Now Here's Matt Jones. 00:01:05 Speaker 4: Welcome back our number two Kentucky Sports Radio. If I'm nine two eight oh twenty two eighty seven, the text machine is seven seven two four five two five four. Uh. Somebody named Jamie Shaw, who is with Rivals, says Kentucky has Sebastian Ransick on campus from Colorado. You're a big fan of his. 00:01:27 Speaker 2: I gotta admit I don't know who that is, or I couldn't have told you who he played for last year. 00:01:32 Speaker 4: I was another example though, of the randomness of the text machine knowing something. Yesterday, I got a message Sebastian Ransick is coming tomorrow and that's all it said. And the number had never sent a message besides that. Huh. So I called our guys and asked him to look into it, and they couldn't get confirmation, so we let it go. But random number knew knew he was coming in. Do you believe, by the way that, now that everything's gone, do you believe the blue Kia story. Let me give you the facts that we know are true. We know that he was on the flight. The person said they were, yes, and we know that was the time of morning. Yes. And we know that even though other people disputed he was right that the person left at that time. Do you believe he was in a blue Kia. 00:02:17 Speaker 2: I can believe it was a blue Kiya. I don't believe it was a beat up, dirty, bad looking blue Kiya. 00:02:22 Speaker 4: So you're gonna take away the beat up. 00:02:23 Speaker 2: I'm gonna take away with maybe a brand new, nights looking blue Kia. 00:02:28 Speaker 4: I heard sources were going everywhere on the Kia that there was somebody at UK, like an equipment manager that sometimes takes people, yeah, because he's not officially employed or something, and that that person might drive a blue Keya. 00:02:42 Speaker 2: And I'm sure it looks nice. He keeps it up date. He's a young college man. Of course he's going to keep his car cleaning. 00:02:48 Speaker 4: But took out a life of its owners, no doubt. 00:02:51 Speaker 2: Because people people ran with the narrative it was a beat up, old blue Kia. That's we didn't know that. I think people just started making that. 00:02:57 Speaker 4: Just thought people would think it was Like you know, Shannon, we used to do the what was it nine to seven three winkie face like we would just like if people said things on text machines, we'd laugh and be like, oh, it could be true that you apparently can't do that online. Now everybody's a reporter, so everybody's so you. 00:03:14 Speaker 2: See something, people believe it, but you're like you said, your other information they sent you was that. 00:03:18 Speaker 4: They sent the rants. Somebody sent the ransic thing and that ended up being correct. But uh, okay, a couple of things. KSR Golf Scramble. We have a few open teams left. Go to w l ap dot com and sign up. It is May twenty ninth, Is that right? May twenty ninth is the KSR Golf Scramble. It is going to be a lot of fun. It's at the UK courses this year always one of the most fun days we have, especially the Lexington one. So go to ks go to h w LAP dot com KSR Golf Scramble, if you Google search it, get your team in. We have a handful of We're over two courses, so we have more teams available this year, so if you've never played, uh, come and enjoy it. And I believe that'll be the first day that Drew is back as well from his uh from from paternity leave. 00:04:05 Speaker 2: So this little looks and is scrambled. I'm so happy they've got it now split up on these two courses because it's a fun day. 00:04:11 Speaker 4: It's people with that and by spreading the weights won't be as long spread out over two courses, so it'll be uh, should be a lot of fun. Go to w L A P and go ahead and get into the KSR golf scramble. All right, real, let's before I go back phone, let's talk about what happened to Chevy Chase thing. All right, So, for those of you that missed yesterday, they want to put rehabilitation facility. It is zoned that the builders of it say it's going to be for eating disorders. But as I understand it, the the whatever deed, I don't words that are legal. How would I know that? They don't limit it to it. So right now it will be for eating disorders, but people are worried like they could end up putting other things in there. 00:04:52 Speaker 2: I think even the city Countain and they said eating or mental health disorder. 00:04:56 Speaker 4: Okay, so it's not for alcohol and drug no, so it would be eating or mental health. 00:05:02 Speaker 2: I believe that's how they applied. 00:05:04 Speaker 4: Well to me, that's even more okay. But regardless we yesterday talked about it, Ryan did not want to take a position, because, like a weasel politician that he is, he tried to get out of it, and then we made him. We stayed on him. That's what the press has to do, shand him to these times. You got to stay on him. They try to weasel out of it, and you got to stay on him. And then he finally came in a position I said, I thought, look, you know, assuming they meet safety in all these requirements neighborhoods, the sort of way we do this should spread out over the city. We shouldn't just put these in poor neighborhoods or away from the public. The Chevy Chase meeting, which we had talked about, became the Chevy Chase on Matt's text machine meet. The amount of messages I got, including from people that I think seemed to be kind people, but were very a couple of common themes. Number One, they wanted me to say that this is right across the street or within a couple hundred feet from a school that was very important to people. Right what school is is it close to? 00:06:13 Speaker 2: Is it the cast of the elementary school or middle school? 00:06:16 Speaker 4: But it was close to a school, and you know what school it. 00:06:19 Speaker 2: Is is that Catholic school there, the elementary school, the Catholic school. Is it elizabeth An Seaton? I think so they were. 00:06:24 Speaker 4: They're like, you didn't say that, and that's not fair not to say so I am saying. That does not change my opinion really at all. If they if if it's good enough for a neighborhood, then I think it's good enough for school. Plus when you consider how many schools there are, you know, you know what, like like sometimes they'll do with gun things. They'll be like if it's so many feet from a school, and if you make that big enough, the whole city becomes that, right, right, So that doesn't change my calculus much does it change yours? 00:06:55 Speaker 5: No? 00:06:55 Speaker 2: And I even did a little more research after the show last night to find exactly where this facility is. And it's in that little shopping area like behind what Wheeler's Pharmacy. Like there's already businesses where this is going to be located on Duke Road. 00:07:09 Speaker 4: So they already have a parking lot. 00:07:11 Speaker 2: Apparently parking lot is already there. It's next to Wheeler's Pharmacy kind of behind it. Okay, yeah, over there close to that where that Kroger used to be over there in Romney. 00:07:19 Speaker 4: Road, so it's off Romney Road. Are you sure about the positive? Okay? All right, So it was your argument because they already have commercial facilities, they should be used to foot traffic exactly. 00:07:31 Speaker 2: I think that argument about the push traffic and being an I sore, I think is out the window. 00:07:35 Speaker 4: Okay, Shannon. I had people angry, including friends of mine, like friends of mine, going, well, why don't you come live here? 00:07:41 Speaker 3: If you know, it is easy for us to say we're not living it. 00:07:46 Speaker 4: So I do live it every day now, Okay, I mean you know where I live? There? They in Louisville. In Louisville, I mean I live it every day right now. And their school. So I went and looked. There's a rehab facility that I didn't even know, a halfway house, but also has treatment like two blocks away from my house I didn't even know. I didn't even know, and by the way, right across the street from the school. So I'm just saying, like it's it's I understand people's hesitation, but y'all aren't the only ones that have ever had to deal with this, So you know, I my position remains the same, and I do think now they they didn't like that. Ryan, you called chevy Chase people hoity toety? Would you like to apologize at the use of the language hoity toety? And you are in theory you don't want your mayor to go, Hey, you people are hoity toy. 00:08:45 Speaker 2: I think you know there. It's fair to say they're upper scale, higher income, somewhat democratic. 00:08:56 Speaker 4: Okay again, upper class, higher come. That's just a description. That's an economic description. You could find that in the census. Probably hoity toy can't find that is a little different. 00:09:13 Speaker 3: That's sipping champagne with my pinky out. 00:09:16 Speaker 4: Yeah, you know, so you're doubling down? Sure, why not? Well, I can already see in twenty thirty four on LA X eighteen, the chevy Chase precinct has been called against Ryan Lemon unanimous against Ryan Leman. All right, well, so I wish everyone the best. It did pass four to two. It did. Apparently they're going to appeal it. I don't know who. Let me ask a question, who's on these boards? Who gets to decide? The six people that decided? Who are those people? I have no idea. 00:09:48 Speaker 2: Is it an urban im planning board or is it a city council board. I honestly, I don't know. 00:09:52 Speaker 4: Are they elected, are they appointed? 00:09:55 Speaker 2: Don't know? You're asking good questions. 00:09:58 Speaker 4: Yeah, I think I told you my buddy ended up on the school board for a year. Yes, and he was like, that'll never happen again. 00:10:05 Speaker 2: He wasn't even he was elected, right. 00:10:08 Speaker 4: No, you were appointed. We don't have to go into details. But he ended up on there for a year, and he said, that's not the most fun. I can't imagine wanting to be on a zoning board. You know, just have people your neighbors boo you. 00:10:22 Speaker 2: And you're gonna fight every single can't fight about something. 00:10:25 Speaker 4: Do you think they even get paid? I hope they do, and imagine something more. It's doing it for free. I don't care where you live in America. School boards and zoning boards would be the worst thing to it to be on, don't I mean in terms of. 00:10:43 Speaker 3: Oh, I have to be paid good money to do. 00:10:45 Speaker 4: That school Because school boards people yacht you about their kids, and then zoning boards people yacht you about their property value. Those would be the two things that I would want to be around. The least. 00:10:55 Speaker 6: One. 00:10:56 Speaker 4: You're doing a great job on the school board, No, they're just like, get this book out of my life. You know who's next? Mark? Mark? 00:11:03 Speaker 7: Go ahead, Marks on that. 00:11:06 Speaker 4: What's up? 00:11:08 Speaker 8: Hey, I want to touch on three real quid things. 00:11:10 Speaker 5: I'm gonna start and end up with UK basketball. 00:11:12 Speaker 8: Hey, yesterday to. 00:11:13 Speaker 6: Get a chance to discuss some of the easy flood being drafted by the Wings yesterday. 00:11:20 Speaker 4: Well, I just mentioned that the four. Are you talking about the number one pick or the UK women? 00:11:25 Speaker 5: Yeah? 00:11:26 Speaker 6: The number one pick? 00:11:26 Speaker 4: No, I did not talk about. I don't know girl, that's who Paige Becker's girlfriend. Yeah, she got to go play with her? With her, that's good for her. 00:11:35 Speaker 5: That would happened in the NBA. 00:11:36 Speaker 6: Can you imagine the uproar with that? 00:11:39 Speaker 4: Yeah? But you know what, I'm good with it. The number one pick in the WNBA draft. She got drafted by her girlfriend's team, Page Beckers. They're gonna end up being the two best players. Are you good with them playing together? An issue? If they have a fight in life, then it comes on to the court. I mean that is true, like the. 00:11:57 Speaker 5: Best player in the draft though, Matt. 00:12:01 Speaker 4: Okay, Well, I don't know about that, but would you would what do you think that would be like to play with your significant other on the team. Well, because if you break up, you're still going to be teammates with him. 00:12:15 Speaker 2: Yeah, it is interesting to think how that could happen. But you know, there are people that work with their spouses and their job and then they have to go home. 00:12:23 Speaker 4: I saw it. I don't know if you saw this. Vermont hired the women's basketball coach this week and her husband is the men's basketball coach. So Vermont now the men's and the women's coach is coached by a couple. Do you like that? 00:12:39 Speaker 2: I don't have a problem with it. They're two different entities. He's coaching his team, she's coaching her team. 00:12:43 Speaker 4: It'd be tough, though, because if you got rid of one of them, the other one may be like, I'm out too. Anyway, what's your second question? He's gone, Oh, I was going to get him. Let him have a second one. 00:12:56 Speaker 2: The w f A one one time, I know, like Britney Grinder had to play against her wife and they were like both sinners. They were like battling in the pain against each other. Then they had to go home after the game. I thought that was kind of. 00:13:06 Speaker 4: Yeah, we talked about that. 00:13:07 Speaker 1: Yeah, and who's up next, Glenn, go ahead, Glenn. 00:13:12 Speaker 9: Hey man, I can already see the campaign ads runn against Ryan right now. 00:13:17 Speaker 4: Oh, Ryan's done in the Chivvy. Ryan has just ended his chance at had any Chevy chase pots. Yeah. 00:13:24 Speaker 9: So last year there was an article wrote by Jack Wright that explained half of the issues were NIO related JMI, but the other half was Mark Pope, and I feel like people are missing that part. 00:13:39 Speaker 4: People completely skipped over that, sir. I'm glad you brought that up. Went When Jack and Jacob wrote that article about JMI and the issues, it was a two part article. Part two was about Mark Pope relating to the players, and everyone focused on the JMI part, but no one seemed to remember that there was a part about Pope as well, and that you know that I never understood what that was why people did that, But you're right, that was a question that long ago. 00:14:13 Speaker 9: Right, And I mean, honestly, here's a here's an honest question. Who was Mark Pope's highest recruit at BYU. We We could be asking him to do something that he hasn't done, you know, in the past, and just might not be good at it or might not have had the opportunity, But I mean that's probably why you don't maybe hire that person. 00:14:38 Speaker 4: But well, it's a great question. I appreciate the call. I mean that was the issue when when Mark got hired, the question was can he get top recruits? And Ryan, I think the thing gets clear. We still really haven't seen it happen. 00:14:51 Speaker 2: Yet, haven't happened yet. I guess I'm thinking about me at BYU did get Jackson Robinson. 00:14:55 Speaker 4: But Jackson Robinson was not a high recruit. 00:14:58 Speaker 2: At that day when he got recruited. When he got rec he became a did he recruit Richie Saunders? 00:15:04 Speaker 4: It just got hurt. But I think he was the don't know the answer to that. He recruited Colin he did and call, but remember Colin went on his mission. But Colin was a highly ranked play yes when he came out of high school. 00:15:15 Speaker 2: So I think that you know, that's that's still a box that has to be checked. Can he lure a top recruit or a top portal player to play for him at Kentucky. 00:15:23 Speaker 4: Uh, spring is sprung, and that means you might be getting outside more of whether it's yard work or staying active by biking or running. Increase physical activity when the weather gets warmer can lead as pains and injury. It's where Court Physical Therapy comes. They'll get you back to prevent future injuries from happening. With over seventy locations statewide, there's one year you go to court dot com to experience the best in rehab kort dot com. It's wings Day, dollar wings. I can smell them. Smells good, It really smells good. I was gonna be healthy today. I don't know smell It's wings Day. Come on, man, we'll take a break. Well, let's see, I'm doing trivia here tomorrow night, which means I'll eat wings. Then can he wing every day? Yeah? You can? All right, Well that's why you're in your situations. You get We'll be right back. Skaz Warner, Max Teddie Sports Radio. If I'm nine two eighth twenty two eighty seven, text machine seven seven two seven seven four five two five four one person rights, Matt. I really hope Mark Pope lands a top recruit to shut people up for a brief moment, that today would be a good day for that to happen. Today would be a good day for him to get somebody, get everybody to take a pause and a deep breath. I think today, I think today they need to get somebody and yeah. 00:16:35 Speaker 2: Yeah, Sunday and Monday kind of stop the noise. But they're starting to get rumble again. He needs to get somebody to kind of stop that noise again. 00:16:42 Speaker 4: And I just keep looking at the field of sixty eight top one hundred chart, and I just keep seeing more and more names filled with other teams and sitting there going who you know, because because you also to remember, we need we need like seven players, like we we we only have four right now, five if you count Mason Williams or no, is it four? We have mal Trent and Mason Williams. We have four guys. Rhys Potter. Didn't he say he was coming back? Yeah, but I mean I'm not not counting him. We need got like we need at least we need six guys for sure. 00:17:19 Speaker 2: Because Brandon, Brandon Hawthorne is still undecided. 00:17:22 Speaker 4: And I heard one thing about him. Yeah, I mean, he did a he did a TikTok interview with some guys. He seemed to be interviewing with some guy just on a couch. Did you see that. I don't know who that was. And he said They asked him, have you made a decision about next year? And he goes, yeah, I just haven't really been thinking about it. What that's not true, Like not even been thinking that had even crossed your mind. 00:17:46 Speaker 2: I guarantee it's crossed his mind a lot throughout the season. 00:17:49 Speaker 4: Yeah, all right. Zoning board people appointed by the mayor four year term. But it's volunteers. Oh are you iner? You out? I'm out, Shannon y and you're out. You lost me at one word. Volunteer, volunteer out. Okay, now here's a good question. Should you have to live in the neighborhood that you're zoning for? Yeah, you say yes, but you said no. 00:18:15 Speaker 2: See I thought you need to be more objective and not live in the neighborhood. You need to be able to see openly see both sides of the argument. 00:18:22 Speaker 4: But then somebody might say, well, you don't live here, so it doesn't affect you. 00:18:27 Speaker 2: I think if you're living there, though, you're gonna favor that decision. 00:18:31 Speaker 4: What do you mean favorite? 00:18:32 Speaker 2: I mean like, if you live there, you're gonna vote the way it's gonna help you because you're live in that neighborhood. 00:18:38 Speaker 4: It's affecting but it's affecting that people in the neighborhood. 00:18:41 Speaker 3: It's not affecting anybody else. 00:18:43 Speaker 4: You're saying that maybe there could be like a conflict of interest very much. Yeah, yeah, I don't know. That's a good question. I think you probably ought to have to live there. 00:18:52 Speaker 2: I can't believe those places are volunteers, those positions are volunteer, ladies. 00:18:55 Speaker 4: I'm gonna have to apologize for this, but we do have to talk about it. Normally, I don't use language like this, so I'm apologizing. She put her head down. There was a movie yesterday that was filmed in Lexington that had breasts running down the street. Did you see this? I don't know why from chance giggling It is funny. I don't know what it is, and I don't know why they filmed it in Lexington. So they turned downtown Lexington into New York, right, so they put up signs to make it look like New York, you know those New York Subway signed and Ken Jong that's the guy from Hangover, And then uh, what's there? What's the woman's name? It's one word. It's not Awa Kanda, but it's I don't know who the woman was what's the woman's name acho, Well, whatever her name is, she's famous. They're starring in it. And I'm not sure what the movie, Shannon is, but it can't be a serious movie. 00:19:58 Speaker 3: I can't wait to see it. 00:20:01 Speaker 4: But there were breass running down the street in Lexington chasing them. 00:20:08 Speaker 2: You don't think that's a serious movie. Two people dressed up his breast running down the street in Lexington. 00:20:15 Speaker 4: Aquafina, sorry, Aquafina and Kim Jong. It's a movie. This was the description. It's been filmed in downtown. Two breasts running down the street. It's based on the real life story of a breast cancer survivor. So maybe that's like their dream or something they're having. Probably, but the video, Shannon, is bizarre. And I just wait. If you were in Lexington and you just looked out the window. 00:20:41 Speaker 2: You think, what in the world am I watching? 00:20:43 Speaker 4: Would you think you were like taking acid? 00:20:45 Speaker 2: Yes, he's two human sized breasts running down Main Street in Lexington. 00:20:51 Speaker 4: Chasing the guy from the hangar. Imagine if you saw that yesterday and you just look you just look out and this is your Is that the guy from the hangover? Why is he running? 00:21:03 Speaker 3: Running? 00:21:04 Speaker 4: Running? I mean really bizarre and good for Lexington. I guess they're apparently they're shooting this movie throughout Lexington over the next few weeks. Yeah. Just so you know, Shannon, if you see breast walking down the street at some point, there is a reason. 00:21:24 Speaker 2: People dressed up his breast walking around Keenland. We should not be alerted to Keenan. Why not, you know, if they're going to try to make it really lifelike interesting. 00:21:32 Speaker 4: So anyway, that's just I just thought that was that was bizarre, not something you see normal. Who's next, Dave, Dave, go ahead, Dave. 00:21:41 Speaker 8: Like the woman's name was Aqua Faita. I wonder if she gets like bottle of water rollies. 00:21:47 Speaker 4: That's a good question. Yeah, I do like Aquafita. Go ahead. 00:21:52 Speaker 8: Yeah, seriously, the thing was stokes to me. Listen, I've watched a lot of Stakes video, watched the mcduell's All Star Games. I don't think is the fact that I don't think he's a transcendent talent, even though he's a really good player. I think it's what he represents that that's so important for Pope to get. 00:22:11 Speaker 4: I agree, completely agreeable. 00:22:15 Speaker 6: Yeah. 00:22:15 Speaker 8: Second thing is so y'are telling me that the reason we can't get players is because our coach is too much of a geek. 00:22:24 Speaker 4: Well, I mean that's your words, not mine, But I do think that that word I mean is well see, I mean, the problem is there's nothing I can say that it's not gonna just get people saying that I'm ruining Kentucky basketball. But I do think Mark so the best way I can put it without it becoming you know, a thing that floats online is that I think he is has a hard time relating to young basketball players. I mean, I think once they know him, they really like him. But I think those initial reactions, those initial interactions are awkward. You know, he's a because he's because he's like a lot of Yeah, he is a great guy and he's really smart, and but he's just kind of awkward, you know. I mean, I think that's just I appreciate the call. It's the best way I can say it. 00:23:19 Speaker 2: Like, it's just like Jack and Jacob. That article said he can get him to the closing table, just couldn't close the deal. 00:23:26 Speaker 4: Awkward. That's the best way I can put it. We'll take a break, be right back, SKSR. TJ. Smith Personal injury attorney called TJ He'll make him pay. 00:23:36 Speaker 3: Now more of Kentucky Sports Radio presented by Stockton Mortgage. Here's Matt Jones. 00:23:42 Speaker 4: Donnie Freeman just posted on his Instagram in a UK Jersey and wrote BBN question mark on his Instagram story. Is that a good sign? 00:23:53 Speaker 2: I think it's a good sign. Trying to, you know, get the fan base to show him a little love. 00:23:56 Speaker 4: And that's good. It's better than not. That's very true. All right. I have some more information channing on this movie real quick. Okay. Apparently yesterday also the movie producers rented out a restaurant in downtown and filmed the scene where the woman runs in and she's in a restaurant and all the women in it are topless. So there was a restaurant in Lexington that had forty topless women sitting in it and eating. Well, now I'm interested in which restaurant in Lexington did that? Yes? Which one do you think if you had to guess downtown restaurant, which one was the most likely to close during lunch and have that film. 00:24:44 Speaker 2: Have to be in someplace kind of there's not a little windows, kind of dark. 00:24:48 Speaker 3: Why wasn't a kaz bars. 00:24:50 Speaker 4: My question, Well, they weren't downtown. We would have done it. They could, They could have had that here it's Wednesday. Yeah, what do you. 00:24:58 Speaker 2: Think, like Frankendino's, the place's got kind of. 00:25:02 Speaker 4: A back round. It's nice in there. 00:25:04 Speaker 2: Yeah, it's kind of a back room. They could probably hide back in there. 00:25:07 Speaker 4: Why do you think people said they walked by and saw it. That's what people are telling. Wow, So it wouldn't be Frank and Dino's because that's kind of well ill Frankendinos has those windows right there. 00:25:17 Speaker 2: Italx, Yes, because that's he ran right in front of ITALICX. 00:25:21 Speaker 4: I bet that on the sidewalk. You think Italx did it? Maybe don't show a sponsor. Yeah, well there you go. Lots. You never know what's gonna happen in downtown Lexington. One person rites, mad, I know your favorite weekend is coming this year in Louisville. Are you going to thunder? Good? Gosh, No, is that this weekend? He said, yeah, worst worst day in the city, thunder to stay away. I'm so anti though. Look it's a plane. Yeah, I mean, like, let's go sit on hard concrete and look at the planes. Shann and you like it though, don't you don't you go. I've been a long time. 00:26:00 Speaker 3: I've been a few times, but I mean it's great for the economy. People come from all. 00:26:03 Speaker 4: Over the sea. He got canceled yesterday last year, didn't it? Or was it two years? One year they didn't have it because the wet weather, the flood, the food one year. 00:26:11 Speaker 3: Yeah, so say like, I'm with you on the fireworks in the air show. But the drone show has become really cool, Like they coordinate all these drones to go up in the air. I do think that's cool. 00:26:19 Speaker 4: So the drone show, they spell things in the air is what they do. 00:26:22 Speaker 3: American flag with all drones it waving and it is cool. 00:26:25 Speaker 4: I think that's good. Yeah, I'm I'm an. This is a big weekend though with with Keenland we'll have and then you got the thunder. Is the weather supposed to be good? Yeah? 00:26:36 Speaker 2: UK spring football game is Saturday. 00:26:38 Speaker 4: So let's talk about that for a minute. Spring football game is Saturday. Tickets are still available. It's tough because we're in the middle of portal season and I feel like it's not given will Stein the shine that he deserves. Yes, totally agree because he's done such a good job recruiting. We've gotten the number two quarterback, we got a top five defensive tackle. There's report yesterday one of the top five running backs in the country. Kentucky is the leader on I mean, will Stein has absolutely crushed it in recruiting. Unfortunately, it's just not getting the attention because everyone's focused on basketball. But I mean, you couldn't have asked for a better start than what will Stein has had. 00:27:18 Speaker 2: And I hope our fan base does recognize that and shows up on Saturday. 00:27:21 Speaker 4: What time is the game? Eleven? 00:27:24 Speaker 2: Tickets are free, but you have to get a ticket because there's limited seating. They're working on the Kroger Field, Like a half the stadium is like under construction. 00:27:31 Speaker 4: Yeah, half the stadium you can't so you do need a ticket. We'll be open here. We're gonna try like after the game. Well we'll be open after the game. Go out and come back by here. But do you think fans, I mean, you think we're gonna have a good showing. It's not gonna be available on any streaming, Like the only way you can see it is live. 00:27:51 Speaker 2: Like I said, I hope they show up. This his first one there is some momentum. There is a lot of excitement about the program. I just think we owe it to him, you know, show up. She'll show him some support and the family, the family is usually is good at that. 00:28:04 Speaker 4: Are you going, I'm going? 00:28:05 Speaker 2: I got I bought my bottom, I got my four tickets yesterday. 00:28:08 Speaker 4: Yeah, I'm gonna go. I think I'm gonna go Saturday morning. I want to see it. I want to see I want to see how he how he does things, you know, I mean, he's. 00:28:16 Speaker 2: It's the first taste of words. And they're only gonna play like they're gonna tack he said. 00:28:20 Speaker 4: There, he said, they are playing an actual games. Yes, they are tackling. They are doing everything as if it's. 00:28:26 Speaker 2: A game, none of that scripted two hand touch stuff. They're going, well, they're gonna hit with that. By the way, I am good with that. Well, you cross your fingers, hold nobody gets hurt. But if you're not hit hitting now, how can you hit when the SEC season starts in September? 00:28:39 Speaker 4: Yeah, I don't uh, I don't disagree with you. Who's next? 00:28:41 Speaker 3: Shannon cold plunging astronaut. 00:28:44 Speaker 4: Cold plunging astronaut? How are you hey, gentlemen. 00:28:49 Speaker 7: Hey, so maybe Pope needs to be abreast with these recruits. You know, maybe maybe take them to that restaurant where they were filming. You think that might work? No, okay, bad joke. 00:29:04 Speaker 4: That's all right. 00:29:04 Speaker 7: I could see it coming on another On another note, you mentioned I don't know, maybe a month or so ago, that you might come down to Texas to volunteer for Tall Rico's campaign. Wondering if that was still on your mind. 00:29:18 Speaker 4: Uh, it is possible, Yeah, depending on I got some things you may have read about. I gotta see how that goes. But yes, if that doesn't happen, I may do that. 00:29:29 Speaker 7: Cool cool, all right, Well, yeah, hanging on a thread here for these that recruited. 00:29:33 Speaker 4: I appreciate it. I appreciate you. I'll do yeah. Texas And you know they say Texas in July is hot hot. Nothing better than walking the streets of Texas in July. 00:29:45 Speaker 2: Walk outside and sneezing in a full sweat. 00:29:48 Speaker 4: Yes. Uh, we were just talking with the guy here. One person says, Matt, your reds are ten and seven. I'm in Red's gear. Are red gear? The game to night or something they won last night. I'm gonna go tonight. We still stink, but. 00:30:00 Speaker 2: You're in, like in second place in the division right now. 00:30:02 Speaker 4: You got a red's hat, sir. Do you think we're good? Do you think we're good? You gotta ask answer quick. This is a radio show. Yeah. 00:30:12 Speaker 2: I think he was delaying for a reason. 00:30:14 Speaker 4: Okay, So I don't think we're good. I want us to be good, but I don't think we're good. You can't squa any runs, man can't get any hits. Yeah, we won last night with three hits. It's the fourth game this year they've won with four hits or less. 00:30:30 Speaker 2: They got the pitch it. They just better start hoping they can score some run somehow. 00:30:33 Speaker 4: Yeah, but you're gonna have to score, especially when you get in summer and you know the ball flies farther. Yeah, so I don't. Yeah, I like him though. Do you like the new hat? 00:30:44 Speaker 2: I do like the new hat. They sent you some gear, right. 00:30:47 Speaker 4: They sent me that city Connect Jersey with my name on. So that's good. Who's next, Jacob, Jacob? Go ahead, Jacob, Hey, guys, good afternoon, Good afternoon. 00:31:00 Speaker 6: I keep saying the narrative, and y'all talked about it pretty much all morning. But I just I just feel like it's got to be something with Jami. I don't understand. I mean, Pope's a good guy, he is goofy, but I mean we're paying these kids millions of dollars. I mean, what if it's the delivery, what if you know. 00:31:20 Speaker 4: Yeah, I know, I actually don't listen if it's Jami, you know, I will say it. I think that Jami was an issue on a couple of recruitments that have passed guys we didn't get. But I do not think when it comes to Tyron Stokes and Rob Wright today, if those kids don't come here, I do not think it was because of Jami. I do think Jami was an issue for a little bit. I think they've changed a couple of their policies that were that were hindering, and then I think there's still things that need to be worked out. But I will say when it comes to Tyron Stokes and when it comes to Rob Right, I think you can has given them as good offers, if not better than every other school. 00:32:06 Speaker 6: I was also thinking maybe Rob Right because I heard they wanted Zoom and Right and maybe both of them just aren't down to uh, you know it. 00:32:15 Speaker 4: I don't think that's it. I don't think that's it. It wants he so I kind of I appreciate the call. I kind of understand the situation with Rob in some detail, but because I want to wait, I want him to commit to Kentucky and I don't. I want to make sure I don't say anything that at all does anything. So I'll wait till it's over, but then we'll talk about it. But I don't think any of them. I think it is a very Rob Wright's situation is it's either ex or wide. He's gonna decide, and I've got to think it's got to be happening soon, because I don't I think UK wants to lock up Zoom immediately after. I mean, I would think Rob Wright, I've got to think he tells UK this afternoon. Probably what he did, I would think, I mean, who knows. 00:33:03 Speaker 2: But you said they may have give him an ultimatium you got. 00:33:07 Speaker 4: It's an ultimatum. I don't think that's a fair word. But I think they feel like they got to. 00:33:11 Speaker 2: Know we'd give us an answer yay or nay by the end of the day today. 00:33:15 Speaker 4: Well that's an ultimatum. I don't think they've done that, Okay, I think they Well, I don't want to. I don't want to be involved. My name is Ben at nine. Let's let it happen and then I'll talk about it. Tell me about Stockton Mortgage. 00:33:28 Speaker 2: Stockton Mortgage spring buying season is here. I told him, you gotta get preapproved before you go out there because it just helps you in the negotiation process. 00:33:40 Speaker 4: It's easy to do. 00:33:41 Speaker 10: Uh. 00:33:42 Speaker 2: Stock to Mortgage will take your information, get you preapproved, get you ready to go to hit the market the spring buying season. So give him a call. S Doctor Mortgage n mls A two five nine, Stockton dot Com nmls A two five nine Equality Lender. 00:33:53 Speaker 4: It's wild Eggs Wednesday. I sure couldn't spell it, There's no doubt about it. And remember, yeah, you could look it up on AI. But try to do it yourself. Have a little fun with have a little pride you see if you can figure it out yourself. I like that you didn't even know what it meant, right. 00:34:30 Speaker 2: I gotta guess what it means, but I sure couldn't spell it. 00:34:33 Speaker 4: Okay, did you do your homework that I asked you? Yes? Okay, we will, we will. We will deal with that as well when we returned. It's a ks work. Go back. Take you sports radio. Even though em beads out, he got appendix situs. Oh I didn't know that. Yeah, I think he. I think he's out all right. I asked you to do some homework real quick to educate people about the Alex's fight Alex Cooper versus Alex Earl. You told me you did the homework. 00:36:02 Speaker 2: What did you learn, Well, it took me about ten minutes to figure out who is who. 00:36:07 Speaker 4: They look alike, they look a lot alike. 00:36:08 Speaker 2: They look Alex Cooper al e X is the older one, she's thirty one. Alex Earl al i X is the younger one, she's twenty five. And they used to be good friends. Matter of fact, it was almost like mentor Protegee and even had the same agent. And I think this is one all goes back to this. There was a Super Bowl commercial that just aired last year, and Alex Earl got the commercial, the young one, not the older one, and her commercial for who Carl's Junior Burgers? So for Hardy's for her all over all over a damn cheeseburger. 00:36:42 Speaker 4: It cannot be over a Hardy's commercial. Over the Hardy's commercial. 00:36:47 Speaker 2: You go back and you kind of research it. It all stems from Who's who. Alex Cooper, the old one, I think, is jealous that Alex Earl, the young one, got the Carl's Junior commercial. 00:36:58 Speaker 4: But Alex Cooper's worth like three hundred million dollars. Why does she care about a Hearty's? 00:37:02 Speaker 2: Because it is petty jealousy, That's what it is. Whole fight boils down to petty. 00:37:07 Speaker 4: So you're saying jealous she wanted to be in the Hardy's commercial. There was a super Bowl commercial that's a big deal and Alex Earle got it. Yes, well why she mad at Alex Earle because she got the commercial? But that because if you look at the tweets are going back and forth, Alex Cooper, the old one, tweeted out, where's the beef? Uh huh that's Wendy's. But it doesn't matter, it's a burger. 00:37:30 Speaker 2: I think it's petty jealousy over the young one got the super Bowl commercial and the old one. 00:37:34 Speaker 4: Do you think these two friends, yes, over Hearty's that started it. 00:37:39 Speaker 2: That cannot be what it iss are good. 00:37:42 Speaker 4: You don't lose a friendship over Harty. No, No, it's Carl's junior. 00:37:48 Speaker 3: The money, I'm sure though. 00:37:50 Speaker 4: But she's Alex Cooper's worth like a like she's the worth. She's a ton of money. She sold her podcast to Spotify for like a bajillion dollars. Yeah, like I said that. 00:37:59 Speaker 3: The commercial those the notoriety dude. 00:38:01 Speaker 4: That's it. 00:38:02 Speaker 2: It's petty jealousy over the super Bowl commercials. Where you started and then it just kind of went that's your take, that's my take on it. 00:38:08 Speaker 4: All right, Well, I mean you are the reporter, so I guess I gotta listen to you. Who's up next to Nathan? Nathan, go ahead, and Nathan. 00:38:15 Speaker 5: Hey, we're actually heading out to Vegas tomorrow, but we're not going to WrestleMania. We're going to do three nights of Fish at the Sphere. But one of the many events of WrestleMania. 00:38:26 Speaker 4: Oh wait, hang on just a second. You're going to see Fish at the Sphere. That feels like the trippiest thing. I can imagine. How old are you, sir? If you don't asking, how old are you? 00:38:38 Speaker 5: Thirty nine? 00:38:39 Speaker 4: All right, well you can probably still handle it that. That seems like I can't imagine that music and the sphere, Well, good luck. I hope you enjoyed it. 00:38:48 Speaker 5: It's gonna be a lot of sensory input there. So anyways, going back, so there's a lot of events for WrestleMania and ICP World Wrestling Championship is there and we tickets to that. It's at midnight. Now, that's the insane. 00:39:04 Speaker 4: Yes, I know what it is. Haley's wrestling in that from from wrestling, HollyHood, Haley j will be in that. 00:39:13 Speaker 5: I'm going to see what you know about it, because we're really looking forward. I'm not even a wrestling fan, but yeah, that's going to be amongst them. 00:39:21 Speaker 4: Yeah, you will be among You will really be amongst them. That one like wrestling in general everywhere, and you are going to be amongst them, amongst them. I appreciate the call. I did see Haley's part of that. 00:39:33 Speaker 2: I thought she was just in the slap sports everything. 00:39:36 Speaker 4: Okay, Hailey's Haley's part of everything? Yeah, it would uh would you want to go see fish at the sphere? Would you do you want to go to the sphere? In general? 00:39:46 Speaker 2: I do want to go to the sphere, but I would not want to go for a fish. 00:39:49 Speaker 4: Who would you want to go see the Backstreet Boys play there? A lot? I would go. 00:39:52 Speaker 2: I would go through the back Street I was there last week. 00:39:55 Speaker 3: They had the Wizard of Oz but was like fifty bucks though for the Wizard of one. 00:40:00 Speaker 4: Hundred and fifty bucks. So they played the Wizard of Oz in the Sphere. So it looks like the monkeys go at you or whatever. 00:40:05 Speaker 3: And like you know, when the tree throws the apples. I think they drop apples down from the ceiling. 00:40:10 Speaker 4: All. Oh really wow, Yeah, that's a good question. Who would you want? I don't think I could handle fish. It's too much. Three nights. Yeah, I don't know. I don't know who I would want to see? I bet Tyler there? But like you want something though that's interactive? You want to I think like maybe Star Wars or something. 00:40:28 Speaker 2: That would be really cool that little light laser light show inside there? 00:40:32 Speaker 4: Yeah, Matt, you would want to see the breast movie they're filming here? Yeah, Matt, go ahead, Matt. 00:40:45 Speaker 10: Hi, home boys, I'm chilling out my guarden, bare footed, reconnected with the Nitrim, beautiful Homie Kentucky eating black Market the kit cats and if you all need any wink wink, let me know. 00:40:57 Speaker 4: What do you mean black market kit cats? Oh? Because you stole them? Okay, got you? I wasn't sure what you were saying. 00:41:02 Speaker 10: Go ahead, I didn't do it. But anyways, I just got one question, Matt. You worked for ESPN. Did ESPN find Seth Greenberg at? 00:41:17 Speaker 5: What do y'all call it? 00:41:19 Speaker 10: The toilet store? 00:41:20 Speaker 4: God? 00:41:20 Speaker 10: Bless and have a good thing. 00:41:21 Speaker 4: Appreciate the call. You know how hard it is for me to try to because you know, in this job, I can really say anything whatever. But with ESPN they kind of they don't like you to talk trash about fellow employees. And it's hard with Seth Greenberg because you know my feelings, but I don't want to get called in the principal's office. He blocked me on Twitter. No way he did. Yeah, I just say that had to be recent because he did. He blocked me on Twitter. Paddy, he was there when I did the bracket show. He was in the building and I kept thinking I was going to run into him, but I did in the cafe. I thought I was gonna run you know all that we did, but didn't end up running into it. 00:42:04 Speaker 2: It's tough because you do have to wear your ESPN hat as much as you wear your KSR hat now these days, so you can't say anything bad about him or Stephen A or any of these guys. 00:42:11 Speaker 4: Oh, Stephen as another one. I have to bite my tongue when he says something crazy like I want to retweet it and that to go we always gonna be our president. Those are the things I want to to tweet about. When he acts like he's gonna run for president, but I have to. I have to follow rules. Hey, thank you all very much for coming out here today. Appreciated. Good seeing you all. Wings Day for the rest of the day and tonight Dollar Wings. Tomorrow is trivia. Got your team. 00:42:36 Speaker 2: I'm not just bringing a team, I'm bringing the winning team tomorrow night.
