<v Speaker 4>business and people that you know had evacuated, and it's
<v Speaker 4>just scary, so scary.

<v Speaker 3>know very very well. So he's the person that I
<v Speaker 3>know that's been directly affected. Of course, how many people,
<v Speaker 3>hundreds thousands people die, I mean, this is just beyond devastating.

<v Speaker 3>like our thoughts go out to everybody who's affected in
<v Speaker 3>any way. And Jeremy someone who is such a big
<v Speaker 3>advocate for collecting and just if anybody can rebound from this,

<v Speaker 3>oh man, just seeing his posts of social media is

<v Speaker 3>I'll slow down. I want to butcher it, but well,
<v Speaker 3>your friends. Oh, good, dear friends. I've collected stuff my
<v Speaker 3>entire life. All of that is gone. I'm at peace
<v Speaker 3>with it. My family is safe, pets are safe. I
<v Speaker 3>pray for my neighbors in the Pacific Palisades because I've
<v Speaker 3>been rich, poor, and everything in between in my life.
<v Speaker 3>I'm very pragmatic and realistic. We aren't sured. The loss
<v Speaker 3>is unimaginable, but the financial impact, assuming the insurance companies
<v Speaker 3>do their part, will be negligible. Let me share my
<v Speaker 3>lifelong collecting dream with you, a dream that's now lost.
<v Speaker 3>I thought I would be an old man surrounded by
<v Speaker 3>amazing things and a named auction celebrating all the rare,
<v Speaker 3>cool one of the kind things I collected during my
<v Speaker 3>entire lifetime, some items incredibly valuable, others less valuable, but
<v Speaker 3>all in celebration of the things that made up my interests, passions,
<v Speaker 3>and career, a celebration of a life spent making and
<v Speaker 3>collecting things, curating things, and shaping culture. I'm going to
<v Speaker 3>mourn that auction. It won't I can't read what it says.

<v Speaker 3>It won't ever happen. It's like I don't need to
<v Speaker 3>happen either, I've been incredibly blessed with other dreams that
<v Speaker 3>more than make up for the loss of this one.

<v Speaker 3>and it's okay to have some trivial dreams. I've had
<v Speaker 3>other dreams come true that are far more substantial than that.
<v Speaker 3>Includes my way life, kids, family, friends, pets, experiences, colleagues,
<v Speaker 3>and business in a category that I absolutely adore, toys
<v Speaker 3>and collectibles. Now to the part I realize, after eighteen
<v Speaker 3>hours of thinking about thinking through, this is not trivial
<v Speaker 3>our community, our kids' school, our neighbors, our neighborhood, our
<v Speaker 3>grocery store, our library, our playgrounds, our places of worship
<v Speaker 3>or spirituality, our friends, homes and things. Things out of
<v Speaker 3>my power to ensure or protect, as is out of
<v Speaker 3>my control. The feelings of others, the lost dreams of others,
<v Speaker 3>the young people doing everything right who lost everything and
<v Speaker 3>can't see their dream right now. The old people whose
<v Speaker 3>dream was realized and lost. This really breaks me up.
<v Speaker 3>An entire community temporarily, Sorry, Mark, I can't see the.
<v Speaker 1>Rest temporarily gone. And I pray for that loss of
<v Speaker 1>and I pray that loss of life is minimal.
<v Speaker 3>I pray for the safety and security of those who
<v Speaker 3>lost important things, trivial things, dreams achieved and future dreams
<v Speaker 3>big and small. Don't get me wrong, it's not lost
<v Speaker 3>to me that I have had the free him to dream,
<v Speaker 3>and that not everyone shares that freedom anyway. I now
<v Speaker 3>know what i'd take from my house if I had
<v Speaker 3>fifteen minutes nothing. As it turns out, I thought we'd
<v Speaker 3>be back today. So back to the bigger points. One
<v Speaker 3>dream your dream. Two, get insurance. Three, don't wait for
<v Speaker 3>old age to celebrate something really cool. Four dream more
<v Speaker 3>than one dream, I can't sorry.
<v Speaker 1>And five people matter way more than stuff.
