Twice a week on Reality with the King, we'll sit down with my friends across the entertainment industry, recap our favorite reality shows, and revisit unforgettable moments that we are still talking and tweeting about. Hey rain Drops. On today's episodes of Alice, it's a King, we have to, at least for today, talk about Jersey. I know, I know, I know. We saw the finale, we saw the quote unquote reunion. Okay, but so much has happened since then that I need to just end the season on this note. And what better person to end the Jersey dialogue than my friend and the amazing host of the very successful Behind the velve Broe podcast. Give it up for my personal friend who I just love and he's also a fan favorite for the rain Drops, David, did.

00:01:45
Speaker 2: You personally save the best for last?

00:01:47
Speaker 1: Carlos, Ah, don't piss on my prior. Guess you shady motherfucker.

00:01:55
Speaker 2: I've just mean, I really am coming in shady today, aren't I My gosh? Well, you know, I just speak the truth, Carlos, I speak the truth. How are you?

00:02:05
Speaker 1: I'm really well. I'm really well. And that's listen. That's why you have a top rated podcast. You're one of my favorites when it comes to podcast hosts. I listen to your five day a week podcast, which listeners. That's a lot of work and this man is one of the best in the business because he delivers it straight. Okay, like he does. You give your opinion, and I like about it, and look, my audience likes it when I have somebody on my show where we may agree, we may disagree, but you're somebody who just keeps it real. So I want to get into your thoughts. We just wrap Jersey in terms of the entire season. So much has happened since then, okay, and I want to get your thoughts on a David. First thing first, let's just dive right into it. Great Catanya, the ex husband of Dolores. He recently did an interview, and he said, because David knows all things Jersey. By the way, Frank said that he heard allegedly that the network asked Teresa to step down as a housewife, that she wasn't fired, but that he heard she was asked to step down. David, did you hear that? And or do you believe it?

00:03:33
Speaker 3: No?

00:03:34
Speaker 2: I did not hear that, and I saw this. Then I read it again and it said yes. Frank said, yeah, I also heard that rumor. So it's like, not to be specific and play semantics, but it's like did you hear the rumor? Or did you hear it? Is a little different. It's like when he said, oh I heard one time, it implies it's from like the network or Dolores. And then when you're like I heard the rumor, like I read it again, and I'm like, oh, Also, I mean, does Frank really know what he's doing? I mean he should or We're many seasons in for Frank, but I really feel this is one where his phone is ringing now from Dolores and Teresa, and it's like and also, can I just say, I don't even know what the technical difference is between you've asked to step down. Well, we've asked you to step down, and if you don't, we're going to fire you. It doesn't sound like there's much of a difference. But I really don't believe this. I mean, look, I just think right now they really don't know what they're doing in Jersey, and I don't think they want to know, and I don't think they want to think about it, and I just think it's one big mess, and I just think it's like lower on their priority list than like today the day after the as you say, whatever you want to call it, reunion ends. I don't believe they're focusing on this right now. Well what do you think?

00:04:58
Speaker 3: No?

00:04:59
Speaker 1: I agree with you.

00:05:00
Speaker 3: Not.

00:05:00
Speaker 1: Like there's a board of directors and they're asking the CEO who is involved in a scandal of a pyramid scheme, a Ponzi scheme or like slept with the assistant? Do you know what I mean, like to use the word step down, or like ask to leave the show? Like what is this corporate America? Like what are you talking about and I think that's why a lot of people don't like when the husbands or the men involve themselves in the women's business, right because the conversation that Frank had sort of intimates that he's aware of what's going on. And I call bullshit on it. That's not how it works. You know, from my understanding and from my knowledge, they're not asking people to step down. They'll just tell you, like, we're not going to renew your contract or, as we know famously, you're going to be put on pause. Right, So I called bullshit on it. Rumors are rumors. I don't think that they're even thinking about the fate of Jersey today. My opinion is they wanted to see how the audience reacted not only to the finale, but also to the off the rails sort of reunion special. And based on the feedback that I've been seeing, David, it's still split. It's split. It's split. There's people who want Teresa and there's a large amount of people who want Melissa's team. What do you want, David, If you were part of the board of directors or rep the network and you had like final, say say it now exclusively, David who would you want to return to the Real Housewives in New Jersey?

00:06:53
Speaker 2: And by the way, that is different than who what I think is going to happen? Because can I just tell about Can I just tell you that I recorded this isn't like a plug for my own behind de Velvet World podcast, but I recorded about an hour and a half slowly looking at the camera of what I think is going to happen. Look, maybe I'm wrong. I'm just like, I want to go on record now that episode has not been released yet, but I now already need to do an intro to my own thoughts because my thoughts and I was so certain for this hour and a half, and I'm like, I can be wrong, but I want to document this have already changed since a week ago.

00:07:30
Speaker 1: So so you tape this a week ago, it's not to me. Yeah, it's not out yet, but you're saying, although you already pre taped it, it's not out. You're saying your thoughts already changed like.

00:07:42
Speaker 2: A week and a half ago. And I'm still gonna put out the first episode. I'm just gonna do an intro and then I'm going to do a whole nother episode. I mean, yes, maybe I am milking this Jersey train, but I really had thoughts and I was so like, you know, what do I think is? I have to tell you I am more confused about the future of Jersey than I normally am. Like Atlanta, I was saying all long. I mean to me, I'm like, you know, it was obvious. There's no Sanya's coming back, Marlowlane coming back. People were like, Chara's coming back. I'm like, there's no chance to raise Like I saw a clear vision for Atlanta. Now we all know that that bus has now gone off the rails because Miss Moore is not there, and don't even get me started on that. But I had a pretty clear vision. But you know, and I think you normally could. This is so like part of me is like when you step away from it, It's like, look, it's like Beverly Hills. I said all season, all season that season of Lisa, and I said, there's no way Lisa Renn is coming back. People told me I was insane. I wavered a little bit and then I'm like, I just saw it because I'm like, where is she going to go with this? It's like when you step away and you just have a week, a month, three months. I'm like, we really really get rid of Teresa? Can we? Like? And I don't mean you and me. It's like we're in this, like it's all the rain drops are in it, all my people are in it. But for like the world, you know, like when she's on Kelly Rippa and Jennifer Lawrence, not just the famous people but the people that like dip in lightly and dip out, like Teresa really is the face of New Jersey. And then people will say to me, well, what about Vicky. Oh please, Vicky was never to the OC what THEESA is to Dow Jersey. Now, I'm not saying that I'm correct thrilled, right, I'm not saying I'm thrilled with Teresa. This isn't like me being a Teresa fan. I just that's a whole nother story my personal feelings. But I just and yeah, maybe Nini maybe, But the difference to me, the difference is that Nini also didn't want to be there right, Like she was checked out, she phoned it in, she was doing scene, she thought she was bigger than the show. Teresa wants to be there. She has made that very clear. She needs the money I mean, who doesn't need you.

00:10:01
Speaker 1: Know what I mean.

00:10:02
Speaker 2: So that's the difference is like Teresa will show up and do the job. So but I used to say, there's no chance Teresa would ever go one hundred percent like I was going to die on that cross. And I'm starting to waiver now because I don't know, like why show that scene with Louie, Like Teresa wanted them to edit that out where he said, you know about Margaret's son, and they said, like, no, we're not editing that out. Sorry girl. So yes, it was an explosive but like if you really wanted Teresa back and Louie, I don't know, like why would that scene be left in there? My mind goes to that and look, we can't. I mean I've had her on my podcast like ninety five times at this point. Melissa's old Knows, I mean I always I always say, oh, it doesn't.

00:10:50
Speaker 1: Happen to my audience too about I mean, I show themad knows, but explaining to them, I'm again, who is Melissa's old knows? She is?

00:10:59
Speaker 2: Look, I mean she is one of the bloggers, the main blogger that was kind of in Teresa's camp, and I really don't know the nuances, if she was paid, whatever it was, but she was one of the ones that was like there with Teresa and you know, Teresa's lawyer and Jenlla, like she was working and look, she's put out lots of screenshots. I personally believe everything she says. That's just me. We can go on and on about that if you want. But so she was working with them, and then there was strife within the camp and then she defected, so to speak, and now she's putting out all of their receipts. So, but this has become mainstream, like they are talking about it, Kelly Kelly, and it's in every interview, Andy's talking about it. So these bloggers, specifically Melissa's auld Knows, have shaped the season like they were season fourteen. Melissa's All Knows, whether she was on the Damn TV or not, was season fourteen. It was part of So Bravo was aware of all of this, and then you have all these other things that I mean, Margaret just recently said that yes, there is a police report, she doesn't need to show it to anyone. So Margaret says she showed it to Bravo. The police went to Bravo all of this apparently allegedly, as you say, because of Louis. So it's like, is it just like time for Teresa to go? You know? I mean I really see it both ways, don't you? Or do you see a clear vision of Teresa as Teresa and she'll never go?

00:12:30
Speaker 1: So this is what I will say to you. I agree with you one hundred percent that this casting decision is definitely up in the air. I grew with you about Atlanta. I think with Atlanta we all kind of saw the writing on the wall. I think with bh Biby Hills, we kind of saw things. Even Potomac, I would say with Potomac, listen, you and I love Candace Villa Bassett. I was shocked that she was returning. Shocked, but we all knew that there were gonna be big changes, right.

00:13:02
Speaker 2: And in retrospect it makes so much sense. You're like, Okay, this actually makes sense that Candice isn't coming back.

00:13:09
Speaker 1: Yeah. So the thing is this, to me, though, I have never in the history of reality television seen a woman emerge as the face of an ensemble show, and the difference between her and other women who are quote unquote the Marquee name of their ensembles Kyle Richards of nine to two one oher Giselle and and and of Potomac. Right. The difference though, is there there's never been a New Jersey housewife who could hold a candle to the story that Teresa's personal life gives. There's there's never been one who was willing to expose and reveal everything that were going through. You know, the Old Jersey cast, and this is my experience, they were going to tell you things that were happening in real life, no shade, they were not. There was a lot of stuff going on behind the scenes in their personal lives that a lot of them said, I will leave the shew before I even talk about that, Right, Melissa's biggest storyline to me was when she was looking for her long lost sister or something. And this is no shade to Melissa. I'm just comparing big storylines. Margaret never had a big storyline. Jennifer Aiden, who I loved, never had a big one. Bill cheating was a big one, but they nipped that in the butt, like she talked about it and that was it. You know. It wasn't like a continuous conversation, so to not have somebody willing to give that level of personal story to me will be a big problem. But what I also know is this, this Melissa's old Nos account, You're right, has definitely been a dark cloud over this season. Teresa and Jennifer Well, let me just say it separately. Teresa has denied any involvement with the blogger Melissa Oldnos in terms of giving her information to go against her cast. Teresa has said that I am Teresa Judais. I go after people myself. I don't need people to do any of my work. She said that publicly. Jennifer Aiden has not specifically addressed it, not not not in detail. She told Andy on Watch What Happens Live that you know, fans get caught up in stuff and I've got the exact words, but it wasn't it wasn't detailed. You have had Melissa's old No on your podcast. Who do you believe in all of this? Do you believe Melissa's oh knows? Or do you believe that it's so confusing that anything could be possible in this situation?

00:16:13
Speaker 2: You know, here's first of all, here's the thing. I how can I put this without getting into it? Like I in a way was involved, not like in this, but I had podcasts with certain people that I no longer podcast with. I mean, I believe basically everything Melissa's All Knows has said. Honestly, I do, because it's the same thing when I would die on that cross that Melissa was in the back of that car and she kissed this guy Nick. I am so convinced of it because I know I'm not best friends with these people, but I know the PR person that worked for you know, Jackie and Margaret and Melissa, and I know who went out at night and I know they went out with Nick, like I can picture it. I know, like Jim Leonard and Laura's Margaret I've met a million times in Vanessa Louis X. Like I know these people. No, I'm not friends with them, I'm not saying that, but I know them. I've met them, so I know things that were just happening. And I forget about the screenshots. I mean, what you mean to tell me, Well, first of all, can someone come up with this level of detail? I mean, like, and that's the thing, I'm not like either a Teresa fan or Melissa fan, Like that's maybe why you like me, Why your audience likes me. That is how I keep it real. I really am not pro Teresa or pro Melissa. I'm just I don't care. I just think of it as like a corporate big picture thing. I don't see how someone could come up with all these details day after day after day. I mean, I haven't paid her a penny to come on my podcast nine times and talk about all this. She's not getting paid for me. I don't know. So I don't think, like, what is the incentive other than the fact that you know you're pissed off at the way you were treated. I personally believe it, and knowing like a Jim Leonard and all these people, I truly believe it. I do, and knowing Louie I do. I do believe it. And that's not me not being a tree hugger. It's just that I believe it.

00:18:27
Speaker 1: No, the thing is this, That's why I wanted you on because obviously you are to me. To me, you are one of the only podcast hosts that have such a You play integral role in terms of knowing what happens in Jersey. You used to be friends with Margaret Joseph. From my understanding, correct and you too had a falling out, so correct me when I get something wrong. You used to be friends with Margaret Joseph's you too had a falling out. Margaret was recently on to Teas in a Pot in addition to have the mcdone podcast. Margaret has said that she has denied trying to get in contact with Louis X prior to her words, prior to the gold dress she wore at the reunion, She has denied any involvement. She has said that, well, you know, after talking to her, I kept in contact with her if she says I like her dress, or she gave me her thoughts on the show, I responded, but yeah. She also sure she attended Joe Gorga's comedy show. But and I said hi to her, but we're not friends. Do you believe that Margaret had nothing to do with contacting Louis X to get information to use against him?

00:19:53
Speaker 2: So I think Margaret, No, I don't believe that. I think Margaret, you know, whether I mean a jockeye contact at her first or this one or that one. No, I believe Margaret was one hundred percent dming, texting whatever with Vanessa all the time. That's my honest belief truly, So nobody's really innocent in this. I mean, do I think Melissa does all this with bloggers and exes and not? Really? I mean, that's the joke about the whole thing is like we have to write. I don't know if Melissa gets her hands yeah, like she gets involved in Joe gral Not really. So that's what I try to tell people. Just because I believe everything out of Melissa's old nose is mouth doesn't mean that I am. I mean, yeah, I was friends with Margaret and we're not friends anymore, so it's not like I'm team Margaret. I do believe that she with Vanessa and all this other stuff, Yeah, one hundred percent. Do I believe it happened yesterday? No, I mean, as far as I know, it was happening for a while.

00:20:57
Speaker 1: What Margaret, when you guys were friends, Margaret tell you stuff just so that you're able to repeat it on air.

00:21:05
Speaker 2: Well, see this is partly why. Well look, I don't know, you know, she might have told me things, but this is really why. In my opinion, Like in my opinion, if you say why did we fall out, I would say the beginning of the end I mean, I call her the Sarge. It's her way or the highway, baby. So that is the whole thing. That's why I'm convinced that Melissa's oul knows is telling the truth because I was like part of this and I'll give you I'll tell you something a minute, like I was part of this and not in not like that. But I knew that there were certain podcasts and pages that were pro Margaret and probably worse. So she never that's a thing. She never did it with me. Now did she tell me things hoping I would repeat them? I don't know, But that's like the wrong tactic with me because I repeat things. But when I know for sure, Like I mean, I've had many days in the Hampton's here with Countess Llan who lives down the street. I mean I could, honey, well, i could turn on this microphone for the next three hours, but when I know it for for real. So if Margaret ever told me something like when we were having a cocktail or you know, she didn't drink, I would never have repeated it because that I'm like, now I really know it. I'm like, I can't say this, but I believe the whole thing with Margaret is is that when I started saying on the podcast that I know Melissa kissed this guy in the back of the car. No, I don't know it. I didn't see what my eyes, but I know it happened. That is to me, the beginning of the end of our friendship, which I never understood. I was like, this has nothing to do with you. But then I'm like, that's when I started realizing, Oh, this is deep because if I say this against Melissa, it's in favor of Teresa, which it's not. It has nothing to do with Teresa and Margaret's mind it. Did you see what I'm saying. That's when I started realizing if I say this against Melissa, which is my honest belief, which has nothing to do with Margaret or Teresa or anyone other than Melissa, then it's a strike against Margaret. So by me saying this, I was out against her on air. Do you see what I'm saying? And that's when I started to realize there were teams. But this is when for me, I was like, I'm done with you. Is that because my podcast cannot be on the tape, So this is a really long way of answering your question.

00:23:32
Speaker 1: Well, honey, we're all ears, okay, But.

00:23:35
Speaker 2: There was one time when she called me. Now, this is because the little PR person worked for She shouldn't say little PR person. The PR gentleman work for Jackie, Margaret and Melissa. So this one person, he's the one that saw all this. I mean, this is this kiss. But anyway, so I would say, like little PR boy because I think he's an asshole, but that's a whole other thing. I would say, little PR bitch. So Margaret called me one day to say listen, sorry to say listen, you know he's really upset and blah blah blah blah blah, you know, and I'm like, well, I don't know why you're calling me, like you want me to take the damn video down because we all know, Carlos, there are people that do what you and I do, that take things down when to resell her, Margaret, And I'm like, I'm not that bitch, so Margaret right, Like Margaret, I mean, my loyalty is towards the audience to just tell you what I think is real. So my so Margaret knew, she knew better that I wasn't that girl that like, let's not feed David. So they she never did me much I take as a compliment, so she didn't ask me to take it down. But she, I mean, I don't know why alse you're calling and you kind of but here's where I my mind was the end for me. She then said she kept talking. Now we're on the phone. Now there's no recording because we don't want to do anything illegal, So she's not recording me. I'm not recording her. It's not this is one friend to another. Before you and I got on today, you and I were talking, there was no one listening. So the point is we were now on the phone as two apparent friends with no one listening. And she said to me, you know, David, that kiss never happened. And now I'm like, okay, so now there's nobody, it's you and me, and you're lying like I would have respected her if she was like, you know, it happened, but we're like Tia Melissa. Here. I wish she said that, because at least I could have respected that. But you're now lying to me because I know you know, because I mean, and I can go through how I know she knows. It's like last season. But the point is you're not lying to me.

00:25:41
Speaker 1: Well, let me ask you this. How do you know for the fact that Margaret knew. Yeah.

00:25:48
Speaker 2: Well, and again, I mean I didn't see any of this in my own eyes. But this PR person that worked for Jackie, Melissa and Margaret is with best friends with this guy Nick, the one that Melissa allegedly kissed, and he they all go They all go out. They all used to go out at night. I mean, you could ask Jackie now that she seems to be able to speak to the others. They all would go out at night. They would go to Fresco by Scotto on fifty second Street because he works for the Scattos, so he also does PR and you know, so it's all all in the family. They would always be out. And so he's the one who allegedly opened the car door and saw his best friend that he was out with for the night kissing Melissa. Now, I don't think Melissa had an affair or anything like that. Who knows. It could have been a two second kiss. But the thing is, this all starts with him allegedly and I don't know this for a fact, but then he tells his I mean, you have three bosses you shouldn't be talking about any of your bosses. But I mean, we're just going to be honest here today, Carlos, We're just gonna, like, let's just have an honest conversation. So then he tells his boss over here, Margaret, not realizing at the time that she has the fence does and she's with Vanessa and we all don't know when Mark's up to at this point. So he tells the boss Margaret, I can't I got some gossip for you, and Margaret's ears perkop and say, oh, I can use this one in the future, Okay. So he tells Margaret, not realizing that this is how Jersey works. And then Margaret tells her best friend of forty years, which I have no problem with, Laura, that's your best friend since childhood. You tell her, you tell and who knew that you would fall out with your best friend of forty years? And when you do, your best friend of forty years then reveals what you told her that basically she was using this hanging this over the head of her good friend Melissa. So I know, now, does this sound so far fetched? Not really, This sounds like it's exactly how it happened.

00:27:49
Speaker 1: Who I hate to interrupt, but they tuned for more. This is reality with the King, and I'm Carlos King. Let's get back into the show. I find it so interesting that when it comes to Jersey, one of the reasons why a change has to happen is because, to me, it is a show about alliances. It's a show about digging dirt on people to use them. They don't have fun. They don't go on girls' trips. They don't like, you know, getting naked waisted and do coyote ugly on the bar like oc does. Do you know what I mean? Like, it's not fun because they're too busy trying to dig dirt on each other. And when they find dirt on each other, they keep it in the back of their minds and will use it against you if you go against them, Which now leads me to Jackie Golschneider, who I've always liked and enjoyed. Even when her and Teresa will go at it, I always felt as a viewer this is great television. I liked seeing Teresa activated, so I never disliked Jackie. Jackie obviously got fired right and was demoted to a friend you just mentioned earlier. Jackie, Margaret, and Melissa shared the same publicist because when they were on the show as a collective, they were the best of friends in air quotes. When Jackie got fired and then was demoted to a friend of all of a sudden, Jackie decided to I'm not gonna say it, go against them, but she decided to play nice in the sandbox of Teresa's team, which includes Jennifer Ayden. When Jackie got demoted, do you think Margaret and Melissa were like, well, we have no use for you, baby, And Jackie was surprised by this and decided to join the other team and reveal stuff to them so that they can have information to go up against Melissa. Margaret.

00:30:12
Speaker 2: No, I also like Jackie a lot, like in the real world. Out of all of these people, I mean, it's probably the highest one up. I mean, I've never met Jensfessler or Cabral or food up. But I really like Jackie. No, I don't think so, because I think more is more. The same way they want their minions and their bloggers and which podcast is for me and which one is for you. I think, you know, Jockie, they would have kept her like she's demoted, but you know, she could be our second rate lapdog in their eyes. I'm not saying that, but you know what I mean, I don't think that they would knowingly and you know, Jockey knows where I mean, that's the thing like when you just don't speak the truth and you're all doing underhanded stuff, you all eat know where each other's bodies are buried. So I think Margaret and Melissa knew that Jockey knows things, and as we can see, Margaret knows things too.

00:31:08
Speaker 1: You know, yes, yes, no, I agree with that. I agree with that. The thing is listen. I think Jackie was probably like, listen, I want the airtime, and what better way to get airtime than to join Teresa's team and do what's unexpected. And that's sort of like be friends with Teresa, which was interesting as we sort of look at the fate of the show, what do you think can save it? Because for me, it's this and I want to hear your opinion too. I I just think some hard conversations needs to happen with how people operate behind the scenes. And when I say behind the scenes, I mean investigations, the digging up dirt on people, the talking to bloggers or all those things. I just think it needs to be something to where there has to be since a mandate that goes across all of the shows, because if you look at each individual housewives, they're all great housewives, you know, I think, and they all brought something great to the table. Unfortunately they allowed the messiness of this show to ruin their jobs. Because everybody's job is on the line. You know, everybody's job is on the line. But when it comes to this show, I do feel like something has to happen. I had a guess on my podcast named Gibson John's who said to me that he believed strongly that Louie is the downfall of Jersey. Do you disagree or agree with that?

00:33:03
Speaker 2: A lot of people feel that way. I don't necessarily disagree with that. I look, I think this was going on before Louie. Like, I don't think like I believe everything Melissa's Attle now has said, not just because she's been on my podcast so many times, but I think that Teresa was already up to some of this. But again, Margaret too and others and Louis, Yeah, Louis, it was not good. I don't think he was good for this show. I think he took it to another level. And I so if you think about it like that, yeah, I guess he was the downfall of Jersey. I mean I feel that that's such a dramatic statement because I'm not sure we wouldn't have been here without him. But would Teresa really care that much if it wasn't about her husband shouldn't have one? I mean, what would she really care?

00:34:04
Speaker 3: I don't know.

00:34:05
Speaker 1: Well, the kids for sure, And like you said earlier, this is her livelihood, you know, this is how she makes her money. She really is a housewife. I think, listen, if they decide to keep Teresa or any of the women. I do think there needs to be something about the husband's not being involved in the storylines mean meaning collectively, we watched Potomac, the husbands aren't really involved in the women's storylines.

00:34:35
Speaker 2: We watch Beverly Hills.

00:34:36
Speaker 1: Beverly Hills, though husbands are barely around.

00:34:41
Speaker 2: You know, I feel like there are no husbands now I understand.

00:34:46
Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, No, Beverly Hills is now the real single ladies of the nine of two and zero. Like how New York became that when all their husbands were like gone too. But I think the only way it'll work is if the the maids aren't involved.

00:35:03
Speaker 2: But do you think because like, look, I think that they I think the mistake they made. I screamed from the rooftop about this on my podcast last season and about all the changes that were happened. It should happen, it could happen. I think that's the mistake they made. Like there was the Jersey pause and then it was over. It was like two months, Like remember when we thought it was going on pause. I understand how everyone came back because you put everyone's name on the whiteboard and you didn't know what to do, and at that point, you weren't getting rid of Teresa, so the only person that get rid of would be Melissa and more and they didn't do it, And I understand why they didn't do it, but you should have taken longer. So now it's like, do you think that would work? Like, whether you believe it or not, I believe it. I believe that Teresa was up to all this stuff within Melissa's and Louis and Margaret and Moore, Like, is that going to work? Teresa, don't do this? You've had the same lawyer for how many years? Like, don't do this? Like, what what's the what's going to happen? It's an immediate termination. We find out week three that we're into filming. I mean, they just let Kenya go, like and this happens, Like there has to be a like, I'm there has to be a real talking do you know what I mean? Like because they get warned don't do this, and I mean rumor is they've all been warned not to go negative on social media. And the other day someone posted and like they reposted Margaret's comment about like Jennifer and Teresa walking in looking like weird Ally Yankovic and Jennifer responds it, right, remember that on the show. And Jennifer responds it, at least we have hair, slamming Margaret saying like, at least we have hair, bitch. So I mean, as far as I know, I've heard that they were warned, like it's over, girls, stay off social talk about flowers, Teresa post gerification, and here's Louie saying, you know, Margaret doubling down whatever he just said about Margaret, that bringing up someone's son as a storyline is pathetic. So Louise. I'm not picking on Louis and Jennifer and that side, but apparently they were already warned, and here they are on social media doubling down. So, like as I say on my podcast, some people get mad at me, this is a group of actual animals. This isn't the nine O two and Ozero, this is im Potomac. This is actual animals. I'm sorry, and now I'm gonna have to give some tough love here. So how would you like to enforce this, mister King? You're an executive producer, extraordinary, Oh Teresa, don't do this? Yeah yeah, yeah, Oh, jennifucker, I'll do whatever the fuck I want. I mean, how is it that you would like to I mean, what type of speaking to is this going to be that's going to actually work?

00:37:49
Speaker 1: I agree with you, I don't think. I think it's further than a conversation. I think and I would love to get your thoughts. Because you are a lawyer. I think there has to be some sort of language and the agreement about Listen, every every employee has something in their agreement, whether it's the code of conduct, whether it's what's what I'm looking for. David More code, thank you, thank you. The morality clause, the moral code, right. I think there has to be very specific language in terms of if we find out that you are talking about storylines for bloggers, it's a media termination. I think there has to be something legal in order for that to happen, and some sort of penalty. I think it's that serious. But I don't think you only do that to Jersey. I think you have to do that across the board, because somewhere down the line they lost a plot of what the show is about and what we the audience want to see. I'm loving OC this season because it's fun and the drama is not dark. I actually laugh at the drama that they're arguing over because to me, it's funny, like when Gina is yelling at Gin in the coffee shop and like, why are you wearing makeup and getting glam when you can't afford rent? Like, to me, that's funny, you know, like it's funny.

00:39:29
Speaker 2: Yeah, we did Heather call the paparazzi on herself. Now, now Pedantry has a rolex, and Emily is teaching us that, like, sell your damn rolex, you can't pay your rent. The thing doesn't even work. I agree. It's like I'm watching this as if I'm producing it, and I'm like this, someone got it. They just got it. They're like remember the old school days of you know, the Housewives. This is what we're going to do this season. I know see, and they're actually doing it. It's working. I totally agree.

00:40:00
Speaker 1: Yeah, and it has to get back to that. And that's why for me, you have to do something. You have to do something dramatic in order to get a different result. And like you said earlier, if people go against the cold, they can let go in the season like it is what it is. But I just think when it comes to Jersey, I would me, Carlos King. I would be a happy person. Let me get my dog one second.

00:40:31
Speaker 2: That's fine.

00:40:31
Speaker 3: Everyone has these dogs.

00:40:44
Speaker 1: Okay, so look, I Carlos King. I would be a happy person if I don't ever see a men's scene on Jersey. I do not want to see these men hanging out with each other. I don't care. I don't care to see issues with the men having with the women. I don't care to go to and see a charity baseball game and the guys are there. I think what I would like to see for New Jersey is getting back to these women and yes, family, I would love to see like the solo family scenes with the husbands, but the moment there's an all casf event, I do not want the husbands there anymore. I think that the thing when it comes to Jerseys specifically is in that town, there is just this this thing that the wives go to another level if you attack their husbands, and I think the only way for them not to happen again is you don't evolve them.

00:41:53
Speaker 2: Who would you like to come back? Then?

00:41:55
Speaker 1: I listen, not only because she's my friend. I just you can't pay me to watch Jersey without Teresa. I just I can't even like, I can't imagine it. I just I can't imagine it. And what was funny is Kelly Rippa, who is Andy's best friend, said the same thing, like there's no show without you, And that's Kelly fucking Rippa. Teresa disagree with me? If you if you, if you want to, David, I think Teresa is the number one. Oh shoot, you see me, David.

00:42:40
Speaker 2: You froze for a minute.

00:42:43
Speaker 1: I do now, Okay, I'll talk it over for me. I think Teresa is currently currently the most famous housewife on TV, the most famous. I think she's the most recognizable. And it's funny because I keep going back and forth because again I don't know what's going to happen. My expert opinion as a producer who worked on the Housewives and currently doing other reality shows, I just think it's a big mistake to not have Teresa on the show. I just I don't see it, and that means to me, if you removed Teresa, that means you're keeping Melissa right, And I just don't see me caring about a season that involves Melissa, Dolores, who is one percent coming back, and maybe Margaret. I just don't see it. So I would like to see Teresa, and I will say, Danielle.

00:44:05
Speaker 2: That's it.

00:44:05
Speaker 1: Huh, that's it. That's it. I think listen. I think Margaret maybe needs a break, a break, put on pause, Derenda Medley style and maybe come back. I think Melissa will always be a part of Bravo. I see Melissa doing so many other things with the network in Peacock. I don't see it for Rachel, honestly, I just I just don't see it. And I think Jennifer Aiden who I love, who I think is a top to her housewife. I just don't think they'll bring her back. I just I don't. I don't see that happening ever.

00:44:42
Speaker 2: I mean, I don't see it happening. I've said this on my show so many times that it just is what it is, and people are like, no, no, no, if you get rid of Jennifer, you have to get rid of Teresa. They were both doing it. I'm like, I get it, but that's not the way. How many people are sitting at a desk job right now in corporate America where you're reporting to someone that you know is younger than you, that started with you, that you think you have more Corporate America ain't fair. It just is what it is. So I don't see a world that we live in that Jennifer Aiden will be back. That's just my opinion. Yes she will. If we have to clean this mess up whatever Teresa was doing, whatever this one was doing, Jennifer Aden will take the fall for her and Teresa. If Teresa was allegedly doing all this, which I believe she was, it doesn't matter. I mean, it doesn't matter. And that's that is the thing. If Teresa weren't Teresa. I believe she'd be fired one hundred percent. But I don't know if all these bad things and liability and all this matters. I don't know. You know what the bottom line is, everybody that is in the Housewives should open a book right now. And whether you love her or hate her, Kyle Richards is the end, I don't know. She is the gold standard of what you should do as a housewife. You want to teach a master course, that is it. One hundred percent. I used to say Teresa is never going to be fired. I'm not so sure anymore. Kle Richards will never be fired. Barn never ever, barb never zero. I don't care if you love her hate her, it's never happening. She produces the show on air as we're watching it, calling someton over and saying, no, what just happened? And you were drunk and son's getting upset. It's like she is producing the show. Sign if she has to do this, this is this is the job. She's actually great at what she's doing right now. Amazing here that you were right. She is exactly what she brings it. And she cries and gets messy and has highs and lows and then goes home and doesn't care. I mean she this first sister, the second sister, the divorce. Yes, okay, now I agree. I don't know what really is going on with Morgan Wade or what happened, but it's not everything that Kyle brings. But let's just face it, there's probably nothing going on and it was all just like they know how to play the paparazzi game.

00:47:09
Speaker 1: The point is, I want to add one more to you, and I want you to finish, though you also have to add the David. She never ever, ever, ever, ever, ever talks any crap about production, the network, nothing. She doesn't blame editing, she doesn't blame producers. She she has never in her life ever said anything remotely close to anything negative about her employees. Like she she's the quintessential housewife in the sense of she's so grateful for the opportunity and not saying she's hiding stuff that they do. I'm not saying that. I'm just saying we all know that. Listen, when the when the when the going gets tough, what does the reality start do? Well? Uh, they added that in there. Okay, girl, we're watching the same show, beat it. She is so kind to work with. I know producers who work on belly Hills, they all say, David, she's a joy to work with.

00:48:22
Speaker 2: But continue, I believe it. I believe it. So I mean, that's the thing that you never see her. Ryeah. She'll make she'll do with this Amazon lives and someone will ask her. And she knows how to throw shade, but she'll never be there in the comments, clapping back and every now and the baby she slips off Mauricio and Morgan, but she doesn't take it off air. She does it. And when she says that, you know, Juriid exposed these texts and she said, I would never have done that, like I do believe it. Whatever the real stuff that's happening off air, she wouldn't bring it on air. And she's able to bring enough. And it's not even like I like bow down to her as like such a fan. But she is the way to do this show. She really is. She'll never be fired. You bring enough, and then you're light and fluffy, and now you're saying she's easy to work with it and then you just go home. And yes, she cries and has breakdowns, but she's not stewing in it. When the season's over, it's over and she's ready for the next season, and everything from the past season is left there. That's how to do it. That is the difference. That's how to do it right.

00:49:33
Speaker 1: No, one thousand percent right, one thousand percent right. So for all the housewives who are listening, yeah, or the pr of a housewife, the manager of a housewife, the friend of a housewife. David and I both agree on this one fact. Study the book of Kyle Richards if you want to study the book the.

00:49:56
Speaker 2: Yeah, and she's not going in every year. Who's gonna go and who's gonna stay? It's never Kyle. Kylee's never going anywhere. She does it really well. I mean there's others on Beverly Hills that are holds that they are pretty good too, But Kyle is to me, I think across every franchise the number one. So I don't know, I agree with you. I can see it could be such a great, fun, lighthearted ensemble show in New Jersey if Teresa weren't there. I mean, look, they let's just face it. Also, they gave Melissa Gordon an excellent edit this season. I mean she they You know, I'm not saying that she doesn't deserve it, but I'm just saying when they're saying hot dog lives and she's like making her face. Melissa was actually funny in her edit this season, and now she's doing a pose off and then what the hell happens when we're still talking about sprinkle cookies? But I mean she and yes, she says these things, but it's also a good edit. So look, they said it, so it could. But I like, you just can't envision a show being called The Real Housewives of New Jersey with Melissa and Gang. I just can't. And I think she had a great season. I enjoyed her this season more than Teresa. But I just like in your interview, sure Teresa was lovely because the same way Nini was lovely, but Teresa ain' have you ever watched Teresa's interviews? And I don't blame her. Your husband's deported. You know they're coming for your new husband you went to. I don't blame her, but she is like unpleasant to interviewers. Right to her. She's sitting there, you could feel the tension. She doesn't open her mouth and speak a full sentence right, because she's not comfortable. It's like their job to get so It's like, I think it could be a light, breezy, happy show with Melissa and company, but I just don't see it. I just think she's the one that I don't know if they can do it. I just don't know. Like, and there's no other show like that. Like, as great as Kyle is, we would all there's we wouldn't blink an eye, Lisa vander Pomp, Beverly Hills would go on with Erica and Dorit and Sutton at Garcel and two newbies without Kyle in a second. We wouldn't think twice. It wouldn't be strange. It's just it is weird that we have this in Jersey. It just is strange. It's a strange. I've never seen this before, and I really don't know what they're gonna do. Because the thing is, when you read a lot of the comments against Teresa and Louis, it's not like people are team Melissa. Nobody gives a fuck about Melissa. People actually hate Teresa. Now, there's a lot of tree huggers that love her, but I've never seen so many nests like this blogger thing with Melissa's all knows. I really do feel because I have seen a lot of comments. I used to love Teresa, Now I don't, So I don't know is that gonna take it? So then to go back to your point, yeah, I mean, is this the Louis effect? Did Louis single handedly come in here, like everyone says he's a narcissist, a tornado through and just take this whole damn house down behind the scenes. I don't know.

00:53:18
Speaker 1: Well, there's the thing I will say this, Teresa has the ability to give you a lighter season because we've seen it with when her and Jackal were friends. I think she needs to be surrounded by that. And I do think this, I think is what you said too. She's had a tough couple of years. Your husband gets supported, you went to jail, both your parents are deceased, you don't have a relationship with your only sibling, people don't like your husband, you have to defend him against these women on the show. I think she's just I think she's been dealt a very tough hand, and I think the one thing that used to be a pleasant distraction, which was the show, has now been the main source of negativity in her life. And that's why for me, I really really wish Jacqueline will come back, but she lives in California, because I do want to see her have fun again because she can. We used to see like her Jacqueline like stomp grapes and they were losing ethel And you know the thing is, Dolores does not bring that out out of her because I think Dolores is also and listen, Dolor's played her hand right as well. Dolores has emerged as like somebody who I even now I'm saying, like, I can't see the show without Dolores. I think the Laura's is a great Switzerland character. You need that. It's like Cynthia Bailey, like there's certain women who you need to play the middle of the road. But I'm I've never seen Teresa and Dolores have fun. I've seen Teresa and Joan Aiden have fun. But I think, like you, Jen Aiden isn't coming back unfortunately, so I don't know, but I definitely agree with you. I want to see something light. I want to see something fun. I wanna I just don't. I'm not interested anymore in seeing dark drama when it comes to the show because even when, like Danielle Stab was on the first two seasons and it was kind of dark, I think we all just just laughed, like, you know, like, but Caroline's like, you're a clown, and Danielle said, but you're the one wearing red hair, Like that's funny. You know, chasing Danielle down the country club is funny.

00:55:41
Speaker 2: You know, Danielle is an icon in her own Danielle Stab is an icon. I've said it before, I've said it on my podcast, I will say it on your podcast. I don't care what anyone says, but I do agree with you. If you look at people from the past, I feel it's not gonna happen. The only look I can tell you right now, anyone who is toxic from the past, whether they're a full time cast member or a friend of any toxicity, they ain't ever come in. Nope, if you go down the list of people that could truly come back, the only human being that gets the past is Jacqueline r It's just that simple. It's just there's nobody else. Do I think Kathy is is a toxic person. No, Kathy Wakille is a lovely person. With a wonderful family in a real life unfortunately, and I don't think she wants to come back, but you can't bring her back because Teresa, then what's the point. You might as well keep Melissa. I mean she'll go cuckoo, so that ain't happening. Anyone else is toxic. Like Danielle, I love her, but I mean that ain't happening. Jacqueline is literally if you take out that Wikipedia list where everyone is on there, she's truly the only person, full time friend of whatever it is, that can come back that is a non toxic, happy light person in for Teresa, She's the one. There's no one else.

00:57:03
Speaker 1: Yeah, I agree with one, but like you said, it remains to be seen. I don't think we'll know the faith for a couple of months. But what I will say is, when we find out you have to come back on my podcast, we could dissect it.

00:57:19
Speaker 2: I will come back. You're going to come on my podcast all the rain Drops and follow you over there and we'll do some jersey and we'll talk about everything else going on. And I hope Beverly Hills they say this year, later this year, it's going to be back. You'll come on way before that though, But yeah, yeah, yeah, you are you are you bring all bring your merch, bring anything you want to plug. We support all the plugs at Behind the Velvet Rope. You can come and plug whatever you want.

00:57:49
Speaker 1: I appreciate that. Love you so much, David. Tell the world they can find you, follow your support, your amazing top rated podcast.

00:57:57
Speaker 2: They can look for Behind the Velvet Rope on it, Apple, Spotify, wherever podcasts are found. Follow us on Instagram at behind Velvet Rope YouTube and just check in. We have conversations like this. You can listen to Melissa's old nos and you can make your own decision. That's what people don't. People drive themselves crazy listening to me because they're like, last week you said something mean against Margaret. Now you're saying something again, and I'm like, I don't have a side or a team. So if you're going to drive yourself crazy, so everyone listen, and if you are pro Teresa, you can disagree with everything Melissa's old nos said, and I'm all for that.
