Episode 38 - Tyranids pt 2 - Genestealers, Tyranid Invasions, and key units.
On todays episode we continue our dive into the lore of Tyranids with a focus on the stages of a tyrranid invasion, and key units of the army. We start with a dive into the stages of a genestealer invasion. Then we focus on the stages of a tyrranid invasion of a planet (spoiler alert it sucks) we then spend some time talking about how terrible the concept of Zoats were. We then finish up by talking about some of the key units of the tyrranid army.

[SPEAKER_00]: Welcome to the Forty-K-Lore cast. [SPEAKER_00]: Welcome to Forty-K-Lore cast with me, John Barassadian, Brad Chester. [SPEAKER_00]: This guy! [SPEAKER_00]: That was take four. [SPEAKER_00]: Is it so everyone knows? [SPEAKER_00]: how you need four takes on that, insert your own ideas there, and they were all my fault. [SPEAKER_03]: The rest of the time, they are my fault. [SPEAKER_00]: That's been entirely my fault, screwing up one sentence three straight times anyway. [SPEAKER_00]: What's the present? [SPEAKER_00]: This is I welcome the part two of our tier and head coverage as always. [SPEAKER_00]: Like and subscribe to the cast. [SPEAKER_00]: I it only takes a second, but it really does help our algorithm out a lot and pushes out to a lot more people. [SPEAKER_03]: Look, I have to say this. [SPEAKER_03]: It's bananas man. [SPEAKER_03]: And this is my new term, banana pants. [SPEAKER_03]: But it helps weirdly like a crazy amount. [SPEAKER_03]: Like a like and subscribe, changes who we show up for. [SPEAKER_03]: And it's a big deal for us. [SPEAKER_00]: The way we get ranked, the way that everything comes out. [SPEAKER_00]: It's a nothing thing. [SPEAKER_00]: We've lost you guys zero dollars. [SPEAKER_00]: It just helps us a lot. [SPEAKER_00]: So we really do appreciate that. [SPEAKER_00]: Additionally, I think that is cost you nothing and actually benefits us nothing but it's just fun. [SPEAKER_00]: These are discord. [SPEAKER_00]: Please join that. [SPEAKER_00]: If you haven't so far, it's really grown massively. [SPEAKER_00]: I think we've doubled membership in like a month. [SPEAKER_03]: One of us might be putting the link in all of his cast that he does on YouTube. [SPEAKER_03]: That does help. [SPEAKER_03]: The other one does not cast on YouTube. [SPEAKER_01]: I should actually be doing way better. [SPEAKER_00]: So you're putting in my LinkedIn profile. [SPEAKER_00]: We just confused my entire industry. [SPEAKER_00]: So anyway. [SPEAKER_00]: But it is expanding without it. [SPEAKER_00]: We're adding more channels as we go. [SPEAKER_00]: So if you have questions on lore, modeling, gameplay or anything else, it's a great place to come in. [SPEAKER_03]: In questions for future. [SPEAKER_03]: Yes, we are. [SPEAKER_03]: We, we literally take all. [SPEAKER_00]: We're taking all of your guys suggestions. [SPEAKER_00]: It comes at me before this cast, but I'm not discussing what we do after tyrannies. [SPEAKER_00]: And we were going through the comments written in discord. [SPEAKER_00]: That's where we're taking our inspiration from. [SPEAKER_03]: We literally go from where you want to, you guys want us to go. [SPEAKER_03]: We take, hey, do you want to do a factions? [SPEAKER_03]: What would you like to see? [SPEAKER_03]: Also, you've literally written full episodes based on, hey, so and so asked this question, which made me ask twenty two other questions. [SPEAKER_00]: Oh, yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: You guys rabbit hole me hard. [SPEAKER_00]: You know, I'll be your understand, like how much time I spend just staring into the abyss of code access. [SPEAKER_00]: Like, [SPEAKER_00]: It is, it is fun by reading a PDF of a nineteen ninety-day codex. [SPEAKER_00]: Just go, and why, why was that answer? [SPEAKER_00]: And then, they were exceptionally well written. [SPEAKER_00]: The same with single play. [SPEAKER_00]: I've got video games. [SPEAKER_00]: Every video game used to come with a manual. [SPEAKER_00]: That was awesome. [SPEAKER_00]: It was great, but anyway. [SPEAKER_00]: Another one too is for Brad here, those of you who want to play Forty Kay on other table top or on the table top simulator. [SPEAKER_03]: Just interested, period. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, just and all Brad is an exceptional coach for this. [SPEAKER_00]: He does provide professional coaching for Forty Kay. [SPEAKER_00]: You can find his link on the Fortycast on the Forty Kay lowercast.com or you can try and figure out [SPEAKER_03]: Old man Brad Forty Kay at jmail.com. [SPEAKER_03]: You will for sure remember that screw you John. [SPEAKER_03]: It's easy to know. [SPEAKER_00]: And then you get to the face I'm making as he says something has that nice syllables. [SPEAKER_00]: Anyway, but Brad does have lots of coaching available. [SPEAKER_00]: It is a wonderful resource especially if you're either just getting into the game or you've gotten into the game. [SPEAKER_00]: You just don't really fully grasp the game. [SPEAKER_00]: He's very good. [SPEAKER_03]: And one of the things I want to point out that I do in coaching, because we have a lot of team events coming up, I will, I have done, and I will do more of hopefully, a lot of group coachings for people that are trying to get into team events or just groups that are trying to get into the game. [SPEAKER_03]: As a group, like if your group is just starting in Forty Kay, I'm more than willing to meet with all of the people in your group and let's just go over how a game of Forty Kay works and just things of that nature. [SPEAKER_00]: You don't even need John's coaching. [SPEAKER_00]: All the days cast. [SPEAKER_00]: So, as we did last week, we discussed the back and the ternids, how they function, why we think they're in the galaxy and where they appear to be going. [SPEAKER_00]: Today, we want to jump into what happens when the ternids actually arrive at your planet or system? [SPEAKER_00]: The answer is nothing good. [SPEAKER_00]: It's not great. [SPEAKER_00]: It's not great. [SPEAKER_00]: That's, we'll just leave. [SPEAKER_03]: Also, if you haven't read, right, if you haven't listened to the last episode, why do you want this one? [SPEAKER_03]: Also, skip to the end. [SPEAKER_03]: Yes. [SPEAKER_03]: Because the fan theory part is probably my favorite. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, right. [SPEAKER_00]: Still high off of that. [SPEAKER_03]: I'm super. [SPEAKER_03]: We're doing another cast when I should never do another cast based on my excitement of fan theories. [SPEAKER_00]: Right now. [SPEAKER_00]: So we're gonna dive, but yeah, as we dive into this invasion, one thing I do wanna point it, it does determine a little bit. [SPEAKER_00]: We're here, we're gonna touch a little bit on some addition changes. [SPEAKER_00]: We talked about this in the first cast. [SPEAKER_00]: This faction has existed since the early nineties. [SPEAKER_00]: I think they've got one of, they may have more codexes than any group outside of chaos and space marine. [SPEAKER_00]: They may, you didn't have more than L-DAR. [SPEAKER_00]: It's one of those weird ones cause some additions you didn't get a codex emissions you did. [SPEAKER_00]: So we've got a lot of weird lore that's going to kind of overlap here and I write these things based off of code access. [SPEAKER_00]: So if those you haven't figured out yet, I just take all the code access and that's what I like to read because they're fun. [SPEAKER_01]: True story. [SPEAKER_00]: And tears don't make great hero novels because they don't have heroes. [SPEAKER_01]: Exactly. [SPEAKER_00]: So if you, someone's going to be like old one I got damaged. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, the old one I novel of. [SPEAKER_03]: The most insidious, the most changed. [SPEAKER_03]: But what I like about the fact that the gene sealer has been retkind a million times, but I love it because retkind a gene sealer is okay because gene sealer's main function is to change the DNA of. [SPEAKER_00]: Oh, no. [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, this is this is the fun. [SPEAKER_03]: But even back in the day, they were still infecting. [SPEAKER_00]: Oh, that's true. [SPEAKER_03]: That's why they were always the old rule of, Billy's acting for sergeant's acting funny, because they used to be able to pop out [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, and these white dwarfies first appeared, but the first very first model of the Tierney army was a gene stealer. [SPEAKER_00]: And this was as we talked about some space Hulk. [SPEAKER_00]: Yep, incredible game. [SPEAKER_00]: We talked about last cast. [SPEAKER_00]: And you know what, it's good enough. [SPEAKER_00]: We're going to talk about it again this cast. [SPEAKER_03]: Because it's so super fun to get out of the game. [SPEAKER_03]: I know he said this in the very last episode, but if you have access to play space home, just play a game. [SPEAKER_03]: It's a really fun time. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I mean, it is they predated the theory of being a faction. [SPEAKER_00]: Originally, the genesis were a one-off. [SPEAKER_03]: They were just alien. [SPEAKER_00]: They were aliens that were literally on a space hole. [SPEAKER_00]: And that's all they were. [SPEAKER_00]: And then GW developed them. [SPEAKER_00]: And I'm again, it gives them massive credit here. [SPEAKER_00]: They did it really well. [SPEAKER_00]: The gene stories, they wrote, they did have to retcon some pieces of it. [SPEAKER_00]: But for the most part, they were able to make, they took them from what was a, [SPEAKER_00]: Alien on a spaceship. [SPEAKER_00]: And there's actually, in some ways it reminds me a lot of like the movie alien to aliens. [SPEAKER_00]: We're gonna skip aliens. [SPEAKER_03]: They evolved. [SPEAKER_00]: And for and go right to Prometheus. [SPEAKER_00]: But I would disappoint that. [SPEAKER_00]: More than alien three. [SPEAKER_00]: I don't know. [SPEAKER_03]: I don't acknowledge that movie exists. [SPEAKER_02]: Sorry. [SPEAKER_00]: One of my really good friends is up with Matrix. [SPEAKER_00]: He's like, there is no Matrix two or three. [SPEAKER_00]: I'm never talking about it. [SPEAKER_00]: I have no idea what these movies are referring to. [SPEAKER_00]: It's a stand-alone. [SPEAKER_00]: It was a stand-alone. [SPEAKER_00]: There was never a sequel. [SPEAKER_00]: You're out of your mind. [SPEAKER_00]: But so, G.S. [SPEAKER_00]: Lewis have now been flipped over to being the Vanguard of the Tiered Invasion. [SPEAKER_03]: Which, while are we right, fits perfect. [SPEAKER_03]: That one, exactly. [SPEAKER_03]: This is one of their best red cons because it just smoothly goes in. [SPEAKER_03]: Because what the G.S.D.L.S.R. [SPEAKER_03]: is, the Vanguard, they forward deploying [SPEAKER_03]: But also, they have a purpose. [SPEAKER_03]: They are exact. [SPEAKER_03]: They are designed with a make more of you, in fact, they infect. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, they infect them. [SPEAKER_00]: Take over. [SPEAKER_03]: But also, the genes killers are also more insidious than this because the genes killers are supposed to infect. [SPEAKER_03]: We're not talking, you know, just alien where somebody pops out of the chest. [SPEAKER_03]: No, genes killers were in charge of finding out information about what we're invading. [SPEAKER_00]: and making our Jane series. [SPEAKER_00]: Although that bit we're going into that bit's been kind of moved around. [SPEAKER_00]: True. [SPEAKER_00]: So from all the cast we're going to do this one and Eldar, I mean the most charity her Brad and I because we've been playing the game longer than reading the most long enough that we're going to be like, you know, it totally said that that was nineteen ninety eight version. [UNKNOWN]: Damn it. [SPEAKER_03]: You're like, you made a change in the last twenty five years. [SPEAKER_03]: This is bullshit. [SPEAKER_00]: Stupid Gen Z. [SPEAKER_00]: There are no sucks wearing shoes, which is a thing that still bothers me because I'm old. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it's just really bothers me. [SPEAKER_00]: Sorry. [SPEAKER_00]: You guys are listening feel free to make a comment that this is weird. [SPEAKER_00]: We're excited. [SPEAKER_00]: You want to know how you feel here on an old man. [SPEAKER_00]: You see someone wearing dress shoes and no socks and bothers you. [SPEAKER_00]: Why do I care? [SPEAKER_00]: but it does. [SPEAKER_00]: Anyway, I grew shoes, continues to lose whole purpose to save the stage for its turn in invasion. [SPEAKER_00]: We talked the last episode of Space Hulk. [SPEAKER_00]: So what they do is they're going to a deep hibernation and just sit inside these space hulks until they detect the life form coming in. [SPEAKER_03]: And this was wild for it again. [SPEAKER_03]: As I was before, Tannins became something that was in the galaxy itself. [SPEAKER_00]: And I need to, I didn't look it up and I should of what year the movie Alien came out. [SPEAKER_00]: First is the year this got written. [SPEAKER_00]: But once there were nineteen eighty-six, I know that was the alien. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, so alien was, yeah, it's okay. [SPEAKER_00]: They stole us from alien. [SPEAKER_00]: It's all right. [SPEAKER_00]: It's a good movie. [SPEAKER_00]: But the idea, seventy-nine. [SPEAKER_00]: It was seventy-nine? [SPEAKER_00]: Wow, it's older than me. [SPEAKER_00]: That's impressive. [SPEAKER_00]: Not you. [SPEAKER_00]: Not me. [SPEAKER_00]: Not you. [SPEAKER_00]: It's older than me. [SPEAKER_00]: Not by a lot. [SPEAKER_00]: But they beat me. [SPEAKER_00]: So anyway, the point being is just like an alien you have a ship that just kind of drifts throughout the galaxy. [SPEAKER_00]: And when another being walks into it, all the beings inside wake up. [SPEAKER_03]: But with the best part about it is, they don't just wake up and mindlessly attack, they wake up and lure you into tracks. [SPEAKER_00]: That's what we're going to do. [SPEAKER_00]: So the best case scenario is you find a space Hulk, you do what they've made with the board games, tell us you do. [SPEAKER_00]: Get a bunch of terminators and kill anything in that moves on the entire ship. [SPEAKER_00]: Because surprise, this is also a cast about you, so they're called. [SPEAKER_03]: Which is, you know, screw this, I'm segueing. [SPEAKER_03]: Gene Stealer Colt is the scariest thing in all of Forty Kay. [SPEAKER_03]: I know, watch this, demons exist in Forty Kay. [SPEAKER_03]: Gene Stealer Colt is still scarier. [SPEAKER_03]: And this is why. [SPEAKER_03]: Gene Stealer Colt's invade planets. [SPEAKER_03]: We're going to talk about a lot of this. [SPEAKER_03]: But Gene's dealer cult have generational plans. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_03]: They, in fact, the guy that runs the power plant, the janitor, the guy that's the assistant to the president. [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, we did the cast right. [SPEAKER_00]: It's Zinch. [SPEAKER_03]: It's yet. [SPEAKER_00]: But alien Z. But alien Z. But alien Z. I'm willing to slow play this game to make my victory that much. [SPEAKER_03]: But it's so crazy. [SPEAKER_03]: That's why it's so, because when a Jean's Taylor invasion actually goes into play, everybody has their, hey, those are my three best friends. [SPEAKER_00]: You're like, um, actually those were Jean's dealers. [SPEAKER_00]: And so yeah, let's talk about kind of what Jean sort of a cult invasion does. [SPEAKER_00]: So first off, Jean's list, they're not there to consume a planet. [SPEAKER_00]: They're there to seed it and prepare it. [SPEAKER_00]: For the planet. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, for it's here to invade. [SPEAKER_00]: They take over the planet and then they light the beacon. [SPEAKER_00]: Jesus are not there to kill off and consume a planet. [SPEAKER_00]: They're just there to seed it and set it for a term to invasion. [SPEAKER_00]: The gene still has come in a few different forms, but one of the key ones is what we call a pure strain. [SPEAKER_00]: The game also see them as if you play theories and there's as per alerts. [SPEAKER_00]: So a pure strain gene sort. [SPEAKER_00]: It's just it's a huge huge. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it's a large gene stealer. [SPEAKER_00]: They've got psychic, and they've got these really weird combo power that sort of touches the table, talking, Brad, you tell me if they, I mean, I guess intense, they've kind of got it. [SPEAKER_03]: Well, in the old psyche power, it used to be able to take control of things, which is one of the main powers, which is [SPEAKER_03]: They, they effectively give you amnesia after they give you a command that you just do. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: And one thing on the table about it, I think, tenth edition tiered in brood lords, they have fight first, which I guess would kind of fall into this category. [SPEAKER_03]: Because your dumb phone, if you call my ass. [SPEAKER_00]: Effectively, what a brood lords can do, or because I'm going to call them brood lords, because I play tiered in it's not cheap. [SPEAKER_00]: So I call it, but what a, or a peer shrink can do is they look you in the eyes and you, you, you actually, you are paralyzed and you lose memory, like from a period of time before till it's over. [SPEAKER_03]: What they then they don't even just do let's be honest [SPEAKER_03]: that may hurt like, oh, no, let me push the glass. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, they don't give you just memory loss. [SPEAKER_03]: They alter your memories because a lot of times when you meet a pure string G, so you need a jeans dealer, which should be terrifying, but your memory does not remember that. [SPEAKER_03]: You just met with Ted. [SPEAKER_03]: And you go back to work as the guy that works for the president, the union guy, the head of electronics. [SPEAKER_03]: You know what I mean? [SPEAKER_03]: You go back to your regular job, but you are now infected. [SPEAKER_03]: And you think you just met with some dude. [SPEAKER_00]: And the infection is a cool thing. [SPEAKER_00]: So every Brue Lord pure strain has a special tongue with a at the very tip is like a microscopic needle. [SPEAKER_00]: And they flip this thing out and it just jabs this but this is so gross. [SPEAKER_00]: It's gross. [SPEAKER_00]: It jabs with a little and it affects some genes into you. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, but it changes you at a genetic level. [SPEAKER_00]: This does not work the way this is not how science works. [SPEAKER_00]: Anyway, shape or form. [SPEAKER_00]: But it doesn't, this is what it happens in the book. [SPEAKER_00]: And again, it is. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: So the seed actually begins to change the genetic makeup of the victim. [SPEAKER_00]: And this is why we call them gene stealers. [SPEAKER_00]: It's because they actually feel your genetic code and change it to their own. [SPEAKER_00]: So this moves us into stage one of a gene still in infection. [SPEAKER_00]: So [SPEAKER_00]: Again, we'll be talking talk about before. [SPEAKER_00]: Space Hulk comes in a bunch of scavengers rush to the ship and say, because sometimes these ships are dropping out of the warp and they will drop back into the warp and you don't want to be on a ship with no gather field when it jumps back into the warp. [SPEAKER_03]: It's a big deal on this because this is the it goes back into alien aliens. [SPEAKER_03]: You just won hooray you killed all the jeans still as you got out alive. [SPEAKER_03]: You a couple years friends. [SPEAKER_03]: I don't know it depends on the day. [SPEAKER_03]: It depends on what you want. [SPEAKER_03]: You know what I want this I want this in the discord which one is better alien aliens because they are two wildly different movies just like but [SPEAKER_03]: But the big thing is, is that this is what the Jean-Silly's do. [SPEAKER_03]: You think you won the day, but... Yeah. [SPEAKER_03]: I got a stab right behind my ear. [SPEAKER_00]: It's even more insidious than I said. [SPEAKER_00]: You'll leave the ship, because it may have only been one Jean-Silly, because the game, the game, the game, the space Hulk, you're fighting, they're fighting you back. [SPEAKER_00]: But in some of the game, the ideas are actually only one purest train. [SPEAKER_00]: You're just hiding in there. [SPEAKER_00]: And he sneaks out of a passageway, jabs you with a tongue, and let's get one of you by the way. [SPEAKER_00]: And you might kill him afterwards. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, and then goes back in. [SPEAKER_00]: You have no idea what happened to you, but it's the bread's point. [SPEAKER_00]: We scavenged this ship. [SPEAKER_00]: We got a bunch of cool stuff. [SPEAKER_00]: This is awesome. [SPEAKER_00]: Let's let's, you know, and now we're going to leave the space hall before free booters show up. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, because that won't end well. [SPEAKER_00]: And so, but it also could be, it's like one, there could be dozens, hundreds of pure strains, infecting everyone who comes on the ship. [SPEAKER_00]: So with thousands of people come on the ship in nine hundred eighty leave the ship fully infected with it, with it with zero idea. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: And there is no outward signs. [SPEAKER_00]: Like you don't, you can't tell anything's wrong with this person. [SPEAKER_00]: Although this is serious. [SPEAKER_03]: I was just going to say, there's levels of [SPEAKER_03]: It would change stealer corruption now. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I don't mean to. [SPEAKER_03]: Gene's Taylor codex. [SPEAKER_03]: Sorry. [SPEAKER_03]: It's a good codex. [SPEAKER_03]: But there's also levels of Gene's Taylor. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I don't like this because so the way it was written originally is just like movie ailing. [SPEAKER_00]: The face hug or gets you. [SPEAKER_00]: If no one knows the face hug or was on you, they just find you afterwards and you just wander around. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_03]: It's an extra look up the rule everyone. [SPEAKER_03]: It was an old rule. [SPEAKER_03]: Sarge is acting funny. [SPEAKER_03]: And a character would just turn into a Gene's Taylor. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, they go go modern forty k they flipped this a little bit so now after you've been infected your skin tone is kind of pale or bluish again you have levels yeah, you have everything for pure strain to know that this is this is the infection. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I'm saying which I'm just like B. S. I'm saying even with this it goes with like kind of levels yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: Anyway, so you can imagine what happens now is that these people are, they may leave the ship. [SPEAKER_00]: These are not like, these are road traders largely or, you know, these are space pirates, whatever. [SPEAKER_00]: These are people who are extremely nomadic. [SPEAKER_00]: But this infection does two things to you. [SPEAKER_00]: The first one is it actually makes you desperately want to reproduce. [SPEAKER_03]: But also makes you weirdly nomadic. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, it makes you more nomadic because you are going to have some weird changes than if you were in public would be a real, you're fine. [SPEAKER_00]: Your kids going to be weird looking. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: And brave them in a second. [SPEAKER_00]: So what happens is these people tend to just all leave the space Hulk drop off their goods and then go form a colony somewhere or move to the under hive or move to the they move against a big group. [SPEAKER_00]: and they go there and all that they're looking to do is procreate procreate. [SPEAKER_00]: Why? [SPEAKER_00]: Well, [SPEAKER_00]: So these are their offspring. [SPEAKER_00]: So these are the first generation. [SPEAKER_00]: It's three arm wheels. [SPEAKER_00]: And so what these look like is, you're just to save us the time of explaining it. [SPEAKER_00]: Go to GW's website. [SPEAKER_00]: Look up acclite hybrids. [SPEAKER_00]: Yep. [SPEAKER_00]: That's what these are. [SPEAKER_00]: They're acclite hybrids. [SPEAKER_00]: They are, they are a tiered skin tone. [SPEAKER_00]: But also they've got multiple arms. [SPEAKER_03]: Well, we added [SPEAKER_03]: We're doing a disservice here because one of the biggest things is they're genetically predisposed to be wildly loyal. [SPEAKER_00]: Oh, we forgot that. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, the parents of these. [SPEAKER_00]: Well, the two things, one, the parents of these ones who are infected have an insane desire to protect these children and raise. [SPEAKER_03]: And they don't know why. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: And these children and then have a psychic link. [SPEAKER_00]: It's not strong, but it's there. [SPEAKER_03]: But also, they have, again, genetically coded to do what they're supposed to do. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: And Malonaki, they are about five to six limbs. [SPEAKER_00]: So that's two legs and three to four arms. [SPEAKER_00]: They are, they have what looks like a geese or it's mouth. [SPEAKER_00]: They're just full of razor sharp teeth. [SPEAKER_00]: They're basically beasts. [SPEAKER_00]: They. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, it depends on what I'm going to try. [SPEAKER_03]: I know, but there's multiple levels on the continuum. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: So this is, [SPEAKER_00]: This is the first generation, and there are, you know, again, you're talking if we had a hundred people infected with this, there's at this thousands. [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, that's how many are making of these. [SPEAKER_00]: It is a non-stop process. [SPEAKER_00]: We've moved to the thousands of these. [SPEAKER_00]: The next piece, though, is what happens in the stage three of the infection. [SPEAKER_00]: This is when the male Ignaqi [SPEAKER_00]: begin breeding with each other. [SPEAKER_00]: As we said before, this is usually happening somewhere where no one can see them. [SPEAKER_00]: They're on an abandoned planet under high. [SPEAKER_03]: Let's keep pushing it for it because at the farther they get along, weirdly. [SPEAKER_00]: the more the human. [SPEAKER_00]: Exactly. [SPEAKER_00]: So the next page after the MacLeague Nockey come in are called our actual hybrids. [SPEAKER_00]: I don't know why GW made me have to say, Nayleg Nockey and then went out of hybrid after that. [SPEAKER_00]: I could have just said, you know, anything else, Proto hybrid. [SPEAKER_00]: I don't care. [SPEAKER_00]: Words that I can actually pronounce easily. [SPEAKER_00]: Instead, they did their usual random word and let it's in fake Latin followed by, that was too hard to write. [SPEAKER_00]: Why bother with again? [SPEAKER_03]: I like the fact that you [SPEAKER_01]: made it a point to say fake land. [SPEAKER_01]: It's fake land. [SPEAKER_00]: It's like, that's your go-to. [SPEAKER_00]: Well, because that's what it is, mainly knackies. [SPEAKER_00]: I know what they're trying to do here, but just I also can conjugate and Latin, because I went to school in the nineties. [SPEAKER_00]: So it was, it was a funny space land job. [SPEAKER_00]: Nobody. [SPEAKER_00]: It's narrow. [SPEAKER_00]: There's an old joke about that. [SPEAKER_00]: My coffee priest is back in Italy. [SPEAKER_00]: He's struggling to communicate. [SPEAKER_00]: So he just gives up and speaks the guy and Latin, and then the guy looks into us. [SPEAKER_00]: Wow, you've been here in a while, huh? [SPEAKER_00]: Anyway, the hybrids, they're still not human-looking, but much less than the men like you. [SPEAKER_00]: They have the mostly human faces, you know, eyes. [SPEAKER_03]: One of the biggest things is that these guys can, from a distance, just pass. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_03]: So they can just be, if you look at the models in Forty Kay, they, they were cloaks. [SPEAKER_03]: They were hoods. [SPEAKER_00]: Right, because they've still got, you know, again, they still are like, some of them actually only have four limbs. [SPEAKER_00]: Most are closer to five. [SPEAKER_00]: Skin tone is off. [SPEAKER_00]: They're not quite, you know, it's still probably, yeah, it's a purple. [SPEAKER_00]: Which is by the way, the same thing to me. [SPEAKER_00]: And to Brad, it's the same model. [SPEAKER_00]: So they're a high level. [SPEAKER_00]: So these ones, though, the acolytes do have a much higher level of intelligence. [SPEAKER_00]: They actually can do manual labor, whereas this is the scariest thing though. [SPEAKER_03]: multiples, there's tons of, if you want to go inspect, and this is a big thing in a lot of the stories, by the way, you have, especially if you read some of the Inquisition novels, because they do backtracks and they read histories and stuff like that, what happens is is the accolades infiltrate the crews that work on the sewers, the guys that work on the electric power lines, [SPEAKER_03]: and they effectively, they want an entire crew of the guys that work on sector C's power grid to just be accolades. [SPEAKER_00]: Well, and this is actually one of the coolest things because one of my favorite pieces of all this lore is that [SPEAKER_00]: the at this stage, the geese-letter cult infection is really good for the imperium. [SPEAKER_00]: Because the accolades, for example, they have an extra arm. [SPEAKER_00]: They're also supernaturally strong. [SPEAKER_03]: They're also resistant to radiation. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, and then one of the biggest pieces is they're desperately trying to avoid detection. [SPEAKER_00]: That's one of the best workers ever. [SPEAKER_00]: One of the best ways that the Ethereum never come check on your shit is to over produce your quota. [SPEAKER_00]: They will never check on you. [SPEAKER_00]: There are just like that is, you know, we are, it's a Schrodinger scenario. [SPEAKER_00]: I don't want to know what's going on. [SPEAKER_00]: I don't care what's going on, but it's fine. [SPEAKER_03]: I have to give the as usual weird Brad segway off. [SPEAKER_03]: Does the inquisition know this is happening, but they know they're getting a good hundred plus years of over-quoted of work? [SPEAKER_00]: And they're like, the inquisition knows it's happening and the inquisition going like, they're not going to let me do anything about this. [SPEAKER_03]: They're like, these guys are crushing it right now. [SPEAKER_00]: You effectively have, I would assume it's not going to be a full blown high world, because that's certain when you pick it up. [SPEAKER_00]: But let's say it's an angry world. [SPEAKER_00]: And this one angry world is out producing every angry world by like a power of four. [SPEAKER_00]: You know something's up. [SPEAKER_00]: But like, but I've got food and how do you think? [SPEAKER_03]: But also you have you have historical reference for it. [SPEAKER_03]: So you know that nothing's going to happen for seventy five to a hundred years. [SPEAKER_03]: We can just exceed quota for that. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: Thirty years will exterminate us before right now, like we should do this, right? [SPEAKER_03]: So we're going to get some good numbers, guys. [SPEAKER_00]: At this stage, I mean, this is the best way to put it is that at this stage, the geysler cult infection is one of the best things going on for the impact. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it's like whatever these guys are producing, they are hammering through. [SPEAKER_00]: But then we get to stage four of the infection where it starts to, where this is where it, this is a crest and get ugly. [SPEAKER_00]: So these ones become the hybrids become what are called true hybrids. [SPEAKER_00]: And yet they're totally phoning this in. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I want to point this out. [SPEAKER_00]: I went from pure string James Taylor to Malignaki [SPEAKER_00]: to hybrid to true hybrid. [SPEAKER_00]: But the Jesus, guys, put it in any way. [SPEAKER_00]: These look the most human. [SPEAKER_00]: They stand up right. [SPEAKER_00]: They mostly are normal because the last one of the hybrids are hunched over. [SPEAKER_00]: That's right. [SPEAKER_03]: But these guys that are can actually work fairly close to everybody. [SPEAKER_03]: They're like, this is the janitorial cream. [SPEAKER_00]: So these guys in the game would be, you'd see Miss Keller Morph's low guy, if you looking for a model, they kind of damn example. [SPEAKER_00]: They can move within the high of cities because their mutations look normal within a high of city, but they wouldn't be able to infiltrate kind of the upper echelons because they still look enough abhuman because they're not supposed to be there. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, and that's more because of the classist racism of the high world to true. [SPEAKER_00]: One thing that we should also mention is that as we said before, these, each of these are inbreeding with each other. [SPEAKER_00]: So if the original infection made a thousand or a ten thousand, next one's going to make a hundred thousand, we are getting to the stage now where at the stage five, which is the pre-maki. [SPEAKER_00]: We'll be right back after a quick break. [SPEAKER_00]: At this stage, we are talking potentially millions, or if I push maybe pushing into a million. [SPEAKER_03]: I would say it's twenty five plus percent of the planet. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_03]: These went with a pre-market depends on what you're talking about because at this point in time, this is right before they fire the beacon up. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_03]: This is when they take control because these are the people that take the positions of, and I'm doing the air quotes, almost in power. [SPEAKER_03]: These are the guys that are the the aid, the secretary. [SPEAKER_00]: Well, the president, who's this go to person? [SPEAKER_00]: You know who they love taking over the labor. [SPEAKER_00]: Yep. [SPEAKER_00]: It'll be like, you know, the entire, all of your, your, your factories, because as we said, these are, they are trying to avoid detection. [SPEAKER_00]: The best way in the impereing to avoid detection, be a hard worker. [SPEAKER_00]: Yep. [SPEAKER_00]: And so these guys are all over. [SPEAKER_00]: Putting up one of the numbers. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: It's a guy's best to play, but we're had. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_03]: It's, it's the guys that are in charge of sewer, electrical, transportation, logistics, anything. [SPEAKER_00]: Well, you're, you're skipping the big one. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: Imperial Guard. [SPEAKER_00]: They also, these, these are the ones because they're fully human. [SPEAKER_03]: Huge deal on this because one of the big, why are there so in cities? [SPEAKER_03]: We already talked about this in our episode. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_03]: One of my favorite things is why this is so scary is one, your best friend. [SPEAKER_03]: is a James Taylor. [SPEAKER_03]: You didn't know the whole time. [SPEAKER_00]: This is like invasion of the body snatcher type thing. [SPEAKER_00]: But worse because it's not even like it's like they didn't kill your best friend. [SPEAKER_00]: They take his place. [SPEAKER_03]: No, it's just he's been that the whole time. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, he was born. [SPEAKER_00]: Like you guys couldn't you were grown up. [SPEAKER_03]: And then when the fighting starts. [SPEAKER_03]: all of the imperial guard are fighting each other and you have no idea what's going on because your commander is actually a jean stealing and he's explaining to you and he looks super human that all of these people are against us they're trying to kill us you need to kill them and you're like I guess [SPEAKER_03]: They are shooting at us. [SPEAKER_00]: And bad as I'm going to say, actually, even a worst one, they also join the Imperial Navy. [SPEAKER_00]: And we'll get to why that's a problem in a second to stage six, but that means the stage six is literally part two of the movie. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: Well, the issue is that at stage, at this stage, right now, they're now leaving the planet, because as we were discussing, each generation of this infection looks more and more and more human, until a certain part where they look, yeah, completely out of human. [SPEAKER_00]: And the primacy look completely human. [SPEAKER_00]: So they can join. [SPEAKER_00]: And they can spread. [SPEAKER_00]: So this is how the thing is right through the galaxy. [SPEAKER_00]: Once, as you said, they come in on a space Hulk and they do it that way. [SPEAKER_03]: But now, which is also crazy because you got to remember, these are a higher intelligence people. [SPEAKER_03]: So they actually rise up quickly because they're smarter, faster and better than you go. [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, one of my favorite, like, you know, personal viewpoints on this. [SPEAKER_00]: And I made this story up, but screw you all. [SPEAKER_00]: It's still a good one is you could have a space Hulk that was invaded by pirates. [SPEAKER_00]: these pirates then get infected by a genesis, go back to their pirate world, but because the genesis were infection, they decide that, hey, we need to make the Imperium like me. [SPEAKER_00]: They stop being pirates and become a positive world for the Imperium, so they can pull this move off over generation and generation and generation and generation. [SPEAKER_00]: And now here we are. [SPEAKER_00]: We have a group of people who were four generations ago, pirates, [SPEAKER_00]: are now running one of the most productive worlds for the Imperium, which is usually a wow way to turn your life around story, but actually there's screw in the entire Imperium over. [SPEAKER_00]: Then we get to stage six of the infection, which is not the last, but it's another one. [SPEAKER_00]: When the pre-matchee have a child, that child is a pure strengthens dealer, which is gotta be wild for the mom, but continue. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, because that's a fun birth clause. [SPEAKER_00]: That's gotta be great for a uterus. [SPEAKER_00]: I would assume so. [SPEAKER_00]: This means that what happens is once these pre-matches, we just said, have left the planet, even just a couple have left the planet. [SPEAKER_00]: They can have a child, that child will then be a pure strain gene, so which can then begin this cycle again. [SPEAKER_00]: And this is how they're spreading the galaxy massively. [SPEAKER_00]: It's a plague. [SPEAKER_00]: And the pure strains possess a couple key things. [SPEAKER_00]: One, they actually have psychic control over all the other genes to their cults, to who are local. [SPEAKER_03]: They actually, we did this in our episode on that, the pinnacle of that is the Patriarch. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, and they've actually will turn it one of them will turn to a Patriarch. [SPEAKER_00]: Who's on a planet, the Patriarch now becomes like local control for this. [SPEAKER_03]: And dominance, like control, which everybody underneath him, especially the early ones. [SPEAKER_03]: Just worship him as a god. [SPEAKER_03]: It was a cool, they can't help themselves. [SPEAKER_00]: It was a cool story. [SPEAKER_00]: We'll tell the next cast about some of the stuff about like the first time that an inquisitor saw a Patriarch working with geysler calls and what looked like a local revolution and then they saw an alien pointing and telling things where to go. [SPEAKER_00]: Not ideal. [SPEAKER_00]: What happens at this stage? [SPEAKER_00]: This is where they set the stage for the invasion. [SPEAKER_00]: So they're going to start sabotaging weapons. [SPEAKER_00]: They're going to start disrupting movements. [SPEAKER_00]: They're going to poison his May space marine as they possibly can. [SPEAKER_01]: Really? [SPEAKER_01]: Both really? [SPEAKER_01]: That's where we're going with this one. [SPEAKER_00]: It's important if there's any space in this president, at least you want to do, you want to poison their food. [SPEAKER_00]: And then you also want to poison the air. [SPEAKER_00]: Which they're also, you know, to inject them with a poison. [SPEAKER_00]: Which can't poison. [SPEAKER_00]: Yes, especially if they're in a space and what you, the best thing you can do is drop a, drop a cloud of poison on them when they're in their power armor because that also does work apparently. [SPEAKER_03]: You know, we got through a no one episode without you mentioning that. [SPEAKER_00]: And then we immediately go back. [SPEAKER_00]: So, but what they really do though is their numbers are hidden until the hide fleet arrives. [SPEAKER_00]: And when the high of fleet arrives, you have no defenses. [SPEAKER_00]: They come out of nowhere. [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, that's the out of the sea. [SPEAKER_03]: GSC is, I still say this. [SPEAKER_03]: Demons exist and I still think these are more insidious because you aren't allowed to fight because you can fight off demons. [SPEAKER_00]: The differences, like you could, you can have blanks. [SPEAKER_00]: The imperial has defenses against demonic encircle. [SPEAKER_03]: The high fleet shows up and all of a sudden you go [SPEAKER_03]: Let's do this. [SPEAKER_03]: And you have no power. [SPEAKER_03]: You have no logistics. [SPEAKER_03]: You have no sanitation. [SPEAKER_03]: And the all of your defenses are fighting against each other. [SPEAKER_00]: And fifty plus percent of your planet's attacked you. [SPEAKER_03]: Yep. [SPEAKER_00]: And also the more gene sealers, like the literal gene sealers. [SPEAKER_03]: Not also that you sort of called the lights around a communications are down. [SPEAKER_03]: And also, there's no way to get anywhere. [SPEAKER_03]: Logistics are down. [SPEAKER_03]: You have no way to travel. [SPEAKER_03]: And you go, what the hell is happening? [SPEAKER_03]: You lost. [SPEAKER_03]: You don't even get the fight. [SPEAKER_00]: No. [SPEAKER_00]: The truth is that as far as a geese or call infection, you have two apps. [SPEAKER_00]: You have two options. [SPEAKER_00]: One, you have to detect it at very infancy and kill all them off. [SPEAKER_03]: Let's be honest, we look at the game from the lens of the Imperium. [SPEAKER_03]: Step one has never happened ever. [SPEAKER_03]: Unless it's on planet. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_03]: And they don't tell anybody this happened. [SPEAKER_00]: Because step two is kill ever. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, oral environment. [SPEAKER_02]: The only way to be sure. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, that one works well. [SPEAKER_00]: Ordle the environment. [SPEAKER_00]: That is the other option. [SPEAKER_00]: It is that those are your only two options. [SPEAKER_00]: Now, [SPEAKER_00]: One interesting thing that, again, when GW gets stuff right, or from a lower standpoint, I'm going to jump into it. [SPEAKER_00]: So what about other races, which used to their cults? [SPEAKER_00]: Like, can June into their cult affect non-human races? [SPEAKER_00]: And actually, they do call this out. [SPEAKER_00]: So the L-DAR, no, because they don't have enough offspring. [SPEAKER_00]: Like, the process of actually doing a gene-slurion infection on L-DAR would take millions of years. [SPEAKER_03]: So the problem is, is that they've actually touched this before. [SPEAKER_03]: because of the fact that one of the biggest things about a Jean Stealer invasion is that they psychically link elder are already psychically. [SPEAKER_03]: They're like bills infected. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, because of a shoot bill. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, like it lasted eleven minutes. [SPEAKER_03]: You're like, oh, he's clearly messed up. [SPEAKER_00]: Orcs are equally impossible because they don't breed orcs are fungus. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, they also don't care. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: Exactly. [SPEAKER_00]: They're like, oh, he's a Jean Stealer. [SPEAKER_03]: Can you fight? [SPEAKER_03]: Are we going to wreck the infrastructure? [SPEAKER_00]: I don't even know what that means. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, no idea. [SPEAKER_00]: So you're investing the grots. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, we'll just kill them if you mess with me. [SPEAKER_00]: Tao, I'm actually not shooting on them here. [SPEAKER_00]: Here we go. [SPEAKER_00]: The Tao actually have a unique thing because of the crute that are wandering around. [SPEAKER_00]: The crute can actually smell the infection. [SPEAKER_00]: They call this out. [SPEAKER_00]: And so the crute that tickling someone's infected and they kill that. [SPEAKER_00]: And then, well, actually, they don't just point it out. [SPEAKER_00]: They kill that. [SPEAKER_00]: They kill any attack. [SPEAKER_00]: They kill each of them. [SPEAKER_00]: But either way. [SPEAKER_00]: So that's why the geosular cult infection is only an imperial threat. [SPEAKER_00]: I guess it could work for chaos, cultists. [SPEAKER_00]: That'd be a fun one. [SPEAKER_00]: Now, I will say just a quick note from a lore standpoint here as far as a record for our call out the rep concept as they happen. [SPEAKER_01]: I swear to god if we talk about so it's again, I will let you know. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: We're doing so it's in a second. [SPEAKER_00]: It's a fun. [SPEAKER_00]: Anyway, originally in the game, this is actually how serious came to the galaxy. [SPEAKER_00]: It was a gene to do our cult would infect and then they would send signals out. [SPEAKER_00]: And this is when [SPEAKER_03]: They like it was, no, but they like, they still do. [SPEAKER_03]: I mean, this has, this has been recommended, has been recommended because you haven't written it out. [SPEAKER_03]: They still like the beacon. [SPEAKER_00]: Oh, yeah, they still like the beacon, but it's more this piece of it, it seems to be in the modern version. [SPEAKER_00]: Jesus or cult infections aren't really driving the high fleet, but the high fleet is happily going to those worlds. [SPEAKER_03]: I mean, it used to be, that's exactly how any fleet move period. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_03]: Because they went, it jeans dealer invasion and jeans to invasion. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: That's the only way they moved. [SPEAKER_00]: It also the other one too that was this, this one has been read condo was that the, there are certain beings within the tyranny of army that have relations to, you know, certain cases. [SPEAKER_00]: So zone throats are elder by that. [SPEAKER_03]: That's, that's. [SPEAKER_03]: They got knocked out. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, all of these. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, the Cowen Thrope came from Tal. [SPEAKER_00]: Get it. [SPEAKER_00]: I do like that one. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, the Cowen Thrope. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, though, you would. [SPEAKER_00]: But anyway, but this then, this got rough caught out and actually got moved into the DNA of them as being. [SPEAKER_03]: So it's supposed to be terrifying. [SPEAKER_03]: If you've ever played Mass Effect, it was when they [SPEAKER_03]: They did that were they infected their psychic racist. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, exactly. [SPEAKER_00]: But then they just changed it out. [SPEAKER_00]: Which is fine. [SPEAKER_00]: It's actually, I'll be honest, it's better now. [SPEAKER_00]: The old one. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_03]: Yes. [SPEAKER_03]: But it was, it was scary. [SPEAKER_00]: When I wrote the notes, I wrote John hates this so much and after discussing, it turns out Brad hates it more. [SPEAKER_00]: I saw so much more of the notes. [SPEAKER_00]: So we're going to do these guys real quick because she WC randomly brought the model back last year for no reason. [SPEAKER_00]: Anyway. [SPEAKER_03]: I'm willing to, I'm not going to say fight a stranger, but I will try to out drink a stranger if you want to talk about if you meet me at a tournament that you want me to be lively in discussion. [SPEAKER_03]: This is a thing that I've been arguing about wildly before we did the Lord can. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, and I think this is so dumb. [SPEAKER_00]: But on such a great, let's give GW some credit here. [SPEAKER_00]: So we're going to talk about what they did wrong in a second. [SPEAKER_00]: But it right was they wrote these guys out the nineties. [SPEAKER_00]: This is this has been out of the lore for thirty years, which is they should have. [SPEAKER_00]: They should never be in the lore. [SPEAKER_00]: But anyway, real quick, just the quick hit on this. [SPEAKER_00]: So people know what Zot's are. [SPEAKER_00]: They were a [SPEAKER_00]: seemingly tyranny, tyranny, humanoid hybrid. [SPEAKER_00]: So we're already starting not from a good position here. [SPEAKER_00]: They were lizard centars and they were speak galactic common. [SPEAKER_03]: Bricken lizard men infected lizard men was what they were. [SPEAKER_00]: But they were sent to us. [SPEAKER_00]: The lizard men were by people. [SPEAKER_00]: That's had four legs. [SPEAKER_03]: Sure. [SPEAKER_03]: I'm saying, but that was their whole gene. [SPEAKER_00]: I was incredibly stupid. [SPEAKER_00]: And what they were was they were apparently enslaved by the tearned hive mind that would communicate through them. [SPEAKER_00]: So they could then negotiate with other races. [SPEAKER_00]: Which they didn't do at all. [SPEAKER_00]: On behalf of the tearnedids. [SPEAKER_00]: Anyway, I think you're only doing this to mess up. [SPEAKER_00]: I do this because people are like, hey, you forgot Zotes, and I'm going to say I didn't forget so it's I wanted to forget so it's a fine. [SPEAKER_00]: We're doing Zotes and we're doing a quick because they're stupid. [SPEAKER_00]: Anyway, the problem is then the GW did was they eventually wrote like, well, the Zotes existed, but then they rebelled against the tear and it's because they didn't want to be under their yoke and the tear and it's killed them all. [SPEAKER_00]: And you know what? [SPEAKER_00]: I don't miss them. [SPEAKER_00]: So problem solved. [SPEAKER_03]: Because the problem was the only got to kill him once. [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, this was a stupid concept because the ternids are a consuming race at their core. [SPEAKER_00]: All I do is consume. [SPEAKER_00]: There is no negotiation. [SPEAKER_00]: And what makes it also takes away the mystery. [SPEAKER_00]: Right. [SPEAKER_00]: And also, it all takes away one of the coolest things you can't negotiate with them. [SPEAKER_00]: Yes. [SPEAKER_00]: There's a movie that they're there. [SPEAKER_03]: They're abstract. [SPEAKER_03]: You have no idea. [SPEAKER_00]: Oh, he was aliens. [SPEAKER_00]: That's right. [SPEAKER_00]: The movie's aliens. [SPEAKER_00]: You can't negotiate with them. [SPEAKER_00]: I don't know. [SPEAKER_00]: Let's do it. [SPEAKER_00]: That is Terminator. [SPEAKER_00]: It's from Terminator. [SPEAKER_00]: You can't negotiate with them. [SPEAKER_00]: You can't discuss it with them. [SPEAKER_00]: You feel no pity or emotion. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_03]: And they will not stop until your death. [SPEAKER_03]: Yes, it makes it amazing for it. [SPEAKER_03]: It makes them lame when you're like sometimes they like cupcakes. [SPEAKER_00]: When they want to go shape with you and you were listening to this going play. [SPEAKER_00]: Didn't the towel try to go shape with a tear and it's yes, we will get there. [SPEAKER_00]: You think you think I'm going to miss that opportunity to talk shit. [SPEAKER_03]: Not a chance, my friends. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: But anyway, that's the Zotes we're never going to speak of them again. [SPEAKER_03]: And they've been brazenly burnout. [SPEAKER_03]: And the thing is, is that one of my feet screwed this. [SPEAKER_03]: Why hated the Zones and why I love the Ternans? [SPEAKER_03]: I'm not even going to talk about why I hate the Zones anymore. [SPEAKER_03]: Why the Ternans are such a good thing for forty-k in the lore is they are this mysterious entity that you can't negotiate. [SPEAKER_03]: You don't understand what they're doing. [SPEAKER_03]: Right. [SPEAKER_03]: You don't know where they're from. [SPEAKER_03]: You don't, you have no idea where they're here. [SPEAKER_00]: The problem here is that they're just here to kill us and nothing we do outside of kill them works. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, and the thing is, is that they keep showing up in different forms. [SPEAKER_03]: And they're, you're like, I don't know why you're here, but you're also occasionally corrupting our entire societies. [SPEAKER_03]: You're like, what, it would be easier if you were just some guys that they needed to fight, but somehow even though we know nothing about you, right? [SPEAKER_03]: You know everything about us. [SPEAKER_00]: And every time we fight you, you're different, which we get to that in a little bit. [SPEAKER_00]: So let's spend some time though, talking about, so we talked about genes that are called invasion, which I think we missed out as well. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: That's not the only way they invade a planet though. [SPEAKER_00]: So if there's, and even if they are there, there's still stages to a tiered invasion. [SPEAKER_00]: As we said, tier is moved as a single unit. [SPEAKER_03]: You know, wow, are you usually, I usually try to throw out reading material? [SPEAKER_03]: on this one, space marine to the intro. [SPEAKER_03]: Who is a tear and innovation? [SPEAKER_03]: It's actually a really good one. [SPEAKER_03]: It's really good. [SPEAKER_03]: I would try to stay away from that for a little bit because when they delay to the year, I was like, I'm worried about that in a, but if you're doing a tear and innovation, it is tear and it's our, a full tear and it's not put on the pool, tear and it's our in the pool. [SPEAKER_00]: This is a weird segue but I'm gonna do it anyway. [SPEAKER_00]: So I like narrative Forty Kay a lot and this is actually one of the hardest narratives to write as a tiered invasion because it basically consists of player one gets a thousand points. [SPEAKER_00]: Player two gets ten thousand points. [SPEAKER_00]: and reserves like that and endless reserves player one has to survive two rounds. [SPEAKER_00]: That's basically what you do. [SPEAKER_00]: It is tiered invasions are incredible. [SPEAKER_03]: So in tiered don't show up at places that they're not going. [SPEAKER_03]: There's stories of course in the narratives of defending and sternivations, but for the most part, [SPEAKER_03]: They all require miracles. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, there are. [SPEAKER_03]: Turnets don't go places where they aren't going to win. [SPEAKER_00]: I think there's only two invasions. [SPEAKER_03]: Turnets cheat the engagements. [SPEAKER_00]: They break. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it's McCregn ball. [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, they were winning. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, ball just. [SPEAKER_00]: It was a miracle. [SPEAKER_00]: Our next episode we're doing ball balls when my favorite. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_03]: But I'm saying like they don't show up to places that they can't win. [SPEAKER_00]: Because they show up with pure force. [SPEAKER_00]: So, right. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, and this is important. [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, effectively, if the Terriads, a full-scale alternative invasion is effectively unstoppable. [SPEAKER_00]: It's just gonna happen. [SPEAKER_00]: It's so numerous. [SPEAKER_00]: There is no resistance, and even before they begin the invasion, it's what we're going to discuss, they actually infiltrate the planet and begin to undermine the advances. [SPEAKER_00]: So it makes, yeah, so let's start there. [SPEAKER_00]: Let's let's dive into the stage one, which is infiltration. [SPEAKER_00]: So infiltration, this is a side from genesis. [SPEAKER_00]: So we know how the genesis do it, but if there's not a genesis they're called, there's another thing that they use, and they use something called a lecture. [SPEAKER_00]: And likters are crazy. [SPEAKER_03]: likters are cool. [SPEAKER_03]: Speaking of things that are good in the game. [SPEAKER_00]: But oh my god. [SPEAKER_00]: Wow. [SPEAKER_00]: First time I actually find it so fun sort of that I actually played with likters before over the lore and likters. [SPEAKER_00]: I was mad. [SPEAKER_03]: Which you should be genuinely mad because likters are [SPEAKER_03]: the predator on crack. [SPEAKER_00]: It is a, the lifters are a synaptic creature. [SPEAKER_00]: So they can operate outside of the hive mind. [SPEAKER_00]: Either they, it's, it's unknown if they can, if they can communicate vast distances to the hive mind, it seems more likely that they were able to operate without the hive mind interaction. [SPEAKER_03]: They're a camouflage unit and some of these camouflage, some of the best lifters. [SPEAKER_03]: I mean, let's talk about the story. [SPEAKER_03]: I'm screwed. [SPEAKER_03]: I'm going to segue into this. [SPEAKER_03]: The story of the lecture that they have in Imperial custody, that they can't detect it, but they know is inside the room. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: That's that's a lecture. [SPEAKER_00]: It's locked in a room and they can't open the door because they have no idea where on the room it is. [SPEAKER_00]: And they open the door, they know it's going to kill them. [SPEAKER_03]: Yep. [SPEAKER_03]: And they know it's in there. [SPEAKER_03]: But none of their, they're, any, they have no detection of it. [SPEAKER_03]: But they threw, uh, lictor is in there. [SPEAKER_03]: And the thing is that the lictor learns, lictor understands, lictor is trying to figure out everything it can about your society. [SPEAKER_03]: But more importantly, we're your defensive weaknesses. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: So we're lictors are the threats of the community on it. [SPEAKER_00]: He means like the predator. [SPEAKER_00]: They can actually, they can sit and walk this up here. [SPEAKER_00]: The other thing too is they actually can do things like they actually like feed into it and do a planet. [SPEAKER_00]: One of my favorite stories is they can actually eat something's brain and learn their memories. [SPEAKER_01]: They learn how to do that. [SPEAKER_00]: Space Marines. [SPEAKER_00]: That's great. [SPEAKER_00]: They also can do that. [SPEAKER_00]: I'm probably going to poison people. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: Exactly. [SPEAKER_00]: Well, the lifters definitely do poison space Marines. [SPEAKER_00]: That actually they do do. [SPEAKER_00]: So many robots. [SPEAKER_00]: So, but allows them to, if you don't have G-Slow's present, though, to Brad's point, the elector can give them all same information. [SPEAKER_00]: Where are the defenses? [SPEAKER_00]: Who are the key people? [SPEAKER_00]: Where is everything? [SPEAKER_03]: I think the leaders are wildly more powerful. [SPEAKER_00]: It's awesome. [SPEAKER_00]: It's just in the tabletop. [SPEAKER_03]: Yes. [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, no. [SPEAKER_03]: I mean, there's still good. [SPEAKER_03]: Don't, there are four deployers. [SPEAKER_03]: No, like there's a good definition. [SPEAKER_00]: Fine. [SPEAKER_00]: Not that it should. [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, I mean, not that it should. [SPEAKER_00]: Eight edition. [SPEAKER_00]: Let's just keep going. [SPEAKER_00]: Additions back. [SPEAKER_00]: Let me saw one. [SPEAKER_00]: Sean, they brought Victor Shane. [SPEAKER_00]: Sean, Nathan is is a unique character. [SPEAKER_00]: Okay. [SPEAKER_00]: Let's keep going. [SPEAKER_00]: I'll just make things weird. [SPEAKER_00]: That's why. [SPEAKER_00]: Let's pick. [SPEAKER_03]: There was a reason that the list was called Licter Shane. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: I think the death vapor had a couple flashes and the dead vapor is the shit. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, which is just a super lifter, which is cool. [SPEAKER_03]: Anyway, but lifters in the lore are amazing because they're these four operators that are rambowing it up to be honest with you. [SPEAKER_03]: They're finding out [SPEAKER_03]: everything about you, whether you want them to or not, because the worst part about being killed by a lifter is, oh yeah, you wouldn't give me your secret. [SPEAKER_03]: It's cool. [SPEAKER_00]: I don't care. [SPEAKER_00]: I just hate your brain and I know everything about you. [SPEAKER_00]: One interesting thing, though, from the law, I went to lifter and seen with that with a geese, but it's easier with the lifter, obviously. [SPEAKER_00]: If there's a lifter on the planet, so, oh, I thought, I thought, the lifter gets dropped off. [SPEAKER_00]: So if it's actually just a very small stealth high ship that goes out with lifters and just drops one of the planet and flies away, [SPEAKER_00]: You can see this in the opening sequence of Predator II. [SPEAKER_00]: Just go on what it is. [SPEAKER_00]: They can do that. [SPEAKER_00]: So if the Imperium or you just get lucky, whatever you are and you find the lecture and you kill it, the highly may not come to the planet. [SPEAKER_00]: It's because if it doesn't have the information, it's like, why bother? [SPEAKER_00]: More reluctantly, those send more electors. [SPEAKER_03]: But, you know, what their whole point is, is to find out is this worth coming to? [SPEAKER_03]: If it's worth coming to what are the weaknesses? [SPEAKER_03]: What are we supposed to do? [SPEAKER_03]: The leader is late. [SPEAKER_03]: I, when I said, like, there's a good, you know, talked about it, man, lower versus the plate, brutal. [SPEAKER_03]: But think about it. [SPEAKER_03]: But look at this in the lore, man, they are so good, because they're making decisions. [SPEAKER_00]: This is them and terminators fighting, maybe. [SPEAKER_03]: But the thing is, is they're so, they're, they're, they're the predator on, like I said, the predator on steroids because they're, [SPEAKER_03]: They're getting all this information. [SPEAKER_03]: They're figuring, they're learning, they're figuring things out. [SPEAKER_00]: They're almost completely undetectable. [SPEAKER_00]: And yeah, they're also incredible killing machine. [SPEAKER_00]: They, uh, a lot of stories of like the catch and jumbo fighters fighting, uh, the victors like you're ripping through. [SPEAKER_01]: Hundred percent hundreds of them. [SPEAKER_00]: coolest ship. [SPEAKER_00]: So, but anyway, once that this has happened, other Gs or infection or lecturing infection, the next phase is called the infestation. [SPEAKER_00]: And this is when the high fleet first begins to approach the planet. [SPEAKER_03]: Well, and it's approaching the planet in force. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: It's not it's not making it. [SPEAKER_00]: We're seeing the high fleet. [SPEAKER_00]: The fleet is now there. [SPEAKER_03]: There's not a scout ship that shows up at this point in time. [SPEAKER_03]: It's a hey dad. [SPEAKER_03]: I can't see the sky. [SPEAKER_00]: Well, you get in three phases. [SPEAKER_00]: Phase one is if they were using the narval, you're going to get those like quicks. [SPEAKER_00]: You're going to get this whole trip moving around. [SPEAKER_00]: Phase two is all your communication stops channels. [SPEAKER_00]: The work we really need to the heart on how incredible this is. [SPEAKER_00]: The entire frame. [SPEAKER_03]: Remember though, shadows in the work isn't just your communications are down. [SPEAKER_03]: Shadows the work we talked about when we talked about blanks. [SPEAKER_03]: Shadows the work is also you have an impending sense of dread that you've never [SPEAKER_03]: You're more terrified than you've ever been, and you have no idea why. [SPEAKER_00]: I like talking to the communication piece a little bit because I think it really adds the fear that this isn't like a ship like a naval ship or a ship moving around the earth, right? [SPEAKER_00]: They send out communications every so often. [SPEAKER_00]: It's not constant. [SPEAKER_00]: An imperial world has [SPEAKER_00]: thousands, if not probably more than thousands of astronauts, and they're just speaking constantly. [SPEAKER_03]: There's nothing happening. [SPEAKER_03]: Every Royal, every, there's nothing in particular. [SPEAKER_00]: It just stops. [SPEAKER_00]: It is dead air. [SPEAKER_00]: You can nothing's coming in. [SPEAKER_00]: And remember, you don't know nothing is going out. [SPEAKER_00]: That's what's even cooler about this. [SPEAKER_00]: Just nothing's coming in. [SPEAKER_00]: Complete silence, except for endless static. [SPEAKER_00]: Now, I did that. [SPEAKER_00]: Your astrapass are going crazy. [SPEAKER_00]: Your astrapass just died. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, you have cycles, you're just like killing themselves and screaming. [SPEAKER_00]: This is like, and then, I mean, that's like I did laugh. [SPEAKER_00]: You keep bringing up this impending feeling of dread. [SPEAKER_00]: I'm not sure if that actually is a thing or if it's just this or if you're just sitting right away. [SPEAKER_00]: I'm going so everyone who's in charge of communication is screaming and trying in the corner. [SPEAKER_00]: All of our psychors just committed suicide. [SPEAKER_00]: I'm not bodily and the planet's there's earthquakes everywhere. [SPEAKER_00]: You know what that I don't think the I don't think the shadow of the warp was necessary to create a petty feeling of dread and you're like my project is not counteract. [SPEAKER_00]: Holy God, but here's where it gets better. [SPEAKER_00]: That's not that the infestation is part is actually what happens now, which is when the high fleets get close to the orbit, they start dropping scoremines from the sky. [SPEAKER_03]: Whoa, whoa, whoa. [SPEAKER_03]: You know what? [SPEAKER_03]: I'm a poppin' in this one. [SPEAKER_03]: John I did like they were dropping occasional smaller mines. [SPEAKER_03]: They dropped smaller mines, or again, that's my, that was my quote earlier. [SPEAKER_03]: You can't see the sky anymore. [SPEAKER_03]: They're dropping so many smaller mines. [SPEAKER_03]: They cloud, it, it, [SPEAKER_03]: In multiple books, they've talked about the fact that it looks like night, because you couldn't hold on to so many coming down. [SPEAKER_00]: Yes. [SPEAKER_00]: And sporamines are not like, we're in, well, women Michigan. [SPEAKER_00]: So this is spring for us, I guess, everyone else like all the Danielides bloomed back in, you know, the actual spring. [SPEAKER_00]: But I'm in June, and I've got those white pieces of garbage all over the place. [SPEAKER_00]: And you know, once it makes a sneeze, then it's just, I can kill and you, so I don't have allergies. [SPEAKER_00]: But anyway, so those things, we're not talking about like that. [SPEAKER_00]: The scoreminds are large spores that actually fall, you can see the model. [SPEAKER_00]: They're human size that they fall out of the sky and they do a few different things. [SPEAKER_00]: They actually, [SPEAKER_00]: can contain, to run a set of our bigger version of this thing. [SPEAKER_00]: It can contain beings, but the bigger one they do is actually hit the planet and borrow into the planet to start extracting the nutrients and bringing it to the surface. [SPEAKER_03]: Let's talk about the gross part about this. [SPEAKER_03]: They're pre-digesting the planet. [SPEAKER_00]: This is part of the part one. [SPEAKER_00]: They also will, but they do carry down monsters like mall locks and trigons to start borrowing into the planet. [SPEAKER_00]: At this, you mean, it's the thirty to forty foot tall giant beings with it? [SPEAKER_00]: It seems that they grow. [SPEAKER_00]: That's the part I'm always kind of confused by because they use tyrannicite to drop carnifixes and the carnifixes smaller than malloc. [SPEAKER_00]: So, again, it's, I have to assume that they kind of grow when they're in there, whatever. [SPEAKER_00]: But the point being is that they now come in and these, these spores are falling out of the sky, hitting the planet and being to convert the atmosphere and the planet over. [SPEAKER_00]: Because it's, it's what, I love the confidence here. [SPEAKER_00]: The tyrannids aren't you, at this state, tyrannids are going, oh, we've already won. [SPEAKER_00]: We're going to start, we're going to start digesting the planet now in between that and the end. [SPEAKER_00]: We're going to kill all of you, but this is over, right? [SPEAKER_03]: So let's start setting up the pre-digestion. [SPEAKER_00]: And this is where at this stage two, this is where the Jesus rebellions will begin. [SPEAKER_00]: We'll be right back after a quick break. [SPEAKER_00]: So as soon as he's the spores start coming out of the sky, that's when the geez to their cult attack, if they're there, or going back to what we were talking about, the lifters, the lifters have been stalking and learning the planet, and they've been marking who the leaders are of the planet. [SPEAKER_00]: They will suddenly leap out of nowhere and kill all the planetary leaders. [SPEAKER_00]: So you now offers in charge, just got to captain. [SPEAKER_00]: If it's a space marine captain, he's been poisoned. [SPEAKER_00]: But the idea is to create anarchy at the planet, which makes it even harder for the planet to do it. [SPEAKER_00]: But we haven't even gotten into the worst part, which is a salt, which is when the theory hits actually attack. [SPEAKER_00]: Because now, as we just said, they've lost leadership. [SPEAKER_00]: Defenses may be offline. [SPEAKER_00]: They're planetary bombardment cans may be off. [SPEAKER_03]: Well, and one of the bigger things is about this assault is because of the gene still arbitration, because of the lifters. [SPEAKER_03]: You know, who comes down? [SPEAKER_03]: Whatever I need to face you. [SPEAKER_03]: Uh-huh. [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, you have big cannons. [SPEAKER_03]: Cool. [SPEAKER_00]: I have to say whatever it's always going to be billions of guns. [SPEAKER_03]: Well, yes. [SPEAKER_03]: But besides billions of guns. [SPEAKER_00]: Every time. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_03]: True story. [SPEAKER_03]: But the rest of it is what weapons do I need and what armor do I need? [SPEAKER_00]: Exactly. [SPEAKER_00]: And they're going to bring it in force, but they're mostly going to bring guns. [SPEAKER_00]: Guns are the, oh, and when we say bring all the guns, endless swarm, and the tyrannid system is not a strategic one. [SPEAKER_00]: Remember, in kind of akin to corn, it's just bloodshed. [SPEAKER_00]: They don't care, and in the diesmas planet, they're going to consume it anyway. [SPEAKER_03]: Even though it's bigger thing back then, I would say, including themselves. [SPEAKER_03]: It doesn't matter. [SPEAKER_03]: Whatever mass biomass is biomass, at the end, it's all getting thrown in the pool. [SPEAKER_00]: And if the hiveship makes a term of God, that term of God lands on the planet, a imperial guard has been kills that term of God. [SPEAKER_00]: When this is done, that term of God is still getting brought back up. [SPEAKER_03]: And he lost the building. [SPEAKER_03]: Two uses of whatever. [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, it is, there are numerous stories and we'll cover this later of defenders effectively running out of bullets, because of the massive swarm. [SPEAKER_00]: And it's not just gone, by the way. [SPEAKER_00]: So gone, sir on the ground, it's also Gargoyles, who have had a nice experience. [SPEAKER_03]: More spores. [SPEAKER_00]: It's loading. [SPEAKER_00]: It's just coming out of everywhere. [SPEAKER_03]: Spores. [SPEAKER_03]: The biosores are shooting. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, harpies are flying over top shooting you and dropping even more spores. [SPEAKER_00]: Yep. [SPEAKER_00]: It is the sky has gone like a greenish black. [SPEAKER_03]: process that again in a lot of the books they they describe it as the sky is gone dark because you can't see any the the biggest thing about a ternan invasion is they're bringing the whole thing the ternans don't fight [SPEAKER_03]: And little. [SPEAKER_00]: It's not like delicious. [SPEAKER_00]: It's the whole thing. [SPEAKER_00]: And they get progressively more powerful. [SPEAKER_00]: So as we just said, we're going to start going to have terminants, pharmacists, gargoyles to a version of a flying gun. [SPEAKER_00]: But then the warriors will start to show up in the warriors with our kin because the warriors are there. [SPEAKER_00]: It looked at about that little bit larger than a space marine. [SPEAKER_00]: And they're going to come in today, add a little bit more oomph. [SPEAKER_00]: Or if that's not working, we're going to bring in Zoenthropes. [SPEAKER_00]: We're going to bring in Carnifxes and the Carnifxes where I'd side story. [SPEAKER_00]: I love Carnifxes. [SPEAKER_00]: I'm always loved Carnifxes. [SPEAKER_00]: Do they suck? [SPEAKER_00]: A lot of times, yes, in Forty-K. [SPEAKER_03]: They didn't for a while, though, third edition of fourth edition, they're amazing. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_03]: And then, like, they're kind of okay, intense now. [SPEAKER_00]: with all the one out there, amazing. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, you know how I've also seen them just die, like right there. [SPEAKER_00]: But anyway, the card effects is actually in theory, one of the greatest weapons that they have. [SPEAKER_03]: You know what, you're going to make me sad in Tenth Edition. [SPEAKER_03]: In previous editions, you could make your Carnifax be whatever you wanted to be. [SPEAKER_03]: And I love this about the Ternans. [SPEAKER_03]: The more adaptations you have because that's what Ternans do is they find out information about what you are and then they make [SPEAKER_03]: Whatever creature they need with the proper weapons and armor to kill you is what shows up, which is why they're so damn terrifying. [SPEAKER_03]: Because hey, you read a bunch of big tanks to the last time you fought us. [SPEAKER_03]: Cool. [SPEAKER_03]: I brought a bunch of things that killed the tanks. [SPEAKER_00]: No, the planets. [SPEAKER_00]: They're in say, hey, this planet's got a lot of incredibly fortified positions. [SPEAKER_00]: Cool. [SPEAKER_00]: Here come Carniff Act as a special clause that can rip through that. [SPEAKER_00]: Yep, it's usually the Carnifex I would use for this, or they've got a lot of like, you know, flat, open land with large, large, large ordinance. [SPEAKER_00]: Cool. [SPEAKER_00]: Here comes the Carnifex with heavy venom cannons. [SPEAKER_00]: We'll blow your tanks, we'll blow it all the way. [SPEAKER_00]: Carnifex is land and rip stuff out. [SPEAKER_00]: And that's how you're me getting into malice, there's bio-vores, bio-vores, other obvious, pyro-vores. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it's just flamish. [SPEAKER_01]: Flamish, all right. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it's just, it's more from a lower standpoint, I'm like, so you have a thing that falls out of the sky and makes flame. [SPEAKER_00]: Anyway, by the way, where's the cool though? [SPEAKER_03]: Ten other things are already doing that. [SPEAKER_00]: My listeners are a lot more badass, but so whatever your defense is, and all the two that we should mention is that, and we're going to talk more about this in a minute. [SPEAKER_00]: They also will adapt as the battle goes on. [SPEAKER_00]: So as, as if they hit a stubborn defender, they'll look at that and decide what is necessary and then throw a new trick. [SPEAKER_03]: Because the ships up, the ships above in little orbit are actually figuring out and making whatever they need for the bat. [SPEAKER_03]: If you're winning on a front, what do I need to fix this particular front? [SPEAKER_03]: They just make it. [SPEAKER_00]: Now, a key point I want to make about a salt phase at this stage, it's over. [SPEAKER_00]: And the reason it's over is for those of you who played Horizon Zero Zero Dawn. [SPEAKER_00]: the atmosphere's gone, guys. [SPEAKER_00]: There's so much, the tiered invasion at this point has blocked out the sun. [SPEAKER_00]: There is no photosynthesis step and half. [SPEAKER_00]: It's not going to happen again. [SPEAKER_00]: Additionally, it's consuming the planet and what is actually a toxic form. [SPEAKER_00]: So even unless you're saying, Marine, who they're immune to poison, they're already prejudiced, digesting. [SPEAKER_03]: So you're losing [SPEAKER_03]: almost all the soil basically. [SPEAKER_00]: But you're going to choke to death. [SPEAKER_00]: Unless you're, I mean, this is death crops and creeks stuff, which we'll cover later. [SPEAKER_00]: But you literally would have to be fighting with an oxygen supply at a certain point. [SPEAKER_00]: It's not a very long point into the assault phase. [SPEAKER_00]: And the terriads, we're not really sure how they breathe. [SPEAKER_00]: It's never really covered. [SPEAKER_00]: They don't operate in zero gravity. [SPEAKER_00]: So we don't, I don't know. [SPEAKER_00]: Is that really some number too though? [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, but in a sense, like, I don't know if terriads fighting and choose zero gravity. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it could be a lower thing. [SPEAKER_00]: I just haven't read. [SPEAKER_03]: But it's one of the bigger things on this is not only are they doing all this, they've already ruined your planet. [SPEAKER_03]: Even if you win, you're still lost. [SPEAKER_03]: But almost always tear-nons do not show up at a planet that they haven't already figured out that we have more stuff than you have. [SPEAKER_03]: They show up and they only pick unfair battles. [SPEAKER_03]: Almost always. [SPEAKER_03]: I mean, I mean, there's there's a few in far between. [SPEAKER_00]: I would agree to until we got to like later ninth edition. [SPEAKER_00]: Oh, shout out even because the devastation of ball and ball couldn't have been more fortified. [SPEAKER_03]: And they were saying, but there's very few of those though. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, you're right. [SPEAKER_00]: There's there's things that they have to do. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it's the Leviathan invasions where they're changing a little bit. [SPEAKER_03]: They just keep picking battles that they're always here. [SPEAKER_00]: Actionize that. [SPEAKER_00]: They would have won ball. [SPEAKER_00]: The even though ball was heavily fortified, we're still winning with a thousand to one ratio. [SPEAKER_00]: I don't know. [SPEAKER_03]: There's just no, I'm saying, even at ball, but I'm saying every other invasion, they just go, again, we've already infiltrated the planet. [SPEAKER_03]: We know your defenses and we've, we only invade if we have this we're going to win. [SPEAKER_03]: Ninety nine point nine percent chance that we're just going to win this fight. [SPEAKER_03]: They only fight on fair fight. [SPEAKER_00]: That's fair. [SPEAKER_00]: So at this stage, once they've killed all the defenders, we move into what's called this subjugation phase. [SPEAKER_00]: So they, which is so not subjugation, though. [SPEAKER_00]: Well, I mean, it's subjugation. [SPEAKER_00]: Well, yes, there is one more. [SPEAKER_00]: It's absorption, right, sorry. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: So the subjugation phase is where is where the [SPEAKER_00]: They convert the planet over to the form they needed for consumption. [SPEAKER_00]: So what we didn't touch on yet is one of the things that the scoreminds were dropping or what they called capillary towers, which played Donovor II or three, you'll see what they look like. [SPEAKER_03]: They make that the pool stuff. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, that's what that's. [SPEAKER_00]: That's what these capillary towers come out of the ground. [SPEAKER_00]: They look like kind of almost got tentacle coming out of the ground with like a plant coming off. [SPEAKER_02]: They look like the starcraft to towers that. [SPEAKER_00]: I don't we know it really is, but anyway, they make these things they come out of the ground and these begin to actually start converting the biomass to become a they've got multiple levels to these at stage one. [SPEAKER_00]: There's kind of coming out. [SPEAKER_00]: They come [SPEAKER_00]: areas that would they'll start consuming all the biomass. [SPEAKER_00]: The tyrannid, uh, Gauntz will actually bring dead bodies over towards these capillaries and then eventually they form pools in front of them. [SPEAKER_00]: Eventually they jump in. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: Oh, that's the final bit. [SPEAKER_00]: They also jump in eventually to slowly turn the entire [SPEAKER_00]: planet into a liquid mass of, they make, they easily make goo. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: They make chicken nuggets out of the entire planet. [SPEAKER_00]: Well, and the, actually, I forgot what's, sorry. [SPEAKER_00]: I got, I got that wrong. [SPEAKER_00]: Let me rephrase that. [SPEAKER_00]: It's the ripers that do this. [SPEAKER_00]: It's not that it's gone. [SPEAKER_00]: The ripers. [SPEAKER_00]: The ripers from the ripers from the pop out of it. [SPEAKER_00]: So ripers basically eat things and then explode. [SPEAKER_00]: and they exploit and do a liquid. [SPEAKER_00]: So corpses, other tyrannids, plants, vegetation, everything. [SPEAKER_00]: Organic mass period. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, and these are, these, these become oceanic in size pools of just organic matter. [SPEAKER_00]: Plants going by like that. [SPEAKER_00]: That this plant. [SPEAKER_00]: Like there's no coming back at this point. [SPEAKER_00]: Oh, yeah. [SPEAKER_03]: Well, it's already a pink goo. [SPEAKER_03]: Again, they're making chicken nuggets. [SPEAKER_03]: Well, it's pink stuff. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it really is. [SPEAKER_00]: Do. [SPEAKER_00]: Sorry, guys. [SPEAKER_00]: It's entirely too many more. [SPEAKER_03]: If you're eating chicken nuggets, you ain't tear it at biomass. [SPEAKER_00]: It's actually fair. [SPEAKER_00]: Good dipping sauce, you know. [SPEAKER_01]: With ranch. [SPEAKER_01]: You have any hostings. [SPEAKER_00]: So now we get to the final stage, which is absorption. [SPEAKER_00]: And this is, as we discussed, the tyrannids don't have cold fusion. [SPEAKER_00]: They don't have plasma. [SPEAKER_00]: They don't have azinges. [SPEAKER_00]: They are a biologic being. [SPEAKER_00]: So in order for them to live, they have to actually consume for energy. [SPEAKER_00]: And this is what they're doing. [SPEAKER_00]: They are coming in and it's really cool. [SPEAKER_00]: So the capillary towers at this point actually reach up into the sky and the high of ship comes down. [SPEAKER_00]: Oh, yeah, there. [SPEAKER_00]: And the high of ship uses the capillary towers. [SPEAKER_01]: These are to like rain the planet. [SPEAKER_01]: These are wildly not even able to be this tall tall things. [SPEAKER_00]: All right, physics and overhead off. [SPEAKER_01]: I think it's all down. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it doesn't work at all. [SPEAKER_00]: But they do, they consume everything. [SPEAKER_00]: And this is doing actually two things the same time year one. [SPEAKER_00]: They are consuming all of the energy and mass so that they can create their own and move on the next planet. [SPEAKER_00]: But they're also consuming all the DNA of what they just killed, which is then used at a later stage ring at two and a minute to help [SPEAKER_00]: feed the fleet. [SPEAKER_00]: But this is where when we talk about the last cast, this creates kind of a challenge, because when the imperium comes and post-terid invasion, so it's from the earlier stages, when they didn't know the humans existed, [SPEAKER_00]: they wouldn't find anything. [SPEAKER_00]: Like, if there was a Drew Carrey raid, you would see like, you know, blaster marks, whatever it is. [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, you know, you might even find some survivors. [SPEAKER_00]: If it was Eldar, if it was Orcs, there was some relative, there was a battle here. [SPEAKER_03]: Well, it's, it's wild though, because because the tournaments have been stealing all your DNA, learning from you. [SPEAKER_03]: They're learning everything from you and you're learning zero from them. [SPEAKER_03]: You don't even sure what that'll happen. [SPEAKER_03]: You just know that a planet that used to provide tires. [SPEAKER_00]: isn't here anymore and also that's a real thing with the imperium they a lot of planets provide one one thing which makes that scary is that when a tiered invasion has come through all you found is a barren rock nothing not even not oh I think there used to be a civil engineer it's gone although the buildings might still be there I don't know it's such a big thing so they were same before when they started really that's why [SPEAKER_03]: they started to take the turn and threat more seriously as we don't know what you did and you know everything about us and they didn't realize that until very weighs down in battles and stuff [SPEAKER_03]: when they started adapting to us. [SPEAKER_03]: Because originally the period was very, very confident. [SPEAKER_03]: They're like, we fought this Zino's race, you know, so many times. [SPEAKER_03]: But when also we fought this and they did this, this and this were prepared. [SPEAKER_03]: They did these three things. [SPEAKER_00]: We're good to go. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, dark angels. [SPEAKER_00]: It's like, okay, the dark angels of, you know, this is what they would do. [SPEAKER_00]: These guys are a problem. [SPEAKER_00]: We've got it. [SPEAKER_00]: We brought this. [SPEAKER_03]: We brought the specific units. [SPEAKER_03]: We brought the specific tanks. [SPEAKER_03]: We're good to go. [SPEAKER_03]: We already know what they have. [SPEAKER_03]: And then they went, no, we adapted to that. [SPEAKER_00]: So from there, what I want to spend some time on is I think it helps us get the last cast where you're at this moment would be more of a timeline of tier minutes. [SPEAKER_00]: I want to spend some time on like some key tiered units because it is actually really important. [SPEAKER_00]: I don't really care what's good or bad the table top because as we discussed, they don't line up very well. [SPEAKER_00]: And I want to spend a little bit of time talking about just some of the key units that make up a tiered invasion and why they're so important. [SPEAKER_00]: So the first one is the tiered warrior. [SPEAKER_03]: Well, why it's so important is it's a sin, before anything else. [SPEAKER_03]: It's a synapse unit, which means that it can control the non synapse unit. [SPEAKER_03]: It's gone around it. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, gone. [SPEAKER_00]: And when we say control, it's not like, oh, I'm in charge of four or five people. [SPEAKER_00]: They don't even know that. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, we don't, we don't, we actually don't know the number they can control. [SPEAKER_00]: It's, but it's in the fouls. [SPEAKER_00]: They're just sell towers. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, there's no, there's no, because they're not, you're right, because then they're not, they're not in control. [SPEAKER_00]: They're just a relay. [SPEAKER_03]: They're projecting. [SPEAKER_03]: Y'all like, hey, how's my service? [SPEAKER_03]: Hey, there's a ternan warrior there. [SPEAKER_03]: I have five bars. [SPEAKER_00]: First up, ternan warriors are actually a little bit larger than the space marine. [SPEAKER_00]: The ternan warriors they have met two point four two point four meters. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, and which is Marine's [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, you're right, well, I'm reached two meter and they're about one point two ton, which and a Marine is one ton. [SPEAKER_03]: So they're significantly heavier. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, they're larger. [SPEAKER_03]: Because they have their their gun is that's a heart of their body. [SPEAKER_00]: And that's metrics. [SPEAKER_00]: That's two hundred kilograms larger. [SPEAKER_00]: So. [SPEAKER_03]: So a little bit. [SPEAKER_00]: Yes. [SPEAKER_00]: That's big. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: And I left the kilos. [SPEAKER_00]: I were both left the kilos. [SPEAKER_00]: And you know, and just say, an extra two hundred kilos feels like a lot. [SPEAKER_03]: How many stone is that John? [SPEAKER_03]: That's all I want to know. [SPEAKER_00]: thirteen to bed. [SPEAKER_00]: That's the whole area's measurement. [SPEAKER_00]: The bigger fear, though, on the theory warriors is how diverse they are. [SPEAKER_00]: So when we talk about the adaptation, in current forty-k, the last thing I saw, there are two hundred and twelve variants of the tyrannic warriors. [SPEAKER_00]: That's why the imperial has recorded. [SPEAKER_00]: On the tabletop, there are two variants. [SPEAKER_03]: So again, but they can be equipped with wildly different weapons. [SPEAKER_00]: No, in definition, there's two. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, but they lay or gone. [SPEAKER_03]: Yes, but their guns could be different. [SPEAKER_00]: Oh, ninth edition, there were a lot more. [SPEAKER_00]: Anyway, we're in a little moment, so we're going to complain about stuff. [SPEAKER_00]: Sorry, everybody. [SPEAKER_00]: But yeah, because we also got rid of, well, you guys are rather slow. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, so there's a third. [SPEAKER_00]: And we lost. [SPEAKER_00]: You can legitimately put different guns on them, right? [SPEAKER_00]: I don't think that's just doing the way. [SPEAKER_01]: I mean, terrible. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, but we lost strikes. [SPEAKER_00]: But yeah, they could [SPEAKER_00]: There was melee versions, there were shooting versions, there were flying versions, borrowing versions, the idea is the tyranny warrior is kind of the take-all comer. [SPEAKER_03]: It's the battle version. [SPEAKER_00]: Well, actually, it's this in the card, it's actually going to take a second. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, but I'm saying this is that you have to have [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, every invasion is going to have turned it, whereas because it is the base synapse creature. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: And they, when they are, they also can, what I like about them is that what synapse creature is that we think of a cell tower a lot of times we think of like a dude carrying a radio, which isn't that what's that dude really doing for me? [SPEAKER_00]: He's helpful. [SPEAKER_00]: Look at me wrong. [SPEAKER_00]: If you were radio operators in the military, I'm not sharing on you by any semblance, but [SPEAKER_00]: you have to focus on operating the radio. [SPEAKER_00]: What makes here to sign-ups so terrifying is that this warrior is actually front line fighting with the other things and is a sign-ups creature. [SPEAKER_00]: So the fact that it is bigger than a space marine and heavier than a space marine, it's also fighting the space marine, which is so crazy. [SPEAKER_03]: And the thing is they don't care. [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, they don't even know that they're that. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, they exist. [SPEAKER_00]: Next one is Zoenthropes, which are, again, everything here is rumor. [SPEAKER_00]: The rumor is that they come from LDR DNA because we don't, thanks to the loss of the Zoes. [SPEAKER_03]: These are, we don't talk to these are brain bugs. [SPEAKER_03]: They are floating bugs they give out. [SPEAKER_03]: Psychic blast, which is actually the name of their attack. [SPEAKER_03]: They give out to me. [SPEAKER_03]: And when I say psychoblast, I don't mean, again, I'm not saying the upper hit loop with some lightning bolts. [SPEAKER_03]: I mean, no, that bolt just destroyed ten tanks. [SPEAKER_00]: The start of Leviathan, GW put together. [SPEAKER_00]: I actually have very good animated like movie. [SPEAKER_00]: Yes, and the one where the Zoynthrobs melt the librarian. [SPEAKER_00]: Yep. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, that's a good example of Zoantrope. [SPEAKER_00]: Like they are, they are so powerful that, and we'll discuss one key one later, but even the Eldar struggle against fighting and Zoantrope's with psychic energy. [SPEAKER_00]: They are. [SPEAKER_03]: Because they're just pure, because again, they've adapted. [SPEAKER_03]: They don't do anything else. [SPEAKER_00]: They just... I would go so far and say they're perfected. [SPEAKER_00]: Like the Eldar psychic power isn't my... Yeah! [SPEAKER_00]: Let's turn that to eleven. [SPEAKER_03]: You're like, you also do a bunch of other dumb stuff. [SPEAKER_03]: Why don't we just make this being only transfer cycle? [SPEAKER_03]: Excuse me, psychic power. [SPEAKER_00]: We're gonna dive back into my favorite unit. [SPEAKER_03]: Kind of food. [SPEAKER_00]: I love the Carnifex. [SPEAKER_00]: I love the Carnifex, I love the Carnifex. [SPEAKER_00]: I hate the table top. [SPEAKER_00]: I hate the table top. [SPEAKER_00]: I hate the table top. [SPEAKER_03]: They used to be cool, bro. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: The Carnifex is one of the most iconic units. [SPEAKER_00]: The old screamer killer model is still to this day, the ugliest thing I've ever seen. [SPEAKER_03]: Have you Carnifex used to have a big mace tail? [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: They used to be really fun with Carnifex. [SPEAKER_00]: I think I actually have two, I think in my closet, they had the mace tail. [SPEAKER_03]: Throwing legitimately throw one of my favorites is from Space Ray One or is it from Don O'Ware? [SPEAKER_03]: Whatever. [SPEAKER_03]: One of the games has one of my favorite artifacts was when it takes a predator and throws it at a unit of Marines. [SPEAKER_01]: After it's destroyed. [SPEAKER_01]: It's destroyed one of the ninety of those space marine. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, yeah. [SPEAKER_03]: It's just there designed specifically for what they are designed for and another something stupid. [SPEAKER_03]: If they're supposed to kill tanks, they kill tanks. [SPEAKER_03]: If they're supposed to kill tons of guys, they have siding talents. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, they actually, it's fun. [SPEAKER_00]: The more we do this, and I'm sure we'll have the public held our cast. [SPEAKER_00]: The more we talk about this, the more I start to see the similarities in the, in the, in the failure of the more versatile tabletop to the space marine. [SPEAKER_00]: because the carnifacts is kind of like to the tiradids with the turn-nator armor is the space marines and the carnifacts were supposed to be like it's supposed to have these chitlin plates all over that make it impervious like even last like last kind of blast a bounce off of it and I'll take these things out with boulders. [SPEAKER_03]: And the thing is they're also supposed to be designed to take out either shitsons of guys. [SPEAKER_00]: Oh yeah. [SPEAKER_03]: Well they have they basically have extra arms and everything else or [SPEAKER_03]: They have huge heavy-siding talents or crushing clasps. [SPEAKER_00]: And they're supposed to take out buildings. [SPEAKER_03]: They're supposed to destroy fortifications and be the vanguard that crushes through. [SPEAKER_03]: Doesn't matter how much shock. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, exactly. [SPEAKER_03]: That should probably have to be shot. [SPEAKER_00]: That should probably be something they can do. [SPEAKER_00]: Now, some of them, one of the including old one, I even have regenerative powers to a point where it's almost like. [SPEAKER_00]: I'm killable. [SPEAKER_00]: Is he invincible? [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, they would actually rise from the dead like Necrons. [SPEAKER_00]: They would actually. [SPEAKER_03]: They had multiple stat. [SPEAKER_03]: some of them only had super front facing armor and the shit and blades and they regenerated so fast that small arms fire well it would affect them didn't matter because it healed in seconds. [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, it, it, that would be fair, like, what I did right here to defend GW a little bit is, I mean, if it, if it, if it every book, they got taken out of the altar fire, it wouldn't be very cool. [SPEAKER_00]: And from the table top, you made a model that was invincible. [SPEAKER_00]: I mean, they've done that in the past. [SPEAKER_00]: It's only one past year, you're right now. [SPEAKER_00]: I said, it wouldn't be cool. [SPEAKER_00]: It wouldn't be cool now. [SPEAKER_00]: Seven edition coffee was it wasn't cool in seven edition either, but they did it. [SPEAKER_00]: Second the last one we should talk about is the high of tyrant. [SPEAKER_00]: The high of tyrant is is is close to free will is you're going to get in the ternets. [SPEAKER_00]: And the high of time it is, it can control the differences, whereas we talk about the warriors, even though Zoens are to synaptic creatures, it felt like the hive mind would speak through those creatures. [SPEAKER_00]: They weren't only necessarily directing traffic. [SPEAKER_03]: They didn't even know they were directing. [SPEAKER_00]: The hive time it does. [SPEAKER_00]: Yes. [SPEAKER_00]: The hive time has [SPEAKER_03]: Doesn't it free will, I would people can argue with me on this? [SPEAKER_03]: I don't think the high chart even remotely has free will, but it has sentience, I guess. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, because the high times do, and there's a key one, we'll talk about later. [SPEAKER_00]: We'll go this one more, but we'll talk about next next cast. [SPEAKER_00]: Um, because I think by the way, though, as you don't know, the swarm already is not a multiple. [SPEAKER_00]: It's a single entity, just like old one eye. [SPEAKER_00]: But anyway, [SPEAKER_00]: the high tyrants are able to actually direct they actually sit there and learn to so they're going to watch the battle they're getting neck metal watches the bad term they're they're getting the feedback from all the the tier that are fighting it again these things are massively intelligent or that the controlling yeah power yeah it's a you put the high turns have it is yet for lack of a better term [SPEAKER_03]: different hive tyrants have different personalities and they have different tactics. [SPEAKER_03]: They also seem to actually have a response to will losses and things of that nature. [SPEAKER_00]: The example I used here is a space marine HUD. [SPEAKER_00]: So we talked about how a space marine and this isn't going to be designed to be sitting on this moment. [SPEAKER_00]: But the space marine helmet has the HUDs, the feedback space marines are meant to take in massive amounts of data. [SPEAKER_00]: But they then have to analyze the data think and then issue new commands and make decisions [SPEAKER_00]: the high-ftire does that almost instant. [SPEAKER_00]: It's tinnitus. [SPEAKER_03]: It's tinnitus. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: And it's even as it makes a decision things change. [SPEAKER_00]: The high-ftire can move an entire flank of Gaunts on a whim and they just start going. [SPEAKER_00]: This is what makes the tiered invasion so hard to overcome is because you're not, you can't take me kill the hive time. [SPEAKER_00]: That's kind of what you should do here. [SPEAKER_00]: Kill the hive time. [SPEAKER_00]: But if it's alive, it's going to adapt and change. [SPEAKER_00]: And every tactic you have, it's just adapting. [SPEAKER_03]: But it's adapting in real time right now. [SPEAKER_03]: It's not like it goes back and thinks about this. [SPEAKER_03]: Nope, it's, you were doing this. [SPEAKER_03]: How can I instantly change [SPEAKER_00]: to it. [SPEAKER_00]: An interesting comparison to make them is also their kind of like primarks or you know whatever Calgar and Dante are at the next level down in that they also can fight. [SPEAKER_00]: So you're not sitting this thing where it's like, oh well, we'll send a kill team and they'll go take out the high tired. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it might just kill that whole, that whole, that whole kill team. [SPEAKER_00]: Like it's, they're not, these are, these are no joke. [SPEAKER_00]: These are war boss level fighters. [SPEAKER_00]: who are also in complete total control of trillions of beings. [SPEAKER_00]: And it immediately affecting how they fight. [SPEAKER_00]: The last one in broad, I don't know if I can work here. [SPEAKER_00]: I don't believe the Noron Queen has ever been on the table top. [SPEAKER_00]: Now, okay, good. [SPEAKER_00]: Thank you. [SPEAKER_00]: Just I'd a check. [SPEAKER_00]: With the Nornqueen does, what's Kuban Nornquees is the mother of all the territory units. [SPEAKER_00]: The Nornqueen actually sits inside, I'm not even going to pretend. [SPEAKER_00]: They stole us from Aliens. [SPEAKER_00]: This is Aliens. [SPEAKER_00]: It's the mother of Aliens. [SPEAKER_00]: It's the, it's the mother of Aliens. [SPEAKER_00]: It's the, it's the, the mother of Aliens. [SPEAKER_00]: It's the, it's the, the mother of Aliens. [SPEAKER_00]: It's the, it's the, it's the mother of Aliens. [SPEAKER_00]: It's the, it's the mother of Aliens. [SPEAKER_00]: It's the, it's the mother of Aliens. [SPEAKER_00]: It's the, it's the mother of Aliens. [SPEAKER_03]: It's the, it's the mother of Aliens. [SPEAKER_03]: It's the mother of Aliens. [SPEAKER_03]: It's the, it's the mother of Aliens. [SPEAKER_03]: It's the mother of Aliens. [SPEAKER_00]: It's the mother of Aliens. [SPEAKER_00]: It's the mother of Aliens. [SPEAKER_00]: It's the mother of Aliens. [SPEAKER_00]: It's the mother of Ali [SPEAKER_00]: Fifteen years at or ten. [SPEAKER_03]: Well, StarCraft also stole everything from me. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I mean, there's that might be a story we'll do on a on a side cast about what have me guys. [SPEAKER_00]: Why don't I have so close to war. [SPEAKER_00]: However, is that let me explain to you about a very fun IP. [SPEAKER_00]: Oh, yeah [SPEAKER_03]: And I didn't work out ever. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, very well. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, everyone. [SPEAKER_00]: Oops. [SPEAKER_00]: Anyway, but the norms sits on the ship and actually births all the new units. [SPEAKER_00]: Now is it this this she birth thing is she also weak constructed DNA to make the best unit possible. [SPEAKER_00]: They are probably the most one of the most important part. [SPEAKER_00]: They probably are the most important part of the ship because they create every single unit. [SPEAKER_03]: But she's not just pumping out bags or units. [SPEAKER_03]: She's adapting them to what she needs. [SPEAKER_03]: Again, in real time, because she has a link to everything that's happening on whatever. [SPEAKER_03]: And it's not just planning, planning, system, whatever. [SPEAKER_03]: A lot of times the queen is invading multiple planets in a system. [SPEAKER_00]: There's a queen on every ship. [SPEAKER_03]: I'm saying, but like, okay, in some of the things you have the, you have the queen on the ships and then you have the, [SPEAKER_00]: the overwriting. [SPEAKER_00]: Well, yeah, the overmind coming in. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: That's right. [SPEAKER_00]: The queens communicate back through the other queen. [SPEAKER_00]: Criterus saying, yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: And what happens is the queens do two things as biosec as the battles progressing. [SPEAKER_00]: They're adjusting the units that go through, but then when the battles over the norn queen takes in. [SPEAKER_00]: basically assesses what you as they well want you know, it's didn't do well. [SPEAKER_00]: What adaptations were good versus bad and also what's the new DNA? [SPEAKER_00]: I just got off this planet that I can then feed in to make new horrible things. [SPEAKER_03]: As a gamer, this is one of my favorite things though. [SPEAKER_03]: The Nore and literally looks at the the Nore game looks at the after game data and goes. [SPEAKER_03]: All right, look guys. [SPEAKER_03]: This is what work. [SPEAKER_03]: This is what didn't and we're going to fix it for the next time. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, suppressors turns out they're gonna have any value to do. [SPEAKER_00]: Too soon, even though it's still a lot of super insides out there. [SPEAKER_00]: Sorry, everybody. [SPEAKER_00]: But this is why as a tyrannization continues through the galaxy, it's getting worse for everybody because the Norn Queens are learning adapting and changing. [SPEAKER_00]: So each battle you have to waging as a tyranniz is harder than the one before. [SPEAKER_03]: And not only that all of that true true true, but also she's getting information that you didn't even know because again, genes to learn for infiltrations. [SPEAKER_03]: So she's getting information about what you're planning. [SPEAKER_03]: Your plan to counter what she just did is she's two steps ahead now because not only is she already adapting, but she's using the information about what you're changing to try to fix. [SPEAKER_03]: against you again. [SPEAKER_03]: So like, that's what tear-ness are disgusting. [SPEAKER_00]: Here's definitely. [SPEAKER_00]: Returning invasions are absolutely horrifying. [SPEAKER_00]: And actually it's a good place for us to break because it's so concluded for the tear-ness invasions. [SPEAKER_00]: We hope this was kind of we made you guys understand the terror and the inevitability that is a tear-ness invasion because really like I can't say enough times once a high fleet has said it's psych on something, [SPEAKER_00]: that thing is gone. [SPEAKER_00]: It's, we'll talk in the next episode about some of the fact that mankind is. [SPEAKER_03]: And I want to point out again, because they've got, we've got a couple of tiny victories, but like, for almost every time, the hive mind doesn't go after things it already doesn't know it won. [SPEAKER_03]: It shows up in battles that are a foregone conclusion. [SPEAKER_03]: It's not like we brought so many forces we think we can take you. [SPEAKER_03]: No, we brought exactly what we needed. [SPEAKER_03]: And then some. [SPEAKER_00]: And then some. [SPEAKER_03]: And then some. [SPEAKER_00]: And then some. [SPEAKER_03]: And this is done. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_00]: So the next cast, we're going to dive into the actual history of the Tierney invasion, starting with Tyran, and then moving our way all the way through into modern Leviathan invasions. [SPEAKER_03]: Leviathan ball, things like that. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, it's ball and the Craig, all of these. [SPEAKER_00]: I'm leaving talk about some of the Eldar and even a very brief one on the Tao. [SPEAKER_00]: So with that, we hope you all can join us next week. [SPEAKER_00]: This has been John Barsati and Brad Jester. [SPEAKER_00]: This guy. [SPEAKER_00]: See you guys next week.
