Speaker 1: Hello, gorgeous. It's Lala Kent. Welcome to untraditionally Lala.

00:00:07
Speaker 2: Hello, my loves, did you just go My mom just went about this freaking peanut butter cookie with jam in the middle that she's eating. She looked at it and goes, oh, we need to get you a boyfriend. No, we're a vibrator something.

00:00:26
Speaker 3: Listen to me. Yeah, this is delicious.

00:00:29
Speaker 1: Is don't make this podcast hard for Easton to edit.

00:00:33
Speaker 4: Okay, whatever you guys say, Easton, I always thinking it's my Eastern.

00:00:39
Speaker 1: You don't say yeah, I never do.

00:00:42
Speaker 3: No, But can I tell you that our baby says yeah she does. You're twins.

00:00:54
Speaker 1: Okay, I'm really obsessed with this drama that has happened. By the way, welcome to the bonus. I have my mom eating crumbs off of herself. Do you do you? I'm obsessed, obsessed with this mom drama.

00:01:11
Speaker 4: You know who else has joined forces with the mom drama? Crystal that was on the Beverly Hills Housewives.

00:01:18
Speaker 1: With this, Yeah, with this mom drama.

00:01:20
Speaker 3: Yep, it came on my newsfeed.

00:01:24
Speaker 1: I did you screenshot it so you can read me what's happening? Okay, So for those of you who are lost. Ashley Tisdale published a personal essay for The Cut and the title of it was breaking up with my toxic mom group. The internet then try to figure out, like we do, play detective, who is the mom group that she is referring to, because obviously Ashley never named the people that were involved in this mom group. Okay, so people on the internet speculated it was the people in this photo. And the people in this photo are Ashley Tisdale, Hillary Duff, Mandy Moore, Meghan Trainer, Janie Gott, Gabby Dalkin, Kelsey Denahan. Some of these people, I'll be honest, I don't know who these are. Haley david Owitz, Amanda Kaplan, and Whitney Wagner. Hartley So I know the above names up until Meghan Trainer, So I know four of the names. Yeah, and I'm looking at the photo and one of the girls on the end looks familiar. Anyway, That's who people had tied it to was the people in the photo. Ashley Tisdale's reps went to TMZ to shut it down. They were like, this is not who she's referring to. They also, I love this part. They also felt it necessary to be like, and by the way, actually Turchdale is not a Republican. She here's a registered Democrat. I feel like there's such a difference though, you guys, since actually I'm not even gonna go there. I'm gon shut the fuck up. We're not gonna go politics, but please keep that part in there. Not even gonna go politics. I'm just gonna shut the fuck up anyway. Hillary Duff's husband, Oh, I love when a husband taps themselves in.

00:03:11
Speaker 3: And I got the scoop on Crystal when you're done.

00:03:13
Speaker 1: Okay, okay, I love this Hillary Douff's husband posted on Instagram, which just confirms that this is the mom group. When you're the most self obsessed, tone deaf person on earth. Other moms tend to shift focus to their actual toddlers. People are like, all right, done, here we go because then Ashley's man tabs himself in and says underrated life skill, pausing to decide if it's worth your energy. Well, then Megan Traynor taps herselfen and posts a TikTok on January eighth, same day that an unlikely affair aired. So if you guys didn't see this, because an unlikely affair came out, I understand, I'm here to pull you out from under your rock and then written across the TikTok it said me finding out about the apparent mom group drama. And then she did like cups of tea and hashtag it still don't still don't care, and it's like, all right, so we've confirmed who the group is. I just love when mom drama happens. Here's my whole thing. Don't love when the husbands have themselves in. Okay, And maybe it's because I don't have a husband. You don't have a husband. So when the husband's at any point in time, and I'll you guys will see this on the valley as well, when the man tabs themselves in. I do not have a man. I don't want to go toes with a man. Shut the fuck up. Fade into the background, Let it be between the moms. Be quiet, how do you feel, mom?

00:04:38
Speaker 3: Same way?

00:04:38
Speaker 1: Like, be quiet, my dad? I remember many times. Because we're we all become mama bears. Right. So it's when you have a mom group, it's just a matter of time before shit explodes, all right, because we all start, you know, we're getting along and it's all, you know, fun and games, and our cups are full, and then they become unfull very quickly because it's like, okay, now it's to because we're women, a little dramatic, and especially when you have kids in the well, then the kids are involved, so it's mama bear shit.

00:05:08
Speaker 3: Yeah.

00:05:08
Speaker 1: And so I remember being young and having friends in their parents and my mom feeling a certain way towards the parents, and the dad's always just kept out of it, right, yes, like be quiet, keep your heads down and let the moms duke it out. Where is Crystal from?

00:05:28
Speaker 3: You know what? Let's look at this.

00:05:31
Speaker 4: It says it stems from Crystal commenting on Ashley's viral posts about being excluded from a toxic mom grip, with Crystal relating but drawing criticism for adding pick me comments.

00:05:43
Speaker 1: How do you feel about this mom?

00:05:44
Speaker 3: I feel like she brought it to the streets and I don't agree with it.

00:05:47
Speaker 1: A freaking men.

00:05:49
Speaker 3: She has issues, go to the source.

00:05:51
Speaker 1: I fully agree with you, and without naming names, I used to have a friend who took shit to the streets. It never ends well when it comes to your mom group. Keep it in the mom group. Don't publish an article about it. If you need to break up with them, great, But I feel like when the kids are involved, like you have to take the high road. I know that in this day and age, none of us can have a thought without posting it talking about it. I know this got a lot of pickup, but it's like, why cause the headache?

00:06:32
Speaker 3: Yeah?

00:06:32
Speaker 1: When the children are involved, can I ask you a question? Yeah, do you think that you put your beef aside for the sake of the kids at this age? For example? Ocean on for example ocean if Ocean I had a friend and I, you know, she was like, I want to play with this kid, And I'm like, okay, great, And I call their mom and like the mom and I become friends and then we have a falling out. This is all hypothetical, by the way, right, would I still continue to reach out and like get the kids together? Like, what do you think about that? Or do you think it depends on who you are?

00:07:21
Speaker 3: I think it depends on who you are. Yeah, that's what I think.

00:07:25
Speaker 1: Because my mom will tell me at times if I'm supposed to go do something and I'm like, I want to do this, and I know that the comments are going to be like, oh, Lolly, you need to suck it up. But I just I know who I am, and I think the superpower in life is being able to acknowledge who you are and at times say, I know that I won't be able to control this. So my biggest flaw is that I lash out.

00:07:52
Speaker 4: So I think you need to step back from the situation. And I think, Ashley, this is just my opinion, should have maybe step back from the situation, let it diffuse itself a little bit before going to press. But you know, I agree, act sometimes quickly when we're fueled.

00:08:10
Speaker 1: But that's my whole point is that there are times where I know, I know that if I put myself in a certain situation, even it's if it's to make sure that ocean doesn't miss out, I will lash out because I'm in my own emotion. And people can say, then you know you can't separate yourself from your child and put her needs ahead of your own. Maybe I don't know. Yeah, if you need to diagnose me with that, then great.

00:08:38
Speaker 3: But if your gut's telling you not to do something.

00:08:41
Speaker 1: Then I take a shit out do it. Yeah, And I think she should have taken a step back. I do too, And I have to be honest, these schools give a shit. Yeah, these schools don't want the drama. When you put it out there that you're having beef with some of your mom friends and then it's time to go into school, they're gonna be like, we don't trust it if you have an issue at our school, that it won't end up as an article that you publish. So I try to kind of steer clear of that.

00:09:10
Speaker 3: Type of thing as you should.

00:09:13
Speaker 1: Yeah, because we talked about it on the regular episode, getting into getting into schools in La, I mean even preschool, the preschool that Ocean goes to. I remember touring it, and we toured it in I think I want to say they started in July. It was like a couple months before they were going to start, and there were moms there, you guys that were like six months pregnant being like, I'm trying to get on the wait list for when my kid turns eighteen months. And then they we like went down the line of like who our child is when they're going to school, and I was like, I'm Lala, I'm hoping my child's three and I'm hoping to come here in July, and I'm looking at me like good luck. It's it's very competitive, so you do want to walk a very fine line. And getting into kindergarten is an entirely new beast. Like you to college, Well, you're paying college prices if you're looking at private school. But they look at these things. They look at your social media, they look at you know. I remember posting the bitch video of ocean and I did get an email from this someone, from someone saying, you know, you should really like just it's a very funny video, but maybe think twice about posting stuff like this.

00:10:37
Speaker 3: So who knows.

00:10:39
Speaker 1: She's Ashley Tisdale. I've had nothing but wonderful interactions with her.

00:10:43
Speaker 3: I loved when I met her. I thought she was darling.

00:10:47
Speaker 1: And I've had nothing but positive interactions with Ashley's husband as well. It is very important to point out that Haley Duff, which is Hillary Duff's sister, is citing with Ashley Tisdale.

00:11:01
Speaker 3: Oh wow, I know, isn't that kind of wild hush juicy?

00:11:07
Speaker 1: I'm like, you have to be careful posting about the stuff, but don't stop posting about this stuff. It's great podcast content for me. I always find it's a little bit like I give it a little side eye when people have siblings that kind of turn on them. And side was like, I just can't even imagine, you know, like imagine me posting something like this and yeah he's been signing.

00:11:31
Speaker 3: And him signing with the person that you've talked about. Yeah, oh that'd be weird. It would be weird.

00:11:38
Speaker 1: It just goes like.

00:11:39
Speaker 3: When there must be other underlying issues not just this.

00:11:43
Speaker 1: You don't say, mom, yes you don't.

00:11:47
Speaker 3: Wow, this is very profound. I try to be.

00:11:53
Speaker 1: I think there must be something else going on.

00:11:57
Speaker 3: I don't think it's just about the article.

00:12:00
Speaker 1: Wow, I freaking love you.

00:12:05
Speaker 3: Anyway, this was excellent.

00:12:06
Speaker 1: Easton is my bff.

00:12:09
Speaker 4: Like me speaking of Eastern Oh you guys, he was supposed to be here today.

00:12:14
Speaker 1: He was supposed to be on the podcast today, which obviously, jid, you're always like a gem of a guest. But he was supposed to be on the podcast today. And I'm blaming myself because I told him, I was like, you should come earlier to the studio and like grab a coffee with us, And he calls me and he goes, I don't think i'll be able to make it. I just got in a car accident. He was like, at the light, someone was behind him, and then another car he saw just hauling, who obviously wasn't paying attention, hit the car behind him, and then that car hit It was like a little three car pile up. He was trying to give us a play by play Eastern kind of loop. Sometimes he reminds me of Miss Congeniality, where she's like to Miss Hawaii. She like, if someone says like Aloha, was just start all over. When I say goodbye to Easton, he literally starts over.

00:13:03
Speaker 3: He's like, yeah, so that's the thing.

00:13:06
Speaker 1: My dad used to do it. My brother Brandon does it, Easton does it. I have to be like, all right, bye bye, gotta go bye bye. You said this already, you said this already. But they're so cute' they're so sweet and you and I next Tuesday. Everyone loves that, and everyone hates us. We're bitches.

00:13:25
Speaker 3: So I guess when they're sleeping. No, no, no, I can't.

00:13:28
Speaker 1: It drives me fucking nuts. He literally Aloha makes him start all over. It's all I'm gonna say.

00:13:34
Speaker 3: But they all do.

00:13:36
Speaker 1: He gave the play by play, and I we said. We don't care about that. We just want to make sure. Okay, he's fine. There was a miscommunication with the masseuse today, so he's now having an unexpected massage, which he deserves. Love that it was supposed to be for three people, so Ocean's getting thrown into the mix. You're grounded from the iPad. Get your fucking massage though. Anyway, I love you guys. I hope you enjoyed this bonus. I'll catch you guys next week. Bye.
