Okay, I mean you don't have to say. But I've actually enjoyed it. I've been door dashing. I've been the door dasher that brings.

00:01:41
Speaker 2: You your orders.

00:01:42
Speaker 4: You've been door dashers. It's like October. When were you gonna tell us this?

00:01:46
Speaker 1: You know, I figured out sooner or later somebody would say something to you. But it's actually it's it's a lot of fun. I enjoy it.

00:01:52
Speaker 4: You pick up some extra money, but I enjoyed it. So you're doing it.

00:01:55
Speaker 3: You were explaining, you've got like a lot of big things that happened in you have to take care of, yes, a lot of bills, and so you've picked up that that as an extra job.

00:02:06
Speaker 4: I did not know how how's that go? Like? I don't I've never known anybody that does that? Do you like? What? What's it like? Well?

00:02:14
Speaker 1: You have to You got an app and you sign in making it see if they need dashers okay called dashers, and if they need a dasher, you sign in and then boom, you just start getting orders in your area. Like I got three areas Georgetown, Lexington, South Lexington, those are my three areas.

00:02:29
Speaker 4: Do you uh do you enjoy it?

00:02:31
Speaker 1: I enjoy it if it actually fun? I delivered to jagger Burton one day, went to canes. He ordered canes by the way.

00:02:36
Speaker 4: I mean, you went to jagger Burton. What was that like? It was fun?

00:02:39
Speaker 2: It's like, hey, what are you doing that? How you doing so?

00:02:43
Speaker 4: So? Do you? Uh so? Do people tip you? Well? Sometimes sometimes you get zero.

00:02:47
Speaker 1: Sometimes I get a really good tip, but I got really mad the other day I got zero. You got zero on like a forty five dollars forty five minutes it took me to fulfill his zero zero.

00:02:57
Speaker 2: It did almost an hour worth of work and got zero tip.

00:03:00
Speaker 4: But you get something from door dash, Yeah.

00:03:03
Speaker 2: You get a little every order.

00:03:04
Speaker 1: You get something from DoorDash, But you make most of your money on the tips.

00:03:08
Speaker 3: Well, I hope if someone listening get you, I hope they give you a big tip. I would give you a big tip. I you I give pretty good. What I don't understand is how DoorDash the tips they suggest to you.

00:03:19
Speaker 4: You know, they suggest amounts, do they see I don't see it on your If they widely.

00:03:23
Speaker 3: Vary the amounts they'll suggest, they'll suggest like two dollars, and then another time they'll suggest like eight dollars, and then they'll suggest And I never know how they decide what they're gonna suggest or you know what I mean. Oh, though it's just a percentage, No, Sometimes I feel like it has something to do with also how far they go, because I think there's a I think they I think it's a difference with how far they go. But you know, your name is gonna pop up on people's thing. It also has your picture.

00:03:49
Speaker 4: With your order.

00:03:50
Speaker 2: But I don't know. I would asked yesterday, and I'm actually very mad that it was Trent.

00:03:54
Speaker 4: So can I request you? I don't think you can.

00:03:57
Speaker 1: I think it's you know, they I get the order depending on where I'm located at the time. So if I'm like in Georgetown, I'm not gonna get an order for you in Lexington.

00:04:05
Speaker 4: Okay.

00:04:05
Speaker 2: Yeah, I kind of wish that I had learned this with just you at my front door.

00:04:09
Speaker 4: That would have been a great surprise.

00:04:11
Speaker 2: That would have been a good surprise that delivered it.

00:04:12
Speaker 4: Drew.

00:04:13
Speaker 2: If you should not be embarrassary shamed. Does someone of you serve food? Lots of people DoorDash. There's absolutely nothing wrong with you DoorDash and make a little extra money.

00:04:19
Speaker 1: Actually, I enjoy It's kind of fun. I'm gonna do it this afternoon.

00:04:22
Speaker 3: But you know, I mean, you're like you what you're dealing with what a lot of people do, which is the I mean you, I know what you make on this show, and and for people who don't know, you do make a good amount of money on this show.

00:04:34
Speaker 1: But like things happen in oh Amen. Yeah, I had a hospital visit. I've got attorney bills, I've got a credit card bill. I mean it's it's kind of got out of hand. So I gotta do some things to kind of chip away that.

00:04:47
Speaker 4: I'm proud of you.

00:04:48
Speaker 3: Well, if I end up getting you, uh, I will tip you big. But I do have a question because I feel like I know you pretty well. Have you reached into a bag and gotten a fry out at some point?

00:05:02
Speaker 4: No, because they actually they put a sticker on it.

00:05:04
Speaker 1: They fold the bag over and put a DoorDash sticker on it to keep you from opening the bag.

00:05:09
Speaker 3: And you've never like thought it smelled good. Oh, it definitely smells good.

00:05:13
Speaker 1: You go buy a city barbecue, you pick up a bunch of barbecue, like, whoa, that smells really good.

00:05:18
Speaker 2: Yeah, wait for someone to DoorDash ks bar and Ryan's their delivery guy.

00:05:22
Speaker 4: That'll be it. That would be a good Yeah. I did learn something.

00:05:25
Speaker 2: You know.

00:05:26
Speaker 4: There's a DoorDash store down here.

00:05:27
Speaker 1: On It's where that Walgreens is right yeah, over here in front of the old Campbell.

00:05:32
Speaker 4: I'll tell you something about that store real quick.

00:05:34
Speaker 3: So sometimes I get up early in the morning, I go grab breakfast and I will sit in a parking lot and play in the show. Yeah, okay, sometimes and today I was doing that right across the street from that, uh, from that place, and there were there were uh, Brian Lane, just gave me Brian Lane in the house an hour you there were there were eight unmarked police cars that all came pulling out at once. The moment they pulled out on Harrisburg Road, they turned their lights on and went racing down the road, eight of them, and they were white like SUVs. And they came one after another right from that home depot. You know where the home depot is. I don't know what's over there, but I'm just gonna tell you something's over there at that home depot. Now, they weren't like they weren't investigating the home depot because they went flying.

00:06:34
Speaker 4: Down Harrisburg Road towards like out of town.

00:06:38
Speaker 3: But there were eight of them, and they came one after another after another, and then the moment they would pull in Harrisburg, they turned their lights on, eight of them at like nine to thirty in the morning.

00:06:49
Speaker 2: It was obviously a raider. They're what is over.

00:06:52
Speaker 4: There next to the home depot where there would be where they all would be? Why would they all be over there?

00:06:57
Speaker 2: Might where they just parked being a big parking wait their signal.

00:07:00
Speaker 4: Wait for the signal. Yeah, probably need a big area. It was wild.

00:07:03
Speaker 3: There literally were like it was again, eight of them all right, speaking of I asked everybody the numbers that they that they thought we needed to win. The average number seems to be either six or seven. But there are a bunch of sevens. So I think five. Like you may be the one person that says five, right, I think six and six or seven is going to be the number for stoops next year.

00:07:26
Speaker 1: Yeah, I said six, but I could be talked into five if they had like a really good game against Texas Georgia, like you know some of those powerhouse teams, you play them well.

00:07:35
Speaker 4: All right, So let's talk just a second about snow. All right.

00:07:38
Speaker 3: They're saying it could be anywhere from three inches to over a foot on Sunday. The models, which, by the way, I saw a model that I wanted to post, and I was worrying Mark Weinberg.

00:07:54
Speaker 4: Would come stab me. Be careful, so I did not post it.

00:07:57
Speaker 3: But I saw model basically like our state is ground zero, and like it looks like no matter what happens, a third of our state is getting drenched. A third of our state's getting very little, and a third is getting ice, which may be worse than the snow, And like it seems to keep shifting who's getting what. As of right now, it looks like that you're gonna have the people to the north of us getting the snow, us maybe getting the ice, and people to the south of us kind of right in the middle somewhere. But it could shift, apparently, like it could go. It might be the south of US gets the hard part, we get the like we don't know, but it seems like Sunday and it's all day Sunday. It looks like it's what's happening.

00:08:43
Speaker 1: I keep hearing them talk about it that's coming in. You may have seen this. It could get down to a low of four degrees.

00:08:49
Speaker 3: They said it could be as low as zero on Sunday night with negative fifteen wind chill, which we haven't seen apparently in Lexington in like a decade.

00:09:02
Speaker 1: Then I think this is just the beginning. I think the whole month of January could be nasty wintery stuff.

00:09:07
Speaker 3: Most of them is that in farmer farmers all yeah, so uh, I mean, this is like it's this crazy stuff.

00:09:13
Speaker 4: So how are you gonna prepare. I'm gonna DoorDash.

00:09:16
Speaker 3: This is your wheelhouse, seriously, and let me say, snow is probably when you would get your biggest tip tips.

00:09:24
Speaker 4: Do you have a car that can navigate that? I do not? Okay, can I borrow yours? No?

00:09:32
Speaker 2: Although you you wait a minute, Yeah, you've got that car.

00:09:34
Speaker 4: Can do it. I don't know if i'd trust it going out in deep snow.

00:09:39
Speaker 3: Okay, Well, well either way, are you gonna like go to the grocery store, Drew and get prepared?

00:09:45
Speaker 2: I was already have a grocery trip today because I need one, but I the whole trip's change. It is now a preparation change.

00:09:51
Speaker 4: Yeah.

00:09:52
Speaker 3: So, so apparently tonight all the weather people say they'll have a better idea tonight, which I guess would be true every day they'll have a better idea than they did the day before. But uh, but we'll find out. Will that affect Monday morning.

00:10:04
Speaker 2: It's already a big show, you know, with you kind of a fringe employee here, you know, Ron and I are gonna have to dig our way to Chaos Bar and do it.

00:10:11
Speaker 4: That's true.

00:10:12
Speaker 3: I mean I can walk if I have to to Kaos Bar. You all better be here. I'll tell you that you better be here Monday. I'll be here Monday. The question is Tuesday. That's that's the question. Who's up next?

00:10:23
Speaker 2: Free bird?

00:10:24
Speaker 4: Free Bird? How are you?

00:10:26
Speaker 5: Hey, guys? Happy New Year. I've got an off the wall question. And I don't even know if it's a possibility. With the strong as these super conferences are in football, especially SEC, is there any possible way where it would be discussed if Kentucky moved to another conference or possibly would go independent like Notre Dame. No.

00:10:46
Speaker 4: I didn't think so.

00:10:47
Speaker 3: Kentucky will never leave the SEC, because it'd be like saying, hey, would you leave your job making five million a year to make one million a year at a less prestigious company?

00:11:00
Speaker 4: Going to do that?

00:11:01
Speaker 3: Right? I mean, that's that's what Kentucky's Kentucky's not leaving the SEC. Kentucky's not going independent.

00:11:08
Speaker 4: You know.

00:11:09
Speaker 3: The SEC at some point, I'm sure will grow larger. But there's a couple of school you know. I always say Vandy and Mississippi State should send a thank you note for the rest of their lives to Heaven for the fact that they're in the SEC. Kentucky's because of their basketball tradition is a little different, but we will never leave the sec No.

00:11:27
Speaker 5: So then we've got to have bookoos the money because you know, we can't keep up with the traditional past.

00:11:33
Speaker 3: See, I don't think it's the money. It's interesting you say that, and I appreciate the call because I had this conversation with someone who I think is very, very, very smart nationally about college football, and we were talking about the future. This was their take. I'd be interested to see if you agree. This is a person all of you know, respected Nashley who said the problem for the Kentuckys of the world used to be tradition for facilities. That's not really a problem anymore. Then the problem was nil money. With the new settlement that's coming, basically all the schools are gonna have the same amount of money pretty much. Some schools will be able to go over the top a little bit, but for the most part, everybody's gonna have money. So they said, they don't even think it's money anymore. Now it's just tradition and placing guys in the NFL. And the premise this person was telling me was Kentucky will have a better chance of being competitive in the SEC if they get the right coach in the right system and all that now then has ever been the case before? And that they said that's true of every school. That now the money, which has always been the great divide, is not gonna be as weird as it sounds. If everybody has money, then the money isn't a problem. Run Does that make sense?

00:12:58
Speaker 2: Makes total sense? Yeah, So I'm gonna ask you this.

00:13:01
Speaker 1: So, like at a school at Kentucky where basketball maybe gets the most notoriety, do they get a little more money.

00:13:07
Speaker 4: No, they have to just take it from football.

00:13:10
Speaker 3: But a lot of people believe that the amount of money it takes to be good at basketball isn't like this is what I mean.

00:13:19
Speaker 4: Told. At least Kentucky will, out of its.

00:13:22
Speaker 3: Official twenty two million, Yeah, give a little bit more to basketball than other schools, but most of the basketball in iw money is still gonna come from donors, and like it won't have a huge effect. Okay, for all these schools, almost all the money's coming from from to football anyway.

00:13:40
Speaker 2: Yeah, a lot of it is just gonna be you're talking about tradition and stuff. At least Stoops gave us a little bit of a bump from what Kentucky football was because I think a lot of this is just gonna be logo recognition with these kids and just knowing the school. NFL will be a big part of it. You mentioned that, but at least Kentucky's had some recent success, a little bit known Nashally. They're not a powerhouse, but better than they were going ano this era.

00:14:00
Speaker 4: I think.

00:14:02
Speaker 3: I still think it's gonna be really hard to compete for Kentucky. But I think somebody, you know, you used to hear me talk about the barrier to Kentucky. We didn't produce a lot of local talent, right, Well we still don't, but local talent is not the big thing anymore because you're getting transfers.

00:14:18
Speaker 4: Like I mean, think about our last three or four years.

00:14:23
Speaker 3: Most of our best players came from somewhere else, right, Yeah, you know, I don't know. I mean, we'll see what when we're watching the National Championship game. I'll be fascinated, Ryan whenever who's playing it, to see how many of the starting lineup for each teams started at that school.

00:14:39
Speaker 4: That'll be interesting to see. I don't know what the answer will be, but it'll be.

00:14:42
Speaker 2: Yea, Samuel's guys they actually recruited in.

00:14:44
Speaker 3: How many of them did they actually recruit and develop? And how many of them did they bring in at some point. I don't know what the answer will be, but we'll we'll see DraftKings tonight. Let's do our Draft Kings special segment tonight. You got Georgia and Notre Dame. It's at four o'clock from the Sugar Bowl. You go to drafting. It's bet to back to bet five, get two hundred dollars, back to the two hundred dollars bonus. Use my promo code KSR. Who do you like today? Georgia and not to day?

00:15:10
Speaker 2: It is still one point? It was a one point spread.

00:15:13
Speaker 4: I think I saw one and a half at one point one and a half.

00:15:15
Speaker 1: I mean, I know we've got gunners stocked in as the quarterback, but I'm still going Georgia.

00:15:19
Speaker 4: You're going it is uh Notre Dame by one.

00:15:22
Speaker 2: I'm taking Georgia, going with the Irish. I parlayed all four games. I'm three for three. I need the Irish to cash my tickets. So going Notre Dame.

00:15:31
Speaker 3: George is winning SEC big ten, gonna be the last two team, four teams left. I think that's gonna be the case most of the years in this playoff system. I think Georgia gets the victory and sets up what should be two really good playoff games. Uh in the semi fin.

00:15:45
Speaker 1: I think so to Notre Dame did look good and then he dismantled Indiana. But I think that's because Indiana really wasn't that good of it.

00:15:50
Speaker 3: I think George is just gonna have a lot better players when you get to that point. We will take a break and be right back here at KOs Bars, Kentucky Sports Radio work about it is Kentucky Sports Radio here live at the Chas Bar and Gril. Come on out, have lunch. We have lunch specials all day tonight. You can also watch the games here four and seven.

00:16:11
Speaker 4: Saturday. We will open at nine for the football game.

00:16:14
Speaker 3: Open early, serve breakfast, or by see me basketball game which is at eleven am against Florida. One person writes, Matt, I want to say something.

00:16:22
Speaker 4: I want you to.

00:16:23
Speaker 3: Read this for Ryan. So okay, all right, this will be my KSR the Kentucky Braided the tweet of the day. I'm proud of Ryan being transparent about real life is commendable. That's why I love him. If I get him on door dash, he'll get the biggest tip that's ever happened in live.

00:16:42
Speaker 4: Yeah.

00:16:43
Speaker 1: All right, well I'll be working this afternoon, sir. If you want to try to order here, and like I.

00:16:47
Speaker 4: Feel like they should let you pick like I would select you.

00:16:51
Speaker 2: Well, you can type special requests. Maybe the driver will get it and I'll just type where you go find Ryan?

00:16:56
Speaker 4: You go find Ryan.

00:16:57
Speaker 1: One thing I did learn, like if you do it here in the lextenn are you get a lot of college kids?

00:17:02
Speaker 2: They don't tip?

00:17:03
Speaker 4: Oh?

00:17:04
Speaker 3: Ask the people that serve at this restaurant shouldn't know that. The college kids, y'all. I like college Like you guys are good kids. But you know what, you don't tip your servers? Yeah, tip your drivers like you'll you'll want you'll wish you did it later in life and all life comes full circle at some point. I don't mean to bring the mood down, but the story in Laurel County is awful. Yeah, I mean, like, have you have you heard about this droom so that they U police were serving a warrant? Now I could be wrong about this, and please correct me if I am. But it was for a stolen weed eater. Is that what we're talking about? That was part of it. I don't know if that was the only thing that was definitely part of it? Was it was there more important?

00:17:47
Speaker 2: I don't know, Actually, I don't know.

00:17:49
Speaker 3: Well either way, at least part of it was a stolen weed eater served it, served it to the wrong house, had the number wrong on the house, bust in and ended up killing a guy who was just at his house who was worried that people were busting in, got a gun and then you know, and he ends up getting killed.

00:18:11
Speaker 4: Just a terrible, terrible story.

00:18:14
Speaker 3: And you know, there are some I don't want to say things that aren't official, but there's some things that suggest maybe the reason it was served was because the weed eaters with somebody that's in a position of power. Otherwise because it doesn't feel like you should be busting into.

00:18:29
Speaker 4: People's houses for weed eaters.

00:18:32
Speaker 3: Now, maybe there's something we don't know right, Like there might be saying I want to be clear about that. Sometimes what you read and the initial like reports may or may not be true. We saw that with the guy in New Orleans. Initially people said he crossed the border illegally. Turned out he was an American citizen. Like sometimes you get like it's wrong. But to me, you don't go busting in people's house for a weed eater in the middle of the night.

00:18:57
Speaker 4: To me, am I wrong? Oh, you're right. That's why there's eleven fifty at night. You can't come do that during the day.

00:19:06
Speaker 1: And if I'm in my house and somebody bangs in my door, busting out eleven fifty. If if I've got a gun, I'm protect trying to protect myself too. Think you don't know what's coming at you.

00:19:13
Speaker 4: But he the guy ends up getting killed, then he got killed. Go it's I mean, it's awful right at home by himself. Yep. Probably Again, I'm I want to be clear.

00:19:24
Speaker 3: I'm open to hearing something that can convince me the other way. I'm not being definitive on this, but if the facts are then it was a stolen weed eater. Look, do mistakes happen with warrants?

00:19:39
Speaker 4: Yes? Is it should they not? Yes? People make mistakes. I get that, But what do you do.

00:19:45
Speaker 3: I don't care if it's the guy who stole the weed eater, what are you doing busting.

00:19:49
Speaker 4: In their house at midnight for a stolen weed eater.

00:19:53
Speaker 1: If it's weed eater, only, don't you just wait till the next morning? Just ring the door, ring the doorbell. Excuse me, sir.

00:19:58
Speaker 4: Now again, maybe there's some else.

00:20:00
Speaker 2: That's the rumor there was something else in.

00:20:02
Speaker 3: But even if there is something else, it doesn't help the guy who was shot.

00:20:06
Speaker 4: That's still awful.

00:20:07
Speaker 3: No matter what I mean, you gotta get Apparently the address was repeated. They have taped five times in the conversation. The address was repeated incorrectly, over and over.

00:20:18
Speaker 4: Was it? Yeah? And it was like four ninety five and five fifteen.

00:20:23
Speaker 3: It wasn't even like it wasn't one of those like five nineteen, five ninety one or whatever.

00:20:28
Speaker 4: Like, I don't know.

00:20:29
Speaker 3: It's terrible story in Laurel County. And you know, I mean, not much else you can say except it's terrible. Who's up next, Sean?

00:20:38
Speaker 4: Sean? What's up? Sean?

00:20:40
Speaker 6: Hey, guys, good morning, Three quick ones. I don't know what the number is for the football five or six. I'm not sure where the six game comes from. But even let's say they win first three and they're going ready to start the conference play. I'm calling this the Red Octobers that if they get run out of the field during Georgia, Texas and Tennessee, I don't care how good they look the first four games, those three games are gonna be critical.

00:21:12
Speaker 3: Yeah, but disagree with why to me? Okay, Georgia, Texas and Tennessee are the three hardest games we play.

00:21:21
Speaker 4: Why are you?

00:21:22
Speaker 3: I mean, let's just to use your example, Let's say we were gonna go nine and three and then we get run off the field Georgia, Texas and Tennessee.

00:21:29
Speaker 4: You'd still be mad about that.

00:21:32
Speaker 6: I just that's that's the question mark of the effort and the leadership that that's what I'm gonna be watching for. Are those kids laying down? I mean, if they're out there, you know, busting their teeth and filling up put buckets. Okay, good, that's fine. But I'm just saying there's a chance right there that all the good effort and all the good coaching that they do previous to the October it could all be for not if they go out there and they and they Yeah, I mean I.

00:21:57
Speaker 3: Feel like they played Georgia, Texas and Tennessee. Those were three of their better performances this year.

00:22:03
Speaker 4: Honestly.

00:22:04
Speaker 3: I mean, you know, Georgia, we lost by one. They were competitive in the game at Tennessee. I don't know that they were competitive at Texas, but I didn't feel like they Hey, I didn't feel like they laid down. The problem for me was South Carolina. The problem for me was Louisville. The problem for me was Vandy. You know, and I appreciate the call. They do have those three games right in a row, but look, they'll beat the three stinky teams. They've got to find three more wins. Vandy on the road, I guess is one. Maybe Old Miss at home, trying to get it at Auburn, pulling upset at Auburn, at South Carolina, at Louisville.

00:22:42
Speaker 4: But righting, it ain't easy to find any of them.

00:22:44
Speaker 1: You just saying that again just emphasizes how crazy tough this schedule is. Next year, your home games are Ole Miss, Tennessee, Texas, and I guess you get.

00:22:53
Speaker 3: Florida home Florida, So maybe that's one you hope to get.

00:22:57
Speaker 2: Wow, I'm gonna come off as sky is falling guy. But week one against Toledo, I'm not looking past and I'm being dead seriously, they'd beat Pitt. Yeah, and I mean Kentucky should win, but that might be a game. We're in the fourth quarter, we're like, oh my goodness, got Chip train him next year too.

00:23:11
Speaker 3: Look, I don't even wanna think about what happens if you lose to Toledo in the first they are good like I mean, but you're right, that's a that's a game.

00:23:18
Speaker 4: That's not a gimme gimme.

00:23:20
Speaker 2: You don't think Chip wants to come in here and road.

00:23:21
Speaker 4: No doubt. We'll take a break right back. It's Chaozar work. I'm back.

00:23:26
Speaker 3: It is Kentucky Sports Radio EIGHTF. I'm nine two eight oh twenty two eighty seven.

00:23:30
Speaker 4: Thank you very much.

00:23:31
Speaker 3: Text machine is seven seven two seven seven four five two five four one person. My uh rights on the text machine, Matt. I had a memory when you were talking about the weed eater?

00:23:40
Speaker 4: Am I right? That Cali Perry once took a weed eater. That was a story. Once you remember that he borrowed it. He borrowed it and wouldn't give it back or something like that.

00:23:48
Speaker 1: He said he forgot to give it back. Yeah, and the guy didn't. The guy ended up saying something publicly about it.

00:23:55
Speaker 3: How do we find out? I don't remember how we found out. Maybe his wife said something about it or something. I don't remember, but I do remember that being a story where I.

00:24:02
Speaker 2: Can remember Cal talking about it at a press conference because he was very cole.

00:24:05
Speaker 4: He's like, I don't even know what a weed eater is. Why would I take one l one a weed eater? Never heard of such a thing.

00:24:11
Speaker 2: Yes, I think I wrote it in like a Zillow listing.

00:24:15
Speaker 4: That's what it was.

00:24:16
Speaker 3: Yes, that's what it was. Yes, you should get my weed eater. Yes, that's good memory, that's exact, that's exactly right. One person writes Matt on New Year's Eve. I watched Andy Cohen and Anderson Cooper. I remember you used to enjoy that.

00:24:31
Speaker 4: I did.

00:24:32
Speaker 3: I watched some of it this year. They do entertain me. Those two guys getting drunk, they let him drink again.

00:24:37
Speaker 4: They didn't seem they got as drunk this year as they normally do.

00:24:40
Speaker 3: I think the people around him were enough. Did you see Ray Fines doing that monologue? You need to look that up. Caught a lot of the highways Ray Fines did like that. I'm demure on whatever you need to see that that's good anyway. But he said, this person writes, would you guys want to be in Times Square on New Year's Eve? It looks awful to me. It looks like the worst thing I've ever seen. Why would you want to do that? First part of why I don't understand why you want to do it is nothing is happening. You're just standing there like you're just standing there in the rain, in the cold, just standing there with your Planet.

00:25:17
Speaker 4: Fitness hat on, Like what's the point?

00:25:20
Speaker 1: And you most people wear adult diapers because they there are no bathrooms down there?

00:25:24
Speaker 4: You mean most people wear adult diaper That's kind of the thing. It's known you wear adult diapers, says who.

00:25:30
Speaker 2: I saw an interview yesterday. Someone had already admit to being their pants and it was nude.

00:25:34
Speaker 4: I'm going to like, you have to challenge you on something.

00:25:37
Speaker 3: I understand that there might be some people or that were would you think most people in that crowd are wearing adult diapers?

00:25:46
Speaker 1: I think it's kind of understood because there's no stand down there for five and there's reports.

00:25:52
Speaker 4: What reports? I think I think the Google machine will buy.

00:25:56
Speaker 3: So you're telling me that there are stories, yes, some legitimate news agency that say most people are wearing adult diapers.

00:26:04
Speaker 2: Yes, I don't think that's Times Square. I know first Google result is the New York Times.

00:26:09
Speaker 4: Okay, but what does it say though? I want to know what it says.

00:26:11
Speaker 2: Talking about how a table at Applebee's is a thousand dollars and people are wearing diapers to line up at the front of Time Square?

00:26:17
Speaker 4: What people? How many?

00:26:18
Speaker 3: Does it say how many people? But does it say how many people in the art? I don't think they counted.

00:26:23
Speaker 4: But he said.

00:26:24
Speaker 3: Most people are wearing adult dives watched the video.

00:26:27
Speaker 2: Everyone in those front rows were admitting it.

00:26:28
Speaker 4: They weren't hiding it.

00:26:29
Speaker 2: They were like, I've already peid twice. I got here at seven am.

00:26:32
Speaker 1: They're there all day, and there's no bathrooms. There's no porta potties, and the businesses down there do not open the doors to let you use the bathroom.

00:26:39
Speaker 3: All right, you two just grow with most people are wearing adult diapers. So you're just telling me those people voluntarily all stand there to go stand around a bunch of people with adult diapers.

00:26:51
Speaker 2: And they're just peeing all over themselves.

00:26:53
Speaker 4: You gotta think about it.

00:26:54
Speaker 2: They lined up at five am for an event that's almost an entire day away and they can't move.

00:26:59
Speaker 4: Yeah, I don't.

00:27:00
Speaker 2: I mean you gotta you got a peace somewhere, all right?

00:27:03
Speaker 1: I got a pee in a cup born on the ground. I'm gonn pee on myself.

00:27:06
Speaker 4: All right, I don't you guys? Are people are trying to eat here? First? We're just telling you about the news, all right. Yesterday I did something I've never done in my entire life. What was that? I went to an ee hop?

00:27:17
Speaker 2: Oh you did?

00:27:19
Speaker 4: I've never been to an ie hop before?

00:27:22
Speaker 2: Fresh and fruity.

00:27:23
Speaker 4: Yeah.

00:27:23
Speaker 3: So I got off the exit. It was in h right outside of Columbus, and I was like, where are you gonna eat? And you know, there were the future but a lot of stuff was closed. A lot of people closed on New Years Day, so a lot of stuff was closed. And I said, you know what, never been to an eye hop? Don't know what it's like?

00:27:39
Speaker 4: Sure? Why not go in there? Yeah? Not my thing?

00:27:43
Speaker 3: Like, but I but I went and I feel like I've experienced it. And it was you know, they got like pancakes that are you know? They had oreo pancakes. Who is eating Oreo pancakes. Me, you're young, that's kind of Yeah. It's gotta be awful for you, isn't it.

00:27:59
Speaker 1: Probably that's why I'm gonna eat it. So did you go to breakfast route or the lunch route?

00:28:03
Speaker 3: It's like eleven o'clock, you could get either. I got a waffle, wasn't great, But the pancakes, I know, But I thought, if you do pancakes, you can do waffles like you could do the same thing, wasn't it. But I did go, and I was thinking to myself, that may be the last major chain of restaurants that I can think of that I have never been in.

00:28:26
Speaker 4: Really, can you think of a majorjor.

00:28:29
Speaker 3: Chain of restaurants where there are multiple locations all over the country and you've never been in any of them. I've never been in an Ahab, but I think I've been to every other chain of food around.

00:28:41
Speaker 4: Is there one that you could think of? You have it?

00:28:43
Speaker 1: No, I don't think so, because we stopped then we stop at a water Burger when we were on the wind to Los Angeles that one year.

00:28:49
Speaker 3: Yeah, but that's stuff out there, I mean stuff a regional that you could that you've never been to. That you think, Uh, you just never have found yourself in.

00:28:59
Speaker 1: I've never been to a or pizza right here, it's right there. Never, I mean it's right there. That the tiny pepperone. You've never thought like, it's right there. Let me try and I'll never have never or not one time.

00:29:13
Speaker 4: Well maybe one day they'll bring you one.

00:29:14
Speaker 1: What's the other like the cousin to waffle house, it's waffle something.

00:29:21
Speaker 4: Huddle house.

00:29:21
Speaker 2: I don't think I've been to a huddle house.

00:29:23
Speaker 4: You know.

00:29:23
Speaker 3: Our partner at cass Bar owns like seven of them. Yes, and you've never if you never tried to thought about you any want we go to Western Kentucky. Let's go to there one of his huddle houses.

00:29:32
Speaker 4: All right, Well, there you go. Who's up next?

00:29:34
Speaker 6: You?

00:29:34
Speaker 4: None for you?

00:29:35
Speaker 2: I'm actually I don't know that I've been to an ie hoop, but I think I've hit most. I'm a big restaurant guy. I try to try everything. Yeah, well you can skip out pot Jack in the box, even though that's reagional. I don't know that I've been to one of those.

00:29:44
Speaker 4: What's next, Jerry, Jerry, go ahead, Jerry.

00:29:49
Speaker 7: Hey Man talking about next year for football? You know, the more you read these like wait, Trelli predictions that are looking at the transfer class and stuff, they're not real pressed Kentucky and he looks at scheduled like you said, you look at the schedule next year. Probably the only teams are gonna be not gonna be better this year than next ye they were this year are Tennessee and Ole Miss. Everybody else is probably gonna be at least as good, if not better.

00:30:14
Speaker 4: I agree with you, Jerry.

00:30:15
Speaker 3: I mean, the transfer class doesn't look great, But then Jerry, I would say to you, they've been They praised our transfer class last.

00:30:21
Speaker 4: Year and it didn't do anything. So I sometimes wonder with the transfers if they even really know.

00:30:27
Speaker 7: Well. And the other thing is, you know, like we're saying, is that you know, they didn't they didn't change any of the offensive coaching. That's my gut feeling is that we're going to be marginally better if I'm not the same on offense and defense. Fact should be work because you've lost all of these good players. So I know this sounded like three to nine, Matt, I mean it's I.

00:30:52
Speaker 3: Mean, that's certainly plausible. I you know, I appreciate the call. It's certainly plausible. There's a world in which we come back next year and where the same and maybe the same makes you go three and nine this year. I mean that is plausible, and Stoops won't survive that if it is.

00:31:11
Speaker 4: But there comes a point I will say one thing.

00:31:14
Speaker 3: I do think the people that every single piece of football news, their response is fire, Stoops are what.

00:31:22
Speaker 4: Are you even trying to accomplish? Right now?

00:31:24
Speaker 3: Like he's coming back, so like now that he's coming back, we need to hope he does well.

00:31:30
Speaker 4: And if he doesn't do well.

00:31:32
Speaker 3: Then I'll be one of the people leading the way next year, going we need a change. But I made the analogy online and this is my analogy. We right now with football are where we were with Cal after Saint Peter's. All Right after Saint Peter's we were like, uh oh, is this going in the right direction? And there was a lot of troubling signs and there were some people who wanted to change, but I was of the belief after Saint Peter's, look, this dude's had a lot of success here, Let's give him a chance to turn it around.

00:32:08
Speaker 4: It didn't work out.

00:32:10
Speaker 3: A lot of the troubling stuff we saw after Saint Peter's ended up being what ended his time here at Kentucky.

00:32:16
Speaker 4: That might be what happens with Stoops. We'll see. But I kind of.

00:32:19
Speaker 3: Feel like there are people who act like we are where we were after Oakland.

00:32:25
Speaker 4: I don't think we're there. He's had one really bad year.

00:32:29
Speaker 3: I think it's more Saint Peter's Ryan where it's like the signs.

00:32:33
Speaker 4: Are there, you better change. Kyle didn't change. We'll see if Stoops can't.

00:32:39
Speaker 1: So what do you think to the people that give you the argument, Well, even the year two years ago it was disappointing. They just kind of saved it by beating Louisville at the end of the year.

00:32:46
Speaker 4: Fair point. But what was the year before Saint Peter's.

00:32:50
Speaker 3: You may remember we went nine and sixteen and missed the tournament, right, Yeah, I mean we were worse, much worse the year before Saint Peter's. So you know, look, whether you think he should be gone or not, he's gonna be here. So I don't really know what we accomplished by just saying should have fired him. Okay, fine, but Drew he's here, so we might as well hope it works.

00:33:23
Speaker 2: Yeah, and I think, and I said this about Cal last year, I'm going into next year this is the last year. Even if he has an amazing year, I just feel like we're kind of at the end. Whatever he does, and I don't think it's gonna be a good year. But I when they kick it off next September against Toledo, I'm gonna be following that whole season as if it's the last. Whether he's winning games or losing, I just think it's kind of it. But you're gonna be pulling for him to win. Yes, I'll be pulling for to win, just like I was for Cal last year. But I watched last season and I said this on the radio before they played a game, this feels like the last ride. And I filled that with stoops whatever it looks like.

00:33:55
Speaker 3: I feel like this is the last wave. Whether that wave is one year or two or three, I think remains to be seen. But I do think we are nearing the end. And the question Ryan is just how's the end gonna go.

00:34:09
Speaker 1: So you've talked to him, do you feel like he's got that fire back a little bit that maybe he'll be able to turn it around?

00:34:15
Speaker 4: All right?

00:34:16
Speaker 3: So let me give the case if you want to feel Look, the case for being pessimistic is obvious. Right, we stunk last year. The guys from the portal are from Max schools. Is that gonna work our quarterback? We don't know about that.

00:34:31
Speaker 4: I mean, the case for.

00:34:32
Speaker 3: Being negative is obvious if you want to have a case for being positive. And again, let's compare it to Cal. If you were to talk to Cal after Saint Peter's he didn't think anything was wrong. He thought, I'm doing it the right way. I know what to do. Everybody shut up. We got it was a weird loss. That's the way it goes. Mark Stoops, in my opinion, knows he's screwed up.

00:34:57
Speaker 4: Now.

00:34:58
Speaker 3: I'm speaking for him now, but he's gonna come in here at some point and speak for himself and then he'll get to say it or not. If Mark Stoops goes in the next year the way Cal went into the post Saint Peter's year and does the same stuff, then we're gonna.

00:35:12
Speaker 4: Lose and he will be gone.

00:35:14
Speaker 3: If he changes the culture, if he changes the way this program is run back to the way it was before, maybe he has a shot.

00:35:22
Speaker 4: We'll see.

00:35:23
Speaker 2: So what you're feeling has he been he got the mindset, he's gone.

00:35:26
Speaker 3: I think he has the mentality. But sometimes you can have the mentality and you may or may not succeed. You know, we lost we lost most of them.

00:35:36
Speaker 4: I mean we're starting over next year. Yeah, like not just the transfer. We had a tome of.

00:35:42
Speaker 3: Dudes graduate, Like a time of dudes graduate. Like we're starting over. How many starters are returning from last year? Like, think about it. Look at the offense. Offense, how many dudes are gonna start that started last year?

00:36:00
Speaker 4: Any buddy Willcox he started that one or two game?

00:36:04
Speaker 3: He didn't he started at so Wilcox all right? How many dudes on defense are going to start that started last year?

00:36:12
Speaker 7: Uh?

00:36:12
Speaker 4: A cornerback? Hardaway, you're some of your safeties, Jordan love it, ty tyro got trouble. I mean, I don't know.

00:36:22
Speaker 2: I think we're going back to also running the damn ball. Y'all get ready for one, there's not many receivers on this roster right now. And I do think you got a good get out of Nebraska with Daldell to put with will Cox, redid the line.

00:36:34
Speaker 4: I think Stoops is just gonna head.

00:36:36
Speaker 3: It off the whole you go back to what they used to do with the When the relief valve on your water heater fails pouring gallons of water in your basement, you need to call serf Pro. What if you have an electric shortage in your office? What if you have a musty odor that indicates you might have a mold problem. Serve pro Go to serve Pro one eight hundred, serve pro s e r VP r O dot com. Make it like it never even happened with serve Pro. I hope you don't need him, but if you do, call serve Pro. 00:37:03
Speaker 4: Come back. Final segment, Chaos are.

00:37:06
Speaker 3: Walk come back in this final segment ks R right five nine two, eight, twenty two eighty seven Here at the KS bar and grill. Come on out and uh thank you very much and join us. Have have lunch and or dinner here this evening. Ryan we uh we I had a couple of people right here. One person writes, I think Ryan would be the best door dash driver, But my question is does he talk to people?

00:37:30
Speaker 4: Do you have you make conversation when you walk up to the door.

00:37:33
Speaker 1: Ninety eight percent of the time, they you just leave it at their door. You know, they leave you instruction.

00:37:38
Speaker 4: Would you enjoy talking to people? Uh?

00:37:41
Speaker 2: Probably not.

00:37:42
Speaker 4: No, I want to get in get out. But you like you're friendly though, I feel like you'd want to have a conversation.

00:37:47
Speaker 1: I talk to the people at the restaurants when I pick up the food. You know, hey, have a good day, Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays. What's the place that uh, what's the place that you tend to pick up from the most? Well, this door dash store is a lot. Pizza places, Papa John's Pizza.

00:38:02
Speaker 2: That's a lot.

00:38:03
Speaker 3: By the way, Can I give a restaurant that I think people should go to in Lexington more than they go to, Oh, it's your big restaurant guy.

00:38:11
Speaker 4: So I was looking. There's this guy. He has a million followers. He's like a food guy on TikTok. His name is like.

00:38:19
Speaker 3: Foodhead or something. I mean it is something like that. I'm literally his name's like foodhead or food face or something. But he's like national. But he lives in Kentucky and he seems like a nice fella. I don't know how he got a big following because he just seems like a regular guy being.

00:38:34
Speaker 4: Like, hey, I like food, right, And he ranked his.

00:38:38
Speaker 3: Five best restaurants in Kentucky in twenty twenty four oka like all over the state, and a lot of them were like in small towns. I think the winner was well, I can't remember, but there was one in Hodginville, there was one in e Town.

00:38:52
Speaker 4: But he had one in Lexington on a number two.

00:38:55
Speaker 3: And I've been there and every time I go, there's like no one there, which makes me wonder how it stays in business.

00:39:02
Speaker 4: But it's really good.

00:39:05
Speaker 3: It's called Ola Havana and it's out off Richmond Road, like close to Man of War. It's in like one of those little shopping centers.

00:39:13
Speaker 4: You know where it is, right ma. I've been there a bunch.

00:39:16
Speaker 3: I've been there, like on Friday night, and I'd be like the only person there, and I've wondered, like it's Cuban food and it's really really good, and I'm like, how come? And this dude ranked at the number two restaurant in the whole state, really, and I was like, finally, I thought I was the only person that ever went to this place, and I was like, how does nobody go here? Ola Havana out off Richmond right.

00:39:40
Speaker 2: You know, I've lived in this town for twenty eight years and didn't know this.

00:39:43
Speaker 4: It's right.

00:39:44
Speaker 3: If you were going down Richmond Road before you get to man of War, you know, you you the last left before you get to man of War.

00:39:50
Speaker 4: You go down there. There's like a shopping center right there, and there might be like a Kmart to the right, a Kroger there. That's it's in that. It's in that shopping center.

00:39:58
Speaker 3: To the left where they're is like a subway and maybe an ice cream place or.

00:40:02
Speaker 4: Something like that.

00:40:03
Speaker 2: Yes, the old movie tavern back there.

00:40:05
Speaker 3: So anyway, really, I don't know what made me want to say that, but that dude picked at number two. It was the only restaurant he had in Lexington on his list.

00:40:12
Speaker 1: I want to see the other restaurants, the top five and we can try to hit him at one point.

00:40:15
Speaker 4: Yeah, what's the one in Louisville? That's it?

00:40:17
Speaker 2: Because I was always mad we didn't have Well, there's a ton of famous Havana rumba, So this is I think, just right.

00:40:23
Speaker 4: There with you know, Louisville.

00:40:24
Speaker 3: Again, I don't know why where I've been getting off on this, but did you know Louisville has the second largest Cuban community, third largest Cuban community in America behind Miami and New York.

00:40:34
Speaker 2: What's the connection.

00:40:36
