[SPEAKER_01]: Welcome the Forty K. Lorcast.
[SPEAKER_01]: Me, John Barsalian, Brad Jester.
[SPEAKER_01]: This guy.
[SPEAKER_01]: Today's episode will conclude our coverage of Tao, so I never have to speak about them ever again.
[SPEAKER_01]: Just kidding.
[SPEAKER_03]: Just want everybody to know that we definitely had to take some time between these two episodes.
[SPEAKER_03]: Delet John, get his Chee back together.
[SPEAKER_01]: John has to buy his coffees.
[SPEAKER_01]: He feels better now.
[SPEAKER_01]: Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know what time it actually arrives.
[SPEAKER_01]: On my phone, I should see it around seven, ten, but anyway.
[SPEAKER_01]: With that, for those of you who are listening on whatever your device, including the Xbox thing, if you could like and comment on it, it would really help us out a lot.
[SPEAKER_01]: It's great seeing the comments.
[SPEAKER_01]: I said, I have to read them.
[SPEAKER_03]: Whatever reason the metrics though pushes us out.
[SPEAKER_01]: It does.
[SPEAKER_01]: It moves us up in rankings quite a bit, which the ranking and they're not that much value in, but other than people just see us.
[SPEAKER_01]: And it's kind of cool to reach further and get out there.
[SPEAKER_01]: Additionally to that, as we always put out in the show notes, you'll see a few links.
[SPEAKER_01]: One of them is our discord.
[SPEAKER_01]: It's totally free.
[SPEAKER_01]: Everyone's welcome to join.
[SPEAKER_01]: It is a behemoth that, candidly, I would have burned to the ground, rather than manage it.
[SPEAKER_01]: But Kevin, Macy, Brian, Ethan, who spells his name wrong, Steve, Ryan, Trevor, and David have stepped up.
[SPEAKER_01]: they are the moderators for our discord and are doing a really really good job.
[SPEAKER_01]: I love that I can go in there and not have to deal with problems because they are dealt with them.
[SPEAKER_03]: It's also been structured differently.
[SPEAKER_03]: It's become so much bigger than it.
[SPEAKER_03]: Bigger and better.
[SPEAKER_01]: It's easier than it is.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, better as the key thing because it bigger bigger happens but it's really been better.
[SPEAKER_01]: We made this as a place for people to be able to interact directly with Brad and I because it's kind of hard to do in general.
[SPEAKER_01]: Didn't want to list our cell phone number.
[SPEAKER_01]: One of us lists his email.
[SPEAKER_01]: Good job, Brett.
[SPEAKER_03]: I've been banned's happened because of that.
[SPEAKER_01]: But the whole idea of the discord was originally to have a way for people to kind of interact with us, give us feedback, ask us questions, tells what we got wrong.
[SPEAKER_01]: And then it's gross.
[SPEAKER_01]: It's blossomed into a community.
[SPEAKER_01]: So right now it's over twenty five channels, devoted to everything from the cast itself, playing the game, people's favorite lore and literature,
[SPEAKER_01]: We now have a space where you can post a picture of your pet, which by the way, I've looked at every single one of your pets because I'm a massive pet person.
[SPEAKER_01]: To all of my to ten.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, fantastic.
[SPEAKER_01]: And it's just a great place that if you're into Forty Kay and one of placed in Iraq, come on in and you don't get all the nightmares get some of the other spots.
[SPEAKER_01]: So links in the show notes.
[SPEAKER_01]: Lastly, though, for those of you who were, you know, this game is not just about lore.
[SPEAKER_01]: It's actually about playing on tabletop.
[SPEAKER_01]: Brad has a coaching service.
[SPEAKER_01]: You can go to our website, the FortyKlorcast.com and some details about it there for more.
[SPEAKER_01]: But with over a decade of coaching experience and thirties applying the game, Brad's quite the resource in it and he really does do a great job of helping people not just play the game better but understand the game better.
[SPEAKER_01]: More importantly though,
[SPEAKER_01]: Let's feed the brought bots, Brad.
[SPEAKER_01]: There's there are numerous.
[SPEAKER_01]: There are lots of hot singles in an area and they know what word is in this email too.
[SPEAKER_01]: So go ahead and send your email out.
[SPEAKER_03]: Oh man, Brad.
[SPEAKER_03]: Forty K at gmail.com.
[SPEAKER_03]: I cannot wait for.
[SPEAKER_03]: more span to show up.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: So if you are at email one seven three two G H R I P Q to at god knows what dot com feel free to email bribe whatever you're trying to sell he'd love to know about his UPS package that's on hold.
[SPEAKER_01]: Um maybe there's a few.
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, if you want a few like coolers.
[SPEAKER_03]: I've gotten multiple of the fake IRS one or I have to.
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, you owe the IRS might that might be fake.
[SPEAKER_03]: Not from that email.
[SPEAKER_03]: Not from that email.
[SPEAKER_03]: I asked no's right where to find.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_03]: I asked, doesn't go to the the the other email.
[SPEAKER_03]: It goes to the correct.
[SPEAKER_03]: The correct one.
[SPEAKER_03]: And then they're not trying to spam me.
[SPEAKER_03]: They're like, we know where you are.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: We'll find you.
[SPEAKER_01]: All right.
[SPEAKER_01]: Let's finish off Tao.
[SPEAKER_01]: So I think after the last one, we got we did a good enough job of covering
[SPEAKER_01]: what the tau are, who they are, et cetera.
[SPEAKER_01]: Let's talk about the tau warfare, because this is a main thing about the tau.
[SPEAKER_01]: So the tau mantra of war is really one of two ways, but there's a secret hidden third, if you played in certain editions.
[SPEAKER_01]: So the tau namely preferred diplomacy over war.
[SPEAKER_01]: They do not want to exterminate something because they could add to the greater good.
[SPEAKER_03]: Well, they want to continue to grow.
[SPEAKER_03]: The thing is, is that the town want to grow hugely, because they didn't know how small they were until they got a taste of the imperium.
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, and one thing I think it's interesting is, and they don't really cover this very well on any of the large races in the galaxy, but it's hard to know what the town reproduction cycle is.
[SPEAKER_01]: So there is an element.
[SPEAKER_01]: They've quickly populated multiple systems.
[SPEAKER_01]: They have, but it's just with them.
[SPEAKER_01]: Because they're probably the best, but we know best, but in crude, go fast.
[SPEAKER_03]: True.
[SPEAKER_03]: But there's a huge tile population on all of them.
[SPEAKER_03]: There is, and they add, because each one has its core system, it has its core planet, which is all out.
[SPEAKER_01]: All out.
[SPEAKER_01]: That's your right.
[SPEAKER_01]: I bring this up because one of the things about Taoist, this is why diplomacy, my mind was so important to them, is that they're trying to catch up to the Imperium, which is impossible, functionally.
[SPEAKER_03]: But they had no idea how big it was.
[SPEAKER_01]: That being said, though, the towel, if they do encounter someone who they realize are not going to understand the greater good, they shift very quickly to the other side.
[SPEAKER_03]: Now, this is one of the things that changed a lot.
[SPEAKER_03]: If you read early, third edition code X is, even the fourth edition, towel was not so quick.
[SPEAKER_01]: to smoke show people.
[SPEAKER_01]: They've always done this, you're right.
[SPEAKER_01]: But in the recent books originally it was if it's orcs, we smoke them.
[SPEAKER_01]: But everyone else we talk to.
[SPEAKER_01]: Now it seems to be like there's a quick message sent, hey, do you want to learn?
[SPEAKER_01]: It's like your hope is witnessed.
[SPEAKER_01]: It's like, can we talk you with the greater good?
[SPEAKER_01]: And if the answer is no, they instantly smoke show.
[SPEAKER_03]: They can go from the door and they beat you with a bat.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it's pretty nice.
[SPEAKER_03]: But you still not be that though.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, the reason this matters is that when we talk about the way to tell wage war,
[SPEAKER_01]: They don't wage war by laying like a long battle by holding ground, laying siege occupying territory.
[SPEAKER_01]: They just want to completely destroy their enemies.
[SPEAKER_03]: And they also want to get in and out.
[SPEAKER_03]: They're big about their huge, but they almost, they don't do pirate like jacari style, but it's semi-close.
[SPEAKER_03]: They hit you with everything in the kitchen sink and then they just get that out.
[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
[SPEAKER_01]: And my issue with that is, so does everybody.
[SPEAKER_03]: Now, the period will grind you down.
[SPEAKER_01]: No, but it's the period of grinds, because they have to grind it.
[SPEAKER_01]: What I'm getting at is that with the towel philosophies from military philosophy, the towel military philosophy is we're going to lie and wait and then we're going to strike very suddenly and devastatingly to destroy our entire opponents that can't fight back.
[SPEAKER_01]: Walk me through who doesn't do that except for orcs.
[SPEAKER_01]: Like with the towel just describes our military philosophy is to have the most successful victory.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, man, so does everybody.
[SPEAKER_03]: It just, they do a little interesting.
[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, the opinion is completely willing to just go, we have so many more people.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, that's it, if the Imperium can correct me, but like walking through the difference between the Tal Military Strategy and the Eldar One, all pause.
[SPEAKER_03]: No, no.
[SPEAKER_01]: There we go.
[SPEAKER_01]: That's why I thought it's like even the tyrannies use the same general thing.
[SPEAKER_01]: I like what is overwhelmed them and then there's nothing left.
[SPEAKER_01]: So I just, I saw it now and that doesn't make any sense.
[SPEAKER_01]: But back to the towel battle.
[SPEAKER_01]: So the cow have like two styles, depending on which of the cast is present.
[SPEAKER_01]: And they're pretty similar but a little bit different between Mont-Kan Kau-Yan.
[SPEAKER_03]: It's the same cost.
[SPEAKER_01]: It's the same cost.
[SPEAKER_03]: It's the same cost.
[SPEAKER_03]: It's the same cost.
[SPEAKER_03]: It's the same cost.
[SPEAKER_03]: It's the same cost.
[SPEAKER_03]: It's the same cost.
[SPEAKER_03]: It's the same cost.
[SPEAKER_03]: It's the same cost.
[SPEAKER_03]: It's the same cost.
[SPEAKER_03]: It's the same cost.
[SPEAKER_01]: It's the same cost.
[SPEAKER_01]: It's the same cost.
[SPEAKER_01]: It's the same cost.
[SPEAKER_03]: You have entire schools.
[SPEAKER_03]: I do this going like if you go really badly.
[SPEAKER_01]: Let's just, let's just, let's just get this over with.
[SPEAKER_01]: All right, Moncott.
[SPEAKER_01]: Moncott means I'm going to lie in weight and hide from my enemy.
[SPEAKER_01]: And when they reach a certain spot, I'm going to attack and the trap is sprung and I get them.
[SPEAKER_01]: Calyon is the exact same thing, but with bait.
[SPEAKER_03]: But you have to be.
[SPEAKER_01]: Walk me through the difference.
[SPEAKER_01]: Tell me how that description wasn't correct.
[SPEAKER_01]: Kind of.
[SPEAKER_01]: It's the same thing.
[SPEAKER_01]: They both, little cowardly towel hiding behind a little hiding in a bush with a railgun, by the way, awesome weapon.
[SPEAKER_01]: Waiting, and either it's I wait till the enemy arrives, or I make the crew irritate them, and then while they chase the crew, I then do.
[SPEAKER_01]: And then there's no difference in the, and these bad, like it's, and I get mad at it, because they spend a bunch of time trying to draw these out in the code, X is reading about it, and everything I read, and I go, yeah man.
[SPEAKER_01]: It's the same strategy.
[SPEAKER_03]: It's my cause more aggressive completely though.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, but there's not there's not like a third one where it's like, oh, and what if we just do over well overlapping fields of fire with artillery?
[SPEAKER_03]: It does make difference when you're talking about the Sudanese though, because they will drop down on you with my car and go.
[SPEAKER_01]: versus waiting for the Calyon again.
[SPEAKER_01]: Guy gets chasing while he chases the critical value.
[SPEAKER_01]: And then dropping down.
[SPEAKER_01]: It's the Calyon is Montcott.
[SPEAKER_01]: It's just a little bit later.
[SPEAKER_01]: And I say that also read the rules.
[SPEAKER_01]: They tend to be the exact same rule, just you either get it in better rounds one and two or three, four and five.
[SPEAKER_01]: It's the same benefit though, right?
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_03]: There was a different benefit because you had leaflets versus explosions.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, there are third methods way better of just three rip tides on top of a building with thirty plus shield drones hidden from line of sight under the building and making everyone angry.
[SPEAKER_03]: You were never going to let eighth edition go.
[SPEAKER_01]: No.
[SPEAKER_01]: No.
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, invisible wolves are still worse.
[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, everything in seventh edition was worse.
[SPEAKER_01]: Invisible wolves is the worst thing I've ever heard.
[SPEAKER_03]: But it was really irritating.
[SPEAKER_01]: The eighth edition thing?
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, except because you couldn't target them.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, so, you got opinions.
[SPEAKER_03]: I do have all bad touch to got by that.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: So, you know what?
[SPEAKER_01]: We talked about last time, but held best, but are useless, because the whole concept of them is the drones do it better.
[SPEAKER_01]: And I have to give the talent credit on drones.
[SPEAKER_03]: Their own technology is legit.
[SPEAKER_01]: The whole reason they can do this month, Kauyon BS, is theory.
[SPEAKER_01]: Laura Tabletop, this does make some level of sense.
[SPEAKER_01]: They're better at scouting than any other army in the game.
[SPEAKER_01]: because they've got in theory done in sex that they don't use, but they really have our drones.
[SPEAKER_03]: And their drone technology is next level.
[SPEAKER_01]: Insane.
[SPEAKER_01]: And I'll give them credit.
[SPEAKER_01]: So because just like, you know, your father or grandfather, the tower super into their drones.
[SPEAKER_01]: If you don't know why I'm making that reference, go, you're laughing.
[SPEAKER_01]: Just the average drone owner is fifty-five years an older or male.
[SPEAKER_01]: the tower, basically, you dad.
[SPEAKER_01]: They met the weird hoof feet, but they actually were in new balances.
[SPEAKER_01]: We had the grass tan.
[SPEAKER_01]: We had the grass tan.
[SPEAKER_01]: But let's take some of the time I had drawn.
[SPEAKER_01]: As much as I crap on them, the drones are actually one of the coolest parts of the tower in my mind.
[SPEAKER_01]: So we don't know when they were invented, but they are extensive throughout the empire.
[SPEAKER_01]: There's over twenty-five variants just that I could find.
[SPEAKER_01]: I guess there's more than that.
[SPEAKER_01]: and they do the drones do everything.
[SPEAKER_01]: There's like, clerical duties, mobile aids to help people make a walk, obviously, weapons of war.
[SPEAKER_03]: And everything, too, they have drones, missile drones, gun drones, just, well, they have, they have like little, they've, they've hologram drones.
[SPEAKER_01]: Like that, let you like kind of talk to somebody.
[SPEAKER_01]: They've got, they've drone technologies amazing.
[SPEAKER_03]: Guys, they've got the defensive tactical drones that they have, the recon drones, shells.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I mean, the drones make up, the drones are probably one of the most important parts of the town, the style of war, and we'll get into the wine a minute.
[SPEAKER_01]: But to first off, let's just describe them.
[SPEAKER_01]: So if the most part, they're, you know, one meter or less with features on it, you know, for whatever task it's hand.
[SPEAKER_01]: Some are bigger, like the Ramora is actually much larger, still a drone.
[SPEAKER_01]: But the main purpose of the drone is what I would call enhancement.
[SPEAKER_01]: Because Tao struggle pretty badly with the size of their force.
[SPEAKER_01]: Next to maybe Votan, and I'm not even sure on them, they're the smallest in the galaxy.
[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, Balarge.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, the Tao, I mean, the math on this was a little bit tricky.
[SPEAKER_01]: I got to go to Reddit for some of his help, but the math is there.
[SPEAKER_01]: There's about twenty steps over about a thought, over about a hundred worlds.
[SPEAKER_01]: That should put them somewhere between a hundred and two hundred billion.
[SPEAKER_03]: And that this is total population, which is also like the number of guards when we walk.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, yeah, that's a necromanda is ten billion.
[SPEAKER_01]: You know, necroman, there's thirty two thousand high worlds within the Imperium and necromanda is a large one at ten billion, but let's say it's five billion.
[SPEAKER_01]: still quite a lot.
[SPEAKER_01]: Kamara has more people in it than the entirety of the Tal population.
[SPEAKER_01]: The Astramilitarum is three to six trillion people.
[SPEAKER_01]: So, thousand to one versus the Tal, or hundred to one.
[SPEAKER_01]: Still, and then orcs tear it is like the tear it is could eat them tomorrow and it would be like, oh, whatever.
[SPEAKER_01]: But this is why, again, it's an issue I have with Taliban, I think they're insignificant.
[SPEAKER_01]: But the flip side is that the drones are what make them significant.
[SPEAKER_01]: Because while we only have, let's say, there are two hundred billion talent.
[SPEAKER_01]: There might be four hundred billion drones.
[SPEAKER_03]: With pretty advanced tech in them, too, for what we're supposed to do.
[SPEAKER_03]: And they give very specific on them.
[SPEAKER_01]: You know, we can't even talk by couple them real quick because you have obviously got messenger drones for, you know, moving video logs, the big ones that were like repair and manufacturing drones, but they're actually building stuff for it.
[SPEAKER_03]: It's big on both.
[SPEAKER_03]: I think that they're actually, I would separate these two because they're repair and manufacturing are too wildly different because the repair drones are pretty sophisticated drones that will instantly battle.
[SPEAKER_03]: Start repairing.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: And mid battle you take a shot, the drone pops out like our two D two.
[SPEAKER_01]: We know where they stole all these ideas from.
[SPEAKER_01]: You know, they start repairing the x-wing.
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, by instantly.
[SPEAKER_03]: And it's a big deal because they also never went through a dark age of technology and anything else.
[SPEAKER_03]: So they're just they're finding and utilizing every piece of tech they can get their hands on.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and that's as you talk about that, because that's important.
[SPEAKER_01]: During the Dark Age of Technology, the Imperium doesn't use AI.
[SPEAKER_01]: The LDR due to psychic powers don't have a need for this type of stuff.
[SPEAKER_01]: There are two people who use AI in the galaxy, and that is the Tao and now the Votan, which, again, we're going to cast the Votan, by the way, guys.
[SPEAKER_01]: We want to wait for one more codex, because one codex just not enough to, we're guessing, to like a better phrase.
[SPEAKER_01]: But let's talk about the Tao AI.
[SPEAKER_01]: So the drones are an active AI.
[SPEAKER_01]: Each or a little bit different is described in the books as having the intelligence of an animal.
[SPEAKER_01]: My issue with that is like, do they need an animal?
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, dolphin monkey or ostrich panda.
[SPEAKER_01]: Fun, fun.
[SPEAKER_01]: No, did you know the ostrich is the dumbest animal?
[SPEAKER_01]: I just like to fact and the panda, which doesn't surprise any.
[SPEAKER_01]: Panda.
[SPEAKER_03]: I love watching Pandas just consistently fall down.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: Pandas, when we tell someone that Pandas are one of the five dumbest animals, they go, oh yeah, I can see that.
[SPEAKER_03]: Just talking itself can slow the time.
[SPEAKER_01]: We spend as a species, we spend probably billions of dollars trying to make them not die out.
[SPEAKER_01]: And they're just actually like,
[SPEAKER_01]: Whoops.
[SPEAKER_01]: There are three studious levels.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, because there's no value.
[SPEAKER_01]: But anyway, back to the drones.
[SPEAKER_01]: So these drones AI, there's somewhere on this animal level of intelligence.
[SPEAKER_01]: But they're not true AI and that they're an independent body.
[SPEAKER_01]: So the AI is there more as a backup system because each has a drone controller.
[SPEAKER_03]: correct, when it's linked, but when you lose that link, it will then.
[SPEAKER_01]: That's what's put.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, so when your drone controllers alive and giving you directions, the drone is exactly what it's told to do.
[SPEAKER_01]: But should that link be severed, they go to some default programming.
[SPEAKER_01]: And there are, you know, a few different options for drones in general.
[SPEAKER_01]: The first and biggest one, as we were discussing, is recon.
[SPEAKER_01]: These are, you know, three, one meter is a three-foot desks.
[SPEAKER_01]: That's really small.
[SPEAKER_01]: In the sky, you cannot see that.
[SPEAKER_01]: So they also have scouts.
[SPEAKER_03]: Pretty awesome maneuverability on the drones, too.
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh yeah, in plus camouflage technology, the towel really do in theory.
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, they'd be up there with a lay-talk in the sense of being prepared for a battle.
[SPEAKER_01]: They know who their opponents are, they know what their opponents are armed with.
[SPEAKER_01]: They know everything they need to know about their opponents.
[SPEAKER_03]: and that you chose this because of the drones or if they want to send their weird insect army to go make a bunch of loudspeakers because of the fact that again there's not that many times so the commanders want the perfect strike for their vodka or kaya yeah you know who else wants up the perfect strike
[SPEAKER_01]: Eldar, Jukari, Spacer, and Spacer, and Spacer, and Spacer, and Spacer, and Spacer, and Spacer, and Spacer, and Spacer, and Spacer, and Spacer, and Spacer, and Spacer, and Spacer, and Spacer, and Spacer, and Spacer, and Spacer, and Spacer, and Spacer, and Spacer, and Spacer, and Spacer, and Spacer, and Spacer, and Spacer, and Spacer, and Spacer, and Spacer, and Spacer, and Spacer, and Spacer, and Spacer, and Spacer, and Spacer, and Spacer, and Spacer, and Spacer, and Spacer, and Spacer, and Spacer, and Spacer, and Spacer, and Spacer, and Spacer, and Spacer, and Spacer, and Spacer, and Spacer, and Spacer, and Spacer, and Spacer, and Spacer, and Spacer, and Sp
[SPEAKER_01]: I know the towel players are hating this but I'm just being us all the stuff they talk about the towels method of of combat is to try and kill the opponent while not dying.
[SPEAKER_03]: Like that's basically pretty awesome with the rekindrons.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, they are, but I'm just I'll give them got their better at it, but they're you know what drones they have which are real big deal.
[SPEAKER_03]: Gondrons.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, we'll do gun drones.
[SPEAKER_01]: So every towel vehicle gets the shoot more than it should because it's got these gun drones on it.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, even some of the battle suits do too, right?
[SPEAKER_01]: I think I'm with it.
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't play towel.
[SPEAKER_01]: I think I think that was obvious.
[SPEAKER_03]: You can assign drones with some people.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and so these drones will have extra guns on them that actually interact with the pilot giving them these basically AI.
[SPEAKER_01]: weapon.
[SPEAKER_03]: And they used to be able to just separate and go on their own merry way.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_03]: So I like the idea of this and their gun drones because they supplement the fighting force.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, it makes sense.
[SPEAKER_01]: The idea is that, you know, what's the, what's the, what's the space marine floating tank with a billion guns on it?
[SPEAKER_01]: Or post-racicutioner?
[SPEAKER_01]: It just makes like how many pilots are in that thing?
[SPEAKER_03]: a lot.
[SPEAKER_03]: They've got gunners for every.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, that's my point.
[SPEAKER_01]: He's kind of with it.
[SPEAKER_01]: How have similar output, but just with one guy in there and a, I didn't care.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_03]: Well, it's a, I, I, they have a, I targeting and gunning.
[SPEAKER_03]: And next more sense.
[SPEAKER_01]: The next one, though, is I would say his battle field assistance, which is everyone's second least favorite drone, the marker drone.
[SPEAKER_03]: Hell's yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: These things are,
[SPEAKER_01]: Conceptually, these make a lot of sense, and then the rules writers have jacked them up pretty bad.
[SPEAKER_01]: The idea of the marker drone is just like exists in modern warfare.
[SPEAKER_01]: But a laser mark on something, the missile knows in the missile lands on it.
[SPEAKER_01]: Basically, that's all the marker drones for.
[SPEAKER_01]: The idea of this is that the vehicle can send the marker drones out.
[SPEAKER_01]: They add accuracy, and then you hit harder.
[SPEAKER_01]: use the still reverse cannons this is night edition complaints and the only other beginning they were so ridiculous at the beginning yeah so what ended up happening with this unfortunately from a rules writing standpoint was this they would allow someone to shoot something they couldn't see with perfect accuracy
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, eighteen D-six shots from out of line of sight Ignoring cover hitting on a three I believe with full re-rolls plus one to AP because you'd be in my God
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_03]: That was busted.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_03]: The worst thing.
[SPEAKER_03]: Sorry, G&C, your codex came out directly before.
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: GSC was made point.
[SPEAKER_01]: They actually, this is a funny story.
[SPEAKER_01]: GSC, Ginceler called God of Codex.
[SPEAKER_01]: That was everyone was reading it with horror.
[SPEAKER_01]: Like, this is the greatest thing I've ever seen.
[SPEAKER_01]: Like, they were going to absolutely be a terror on a tabletop and kill everyone.
[SPEAKER_01]: three weeks later, less than eight.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, cow codex came out that made the GSC Army unplayable.
[SPEAKER_01]: Just genuinely unplayable.
[SPEAKER_01]: Pick it up.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
[SPEAKER_01]: There's no, if I bring two crisis squads with Arabers than it, your GSC Army doesn't exist.
[SPEAKER_01]: Just deleted them.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: That was funny.
[SPEAKER_03]: I do like this though.
[SPEAKER_03]: I like the idea of this.
[SPEAKER_03]: I hate and direct in the game, but the lore on its fans.
[SPEAKER_01]: It makes complete sense.
[SPEAKER_01]: Exactly.
[SPEAKER_01]: The battle suits are hiding behind a wall.
[SPEAKER_01]: They can shoot up through the ceiling.
[SPEAKER_01]: And the shit is in the tree.
[SPEAKER_03]: I guided.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: You said a drone to sneak around and mark the enemy forums so they can look to the patient hunter to hide and wait and then just attack suddenly with perfect accuracy.
[SPEAKER_03]: From out of anywhere like that.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
[SPEAKER_01]: It makes complete sense.
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh my god in the tabletop and the amount is also the amount of shots was oppressive, eighteen d six from one squad.
[SPEAKER_03]: Let's talk about drones that keep you alive.
[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, obviously I've been complaining about shield drones a lot.
[SPEAKER_01]: Let's do this.
[SPEAKER_01]: I hate them.
[SPEAKER_01]: I hate children.
[SPEAKER_03]: Shield drones are badass.
[SPEAKER_01]: I hate them on the table.
[SPEAKER_01]: I know you need to work.
[SPEAKER_01]: I hate them in the house.
[SPEAKER_01]: I hate them with a mouse.
[SPEAKER_01]: I hate every single thing about.
[SPEAKER_01]: Shield drones.
[SPEAKER_01]: I hate.
[SPEAKER_01]: There's no part of shield drones that I like.
[SPEAKER_01]: I love them in the war.
[SPEAKER_01]: No, they don't make sense in the war.
[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
[SPEAKER_03]: Because they get in the way.
[SPEAKER_03]: It's a full shield.
[SPEAKER_01]: Nothing works that nothing moves that fast.
[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know, I've seen a lot of Star Wars.
[SPEAKER_03]: The lightsaber's are blocking the stuff all the time.
[SPEAKER_01]: So let's do this.
[SPEAKER_01]: A shield drone from description sounds like, oh, so it was like a mobile force field that protects things.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, that would make total sense.
[SPEAKER_01]: You have a shield drone nearby.
[SPEAKER_01]: You can invulnerable save because it gets you a little bit of protection.
[SPEAKER_01]: No, a shield drone is a drone that suicides itself into a gunshot.
[SPEAKER_03]: Sometimes it doesn't suit us, and it just sometimes leaves.
[SPEAKER_01]: We're going to get there.
[SPEAKER_01]: We're going to get there.
[SPEAKER_01]: But we're talking about the forty first millennia where people are shooting light at each other.
[SPEAKER_01]: So this apparently, and I'm going to explain why this is so stupid, I shoot a las cannon, which is firing the speed of light at you.
[SPEAKER_01]: The towel drone, therefore moves faster than the speed of light to get in between that shot and you hold on a mutton yet.
[SPEAKER_03]: All on shield drones are Jedi.
[SPEAKER_01]: Hold on, it gets worse.
[SPEAKER_01]: The towel, as of the forty first millennia, don't have faster than light drives.
[SPEAKER_01]: So technically the shield drone moves faster than anything in the towel army police and he fast to anticipate the shot
[SPEAKER_03]: You can anticipate light.
[SPEAKER_03]: Obviously, the shield drone can.
[SPEAKER_03]: Because it's a Jedi.
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm just like, if it's shooting a missile, fine.
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm okay with that.
[SPEAKER_03]: I'm okay with that.
[SPEAKER_03]: It's right down Jedi names on all of the shield drones.
[SPEAKER_03]: You're about to add your shot, stop by Mace Windu, the shield drone.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and Eldar Brightlets.
[SPEAKER_01]: Somehow.
[SPEAKER_01]: Can be intercepted by yourself in the way.
[SPEAKER_01]: I just so annoying.
[SPEAKER_01]: And then for those of you who don't know what happened in eighth edition, in eighth edition, these things were prevalent.
[SPEAKER_01]: And the reason I hate them so much is they just made a mistake on the rules.
[SPEAKER_01]: That's all I can experience by it.
[SPEAKER_01]: The way it would work is I would roll a dice to see if I could hit you.
[SPEAKER_01]: Then I would roll a dice to see if I would successfully get through your armor and wound you.
[SPEAKER_01]: Then you would roll a dice to see if your subsystems protected you from that attack.
[SPEAKER_01]: Then you would roll another dice to see on a two out of six, a two, three, four, five or six to see if it hit the shield drone instead.
[SPEAKER_01]: But okay, that's the shield drone supposed to be for.
[SPEAKER_01]: Let me get there.
[SPEAKER_01]: That the shield drone is supposed to be a, it got in the way.
[SPEAKER_01]: I didn't like the first part of this, but it gets worse.
[SPEAKER_01]: then sometimes you could also roll one more time and on a one in three chance the shield drone that just took a last cannon to the face would go actually I'm good and wouldn't die.
[SPEAKER_03]: No, the sucky part is when you get hit with a volcano cannon.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_03]: And you're fifteen to twenty damage became one and then a five plus your shield zone fell to pain and was fine.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: And the volcano lance shoots a beam of light.
[SPEAKER_01]: that couldn't theory cut through a spaceship.
[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, easily.
[SPEAKER_03]: But you're harnessing the sun.
[SPEAKER_01]: But a less than one meter wide drone got in between it and the, and the, and all the extra damage went shoulder shrug.
[SPEAKER_01]: I hated this rule at the Thai hate everything about this.
[SPEAKER_03]: It also sucked because they had twenty of them.
[SPEAKER_03]: Twenty.
[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, with each guy.
[SPEAKER_01]: Okay.
[SPEAKER_01]: I was just saying.
[SPEAKER_01]: No, I mean, I was like, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah,
[SPEAKER_01]: This is another area for people who, you know, don't listen where the cowhate comes from.
[SPEAKER_01]: A lot comes from this.
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to be honest though.
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't watch anime.
[SPEAKER_01]: If you do, I don't do you.
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't care.
[SPEAKER_01]: I never going to do it.
[SPEAKER_01]: So when, when GW tried to capitalize on the Gundam and a lot of that stuff.
[SPEAKER_01]: It upset.
[SPEAKER_01]: I think there was a good population that felt it was a cash grab.
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not one of them and I complain about enough stuff in the town.
[SPEAKER_01]: So I'm not going to complain about this and I'll just enjoy the balance.
[SPEAKER_03]: It's quite a bit.
[SPEAKER_01]: I think they look cool.
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm just or I'm saying is that for people who don't know, this is an area people do complain about a lot, but because I'm not one of those people.
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not going to complain on their behalf.
[SPEAKER_01]: I just go with, I don't care.
[SPEAKER_03]: Well, let's talk about the fact of the matter of the suits though, because effectively all tile are in a battle suit.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_03]: It just depends on how big of a battle suit you're in.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yep.
[SPEAKER_01]: And the battle suits.
[SPEAKER_01]: But we talked before about town technology are amazing.
[SPEAKER_01]: They use this thing called a neurolink.
[SPEAKER_01]: Every battle suit is linked to its wearer by neurolink.
[SPEAKER_01]: So, where there's embedding in the skull of its wearer, a piece that interacts with the suit they're wearing.
[SPEAKER_01]: So, instead of a giant carapace organ that kills the user half time that they put it in there, the town just went with, hey, this is you this.
[SPEAKER_03]: And it works instantaneously every time.
[SPEAKER_01]: And perfectly.
[SPEAKER_01]: So maybe that's what the sister's about what we're doing with her power armor.
[SPEAKER_03]: Just not telling anybody.
[SPEAKER_01]: We mastered this technology.
[SPEAKER_01]: Look, the space means they're really into their black characters.
[SPEAKER_01]: Let's just not tell them that we don't need that.
[SPEAKER_01]: You do.
[SPEAKER_03]: You do.
[SPEAKER_03]: You do.
[SPEAKER_01]: You all feel free to have an organ that can reject and you all die.
[SPEAKER_01]: We'll just put this thing in our head and everything works perfectly.
[SPEAKER_03]: One of the biggest things about it though is the towel effectively almost use it as a second set of skin.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it becomes their body.
[SPEAKER_01]: It moves with them.
[SPEAKER_01]: Why it carries no strength.
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know.
[SPEAKER_03]: Well, it's it's wild though because the suits and this is some of the writings really, really good on this because how as they
[SPEAKER_03]: get farther into battles.
[SPEAKER_03]: They raise up in ranks.
[SPEAKER_03]: They will get the larger, more powerful suits.
[SPEAKER_03]: Some people stay with the same suit forever.
[SPEAKER_03]: They still team sometimes.
[SPEAKER_01]: It's just like it's not hard to write good stuff on this when it's already all been pre-written or to you.
[SPEAKER_01]: Just like all of Bob Oteck.
[SPEAKER_03]: But I like the idea of this brain interface having to be, it's a big deal when they
[SPEAKER_01]: change suits you know yeah style suit because this has become your second body you know your second it is and I like me they do write this out again it's all this crap is so stolen I'm sorry just is but the way that they interact with the suit
[SPEAKER_01]: It's not just that the suit feels them, but they actually can feel the suit itself.
[SPEAKER_01]: So like they feel, they feel it walking on the ground.
[SPEAKER_01]: They feel the impact of that.
[SPEAKER_01]: When the weapons fire, they feel the kick.
[SPEAKER_01]: They even feel like they talk about the infill pain when the suit gets damaged.
[SPEAKER_01]: Not like heavy pain, there's enough to say that they know that there's pain.
[SPEAKER_03]: They get to the sense of what happened to the suit.
[SPEAKER_03]: Which is a big deal on that.
[SPEAKER_03]: Like I said, it's a big deal when they change suits.
[SPEAKER_03]: People go up.
[SPEAKER_01]: Totally and then the suits themselves to Brad's point earlier really do advance.
[SPEAKER_01]: They've got you know Basic things like you know, they've they've guns They have flight.
[SPEAKER_01]: They have camouflage There's neural links really important because these suits for like a regular soldier It's just a suit.
[SPEAKER_01]: It you know, it's got you know two arms two legs.
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm holding a gun
[SPEAKER_01]: But we get a bit bigger.
[SPEAKER_01]: Now the suit has a camouflage feature that has to be turned on and off.
[SPEAKER_01]: You can fly.
[SPEAKER_01]: You've got extra arms.
[SPEAKER_03]: Multiple guns.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, multiple arms.
[SPEAKER_01]: And so over time, the towel soldier has to kind of get used to this style.
[SPEAKER_01]: Unlike Imperial, but unlike Imperial Knights, which we'll cover in a future episode, the towel also these suits become somewhat interchangeable for them.
[SPEAKER_01]: So in Imperial Knight,
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, once you link to a night, that's it.
[SPEAKER_01]: Then jump to another one next week.
[SPEAKER_01]: It's more like a Pacific Rim, in that regard.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, where is the towel?
[SPEAKER_01]: It's just, yeah, I have my narrow link.
[SPEAKER_01]: I turn on Bluetooth pairing.
[SPEAKER_03]: But this is, for me, one of the things we're going to talk right now, more about suits.
[SPEAKER_03]: But one of the things that's wild for me is the towel's technology is
[SPEAKER_03]: advancing so quickly that they can't even keep up with putting new stuff.
[SPEAKER_03]: There's tons of people like in the game.
[SPEAKER_03]: You have all the prototypes.
[SPEAKER_03]: You read about it.
[SPEAKER_03]: They have better stuff.
[SPEAKER_03]: They just can't manufacture it fast enough because they keep coming up with
[SPEAKER_01]: newer and better.
[SPEAKER_03]: All the time.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and I do like where the towel do this.
[SPEAKER_01]: So like a fire warrior for example, which is, you know, they're they're warrior class.
[SPEAKER_01]: They start with basic armor effectively.
[SPEAKER_01]: And then after four years of service, they can do what's called a trial by fire ritual.
[SPEAKER_01]: I have no idea what that is.
[SPEAKER_01]: Like, I know you what encompasses.
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't know what it is.
[SPEAKER_01]: If they do that, then they can start become a battle suit pilot.
[SPEAKER_01]: They, in with Brad mentioned earlier from that point on, as they are more successful in battle, they can either choose to stay with their current battle suit or upgrade to the next one, the next one, the next one.
[SPEAKER_01]: What this does for a towel is it means that they're most expensive and best equipment is only being used by someone who's proven themselves time and time again.
[SPEAKER_03]: superior experience, words, hardened veterans.
[SPEAKER_01]: And we'll cover this weird to the imperial night's cast, but this is one of the big knocks on the imperial nights.
[SPEAKER_01]: Is that because you have to link to the night, the person using the night gets experience, but only with that night.
[SPEAKER_01]: So if you may, you know, you may fight a tight, well, tights have more than one crew, but you might fight.
[SPEAKER_01]: But you would fight an imperial night.
[SPEAKER_01]: You couldn't theory fight an imperial like who's never been in combat before.
[SPEAKER_01]: Now, whereas a town, is it town hours, is that the big one?
[SPEAKER_01]: The supremacy suit, is the big one?
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, you fight that.
[SPEAKER_01]: The guy in the supremacy suit, you're his like nine hundredth battle.
[SPEAKER_01]: Like he, he, he, he, he, he, he, he, he, he, he, he, he, he, he, he, he, he, he, he, he, he, he, he, he, he, he, he, he, he, he, he, he, he, he, he, he, he, he, he, he, he, he, he, he, he, he, he, he, he, he, he, he, he, he, he, he, he, he, he, he, he, he, he, he, he, he, he, he, he, he, he, he, he, he, he, he, he, he, he, he, he, he, he, he, he, he, he
[SPEAKER_01]: Let's spend a little bit of time on the suits themselves and some of like, you know, how they're used.
[SPEAKER_01]: The biggest one to me are the stealth battle suits because, as we said before, the tower giant cowards.
[SPEAKER_03]: So, we have, we have top of the line, stealth technology, dispersion fields,
[SPEAKER_03]: They've got a centurion, dreadnought.
[SPEAKER_03]: Sneak very sneaky.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, the stealth suits are actually are they're really cool.
[SPEAKER_01]: So the idea is that the stealth suit actually doesn't just make you camouflage because don't forget very few things in Forty Kay actually use their eyes to see you.
[SPEAKER_01]: It actually camouflage electronically.
[SPEAKER_01]: Now, small flaw on this logic, how do you camouflage against warp site when you're, when you don't, when you're a non-warp entity?
[SPEAKER_03]: Well, you think you can.
[SPEAKER_01]: Maybe if I just sit here very, very still, I won't see me.
[SPEAKER_01]: But, you know, that's one of those ones where I'm, I'm nitpicking just that you can poison necrons as night fighting for space marines, whatever.
[SPEAKER_01]: That's fine if still suits can, can not be seen by demons of corn.
[SPEAKER_03]: And in the, in the still suits have,
[SPEAKER_03]: A fairly impressive amount of weaponry, be in there the smallest of the battles suit.
[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, obviously firewares are in armor.
[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
[SPEAKER_01]: But they're meant to be the smallest.
[SPEAKER_01]: And they serve a massive purpose in the table top.
[SPEAKER_03]: Also, if you want to check them out, watch the X-A-Dite on.
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, yes.
[SPEAKER_01]: It's a very good deal.
[SPEAKER_01]: It's a stealth team.
[SPEAKER_01]: Let's get my PTSD out of the ground.
[SPEAKER_01]: Either way, there's next couple, the crisis battles suit.
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, it's the most common.
[SPEAKER_01]: It's the most common.
[SPEAKER_03]: It also comes with the most the wildest array of possible weapons.
[SPEAKER_01]: Not anymore.
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, that's definitely more.
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, I know how upset Tal players were when Tent Edition Code X came out because they had to really break their models.
[SPEAKER_03]: But still, they think, I mean, even in Loran on the table, they at least have the most option of they do.
[SPEAKER_01]: And just for you, we want talking about.
[SPEAKER_01]: So the towel,
[SPEAKER_01]: crisis suits for a long time.
[SPEAKER_01]: They were basically you had three weapons systems you could put on in any combination whatsoever.
[SPEAKER_01]: So people would build them with like the three best three best systems.
[SPEAKER_01]: But when you buy these models, they wouldn't come with one of each.
[SPEAKER_01]: So if you just bought a pack of three, you could give each of those three, one, you know, one of each battle system.
[SPEAKER_01]: People would spend extra money, they used three D printers, whatever it was, and they would make them with three of the top one.
[SPEAKER_01]: and GW really that wasn't a good thing and so the latest codex for the first time in the history of the town they made that not doable and so a lot of players who put a lot of time and effort to building and painting their models had to break them so the crisis suits though are
[SPEAKER_01]: They're probably the most famous looking of all of them.
[SPEAKER_03]: They're also the most common for.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, they're used because because they can they can be a dad to the beauty of the crisis, so it's an electric crisis.
[SPEAKER_01]: They basically create a crisis.
[SPEAKER_01]: They're not used for the crisis.
[SPEAKER_03]: They rapid insertion.
[SPEAKER_03]: They can show up.
[SPEAKER_03]: They're very fast.
[SPEAKER_03]: They can jump down.
[SPEAKER_01]: and their weapons systems, not just the weapons, but also there's other systems like targeting systems, drone controllers, all this stuff coming there so that when they're deployed, they're deployed for maximum efficiency.
[SPEAKER_03]: And I think that the crisis suits still probably has the most
[SPEAKER_03]: customizability.
[SPEAKER_03]: We can be had.
[SPEAKER_01]: I'll give the towel credit here.
[SPEAKER_01]: The way the towel wage war is meant to be one of like we're going to I know my opponent and instead of making nothing in the towel army is meant to be a take all commerce.
[SPEAKER_01]: Everything is meant to be you know specifically targeted and we're going to use these specific pieces in combat.
[SPEAKER_01]: But let's talk about the real one.
[SPEAKER_01]: The big boys screw reptides, screw reptides, screw reptides.
[SPEAKER_01]: They're big, they have a very big gun, they're hard to kill, and they were the bait of my existence for years.
[SPEAKER_01]: But they do look awesome.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I think it's one of the top two best looking models in the thing.
[SPEAKER_01]: If you don't know what they look like, did you play Robotac or Rifts?
[SPEAKER_01]: Because how?
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: How has the models for you and GW has some explaining to do?
[SPEAKER_01]: What?
[SPEAKER_03]: You've got some explaining to do.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, this storm surge in the town are also look amazing, but yeah, but the rip tide is.
[SPEAKER_03]: The rip tide is iconic for a town.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: I say crisis suits are the
[SPEAKER_01]: He's quite as suits are other meat and potatoes that the rip tide is, you know, the, the, the, the, it's the flash.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it's just like it's like the, the rip tides.
[SPEAKER_01]: And they've actually had really great rules on their guns that have made a lot of sense that the rip tide comes in.
[SPEAKER_01]: The idea of the rip tides, when the crisis suits kind of come in and mass the rip tides come in like more.
[SPEAKER_03]: And they, and they used to come from the, the rear, they're firing and moving opposite.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and they have giant guns, they're very quick.
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, the rip tide is borderline and held our weapon.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, they kind of move.
[SPEAKER_01]: They can move that fast.
[SPEAKER_01]: They hit that hard.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I like reptiles.
[SPEAKER_03]: And it's a big thing.
[SPEAKER_03]: And then you've got the broad sides.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yep, which is the same thing, which is a heavier walker.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_03]: It's a kind of a smaller version of the reptile almost to be honest with you.
[SPEAKER_01]: I hate both of them.
[SPEAKER_03]: Well, it's using their heaviest weaponry though.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I mean, with a heavier area.
[SPEAKER_01]: It is, yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: Let's listen and I'm talking about this one thing on Tao I really do like, which is their tech.
[SPEAKER_01]: The tech's awesome.
[SPEAKER_01]: They're just nothing.
[SPEAKER_01]: So we said before that they Tao were often caught trading with other civilizations.
[SPEAKER_01]: It's not for food.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: Because I'm assuming the humans in Tao have different digestive systems.
[SPEAKER_01]: probably, like, I don't know the town eat, but it's probably not corp starch, who knows?
[SPEAKER_01]: By the way, the town are known for trading weaponry.
[SPEAKER_01]: That's what you do with the town.
[SPEAKER_01]: And it's because their weaponry is, it's them and like, dark-held are probably the vote ten now, are the most advanced technology in the galaxy.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
[SPEAKER_03]: And a lot of the, well, we talked about it a little bit in the other cast.
[SPEAKER_03]: The other weaponry is more advanced, but a lot of it
[SPEAKER_03]: weren't in concert with psychic.
[SPEAKER_01]: That's my point.
[SPEAKER_01]: And the elder technology, to me, is not as impressive because they've got an extra boost to it.
[SPEAKER_01]: Whereas, Votan, Jukari, and Tao can't.
[SPEAKER_01]: So to me, it's that weapon reads a lot better.
[SPEAKER_01]: Main one, there's so many of this.
[SPEAKER_01]: You've got the anti-grave technology that allows their vehicles.
[SPEAKER_01]: The thing about, we talked about Tao anti-grave that I like pointing out is it's not just that they can make a flying tank.
[SPEAKER_01]: because you're going to make a flying tank that can fire a gun that should be on a spaceship with accuracy.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, they do bring the big guns and they mount them on several different types of chassis still.
[SPEAKER_03]: So it's fairly impressive on that.
[SPEAKER_03]: And one of the things on the tile technology is, I'll just go in in contrast with the Imperium technology, is all this stuff safe.
[SPEAKER_03]: The Ethereum is just super okay with you overloading things and just blowing yourself up.
[SPEAKER_01]: Okay, I mean, how plasma does this really cool thing called work?
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, town plasma is probably one of the most famous ones in it because town plasma, you just sit there and everyone else has plasma that will overheat on occasion and blow up the user sometimes other people near it.
[SPEAKER_01]: No, town
[SPEAKER_01]: plasma just works, and tau plasma also works at multiple levels.
[SPEAKER_01]: When we talk about tau plasma, for example, Imperial plasma is a very large one.
[SPEAKER_01]: You've got plasma guns and plasma cannons, and they're both big giant backpacks.
[SPEAKER_01]: The tau, they're fire warriors who are effectively guardsmen carry a plasma gun.
[SPEAKER_01]: It's a poultry level.
[SPEAKER_01]: A poultry level shoots, it's pulses of plasma.
[SPEAKER_03]: And they're, their plasma technology is late years ahead.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: They're, they're eye on technology's next one, although note that in a second.
[SPEAKER_01]: So Ion's is when they just used magnets to shoot, compacted ionized particles at something.
[SPEAKER_01]: This is technology that primarily is used, that the impairing uses on nights and on starches.
[SPEAKER_01]: I would say on ships.
[SPEAKER_01]: The towel used it on walkers.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_03]: I'll say on tiny.
[SPEAKER_01]: All though, interestingly, in the last, I mean, this is very new.
[SPEAKER_01]: The black library book that came out, I mean, it's like less than a month ago.
[SPEAKER_01]: I think it was like a September or October.
[SPEAKER_01]: they point out that the Tao got this technology from the Votan, which is very new though.
[SPEAKER_01]: We were very, it's that the Tao had been using ion technology for seven additions now.
[SPEAKER_01]: And now with like, with like, I'm less than a month from time of recording, it was like, oh, by the way, they got all that from the Votan.
[SPEAKER_01]: So, eh, just pointing out, but I have to call it out because I do know it.
[SPEAKER_01]: But the Tao also do use my from sci-fi standpoint, my favorite gun that exists, which is a rail gun.
[SPEAKER_01]: Why?
[SPEAKER_01]: Because I play battle tech, you know, and Mac Warrior.
[SPEAKER_01]: Real guns.
[SPEAKER_01]: I love real guns.
[SPEAKER_01]: I will never not love real guns.
[SPEAKER_01]: My faith, it's just, I don't know, everyone's on the other thing.
[SPEAKER_01]: My sci-fi thing has always been real guns.
[SPEAKER_01]: And the town not only have
[SPEAKER_01]: Awesome railguns, but it actually is a railgun.
[SPEAKER_01]: As opposed to the weird gals that that's not comes off, which is not gals at all.
[SPEAKER_01]: This is an actual railgun.
[SPEAKER_03]: It does damage.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, although just do know for those of you who ran hammer heads with railguns and missed.
[SPEAKER_01]: Whoopsie.
[SPEAKER_01]: The tears of your sadness.
[SPEAKER_01]: People were my soul.
[SPEAKER_01]: Cover that in a second.
[SPEAKER_01]: The towel railgun is, it's a rug on those on a rug and uses magnets to shoot basically a super heavy slug at incredible speed at something.
[SPEAKER_01]: And these slug can either be a solid piece, I'll just blow through something or can be an explosive tip.
[SPEAKER_01]: And QGW's credit in ninth edition, they made these things amazing.
[SPEAKER_03]: They did gigantic damage.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, in ninth edition, which is the edition prior to this, they had what I believe are the perfect rules.
[SPEAKER_01]: If you had one, if you successfully rolled to hit your opponent and a wounded, that was the end.
[SPEAKER_01]: There was no saves.
[SPEAKER_01]: We went right to damage and the damage it did could one shot a tank off the board, which is exactly what a rail gun could do.
[SPEAKER_01]: Now the fun part
[SPEAKER_01]: was they also could reroll this.
[SPEAKER_01]: If they missed, this is why I'm a brand knows why I'm laughing at this.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, you could reroll this into my great joy.
[SPEAKER_01]: All you had to do was on it, one that is six.
[SPEAKER_01]: Roll it two, three, four, five, or six.
[SPEAKER_01]: And I played against people who would somehow roll a one twice in a row.
[SPEAKER_01]: They were so sad and I would just like to say you were so sad for them.
[SPEAKER_01]: I can I'm not going to waste that time here, but I had a guy literally lose a game because of it because he did that and left stuff out there and then the counter explosion I did back with my fire presence took out have this army.
[SPEAKER_01]: Anyway, let's go into the expansion.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, let's go into like true towel.
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, let's do trial
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: Let's go into Tao history.
[SPEAKER_03]: How now?
[SPEAKER_03]: Trial Tao.
[SPEAKER_01]: All right.
[SPEAKER_01]: So let's talk about the Tao expansion.
[SPEAKER_01]: So as we said, the Tao were the most advanced race in the galaxy, but that's everything but space travel.
[SPEAKER_01]: They could do plasma, Gauss, AI, Antigrave, Rale, but they actually struggled even to get anywhere.
[SPEAKER_01]: much closer than sub-light.
[SPEAKER_01]: They couldn't get the sub-light speed initially.
[SPEAKER_01]: They just had a giant share.
[SPEAKER_03]: There was just big ships that took forever.
[SPEAKER_03]: So, they have what their expansion takes place in spheres.
[SPEAKER_01]: They do spheres of expansion, which are effectively... It's a word neither of us can pronounce on camera, onto a microphone, by the way, sphere, sphere.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: Is that the we both had sphere and sphere?
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, so each expansion is called a sphere.
[SPEAKER_01]: The reason why is because they actually go out in a spherical pattern.
[SPEAKER_01]: They're not, you know, they're trying to, it's the town they want to expand.
[SPEAKER_01]: They want to expand evenly.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, they want to expand evenly because one of their biggest things about their military and everything.
[SPEAKER_03]: They want to make sure that they can't get
[SPEAKER_03]: Logistics disrupted.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, don't want things behind them.
[SPEAKER_01]: And into that point with we just said they don't have they never mastered like high speeds base travel.
[SPEAKER_01]: So they kind of need to have the logistics.
[SPEAKER_01]: It's easier to expand almost linearly out than even pattern because it's that way all of your logistics are kind of predaking care of.
[SPEAKER_01]: So the first sphere of expansion was fifteen hundred years has started in the thirty seven.
[SPEAKER_01]: and ended near the end of them thirty eight and was a massive success.
[SPEAKER_01]: This is the one where they got the crew the Nikosar the Theraxians.
[SPEAKER_03]: Well, I also think this is one of the biggest things because this was such a huge success.
[SPEAKER_03]: I think it pushed the towel.
[SPEAKER_03]: more for the greater good.
[SPEAKER_03]: Obviously, we're so successful.
[SPEAKER_03]: Everything's working out perfectly.
[SPEAKER_03]: Our worldview is the way.
[SPEAKER_01]: Exactly.
[SPEAKER_01]: And they also, the big one here is that they actually wiped out the orcs who are in the sector during this period of time.
[SPEAKER_01]: So at the end of this, the town genuinely felt the galaxy was just for their taking, and they're ready for it.
[SPEAKER_01]: So they set the earth cast to work to create a new spaceship engine, and this one was able to get them to not quite light speed, but just sublight speed travel.
[SPEAKER_01]: Again, because you shield drones apparently, they're faster.
[SPEAKER_01]: And two hundred years after the end of the of the first sphere, the second sphere began.
[SPEAKER_01]: This one last actually almost twice as long and twenty five hundred years.
[SPEAKER_03]: This is the majority of.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and it just ends in M forty one.
[SPEAKER_01]: And much like the first sphere, it started off to incredible success.
[SPEAKER_01]: They teamed the Vespids.
[SPEAKER_01]: Thanks to the ethereal's.
[SPEAKER_01]: their encounters with the Orcs continued to be in a good situation for them.
[SPEAKER_01]: And then they actually ran this really great race of called humanity.
[SPEAKER_01]: who, you know, were in the perfect partner for them for spending the greater good.
[SPEAKER_03]: Well, which is a big deal because they met humanity before they met the imperial.
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, they didn't know what it was.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, they, they, they, they traded with humans for a long time.
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, for the public, I mean, they might have been hundreds of years.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, hundreds could even have thousand years where the towel met the, these are fringe colonies of the imperial.
[SPEAKER_01]: These, I mean, at this far out, the astronomical, I have not even that bright
[SPEAKER_01]: That's how far away from Tara this is.
[SPEAKER_01]: And over time though, the ethereal's made a mistake.
[SPEAKER_01]: And the mistake, the ethereal's made was they began trading with humanity and the ethereal's felt, well, these people are in struggle.
[SPEAKER_01]: We should bring them into our fold.
[SPEAKER_01]: And the ethereal's reached out to the humanity humanity and explained to the water cast it, but it was ethereal's.
[SPEAKER_03]: It's a big deal because they told these fringe colonies that are probably getting
[SPEAKER_03]: little or no, period late because, again, they're French colonies.
[SPEAKER_03]: And they're like, we can help you out.
[SPEAKER_03]: And those people were like, awesome.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: I love help.
[SPEAKER_01]: And so they came over and they left the Imperium for the greater good.
[SPEAKER_01]: Fun story on the Imperium.
[SPEAKER_01]: The Imperium doesn't care.
[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: The Imperium's view point on a French colony trading with Zenos for technology.
[SPEAKER_01]: is like, hey, don't do that, but whatever.
[SPEAKER_01]: That colony leaving the Imperium to join the Xenos forces is called a crusade.
[SPEAKER_03]: There's some heresy of my care.
[SPEAKER_01]: So the Imperium discovers this, they don't say a word.
[SPEAKER_01]: they just begin the dama clies crusade.
[SPEAKER_01]: And the imperium sends at least this is what I was counting seven regiments, one of which was a cadian regimen, which is no joke.
[SPEAKER_01]: They did not, you don't send cadians unless you're really preparing for war.
[SPEAKER_01]: Ten space marine chapters, multiple battle cruisers, and just a ton of support.
[SPEAKER_01]: and the Imperium wrecks the Tao initially.
[SPEAKER_01]: Bad bad too.
[SPEAKER_01]: Like the first couple planets, and to be fair, the Tao have the Tao think what they're interacting with initially is the Imperium.
[SPEAKER_01]: They have no concept of how big this thing is and what it could bring to bear.
[SPEAKER_01]: The Imperium just exterminates these planets to nothing.
[SPEAKER_03]: Well, it reclaims something.
[SPEAKER_01]: It flatline.
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, they reclaimed them and executed every single human on them.
[SPEAKER_03]: For, for, you know, they did put some to the torch.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I mean, like that, it, the, the either exterminatus that by actually bombarding it from the space till it was an, an ashen rock or individually exterminatus every single thing on the planet, but either way,
[SPEAKER_01]: there was, there was some, there was an elbow room left over afterwards.
[SPEAKER_03]: And well, this left everybody in a weird thing.
[SPEAKER_03]: So the towel originally had no idea that big brother lived there.
[SPEAKER_03]: So the Imperium came in, Dick Swing and just smoke fencing him.
[SPEAKER_03]: But the Imperium also didn't know
[SPEAKER_03]: what they were dealing with either because they had only hit fringe resistance.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, and that's what happened.
[SPEAKER_01]: That's what we write.
[SPEAKER_01]: The Imperium got way too confident and they then went, okay, these guys, the Tao, have nothing on us.
[SPEAKER_01]: Let's go take them out and they push in and they push instead of out of a, because the first few worlds they hit were former imperial worlds.
[SPEAKER_01]: They then went to a planet or a system called Dal-Eath, D-A-L-Y-T-H.
[SPEAKER_01]: So we go with Daleth.
[SPEAKER_01]: They went into Dallas, the Dallyath, whatever.
[SPEAKER_01]: Dallyath was a town world.
[SPEAKER_01]: the tower colonized at a long time ago.
[SPEAKER_03]: This is a big deal.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_03]: You know, it's like us don't touch the boats.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_03]: Don't touch the actual tower.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
[SPEAKER_01]: And they get to Tallyath and immediately the war grinds to a halt.
[SPEAKER_01]: Just in the initial engagement for capital ships.
[SPEAKER_01]: I think I think I think one of two chapters got wiped out.
[SPEAKER_01]: They were not ready for the tower.
[SPEAKER_01]: We're in the trunk.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yes.
[SPEAKER_01]: and this war eventually devolved into a ground war and the towel begin using tactics that the imperms not used to which is effectively every city the towel can't hold it the imperms blasts through them but everything that it's not a city ever where there's cover the towel battle suits are just a nightmare for the showing up hidden leaving
[SPEAKER_01]: and also the crew become this thing.
[SPEAKER_01]: And this war drags on for months and only concludes because the high fleet behemoth enters the galaxy.
[SPEAKER_01]: It's not here it's a little bit a little bit further.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, but they also got the the note from home that you're redeployed.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, you're redeployed.
[SPEAKER_03]: Stop screwing around with whatever you're doing.
[SPEAKER_01]: Get out of the way.
[SPEAKER_01]: And the Imperium Negotiates a ceasefire with the towel which they do.
[SPEAKER_01]: and they leave.
[SPEAKER_01]: Both sides lost and won.
[SPEAKER_01]: That's why it's an interesting one.
[SPEAKER_01]: For the Imperium, they won by taking back the worlds and body check in the town.
[SPEAKER_01]: The town win by actually holding their own defeat in the Imperium, but also lose because they discover that they're all the plans they had for the galaxy are gone now.
[SPEAKER_01]: This is, they cannot defeat the imperium.
[SPEAKER_03]: They start gearing up though.
[SPEAKER_03]: This is a big deal too, because I actually think that the tile warm machine would have slowed down if they wouldn't have had this power.
[SPEAKER_01]: The tile, they're still just too small.
[SPEAKER_03]: No, but I'm saying, they fortile for the size of their, I think that they would have their military would have been a shadow of what it is right now, if they wouldn't have got to have this happen.
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, yes.
[SPEAKER_01]: It did speed them up.
[SPEAKER_03]: because they knew that, oh, we need real shit.
[SPEAKER_03]: You have to think that up until this point, Tows undefeated and everybody they met and left.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, and let's, let's spend on a wide that is, because the thing about Taoist technology is great, but technology without tactics and leadership's not has no value.
[SPEAKER_01]: The real reason that the imperium ground to a halt at that life, or doubt-yeth, whatever, is commander pure tide.
[SPEAKER_01]: Commander pure tide is probably, no, he can probably, is the greatest tactical mastermind of the town I've ever had.
[SPEAKER_00]: We'll be right back after a quick break.
[SPEAKER_01]: He got his chops destroying Orcs, just oddly, like almost no casualty fighting Orcs.
[SPEAKER_01]: He actually took over the defense of Dallas, and he's the reason why the imperium just couldn't function because he was so good tactically.
[SPEAKER_01]: Because as we said, the tower probably outnumbered in this battle, tend to want.
[SPEAKER_03]: Except for the fact that they had Hannibal.
[SPEAKER_01]: Just leading the way, and the imperium didn't really know how to handle this.
[SPEAKER_01]: Now, the reason that pure tide's so important is more his legacy.
[SPEAKER_01]: So what he does is great, but his legacy is where the towel kind of
[SPEAKER_01]: town story gets a bit more interesting.
[SPEAKER_01]: As we said before, town don't live very long, and they're all it's not a very sturdy creature.
[SPEAKER_01]: Somehow, they don't explain how there's a sentence in a book.
[SPEAKER_01]: There is supposed to be some sort of radar battle where he gets injured, like mortally wounded basically.
[SPEAKER_01]: The ethereals freak out when they see this, because they realize their best commander is going to die.
[SPEAKER_03]: This is awesome what they did though, because they effectively
[SPEAKER_03]: matrix him.
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, it's awesome.
[SPEAKER_01]: It's not awesome.
[SPEAKER_01]: So yeah, I think it's pretty cool.
[SPEAKER_01]: One's awesome part two doesn't hold up to math, but part one, yeah, Brad's right.
[SPEAKER_01]: Part one, they, they, they hook him into a machine and they just transfer his conscious into a, do a chip.
[SPEAKER_01]: Pure type, which is, you know, in the game plays a pure tide and, and gram chip is mean you can give your commander to make your commander better.
[SPEAKER_01]: It's because they're putting this end gram chip of pure tides thoughts into into the, into the commander.
[SPEAKER_01]: At the same time, though, the ethereal's weren't sure if this would work.
[SPEAKER_01]: And they decided, well, we have to preserve his leaders.
[SPEAKER_01]: And they realized, like we said, that talent won't live very long.
[SPEAKER_01]: So all of the people who'd learn from puretite would be dead within a hundred years.
[SPEAKER_01]: So they decide, there's three of them.
[SPEAKER_01]: Far-sight, shadow, son, and chias.
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not saying the real names.
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not.
[SPEAKER_01]: and they take two of them and they show them in stasis.
[SPEAKER_03]: They don't weird like vampire type thing.
[SPEAKER_03]: This is an underworld almost where they rotate through who's effectively out.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and this is the issue I have with this is can't let you just the math list doesn't work because Shadowson gets involved with a bunch of battles where
[SPEAKER_01]: Looks like she's might be out for like fifteen twenty years at a time.
[SPEAKER_01]: And then you went back into space.
[SPEAKER_01]: It's like right, but there's still, it's still running clock guys.
[SPEAKER_01]: Like, you know, you don't get reset each time you go into space.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_03]: Shadow Sun's been in a lot.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: Shadow Sun's probably like a hundred eighty years old.
[SPEAKER_01]: She's dead.
[SPEAKER_01]: But she's not, you know, Kaiser thing.
[SPEAKER_01]: They're tied.
[SPEAKER_03]: There's a reason why far sides.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, far sides.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, far sides.
[SPEAKER_01]: Fine.
[SPEAKER_01]: So
[SPEAKER_01]: Actually, no, let's do far sight now.
[SPEAKER_01]: Let's have some fun because let's just dive into it.
[SPEAKER_03]: I love me some far sight.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, so the third sphere of expansion is kind of the part where the animals in the farm realize that they would have better under farmer Jones.
[SPEAKER_01]: Sorry, wrong story.
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, it's an allegorical novella about Stalinism.
[SPEAKER_01]: Thanks, sir.
[SPEAKER_01]: It's so so good.
[SPEAKER_01]: It's spoiler alert.
[SPEAKER_01]: It sucks.
[SPEAKER_01]: We show this.
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, it's so funny.
[SPEAKER_01]: The third sphere is where the wheels are always on to come off the talent bar.
[SPEAKER_01]: The second sphere has just ended.
[SPEAKER_01]: They've realized that they're now that what they thought was a conquerable galaxy.
[SPEAKER_03]: They're starting by the way.
[SPEAKER_03]: They thought they were inevitable.
[SPEAKER_01]: They were a Thanos sitting in up here to be fair as they'll decide.
[SPEAKER_01]: The cow are in the bottom right corner of the galaxy, like all the way to the edge.
[SPEAKER_03]: Hold on, Eastern friend.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, there's their southeast of the center, whatever.
[SPEAKER_01]: So the bottom right portion of the galaxy and their portion of the galaxy more of what they touched was the dark space of the universe and the galaxy.
[SPEAKER_01]: So they don't realize how far this thing stretches to the left.
[SPEAKER_01]: So as they, and then now, that's how just discovered that, because in there like trading with the appearing him and with some of the worlds they conquered, they got star maps.
[SPEAKER_01]: And that's when they discovered, oh, and we move that sublight speed.
[SPEAKER_01]: So this is basically impossible.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: But as we said before, the ethereals are much more of a propaganda style leadership, and they don't want the regular towel to feel that way.
[SPEAKER_01]: So they immediately decide before anyone can figure out that this is kind of a losing battle for us, let's do another sphere.
[SPEAKER_01]: and they decide to make it even a bigger deal, they're going to bring Commander Farseid, who's pure tides number one commander.
[SPEAKER_03]: And as well as his bad motherfucker out there.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, pure the Farseid can fight.
[SPEAKER_01]: And to the idea was we're going to go re-establish ourselves as the greatest in the galaxy.
[SPEAKER_01]: And Commander Farseid's going to help us do that.
[SPEAKER_01]: And by the way, this writing on FarSight is very good.
[SPEAKER_01]: Very, very, very good.
[SPEAKER_01]: So we're going to, if you want to know more about it, there's books, numerous books on it.
[SPEAKER_01]: I just, just the sixth edition that was cool is hell anyway.
[SPEAKER_01]: Those are code excellence.
[SPEAKER_03]: Well, this is the FarSight had wild success.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, as far as that goes up to his north.
[SPEAKER_01]: From town and what but what he's supposed to remember is supposed to be a sphere of expansion.
[SPEAKER_01]: So idea was the theories would mark we want you to go this far up this far left this far right this far.
[SPEAKER_01]: He just went straight.
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, and he went straight and verse smart reason.
[SPEAKER_01]: He went he went up beat the orcs and they noticed is that what their maps showed was an asteroid belt on the outscore outscirts.
[SPEAKER_01]: was actually an orc fleet, because as we said for orcs, like to inhabit, you know, space hoax.
[SPEAKER_03]: And he said, I'm kidding, shit.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: And the ethereal said, no, you're not get back here.
[SPEAKER_01]: And he did, which is the first time.
[SPEAKER_03]: Well, he's also the farthest any commander has been away.
[SPEAKER_01]: The distance he's traveled.
[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
[SPEAKER_01]: And so he attacks the orcs and
[SPEAKER_01]: You know, as a case of every GW story, there's a lot of success and there's a stalemate.
[SPEAKER_01]: And then he goes and meditates for a while, aka the Rocky Four montage.
[SPEAKER_01]: And then he comes back and puts his boots on mighty ass kicking on and just says, I mean, it decides, well, what if we just burn the orcs from space?
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, he starts ruining the orcs.
[SPEAKER_01]: Which by the way, they're their fungus.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it always works.
[SPEAKER_01]: The Orcs just are getting wrecked and wrecked and wrecked and push his knee, push his knee, push his until he reaches a planet called Molok, which is different than Molek.
[SPEAKER_01]: So this one's M-O-L-O-C-H.
[SPEAKER_01]: M-O-L-E-C-H is the one the emperor went to to talk to the chaos gods.
[SPEAKER_01]: I had to call that I could took me a second when I read it.
[SPEAKER_01]: I was like, wait, the same spot?
[SPEAKER_01]: No.
[SPEAKER_01]: Molek though, this molek also has deep roots of chaos.
[SPEAKER_01]: It's known as having a bunch of faceless statues all over it that predate the Imperium.
[SPEAKER_01]: So the reason it matters is, while fighting the Orcs, a giant disk appears in the sky, which then cuts the sky open, and demons of corn descend on far-sighten as army.
[SPEAKER_01]: The towel win this, but two big things come out of it.
[SPEAKER_01]: First off, every ethereal, that was a shaperone with them.
[SPEAKER_03]: All died.
[SPEAKER_01]: All died.
[SPEAKER_01]: Which is really, really, really important.
[SPEAKER_01]: The other one that's really important for far-sight is in one of the battles he's fighting in like an old building and he picks up a blade that's lying on the ground and used it to kill the demons.
[SPEAKER_01]: Obviously, he didn't leave that blade there.
[SPEAKER_01]: The towel didn't put the blade there.
[SPEAKER_03]: corn did, which is weird because it's still probably a chrome blade, which isn't it?
[SPEAKER_03]: He basically picked up storm right here.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_03]: Far sight now has a blade that sucks the life force from me.
[SPEAKER_03]: If you've read the books, they're amazing.
[SPEAKER_03]: All are amazing.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, we'll get into that in a second.
[SPEAKER_01]: So there's a reason why he's still alive.
[SPEAKER_01]: What happens next for Puritide though is real.
[SPEAKER_01]: What happens next for Puritide for Far sight though is really important.
[SPEAKER_01]: They're noetherials within
[SPEAKER_01]: light years of him, and his brain just starts to work differently.
[SPEAKER_01]: He's getting notes from the ethereal's telling him to do something, and he's just going, no, far sides really far from even a single ethereal, let alone the main ethereal's.
[SPEAKER_01]: And the issue is that their affect on him is gone.
[SPEAKER_01]: And he begins to notice it, because they start giving him commands to do things.
[SPEAKER_01]: And the theoryals don't talk to the cow in a very nice way.
[SPEAKER_01]: It's extreme authority, because they can mind control you.
[SPEAKER_01]: So they're speaking to a deck way.
[SPEAKER_01]: And far sides reaction is, yeah, I'm not doing that.
[SPEAKER_01]: This then leads to a crisis of faith moment for him, where he starts to realize that he always listen to the theoryals, even when he shouldn't have.
[SPEAKER_03]: This is why I love the far side though, because far side after having this come to Jesus' moment decides, well, if I go back,
[SPEAKER_03]: One of my options, do I lead a rebellion?
[SPEAKER_03]: He's like, everyone knows, because of the teaching of their history.
[SPEAKER_03]: I don't want to shatter, because no matter what he thinks of the materials, that's still ingrained in him.
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, because he knows, yeah, and this is where far, his biggest problem is that, is that he realizes that the materials are bad.
[SPEAKER_01]: He realized that they're manipulating the town and controlling the town to their own ends, oftentimes making the town do things that are not good for the town, but
[SPEAKER_01]: historically, they save the town.
[SPEAKER_01]: And if you take away, because it's also not just the town, the crude, the vaspid.
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, the ethereal's are the very critical glue holding the entire empire together.
[SPEAKER_03]: And far side is very pro-tow.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yep, above everything else.
[SPEAKER_01]: Which is, he's a compelling character.
[SPEAKER_01]: At the same time, he also has that realization of like, what the hell did I just go to war with?
[SPEAKER_01]: and begins to realize that the ethereals were pushing him less to not pursue the Orcs, and more to not be on Molek, which made him then realize they know something.
[SPEAKER_01]: The ethereals are aware of stuff that they're not telling us.
[SPEAKER_01]: And so far-sight initially builds up a little army.
[SPEAKER_01]: This is called this is what we hear the far-sight on-clave.
[SPEAKER_01]: He fortifies this region of space and aims him as fortifications back towards town space.
[SPEAKER_01]: making it very clear that this is an independent part of the Tao Empire.
[SPEAKER_01]: No one has ever done this.
[SPEAKER_01]: He then decides to go on his own little walkabout that discover more about what's really going on in the galaxy.
[SPEAKER_03]: Well, what's the truth?
[SPEAKER_03]: He wanted to actually have the truth of what is happening in the galaxy.
[SPEAKER_03]: To be honest, they didn't know shit about shit.
[SPEAKER_01]: Now, the leader of the town, the three-year-old name, I'm Vah, we're going to get to a little bit.
[SPEAKER_03]: I'm Vah's not furious anymore.
[SPEAKER_01]: It's still mad, just not quite him.
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm saying his projection.
[SPEAKER_01]: On Vah declares far-sight a trader to the greater good.
[SPEAKER_01]: Fun story, though, about this, is that I think on Vah's viewpoint was this will work itself out.
[SPEAKER_01]: Because far-sight will be dead in fifteen, twenty years.
[SPEAKER_01]: I'll deal with it then.
[SPEAKER_01]: But as Brad mentioned earlier, the blade that far-side picked up was a demon blade.
[SPEAKER_01]: He's willing star-brain.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: He's sucking souls.
[SPEAKER_01]: Look, not anymore though.
[SPEAKER_01]: That's the funny thing about this.
[SPEAKER_01]: So this blade, it's a blade of corn.
[SPEAKER_01]: And what it does is every time you kill someone with it, it sucks their life essence out of them and puts it into you.
[SPEAKER_01]: To this point, far-sight is now thousands of years old.
[SPEAKER_01]: and currently in the current form because he was wheeled this blade.
[SPEAKER_01]: Now he actually does it certain point abandoned the blade and goes on a walk out the blade in his hand right now in the game.
[SPEAKER_01]: I was just weird because in the lore he doesn't have it anymore and then in the game he has it again.
[SPEAKER_03]: Well he wouldn't acknowledge the fact that body still alive.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yes, okay, you know what and that could be wrong about this.
[SPEAKER_01]: I was this I was reading into this quite a bit and it's the right I confused so the story is
[SPEAKER_01]: that at some point he just puts the blade down, walks away from it.
[SPEAKER_01]: So I took that to be all the life essence that was put into him is just there now.
[SPEAKER_01]: So basically, which makes it the greatest blade ever.
[SPEAKER_01]: You should run there, kill a bunch of fools, and then just throw it away before corn can take you over and live forever.
[SPEAKER_01]: It's like all wind, no doubt, it's a bunch.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_03]: But in the game, he still has it.
[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know what they're trying to do with that.
[SPEAKER_03]: So, did be perfect notice with you?
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: And they'll be on us.
[SPEAKER_01]: That's kind of it.
[SPEAKER_01]: Like there's more on far a site, but I think there's more books about it where he keeps trying to uncover the secrets of the universe.
[SPEAKER_01]: And he never does.
[SPEAKER_03]: The first day books are good.
[SPEAKER_01]: They're good, but just at a certain point you're kind of like, oh, so does he ever discover what the ethereal is are?
[SPEAKER_03]: Nope.
[SPEAKER_01]: Nope.
[SPEAKER_01]: Does he discover what chaos is?
[SPEAKER_01]: Not really.
[SPEAKER_01]: but does he randomly show up when the town need him most?
[SPEAKER_03]: And fight with huge forces.
[SPEAKER_03]: He's actually got a shit ton of stuff.
[SPEAKER_01]: He's got a massive force, and he's got a massive force which is primarily suits.
[SPEAKER_03]: And why they fight like that?
[SPEAKER_01]: And incredibly loyal to the town.
[SPEAKER_01]: As much as he doesn't care much for the ethereal,
[SPEAKER_01]: He cares the towel massively, the tower endangered he will arrive.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yep.
[SPEAKER_03]: And the thing is, is that he's got a lead fighting force, because these are all veterans of many a war.
[SPEAKER_01]: But the third sphere of expansion began with farceite, with him leading, on-vot, then decides, well, I'm not going to take a loss on my sphere of my sphere, and he orders a shadow son, be welcome, not from stasis.
[SPEAKER_01]: Shadow son,
[SPEAKER_01]: This is annoying because my my toe
[SPEAKER_01]: Farseik is Maka.
[SPEAKER_01]: Shadowson is Kaion.
[SPEAKER_01]: Luckily as we said before, they're the same thing.
[SPEAKER_03]: But in the big thing about this is Shadowson becomes the poster child for the child.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_03]: Completely.
[SPEAKER_03]: They just, every, everywhere you go, there's posters.
[SPEAKER_01]: Shadowson.
[SPEAKER_01]: And Shadowson can fight.
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not, I'm not belittling Shadowson.
[SPEAKER_01]: Shadowson's problem though is that she was woken up at a very bad time for the galaxy.
[SPEAKER_01]: because this is, we're getting very close to the end of the forty-first millennia.
[SPEAKER_01]: So, or war, war bands are now warguas.
[SPEAKER_01]: You've got tyrannids, incursions are now high fleets.
[SPEAKER_01]: Nick Runtak, Necron Tomb Worlds are awakening everywhere, and more importantly, humanity's not done with town.
[SPEAKER_01]: They had to leave for a bit, but they're still coming back.
[SPEAKER_01]: So Shadow Sun's able to have a lot of successes during this third sphere
[SPEAKER_01]: But she's still not able to get any real success.
[SPEAKER_01]: Namely, you know, she also has a pretty big loss in that the leader of Tao Dying, which five minutes will be there in five minutes, I promise.
[SPEAKER_03]: Tao, the Tao people don't know that?
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, all right, I say do.
[SPEAKER_01]: Oh no, you're going to tell other men the Tao fans, yeah.
[SPEAKER_03]: No, it's not fans know that.
[SPEAKER_03]: I'm saying the towel.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and the problem for the call it for Shadow Sun though is right at the end of the third sphere.
[SPEAKER_01]: A cowardice assassin sneaks on to her ship and mortally wounds her.
[SPEAKER_01]: They have to shove her back into the stasis to help her heal.
[SPEAKER_01]: So Shadow Sun
[SPEAKER_01]: comes in midway through the third sphere and then finishes the third sphere back in stasis because she got wrecked.
[SPEAKER_01]: Not because she's bad.
[SPEAKER_01]: I want to make that clear.
[SPEAKER_01]: It's not because she's an ineffective leader.
[SPEAKER_01]: She just came in at the worst possible time.
[SPEAKER_03]: Well, the worst possible time is probably the fourth sphere.
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, the fourth sphere is just funny.
[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, the fourth sphere lasted about eight seconds.
[SPEAKER_01]: So the fourth sphere of expansion, the town
[SPEAKER_01]: are upset.
[SPEAKER_01]: The theories are upset that the towel expansion just cannot is not moving at the speed and rate it needs to.
[SPEAKER_01]: So they tell the earth to make a warp drive.
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm assuming they got some this technology from mankind and they just basically went to copy it.
[SPEAKER_01]: But again,
[SPEAKER_01]: The towel have no navigators.
[SPEAKER_03]: No gallery fields.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, so they don't know what any of this stuff is.
[SPEAKER_01]: And if you've ever seen the movie event horizon, that's what happens next.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, two, a lot of towel.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, we have enough to one ship to an entire fleet.
[SPEAKER_01]: So the towel take, they build up this giant fleet where they're going to go into the stars within Congress.
[SPEAKER_03]: Also, this, this towel fleet had so many prototype weapons.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, although this was going to be game change and they all get there and they all flip the switch on and what happens is instead of them moving into the warp all the drives interact with each other Overload it and actually create a rift in the material where all those ships used to be and they're all sucked into the material
[SPEAKER_03]: And it's not good.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, that's the end of the fourth sphere.
[UNKNOWN]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_03]: You got to hope that a lot of them do a drag-o.
[SPEAKER_03]: Can you imagine just tau just fighting forever and then put your hand?
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, they kind of do.
[SPEAKER_01]: I mean, that's the thing.
[SPEAKER_01]: So the next one from that would be the fifth sphere.
[SPEAKER_01]: I decide we're not going to cover that here.
[SPEAKER_01]: And the reason why is to cover the fifth sphere of the tau
[SPEAKER_01]: We need to give you a lot more stories of what's going on elsewhere.
[SPEAKER_01]: So for those who were kind of newer to the cast for those who've been listening for a while, our plan has always been
[SPEAKER_01]: We're going to cover all the codexes effectively.
[SPEAKER_01]: And then we want to shift over and start telling the stories of some of the additions.
[SPEAKER_03]: And they start with the dish gathering story.
[SPEAKER_01]: It's like a way.
[SPEAKER_01]: Dominic Crusade, all these things, even some of the fifth and fourth edition story slides.
[SPEAKER_01]: They're easier because a good story writer, they weave in and out multiple races.
[SPEAKER_01]: So if we do a cast just on town,
[SPEAKER_01]: But this story is going to involve Orcs mankind, Eldar, all that stuff.
[SPEAKER_01]: So we're going to stop after the fourth sphere, and we'll cover the fifth sphere later.
[SPEAKER_01]: But we should finish with, is it Anva?
[SPEAKER_01]: Anva.
[SPEAKER_01]: Because the story of Anva is both critical to the current version of the town, but also is much more eye-opening into the situation of the ethereal.
[SPEAKER_01]: I've lost powerful in same powerful.
[SPEAKER_01]: So, Anva is the head ethereal who is in the if there's the head of the town.
[SPEAKER_01]: So, Anva is the unquestionable leader of the town.
[SPEAKER_01]: He even had a model for a little bit.
[SPEAKER_01]: Still has.
[SPEAKER_01]: Shouldn't.
[SPEAKER_01]: You can't touch it.
[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, there's two guys that protect the projector.
[SPEAKER_01]: So, Anva took over from Anway.
[SPEAKER_01]: During the forty-fourth millennia.
[SPEAKER_01]: Anva's main thing he was known for was that he always got his way.
[SPEAKER_01]: But more importantly, it's because he never had to correct anybody.
[SPEAKER_01]: Everyone, whenever they were in his presence, would always propose and suggest whatever it was on Vaughan it.
[SPEAKER_01]: So he came off as it's incredibly benevolent leader, because everything you asked him for everything, he always said yes.
[SPEAKER_01]: It was odd, though, that people would actually go to meet with him to propose one thing, and then when standing in front of them would propose a different one.
[SPEAKER_01]: no one to blame but yourself though.
[SPEAKER_01]: Far sight specifically has had memories of interaction with Anva that he thought were horrifying because to that end he went to meet with Anva with one plan in mind and then suddenly would just say something totally different.
[SPEAKER_01]: So Anva obviously has was it was my control.
[SPEAKER_01]: Better than anyone, basically projection level, mind control.
[SPEAKER_01]: The problem with Anva is his ideas were largely garbage.
[SPEAKER_01]: He was not, he was not a good leader.
[SPEAKER_03]: I think that he believed in the greater good as far as they were.
[SPEAKER_03]: I think I'm saying, I think he believed in town supremacy.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, but I mean, it's when you believe you're just going down this way in the same way the World War I generals did.
[SPEAKER_01]: You know, that's something like, yes, he believed in it, but there was no reason to believe in it.
[SPEAKER_01]: No, I'm not saying he was the proud.
[SPEAKER_01]: He put the towel into combatants that were just sloppy, or aggressive, that there was no chance for them to win these ones.
[SPEAKER_01]: And in my mind, he moved the towel backwards.
[SPEAKER_01]: The problem, though, is that despite this, no one in the towel can say anything, because first off, everyone, all the ideas weren't technically his,
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, they also spin a wild web of propaganda about how all of these things are actually good.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, they're all good.
[SPEAKER_01]: And he ends up elevating himself almost like deity within the town, which creates a lot of problems because you've got an incredibly ineffective leader who's effectively a deity within there.
[SPEAKER_01]: And he's so high up that the idea of not having him
[SPEAKER_01]: becomes a danger.
[SPEAKER_03]: Don't worry though, the Imperium took care of things for you.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, the Imperium saw this one pretty quick.
[SPEAKER_01]: It's called a colectus.
[SPEAKER_01]: So in nine, nine, nine of them, forty-one, which by the way is when everything happened in this game.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yep.
[SPEAKER_01]: The Imperium and the Tower at War.
[SPEAKER_01]: There's the closing days of the war on Va decides that he's going to go boost the troop morale by going to the forefront of the battle to better assist Shadow Sun there.
[SPEAKER_01]: This is right by the same time, a colletious takes out Shadow Sun.
[SPEAKER_01]: The Imperium Discover that on-va is on planet somewhere.
[SPEAKER_01]: And let's just say that became goal number one with the priority target when the absolute leader of your enemy is
[SPEAKER_01]: for whatever stupid reason on a planet that you're engaged on, you kind of shift the battle strategy.
[SPEAKER_03]: And the coexistence is fantastic because they can face.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I love this story.
[SPEAKER_01]: So the Office of Assignorum sends a Collexus after OnVa.
[SPEAKER_01]: Now, for those who don't know, because we covered them before, but we'll give it real quick, the Collexus are nasty because they actually face in and out of reality so they can walk through walls.
[SPEAKER_01]: OnVa is at a bunker deep in the planet.
[SPEAKER_01]: But again, the towel don't work with the warp or really understand the warp.
[SPEAKER_01]: So they built this thing, this bunker, to repel any and all enemy coming down the hallway.
[SPEAKER_01]: The co-axis coming in and out of the walls, phasing into reality, slaughtering all the towel there, because we'll ever get the towel suck at hand to hand combat.
[SPEAKER_01]: And the co-axis does not.
[SPEAKER_01]: No, no, no, no, no, no, no.
[SPEAKER_01]: Eventually, the colectus gets into the room with Anva and all that is written about is that Anva's death was neither swift nor merciful.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, that was probably not great.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: So, the town now, the supreme leader is dead at the hands of the Imperium.
[SPEAKER_01]: There's a potential for the entire town empire to collapse.
[SPEAKER_01]: So, they decide the best solution is to make a hologram.
[SPEAKER_01]: of Anva and load his essence into a computer programming, make a digital copy of it.
[SPEAKER_03]: And then he has two guards.
[SPEAKER_03]: Well, in the lore, he's got more books.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_03]: That basically keep everyone away from him.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it's funny because they make those new rules pass on Anva.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, you can never be around him without his honor guard next to him.
[SPEAKER_01]: You never let a touch Anva.
[SPEAKER_01]: The hard part about this is I can't tell if it's just a hologram, like if this is a Wizard of Oz thing, or is it sentient?
[SPEAKER_03]: I'm not, well they said they loaded this essence, so I have to believe that it's
[SPEAKER_03]: A, I sent him.
[SPEAKER_01]: That's because we know with pure tribe, we know with pure tribe, we know with pure tide, they loaded his brain and his thinking into an ingramed ship.
[SPEAKER_01]: Why couldn't they do that with On-Bah?
[SPEAKER_01]: In which case technically he still is, the leader, and he's still On-Bah.
[SPEAKER_01]: But then the more important piece was, would he still carry his ability to dump many people's minds?
[SPEAKER_01]: Right.
[SPEAKER_01]: Because the ethereal's have it.
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm interested in what they do more with this, if GW does anything with it.
[SPEAKER_01]: I think that the far-sight subplot could be really fleshed out.
[SPEAKER_01]: It's a weird thing where it probably wouldn't be good for the game if they did it, but I would like them to flesh out and explain what the theorials are.
[SPEAKER_01]: More from a story standpoint, where then you
[SPEAKER_01]: far-sight leads a rebellion because they discovered the theory.
[SPEAKER_01]: There's a lot of fun you could have with this, but it was also the first time.
[SPEAKER_03]: He has a shit ton of like earth cast and stuff with him too.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_01]: Well, because people are flocking to him because truthfully, if you can get away from the influence of the ethereals and you can think for yourself, you realize that far-sight's actually the most successful.
[SPEAKER_01]: And that's why I want to buy hands down.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, close.
[SPEAKER_01]: But anyway, I think that's probably enough, Tao.
[SPEAKER_03]: That's just enough.
[SPEAKER_01]: That's enough.
[SPEAKER_01]: We've covered enough.
[SPEAKER_01]: We'll do more later.
[SPEAKER_01]: I do hope for those of you who liked how this did the good night justice and for the rest of us.
[SPEAKER_01]: This is least informative.
[SPEAKER_01]: That's all I can give you.
[SPEAKER_01]: Next week, we're going to keep celebrating the holidays by doing things that listeners have requested and we're going to do spacewalks.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yep.
[SPEAKER_01]: There it goes.
[SPEAKER_01]: I was literally about to make the comment.
[SPEAKER_01]: Prepare to hear Brad's voice crack over and over as he does a rick flare woo.
[SPEAKER_03]: And there's no chance that I'm ever going to even pretend it's space roofs.
[SPEAKER_01]: It's space roofs.
[SPEAKER_03]: Always always.
[SPEAKER_01]: For those just all right, fun side note on this.
[SPEAKER_01]: Brad broke this army.
[SPEAKER_03]: True story.
[SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, true story.
[SPEAKER_01]: There is that this army got a worse codex because of Brad.
[SPEAKER_01]: And what he did with them.
[SPEAKER_01]: So it's probably a two-part cast on Space Wolves.
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm tailed in.
[SPEAKER_01]: This has been John Marosadian, Brad Jester.
[SPEAKER_01]: Just guy.
[SPEAKER_01]: Take care.
