I was told recently that Aaron Rodgers and Mike McCarthy got together in Los Angeles at the beginning of April at the Polo Lounge. I even know the location, Yes, the Polo Lounge. I've been to the Polo Lounge with the former Sports Center anchor late night host Craig Kilbourne. Kilby loved to go there and sing show tunes. But from what I'm told, sources close to me tell me that Aaron Rodgers and Mike McCarthy meeting at the Polo Lounge at the beginning of April. I think Aaron's coming back for one more year, and maybe that's why there hasn't been much dialogue conversation. Now, you do hear, Oh, the Steeler's gonna go for Ty Simpson. Well, I wouldn't go for him in the first round if I can get him in the second round. And Albert Breer had great logic with this. We've seen this before. Carolina took Jimmy claus in the Notre Dame quarterback in the second round. Next year they take Newton number one. Overall, you can take a swing in the second round and if it doesn't work out, then it doesn't work out, maybe you get a backup quarterback. I think teams probably are going to look at Ty Simpson as a potential starter, Arizona the Jets. But if I'm Arizona and the Jets, I don't want to take a chance on a guy who's not a first rounder. I want to make sure that the guy I'm taking is a first round quarterback. And that's why I wouldn't be reaching for Ty Simpson. Now, can you get him in the third round? I don't think so, But if you did, then I would say, yeah, thumbs up. But I just can't. You know, these draft picks are so valuable, especially for these teams that need to hit on every draft pick, and the Jets and Cardinals need to hit on every draft pick. I was also told that don't be surprised if the Jets try to take two Ohio State players. Now they have the tenth pick. Caleb Downs is going probably five unless somebody goes up a little bit higher to get him, and Sunny Styles might be number ten. So you're getting two starters right there. So I like what the Giants are doing. Do I want to give up Dexter Lawrence? I don't, but I doesn't want to be there. Let me get two guys who can play right away for me, and we're not winning this year, so I like it. You've got a respectable offense, so you know you can be a disruptor in the NFC East. And if Washington is just hanging out for Jeremiah Love. Although I did have one of my friends who has a source, said Love is not getting past five, I said, okay, all right. Even though it's a running back, I still think he's the best player in the draft. He's a tune in home run hitter and he's more than just a running back. So I would be all in now if I'm Arizona or the Jets wouldn't take him they need help. The Titans would be an interesting Okay, we're taking him at four. Does somebody go up and get him? Do they make a trade with Tennessee? But Jeremiah Love, by most accounts, is the best player in the draft. The best player in the draft doesn't go number one because Fernando Mendoza is going to go number one. He'll join us on the program on Wednesday. Yeah, Pauli.

He was not used properly and not surrounded as a raider with the fourth pick. It's more where you go, because there's no way Leonard Fournett should not have had a great career. He had a nice career, but he went to a team that didn't put him in position to dominate. Then look at Zeke Elliott. He goes to the Cowboys. They have a great offensive line in place. He has five thousand yards in three years.

Speaker 2: Multiple outlets, The New York Times, The Athletic, Wall Street Journal, Financial Times, just to name a few, have reported that the Saudis will no longer fund the Live Tour. The Telegraph reported Live executives called into an emergency meeting in New York City. The Athletic noted Live executives are seeking life wraps out. Golf channels reported players and vendors haven't been paid for recent services. The league has some investors, although the biggest ones tend to be offshoots of the Saudi the Pif this is going to be for the end of the season, I don't think Live Tour stops existing here now. I think this will be saving phase through the end of twenty twenty six. I saw where some of their broadcasters were cautioning members of the media to not celebrate the demise of the Live Tour. You know, you try to palace coup on the PGA Tour, So why is it that I can't celebrate if the Lived dies and the PGA Tour continues. I think it benefited. I think Livetour made the PGA Tour better by more money. But you haven't seen any players go to live You've had live players go to the PGA Tour. But while I'm not celebrating, this is an American sport here, the PGA Tour for the most part, you know the PGA Tours is played here. Do I want the PGA Tour to be strong and continue, yes, yes, But you know the Live Tour was what was started by Greg Norman. This has been a thirty year revenge tour. He wanted to take down the PGA Tour. He tried to do this thirty years ago. So I don't think there was some altruistic Hey, we're growing the sport. I don't think they did. Plus, when you say, hey, man, are we crazy, We're wild. We play music, you can wear shorts, and we're playing fifty four holes. Okay, Hey I'm gonna start a new baseball league. We're only playing six innings. Man, are we crazy?

Nobody cares, Cam Smith, nobody cares. Come on back to the PGA Tour. You got your money. I didn't begrudge you. I had an opportunity to be part of the Live Tour if I wanted to be. Somebody reached out a long long time ago and said would you be interested as a host? And I said no. They said, well, you haven't heard the money. I said no, I'm not. I'm just not interested. Be hypocritical to say, man, I hate what they're doing and who they're with, and all of a sudden take their money. And look, I know the Saudis are involved in a lot of different sports here. That's not kid anybody. But this was the start of sports washing and I had a problem with it. So sorry, I had a problem with it. But am I celebrating? No, it doesn't bother me. Live Tour. As long as you know the marquee players or Rory wasn't going there, you know that you still had these events. I mean, all you got to do is tune in to some of these events and you realize even yesterday you're watching, you know, two great players down the stretch, Fitzpatrick and Scotty going into extra holes. It was great, great atmosphere. I mean, I'm sorry, No, I'm not sorry. I'm glad. I'm glad that the PGA Tour is going to continue. Did they need to be kind of had their feathers ruffled? Yes, probably so. But do I celebrate liv Oh? Yeah, Paully Live.

Best of the weekend was surprisingly, I hate to say about my Lakers to do it in such a dominant fashion. I know KD didn't play, but neither do Luca nor Ar, so to me, it was evenly matched. And to see Luca Nard go off like that was a very pleasant surprise to see, hopefully because because that's the name that everybody was expecting to light it up. I was gonna say the worst of the weekend was my Dodgers losing to in a row, but it could be worse being a Mets fan these days, so I'm not going to touch on losing to in a row, and then the hilariously just just terrible for the La Clippers because we always loved to point and lap at them. A trade that was made in July of twenty nineteen is still serving up wins for the OKC. It so reminds of body that the Clippers traded seven players for one. You don't win sixty plus games without being able to go on the road and win a game. So it's no time to panic in Detroit. But it's very head.

They won't play a rigorous like NBA schedule, or there's eighty two games and there's back to backs over there in Europe. Uh, there's days in between. You might play two games a week, so it'd be less taxing on your body. And again you have that built in fan base. Because obviously ninyay is a global game. I think it'd be a smart move.
