<v Speaker 1>Everybody is riding up. Let's get rid of the podcast. <v Speaker 1>Reveb Jets speak. <v Speaker 2>Do you die during an episode of the podcast, I'm <v Speaker 2>gonna feel terrible, all right? <v Speaker 3>Are you okay? Well? Remember it forever in our heart, <v Speaker 3>said dreams. I'm gonna remember you no matter how you <v Speaker 3>die if. <v Speaker 4>You die during this podcast. Can I have your Pokemon cause? <v Speaker 3>Yeah you can. Yeah, you can have my Pokemon car. <v Speaker 5>Can I have the popcorn buckets? <v Speaker 3>You could have the popcorn buckets. <v Speaker 2>I don't need anything for you other than the memories <v Speaker 2>we shared together. <v Speaker 3>Jeff, I'll be I'll be whe you any of my <v Speaker 3>handhelds Oh no, ship never mind? You know what you <v Speaker 3>get my game gear with battery acid on, like the <v Speaker 3>left door pad. Hell, you know what I got? <v Speaker 4>What's the Roger ally X? <v Speaker 3>Yeah? <v Speaker 4>The young ass were like, you want this? You want <v Speaker 4>to check it out? <v Speaker 3>And I was like, you know what? <v Speaker 4>I use my ally a lot. Let me see what <v Speaker 4>this X is about. Pretty good, pretty good? <v Speaker 2>Battery life better yesterday, battery life is better. Yeah, that's <v Speaker 2>really all I need is much. I hate using Windows still, <v Speaker 2>but I've accepted what it is. <v Speaker 4>Yeah, I feel like it's just it's slightly heavier than <v Speaker 4>the Ally as well, which I kind of like. It's <v Speaker 4>got a little more like weight to it, so it <v Speaker 4>feels easier to like, it feels more satisfying. <v Speaker 3>To hold crips in your hands a little bit EASi, yeah, <v Speaker 3>yeah exactly. <v Speaker 4>But so far, it's weird how how much I use <v Speaker 4>the Ally and now I've got my ally X. I'm <v Speaker 4>like very excited. It's black as well, so you can't <v Speaker 4>see fingerprints. You can't tell how long I've been what hell? <v Speaker 4>Yeah said. <v Speaker 5>And talk about it a lot on podcasts, yet wasn't <v Speaker 5>offered a next. That's okay, but yeah again I told <v Speaker 5>you Dan, just like, hey. <v Speaker 3>Do you have a contact? <v Speaker 2>I'm like, yeah, just try, and they sent him one <v Speaker 2>and accidentally sent him a Zephyrus G fourteen laptop, which <v Speaker 2>owns I've been like one of those, and they just <v Speaker 2>sent him one on accident. <v Speaker 3>And told contact is that? How is that a Kingdom <v Speaker 3>Hearts character? <v Speaker 4>Yes? <v Speaker 2>Yeah, it was, Yeah, with the next in there somewhere <v Speaker 2>yeh is by moving the arranging the letters anyways. <v Speaker 1>Uh, folks at home, I bequeath you another episode of <v Speaker 1>the Bobcast for vengeance. I'm not feeling too great, but <v Speaker 1>the pod less continue. Hold on, I'm just gonna take <v Speaker 1>this vapor and halo real quick. <v Speaker 5>Man. You don't feel good. <v Speaker 3>You sound great, though, Oh yeah, sound I belt you <v Speaker 3>ever sounded? You know? You know when you're sick and <v Speaker 3>you start sweating out of places like you didn't think <v Speaker 3>you sweat out of Yeah, yes, the each we can't <v Speaker 3>keep breathing. Flesh Bridge. All right, well, tam, we have <v Speaker 3>you for a limited amount of time, so let's talk <v Speaker 3>about what is what is cultivated the taint of the Internet, <v Speaker 3>and why is so fucking bad about the everyone that <v Speaker 3>occupies the meaty flesh Bridge of Twitter. Dragon Age the <v Speaker 3>Veil Guard, I'm really excited about this game. <v Speaker 4>I I mean, I can't tell you why, people, I mean, <v Speaker 4>I know why, but I can't tell you why if <v Speaker 4>you know what I mean. Yeah, I played the Veil <v Speaker 4>Guard dragon Age, the Veil God, formerly known. <v Speaker 5>As the There's a There's a there shouldn't be formally <v Speaker 5>known as bread Wolf. <v Speaker 4>That's right, as a reference to Solace aka the dread Wolf. Yeah, <v Speaker 4>very interesting experience for me. I went in with pretty well, <v Speaker 4>I've had pretty low expectations of dragon Age the Veil <v Speaker 4>God for a little while and that's owing largely to <v Speaker 4>the kind of very public and slightly tumultuous time that <v Speaker 4>came ultworth Yeah, multuous time that Bioway has been happening lately. <v Speaker 4>And I wrote a preview about this and it's up <v Speaker 4>on GameSpot dot comen's the video version on YouTube dot <v Speaker 4>com force Lash GameSpot. But like, I feel like my <v Speaker 4>expectations were put in check by everything that was happening <v Speaker 4>at Biollway, which I think is fair to a degree. <v Speaker 4>You like, the talent that you know has made the <v Speaker 4>games that you love, exiting or coming and going that <v Speaker 4>kind of stuff, it makes you question whether the next <v Speaker 4>thing they're gonna make is gonna hit. And then also <v Speaker 4>like the New Dragon Age has been in development for <v Speaker 4>so long that has the longer a game is in development, <v Speaker 4>the more likely that it is it's going to be <v Speaker 4>a bit of a mess. You know, there are obviously <v Speaker 4>acceptance to that, you know, Last Guardian being one of <v Speaker 4>them for example, and various others. But yeah, so I <v Speaker 4>went in there. I saw it at Summer Game first <v Speaker 4>and I was like, hmm, I described it suspiciously good looking, <v Speaker 4>which made me think like. <v Speaker 3>Oh, this is this could all of us. <v Speaker 4>I was like, this feels like it might be a <v Speaker 4>very very polished, very very curated guided demo. So I <v Speaker 4>came out and I was like, it looks really good, <v Speaker 4>but I'm also very suspicious of it. So when I <v Speaker 4>went to this, I was like, all right, let's see <v Speaker 4>what this thing is and still very very curated. We <v Speaker 4>had selections of kind of like chunks of missions to <v Speaker 4>play that were taken from different parts of Act one, <v Speaker 4>but I was surprised at how good it felt in <v Speaker 4>those periods. Again, caveat it might end up being completely different. <v Speaker 4>That could be a very very well polished area of <v Speaker 4>the game that we looked at, but I can only <v Speaker 4>call it as the way I saw it. I noticed <v Speaker 4>people who are out there that are being like, why <v Speaker 4>is no one looking at it critically? It is because, <v Speaker 4>I mean, the stuff that I saw was very good. <v Speaker 4>So if you want me to just like randomly shit <v Speaker 4>on a thing just to tick a box that is <v Speaker 4>like was critical of thing, also, fuck off, I'm not <v Speaker 4>doing that. Like I saw what I saw and that <v Speaker 4>it is what it is, and there was nothing in <v Speaker 4>there that made me think, oh this is sketchy, this <v Speaker 4>is real sketchy. Everything that I saw was like it <v Speaker 4>stuck out to me as being like very well executed, <v Speaker 4>and I think I mentioned this in my preview, but <v Speaker 4>I think a lot of that does come from the <v Speaker 4>fact that it's been in development for a while, so <v Speaker 4>they probably polished the shit out of this part of <v Speaker 4>the game and also maybe the game as a whole. <v Speaker 4>But also it feels like they know what they're doing now. <v Speaker 4>I feel like dread No dread Wolf was the last <v Speaker 4>Inquisition felt like it was trying to be a game <v Speaker 4>for for like the time it was released, like an <v Speaker 4>open world RPG, and it didn't really stick that landing, <v Speaker 4>and it kind of they didn't do it justice and <v Speaker 4>they weren't quite like experience with making open world RPGs. <v Speaker 4>This is a step back. It feels like it is <v Speaker 4>a little more mission based and it has like a <v Speaker 4>a hub area that people go in and out of, <v Speaker 4>and the world still feels pretty big, but also more <v Speaker 4>controlled and feels like they know that they need to <v Speaker 4>get you into the good stuff as soon as possible, <v Speaker 4>and they do that by curating areas instead of having <v Speaker 4>larger spaces that have a lot of downtime or like <v Speaker 4>you're just kind of like using for the sake of <v Speaker 4>having them. So a lot of the stuff that I <v Speaker 4>did was very focused with that was like dungeon crawling <v Speaker 4>or you know, doing like actual conversational stuff or even <v Speaker 4>a little bit of light platforming stuff. And I did <v Speaker 4>it with characters that immediately stuck out to me as <v Speaker 4>being characters that I would like to learn more about <v Speaker 4>or see where they go. Lace Harding is one of <v Speaker 4>my favorite characters in the Dragon Age universe, and she's <v Speaker 4>a main character. She's part of your crew right now, yeah, <v Speaker 4>lead Scout Harding, And she was called an inquisition. <v Speaker 5>That the dwarf for somebody. <v Speaker 4>Yes, yes, she's really cool. And there were others like <v Speaker 4>nev is a kind of like magic wielding private detective, <v Speaker 4>so she has like ana vibe to her going and <v Speaker 4>it's really cool. And then there's other characters. Another guy <v Speaker 4>that we want on a mission to rescue who's basically <v Speaker 4>called the Demon of Varientium I think it is, and <v Speaker 4>he's known for being like he's he's able to blink <v Speaker 4>bring like blood magicians and like high powerful elves and <v Speaker 4>gods to their knees. But he's just like he's like <v Speaker 4>this mythical figure that we're trying to find. He's kind <v Speaker 4>of like Archangel Slash Garrison at the beginning of Mass <v Speaker 4>Effect too, where you're like, we've heard that there's this <v Speaker 4>dude who's legit, too legit to quit. We need to <v Speaker 4>find him. But the whole quest around him is like <v Speaker 4>you go to meet like his grandmother who's the head <v Speaker 4>of like this faction that is in the game, and <v Speaker 4>she's like he's dead, and everyone's like ah, But then <v Speaker 4>she's like, except, I don't think the body I got <v Speaker 4>back was him. I think that it was blood magic <v Speaker 4>used to make him look make that body look like <v Speaker 4>my nephew. I think, yeah, yeah. So then you're like, Okay, <v Speaker 4>what if I went and busted this fall out wherever <v Speaker 4>he is. When when I bring him back, can I <v Speaker 4>use his powers to maybe fight these elven gods that <v Speaker 4>are running a mark? And she's like, yeah, I think <v Speaker 4>about it. Let's see what happens, and off you go <v Speaker 4>to like do this mission. So it's kind of like <v Speaker 4>a loyalty mission a lot always from Mass Effect, and <v Speaker 4>I really really liked that. But the thing that stuck <v Speaker 4>out to me most, which was interesting given that for <v Speaker 4>me a lot of the times in by Way games, <v Speaker 4>the thing I most look forward to is the conversations, <v Speaker 4>the kind of like decision making moments, that kind of stuff. <v Speaker 4>The stuff in between can be fun, Like I enjoyed <v Speaker 4>Mass Effect two's combat. I really like Mass Effect three <v Speaker 4>is Comeback because I think that's where they really hit <v Speaker 4>the sweet spot. And you know, parts of Dragon Ages combat, <v Speaker 4>especially one in the CRPG more feeling kind of era, <v Speaker 4>like I enjoyed that kind of stuff. This feels like <v Speaker 4>a game where, even if I think of it as like, <v Speaker 4>even if the rest of it is kind of okay <v Speaker 4>at best, the gameplay seems like it's good enough to <v Speaker 4>carry me through a significant portion of it. It's a <v Speaker 4>lot more inspired, I think, and paste like Dragon Age two, <v Speaker 4>which was the more action focused game entry in the series, <v Speaker 4>but I still got a lot of that RPG depth <v Speaker 4>where a lot of it comes from having a class <v Speaker 4>and then having like a specialty within the class that <v Speaker 4>feels very very either complimentary or different to what you're doing. <v Speaker 4>So in my mage, for example, build I had a <v Speaker 4>staff which is made staff cool. You use spells and <v Speaker 4>that kind of stuff, but you can hit a button <v Speaker 4>and I would go into a different specialty version where <v Speaker 4>instead of having a staff. I've got a knife, like <v Speaker 4>a very small knife, and I've got this like floating <v Speaker 4>orb around me that is like magically imbuing my knife <v Speaker 4>attacks with elemental damage. So it means that I can <v Speaker 4>be a mage and be like far off chuck my spells. <v Speaker 4>But if it comes to it and I'm like either <v Speaker 4>pinned down or that I need to like get in <v Speaker 4>an enemy's face, I can switch this other version of <v Speaker 4>the ma age get real up close, use my like <v Speaker 4>blocking my dashes and like my rolls to get in close. <v Speaker 4>Even parry, which is wild, Like you can parry moves <v Speaker 4>and like create opportunities to like slow down the enemy <v Speaker 4>and get in there and like do some big damage <v Speaker 4>with a knife. And that's really cool. And there's other <v Speaker 4>characters that do like these wild and wacky things. There's <v Speaker 4>the equivalent of what is effectively a magical Captain America shield, <v Speaker 4>where like you throw this relic and it just like <v Speaker 4>bounces between enemies and then comes back to you, And <v Speaker 4>then I love that is like a very interesting approach. <v Speaker 4>Like your thief. For example, my rogue started off being <v Speaker 4>two blades and I was just like getting in everyone's <v Speaker 4>faces moving around. But then you can switch to like <v Speaker 4>a ranged like bow and arrow version of your rogue, <v Speaker 4>so you can do like really heavy strikes to like <v Speaker 4>pin enemies down, or you can have like a gadget <v Speaker 4>focused made rogue, which is like leaving stuff around to <v Speaker 4>control the battlefield around a little more. And that is <v Speaker 4>like a lot of depth to it. It's all real time, <v Speaker 4>but it also has that pause element where you can <v Speaker 4>bring up the radio menu and be like, I'm going <v Speaker 4>to use like Nev's ability to create this like time <v Speaker 4>bobble where everyone inside it slows it down, which means <v Speaker 4>like I'm going to do that. Switch to my knife, <v Speaker 4>me knife mage, get in real close, get a stab in, <v Speaker 4>and then get out. And like there's loads of Like <v Speaker 4>there's also like combo abilities where you bring up the <v Speaker 4>radio menu and it'll be like, hey, it will like <v Speaker 4>specifically call out too abilities and be like these two <v Speaker 4>combo together, so you should try it. And then when <v Speaker 4>you do it, it will give you like a flashy <v Speaker 4>animation and like up the damage, so you definitely have <v Speaker 4>it gives you a reason to get into the radio menu. <v Speaker 4>And I think the radio menu is also where like <v Speaker 4>it will tell you more information about enemies as you <v Speaker 4>learn them, so instead of having all the like weaknesses <v Speaker 4>and shit like that overlaid. Every time you encounter an enemy, <v Speaker 4>you bring up the radio menu and it will be <v Speaker 4>there in the middle instead. So it's a very good <v Speaker 4>back and forth between the kind of active portion of <v Speaker 4>the game where it's like action focused, and then also <v Speaker 4>the strategic part of it where it's a little slower <v Speaker 4>paced and you're having the ability to like plot your <v Speaker 4>path before you like jump in there and do it. <v Speaker 4>But I found that stuff really really cool, and that <v Speaker 4>was like unfortunately, like I was, I played six hours <v Speaker 4>of it, but I was still on a time limit, <v Speaker 4>so I didn't really get a chance to like go <v Speaker 4>back and switch classes and like figure out the intricacies <v Speaker 4>or even like do things like work in a different <v Speaker 4>weapon or like an arm and see how that works. <v Speaker 4>I did get up to a point with Ana. Lucy <v Speaker 4>was there as well, and she did the same thing, <v Speaker 4>where as the I think it was the Rogue or <v Speaker 4>maybe yeah, I think the Rogue or the Mage, one <v Speaker 4>of those two. But I basically had a necrotic blade <v Speaker 4>where I'd put like a necromancy kind of attribute on <v Speaker 4>my blade, so I was like doing crazy chip damage <v Speaker 4>and then I could put down a turret, get in there, <v Speaker 4>use my necrotic blade, use the turret to kind of <v Speaker 4>pin them down and keep them locked in place, and <v Speaker 4>then like string together these wild like abilities, and it <v Speaker 4>felt like it had a decent amount of depth, and <v Speaker 4>it also felt good, not in the way that Dragon <v Speaker 4>Age two felt like it was an RPG game trying <v Speaker 4>to be a action game. This felt more like an <v Speaker 4>action game. It has that stickiness, slight stickiness to get <v Speaker 4>you at enemies faces. Quicker I described it as being <v Speaker 4>kind of like Batman, but you're not like going as <v Speaker 4>far as Batman does when you hit a button and <v Speaker 4>he like glides across the room, but you have just <v Speaker 4>enough to be like, you're not wing attacks constantly. You <v Speaker 4>have to like and then you're able to move between <v Speaker 4>enemies a little better. You've got the dodges and parties <v Speaker 4>and that kind of stuff. So it feels and is <v Speaker 4>responsive more like an action game. <v Speaker 2>So that is like, you still feel like the RPG <v Speaker 2>elements over top of all this, Yes, what you were saying. <v Speaker 4>I feel like the RPG elements on top of it. <v Speaker 4>You still have to mix in your own magical ability <v Speaker 4>and your abilities to make sure that you're not mixing <v Speaker 4>things up. Enemies appear with like a shields, so like <v Speaker 4>as the major, I was switching to this like beam <v Speaker 4>that I would use to like really chip away at <v Speaker 4>the at the shields and break that down. Because if <v Speaker 4>you don't do that, they just keep recovering the shields <v Speaker 4>and the harder enemies become harder. So you need to <v Speaker 4>like prioritize, Okay, So I would like use nev to <v Speaker 4>put a slow down bubble hold that enemy in place, <v Speaker 4>use my shield breaking abilities get rid of that, and <v Speaker 4>then like everyone else would just pile on the damage. <v Speaker 4>I could like have one of my other characters like <v Speaker 4>launch themselves into you and do like an overhead strike. <v Speaker 4>So I feel like there's a good synergy between all <v Speaker 4>these parts, at least in the part that I played, <v Speaker 4>and that was just with like a couple of characters. <v Speaker 5>That's that's encouraging. Like one of my concerns because when <v Speaker 5>I saw like the preview of it at Summer Game Fest, <v Speaker 5>like I definitely took away how pretty it looked and <v Speaker 5>how you know, interesting the character seemed. But it was <v Speaker 5>like the first hour of the games of the Combats, <v Speaker 5>it was very simple of course, and like Dragon Age's inquisitions, <v Speaker 5>combat felt fine to me, but from what I remember, <v Speaker 5>it also felt a bit like, you know, attack and <v Speaker 5>then when your ability to come off cool down, use <v Speaker 5>those abilities. So having a bit more depth there would <v Speaker 5>definitely be. <v Speaker 4>Yeah, and like there is ways to like skill trees. <v Speaker 4>You have skille tree, you have a core skill tree, <v Speaker 4>so a rogue has a Rogue skill tree, but then <v Speaker 4>you have three specialist skal trees as well, and you <v Speaker 4>can switch between the specialists specializations not mid combat, but <v Speaker 4>there are I believe I'm correct in saying that there's <v Speaker 4>points where you can be like I'm gonna switch to <v Speaker 4>this special specialization now. So there is also like ways <v Speaker 4>to improve stuff like you know, oh my call downs <v Speaker 4>are quicker, I get more damage if I'm attacking this <v Speaker 4>type of enemy, et cetera, et cetera. So it does <v Speaker 4>have the kind of RPG focused upgrade paths as well, <v Speaker 4>which is really really cool. And also like I also <v Speaker 4>liked the way the world looks. It definitely had a <v Speaker 4>almost fortnightey like polishedness and cartooniness to it. At a time, <v Speaker 4>I looked at it and I was like, oh, okay, <v Speaker 4>but I think it that's intentional because it allows them <v Speaker 4>to be a little more diverse with the color palette. <v Speaker 4>Like the the area that you start off is Minrathus, <v Speaker 4>which is kind of like the capital city of to <v Speaker 4>the t Winta Empire, and it looks like so bright <v Speaker 4>and visually colorful compared to like Inquisition. I remember Inquisition <v Speaker 4>being like a yellow game, even though there are different <v Speaker 4>parts of this green. Yeah, yellow and green was what <v Speaker 4>I remember, But like Minrathus immediately is like purple and <v Speaker 4>greens and neon and that kind of stuff. And I <v Speaker 4>feel like that style allows them to be a little <v Speaker 4>more kind of like diverse with how they style areas <v Speaker 4>in the same way that it's kind of like, oh, <v Speaker 4>we can use a comic book aesthetic to make everything <v Speaker 4>look wild and wacky and fantastical and it works, and <v Speaker 4>like Minrathus look really cool. And then like above you <v Speaker 4>is like the Archon's Palace, which is like giant floating <v Speaker 4>ship that is like a bit like Iosuroni, and it's <v Speaker 4>like got these massive search lights looking for people around <v Speaker 4>and you're like, oh, okay. But then there's like a <v Speaker 4>forest area where you know, it's like ruins and nature <v Speaker 4>is like thriving again there, but there's also like busted <v Speaker 4>down like magical artifacts and stuff like that, so there's <v Speaker 4>elements of magic knocking around, and I thought it looked <v Speaker 4>really nice. I was surprised, and also like character models <v Speaker 4>look really good. The hair is wild, like. <v Speaker 3>It looks good. I'm looking at a vega right now. <v Speaker 2>It's noticing like the stylisation that you're talking about, like <v Speaker 2>all the characters being able to like look very different <v Speaker 2>and kind of like very diet. Fortnite reminds me of <v Speaker 2>like fantasy games we'd get on the game cube and <v Speaker 2>stuff like that, but obviously like way more high quality. <v Speaker 2>But then the lighting and the materials, including the hair, <v Speaker 2>look really good. <v Speaker 1>Yeah. <v Speaker 3>It kind of strikes me as a balance between what <v Speaker 3>World of Warcraft actually looks like and what the World <v Speaker 3>of Warcraft movie wound up. <v Speaker 4>Yeah, pretty much. Yeah, But like overall, I went in <v Speaker 4>there with pretty low expectations. I'm naturally quite a cynical person, <v Speaker 4>so I went in there thinking this is probably where <v Speaker 4>I start poking holes in it, and most of what <v Speaker 4>I play like, I was just like, I'm having a <v Speaker 4>great time with this. I wish I could play more. <v Speaker 4>I wish I didn't have to like skip from point <v Speaker 4>to point. Like the sections that I was skipping between <v Speaker 4>weren't like like, oh, you played ten minutes of this, <v Speaker 4>now move on to this. It was like between an <v Speaker 4>hour and a half to two hours per section, and <v Speaker 4>it was just a case of like we want They <v Speaker 4>were like, we want you to get a a different <v Speaker 4>kind of stage of your character's like power levels, So <v Speaker 4>that's why we're skipping you around so you know what <v Speaker 4>it feels like to be a more powerful character and <v Speaker 4>lower and also like they switched it up so they <v Speaker 4>had different classes available there. So I came away feeling <v Speaker 4>like quite excited about it. The story is the main <v Speaker 4>part that I'm like not one hundred percent sure about <v Speaker 4>yet it seems like it's interesting. They're kind of like <v Speaker 4>I wrote in my preview that they they know that <v Speaker 4>they have a lot of nostalgia to work with, but <v Speaker 4>they also know they need to create a interesting kind <v Speaker 4>of like story that ties things together. So they have <v Speaker 4>already mentioned, oh, the Inquisitor is going to pop up <v Speaker 4>at some point. They announced Morgan's returning, so I'm intrigued <v Speaker 4>where that goes. But so far, what I've seen has <v Speaker 4>been encouraging more than anything, and again qualification preview event. <v Speaker 4>Maybe I've been hoodwinked, but I called it like I <v Speaker 4>saw it. I came out of there thinking that was <v Speaker 4>really cool, Like that was everything I want from a <v Speaker 4>Bioway game, and ultimately having left that if this turns <v Speaker 4>out to be as good as it is, seems like <v Speaker 4>it also makes me excited about buyowear and a new <v Speaker 4>mass effect as well, which is maybe it's copium, but <v Speaker 4>like I kind of need that, if you know what <v Speaker 4>I mean. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, no, I mean that team that teem's been through <v Speaker 2>a lot, and you know, I remember talking early on <v Speaker 2>about Biowear and people talk like wonder what the future <v Speaker 2>was and everyone being so down and like, I don't know, <v Speaker 2>everyone that's like seems to be moving up at that place. <v Speaker 2>Are all the people that like were went through fire <v Speaker 2>in terms of like rescuing Star Wars, the Old Republic <v Speaker 2>and all these other things, and they did all this <v Speaker 2>hard work to get all these games into really good places, <v Speaker 2>and those are the people in charge now. Obviously there's <v Speaker 2>a lot of people who have been working on mass <v Speaker 2>effecting Dragon Age for a very long time, still in <v Speaker 2>key positions, but it's like I don't know. <v Speaker 3>It seems like. <v Speaker 2>There's a lot of people there that really care about <v Speaker 2>the future of Bywear in Charge, and so I always <v Speaker 2>felt pretty positive and it's nice to see. I mean, <v Speaker 2>you're damn You're not alone. Every preview is coming out, <v Speaker 2>everyone's positive. I was like checking out like some some <v Speaker 2>more of the cynical YouTubers that are like that cover <v Speaker 2>nothing but computer RPGs and BioWare and stuff like that, <v Speaker 2>and they went to the event and even they're like, <v Speaker 2>this is the first Byowere game I've been looking forward <v Speaker 2>to since mass Eveact three, So yeah, there's reasons to <v Speaker 2>be positive. <v Speaker 4>The people I spoke to there were like other people <v Speaker 4>playing it. We were all kind of like, is it <v Speaker 4>just me? Or is this like good? And everyone's like <v Speaker 4>kind of like, I think it is good. So everyone <v Speaker 4>was surprised. And then I did an interview with like <v Speaker 4>the director and one of the producers, and there was <v Speaker 4>a confidence in the way they spoke about the game <v Speaker 4>that made me feel like, Oh, they've got a grip <v Speaker 4>on this. They know what they're doing here. Maybe that <v Speaker 4>final product isn't great, but at the very least at <v Speaker 4>the end of it, that team can say we had <v Speaker 4>a clear idea, we executed an idea either worked, didn't <v Speaker 4>want or some people liked it. <v Speaker 3>Tim it looks like we're at the end of our time. <v Speaker 4>Before I go, I saw one question pop up Splodge, <v Speaker 4>and the question was like, do you know if they <v Speaker 4>have the hinterland issue? They very they very specifically said like, <v Speaker 4>we were aware of the hinter land issue and we <v Speaker 4>did everything we can to avoid that. So I think <v Speaker 4>the opening area is just like you get in and <v Speaker 4>get the hell out of there quickly. <v Speaker 2>It seems like they are very cognizant of avoiding fat <v Speaker 2>on the meat. Yes, they're just giving you all mean <v Speaker 2>and all mean and that's that seems pretty cool. <v Speaker 4>Yeah, I'm excited to play it. It's a game that <v Speaker 4>I was like, I'm gonna play it, but I'll just <v Speaker 4>keep an eye on it. And then now it's gone <v Speaker 4>to like I I'm one of my most anticipated games. So, <v Speaker 4>I mean, I love Bioway games, I love RPG games. <v Speaker 4>So this is in my wheelhouse already. But I'm excited <v Speaker 4>to like sit down with it and like spend some <v Speaker 4>time in dragon Age again. <v Speaker 3>Hell yeah, yep, folks, We're gonna folks, We're gonna take <v Speaker 3>a quick breaking break just as it say about it, <v Speaker 3>tam in private and say our pleasantries, and then we'll <v Speaker 3>be back with the Grand Canyon right after this break. <v Speaker 3>I got, I got, I got a question for for <v Speaker 3>you boyos here all right, Hi, what is like it <v Speaker 3>too late to get into a show? Like I I <v Speaker 3>think I think the show is like done. I'm assumed <v Speaker 3>big but that I I just saw a blooper reel <v Speaker 3>or like a highlight reel of a show that I'm like, Man, <v Speaker 3>I'm gonna get into this. <v Speaker 5>I think most of the shows I like I watched <v Speaker 5>after they went off air. <v Speaker 3>Yeah, he's a reverse He's a reverse hipster. Yeah, he <v Speaker 3>then gets into them. Yeah, because is did anything happen <v Speaker 3>with Danny McBride is Danny McBride? <v Speaker 2>Like, I think we're still mostly okay on Danny McBride. <v Speaker 2>I think Danny McBride has been even since being introduced. <v Speaker 3>Okay, because I just saw a video of him and <v Speaker 3>Eastbound Down just going felix since. <v Speaker 2>Oh, I think I think Eastbounding Down is one that <v Speaker 2>you can get into at any moment, okay, because I <v Speaker 2>think think that's gonna be a good. <v Speaker 3>Investment, cause I think you're gonna be able to make <v Speaker 3>a lot of references there that people will appreciate. Cool. <v Speaker 3>I think we should just incorporate fixings into everything, like. <v Speaker 5>In terms of like side dishes in southern food. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, but we can also like put our own spin <v Speaker 2>on it. Fixings of the year that could be one <v Speaker 2>of the category. Yeah, like fgure out what that means <v Speaker 2>for games like this Astrobot. <v Speaker 3>He got a lot of fixing. The Astrobat definitely has <v Speaker 3>a lot of fixings. Yeah, Like you have to like <v Speaker 3>it's like it's like you stumbled with one of your legs. <v Speaker 3>As you're saying, like, it's like or you're doing like <v Speaker 3>a little jig upon get me some fix. Oh yeah, <v Speaker 3>a little jig. It's good. Hey, I listened to the <v Speaker 3>voice bail dub truck you all did yesterday. What the <v Speaker 3>hell happened? <v Speaker 5>That's great? What do you mean? <v Speaker 3>That's what happened? <v Speaker 5>And you're welcome good content? <v Speaker 3>Right, it's great content. What are the best? Every voice <v Speaker 3>bailed dub truck is the do best voice bail better <v Speaker 3>and better? <v Speaker 5>Okay? I ask you this because like Jeff just wants <v Speaker 5>the goof and you can't take him seriously Sometimes are. <v Speaker 3>We good, but I can't bring up the Kingdom Hearts. <v Speaker 2>I don't know what is issue was there, don't you <v Speaker 2>It's not a satisfactory explanation. <v Speaker 3>I'm still shoot hot. <v Speaker 5>Yeah, characters stress up in costumes for Halloween. <v Speaker 2>There, it is totally You're just like, that explains Kingdom Hearts, <v Speaker 2>all right. <v Speaker 5>Is very popular. So that's the one they chose because <v Speaker 5>everybody really likes when they go in their Kingdom Hearse <v Speaker 5>outfits your question. Please you don't you don't think there's <v Speaker 5>any remote chance that Rosalina is more popular than. <v Speaker 3>Way? <v Speaker 5>There was no way, Like like you could ask me <v Speaker 5>that I would have shot the time of the podcast. <v Speaker 3>You could send the gimmicks on assignment, have them roll <v Speaker 3>up with two pieces of paper or like two jars, <v Speaker 3>one in the second grade, like one with Rosalina, one <v Speaker 3>with Mini Mouse, and give them a bag of jelly <v Speaker 3>beans and then like, hey, put it put in the jar. <v Speaker 3>Who you recognize suitor and it's gonna be Mini Bose. <v Speaker 3>Maybe bus is going to take the jellybeans anyway, Jeff Grubb, <v Speaker 3>you went to the Grand Cadid. <v Speaker 2>I went to the Grand Canyon. Yes, we talked about <v Speaker 2>this in a couple of places, but it was a <v Speaker 2>good time. It was a really fun trip. It was <v Speaker 2>great to hang out with Vinnie, saw a lot of <v Speaker 2>people from the industry. <v Speaker 3>Though it was it was. <v Speaker 2>Nice for as quick as the trip was, you know, <v Speaker 2>flying one day, then hang out all day like doing <v Speaker 2>stuff for Flight Simulator, and then flying home first thing <v Speaker 2>the next morning at like two am. <v Speaker 3>It was. <v Speaker 2>It was still nice because it's like we were doing <v Speaker 2>enough things together that there was plenty of time to <v Speaker 2>talk to people and hang out. But yeah, I played <v Speaker 2>Flight Simulator and I had a good time with her. <v Speaker 2>So they gave a presentation. There's a couple things I <v Speaker 2>haven't mentioned yet. The biggest headache with Flight Simulator twenty twenty, <v Speaker 2>I think most people would say is simply installing the game, <v Speaker 2>like just actually installing it, because what it is you <v Speaker 2>download a gigabyte file from Steam or whatever, the Microsoft Store, <v Speaker 2>and then that it gives you a client, and then <v Speaker 2>that client is like, okay, here it is. <v Speaker 3>Here's one hundred and fifty. <v Speaker 2>Gigabytes, and it's not necessarily coming from the fastest servers <v Speaker 2>in the world, and two hours later maybe you're playing <v Speaker 2>the game and it was really two hours. I think <v Speaker 2>that turned a lot of people off, and of course <v Speaker 2>the team hated that. They knew that this was a <v Speaker 2>big pain point. So they do have a solution this time, <v Speaker 2>and the installed process is much closer to like ten <v Speaker 2>to fifteen minutes this time. And the solution is almost <v Speaker 2>everything is going to get streamed in from the cloud, <v Speaker 2>just about like all the planes, the Earth, the digital twin, <v Speaker 2>all the airports, everything is hosted in the cloud. So <v Speaker 2>that means that you can foot up the game, start <v Speaker 2>playing Fly anywhere, and the game will just stream it <v Speaker 2>in sort of seamlessly. <v Speaker 3>And it does. All that stuff works. <v Speaker 2>Now when I say that, do you guys have any <v Speaker 2>reservations about what that might mean for the game? <v Speaker 3>I feel like, not that I don't trust streaming stuff <v Speaker 3>into a game, but I worry about pop in a <v Speaker 3>lot and then just like you know, ruining my immersion <v Speaker 3>grub as I'm flying over a place, and then like <v Speaker 3>textures being loaded in improperly. <v Speaker 5>I guess there's no offline mode. <v Speaker 2>Oh yeah, that too, uh so I think there might <v Speaker 2>be ways to run it offline, but then you are <v Speaker 2>going to have a greatly reduced version of the game. <v Speaker 2>So I brought this up when I talked to to <v Speaker 2>jorg Uh and I'm like, when I hear that, I <v Speaker 2>get worried about Hey, like can I use all my mods? <v Speaker 3>And he's like, look, you can. <v Speaker 2>There is a gonna be a folder in this game <v Speaker 2>where you could play anything you want into that folder <v Speaker 2>and run and run the game and tell it to <v Speaker 2>use that stuff, and then it's gonna be less optimized, <v Speaker 2>it's gonna run a little bit worse, but that's your. <v Speaker 3>Choice, and you could still do that, so you still <v Speaker 3>have all of. <v Speaker 2>The freedom of configuring the game how you wanted to <v Speaker 2>work from that side of things, whether or not that <v Speaker 2>then transfers to people being like, well, what if I <v Speaker 2>wanted to do to install the entire game on my <v Speaker 2>machine in that folder and have all the assets host locally. Well, <v Speaker 2>you know, there's there's a limit to that, obviously, but <v Speaker 2>let's say you want to have all the planes in <v Speaker 2>the airports. You could probably there's probably a way to <v Speaker 2>do that, but it would be probably a. <v Speaker 3>Little bit less performance. <v Speaker 2>Based on what I saw where there was no pop <v Speaker 2>then there was no it just ran great coming up <v Speaker 2>from the cloud, and of course I'm in a controlled environment, <v Speaker 2>but it was a hotel that we were at and <v Speaker 2>not like one that's like the most technologically advanced hotel <v Speaker 2>in the world. So I get the sense that this <v Speaker 2>is relatively in line with how most people's experience is <v Speaker 2>going to be. We'll be able to judge that better <v Speaker 2>when it finally comes out. I got the sense that <v Speaker 2>this is probably the best compromise, and the game will <v Speaker 2>still work how most people want it to work. And <v Speaker 2>the reality is you could only install so much locally <v Speaker 2>in the last one because the Earth was several petabytes <v Speaker 2>of information. No one was installing that game locally. A <v Speaker 2>lot of it was still streaming from the cloud, and <v Speaker 2>they didn't have complaints. <v Speaker 3>For that stuff. <v Speaker 2>It's just now they're also going to be streaming into <v Speaker 2>planes and all the others the planes, trains, automobiles, And <v Speaker 2>this also gives them like apparently more freedom to do <v Speaker 2>stuff like Hey, they went to the Planet Zoo people, <v Speaker 2>a team that they've worked with before, like hey, yeah, <v Speaker 2>can we yes, can we have all of your animal models? <v Speaker 2>And they took all the animal models from those games, <v Speaker 2>and then they populated like Africa with drafts and stuff <v Speaker 2>like that. So now you can fly a plane over <v Speaker 2>and you're going to see herds of animals moving in <v Speaker 2>real time, and that it looks great, it's really really cool, <v Speaker 2>and so a lot of that stuff was winning me <v Speaker 2>over in terms of, like, Okay, if this is the <v Speaker 2>compromise we have to make to be able to get <v Speaker 2>this world to feel even more alive, I'm mostly okay <v Speaker 2>with it, especially hearing that I'm going to have access <v Speaker 2>to the folder where I could put any mod in <v Speaker 2>there that I want and they're not going to try <v Speaker 2>to take that away from people, which was which was <v Speaker 2>my concerning He's like, no, that's that was never even <v Speaker 2>a conversation. <v Speaker 3>This is how it's gonna work. You're just very precious <v Speaker 3>about all of your Shrek mods. I understand. <v Speaker 2>I'm like, I am so like I want to like <v Speaker 2>my games to feel like they're mind and that goes <v Speaker 2>beyond like oh own, No. I want to be able <v Speaker 2>to like do whatever I want to this game, and <v Speaker 2>I don't want the fact that anything's in the cloud <v Speaker 2>to stand in the way, which feels like, you know, <v Speaker 2>we're always kind of edging in that direction, and I'm like, <v Speaker 2>I fear that future. <v Speaker 3>Grub after going to this event, how tempted were you <v Speaker 3>to get like a bigger setup to play like a <v Speaker 3>flight simulator game or any other sim type of game. Definitely. <v Speaker 2>I'm like thinking about, like what would I think is <v Speaker 2>the ideal set up? And I was doing that those <v Speaker 2>F eighteen Challenge missions and when I the run I <v Speaker 2>put in the video is actually not my best run. <v Speaker 2>I it was a pretty good run, but I started <v Speaker 2>losing time halfway through the run, like compared to the <v Speaker 2>ghost I was going up against, which I think was <v Speaker 2>the dev time, And I was like, what am I <v Speaker 2>doing wrong here? And then I just kind of like <v Speaker 2>I am not using the foot pedals to sort of <v Speaker 2>adjust to like the the you know, the the horizontal <v Speaker 2>yall or pitch or whatever of the things. So I <v Speaker 2>was like once I started dialing that in and could <v Speaker 2>feel myself doing these turns like kind of pushing the <v Speaker 2>plane against the air even harder, like sort of like <v Speaker 2>when you push yourself against the wave and wave race, <v Speaker 2>and it's like, okay, now it's going to push you <v Speaker 2>in that direction even faster. Once I started started dialing <v Speaker 2>that in, I'm like, oh, I kind of I don't <v Speaker 2>think I'm gonna be able to play this game without <v Speaker 2>having the foot pedals, Like I'm kind of really into this, <v Speaker 2>so I started, Okay, I want the foot pedals, and <v Speaker 2>if I'm gonna get the foot pedals, maybe I would <v Speaker 2>probably get a more intense hotss I have. I have <v Speaker 2>this very very basic thrust Master hotas, but there's the throttle. <v Speaker 3>There's the throttle. <v Speaker 2>I got my hands on my throttle on my stick constantly, <v Speaker 2>and it's, uh, it's fine. <v Speaker 3>It works. <v Speaker 2>But the one that they had me using was the <v Speaker 2>Turtle Beach one that did have tons of buttons, and <v Speaker 2>I'm like, it's fun to flip a switch. It's fun <v Speaker 2>to like lift a lid and then hit a switch <v Speaker 2>underneath that, and uh, you know, it's also a bit overwhelming. <v Speaker 2>So it's like, if I'm gonna do that, I kind <v Speaker 2>of feel like I'm gonna have to commit. Uh, but <v Speaker 2>a lot of that stuff work works. The problem is like, <v Speaker 2>well that worked for the F eighteen. Then when I <v Speaker 2>go if I want to go fly a seven eighty <v Speaker 2>seven Dreamliner, I'm gonna want a yoke instead. And then it'say, okay, <v Speaker 2>are we talking about having both and swapping them in <v Speaker 2>every time I'm switching planes. That's I tell myself, I <v Speaker 2>might do that, but I probably won't actually simulator. <v Speaker 5>You're really gonna be right right? <v Speaker 2>Well, yeah, it's worth it exactly, And it's like, am <v Speaker 2>I gonna I really enjoy playing the game. I want <v Speaker 2>to spend more time with Flight Simulator, but it's like <v Speaker 2>I need to just recognize that it's probably okay to <v Speaker 2>use the hotels I have and then use the mouse <v Speaker 2>and keyboard to actually do all the in game controls <v Speaker 2>on the avionics and sort of like find that happy <v Speaker 2>middle ground. <v Speaker 3>Another game that I brought this up for the last <v Speaker 3>two mombcasts actually, but I'm gonna I think this may <v Speaker 3>be the last time I bring up because I beat it. <v Speaker 3>I absolutely with tactical Breach Wizards. Folks. Yeah, I could <v Speaker 3>tell you more and more you're into it. I think <v Speaker 3>this is a good year for funny games. On top <v Speaker 3>of thank goodness you're here, this is this handles like <v Speaker 3>the writing aspect incredibly well. I've mentioned this before, but <v Speaker 3>I know that I'm having a good time with a game, <v Speaker 3>particularly a PC game. If I'm constantly hitting F twelve <v Speaker 3>and my screenshot folder is like absolutely filled with twenty <v Speaker 3>little scenes, it's really good. The I think the thing <v Speaker 3>that is keeping this from like a five out of <v Speaker 3>five game and brings us down to like maybe a <v Speaker 3>three and a half to a flour is that it <v Speaker 3>is not optimized at all playing with a controller or <v Speaker 3>playing on a Steam deck, and like into the breach <v Speaker 3>handles that transition from keyboard and mouse to controller incredibly well. <v Speaker 3>And we've gone to the point now where you can <v Speaker 3>have a tactics game play completely fine, if not better, <v Speaker 3>on a controller. I mean, look at Mario and Rabbits <v Speaker 3>whatever the game is called. <v Speaker 5>I forget, and then the second one. <v Speaker 3>And then yeah, Sparks of Hope of course, right, Sparks <v Speaker 3>of Hope with your little Rumba friend. The tactical Breech Wizards. <v Speaker 3>On top of nailing the comedy aspect, I feel like <v Speaker 3>they do a good job of doling out new abilities <v Speaker 3>and new characters at at the right time where you <v Speaker 3>can feel a little bit exhausting or you feel a <v Speaker 3>little bit like powerless if you are rolling into encounters <v Speaker 3>with only so many tools at your disposal. Here like <v Speaker 3>they incentivize you to use all of your tools, even <v Speaker 3>on just a singular turn, Like by the time you <v Speaker 3>get to the last act, you can wind up moving <v Speaker 3>your characters two three times and having them repeat actions <v Speaker 3>and and set up the board and completely clear the <v Speaker 3>board of the enemies and objectives within that singular turn <v Speaker 3>and try and incentivize that by adding these little confidence <v Speaker 3>side side objectives. And the neat thing is the game <v Speaker 3>emphasizes you to you throughout the whole time. From the <v Speaker 3>introduction of the confidence side objective is like, hey, you <v Speaker 3>don't have to go for this. This is only if <v Speaker 3>you find yourself like wanting a little bit of a challenge, <v Speaker 3>you want a little bit of oomph, because all the <v Speaker 3>confidence points gets you is just new fun little costumes, <v Speaker 3>and they play really well on the relationships, the interpersonal <v Speaker 3>relationships between your characters and even between your enemies as <v Speaker 3>the story progresses. Another downside of the game that you <v Speaker 3>can kind of brute force your way through is they <v Speaker 3>do a Alan Wake style mind palace thing with a <v Speaker 3>game in between some of the acts where all right, <v Speaker 3>you got to connect your characters to this location and <v Speaker 3>what's the motivation between this location and these like drugs <v Speaker 3>and these drugs and then this gang and then this <v Speaker 3>gang and then this other location, but what about these <v Speaker 3>other drugs? But it's really it's really freaking good y'all. <v Speaker 3>It's the motivation always. Drugs are fun. Drugs are fun, <v Speaker 3>and drugs are magical, and in this world they actually <v Speaker 3>are magical. Oh, very fun. And it's just so funny <v Speaker 3>just seeing all the fantasy trappings used in a completely <v Speaker 3>unseerious way. Uh, and that resonates with me because I've <v Speaker 3>never quite really been into fantasy. And you know, I'm <v Speaker 3>gonna say this, y'all, Mike, don't get too excited. Don't <v Speaker 3>get too excited here. I've been watching Rings of Power. <v Speaker 3>I've been really enjoying it. Let me finish this, But <v Speaker 3>Watchings of Power, and I've been thinking about getting all <v Speaker 3>the way into Lord of the Rings in fantasy. <v Speaker 5>Okay, Well, yeah, I went from. <v Speaker 3>Space to like, you know, maybe I like Dwarves more. <v Speaker 5>You talked the Big Game and that did it janifest <v Speaker 5>at all? <v Speaker 3>So because I watch the Netflix series and I couldn't <v Speaker 3>find the easiest place to watch the old stuff because <v Speaker 3>I didn't want to get parabout plush. But the other thing, <v Speaker 3>the game that I've been checked out, folks. Uh, there's <v Speaker 3>there's a lot of stuff we can't talk about right <v Speaker 3>now because of embargoes. But uh, hold on, let me <v Speaker 3>just type this out. I have been, I've been playing <v Speaker 3>out and this has been optimized in a much better <v Speaker 3>way now for the Steam deck is Marvel's Midnight Suns. <v Speaker 5>Oh, you have the tactics bug. <v Speaker 3>Yeah, I got the tactics bug, bad bad, And like <v Speaker 3>this is there's no tiles in this, They're just cards. <v Speaker 3>Cards are kind of like tiles when you think about it, Man, <v Speaker 3>Majo tiles is mojo a tile game you but you <v Speaker 3>handle the tiles. <v Speaker 5>Yeah, I'm the tiles tile handler. <v Speaker 3>You've become the tile now anyway, Oh, I can't type <v Speaker 3>mid Night Sons. Okay, Marvel's Midnight Sun's completely slept on <v Speaker 3>when it came out, and I feel like we have <v Speaker 3>been on. Actually a good upswell of license games, particularly <v Speaker 3>Marvel ones. Marvel's Avengers is hit or miss for some folks. <v Speaker 3>The story is good, but the actual like gameplay. But <v Speaker 3>Marvel's Midnight Suns is a fantastic tactics game where if <v Speaker 3>you want to explore the relationships with any of the <v Speaker 3>Marvel characters, it really have like a weird budding romance <v Speaker 3>or bromance with some of the lesser known characters that <v Speaker 3>aren't your big MCU characters. Like Iron Man or Captain <v Speaker 3>America and you want to maybe forelongingly stare at the <v Speaker 3>moon with Johnny bl Now, no, squirrel Girl, Unfortunately, maybe <v Speaker 3>they've modded you can maybe you can find them mod <v Speaker 3>for score whatever you want. Probably yah, yeah, that's that's <v Speaker 3>very squirrel Girl of you. This is like such a <v Speaker 3>solid tactics game that I feel like a lot of <v Speaker 3>people slept on. This goes on sale a lot of <v Speaker 3>the time. And if you are kind of tired of <v Speaker 3>the MCU fication of Marvel and you want to just <v Speaker 3>explore like the side weird stuff like if you want <v Speaker 3>a Blade game, that's a good Blade game, or you <v Speaker 3>want some cool representation of some of the other lesser <v Speaker 3>known characters ian Marvel, one hundred percent check this out. Also, <v Speaker 3>this is another game that encourages you to use tactics <v Speaker 3>to kick people off of roofs, and that is just <v Speaker 3>close to me. Yeah defenestration. Did I say it right <v Speaker 3>this time? Yes? Is it still defenestration if you kick <v Speaker 3>someone off a roof? Probably not. I think that is <v Speaker 3>specifically through a window. I think. Also, the other motivation <v Speaker 3>for checking this out, folks, is yes, I'm feeling the swell, <v Speaker 3>the positive swell of Agatha all along because of Catherine <v Speaker 3>on An Aubrey Plaza and folks, I'm just I am <v Speaker 3>only human. <v Speaker 5>Yeah, somebody who's like, maybe the only MCU show I <v Speaker 5>watched all the way through was Wanda Vision. Maybe maybe <v Speaker 5>this one I can't actually go back to or go <v Speaker 5>to and Mike. <v Speaker 3>I heard there's a musical episode. I heard there's a butt. <v Speaker 3>A butt. Oh, I heard there's a butt. Yeah yeahs wow, <v Speaker 3>But the. <v Speaker 2>Crack and everything with the whole crack. There's two cracks <v Speaker 2>this time in seventeen Wow. Yeah, this is nothing matters <v Speaker 2>would streaming TV you can just go for it? Uh, boys, <v Speaker 2>any other games you want to talk about? <v Speaker 3>These ends? You got to tie up or Gevans Okay, <v Speaker 3>I have a big lossent. <v Speaker 5>Let's let's hash this out right now. Jeff, Okay, what <v Speaker 5>is so confusing about this Kingdom Hearts costume? <v Speaker 3>Guys? I am too sick to deal with this. <v Speaker 2>So I I just like, there is a stand that <v Speaker 2>that Jan took a picture in front of it with <v Speaker 2>with his friends that was king Hearts, And I'm like, <v Speaker 2>why is why is it a Kingdom Hearts stand? And <v Speaker 2>then you just said because Halloween and that I don't <v Speaker 2>connect the tissue between that explanation and like me seeing <v Speaker 2>the picture, I didn't understand, but you were just like, no, <v Speaker 2>it's because it's so popular and people like it. You <v Speaker 2>just said that to that's the latest explanation you gave <v Speaker 2>to me. If that's the explanation, that is one I <v Speaker 2>can't accept. <v Speaker 5>So there is because of the Halloween bash. There are <v Speaker 5>tons of pop up photo opportunities that they put throughout <v Speaker 5>the party. <v Speaker 3>Did not know that? <v Speaker 5>There you go, that was the missing piece of I <v Speaker 5>don't know why I assumed you knew that part. <v Speaker 2>Okay, So there's a lot of these ones, and one <v Speaker 2>of them happens to be Kingdom Hearts that all like <v Speaker 2>just pieces together. <v Speaker 3>I get it now that it turns out you could <v Speaker 3>settle arguments that spiral into multiple different podcast Chad, it <v Speaker 3>was way more fund to yell at each other. Mike, <v Speaker 3>I like that better. <v Speaker 5>I'm sorry. <v Speaker 3>I'm just trying to teach people lesson at home that <v Speaker 3>maybe we could all get along if you know, you <v Speaker 3>just explain the context subtypes, all right. <v Speaker 2>If you're wondering what the context of this is, listen <v Speaker 2>to the voicemail dump track. <v Speaker 5>Yeah. <v Speaker 3>Yeah, So it was a good time top ten episode <v Speaker 3>and I say that about every single episode because it's <v Speaker 3>the truth. It's always the truth. <v Speaker 5>Make my camera shake like this so much nothing that <v Speaker 5>I was like just moving my knee and the camera's like, <v Speaker 5>we don't like it. <v Speaker 2>I have mine mounted to the wall so that would <v Speaker 2>stop happening to me because I got real bad case <v Speaker 2>of the shaky legs. <v Speaker 5>Yeah, I got a new webcam coming in and walcause <v Speaker 5>this has been dying. <v Speaker 3>So oh, I'm so excited. I'm so excited, so hot, <v Speaker 3>it's gonna be so hot. Uh, folks, thank you for <v Speaker 3>anyone else, got any grievances they want to air? <v Speaker 2>No, but I'm wondering, like you you guys have like <v Speaker 2>an attack plan for a lot of these games coming <v Speaker 2>out right now, Like, oh boy, No, I'm like, I'm <v Speaker 2>happy that we're doing the Space Marine two things. I'm like, <v Speaker 2>we're we're gonna want to go back to that so <v Speaker 2>I can like put that to the side of my <v Speaker 2>free time and we'll just I'll play that with Dan <v Speaker 2>and Jan. <v Speaker 3>That's great. <v Speaker 2>But then, like I did start Wild Bastards and it <v Speaker 2>did click with me, but I want to play UFO <v Speaker 2>fifty Frost Punk two is calling at me so hard <v Speaker 2>right now that Death Sprint sixty six looks really like <v Speaker 2>up my my alley. <v Speaker 3>I'm probably not gonna go to the Squire. <v Speaker 5>Best that I can. The thing that is worrying me, <v Speaker 5>Solas show me the most is I don't know if <v Speaker 5>I'm getting to like a dragon and I felt bad <v Speaker 5>about that, and so many of you, like, you know, <v Speaker 5>you're really into it for for like maybe game to <v Speaker 5>yourself one, So maybe I have to, but like you know, <v Speaker 5>there's some other big RPGs happening with with Dragon Quest, <v Speaker 5>Dragon Age, all the Dragons metaphor, It's like, man, that's <v Speaker 5>that's a lot right there. I don't get through that <v Speaker 5>and then play another one hundred hour rpg before the <v Speaker 5>year ends. I just don't really see that happening. <v Speaker 3>It will see. I'm I'm excited and I'm curious about <v Speaker 3>all those games y'all just listed. And on top of that, <v Speaker 3>I might want to check out Dragon Ball, Sparking Zero Fun. <v Speaker 5>Yeah that like so many characters. What character do you <v Speaker 5>want to play as? Jen? <v Speaker 3>One of the Gokus? <v Speaker 5>Well, yeah, which one? Are you a super instinct or whatever? <v Speaker 3>I hate I kind of liked Dragon Ball Super for <v Speaker 3>a little bit, but then all the ultra instinct stuff, <v Speaker 3>It's like, guys, like, let's quit it. Let's quit it. <v Speaker 5>It is too there's I loved Z so much as <v Speaker 5>a kid that part of me is like, I should <v Speaker 5>just watch Super It would be kind of fun. <v Speaker 3>Have you seen just regular og dragon Ball? <v Speaker 5>Yeah, dragon Balls? <v Speaker 2>Oh yeah, I watched it after Z, but I watched <v Speaker 2>a lot of dragon Ball at the time, Like this <v Speaker 2>is funny. <v Speaker 3>I mean there's a lot of perferred stuff and I <v Speaker 3>thought that was funny and. <v Speaker 5>As much as many characters are on the game, but <v Speaker 5>there's only one Og dragon Ball character and it's kid Goku. <v Speaker 5>And it's like you don't even have like Demon King <v Speaker 5>Piccolo or I don't know, some Red Army Goofs or <v Speaker 5>or whatever in here. <v Speaker 3>And I gotta play Laura Line the Laser on shit. <v Speaker 3>Yeah yeah, yeah, I can't. I want to play a <v Speaker 3>bunch of older stuff too, Like it felt like I <v Speaker 3>felt guilty playing Midnight Suns when I could be playing <v Speaker 3>something else that's like. <v Speaker 2>New an upcover are either you're going to check out <v Speaker 2>Dead riseing De Luxe Remaster. <v Speaker 5>Absolutely, I think I want to wait till it's October <v Speaker 5>first over just like you know you could. <v Speaker 3>That'd be great one people would really like. <v Speaker 5>Yeah, there's a couple of Halloween things I want to do, <v Speaker 5>because there's that, we're doing the Residuabal three remake for <v Speaker 5>the game Club we have over the Game Mess, and <v Speaker 5>then I bought the Dreamcast version of Dino Crisis. I'm <v Speaker 5>may able to do that. Oh no, that's already like <v Speaker 5>three games of one months in top of like everything else. <v Speaker 5>That's kind of that's kind of a lot. We'll see. <v Speaker 5>But yeah, there's other Masters, Epic Mickey, see that. I <v Speaker 5>did beat Order of It Clazy last night. So I <v Speaker 5>am now pretty much done with the Dominance collection, which <v Speaker 5>was very very good, and like that a lot. <v Speaker 3>I think I may have to practice the most self <v Speaker 3>control I've ever had to practice and refrain from checking <v Speaker 3>out Bulatro and iOS. <v Speaker 5>Yeah that's big of you. <v Speaker 3>That's because it's it's going to end me. If this <v Speaker 3>sickness doesn't need that, this will uh yeah, too many <v Speaker 3>games every year. I feel I forget where I was <v Speaker 3>reading this recently, but of course he was on Twitter, <v Speaker 3>so it's like a ship storm take anyway, but someone <v Speaker 3>was saying like, there's such a bad year for games. <v Speaker 3>I'm like, motherfucker, No, he's listed the skill issue just. <v Speaker 5>Because last year was like the one of the best <v Speaker 5>years ever. This has still been very good. I have <v Speaker 5>never for a moment not had something to play. <v Speaker 3>Oh yeah, it's been nut yeah yeah, And like for <v Speaker 3>whatever flavor of gaming you like, there is something there, right. <v Speaker 5>But tell you if you're like, if you like jafferyges, <v Speaker 5>it has been especially good. <v Speaker 2>Eating out here baby good last thing I did fully <v Speaker 2>like go up to, Like, oh, I think Star Wars <v Speaker 2>Outlaws is like a solid four out of five actual <v Speaker 2>good game one. <v Speaker 5>That the other one. Damn it, I should play one that. <v Speaker 2>I'm like, I probably am going to start maybe thinking <v Speaker 2>I should recommend to people, like, yeah, you want to <v Speaker 2>get past the beginning. <v Speaker 3>Apparently they changed some stuff there. <v Speaker 2>But if you just take your time in there and <v Speaker 2>actually don't don't even feel like you need to uh <v Speaker 2>like play the story or like beat it, just go <v Speaker 2>actually in there and experience the world and hang out <v Speaker 2>and do fun stuff and like do whatever it's appealing <v Speaker 2>to you. That's what I've been doing, and they have <v Speaker 2>the atmosphere of the year. Maybe they nailed it. It <v Speaker 2>is the most Star Wars thing in all the best ways. <v Speaker 2>Last night really really clicked hard for me. <v Speaker 5>Best game world. <v Speaker 3>Maybe I don't know, maybe. <v Speaker 5>Not, Let's bring it back. <v Speaker 3>This is what I hate about Star Wars is that <v Speaker 3>like I'll initially be put off, and then like a month, <v Speaker 3>a couple of weeks after like the initial like shit <v Speaker 3>storm dies down, a friend, a trusted friend will say, <v Speaker 3>you know what, I actually like it a lot. And <v Speaker 3>that's every single Star Wars thing that's coming out. <v Speaker 1>Yeah. <v Speaker 5>That's the magic of Star Wars is like I think, <v Speaker 5>like I'm kind of like done with it, and then <v Speaker 5>as seems like I get a little taste of some <v Speaker 5>good Star Wars, it's like. <v Speaker 3>God, and like, okay, last last thing before we get <v Speaker 3>out of here. Another thing I'm mildly curious about because <v Speaker 3>I saw a kit and Chris to talking about this emo, <v Speaker 3>the Smiling Man. Yeah yeah, yeah, Like I know it's <v Speaker 3>like a visual novel joint, but like I could use <v Speaker 3>a little bagman. <v Speaker 5>That makes me think of like the Miles Edgeworth collection, <v Speaker 5>which I want to play that and I'm kind of <v Speaker 5>just AMEDI like maybe not happening this year actually, as <v Speaker 5>much as I want to put. <v Speaker 3>Oh boy, oh okay, Grub. I swear to God, folks, <v Speaker 3>this is the last last thing, and then we'll get <v Speaker 3>out of here so Grub can set up for you PF. <v Speaker 3>Because I'm gonna go hyping myself up. You need to rest, Grub. <v Speaker 3>You're gonna go on vacation suit. Yep. And I know that, <v Speaker 3>like uh, it leaves like a hole in the morning content, folks. <v Speaker 3>I'm gonna commit to it, Grub. When are you leaving? <v Speaker 2>It would be the week before Thanksgiving? Is so in November? <v Speaker 2>Like twenty four ish? I want to say twenty FOURTHI ish. <v Speaker 3>Okay, folks, that's gonna be fourteen week. It's gonna be <v Speaker 3>fancy fourteen yep, yep, yep. I'm still deciding whether or <v Speaker 3>not to go with my existing character just start fresh. <v Speaker 3>My existing character has an unfortunate name because of an <v Speaker 3>extra life incentive. It is Ligma Grundle. <v Speaker 5>Is it any girl? <v Speaker 3>Yes? It is, of course. <v Speaker 5>Stupid question. <v Speaker 3>So it's either we go with Ligma or we start <v Speaker 3>start fresh. A friendship or morning pretty attached to Ligma. <v Speaker 3>All right, well, I guess what's your job for Ligma? <v Speaker 3>I forget I think I wanted to be a dragoon <v Speaker 3>really bad or something. <v Speaker 5>Ah say, probably a lnswer right now until you get. <v Speaker 3>I think I have an answer. <v Speaker 5>I think I have a laser in the new gridon <v Speaker 5>ya okay Oka. <v Speaker 3>Yeah yeah, I forget where I am, so i'd have <v Speaker 3>to like re onboard myself and folks could try and <v Speaker 3>do it during the game this morning slot, so we <v Speaker 3>get at least like an hour two hours of fourteen <v Speaker 3>a day. I can't say I won't play off stream, <v Speaker 3>but we're we're gonna commit to it. That will be <v Speaker 3>fourteen week, and folks, get ready. Infrastructure Week is coming <v Speaker 3>for such a. <v Speaker 5>Week at the very end of the month, and you <v Speaker 5>get to dungeons. You gotta let me know hop in there. <v Speaker 3>Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, I'm not. I'm not. I'm gonna <v Speaker 3>let people like carry me the hell through this game. <v Speaker 3>I'm ready. <v Speaker 5>It'll be. It's fine. It's not a difficult, especially realm <v Speaker 5>we're born. That's it. Don't do anything else <v Speaker 3>with Christian, just say hi to him. Say to him. <v Speaker 3>Just say hi to him. He needs it. And you <v Speaker 3>know what, like go go go for a walk in <v Speaker 3>the park. Go, go for a walk in the park. <v Speaker 3>Go stare.
