<v Speaker 1>Listen is w w E superstar Drew mcintyr, and you're
<v Speaker 1>listening to the WWE podcast show, the one that everybody
<v Speaker 1>wants me.
<v Speaker 2>So work.
<v Speaker 1>Your ass is my We're gonna acknowledge me.
<v Speaker 2>Good morning, good afternoon, good evening. Hello, whatever time it
<v Speaker 2>is with you and wherever you are. Thank you for
<v Speaker 2>downloading this SmackDown review as part of the WWE podcast.
<v Speaker 2>As always, it's an absolute pleasure to have you listening along.
<v Speaker 2>I am a man at your host of this SmackDown review.
<v Speaker 2>Before we get to smack Down, I just want to
<v Speaker 2>talk really quickly about RAW. I thought RAW was really
<v Speaker 2>strong show this week, and we've got Sena as the
<v Speaker 2>new Intercontinental champ. Really hope that means they have a
<v Speaker 2>call plan for DOM. Let's hope they do. I fear
<v Speaker 2>they don't, and I don't mind at all. WWE letting
<v Speaker 2>Sina complete his Grand Slam. It's totally deserved. And we
<v Speaker 2>had Bliss and Flair dropping the tag titles to the
<v Speaker 2>Kabuki Warriors and setting up the War Games match. We
<v Speaker 2>got Ria back for the first time after a broken nose,
<v Speaker 2>which is completely awesome. We also got Nicki Bella turn
<v Speaker 2>on Stephanie Vakuur. I'm not sure what they are planning
<v Speaker 2>to do with that. I mean, it doesn't exactly run
<v Speaker 2>very deep. They've been friends for about a week. But anyway,
<v Speaker 2>a strong raw, so I'm hopeful that we might get
<v Speaker 2>an equally strong SmackDown this week. So everything crossed. Let's
<v Speaker 2>get to it then and review the SmackDown that aired
<v Speaker 2>on November fourteenth from Albany, New York, a place that,
<v Speaker 2>of course, like probably every other British person, I have
<v Speaker 2>been a couple of times. I mean not Albany, sorry Albany,
<v Speaker 2>but New York. We start off the show with a
<v Speaker 2>look at the events of last week with Flair and
<v Speaker 2>blisstropping the title as we mentioned, and then everything that
<v Speaker 2>happened with Nia's new mate Lash and they're set up
<v Speaker 2>to wargames and yeay. Rhea starts off the show tonight
<v Speaker 2>with EO. Great to see them both back and she
<v Speaker 2>looks completely badass with her new face mask on, and
<v Speaker 2>the crowd are off the chart for Ria. Ria has
<v Speaker 2>the mic and she says that since she's been out,
<v Speaker 2>the Kabooki Warriors have been causing chaos and now they're
<v Speaker 2>the tag champs. They think they're untouchable. She says, when
<v Speaker 2>you throw in Nya and Lash to the mix, they
<v Speaker 2>now think they're even more untouchable, and they have the
<v Speaker 2>numbers advantage. She says. The funny thing about numbers is
<v Speaker 2>that you end up with more enemies. EO agrees, a
<v Speaker 2>lot of enemies. She says, they always catch up, catch
<v Speaker 2>up to you, and now there is nowhere to hide,
<v Speaker 2>and EO says wargames, Riea says, you know what, we
<v Speaker 2>aren't going in alone. She brings out Bliss and Flare,
<v Speaker 2>and you know what, I think this might be the
<v Speaker 2>most over face war games team we have seen in ages.
<v Speaker 2>Ria makes a point of saying some of the teams,
<v Speaker 2>so I'm guessing that we've got one more woman to
<v Speaker 2>be revealed for each of the teams, probably Stephanie for
<v Speaker 2>the faces, Nicki for the heels. Maybe. Bliss says that
<v Speaker 2>the Kabooki Warriors want to play dirty, that's fine, and
<v Speaker 2>Nia and Lash want to stick their noses, and that's fine.
<v Speaker 2>We now have a chance to get them all in
<v Speaker 2>the same room together. So they are on. She says.
<v Speaker 2>They started it and we are the ones to end it.
<v Speaker 2>Bliss says, the second Rea mentioned wargames, she knew they
<v Speaker 2>were in and she says, right, Charlotte. But Charlotte, she
<v Speaker 2>can't do this, she can't pretend anymore. She says to
<v Speaker 2>Rea that she doesn't like her, she doesn't trust her.
<v Speaker 2>She calls her a snake. Charlotte says, there's far too
<v Speaker 2>much history and just because they have some of the
<v Speaker 2>same enemies, they can't forget what has gone on between them.
<v Speaker 2>She tells Bliss that she is her friend and that
<v Speaker 2>she trusts her. She says, if you want to do this,
<v Speaker 2>I understand, but count me out. I thought this was
<v Speaker 2>really interesting. In the crowd literally instantly turn on Charlotte
<v Speaker 2>straight away. She goes to leave the ring. She walks
<v Speaker 2>up to the ramp and the Face Team are left
<v Speaker 2>standing in the ring, down to free apparently. And I
<v Speaker 2>thought this was a really good opening segment. It's believable
<v Speaker 2>that Charlotte would take some persuasion to join the team.
<v Speaker 2>I thought for a minute that they were going to
<v Speaker 2>do the break up of Bliss and Flair right here,
<v Speaker 2>right now, but it didn't happen, thankfully, So I guess
<v Speaker 2>we have a bit of back and forth as Charlotte
<v Speaker 2>gets persuaded by Bliss to join the team. Maybe we
<v Speaker 2>get Flair being attacked by the Heel at some point
<v Speaker 2>tonight or Monday to make her mad enough to put
<v Speaker 2>her distrust of Rear on the side and get back
<v Speaker 2>on board. Interesting how quickly the crowd started to turn
<v Speaker 2>on Flair and that's how fragile her facenss is. I
<v Speaker 2>guess as long as she's with Bliss, she's good. But
<v Speaker 2>after that segment, we get Cole and Corey saying things
<v Speaker 2>weren't expected to go down that way, are really strong open,
<v Speaker 2>we get our arrivals. We've got the beef Ab and
<v Speaker 2>Jade match tonight, LA Night and Sena's Tournament against a
<v Speaker 2>surprise opponent. Who do you think that is? Rumor has
<v Speaker 2>it it might be Joe Hendry, which I know will
<v Speaker 2>make DJ Cosmo a happy guy. Let's see, I'm still
<v Speaker 2>hoping for Jericho. Did you see the picture Jericho posted
<v Speaker 2>this week of him looking all shredded? Granted, old and wrinkly,
<v Speaker 2>but still shredded. Next out, we've got jay Uso in
<v Speaker 2>the senior tournament. He's facing the mis A bit weird.
<v Speaker 2>I mean, what are the odds of either Jay or
<v Speaker 2>Mis being seen as last opponent. I would say two hopes,
<v Speaker 2>and that's Bob and none. But we do love a tournament.
<v Speaker 2>Jay is still way over or at least his theme
<v Speaker 2>tune and catchphrase are. I wonder how much of it
<v Speaker 2>is actually down to those kind of things and how
<v Speaker 2>much is the inn ring wrestling stuff. I guess it
<v Speaker 2>doesn't really matter. It's all part of the entertainment package.
<v Speaker 2>But you do wonder, you do wonder how much of
<v Speaker 2>it is down to these these elements. This one kicks
<v Speaker 2>off and we've got comms telling us that Mis has
<v Speaker 2>been saying for months that he should be the guy
<v Speaker 2>that is seen his last opponent. Corey's saying that everyone
<v Speaker 2>is desperate to get the opportunity because who wouldn't want
<v Speaker 2>to be the one guy to retire Sena? Now, can
<v Speaker 2>we just talk about that for a minute. Sena is
<v Speaker 2>retiring after Saturday Nights main event, and that's been set
<v Speaker 2>for well over a year. He's retiring anyway, So the
<v Speaker 2>match isn't to retire Sena. That's happening. The match is
<v Speaker 2>to be his last opponent, and that's going to just
<v Speaker 2>really annoy me because we keep talking about being the
<v Speaker 2>one that's going to retire, seeing you're not retiring him.
<v Speaker 2>He is retiring, and you are competing to be his
<v Speaker 2>final opponent. And I know it's semantics, but it annoys
<v Speaker 2>me anyway. This match has started and Jay is in
<v Speaker 2>charge outside the ring, delivering punches in the corner, leaving
<v Speaker 2>Miss rolling. Miss though making a comeback as he delivers
<v Speaker 2>a massive kick to Jay on the floor, reminiscent of
<v Speaker 2>a Yes kick, getting himself a close cover. Corey on
<v Speaker 2>Comms talking up missus past accomplishments and as to be said,
<v Speaker 2>we do have a very serious version of Miss tonight.
<v Speaker 2>He looks all business. There's no laughing, no joking. He's
<v Speaker 2>in charge and slowing things right down. He hits a
<v Speaker 2>neck breaker, gets a close cover, along with some pretty
<v Speaker 2>outrageous shot calling that you could spot from space. Ms
<v Speaker 2>drops Jay with a spiked DDT and gets himself a
<v Speaker 2>really close cover. As this one continues, Mis goes to
<v Speaker 2>give the five knuckle shuffle to Jay, which he does,
<v Speaker 2>but before he can finish it off with the attitude adjustment,
<v Speaker 2>Jay super kicks him. We get a skull crushing finale
<v Speaker 2>from Mis, but Jay kicks out and this one finishes
<v Speaker 2>against the run of play, Jay hits the USO splash
<v Speaker 2>and gets the win on Miss. A great match, as
<v Speaker 2>it should have been, and he'd expect it to be.
<v Speaker 2>J progresses it really should have been missing my opinion.
<v Speaker 2>He was in charge for ninety nine point nine percent
<v Speaker 2>of the match, but Miss used again to be buried
<v Speaker 2>and Ja pushed. But we know that when the time comes,
<v Speaker 2>they won't have the confidence in that push, so they
<v Speaker 2>won't really push him all the way. Sigh. As I
<v Speaker 2>said before, I don't think there is anyway Jay wins
<v Speaker 2>this tournament, so in the grand scheme of things, it
<v Speaker 2>doesn't really matter. We go backstage where Nick is speaking
<v Speaker 2>to Ilia Dragonoff, who, let's just say it now, has
<v Speaker 2>been a brilliantly West champ so far. He has given
<v Speaker 2>us some absolute barn stormer matches and long way that continue,
<v Speaker 2>we get Champer and the rest of DIY approach and
<v Speaker 2>he says that he hopes Nick is telling Illia how
<v Speaker 2>to be a good champion. Nick says to the whole
<v Speaker 2>of the y that it's up to the champion to
<v Speaker 2>decide how he defends. I'm not sure that's completely true,
<v Speaker 2>but anyway, they kick off again about Ilia, calling Champer
<v Speaker 2>a jackass. Champer tells calls Illia a muppet for denying
<v Speaker 2>him a shot last week and the week after week.
<v Speaker 2>Elia says he promised to do things the right way
<v Speaker 2>when he took on the Open challenge, and the right
<v Speaker 2>way means not giving opportunities to jackasses. He says, it
<v Speaker 2>means to fight warriors who fight with respect and honor,
<v Speaker 2>and he says tonight he's given the opportunity to someone
<v Speaker 2>who fights with honor and someone he respects. Champer throws
<v Speaker 2>a full on Toddler tantrum and leaves. We then get
<v Speaker 2>Nick approached by Hayman and Bronson Reid. Hayman's holding some
<v Speaker 2>kind of contract folder and says he needs to talk
<v Speaker 2>to Nick. Very mysterious. Is that something to do with
<v Speaker 2>wargames or some kind of title shot for one of
<v Speaker 2>the Bronze or both? No doubt, Hayman is always up
<v Speaker 2>to something. We're getting it. Backstage, he's calling security to
<v Speaker 2>his office to escort Hayman and Brons and read out.
<v Speaker 2>Nick asks Hayman, before you are escorted out, what do
<v Speaker 2>you want? And Hayman calls him dramatic. It is the
<v Speaker 2>Wargames agreement, and Hayman says he's entitled to take any
<v Speaker 2>talent for the team across any brand. Nick says, like, duh,
<v Speaker 2>you didn't need to come and tell me that I
<v Speaker 2>already knew you need to leave if I'm not having
<v Speaker 2>the Vision disrupt my show, and with that, Cody appears.
<v Speaker 2>Hayman calls him the Golden Goose, which is very appropriate
<v Speaker 2>as we are approaching pantomime season. He's behind you, Cody
<v Speaker 2>says to Hayman, what do you want to talk about Hayman.
<v Speaker 2>He says he wants to talk about him getting involved
<v Speaker 2>in Vision business on Monday. Cody says, this is SmackDown
<v Speaker 2>and if you're not here to fight, you should leave.
<v Speaker 2>Reid steps up and says he's here to fight, and
<v Speaker 2>Cody makes the match himself, which again I'm not sure
<v Speaker 2>we could do, but he does. Hayman says, let's make
<v Speaker 2>it a title match, and Cody tells Nick to Bookett,
<v Speaker 2>which he does, and we've got a title match. These
<v Speaker 2>gms really need to get a hold of their brands.
<v Speaker 2>This is like the third or fourth week in a
<v Speaker 2>row that we've not had any main event booked, and
<v Speaker 2>then luckily someone turns up and we get our say's
<v Speaker 2>the main event. Obviously, I'm being very facetious, but seriously,
<v Speaker 2>that was a bit of a weird set up. I mean,
<v Speaker 2>is there any chance that Bronts and Reid wins. I
<v Speaker 2>don't believe so, but I guess you never know. Just
<v Speaker 2>look at Chelsea and Julia. I suspect this will be
<v Speaker 2>a finish with plenty of shenanigans and maybe the intro
<v Speaker 2>of another War Games team member for either both one
<v Speaker 2>or the other of the men's sides. Either way, it
<v Speaker 2>should be a decent match, I guess. Next up in
<v Speaker 2>the ring, we've got Ilia Dragonov and he is facing
<v Speaker 2>Axiom in the US Open Challenge, and again this should
<v Speaker 2>be a good match. Dragonov's starting off strong, but Axiom
<v Speaker 2>using his speed well. Hary tells us that these two
<v Speaker 2>have met in their Renxto days, but now Axiom has
<v Speaker 2>changed the game and he's good and I like him,
<v Speaker 2>but I'm not sure he's game changing good yet. But anyway,
<v Speaker 2>iliat making his power pay now and he just about
<v Speaker 2>takes Axiom's head off. Axiom, we're a fight back, but
<v Speaker 2>soon enough we get Ilia sewing things down again, taking
<v Speaker 2>back control Dragonov gets himself a close cover after a
<v Speaker 2>headbut and a suplex, and he carries on the beat
<v Speaker 2>down on Axium. Another two suplexes leaves a Axiom getting
<v Speaker 2>himself pretty much turned inside out. Axium, though, does make
<v Speaker 2>a bit of a comeback. He gets a double legs
<v Speaker 2>drop kick off the top rope, gets himself a close
<v Speaker 2>cover from nowhere and now Axioum's mountain a comeback, but
<v Speaker 2>Ilia just flattens him with a kick in the mouth.
<v Speaker 2>Axiom with a move then that was quite phenomenal. It
<v Speaker 2>ended with DDT to Ilia, but Axiom defied the laws
<v Speaker 2>of gravity making it happen going off the ropes. It
<v Speaker 2>was just amazing. He gets a cover which is a
<v Speaker 2>genuine two point ninety ninety nine and wow, what a
<v Speaker 2>move that was. I'm going to go back and watch
<v Speaker 2>that on YouTube. This one ends with draggon off hitting
<v Speaker 2>the h bomb and retaining. But what a match. Wow,
<v Speaker 2>Axiom is like something. Maybe Corey is right with this
<v Speaker 2>game changer tag. Once again, the US Challenge doing exactly
<v Speaker 2>what it should and putting over all kinds of talent
<v Speaker 2>we haven't had a chance to fully see before. An
<v Speaker 2>absolute banger and I say, let's have Ilia Dragonov as
<v Speaker 2>champ forever. Backstage now and we've got Truth with Nick
<v Speaker 2>asking again to be in the drawer for the tournament. Again,
<v Speaker 2>Nick tells him that he's already in, but for a
<v Speaker 2>quiet life. He takes Truth's balls anyway, and again with
<v Speaker 2>the balls thing. We then get our new US champ
<v Speaker 2>on the woman's side, Chelsea coming in. She says to
<v Speaker 2>Nick she wants to know why she didn't get Pyro
<v Speaker 2>when she won last week. She asks why he's canceled
<v Speaker 2>her celebration this week and says that she wants on
<v Speaker 2>next week with Pyro. He agrees to make that happen.
<v Speaker 2>So I guess next week we will get an idea
<v Speaker 2>of where we are going with Chelsea's second title reign.
<v Speaker 2>Now do we think we're ever going to get a
<v Speaker 2>Piper Niven return to the secret hervist, I haven't seen
<v Speaker 2>any reports recently on her injury, and who would we
<v Speaker 2>like to see Chelsea defend against. I'm sticking with my
<v Speaker 2>idea and I would love to see a woman's US
<v Speaker 2>title Open challenge. Just think about it. Every week we
<v Speaker 2>get Chelsea desperately trying to get out of it. Every
<v Speaker 2>week so you know, hiding the toilet, don't show up
<v Speaker 2>until really late for the show, etc. Etc. Really sort
<v Speaker 2>of ham it up and make a thing out of it,
<v Speaker 2>and then every week she somehow pulls it out of
<v Speaker 2>the bag and defends her title and we go on
<v Speaker 2>like that for a few months. I mean, that would
<v Speaker 2>just be awesome and such fun, and it could do
<v Speaker 2>the same job that the Men's US Open title is doing.
<v Speaker 2>We could have some NXT talent, we could have some
<v Speaker 2>TNA talent, we could have talent from you know, anywhere
<v Speaker 2>come up for the Open Challenge. They could be pushed
<v Speaker 2>and put over, and we see Chelsea at her best,
<v Speaker 2>because she is best when she is working with a
<v Speaker 2>slightly comedy angle. So I am pushing that. W Dowie.
<v Speaker 2>You're not listening. I wish you were. Lets that be
<v Speaker 2>the thing that happens with Chelsea's championship. We get Sammy
<v Speaker 2>Sammy backstage, let me get still not clear to compete.
<v Speaker 2>We get another segment of him begging Nick to let
<v Speaker 2>him be at ringside yawn. We then go for a
<v Speaker 2>break and as we come back, we get some footage
<v Speaker 2>of Axiom being attacked by Champer post match with Nathan
<v Speaker 2>Fraser making the save, and now we get Sammy out
<v Speaker 2>not dressed for the ring at all, so let's see
<v Speaker 2>what he has to say. It comes to the ring,
<v Speaker 2>and he says since he's come to SmackDown, there have
<v Speaker 2>been some big highs and some big lows. He says
<v Speaker 2>that he did what he said he was going to do,
<v Speaker 2>and he beats Solo for the US title. He got
<v Speaker 2>to face see it on his last ever SmackDown, and
<v Speaker 2>he's got to go at it with the best talent.
<v Speaker 2>He says the last few weeks have been hard for
<v Speaker 2>him as he's had towards the mft's and Solo run
<v Speaker 2>through people that he likes and respects, and as he's
<v Speaker 2>not being clear to fight, that's been really difficult for him.
<v Speaker 2>He says that he doesn't understand next point of view
<v Speaker 2>about him being a liability and he sat back and
<v Speaker 2>did nothing, but he's here to say that ends tonight.
<v Speaker 2>He calls out Solo and says they have a problem
<v Speaker 2>with each other, so let's deal with it face to face.
<v Speaker 2>Solo's music hits an outcome Solo accompanied by his Kiss
<v Speaker 2>tribute band. Solo says to Sammy, you think you know
<v Speaker 2>who you are, but you don't. The real Sammy is
<v Speaker 2>a pathetic liar who is desperate and says that Sammy
<v Speaker 2>doesn't care about anyone but himself, not the guys in
<v Speaker 2>the back, and certainly not the people in Albany. Says
<v Speaker 2>that he cares about his family, kiss he cares about
<v Speaker 2>their loyalty to him. He tells Sammy he knows nothing
<v Speaker 2>about loyalty and he should watch how he talks or
<v Speaker 2>he will kick his us. The MFT approached the ring
<v Speaker 2>and Solo tells him this can end very bad for you.
<v Speaker 2>He says that he could drop him, but he won't.
<v Speaker 2>He says he wants to wait until he's cleared, and
<v Speaker 2>when he is clear, Solo says he is coming for him.
<v Speaker 2>Sammy tells him that he won't have to wait long.
<v Speaker 2>As of tonight, he is medically cleared. Sammy says, before
<v Speaker 2>you do, go ahead and kick my ass. Just no
<v Speaker 2>one thing. He didn't come alone, and from behind, we've
<v Speaker 2>got the most city machine guns, Shinskate and Phoenix, taking
<v Speaker 2>out the MFTs and leaving Sammy with Solo in the ring.
<v Speaker 2>Sammy gets the upper hand on Solo, but not for long.
<v Speaker 2>Color Tonga makes the save and drags Solo from the
<v Speaker 2>ring predictively. Predictively, sorry, put my tea in the mft's
<v Speaker 2>bundling on Sammy, But the faces stand tall this time,
<v Speaker 2>and we get Phoenix with a pretty impressive move, flying
<v Speaker 2>off the ring post to the outside, taking out the MFT.
<v Speaker 2>So is this another Wargames team? Imagine that if we
<v Speaker 2>had numerous Wargames matches that would be so cool. I
<v Speaker 2>mean it must take a lot getting those double rings
<v Speaker 2>installed with all the bits and the accompaniments around the outside.
<v Speaker 2>So why not just really go for it, just take
<v Speaker 2>the plunge, have the whole pl e is just Wargames
<v Speaker 2>matches that would be so fun. Backstage, now we have
<v Speaker 2>Cody limbering up for his match. He's approached by Jay,
<v Speaker 2>who tells him he's got his back. Later, Jimmy comes
<v Speaker 2>and tells him that he also has his back. Jimmy
<v Speaker 2>says that he spoke to Punk earlier and he's also
<v Speaker 2>on the Wargames team. So, as predicted, I think we're
<v Speaker 2>going to get an absolute cluster of a main event
<v Speaker 2>and it's going to end up in a big old brawl.
<v Speaker 2>Solo is going to Nick backstage, saying that he wants Sammy.
<v Speaker 2>Nick makes a pre wargames match five versus five Survivor
<v Speaker 2>Series elimination match, So a pre war game snack if
<v Speaker 2>you like that'll do? We get the usual Wyat six
<v Speaker 2>funk across the screen. One of them was lingering at
<v Speaker 2>the background. I didn't catch who it was, so I'm
<v Speaker 2>guessing that there's going to be an angle there too.
<v Speaker 2>And listen, guys, I wish they would use the Wyatt
<v Speaker 2>six more. They are really great talent, and we see
<v Speaker 2>so little of them now. I don't know if that's
<v Speaker 2>because they want us to leave us wanting more, or
<v Speaker 2>if Creative just don't have much for them. But I
<v Speaker 2>do want to see more of them as a group
<v Speaker 2>and as individuals. I mean, as an example, when was
<v Speaker 2>the last time we saw Nicky in a match and
<v Speaker 2>she's good? Yeah, she's good. Give her a gimmick and
<v Speaker 2>she runs with it. I want to see more of
<v Speaker 2>the Wyat six. I don't know. That's probably slightly controversial
<v Speaker 2>because a lot of people don't like them and think
<v Speaker 2>that they're their gimmick of being Bray's gang is a
<v Speaker 2>bit old, But I want to see more of them.
<v Speaker 2>Next up, we've got La Knight and his mystery opponents,
<v Speaker 2>and who is it going to be? And it's Zach Ryder. Well,
<v Speaker 2>you could have given me the whole rest of the
<v Speaker 2>day and I wouldn't have guessed that. Nice to hear
<v Speaker 2>Colm's referencing some kind of life in wrestling outside WWE,
<v Speaker 2>saying that he spent time on the indies in death matches.
<v Speaker 2>For those of us that lived through the Vince era
<v Speaker 2>where all forms of other wrestling entertainment shows were banned
<v Speaker 2>from getting mentioned, this is really refreshing. Rider looks good.
<v Speaker 2>He goes for a quick roll up, getting a two
<v Speaker 2>count and taking Night by surprise. This should be a
<v Speaker 2>good match. Rider and control in the early goings, sending
<v Speaker 2>Night into the steps, and the crowd don't seem to
<v Speaker 2>know who to cheer for and who to do for,
<v Speaker 2>and it's all gone a little bit quiet. Another two
<v Speaker 2>count for Rider, but Night a neck breaker forces Rider
<v Speaker 2>to kick it too, and now Night is rolling, but
<v Speaker 2>Rider managing to send Night into the corner at full pelt.
<v Speaker 2>Rider hits rough Rider and gets a very close to count.
<v Speaker 2>Night hits the bft on Rider and takes the win,
<v Speaker 2>and Night progresses to the next round. I don't know
<v Speaker 2>about you, guys, but I always think it's a bit
<v Speaker 2>weird when they bring people back to lose. For me,
<v Speaker 2>so far, so predictable with this tournament. What's the deal
<v Speaker 2>with Ryder? Is he back back or is this a
<v Speaker 2>one and done? I guess we have to wait and see,
<v Speaker 2>but I want more from this tournament. And I know
<v Speaker 2>that Sina's got everyone all excited saying, Oh, people that
<v Speaker 2>don't even work here are going to get to have
<v Speaker 2>a go in this tournament and all of that stuff,
<v Speaker 2>and we've all gone fantasy booking mad. And I count
<v Speaker 2>myself in that. You know, the things that we've been
<v Speaker 2>thinking about about Edge, about Jericho, blah blah blah blah blah.
<v Speaker 2>Are we actually going to see any of those people?
<v Speaker 2>Or is this going to be something super predictable If
<v Speaker 2>it isn't Jericho, if it isn't Edge, who is winning
<v Speaker 2>this tournament? Who do you guys want to see face
<v Speaker 2>Sena as his last opponent? And I'm not getting on
<v Speaker 2>board with this. Who do you want to see retire senor? No,
<v Speaker 2>who do you want to see as Seena's last opponent?
<v Speaker 2>Take Jericho out, take Edge out? Who do we think
<v Speaker 2>it's going to be I honestly have absolutely no clue,
<v Speaker 2>and the law of professional wrestling it should be a heel, right,
<v Speaker 2>so if we look at the heel side of the drawer,
<v Speaker 2>I have no idea. Does brock Lesna come back? I
<v Speaker 2>don't know. There we go fantasy booking again. Anyway, Look,
<v Speaker 2>we're just going to have to wait and see. Backstage,
<v Speaker 2>now we've got Bliss and Rear with EO talking about
<v Speaker 2>the situation with Charlotte. Bliss says that Flair isn't responding
<v Speaker 2>to her texts, and Ria says that they now need
<v Speaker 2>to find two people to complete the teams. Blister says
<v Speaker 2>that she's sure she can get through to her, but
<v Speaker 2>mid conversation, they are attacked by the Kobooky Warriors and
<v Speaker 2>I and Lash pretty much destroy them all that Lash
<v Speaker 2>is brutal, blind me. They call her the Boogie Bully apparently,
<v Speaker 2>and good lord she is. Yeah, she is quite something.
<v Speaker 2>Quite looking forward to seeing her journey in SmackDown Colors.
<v Speaker 2>Next out, we've got Jade. She's facing Beefab and I
<v Speaker 2>predict this will be swift and brutal. I'm sure they
<v Speaker 2>will make jude A Jade look like an absolute beast
<v Speaker 2>and run through Beefab in no time flat. We kick
<v Speaker 2>off and Beefab gets a couple of drop kicks in,
<v Speaker 2>so that's good. Smelbows in the corner. Jade, though, comes out,
<v Speaker 2>punches a square in the face, and starts to dominate
<v Speaker 2>big time. I got absolutely no idea what it was
<v Speaker 2>like live, and I'm sure MATC can fill us in
<v Speaker 2>as I believe that he is there at SmackDown tonight,
<v Speaker 2>but the crowd just seems totally flat. Jade hits Jaded
<v Speaker 2>and gets the win in a couple of the couple
<v Speaker 2>of minutes. Seems to me that Jade is not even
<v Speaker 2>over a little bit and Befab is Befab, so meth
<v Speaker 2>After the match, we get Meeting out. She is saying
<v Speaker 2>she doesn't want any trouble, but Jade pushes her down.
<v Speaker 2>The two face off. I guess that's our next match.
<v Speaker 2>Then again, meh, I mean, Meeting is more over than Beefab,
<v Speaker 2>but there's not much in it anyway. That's the thing
<v Speaker 2>that's probably gonna happen. And yeah, I'm not on board
<v Speaker 2>with this Jade train at all. Now back to Nick
<v Speaker 2>and his balls backstage, we get the next matches in
<v Speaker 2>the senior tournament. It's Mellow versus Bronson Reed and Penta
<v Speaker 2>versus Finnbala. Two interesting matches. But again, do we see
<v Speaker 2>any of those four being seen as last apponment. The
<v Speaker 2>only maybe, maybe huge maybe is maybe Mellow, But I
<v Speaker 2>think that's a long shot. And he's not heel at
<v Speaker 2>the moment. They've turned him face, So how does that work?
<v Speaker 2>I mean, I guess maybe normal rules don't apply. But
<v Speaker 2>let's see backstage with Kathy and she's got Mellow and
<v Speaker 2>asks him what a win would mean to him next week.
<v Speaker 2>He says that seen as a goat and there is
<v Speaker 2>a long line to face him, but he's in it.
<v Speaker 2>He says he knows if he gets the shot, he
<v Speaker 2>won't miss. He's approached by Bronson Reed, who tells him
<v Speaker 2>that he's going to beat Cody for the title tonight
<v Speaker 2>and then he's going to destroy Mellow last week. I
<v Speaker 2>don't see that working out for him like he wants.
<v Speaker 2>But let's see. We've got promo from Alistair Black. He's
<v Speaker 2>with Zelena and he addresses Priest. He says that he
<v Speaker 2>tried to crush him. He says that Priest is the
<v Speaker 2>only one who feels fear. Zelena said they told him
<v Speaker 2>that they would force him to break his code, and
<v Speaker 2>he did. Black says that he's putting the locker room
<v Speaker 2>on notice, that he's everyone's enemy. Not totally sure what
<v Speaker 2>to do with that. Please. Black is getting some TV
<v Speaker 2>time and the move to put him with Selena seems
<v Speaker 2>to be working, so let's see what's next for him.
<v Speaker 2>But he did have his title shot last week and
<v Speaker 2>he lost, so I'm not sure that him put in
<v Speaker 2>the whole rest of the locker room on notice means
<v Speaker 2>a massive amount. But let's see. As I said, please
<v Speaker 2>to see Alistair Black getting some TV time. The thing
<v Speaker 2>with Zelena seems to be working, so that's good. What's
<v Speaker 2>next for Priest, I don't know. I would love to
<v Speaker 2>see him getting into the main event picture, but that
<v Speaker 2>doesn't seem all that likely right now. But let's see
<v Speaker 2>how that all plays out. Main event time now, and
<v Speaker 2>with only ten minutes left on the show, it would
<v Speaker 2>be interesting to see where this goes. And actually, by
<v Speaker 2>the time we've done the entrance and the commercial breaks,
<v Speaker 2>I think this was about the sum total of under
<v Speaker 2>six minutes long. This one kicks off with Cody and
<v Speaker 2>some of his punches, but he is soon outpowered by Reed,
<v Speaker 2>who completely squishes him. Cody is flattened again outside the ring.
<v Speaker 2>He does make a comeback though, hitting the avalanche Cody
<v Speaker 2>Cutter and getting himself a good two count. As predicted,
<v Speaker 2>we get Breaker and Pulled down to the ring and
<v Speaker 2>they start to beat down on Cody after forcing the
<v Speaker 2>Dky finish and then outcome the USOS to even things up.
<v Speaker 2>They do a decent job of clearing out Logan, Paul
<v Speaker 2>and Braun, Breaker going for the tables to make the
<v Speaker 2>crowd go nuts. Logan is just about to be put
<v Speaker 2>through the table, which, let's be honest, didn't we all
<v Speaker 2>want to just see him going for a table. When
<v Speaker 2>we get Drew McIntyre showing up and ruining everything as
<v Speaker 2>per and this week he wears black, last week he
<v Speaker 2>wore white. I don't know if that's significant. Nick storms
<v Speaker 2>down to ringside starts shouting at Hayman, and so it
<v Speaker 2>looks like we've got McIntyre added to the war Games team.
<v Speaker 2>We end up with McIntyre being handed the Wargames contract,
<v Speaker 2>so that's happening, But what about him being suspended? I
<v Speaker 2>guess like Hayman just gets to make rules willy nilly anyway,
<v Speaker 2>So we've got Drew now on the Wargames team. The
<v Speaker 2>crowd are chanting for the OTC and I'm fairly sure
<v Speaker 2>that will happen, and we're going to end up with
<v Speaker 2>Roman maybe on the face team for war Games this year.
<v Speaker 2>But let's see. Look, I've though this was a much
<v Speaker 2>better show this week. I mean, the brand split is
<v Speaker 2>about as far down the toilet as it could possibly get.
<v Speaker 2>But Comms tried their best to explain it all away
<v Speaker 2>by saying, well, you know wargames, so that's the thing.
<v Speaker 2>I mean, it's only what is it like, a couple
<v Speaker 2>of weeks to Wargames, so you know, we can let
<v Speaker 2>that go. I guess it is joint teams, so it
<v Speaker 2>does make a little bit of sense, but not a
<v Speaker 2>whole bunch of sense. I like how the men's and
<v Speaker 2>women's War Games teams are shaping up, though. Looking forward
<v Speaker 2>to next week's show, see where we go with Chelsea
<v Speaker 2>and the US title run. Jade's mid card title run continues,
<v Speaker 2>she will surely face meetin next week. I heard that
<v Speaker 2>Bianca might be close to a return, so why are
<v Speaker 2>we looking at Jade versus Bianca. Looks like raw is
<v Speaker 2>going to be a good one with Seena's last appearance
<v Speaker 2>on TV, another mystery opponent which I'm fairly sure at
<v Speaker 2>this point is going to be Joe Hendry but might
<v Speaker 2>not be. Tonight's mystery opponent was quite a surprise to
<v Speaker 2>me certainly, and we continue to ramp up for War
<v Speaker 2>Games and then pretty much straight into Saturday Night's main event,
<v Speaker 2>seen A's last Last Hurrah, So all in all, not
<v Speaker 2>too bad at the moment. I'm going to be really
<v Speaker 2>interested in hearing Matt's opinions on how the show actually
<v Speaker 2>went over live, because as we know, we don't always
<v Speaker 2>get a completely accurate representation on TV or Netflix or whatever,
<v Speaker 2>because obviously, WWE, you are able to manipulate the crowd,
<v Speaker 2>sounds and stuff. But I would be really interested to
<v Speaker 2>hear from him, So I'll certainly be tuning into all
<v Speaker 2>the other shows of the WWE Podcast this week. So guys,
<v Speaker 2>that just about does it for this week's show. Thank
<v Speaker 2>you as always for having me in your ears once again,
<v Speaker 2>and remember, until next time, be kind.
