<v Speaker 3>all the Neca stuff. And then I've got a Marvel
<v Speaker 3>Legends and a Batman's shelf. I've got Bowen Marvel design
<v Speaker 3>and I'm looking like you guys can see it. Uh,
<v Speaker 3>But I basically what I've done is like buy all
<v Speaker 3>the stuff that I wanted as a kid when I
<v Speaker 3>go to the comic book store with my dad, and
<v Speaker 3>I am a kid, so I don't have money besides
<v Speaker 3>like five bucks or whatever. So uh now as an adult,
<v Speaker 3>I just buy all the things that I wanted as
<v Speaker 3>a kid, and and and then stuff that I see
<v Speaker 3>now that's way better.
<v Speaker 5>Right modern and vintage then.
<v Speaker 3>Yeah, I like the vintage stuff to me is more fun.
<v Speaker 3>Like the modern stuff is kind of just like you
<v Speaker 3>bord a big bad toy store whatever. You just load
<v Speaker 3>up your cart and you just put it under the
<v Speaker 3>order because it's easy that way, or ringside or whatever
<v Speaker 3>for wrestling. Uh. But yeah, like that's why I like
<v Speaker 3>to go to the toy stores still, is because you
<v Speaker 3>get to find all the old stuff. Like I've been
<v Speaker 3>having fun collecting the Bowen statues, which are like the
<v Speaker 3>little like Marvel bus I don't know if you've ever
<v Speaker 3>seen them in the stores of like in gray boxes,
<v Speaker 3>but that's what I had Cardona bring back. Yeah, they're
<v Speaker 3>from like late nineteen nineties, early two thousands, Okay, but
<v Speaker 3>I'd found like a super rare set in Australia at Lobos.
<v Speaker 3>So Matt had to bring it back for me because
<v Speaker 3>I'd go to the gym. But it's like he did
<v Speaker 3>me a favor.
<v Speaker 5>Oh yeah, I really, you know, I really didn't have
<v Speaker 5>anything else to do.
<v Speaker 4>I was just going back to the hotel anyway because.
<v Speaker 3>I was gonna not I was like, I was like, ah,
<v Speaker 3>I can't buy anything because I don't want to carry
<v Speaker 3>around the statue in the gym. But it was like
<v Speaker 3>one of those one of those sets where I've only
<v Speaker 3>seen an eBay once and it's been sitting there for
<v Speaker 3>like way more money than I paid for it in Australia,
<v Speaker 3>so it's like rare uh, And I was like I
<v Speaker 3>have to get it. So I had been lugging that
<v Speaker 3>around with me for the last twelve days through Australia
<v Speaker 3>to Detroit and then through astronomic on and everything.
<v Speaker 5>Holy crap, geez.
<v Speaker 3>Yeah. So it's been taking up a big chunk of
<v Speaker 3>my suitcase, which is annoying.
<v Speaker 5>Matt uh Mark and I were just talking about this
<v Speaker 5>weekend and of vlog like it's funny, like vintage stuff
<v Speaker 5>like you just gotta collect because like it makes you
<v Speaker 5>feel good and you feel like it again. But then
<v Speaker 5>modern stuff is so good you can miss out on it.
<v Speaker 5>Like you're like, you're not gonna not collect that either,
<v Speaker 5>because it's like, you know, the best toys ever made.
<v Speaker 3>Yeah, exactly. That's why I like. I like all the
<v Speaker 3>old uh the old like Universal Monsters stuff, because it's
<v Speaker 3>like it's just cool looking. But then Neka has those
<v Speaker 3>realistic ones that are out there, and then it's the
<v Speaker 3>thing of where I'm just buying the color ones, the
<v Speaker 3>black and white ones, and I go, I don't need
<v Speaker 3>all of this, probably.
<v Speaker 5>But oh man, that could get time you get the
<v Speaker 5>Ninja Turtle Monsters. Uh no.
<v Speaker 3>So they sent me those, but I was like, I
<v Speaker 3>don't need those because they're not even the old ones.
<v Speaker 3>They're not remakes of like the old ones. They're like
<v Speaker 3>new versions, so like they're cool. But if they were
<v Speaker 3>remakes of the original like Dracula, Donatello and all that,
<v Speaker 3>I would have kept them. But I was like, because
<v Speaker 3>they're like made up ones, I was like, I don't
<v Speaker 3>need those.
<v Speaker 5>They're like fit I got.
<v Speaker 4>I think I got the first Rafael when I think
<v Speaker 4>he's like Frankenstein.
<v Speaker 5>Yeah, yeah, like this is really cool. But I can't
<v Speaker 5>go down this rabbit.
<v Speaker 3>Yeah, I actually I have them sitting because I, like
<v Speaker 3>you said, I find they're sitting right next to me. Actually, uh,
<v Speaker 3>I have like boxes and boxes of just stuff. Un
<v Speaker 3>I don't need this collection. So I'm going to try
<v Speaker 3>to find one of our friends who owns a toy
<v Speaker 3>store and just be like, please, just take all of
<v Speaker 3>this stuff I have. My basement was full of boxes,
<v Speaker 3>and around Christmas time I opened everything. I just put
<v Speaker 3>them in tots. And now I'm finally getting to where
<v Speaker 3>it's getting set up.
<v Speaker 5>But what's the endgame like for this room?
<v Speaker 3>Like, uh, so I have two more shelves I want
<v Speaker 3>to put up my stuff, and like a friend's in
<v Speaker 3>whatever shelf too, I have a blank wall across from me.
<v Speaker 3>I've got everything else is pretty much filled up. I've
<v Speaker 3>got the Mondo What are they won with the big guys? Well,
<v Speaker 3>I don't know what it is that one fourth? Oh no,
<v Speaker 3>they're not one fourth. I forget that's naka. I've got
<v Speaker 3>the neca ones and all that too, But those take
<v Speaker 3>up a bunch of space. I've got a bunch of
<v Speaker 3>life size statues. I saw that Aliens one right, Yeah,
<v Speaker 3>I have to figure that out because we've got the
<v Speaker 3>boy coming now, and I decided I don't really use
<v Speaker 3>my office. I'm just gonna use the downstairs as my
<v Speaker 3>thing for stuff like this. So I'm just gonna move
<v Speaker 3>him into my office because it has like Marvel cosmic
<v Speaker 3>walls and stuff like that already. But it's got the
<v Speaker 3>giant alien in it. I have to figure out how
<v Speaker 3>to get that because again I paid a contractor to
<v Speaker 3>put it together, because I don't know how sure that
<v Speaker 3>he was in my house. So I have to figure
<v Speaker 3>out how to deconstruct that and get that into the basement.
<v Speaker 3>But I've got like the life size alien egg from Mecca.
<v Speaker 3>I've got two life size alien like bust on a
<v Speaker 3>movie theater, like, I've got my projectors, screen and everything.
<v Speaker 3>So I've got so.
<v Speaker 2>You want to turn this into a theater?
<v Speaker 3>Yeah, yeah, yeah, that's what Right now it's set up.
<v Speaker 3>I've got the four theater recliners.
<v Speaker 5>Oh yeah, that was my next question was we gotta
<v Speaker 5>have something comfy then.
<v Speaker 3>Yeah, I've got the four theater recliners. I've got the walls.
<v Speaker 3>Like at the end of this, I can do a
<v Speaker 3>quick walk through if that works for YouTube. I don't know, U.
<v Speaker 3>It's a mess, but you'll be able to at least
<v Speaker 3>kind of see like the idea of it, because it's
<v Speaker 3>my gym is down here. I've got a drum set
<v Speaker 3>down here. I've got wallpaper with like Noasparatu and Creature
<v Speaker 3>and Frankens all the universal monsters around my walls and stuff.
<v Speaker 3>And then I have to figure out a space for
<v Speaker 3>all the artwork that I've collected over the years of
<v Speaker 3>just like alex Ross Prince and things like that.
<v Speaker 5>So and then you were so settled on this place.
<v Speaker 5>I thought you were like living there temporary.
<v Speaker 3>No, no, no, this is my house. I was like, So,
<v Speaker 3>I'm from Michigan. I lived in Montreal for two years
<v Speaker 3>when COVID started, so I could be stuck with my
<v Speaker 3>wife and my stepdaughter. And then that obviously ended, and
<v Speaker 3>then we wound up buying a house sort of nearby,
<v Speaker 3>and this has just been our house. And we had
<v Speaker 3>it like completely redone because it was like very nineties.
<v Speaker 3>It was fine, but it was like a nice base
<v Speaker 3>with like a finished basement and everything, and we have
<v Speaker 3>a pool in the backyard now and all that. So, yeah,
<v Speaker 3>that's trying to make it because we're on the road
<v Speaker 3>so much. When I'm home, I want it to be
<v Speaker 3>like I don't like leaving home. When I'm home, I
<v Speaker 3>want to have fun being here and just want to
<v Speaker 3>be here with my dogs and my wife and my kid.
<v Speaker 5>And that's in Vermont.
<v Speaker 3>It's right over there. I've lied to people about where
<v Speaker 3>I live, so I don't I don't live in Vermont,
<v Speaker 3>So that's okay either way.
<v Speaker 2>So what what started you? You know you said you
<v Speaker 2>got toys when you were little. What started you like collecting,
<v Speaker 2>like officially.
<v Speaker 3>Collected Because my dad the.
<v Speaker 2>Entire time known you, you've been doing it.
<v Speaker 3>So yeah, my dad's a comic book hard guy. So
<v Speaker 3>like I used to go to the comic book store
<v Speaker 3>when I was like five, like uh and just you know,
<v Speaker 3>pay He did let me pick out books and stuff
<v Speaker 3>like that. Like I think I liked Morbius, which makes sense,
<v Speaker 3>I guess, considering my characters. Yeah, just like I liked
<v Speaker 3>all the hard looking guys like Vanam and Morbius and
<v Speaker 3>obviously just Spider Man and Batman and stuff. But I
<v Speaker 3>think I would pick up those toy biz Marvel toys
<v Speaker 3>like the the Everything toys with like the Doctor Doom
<v Speaker 3>and all that, and my dad had left over like
<v Speaker 3>Star Wars, the original Tenner ones. I had all my
<v Speaker 3>dads left over g I Joe's, so I'd mixed those
<v Speaker 3>and everything. And then one year, I think what really
<v Speaker 3>kicked it off, like with the wrestling to really relate
<v Speaker 3>it to that is, uh, he got me the Giant
<v Speaker 3>Rows war Ring and I think I had Brett Sean,
<v Speaker 3>uh maybe who was in that first set or the
<v Speaker 3>first gold Dust I had gold dust. I for sure
<v Speaker 3>had gold dust because I remember taking his wig and
<v Speaker 3>putting it on other figures for some reason that But
<v Speaker 3>then I just remember that that one Christmas, I think
<v Speaker 3>it was like nineteen ninety seven, but he had got
<v Speaker 3>me like a Daredevil toy from Toy Biz And then
<v Speaker 3>maybe I don't know if WCW had toys out, but
<v Speaker 3>I know those came shortly after at.
<v Speaker 5>Least round then probably the vibrating ones which were weird.
<v Speaker 3>Yeah, I feel like maybe I had a sting, but
<v Speaker 3>I don't even know if I had one of those.
<v Speaker 3>I just remember eventually the toy Biz ones came out
<v Speaker 3>and had Raven for sure, and I had those weird
<v Speaker 3>magnetic ones Ugan, But yeah, no, that that first Christmas
<v Speaker 3>was probably it because it was the mix of everything,
<v Speaker 3>but that wrestling ring was the first one. I think
<v Speaker 3>I just started watching and he's like, oh, I found
<v Speaker 3>these toys. I thought you would like him, and then
<v Speaker 3>then it was just over like he would do. He
<v Speaker 3>made me a custom cane before Caine had a toy. Yeah,
<v Speaker 3>Caine was my favorite. So I think he took a
<v Speaker 3>I'm blanking on what it's called the you guys have
<v Speaker 3>the it's like the Army Ones. Yes, uh, I think
<v Speaker 3>it was Stomp Undertaker maybe, but he made a cane
<v Speaker 3>out of that. So like he did customs for me,
<v Speaker 3>He made custom bases for me out of a like
<v Speaker 3>wood and foam and stuff like that for like Justice League,
<v Speaker 3>Like I had hold Justice League base. I think I
<v Speaker 3>had old Marble base for something. So he was NonStop.
<v Speaker 3>He would hang my Millennium falcons from the ceiling and
<v Speaker 3>stuff like that. Uh So yeah, it's definitely like my
<v Speaker 3>dad set me up on collecting because he still collects.
<v Speaker 3>His basement is full of Horror Batman. All of my
<v Speaker 3>stuff he collects, I give him all. Yeah, he collects
<v Speaker 3>all of my stuff, and I also give him because
<v Speaker 3>I don't like to throw it away, like fan art
<v Speaker 3>stuff like fan customs where I'm like, I don't have
<v Speaker 3>room for it, but he'll put him on the wall
<v Speaker 3>and everything. Yeah, he collects all of that stuff.
<v Speaker 5>You don't collect wrestling right now, right.
<v Speaker 3>No, No, you guys ruined that good. I do now. Yeah,
<v Speaker 3>but I've tried keeping it. I kind of way less
<v Speaker 3>than what you guys do. But I don't do the
<v Speaker 3>modern guys unless I know them, Like if they're my friends,
<v Speaker 3>I buy them. But if it's uh other than I
<v Speaker 3>kind of keep it to like eighties and nineties and
<v Speaker 3>maybe a couple like I've got a John Cena from
<v Speaker 3>early two thousands or whatever, like one of the Ultimates.

<v Speaker 3>I mean. Uh So I've got those. I got like Vader,
<v Speaker 3>I've got Paul Bart, I've got Bam Bam. I've been
<v Speaker 3>doing the Coliseum collection stuff. And then I've got like
<v Speaker 3>I said, I've got Seena, I've got Austin the Ultimates.
<v Speaker 3>I just got Dusty, and I got the Mankind and
<v Speaker 3>dude Love.
<v Speaker 5>Oh yeah, let those breathe and pose them.
<v Speaker 3>Yeah, I pretty much open everything.

<v Speaker 5>Issue with m at one point. Yeah, I was when
<v Speaker 5>I had like twelve dovesigular elites, and I'm like, what

<v Speaker 3>But then like Brody has a bunch of cool ones,
<v Speaker 3>so like I do have like a bunch of Brodie's.
<v Speaker 3>He's got like the bloody ones, He's got the ski
<v Speaker 3>mask one. I think he still has the best chase
<v Speaker 3>for the aw figures because he is one of the
<v Speaker 3>only ones that's actually kind of a different figure.
<v Speaker 5>Yeah. Man, they put the making the chase like very different.
<v Speaker 5>It's so cool. And then when you it's like, yeah,
<v Speaker 5>that's what I was.
<v Speaker 3>I was excited when they showed me mine, but then
<v Speaker 3>they put out the hook two pack and it was
<v Speaker 3>the same figure because it was Nah, it's like very
<v Speaker 3>slightly different. I think the tights are different, and I
<v Speaker 3>think the cape is a soft goods versus hard goods,
<v Speaker 3>so it is different, but it's the same basic look
<v Speaker 3>like and but aside from that, it would have been
<v Speaker 3>backstage look with the sweater thing versus like full gear,
<v Speaker 3>and it would have been totally different.
<v Speaker 5>Right, that's that's complete overhaul.
