00:00:02 Speaker 1: Hey, everyone, welcome back to Batch a halfy hour. If we sound a little exhausted, that's because we just got back from our wedding and this is a wedding special episode. It is a special wedding episode. 00:00:16 Speaker 2: A special wedding episode, a wedding special episode. 00:00:20 Speaker 3: Both both work. 00:00:21 Speaker 1: How do you feel about that? 00:00:22 Speaker 3: I feel great, mister Ambley. How do you feel? 00:00:25 Speaker 1: I feel wonderful? Missus a Mombeley. And it's the first time I said it. 00:00:31 Speaker 2: That is crazy. On all of our photo booth photos it says the Ammoveles, and like when they introduced us for the reception, they said the Amblis, which just feels so crazy. FYI just to clarify, I have not changed my name yet. I'm still technically screen a Pit but I will be not. In my eyes, you're not Missus A Mobley, and in Joe's eyes and heart, I am already Missus A Mobley and legally I am your wife. 00:00:55 Speaker 1: Yeah. We also later this week, second part of this episode, we have our referend Wells Adams coming on Reverend Well So it's gonna be a full episode of talking about our wedding, which couldn't be better for us. Speaking. We are we love talking about ourselves and. 00:01:14 Speaker 2: We are excited to recap our wedding with you guys and tell you everything that went down. And if you were sick of hearing about our wedding, well, this week's episodes are not for you, but hopefully you're not because we are going to walk you through all the best and worst moments of the weekend, tell you our favorite moments, talk to Wells about his favorite moments, and I'm excited. 00:01:35 Speaker 3: You ready to get into it? 00:01:36 Speaker 1: Let's go. Okay, So I'm going to kick this thing off with been watching the weather, tracking the weather. So what we booked Charleston. We knew September is hurricane season in the South. 00:01:48 Speaker 2: Yeah, and just a little background. Four years ago, I was in Hilton Head And which is very very close to Charleston, and we actually had to flee in the middle of the night because there was a hurricane coming. So I was like very circle paranoid that I was gonna have a full circle moment for our wedding with another hurricane coming in. But like we'd booked it, we were willing to take the risk, so like there's nothing to do really, but like wait, yeah, we were supposed to fly out on the Wednesday before our wedding, August thirty first, Yeah, and what day did we start hearing about the hurricane? 00:02:28 Speaker 1: So we started hearing about the hurricane I want to say about five days prior to us having to leave. 00:02:37 Speaker 2: Yeah, that sounds about right. We at least knew there was like gonna be some rain coming, and then all of a sudden, Joe's friends who were in Florida started mentioning that there was an incoming hurricane to the Florida area, which is not in Charleston. Charleston's obviously not in Florida, but near enough that we were worried it was going to impact our wedding weekend. And we did have outdoor components, we had backup plans, but that was the issue. 00:03:04 Speaker 1: So if when we were watching it it was going to be nice for the weekend, the issue was everyone was flying out on those days. Yeah, and if people can't get to your wedding. 00:03:16 Speaker 3: Well that's a big problem. 00:03:18 Speaker 1: Yeah. 00:03:18 Speaker 2: So we were supposed to fly out on the Wednesday, and then a lot of our guests were supposed to fly out on the Thursday and the Friday. So on Monday night, it's about six pm. We're just chilling. We've kind of done most of our errands. We're going to pack the next day for the wedding. We get a call from our wedding planner, Christine, and she very calmly, very gently tells us that she thinks it would be a good idea for us to bump up our flight to Tuesday and fly out the next morning instead, because the worst of the weather was supposed to be on Wednesday, and there was a very low probability we're going to get on get out on Wednesday, and if we didn't, then who knows when we're getting to Charleston. 00:03:56 Speaker 1: Yeah, which FI I have. All my friends at this point are just blowing up my phone of like are you seeing this storm up? And then I'm like at one point I'm like, how old are we that all my friends are just watching the weather at all time? They're all tracking this storm. 00:04:10 Speaker 2: Yeah, but they're doing because they care. They want to be at your wedding. 00:04:13 Speaker 1: Yeah, And so we're kind of like, ugh, so get on, get on the laptop. I switched the flights to leave Tuesday. 00:04:23 Speaker 2: Yes, it was either ten am or like nine pm, So we went with the ten am flight, meaning we had like just over twelve hours until we flew out. 00:04:34 Speaker 1: So we get there and it's beautiful. 00:04:37 Speaker 3: Literally beautiful. The night Monday night was hectic. 00:04:40 Speaker 2: We packed, we got everything organized. We were like all right, it was like a little stressful and kind of like this sucks, but we're like whatever we're doing this, it's it's probably gonna be for the best. We show up and it's literally gorgeous. It's sunny, it's warm, like not a cloud in the sky. We're like, where the heck is this hurricane? Also, do you want to tell them what happened in the uber when we landed in Charleston. 00:05:02 Speaker 1: I don't remember on the radio? Oh yes, so yeah, So we land in Charleston. 00:05:09 Speaker 3: And we're like, what, it's our wedding weekend. 00:05:11 Speaker 1: Yeah, get in the uber and then song number two the uber jars it plays our wedding This song we picked for our wedding song, which was Chris Stapleton Joy of My Life, which isn't like a popular It's not like I never hear it on the radio. You know, like Tennessee whiskey you hear all the time, So that wouldn't have been shocking and. 00:05:32 Speaker 2: Like, I hadn't heard the song before until we found it for our wedding. Like, we're not huge like country music people, so we were like, what are the odds? We land in Charleston and this song is playing on the radio. And we had the hardest time, just to be clear, picking our first dance song, Like we went back and forth on it for months. We finally settle on this one, and I'm like, We're looking at each other, like what a crazy sign? Like this has to be a good sign that the song is playing, So what do I do? 00:05:57 Speaker 1: I switched it. 00:05:59 Speaker 2: I switched that I Joe text me, Joe text me, I don't know why you didn't say it out loud. Joe text me, We're sitting nice show the over and goes. It just didn't hit like I thought it would. Yeah, but it kind of worked out because we were between two songs and one of them I loved. I've been holding out hope for for a while and we ended up going with that one, which was the song take My Heart by the Tesky Brothers. 00:06:24 Speaker 3: Yeah, and it was perfect. 00:06:26 Speaker 1: It was it was beautiful and I'm happy and I'm honestly I'm happy. We switched, so yes, so we started. 00:06:31 Speaker 2: We started our weekend with a hurricane and emailing our DJ for a new wedding song. 00:06:35 Speaker 1: Well, very ca I mean honestly, Tuesday was really nice. My friend Pat, who's so much fun and so crazy, he was there with his wife because they came Tuesday. So Tuesday night we had a chill dinner. It was very like Charleston was like shut down because everyone was getting ready for the storm. 00:06:53 Speaker 2: Wake up one, got my nails done. I missed my nail appointment in New York, but they turned out great. 00:06:58 Speaker 1: I went for a workout, like it was really nice day. I got a hair cut. It was, it was a really nice day. Wednesday, I woke up and decided to run with the while the hurricane was going on. 00:07:08 Speaker 3: Well, we woke up and went for a little walk. 00:07:10 Speaker 2: Yeah, and it was very a little bit like eerie because so the main streets of Charleston will flood. I guess if there's too much rain, just because they're old and that's the way the city is set up that it's like prone to flooding, I guess. And so we went for a little walk. Everything is closed. We're like running into people being like where'd you get that coffee? Like, nothing is open. Yeah, so we go back to the hotel, but it was like it felt like it was going to rain, but it wasn't really raining. Joe's like, I'm gonna go for a quick run outside. And if you saw my Instagram story, the minute he left, it was trential downpour. 00:07:44 Speaker 1: Well that's what it was doing. You would downpour and then fifteen minutes later it would stop. And that's and then we went to lunch. We went to this place if you're ever in Charleston, I highly recommend called Leon's Oyster Shop. Yeah, it was great, and we went there for lunch. They were closing early, but we got there just time. I think we got there at two and they were closing out like three point thirty. And yeah, when we left, it was perfect. And then middle of the middle of launch, it started pouring down and then when we left it was fine. 00:08:10 Speaker 3: It was doing that all day, just on and off. 00:08:12 Speaker 1: Yeah, and that's what that's what it kept doing. So we get through the storm and Thursday morning it's sunny, it's beautiful out and all our friends, your your parents, my parents, everyone starting to get there sort of like. 00:08:28 Speaker 2: No one's flight was delayed, Like I had friends that were leaving at five am that were like, hey, we're off, no delays, no problem. So that is the story of the hurricane. We all survived. Going in on Tuesday was the right decision and it didn't affect anything. If anything, it got rid of all the humidity, so we had even better. 00:08:45 Speaker 3: Weather for our wedding. Yeah, and maybe it was like a blessing in disguise. 00:08:48 Speaker 1: So then Thursday night we just do a small, little intimate dinner with our families and then we met all of our friends out at like some random bar, Henry the Market or which was actually a ton of fun. 00:09:02 Speaker 2: That was a lot of It was like three floor bar, live music. There was a bunch of people. Abba, Gail and Noah were there. 00:09:08 Speaker 1: That's what that's the first time we saw Abigail and Noah, they were sitting in there. They were there, Andrew and Andrew, which I was surprised. I didn't know what when Andrew was getting in, so we saw him and then I think that was those were the only batch of people there Thursday night, right, so as well, Yeah, because Kenny and Mauri weren't there yet. That was it. 00:09:28 Speaker 2: And then just a lot of Joe's friends and a decent amount of my friends were there as well some of our family members. It was like a very fun way to kick off the weekend. Everyone was just excited to be there drinking, having fun. 00:09:39 Speaker 1: Yeah. So then we go to rehearsal dinner day, which I mean I had. I had a blast. The rehearsal dinner was really nice. 00:09:48 Speaker 3: I do during the day that day, I. 00:09:52 Speaker 1: Think because people started like that's when everyone was in so I think we just started that's so we just started making our rounds and talking about the morning. Went by the pool. Yeah, get a nice tan, and then rehearsal dinner. I think it was. It was pretty traditional, like, yeah. 00:10:10 Speaker 2: We had rehearsal dinner at Cannon Green and I think that's their event space name. Like there's a restaurant in there called Wild Commons I think, which you should check it out because the food was so delicious. 00:10:25 Speaker 1: Yeah, and I think they've I think they've woron an. 00:10:27 Speaker 3: I think they have. 00:10:29 Speaker 2: Yeah, But I wore a traditional Indian dress, which is called a langa for a rehearsal dinner. It was kind of my way of bringing in my Indian side my Indian culture to the wedding because for those of you that don't know, my mom is Indian and her and my sister wore sories and that was super special. It was just it was just a nice little nod to to my Indian side. And I was super excited to get to wear that dress. It was custom made by fashioned by Rohini and they did an amazing, amazing job. But I will say if you've never worn one before, So when I had them custom make it, I had them put as little tool in it as possible because usually the skirts are very, very full, and it is so freakin heavy. It's not even funny like I've had Joe like lift up the skirt. I was going around to everyone there being like, feel how heavy this skirt is. It was another level. So that was kind of the motivation between me wearing it for the rehearsal dinner but then changing into something lighter. I changed into like a little mini Galiola have white dress for the welcome party, and I felt so free and so much more comfortable. I felt like an Indian princess for the rehearsal dinner. But like it was heavy, it waited. 00:11:44 Speaker 3: As much as I did. 00:11:46 Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, it was fair. 00:11:48 Speaker 3: You're outfit, you picked out all by yourself. You did a great job. 00:11:51 Speaker 1: I know, I know, what could I say? I got a great style. I love my jacket I got. Yeah, my jacket was really nice. 00:11:58 Speaker 3: It was beautiful. 00:12:05 Speaker 2: So at the Rhussal Dinner, there was about thirty people and we just had Joe and myself give like a toast. We wanted to keep speeches over the course of the weekend like pretty limited the toast. 00:12:18 Speaker 1: Honestly, that was out of all the times I spoke during the wedding weekend, that toast was the worst because I was a nervous We didn't have anything written. 00:12:30 Speaker 3: I had something like roughly prepared. 00:12:31 Speaker 1: I didn't have anything planned, and I had something roughly prepared and then Wells told me what he said and I was beautiful. Yeah, And the way he said I was like, wow, that's great. I'm just gonna literally say that, and I just I just yeah, it was not my best, No, it was good. 00:12:48 Speaker 2: We just wanted to say a little thank you to everyone for coming and kicking off the weekend. Obviously, the Russal Dinner is an intimate group of our some of our closest people. 00:12:55 Speaker 3: So you did a good job. Thank you, you did good. 00:12:58 Speaker 1: Thank you. I had samon. What did you have? 00:13:00 Speaker 3: I had sirloin, which was so good. 00:13:03 Speaker 1: I don't even think I tried yours. 00:13:04 Speaker 2: I think I was just we went and took photos and came back and I think our food was got. 00:13:08 Speaker 1: Yeah, they just took it from us, and I don't remember any of I know, I picked out all the late night snacks for the welcome party. I don't think I ate one of them. Yeah, didn't see that. 00:13:19 Speaker 2: I miss most of the food at our wedding weekend, which I think is a common theme amongst people. 00:13:23 Speaker 3: You're just so busy. 00:13:24 Speaker 1: Yeah, even at our wedding that that Well, we'll get into the wedding, but just like the dinner portion of the wedding, the food was great. Everyone's to talk about how great the food was. And I barely touched my food. 00:13:33 Speaker 2: Yeah, you're just just anxious, excited, nervous, distracted, overwhelmed. 00:13:39 Speaker 3: It's hard to eat. 00:13:40 Speaker 1: Yeah, so welcome party, we everyone goes out after. 00:13:44 Speaker 3: The welcome party was very fun. 00:13:45 Speaker 1: Yeah, logo party was so much fun. Everyone got there and then they all went out after because I think we ended it at like ten thirty or eleven, and Serena and I were kind of like no. 00:13:58 Speaker 2: Yeah, well originally I was like, yeah, go out woo. And my cousin Andrew was like, girlfriend, don't do that. Tomorrow's your wedding day. You're you don't want to feel like shit, you don't want to be hungover, you don't want to be super tired. 00:14:11 Speaker 3: Just go to bed. And she was right, that's the right to say. 00:14:14 Speaker 1: She's like, that's the biggest mistake. And I was like, yes, I actually really agree. So we went went back, went to sleep. You woke up at like seven thirty and left the room. I went to your suite and started getting ready. 00:14:27 Speaker 2: Yeah, Joe and I did spend the night together. I know, like there's the tradition of like sleeping in separate rooms on your wedding night, but one, we're already married. 00:14:35 Speaker 1: Yeah, he broke that tradition a year ago. Yeah. 00:14:37 Speaker 2: Two, I'm not a great sleeper and you're not really a great sleeper either. And I was just like, why would I go sleep by myself in a different room the night before our wedding. I'm like guaranteed to have a bad sleep if I do that. Yeah, so I'm glad. We slept in the same bed the night before, but then we separated at like seven thirty eight am and didn't see each other until the first luck. 00:14:59 Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't even know. So then, oh I had so when I got you that gift? So I got I gave Serena the first note she ever gave me. I had it framed, and because we had to leave early for the hurricane, I couldn't get it because it wasn't ready till the day we were leaving. So then I had to text Natasha because she lives here, and she picked it up for me. So day of the wedding, I went and got that from her. I think, I just I think. I had coffee with my friends, I had lunch, I hung out by the pool a little bit, and then by noon I had to get all the guys in my room and we started playing cards and it got out of control like usual, we took some photos. I can't wait to see those photos. 00:15:46 Speaker 2: Isn't it nice to be the groom? What a chill, lovely morning you had? 00:15:50 Speaker 1: Yeah? Yeah, I played the pool. 00:15:53 Speaker 3: I played cards with my friends. 00:15:55 Speaker 1: Yeah, we had some drinks and then yeah, I just chilled them waited. Honestly, I was just yeah, I was waiting for you. 00:16:02 Speaker 3: Yeah. 00:16:03 Speaker 2: And then my morning, Actually I shouldn't say it's nice to be the groom. My morning was super nice and very chill. 00:16:10 Speaker 1: It's just a lot of getting ready. 00:16:12 Speaker 2: It's just more getting ready. Yeah, Like I was getting ready all morning. But basically I had myself, my sister, my mom, and then six of my best friends, three of them from high school, three from university. We all did hair and makeup together and got ready. I got them these really cute little lounge where I SATs from set active. I know bridal robes are like the go to or like the little silk pejs, but if you know me, you know I'm a lounge where a girl and I just wanted to be comfy the morning of, and that's what I went with. I thought they turned out really cute for photos and stuff, and we just had a really nice show morning. Were you nervous in the morning, because I feel like I was fine until like an hour or two before I went to see you, and then I was like, okay, I'm getting anxious. 00:16:56 Speaker 1: The most nervous I think I was the entire wedding trip was the toast at the at the rehearsal dinner, and then the first look because it was such a build up, and I know, the first look is just you and I, but it was such a build up to that, and then I was like it was getting hot. I was in my head, I'm like, I don't want my shirt to get wrinkled, and yeah, I just I was like, I know, it's going to be the first time I'm going to see you in your wedding dress, and it's going to be intimate and kind of emotional. So I was like, I was nervous for that. That was the most nervous I was. 00:17:37 Speaker 3: Yeah. 00:17:37 Speaker 2: I also, yeah, I that wasn't the most nervous I was, But I feel like it's more nerve wracking for you because you don't know what you're going to see when you turn around. 00:17:47 Speaker 1: I was. When I turned around, I was so thrown off because I was expecting you to be walking towards me and. 00:17:53 Speaker 3: You're just right there behind you, right there, that one. 00:17:57 Speaker 1: Tear came down your eye and I was like, oh, like, yeah, what's happening. 00:18:01 Speaker 3: What did you expect my wedding dress to look like? 00:18:04 Speaker 1: I truly. 00:18:09 Speaker 3: Like if you could have guessed. 00:18:10 Speaker 1: If I could have guessed. I thought it was just going to have a little more like texture to it, okay, like a little more yeah, which, so when I saw how simple it was, I was like, oh, that's really elegant, Like I was really pretty. Yeah, because you showed me one that I said I liked and you're like, I almost went with that, yes. 00:18:36 Speaker 2: Yeah, from Superior Bridle. It was like one of the first dresses I tried on. I think it's in It might be in the vlog that I posted when I was trying on. 00:18:43 Speaker 1: Dress and I thought I was gonna be similar to. 00:18:45 Speaker 3: That, yes, yes, which it wasn't. 00:18:47 Speaker 2: Actually it's quite different, like similar cut, but different material design. Okay, before we go into first look at all of that, I want to backtrack really quick because I did get a lot of questions on Instagram about what I gifted my bridesmaids for the morning of I. 00:19:04 Speaker 3: Don't think you got your groomsmen anything, but you didn't do that. 00:19:07 Speaker 1: I didn't have groomsmen. You did, yeah, I mean you had you had, Yeah. 00:19:12 Speaker 2: But I got them little tote bags that said Reset on it. For those of you that don't know Reset, The label is my travel accessory line, and I gave them each the jet Setter Bundle, which includes a fanny pack, a passport holder, and a little accessories case. I like to use it for like my technology and chargers and stuff, So I gave them each of those, and then I gave them a bunch of little Aveda hair samples and a few Mario Bndescu products. Yeah, and then these set active sets, which a lot of them were on the plane home, which I love. 00:19:47 Speaker 1: Nice, nice fun. Okay, uh, that's a lot of it. Sorry. You know we've been uh we've been going pretty hard for four days. 00:19:59 Speaker 3: For many days. Yeah, but okay, first look, First look was great. 00:20:03 Speaker 1: I love I love the location and we were at. 00:20:05 Speaker 2: Oh my god, our photographer fould like the best location. 00:20:08 Speaker 3: The street was so beautiful. 00:20:10 Speaker 2: It was quiet too, which is crazy because it was a Saturday in Charleston. 00:20:13 Speaker 1: Our videographers were so professional and so easy to work with, Like it was just it was just all so seamless. 00:20:18 Speaker 2: Yeah, and I feel like they it was the perfect length. Like we were just starting to be like okay, I'm overtaking photos when they were like all right, we're done, we're wrapping. 00:20:26 Speaker 1: Up, but I did love that location. 00:20:28 Speaker 3: Did did Kristen tell you? 00:20:30 Speaker 2: So? Christen's my hair and makeup artist and she was on site with us all day as well, and she told me that the photographer and videographer assistant asked her because Kristen's worked with me many times and knowsbout Joe and myself, and they asked her like, hey, how much longer do you think we have before they're over this? Like how many more photos do you think we can get? And she goes, well, Joe's already over it. He's been over it, but he's fine, but he's kind of done. And Serena, You've got like maybe one more and they're like okay, And that's when they moved us to the White House. 00:21:03 Speaker 3: Oh really yeah, yeah. 00:21:04 Speaker 2: Which was I was like christ and you were bang on because I was just about to be like, all right, guys, can we do one last spot? 00:21:10 Speaker 1: Yeah? I was over it because I was like, I know, I already know that we have what I want. Yeah, when I know that, like what we got the shot what I want, Like, I'm like, okay, I don't need anymore. 00:21:21 Speaker 2: Yeah, but they were very good. We went back to the venue then and did photos with our families. We have to see our altar for the first time, and I feel, like Joe has said multiple times like you were like, oh my god, I'm sorry, my brain just went completely laying for a second. You were saying, leading up to the wedding, I don't know how the venue is gonna look. We've looked at so many inspo photos and design decks from our planners and layouts of the table arrangements, but it's hard to really picture how it's going to look. And I was like, no, I know how it's gonna look. I feel like I know exactly how it's gonna look. But when you see it in person for the first time, after a year of trying to imagine it, like it was so much more extraordinary than I had imagined it was going to be. 00:22:04 Speaker 3: Like, it was beautiful. 00:22:05 Speaker 1: What was more impressive to you the ceremony set up or the actual wedding? 00:22:11 Speaker 3: Oh oh gosh, I don't know. 00:22:15 Speaker 1: When I walked in for the actual wedding, so after the because our cocktail hour was outside in the in the front courtyard, and when we walked in for the actual wedding, I was like, wow, yeah, this came together because I wasn't sure about the dance floor being one of the first things when you walk in, because we got it. We had a black and white checker dance floor and it just made the whole room pop. 00:22:38 Speaker 3: Yeah. 00:22:38 Speaker 2: Yeah, And also like we had twinkly lights and all this stuff, and the sun was going down during dinner, so like when dinner was over, it just felt so warm and romantic in there with all the greenery and the flowers, the ground florals and the florals above our head at the altar though, I was like blown away with Yeah, I will say, they were so beautiful. 00:22:58 Speaker 1: It was great. Honestly, it was great. And then like we we do our vows before that's during the ceremony. There was a lot of pressure there because you're just nervous. And I had a joke. 00:23:13 Speaker 3: In a Landa Joe I will say, I. 00:23:16 Speaker 1: Wanted to cut you off by the way. I wanted to go first. 00:23:19 Speaker 3: Oh, but you had told me to go first. 00:23:21 Speaker 1: You wanted to go first, yeah, and then you seem so nervous. I was like, I hope she just lets me go first. Oh really yeah, But then. 00:23:28 Speaker 2: I wasn't I wanted to go first because I was so walking down the aisle and doing our vows, like the actual ceremony of the wedding, I've never been so nervous in my entire life. I literally was like I'm going to have a heart attack and drop down on the floor, like I'm freaking out. And I felt nervous the whole ceremony. But I was just honestly, I felt a lot better when I got up to the end of the aisle because I was standing there with you and Wells and your brother and my sister, and like, you look out and it's all your friends and family, so you feel like very comforted. But I was like, I need to get these vows done first because I'm so nervous. I was literally so nervous, guys that I accidentally started my vows on page two and I only read page two on I looked at my sister at the end, I was like, I missed a whole page. 00:24:10 Speaker 1: Are you gonna read? Do you want to read page one right now? 00:24:13 Speaker 3: I could read page one right now? 00:24:14 Speaker 1: Do you want to? I know you said you were thinking about it, well I could I have it ready? 00:24:20 Speaker 2: I could read page one. I'm kind of nervous again, though, to read it. If I'm being honest, I heard already. Okay, me to read it. 00:24:27 Speaker 3: No, I'll read it. I'll read it. 00:24:29 Speaker 2: I just want to cry on this podcast right now. Okay, I'm going to read page one of my vows for you guys. Give a little teaser of what everyone missed at the ceremony. Okay, ready, Yeah, Joe. One of the last times we stood facing each other like this was the day we got engaged. I remember feeling so overwhelmed by emotions that day, most of them good, but I still had the small fear of the unknown ahead that I know you felt as well. Standing here today, over two years later, I don't feel that fear anymore. Looking at you right now, all I feel is peace and happiness and love in my heart. I feel like the luckiest girl in the whole world looking at you, my husband, knowing I've just spend the rest of my life with you. 00:25:16 Speaker 1: So sweet. 00:25:20 Speaker 2: I was so proud of that first page, and the whole time i'm reading the value, you started off happing the notebook, being like something's wrong, something's wrong, I'm missing something, and. 00:25:31 Speaker 1: You start off with when I think back to us meeting on the beach, I think about all the little tiny decisions. Yeah, that is how you start it. 00:25:37 Speaker 3: Yeah. 00:25:38 Speaker 2: Yeah, And the whole time, I was just like, what, like, I feel like I missed the first page, but I just kept going and kept going because I was like, I was so emotional. I was like, if I sought myself, I'm gonna really throw myself off. And then I was right, I missed the first page. 00:25:51 Speaker 1: But I thought your vowels were incredible. Honk, yeah, truly. 00:25:55 Speaker 2: I feel like our vows reflected our personality as well, like mine where like like I'd been thinking about my vows for like months and like thinking about little things to say, and yours like you threw together last minute, but we're still like so funny and like effortless. 00:26:11 Speaker 1: Yeah it was. And then after that, once we do the valves, it's kind of like, all right, all we have to do now is our toast and say thank you to everyone. And it was just the wedding was just a blest. Everyone had a lot of fun. Everyone was dancing, drinking. 00:26:27 Speaker 2: Yeah, the coxail hour, we got a bunch of our photos, had a lot of fun. I like missed all of our apps. They actually brought a board. They were so thoughtful. They brought a board of all of our apps into our little like sweet room that we had like put all of our stuff and I did my change and stuff in and. 00:26:42 Speaker 1: I had the fried chicken biscuit. 00:26:44 Speaker 3: Yeah, that one that looked really good. 00:26:46 Speaker 1: It was good. You had a bite of that. 00:26:48 Speaker 3: I had a bite. No, I had like the scure. 00:26:50 Speaker 1: Oh. 00:26:51 Speaker 3: But honestly, I'm so happy with how well the food turned out. 00:26:57 Speaker 2: Like everyone the first thing they've been saying is, oh my god, the food at your wedding was so good, which I just feel like, you just look, the food can be perfect at the tasting, but when you're serving one hundred and thirty people at the same time, like it's hard. 00:27:10 Speaker 3: And they just did such a good job. 00:27:13 Speaker 2: But shout out to the venue. Dinner was great. I feel like we didn't need anything because you were so nervous. Gave our speech. We had speeches from my parents, Joe's brother, his best man, and then my sister, my maid of honor, and then us and then us, which. 00:27:29 Speaker 3: I feel like that that was kind of our goal. 00:27:30 Speaker 2: We didn't want a lot of speeches, no, so that was kind of perfect. 00:27:34 Speaker 1: And I think, yeah, like dinner was a perfect length and then yeah, then everyone just started drinking and walk around. A big like tip that ever ever most couples gave us was like don't leave each other side. We did not do that, but we were still able. I felt like we were able to see each other whenever we wanted. It was never like I was like like we were lost. Like it was never like I was like looking for you and like couldn't find you. 00:28:00 Speaker 3: Yeah. 00:28:01 Speaker 2: No, And I feel like something good that we did was we had a sweetheart table at dinner, and we didn't get up and walk around to everyone's tables and try to talk to them throughout dinner. We just stayed at the sweetheart table and then if people wanted to come up and chat with us, we were like happy to have them do that. But that was really the only time that we stayed next to each other for like a good hour and a bit, and that was like really nice chill quality. 00:28:23 Speaker 1: Over the decompress moment because I remember like the cocktail. 00:28:26 Speaker 3: Hour, I remember it was hectic. 00:28:28 Speaker 1: That was hectic because it was such a smaller space like our venue the inside was so large, like our room fit five hundred people. We had one hundred and thirty three there. 00:28:38 Speaker 2: Yes, But and the biggest thing, I was so so nervous that our venue was going to feel empty because the last thing you want us to feel like the space is half empty. And our planners did such a good job of making it feel like spacious but still full. 00:28:51 Speaker 1: Yeah you know what I mean for sure. 00:28:53 Speaker 2: And my biggest thing for the wedding we did, we served to express some Ourtini's after dinner to like and we did a quick dinner. I think it was like an hour and a half to maybe just under two hours for speeches, like we wanted to keep momentum going. 00:29:05 Speaker 1: Espresso martinis right after dinner was it was. 00:29:08 Speaker 2: The mood people then were like super awake, ready to party. And I was like, I want people on the dance floor, Like I don't want people sitting and hanging out, like I want them dancing around all night. 00:29:20 Speaker 3: And that's literally what we got. 00:29:21 Speaker 2: And I was so happy because you can't like force people on the dance floor, like it either happens or it doesn't for like three hours straight. 00:29:29 Speaker 1: Yeah, and then yeah, this is this is a bachelor podcast though any bachelor any so who was there? We had Tia and Taylor and Taylor. 00:29:38 Speaker 2: Which was their first trip away from baby Tatum, which was exciting for them. 00:29:44 Speaker 1: Nick and Natalie and Natalie's pregnant obviously, Wells and Sarah, Noah and Abigail, Kenny and Mauri, Chris and Anna, Andrew Spencer and his girl Natasha Free And then I think that's a. 00:30:03 Speaker 3: Shabby the producers. Yeah, we're not missing anyone. I'll feel like really. 00:30:09 Speaker 1: Turning now, I'm pretty I feel like that's everyone. So yeah, and then like you know, certain people invite it couldn't make it, but yeah, a lot of fun. I think they were all in the lobby till like two am, arguing about where to go. Yeah, and no one ended up going anywhere because they waited for so long to try to figure it out. 00:30:34 Speaker 3: Yeah. 00:30:34 Speaker 2: We we had like a party bus and some shuttles pick us up after the venue and take us back to the main hotel that a lot of people were staying at, which was so much fun and the perfect to end that. I have a photo of Wells blessing the bus. Yeah, because he's Reverend Wells. He took his job very seriously. Yeah, and it was just perfect. We went to bed. It was so fun, like truly. I'm sure I've everyone says it's about their wedding because it's like a personal experience, but like best in my life. 00:31:04 Speaker 3: Yeah, the best day of my life. It was perfect. 00:31:06 Speaker 2: Like I wouldn't have changed one thing other than I wish I remembered to read page one of my bows. 00:31:10 Speaker 1: And one thing I'm so happy we did. And I would suggest this to anyone is a destination, yes, because then you're like with your friends and family for an extended period of time. It's not like just just one night and then because like there are certain people I didn't get to talk to as much, but then I was with them the day prior or. 00:31:28 Speaker 2: I saw we had a big pool day at a hotel the day after the wedding, so we had like a lot of quality time with people that we maybe didn't get with at the wedding or the rehearsals dinner. 00:31:38 Speaker 1: So I get that like when people say, like, oh, I you know, I didn't it was hard to like make rounds or even see my my wife or whatever because it's just that one day. But having those you know, a five day. 00:31:51 Speaker 3: Thing, yeah, so nice. 00:31:52 Speaker 2: I agree, And I actually am glad that we went in like two days before to Charleston. Even if we just got in on the Wednesday would have been good, but the Tuesday just added like just time for Joe and I to like really take it all in, chill, relax, settle into the hotel, and just get like I feel like we spent a lot of quality time together in Charleston, and I don't know if I would have felt that way if we flew in on like the Thursday afternoon. Yeah, because obviously it's like a big social event, but destination wedding was the best decision for us. I felt like kind of a jerk because there was no direct flights from Charleston to Toronto or Toronto to Charleston, so that kind of sucked. But I am obsessed with Charleston even more than I was before. And I think we will definitely go back for our one year wedding anniversary. 00:32:38 Speaker 1: Absolutely, Yeah, And then I think that wraps this episode. Next thing we'll probably be talking about will be our honeymoon, which is in Italy. 00:32:48 Speaker 2: And yeah, before we go, we do just want to thank all of Bachelor Nation for the support. You guys showered us with so much love and kind messages on social and anyone that we popped into, and Charleston just had nothing but kind things to say. We are so grateful and appreciate it for all of them. If we couldn't get back to your message, just know that we likely tried to see all of them and we appreciate them, and you guys are just you're the best. 00:33:17 Speaker 1: Yep, I agree. Thank you everyone for tuning into The Happy Hour and make sure to listen Thursday when the episode with the Walls comes out. 00:33:29 Speaker 2: Yeah, thanks for listening. We're going to have lots more exclusive interviews very very soon. 00:33:35 Speaker 3: And that's it. 00:33:37 Speaker 1: That's it, bye bye
