<v Speaker 1>What is going on everybody, and welcome to the first <v Speaker 1>main event review of twenty twenty six. Happy New Year, <v Speaker 1>twoes or hope you guy has had a fantastic Christmas <v Speaker 1>and New Year break. We're back again with the regular <v Speaker 1>main event reviews on a weekly basis as normal, and <v Speaker 1>it's myself Daniel going through all the events that happen <v Speaker 1>across main event and also raw as well. And I <v Speaker 1>guess before we probably start a few probably major updates <v Speaker 1>that happened over the break that we probably didn't wrap <v Speaker 1>up was Kamala Hayes winning the US Championship. It looks <v Speaker 1>as though he's going to continue on the legacy of <v Speaker 1>the US Open Challenge, which is great. I am happy <v Speaker 1>with the booking. I think Kamala Hayes is a very <v Speaker 1>good entering performer and I think he's deserved an opportunity <v Speaker 1>to get the mid card belt and it looks really <v Speaker 1>good on him, to be honest. And as for Dragon Off, <v Speaker 1>I think he did a really good job elevating the title, <v Speaker 1>being a fighting champion and showing the respects there. I <v Speaker 1>just think that Kamala Hayes is someone that has been <v Speaker 1>I think engaging with the fans a lot more. I <v Speaker 1>do prefer him has a heel, but he's been doing <v Speaker 1>a decent job as a babyface in terms of like <v Speaker 1>getting the crowd on his side, so I can't hate it. <v Speaker 1>Let's see what happens with him going forward, because it's <v Speaker 1>going to be interesting there. And we also had Tamasa <v Speaker 1>Champer leaving the WWE. His contract expired and he choose <v Speaker 1>he chose not to renew it, which is quite interesting <v Speaker 1>as well. He obviously was with Johnny Agano in DIY <v Speaker 1>and we had Hayes's first title defense against Johnny Agana <v Speaker 1>without Tamasa Champer being anywhere, so that was a that <v Speaker 1>was a surprising announcement from him. So yeah, we won't <v Speaker 1>be seeing Tamasa Champier in w W anymore. So I <v Speaker 1>guess Johnny Agano is going to be fighting solo. That's <v Speaker 1>going to be interesting because I haven't seen him be <v Speaker 1>a solo wrestler. It could be something good. But yeah, <v Speaker 1>they might move him towards going for that US title, <v Speaker 1>have a feud of Kamala Hayes, but we'll have to <v Speaker 1>wait and see. But I think those were the main <v Speaker 1>two pieces of news that happened within the break, so <v Speaker 1>we'll go straight into the main event review. I'll be <v Speaker 1>a quick one today. I don't think there's too much <v Speaker 1>to go through. But essentially we had the first match <v Speaker 1>with Alex Shlley taking on Angel from Lost guards Has <v Speaker 1>and I can't remember the last time I've heard from <v Speaker 1>Lost Garzas, to be honest, I'm not even sure if <v Speaker 1>they've been on Triple Ar to be honest, but they <v Speaker 1>do their best work there. They haven't got any screen <v Speaker 1>time in months, I think, probably like three four months, <v Speaker 1>so it was interesting to see them here. They certainly <v Speaker 1>or Angel certainly didn't get the victory. It was Alex <v Speaker 1>Shlley who did get the victory here demonstrating his singles ability. <v Speaker 1>So just to put people on notice that Alex Shlley <v Speaker 1>is truly a single star and can perform in ring <v Speaker 1>on his own. But again I think, nothing special here. <v Speaker 1>I think just to show that the Lost gars Is <v Speaker 1>are back, get them back on sort of TV or <v Speaker 1>at least on live crowds in WWE, while just potentially <v Speaker 1>continuing to push the machine guns, who I think are <v Speaker 1>not really doing much. So whether they move on to <v Speaker 1>raw and take on the users, that would be fun. <v Speaker 1>We'll get to that, by the way, or else. There <v Speaker 1>isn't really much for them on s backdown at the <v Speaker 1>moment when it comes to going for the tag team titles. <v Speaker 1>As I've mentioned on several occasions, we have the White <v Speaker 1>Six and the MFTs battling out for those titles, so <v Speaker 1>I don't see anyone else in the tag team division <v Speaker 1>going for them. We had a really good tag team <v Speaker 1>SmackDown Division run last year before SummerSlam was really good. <v Speaker 1>He went on for like almost a year, which was awesome, <v Speaker 1>but now hasn't been the same since because we have <v Speaker 1>those two FEUs going on. So I think moves to <v Speaker 1>Raw could be good. I know that there's a lot <v Speaker 1>of pickups based on each roster. Matt Cardona returned, This <v Speaker 1>is not a main event. A number more Newstrick Williams's <v Speaker 1>potentially signed on Oberfemi has been teased to sign on. <v Speaker 1>He might just go to Raw. We are seeing new acquisitions, <v Speaker 1>but we're not really seeing trans as they say now <v Speaker 1>because I think the draft is gone, so transfers we'll <v Speaker 1>have to see. We'll see whether that happens, but I <v Speaker 1>think it's much needed because they're not really doing much. <v Speaker 1>If they're getting singles matches on the main event, it <v Speaker 1>means there's not really much on them for SmackDown. That's <v Speaker 1>the hard reality. So yeah, we'll keep it at that. <v Speaker 1>But basically Ali Shelley does get the victory, which was awesome, <v Speaker 1>good for him, and the match went for about five <v Speaker 1>minutes as well, just to stand the main event time. <v Speaker 1>Nothing crazy there. We then move on to Raw where <v Speaker 1>we have the Vision enter the ring. Basically, they all <v Speaker 1>come in. Paul Hayman came into the ring basically saying <v Speaker 1>that the rumors were true and that Austin Theory is <v Speaker 1>the newest member of the Vision, and that's where Austin <v Speaker 1>Theory took the mic, basically saying that he waited his <v Speaker 1>entire life for this moment. He said that he's worked <v Speaker 1>his entire career. He's claimed that he had a lot <v Speaker 1>of things that he wants to talk about. Bron Breaker <v Speaker 1>will be the next World heavyweight Champion. He mentioned that <v Speaker 1>the goals of the Vision or Hayman mentioned this that <v Speaker 1>the goals of the Vision will outbeate individual needs and <v Speaker 1>then seeing Punk comes out of nowhere. So Austin Theory <v Speaker 1>didn't really get much talking time here until Punk made <v Speaker 1>his entrance and basically said that it looks like Theory <v Speaker 1>is drinking gallons of kool aid. He said that he's <v Speaker 1>here for bron Breaker. He said that he's been called <v Speaker 1>a lot of things in his career and said that <v Speaker 1>his match against bron Breaker is set for the fifth <v Speaker 1>of January. He also talked about how they could all <v Speaker 1>attack him, but maybe there's no title match. He also <v Speaker 1>said he likes to look a man in the eyes <v Speaker 1>before he puts them to sleep, so he basically insinuated <v Speaker 1>and told the guys to get out of the ring <v Speaker 1>because he wanted a face to face with bron Breaker <v Speaker 1>and time with him. Asked Little Doggie if he was scared. <v Speaker 1>Brian invited Punk into the ring, and then that's when <v Speaker 1>the Vision left. So Punk being smart, they're getting cleaning <v Speaker 1>the Vision away just to have that time with bron Breaker. <v Speaker 1>And that's where the promos came back against again once more. <v Speaker 1>And before I get on with the promo, it's great <v Speaker 1>to see bron Breaker going head to hand on the <v Speaker 1>mic with someone like seam Punk, who is has a <v Speaker 1>reputation for being one of the best superstars on the microphone. <v Speaker 1>So this has been really good for Bron Breakers. I <v Speaker 1>think Korea and yeah, Siampunk's doing a great job to <v Speaker 1>put him over. Bron Breakers also doing well to get <v Speaker 1>himself more over than he ever was, and you kind <v Speaker 1>of feel that he might potentially win the World heavyweight Championship, <v Speaker 1>but again we won't know until raw which is coming <v Speaker 1>up soon. But basically, Bron talked about how the Vision <v Speaker 1>sees things. While mentioning his teammates, Bron said he's going <v Speaker 1>to be the next world heavyweight champion. He said he's <v Speaker 1>tired of people saying that he is the future, because <v Speaker 1>Bron thinks he is in the now. He also believes <v Speaker 1>that He said that Punk believes Bond is just a <v Speaker 1>shining new toy and then then move on to the <v Speaker 1>next thing. But Bron told Punk to find someone who <v Speaker 1>can do what Broun does. He said he got into <v Speaker 1>the business with less than a year of experience and <v Speaker 1>took over. He dared to find someone born into the <v Speaker 1>industry and find someone that is more of a dog <v Speaker 1>than him. He also said that Punk thinks that everything <v Speaker 1>has been handed to him, but everything has been under <v Speaker 1>a march sco because he had to do things Microscope's <v Speaker 1>He had to do things at the highest possible level. <v Speaker 1>Bron also said that while Punk was doing the indies, <v Speaker 1>bron was sharing the field with Lamar Jackson, so they <v Speaker 1>aren't on the same level, referring to his running back <v Speaker 1>career days at the Baltimore Ravens for that reference. Bron <v Speaker 1>also said that he's willing to die for the championship <v Speaker 1>and said that he'll put Punk in the ground, beat <v Speaker 1>Punk and become the new World heavyweight champions. A very <v Speaker 1>strong pomo once again from bron Breaker, something that we need. <v Speaker 1>We're just getting more about bron Breaker each day as <v Speaker 1>he gets on these on the microphone, and I love <v Speaker 1>to see it. And that's when Punk said that Broun <v Speaker 1>is more than ready than anyone he's ever seen. But <v Speaker 1>he said that the problem is that Punk is not <v Speaker 1>ready to lose the championship essentially, so basically he said <v Speaker 1>that Brons got with his takes, but they are not <v Speaker 1>the same because one of them is Sampunk. He said <v Speaker 1>that some one is going to beat him for this, <v Speaker 1>but it's not going to be a bron Breaker and <v Speaker 1>basically said that he'll see him January fifth, So very <v Speaker 1>strong back to back promos from each we obviously expect <v Speaker 1>a good response from cmpunk, but again bron Breaker continues <v Speaker 1>to amaze. Now, who's going to win this one? I <v Speaker 1>am leaning towards bron Breaker, but I don't really know. <v Speaker 1>I think there might be something that goes off here <v Speaker 1>because it will be the main event. It is a <v Speaker 1>one year anniversary special of since Netflix took over Raw, <v Speaker 1>and it's also a Stranger Things themed episode as well, <v Speaker 1>so a lot can happen here, but we'll have to <v Speaker 1>see how that goes. But we then move on to <v Speaker 1>d Women's World Championship tip with that match between Sepanievaguer <v Speaker 1>Nikki Bella and Roquelle Rodriguez. Stephanie Viqueer did get the <v Speaker 1>victory here and basically the way the match finished was <v Speaker 1>that Viquier hit a double underhook into the knees, Rocquel <v Speaker 1>broke up the pin, then tried for a power move <v Speaker 1>and then via Ker got into an inside cradle for <v Speaker 1>Roqual kicked out at two. Then Raquel was back up <v Speaker 1>with a closed line. Nicki got back into the match, <v Speaker 1>tried the cris fixpin on Raquel and then Rakier sent <v Speaker 1>Nicki into the top turn buckle. Then v Quier picked <v Speaker 1>up both opponents oh sorry, and Raquel picked up. Both <v Speaker 1>opponents tried the brom on Nicki. Viker then sent Raquel <v Speaker 1>out the ring and covered Nicki for the pin, so <v Speaker 1>it was a quite sneaky victory. The match went for <v Speaker 1>about seventeen minutes. It was a really good match, and <v Speaker 1>I got to say, Raqueale Rodriguez is continuing to impress me. <v Speaker 1>She's just been really good in the ring, just showing <v Speaker 1>her power and her strength and her ability to go <v Speaker 1>at it with the big stars. And maybe one day <v Speaker 1>she could be a singles champion. Who knows, but Vakia <v Speaker 1>thoroughly deserves it. I'm not really sure what's gonna happen next. <v Speaker 1>Who's going to take Stephanie vaquer On because at the <v Speaker 1>moment it just seems like a great area there, like <v Speaker 1>no one looks close to beating her. So yeah, we'll <v Speaker 1>have to wait and see. There might be a return, <v Speaker 1>might be a Raw Rumble winner that potentially versus Vacare, <v Speaker 1>but I don't see her defending her title for a <v Speaker 1>while unless something pops up on Raw. Of course. We <v Speaker 1>then had the second match of main event, which was <v Speaker 1>Walking Wild taking on Bravo Americano, a very good high <v Speaker 1>flying encounter. Obviously, Tyler Bait is the man behind the mask, <v Speaker 1>so he's obviously very acrobatic in the ring, and yeah, <v Speaker 1>it was a display of two high flying athletes, a <v Speaker 1>very great match. But we did have Bravo getting the <v Speaker 1>victory here because again, what are Woking Wild and Cruz <v Speaker 1>del Toro doing? To be honest, nWo don't really seem <v Speaker 1>to do much, if I'm honest, So it made sense <v Speaker 1>for Bravo Americano to get the victory, especially because he <v Speaker 1>is going to be taking on Dragonly Ages Styles and <v Speaker 1>Jevon Evans, I'm pretty sure, so that match will be exciting. <v Speaker 1>I don't know if it's tomorrow on Raw, if it's <v Speaker 1>next week, we'll have to wait and see. But again, <v Speaker 1>some good momentum for them. The Americanos are doing decent stuff, <v Speaker 1>but I think it's carried hard by Aleander Americano, who <v Speaker 1>continues to do a lot of good things on Triple <v Speaker 1>R but not really too much on the main roster. <v Speaker 1>But I'd love to see if Chad Gable returns the <v Speaker 1>Battle of the Americanos. If that does happen, I think <v Speaker 1>that would be really cool. But again I still sort <v Speaker 1>of feel bad for Pete Dunn and Tyler Bait because <v Speaker 1>I have to go into these character modes when' one <v Speaker 1>hundred percent sure they don't really want to. But at <v Speaker 1>the end of the day, I guess they're getting some <v Speaker 1>heat if that makes sense, and some momentum and some <v Speaker 1>victories which they weren't really getting before. And then we <v Speaker 1>finish up with the main event of Raw, which was <v Speaker 1>the USO's taking on Dragonly and aj Styles. And now <v Speaker 1>this was a massive match. This match is really really good, <v Speaker 1>I have to say, a super entertaining so many near falls, <v Speaker 1>which was which was super surprising, especially the styles clash <v Speaker 1>that jay Uso survive. And then we had the double stamp. <v Speaker 1>We had the phenomenal forum which was counted by the <v Speaker 1>super kick, and basically the one D on Dragon Lea <v Speaker 1>which was which was great as well, which which actually <v Speaker 1>ended up resulting in the victory was the one D <v Speaker 1>that was on Dragon le who I think had them <v Speaker 1>made the most sense that the person was him that <v Speaker 1>obviously took the fall because I don't see j Uso <v Speaker 1>AJ Styles taking the fall there, but it was crazy <v Speaker 1>how we had that near fall. From from there, we <v Speaker 1>also had the I think it was the stump and <v Speaker 1>the splash that ag Styles also kicked out on, which <v Speaker 1>was which was really good as well. So I mean <v Speaker 1>the near fours were awesome. I think the near falls <v Speaker 1>carried this match. It went for about nineteen minutes and <v Speaker 1>we had new tag team champions in the USSOS, which <v Speaker 1>I've won it for the ninth time, which is a <v Speaker 1>record as well. And yeah, they give it straight back <v Speaker 1>to the USO's great victory. But I'm a bit suspicious <v Speaker 1>as to how long j Uso realistically is keen on <v Speaker 1>becoming a tag team champion or being in a tag <v Speaker 1>team because before the match, we did see backstage that <v Speaker 1>he wasn't looking too excited to go into battle, and <v Speaker 1>although they did win the championship, it doesn't feel as <v Speaker 1>though that it's going to be something long term. I <v Speaker 1>feel like there is a ploy here, There is something <v Speaker 1>going on, and we'll wait till it becomes revealed. I <v Speaker 1>don't know if jay Usa is going to be turning heel, <v Speaker 1>turning on his brother, or is he just going to <v Speaker 1>change his persona, But just look out for it. Don't <v Speaker 1>be surprised that this is going to be a very <v Speaker 1>short term move because I think jay us So. We <v Speaker 1>haven't addressed the fact that jay Uso has been very <v Speaker 1>frustrated how he cracked the like he lost to La <v Speaker 1>nine and he got really angry countless losses last year, <v Speaker 1>had a really bad run. There's got to be some <v Speaker 1>sort of payoff from this or something that has to give, <v Speaker 1>because you can't just have all that happen and then <v Speaker 1>Jayso decides up, I'm just going to become part of <v Speaker 1>the Tag Team division and just forget that none of <v Speaker 1>that happened. Now. I know the reason why he's going there, <v Speaker 1>because he's apparently not cut out for it, but I <v Speaker 1>think there is more to it, especially with a character <v Speaker 1>that's so over that's done so many things. I don't <v Speaker 1>see that being the final result of him just becoming <v Speaker 1>a tag team star. So yeah, keep on tabs for that. <v Speaker 1>But again, this has been your main event review the <v Speaker 1>first of twenty twenty six.
