00:01:30
Speaker 1: Rich said he's going to read the NBA standings on the air. Oh perfect. You know what.

00:01:34
Speaker 2: You forget that these quarterbacks, even when they don't look monstrous on the field, they're big boys. Like you know, my dad was watching our YouTube interview with Jackson Dart.

00:01:47
Speaker 1: Oh really like Jackson do Well, likable fella.

00:01:49
Speaker 2: And I said, I said, Dad, Jackson dart Well, he's a handsome boy, was enormous and he was a big, huge fellaw.

00:01:59
Speaker 1: I think he's listed six three. He felt a lot bigger than my dad said.

00:02:03
Speaker 2: When you watch Jackson Dart on a Sunday, he doesn't look all that huge. But we forget, like most of these guys are, you're comparing them with the biggest men in the world. Yeah, keep that in mind when you see how small we look, how small I look next to Jackson Dart and Fernanda Mendoza Fernanda Mendoza's six over six, six foot five. That dude was lanky and a nice fella, and I thanks to lots for having our back.

00:02:27
Speaker 1: I felt like I could dislocate Bryce Young's shoulder. He looks small.

00:02:31
Speaker 3: Yeah, guys looked normal size compared to Bryce. Yes, I saw pictures where you're all sitting.

00:02:36
Speaker 2: I'm like, hey, he looks he's like a small, subdued kind fella. That same with the Eagle Secretary Blanker Ship and Degene.

00:02:45
Speaker 1: Oh yeah, they just look like.

00:02:49
Speaker 2: It shows you how great they have to be to compete with guys who are giants on the field.

00:02:54
Speaker 1: They look like too uh Frapp boys. They just worked out a lot.

00:02:57
Speaker 2: If you want to see what we're talking about, Covino and rich fs are on YouTube. Last week was great, Happy to be back and yeah, man, football is over. It's hard to believe after a long season. So we'll wrap it up with your observations. Any other observations Rich from the game from halftime. Yes, being in San Francisco, I'm a Niners fan, have been there many times. I just want to remind everyone if you visit a different city, sometimes weather could play a factor sometimes where you stay could play a factor, timing, timing. I think about this like, I'm a New York kid at hard we live in Los Angeles now, but I'm a New Yorker. I grew up on Long Island. I lived in Manhattan, I lived in Brooklyn. I know the East Cause pretty well. But I feel like if someone visited New York, depending on where they stayed in Manhattan and when and when would totally determine.

00:03:46
Speaker 1: I think the win is a big fact. Like, well, if you go to.

00:03:48
Speaker 2: New York and you stay I don't know in the village and it's raining, that's way different than if you stay I don't know in midtown and it's sunny, like weather circumstances and everything. Because I've been to San Francisco, the Bay area, b Bunch, Fisherman's Wharf, Golden Gate Bridge, over the Bridge, Saucelito, Napa Valley, Like it's a there's beautiful parts.

00:04:08
Speaker 1: Of that area special.

00:04:09
Speaker 2: There's a special feeling about the touristy, even the touristy attractions of Lombard.

00:04:14
Speaker 1: All Right, this had the beautiful about it.

00:04:16
Speaker 2: In the trolleys, Like there's a charm to San Francisco that I feel just wasn't the same this time. It's like time you're being kind I previous times I've been to the Bay Area loved it. If this was my only experience with San Francisco, it was like the butthole of the United States.

00:04:35
Speaker 1: It's because you were just trapped in a couple of streets downtown San Francis. Picture someone, Why picture someone? Picture someone?

00:04:42
Speaker 2: You were in the tenorin you were in the Tenderloin district. It felt like night of the living point. I was saying, picture of map of you watch your step out there? Do you watch your step?

00:04:52
Speaker 1: You know what I mean? Pick listen, picture a map of the United States. I don't step on that.

00:04:56
Speaker 2: And the and the picture of map of the United States. And someone's on all fours and their faces in the New England area, their buttholes right in northern California. I can't say that they're bumbum. Okay, I say bum bum? Did you just dump me for saying that?

00:05:11
Speaker 1: You have to say bum bum bum? Oh? Okay, I learned something there.

00:05:15
Speaker 2: How are you going to differentiate bum from bum?

00:05:20
Speaker 1: What's you say?

00:05:21
Speaker 2: Just just say find a way so rich? Where in the world was Carmen San Diego again. I'll just tell you this bum bum. It was gross city bitty bumbum. I walked to dinner every night, like on, I put my phone away. Usually you know, you stroll down the street and you're looking at your phone like an idiot. I was on high alert for hobos jumping out. I was on I was on high jump scares like a haunted house. I was like, this is a haunted house. And honestly, everywhere I walked, I was we don't take.

00:05:52
Speaker 1: Walk.

00:05:53
Speaker 2: I wasn't worried about someone, Oh they didn't clean up after their dog. I worried about Like, was that that dude right there? Yeah, it was ailes a wild scene. That's but timing. That's why I said timing because we've been there and it's been beautiful.

00:06:05
Speaker 1: It's been wonderful.

00:06:06
Speaker 3: Is it timing or is it where you are in San frans Snow area.

00:06:15
Speaker 1: We've been in that area. It wasn't like that, Sam.

00:06:16
Speaker 2: Someone could visit your right, someone could visit California. And there's a big difference if they rent a beach house in Santa Monica versus being in skid row in downtown La Leaves. So Yeah, just just a reminder not to judge something based on one little experience, because I love the Bay Area. But if I would have judged it solely based on our last experience, you know what made the super Bowl Now, I'm gonna sound corny kid, right, the company. That's funny. The company super Bowl Week because we got to Danny have some nice dinners. Yeah, see some see some old friends hang with the We had a cool staff dinner, cool cool staff dinner. Everything about the week was fantastic. But San Francisco, I don't know when you compare that to super Bowls that we've been through.

00:07:00
Speaker 3: Help next year then, man Arizona. Let's let's get one thing clear though. Where the super Bowl was was in Santa Clara, San Jose area.

00:07:08
Speaker 2: Yeah, but all the festivities and events leading up to it, we're in San Francisco.

00:07:12
Speaker 3: But the thing is is like Radio Road didn't have to be in San Francisco because like, technically you're really far away from the stadium.

00:07:19
Speaker 1: It should have been a little closer to the stadium.

00:07:20
Speaker 2: That's true, and it took away a little bit from the vibe because in other cities where things are a lot closer, we're able to go to the NFL experience in the open night and go into the stadium. But who's making that jerny? Like when we were in Las Vegas, Danny and we got to walk on the field.

00:07:38
Speaker 1: We didn't get you know, that's not complaining, just his plain and taking you behind the velvet rope.

00:07:43
Speaker 2: Can I throw one more little angle at you and then we could move on, you know, say close the book on football maybe for now until the draft. Kind of angle, a Kurt angle and acute angle? Did we think AJ and Big Justice? Did you think AJ looked like Kurt Angle a little bit? When we met him at Super Bowl? We met the boom, we met the we bought the boom. Guys, that's what we did. By the way, that was Coveno' servuit moment of the Superpowers.

00:08:04
Speaker 1: It was probably my highlight.

00:08:06
Speaker 2: Like Jackson Dart was school, but meeting AJ and Big Justice and I mean this, they were serious. Note I'm being facetious, but seriously, couldn't have been more kind.

00:08:16
Speaker 1: And I was so happy because they truly.

00:08:21
Speaker 2: Hit on something special, like it's a whole family act, the family gimmick that they're loving and appreciating and they don't take it for granted. And that little kid, Big Justice, who's again their social media famous If you don't know who we're talking about, he was living up every second of it.

00:08:36
Speaker 1: But his dad a day looks like Kurt Angle would They they were very.

00:08:40
Speaker 2: Cool, famous for their Costco stuff to Yeah, Costco, we're Costco guys, double chunk chocoal chip.

00:08:45
Speaker 1: Yeah, those guys. They were so kind.

00:08:47
Speaker 2: He's like, take my number when I'm in LA where they're you know, they do wrestling events. He's like, we got you guys up like super kind. They were super cool. It was a great week. My one angle angle? Now you got me all thrown off? What was my one angle? Oh?

00:09:03
Speaker 1: For got that quick?

00:09:04
Speaker 2: Oh?

00:09:04
Speaker 1: I got it? Please, I just need a second. I'm not that dumb.

00:09:06
Speaker 2: This is how we're ending NFL season. I know I got it, Guys, don't just like the super Bowl last night.

00:09:11
Speaker 1: I got it. Does it make you feel a little better for the people that.

00:09:16
Speaker 2: Were like, oh man, Drake may got robbed? Does it make you feel a little better about Stafford being the MVP? I think I think the lackluster Patriots offense made me realize it's correct.

00:09:26
Speaker 1: They got it right. They got it right with Matthew Stafford. I mean for Drake May though he's you know.

00:09:31
Speaker 4: He said I Will Campbell What if Will Campbell was blocking for Stafford though? I mean for the beginning, I mean the first half of that game especially was running Listen, he did make some bad throws.

00:09:43
Speaker 2: Yes, can I just say this, I don't want to come across as like some week ass forty nine Ers fan. That's you know, my team lost. They were decimated with injuries. So I'm not dissing another team. And I've always been a proponent of you play who's on your schedule, don't bitch about that. But when you do realize of their seventeen game schedule, only three games were against over five hundred teams. Now, when that was the Bills twice and the Steelers, and they played an AFC Championship game against the backup quarterback. Let's just say the Patriots path there was ideal. They just ended up running into a team that would outmatch them. Like you, you could argue that under so many different circumstances, they shouldn't even have been there, but you know what they were, and that's a that's a tribute to them coming together as a team and doing what it took.

00:10:29
Speaker 3: But Frables first year, maybe they're a head of schedule if anything, dude, if.

00:10:33
Speaker 1: Anything, they should all be very proud of themselves.

00:10:35
Speaker 2: But Rabel's right though, he said, no one on the team played good enough for them to win. None of them really. The one dude in the secondary that broke up like three their defense was jumping routes to start that game. So it kind of felt like they knew they had to really lean on their defense if they had a chance in their game.

00:10:56
Speaker 1: Who is their defensive guy? Latino? Name was the guy that jumped me? Oh bad? Boney Benito Benito Boni.

00:11:07
Speaker 3: No, well, anyway, if you do look at Stafford's numbers against like the Seahawks both times this year, like he lit them up like he was he was the MVP.

00:11:14
Speaker 2: No doubt, no doubt that was proven yesterday and any other phone calls Christian Gonzalez, I drew a blank on the name Christian Gonzales. How many times did that dude break up break up a pass that was like just like Fingertip knocked it out.

00:11:29
Speaker 1: Fantastic performance by him, I don't know about anywhere else.

00:11:32
Speaker 2: A seven seven ninety nine on Fox at Covino and Rich at Fox Sports Radio and against streaming live as we speak on YouTube Coveno and Rich FSR.

00:11:40
Speaker 1: And thank you stee Lo, Wes Ashley.

00:11:42
Speaker 2: Everyone chimed it at once, Gonzales.

00:11:45
Speaker 1: That's the that's the fun of the live chat. I have my own little, uh my little feedback.

00:11:50
Speaker 2: Speaking of latinos and speaking of what to look forward next, what to look forward to next? Any excitement about Wes was a he goes. If not for Gonzales, that game could have been fifty to nine or something like something ridiculous, like he really did break up some key playce Now keep in mind, was trying to get people hyped for what's coming up. Right, there's no more football, guys. Sorry, you're gonna have the football blues for the next month or so. Anyone excited for Ryan Garcia and Mario Barrios at the end of the month. I know we got bonon Time's Weekend Poppy coming up? Happy bonon Times, Papa, I know you are, but tell us about it. Garcia's back, he was fighting for the bell. Do we all just forget Mario Barrios following Paka remember Pake I wanted to win another title, so he fought Barrios at welterweight, who won the WBC. It was a draw, boring, but it was it was a you know, it was a weird fight. I have to say, weird fight. So Garcia is making his comeback and he's saying I'm going for the belt and he's fighting at welter Wait February.

00:12:53
Speaker 1: No, I just say what a fights?

00:12:54
Speaker 2: And draw?

00:12:55
Speaker 1: In my mind is like did it even happen? No, that's fine.

00:12:58
Speaker 2: Now Garcia is saying, all right, well I'm gonna come and take that title. And you got two Vatos locals, You got Garcia. I'm a pretty boy. Garcia versus the astic Mario Marios February twenty First, I'm just trying to hype it up to to just put a little dot in your calendar so that.

00:13:12
Speaker 1: You're excited about something. I forget. Then you got WBC in March. Answer me that, how forgiving are you? Meaning?

00:13:18
Speaker 2: I'm pretty forgiving? Meaning you know, in relationships with friendships, co workers. Let's say you know at work, someone steals your client. Kavina, I remember you worked at a clothing store one time and you say someone's like almost like want to throw you against the wall in the back room, like don't you steal my commissions or something?

00:13:35
Speaker 1: Some dude threaten me.

00:13:36
Speaker 2: Man.

00:13:36
Speaker 1: Yeah, he put his finger to my chest and say, yo, man, don't be doing that. I know what you're doing. I was like, what what am I doing? Stealing my commissions? Collins producer should be saying yeah. Yeah. I was like, you gotta do that to to that guy.

00:13:54
Speaker 2: George who threatened me stood on business as they say. He said, you're not taking any money off my plate or something like that, and I was like, I'm sorry, man, I didn't mean anything by it.

00:14:02
Speaker 1: I didn't.

00:14:03
Speaker 2: I was just on my I just hustled harder, That's what it was. He didn't like it, So what about that? By the way, I was like sixteen and he was like twenty eight, so like, yeah, he was a big dude when it comes to forgiveness. I don't forget what.

00:14:21
Speaker 1: You know, someone steals your girl, you know you'd be a no you fight with that ax.

00:14:26
Speaker 2: Whatever, dude, your take on forgiveness, because gars is just like saying sorry. I learned that in one of my favorite movies, Just Friends, Yeah, with Ryan Reynolds. Forgiveness just like saying, sorry, I bring that up because Ryan Garcia was a fighter and as a fighter, young, handsome, talented, fastest hands.

00:14:43
Speaker 1: In the game, all the potential in the world.

00:14:44
Speaker 2: Had one week ass fight in New York City and its stead of ruined my vibe of him because I felt like, dude, he lost to Rollie from Maria.

00:14:49
Speaker 1: Yeah, but but forget that.

00:14:51
Speaker 2: He went on social media and like when he's just chopping up with his boys, he said, like remember like racist, bad stuff, and then he blamed it on what even say. I feel like, do we all just forget that happened, because remember he like went off, well, uh, he says so much ridiculous stuff that I forget what you're even talking about, to be honest.

00:15:11
Speaker 1: So yeah, it's not a matter if I forgive him, I just forget. I'm just saying, like.

00:15:16
Speaker 2: Kanye West is trying to could come back, right, and he's trying to be like, yeah, it was you know, just kidding, Like I didn't say, you.

00:15:22
Speaker 1: Know, think about the tellers.

00:15:23
Speaker 2: He said some weird stuff I know, always defended like little kids and child trafficking and sort of went off on crazy rants like that all the time. Ryan Garcia yeah, Ryan Garcia said some interesting stuff. But anyway, that's right. Way, Yeah, that's happening later this month. I'm just trying again give you something to look forward.

00:15:41
Speaker 1: To, and it's the World Baseball Classic going to be interesting with you.

00:15:44
Speaker 2: So I'm considering so many players are dropping out because countries and teams aren't ensuring them. Where since your boy lived war on some of those Puerto Rican guys, they're too busy worrying about bad Bunny. So a lot of paperwork fell through. But there's a lot of people still involved. Are you're telling me that? Look at the lineups, man, It's like who's more stacked? The dr Japan USA. There's a lot of stacked lineups. And it was so competitive and awesome. What four years ago? Where show the game? If you guys remember the WBC ended with Shohail Tani striking out his teammate at the time, Mike Trout, Japan over USA, and Japan won three of the only five WBC's. I think the dr One one in USA won one, So you got some heated competition there. Again, an international game, you're gonna see a lot of international stars. So if it's anything even remotely close to as exciting as the last WBC. Then I'm fired up for some early competitive baseball. I have a question, your boy DS is playing Danny g I'd be worried about that.

00:16:48
Speaker 1: Last time.

00:16:49
Speaker 2: Yeah, last time he was in the World Baseball Classic grand the opening Grant closing he missed a season.

00:16:54
Speaker 1: Yeah, that's scary. So he's playing.

00:16:56
Speaker 2: Speaking of forgiveness and the Olympics run, did we ever get word? Did Nancy Kerrigan ever quote forgive Tanya Harding dmer or find out?

00:17:05
Speaker 1: I will hit her up? Hit her up on the Instagram? Do you want me to Nancy Kerrigan? Nancy?

00:17:12
Speaker 2: Do you know any young woman named Nancy? By the way, Uh, not to be aunt, not to be all over the place. Let me give you guys a heads up. Speaking of the Olympics, and I know, now that football is over, we may start. You know you're gonna find yourself watching more Olympics. One I find myself glued to a couple's figure skating.

00:17:29
Speaker 1: I don't know why.

00:17:30
Speaker 2: I find it to be fascinating. And then Augusta, who you know works here, it's uh Fox Sports Radio. He goes, are you watching them or you're just judging how good looking the girl is and I'm like, you know what, I think, that's what I'm doing. Am I judging the routine or how cute I think the figure skater is? That's question one. And number two maybe you just appreciate the thestor synchronosity. That's sorts right, That's what it is. It's like my wife will be like, Babe, do you like this or this dress? And she's like, don't judge the model wearing and I'm like, I can't do that. I'm gonna be looking at who's wearing it. But number two, if you have not watched not the movie Miracle on Netflix, it's a brand new documentary. It's called Miracle the Boys of nineteen eighty.

00:18:15
Speaker 1: I watched it.

00:18:16
Speaker 2: It's an hour and a half, a freaking almost one rogue there, freaking awesome look into these men who were college kids at the time, amateurs And you know what, we left us off the list recently that russell Man.

00:18:31
Speaker 1: What a hell of coach. No, no, no no.

00:18:33
Speaker 2: But we talked about recently like the greatest, you know, against all odd stories.

00:18:38
Speaker 1: And we left a year. You know what I got out of that rich I watched this documentary. We don't give it enough love. We don't give it enough love.

00:18:44
Speaker 2: I'm sure hockey fans doing people that were like aware of what was going on in nineteen eighty I was picking my nose.

00:18:49
Speaker 1: I was four years old. I think that the captain of the team was that Dag not many Italians.

00:19:00
Speaker 3: I know.

00:19:00
Speaker 1: He was a dad guys. I gotta check his name again.

00:19:07
Speaker 2: I'm pretty sure he is a day the game winning goal and you know what, yeah, he was the guy.

00:19:12
Speaker 1: I thought the documentary was great, great.

00:19:14
Speaker 2: You know what's cool about it is they get whoever's alive from that team and they get them together to relive it, and you realize how special it was because they're old now and it is so it's heartbreaking. Really, do you know it's worth the watch as you're looking for things to do, watch that's on Netflix. My biggest takeaway other than it was beautiful, beautiful to see these You know, these are all boomers. These are these are people that were, you know, college kids in nineteen eighty. These are all sixty seven year old men, right, so watching them get together, like Kevino said, and watch us and get all emotional.

00:19:47
Speaker 1: I mean the captain Mike Eurezione how do you say that? How do you say Yoda zone Nie? How do you say that? Low and crin.

00:19:57
Speaker 2: I know you probably remember that Eruzion Mike Rouzieh, he celebrated with some Gobba ghoul. I didn't know that the legend of the team was it Dad, But the way how the coach was so tough on them, Everything about the documentary was really touching watching the guys get emotional, because a lot of these guys are like they're seeing footage and it's like, that's when my parents were alive, and that's looking hard. There's something heartbreaking and emotional about it. Yeah, I think I shed well, no, no, I didn't shed an actual tear, but I welld up real nice at one point and I caught myself, you don't let it happen.

00:20:32
Speaker 1: No, no, no, no, I'm not wasting my fatal tiers. I thought it was fantastic.

00:20:36
Speaker 2: And the other big takeaway we talked about Danny g in the past, the origin of the High five with the Dusty Baker, right, you know what the the credit the families of Team USA. You say, you say, you say, they talk about how before the nineteen eighty Olympics, you know, the Vietnam and people were burning flags, and you know, people weren't here in USA in the fifties and stuff of that, so they think the first USA chance US. Well, Al Michaels actually said he had never heard that before until the nineteen eighty Olympics. They credit the USA chant to the And by the way, Dusty Baker and Glenn Burke.

00:21:18
Speaker 4: It was Glenn Burke. Yeah, Dusty, he brought Dusty is the one who had to figure out what to do. Dusty just reacting put his handle. Okay, it's Glenn Burke in nineteen seventy seven.

00:21:27
Speaker 2: So I think Dusty because five, Because if Dusty's one that had to interpret what to do, he you know, he just countered the reaction.

00:21:35
Speaker 1: But it took two. It took two to tango or something like that. Five nigh five.

00:21:40
Speaker 2: All right, listen, you want to play last one standing. This is a game we play every week. It's stressful, it's awesome, it's fun. Win a prize pack. We got some coozies. Ner Football's all that for you and more at Covine un Rich And of course call now eight seven, seven, nine to nine on Fox.

00:21:55
Speaker 1: Will play next right here on Fox Sports.

00:21:57
Speaker 2: Ready ready to tackle your financial goals. With wee Bowl, you don't have to sit on the sidelines. We bull don't wabble.

00:22:05
Speaker 1: Yeah. Wee Bowl.

American skier Lindsey Vaughn, who crashed thirteen seconds into where women's downhill run on Sunday, posted on Instagram today quote Unfortunately, I sustained a complex tibia fracture that is currently stable but will require multiple surgeries to fix properly. My ACL and past injuries had nothing to do with my crash whatsoever. Unquote so that on an Instagram post from Lindsay Von today, speaking of Instagram, New England Patriots receiver Stefon Diggs and music superstar Cardi B have unfollowed one another on Instagram, leading to speculation about the status of their relationship. The Super Bowl champion Seahawks announced today that they will hold their chainchampionship celebration on Wednesday, beginning with a rally at Lumenfield and then a parade through downtown Seattle. Finally, guys, I thought this was a joke, but it turns out this is absolutely true. I got confirmation from the New York City Department of Environmental Protection, which oversees New York City's water system. They posted that New York City saw a significant reduction in water usage during the Super Bowl halftime show, but in the fifteen minutes after the halftime show ended, there was a spike in usage equivalent to seven hundred and sixty one thousand, seven hundred and nineteen toilets flushing across New York City, including Flushing itself.

00:36:13
Speaker 1: Was that a true story or was that just a rumor?

00:36:15
Speaker 6: I don't know, but apparently I saw something that said he actually re followed them or followed them back.

00:36:20
Speaker 1: Really, you know what? Was kind of cool too.

00:36:21
Speaker 2: On a side note, I saw Tom Brady and his interaction with a Green Day and just that weird mutual respect of like him and Mike Dirnt shaking hands and like, yeah, kind of weird to see that behind the scenes.
