00:00:53
Speaker 1: So how the hell we feel in here? Boys? Good? Yeah? Happy Brandy?

00:00:57
Speaker 3: Yep, there it is, Yeah, there it is, Yes, Happy Monday.

00:01:01
Speaker 1: I didn't have one of those this week? Oh wow? Really? Oh yeah?

00:01:05
Speaker 4: Oh yeah I did too, I had. I had quite a few. Actually, oh my gosh. We went to we went to Hermosa, to our usual Mexican spot on Sunday.

00:01:19
Speaker 1: Did you almost break your neck again? I was just in my head like us, yes, I'm still waiting for you to send a voice snow. Yes, yes, yeah, yes, like there was that.

00:01:31
Speaker 4: There was a moment where that I swear they were these they had to ben twins and they were old.

00:01:37
Speaker 1: They weren't. They were not young people. They were old.

00:01:40
Speaker 4: And I was like, holy moly, they have to be former volleyball, current volleyball enthusiasts.

00:01:48
Speaker 1: Yeah. They came walking in there, long and strong.

00:01:52
Speaker 5: Man.

00:01:52
Speaker 1: It was back. No really, not really. Not my eyes my eyes well hey look.

00:02:01
Speaker 4: Look, look, you gotta you gotta be able to read and react. My eyes will as as long as the Good Lord above feels it fit for my eyes to work. They will work. They will work, just won't get carried away. But I was in my head like, yes, well, hey man, the weather's starting to uh start to warm up.

00:02:23
Speaker 1: Yes it is.

00:02:24
Speaker 4: I've never really frequent that area when it was warm out. I've always, you know, the few times that we started, it's been in the wintertime. So I'm pretty curious as to what full out, full blown summer looks like on that little boardwalk area. You know, I don only imagine. Nah, I don't want to imagine. I just I'm curious, all right.

00:02:45
Speaker 1: You know what this weekend though clubs Augusta National.

00:02:49
Speaker 4: Yeah, God, you too, Mark every time, you too.

00:02:54
Speaker 1: Huh.

00:02:55
Speaker 4: This is the last time I have to hear the the wake music though, everybody until next year. Everyone out there that's listening that our Dan Patrick listeners.

00:03:06
Speaker 1: I call this at the Wake music by him? Him? Did this song at the wake? You know who wrote this song? I don't know.

00:03:18
Speaker 4: I don't know, but this is the viewing like you and you in the funeral home. You're saying hi to everyone, good to see you. Haven't seen you in twenty years. It's great to see you. There was a fine person. Then you go up to the box and you look in the box and you say you're final, goodbyes.

00:03:34
Speaker 1: That's this music. You know, I've got your answer. By the way, who is it who we got?

00:03:39
Speaker 3: The iconic Master Golf tournament theme song titled Augusta was written and recorded by singer songwriter Dave Loggins back in nineteen eighty one.

00:03:50
Speaker 1: Yeah there you go, all right, Yeah, it's his cousin.

00:03:53
Speaker 4: Third cousin though, what do you go, Dave third cousin on his daddy sat looking like, hey, Bible, he actually.

00:04:01
Speaker 1: Is a cousin of Kenny. Highway to the danger zone. There you go. They couldn't be further apart. By the way, once get you jacked up to go in a fighter jet to go fight, the other ones came down.

00:04:18
Speaker 2: I think Kenny Loggins did the What's why why am I blanket? On the Caddyshack theme song, So Kenny Logins did that one as well too, so very uh, very golf centric.

00:04:30
Speaker 1: Are those Loggins boys good for that man? All right?

00:04:34
Speaker 3: Now, we won't have any problems with Rory winning the Masters, No, I mean I didn't. Jonas is a hater and he's going to find a.

00:04:44
Speaker 4: Way to to uh devalue the fact that his guy that he picked out of the hask, one which I wanted, Harry, I wanted, by the way, I want it favor.

00:04:57
Speaker 2: For people that know on our show, the we draw names out of a hat and then that's how we determined who's going to win the Masters or who were going to be rooting for to win the Masters, I pulled Rory.

00:05:07
Speaker 1: I didn't think he could go back to back. I didn't.

00:05:10
Speaker 2: I sure surely didn't think he could potentially go wire to wire, even though he coughed up the lead, uh six shot going into the weekend. But I mean, congratulations, Uh, Scotty Scheffler's unbelievable And I knew once Scotti what hey, what happened?

00:05:26
Speaker 1: Yeah? Thanks Mark, Dave? Thanks thanks Mark, Hey Dave, you're still playing?

00:05:32
Speaker 2: Oh God, Jesus, Really, if that was Kenny, he would have continued on Mark, come on, man, we got the wrong loggins. But when Scotty Scheffler mass with Scotti Scheffler the uh, I think it was like his third straight birdie attempt. I think on seventeen you could tell he knew, yeah, that's a big one, that that was going to cost him and ultimately uh lost by stroke.

00:06:01
Speaker 3: I think one of the things that I appreciate the most about that tournament. I mean, one, it's the same course, it's Christine. We've talked about all that. Also, there's a big scoreboard on seventeen, so when you're walking up you know exactly where you are and where you need to be. So as he's approaching seventeen, like Scotty knows what he needs to do, and on top of that, for Rory when he gets there, he's got an idea of where.

00:06:27
Speaker 1: They're at too.

00:06:28
Speaker 3: Now you can always say, hey, people might be you know, telling them what the scores are at or keeping him aware of it. But it's another thing too to kind of look up, see the scoreboard, see who's kind of marching in behind. Because you did get a sense at one point, I want to say it was maybe after twelve or thirteen that Scotty had a.

00:06:43
Speaker 1: Shot and he was making a run.

00:06:45
Speaker 3: It would have been interesting to see what Rory would have done or responded if Scotty could have tied it up, got even closer. I think he got closest within one shot maybe.

00:06:55
Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, one shot but not enough. No, it was.

00:07:00
Speaker 4: Here were my takeaways, the fact that Rory joined three other three other golfers major gold golfers and Nicholas Faldo and obviously Eldrick. Uh only four players?

00:07:15
Speaker 1: Better include Ilude Eldrick, Eldrick taunt Woods.

00:07:21
Speaker 2: Uh, you better include Waymo next time and Waymouh Eldrick's Eldrick's arch nemesis.

00:07:28
Speaker 4: Somebody that's going to get them home safely on the road. They actually are the only ones to ever repeat out Augusta, which led me to my my next takeaway, which was the fact that Rory had to come into this this situation knowing what the pressure was to to obviously repeat be a completess of of the Grand Grand Grand Slams. I thought it was pretty interesting because the mental I can only imagine as a football player former football player, the stress and feelings you had mentally before a game. How that feels, especially the bigger the games get. But you're by yourself and golf, right, it's you versus the course, is you versus your equipment, it's you versus your swing, it's you versus It's just so many different things that you got to take into consideration. And the fact that he managed it in a way where having such a dominant start but then eventually almost giving it away. I mean, like we said, he only won by by one stroke, So I thought that was pretty impressive. And listen, I watched it, but I didn't watch it right like I had it on.

00:08:43
Speaker 1: But it's just I don't know.

00:08:46
Speaker 4: It feels like this music, it feels like I should have this music playing when I'm watching it.

00:08:53
Speaker 2: I think the most noteworthy bit about Rory winning this weekend was the fact that he was able to overcome that awful Master's dinner that he put together. Awful, I mean, and way to take a shot at Ireland, you know, and say, well, you know, I wanted them to enjoy it too. That's why it include any Irish dishes. It's just disrespectful. But he was able to persevere and next thing you know, he's got the Green Jackiet again.

00:09:18
Speaker 1: So congratulations story.

00:09:20
Speaker 3: So I do want to bring to light one thing, and this was probably one of the things that a lot of the.

00:09:24
Speaker 1: Haters had an issue with.

00:09:27
Speaker 3: So Mark or Patty Sweet, if you could there's some sound after Warrior, I believe was already up at that minus twelve. Mark, maybe after day two or day three, if you could play it.

00:09:38
Speaker 2: Yeah, as long as we take his music off, come on, Dave's in his in his groove right now.

00:09:43
Speaker 1: You talk like you know him. Is he even still alive?

00:09:45
Speaker 6: Dave Loggins, I honestly just don't like the three tournaments leading up to this event. I'd rather come up here, you know. I did a couple of days where I dropped Poppy to school, flew up here, played, landed back home, had dinner with or had dinner with Eric, and probably like I did a couple of day trips like that where I felt like that was a better use of my time then going to Houston or San Antonio. So it wasn't really about conserving energy, but I just I felt, you know, the more time I could spend up here, the better.

00:10:18
Speaker 3: So this is the issue that some purest some people have with it, is you're a part of the PGA Tour. Yeah, you're going to take off, you know, a few weeks ahead of time, basically to prepare for the majors. And I guess golf's unique in the sense that we oftentimes don't remember guys who win a lot of tournaments.

00:10:36
Speaker 1: We remember guys who went.

00:10:37
Speaker 3: A lot of the Big four, right, all of the major tournaments. Like that's what we like remember the most, for that's what their legacies are built off of. And I think there's some people who feel like it's a bit unfair if he's able to pull himself out of these other tournaments and then has access has the ability to just essentially prepare for.

00:10:58
Speaker 1: A major like this. I mean, I look at it and just say, I'm not really.

00:11:01
Speaker 3: Sure there's an equivalent in any other professional sport where you could do something like this. Maybe you'd say it would be like joining an NFL team in the AFC Championship Game and playing a game or two, or maybe just a Super Bowl and getting a ring. Like maybe that's the equivalent of how you'd look at this, But oh, Eric, I tend to think, what's that, Eric Weddle.

00:11:22
Speaker 4: It's even a little different than that, though, because if you're preparing for a golf a golf outing, you get to prepare against the course. Now maybe you don't know the weather conditions could be different, but the terrain of it most likely, I mean obviously like the curves and the bins and all that stuff like that. I mean, that's you get to prepare for something like if it's the NFL, it's by wins, right, So you really, if you think about it, you would what do you say, like two to three weeks to prepare?

00:11:50
Speaker 1: Is that what he was saying?

00:11:51
Speaker 3: And like I said, he was And by the way, not a lot of other golfers have the ability to necessarily do that, either the access or just the the ability to kind of do whatever they want, and he's one of the few that does right now because he's been such a big piece of basically keeping the PGA Tour together, in particular during a time where you were having guys plucked away by the Live tour. He is he has stood as the road he's kept, He's kept the whole thing together to the point where now the PGA Tour has been able to survive us. So I just I look at it. I look at it, and I just say to myself, you know, this is one of those instances where I don't have an issue with it.

00:12:30
Speaker 1: I think the course sets up well for Rory. I thought he looked more relaxed. He's played probably his best golf in a major.

00:12:37
Speaker 3: Event compared to years past, because he did feel like he had that monkey on his back, and once he got it off last year, it looked like he's finally playing up to his capabilities.

00:12:47
Speaker 4: Yeah, I thought I thought it was interesting because when you get to that one stretch, well, they said the twelve thirteenth for him, where he birdied birdie back to back, and then the idea of it is is that's that moment where do you do you stop the bleeding, or do you? Or do you bleed out and let the field catch you and run run over you? And then next thing you know is like, hey, you know he won the last one. It's no big deal. Keep it moving. That's what takes place, you golf guy. No, I'm really not a golf guy. Come on, I'm not a golf guy. But anyway, he did pull himself together, he did get it right, and it is c yes.

00:13:29
Speaker 1: As close as it was. Oh no, yes, no. By the way, Dave Loggins passed away in twenty twenty four. Wait or have it in there you go.

00:13:40
Speaker 4: I'm just saying you was on the phone, he's in studio.

00:13:44
Speaker 1: Show well, I mean what you're talking about.

00:13:46
Speaker 2: I mean, you know, since he passed the music keeping it going, I mean the music works.

00:13:56
Speaker 3: By the way, this is one of our favorite things to do on two pros and a couple. Joe is sending you on us up for failure by basically allowing him to say something about someone who we know is not alive.

00:14:07
Speaker 1: That's all right.

00:14:07
Speaker 4: You should see this man's two pay on the seven hundred club right now?

00:14:12
Speaker 1: Oh is that Pat Robinson's son?

00:14:14
Speaker 4: Because he's sure enough at his head like geez Monetti's seven hundred club took a new meaning seven hundred pennies in your head?

00:14:30
Speaker 1: Why that's his head so big? Anyways, back to golf. We had a hole in one, sure did. There was a hole in one, sure did? How about it? Yeah?

00:14:42
Speaker 2: Sure did took place. Yeah it was nicest toad. The weather didn't have an impact on it. There was no rainy days or anything like that to worry about. And you know, people just gotta sweat their ass off in Georgia and watch some high quality golf.

00:14:58
Speaker 4: There was almost a twenty five year old that one baby age young age you almost wanted. And guess what is now? His last name happens to be young? Oh Cam, how about it?

00:15:17
Speaker 1: How about it? Man?

00:15:17
Speaker 4: So you know there were there were some interesting storylines connected to the golf.

00:15:22
Speaker 1: Outing wasn't all born? Yeah? Well Rory winning though? Was that? I mean?

00:15:28
Speaker 4: I obviously I made it very clear I would have liked to pull Rory out of the hat.

00:15:33
Speaker 1: I didn't.

00:15:33
Speaker 4: But it's a Jonas NOx show to everybody out there that's listening, Like me and Brady are merely contributors and support to Jonas Uh the.

00:15:43
Speaker 1: Big Star of the show.

00:15:44
Speaker 4: And well when Lynx and when Joni Lynx uh picked picked his player, you know his his new and uh very very cooperative show producer made sure that he got Rory McElroy.

00:15:58
Speaker 2: Yeah, that's just how it worked. Brady gave that Moniker years ago. We were talking golf and you know your stuff.

00:16:05
Speaker 3: No, what I recall is back when we used to have a guest that would come on named Live Bet Jesus. He would always find a way, like for example of live betting, I don't know the Masters with Rory before his final put on eighteen, he'd bet.

00:16:19
Speaker 1: Him to win it.

00:16:20
Speaker 3: Those would be the type of odds that typically Live Bet Jesus would would take place. And it's it's irally similar to how Jonahs bets. Jonahs tries to get the favorites. There's never really a lot of value in a lot of his picks. He's just purely looking for any thing he can try to hang his hat on, and.

00:16:34
Speaker 1: Somehow he still loses that often. Really sure how it.

00:16:37
Speaker 4: Happened, Oh right, Rory would have lost if Bet Jesus bet on him winning.

00:16:41
Speaker 2: That's I live, I live bet Scottie Shaffleer yesterday, I would let you go.

00:16:45
Speaker 1: Literally four minutes later, he misses a putt. Well, there you go.

00:16:49
Speaker 2: If I bet, If I bet a horse who had a two length lead to win the Kentucky Derby, he would lose at back three. He'd get hit by a sniper before he got to the finish line. I can't win a bet. It's shocking.

00:17:01
Speaker 1: Look at that.

00:17:02
Speaker 3: You're gonna be walking in to work one day fully nude, because you're not gonna have any shirt on your back at this point.

00:17:09
Speaker 1: That's all right, you know, trying to say anything.

00:17:11
Speaker 3: Lvar is gonna look over at you and say, what happened? No, Patty, Patty's gonna give you his hat. It's gonna cover up your entire body. I will not be doing the show. I will not be doing the show.

00:17:25
Speaker 1: Hat today, buddy.

00:17:26
Speaker 4: Oh, by the way, happy happy birthday, Patty.

00:17:32
Speaker 1: Yeah. How was your dinner, Patty? Patty? No, Hattie Patty like that? That was really good dinner, though, guys? Was it? Yeah? Honestly, Delilah's was a ten out of ten? That right, you went to Arby's. What I didn't see you went to Arby's. I thought you maybe had roast beef at some point some chipped beef. No got the meats. Boom boom boom boom No no, no, no.

00:18:02
Speaker 2: Man had somebster roll had some pasta los roll on, you had some crustaceans.

00:18:13
Speaker 1: What did you set? Someone's trying to set the mood there? Huh? Did you get on that liver loop a little bit? Yeah? A little bit? Yeah? I had some wine a little bit.

00:18:21
Speaker 3: It sounds romantic. Now, hold on, hold on, Patty. Who did you go with Lorena?

00:18:26
Speaker 1: Huh? Okay? Who else? Just me and her? All right? Oh? Really? Now, had you been to Delilah's before? No, that's that would be a first for me. Who chose Delilahs Loreena? Actually, what I did tell you?

00:18:54
Speaker 2: Biblically speaking, you do know what Delilah represents in the Bible, right in the nineteenth onies, the nineteen twenty.

00:19:02
Speaker 1: That's the theme of that restaurant.

00:19:05
Speaker 4: No, bro, if you don't know, you're going to be a victim before you were a victim, victimization is even better to witness.

00:19:13
Speaker 1: All. I don't know what you're talking about. Go read the Bible, look up the lad I just hope you had a happy birthday.

00:19:18
Speaker 4: But and you're strong, You're built strong, like you can push columns down with no eyes in your head, right, burnt out.

00:19:27
Speaker 1: Don't worry about it over your head right, getting biblical. Yeah, yeah, don't worry about it though. Man looks like a strong young man, bro, I'm.

00:19:36
Speaker 3: Sure you'd like to add there, Jonas Man, you got Jonas just to try to backpedal out of the situation. He's like, let me get to a read here.

00:19:46
Speaker 1: Yeah, I read.

00:19:49
Speaker 2: Hey, Hey, I just hope you had a good time, you know, but I just that's I'm sure he did.

00:19:55

00:22:14
Speaker 1: There's no light in the building. There's no light.

00:22:16
Speaker 2: And we found out last time we filled in that our cars almost got towed. Yea, because people were not happy with where we parked. Yeah, so we had to park a little bit of ways. That was made very clear up in the structures. Yeah, but we persevered.

00:22:29
Speaker 1: Yeah, we did. It's what we did.

00:22:31
Speaker 2: By the way, We've got something coming up a little over fifteen minutes from now. It's called in case you missed it, that'll be yours right here on FSR. But right now, though, it is time for the tire rack play of the day.

Speaker 1: Stands behind the golf bawl and is set. It's a tap in. It's back to back for McElroy. Rory has done it again. Musenal Masters Radio on the call.

00:23:04

No more of this got to play sixty five load management crap. All that is out the window. The NBA playoffs are here. And with that, we've got to say congratulations to Michel Bridges. Okay, who's got a consecutive games played streak.

00:23:52
Speaker 1: It's impressive.

00:23:54
Speaker 2: A lot of games, a grueling twenty three second appearance yesterday to keep the streak, a lot of games.

00:24:01
Speaker 1: But he is six hundred and thirty eight consecutive.

00:24:06
Speaker 2: Yeah, six hundred thirty eight, which is puts him in pretty decent company. He's eighth longest NBA history right now. And maybe there's some people that might not like the fact that he, you know, got in for twenty three seconds just to keep this streak going. But you know what, in a league that does have load management issues and superstars that are not playing, can I just say this. There was a fan who held up a sign that said they traveled from Europe to come see Wemby play.

00:24:33
Speaker 1: And he ended up not playing.

00:24:35
Speaker 2: Okay, Hey, you know what, if you planned your trip around seeing that win puppet run up and down the court, then you need to get better friends, and you need to get one of the things to do. Don't don't don't map your entire vacation around Wenby playing in a game some other things. That's a perk. It's not what you build your vacation around. I'm sorry. Why travel internationally?

00:25:00
Speaker 1: Hopefully they at.

00:25:00
Speaker 4: Least got to see him, potentially meet him, say hello, get an autograph, whatever.

00:25:06
Speaker 2: He's from there, he's a euro Okay, well, how is that any different than you flying to go see a Cubs game. Yeah, but I'm not bitching if somebody doesn't play.

00:25:16
Speaker 3: Yeah, he also choose to go at the beginning of the season, and you also lose a lot too.

00:25:20
Speaker 4: You're you're used to being disappointed. Some people still get bothered by being the second. You got a lot of balls coming to me. After Jony Lynx called Rory McElroy to win the Masters.

00:25:32
Speaker 1: I did make sure you got it. You picked out of a hat.

00:25:34
Speaker 4: Yeah, my hattie sweets made sure he got the Rory McRoy.

00:25:39
Speaker 1: I nearly fell in that hat to try and get away, to.

00:25:43
Speaker 3: Take it one step further than mckel Bridges did. You guys see how he got out of the game but foul. He literally committed a fouls to get out. What it was like, Yeah, twenty three seconds was actually too long for him to be in the game, like he wanted to tip.

00:25:58
Speaker 1: Ball to go out of bounds. I'm out of here as long as it's in.

00:26:03
Speaker 3: First off, I'm not trying to take anything away from cal Bridges. I do think there should be something some caveats. If you're gonna start, you gotta play at least the first quarter at least like certain duration of time. I mean twenty three seconds, Like, are we really considering this a start?

00:26:22
Speaker 1: Yeah, that's where we're at. Yes, Yeah, I have to say it.

00:26:26
Speaker 4: I hate to do it, but yeah, man, he has not missed a start since getting drink.

00:26:31
Speaker 1: I get that. I'm saying, I don't know.

00:26:34
Speaker 3: Okay, So if he did the same thing for six hundred and thirty eight games straight, you'd be okay with that.

00:26:39
Speaker 4: No, I would not. It would not have the type of meaning, it would not hold the type of value. But he's a player of value, and you understood that he's an iron man. He's like on that that.

00:26:51
Speaker 1: Yeah, I recall you your type.

00:26:53
Speaker 3: And by the way, with Jonas has a great conspiracy theory about Caldrippn Junior that I think you should Yeah, yeah, why couldn't you just pull Jonnas?

00:27:03
Speaker 5: Yeah?

00:27:04
Speaker 1: Why not? I don't want to hand out false information. Who's your bigger d you bet? Richard Gear? Is it Richard Gear? Or is it? Or is it the guy you're about to bring up? Mister Kostler?

00:27:15
Speaker 6: Wait?

00:27:15
Speaker 4: Why, I don't know, Like a movie in movies, you know, they're like first nights, and I'll take your lady type stuff, a pretty woman. You know.

00:27:25
Speaker 1: There's your Yeah, there's your segue. What happened? Well, I just wouldn't like to point this out.

00:27:31
Speaker 2: In defense of Mickel Bridges, Josh Allen did something similar.

00:27:36
Speaker 1: He's got a one hundred and thirty nine.

00:27:37
Speaker 2: Consecutive start streak and week eighteen, I believe this past year he came in and handed the ball off or took a knee or something like that, just to keep the streak going. Good for him, handed off to Mitch Trubisky. To Mitch Trubisky.

00:27:51
Speaker 1: Yeah, mit, Mitch took the ball and finished the game, had a good game off to it. Okay, But why did Cayle Ripken miss almost miss?

00:28:00
Speaker 2: Look, this is I'm not I want to be clear on this. This is not my story. This is one of these old rumors that get started. But since we're on the topic and you guys brought it up on, we go ahead and dust it off and.

00:28:15
Speaker 1: Bring this back up.

00:28:16
Speaker 2: So there was some speculation that in order to keep cal Ripkin's consecutive streaks start going, or consecutive start streak going rather, that they might have had, you know, to do some things. You know, maybe there would be you know, hey, the ground was too wet, or the lights went out in the stadium or something like that. Like there's been all sorts of stuff because he played so many games in a row. And one of the stories and one of the rumors that was out there that has been shot down by people surrounding the story is that Kevin Costner and cal Ripkin became friends because Kevin Costner was doing that movie was it for Love of the Game or something like that, and he was working with cal Ripkin to you know, to learn the process of being a major league baseball player.

00:29:05
Speaker 1: Cal Ripkin.

00:29:07
Speaker 2: Went to the stadium and then realized, you know, he had forgotten something, went back to his house and got back to the house that had Kevin Costner is still a you want to go scuba. Kevin Costner and Missus Ripkin might have been in the middle of something.

00:29:30
Speaker 1: I don't know what that's something is. But again this is there was a conversation.

00:29:34
Speaker 2: So what what how it ties into Fox Sports Radio is that the story was being told. The rumor was being told. Kevin Costner was listening to Fox Sports. How cool is that called in? It was like a Saturday. He's driving around on a Saturday and he called in to dismiss the rumors, call it a bunch of bs et cetera, et cetera. And so that's why the story applies to Fox Sports Radio. He is a good looking man. I mean, look, and Chyle Ripkins is a good looking man too. That's an impressive dude man. You know, I don't know if he's as good looking as Kevin Costner. I personally believe, I do not believe the story. I'd also like to say this about Kevin Coster. He is in a bunch of movies that I love. JFK. Field of Dreams, all Right, Bull Durham Tin Cup probably the greatest golf movie of all time. Kevin Costner has got a damn good resume film wise and other. And you know, he's an eight oh five guy. I think he lived up in Carpenteria for a while. It is an absurdity to put a player in for a short amount of time and listen, I would give Hiq a hard time. It is absurd to put somebody in to keep a streak alive. If you're not going to play him, then you should at least played him the regular amount of minutes he would have played, or something abbreviated in pulling him out, like don't make it, don't make it so obvious. Like you got guys like say Kwon Barkley who chose to sit out entirely for the sake of the team and for the sake of what they were trying to accomplish as a team. I personally think that having the opportunity to create milestones for yourself, if you've created that, it's something that the team and the coaching staff is aware of. I get it, but don't dummy it down. Don't bastardize it by putting a guy in for twenty three seconds and then pulling him out. I tend to follow that, and then also a question I would throw at you guys, does this create unnecessary pressure on a guy? I remember when I folded up Brett Favre nice and neatly folded him up, real nice and sent him on over to the to the sideline to be on the sideline. That would have that injury that he received that game, if not for a a bye week, would have broke his streak. I would have broke Brett Favre's starting streak.

00:32:20
Speaker 1: Was it a dirty hit? No it was not. No, it was not. I mean, you take great joy in those hits stuff I do. I do. I love it.

00:32:28
Speaker 4: Those are my memories. Like my best memories was when I got quarterbacks and I got a wall of them. You know, I got a wall. I got a wall of you know. Some guys have sacks and they put up you know, headstones and all that stuff. But I would some people. Yeah, I was. I was taking bodies and another What real?

00:32:49
Speaker 1: What happened in the break? What happened? What tell me what you know? What to say?

00:32:59
Speaker 4: You know?

00:33:04
Speaker 2: According to AI, no scalp Patty still got his AI is crediting Errington and Jeremiah Trotter, who sandwiched Farv, with Arrington being credited with the twelve yard sack.

00:33:18
Speaker 4: Yeah, he deserves no credit on that play. It was he scavenged. I had him.

00:33:25
Speaker 1: He crawled in for the town. I mean, I know how you guys do. You can hear they're crawling up there trying to get a hind. I got that's half sack.

00:33:32
Speaker 4: Yeah, he threw his body onto the situation. But the damage was already being done. I had already got ahold of him. I had already rolled him up, properly, flipped him, rubbed him up, laced him up. The silver Fox was done, and Trotter jumped on it and was like came down to the ground with us.

00:33:53
Speaker 1: He went down to the ground with us. It was he had nothing to do with it.

00:33:58
Speaker 2: Yeah, hey, you know what, mikeel you got to play twenty three seconds to keep a streak alive.

00:34:03
Speaker 1: Do what you gotta do. Man, the NBA has got bigger problems.

00:34:06
Speaker 4: I mean, okay, but again, let you guys in an answer to question, does that create unnecessary pressure on a guy?

00:34:13
Speaker 3: It's kind of similar to what we were just talking about Rory, Like if you're not doing it and going through the process like everyone else, like the people are there going to have an issue with it, Like in this case, if you're not really actually playing, you're just going out there for the start of the game, then subbing out, is that really how I should qualify? I mean, look, maybe there's some other starts where it was like that at times to keep the streak alive.

00:34:36
Speaker 1: But I don't know.

00:34:38
Speaker 3: I mean, if if you've gotten this far, I think you'd want to feel like it was legitimate.

00:34:42
Speaker 4: I could see if he was injured, right Like I could see if the man had something falling off of them or high ankle sprain and he went out there and he crossed somebody over past it and then they pulled him out. I get that but the man is perfectly healthy. I don't see why you put him in for twenty three seconds to the out just to be able to say he started.

00:35:02
Speaker 1: I just I don't you know it.

00:35:05
Speaker 4: Just to me, there's something to that, like being an iron man like means that being an iron man like I think of like Sam Mills, I think of guys like Kyle Ripken, I think guys like you know.

00:35:20
Speaker 3: So let me let me draw a little attention to some of the other players that are up for this, right, I believe A. C.

00:35:28
Speaker 1: Green has the record.

00:35:29
Speaker 3: Oh yeah, and and by the way, if Mickel Bridges breaks out, even with going in for twenty three seconds, more power to him.

00:35:37
Speaker 1: What are you talking about? Keep his virginity? Oh? The games? Yeah, the games? All right, I'm sorry, I'm just Jerry Curl with fire as head A Green, A C. Green, I started Eve games. Here's no more. Yeah, go ahead.

00:35:54
Speaker 3: Randy Smith was before that, nine hundred and six Johnny Redkurr, which obviously that could have been the way close in the last fifty years.

00:36:01
Speaker 1: Exactly.

00:36:02
Speaker 3: Yeah, he was from nineteen fifty four to nineteen sixty five. As you start to comb through this list, you know, you notice like the contemporary I would say it would be like Andre Miller or John Stockton. Yeah, like those are the contemporaries that are a part of this list.

00:36:17
Speaker 1: Andre Miller was was tough boy. Yeah, he was Utah, he was a big you know. Tayshawn Prince is a Karl alone. But these but if you.

00:36:26
Speaker 3: Look at it from that perspective, you'd have to ask yourself, like, it's just a it's a different league.

00:36:31
Speaker 4: Those are Hall of famers too, you're naming you know what I mean? Like, is Michael Bridge as a Hall of Famer?

00:36:37
Speaker 1: I mean with basketball? Who knows? You just never know.

00:36:40
Speaker 3: I'm not I'm not getting to that. I just think you look at the eras in which it was a much more physical era back then.

00:36:48
Speaker 4: But to me, when the record matters more, if greatness is connected to you being.

00:36:54
Speaker 3: For sure for sure, But like, could he do this in those prior decades, in those prior eras, that's a be.

00:37:00

00:38:23
Speaker 2: Guys, I don't know if you saw this, but they unveiled a statue for each your row up in Seattle.

00:38:29
Speaker 1: And broke that man's bat. Unbelievable, Like, what are you doing? Man?

00:38:34
Speaker 2: Why why is it so difficult to figure out the statue game? There's like, how many times have we done stories about these statues? Like Dwayne Wade's statue look like somebody lit it on fire halfway and they're like, oh god, it's melting all right, quick, quick, hose it off and they just rolled it out and even he says like, yeah, this is not great. And then White loved it.

00:39:00
Speaker 4: Video he looked at it inside they were like, yeah, dad, Yeah, we got a statue I.

00:39:05
Speaker 1: Think everyone should use. Is a Christian Ronaldo's guy. Oh yeah.

00:39:11
Speaker 3: He allows for the person they are making the statue of to be much more involved in the process.

00:39:17
Speaker 2: Yeah, because there was another Ronaldo statue that came out and it did not look good.

00:39:24
Speaker 1: It was not very flattering.

00:39:25
Speaker 3: Well, there was one that was bad, but all of them have had one thing in common. I mean, it looks like someone put a duffel bag in those shorts. Oh yeah, he's, he's He's continually keep perpetuating that.

00:39:39
Speaker 4: So I'll tell you who does some good statues. Brian Handling.

00:39:47
Speaker 1: Oh, check out his work. Next time you go to the Rose. You got a statue guy, now, yeh, next time you go to the Rose, Taylor's how much time we got left? More way to get us out of this? Get us out of a second.

00:40:03
Speaker 3: On a separate note, Michel Bridges has played like six seconds four seconds the past few years when you look through his final game of the season.

00:40:10
Speaker 4: But he also didn't miss games at Villanova, like it is his lifestyle to play every game, even if it's only for a couple of seconds.

00:40:25
Speaker 3: Good for you, But that's it's only been the last game of the season for the past few years.

00:40:29
Speaker 4: And maybe that's just saying that you know what he wants to play. They don't want to play him. So if you're not going to play me, at least give me my my log time because I do want to play.

00:40:41
Speaker 1: Like, I get that. I'm not mad at him for that.

00:40:45
Speaker 4: But if you go to the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, let me look at this up because I was there. Yeah, well, and he's a dope dude too, by the way, I had an opportunity to spend some time with him multiple times. But let me tell you something. He did the scope, the sculptor, He did the sculpt What is its sculpture?

00:41:04
Speaker 1: Yeah, Archie Griffin is fire and I was.

00:41:09
Speaker 4: I was honored enough to be a guest to to the unveiling. It was pretty cool, man. But I mean, it looks just like the Archie that was winning Autumn Heisman. You talked to him about getting a leap done.

00:41:21
Speaker 1: No, there's no leap.

00:41:23
Speaker 6: No.

00:41:24
Speaker 1: Sorry, it's not about me, about a sculpting, all right. And if you got.

00:41:30
Speaker 3: A sculptor guy, if you're a hype of a sculptor guy, I think there you're trying to angling for it.

00:41:35
Speaker 1: You're trying to put that sculpture somewhere
