00:00:01 Speaker 1: Hey, everyone, welcome back to Happy Hour. 00:00:03 Speaker 2: I am Joe and I am Serena. 00:00:06 Speaker 1: It's nice. Nice that you're back. 00:00:08 Speaker 2: Nice to be back. I was sad to be away last week. There was so much good stuff to talk about. 00:00:13 Speaker 1: Yeah, I missed you last week, but I was able to handle it on my own. 00:00:18 Speaker 2: I'm sure you will. You were. 00:00:20 Speaker 1: It's hard. It's actually difficult to recap by yourself. 00:00:23 Speaker 3: Yeah, I feel like it's more fun when you can have like a conversation about it with someone and like bounce off another person. 00:00:28 Speaker 2: So I'm glad that was you. 00:00:29 Speaker 1: And not me. I feel like when we watched the episode together, I stole a lot of your thoughts and. 00:00:35 Speaker 2: Did you that's okay. 00:00:39 Speaker 3: I feel like that makes me hear in spirit that you were using my thoughts. 00:00:42 Speaker 1: Okay. So she will recap Golden Batchel. We're going to recap Bachelor in Paradise this week. Coming up, we have two interviews. We have Susan, who we love, everyone loves. People are calling her Chris Jenner. And then we have hot Sean Hot Sean, who we we do we see him? Yeah? We have hot show for the podcasts, so h stay tuned for those interviews later this week, let's get into recapping the Golden Bachelor. 00:01:14 Speaker 2: Let's do it. I'm ready, okay. 00:01:16 Speaker 1: So first first thing we see is Trista. 00:01:19 Speaker 3: Trista's Trista was the first ever Bachelorette and we had her on the podcast a little while back. She made an appearance on Charity Season for her I think was it her finale or her tell all? 00:01:33 Speaker 1: For her tell all? Maybe? 00:01:36 Speaker 2: Yeah, it was her tell all because we were at the finale and Trista wasn't. 00:01:39 Speaker 1: There, and I think she told Cherie the same thing. This is her line she's been using. It's the who can't you live without? 00:01:47 Speaker 3: I know Trista, I think used that line for Charity and she's using it again for Gary. But honestly, when you got something good, why try to change it? Like that's a good line, And it obviously has resonated with both leads. 00:02:00 Speaker 1: It really resonated with Gary because he brought it up multiple times in this in this episode. 00:02:05 Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, I feel like it's really adjusted his mindset of like looking for you know what is it? 00:02:14 Speaker 2: Look for the woman. 00:02:15 Speaker 3: Don't look for the woman you could live with, look for the woman you can't live without. I feel like that's like a head versus heart thing, like, don't look for the woman that like fits your itinerary or like what you thought your life was going to be, like look for the woman that like would break your heart if you were with her. 00:02:29 Speaker 1: Yeah, I guess it's follow your. 00:02:31 Speaker 2: Heart, follow your heart. Wow, so romantic. 00:02:36 Speaker 1: So the first thing I noticed is Teresa grabs Trista's arm into Trista just so you know I got the first one, not one. 00:02:45 Speaker 2: Oh that's my note. 00:02:47 Speaker 3: Also right now, I wrote, Teresa can't stop talking about her connection with Gary, and I feel like, on one hand, it's endearing because she's genuinely so excited about this guy. But on the other hand, I just feel like she can't read the room unfortunately. I feel I would be upset if I was in those women's shoes and Teresa like grab Trista to be like, guess how amazing my connection is with this guy. 00:03:15 Speaker 2: I'd be like, girlfriend, you got to reel it in. 00:03:18 Speaker 1: I feel like Teresa needs constant validation, like she needs to let everyone know about her relationship with Gary, and she wants them to be like, yes, you're right, he's really into you. 00:03:31 Speaker 3: You're probably right because I feel like it's so easy to feel insecure in this environment, even if you're not can if you don't consider yourself an insecure person, like these women seem very confident, like it's impossible to not get in your head. And I feel like her way of coping with that insecurity of like I got the first one on one day, I had a great connection, and now he's off making connections. 00:03:50 Speaker 2: With other women as well. 00:03:51 Speaker 3: Her way of like coping with that, Oh my gosh, like maybe it's not me, I don't know, is like constantly telling everyone else great her connection is to like almost reassure herself how great her connection is. 00:04:04 Speaker 1: Yeah, I think, yeah, I think that's correct. But we could tell it it's it's obnoxious and it's annoying the other woman. 00:04:12 Speaker 3: Oh yeah, And we can see it's going to come to a head once again in this episode. 00:04:16 Speaker 1: So we're going to get a group date. We do see that Leslie is going to get the one on one. She's very excited. 00:04:22 Speaker 2: Yeah, who did you think was going to get that one on one? 00:04:24 Speaker 1: I thought it was going to be between Leslie and I thought maybe like maybe Nancy, maybe Ellen. 00:04:33 Speaker 3: I was like, really, or go ahead? I was really confident. I don't know why it was going to be Faith. I was like convinced. I was like, oh, it's definitely Faith sweet because she got the first impression Rose and we haven't really seen her time with Gary that much so anyway, but it wasn't. 00:04:50 Speaker 2: It wasn't it was Leslie's turn that. 00:04:52 Speaker 1: Yeah, I wonder what happened there with Faith because they did she got the first impression Roles. It seemed like Gary was smitten that first night over Faith. We haven't really seen much. 00:05:03 Speaker 2: I think we're going to see more so in the companies. 00:05:06 Speaker 3: Well, in the teaser for next week, it does show what looks like a one on one date with her and Gary. Yea, So either that's going to go really well and we're going to realize their connection is really developed, or it's going to be the last date we see it with Faith. I feel like it's got to go one way or the other at this point because we're so deep into this process. 00:05:23 Speaker 1: Yeah, I think so. All right, So let's hop to the pickleball game. First thing, we see Joey the Bachelor's there, you know, the nice apparents from him. These women are amped, They're ready to go this is a big this is their super Bowl. 00:05:37 Speaker 2: They're so excited. Ellen is so excited. 00:05:41 Speaker 3: I don't know if I've ever seen anyone in this franchise this excited for a group date. 00:05:45 Speaker 2: Ellen is like I she wants to. 00:05:47 Speaker 1: Be on that cover of the pickleball magazine. 00:05:49 Speaker 3: Oh yeah, it's her time to shine. And they put them in like Sherbert Colors. 00:05:53 Speaker 2: It's pretty fun. Look like they could have been in the Barbie movie a little bit. 00:05:57 Speaker 1: I mean that's a that's a fun It's just a it's a fun game because everyone, everyone could play, everyone could compete. I think we see a lot of times on like The Bachelor Bachelorette, like there's like these football games, but like half the people really are like what, like I'm not into this, yeah, where pickleball is like yeah, and all these women know how to play pickleball. Gary loves pickleball. Like It's just it's much more fun because I feel like everyone could participate, you know. 00:06:24 Speaker 2: Yeah, it's like an equal playing field. 00:06:26 Speaker 3: Even if it's you know, you have more experience, for least, you can probably figure it out. 00:06:30 Speaker 2: Or you could do it. 00:06:31 Speaker 3: April did and just fake a sprained ankle and hang out on the side of the carriy. 00:06:35 Speaker 1: That's one of the things I wrote down that was probably my favorite moment of the Pickleball In. 00:06:39 Speaker 3: Her interview when she I don't know what she said, she said, like my ankle's doing just fine, and like winged or something. 00:06:45 Speaker 2: You were hysterically laughing. It was so funny. 00:06:50 Speaker 1: April is so great. 00:06:52 Speaker 3: Her and Susan, in my opinion, are like the comedic relief of the show and have a very similar sense of humor that is just so enjoyable to watch. 00:07:02 Speaker 1: Where the show went wrong and I hope, I hope the execs are listening to this. Where the show went wrong with Golden Bachelor is they truly should have shown more of April, because oh yeah, the way she faked that injury and that that waked at the Carol is just just shamelessly that was an award winning right there. 00:07:23 Speaker 3: And then we've got the women battling it out to be on the cover of Pickleball magazine. We've got Sondra diving into the crowd. 00:07:32 Speaker 1: How about Sondra's seventy five years old. 00:07:34 Speaker 2: She looks incredible. I couldn't believe it. 00:07:39 Speaker 1: She looks like they all look wonderful for their age. But Sondra like, she's seventy five. 00:07:45 Speaker 3: No, like if I didn't really she was seventy five. If you had asked me how old do you think Sondra was, I would have said sixty five. 00:07:52 Speaker 1: I would have said sixty sixty. 00:07:54 Speaker 2: You think she looks fifteen years younger? I mean she looks really good. 00:07:56 Speaker 1: The way she moves, the way she's playing pickleball, I mean she's flying around. 00:08:00 Speaker 2: I know, and she just she looks young. 00:08:02 Speaker 3: She's very like youthful energy, but like still mature. 00:08:07 Speaker 2: I cannot believe. I really can't believe. 00:08:08 Speaker 1: She said, Okay, so how do we feel about Sondra? So Sandra Gary Poles? After what the one team won, which. 00:08:17 Speaker 2: Was the Green it was Ellen and Kathy. 00:08:19 Speaker 1: Yeah, which good for good on Ellen because she truly wanted to win. But the big thing was we see Gary Pulsandra and then mentions that she missed her daughter's wedding. I know, how do you feel about that? 00:08:34 Speaker 3: I mean, at the end of the day, we talked about this a little bit because originally, I mean, we obviously just had our wedding and I was like, I could never imagine not having my mom at my wedding. I honestly don't know if I would be okay with her going on the show and missing my wedding. But at the same time, one we don't know what Sondra and her daughter's relationship is. But two, even if they are super close, like you put it, you some perspective on it where you were like, this is such a once in a live lifetime opportunity. And let's say she goes on the show and she finds love, like that would really be worth it. Like if it was my mom and you know, she had been single for however many years and she goes on the show and she finds like her second live. 00:09:18 Speaker 1: You would be a little mad if she missed your. 00:09:20 Speaker 2: I wouldn't be mad. I would be sad. I would literally just think I want my mom. 00:09:25 Speaker 1: Being sad is fair? I I yeah, I don't know. I would have how I am. I would have been okay with her missing it. I'd say, you know what, you go do that, because yes, that's something that could be great for you. 00:09:39 Speaker 3: But I also think those two things, One you're older than I am, and two you are a boy. 00:09:49 Speaker 1: Okay, I don't know. 00:09:50 Speaker 2: I feel like my mom was with me the whole day, you know, like it. 00:09:53 Speaker 1: Could be different, like like you like your your mother was a was a huge part of your wedding. 00:10:00 Speaker 2: Ex Yes, exactly. 00:10:02 Speaker 3: But I commend her daughter for putting her mom's journey first ahead of her own special day. I think that is very admirable and very selfless, and I. 00:10:15 Speaker 2: Hope it works out. 00:10:16 Speaker 3: And you had to FaceTime her and see her and her new husband, which was a very sweet moment with her and Gary. Yeah. 00:10:21 Speaker 1: Yeah, so I don't know, I just for me. The more incredible thing is that Santo seventy five years old. 00:10:29 Speaker 3: Joe can believe that she missed he darsway, but she can. He can not believe that she's seventy five. 00:10:33 Speaker 1: And then we have a conversation with Teresa and Kathy, which Kathy pulled too. 00:10:37 Speaker 2: Here I was trying to remember this. 00:10:39 Speaker 1: I think Teresa pulled Kathy. 00:10:42 Speaker 2: Okay, yeah, I think you're right, And. 00:10:45 Speaker 1: Listen, I think Teresa's being a little over the top. I think she's she's being annoying with it. But in the same breath, it's kind of like Kathy, like you don't like you don't. I mean, it's not that big of a deal, like you don't have to get that, Like she almost like didn't even let Teresa speak this time round. 00:11:09 Speaker 3: Yeah, it was hard because I've very much been kind of on Kathy's side. I've been able to put myself in her shoes having been the contestant on The Bachelor and been like, yeah, I would feel similarly to Kathy in the situation, especially at the Rose ceremony when you know, Teresa started talking to Kathy about her time with Gary and then started talking about her own time with Gary, and Kathy was kind of like, I literally just told you, please don't do this, like what is going on? But on the pickleball court, you can tell that Kathy kind of takes it one step too far with the way she's talking to Teresa, Like she kind of snaps, and it's like, Okay, you have a right to be frustrated and upset, but you've taken this too far now with the way you're speaking to her and how mad you are at her. And I went from feeling bad for Kathy to now feeling bad for Tree. 00:12:00 Speaker 1: And I feel like Kathy's almost making is she's making this out to be a bigger issue than it is. 00:12:07 Speaker 3: Yeah, at the end of the day, Like, how much is this girl talking about Gary? Like she following you around twenty four to seven, just like talking about her connection with Gary, Like it's probably a couple comments here and there, it's getting under her skin. I think Kathy maybe has a little bit of insecurity about her relationship with Gary, because you know, Teresa's got a one on one and she hasn't, which is possible. Like it's a hard environment to be in, and I just think Teresa and Kathy needs to just not hang out. They just need to stay away from each other. I don't think that, like getting this heated was the solution. 00:12:37 Speaker 1: All this ends up, This ends up backfiring on Kathy because then Teresa tells Gary. Gary talks to Kathy and he's just like nah, Like. 00:12:45 Speaker 3: Like Gary seems pissed at Kathy. He seemed like actually mad. 00:12:50 Speaker 1: Yeah, this is the first time. I think this is the first time all season we've seen Gary mad. Yeah, he looked like he was like I'm mad. 00:12:58 Speaker 2: Now, Yeah, he looked mad. 00:12:59 Speaker 1: He looked mad, and then with some about like a seventy year old man. When you see him mad, you're kind of like, all right, you're you're just like the rest of us. 00:13:08 Speaker 3: I've seen this situation play out on The Bachelor before. It's all looking and feeling very familiar. You know, no matter what. 00:13:15 Speaker 1: Age this, you're no longer the sweet guy Gary. Now we're starting to see other sides of you. 00:13:20 Speaker 2: I think it's good. I want to see more emotions to. 00:13:22 Speaker 1: Gary, of course, and then we go, let's talk to the Leslie Gary day they go on ATV's. I mean, I think they're I think I think she really likes him, which is kind of shocking because it really doesn't seem like Gary is Leslie's tight. 00:13:44 Speaker 2: Yeah, I agree with that. I agree with it. 00:13:46 Speaker 1: I say that we were watching it. 00:13:48 Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm not surprised that they have a connection. They're both nice, genuine cool people. I liked the day. I thought ATVing was really fun. I thought it was cute that Gary was like making her go first. We could like, but I didn't expect them to be this into each other. And I just didn't expect him to be her type. I don't know what I think her type is, but it seems like he's not her type based on what she's say because she's saying, like, I have a bad picker, and I've gone for bad guys in the past. 00:14:15 Speaker 1: Yeah, I feel like her typees like a motorcycle biker guy. But I think Gary also rides a motorcycle or used to ride a motorcycle. 00:14:23 Speaker 2: Yeah, I know Faith does, but I don't know about Gary. 00:14:26 Speaker 1: Yeah, okay, And then we have and then another big thing and this is the first time we saw this so far. Allen tells Gary she's falling in love with him. Yeah. 00:14:45 Speaker 3: They are doing daytime cocktail parties. Now have you noticed that? For a little older I like it. Yeah, it's cute. They get tired quicker. 00:14:53 Speaker 1: You know, I would say they're they're They're probably like, yeah, we're not. We're not saying enough for a cocktail. 00:15:01 Speaker 2: I know, I'm jealous. I would have loved a daytime cocktail party. 00:15:04 Speaker 1: What did you think about Ellen saying that? 00:15:07 Speaker 2: Oh? 00:15:07 Speaker 3: I thought it was beautiful. I mean, like you could tell it was really emotional for both of them. I can't imagine grab oh yeah, which is basically like fall in love with you too without saying it. 00:15:20 Speaker 2: He didn't say it back, did he. 00:15:22 Speaker 1: No, he didn't say it back, Okay, which I'm sure he knows that. He probably shouldn't. There's multiple women there. 00:15:27 Speaker 2: Yeah, we don't. 00:15:27 Speaker 3: We haven't really seen him like fully open up about that to anyone yet. But I thought she did a great job saying it. I thought it was a really sweet moment. I can't imagine how scary that would feel like after being married to someone for so long, to like hear or tell someone else you're falling in love with them. 00:15:43 Speaker 1: Yeah, because then you probably you know, you're probably internally feeling it, and then once once you say it, you're like, ah, no, now I'm there. 00:15:50 Speaker 2: Yeah, I know. 00:15:52 Speaker 1: Our girl Nancy. She calls Gary all so, I don't think you're that into me, and he's like, you're not wrong, I'm not I know. 00:16:00 Speaker 2: I know that was crazy. 00:16:03 Speaker 3: I wasn't the way that got shown to it, like it was in like a montage situation, and all of a sudden, we're on Nancy. 00:16:10 Speaker 2: I'm like, oh, Nancy, we love Nancy, like her and Gary are so cute. 00:16:13 Speaker 3: And she's like, I think you've narrowed it down and I don't think I'm in that group. And he was like, I cannot disagree with you. That is true. 00:16:22 Speaker 1: And I was like looking away when it happened because like you said it was like in a montage and I hear you go, oh, Nancy, I'm like, did Nancy just go home? 00:16:29 Speaker 2: Yeah, she goes home and that's it. 00:16:30 Speaker 3: She's gone, which sucks because I really liked Nancy and I was hoping that they were gonna fall in love with each other but didn't work out. It's interesting because some seasons of the show cast members say we all knew who the leads either favorite was or like top few favorites were, and then some seasons of the show cast members like, we actually had no idea who they were that into or not. And Nancy has just given in a way that Gary definitely has selected and shown to the group his favorites, which I think we could probably guess as well as viewers. 00:17:10 Speaker 2: Basically Teresa, yeah. 00:17:13 Speaker 3: Leslie potentially faith her to tell because we really haven't seen them. 00:17:18 Speaker 2: But I still think they had a really good connection and Ellen. 00:17:22 Speaker 3: And I think they've been obvious kind of front runners for a lot of the season. 00:17:26 Speaker 1: Yeah, and then that's it, and then oh. 00:17:29 Speaker 2: Wait, we have to quickly talk about our girl Susan. 00:17:31 Speaker 1: Well, okay, yeah, talk about Susan. 00:17:34 Speaker 3: We'll talk about it more when we interview her obviously, but Gary gave her a gift. 00:17:38 Speaker 2: He gave her the Rose Courts, which I was. 00:17:41 Speaker 1: Kind of out of nowhere, the gift for Susan. I wasn't expecting that. And he said that she reminds him. 00:17:46 Speaker 3: I thought it was going to be like a meatball or something of his wife. Yeah, he said, rose Quartz signifies empathy and like represents empathy and strength, and he feels she embodies those qualities and those are qualities that his wife also embodied, and she reminds him of his wife, which is like if someone said that to me, I'm like, I, you're obsessed with me, You're in love with me? Like, oh my god, this is really serious, sious. But I don't think they have that strawberry romantic connection. I think it's more of like a respect and friendship if I'm being honest. 00:18:23 Speaker 1: Well, Susan's the only one left that asking because Askin is now down to one woman. 00:18:28 Speaker 2: Oh yeah, April, April, Nancy. 00:18:31 Speaker 1: Nancy, and Kathy. I'll go home. 00:18:33 Speaker 2: I know Susan's the last gal stand in. 00:18:37 Speaker 1: I can't believe April left. Well, we'll see, uh, we'll see what happens. Arah can't wait time. 00:18:42 Speaker 2: Oh my gosh. 00:18:43 Speaker 3: You know it's crazy is all three of them went home this episode? He wiped out asking basically in one foul swoop. 00:18:48 Speaker 2: Yeah, that's crazy. 00:18:51 Speaker 1: Suck. 00:18:53 Speaker 3: No, I know, I just I didn't connect that they all went home in this episode for some reason. 00:18:57 Speaker 1: Well that's because Nancy didn't go home with the Rows ceremony. 00:19:00 Speaker 2: Yes. 00:19:01 Speaker 1: Yes, Jumping a Bachelor in Paradise batter in Paradise is now getting good. 00:19:06 Speaker 2: Yes. 00:19:07 Speaker 3: I feel like the first episode we were kind of like okay, second, okay, third, starting to pick up Now episode four, I'm in it. 00:19:15 Speaker 1: You know why. It's because all the contestants are came down this year and they're playing it super safe. They're very cautious in how they act, what they say. Everybody's being very mindful of other people. And now we're starting to see the castmates lose their shit and it's good. 00:19:33 Speaker 2: Yeah, I think that's got to be what's happening here. 00:19:37 Speaker 1: So first thing we see is Sam. 00:19:42 Speaker 3: Sam walks down the steps from the bedroom to the beach. It is five twenty seven am. First question, Sam, why the heck are you up so early? Second question? She looks in insanely ripped, like I eat a cheeseburger and I look like I'm three months pregnant. This girl is like going on a lot of days no movement and her abs are popping. I don't know if she's still doing like a workout every single day, or like what her secret is or if it's like anti bloat pills, but like I want to know her secret. 00:20:21 Speaker 2: I don't know. 00:20:22 Speaker 1: I hope she's okay, because eleven days without going to the bathroom is a long time. 00:20:27 Speaker 2: Yeah, I feel like. 00:20:28 Speaker 1: Like, what is the record. 00:20:31 Speaker 2: For longest survived no bathroom situation? I don't know. 00:20:36 Speaker 3: I don't know if that would even be something that people would disclose in order for it to be accurately recorded. 00:20:41 Speaker 1: I'm sure it's a record. I'm sure it's like Guinness Book a record somewhere. 00:20:44 Speaker 2: That's crazy. 00:20:46 Speaker 1: But she so she pulls it Aarons and she's like I and she pulls the group and she's sad and everyone seems to really like her. She seems to be very nice. 00:20:55 Speaker 3: I know she's definitely well liked, and I really felt bad for her. I did not think she was going to go home over this, Like I thought they were gonna be like, and you know, her situation changed and now her stomach issues are resolved and she's staying on the beach. 00:21:09 Speaker 1: I mean, it's it's it sounds like it's it's funny, right, it's like a joke. It's like she can't take a shit like ha ha, But it's a medical condition, and clearly it's it's it's serious, like it's an issue. I would be if I was on day ten IULD, I would be freaking out. I'd be like, yeah, I can't, I can't stay here and try to make a connection with somebody. Yeah. 00:21:29 Speaker 3: Well, one hand, she probably is physically super uncomfortable. She probably just emotionally uncomfortable because everyone on the beach is talking about it. 00:21:36 Speaker 2: Like, I don't know. 00:21:37 Speaker 3: If I was in her position, I'd be like, I don't feel sexy, I feel really distracted. 00:21:41 Speaker 2: This is a stressful environment. 00:21:42 Speaker 3: Now for me, it's Mexico, so I'm not like I'm not eating my normal diet. Like I would also be like I need to go home. Like I don't blame her for her decision, Oh, I would do the same thing. 00:21:54 Speaker 1: I feel bad for it because, like I said, I just feel like it's I think some people watch it like, oh, can't poop poop baby Haha, funny, but realistically it's like the socks. Yeah, it's really just. 00:22:07 Speaker 2: And I feel bad for aaron S too. 00:22:08 Speaker 3: I thought Aarons might have left with her, but he's also probably like, I'm. 00:22:12 Speaker 2: Just gonna give her her space and her privacy. 00:22:15 Speaker 1: Right that though. 00:22:16 Speaker 3: Is it too early to leave with someone? Yeah, I mean they've been together since day one. We're at the beginning of what week two when she leaves. 00:22:25 Speaker 2: That's pretty so now it's too early. They they haven't. They haven't been hanging out that long to where he's gonna like leave. 00:22:30 Speaker 1: With her because you got to figure two. 00:22:32 Speaker 2: Like there's still so much time one. 00:22:34 Speaker 1: They might not even have really. 00:22:36 Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, no, no I don't. I don't. Yeah, you're right, too student to leave with her for sure. 00:22:41 Speaker 1: Okay, So now we got a guy comes down. He's a nervous wreck, but all the girls are are really excited to see him. Is John Henry from Charity season and yeah, all the girls are are kind of going crazy. 00:22:58 Speaker 3: He's an underwater welder with Jesse says is the most dangerous profession. 00:23:03 Speaker 1: Yeah, I feel for him because he's a nervous racking, and see when he gets a day card and he's shaken when he opens it. He pulls a few women. He pulls Kat, who we could talk a lot about Kat. Yeah, but she seems to she seems open to it, at least from what we're seeing of potentially going on a date with John Henry watching that conversation, but I think she would still say yes. 00:23:31 Speaker 2: Yeah, I would have been interested because she had just. 00:23:33 Speaker 3: Gone on a date with Tanner, right, Yeah, So I'm curious to see if she would have gone on the date with John Henry if he had asked her or not. 00:23:42 Speaker 1: Kylie said she was open to it. 00:23:45 Speaker 2: Yeah, which I was surprised about. 00:23:46 Speaker 3: But then I guess, you know, I feel like as much as we see these couples were like, oh, like they're so good, they're so locked in, Like I think her and Even are in a really good place. But I just don't think they're in the place yet where they're like work where shutting it down, we're not dating other people. 00:24:01 Speaker 1: Yeah, and I guess it is it is earlier. 00:24:04 Speaker 2: Yeah, and Even didn't come down right away, remember. 00:24:09 Speaker 1: Yeah, And then we uh, and then he pulls Olivia. 00:24:14 Speaker 2: Yes. 00:24:15 Speaker 1: He then he takes Olivia on the date. 00:24:17 Speaker 3: I know, I was surprised about that, but at the same time, I feel like I've having seen Olivia talk to him. She does have like a confidence to her where I feel like he is very nervous. He had a lot of nervous energy, like compared it to you, and I like, you had such nervous energy on the first day because you were freaking out, and I feel like I was pretty like calm and was we were able to have like good conversation like through you freaking out. And I feel like that's kind of what happened with Olivia and John Henry. And she's pretty, she's beautiful. 00:24:48 Speaker 1: Yeah no, But do you think John Henry's decision was was was influenced at all by the fact that the other two women, one was dating Evan and the other one was dating Tanner. And he looks at those guys. 00:25:03 Speaker 2: And thinks, I don't want to stir the pot. 00:25:05 Speaker 1: I don't want to stir the pot, and maybe I don't. I'm friends with Tanner, I don't really want to compete with Avan, but will in pilot Pete why not? 00:25:19 Speaker 3: I mean, maybe I honestly didn't think about that at all. I just thought, Oh, they have the best connection. That was that. 00:25:25 Speaker 1: That's what I think is going on in Paradise. 00:25:27 Speaker 3: You think there's a lot of people that are super afraid to step on each other's toes just across the board. 00:25:32 Speaker 2: I agree. 00:25:33 Speaker 3: I think there's a lot of situations that have been caused because the guys and the girls. More so, the guys are like, that's my bro, Like I'm not going for his girl. 00:25:44 Speaker 1: And I and I think a lot of people are just insecure and scared, scared to do it, and I just I feel like that. I feel like that's what's starting to crumble, and that's why the show is now getting more interesting. 00:25:57 Speaker 2: I like that. I like that theory. 00:25:58 Speaker 3: But I also liked that John Ray took Olivia on this date because I feel like Olivia in the beginning of Paradise, with the whole will Kylie thing, was a lot like it was like you got to bring it down a few not's girlfriend, like we just got here, this is too much. 00:26:14 Speaker 2: But she's now turned into like this very hilarious narrator for the show, and she's like very entertaining to watch and listen to. So watching her and John Henry on this date was great because he was so freaked out, and I feel like she was a good person to like almost balance him out to make the date fun. 00:26:33 Speaker 1: Yeah, I agree. And how about what was I gonna say about? How about Olivia and Pete haven't even kissed? 00:26:42 Speaker 2: Yeah, that was that was shocking to me. 00:26:44 Speaker 1: So they have been, They're not that serious friends at this point. 00:26:50 Speaker 2: That could maybe go. 00:26:51 Speaker 3: I think Olivia going on the date made Peter realize, you know, maybe I actually have romantic feelings for her because I missed her a lot, or maybe. 00:26:58 Speaker 1: It just made Peter like, hey, now you have competition. You have to step up if you want to continuously get a rose. 00:27:04 Speaker 3: Maybe, or like I feel like a little competition, a little jealousy sometimes like brings out those feelings. 00:27:10 Speaker 1: Yeah. So then we get another drop. John b arrives and he grabs Eliza and just notice Eliza called. She goes, but she goes to talk to him. She calls Aaron babe, Yeah him babe? 00:27:26 Speaker 2: Oh no, no, no, she not. 00:27:28 Speaker 3: When he pulled her when she got asked on the date, he said, yeah, can I just talk to Aaron first? And she said, like, let's go talk over here. Babe or something like that. If I'm Aaron Gee, I'm like, do not. 00:27:40 Speaker 2: Babe me right now? Do not babe me right now? 00:27:43 Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't. I don't care. Like whatever. If if Eliza wants to go on to the date, fine, but it's for Eliza. It's kind of like you're saying you didn't give yourself this chance last time. But that's exactly what you did. And also the reason you went on a date with Justin was because Rodney didn't tell Your reasoning was Rodney didn't tell you not to go, and then you seem to be more into Aaron b. He tells you not to go and you still go. Yeah. 00:28:17 Speaker 3: No, Like I was on the edge of my seat from the moment John b pulled Eliza to the moment she left for that date. I was on the edge of my seat because for those who watched last season, you know, for those who didn't, Eliza was in a love triangle. She was dating Rodney. Justin came down wanted to take her on a date. She did the same thing where she like was like, I want to explore talk to Rodney about it, and Rodney was. 00:28:40 Speaker 2: Like, do what you want? 00:28:42 Speaker 3: Yeah, Like, I don't like, I'll be sad, but like, I respect your decision. And she was basically like, I wanted him to tell me not to go, and if he told me don't go on this date, I would have stayed. But because he didn't fight for me, I went on the date and it created the messiest situation I've ever seen. She comes down, she's bawling on day two because Aaron B kissed Mercedes on day one and now he's talking to Eliza and she's like freaking out. She sent me a full panic attack, which we sympathized with. We were like, poor Eliza. She's in a love triangle again. Poor Eliza. She gets out of it real quick, and now she's putting herself back in another potential love triangle. I was like, what is going on? She literally came down her whole thing. I just want to meet one person. I want to focus on one person. And that changed within a matter of days and she's off on this date with John B. Like I literally am shocked. 00:29:37 Speaker 1: And her reasoning too, is like like I look, that's what I didn't get. It's like, yeah, I didn't. I didn't give myself this chance last last time. It's like this is exactly what you. 00:29:46 Speaker 2: Did, Like yeah, like what do you mean you didn't give yourself this chance? 00:29:48 Speaker 3: Like this chance is what you took and you ruined your whole experience like Aaron B. 00:29:55 Speaker 2: And Aaron B was like, I don't want you to go, Like I hope you don't go. 00:30:00 Speaker 1: And she goes and she has She seems to have a good time with John B. They're making out, they're having fun. 00:30:07 Speaker 3: Crazy move, just shocking, like across the board for so many reasons. 00:30:11 Speaker 1: But whatever, Hot Sean, you know he's still trying to go for Jess. Well he's still he's still taking his chance. Right when he does that, everything falls apart for Sean because. 00:30:33 Speaker 2: Then wait, can we just go back for a second? 00:30:36 Speaker 3: Hot shod shot is shot with Jess the first day, Okay, she wasn't into it. He tried again in the true circle. No, nothing came of that, and now he's trying for his third time. I mean, you gotta respect the persisted. 00:30:50 Speaker 1: Well, what he needs is he needs a hard yes. 00:30:55 Speaker 3: Yeah, he needs a hard yes or a hard note because for him, it's like he's like I'm trying and she's not shutting it down. 00:31:01 Speaker 1: Or maybe something's there. 00:31:03 Speaker 3: Yeah, maybe she just like doesn't want to hurt Blake's feelings or like yeah, So then. 00:31:08 Speaker 1: We see Braiden is like, Okay, well if he doesn't care about Rachel, I'm going to go I'm going to talk to Rachel. M H. 00:31:18 Speaker 3: And I mean, at this point, I don't think anyone really thinks that hot Sean and Rachel are endgame. I think they seem to just have like a good connection going for the time being. But like after the Truth Circle, like we saw them have a convo where they were like we're open and he was she was like you should kiss Jess, like you should explore her all that sho. 00:31:37 Speaker 1: We feel about how getting mad at Braiden for doing that, because essentially that's what Hotean just did the Blake with Jess. 00:31:44 Speaker 3: What do you mean, No, I don't think. I don't think he was mad at Braiden for going for Rachel. I think he was mad at Braiden for outing him for what he was saying about Rachel, because basically what happened was Sean was going, I guess to the guys or the group and saying, Rachel's super into me. And I just don't know how I feel about her, which I don't buy for one second based on what we've seen, and Braiden went and basically I don't know if Braiden was intentionally bringing this up. He kind of played it off like he didn't mean to, but it kind of feels like he did mean to, oh for sure, because I think he was trying to test the watter to be like, well, Seawan says, you're into him, so I don't want to, like, you know, get shut down. 00:32:28 Speaker 2: But I don't know. I really think had. 00:32:31 Speaker 1: To do that, though. I think Rachel would have been open to talking to Branden regardless of what hot Shawn was saying or not. 00:32:39 Speaker 2: I think so too. 00:32:40 Speaker 3: I think if you just went over and was like, hey, Shawn's talking to Jess and I see my end, would you be open to going and having a chat, like I'd love to get to know you better. I don't think he needed to like bring that up. But at the same time, it made for a very entertaining moment between Rachel and Shawn on the beach where she kind of breams him out, which I feel like was a little bit well deserved. 00:32:59 Speaker 1: Yeah, and then we see that the truth Box another truth truth Box, Truth circle, everyone's telling the truth on the show, Aaron B. 00:33:07 Speaker 3: SMAs, Oh wait, can we go back to the kava with Sean and Rachel for one more second? 00:33:11 Speaker 1: Yeah? 00:33:11 Speaker 2: Okay, So Sean. 00:33:15 Speaker 3: Says to Rachel he's not into Jess right after, Yeah, he's lying. 00:33:20 Speaker 2: She hit on Jazz. 00:33:21 Speaker 1: Yeah, he's well, he knows now he stands no chance with Jess. So what's the point of even admitting it. 00:33:26 Speaker 2: How do you think Jess handled the kava between her and Sean thought? 00:33:30 Speaker 1: I thought she handled it well. 00:33:32 Speaker 3: Yeah, I could tell she was super nervous and uncomfortable, but I think she she did a good job. 00:33:36 Speaker 1: She seems sweet where she doesn't and this is probably not going to work in her favor. But I think Jess has a very hard time hurting other people, of hurting other people and just kind of going after what she wants. 00:33:49 Speaker 2: One hundred percent. She yeah, one hundred percent. 00:33:52 Speaker 3: I think that is that kava with her and Sean is like some foreshadowing of how her journey might go, because I feel like when you're in Paradise, the people that struggle the most are the people that are trying to appease everyone around them, like not step on their friends toes, you know, not hurt any of the guys. Whereas the people that are like, look, I'm not into I'm so sorry, Like I like you, but I'm really into Blake or whatever. 00:34:13 Speaker 2: Like a little more direct tend to get what they want more. 00:34:16 Speaker 1: Yeah, definitely, so the truth box gets broken. Truth Box the Walls was very funny with it. I thought it was a little underwhelming. I think the main the biggest things we saw was Branden. You know, well the Brandon Braiden pulled. That's when Brandon pulled Rachel. 00:34:32 Speaker 2: I thought that was cute the way he did it. 00:34:34 Speaker 3: Yeah, he just put a bunch of truths being like Braiden and Rachel should make out. 00:34:37 Speaker 2: And I was like, that is a great move. That's actually very smooth. 00:34:40 Speaker 1: That was smart. And then we see Cat screaming in her interviews, and like half the beach hairs her and she's screaming that she's she's charismatic. 00:34:51 Speaker 2: She's always screaming that she's charismatic. 00:34:53 Speaker 1: Yeah, Cat cats, she. 00:34:56 Speaker 2: Flips it on errands. 00:34:58 Speaker 3: Yeah, us, she just from what we see of Kat, she struggles to regulate her negative emotions. Once they're out, they're flying everywhere and she's going off in her itms like just absolutely. 00:35:16 Speaker 1: Great to watch freaking out. 00:35:18 Speaker 3: I've become much more into the show since Kat has started freaking out in her IM. 00:35:22 Speaker 2: So that's all I'll say. 00:35:23 Speaker 1: Yeah, she's really uh, she's really making the show entertaining right now, Okay, and then we're we're gonna get a row ceremony. But we do see a teaser for next week where a girl does come down, which would potentially save someone like Aaron B. Hotchew. You see hot Schean praying for someone to come. 00:35:43 Speaker 2: Down, John B. 00:35:44 Speaker 3: Aaron asked, we've got a couple guys that were not one hundred percent share, not one hundred percent sure where some of the guys rose are coming down? 00:35:51 Speaker 2: Who do you think it is? I actually have no idea. 00:35:54 Speaker 1: I don't know. I don't know. But we'll see that. That wraps it. That wraps the recap. Later this week, stay tuned. We got Susan, we got hot Sewan, so we're gonna ask him about everything that went down with him and Braden him and Rachel him and Jess what you know he quit his job? 00:36:12 Speaker 2: I know, yeah, I saw that. 00:36:14 Speaker 1: Is he unemployed? Is he working? We're gonna find all that out, Make sure you guys stay tuned. Subscribe. If you're not subscribing, and I think that's it, anything else you might say bye,
