WWE Week in Review: John Cena Has 11 Dates Left, No Brock Lesnar, Cody Rhodes Destroyed, Seth Rollins vs LA Knight, Clash in Paris Card

<v Speaker 5>Review on this Sunday, August tenth, twenty twenty five. As
<v Speaker 5>we are two weeks away, three weeks away, two weeks away,
<v Speaker 5>something like three weeks away from the next pl E
<v Speaker 5>Clash in Paris, And no, we do not get John
<v Speaker 5>Cena and bronck Losner at Clash in Paris. We're getting
<v Speaker 5>in Logan Paul and John Cena at Clash in Paris,
<v Speaker 5>which is yeah, tangering some people. But did anyone really
<v Speaker 5>expect Brocklesure to come back and then just be there
<v Speaker 5>on a week to week or even every other week basis?
<v Speaker 5>Do you remember brock Lesner's schedule? He was the Roman
<v Speaker 5>Reigns before Roman Reigns, was champion for four years Roman Reigns,
<v Speaker 5>if you remember, was Universal Champion and was absent for
<v Speaker 5>the most part as Universal Champion. He has a schedule
<v Speaker 5>that is very much like Romans in probably some ways
<v Speaker 5>even less in terms of the number of dates, so
<v Speaker 5>he is not going to be there maybe once or twice.
<v Speaker 5>When he does have his match announced against John Cena,
<v Speaker 5>it's likely that he'll be there a couple of times
<v Speaker 5>to help promote his matchup as expected. But we don't
<v Speaker 5>even have that matchup. But John Cena actually announced yet.
<v Speaker 5>Remember Clash in Paris is taking place in three weeks,
<v Speaker 5>so brock Lezzard's likely not going to be there, which
<v Speaker 5>means his match with John Cena is going to be
<v Speaker 5>postponed on September or beyond. As I look, and I'm
<v Speaker 5>going to take a look here at the ple schedule.
<v Speaker 5>I'm typing it out here because I have some some
<v Speaker 5>reservations about this, as we all do, with the number
<v Speaker 5>of pls, which is just too much, even if you're
<v Speaker 5>an avid wrestling fan ww fan, there's just too many
<v Speaker 5>damned ples to keep track of. So let's take a look.
<v Speaker 5>We went through, let's see here the clash or well,
<v Speaker 5>we're about to go through Clash in Paris, which takes
<v Speaker 5>place August thirty first, and then I don't see anything
<v Speaker 5>schedule for September. I have nothing on the card for
<v Speaker 5>September unless I'm in mistaken. The next ple, which is
<v Speaker 5>absolutely mind boggling, is October eleventh, and you know what
<v Speaker 5>it is, Crown Jewel. However, Crown Jewel is not this
<v Speaker 5>year going to be in Saudi Arabia. It's going to
<v Speaker 5>be in Perth, Australia. So if that matters to you
<v Speaker 5>guys and you're not a big fan of Saudi Arabia,
<v Speaker 5>I guess that softens it a little bit. But not
<v Speaker 5>only is it the next Poe after Clash and Paris
<v Speaker 5>Crown Jewel, but that is what's six weeks, so it's
<v Speaker 5>very possible that WWE does not do that brock Lesner
<v Speaker 5>John Cena match until Crown Jewel, I mean at the
<v Speaker 5>bare minimum. So there's that, so you know which really sucks.
<v Speaker 5>I mean, I'm a big I actually like brock Lesner.
<v Speaker 5>I mean, not to surprise anybody here, but a big
<v Speaker 5>fan of his in ring work, and I understand his
<v Speaker 5>schedule to understand what he needs to do. Understand he's
<v Speaker 5>making a bunch of money to barely do anything. And
<v Speaker 5>he shows up and they're just gonna milk this appearance
<v Speaker 5>at SummerSlam for the next six weeks. But it'd be
<v Speaker 5>nice if they could add a day or two in there,
<v Speaker 5>it's easily forgotten. And unless WWE on a weekly basis
<v Speaker 5>reminds us of what Brock Lesner did, which I don't
<v Speaker 5>know if they will, it's going to fall off our
<v Speaker 5>radar and be like, oh, yeah, that's right, like a
<v Speaker 5>month ago, he F five, Brocolar, he F five. Yeah,
<v Speaker 5>John Cena and whatever came of that again, So this
<v Speaker 5>could fall off pretty quickly. And yes, Brock will likely
<v Speaker 5>be back in early September to help promote Crown Jewel
<v Speaker 5>in October, which again is a massive unless something is
<v Speaker 5>popping up in September I'm not aware of. There is
<v Speaker 5>a big, big gap in WWE land for September, so
<v Speaker 5>we'll see what happens there. I don't know if they'll
<v Speaker 5>add something or if something's there that I'm not aware of.
<v Speaker 5>Very possible there. I'm just checking some other sites to
<v Speaker 5>make sure I did not miss something. I don't think
<v Speaker 5>I did. I don't think I did. I'm checking taking
<v Speaker 5>a look. I don't see anything, So it's going to
<v Speaker 5>feel like an eternity. So after that, though, of course,
<v Speaker 5>we've got Survivor series, which is another six weeks after
<v Speaker 5>Crown Jewel so get ready, guys, we're gonna have essentially
<v Speaker 5>a year between Plis. It's going to feel like starting
<v Speaker 5>after Crown Jewel, so up started starting with Crown Jewel
<v Speaker 5>because Clash in Paris is the last rapid fire pl E.
<v Speaker 5>But on top of that, my concern with Brock and
<v Speaker 5>John is that they're they're gonna have Broncko lizond or
<v Speaker 5>not explain anything.
<v Speaker 2>You know.
<v Speaker 5>John Cena comes out there this week and we'll talk
<v Speaker 5>a little bit more about that soon, but he essentially
<v Speaker 5>just said, if you want some, come get some. Well
<v Speaker 5>it's it's kind of weird that well Brock already did
<v Speaker 5>like he did John, you know. And I'm glad that
<v Speaker 5>the babyface character of John Cena's back. I think that
<v Speaker 5>is a very smart move by w WE, really the
<v Speaker 5>only move they could make without being making this a
<v Speaker 5>disaster for the last four months. But the fact that
<v Speaker 5>there's no explanation. John didn't even speculate as to why.
<v Speaker 5>It was just a matter of, oh, you know, you've
<v Speaker 5>got a John Cena problem. You want some, come get some.
<v Speaker 5>It's like, no Brock did Brock did at SummerSlam, you know.
<v Speaker 5>So my guess is though that we don't get a
<v Speaker 5>big promo from Brock When he does come back, he
<v Speaker 5>might say a word or two and we're just going
<v Speaker 5>to write it off by the announcers says, oh, that's
<v Speaker 5>what brock does. That that's just brockles that he does
<v Speaker 5>what he wants, which is of course lazy writing. It's
<v Speaker 5>frustrating as a fan, we're not even even given the
<v Speaker 5>respect to have a reason why brock Lesner does what
<v Speaker 5>he does, and the idea that he does what he
<v Speaker 5>wants to do is the biggest cop out ever. Brock
<v Speaker 5>Lesner should not be immune to the basic rules of storytelling,
<v Speaker 5>which is just explaining why things happen. Doesn't need to
<v Speaker 5>be every little thing. But you can't tell me this
<v Speaker 5>isn't something that is just it's beyond basic that we
<v Speaker 5>are to say we're owed. This is a slap in
<v Speaker 5>the face. But the fact that we're probably not going
<v Speaker 5>to get an explanation should be an even bigger slap
<v Speaker 5>in the face. Now I'm pre getting frustrated assuming they're
<v Speaker 5>not that we're not going to get an explanation, because
<v Speaker 5>that's kind of been the Brocolesner precedent when he does
<v Speaker 5>things as we know in the past with Cody Rhodes
<v Speaker 5>and others. He just does things and we're not given
<v Speaker 5>any kind of explanation as to why, which again, if
<v Speaker 5>we're all they're all about telling stories, that's a pretty
<v Speaker 5>crappy story. So all right, well, guys, welcome to the show.

<v Speaker 5>it's hard to find people when you work with them,
<v Speaker 5>to just be able to be reliable. Reliability is very
<v Speaker 5>difficult to come by in all walks of life. So
<v Speaker 5>I really appreciate, you know, of course I really enjoy
<v Speaker 5>her work, but also just how timely she's been with
<v Speaker 5>her reviews and getting them to me, so I wanted
<v Speaker 5>to publicly thank her for that. So if you guys

<v Speaker 5>all right? So John Cena comes out. Crowd loved it,
<v Speaker 5>as they should and as they will for the rest
<v Speaker 5>of the four months here and in the ring. He
<v Speaker 5>said that wwe feared going to Montreal for many years
<v Speaker 5>because company officials feared the fans would hijack the show.
<v Speaker 5>Sina said he never feared it because the show, the
<v Speaker 5>audience is the show. Back to pandering, but I'll take
<v Speaker 5>it over what we saw. The fans chanted seen his name,
<v Speaker 5>and he spoke about the energy in the building and said, quote,
<v Speaker 5>so imagine being somebody back back there trying to plan
<v Speaker 5>a show around you guys. And he said to imagine
<v Speaker 5>being someone inside the ring because the fans can be
<v Speaker 5>scary when they start singing and then the ola chance start,
<v Speaker 5>which I still don't understand. Happens everywhere except the United
<v Speaker 5>States because if you're from the US, I don't know.
<v Speaker 5>Maybe I'm just not as smart as the average person,
<v Speaker 5>but I know it's some sports chant that happens everywhere
<v Speaker 5>other than the US, because every time I go there,
<v Speaker 5>I'm like, what is this? It's just some kind of song.
<v Speaker 5>I guess I don't know, But anyway, Sina says he
<v Speaker 5>embraces and enjoys every second of the fans doing your thing.
<v Speaker 5>He said, quote because trust me, it doesn't last forever.
<v Speaker 5>And the fans were chanting thank you, Sina, and he
<v Speaker 5>said he'd be coming to He's been coming to Montreal
<v Speaker 5>for over two decades and had shared many valuable memories
<v Speaker 5>in the ring, and he said, thank you seems very genuine.
<v Speaker 5>Sina seemed to get a little bit emotional there legitimately,
<v Speaker 5>which was nice to see. And he said he had
<v Speaker 5>eleven dates left after this show and he's starting to
<v Speaker 5>understand that. He said he gets more and more afraid
<v Speaker 5>with each day that goes by. He thanked the fans
<v Speaker 5>for that, and he said the fans put up with him,
<v Speaker 5>so he wanted to leave with honesty and vulnerability. He
<v Speaker 5>said he was afraid that no matter how much he
<v Speaker 5>could give the fans during this limited time that it
<v Speaker 5>was gonna end up letting them down. And he's also
<v Speaker 5>afraid that w W will move on and the fans
<v Speaker 5>will just forget about him. Sina's said he's even afraid
<v Speaker 5>of brock Lesner. Well again, how are the fans gonna
<v Speaker 5>forget about it?
<v Speaker 2>I don't know.
<v Speaker 5>There's no way he actually believes that. I just John
<v Speaker 5>cena Is is one of although if you hear Michael Cole,
<v Speaker 5>he is definitively the greatest, But I that's an insanely
<v Speaker 5>subjective statement. So he is, I think inarguably one of
<v Speaker 5>the greatest of all time. I mean he defined a generation,
<v Speaker 5>his longevity, impact, Mike's skills, crossover, audience appeal, his connection
<v Speaker 5>with the younger fans and the women. Really I think
<v Speaker 5>defined his initial ten years, the back and forth chance,
<v Speaker 5>the rivalries he's had with Edge and others, which please
<v Speaker 5>be Edge, I really want Edges his final opponent. If
<v Speaker 5>you didn't already pick on that up, pick that up.
<v Speaker 5>I've been a big proponent of Adam Copland somehow being
<v Speaker 5>able to be ready for December, if he can somehow
<v Speaker 5>manage it from a contract and physical perspective, I doubt it,
<v Speaker 5>but in my mind that's how it ends. But his
<v Speaker 5>other rivalries too, you know, John Cena against Hey even
<v Speaker 5>Big Show was a defining moment at WrestleMania twenty when
<v Speaker 5>he won the US title. Brock Lesner of course throughout
<v Speaker 5>the years. I mean, it's just it's incredible, and the
<v Speaker 5>fact that he actually thinks, if he actually does that,
<v Speaker 5>I mean, I don't know where that that's coming from.
<v Speaker 5>No one's going to forget who John Cena is. I mean, hell,
<v Speaker 5>people still remember wrestlers that shouldn't be remembered. I mean
<v Speaker 5>that there are men and women that have come and
<v Speaker 5>gone through the years and that that have no business
<v Speaker 5>being remembered by fans for various reasons, that have much
<v Speaker 5>less of a resume than John Cena does. And I
<v Speaker 5>have no doubt that the fans are not going to
<v Speaker 5>forget him, not a chance. But he also said that
<v Speaker 5>he's not going down without a fight, and he told
<v Speaker 5>Sena or Sena told Lezler to come get some and
<v Speaker 5>that anyone who chooses to face him should know that
<v Speaker 5>he's going to go downs guns blazing. And he looked
<v Speaker 5>to the stage and said, if you want some and
<v Speaker 5>the fans filled in and said, come get some classic
<v Speaker 5>John Cena promo here, just classic babyface. It's what we wanted.
<v Speaker 5>And I'm not complaining. There's there's no complaints here for
<v Speaker 5>me whatsoever. I was never the biggest John Cena fan.
<v Speaker 5>I'm still not. From a character perspective, I think that,
<v Speaker 5>and I can absolutely recognize as one of the biggest
<v Speaker 5>of all time, one of the greatest of all time.
<v Speaker 5>I just his his personality never resonated with me. I
<v Speaker 5>never as an older fan that went through the attitude era,
<v Speaker 5>went through the ruthless aggression era. I grew up with
<v Speaker 5>middle fingers and beer and you know, blood. And then again,
<v Speaker 5>John Cena was the face of the tv PG era
<v Speaker 5>that shifted the product to a much more family friendly,
<v Speaker 5>soft version of wrestling. And then you have the John
<v Speaker 5>Cena going from you know, phuganomics to you know, just
<v Speaker 5>being a a very much kind of wholesome babyface. It
<v Speaker 5>was a very much a modern version of Hulk Hogan
<v Speaker 5>that I think turned off a lot of the male audience.
<v Speaker 5>And when you hear the the crowd throughout the first
<v Speaker 5>ten years of his career, many of the people cheering
<v Speaker 5>for him were women and children, and the older crowd,
<v Speaker 5>particularly the males, were the ones rejecting him because it
<v Speaker 5>was such a change in the vibe the culture of
<v Speaker 5>pro wrestling when they changed from the TV fourteen to
<v Speaker 5>TVPG and I think that's a part of the reason.
<v Speaker 5>But so Logan, Paul comes out, and he said that
<v Speaker 5>this version of John Cena was making him sick, and
<v Speaker 5>the fans were censored. They were channing f U Logan,
<v Speaker 5>and Sena told him that they just may have had
<v Speaker 5>he may just have made the biggest mistake of his life.
<v Speaker 5>And Paul said he's been real since day one. He
<v Speaker 5>recalled Sena saying that Paul does WWE better than any
<v Speaker 5>professional wrestler, and Scena recalled saying it and added that
<v Speaker 5>Paul's the biggest dumbass that he's ever seen in his life.
<v Speaker 5>And Paul called Seena a liar and said, the bosses
<v Speaker 5>tell Sena what to say, and I don't need to
<v Speaker 5>hear that. Paul the logan, I mean whatever. But he
<v Speaker 5>said that he'd love a match with John Cena, who
<v Speaker 5>told him to be careful what he wishes for. Paul
<v Speaker 5>said it would have to be Sena versus Paul in
<v Speaker 5>a beautiful French speaking country, right in the middle of France,
<v Speaker 5>of course, playing on the Montreal crowd thinking he's talking
<v Speaker 5>about them. The fans booed, and Paul spoke about facing
<v Speaker 5>Sena at Clash in Paris. So that's when Drew McIntyre
<v Speaker 5>comes in the ring, hits Sena from behind. Paul and
<v Speaker 5>McIntyre put the boots to Sena, and then Cody Rhoades,
<v Speaker 5>the White Knight, comes out and helps Sena clear the
<v Speaker 5>ring and said he accepted the match with Paul for
<v Speaker 5>Clash in Paris, and said it seemed like Paul and
<v Speaker 5>McIntyre wanted to fight, and there's your tag team match
<v Speaker 5>for the night. So kind of cool. I mean, it's
<v Speaker 5>cool to see John Cena in action where he's not
<v Speaker 5>on a ple e because that's kind of where you
<v Speaker 5>expect him to be in a match at this point,
<v Speaker 5>are just PL's only. But it's nice to see him
<v Speaker 5>on a SmackDown competing because we're not gonna have too
<v Speaker 5>many of those left. What do we have eleven dates left?
<v Speaker 5>It's nothing. It's nothing if you crammed them all together,
<v Speaker 5>that's essentially like what a week and a half if
<v Speaker 5>he appeared every day for the next week and a half.
<v Speaker 5>Then that's it. So then we have the MotorCity machine
<v Speaker 5>Guns being interviewed backstage. Shelley had his ribs taped and
<v Speaker 5>noted that Saban's shoulder was taped under his jacket. Chris
<v Speaker 5>Saban said that they didn't get the job done at
<v Speaker 5>SummerSlam and their road back to the top would start
<v Speaker 5>right now. And that's when let's see here we got
<v Speaker 5>the MotorCity machine Guns taking on Chris Saban and Talatoga
<v Speaker 5>and Jace Matteo. This match ended up going seven minutes,
<v Speaker 5>the seven minutes and seven minutes of forty seconds with
<v Speaker 5>Talatanga and Jase Matteo beating the MotorCity machine Guns. So
<v Speaker 5>those that didn't see the match, and there was actually
<v Speaker 5>somebody that messaged me and wanted to know exactly how
<v Speaker 5>that happened. Here's the finish. We had Shelley and Saban
<v Speaker 5>set up for their finish, but Tala hit Shelley with
<v Speaker 5>a big boot, kicked them off the top rope, and
<v Speaker 5>Talatanga choke slammed him and got the pin. I liked
<v Speaker 5>it because it was a clean victory. I understand there
<v Speaker 5>was a distraction by Loa. But it's a tag team match.
<v Speaker 5>This made sense. Talatanga is the big dude to try
<v Speaker 5>and get him over. You don't want the big, tall
<v Speaker 5>guy who's the muscle of the group having to win
<v Speaker 5>by some kind of underhanded method. You can't have heels
<v Speaker 5>win clean. That is a thing that I think wrestling
<v Speaker 5>generally as an industry forgets. Sometimes you know, you can
<v Speaker 5>have the bad guy be the better guy. That is possible,
<v Speaker 5>not every time, obviously, but it's something that it's a
<v Speaker 5>finish that people forget. It's like, no, well the baby face,
<v Speaker 5>if it's ever straight up, just because they're a good guy,
<v Speaker 5>they should always win. No, No, I don't. I don't
<v Speaker 5>believe in that, just as fundamentally I think that's wrong.
<v Speaker 5>There are a lot of people in this world, if
<v Speaker 5>you want to have art imitate life, that are simply
<v Speaker 5>smarter than people that are better, more well intended. You
<v Speaker 5>ever heard of the phrase evil genius? That's a thing. Now,
<v Speaker 5>there's a lot of people that are evil, that are
<v Speaker 5>stupid but being brilliant and evil. It's a dangerous combination.
<v Speaker 5>But those people exist, and a lot of times they
<v Speaker 5>overcome and out perform those of those of you who
<v Speaker 5>are I guess you know, not as intelligent, but more
<v Speaker 5>well intended, a better person, and unfortunately happens. So I
<v Speaker 5>think in wrestling that should happen once in a while.
<v Speaker 5>All right, So then we had solos Coast stand in
<v Speaker 5>the ring and told the fan base to take a
<v Speaker 5>look because quote, this is what greatness looks like. Okay,
<v Speaker 5>talk about it very That's about as blend of a
<v Speaker 5>line as it gets. But Solo said Tala and Mateo
<v Speaker 5>are soon to be tag team champions, and that he
<v Speaker 5>was in his gear and feeling good, but there's no
<v Speaker 5>one to fight him. And he said that he and
<v Speaker 5>the MFTs were going to leave and go celebrate, and
<v Speaker 5>that's when nick All just says, not so fast, and
<v Speaker 5>that since Solo seems he's ready for a fight, he's
<v Speaker 5>got a special guest ready for a fight, and it
<v Speaker 5>was somebody that Solo knew well and someone who knew
<v Speaker 5>who Montreal knows very well, Q Sammy's Ain. And the
<v Speaker 5>crowd loved this obviously. The fans chanted the and sang
<v Speaker 5>along the Ola song and he Solo covered his ears
<v Speaker 5>and the fans sang the Sammy's Ain song in European
<v Speaker 5>style and Samy's ain't got the better at the beginning
<v Speaker 5>of the match. This match did go ten and a
<v Speaker 5>half minutes with Sammy's Ain beating Solo Soca, and the
<v Speaker 5>finish was Solo going for the Samoan spike, but Zay
<v Speaker 5>ducked it and rolled up Solo for the three count. Now,
<v Speaker 5>Solo did lose here, and he lost clean, but he's
<v Speaker 5>protected by the roll up because the roll up has
<v Speaker 5>typically been defined as kind of a not underhanded move,
<v Speaker 5>but kind of you're catching your opponent by surprise. That's
<v Speaker 5>how it's been branded. That's how you protect the person
<v Speaker 5>that loses with a roll up, because it's the implication
<v Speaker 5>is that you caught your opponent off guard. It wasn't
<v Speaker 5>like you knocked him out clean and you got to
<v Speaker 5>you know, you got the satisfying victory. So they protected
<v Speaker 5>Solo a little bit here, but it was it was
<v Speaker 5>nice to see Sammy's Ain. And there's some people Sammy's
<v Speaker 5>Ain's gotten a lot of attention online lately of they
<v Speaker 5>should turn him heel. He needs a character change. I
<v Speaker 5>don't think he does. I actually don't want to see
<v Speaker 5>Samy's Ain heel if they're going to tell the story
<v Speaker 5>of Sammy's ain the ultimate underdog from the underground, and
<v Speaker 5>they could really build this and maybe, as I've said,
<v Speaker 5>maybe have Kevin Owens at some point be able to
<v Speaker 5>physically come out and help celebrate with Sammy. I mean,
<v Speaker 5>ideally he'd help him ward off any numbers game issues
<v Speaker 5>with the Heel group if he's trying to win the
<v Speaker 5>World Championship or and just be the championship by the
<v Speaker 5>time WrestleMania rolls around. Ideally Kevin Owens would be able
<v Speaker 5>to be healed enough to maybe deliver a stunner or
<v Speaker 5>do something minor physical to help Sammy. But if that's
<v Speaker 5>not the if that's not possible, then I would imagine
<v Speaker 5>if Sammy is the guy that you're leaning towards for
<v Speaker 5>WrestleMania and the Royal Rum but which there are people
<v Speaker 5>that believe that you could have Kevin Owens at least
<v Speaker 5>come out and walk out and just help celebrate with
<v Speaker 5>Sammy at WrestleMania if Kevin's not ready. But again, I
<v Speaker 5>don't want Sammy to turn heel. There's a lot of
<v Speaker 5>people wanting this to happen. I don't I don't think
<v Speaker 5>there's a need for it. Yet Sammy has been hell
<v Speaker 5>in the past. We've seen it. It's been quite a

<v Speaker 5>Uso had, but that extra in tangible that Jay was missing,
<v Speaker 5>whatever that is, that that feeling of really being a champion.
<v Speaker 5>So we'll see if they they play that out all
<v Speaker 5>the way to roy Rumble and beyond. But if Roora
<v Speaker 5>Rumble was tomorrow, I would say Sammy's Ain is a
<v Speaker 5>favorite to win. So we then had hour two, Well
<v Speaker 5>we did have the Tag Team Champions, the Women's Tag
<v Speaker 5>Team Champions. We'll talk about more of this in a minute,
<v Speaker 5>but they were backstage in the hallway and Flair said
<v Speaker 5>she knew it was Bliss's birthday on Saturday, and corrected
<v Speaker 5>herself and said she didn't know and saw it on
<v Speaker 5>a company calendar, and Flair said she wanted to do
<v Speaker 5>something for Bliss's birthday. So yeah, we'll talk about that
<v Speaker 5>in a little bit. But on the Wide six video
<v Speaker 5>of video aired, which was nice to see. We had
<v Speaker 5>Uncle Howdie, Dexter Loomis, Joe Gacy, Eric Rowing, and Nikki
<v Speaker 5>Cross who all took turns and talking. Not a lot,
<v Speaker 5>but that was at least something, And they had footage
<v Speaker 5>air from Loomis and Gaysey retaining the tag titles out
<v Speaker 5>a TLC match in SummerSlam Rowan said, the Wyatt story's
<v Speaker 5>only just begun. Not encouraging. I mean, based on what
<v Speaker 5>I've seen, I mean, their story has been nonexistent. I mean,
<v Speaker 5>I believe you the story has only begun because you've
<v Speaker 5>told us nothing. The creative team has told us nothing,
<v Speaker 5>so I hope, like I agree, Yeah, I mean you've
<v Speaker 5>been just beginning the story for a year now, so
<v Speaker 5>please tell us more. I'm waiting. We all are for

<v Speaker 5>and it starts next week with the Street Profits versus DIY.
<v Speaker 5>So yes, yes, uh, Nick, there's nothing quite like the
<v Speaker 5>very tried and true method of calming people down by
<v Speaker 5>putting them in tables, ladders and chairs matches. I don't
<v Speaker 5>know how that didn't work. It boggles the mind. But
<v Speaker 5>Charlotte Flair and Alectxa then come out and the ring
<v Speaker 5>was with balloons in it and a cake and a
<v Speaker 5>gift box. By the way, when you saw the cake,
<v Speaker 5>you knew someone's face is going at it, and by God,
<v Speaker 5>somebody did. Flare and Bliss then fell at the same
<v Speaker 5>time as their championship celebration and said she could have
<v Speaker 5>made it all about herself. Charlotte did, but decided to
<v Speaker 5>share the spotlight. Bliss saw the cake that had said
<v Speaker 5>congratulations Charlotte Flair and big letters with Alexa and small
<v Speaker 5>letters and a PS Happy Birthday. Flair opened the gift
<v Speaker 5>and gave Bliss a new Lily doll with a We're
<v Speaker 5>Not Friend's T shirt, and Flair said that Lily also
<v Speaker 5>needed a tag team partner and introduced a Charlie doll,
<v Speaker 5>which I can't believe the fans chanted Charlie. It's kind
<v Speaker 5>of amazing. And then Flair gave Bliss permission to Hugger
<v Speaker 5>and yes, she said, you may hug the Queen, and
<v Speaker 5>a reluctant Bliss was about to, but they were interrupted
<v Speaker 5>by Chelsea Green. Now before we get to that, with
<v Speaker 5>Chelsea Green interrupting with Piper Niven and Alba Fire, this
<v Speaker 5>this was not good generally. Now, the saving grace from
<v Speaker 5>this for me was Flair giving Bliss permission to Hugger.
<v Speaker 5>It's kind of endearing, a little bit of gatistical fits
<v Speaker 5>Charlotte's personality, but also it is it's something that you
<v Speaker 5>believe that Alexa has wanted to do but has been
<v Speaker 5>hesitant because you know of who Charlotte Flair is. So
<v Speaker 5>that was like that line was fine, but the rest
<v Speaker 5>of it was just it was kind of hard to watch.
<v Speaker 5>And I've been a big advocate and believer that Charlotte
<v Speaker 5>has been getting more support from the fans by not
<v Speaker 5>talking and not being obnoxious on the mic, and this
<v Speaker 5>week was just it didn't help. I don't think Alexa Bliss.
<v Speaker 5>I mean, she's they keep calling her Alexi obviously that's
<v Speaker 5>her real name, and it's close enough to Alexa that
<v Speaker 5>they just, I guess, were like, well close enough Lexi Alexa.
<v Speaker 5>What's the difference? So fine? I mean they want to
<v Speaker 5>call her Alexi. I actually like Lexi better, but I
<v Speaker 5>mean they're calling her that anyway. I thought the segment though,
<v Speaker 5>was kind of a flop. You got a birthday cake,
<v Speaker 5>You've got Alexa hesitant to open a gift. No, No,
<v Speaker 5>I don't do that. I don't have to like it

<v Speaker 5>grade comedy skits. I didn't enjoy this at all. I
<v Speaker 5>don't think it helped either woman. And you could hear
<v Speaker 5>the crowd kind of grown at certain points and it
<v Speaker 5>was uncomfortable at certain points. It just wasn't working, and
<v Speaker 5>not everything's gonna work, So I mean, you know, I'm
<v Speaker 5>not gonna I'm not gonna sit here and go over
<v Speaker 5>it for twenty minutes. It just it was just a
<v Speaker 5>It was very much a Vince McMahon Asque comedy skit.
<v Speaker 5>It's almost as if they called up Vince and they
<v Speaker 5>were like, hey, hey, hey, buddy, how you doing. Listen.
<v Speaker 5>We want to throw you a bone. I know it's
<v Speaker 5>been a while you're dying to get back into this
<v Speaker 5>and start doing creative again. So what we're gonna do
<v Speaker 5>out of a just tribute to you, We're gonna give
<v Speaker 5>you one segment that you can script this week, just one, uh,
<v Speaker 5>and you know, no longer than five minutes, ten minutes
<v Speaker 5>or so, and we'll implement it into the show. And
<v Speaker 5>Vince is, you know, sitting there going all right, let's
<v Speaker 5>come up with some creative I think I've got it.
<v Speaker 5>And this is this is very much a Vince McMahon
<v Speaker 5>Vince McMahon Asque comedy creative skit. It felt very much

<v Speaker 5>or at least they don't have all the evidence. So
<v Speaker 5>I'm not saying anything he did was right. I'm just
<v Speaker 5>saying that I can separate the promoter from the man anyway.

<v Speaker 5>Chelsea Green did come out and she said she's a
<v Speaker 5>proud Canadian, but the fans supporting Flare and Bliss made
<v Speaker 5>her want to turn in her passport and she held
<v Speaker 5>on the Montreal Canadians hockey team, and Flair told Bliss
<v Speaker 5>she would also give her the gift of kicking Green's ass.
<v Speaker 5>And there we go. We get a match. We get
<v Speaker 5>a match here, and I have to say, you know, again,
<v Speaker 5>the crowd didn't care about the birthday gig at all,
<v Speaker 5>at all. I still don't like the Lily doll, but
<v Speaker 5>we're getting that, and we're getting more than just Lily Doll.
<v Speaker 5>We're getting Charlie. I mean, it's like Chucky and Chucky's
<v Speaker 5>bride here. I'm not sure, but yeah, so we get
<v Speaker 5>Charlotte Flair versus Chelsea Green, and the match when eight
<v Speaker 5>minutes and forty seconds with of course, somebody's face going
<v Speaker 5>into the cake because it has to just by rule
<v Speaker 5>of pro wrestling lore, it must happen. And Chelsea Green
<v Speaker 5>got her face in there and then got put in
<v Speaker 5>the figure eight and she taps souh. It was fine match.
<v Speaker 5>I mean, the match quality was what it was, nothing
<v Speaker 5>that anyone's going to remember. But the fans still cheered Charlotte.
<v Speaker 5>I mean, that's the thing I was listening to, is
<v Speaker 5>are the fans, you know, remembering, Oh wait a minute,
<v Speaker 5>what are we doing cheering Charlotte Flair. Why are we
<v Speaker 5>cheering Charlotte Flair? What are we doing? It didn't feel
<v Speaker 5>like that they were still very much behind Charlotte, which
<v Speaker 5>is nice to see. I really do hope that the
<v Speaker 5>fans continued to support her, because it's nice to see
<v Speaker 5>when she's, you know, getting a bit of a positive
<v Speaker 5>reaction because we're I'm so used to just every time
<v Speaker 5>we hear her music or see her, it's this innate
<v Speaker 5>response to boo her because she's always in the title,
<v Speaker 5>always in the title picture, cutting the same kinds of promos,
<v Speaker 5>coming out, wearing the queen outfits and calling herself, you know,
<v Speaker 5>bow down and all the rest of it that we're
<v Speaker 5>so used to for the last ten years. And this
<v Speaker 5>more subdued, still cocky, but in a endearing way. It
<v Speaker 5>might be a nice balance that she's found for the
<v Speaker 5>time being. It's not gonna last forever. We know this
<v Speaker 5>tag team with Alexa Bliss is going to eventually break up.
<v Speaker 5>I hope it doesn't result in anyone turning. They just
<v Speaker 5>stop being partners. I mean, they just lose the belts
<v Speaker 5>and then they both move on. I don't need a
<v Speaker 5>match with Alexa and Charlotte, no matter who's turning or
<v Speaker 5>who's not so all right. We then had Tiffany Stratton
<v Speaker 5>speak to Kathy Kelly backstage and she spoke about how
<v Speaker 5>she would continue to do what she's done for the
<v Speaker 5>last two hundred and sixteen days by keeping and defending
<v Speaker 5>her title. Jade showed up and said Stratton should be
<v Speaker 5>thankful that her foot ended up on the rope or
<v Speaker 5>she'd be champion, and Jade said the story would be
<v Speaker 5>different next time, Let's hope not. Stratton said the story
<v Speaker 5>would be different, but the outcome would be the same,
<v Speaker 5>and the Stratton left, so once again Jade with a
<v Speaker 5>whole bunch of nothing. She's a big fan of the
<v Speaker 5>nothing burger. I mean, she just gobbles that up. That's
<v Speaker 5>been her diet for the last two years. In We's
<v Speaker 5>just a bunch of nothing burger on the mic, and
<v Speaker 5>it's until they gotta let her loose. I understand they
<v Speaker 5>have investment in her. I absolutely see what they see.
<v Speaker 5>We all see what they see, but it's not manifesting yet.
<v Speaker 5>And at some point WWE is going to have to
<v Speaker 5>decide is this worth continuing the project of trying to
<v Speaker 5>bold her into what we know she can be or
<v Speaker 5>do we cut bait. I don't think we're there yet,
<v Speaker 5>but we're on the road to it. We're you know,
<v Speaker 5>if that's exit thirty, we're at exit. I don't know ten, ten, fifteen,
<v Speaker 5>and I don't know the length of Jade's contract. I'm
<v Speaker 5>sure that when it expires they're going to have much
<v Speaker 5>more of a serious conversation about where they want Jade
<v Speaker 5>to be. But the fact that she is two years
<v Speaker 5>into the company and she has yet to cut even
<v Speaker 5>any promo that's memorable is kind of scary. I mean,
<v Speaker 5>she's two years in now, tell her to get off
<v Speaker 5>Instagram and get down to the performance center, stop taking
<v Speaker 5>photos of yourself, and start doing things that can actually
<v Speaker 5>help your career. And I think that would really I mean,
<v Speaker 5>I don't know her backstage work, but based on the
<v Speaker 5>fact that they have not done anything to let her
<v Speaker 5>be more on the mic, be more of herself and
<v Speaker 5>not these limited one off QTT lines, tells you that
<v Speaker 5>either she's not putting in the work or that they
<v Speaker 5>don't trust her where she's at in her work to
<v Speaker 5>be live on air. Both are not good. There's no
<v Speaker 5>good option here. There's no third option. That you're like, well, no,
<v Speaker 5>there's a lot of progress backstage. If there was, they'd
<v Speaker 5>let her go on air and do that because they
<v Speaker 5>know they have to. I would hope know that the
<v Speaker 5>reason that she's getting booed or and just kind of
<v Speaker 5>dismissed by fans is that she hasn't connected with them
<v Speaker 5>because she hasn't told us who she is, no story.
<v Speaker 5>She's just Jade. She was carved out of stone, you know,
<v Speaker 5>ascended from heaven on a cloud like that's essentially that's
<v Speaker 5>kind of how we were supposed to feel. She's not relatable.
<v Speaker 5>That's a problem. But again, she looks like two million bucks,
<v Speaker 5>so we understand the appeal of Jade, but she has
<v Speaker 5>some massive shortcomings and those shortcomings have yet to be
<v Speaker 5>mitigated to the point where you could say, okay, she
<v Speaker 5>could be champion. If she was champion, it would be
<v Speaker 5>a disaster. It would be an unmitigated disaster if Jade
<v Speaker 5>Cargill was Women's Champion right now. If she was, I
<v Speaker 5>mean number one of the fans would have immediately turned
<v Speaker 5>on her immediately. They're you know, and the match quality
<v Speaker 5>on top of it, the match quality for the women's
<v Speaker 5>title matches would not have not exactly gone to a
<v Speaker 5>place that you want them to be. So anyway, they've
<v Speaker 5>got work to do, so does Jade most importantly, Well,
<v Speaker 5>let's continue on. We've got let's see John Cena walking
<v Speaker 5>backstage with Oh, Our Truth showed up, acted like they
<v Speaker 5>were mirror images, and Truth said that if Seena was back,
<v Speaker 5>then he's back.
<v Speaker 2>They hugged.
<v Speaker 5>Sina then played the part of Our Truth, saying that
<v Speaker 5>he was worried that Truth was how he's been acting
<v Speaker 5>weird for five months, and Sina said Truth changed his hair,
<v Speaker 5>was really mean to people and made the kids in
<v Speaker 5>Brussels kid in Brussels cry, and Sina said Truth claimed
<v Speaker 5>he wanted to ruin wrestling and then asked him if
<v Speaker 5>he thought that would really work. So essentially, yeah, I
<v Speaker 5>mean he was gaslighting Our Truth. Which it's fine. The
<v Speaker 5>Truth was confused. It was a good segment for both guys,
<v Speaker 5>you know, after their whole segment and Our Truth and
<v Speaker 5>John Sena having their matches and Our Truth returning. It's
<v Speaker 5>nice that they had. This might be their wrap up,
<v Speaker 5>their wrap up forever. I don't know if Our Truth
<v Speaker 5>in John Cena will have another interaction until John Cena retires.
<v Speaker 5>I mean, he's only got eleven days left, and it'd
<v Speaker 5>be hard to believe that one of those those dates
<v Speaker 5>would be something with our truth. So yeah, it was
<v Speaker 5>nice to see this wrap up. Good for Truth to
<v Speaker 5>kind of make him feel more like the old truth,
<v Speaker 5>the truth that we wanted. The reason we wanted him
<v Speaker 5>back is for that version of our truth. I wish
<v Speaker 5>he didn't cut his hair. It makes him look old,
<v Speaker 5>and I just it makes him feel like not the
<v Speaker 5>truth that we all love. But this was a nice
<v Speaker 5>segment to kind of bring back the dynamic between these
<v Speaker 5>two nice. It's just nice. So Cody Rhodes and John
<v Speaker 5>Cena versus Drew mcatyre and Logan Paul. The match went
<v Speaker 5>only eight minutes and thirty seconds with Cody and John
<v Speaker 5>beating Drew and Logan Paul but by d Q. And
<v Speaker 5>that's because McIntyre's set up for a Claymore but Cody
<v Speaker 5>cut him off with a superkick. Cody sent McIntyre to
<v Speaker 5>the ring to ringside, and then Paul low blowed John
<v Speaker 5>Cena that caused the referee to call for the bell
<v Speaker 5>and then after the match, seeing us sold the low
<v Speaker 5>blow and Cody roughed up mcatire ringside and then cleared
<v Speaker 5>the broadcast table. Mctyre hit Cody with the championship and
<v Speaker 5>then stared at the title belt while the ref tried
<v Speaker 5>to talk him down, and McIntyre gave Cody a Claymore
<v Speaker 5>that sent Cody crashing through the front of the broadcast
<v Speaker 5>table and that was it. So this was, I mean,
<v Speaker 5>again a non finish. It was about setting up McIntyre
<v Speaker 5>and Cody, which is long overdue. McIntyre has been in
<v Speaker 5>a place that he has no business being in, in
<v Speaker 5>the mid mid upper card. This dude belongs in the
<v Speaker 5>main event, and I think that's where we're gonna get him.
<v Speaker 5>Is there any chance mctyre wins the championship? Probably not?
<v Speaker 5>Probably not. I mean, Cody just want it back. He
<v Speaker 5>just went it back from John Cena. I doubt they're
<v Speaker 5>gonna do anything with it from here until he goes
<v Speaker 5>to Mania, and even then, who knows. This next run
<v Speaker 5>for Cody is kind of fascinating though, because this is
<v Speaker 5>a Cody's now a two time champion. How long do
<v Speaker 5>they give Cody the belt and what's the plan? I
<v Speaker 5>don't know if this was later in the year or
<v Speaker 5>early next year. Or Mania, and Drew was just coming
<v Speaker 5>up and finally facing Cody, I'd say, yeah, let's go.

<v Speaker 5>is very little chance that when someone just wins a
<v Speaker 5>championship on the ple before that, when they first defended
<v Speaker 5>on the next plee, that they're going to lose it,

<v Speaker 5>and Seth Rollins championship match. Now, the next match though
<v Speaker 5>was Seamus and Russev. This ended in a double count
<v Speaker 5>up at ten minutes because both men were counted out.
<v Speaker 5>So this this program is going to continue and I
<v Speaker 5>believe this Monday, Sammy Zan is taking on Russev. So
<v Speaker 5>that's probably going to be going another DQ finish because

<v Speaker 5>got the victory. We had the Intercontinental champion Dominic Mysterio

<v Speaker 5>two Impostors one legit, I'm not sure, but that's the

<v Speaker 5>They're both hammered each other on personal issues and Nicki
<v Speaker 5>actually someone held to her own. I still don't like
<v Speaker 5>Nicki in any facet of all at all. I hammered
<v Speaker 5>her pretty good on raw on the review show, but
<v Speaker 5>it was much more entertaining than her and Lyra. I
<v Speaker 5>have to say, I don't want to see Lyra and
<v Speaker 5>Lynch like until I say, and the fans too. I

<v Speaker 5>happy with cmpunk, so we'll see if that leads to anything.

<v Speaker 2>places to choose from to eat. Of course, they had
<v Speaker 2>beer and all the other festivities that they had at
<v Speaker 2>the ballpark at City Field, and in my opinion, Cityfield
<v Speaker 2>is top five one of the best ballparks in Major
<v Speaker 2>League Baseball. But with that being said, I just want
<v Speaker 2>to quickly recap the game itself, as the New York
<v Speaker 2>Mets absolutely destroy the San Francisco Giants were the score
<v Speaker 2>of twelve to six, and one of the key factors
<v Speaker 2>in this game was in the bottom of the seventh
<v Speaker 2>inning when the Mets went on a four run explosion
<v Speaker 2>and the lead jumped up to twelve to four, and
<v Speaker 2>then we saw none other than the first basement of
<v Speaker 2>the New York Mets missed Peter Alonzo as he is
<v Speaker 2>chasing history to be the all time leader in home
<v Speaker 2>runs for the Mets team as a franchise. Right now,
<v Speaker 2>he's just one more home run away to tie Darryl Strawberry,
<v Speaker 2>who currently right now is still in the lead as
<v Speaker 2>the top baseball player to hit more home runs for
<v Speaker 2>the New York Mets. Peter Alonzo is on his way

<v Speaker 2>but yet again j C. Jane retains the TNA Knockout Championship.
<v Speaker 2>We also had Mike Santana declaring.
<v Speaker 4>That he will one day be a TNA World Champion.
<v Speaker 2>Hopefully could it be happening at Boundful Glory in October
<v Speaker 2>when we have Trick Williams versus Mike Santana for the
<v Speaker 2>TNA World Championship.

<v Speaker 2>But now let's get to Joe Hendry and it seems
<v Speaker 2>like Joe Hendry is descending right now. He's not in

<v Speaker 2>to be in a new field against Mustapha ah Lee.

<v Speaker 2>And then all of a sudden, as Mustafa Ali mentions

<v Speaker 2>then said his name, the one, the only, Joe Hendry,

<v Speaker 4>Joe Hendry appeared, and then Joe.
<v Speaker 2>Hendri goes on to poke fund at Usta for Ali's
<v Speaker 2>secret service. One of the members, mister John Skuyler. I
<v Speaker 2>don't want to get into the details of that but
<v Speaker 2>it was pretty hilarious. But now the main focus right
<v Speaker 2>now is that we're gonna have a match between Joe
<v Speaker 2>Hendry and Mustafa Ali. Not for the previous episode of
<v Speaker 2>tene Perestling, but it'll be happening on the next episode
<v Speaker 2>of teena Pe Wrestling.
<v Speaker 4>Will Joe Hendry get the victory to kind of rebound.
<v Speaker 2>Them from these two consecutive losses, or will Mustaf Ali
<v Speaker 2>get the victory. Let's see what happens on the next
<v Speaker 2>episode of Tenae Wrestling. But most of portly, like I
<v Speaker 2>mentioned before, this is the transitional period. Joe Henry is
<v Speaker 2>in his contract year and most likely he is getting
<v Speaker 2>ready to make the move to ww My speculation is
<v Speaker 2>that he is going to be joining WWE next year
<v Speaker 2>when he makes another debut at the Royal Rumble, and
<v Speaker 2>then after that, I would say that he's going to

<v Speaker 2>made a very random appearance in a very odd, very
<v Speaker 2>peculiar place. As This took place in a backstage segment
<v Speaker 2>which kind of looked at like a kitchen setting. We
<v Speaker 2>see Ren Sinclair and Charles Dempsey of the No Quarter
<v Speaker 2>Cash Crew, which is a quick sidebar. Charles Dempsey is
<v Speaker 2>the son of Sir Lord William Regal, one of the
<v Speaker 2>greatest technical wrestlers of all time. Anyway, in this segment,
<v Speaker 2>Ren Sinclair is trying to cheer up Charles after previously
<v Speaker 2>seeing the former members of Miles Bourne and tavan heightst
<v Speaker 2>depart from the No Quarter Cash Crew, and Ren Sinclair
<v Speaker 2>is mentioning to Charles that now that both Myles and
<v Speaker 2>Tavian are no longer in the No Quarter Cash Crew,
<v Speaker 2>they could have some quality time. But Charles says he
<v Speaker 2>just wants to be sad. Let me be sad, and
<v Speaker 2>Ren says, Charles, you know it always cheers me up.
<v Speaker 2>And then she goes to the song and say his
<v Speaker 2>name man he appears, I.
<v Speaker 4>Believe it Joe Hendry.
<v Speaker 2>Then all of a sudden, out of the refrigerator we
<v Speaker 2>see Joe Hendry and he made an appearance as his
<v Speaker 2>music begins to play. Just kind of weird that we
<v Speaker 2>see Joe Hendry come out of a refrigerator. Anyway, Joe
<v Speaker 2>says it's great to be back on NXT, and he
<v Speaker 2>thanks Ren Sinclair for saying his name. Then Joe switches
<v Speaker 2>his attention to Charles and asks what's up with this
<v Speaker 2>sour puss. Charles says that Henri is the last thing
<v Speaker 2>that NXT needs right now, and he asks Joe, why
<v Speaker 2>are you even here? Joe says, I know why you
<v Speaker 2>are upset. You feel left out. So Joe goes in
<v Speaker 2>the refrigerator and pulls out the official Joe Hendry uniform,
<v Speaker 2>which of course is the blue silk shirt and white
<v Speaker 2>khaki pans. Meanwhile, as Joe Hendry is going to get
<v Speaker 2>this official uniform, we see the Wren Sinclair take off
<v Speaker 2>her jacket and she's wearing the same exact silk blue shirt,
<v Speaker 2>just a little bit of a different color tone, and
<v Speaker 2>she is supporting Joe Henry. Joe hands over the uniform
<v Speaker 2>to Charles, which, by the way, was freezing cold. Charles
<v Speaker 2>says he looks forward to wearing it, but never. Charles
<v Speaker 2>goes on to say that Joe is a deceased and infection.
<v Speaker 2>Wren says that Charles is not a doctor, he just
<v Speaker 2>watches a lot of grazes in otomy television. She goes
<v Speaker 2>on to say that the only thing that with cheruff
<v Speaker 2>Charles is wrestling, and Joe gives a proper solution to
<v Speaker 2>chup Charles in the form of a match next week

<v Speaker 5>hundred and forty million dollars pay roll. We're struggling for

<v Speaker 5>make that. The way we're playing, it's just it's horrible.

<v Speaker 5>defensive perspective, a pitching perspective. Our closer implodes every time

<v Speaker 5>generation has a sickness for nostalgia and they know that
<v Speaker 5>the industry knows that the world knows that. So those
<v Speaker 5>groups and shows that were successful during that time are
<v Speaker 5>capitalizing on it, and we are all just dumping our
<v Speaker 5>money into it because we have a a cancerous sickness
<v Speaker 5>for nostalgia and it's just it's it's unhealthy. So anyway,
