The Woman Who Literally Climbed Mountains to Find Inner Strength

Women Road Warriors

Lisa Thompson is the second American woman to climb the K2 summit. That is a mountain considered the most dangerous in the world. Lisa climbed to the top of Mt. Everest just two months after completing breast cancer treatment. Nothing stands in Lisa’s way. She entered the male-dominated world of high-altitude mountaineering to show she had as much endurance as any man. In 2017, she was featured in Capturing Everest, the Emmy-winning documentary produced by Sports Illustrated. Lisa is the author of a new book called Finding Elevation. This inspirational read will give every woman the courage to literally climb mountains and overcome any obstacle life hands us. Tune into this episode of Women Road Warriors with Shelley Johnson and Kathy Tuccaro when we speak with Lisa. Be sure to subscribe to our podcast. It’s free.
