<v Speaker 1>Hey, everybody, Welcome to Games Mornings with Me Jeff Greb,
<v Speaker 1>your host from giant bomb dot com. Thank you for
<v Speaker 1>tuning in. In this episode, we're gonna be talking about
<v Speaker 1>whether another Nintendo Direct is actually happening next week or not,
<v Speaker 1>and what should PlayStation fans expect from tomorrow's state of play.
<v Speaker 1>It's gonna be a good one because we have Jesse
<v Speaker 1>Norris on the show. Jesse, how are you doing?
<v Speaker 2>I'm very tired. How are you?
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, I'm good. I'm good, but I'm not over your
<v Speaker 1>rebranded or anything. I'm not. I don't have a lot
<v Speaker 1>going on. I'm fine. How about you?
<v Speaker 2>It is? It is a lot. It's been great.
<v Speaker 1>Tell what's going on and what what goes into this
<v Speaker 1>this change? Tell everyone like the.
<v Speaker 2>Basics first though, I mess it up for jan here,
<v Speaker 2>but I'm gonna show. Look, I've got all the consoles now.
<v Speaker 2>I mean I already before we were a website focused
<v Speaker 2>on Xbox first Xbox Era. We have finally after five
<v Speaker 2>years of really wanting to rebranded. A lot of people
<v Speaker 2>are like, you rebranded to day one to get away
<v Speaker 2>from Xbox, and It's like, no, I actually really wanted
<v Speaker 2>to get away from et cetera. Because they're awful.
<v Speaker 1>Sure right right? The era name, Okay, yeah, that makes sense.
<v Speaker 1>So what what's gone into it? I mean you said,
<v Speaker 1>you say your tire set's keeping you busy, Like I
<v Speaker 1>can't imagine like where it would be begin if like
<v Speaker 1>we were to rebrand or something like that. What all
<v Speaker 1>goes into that entirely?
<v Speaker 2>Changing the website from Xbox Era it's now Playday dot one.
<v Speaker 2>We're dropping Patreon and we're going to have our own
<v Speaker 2>memberships on there much like you guys do.
<v Speaker 1>And I am to deal.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, it is everything, brand new looks on every show,
<v Speaker 2>brand new website, built from scratch. I have no skill
<v Speaker 2>for art or for coding, so for me, it's mostly
<v Speaker 2>been trying to pick up the slack for John who's
<v Speaker 2>been on here before and pre Drag, who are just
<v Speaker 2>non stop working on everything. Changing the names legally, it's
<v Speaker 2>it's a lot, and there's more games than ever coming
<v Speaker 2>out to try and keep up with.
<v Speaker 1>Yep, absolutely, and you you've been keeping up with it.
<v Speaker 1>I know you've got a couple of games you're going
<v Speaker 1>to be reviewing this week, So that work normal work
<v Speaker 1>on top of the rebrand's gotta gotta be a lot.
<v Speaker 1>Is it exciting though, Is it like, Okay, finally we
<v Speaker 1>can like do the things that we've been planning to do,
<v Speaker 1>like you said for five years.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, some of the sheckles a bit of being always
<v Speaker 2>in that Console Wars thing, which, by the way, part
<v Speaker 2>of the rebrand. We also announced we are working within
<v Speaker 2>award winning UK developer on Console Wars the card game.
<v Speaker 1>The video game. Oh that's awesome.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, we were in the works. John's actually at Dice
<v Speaker 2>in Las Vegas right now, our site founder and the
<v Speaker 2>creator of the game, working on trying to make that
<v Speaker 2>more of a reality. So there's we always have like
<v Speaker 2>nine hundred irons in the fire, despite their only essentially
<v Speaker 2>being two full timers and a bunch of volunteers. I'm
<v Speaker 2>already at Jesus if you count the Fallout TV show.
<v Speaker 2>I think I'm at like ten reviews this year already,
<v Speaker 2>along side all the news we do, like, we do
<v Speaker 2>a lot of stuff, and we're trying to not change
<v Speaker 2>what we do. Like there still will be a big
<v Speaker 2>focus on Xbox because it's just what we've all used
<v Speaker 2>for a long time. We're just trying to add on
<v Speaker 2>top of it because we're very stupid and we like
<v Speaker 2>making life even harder.
<v Speaker 1>Mm hmm. Yeah, you do do a lot of reviews,
<v Speaker 1>that's said like your main thing you think? Like I said,
<v Speaker 1>would you consider yourself a reviewer? First?
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, I and our fake made up job titles.
<v Speaker 1>I don't have the card.
<v Speaker 2>I made a business card and it's as reviews editor
<v Speaker 2>and lead producer because I produced most of the live
<v Speaker 2>streats as well.
<v Speaker 1>So yeah, how do you feel about reviews these days?
<v Speaker 2>They're fun if you just treat them like fun, and
<v Speaker 2>a lot of the times when you're doing an embargoed review,
<v Speaker 2>you're not trying to spoil anything, so it is more
<v Speaker 2>it's very much an impressions piece and you can't dive
<v Speaker 2>into it. Like doing a Fallout. Reviews was really fun
<v Speaker 2>because I just treated those as complete episode recap breakdowns,
<v Speaker 2>go over everything because I can er game, because like
<v Speaker 2>the game I was talking to you about that I
<v Speaker 2>just finished. All the best parts of it are things
<v Speaker 2>you've got to go find for yourself. So I can
<v Speaker 2>point in a direction or say I like things, But
<v Speaker 2>trying to find a way to say that differently every
<v Speaker 2>time gets hard. Plus we do videos for most of
<v Speaker 2>our reviews, which makes them take like seven times longer,
<v Speaker 2>but is the most fun. It is very fun to
<v Speaker 2>video edit.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah. I did my first review in a while earlier
<v Speaker 1>this week for Mario Tennis Fever, and it's like, yeah,
<v Speaker 1>I remember this. Just basically people know the game. At
<v Speaker 1>this point, people, especially a game like Mario Tennis has
<v Speaker 1>been made over and over again. I could just say
<v Speaker 1>what it is and then immediately why I like it
<v Speaker 1>or why I don't like it, and that's that's you're right,
<v Speaker 1>it's fun. I enjoy doing that. I don't know if
<v Speaker 1>I would never have the time to do it the
<v Speaker 1>way you do your machine, but yeah, I definitely enjoyed
<v Speaker 1>occasionally dipping my toe back into that space. It's fun.
<v Speaker 1>It's fun to do. So all right, well good luck.
<v Speaker 1>It's playday dot one. That's where people should go. Yep.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, everything so like our is mostly all just day one,
<v Speaker 2>but the legal name is play day one because there's
<v Speaker 2>a calendar app called day when that already had it.
<v Speaker 2>So yeah, just go to www dot playday dot one.
<v Speaker 2>You can also go to the old stuff. It will
<v Speaker 2>always forward to the new stuff. Right, you've already got
<v Speaker 2>to save. It's fine, but yeah, we're it's all rolling out.
<v Speaker 2>We have a whole and as you guys now have
<v Speaker 2>a really nice custom made website, we will have a
<v Speaker 2>brand new custom made website with the big thing being
<v Speaker 2>no ads. If you're any tier of member from five
<v Speaker 2>bucks up so because it ads are the only way
<v Speaker 2>to survive a boy, do they ruin the experience?
<v Speaker 1>Oh yeah, yeah absolutely. All right, Well let's get into
<v Speaker 1>things and explain ourselves. We're Giant Bomb. Go to giant
<v Speaker 1>bomb dot com slush Do you want to become a
<v Speaker 1>premium member? You would do that if you are concerned
<v Speaker 1>with independent games media having a place to survive in
<v Speaker 1>this new ecosystem and ensuring that people at giant Bomb
<v Speaker 1>can continue doing the things that we like to do
<v Speaker 1>and things you like to see. If you are concerned
<v Speaker 1>about the way that the lands it has changed under
<v Speaker 1>corporate ownership, but you don't have to worry about that here.
<v Speaker 1>All you have to worry about is ensuring that that
<v Speaker 1>we have your support so that we can do what
<v Speaker 1>we like to do. The way to make that happen
<v Speaker 1>again is GiantBomb dot com slash Join. When you become
<v Speaker 1>a premium member, you get ad pre versions of the shows,
<v Speaker 1>of course, but you also get some extra goodies like
<v Speaker 1>grubs next premium, which I promise will go up today.
<v Speaker 1>I'll have more time stuffs out of town. It's made
<v Speaker 1>things pretty hectic. Greb's next premium will go up today.
<v Speaker 1>There was one last week and the week before that.
<v Speaker 1>But also you're gonna start getting shows like Nine Lives
<v Speaker 1>of Mister Mastopheles. Go check that out. We had the
<v Speaker 1>first episode go up for free for everybody on YouTube
<v Speaker 1>and on the website. But you can start catching the
<v Speaker 1>rest of those episodes going up every two weeks, going
<v Speaker 1>you know, not super far into the future, because he
<v Speaker 1>lost a lot of lives in that first episode, and
<v Speaker 1>I'll take some responsibility for that. You should watch the
<v Speaker 1>first couple of minutes to see the airs of my
<v Speaker 1>ways and you know whatever, that's Chuck's problem now. It's
<v Speaker 1>a lot of fun though, and we have other shows
<v Speaker 1>like that in the works. It's been a lot of
<v Speaker 1>fun to come up with that. Let us know what
<v Speaker 1>you think. Get in the forums. Go ahead, and the
<v Speaker 1>forums are free, but go join the website, join the forums.
<v Speaker 1>Let us know what you think. We really appreciate that.
<v Speaker 1>But yeah, become a premium member, it certainly helps. As
<v Speaker 1>far as this show goes most weekdays, I Jeff Grubb,
<v Speaker 1>will help piece your gaming life back together. That includes
<v Speaker 1>breaking news and maybe even some of our own original reporting.
<v Speaker 1>For all these topics, I'll get the input of a
<v Speaker 1>bona fide expert who will make me look smart. If
<v Speaker 1>you are watching live on twitch Welcome, you can always
<v Speaker 1>listen to the show later on podcast feeds by searching
<v Speaker 1>for Game Mess Mornings, or find the RSS feed on
<v Speaker 1>giant bomb dot com. You can also catch the show
<v Speaker 1>later with chapters and timestamps on YouTube. Hello YouTube. All right,
<v Speaker 1>we have a lot to get into, so let's start
<v Speaker 1>the Morning Mess with Nintendo Direct, apparently in third week
<v Speaker 1>of February with a three D Mario announcement according to rumors. Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>whatever this is for my Nintendo news. Let's go ahead
<v Speaker 1>and read what they've written here. Leakers attech Tobaccolo and Nashwheedel,
<v Speaker 1>who is generally considered to be unreliable but may have
<v Speaker 1>gotten a couple of things right, claim that we should
<v Speaker 1>expect a mainline Nintendo Direct on the third week of
<v Speaker 1>February that is not at all as the Nintendo Earth
<v Speaker 1>that is not all as the Nintendo director will apparently
<v Speaker 1>give us the first look at the next three D
<v Speaker 1>Mario title for the Nintendo Switch to It's been nearly
<v Speaker 1>ten years since we work grace with Super Mario Odyssey,
<v Speaker 1>but people always forget them. We also got a Bowser
<v Speaker 1>Fury as part of the re release of Super Mario
<v Speaker 1>three D World, so it could well be Mario's time
<v Speaker 1>to shine once again. This strikes me as desperate, hopium Jesse,
<v Speaker 1>what do you think?
<v Speaker 2>Yes, yeah, I think that the Insider game is full
<v Speaker 2>of guesswork and garbage, and if it's not from a
<v Speaker 2>handful of a few people that seem to get it
<v Speaker 2>right all the time. Annoyingly enough, Nick from our team
<v Speaker 2>is mostly accurate on Nintendo.
<v Speaker 1>Now yeah, over and over there now recently, I don't.
<v Speaker 2>Believe he's heard anything. I haven't asked him directly, but
<v Speaker 2>like none of the people who generally seem to have
<v Speaker 2>actually that's right, sources are saying this, and at that
<v Speaker 2>point I'm just like, yeah, probably not.
<v Speaker 1>And circumstantially it's just we had Tomodacci direct, we had
<v Speaker 1>the partner direct. A lot of third parties also are
<v Speaker 1>going to probably show up in that state of Play tomorrow,
<v Speaker 1>so it's like that's going to take some of the
<v Speaker 1>oxygen out the room for a Nintendo Direct. There is
<v Speaker 1>a Pokemon Day on February twenty seventh. There's all kinds
<v Speaker 1>of stuff happening. It's already been a very busy month.
<v Speaker 1>I think there's this sense though that people are like, well,
<v Speaker 1>you know, they got to announce some first party stuff
<v Speaker 1>here pretty soon. I don't know they will. We won't
<v Speaker 1>go into the summer without them saying something for sure.
<v Speaker 1>But I don't think it's that much of a rush either.
<v Speaker 1>They have some games for the immediate near future. The
<v Speaker 1>second half of the year maybe is a little barren,
<v Speaker 1>but there's plenty of time for them to get to
<v Speaker 1>that point. Uh yeah, I don't buy this. I don't
<v Speaker 1>think it's happening. I would love to be I would
<v Speaker 1>love to be wrong, and I would love for them
<v Speaker 1>to talk about a three D Mario, but I don't know.
<v Speaker 1>It doesn't doesn't seem likely, do you do You get
<v Speaker 1>the feeling like that's where this is coming from, that
<v Speaker 1>people are just kind of like getting antsy about the
<v Speaker 1>lineup of the switch to so far a bit.
<v Speaker 2>But also there there seems to be this undercurrent in
<v Speaker 2>the smaller leaker space where things really started to die
<v Speaker 2>off from people who had like one or two sources
<v Speaker 2>that were good.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah.
<v Speaker 2>I'm seeing it a lot for people who have YouTube
<v Speaker 2>channels that are like just throwing shit out there, and
<v Speaker 2>then the few people that actually know come out and say, nope, yep,
<v Speaker 2>it's it is a grifting living and it's a game
<v Speaker 2>I don't respect, so I always laugh when they're wrong,
<v Speaker 2>and it's just it's weird timing. It's almost as weird
<v Speaker 2>as Sony showing off Horizon and then announcing a state
<v Speaker 2>of play instead of just having it there. But whatever
<v Speaker 2>that that actually did happen Nintendo, though, Nintendo sticks to
<v Speaker 2>their guns, they stick to their schedules, and there are
<v Speaker 2>some people that know what's going on there, and unless
<v Speaker 2>those people are saying it, I generally just don't believe it.
<v Speaker 1>Yep. Yeah. And then the three D Mario aspect. I
<v Speaker 1>know it's not your favorite genre, but we.
<v Speaker 2>It's a mechanically amazing game. I'm just not that into
<v Speaker 2>collectithons though, if you can see behind me, I am
<v Speaker 2>now a proud switch to owner without a penny because
<v Speaker 2>one of our patrons just said, hey, by the way,
<v Speaker 2>their best buy near you, and I said, yeah, there's
<v Speaker 2>this one, and then these were all that pick up fantastic.
<v Speaker 2>That was his congratulations on going multi platform.
<v Speaker 1>Well listen, if you have one of those, you might
<v Speaker 1>as well play Donkey Kong Binanza that games. That game
<v Speaker 1>is still.
<v Speaker 2>Prison one I asked for. When he said, I was like,
<v Speaker 2>of all the things, like, I was pretty disappointed in
<v Speaker 2>what I've seen a Metroid Prime. I'm going to go
<v Speaker 2>Donkey Kong. But also I need a case to use
<v Speaker 2>that thing because that feels like crap when you hold it.
<v Speaker 1>Oh yeah, I understand. I've kicked I kicked the kickstand
<v Speaker 1>out and hold that and that helps a little bit.
<v Speaker 2>It's kind of well, he five me a couple of
<v Speaker 2>broke controllers, so it's mostly just going to be docked anyways.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, oh yeah, I know there's people that play with
<v Speaker 1>I just played entirely handheld, so I've I've come up
<v Speaker 1>with some strats. Yeah, hey, three D Mario is going
<v Speaker 1>to happen. At some point. We were kind of going over.
<v Speaker 1>I was talking to Mike last night about it. There's
<v Speaker 1>someone sent in a message being like, here's like the
<v Speaker 1>timeline where if it's by July of twenty twenty six,
<v Speaker 1>if there's no Mario game by then, it'll be the
<v Speaker 1>longest other than the NES, if you don't count the NES,
<v Speaker 1>which kind of like didn't have like that's before there
<v Speaker 1>was a precedent. Not counting the NES, it'll be the
<v Speaker 1>longest we've gone into a new Nintendo console without getting
<v Speaker 1>a new main Mario game. And I'd say, well, that's
<v Speaker 1>July is not happening, Like there's no way there's a
<v Speaker 1>new Mario game by July.
<v Speaker 2>Uh.
<v Speaker 1>But that that does like kind of light the fire
<v Speaker 1>a little. But it's like they will have to have
<v Speaker 1>that game event like sooner rather than later, right, But
<v Speaker 1>they just that team just had Bonanza. How long do
<v Speaker 1>you think they can go without a three D Mario
<v Speaker 1>on the switch to? It is?
<v Speaker 2>That is like the big question really on because the
<v Speaker 2>switch to has been a rocket chip to start. How
<v Speaker 2>long are they not affected by all the prices? We
<v Speaker 2>kind of be we might, I don't know if you
<v Speaker 2>bring it up later. Actually forgot to look at the showrunner.
<v Speaker 2>I'm very smart sor right, uh, but we just saw
<v Speaker 2>the steam decks like completely out of stock right now.
<v Speaker 1>I didn't prevent the rundown, but we should talk about that.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, Steam Deck is completely sold out in North America.
<v Speaker 2>The LCD has already gone now, both old units have
<v Speaker 2>nothing like the ram apocalypse seems to only be getting worse.
<v Speaker 2>How long can they keep their pricing where it is,
<v Speaker 2>because that is it is now. It is more expensive,
<v Speaker 2>but people are buying the hell out of it, But
<v Speaker 2>once you need to start converting more and more people.
<v Speaker 2>Like That's why we've seen such a different trend for
<v Speaker 2>them where they're really focused on cross gen in a
<v Speaker 2>way where they we just weren't even handing out deb
<v Speaker 2>kits to a lot because unless you were working on
<v Speaker 2>Switch one and let back Compat get it on the
<v Speaker 2>switch too. They didn't want people to feel left out.
<v Speaker 2>It seems like and is the next big three D
<v Speaker 2>Mario game just switched to like Bonanza was, because it
<v Speaker 2>has something that's just going to run like crap on
<v Speaker 2>previous gen and so they're just waiting because they're just
<v Speaker 2>trying to keep their one hundred million plus people on
<v Speaker 2>Switch one happy.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, I think Nintendo makes you know, a lot of
<v Speaker 1>these companies do, but especially in Nintendo kind of uses
<v Speaker 1>every sort of piece of the buffalo. So anytime they
<v Speaker 1>have any sort of direct or overall announcement, structure and plan,
<v Speaker 1>they want to make sure it all serves a bunch
<v Speaker 1>of different purposes. And you're right. I think one of
<v Speaker 1>the things that they are concerned with, like messaging and
<v Speaker 1>teaching consumers is, Hey, this thing might have to go
<v Speaker 1>up in price. The switch to that is and maybe
<v Speaker 1>we need to kind of keep Mario in waiting so
<v Speaker 1>it's ready to go, so we can justify that price
<v Speaker 1>increase at some point and make people go, look, it's
<v Speaker 1>more expensive, but you're going to get a new Mario.
<v Speaker 1>Isn't that You just watched that movie and you go,
<v Speaker 1>you people spend a billion dollars to watch that movie.
<v Speaker 1>You're still excited about Mario. You're going to pay the
<v Speaker 1>extra fifty bucks for the system to get that game.
<v Speaker 1>And it's like, Okay, they're probably thinking along those lines.
<v Speaker 1>I wouldn't be surprised as far as let's let's talk
<v Speaker 1>about that steam Deck right now. So the steam Deck
<v Speaker 1>sold out across the board in the United States. Only
<v Speaker 1>only in the United States. It's available in Canada, available
<v Speaker 1>to the rest of the world. That's so it's like
<v Speaker 1>to there, it sounds like it's a combination of the
<v Speaker 1>rampocalypse and tariffs, and it's like, oh, so the United
<v Speaker 1>States is especially bad to sell these kinds of products
<v Speaker 1>in right now that you know that, does that say
<v Speaker 1>price increase for the Steam deck coming up soon? Man?
<v Speaker 2>It does show that when it comes to like the
<v Speaker 2>Steam Machine and how into it people are, that Valve
<v Speaker 2>really isn't like a big player in hardware Nintendo is,
<v Speaker 2>Sony is to a lesser degree, Microsoft is, but there's
<v Speaker 2>still like an enormous company. So they've got a lot
<v Speaker 2>of push and they're all in retailers, right, so they're
<v Speaker 2>they are like the canary. They're like the first thing
<v Speaker 2>that goes as it starts working its way up to
<v Speaker 2>the bigger hitters. Because Sony's talked about they've got enough
<v Speaker 2>everything stockpiled through this year.
<v Speaker 1>Yes, well every said like six months, but yeah that
<v Speaker 1>was their fiscal year.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah yeah, yeah, well they said count they I think
<v Speaker 2>at one point it was also calendar year, Like Okay,
<v Speaker 2>they seem pretty confident. I could be wrong, but they
<v Speaker 2>seem pretty confident that it was six months.
<v Speaker 1>So it's like at least six months, I bet it's
<v Speaker 1>somewhere between six months and through the into the calendar year.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, and Microsoft is pretty much like, eh, we don't
<v Speaker 2>want to lose money on this, so we're just not
<v Speaker 2>going to make many. Nintendo is they've had the best
<v Speaker 2>stock that any console has ever had to begin with,
<v Speaker 2>so you'd have to imagine they're still pretty good for
<v Speaker 2>a little while, but eventually it's it's going to hit everything.
<v Speaker 2>And I know they've already up, like they're the frigging
<v Speaker 2>can controllers and the the oh my god, the just
<v Speaker 2>looking at a second dock is like one hundred and
<v Speaker 2>twenty five bucks or something. Yeah, it's nice, like it's
<v Speaker 2>already gone up there. I think the one thing a
<v Speaker 2>lot of them has realized is that they can't keep
<v Speaker 2>pushing game prices up. So holding on to a Mario
<v Speaker 2>in your back pocket for it's like, yeah, the consoles
<v Speaker 2>may be a little more expensive, but hey, you're gonna
<v Speaker 2>want a freaking Mario game. That's the type of type
<v Speaker 2>of move I could see them making. Hopefully they don't
<v Speaker 2>have to, but it does not seem great right now.
<v Speaker 1>I mean in the tariff's side of this, like the RAM,
<v Speaker 1>it's like this memory the chips like that is something
<v Speaker 1>that there's not a lot could be done about. The
<v Speaker 1>terriff situation is so you know, blows left and right
<v Speaker 1>on the whims of one insane man. And you know,
<v Speaker 1>the Supreme Court has not issued its final decision yet
<v Speaker 1>on on tariffs. It does really seem like they might
<v Speaker 1>come down and be like the President doesn't have these powers,
<v Speaker 1>especially the way he talks about it, where it was
<v Speaker 1>like he was talking to the president I don't know
<v Speaker 1>the exact title of Switzerland, and she was like, hey,
<v Speaker 1>these tariffs suck, and he's like she was I didn't
<v Speaker 1>like her attitudes. So instead of like a thirty percent tariff,
<v Speaker 1>I and she wanted to go down, I raised it
<v Speaker 1>to thirty nine percent. And it's like, so, what does
<v Speaker 1>that have to do with the powers that you're claiming
<v Speaker 1>you have to enact tariffs.
<v Speaker 2>Or Switzerland exactly.
<v Speaker 1>So it's like you you're just doing this because you
<v Speaker 1>want to. This is literally the best argument someone could
<v Speaker 1>make for why you shouldn't have these powers, and the
<v Speaker 1>Supreme Court could could come down that way. We should
<v Speaker 1>get a decision in June, and then that's like, you know,
<v Speaker 1>you still have to hope that the Supreme Court has
<v Speaker 1>some sanity left and comes down and says that you know,
<v Speaker 1>it says in the Constitution you don't have these powers.
<v Speaker 1>But do we care about that? And we don't know
<v Speaker 1>if they care about that. So that's still a deep
<v Speaker 1>uncertainty and uncertainty we know is poisoned at these companies.
<v Speaker 1>And so yep, you raise the price right now while
<v Speaker 1>you still can justify it for all of those reason
<v Speaker 1>and then if things break good for you on the
<v Speaker 1>other side of that, you have the opportunity to lower
<v Speaker 1>prices later if you want. You probably won't.
<v Speaker 2>Maybe that's about it, not maybe right.
<v Speaker 1>Maybe occasional discounts, right exactly. So it's like, oh, things
<v Speaker 1>are just going to keep getting worse for us for now,
<v Speaker 1>especially in the United States, and not primarily but like
<v Speaker 1>at least fifty percent of it due to no one's
<v Speaker 1>fault but our own for for who we elected. So yeah,
<v Speaker 1>I don't envy any of these companies. I have to
<v Speaker 1>figure out hardware. I don't figure I don't envy anyone
<v Speaker 1>on the teams at PlayStation and Microsoft trying to figure
<v Speaker 1>out their next gen hardware plans and how to message
<v Speaker 1>those things, how to make them sound and feel special.
<v Speaker 1>It sounds like Xbox has some idea of like we're
<v Speaker 1>changing things up completely for the PlayStation six to sort
<v Speaker 1>of be the next one in that line. That's going
<v Speaker 1>to be such a hard one to be, Like, here's
<v Speaker 1>a game that couldn't run up PS five and so yeah,
<v Speaker 1>I bet it could. I bet it couldn't.
<v Speaker 2>Well, if they're doing a handheld that is, yes, because
<v Speaker 2>the handhaker is likely mostly about PS four, maybe some
<v Speaker 2>PS five because even like low power mode as amos
<v Speaker 2>still like one hundred and ten watts, that's not useful
<v Speaker 2>for a handheld.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, I mean, they'll they will do low five versions
<v Speaker 1>of the PS file. They will. They will make as
<v Speaker 1>many of those games run on that thing as possible,
<v Speaker 1>and it'll be just fine and not everything obviously.
<v Speaker 2>But in the way they do it, it'll be you
<v Speaker 2>have to patch it, and you can patch of course, yeah,
<v Speaker 2>then even lower and then it works. But then that
<v Speaker 2>means it's it's a mess of what works and what
<v Speaker 2>doesn't work.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, but it's like that's a that's a problem that
<v Speaker 1>they're going to just figure out because that's like the
<v Speaker 1>one card they have to play to kind of make
<v Speaker 1>that next gin feel a little bit different.
<v Speaker 2>If you have the an Xbox Series X or a
<v Speaker 2>PlayStation five or Series S or a Switch to, you're
<v Speaker 2>probably gonna have games for them for a decade to
<v Speaker 2>fifteen years.
<v Speaker 1>All right, Well, let's keep going here. Leaker claims we Nintendo,
<v Speaker 1>Nintendo DS and Sigacity are coming to Nintendo Switch Online.
<v Speaker 1>This is for my Nintendo News video game Leaker special Nick,
<v Speaker 1>but it's been rather hit and miss at leaks. It
<v Speaker 1>stated that listens no, not with Nintendo Leaks. I disagree
<v Speaker 1>with this mind of news. Uh that they just.
<v Speaker 2>Rumors subreddit and we're like, we hate that guy exactly.
<v Speaker 1>The there's nothing to be said. Reputation on the internet
<v Speaker 1>doesn't mean anything.
<v Speaker 2>People we love to crap on Nick, but he has
<v Speaker 2>been annoyingly accurate on Nintendo.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, and it's uh. People create these characters in their
<v Speaker 1>head and it has nothing to do with the reality
<v Speaker 1>of the person usually. Uh. He has stated that we,
<v Speaker 1>Nintendo DS and Segacy D will be coming to the
<v Speaker 1>Nintendo Classics range for Nintendo Switch on lines just online subscribers.
<v Speaker 1>WE and DS will naturally come, but Segacy D games
<v Speaker 1>could be a nice extension of the current Sega Mega
<v Speaker 1>Drive range currently available on Nintendo Classics. Nick says a
<v Speaker 1>WE remote peripheral for WE games won't need a WE
<v Speaker 1>censor bar to be used, which is handy if true. Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>I it does feel like this is going to happen.
<v Speaker 1>I I agree with this that that's the kind of
<v Speaker 1>stuff where we've heard for a while. DS was like
<v Speaker 1>they were thinking about something with a DS. What that
<v Speaker 1>actually ends up looking like, we'll see. But the WE stuff,
<v Speaker 1>they have a game cubeimulator, they'll be able to figure
<v Speaker 1>out WE pretty easily on top of that, and then
<v Speaker 1>Segacity is like a fun addition that's like a clever
<v Speaker 1>one to add in there and their.
<v Speaker 2>Place like Hideo kojimas Snatcher.
<v Speaker 1>Hopefully you could play Willy Beamish right, everyone loves you?
<v Speaker 1>Should you should? Probably not, because you'll be spending most
<v Speaker 1>of your time waiting for load times, although I'm sure
<v Speaker 1>they'll speed those up. Yeah, I'm I'm all for this.
<v Speaker 1>I like Nintendo switch Online, but I'm a Nintendo homer,
<v Speaker 1>so that makes sense. I don't know. Does this? Does
<v Speaker 1>reading this do anything for you?
<v Speaker 2>No? Finally, yes, because I joined Nick's family account, So.
<v Speaker 1>Okay, we're going to get them marg Yeah, all right,
<v Speaker 1>good stuff. Yeah. I think uh WE is one where
<v Speaker 1>I was like, I'm curious if they'll add that to
<v Speaker 1>Nintendo Switch Online or if they'll do like a WE Many,
<v Speaker 1>because I feel like they did like a standalone WE
<v Speaker 1>Mini that just had a couple of those WEI games,
<v Speaker 1>especially WE Sports. They could sell that thing to a
<v Speaker 1>bunch of old folks homes again and like it would
<v Speaker 1>it would crush. They might still end up doing that,
<v Speaker 1>but kind of step it back. It's like, oh yeah,
<v Speaker 1>they Nintendo Switch Online seems pretty important to them. All
<v Speaker 1>these companies really like that subscriber money and continuing to
<v Speaker 1>add to that is very important to ensure that when
<v Speaker 1>that comes time to renew. At that time when they
<v Speaker 1>first introduced it and they got the big influx of
<v Speaker 1>people joining the the NSO subscription in the first place,
<v Speaker 1>well right around that time, announcing something like this is
<v Speaker 1>the kind of thing you would do to be like, Okay,
<v Speaker 1>now we're gonna get a bunch of new people and
<v Speaker 1>ensure that all those people that we already have resubscribe.
<v Speaker 1>And it's it's like if it wasn't we DS And
<v Speaker 1>then you know, working with their partners at Sega, what
<v Speaker 1>would it be And it's like turbographics and it's like
<v Speaker 1>that doesn't move the needle all that much, right, So
<v Speaker 1>these are the ones that feel plausible and and like
<v Speaker 1>they do move the needle. And also now we're here
<v Speaker 1>into that that it's that it's likely. Is there anything
<v Speaker 1>else they could add to nso that would have as
<v Speaker 1>much of an effect as like we in ds.
<v Speaker 2>Man christ I don't think so, because when you think
<v Speaker 2>of what they would go back to, like because they could, No,
<v Speaker 2>you can't really. I mean, the WEU is a very
<v Speaker 2>specific thing in the way it worked, and they've already
<v Speaker 2>poorted most of the most the most anyways, Yep, Yeah,
<v Speaker 2>I am curious because like with everything, I imagine it's
<v Speaker 2>a subscription price they wanted to go up eventually, so
<v Speaker 2>these might be some of the biggest hitters to get
<v Speaker 2>that in a timely manner.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, they've raised the price of their games and they've
<v Speaker 1>not raised the price of their subscription since they introduced it.
<v Speaker 1>Is that, right, chat? You can help me out there,
<v Speaker 1>But I don't know. I don't think they have I
<v Speaker 1>think it's still twenty and fifty and it was twenty
<v Speaker 1>and fifty when they both when they introduced each tier,
<v Speaker 1>the introduced each one separately. It feels like that is.
<v Speaker 2>Uh, their party chat has finally caught up to like
<v Speaker 2>two generations ago. So if they get last generation, very exciting,
<v Speaker 2>gonna have to double it. Almost five frames per second,
<v Speaker 2>you know, double that. You got double digit frames per
<v Speaker 2>second on those camera feeds. A lot of bandwidth.
<v Speaker 1>Uh yeah, Chief Magic Tech says, I don't think so.
<v Speaker 1>Don't think that they've raised the price.
<v Speaker 2>Sacy though, says it went up in Canada. Yeah.
<v Speaker 1>Colonel Center says, think they increased in some markets, all right,
<v Speaker 1>so it'll probably go up in the US here pretty soon. Then,
<v Speaker 1>to catch up, let's take a break. We get through
<v Speaker 1>the first two stories here, Let's take a break. There's
<v Speaker 1>plenty more to talk about, including what to expect from
<v Speaker 1>that state of play. If you want to skip out
<v Speaker 1>on these ads, you can do so. Just go to
<v Speaker 1>johnbomb dot com, slash join and become a premium member.
<v Speaker 1>Find the ad reversion of the video and audio show there.
<v Speaker 1>In the meantime, we will be right back. We're back
<v Speaker 1>Game as Mornings. Jesse Norris, Jeff Grubb, Marvel's Wolverine seemingly
<v Speaker 1>won't be at tomorrow's state of play. This is from
<v Speaker 1>Ben Lyons at Game Reactor, with an hour's worth of
<v Speaker 1>state of Play broadcast to consume tomorrow evening. One might
<v Speaker 1>assume that many first party PlayStation games will be served up,
<v Speaker 1>particularly with a focus on projects coming in twenty twenty
<v Speaker 1>six So surely Marvel's Wolverine will be a key player,
<v Speaker 1>right Seemingly not. When queried about when we'll see Marvel's Wolverine,
<v Speaker 1>developer Insomniac Games as stated that it is sticking to
<v Speaker 1>its Spring twenty twenty sixth timeline, which it previously said
<v Speaker 1>meaning mid February. State of play doesn't align with that
<v Speaker 1>at all. Perhaps this implies that another state of play
<v Speaker 1>will happen in a month or two that is dedicated
<v Speaker 1>to Wolverraine. That sounds very likely.
<v Speaker 2>May they always have one at the end of May, right?
<v Speaker 1>Usually? Yeah, yeah, they do, you know, they have one,
<v Speaker 1>a bigger one sometimes kind of going into that into May,
<v Speaker 1>going into that June timeline for Summer Games Fest into
<v Speaker 1>Summer Game Fest, yes, exactly. Perhaps this implies that done
<v Speaker 1>to have similarly to what we've seen with the past
<v Speaker 1>for Ghost of Yota, and Borderlands for as it is,
<v Speaker 1>We're expecting Wolverine to launch sometime in autumn of twenty
<v Speaker 1>twenty six on PS five, although this has yet to
<v Speaker 1>be confirmed. I'm hopeful. I think it's supposed to.
<v Speaker 2>Probably it would avoid November, so October September.
<v Speaker 1>What do you think then will be at this hour
<v Speaker 1>long state of play? Hour plus state of play?
<v Speaker 2>I'm curious. They've already shown Marathon and Sarah's a few times.
<v Speaker 2>You think they'll probably be there? Phantom Blade zero has
<v Speaker 2>its release date in September.
<v Speaker 1>I think so far, I thumbs up to all these.
<v Speaker 1>I agree. I think Tokon will get a big up.
<v Speaker 2>Tokon leaked themselves on Steam by mistake with their character
<v Speaker 2>counting stuff, so that seems like a.
<v Speaker 1>Lock a lot.
<v Speaker 2>They've got a pretty good year this year from what
<v Speaker 2>we know already, so it will be interesting to see
<v Speaker 2>if the god a war thing shows up. I know,
<v Speaker 2>uh Shanobi and Nate the Hate. We're going back and
<v Speaker 2>forth about the Corey Barlog sci fi game at Sony
<v Speaker 2>Santa Monica.
<v Speaker 1>Mostly like not there, but I don't think that one
<v Speaker 1>will be there. I yes, yeah, that one's not going
<v Speaker 1>to be at the state of play. Koach of Madies
<v Speaker 1>I saw this this morning, Jimmy H Christmas Eve says
<v Speaker 1>Kojima is editing another trailer. I think we're getting death
<v Speaker 1>straining to director's cut and or the PC port or
<v Speaker 1>just an update some sort of like any anything's possible.
<v Speaker 1>But he's he was had a timeline that he posted
<v Speaker 1>to like Instagram or some shit today.
<v Speaker 2>So he keeps saying, like, I really want to edit.
<v Speaker 2>I love editing. He does edit because of these stupid
<v Speaker 2>video games.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, I have a.
<v Speaker 2>Delivery out the door, so I'll be right back.
<v Speaker 1>I can't leave it. No, I understand, go get it
<v Speaker 1>completely as far as I'm concerned. So yeah, I think
<v Speaker 1>Token leaked. That's the lock marathon. Feels like that's got
<v Speaker 1>to happen because someone pointed out this is the last
<v Speaker 1>time that Sony is going to have like a showcase
<v Speaker 1>or state of play before that game is out, so
<v Speaker 1>it's like that is necessary. Beyond that, I will say
<v Speaker 1>that the word going around from a lot of people
<v Speaker 1>is that it's weirdly quiet. It is weirdly quiet from Sony,
<v Speaker 1>and that is part of what I've heard recently that
<v Speaker 1>Sony's really locked things down, they become very good at
<v Speaker 1>keeping these secrets. But you know, I bet they'll have
<v Speaker 1>a handful of surprises, maybe maybe two three surprises from them.
<v Speaker 1>That means the bulk of this is still going to
<v Speaker 1>be third party though.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, there's a rumor about a sequel to a beloved franchise.
<v Speaker 2>I want spoil it for people there. It will be
<v Speaker 2>interesting because most of what we know they were working
<v Speaker 2>on was either things we've already talked about or live
<v Speaker 2>service stuff canceled. Like I don't blue Point would be
<v Speaker 2>deep enough into or d would have anything.
<v Speaker 1>Blue Point might have. Bluepoint could have a like a
<v Speaker 1>teaset like at the most, like a logo for what
<v Speaker 1>they're working on. At most, I would.
<v Speaker 2>Expect fair Games, right, fair Games.
<v Speaker 1>This fair Games show up here is that one where
<v Speaker 1>it's like they kind of wait until Marathon gets out
<v Speaker 1>of their system and then they reassess, because you know,
<v Speaker 1>the last time we heard about fair Games, and I
<v Speaker 1>think this was reporting, was that, uh, They're like, okay,
<v Speaker 1>we're not canceling it, but also we're not not going
<v Speaker 1>to cancel it. Jay Raymond's gone, yeah, right, that happened.
<v Speaker 1>That happened. And then sort of in the wake of that,
<v Speaker 1>it was like, okay, so what's the future of this thing?
<v Speaker 1>And it's like it sounded like they were just biding
<v Speaker 1>their time before. It's like the dollar sign. They did
<v Speaker 1>drop the dollar sign, didn't they. That's officially Yeah, that's
<v Speaker 1>just weakness. That's Eticett's cowardice. I still think sixty minutes.
<v Speaker 1>I don't think a ton of that's going to be
<v Speaker 1>first party. It'll be four to five games or first party.
<v Speaker 1>Maybe they do have an extended look at Marathon to
<v Speaker 1>be like, no, we really believe in this game now.
<v Speaker 2>Because there there's a ton of leaks from a event
<v Speaker 2>in China of people playing it and yep, talking about
<v Speaker 2>it because nda is don't mean anything.
<v Speaker 1>So those are will make believe.
<v Speaker 2>What do you think more first party games or more
<v Speaker 2>psv R two games?
<v Speaker 1>More more first party games? I don't. I don't think
<v Speaker 1>PSVR two even comes up. I don't. I think we're
<v Speaker 1>I think we're past that. I don't think PSVR two
<v Speaker 1>is a going concern. Would I love to be surprised.
<v Speaker 1>I would be shocked if that weren't toadset. Yeah, it's
<v Speaker 1>great technology, absolutely, and you know there's always the possibility
<v Speaker 1>that Alex finally goes to PSVR two. It's a shocking
<v Speaker 1>it hasn't yet.
<v Speaker 2>I'm guessing what the steam frame coming?
<v Speaker 1>No, exactly. At this point, the steam frame is the
<v Speaker 1>first concern for Alex. So it's well the third party,
<v Speaker 1>What the hell? What is going to fill out the
<v Speaker 1>rest of this show? And there it's like I could start,
<v Speaker 1>like all these rumors we've heard for years, this is
<v Speaker 1>where we finally see it Castlevania, Right, finally, this is
<v Speaker 1>where we're going to see Castlevania. No idea, but I
<v Speaker 1>would love that to be tried.
<v Speaker 2>They still called it a state of play, even though
<v Speaker 2>it's an hour long, which is weird like that, you
<v Speaker 2>think when it's that big and long, it might they
<v Speaker 2>might finally you know, it's that big and long showcase,
<v Speaker 2>right yeah, yeah, Why wouln't you call it a showcase?
<v Speaker 2>Why is it still just a state of play? Because
<v Speaker 2>I guess maybe showcases for them are only September. Yeah
<v Speaker 2>maybe logically internal.
<v Speaker 1>I mean, they've had SEPTEMBERI and they've had him in
<v Speaker 1>June during late May. That's when they've done the showcases.
<v Speaker 1>And then they've not done a showcase since the PS fives.
<v Speaker 2>Like Wolveran and Spider Man two to one is the
<v Speaker 2>last one.
<v Speaker 1>I remember that was one years ago, right years, like
<v Speaker 1>literally years, So it's like they might just be done
<v Speaker 1>with those and it's all just state of places and
<v Speaker 1>so that's why they're not making no distinction anymore.
<v Speaker 2>Well, they've had enough content for them, like, but they
<v Speaker 2>always it out like, yeah, we'll just do a bunch
<v Speaker 2>of small things instead of one longer one. They're barely
<v Speaker 2>at things like summer games, faster games, calm anymore. It's
<v Speaker 2>been it's been interesting to see the internal ships where
<v Speaker 2>for how big their first party was last Gen and
<v Speaker 2>it can still put out some amazing games, like it
<v Speaker 2>just has not been the same. But it also it
<v Speaker 2>really feels like and if you look at their financials,
<v Speaker 2>they really have pulled back on the budgets a lot,
<v Speaker 2>and some of the first budgets to go are like marketing.
<v Speaker 2>Oh yeah, so it will be interesting to see if
<v Speaker 2>they ever get back into that swing of things.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah. Yeah, I think they're like our state of plays
<v Speaker 1>is how we pay for marketing, which is pretty cheap
<v Speaker 1>for them, so and it is effective. They get a
<v Speaker 1>lot of people watching these things and then they can
<v Speaker 1>let the media and creators kind of do the work
<v Speaker 1>for them, and we do when we talk about these
<v Speaker 1>things kind of like just look at through chat here
<v Speaker 1>at least on Twitch real quick. I go back and
<v Speaker 1>forth everybody. I used to be able to like look
<v Speaker 1>at both YouTube and Twitch at the same time. Now
<v Speaker 1>each day I'll go back and forth. So tomorrow I'll
<v Speaker 1>be looking at YouTube chat. Uh yeah. People are like, oh,
<v Speaker 1>the Venom game, I know because they with Wolraine's not
<v Speaker 1>showing up here, They're not going to talk about Venom
<v Speaker 1>yet if that is even still something that will happen,
<v Speaker 1>which I'm I'm still thinking it might, but not yet.
<v Speaker 1>A Siphon Filter remake, probably not, although who knows what
<v Speaker 1>Blue Point is gonna end up doing. Trying to see
<v Speaker 1>if like people have any third party guesses blue Point.
<v Speaker 2>It's like nothing for like nine years at this point.
<v Speaker 1>Which is yeah, I mean they had that, you know
<v Speaker 1>what what what was the thing that they were making.
<v Speaker 2>It was a military online shooter, wasn't it.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, But they didn't they weren't. Weren't they working on
<v Speaker 1>some live service, uh spin off of like not God
<v Speaker 1>of War was it?
<v Speaker 2>It was blue Point? Blue Point was on I was
<v Speaker 2>like going a bend on my right, right right, the
<v Speaker 2>bees got me and was on like an online military shooter.
<v Speaker 2>Blue Point was on a God of War.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, live service sort of thing. Yeah that and then
<v Speaker 1>they that got canceled. Thank god, who wanted that? And
<v Speaker 1>uh now now they've only had a couple of years
<v Speaker 1>to like shift over to whatever they're working on. Now
<v Speaker 1>it's like again, if they do show up, I think
<v Speaker 1>that is a logo at most Okay, let's see. Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>and then a lot of a lot of other people
<v Speaker 1>are hoping for, like crash five. G t A.
<v Speaker 2>Strauss said they're going to ramp up marketing in the
<v Speaker 2>summer because even GTA it needs to be closer to
<v Speaker 2>coming out. Nowadays, you just can't do the six to
<v Speaker 2>nine months of.
<v Speaker 1>Marketing disruptive to the studio. Yeah, because all that stuff
<v Speaker 1>requires time and attention and assets.
<v Speaker 2>And people attentions. It's too much to pay.
<v Speaker 1>Attention, it's not worth it, and it's expensive to do,
<v Speaker 1>and it's disrupted to the developer. There's a ton of
<v Speaker 1>reasons why marketing schedules have compressed.
<v Speaker 2>And before two weeks after is your main thing, and
<v Speaker 2>then a table after. But it's it's very close to launch.
<v Speaker 1>Things things start longer, things start happening about two months
<v Speaker 1>before in the BI I guess case scenarios these days. Okay,
<v Speaker 1>let's keep going here. A new Silent Hill Transmission presentation
<v Speaker 1>is coming this week with new info on Silent Hill
<v Speaker 1>town Fall. This is from Chris Sculli and FVGC. Konami
<v Speaker 1>has announced that a new Silent Hill Transmission presentation will
<v Speaker 1>take place later this week. According to Konami, presentation will
<v Speaker 1>reveal the latest updates from the Silent Hill series, with
<v Speaker 1>a particular focus on Silent Hill Town Fall. The transmission
<v Speaker 1>will take place on Thursday, February twelve at four pm.
<v Speaker 1>That goes right into the State of Play, right, that's
<v Speaker 1>like literally like an hour before the State of Place.
<v Speaker 1>Oh no, wait, this is after.
<v Speaker 2>Well no, it's what's the time?
<v Speaker 1>Sorry? Completely four pm Pacific time, seven pm Eastern, So
<v Speaker 1>this will be a little bit after the State of Play.
<v Speaker 2>So we'll probably see it at the State of Play.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, I probably see it at the State of Play exactly. Okay,
<v Speaker 1>Given that PlayStation has already announced the State of Play
<v Speaker 1>presentation for the same day, this means the Silent Hill
<v Speaker 1>transmission will take place roughly an hour after the state
<v Speaker 1>of play ends. Town Fall is the last of four
<v Speaker 1>Silent Hill projects that were announced during a Silent Hill
<v Speaker 1>transmission back in twenty twenty two October, And that's longer
<v Speaker 1>than I realized it was. Way back in twenty twenty two,
<v Speaker 1>that presentation, designed to mark the return of the Silent
<v Speaker 1>Hill series as a going concern, announced a remake of
<v Speaker 1>Silent Hill two, a jap Japan themed entry called Silent
<v Speaker 1>Hill f Or Silent Health, and streaming series Silent Heill Ascension,
<v Speaker 1>which everyone loves, as well as a short teaser for
<v Speaker 1>Silent Held Townfall. While Ascension was critically panned, both the
<v Speaker 1>Silent Hill two remake and Health were praised by critics
<v Speaker 1>and fans alike. Townhall is being published by Anna Pirna
<v Speaker 1>and Konami and is being developed by Scottish studio Screenburn,
<v Speaker 1>formerly known as No Code, which previously released Stories Untold
<v Speaker 1>and Observation, both of which were published by published by
<v Speaker 1>Devolver Digital. Yeah, that's one where it's like it did
<v Speaker 1>not stick out to me at the time because I
<v Speaker 1>don't think we saw a lot of information about it,
<v Speaker 1>Like we didn't get a lot of details, but it
<v Speaker 1>was like Anna Perna is working on this one, and
<v Speaker 1>they're working with the people that did Observation, which is
<v Speaker 1>kind of like a spooky sci fi game to my memory,
<v Speaker 1>and I played a little bit of it. Maybe Oh okay, yeah,
<v Speaker 1>I'm ready to see more. Do you think that they
<v Speaker 1>just focus on this or do they begin teasing what's
<v Speaker 1>next next for Silent Now.
<v Speaker 2>They've already talked about their work that I think blueber
<v Speaker 2>Team has strayed to because of the way the rules
<v Speaker 2>are in Poland you just have to say sometimes. And
<v Speaker 2>they're doing Silent Hill one remake, so maybe we see
<v Speaker 2>that it might be a little early after just getting
<v Speaker 2>Chronos done. But it also they're I think they're fairly big,
<v Speaker 2>so it could have been worked on in tandem.
<v Speaker 1>Yep, I'll watch this. I'm glad that Silenthill seems to
<v Speaker 1>be delivering. The fan base has not done their normal
<v Speaker 1>thing of like spending most of the time sort of
<v Speaker 1>whining about the games. They seem like they're just kind
<v Speaker 1>of enjoying them, which is weird for this that's like,
<v Speaker 1>oh my god, Knama's kind of figured it out a
<v Speaker 1>little bit. I'm sure there's still problems here and there,
<v Speaker 1>But that's got to be like, Okay, this company that
<v Speaker 1>has this property that a lot of people deeply love,
<v Speaker 1>they seem to understand how to treat it now, and
<v Speaker 1>that's that's new for that fan base. So I think
<v Speaker 1>that this transmission maybe can continue to deliver on that
<v Speaker 1>promise and we'll see, we'll see what town Fall looks like.
<v Speaker 1>At this point, it feels like because they have Blueber
<v Speaker 1>working on those remakes, and because Health Was was so
<v Speaker 1>well received and was like just a little bit different
<v Speaker 1>but still kind of kept the spirit of those games,
<v Speaker 1>it feels like town Fall has the potential to be
<v Speaker 1>like and here's another thing that Silent Hill can be,
<v Speaker 1>and people will go, we're okay with this now because
<v Speaker 1>we feel very reassured that these other versions of Silent
<v Speaker 1>Hill that we are deeply attached to are going to
<v Speaker 1>keep happening over there. So, yeah, what are your expectations
<v Speaker 1>for this?
<v Speaker 2>I as someone who absolutely adored Silent Hill, f quite
<v Speaker 2>enjoyed Silent Hill to remake, I'm all for it.
<v Speaker 1>Good.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, As a as a franchise, it was it was
<v Speaker 2>on the downward trend for a long time, so seeing
<v Speaker 2>it immediately bounce back up like this shows that they've
<v Speaker 2>really put a lot of thought and effort into it.
<v Speaker 2>So yeah, I'm coming into it feeling positive.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, crazy about Maybe I was thinking observe of observer
<v Speaker 1>as well, like I always mix those up. Observer and
<v Speaker 1>observation are different games. Okay. Uh po Copia previews are out.
<v Speaker 1>It sounds very promising, like things are sounding like this
<v Speaker 1>game might hit hard. Uh So I kind of was.
<v Speaker 1>I did a real quick consensus here, kind of looked
<v Speaker 1>at some talked to some friends who played it. Middler
<v Speaker 1>over at VGC was singing its prices to me.
<v Speaker 2>Beguest friend who played it.
<v Speaker 1>Yes, the biggest friend and the biggest Pokemon fan, both
<v Speaker 1>in stature and in emotional attachment to Pokemon. Middler's into it.
<v Speaker 1>Omega Force did the dragon Quest Builder games, and it
<v Speaker 1>sounds like they are bringing that same juice to this
<v Speaker 1>so early hands on previews describe Pocopia as a cozy
<v Speaker 1>core masterpiece, just an incredible genre that successfully blends the
<v Speaker 1>social simulation of animal crossing with the creative building depth
<v Speaker 1>of Dragon Quest Builders. Critics are calling it a refreshing
<v Speaker 1>departure from the traditional RPG formula. The protect players control
<v Speaker 1>a Ditto that has taken on a human form, which
<v Speaker 1>is also just incredible. While you can customize your appearance previews,
<v Speaker 1>note that characters retain Ditto's iconic dot eyes, providing a
<v Speaker 1>humorous touch to the avatar. Instead of catching Pokemon in
<v Speaker 1>the wild, you build specialized environments to lure them to
<v Speaker 1>your island. For example, placing a punching bag near a
<v Speaker 1>bench might attract them a chop Jesse, is this Aviva pinata?
<v Speaker 1>It is? Let's go what a good idea. I love this.
<v Speaker 1>I'm very excited about this possible. I went, I rushed
<v Speaker 1>to get it on Fantasy Critic, jam were you the
<v Speaker 1>one that got it? Instead? Someone already got it in
<v Speaker 1>our Fantasy Critic And I was pretty upset, motherfucker. I
<v Speaker 1>am looking forward to kind of seeing more people are gonna, like,
<v Speaker 1>the public's gonna get a chance to play this this
<v Speaker 1>weekend at the European Pokemon Championships. I don't know if
<v Speaker 1>that's what it's sactually keep getting on a plane, Yeah
<v Speaker 1>I'm not. I'm gonna stay at home and just let
<v Speaker 1>the let the freaks over there tell me what's going
<v Speaker 1>on the freaks for the game freak. But yeah, when
<v Speaker 1>you hear all this as someone who I have no
<v Speaker 1>idea what your relationship is to Pokemon, what do you think?
<v Speaker 2>I played the game Boy version for three hours and
<v Speaker 2>thought this was neat mm hmm. That's meant about it.
<v Speaker 2>This version of it definitely sounds a little more up
<v Speaker 2>my alley as a a big Viva Pinata fan. And
<v Speaker 2>also I love van of Dragon Quest Builders, like I
<v Speaker 2>would trust that deb to find the fun in shifting
<v Speaker 2>genres for an ip because they're real good at it.
<v Speaker 2>So everything you have said sounds good. And now that
<v Speaker 2>I actually have one of these things, maybe it'll be
<v Speaker 2>my Maybe it'll be my first review for it.
<v Speaker 1>Unlike Animal Crossing, the world is fully destructible and reconstructible.
<v Speaker 1>It uses voxels, so that's cool. That's similar to Dragon
<v Speaker 1>Quest Builders as well. Previews from a Mega Force collaborators
<v Speaker 1>highlight the polished, intuitive nature of the building tools. The
<v Speaker 1>game is set on it to deserted island where humans
<v Speaker 1>have vanished, while the tone is relaxing previously just a
<v Speaker 1>deep underlying lore regarding the human disappearance, which is capitalized.
<v Speaker 1>So that's fun. Yeah, And then there's a bunch of
<v Speaker 1>a Pokemon that show up that have new regional forms,
<v Speaker 1>so I'm sure the freaks will be excited about that
<v Speaker 1>as well. It supports four player online co op for
<v Speaker 1>building and resource gathering, and it has an estimated twenty
<v Speaker 1>to forty hour length for its main campaign. Okay, yeah,
<v Speaker 1>looks I think a lot of Pokemon spinoffs kind of
<v Speaker 1>usually squarely fall into that mediocre to good range, you know,
<v Speaker 1>on the open critics scale, something like a seventy to
<v Speaker 1>a seventy five. And that's usually fine because the people
<v Speaker 1>showing up for those games, look, I want the cute
<v Speaker 1>Pokemon characters that right, Yeah, the quality is like aside
<v Speaker 1>from delivering Pokemon cuteness, this sounds like it might be
<v Speaker 1>the one that kind of break that rhythm a little bit.
<v Speaker 1>Not expecting nineties here, but if it got into like
<v Speaker 1>the eighties on open credits.
<v Speaker 2>What if it's a secret Pokemon and the Leftovers spinoff
<v Speaker 2>and all the humans just instantly disappeared.
<v Speaker 1>I mean, listen, if this is a Left Behind with
<v Speaker 1>Kirk Cameron but Pokemon, uh yeah, count me in absolutely.
<v Speaker 1>Kirk Cameron the world's greatest thespian. I'm saying that's pn
<v Speaker 1>I just can't pronounce peas. Everybody don't worry all right.
<v Speaker 1>As the backlash to Discords age verification grows, company insists
<v Speaker 1>changes won't impact majority of adult users. This is from
<v Speaker 1>Tom Phillips at ign UH. There's been been a backlash.
<v Speaker 1>Discord wrote a lengthy post on Twitter where they're just like, no, look,
<v Speaker 1>this is why most you don't need to worry about
<v Speaker 1>sending us your ID. We have machines that can figure
<v Speaker 1>out your age. We already know, we already know everything
<v Speaker 1>about you. This is this is good. So wait what that?
<v Speaker 1>We don't like that even more? That sucks what you're
<v Speaker 1>what you would just said? And then and they're like,
<v Speaker 1>well then the people that do have to send in
<v Speaker 1>their ideas, don't worry. We don't keep the ideas. We
<v Speaker 1>just get the age and the ideas. We never touch those.
<v Speaker 1>And everyone's like, do you think we're dumb? Do you
<v Speaker 1>not remember when you told us like last year that
<v Speaker 1>the third party service you used was hacked and seventy
<v Speaker 1>thousand IDs were stolen. We don't care if it wasn't
<v Speaker 1>you you that lost those. You took it. You're responsible,
<v Speaker 1>And now you're saying that you're not responsible for it.
<v Speaker 1>We're not dumb. We know how this goes. There's got this,
<v Speaker 1>can't They got to do something to stop this before
<v Speaker 1>it goes into because this is just poison for a
<v Speaker 1>company like Discord, right.
<v Speaker 2>I fear that it's coming for everything. It is different
<v Speaker 2>coming old people both don't know how the Internet works
<v Speaker 2>and don't care to know how the Internet works, and
<v Speaker 2>they're happy to give companies disability to just track everything
<v Speaker 2>we do and sell that information it. They will do
<v Speaker 2>every they will do and say everything they can. But
<v Speaker 2>you know what it is, just by the fact the
<v Speaker 2>nature of what it is, and they'll they'll do it
<v Speaker 2>globally because there are places like the UK where you
<v Speaker 2>have to do it now, in Australia and others, and
<v Speaker 2>again there are laws that even if they come from
<v Speaker 2>a good place, it's a bunch of people that don't
<v Speaker 2>know how anything works and how easy it is to
<v Speaker 2>get around all of it. Anyways, like their entire websites
<v Speaker 2>that just will not especially adult entertainment websites that are
<v Speaker 2>just like we're out of America or because you've got
<v Speaker 2>ten states now that want to go after us. While yeah,
<v Speaker 2>if we don't do incredibly your konian measures to know
<v Speaker 2>exactly who's watching their footporn like it's it sucks. The
<v Speaker 2>Internet is only going to get worse, and it's because
<v Speaker 2>we don't have anyone to choose generally who actually understands
<v Speaker 2>how it works.
<v Speaker 1>Right.
<v Speaker 2>They just they're all old. They have no clue how
<v Speaker 2>it works, and the few that do are correc thing
<v Speaker 2>don't care, and they just want to sell your information anyways.
<v Speaker 1>Right, I mean, the most the most like politician that
<v Speaker 1>was most involved with tech is jd Vance and he's
<v Speaker 1>literally just owned by the worst in tech.
<v Speaker 2>So the whole thing was being a hillbilly.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, right, and then and then Peter kills like you
<v Speaker 1>belong to be now boy, and here we are, motherfucker. Yes,
<v Speaker 1>So it's time for i r C. Chuck get us
<v Speaker 1>an i r C hosted on our website Internet relay Chat.
<v Speaker 1>It's back now. Open source and sort of self hosted
<v Speaker 1>solutions can be something. But there's a reason people default
<v Speaker 1>to the path of leashed assistance, the sort of centralized tool.
<v Speaker 1>There's a reason that the Internet is like seven companies
<v Speaker 1>now because it's easiest for the vast majority of people.
<v Speaker 1>And uh, it would probably be better if we could
<v Speaker 1>just create an environment where these things could be open
<v Speaker 1>and free rather than lockdown, uh to the least common
<v Speaker 1>denominator rules made by people who don't understand how any
<v Speaker 1>of this stuff works. And in the meantime, discord just
<v Speaker 1>needs to like this messaging is awful, it is own.
<v Speaker 1>They're digging a hole deeper and deeper every time they
<v Speaker 1>open their mouths about this.
<v Speaker 2>So yeah, they are so ingrained into my kids' lives
<v Speaker 2>that I don't know what they could do to actually
<v Speaker 2>ever get them to quit.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah. Yeah, although hey, incredible thing happened yesterday, I don't
<v Speaker 1>talk about in my house. Like, my kids watch like
<v Speaker 1>quite a bit of YouTube these days, and a lot
<v Speaker 1>of this the YouTube stuff that comes across their feed
<v Speaker 1>is this AI created stuff and it's garbage. But a
<v Speaker 1>lot of the stuff they watch was garbage already. So yeah,
<v Speaker 1>So I'm not sitting there being like, you understand that
<v Speaker 1>this is AI and it's bad, right because the stuff
<v Speaker 1>was bad before. And I'm just I'm living my life
<v Speaker 1>in a way where it's like if it's bothered me,
<v Speaker 1>I'm just going to go turn off the TV. I'm
<v Speaker 1>not going to sit there and explain to them why
<v Speaker 1>each individual digital thing is bad on our own. Emmy
<v Speaker 1>nine years old, is like, why is all this a
<v Speaker 1>stuff looks so fake? Well, why can't they just make
<v Speaker 1>this stuff look better? I'm like, the kids are gonna
<v Speaker 1>be all right. She just knows. It's inherent, it's intrinsic.
<v Speaker 1>She just knows. I have never said this stuff to her,
<v Speaker 1>not once, and she just knows on her own. I'm like, Okay,
<v Speaker 1>it's maybe the tightest turning. Maybe our friends are having
<v Speaker 1>these conversations, but that's also a good sign. So that
<v Speaker 1>was I kind of felt like, yeah, small win in
<v Speaker 1>this life going by it, and I'm like, okay, you've
<v Speaker 1>opened up the door now we can talk about this.
<v Speaker 1>And I'm like, okay, So that's That's been fun to
<v Speaker 1>see happen just just since last night.
<v Speaker 2>The mom you're here, a little kid say hey.
<v Speaker 1>I swap exactly. It's the most beautiful phrase in the
<v Speaker 1>English language from the mouth of babes. All right, last
<v Speaker 1>couple of stories here Early Tokyo Scramble reviews. I'm only
<v Speaker 1>including this because it has that insane four player mode.
<v Speaker 1>Let's explain what that was. It was this like weird
<v Speaker 1>survival game that showed up in that Nintendo Partner Direct.
<v Speaker 1>It looked pretty bad, but it has a four player
<v Speaker 1>co op mode where you're like, oh, yeah, so four
<v Speaker 1>players are trying to survive in this co op world. No,
<v Speaker 1>it's four people controlling one character. One person moves them,
<v Speaker 1>one person attacks, one person controls the camera or something.
<v Speaker 1>Who knows what the fourth person does just cheers everyone on.
<v Speaker 1>I need to see it for myself, but it only
<v Speaker 1>has two reviews so far. The embargo went up today.
<v Speaker 1>I think it's out now.
<v Speaker 2>Two on Open Critic and one on Metacritic.
<v Speaker 1>Yes, this one. I have the two on Open Critic,
<v Speaker 1>one from Portuguese website Pete sa Fria from Luca Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>Luca de as a Veddo Sirez. Yeah, I think that's
<v Speaker 1>close enough. So he gave it a seven out of
<v Speaker 1>ten and said Tokyo Scramble is worthwhile for those seeking
<v Speaker 1>a survival experience focused on tension and style, but less
<v Speaker 1>so for those expecting a stealth thriller with deep strategic
<v Speaker 1>construction and way too many games. Gave it a five
<v Speaker 1>point five out of ten and said Tokyo Scramble isn't
<v Speaker 1>a bad game by any means. It's very much middle
<v Speaker 1>of the Road. It does look exciting at times, with
<v Speaker 1>some areas standing out more than others, and overall it's
<v Speaker 1>a pretty good looking game. That is not what I
<v Speaker 1>got from that trailer.
<v Speaker 2>Four disagrees, four Noisy Pixel disagrees, and they get okay,
<v Speaker 2>four out of ten, calling it ambitious, but it pretty
<v Speaker 2>much struggles with everything else.
<v Speaker 1>Yeah, it just it looked sloppy and cheap to me
<v Speaker 1>in that trailer. But maybe there was more going on.
<v Speaker 1>There's always the possibility it's like it's one of those
<v Speaker 1>systems games, so it looks cheap for a reason so
<v Speaker 1>they can have all these things happen. It doesn't seem
<v Speaker 1>like it's that either. There was also let's see, you
<v Speaker 1>know what I think. Someone mentioned that Reanimal began getting reviews. Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>eighty one, eighty one on Open Critic. We refreshed to
<v Speaker 1>make sure that's still the case. Yeah eighty one on
<v Speaker 1>oprah Critic. Not bad. No quote on the poll here
<v Speaker 1>from Open Critic for GamePro that gave us sixty five
<v Speaker 1>out of one hundred is that game pro Game Pro.
<v Speaker 2>I have to add that to Open Critic for us.
<v Speaker 1>Although yeah, Nintendo Life gave it a nine out of ten.
<v Speaker 1>Nile Bowie said, with re Animal, Tarsier Studios delivers it's darkest,
<v Speaker 1>boldest work yet, expanding on the Little Nightmares formula. With
<v Speaker 1>non linear exploration, striking audio visual design, and bombastic set pieces,
<v Speaker 1>this is an imaginative horror experience that confidently delivers its
<v Speaker 1>vision while offering accessible co op play that fans of
<v Speaker 1>the developer have long clamored for. Seventy four from PC Gamer,
<v Speaker 1>eight point five from PlayStation Universe, ninety out of one
<v Speaker 1>hundred from Frank Montez at A Generation Xbox. Okay, yeah,
<v Speaker 1>sounds sounds pretty good.
<v Speaker 2>I am adding our nine out of ten?
<v Speaker 1>You uh, okay? Nine out of ten?
<v Speaker 2>What was our CEO and founder? Whatever? The editor in chief,
<v Speaker 2>John really liked it. Little bit or two was his
<v Speaker 2>game of the year back when it came out. He
<v Speaker 2>gave it a nine, with his final thing being Animal.
<v Speaker 2>Oh he's British. Animal doesn't give us all the unces ball,
<v Speaker 2>the tone, the credits roll. There's no comfort enclosure here.
<v Speaker 2>It's a game in the world that lingas well. Have
<v Speaker 2>so many ununc questions, so many theories.
<v Speaker 1>Beautiful are repors of the game. So he could be
<v Speaker 1>a leva polar He's a metro bowne Levapol Beautiful Ringo
<v Speaker 1>is a great reviewer, absolutely all right, last story here.
<v Speaker 1>Some of February's PlayStation Plus Game Catalog titles have leaked,
<v Speaker 1>including Spider Man two. According to Bill Bill Kuhn, the
<v Speaker 1>major big additions this month is Marvel Spider Man two.
<v Speaker 2>Uh.
<v Speaker 1>It will be joined by Test Drive Unlimited, Solar Crown
<v Speaker 1>for the PS five, and Never Neva I never knew
<v Speaker 1>how to say that one, which never okay, I never ever,
<v Speaker 1>with all three games set to be added to the
<v Speaker 1>game catalog on February seventeenth, Okay, there you go. I
<v Speaker 1>know people always like to get updates on the stuff.
<v Speaker 1>A lot of subscribers for those things. Everyone always wants
<v Speaker 1>to know what's coming up soon. Last month, eight new
<v Speaker 1>games were added for PlayStation Plus Game Catalog, So if
<v Speaker 1>you haven't checked in recently, there you can get Resident Evil,
<v Speaker 1>Village Like a Dragon, Infinite Wealth Expeditions, a mund Runner game,
<v Speaker 1>Just Banger after Banger Here, a Quiet Place, The Road Ahead,
<v Speaker 1>Darkest Dungeon two, the Exit Eight. They're making an Exit
<v Speaker 1>eight movie.
<v Speaker 2>Have seen that it has been reviewed. It's at ninety
<v Speaker 2>on Rotten Tomatoes. With like thirty two reviews.
<v Speaker 1>It looked really good. Yeah, I'll count that's amazing. I'll
<v Speaker 1>check that out.
<v Speaker 2>You play that the best video game adaption movie ever?
<v Speaker 1>I guess. Yeah, that's even higher than that weird wolf
<v Speaker 1>Man movie from that was based on a Ubisoft VR
<v Speaker 1>game that did really well with the guy from Detroiter's
<v Speaker 1>Art of Rally, which is a really good rally racing
<v Speaker 1>like isometric game A Little to the Left, which I
<v Speaker 1>think is that organizational game. A lot of good stuff
<v Speaker 1>already on there, and now they're adding Spider Man two.
<v Speaker 1>All right, that does it for the headlines. Let's go
<v Speaker 1>ahead and get to the pole question from yesterday. Pole. Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>let's see, I have the poll for you right here.
<v Speaker 1>If I go to that, I'm gonna get the most
<v Speaker 1>recent Yeah, I voted no. Okay, let's see here I
<v Speaker 1>started playing music instead dot Com slash at, Giant Bomb
<v Speaker 1>slash posts. Here we go from yesterday. Are you still
<v Speaker 1>excited about the future of RGG games after Yakuza Kawami
<v Speaker 1>three and Dark Ties review scores? Only forty five percent
<v Speaker 1>said yes, Fifty five percent said now or ques yeah?
<v Speaker 2>Because go at Yakaza Kwami three wasn't really them when
<v Speaker 2>you go get the credits Yakaza Kwami three, wash, let's
<v Speaker 2>get this out for our.
<v Speaker 1>Gent and a bunch of others.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, yeah, and it sucked. It didn't look great. The
<v Speaker 2>underlying game of Yakaza three is still fun in ways.
<v Speaker 2>But while I wasn't as low as Lexi at two,
<v Speaker 2>I was six point five. And I'm kind of shocked
<v Speaker 2>at some of the nines. Yeah, that Dark Ties and
<v Speaker 2>the the change to the ending is just so dumb
<v Speaker 2>and poorly done. And but like Stranger than Heaven and
<v Speaker 2>Virturofighter look awesome, so for their future. Still excited for
<v Speaker 2>the future of Yakuza not as much.
<v Speaker 1>All right, Well, let's do a let's do a similar question,
<v Speaker 1>uh for today? Are you happy with the current state
<v Speaker 1>of Silent Hill? Yes or no? And I think most
<v Speaker 1>people are going to agree with you, Jesse.
<v Speaker 2>Yeah, and I forgot in the chat they said Kawami
<v Speaker 2>three is the last Kawami and that the rest of
<v Speaker 2>the series is being rebooted as the Didoji Universe. I
<v Speaker 2>guess they have to do. They splintered the timeline so
<v Speaker 2>much with the ending change that the following games really
<v Speaker 2>don't make sense.
<v Speaker 1>Oh, okay, weird.
<v Speaker 2>I guess they're just I don't know what. I don't
<v Speaker 2>know what they're doing. I'm what they're doing.
<v Speaker 1>I'm going to continue to be excited for their Virtual
<v Speaker 1>Fighter game and for Project Century, which I can never
<v Speaker 1>remember with the Stranger than Heaven, Stranger than Heaven, Yeah,
<v Speaker 1>the promise, I'm like, it's not Stranger than Stranger of Paradise.
<v Speaker 1>That's wrong, It's no, it's not stranger Chaos chaos? All right?
<v Speaker 1>Are you happy with the current state of Silent Hill.
<v Speaker 1>We'll get the results of that talk about on tomorrow's show.
<v Speaker 1>Here on Giant Bomb, speaking a Giant Bomb, we have
<v Speaker 1>happening on the website today is Yeah, it's time for
<v Speaker 1>Mike to go back to Virtue, so it's here everybody.
<v Speaker 1>Blight Club returns. Me and Dan should be recording a
<v Speaker 1>quick look for Mario Tennis that will be able to
<v Speaker 1>go up later this week. Just because the embargo stuff.
<v Speaker 1>It's just easier if we put out when the game
<v Speaker 1>is fully launched, so you can expect that then. Other
<v Speaker 1>than that, yeah, tomorrow will be normal stuff for the
<v Speaker 1>most part. We'll have a voicemail dump truck and all
<v Speaker 1>that stuff. I'll be back with Game mess mornings. All
<v Speaker 1>that out of the way, though, Jesse, why do I
<v Speaker 1>tell people whe they can find you on the internet
<v Speaker 1>telling about the new website, rebrand one more time and
<v Speaker 1>all that good stuff.
<v Speaker 2>Now we're day one. You can pretty much find us
<v Speaker 2>at Playday dot one is the website where Playday one
<v Speaker 2>on Blue Sky, where Playday Underscore one on Twitter. Though
<v Speaker 2>I can't imagine we stay on that garbage site that
<v Speaker 2>much longer. But yeah, everything is going to be at
<v Speaker 2>playday dot one. By the end of the month. We'll
<v Speaker 2>have our whole new membership program ruled out. We are
<v Speaker 2>same content, different wrapper. Essentially. If you like what we
<v Speaker 2>did before, it won't be gone. There just will be
<v Speaker 2>more stuff added on top of it. Thank you very much.
<v Speaker 1>Yep, thank you. I appreciate you coming on ton us
<v Speaker 1>all about it. Everyone should go check out playday dot
<v Speaker 1>one right now. Okay, let's see we talked about what's
<v Speaker 1>happening on Giant Bomb. Oh yeah, Abby's gonna be on
<v Speaker 1>voicemail dump truck. You might have something to say everybody,
<v Speaker 1>so it'll be one to watch, uh And then yeah,
<v Speaker 1>I think with all that out of the way, let's
<v Speaker 1>do this. Jesse, thank you so much for hanging out
<v Speaker 1>with me today and talking about video games. Man, I
<v Speaker 1>really appreciate it.
<v Speaker 2>It is very fun. Thank you for having me.
<v Speaker 1>Thank you all for watching. You are the best audience
<v Speaker 1>in gaming. Until next time, have a good one, take
<v Speaker 1>care of yourself and goodbye.
