It is ask anything Wednesday also for everybody in the restaurant, and if you're here, remember you make the predictions about the playoff games this weekend and the people that are the closest will have a chance to win up to eight thousand dollars in prizes from Masbar. So from now until Saturday, when you come in here, you can predict the score of the games. They're cutting them up right now for all the games, and whoever gets the closest we'll be able to win cash, prizes and happiness. 00:01:36 Speaker 2: He said. There's three levels of prizes. 00:01:38 Speaker 3: Yeah, we're gonna have prizes during the semifinal games and then the final game. 00:01:42 Speaker 2: That's awesome. 00:01:43 Speaker 3: So I think we're doing two thousand on each semifinal game and then four thousand for the finals. So it's always fun and just being here. So we'll we'll talk more about it as the week goes on, but that starts today. So if for Wingsday, if you're here, you can start filling them out. Got some bowling starting today, Well there was one last night. One last night to today. Yeah, actually, uh, let's do that real quick. Do we have a draft Kings today to do? 00:02:04 Speaker 2: Shannon? If we do we'll do it right now. Let me look, I don't know, thanks for being on time, I mean I. 00:02:09 Speaker 4: Sent it to you. 00:02:10 Speaker 2: Well, but you shit happen. 00:02:12 Speaker 5: Don't you look at your emails? 00:02:14 Speaker 2: Well, why don't you look at your and you can see it just as easy as I can. All right, Yes, you do, we do, all right, So let's go ahead and do it. 00:02:21 Speaker 3: Draft Kings bet five win one hundred and fifty dollars if you get it right, and bonus bets. It's DraftKings dot Com promo code is KSR. Let's do our two bowl game picks for today. Western Kentucky the Hilltoppers. They they they have a bowl that the Boca Ratone Bowl, the Boca Ratone Bowl. They played James Madison. James Madison's a seven and a half point favorite. Of course, I have no idea who's playing for these teams in these games, because they may have transferred. 00:02:48 Speaker 2: But who do you got? 00:02:50 Speaker 1: Well, of course I'm gonna go with the with Western at least to cover at James Madison. They lost their coach and a half. The team went to Indiana's why. 00:02:55 Speaker 2: That was last year. This is a new team. 00:02:57 Speaker 1: So Western Kentucky they've played in this Boca ra Tom Bowl before, I'm going with the. 00:03:00 Speaker 6: Toppers way too many points. I'm going with the Toppers all so you can't give the hill Top for seven and a half. 00:03:05 Speaker 3: In Boker, I was gonna pick Western Kentucky, but Billy decided to take a vacation and not have a watch party at the bar. That signals to me no belief in the team. I will take James Madison because Billy went on vacation this week. Situation will play and exactly right. And then the Art of Sport Los Angeles Bowl. I don't know what that means. The Art of Sport Los Angeles Bowl. Cal UNLV call at one point this year hosted game Day, remember that early in the year. And then they finished six and six. So, uh, UNLV is a three point favorite. I'm taking UNLV. 00:03:39 Speaker 2: They're ranked. A lot of people don't realize UNLV is ranked. I'm taking you and OV. 00:03:43 Speaker 1: Yeah, wasn't there a UNLV played Boise State for that conference. 00:03:47 Speaker 2: We were gonna go to that game. We thought about going the end of the game. Yes, I'm going. 00:03:50 Speaker 6: UNLV also got two of their three losses for Boise they lost in the regular season. Two they had a good year, So I'll go with the rebels. 00:03:55 Speaker 3: All right, those are our picks tonight. One person rights Matt back to the moonlight. Yeah, the moon is so easy to get to. Why don't we go now? Because we got other things to do? It's good points. Why do we need to go now? What are we going to do there? 00:04:10 Speaker 2: Now? We've already been Yes, we've been back. 00:04:12 Speaker 3: We went like eleven times, but we realized it cost a lot of money and people died, so like, there came a point that the American government was like, we don't need to keep doing this. 00:04:22 Speaker 2: We've done it. 00:04:22 Speaker 3: We've got all the rocks, we've seen all the sites, we took pictures, and like people are dying on the on the takeoff platform, so let's not go there anymore. 00:04:32 Speaker 1: It costs billions of dollars to go for what benefit? They don't have gas or any any resources. We already got all the rocks, you know what what benefit is? Or just to go to the moon just to make a footprint, Yeah, for a billion dollars. 00:04:45 Speaker 3: So I think you know, people don't like when you waste money in government. What's a bigger waste than just sending three people to play golf on the moon bush and that seems like a complete way. 00:04:54 Speaker 2: So we did it. It's been done. Now we move forward. 00:04:56 Speaker 7: Yeah, I mean, I'm not one of these people that don't believe that we didn't land on the Moon. 00:05:00 Speaker 2: I can even believe that. 00:05:02 Speaker 3: You can't even believe that it didn't even passes Shannon's approvement on Mars. 00:05:06 Speaker 2: On to Mars. 00:05:07 Speaker 3: Well, now, I can make a case for Mars because, like I do, think something about humans is the human there's a natural human instinct to go to what's next, right, It's what led us to expand across the planet. 00:05:22 Speaker 2: I think there's an argument to go to. 00:05:23 Speaker 3: Mars of like, let's let's do it because we can like it's human, so I could see I don't know if that's like. 00:05:31 Speaker 2: Scientifically possible, but I could see why we would do it. 00:05:34 Speaker 6: He's working on it. 00:05:35 Speaker 3: We need those Mars right folk, Okay, then go do that. Elon, get off Twitter, go send us to Mars. You're good at that. I'm for that. 00:05:44 Speaker 1: I mean they've they've sent probes to Mars and found there's really no benefit that it can help us there either. 00:05:49 Speaker 3: I mean, remember I told you this when we were driving through Utah. So I'm reading this book. It's about there was a fire in Canada in twenty sixteen at a place you all may not know it exists. I know it exists called like Fort McHenry, and like they it's up in Alberta, Canada, and they produce like all of this kind of very. 00:06:08 Speaker 2: Very cheap oil stuff there. 00:06:10 Speaker 3: It's like one of the richest places in Canada because everybody there makes like two hundred thousand dollars mine in oil. It's like a blue collar place. Long story short. They had what was the deadliest fire in the history of North America there in twenty sixteen, and. 00:06:27 Speaker 2: This book is about the fire. But they talked about how there are vast parts of Canada, vast parts of Canada where they don't believe any human being Drew has ever even walked. I just find that fascinating, Like it's not that far away, but there are parts of the forest where they said no human being has ever been and they don't know that anyone will ever go. 00:06:52 Speaker 6: It's crazy to think that. My brain wonders that even did on our trip, Like you look up where drives through these mountains, these big red rocks. It's like I wonder if anyone's ever even there's probably parts of eastern Kentucky. 00:07:02 Speaker 2: There are probably parts. 00:07:03 Speaker 3: Of eastern Kentucky like deep in the mountains where there's a decent chance no one's ever gone there ever, because it was there was no reason to and it was deep in there. I think that, don't you think that's kind of fascinating. It could be on a piece of ground and go no human has ever stepped here before. 00:07:20 Speaker 1: That's why the stories like that fascinate me. Like if there's a heaven forbid a plane crash or something they can't find there. 00:07:26 Speaker 2: I mean that story about. 00:07:27 Speaker 3: With the Wichita State plane crash that we talked about on the trip, that blows my mind. Uh, there was a plane crash where they just left all the stuff there because they can't get it out, and it was just easier to leave it there. And you can walk up to it if you want, and it's essentially except for the bodies being removed, it's essentially in the same state it was in nineteen seventy three when it crashed. That's amazing to me. 00:07:56 Speaker 6: It's a big place and we haven't touched much of it. 00:07:58 Speaker 2: I agree with you. 00:07:59 Speaker 6: I think there's big parts of Kentucky deep in the mountains. 00:08:03 Speaker 2: Yeah. So, anyway, I don't know how we got off on that. Who's next to task? Anything? Winsday? Andy? Andy? Go ahead? 00:08:10 Speaker 8: Oh huh? 00:08:13 Speaker 2: How are you? Oh? 00:08:16 Speaker 4: You know, I don't know if you remember me or not. I called in and I was pretty critical. I said she was gonna feel sorry because he run off Cow. But after watching these games, I'm just gonna call in and apologize. 00:08:28 Speaker 3: See, well, that's actually very nice of you. So you so, I I vaguely remember this call. You said I ran off Cow and it was my fault and I would be sorry. 00:08:38 Speaker 2: So now you're willing. 00:08:39 Speaker 4: To say. 00:08:42 Speaker 3: I still don't think I ran off Cow, but now you agree that maybe a change was necessary. 00:08:49 Speaker 4: Well, I still think you run him off, but you know it's worked out because we can and one we beat Duke, we beat Gonzaka, and we beat Lot. Who could complaint? 00:08:58 Speaker 2: I totally agree with you. 00:08:59 Speaker 3: And don't you think I was talking with one of my friends about this last night. Let's say that Cal. Let's say we had this same record with Cal. Okay, let's just say for sake of argument, that Cow was here. We beat Duke. We beat Gonzaga, we beat Louisville, don't you think Andy, if that happened, our fan base still wouldn't be as excited because we'd be like, well, we're just gonna lose in. 00:09:25 Speaker 4: Mart Well, let's still be lingering. But before you let me go, I got one more thing. When my nephew there, I say, I'm pretty oatfeller, so I don't get on glitter and social media and all that. He showed me that you just put me on there, And to be honest, it kind of made me a little mad because I went up to the Senior Center and I wouldn't nobody to play corn hole with me or anything. So I was just gonna ask if you not do that again? If I called back. 00:09:55 Speaker 3: Yeah, I don't know what you're talking about, but I also can't tell if you're being real or not, so you may be. But what picture of you did got put up? Mario's tiktoks of the call? 00:10:07 Speaker 2: I think what he means, oh, oh, the video the video of the call, but we didn't need go ahead. 00:10:18 Speaker 9: I'm sorry, what s never mind? 00:10:20 Speaker 2: I appreciate the call. I'm not sure what but we didn't put his picture but we didn't put his picture up. 00:10:24 Speaker 3: It was just the call though, I think, is what he's referencing. Yeah, well, if you call the show, it's going to be on the airways. I mean, like, so if you call the show, you just need to understand that it's going to be out there. I can't have you call the show and then keep it private. It's going to be you know, by its very nature, and we don't have a picture of him. 00:10:39 Speaker 1: Your scenario that you said, you know what, if col was ten and one, I agree with you that fans. 00:10:44 Speaker 2: It wouldn't be the same we we we got the point. 00:10:46 Speaker 1: Where we were guarding our hearts because we kept getting heartbreak every March. 00:10:50 Speaker 3: If we were ten and one right now, A couple of things. It's interesting, it's an interesting thought exercise if we were ten and one, I do think there would be fans who were lying, it doesn't. 00:11:02 Speaker 2: Matter, we're gonna choke him Mark. Yeah. 00:11:04 Speaker 3: I also think the loss at Clemson would have bothered people a lot more. We would have been like, see, we lose to all these teams, like, I mean Clemson, let's be real about Clemson for a minute. Lost to South Carolina last night, lost it home to Memphis lost to Utah State. The only team they've played that's good that they've beaten is US. So now, I don't think it's that big a deal because we beat Duke in Gonzaga. But I think if Kal had been the coach, we would look at that loss drew differently, don't you. 00:11:35 Speaker 6: And that's the reason a lot of us wanted to change. I think I said as much. It didn't matter what he would have done in the regular season this year. If we had just run it back, would have completely been waiting until the tournament, could have outside of going undefeated, it would have been hard to. 00:11:48 Speaker 2: Get exactly right. 00:11:49 Speaker 6: It would have been we don't care, prove it to us in the tournament. 00:11:52 Speaker 3: And if we let's say he just did hear what he did at Arkansas where they lost to Illinois, they lost to Baylor, they beat Michigan. I think people if we had his record from Arkansas this year, people would be like, we stink. 00:12:06 Speaker 2: Yeah. 00:12:06 Speaker 6: Well, even in the games they've won, to their credit, they've had big comebacks, but they went down early to Miami, had to come back, and that one went down big di Michigan. It's a lot of the things that people were upset about here, even though they end up winning those games. 00:12:17 Speaker 3: But this has been pure joy with Pope because it's new. You know, there's something about being new that makes people excited to. 00:12:25 Speaker 1: And like, you know, like I said, we were kind of protecting ourselves a little bit from that hurt. I think that I think it's gone. I think people are like opening back up, like hey man, that sense of superiority is back. 00:12:35 Speaker 3: And let me tell you the one thing that I underestimated about our fan base that the Pope era made me realize. I underestimated that there's a fan generation that's one or two generations older than me, your generation, Ryan, and maybe one you know, six or eight years older than you. 00:12:56 Speaker 2: That really felt detached from the col. 00:13:01 Speaker 3: Ran the program, the one and done thing, which never really bothered me. I actually kind of embraced it. I do think it turned some people off and and and the whole This is the biggest night in UK basketball history, and they don't come for the front of the jersey. They come for me and all this drew. I think I under estimated how mad that made some people. And when we were winning, they were willing to overlook it. But the moment we started losing, that stuff came out, and I don't know that I ever realized. 00:13:32 Speaker 2: Just how mad that made people. 00:13:34 Speaker 6: I'm in the same boat, and I embraced it. Two heck, I was buying Devin booker Son's jerseys. 00:13:38 Speaker 2: You know. 00:13:39 Speaker 6: I enjoyed the one and done culture as much as anyone. But since it's been over, I've heard former players you never really heard say of that actually come out and mentioned the exact send, the quote of the biggest night in history. 00:13:50 Speaker 2: That really made for people. 00:13:52 Speaker 6: That were quiet about it before. They've referenced a lot more now that he's gone. So I think a lot of people were keeping it in too. 00:13:57 Speaker 3: I would go so far as to say, if you played at Kentucky and you didn't play in the NBA, when he got out there and said this is the biggest night in NBA history, it made him mad. 00:14:08 Speaker 2: I mean, those people got. 00:14:10 Speaker 3: Really mad, and a lot of them never really changed their minds about cal after that. We'll take a break A five nine two eight, twenty two eighty seven. We are here at KOs Bar Its Wings Day, Dollar Wings. This is Kentucky Sports Radio, Werterbag, It is Kentucky Sports Radio. In Louisville, this this store started advertising with us called Taylor Lee. 00:14:52 Speaker 2: Do you know about that Taylor Lee. No, it's like this store they did. 00:14:55 Speaker 3: They sell like they basically sell like luxury items for women, but like for men who don't know what to for Christmas, you can buy it for the women. They just started with us and like in the first day they said, just salesman, Wow. 00:15:07 Speaker 5: Nice it works. Advertising on the show works. 00:15:10 Speaker 2: It does. 00:15:10 Speaker 3: And uh and that's what you want to hear, all right, So somebody, it's ask anything Wednesday. One person writes, Matt, I hate to ask this because I love Ryan. I think you pick on him too much. But you all were talking about how he coughed and hacked the lung up in the Red State ad. I hear a cornbread himp ad where I think he does it again and maybe even worse. 00:15:31 Speaker 2: Oh, there's people already shaking their head. Let's hear it. Just people hear about it, all right, So I haven't heard this yet. 00:15:38 Speaker 6: I mean either, I'm amazing how many heads are. 00:15:39 Speaker 3: Notice like, there's a lot of heads. So Shannon, you have it. 00:15:43 Speaker 2: Yeah. 00:15:43 Speaker 1: So first of all, two seconds in you can hear breathing, and then about fifteen twenty seconds later you hear somebody go. 00:15:51 Speaker 3: So you heavy breathe, and then you hack along where everybody assumes it's me. 00:15:56 Speaker 2: Well, you're the only person here during it. It sounds like you're breathing. All right, let's go. Let's cuse first of all, you do heavy breath. 00:16:02 Speaker 3: I'm a heavy I've learned over the years that when we hear, when you're listening, you hear somebody go. 00:16:09 Speaker 2: That's always not always, but sometimes it's always you. All right, here we go. Cornbreadthip dot Com. Select it. 00:16:16 Speaker 3: It's America's number one organic him brand, and you can shop over the holidays, relax, get better sleep at night. 00:16:23 Speaker 2: I use it. I I don't wear the headsets. 00:16:43 Speaker 5: When you cut these spots out of. 00:16:45 Speaker 2: You show you don't, so that means you cough so loud. It goes through the heads That could be possible here is bread. Give it to you that. 00:16:58 Speaker 3: These people are paying good money and you're just every bodily function you can do. 00:17:04 Speaker 2: No, you're not gonna fart for court physical therapy. You just can't do that. 00:17:10 Speaker 6: I actually think that we're gonna get to a point where clients are gonna get upset if they don't have all that's true. They're gonna start requesting. 00:17:17 Speaker 2: Them Yes, uh, what person rights? 00:17:19 Speaker 3: Matt a guy called The Mark Pope Show and asks about our alternate uniforms. Kentucky wears one uniform that's not the denim because that's what we would all pick. 00:17:29 Speaker 2: Yes, what uniform would you want? 00:17:32 Speaker 3: I like the uniform that we wore in twenty fifteen that we've stopped wearing, just that white and blue. It's very basic, but I think it looks really really good, and we don't wear it anymore. Go look at the pictures of the twenty fourteen twenty fifteen home uniforms. I think those look awesome. I'd like to see those brought back. I think those should be our regular uniforms, to be honest. And then for a special game Icicles. Give me the icicles from ninety five. I want the Icicles. 00:18:04 Speaker 6: Both of my immediate answers, so I got to think about more. I love the Icicles. I had the Tony Delk Icicle jersey with the shorts to match. I wore it everywhere. And then the ones you're talking about the Harrisons and that team more. It was just it's really crisp. 00:18:18 Speaker 2: They're very crisp. 00:18:18 Speaker 6: Clean font was just count It's that subtle Kentucky font wasn't a lot to it, but it looks great. 00:18:23 Speaker 3: And it was also a great two year run, right fourteen fifteen. Kind of celebrate that where this is the ten year anniversary as it is of the fourteen and fifteen team. Be nice to pull it out for a game, because I think those are maybe our best looking uniforms we've had. We also wore something like that in like O three with bogans and Fitch. 00:18:40 Speaker 2: They had that kind of uniform too. I'd like that. What about you? I love that. 00:18:45 Speaker 1: Look you guys have taken the best ones. I'm not against wearing black once one. We never win though, when we wear black. We know in neither sport. When we wear black, we never win. The one thing I don't like is that the silver. 00:18:58 Speaker 6: I didn't love the silver against. They only wore on one time twenty twelve. They wore him against. Think really, I didn't remember that. I think there was a Gilchrist version that was for sale. I kind of liked the silver for one thing. 00:19:12 Speaker 2: But the icicles. Do you think we'll ever have an icicle game? 00:19:15 Speaker 5: The fact that Mark Pope is a coach, we will have an ica. 00:19:17 Speaker 3: I'm gonna tell you when when that guy comes here and he sells retro stuff on the thing, the icicle stuff goes immediately like the icicle stuff. I don't know how he gets the stuff, but when he does, people love the icicle. 00:19:30 Speaker 6: Do you want to bring back the Billy Gillespie years where these shorts actually touched the ground? 00:19:34 Speaker 3: Dude, I watched I watched the video of Jody Meeks playing. I can't believe how long the shorts were Jody Meets was wearing them to his calves. 00:19:47 Speaker 2: They were in the cave, they were in the cab like they were pants. 00:19:51 Speaker 3: Even the John Wall team is like that. If you go look the John Wall DeMarcus Cousins team. 00:19:57 Speaker 6: There was a carryover to the Cali. I remember they did a big unveiling of the new uniforms of Billy. They had mannequins as a big show, and the shorts were so long and they went a little bit longer into the Calori. 00:20:07 Speaker 2: It was unbelieving. 00:20:08 Speaker 3: And then I could switches with like even the Jeworts team, and then Anthony Davis kind. 00:20:12 Speaker 2: Of pulls them up a little bit and it's different. Who's up next? Ryan? Go ahead? Ryan? 00:20:19 Speaker 7: Hey man, Hey guys, this is Brian actually, and I'm the first time caller, a long time listener. 00:20:25 Speaker 2: Who what's up? 00:20:27 Speaker 7: And actually my wife and I really turn into you guys through the COVID years, So basically every day we were. 00:20:33 Speaker 2: Renovating jump Yeah, well thank you. 00:20:36 Speaker 7: Uh yeah, we tuned into KSR. So anyway, and I'm really surprised first time Donald and I got through it really surprising me. I was gonna do twice and I was gonna let it go. But that didn't it. So anyway, Hey, first thing, a movie, a Christmas movie that is underrated. You got any of you guys like the movie Screamed. 00:20:59 Speaker 2: I love Screaming. 00:21:00 Speaker 3: Yeah, it's a little bit of a different generation, but I love Bill Murray and Scrooged is very good. 00:21:04 Speaker 7: That's a good call, all right, And I got just a couple of random points. I'm kind of I'm Bryan made over, so just so you know who you're talking to here. And so the second point i'd like to make. What if we paid suits a million dollars for each win that he got each year? 00:21:22 Speaker 3: I mean in theory, and I appreciate the call, but why would he do that? Okay, so he already makes nine million dollars, He's already agreed to a contract of nine million dollars. Why would he agree to only be paid a million dollars a win? Like he would have to have his best season of all time just to get the money he's already been promised. So you know, I mean, I know I say this a lot, but contracts are all about leverage, and Kentucky didn't have the leverage the last time, and thus we end up with the contract. 00:21:55 Speaker 2: That we had. I wouldn't do that. 00:21:58 Speaker 1: I wouldn't give up that money that's already been promised to me and written in my contract. 00:22:02 Speaker 2: You already said you wouldn't give up a million dollars for an il Yeah, that's a lot. I got bills to pay. But it's interesting, is I do you say that though? 00:22:12 Speaker 3: And if I said to you Ryan, I need you to take a ten percent pay cut for the good of the show. 00:22:18 Speaker 2: I think you would do it. I would do it. So, I mean, isn't that what he's doing. 00:22:22 Speaker 3: If he did that, he'd take like a ten percent pay cut for the good of the program. 00:22:25 Speaker 5: Well, that was my argument yesterday. 00:22:27 Speaker 1: I think he would do it because he's investing in himself and in the program, try to get better players win more games. I'll get that back in my next contract. 00:22:35 Speaker 6: It has become a legal way for coaches to help their rosters on their own. I'm sure there's been times in the past where guys have give them money out of their own pocket illegally. Now they've given you an actual avenue where if you were really wanting to help out your team. 00:22:48 Speaker 3: And I also think it means and I don't think he would do it again, because I think he learned his lesson. 00:22:52 Speaker 2: But he can't say pony up again because. 00:22:55 Speaker 3: People will go, well why don't you Yeah, good point, because you used to have the excuse of it banned, and now you don't have that excuse anymore. 00:23:02 Speaker 2: Drew like, now it is what it is. 00:23:04 Speaker 6: Maybe you could put out a dollar match program. 00:23:07 Speaker 3: No, I mean somebody did that, one of those coaches. I can't remember who it was. There was a coach who just did a dollar match program up to a million bucks. 00:23:16 Speaker 2: Really so. 00:23:18 Speaker 3: Not a bad idea, not the worst idea in the world. I you know, probably do something for goodwill. Honestly, We'll take a break and be right back. SKSR working back. It is Kentucky Sports Radio. If I'm nine, two, eight, twenty two, eighty seven wings day here dollar wings all day. The rain stinks, but otherwise things are good. Supreme Court has just announced that they're going to take up the TikTok case. You know, TikTok right now either has to sell or is banned in America. On January nineteenth, the Supreme Court's gonna hear their their legal claim. And somebody writes Matt, do you think TikTok wins in the Supreme Court. I don't know, Like I need to see what their argument is, because we ban businesses all the time in America that are owned by foreign countries that like we you know, we Russian businesses right now and North Korean businesses and we can uh, So I don't know what their argument is exactly, so I would need to read it. They say they have a first Amendment argument, but I don't know what that argument is. If it's a Chinese company, Chinese company, I don't know that they have First Amendment rights in America, So I need to see their argument. 00:24:37 Speaker 2: But it's it's it's interesting. 00:24:40 Speaker 3: It was bipartisan to ban it or make them sale sale, make them play o. It was a bypartist both parties were for it, and then it seems like people have some people have changed, So I don't know. I mean, my view is I like TikTok, but the reality is we are giving all all of our personal information to China on a platter. 00:25:07 Speaker 2: And that can't be good. 00:25:09 Speaker 3: So I don't really I have mixed emotions. I like TikTok, I like the videos we now have eighteen thousand followers. I don't want to just lose it. But I also don't know if maybe our biggest adversary of the twenty first century coming up needs to have all of our personal information. So I don't really know, Drew. I have mixed emotions. 00:25:28 Speaker 6: First of all, good job, Mario, it's good following. 00:25:30 Speaker 2: But yeah, we have Mario's built quite a following. 00:25:32 Speaker 6: So much information. I mean even I don't know what you do with it, but just the facial recognition stuff, those filters, you're just giving them all that. I don't know how that works. That's above my brain. But they have everything they need to know about you on TikTok. If you buy something on there, you're agreeing to they got the TikTok. 00:25:48 Speaker 2: It does worry me. 00:25:50 Speaker 3: I mean, you know, I mean, China's gonna be battling for world supremacy with America for the next seventy five years, and if we if they know something about every citizen in this country that has TikTok's. I mean, when the government said we you cannot use a government phone, you cannot have it on TikTok, that should worry people a little. 00:26:15 Speaker 2: Bit, right. 00:26:17 Speaker 5: I didn't know that but just hearing you say that worries me a little bit. 00:26:21 Speaker 6: So I don't know, think about the history books just centuries from now. I was like, they lost a chat. They were watching videos of what. Yeah, they watching people fall down, and we always live in the moment. But let's wait. 00:26:33 Speaker 3: Think about a history book in seventy five years or it'll be like a history brain insert when it says, why did America lose its supremacy in the world to China because they did dances on TikTok and ended up giving them Like that would be kind of a sad way to see the American dynasty fall, which. 00:26:52 Speaker 6: They couldn't stop turning their faces into puppies taking facial expressions. 00:26:57 Speaker 3: So yeah, so I don't know. I think it's actually a very complicated issue. Who's next, David, David, go ahead, David. 00:27:07 Speaker 8: Hey, Merry Christmas. 00:27:09 Speaker 3: Oh my goodness, David, why did you scream? That was very loud too? 00:27:15 Speaker 9: Sorry? 00:27:16 Speaker 3: Yeah, I said that was a little loud, okay, because you hurt our ears. But I Marry Christmas to you as well. 00:27:23 Speaker 7: Thank you. 00:27:24 Speaker 8: I want to say, first of all, happy anniversary to Patrick Sparks. Today is the point anniversary of him ship not free throws? 00:27:31 Speaker 2: Know that? 00:27:32 Speaker 3: Did you know this is the twentieth anniversary of the Sparks free throw? 00:27:35 Speaker 2: I didn't either. 00:27:35 Speaker 1: It was so good to see him back at up. You know he's been playing overseas. He doesn't get to come. He was there, did the why got to meet with some fans? 00:27:41 Speaker 2: He's in the video? 00:27:42 Speaker 3: Am I correct that he was banned kicked off his Russian team for wearing flip flops? 00:27:47 Speaker 2: Was that him? I don't know. I love that story if it's true. 00:27:52 Speaker 3: I think this could be wrong, but I think he played for a Russian basketball team. 00:28:00 Speaker 2: This up and I think he got. 00:28:01 Speaker 3: Kicked off because he was he wore flip flops on a plane. 00:28:05 Speaker 2: Really that may be. 00:28:07 Speaker 3: If that's not true, then that's the biggest made up story in my mind because I've accepted it. 00:28:12 Speaker 2: As true for ten years. But I don't know. 00:28:15 Speaker 8: But go ahead, I have a question to ask anything today. Okay, if this Kentucky basketball team was a movie, what would it be? 00:28:29 Speaker 3: Well, I mean, we got to know what the ending is, right like, before we can know what the movie for this basketball team would be, we need to see do we win a national championship? Do we lose in the first round. Like they'd be different movies based on the ending, right, But. 00:28:47 Speaker 8: So far it looks like I can't think of one right now. 00:28:52 Speaker 3: Okay, well you know what, David, I'll be thinking about it as the season goes on. 00:28:56 Speaker 8: Okay, Okay, Mary, Okay, Mary, Merry. 00:29:00 Speaker 2: Christmas to you two day. 00:29:04 Speaker 1: It does have the makings of a Disney movie if they end up winning a national title. 00:29:09 Speaker 2: Without question, Pope comes back. 00:29:11 Speaker 3: You bring in these you know, island to misfit toys and put them all together. 00:29:15 Speaker 2: It would definitely be one. 00:29:16 Speaker 6: Disney or a hall Mark movie for the. 00:29:21 Speaker 2: You gotta stop that right about that. 00:29:23 Speaker 6: You know, I'm not I'm not saying you're wrong. Google doesn't have a lot to back you up. I'm not really fond than anything about it. 00:29:29 Speaker 2: But Google doesn't have everything. 00:29:35 Speaker 3: And there's a lot of stuff that's not on Google. Right about the moon lay and. 00:29:39 Speaker 1: All the stuff in your mind that you know that direction to walk to the pickle fast? 00:29:43 Speaker 2: Was that not right? 00:29:43 Speaker 6: I'm still efforting. 00:29:45 Speaker 3: If it's not right, then that would be an amazing made up in my head if it came from nowhere. 00:29:50 Speaker 6: Now he has played in Russia. 00:29:51 Speaker 2: Okay, so he's played in Russia. 00:29:53 Speaker 6: Okay, now I haven't seen. 00:29:56 Speaker 2: So. 00:29:56 Speaker 3: First of all, I think there's some truth to it, because why would I just pick out the he's played. 00:30:00 Speaker 2: In Russia of all countries. 00:30:01 Speaker 1: Yeah, and I'm assume he owns flip flopped and has been That's three. 00:30:08 Speaker 3: We just have to put them all together. Who's next ship, Matthew, Matthew, go ahead, Matthew. 00:30:16 Speaker 9: I have a question for asking if they anything Wednesday? With Luigi being charged with terrorism, does that mean the government cares more about rich people getting murdered than poor people getting murdered because terrorism? 00:30:33 Speaker 2: Who charging ran? 00:30:34 Speaker 3: I saw him charged with with murder, but I did not see a charge of terrorism. 00:30:40 Speaker 2: Was it was? It was that true? 00:30:43 Speaker 9: Yes, there were eleven counts. 00:30:45 Speaker 2: Okay, I'm not saying he should be charged with terrorism. 00:30:48 Speaker 3: That might actually get get get to get you know, taken off. But the reasoning would be if you kill some If I kill you because you were sleeping with my wife, that's a personal thing. But if I kill you for a political cause, there are some definitions in some of these statutes of terrorism that might include that. Now, my guess is that will end up getting taken out. I don't know that, But that's the difference. It's not rich or poor, it's what was the reason why you killed them, And if you're killing them for a political cause, that's different. So like think about on nine to eleven. That was for a political cause. That's why we use the phrase terrorism, whereas like a personal I just don't like you. 00:31:39 Speaker 2: That's different. 00:31:41 Speaker 9: But if he had medical history with them, would that not. 00:31:44 Speaker 2: Be he is? 00:31:46 Speaker 3: But if he has a manifesto, which I think he did, that said I'm doing this because of these companies and what they do to us and blah blah blah, that might be how the prosecutors would switch it over. Again, I don't know, but that's just my guess. Okay, thank you, thank you, And again I don't know enough about it to know. 00:32:07 Speaker 2: That's just a guess. 00:32:07 Speaker 5: Right, was he finally extradited to New York? 00:32:11 Speaker 3: He got charged, didn't you? I saw you got charged in New York, So I would assume that mean he was extradited. But you know, that's another example what we were talking about. Everyone has completely moved on from Luigi already, like it was the most it was the biggest story in the world, and now we haven't said another word about it, and this is the first I've heard of it in a week. 00:32:25 Speaker 6: Personally, I've moved on to Patrick Sparks getting kicked off playing flip Flop. So I'm going to exhaust all efforts this afternoon to find if there's any truth in that. 00:32:33 Speaker 3: Somebody, if that happened someone listening to this show. 00:32:37 Speaker 2: Nobody knows the answer. 00:32:38 Speaker 3: Were they like slides or I don't know the form of flip flop. I don't know if it was a I don't know if it had the thing or if it was I don't know if it was a thong or not, or if it was Belenberg guy. 00:32:49 Speaker 2: So I don't know. Probably no thong for Bulenberg guy. 00:32:52 Speaker 3: Yeah, bourbon lovers, here's your chance to make this holiday season unforgettable. We'll take a break, be right back. We're here at Kosbar and Grills, Ka Tucky Sports Radio. Welcome back, Tekey Sports Radio. A f I'm nine two eight twenty two eighty seven. Ask anything Wednesday, A couple questions coming in. We still haven't found I must be wrong about the flop. I had Russia, I had Patrick Sparks, but I can't find anything about a flip flop. Could have been a crock, could have been a crock. But I still and then nobody seems to have agreed. 00:33:58 Speaker 1: I do have a question for you and ask anything Wednesday. Yeah, whatever happened to that town in South Carolina? The silicon silicon was hidden in the mountains about North Carolina, North Carolina. 00:34:08 Speaker 2: Still still an issue, still an issue. 00:34:11 Speaker 3: They they're I guess they that people the short answers. People don't know. They they think that you're talking about the floods. They think that it survived the floods. But they still won't know until they mine the product. And I don't know enough about the details, but it's they feel better about it than they did before. 00:34:32 Speaker 2: Where all the nat world silicon comes from. 00:34:34 Speaker 5: Yes, yeah, you kind of scared me when you talked about the story. 00:34:37 Speaker 3: There was been a few stories about it even since then. You can you can read some of them. Okay, along those lines, since we're doing education. One person, rightes Matt. How does the Supreme Court decide which case is to hear? That's a good question if you so, like if you were if somebody were to appeal to the Supreme Court. For instance, our referee friend appealed to the Supreme Court. I believe, friend, acquaintance. The Supreme Court meets all nine people if four of them, so they don't need a majority, They just need four. If four of them vote to hear it, then they hear it. So it takes four of the nine to vote to hear it. So when you see the Supreme Court takes the case, it's because four of the nine. 00:35:25 Speaker 2: But they have to vote on every single case that gets. 00:35:28 Speaker 3: They do and they turn down ninety five percent of them, so they tend to only pick cases. I think their standards of are national importance or if the law is different in different parts of the country, and they're trying to unify it, so the law is the same everywhere, so they only end up taking like fifty cases a year. 00:35:49 Speaker 6: Four of none seems odd. 00:35:50 Speaker 3: Well, the reason is used to I think it used to be five of nine, and then people would read into the fact that a majority took it to feel like they already knew what the result would be, so they took it down to four of nine. They want the minority to be able to still have their cases hurt. 00:36:07 Speaker 2: Interesting. I think that's the theories. Who's up next? Elijah, Elijah, go ahead a lie. 00:36:13 Speaker 9: I got two quick questions after watching the SEC just destroy everybody so far this year. Yeah, what do you put are over under on SEC losses? 00:36:23 Speaker 2: Great questions? 00:36:24 Speaker 9: And who gives Mark his first loss in referee? 00:36:29 Speaker 2: Great questions on both those. 00:36:31 Speaker 3: Let's start with So the SEC went eight to o last night, including a win Florida beats North Carolina and then South Carolina wins against Clemson. 00:36:41 Speaker 2: The SEC now has. 00:36:44 Speaker 3: More ranked non conference wins than any conference in. 00:36:49 Speaker 2: History by six. Wow. So it's an unbelievable amount. 00:36:54 Speaker 3: In the last bracketology, thirteen SEC teams projected into the NCAA tournament, which would be a record by two over anyone else, so over under Kentucky SEC losses. If I were to set it at six, what are you. 00:37:15 Speaker 2: Putting it at? It's funny you say that. 00:37:17 Speaker 6: This morning, I was looking at ken Palm where he projects the score of every game on the schedule that's still ahead. He has them with six losses. I was sitting there thinking, don't say six. 00:37:25 Speaker 2: Don't they say six. 00:37:26 Speaker 6: I'll go under six, so you would put five. I found it interesting looking because he has the exact score for every game. Arkansas is Kentucky's third biggest blowout. I guess thirty easiest game. He has a Cordy metrics on there. No, that's not perfect, but it's interesting to see that. 00:37:43 Speaker 3: Six is to me, six is the number because I think they're gonna go twelve and six. 00:37:49 Speaker 2: I think that's gonna be their record. 00:37:51 Speaker 3: If you make me pick one, I'll take under because I want to pick be positive. 00:37:56 Speaker 2: But I think they go twelve and six. 00:37:58 Speaker 3: I think every road game is gonna be hard, and I think they probably drop one. 00:38:05 Speaker 2: Home game this year at home in the SEC. 00:38:09 Speaker 3: And if I had to guess, I'm gonna say Tennessee because I think Tennessee is gonna be a very hard matchup for us because they are so physical and they play the style that we don't like. So I would say, if you ask me who my first home loss would be, I'd say Tennessee, and I would put it at twelve and six. 00:38:26 Speaker 2: Well, I agree with that. 00:38:27 Speaker 1: You know Western Kentucky played that way and we had problems with Western Kentucky. Tennessee's gonna play that way, and. 00:38:32 Speaker 2: Some like Louisville played that way. 00:38:33 Speaker 5: Louisville played that way. Absolutely, I would probably go under. 00:38:37 Speaker 1: But like you said, this is a year where you know, South Carolina just beat Clemson, a Clypson team to beat us, but Missouri just beat Kansas. These are the bottom tier SEC teams that are making having these major wins. There's gonna be some loss. So let me quickly go through here. Let's do one winter loss. Just say win or loss. Shannon, you're in too. Florida undefeat. We open the SEC Florida undefeat at home against Kentucky at home against Florida. 00:39:03 Speaker 6: Before you made this game, I was gonna say, we gotta be careful. First one on the schedule Florida is killing teams right now. I'm gonna say we win that one. But Florida is very good and they're not talked about enough. 00:39:13 Speaker 2: I'm gonna say win, loss, loss. You're gonna lose the. 00:39:18 Speaker 3: First early am alright, Kentucky at Georgia. 00:39:24 Speaker 2: When when win at Mississippi State? When when. 00:39:29 Speaker 3: Surprising loss for me? I'll go lost, eight thirty at night, Saturday night. They're gonna be going crazy. I'll take that as our first loss. A and M at home? When when win Alabama at home loss, I'm gonna say win. 00:39:46 Speaker 2: I think we get that one. I'll say win. I want to say loss. 00:39:50 Speaker 3: So that's your first home loss, all right, at Vandy loss? When when when at Tennessee loss? 00:39:58 Speaker 2: Arkansas home and win at Old. 00:40:02 Speaker 5: Miss that's the loss I'm saying. 00:40:05 Speaker 3: I'm going lost. That's a Tuesday night at in Oxford. They rank seventeenth. I'm saying loss. I'll go win. 00:40:13 Speaker 6: I can't have them losing both Mississippi games. 00:40:16 Speaker 3: South Carolina home win, Tennessee home loss. I'm gonna take a loss. That's my fourth loss. You're gonna go win at Texas loss win, I'm gonna say win. I'm gonna say, we go up there and we show Austin a thing or two them, we get a win. 00:40:36 Speaker 2: What do you think I'll go win? 00:40:40 Speaker 6: Gosh, the schedule so hard though, I yeah, none of these you feel great? 00:40:43 Speaker 2: Bandy at home? 00:40:44 Speaker 3: When at Alabama, I forgot about that one. 00:40:48 Speaker 5: That's my that's my sixth loss. 00:40:50 Speaker 3: I'm gonna say loss at Oklahoma. That's gonna be my sixth loss is at Oklahoma. We're gonna go and lose back to back there. 00:40:57 Speaker 2: What do you got I'll say win? All right? 00:41:01 Speaker 3: Then Auburn at home win, We're winning that. That's gonna be a wild atmosphere. That's gonna be the last Saturday home game of the year. This place is gonna be rocking. There's gonna be naked people, like it's gonna be. There's gonna be I'm not saying too, They're just gonna be naked people. 00:41:20 Speaker 2: They're gonna be excited. I'm gonna go. I'm gonna go win. That's the last, last whole day. 00:41:24 Speaker 6: It's not Senior Day. Senior Day is the next game, but last Saturday home. You talk me into a win. But I hope the naked people sit down. 00:41:30 Speaker 2: They don't even good point. 00:41:33 Speaker 3: The LSU at home on Senior n when at Missouri last game of the year, I'm gonna say win, win, So that's my six. 00:41:42 Speaker 5: I have them with seven losses. 00:41:43 Speaker 2: You now have them with seven. 00:41:44 Speaker 6: I would admit I picked two wins at Texas and at Ole miss that I might have been lying a little bit internally. 00:41:50 Speaker 2: So you then, how many losses do you have? You picked five losses? 00:41:53 Speaker 6: Yeah, I have five, But I mean that is all. Those road games are gonna be very difficult to be a battle. 00:41:59 Speaker 3: That's a hard, hard, hard hard schedule. Clayton and crem though, is easy. It makes your Christmas shopping easies.
