought it up, and in one of the most amazing things I've ever seen, he remembered the whole thing and did it right there. With Drew chipping in throughout telling you, I don't know what's more impressive that he remembered it or that you remembered. 00:10:47 Speaker 5: It, got the hotel yelling big Blue it's true. But that, I mean, as cool as the stuff on the set was, you might be right, just the surprise and the impromptu interview of Stevie Johnson and him remembering that song almost years later. 00:11:01 Speaker 4: And I got to tell Stevie Johnson that Stevie Got Loose came from us. He didn't know, he knew, he knew it came from somewhere and he knew it. But I was like, Stevie, that came from my friend who was drunk in the parking lot going stevee Got lo And he was like, no way. He was like I've always wondered. And I got to tell him that, Philly, that I mean, you're too young to appreciate how awesome that was. But that was awesome. 00:11:30 Speaker 6: Well you could just hear it in his voice, the joy. I mean, he was so appreciative of everything that Kentucky had done for him, and it was perfect. Besides me screwing up the DAP in which Mario. 00:11:39 Speaker 4: Records You're not a dapper. 00:11:43 Speaker 6: I appreciate him going in for a dap, but I just. 00:11:46 Speaker 4: Have you ever done a good dap. 00:11:48 Speaker 6: I'm more of a firm handshake, looking at the kind of guy maybe get get your business card. 00:11:54 Speaker 4: Yeah. 00:11:54 Speaker 5: Someone yesterday replied to a video and said I had a clean dap, and I gotta be honest, I've never gotten a better complement. That made my day because when you have a bad dap like Billy, it gets called out. You look like you don't belong there. And I'm not a great daper either, but it looked clean enough. 00:12:09 Speaker 4: Always just shake hands because I I don't want to have the weird dap. 00:12:13 Speaker 5: If somebody leans in for a hug, I'll do the bro hug, but I try. 00:12:17 Speaker 4: To just like when Joe Milton's got his hand up, it's like, oh no, yeah, you'll hear this. I think it'll be out. Today Mario was making fun of me because I asked Joe Milton if if food gets stuck in his grill, is that why? 00:12:32 Speaker 5: Is that a bad Queer's the media? 00:12:33 Speaker 4: You're like, no, you just fluss, but it just feels like it's a good question. It was hard because we didn't know what to ask Joe Milt. I mean, let's be fair, like, what are you going to ask him? I'll be honest. When he walked on said I don't I didn't know who he played for. I almost brought up the last maybe two teams ago. I pulled that Patriots question all about you know when Will Ferrell blacks out, and he's like, he played for the Patriots. 00:12:56 Speaker 5: I was good press looked into that one. 00:12:59 Speaker 4: Yeah, and I did. So I was like, well, I'll sing Rocky Top to him and I'll get him to finish the words. And so I went once I had a girl on Rocky Top and he's like, I don't know that, and I go, how you not knowuts you played for? Tennessee? He was like eh, although he did a good line. He said I heard it a lot when we played you all. 00:13:19 Speaker 5: I was like, you got me, uh, But it was awesome. 00:13:25 Speaker 4: And then all day you're just looking around and you're like, oh, there's Cam Newton, Hello, T Higgins and Jamar Chase. Like if you look at one of our videos when we're talking to Sewn, Alexander, T Higgins and Jamar Chase just walked by our shoulders, that's it. Like every NFL player you can think of when I walked in nearly not Joe Flacco on his ass. 00:13:50 Speaker 5: I wasn't even through the door yet. You were like three steps in the door, and you and Joe Flacco just almost collide. He's got all his little Flaccos with him. I almost brought down flat the whole Flacco family. He almost took them out as we're stepping into the building. 00:14:04 Speaker 4: And then you see like random people and and like you would see him out on the street, you might get excited. They don't register in there, like he Brock Hubard. Oh you don't. I don't have time for you, Heward. Listen, come on, Don McNabb's right there, Donald McNabb, Shandon, Don McNabb, he's he's not been in the weight room. 00:14:26 Speaker 3: Oh is he not the same Donovan mcnabby. 00:14:30 Speaker 5: Some of these guys look like they could still play. 00:14:33 Speaker 4: Yeah, Dy Davis, Terrell Davis looks like Sean Merriman looked like he could still play. Joe Fla or Donavan McNabb's not. 00:14:40 Speaker 3: Playing, he's got the dead. 00:14:43 Speaker 4: Well, that's that'd be generous. 00:14:46 Speaker 5: I mean, he does have a vault of campbells. Shunk I know that's true, Dar, I'm not judging him. 00:14:54 Speaker 4: Okay, super life we did with all of that said, though, in my opinion, not the moment, Yeap. The best moment was we had a run in with Ice. The ice, Ice, the the ice, not Vanel Eyes. I'm ice and but it's not what you think. And I well, we'll talk about that after this break cover Zero KSR met Ice and it was really an interesting interaction. That's next right here, Okaz. Welcome back at this Kentucky sports radio. If I'm nine two eight twenty two eighty seven text machine seven seven two seven seven four five two five four. One person rights, Matt, my wife and I love your show. We're currently listening to it while getting an ultrasound for our sun coming in May. I'm I'm sure the ultrasound tech is enjoying it as much as us. Hello to the ultrasound tech, and good luck on the ultrasound and go cats and go baby. 00:15:57 Speaker 5: Yeah, I know about those ultrasound trips right now. I hope everything's going well with him. Yes, I do do as well. 00:16:02 Speaker 4: One person says, Matt, singing Rocky Top to cater to a Tennessee player. As gross I've said this before. I kind of like Rocky Top as a song. I don't like it when they play it when they score, but I'm I mean, I like that kind of music. What do you want me to say? Half bear the other half cat. I know it better than the Tennessee players. 00:16:22 Speaker 5: Yeah, if you don't want Matt singing it, at least he had a Tennessee quarterback admit that he don't even really know. 00:16:27 Speaker 4: Yeah. I got to admit one of their quarterbacks doesn't even know the song. 00:16:31 Speaker 5: Yeah, so it worked out in your favor when you weren't trying to embarrass him. But it might have come off that way. 00:16:36 Speaker 4: I really wasn't trying to embarrass him. 00:16:37 Speaker 5: You just want to sing one person, right. 00:16:40 Speaker 4: I think one of the reasons everybody was so nice to you is they thought Jeff Saturday was on the set. 00:16:44 Speaker 5: Great moment, this is first, Like you do look like Jeff Saturday. I've gotten that before. 00:16:49 Speaker 4: Former Indianapolis Colts player and coach. Actually, Tony Dungee came and pulled on Drew's the best way to pull on his shirt, like a little child meeting his heath. 00:17:02 Speaker 5: I was on an elevated surface and someone just kept pulling on me and I'm like what, who is this? And actually Will from Bust with the Boys said, Tony Dungee is pulling on you, and I'm like what? And I turned around and we like eyes, and Tony Dungee looks at me and it's clear he has the wrong person, and he is he was. 00:17:19 Speaker 4: I saw this. He was giddy to talk to you, and I was like, have Drew and Tony Dungee been carrying on a tourd love affair that I didn't know about? Like how how did that? Because because he had that look like I am so excited to see you. And then Drew turned around and the disappointment was so palpitable on his face and then there was this awkward you gave each other a fist bump. 00:17:44 Speaker 5: I looked at him basically, I think my eyes told him I realized that you don't really want to talk to me, so let's just acknowledge this mistake and we'll both move on. 00:17:53 Speaker 4: We don't have to talk about it. 00:17:54 Speaker 5: Yeah, I gave him that. I feel like we had a full conversation with our eyes. You did, and then he just boasted off and he was like hey, then went back to this and then went. 00:18:02 Speaker 4: Right back to me. 00:18:02 Speaker 5: He was just yanking on my shirt trying to speak to me. 00:18:05 Speaker 4: All right, Shannon, I want to tell you this story. Okay, do you like you? All right? So, I mean you've watched the news. Ice has been in the news, right, we know what's been happening. What's been happening with Ice. So this is not what I thought was gonna happen if I So we're sitting there and a man is pulling this briefcase on wheels, like a huge briefcase, Shannon, just to describe to you. Think about how big our traveling equipment is in that big rolling you know what I mean, the equipment like for the radio show. It was about this big and he's rolling it through this room and all of a sudden he stops and he looks at me and he goes, hey, you're the guy from Wrestlers, right, And I was like, yeah, how did you know that? Although oddly a lot of people recognize me from Wrestlers, And I was like yeah, and he goes and he goes, hey, yeah, I love that show. Like oh you know, so now I'm making small talk and I go, yeah, what do you do? 00:19:03 Speaker 5: And he's like I'm with Ice Border Patrol, and so I try not. 00:19:07 Speaker 4: To have like a physical reaction. I'm like, oh okay, yeah, And I was like, what what are you doing here? Because you know that's been in the news that they were gonna be at the super Bowl and like there was controversy. I thought maybe I was gonna be breaking journalistic news. And he goes, oh, you know, well, we just uh, we just got a counterfeit Lombardi trophy. He's like, oh okay. He was like, yeah, there's a guy out there acting like he had the eighty five San Francisco forty nine or super Bowl trophy. So we took it from him. 00:19:38 Speaker 3: That's WoT job. 00:19:39 Speaker 4: Because I didn't know Shannon that Ice did that. 00:19:41 Speaker 3: Yeah, I thought. 00:19:42 Speaker 4: He opens he goes, he looks at me, and he goes, you want to see it? And I was like, sure, yeah, I want to. 00:19:51 Speaker 3: Let's look at it. 00:19:52 Speaker 4: And so he opens up this briefcase and not only is that in there, there are like twenty five counter Patrick Mahomes jerseys. He was like, yeah, we're just seating, we're seizing fake merchandise. ICE and Border Patrol are walking around just taking fake merchandise like people are selling and then rolling it through radio Row, and then rolling it through radio Row and then just showing it to people. So then he hands as Shannon this fake super Bowl trophy. Drew and Billy and I pose with it. Of course it's forty nine ers dolphins on it. We hold it. People then think that it's the real trophy, So Shannon, a line develops of people wanting to hold the fake Lombardi trophy. People don't care, so we take So we take these pictures and then this guy from ICE goes, hey, post that picture. Just make sure you. 00:20:45 Speaker 3: Tag ICE just so you know that it is the fake one. 00:20:50 Speaker 4: He wants me to hold up a fake super Bowl trophy and go thanks Ice. 00:20:56 Speaker 5: He gave us the their Twitter handle. 00:20:57 Speaker 4: He gave us their Twitter handle. So I had no idea that Border Patrol and eyes I've. 00:21:03 Speaker 5: Been seen on the news. 00:21:05 Speaker 4: Did you know they seized counterfeit football. 00:21:09 Speaker 2: I'm no, I'm not convinced they're the real Ice that you met. That may be fake Ice out there. I didn't know that Ice. Well, see, I will say we did say stuff. One of the guys with the one of the guys with the NFL did look at me and. 00:21:20 Speaker 5: Say you sure that guy was he had a pin on a suit. He did have a pin though they were wearing suits, could be a fake. If they were wearing suits, he had he had an Ice Border patrol pin. There were about six of them with this one. Crazy. 00:21:37 Speaker 4: Yes, there were a lot of guys Like if they were pulling off a ruse, it was a heck of a ruse. But I don't think they were. I think they were because they also had gotten in, so they had to have had titles or something. I mean, I didn't know we had that division where we're going and getting counterfeit Pat Mahomes jersey, but there was like fifteen jerseys in one trophy and six guys in suits carrying it around. 00:22:00 Speaker 5: Maybe just let the Pat Mahomes guy have his jerseys. So we were talking about Shannon. 00:22:05 Speaker 4: If you in other context, when people seize things, they don't have the general public like pose with it. Like if they seize fifty thousand dollars worth of cocaine, they don't just let people go, hey, you want to pose with the cocaine? 00:22:18 Speaker 3: Right? 00:22:19 Speaker 5: Yeah, Like we were posings. I took Matt's picture, Billy took my. You know, we had a rotation. When this line formed, everyone was by themselves, so the actual ICE people were taking the photos for each fan hand the trophy they'd like set up. Basically, a trophy. 00:22:35 Speaker 3: Should be digging into that bag? What else is it? There can I pose with with this? 00:22:38 Speaker 4: Like? 00:22:38 Speaker 3: What else is in that that bag? 00:22:41 Speaker 4: I it was just it was just a thing I didn't know they did. It's like a lot of people don't know the Secret Service does counterfeit money. ICE must be in addition to trying to find ilegal immigrants. 00:22:53 Speaker 5: Looking for illegal Patrick Mahomes jerseys. 00:22:56 Speaker 6: And we're cheesing hard in that photo at least I am. 00:22:58 Speaker 5: Well, it was just a bizarre are occurrence and it's the Lombardi We'll be right back ks R. 00:23:05 Speaker 4: TJ. Smith, personal injury attorney called TJ. 00:23:08 Speaker 3: He'll make them pay now. 00:23:10 Speaker 2: More of Kentucky Sports Radio presented by Stockton Mortgage. 00:23:13 Speaker 3: Here's Matt Jones. 00:23:15 Speaker 4: I mean, I'm not proud that I like the song, but it's a good It's objectively a good song. Wild is a meat but sweet as Sodie Pop. 00:23:22 Speaker 5: I was singing on the post game show a few weeks ago. 00:23:25 Speaker 4: I mean, I don't I hate that it's their song. But what am I supposed to do? It's written by two guys from Kentucky, like you gotta what are you gonna do? 00:23:34 Speaker 5: Can we go take it? 00:23:35 Speaker 4: We just I mean, we took the checkerboards, so we gave it back pretty quickly, though not quick enough when we kept it for a while. All right, So I stands for immigration and customs enforcement, so customs is materials. I don't know if they were thinking. 00:23:52 Speaker 5: That those jerseys were like imported from them. 00:23:56 Speaker 4: Well, maybe they've are probably. 00:23:57 Speaker 5: I mean, I've got a woman in Chin. Her name's Rose. You get all kinds of stuff from knockoff, just turned yourself in. Yeah, I thought they were there to get met I was like, oh no, they found out about Rose. 00:24:10 Speaker 6: But the tagus on social media. 00:24:12 Speaker 4: I like the tagus on social media. You know, they need some good they need some good publicity. I was shocked by the way, Shannon, how many people. I had three different people come up to me yesterday and recognized me from Wrestlers. 00:24:25 Speaker 3: That's crazy. 00:24:26 Speaker 5: That show came out three years ago. 00:24:28 Speaker 2: Yeah, but you know it's on Netflix, is out there all across the world, so I guess maybe a lot more people watch that than what we thought. 00:24:34 Speaker 3: You know, when we were in Chicago, I. 00:24:36 Speaker 4: Saw the numbers. Yeah, yeah, I saw the numbers. I mean, we had a lot of people watch it. But it was you know, I just think because in Kentucky only people only talk to me about Kentucky. So it's just but you're right. When we had it in Chicago, and it's just that having three times yesterday, it it threw me off. So you know, there you go. One person rights Billy got To has gotten to hear me preach a couple of times on topics when things come up. You know, you heard me yesterday when somebody when we were talking about something. He writes Donald Trump this morning, Matt was at the National Prayer Breakfast and said he doesn't understand how a Christian could be a Democrat. What's your response. My response is, my relationship with Jesus Christ does not need Donald Trump's approval. There's nowhere in the Bible that says I need Donald freaking Trump to tell me about my relationship with Jesus. Now I'll move on. 00:25:33 Speaker 6: There's been a couple rants on the trip, expecting a couple more. 00:25:36 Speaker 5: You seem to like I do like it. 00:25:38 Speaker 4: Yeah, because you like you asked me questions. I like talking to you about things because you asked me questions and are thoughtful. 00:25:44 Speaker 6: Yeah, I don't know much about it, but I like to. 00:25:50 Speaker 4: I don't know much about it, all right, So a couple people have asked me about Billy here. Yes, what a day. 00:25:56 Speaker 5: Let's let's clout all right. 00:25:57 Speaker 4: So let's just let's talk about Billy's day yesterday. First of all, you don't get to jump in until we say, Billy, what did you think about? Billy at the thing reversible quarter zip or one half of the quarter zip to the NFL thing the ESPN VIP party last night flipped the quarter zip to the other side. 00:26:15 Speaker 5: Incredible. You like that work, I'll say I was confused because I thought the point of the quarter zip was helped with packing. So like Navy Sides Wednesday, Gray Sides Thursday, but he flipped midday for different events. 00:26:29 Speaker 4: My brain wasn't ready to see that kind of train. We saw a couple of people at both events. They had to be like, oh, this man's wild. 00:26:35 Speaker 5: Because everyone else you know the same people We just saw him a littleit ago. 00:26:38 Speaker 4: I didn't know who you were. Blue at Media Row Gray for the ESPN Party. 00:26:46 Speaker 5: And the Highlight everyone that listened to yesterday this morning show, we were giving Billy a hard time about the quarter of zips. Tarrell Davis, first guest. He and Billy are both wearing Navy quarters. 00:26:55 Speaker 4: Terrell Davis, they're wearing the same quarter zips. No, when we mentioned it was reversifual, Terrell Davis goes, well, I don't know if I would do that. 00:27:07 Speaker 2: Yeah, it kind of blew his mind too. 00:27:11 Speaker 4: It did kind of blow his mind. Now. I watched Billy all day because I was keeping an eye because you know, I mean, this is on this show's dime, or at least the NFL's dime. I don't want Billy spending too much time trying to get other jobs, because that's essentially what he was insinuating yesterday. First time he tries to give somebody his digital business card, doesn't work. Shitty, he tries to give it, doesn't work. Awkward situation. But then Billy, you went back to the guy a second time. Am I right? 00:27:42 Speaker 6: No, you got it a little mixed up. The first guy I met had his own digital business. 00:27:47 Speaker 4: Bill Billy got reversed the digital business I tried to give him mind he had his own. 00:27:52 Speaker 6: He said he worked for iHeart. He said, that's become a thing. Everybody at iHeart has to have a digital business card. Now I was like, what do you mean, I don't think we don't have his card and his didn't work, so so so we're saying the whole system is built on faulty inteligens. But mine's working and planning on handed it out a couple times today. 00:28:13 Speaker 2: You know, it does work handing somebody a physical business card that always works. 00:28:17 Speaker 4: It does. That does work. 00:28:18 Speaker 6: But what'd you say on the pre show this morning, Shannon, Half the time, more than half the time, you just throw that business card away. 00:28:27 Speaker 4: At one time when Apple made us all have a U two album, that's what you're like. Yeah. 00:28:32 Speaker 6: So I talked about being a little nervous for this and being really excited, but the Terrell Davis wearing a quarter zip the first interview calmed me down. Like that I knew like we were in our element. We got to talk about him thinking food was overrated, so like it just kind of, I mean, it kind of became real at that moment. 00:28:46 Speaker 4: And then I talked about this on the postgame show. So I won't go into it as extensively here, But then we take him to the ESPN party where he's literally Shannon in a room with the president of esp. 00:28:59 Speaker 3: That's the guy digital business card too right there. 00:29:02 Speaker 4: Billy doesn't even talk to anyone in that room. Instead, he watches the Kentucky game on his phone and screams way to go Colin, with two different ESPN executives within three feet of it, and he is ex about the game, and most of them came over to meet us. Billy did not speak to them. Mario said hello, introduced himself to Burt Magnus, the president of ESPN. Billy is just over there going, come on, Repeachy, keep your head in again. This is when the most important people in the room were right next to our table and Billy hits the mic breen bang right before halftime with Colin Chandler, president of ESPN, walks by and Billy goes bye. 00:29:48 Speaker 5: Paulin Chandler, he was excited about the game. 00:29:52 Speaker 4: It's like that was that was your chance. I would have introduced you to them, although I was I met them for the first time. I could have been introduced you to them. 00:30:01 Speaker 6: Yeah, I probably should have done more networking at that event than I did, but I had a postgame show that we needed to talk about later. I thought I was doing my job. 00:30:09 Speaker 4: A little bit. Yeah. Yeah, there was about a fifteen minute period where you disappeared. Were you Were you going trying to talk to other coup Did you have a job interview during those things? 00:30:23 Speaker 6: No, I saw a couple of people I knew. 00:30:25 Speaker 4: Who do you know? 00:30:27 Speaker 6: Some people from one four to five to zone What is that? It's a station in Nashville that I turned at back in the day, so I got to see them. And then we talked about the people in Tampa that I got their digital business card from. But it probably just came out wrong yesterday. I'm not actively looking for a new job. 00:30:44 Speaker 4: Well, I mean we weren't the only ones that thought that. I think pretty much the whole audience thought that. 00:30:49 Speaker 6: Well, then I got a tom Hart shout outs during the game. 00:30:51 Speaker 4: Well, let's talk about Tom Hart. Tom Hart essentially made Billy his entire game call. Brought up quarter zips, up digital business cards, brought up brought up trying to get a new job. 00:31:04 Speaker 5: Billy, are you serious? 00:31:05 Speaker 4: After Billy, are you serious? He brought up lather, which I can't believe he said on national television that was in honor of. 00:31:13 Speaker 5: Ryan falling for stuff on Facebook. 00:31:16 Speaker 4: I mean he was on one yesterday. It was a Tom Hart legacy game. Billy was a huge part of that. 00:31:23 Speaker 6: I looked at my phone. He had mentioned me three times already and then tweeted mid game. I mean, there's nobody doing it like Tom. He is the best with his relationship with b b and it's it's special. 00:31:33 Speaker 4: And he I texted him after the game Shannon and said, you sure mentioned Billy a lot and that's awesome, and he goes, well, I have to help Billy get a new game. Yeah. 00:31:42 Speaker 3: You know Tom knows the people he used to get your. 00:31:46 Speaker 6: Yeah, he was. 00:31:48 Speaker 4: He was trying to help Billy have his chance and his dream, which is apparently getting away from us. 00:31:53 Speaker 5: There was a moment at the ESPN thing where it was just me and Billy and he had just found out that Tom Hart stuff. I was trying to get a little serious with him. I'm like, Billy, this is the hell of to day you're having. You like soaking it in because I mean, just as excited as you were for Radio Row and then you know we got there. We weren't even sure what the set was gonna look like, and then they had extra seat. You're up there with us and got to be a part of everything we did. So you had an incredible day. I'm I mean, I was happy for myself, but just as happy as you. 00:32:18 Speaker 4: So let's I do want to say that for a second, this was like your dream, Like you've talked about how you've wanted to be at this event, this Radio Row thing, like your entire life. 00:32:29 Speaker 6: Yeah, what was it like for you? Well, it meant a lot for you guys to include me, to allow me to ask questions, to talk to Mike Golick, the quarter Zip stuff like. I appreciate you guys looping me into that. It was really cool and surreal. I mean, I don't think it hit me for a while that I was there and really overwhelming. I don't know about you guys, but walking in and everybody there, it was just crazy. It was just crazy. But it was just a personal goal of mine. People may think Radio Row is cheesy, but that is always something I wanted to do. 00:32:56 Speaker 4: Yeah, screw those people. Like there's a lot of people that like been there, a lot that go, oh, this is like no it's not lame, it's awesome. It's I mean, if you get to the point in anything in life that's something cool and you're like, I don't care anymore, then you shouldn't be doing it, right, Like we get to we get paid to do the coolest things in the world, to come to the Super Bowl and sit and like do this. I mean, there's so much suffering in the world and we have been blessed to get a chance to like literally follow our dreams. These jaded sports writers, I want to tell them to all blank off, because like you could be you know, you could be doing a million days. You could be in the Sudan. I mean, you could be like working in something that like at least enjoy your blessings. And I appreciate that you enjoy your blessings and you deserve to get to sit on that set and uh, you deserve to the world to see your quartership. I mean, like that's the colors we're going with today. 00:33:59 Speaker 6: Oh, I got like a brown one. What's the other side of blue? It's a different shade of blue that I it's. 00:34:04 Speaker 4: Brown and blue. 00:34:05 Speaker 5: Okay, Oh well all right, that's a big time. 00:34:07 Speaker 4: Well if you're now UH Drew had a nice interaction at a urinal yesterday. This This is the top. 00:34:14 Speaker 5: Three moments in KOs our history for me, I've been. 00:34:16 Speaker 4: Waiting where well, let him tell it. If I'm nine two eight oh twenty two eighty seven, text machine is seventh seven two seven seven four five two five four. UH. Rob Dillingham was just traded to the UH Chicago Bulls it's probably good for him. He'll get to play, probably play through some of his mistakes, and he really has n't been able to get consistent run because Minnesota is too good. You know, it's been tough for him. He's only been in the league for two years and just already traded. It's unfortunate. Yeah, I thought he'd have a little bit of a slight breakout this season in year two. 00:35:33 Speaker 5: We just hadn't had his opportunities. He looked good last summer in the Summer League, and Wolves fans were getting excited, just wasn't getting the minute. So hopefully Chicago and the situation they're in will give an opportunity to show what he can do. 00:35:42 Speaker 4: Yeah. Uh, if I'm nine to two eight zero twenty two eighty seven, text machine is seven seven two seven seven four five two five four. All right, So you so for me, we don't know. Drew has hit one of his favorite athletes of all time. He's Derek Henry Derrick Henry King Henry, and you got to p with him. I did. 00:36:01 Speaker 5: I knew, Uh you put it that way. I knew he was on the premises. I knew there was an opportunity to meet Derrick Henry. But this is a very big convention center. I saw him from a distance a couple of times. I thought, you know what, I'll eventually he's massive, looks like do not want to mess with that guy? Yeah, I can confirm. But I go to the bathroom and it is a well. Matt was in there first. I guess I had more water, and Matt steps away, and I'm the only person in the row of journals. But then this guy stands directly next to me at the not even leaving one between us, which is bad etiquette, and I'm. 00:36:37 Speaker 4: Like, who is this? And I kind of just looked to my lis an empty bathroom, completely empty. 00:36:41 Speaker 5: And this person was big, and their shoulder was up against my shoulder, and I kind of had to lean to my right, like, dude, big bathroom here. And I look and it's Derrick Henry and it's just me and him there against the wall. And I thought, of all the places, this is the one place in this entire venue where I don't think I can speak to him anywhere else I would have gone up, said Derrick Henry, So is there any part of you. 00:37:03 Speaker 4: That I wanted to say to him? Because I agree with you. You cannot speak to someone while standing at the earth. 00:37:09 Speaker 5: Like, hey man, I have every I have your home away and alternate jersey. 00:37:12 Speaker 4: I mean this year got this would be I think the equivalent for me would be if I was at the Urinal and there was Ellie de la Cruz much. I mean, I've had years and years and years. Then how about Rod Brendamore. That's you know, goes back fifty you know. 00:37:28 Speaker 5: I drove to Kansas City to watch this man in the AFC Championship, countless Titans games, multiple jerseys, and my first time meeting him in person. We're both a little a little busy. 00:37:38 Speaker 4: Can't shake hands and then talked. I didn't. 00:37:40 Speaker 5: I just walked out and I kind of I was laughing because I was like, that is the most ridiculous thing that will happen this entire week. But I didn't get say hi to him. But I did in some can I call. 00:37:50 Speaker 6: It meeting him? 00:37:51 Speaker 4: I mean you met part of him. I wish this were a non live radio. I have so many jokes. You all even heard a few of them. I just better know you had a good one that I think everybody would like. 00:38:04 Speaker 5: Yeah, my friends have gotten here a lot of those. But I mean, my I guess I'm glad I got to see meet Derrick Henry. I'm gonna shut up. But all the places I meet him, there's one sacred area that I could not speak to him, and that's where we ran into each other. 00:38:20 Speaker 6: That happen to you? 00:38:21 Speaker 5: And also why did he go to the one right next to me? I think he wanted to there was a whole wall, take your pick. 00:38:27 Speaker 4: He was hoping to have a conversation. I think he saw the Titan shirt and he was like, let's do it. 00:38:34 Speaker 5: I was wearing a Titan shirt. 00:38:35 Speaker 4: Let's do uh, Let's do a test and see if he will speak to me. 00:38:38 Speaker 5: He would have won that test. I assume that, and you you did not do it. 00:38:42 Speaker 4: Now, another thing that's been interesting to watch, Mario has a crush on k Adams. Uh. Mario thinks k Adams that was not a denial of those Mario has For people who don't know. Kay Adams is a TV host. She's really beautiful and Mario has a thing for He talks about her a lot. It's Mario and Bronny, It's it's Kay Adams and Bronny. Those are the two people I think Mario Mario would leave us to date Kay Adams and to date Bronni. And she was there like one of the first people we saw when we walked in. And you know, sometimes you meet people and they're not like as attractive as they are on television, because television can make you look good, right. But Kay Adams, I will say objectively, is as beautiful in person, maybe more so. And like see, I'd never spoken to her, but seems like she would be nice, you know, seems like she'd be the kind of person's nice. I saw Mario when he first saw k Adams. 00:39:43 Speaker 5: And uh, he was like a little boy. 00:39:47 Speaker 4: He was. He was like a little boy that had gotten his first, like first magazine. It was like if if if a catalog had come into Male for Victorious. Secret. 00:40:00 Speaker 5: Isn't what a catalog is. 00:40:03 Speaker 4: He doesn't know what a catalog is. But he had that oh my and he and he did a little tony dungee tug on my on my jacket. Was like Adams, it's a big star. So we all have our people that get us excited. I now know, Uh, Mario's kryptonite Kadams. Yeah, uh ceedee. Lamb was at the desk. I took a picture of him with k Adams and a lot of people, and I mentioned thought CD was Mario in the picture they have I had several people, so maybe Mario can get him that care on day two, we need to try to get Mario a picture with k Adams because. 00:40:45 Speaker 5: Shaking his head, he's not even for you, Mario, I used. She used to be on the Good Morning Football that I watched, so I've watched her for years. We'll make it innocent TV talking. By the way, this is my friend Mario definitely single, so you. 00:40:57 Speaker 4: Can use that. Also. You know she in the morning sometimes with DeMarcus Cousins, so we know DeMarcus, so you could we could we could drop the the DeMarcus angle as well, and then we'll just step out of the way and and then we'll let magic happen. I think she's a little she's a lot older than you are, though, right, you could. That's okay, you got you got the game to make it happen. 00:41:19 Speaker 5: You know, when we walked by her set yesterday, I heard him lean over to Billy. He was like, hey, man, tell me about these digital business cards. 00:41:26 Speaker 4: I gotta. 00:41:28 Speaker 6: I've been putting myself out there, and it's time for Mario to get out there. 00:41:31 Speaker 4: Yeah, you've been putting yourself out there, have you. 00:41:33 Speaker 5: I just noticed Mario's chain he's got on. Is that a chain wallet with pearls? We can't match his style. 00:41:41 Speaker 4: Were always competing for second with with Mario. So well, a very fun first day. They say today is the best day because tomorrow some of the people are leaving, so they say today is the best day. So I mean, we don't we don't do our stuff till later this afternoon. But I may go down there just to feel the vibe. Yeah, just to feel the vibe because I'm I'm kind of in the vibe. 00:42:05 Speaker 5: We gotta get ready for our Christian Watson interview too. 00:42:07 Speaker 4: That's exactly right now. We're gonna take a break A five nine, two eight oh twenty two eighty seven billies going to the bathroom to get on the phone. That's never a good sign. This is KSR.
