Episode 217: Marital Check In

The Whinypaluza Podcast

Listen to this special Whinypaluza Wednesday Live vlog episode with The Greene Family! This week, there is now blog. Instead, Rebecca sits down with Seth and talks about marriage, and opens up to questions from the live audience.

When it comes to a couple, there is not “the marriage,” but rather, “his marriage” and “her marriage.” There are two different viewpoints. To gain better insight on what your partner thinks your marriage is like, try this exercise with your spouse, by using these prompts:

  • This week, I am thankful that you___.
  • What did I do this week that made you feel loved and honored?
  • Is there anything you need that I have not given to you?
  • What attribute do you like best about me, and what attribute would you like me to work on?
  • Is there something I used to do that you wish I would re-start?
  • Is there anything that I have done recently that hurt you?
  • How do you feel about our split of responsibilities?
  • What do you want to teach our children about marriage?
  • In the next week, what is coming up, and how can I support you in that?
  • What is your goal for our marriage in the next year?
  • What is the best investment we can make in our marriage next year?
  • What did you learn from our marriage his year?
