00:00:02 Speaker 1: What's up, Bachelor Happy Hour. It's so good to be back with you all again this week, and I know Michelle and I are both so excited to be here for another episode because we have a very fun one plan for you today. Yeah, so we're so excited. We've been talking about this for a little bit now. I've had to keep a secret, but I'm really really happy that we don't have to keep that secret anymore. It's finely here. We have our wine ready. I hope you all do too, because very soon we're bringing on our guests to get the party started. And yes, you heard that right, I said guests as in plural, because the first one we're going to be bringing on, well, we'll come on together, but the first one, drumroll please. He comes in at a whopping six six. He has the best damn smile that I'm looking at right now, and he is the honestly the best hype man for the Bachelor franchise for us. Michelle and my favorite person I just love to love, which of course is Thomas WHOA. I feel like we need a round about thoughts. And our second guess is a sixth eighth man that everybody knows is always the tallest man in the room, a good looking man at that. But he's a sweetheart. He was a walking red flag according to everybody else, but he is here. He has burned himself wrong. And we're gonna have Nate on. But before we bring the guys on, Becca, I feel like we have a lot of catching up to do, because last time we spoke, you were at the tail end of Bachelor Live on stage. Now you're finally home and you have some new announcements coming. I do yes, and I like you said, I'm finally home. It feels incredible. It was very bittersweet. The last show was so sad, but just so happy that we were able to complete the full tour this time around, because obviously COVID shut it down. So I've been home a couple of days. I did not leave the bed and the couch for the first day, I was horizontal for twenty four hours and it was wonderful. And since then right back at it. We've been busy. My sparkling Wineline boardone just launched our new rose which I am drinking today. I said, I hope everyone has their wine or their cocktails ready, because it's gonna be a fun episode. Cheers Michelle cheers starts up. Well, cheers with the mend too once they get in. But we need cheers with the girls first. But okay, wait, who's more excited that your home? Thomas or minnow? Oh, minnow, of course a minnow. No, Thomas was excited too. He came to the last show. Oh, he's facetiming with Nate, right, you go shave my mustache to Nash real quick. No, apparently they're facetiming right now. I guess Nate has a mustache. Thomas needs to go shave his stash to match Nates. Oh no, I thought, Oh I got excited for a second because I thought that Nate was shaving his mustache before he came on, because he was maybe, you know, getting rid of it. Oh no, I think it's still there, and I think it's better. And now he's he's brought Thomas on board. Oh no, oh, n it is a bad influence. Oh my gosh, he is a red flag you Okay, before the guys come on, hopefully clean shaven and looking fine, What is up with you? What have you been up to? Oh my gosh, I feel like this past week has been the first week where I truly started to get into a routine because I've been traveling so much, whether it's to New York, La Nate, and I was we're able to make that trip to Canada, So I finally have been home long enough where I've been able to get into a routine good um, and so it's been really really nice. I mean, and the sun's out. It's just it's it's been a feel good week. So I love that. That's so good to hear. I love that too. You say that you're finally getting into routine because what in three weeks, it's going to be summer break for you, right, yes, which which I am so excited for. I'm so excited for, except for I'm a little nervous because typically after the school year, my body completely crashes because that end of the school your push is just so stressful, and adding everything going on now in my other part of my life, it's I feel like I'm quite to like go into a coma for a solid week. You deserve it. I really haven't slowed down for like a year and a half, and so now my body is going to be like okay, Michelle, yeah exactly. So I'm like what a wild ride? Did you ever expect getting into last summer, Like how different your life would be come this time around. No, I don't even think I could have imagined that I'd be sitting here. I mean, I was just trying to enjoy the ride. But yeah, I don't know if I could have foreshadowed all of this and this would have happened to me. You got, you fell in love, you got engaged after dating thirty plus men, you went back to work, you had Pressed two or after Press two or for your season. Now you're potentially looking to move in with your fiance, going through another school year, starting a podcast with me, Like, you've done it so much, so crazy, But it's I've been you know, I've been excited to be able to wind down a little bit and just you know, enjoy some things that I want to enjoy. So yeah, yeah, do you win, Nate? Like, I think I've asked you this before, but maybe it's changed now that summer's coming around and you have time to actually plan. Yeah, have you guys talked more about moving in together? Like where that's going to be? Or win? Like now you have three months off, is it going to be soon? Yeah? I feel like that's the burning question that you know, any time I do a Q and I online, I was like, why aren't you moved in yet? Are you moving in together? And really it's just that we're trying to figure out where we want to be in, what location we want to be with and or be at, and it's it's just a constant, ongoing conversation and kind of depends, you know, what is next year going to look like? For me? Am I going to be in the classroom? Am I going to try to do something outside the classroom? And then him right now he's working remotely, but they might be going back into the office, and so we're kind of just taking both of our positions into consideration. And then once the school year is done, I think that's I'm going to have a better idea of, you know, where I'm going to be and then he you know, we're gonna kind of cater to that. Figure it out together, Yeah, figure it out together. I am looking outside in San Diego and it's about seventy two. It's perfectly studying that a cloud in the sky. Yes, but you said you're moving to New York, like you said you might in New York but when I say that, I mean you could get there and then you'd be like when I say when I say in New York, I mean like four three months, Like we're not moving temporarily to spend like it's gonna be a super long vacation. Yeah, like we would do a quarter, like a quarter and and like this is home base and once we have Thomas song, we'll talk about it more. But like he's already started looking for houses here, so like we will be in San Diego. We're just gonna do New York for a couple months. Okay, got it. It's not like the Joe and Serena where we're going to sign a lease for a year plus and move everything. It's gonna be basically like to say, amount of time that I was gone on tour would be us in New York. That would be fun. Yeah, honestly, that would be so fun. And then after that three months, would you come back San Diego or would you try to choose like a different place. I think we would do San Diego. Um, yeah, there's nowhere else. Like I mean, we love New York and we want to spend time there, but San Diego is home now and we love it. Thomas's family is here, so we would definitely come back here. And that's not to say we wouldn't one day be like, oh, let's go here for a month or two and work remotely, because we have luxury of being able to do that, which is really nice. So yeah, we'll see. But San Diego will always be home. I say that now. I still have my place in La But right, I just just about to ask you about that. But going back to my question about you and Nate and kind of plans, I mean, it will all unfold as it shouldn't. I can't wait to fall along. I know you have so many supporters that are so excited for you whenever your place and time comes. So but again, san Diego, just sing in Rodney's down here too, and I know that would make me happy. Yes, but I wouldn't see him you wanted to see. You want to see na or Rodney. You wouldn't see either of them because they'd be together. I wouldn't see either, or I would just never see me alone, you know, Yeah, I mean you would date both of them. No, I love Rodney. Ego needs to get a place that has an extra bedroom or like a du guesthouse in the back that that Rodney can live in like those Shoot, no, there's actually things that my mom was talking about these before. It's like a grandma it's called like a grandma pod or something a grandpa pod, like grandparent pod. And it's these small little houses that people put in their backyards for their parents to come live in once they start getting older. Oh yeah, granny flats. Yeah, granny flats exactly, So like that would be it. Or the situation where the boys would have bunk beds. Can you imagine step brothers with love beds? Your life is going to be so interested wherever you like. Oh god, I really might need to rethink this moving to San Diego possibility. I don't know if just move close because then you and I can hang out and be together. Okay, that's all of the guys can do their own thing. But I will say Thomas and I are looking at a house this week that does also have a granny flat that, um, you know, if you ever need a place to stay to get away from those two you kids, don't tell them that I get the house, they can go to the granny flots, have a granny flat together. Thomas will be there with them too, because they'll let Fomo if he's not allowed with the guys. The facts. He's just looking at me like you're looking at me like I'm wrong, but I'm right. It's so great, he said, it sounds nice. That's great. So I guess, what do you say? Should we bring the boys on? I think it's side. We're talking about them far too much to not have them be part of this right we want to do behind their back, just in front of their faith, our first gentleman of happy hour. Look at that dash. I know, I thought, Tomas, you're gonna show with the mustache. I went, I looked and it was too white. But I gotta say, Nate, I respect the fact that you probably just said that joke. They're like, wait a second, this is kind of fire. We're just gonna you know, like I grew on me like. It's probably like a minute of like what did I just do? And then minute too I was like, it's here to stay. Michelle, what was your first reaction? My My response was, what did you do? Is that here to stay? Like? I just basically repeated everything Nate said, but in a different job. Um, But I mean, I feel like did you. I don't think you did it as a joke. I think you legit. We're like, I'm gonna give myself a mustache. Oh no, because I told I told you. I was like, yeah, I think I'm gonna cut off my beard. And then you're like, no, no, do it. I was like, I'm not gonna cut it all the way off, just like a little bit. So at first I kept the gotee and just the mustache. I was like, I look wild. So I took off the goatee and just kept a mustache. I was like, all right, you know what, this this might have to be it. This might have to be it. Let's start us off right. Cheers to everyone, Cheers to the first gentleman of Bachelor Happy Hour. Oh I think that's us, Nate. We are He's all over Now. We need Leo here too, but a fellas, I'm so excited we finally have you. We've been wanting to do this little double date set up for a while, so I'm glad you could both join us. Such a sweetheart, Hi, sweetie, does he have a boat tie on? No, that's just his hair. Oh my gosh, he looks so properly. It's like, no, you just naturally naturally distinguished. We need we need to get all the dogs together for a play date. Oh well, well when you guys moved to San Diego will be super Yeah that's what Beck. Then I were just talking about before you guys jumped on, because you were talking about how you potentially might move to New York for like, not move, but spend a few months in New York. Um, and then you know, look looking at something some things I cannot talk either today, Becca looking he at some things in San Diego as well. That's already in the works, I mean being submitted this week, so we'll see. Oh it's like really in the works. Oh yeah, like it's already finance already checked out. We already have everything planned out. If we submit, I'll sell my this proper that we're in right now, and that will fund the down payment anything else. Then, I don't think we're that far along. He's making it seem like it's all all good, and I don't think we're quite there yet. Oh we're there. Plan is he Is he the planner in your relationship? Would you say? No, who's the planner? We both are in different ways, Like I'm more of the one to plan little things like dinners, get together stuff like that. He's the bigger picture guy of like house hunting, business oriented things. Right, I would say, I'm the very enthused one, and I get excited over just a lot of big picture ideas. So I think she said that perfectly. Yes, but also that's funny. We're not quite there yet. Um, but I want to catch up with you too, really quick, because Michelle, before we had the guys come on, you obviously talked a little bit about how you both were just in Canada. So, Nate, how was that being back there? It was great. I mean, it's always wanted to be with family, right, so it was fun. It was fun. I got to uh, what did we do? I work the entire time, so I didn't. I don't know. I was just a round family. I don't know if you really did much. We got your dad on the VR headset. Oh right, right, right, right right. The world needs to see that. By the way, what did you think? My Dad's just hilarious. He had a ball. Your family still love Michelle? Oh yeah, oh yeah, even if they didn't, I don't know if he would say that right now. It's fun, It's like it's like my dad loves Michelle more than anybody else in the family at this point, and it's kind of like we all look at my dad like yo, like you just met her, like I'm your son, you know, like your honor over here like the future daughter in law. Though no, no, I'm talking about like like my sister. I know my sister feels the same way. She's like you know what, like Dad, like I'm right here, like Michelle just came in for a picture, like what's up? Like how do the feeling is that? Though? Like the fact of the matter is the woman that you love, who you brought home, Like she's so dearly held in eyes of your family, Like how good does that feel? She has my whole family wrapped around her finger. And I spent twenty seven years trying to get my dad to I'm too personal. Now my dad is obsessed with Michelle. So it is cute. Do we need to have a little therapy session? Do you need to hug? I feel like I wanted my dad to love me the way that he loves you. But listen, n I can attest to that because I where I think my mom loves this guy more than me. And she's like, she's upsassed with Thomas. She I think probably texts him more than she texts me. It's precious, but it does feel good knowing that your family loves and embraces somebody so much. Yeah. No, Like I'll call my dad. I'm like hey, like like, how are you doing? I'm good? How's Michelle? You know, it's just like the first question. You know, he doesn't ask me actually because I ask him how are you doing? He's like, I'm good, how's Michelle. It's like usually you're supposed to ask me, like how are you doing? But like, Michelle's great. I'm also fine too. You were wondering, No Canada. Canada was a lot of fun though, And I mean Nate and I have spoke about this before, just loving different parts of different families, and you know, Nate's family he grew up with not talking about like a lot of emotions or whatever, and so the show was a whole new world and has still been a whole new world. But it's been pretty fun to see his dad just like come to life and go on this like VR headset. We threw him on a roller coaster. He we should just Nate tell me when I have the green light to share that video because it is hilarious. He had the time of his life. I mean, he took it like a champ. It was like, was it the Jurassic Park one. I don't know which one it was, but it was it was it was It was a scary roller coaster and he did really well. So yeah, my stepfam texting me like the day I left. He was like, yeah, your dad wants to buy a VR headset on the roller coaster Christmas present? Christmas present, Baby, You're throwing a VR on his head and having dinosaurs pop up, no wonder. He's asking how Michelle's do and he's like, I'm not forgiving NT for this Traumatized I will say, though I have. I don't even think Nate knows this, but I have in a whole album that is titled Nate VR because amount of times that this guy throws on the headset. It is comic cult because there's like six eight men with these massive glasses and he's screaming and he's just having like the time of his life. How could you not be happy? Like I just sit there and just smile and also hope that my TV or my walls or my ceilings don't get scuffed up because this work? Have you never had one? I get stuck in the metaverse. I am stuck there. It's like unhealthy. Man. I'm talking to strangers like I've never been again the strangers great conversations. Wait, this is like what's the movie where the guy falls in love with the like recording her it's called her. Yes, this is gonna be Nate very soon until it ends up like x Mochia and all of a sudden, we're like, what is going on? I get stuck in the metaverse, Like are you saying you transcended like this human existence now you just belong to the metaverse? It's yeah, yeah, I think that just answered the question where a Michelle and Nate moving. They're moving straight to the metaverse. The metaverse sound really weird. Since you guys, like, since you guys like haven't like looked into the metaverse and all that. But I'm looking at buying buying real estate right now in the metaverse, Like, yes, what are your thoughts about Michelle? I saw those eyes go up. That's I'm laughing. That's where our that's where our gift from the franchise is going. That's where not a real house, but the house for the Metaverse. Have fun. Oh it really is kind of great. I'm not going to get into right now, but offline, like if you guys are interested, it is insane. Oh my god, I can't wait for legal reasons. This as a joke. Please know when you're in San Diego, please bring the headset, Please bring that. No, I don't want Thomas to start it. I don't want him to get hugged. No, you will get hugged, corrupt me. He met far from him. It's just me the dogs on the couch, chilling. And then we're just watching him and we're ready to like adjust because he does swing quite a bit when he especially when he's in the Matrix version and so right now, but when when she logs onto the Metaverse, Oh she is, she's she's connected. No, no, it truly, it truly is fun. It's just more that I when Nate has the beer headset on, he gets so into the game that he kind of ignores his surroundings. And so I can name a solid four people who have already been clocked by Nate. Poll outright, her clocked and connected. So me and the dogs just sit there wide eyed, like ready to move in dodge at anytime. You know, do you guys give yourself time limits of the like of how long you can go on for? Does time exists in the metaverse? Do I give him time limits? I feel like I need to give him something? Yeah? No, truly, it's like here, you could have thirty seven minutes today, or you did your chores, you can have an extra forty five. How are we in there for? Well, I mean there's something called called a fiance real life. Maybe I'm really solving it, but like friends, you know, like I'm in there for like, you know, thirty minutes at a time. It's just exact vein though, Michelle, you've experienced it yourself. Do you see like future application for this translating to the classroom yourself as a teacher. I'm sure there's gonna be usage of this. I've actually already brought it into the classroom last year, where there are these VR headsets that these kids can go into this kind of situation and they're at a museum or they're traveling different spots in the world, and so we um. At one of my other schools, we had something called Festival of Learning, and so they were able to go into this VR headset and go, you know, to the tropics and learn about all these different things. And so, yeah, it has been brought in, but it's something that's still super new. Um, but I think it would be super powerful. The future of VR is actually like like we're I'm making fun of it because it is kind of like a joke, but like the future of VR, I can see it being like pretty intense. And here's this millennial over here who grew up watching the Disney Channel and love Smarthouse as a child, and now we're talking about this shit. It's wild. All I know is Wally is one of my all time favorite like New Age animated films, Like it made me cry like that strong. I'm just afraid we're gonna end up like that. And all of a sudden, we just trash everything. We can't walk. Earth is just a desolate wasteland. Seriously, look, and now we're getting dark. That's some power. We have talked about VR and the metaverse for far too long. I think we just got sucked in the metaverse, Like we did get stuck, You really get stuck. Our listeners are gonna be like move on to listen to Happy Hour and to get the dirty details of you couples and not listen to VR. Welcome to Detect run Keys with your host Becca Kufin and Michelle. You hung half when we bring the boys on mustache and VR headset. Hey, we're not getting back. Maybe give it a couple of months, give it a few months. Um, I don't know, but we actually do have a list of fun questions that we do want to ask you guys that I'm sure our listeners are dying to know. So I'm going to kick it off first Michelle. I'll just ask him a question. And this is for both of you guys, So Nate you can answer first, and then Thomas can go, Um, but what is the what do you think is the most romantic thing that Michelle has done for you? Oh? Okay, so um, let me go get it. I have no idea what this is Oculus headset on? Oh I do, okay, now I do come this jar and each jar is a reason why she loves me. Oh I love that is that once you're right there, Nate, that you want to have new experiences in life. Oh that's romantic, you know, it's pretty more romantic. So yeah, when did you make him that, Michelle? Um, that was when we were still like at our happy couple weekends and we're you know, back when she like really liked me, before the VR headset became a reality, back before he kissed me off. No, No, it was just it was just something where I'm not necessarily always good about talking about my emotions or verbally, you know, speaking about them, and so I was like, I do have all these things that I really like about this person, and so let me write them down. And so I actually would write them down when they come to my mind, and then once I had a decent amount, then I put them on like those pieces of paper, into a jar so that I can give them to him. I love that. Did you go through all of them right away, Nate? Or do you just take them out one by one whenever the mood strikes you? No, I dumped out the jar was like ego, Bruce, Yes, Nate, attack that jar like the attacks a bag of candy. He just dumped it on first cent. It's like it would have been super romantic, like he could read one every single day until the time we were going to see each other again. But he was just like my laughing and like talking like keep it coming, keep it coming, either way. I love either way. Um, Okay, Thomas, do you want to answer it? Yeah, I'm nervous. I would say the most romantic loving thing that Becca has done for me isn't necessarily like one particular grand gesture. You're just really good at just checking in on a day to day basis and just making sure that I feel loved, whether it's just little things like what can I get you? Do you need this? Oh? I would love to cook dinner to night. Oh no, don't worry about I'm gonna take care of that. Like for me being take knowing that you're going out of your way to check in on me and make sure I'm taking care of That's the most loving thing that you do in my eyes. All this is so sorry, Nate. I can kiss you through the screen. I guess I could lean forward and plant one on the camera when that remix. Okay, all right, Becca, I have a question for you about Thomas. Yes, how do you think you have influenced each other? Like being around Thomas? How has he influenced you? Oh? God, how has Thomas influenced me? Like? What's rubbed off? Um, he well, I can be a monster, and so he has truly made me at times take steps steps back to be and it is a work in progress. So I have not mastered this yet, I will say that, but to be more patient and to be I think especially just to be more grateful and appreciative of the things we have in life, because we are very lucky to be blessed with such an incredible life, and sometimes especially I think, like getting wrapped up in the show and the like the Bachelor World, where especially when you're filming and you have this whole season about you and everyone's kind of catering to you, it's easy to lose sight of that or to take things for granted. And so he has really made me step back and appreciate the little things and to be more cognizant and aware and vocal about that. Again, it's the work in progress. I don't always the fact that you just acknowledge that, because right when the questions asked, the first two things that popped in my mind was I hope like gratitude and patience, And I mean that speaks volumes that you went there too. Oh, I'm very, very just take it away. I'm very impatient, so um and Thomas is very slow sometimes I love you, but progress every day. I just like to enjoy the most out of every moment in life. Some people call it slow. I call it perspective. What you Thomas, You you're very much like a stop and smell the roses kind of person. You live in the moment for sure, absolutely sure is Yeah. What about Nate, Nate? What do you have to say? Um? But no, I guess Michelle. Let me start with you first, what has how has Nate influenced you? And then I want to have Nate answer that same question. Write down what you think she's going to say, and then hold it up. This is actually good idea. Do you have any idea what I want to say? Um? No, not at all. I would say that I think what Nate really helps me do is just it is easy to like, there's so many just different things that are going on at one time, whether it's you know, being emotionally attached to work, being emotional about just every other thing that is going on in my life. And I think what Nate does is like in those moments where I'm feeling anxious or I'm really struggling with that. He's able to even just today we had a situation where it's he's helps me take a step back and look at it realistically of like this isn't something that we need to spend energy on or you know, he is a very realistic, honest person. And I think for me, sometimes I can be really positive, but then that's like ignoring an issue at times, and so he really does help me and challenge me to actually like push and actually talk about that issue and be real about it. And so I think, like you said, Becca, it's not how I'm worried that, it's not how I'm wired necessarily, but he it's it's a way that has really helped me a lot. Yeah, I love that. How would you say Michelle's influence you? Um, I think it's Thom's ancern First let's see for me, I'd have to say with family just because of how like family oarrented you are, Michelle. Um, and then just like obviously I'm family warrented too, but I don't know, You're just different with your family, and you know, like I think that kind of grubs off called me sometimes with how I am with my family or like how I've interact with my family things like that, so I'd have to say, just in the fine family, I aspect you definitely influenced me in a positive way. Oh yes, this kind of isn't their py session. Wow, I'm not crying. You crying? Okay? Um, what was a big deal at the beginning? These are hard questions. What was a big deal at the beginning of the relationship That isn't anymore? Thomas, you want to start this one? The funny obvious one was initially She's like, oh, well I just bought this house now way and we have and then like ten months later, Yeah, that wasn't really a big deal. But yeah, I would say that the biggest deal was just coping with who we were and just the situation that we found ourselves in where we have your story coming from your experience with the franchise and then mine, and then how we blend that together and put all that on the back burners and just enjoy life day to day. Yeah, that came is naturally. I mean when we were even on the beach to the time we just spent time each other's homes, everything was felt natural. So I think one thing for both of us I would say is when we met each other. It was obviously Katie's season of The Bout Shrut was airing when we were on the beach, and I was watching clips and the episodes of him looking like you know, this terrible villain on the TV show and seeing him firsthand in daily life how he interacted with everyone on the beach was totally different from what the show was making him out to be. And so for a while it was like this weird and fuck of like, okay, but who are you really? Like? Are you who I'm seeing in real life in real time or is it you know, what this show is portraying you to be. And so to just go from that for a while and to not like fully understand like the why behind of like why that was happening and like why he was getting that edit was really difficult for me personally for a little bit. But I will say what helped a lot was the fact that once we were done film in Paradise, we still had to be in hiding until the show finished airing. So for months, what was it, three months, three or four months till the finale, we had to be in hiding, and so I literally just had to get to know him for him, and we would sneak out and like see his family and some of his friends, so I could actually see him in his real life with his people that you have known him for his entire life, which helped. But that actually was nice because I could actually get a baseline for who he truly was and not what the show made him out to be, which was very helpful. But it was just like that weird limbo phase of like, you know, why are you a villain on TV? But really great in person because one of our within our last conversation on the beach, one of the big striking points I had was your biggest problem with our relationship at that time was we didn't have problems. You're asking you, is this real life? Is this really who you were? And then in that time we got to spend together like, Yeah, this is who I am. This so I've always been? Yeah, And then just finding that trust and faith in each other. That's was the biggest roadblock we had a climb. And then in that I mean, that's what brought us to where we are today, which is everything. So yeah, I had to go through that little hurdle, but it was all worth a wild experience. I know it's crazy, right, it's crazy. What about you two? Um, let's see does anything come to your mind? Nate? Um? Well, so just repeat the original question really quick. What was a big deal at the beginning of your relationship that isn't necessarily an issue anymore. I don't know it was a big deal. I think like both Michelle and I were like like hyper aware that we've never gone through a fighter argument and just like how unnatural that is, because usually when you meet somebody in like a natural cadence, you're gonna have disagreements, you're gonna have fights, you're gonna have arguments things like that early on or not early on, you know, I mean like somewhere early on, nothing before you get you Yeah, you know what I mean. So, like, so I think it wasn't like a big deal to us, and it's kind of just like like super like hyper aware of like all right, like we've like this has been super easy, like we're smooth sailing, like no fights, no nothing. But it's not a big deal now because Michelle and I fight every other day, so work for it. Nailed it, I feel, quick followup question on that with that awareness that you guys had coming off the show. What if you guys learned out yourselves and each other now in this engagement being long distance and not being able to do with each other all the time. Um, shoot for me, I mean, like we're both kind of the type of people that whatever we're upset, like we just need to like give me five ten, We're good. You know, in five ten we come back, it's like, what are we fighting about? Like this this is nothing, you know, you know without that five ten, you know, if I can kind of like grow from there. But if Michelle and I take our five ten, we're good. Yeah, that's definitely. That's my takeaway of how how her and I like handle toughy situations is like give me five ten, give Michelle five ten, and we're good. So yeah, I think. I mean, just even with me and Nate, what I've realized is that a lot of times we're saying or agreeing on the same thing, but the way Nate communicates, in the way I communicate, in the way that we receive communication is very very different than we're both used to, and so there's times where it's like we get done, like we're something out and it's like we were saying the same thing the whole time, but I was hyper focused on this area and you were hyper focused on this area where you know, for me, I just I'm very I want you to know what I mean and like my meaning, and you know, for him, he's he's very literal also, and so it's like we kind of go back and forth. But like Nate said, just taking that five to ten minutes, I feel like we're able to I'm able to think through the emotions part, He's able to think through the literal part. And then we come back and we're like, okay, like we're both on the same page. This is what we need moving forward. We're good, move on. That's beautiful because that directly reflects what you guys both said, what you've learned from each other. I mean, Michelle you were saying, Nate helps you really hunker down and see what really matters in that breathwork. Nate you were saying, you as a person, you need a process and literally go through every single focal point of things. Then that's what's making you, guys relationships strong and long distance, Like are you kidding me? All that is amazing, but not even the fact that like long distance is hard enough, and being in a relationship with you know, men and women operate very differently differently for the most part. And add on the fact that you are in the public eye and everybody saw your relationship unfold and of course have their two sense to say about you two and have their opinions and their comments and their criticism. That layer adds on so much extra stress. And if you can just recognize that and be able to talk through that and like still have each other's backs and be supportive and get through whatever the argument or conflict is is so important. And and it's always probably going to be that way. I mean, just speaking from experience, that's always going to be there. It makes it so difficult. But it's good that you guys are both on the same page and can kind of take that five to ten talk through. You know, Okay, you're probably coming at it this way. I'm coming at it this way. Let's meet in the middle and work through. This is so important, right. I want to add ask you guys this because when you go on the show, you know, like of course, Michelle, you are there to date all of these men. Thomas Port that Margarita, baby, you were there to date all these men and like, yes, they're your boyfriends, but do you feel like you missed that boyfriend girlfriend's stage in a way because you literally went from dating multiple people to then getting engaged and it's it's such a weird transition. Did that ever bother you or hinder you too? To be like, we missed such a huge chunk of our relationship. Do you want me to go first night? Or do you want to go? I feel like we both have had so many conversations about just taking our time and enjoying each other's company and figuring that out where it's really important for me to never leave that dating stage, whether you know we're in we're engaged, or we're been married for howeverman years. I think what's weird is that you go from this situation where all these dates are planned for you and all of these you know, massive gestures are planned, and I think what Nate and I really love to do is just have things that are simple. But we're also still in long distance and so getting to that point where eventually when we're living in the same area to pick up that dating piece. But I think that comes when we are in that you know, in that stage just because right now, it's like going to New York, like that whole thing it was a date. That whole weekend was a date going to La together, that whole that whole weekend is a date in a getaway going to Conrad, you know, in Mexico again. So I think, yeah, yeah, that makes sense. I like it. Nate's like ditto. I mean I think I think like for Michelle and I honestly like early on we had that conversation of like, okay, that was that was a whirlwind, that was an experienced that we're never going to forget. I think the first day, yeah, the first day that we all met Michelle, she came down and she was like, I want somebody who can make natural of the unnatural. And so after the engagement, it was kind of like, okay, like you know, usually people don't get engaged after forty nine days and knowing each other, so call that the unnatural for sake of conversation, Let's now bring this back to the natural. So, yes, we're engaged, but let's definitely put our our focus on getting to know each other and dating and kind of going back to the basics of everything. Yeah, you know, and then I think that's definitely how we've treated this relationship. So yeah, and they will say and you, I'm sure you can attest to this, and Thomas, you probably can too, even though we're not engaged. Is so many people have their you know, especially on social media, their comments, their criticisms, like I said earlier, and somebody, people want you to do things or expect you to do things on a certain timeline or on their timeline because you met on a television show. And so the fact that you're not planning a wedding right now or not, you know, actively in the process of getting married, like they can't handle that. It's a lot. And I'm sure you've seen this too, of like get married already, half the wedding, half babies do this, do that because they saw you getting aage so fast. Isn't that funny? And like that part is so unnatural. Like you, if you were to have a conversation with any one of those people who are like, hey, get married, have this wedding, have babies, do all the things, it's like you do realize, like we've known each other a very short amount of time for what this world actually is and like what a relationship could be so like why are you who do you think you are going to tell us to have babies right now or to tell us to get married asaf like, but it's like you can't you can't win though. It's like you get off the show and they're like, you're this isn't You're not gonna like your relationships not going to work because you've only known yourself, like you only known each other for this amount of time. And then you're like okay, and then they're like, how come you're not married yet? How come you're not moved in. I'm like, you're just saying that we don't know each other, like Big One at least it's it's like, yeah, there's no happy media the world of bad short that's for sure. Um okay, I want to ask you about this, since you are obviously doing long distance right now, if you could go anywhere together, just the two of you at this moment in time, where would you be? All right? Answer answer three two one, grease okay out was not answered at the same time on the count of three greececialize that what you Yeah, we talked about that in overnights. Actually we need a new question. On this one because I was sorry, like I couldn't hear the right time, but I also knew there's a mull chance that it could be Europe. Mano comes running. So we have this thing and that I uses with my sister for the dogs of like if we were going in the car on a trip, we would call it Grace, and so we'd always be like, we're going to Greece, We're going to Grace, and of course walking over here running. Yeah, she's so confused though, She's like, why aren't we going in the car? She needs some water. Okay, wait, here's what I want to know about your relationship. What is like the funniest moment that has happened Grease, Grace. Funniest moment, Oh, there's one that immediately stands out to me. We're literally on our kitchen table playing dominoes, and out of nowhere, I don't know what overcame this woman right here. She was just like cry, laughing over the smallest little comment, and then I start cracking up and it was like eight minutes of I couldn't tell you the origin of this that we were just we were just laughing. Is I have the videos if you want to give me that little front phase. I don't remember that you lost your damn mine and it was amazing. Um, I don't the funniest moment with Thomas, I don't know what. We laugh a lot. Can I tell this story? It was also okay, I'm gonna tell a story. Okay. So I took Timis Universal Studios for the first time and he had to get he had to get a um Harry Potter cloak and a wand, and so he went through this space after that for like a week or two straight where he had to wear this cloak and bring his wand absolutely everywhere, Like we would go to the dog park, he'd have the cloak and wand we'd go to freaking Starbucks, he'd have the cloaking Wand we had to go to Target one night to get some stuff. And you know, we're picking up the necessities and like maybe some food at the grocery store and he's wearing this cloak and wand and I'm pushing my car in front of him and he's walking behind me and he just rips one so freaking loud. I was so embarrassed. I've never seen her run away from me faster and a random man throw a spell. And it was like late at night, like target was about to close, so I didn't think anyone was gonna be there. And I turned around and there was somebody literally right behind Thomas walking and I blinded. I booked it all the way like on the other side of the store. I was like, I cannot be near you. And everyone's already kind of looking at him anyways, because he's the six sixth man in the Harry Potter robe with his pawcorn wand and I was like, what you. Meanwhile, I see her sprint and it just sets me off. And I'm standing in the middle of produce. Now I'm just cackling wearing this robe. I can't control myself. You trually can't control yourself. That was one moment. Oh my god, I can just totally see you, Thomas, like trying to blame it on a spell, but Aloha Moore. I truly opened up everything, Like wait, Thomas, wait, Thomas, what would you what would your spell have been if you were to blame that moment on a spell? That's my patronis you hit that one out. It was so embarrassing and like and it was it was there was a duck in there. My patronis just happens to be a duck that was going down. And it was like here's the thing too. And I don't want to say this in like a cocky way, but like people know Thomas lives in San Diego, and like there's a lot of Bachelor fans all across the country, and for whatever reason, going to that target, we always get stopped and like this sounds so conceited. And I don't mean it to sound like this, like stop for photos or like just to say they love God. The person who heard that knew exactly who we were, so they could just have that story please out. So I was so convinced, like somebody's gonna see Thomas and his cloak and like take photo. And I was just like this is it's a great cloak. It's a lovely, very fottered to point out that's at um thank you. The same question to YouTube, turn turn the tables. Can I tell the burrito story? When we were filming, they got me farting and target native of course you could tell burrito story. I got to tell that one. Okay, yeah, okay, n you tell the burrito story. So this is one of the first This is one of the first stories that Nate told me in fantasy suits actually conversations. Okay, as I love the fact that this year I cannot where there are no microphones. What do they talk about? This brito story? Tell you up like this, this like dead ass happened. I was traumatized, so too. We just got to uh to California start filming. Like this is before we even met Michelle. We're just like quarantining for for our few days whatever, and we're getting, um, we're getting all of our food delivered to the hotel room, right and so on this particular day, we had a burrito delivered to the to the right, and I glanced out the window, you know, I see my fee my feet down whatever whatever, and um, I glanced at the window and I see Michelle. She's like like it like went like my in my hotel room. Then like the pool and then the other side of the building and I see Michelle. She's she's over here waving. She's a balcony. Yeah, it's like day two. I don't know what the role is, right, but it looks like she's looking at I was waving Caitlin for some inst I was. I was waving at them. They were down by the pool. I am sitting in the hotel. But as Nicky, you always Brito right by the window. Seeing the Brito, I'm like, munch. And I looked to the side. I see Michelle. I'm like and I'm like, like, burrito, you know where I thought she was waving at me. I'm like, like at that home, you can just get up and only I am. But Michelle, are you crying? Yeah, because I know the exact moment, because I had to walk out on the balcony and wave to Caitlin and Taitia a few times so to like do that right and know that moment. And then OG's talking to the hands, know that moment and then no, he's in there like pauses in the middle of eating to look over me, like Craft, you know one of those moments where you just like I had to own up to it because at that moment, like you're not gonna hop up and own that. Yes, I'm button naked and Brito, what's up? How yourself? This is how you got the first impression rights have since then? Have you seen Nate eating a brito naked? I think we talk your next romantic dame. I'll let you know when you know how every friend this episode has the like, um like the title is like the one that or the one win whatever. This is the one with the naked burrito. You have to name every podcast episode like this. Absolutely, that actually sounds very pleasant. I want to try eating my next barrito naked. Yeah, I'm gonna do it, honestly. Thanks. Me a little nervous with the dogs around, but I'm gonna give it a got size. Let's do it. Our listeners are in for a treat this week. Okay, I want to ask both of you fellas this Nate, you can start, because Michelle obviously is beautiful in so many ways, but what is one thing that you find most beautiful in her? Ooh uh okay, give me twelve minutes like it right now. It takes me a while. I can't just say over her eyes there's the most beautiful part about the show? Um uh? I mean okay, Like we're not gonna go physical on this one. I'm gonna I'm gonna like kind of the same thing how she was with my family. I mean, it's beautiful to watch, so that's gotta be like how she's my sister, and my dad and my stepmom and my stepbrother and my stepsister and my brother and just everybody in the family, my mom, Like I mean, she's just she's great with with the whole family. So yeah, she's great with everyone. Family's family. So I have to say, I have to say that's the one. Oh great with everyone, all right, Thomas, I'm gonna go ahead and say it's it's a shared Minnesotan thing with this one, because the Beck has a warmth in her that no matter the scenario we're in, whether it's family, friends, strangers, the twur the people she's around, she just wants to see everyone around her just experience like that same level of happiness. This is enthusiasm like that she would want herself, And for me, I think that's a beautiful thing to see in action and like try to wish upon those aroundment and more important to try to do the things to put that into action. So that's that's been my favorite thing when I'm around her, And I say that like a poet. I can watch her, but it's one of those things, like Nate, I'm sure you feel the same way I needed. I feel. The most pride is where we're just sitting back and you're just washing your loved one, dude, the thing that they do, and you're like, see, you know what, you have yourself a good one, all right because like you see how expressive Thomas is, Like I need lessons from you, Thomas. Yeah, Michell, really give my family. You know she's happen. It just takes him. It just takes him, you know, a minute. You know, it's not like that. You don't feel that, it's just it takes them a minute. But the thing is, the metaverse takes a second to process. So we've gone full circle and you are you just keep doing you. But n you know what I actually love and appreciate about you is the fact that you don't like a time limit. You're not like the rapid fire. It's like you really want to genuinely give an answer that means a lot, and you're not afraid to express that, which I think is a beautiful thing. Most people just say whatever comes to mind, and you're like, I need some time. I want to think of actually the best thing for my woman here. And the big power in that, Nate is like everything you're coming from, it's not just from the hit, like that is some result, that is some heart, that is some thought going into things. You get to take over the podcast talking with Thomas Therapy with Thomas seriously though, um, well no, Michelle, I want to ask you the same thing. What do you find most beautiful about Nate? His willingness to accept the people around them for who they are, so like he truly embraces who someone is, whether that's their flaws or not. He wants people to be like very real and acknowledge that, you know, acknowledge what they struggle with, acknowledge what they're get at. But he with whatever that is, he accepts it. And so I think that's the biggest thing. I could name a few other things, but I love that. I feel like more people need to be like that. That's a great quality. Yeah, yeah, you know if he has like a friend like and he really does. He has this amazing group of friends around him, and I think you can really see who somebody is by the people that around him. And he also has some you know, friends that are crazy, but like he loves them because they're crazy. He's like, yeah, they're they're crazy, But he still genuinely sees a lot of good qualities in that person and just completely embraces who they are. Yeah, oh I love that. I'm going to um so. For Thomas, one of the most beautiful things is he truly, truly is the most welcoming, accepting, supportive person for anyone. He truly wants everyone to succeed in life and really builds them up and welcomes everyone like he's the type of guy that you ask for the shirt off his back, He'll give you that, and he'll give you his pants, He'll give you his sneakers, he'll make you a meal, he'll make sure you have a good drink. Like he will give everything and more to anyone. And that's I don't think enough people are like that, especially in this day and age, and so he truly wants to lift everybody else up around him. I agree. First time, I truly Thomas, like I got the exact same vibes, Like I was like this dude, this dude goes above and beyond for everybody. Well, just so so inclusive. Because I remember being at when we did like this photo shoot for like you know, all these different podcasts. Nate was like the significant other that couldn't be there, but he because he was working, but Thomas face timed him during the photo shoot and was like, look at your girl, like and at that time, you guys haven't even met in person. Correct, Yeah, no not yet and so yeah, so he completely just made sure to bring Nate into that situation and because he wasn't able to make it. So yeah, and then he was back there taking our photos. He's blowing the wings, he's throw it up the rose petals, checking the rose. I know for a fact Nate would have been doing that same exactly. Neighbor have been pelting the roses at me, like baseball at me. I don't know if somebody smacked me. We need to get that photo of like just rose. It was like a full It wasn't just the petals. It was like a full on rose that smacked the side of my face. So whoever did that, I mean thank you because that's exactly what Nate would have done. Totally joke. Oh my gosh, we got we need the last footage archives of this photo sho's doing. Okay, we're gonna ask one more question and then we're gonna get into um, just a quick little game here. So if you two had to describe your relationship in one word? What would it be one? You're actually like that at that point, I'm gonna be here for literally fifteen minutes. Then you can take this one question. Do you guys have one ready? See? Okay? This is also the funny thing about Becca and Thomas is that they make out during really important times that they're kissing. Well, we're just trying to think about a word. Okay. Up when during the final break up, like we didn't know the cameras were that he was getting right behind me. I thought they were straight on, so I thought it was from the front. That was the best. We're not on TV. We're gonna be fine. And in that moment I looked at them most like never break up with me like that. And that's when we made out. Um Okay, I'll say, okay, I need to describe our relationship and it's gonna be very simple. Um, and I'm just gonna say it's right. It's a right relationship that I have always I think belonged in, belonged with. So that's stupid. No, no, Nate, did you come up with one? I don't know one word. I mean, that's that's tough. We are blanking us. Becca's word. We're on a time crunch. Are we good to move to the game. We're gonna ask the gentleman of Bachelor Happy our first gentleman rapid fire. Don't forget the first. It's a rapid fire game for the first gentleman of Bachelor Happy Hour. We're basically basically going to ask both of you very easy question and you just have to answer whether it's you two or us ladies. Okay, yea, So basically I'll ask you who's the better cook? So, Nate, would you say you or Michelle? Every ready, that's the question? No, what I know? No, he is not the better cook. Let me. I knew he was gonna say this, and I actually came prepared because one because one when we cooked dinner for Thanksgiving, he pulled the turkey out of the oven. It was still raw, okay even but he didn't want to listen to me, but he pulled it out. And two, um, last night he sent me a picture of his dinner from Hello Fresh that he completely botched. It is like one of those Pinterest fails. To check this out. Okay, this is what it was supposed to look like. This is it's like these zucchini boats, and then this is what his has looked like. And he said it tastes like grass, so it doesn't look that bad. He said it tasted awful. But he's he's he's okay. I'll say this, he's a good cook, but I don't know if you're better. I think we need to have an Iron Chef showdown. Let's go, okay, can Thomas is gonna be the taste testers? Yes, let's go okay, they'll make those Ukini boats. Nate, you two come out to San Diego for a few days. Will we will have the right It'll be like the Great first break up. We'll have the recipes ready for you and you both have to make it. Sad. I said, we have to do a taste test. Yes, I'm laughing because it's supposed to be rapid fire and it gave a whole expect Okay, back and Thomas, who is the who's the neat one? Back up? Yeah, we're both not very neat, but she's she's she's neat, So neat? What are you talking about? I have seen your closet upstairs, and your corner and the downstairs and the box not I don't know why anyone thought this was going to be a rapid fire between couples. Who is the biggest baby when they're sick? Nate, you have to answer this. Sometimes the mirror hurts when you look into it, Nate, It's okay. It's always the guy, the man. Have you seen that man Fluke video. I'm just going from a common cold last week. Every trait in that video, I cannot handle the pain in pain or seke. Um okay, okay, um? Thomas and Becca. Who's more likely to get lost? Be for sure? Not even clothes? Okay? Who takes more selfies? Michell? Her face says otherwise, Well, nats just like all right, one and done? We good here? He's a one take Jake. Okay? Back on Thomas, who's the funny one? Yeah? Who's more fashionable? Michell? Really I would say both of us. I heard you wanted Jlo's closet and that you wanted to I mean, wouldn't you or something? I know it's no Harry, but there's some good stuff in there. True. Umho, Okay, this is a good one. Who hogs the cover? The dogs? Yeah, me and the dogs. I don't have the covers for us. I don't get this. I don't get to sleep on their covers. Yeh no, thomments, I'm on your boat man, like yeah, Michelle, there Minnesotans they got sleep diagonal. Yes, okay, who's the punctual one out of you too, Michelle? Yeah, teacher? Teacher, who's more spontaneous? Oh? Is it still us? Yeah? Oh definitely makes Mustache agrees with that statement. Yes, okay, Um, let's see, um, who's more likely to get a traffic ticket? Thomas, you pointed to me, I have not once in my life knocking Wood had a traffic ticket. How many have you had? Like six? Exactly? Don't even be in this direction, sir. Your car insurance must be high right now in the Mars just like, hey, that's electric. Don't don't hate on the Honda. That is a guy that goes crazy. I'm not go it is. I will say that. Um okay, last question for you too, who already has baby names picked out? I mean I've had a low key I've had a listen so I was like ten years old. Wow, okay, So Nate, Michelle, you gotta get these names later. Yeah, just confrom me on this, Nate. Like the Nigerian culture, like babatun they stays in there. Crestling is for the first born son when the father's father passes away, So you know, God forbid. Let's say my dad were to pass away. Whoever in the family the firstborn son after my father passes away. Oh okay, yeah, but I do have a I have a list. I've had a don't wives because I was like ten years old, eleven years old, having wait, throw throw us, if you throw us, one name that's on the list, one boy, one girl. Um. I don't really have a lot of girl in the names. I know it's kind of messed up, but I'm like, I know, man doesn't want to replica of me. I really liked the name Iodela, which is uh, my sister, She's Iowa me. So the male version of that is Iodela um. And I've always loved that name. So that Yeah. Oh yes, we asked this question. We'll learn it. Yeah, do wait. I feel like Thomas had baby names picked out. We've we've talked about baby names. Yeah, we love we love the name Sloan. I don't know, Okay. Stevie Stevie Stevie's first father first girl name is Stevie. Stevie Stevie Jail most likely Kouffrin, Jacobs, Jacobs or Jacobs Cuffin. We'll work on that part. And then the first boy I want, John Gerald Jacobs. Dude, I like the name John. I don't know John. John is like the definition of basic. But with that name, thank you. I'm I'm gonna sorry I dated Johnny. Nope, in particular, he's adding our Johnny is gonna be great though. Fact but I'm taking away for all girls. So there's that two fingers crusted um. Okay, you guys. It has been so much fun having you both on. I've loved our double date here. Why are you silent having like that? All girls? Are you kidding me? All girls? All girls? Sure, Well it's going to happen very soon. Um, let's we're not ever going to do a rosen Thorne because that is going to end on a high note. That is my rose of the week. Being with all four of us together. It was so much fun. I love that you're currently rocking Thomas's hat right now. For those who can't see, I'm not sure who wore it better that it made a little big I look behind the mask. Yes, you actually like identical identical. This is a good wild a little little not snug enough, but that's okay. Um, but Michelle, thank you for such a fun episode.
