Ryan said, I didn't know it had been down grade a little bit. That could be a positive update. Yeah, and the fact that we haven't heard of anything too tragic.

Speaker 3: Yeah. Well, I just I mean, we're going to get more of this stuff. We uh, you know, this is where we're headed, I think unfortunately. So I will say, I don't know how many of you are all are on the social media, but that made me sound really how many of you? How many of you are on the social media? But yesterday when I got on on TikTok, it was all this picture of this dude in a boat in Tampa. Everybody was calling him Lieutenant Dan, like he wouldn't leave his boat in Tampa, and you know he's kind of this like, you know, he looked like older crazy guy. Basically, he was like I'm staying and everybody goes, oh, well, I think you need to go, and he's like, I'm staying. And as I watched it, I was kind of mesmerized by it, but I also was kind of repulsed that they wouldn't leave this man alone. Like it was like everybody on the earth was coming up to him and talking and he's just trying to sit there. And it sort of illustrated like the new social media where everyone's a journalist. You know, there were people driving into Tampa because they thought it would be cool to like film themselves in a hurricane. And I don't know, I feel like we've lost our way if you're like, you know what, like let's go talk to this man on his boat over and over, clearly making fun of him, and at the same time, let me drive into the storm because it might be good content. I don't know, Dre. The whole thing made me feel like a little awkward.

Speaker 3: Like like the other night, I was about to go to sleep and I was flipping and I saw that The Real Lives of Mormon Housewives or whatever it was, the Wild Lives of Mormon Housewives or whatever it was on and and you know, I know in my heart there has to be something that's better for me as a human being than to turn that on. Right, Like, literally my favorite book, which is well, my two favorite books, Crime and Punishment and Brothers Caramtself. But Crime and Punishment is literally on the night stand next to my table, next to my bad and I'm thinking, because I'm like, I want to read it again, and it's a new translation. You know, when you read something like Dostoyevski, you're like, I'm a smarter person now. And there was crime and punishment, and on my TV was The Real Lives of Mormon Housewives. And I know, Drew that I should pick that book up and turn this television off. That's an easy moral choice. Something that's food for the soul, something that is nerd gummy clusters for the soul. And I picked the nerd gummy. I turn on the Mormon Housewives. I don't know that I've ever been more ashamed of myself than in that moment, but I feel like that's just like it's like what we are.

So it's nice when person writes, Matt, I don't think Rick will do it, but if he did, would it be your favorite KSR moment? Well, I mean depends on how it goes, but it certainly would be one of the interviews that I was most looking forward to. I mean, for me, if you sit there and say, all right, Matt, in the UK world, who could you interview that you've never interviewed? The top three answers are gonna all be former code I mean number one is Rick, number two is Billy Clyde, and in a few years Cal's gonna be on the list, right Like, I mean, now, there's no way that's gonna happen, but they'll probably be a year someday that that can happen again. And I would love to have all of those. I think in terms of likelihood, Billy Clyde's last, just because I don't know that we'll ever see him here again, but I would love to do it if he could have like an honest conversation about his time here.

And it just feels like in twenty twenty four, where we can cure neurological diseases and discover vaccines for all kinds of things, that they would have improved this two different than what it is, right, Yes, they still the best thing is like take your skin and tie it together like a bow and then hope it melds back.

I might go a little higher if you look, but the top. I didn't realize when I looked at the top ten rosters how many players in college basketball are back this year? Who you would know? The names? Like Alabama's got the Sears kids. Yeah he's back, right, Like, I don't know that. I processed that. The dude on UH Carolina who's been there fifty years is back. The little point guard right R. J. Davis is that, Yeah, he's back. Kansas. Kansas has one hundred. Kansas has two guys and again I'm forgetting their names, but two guys who've been playing there since they won the national championship. Goodness, and Hunter Dickinson is back for them, which is kind of crazy. The consensus seems to be Kansas or Alabama is number one. Duke's got three guys starting for them that are projected to go to the top ten in the draft. So they basically have an old school col team. I didn't realize how good Gonzaga was supposed to be. Gonzaga's projected number six in the country. So that's a game where I I don't know if I Nolan Hickman is still playing college basketball. I mean, that's a name. I feel like we recruited him seventeen years ago, and he's They're still a nim Brand or.

And with the way Kentucky responds in games like that, I think the defense is really gonna show up. I need the offense to play well for the game to, you know, really go well. I mean, if you went on Saturday, just the making a Bowl really takes one more win because you're gonna beat Murray's day, so it really takes one more win. So you're like, if I'm Mark Stoops, I am in such goods, such a good place if you win Saturday, and I just don't see them losing that game. I do think though it's gonna be I think. Those you could make strong argument those are three best guys to ever play, and they all kind of played towards at the same time. You and I were not For people who are new to KSR. Drew and I had a career while covering professional tennis career, which is well, I mean it was side gig, hustle side gig. We went for two years for the Tennis Channel. We went to the US Open, we went to Indian Wales, we went to Cincinnati, and Uh, part of what we'd have to do is interview players. And I think it's fair to say drew On as a whole, tennis players were the rudest people. Absolutely. I think as a whole ruder than basketball, football, ruder almost in the politicians. I think that the in general, professional tennis players were the biggest goobers of being the biggest jerks that I've been in in sports.

The women were all for the most part nice, but the men's tennis players were just brats. So Federer and Nadal by far the two biggest players and by far the two most famous, and by far somehow we're also the two kindest. And Nadal especially would talk to us if he saw us, and I just I always was amazed like that the two guys who should be the biggest jerks in a sport full of jerks were actually the two nicest. And so I was sad to see the news that he because Feder's already retired, that Nadal was retiring, as.
