Speaker 1: You are listening to the Dan Patrick Show on Fox Sports Radio.

00:00:04
Speaker 2: It was on this date in two thousand and five the Patriots beat the Eagles.

00:00:10
Speaker 3: Dion Branch was named MVP.

00:00:12
Speaker 2: Boy, remember that, and then he went to Seattle after that after he became the MVP. Also twenty eleven, the Packers beat the Steelers. That was Aaron Rodgers loan Super Bowl when he was the MVP. Yes, Marvin, I thought that was a coronation with Aaron Rodgers. Yes, for sure, he is young.

00:00:28
Speaker 3: Yeah.

00:00:28
Speaker 2: Oh, by the way, there have been three coaches to win the Super Bowl before turning forty. Mike McDonald's trying to be the fourth. Who are those coaches, Marvin, Mike Tomlin, Yes, Paul Sean McVay yes, and.

00:00:47
Speaker 3: Back row, back row, I had McVeigh.

00:00:50
Speaker 2: Okay, we forget about this guy still in the maybe coming back to the NFL one day dot dot dot John Gruden thirty nine.

00:01:11
Speaker 3: That guy that's not really his Super Bowl though.

00:01:14
Speaker 2: Wow wow, but you say it to his face, I might, Yeah, this guy. Melissa Stark and Kaylee Hartungue, they will be on the sidelines for a Super Bowl sixty working for ENDBC.

00:01:34
Speaker 3: Of course.

00:01:35
Speaker 2: Kaylee is working her first Super Bowl. This will be Melissa's second. She last worked the Super Bowl. That was twenty three years ago when the Bucks played the Raiders in San Diego. We got a chance to sit down with him a couple of days ago, and I asked them about trying to treat the Super Bowl like it's just another game, starting with the question to Melissa, because I.

00:01:58
Speaker 4: Think we treat every game at the same level. I don't care if it's a preseason game or it's.

00:02:02
Speaker 5: The Super Bowl. We attack it and research and do all of the work as if it is.

00:02:10
Speaker 4: But you know, I mean already I think it's fun. I mean the Kalli's here, you know, bringing in another sideline reporter, it is. It feels bigger. It is bigger, it's the biggest stage. But it's your first so I'll have you, and.

00:02:21
Speaker 5: It is it is.

00:02:22
Speaker 6: So I think what's fun about this for us is to share this responsibility of covering the sidelines and getting to focus on our respective teams.

00:02:29
Speaker 5: Melissa will be on the Patriots sideline. I'll be with the Seahawks.

00:02:33
Speaker 6: But for as much as we both I think enjoy the preparation process for a regular season game. It's a different type of challenge to focus on one but also have the awareness of the other that you need. So I think my fear in a lot of games is that no matter how much you prepare, sometimes you just can't be at the right place at the right time. You know, quarterback gets hurt, he's exiting the field on the opposite sideline from where you are. You're running trying to get to where you need to be. In this case thing for us, it sort of takes some of that pressure off.

00:03:02
Speaker 5: We've got it covered where we can.

00:03:04
Speaker 2: How do you decide? Was there a coin toss of who gets the Patriots?

00:03:07
Speaker 5: Kaylie, do you want to answer?

00:03:11
Speaker 3: Well?

00:03:12
Speaker 6: Melissa, being that this is her Sunday Night football crew, that.

00:03:14
Speaker 5: Is so wonderfully allowing me she got first. She was speaking about myself and the third person. So yeah, but we were in constant conversation about it.

00:03:24
Speaker 6: I think that was one of the most fun things for me about Championship Sunday and watching those games was that Melissa and I were texting it throughout.

00:03:31
Speaker 5: She kept saying, what are you thinking? Where are you taking? Because I want to know where I'm going to land.

00:03:36
Speaker 4: So it's funny because you know, I thought it was It really wasn't, you know, a definite decision one way or the other. But I just felt like I had more games with the Patriots this year, sideline observations coming into play, and then stories and you think of you know, Drake May and his wife and Michael and the storylines there, and so it just it was lightly outweighed the Seahawks, and for.

00:04:02
Speaker 6: Me, I had two regular season Seahawks games, so it worked, it worked out perfectly for us.

00:04:06
Speaker 7: Yeah.

00:04:07
Speaker 2: Yeah, as far as interviews this week, do you then have Seattle players that and coaches that you have responsibilities for saying with.

00:04:15
Speaker 3: You Melissa, Yes, so we do.

00:04:17
Speaker 4: So we're both going to boat team practices, production meetings and all that, and then on the on the side of that, we're each talking to all the individual players for our teams. But we went to media night and yeah, I was just with what a circus.

00:04:29
Speaker 5: Yeah, that was that was wild? Were you there? No, No, it's too late for you, yes, yes, Plus you.

00:04:34
Speaker 3: Don't really learn anything there.

00:04:36
Speaker 4: Well, we got we were behind the scenes down in the hallways, you know, with the with the players that we.

00:04:40
Speaker 5: Wanted to talk to.

00:04:41
Speaker 6: So typically during a regular game week, we would each be getting on the phone with a couple of players that we were crossing the teams. In this case, we got to do a face to face. We got to do it between all their different responsibilities on opening night and get more players than we would typically have for a regular game, which just sort of adds to that information that we need to go through just and make sure we've got all of our bases covered.

00:05:01
Speaker 4: And it's interesting because you know the job of the sideline reporter is to be the eyes and the ears down the field and get you to access right and to interview the coaches and injuries of course, but observations while you're down there, and it's and then do you storytell, and it's it's almost you know, we didn't do a ton of storytelling this season where you you know, you really personalize a player, because it does in a way, it can take you out of the game at that moment. But this is such a big audience, so it'll be interesting to me to see how it plays out for us because we have some incredible stories on some of these players. You know, I talked to Marcus Jones last night about his son who has autism and he's four years old and Marcus Jones' is learning sign language and things like that. So how does that get into a football game? You know, that's that's the hard part. But the audience is so big that stories like that will appeal to and touch someone and make you root for that player.

00:05:53
Speaker 2: But you could also have these stories told in the pregame since.

00:05:57
Speaker 5: It's well, we're not in the pregame.

00:05:58
Speaker 3: I know, but can't you do it story for the pregame?

00:06:01
Speaker 5: Oh, I see what you're saying. Yes, I don't know.

00:06:04
Speaker 3: You don't lower yourself to the pre.

00:06:08
Speaker 2: Game.

00:06:09
Speaker 5: We are in the pregame show we do.

00:06:11
Speaker 6: We will each be at the team hotels, yes, the morning of the Super Bowl and be able to take the logistics.

00:06:16
Speaker 5: You know, when they're leaving what's going on? I know we want we want to be in the pregim we'd be.

00:06:21
Speaker 2: Glad to uh the arrangement for the coaches at halftime.

00:06:25
Speaker 3: Yes, you got two questions for each.

00:06:28
Speaker 4: This is actually an interesting This is the first time ever they both want to be interviewed going in, so we have them back to back, so live. I hope, I hope Kelly doesn't go really long with hers.

00:06:39
Speaker 5: And and I get one question.

00:06:41
Speaker 6: Because the Patriot the home team going to do during the regular season, the home team coach gets to choose does he want to be going in or coming out? In this case, Mike Rable wants to be going in, but Mike McDonald also wants to be going in, So we had to have that conversation with their staffs to be like and I had this conversation face to face with Mike McDonald last night, saying, do you understand Melissa is going to get Mike Rabel first and you might have to wait a beat with me.

00:07:06
Speaker 4: Which hold down, you know, feels like a lifetime when you're out there and you're holding a coach and you're waiting.

00:07:11
Speaker 5: Oh yeah, and you're saying.

00:07:12
Speaker 4: Okay, but hetch he knows the position, yeah.

00:07:15
Speaker 2: Putting himself in and you're trying to make small talk with a guy who might be down. You know, thirteen points you're gone, okay, you're just holding.

00:07:22
Speaker 4: At that point, you're just holding his arm, like don't please, don't leave, no small talk.

00:07:26
Speaker 3: Who's the toughest though, to get information out of?

00:07:28
Speaker 1: You mean?

00:07:29
Speaker 5: Coach wise?

00:07:30
Speaker 4: What's interesting we talk about that because some coaches I just always say in our production meetings, just say something, give us something like not coach.

00:07:37
Speaker 3: Did you say this to the coach?

00:07:38
Speaker 8: Yes?

00:07:39
Speaker 5: Oh yeah, yes, to say make it memorable.

00:07:41
Speaker 3: You know you wouldn't say just a Belichick, did you Well?

00:07:43
Speaker 5: I mean I would I kind of. I would say, I would say, well, would you give me more off camera?

00:07:49
Speaker 4: I would say, all right, if I don't interview you on camera, which I know you don't want to do, please just give me like a little bit something off camera.

00:07:56
Speaker 5: You know you just do these little negotiations right.

00:07:59
Speaker 2: Well, why can't you say can I get something from Josh McDaniels, Like can I get something from an assistant?

00:08:06
Speaker 3: So I don't bother.

00:08:07
Speaker 5: You that like Coach K used to do that at Duke.

00:08:10
Speaker 6: You would go to an assistant instead of doing the halftime interview with Coach K.

00:08:15
Speaker 5: I mean, I think both of these coaches are pretty good.

00:08:17
Speaker 4: Sometimes I feel like I hear sometimes if you were say, you know, the coach is never going to say anything, Why do we want that? But it's access, right, it's access. There is the debate of certain coaches that give so much coach speak. Do you just talk to them off camera and then you report you know the best of what they said. But you know, I think you see their face, you see their emotion.

00:08:39
Speaker 5: And I can go a real long way.

00:08:40
Speaker 4: Yeah, are you a fan of I think you're over there not being a fan of those of the coach interviews.

00:08:47
Speaker 2: No. I feel bad sometimes for them or for us, for you, for you guys.

00:08:52
Speaker 3: I know, it's just sometimes that you can have a great question, yes, and it doesn't matter.

00:08:57
Speaker 9: It doesn't matter because you need.

00:08:59
Speaker 3: Somebody to play. You need somebody.

00:09:01
Speaker 2: Now you're going to say, hey, what adjustments you're going to make in the second half, as if they're going to tell you, you know. So there's so many there's sort of like open ended questions. I hope you're going to take a bite of this. Chances are they're not going to say too much. And if they're up, they don't want to share anything. If they're down the obvious, you know they're going to share the obvious. So that would be the only thing that I cringe sometimes because I know you have to ask a question, but I know they're not going to answer the question.

00:09:27
Speaker 4: We just have to make sure our job is to ask the right question, and that's it, and that's what we can't. I go over this all the time with my our producer, and I just say, well, what I want him to say is this.

00:09:39
Speaker 5: Engineer.

00:09:39
Speaker 6: But I think Melissa and I share the feeling that in that moment, we just want.

00:09:43
Speaker 5: To help the viewer learn something.

00:09:45
Speaker 6: So it's give that coach runway, right, ask that open, neutral, lean question where they can say whatever it.

00:09:52
Speaker 5: Is that they want to say. But hopefully it is illuminating in some ways if you're not cringing.

00:09:57
Speaker 2: Okay, but I the feeling for you because I've seen this happen so often and you're rooting for just a smooth transaction.

00:10:07
Speaker 3: Yes, that's it for.

00:10:08
Speaker 5: It to not go badly, yes.

00:10:10
Speaker 2: But if it does, I wanted to really go bad because thank you, But not this Sunday, of course.

00:10:17
Speaker 3: But when you have the coach who won't stop and you've got to run after that, that drives me crazy.

00:10:21
Speaker 5: Yeah, and you really have you had to chase somebody?

00:10:24
Speaker 8: Yes?

00:10:24
Speaker 5: Who'd you have to chase Kyle Shanahan? Oh I believe that? Yeah?

00:10:27
Speaker 3: Always? Yes?

00:10:28
Speaker 6: Oh, I get in his way, I mean or they Yeah, they've made it where.

00:10:32
Speaker 3: You run up.

00:10:32
Speaker 4: Now you run up to him, so you're you're blocking where he goes to the tunnel, he runs to you and to him, because.

00:10:38
Speaker 6: Usually the forty nine ers, when they're on their home sideline, he has to run across the end zone to get to their tunnel, so you come at the opposite angle.

00:10:45
Speaker 5: But these are the things that we think about.

00:10:47
Speaker 6: I mean, we have meetings to talk about the logistics pre stuffs to say, this is where we're meeting for this interviews all free kick or I mean, yeah, this is We're fined by the seat of our pants on a lot, but there we plan where we can.

00:10:59
Speaker 2: They are the sideline reporters, Melissa Stark and Kaylee Hartung and your first Super Bowl Melissa's second. You have to dress appropriately to be able to run across a football field.

00:11:09
Speaker 5: Well, it's funny.

00:11:09
Speaker 4: We've also talked about that. You know, we don't want one of us to look like we're you know, we want to go into the ball party. Yeah, exactly reordinating.

00:11:18
Speaker 3: But yes, but I say shoes.

00:11:20
Speaker 5: Shoes, Oh starts there, Well, shoes.

00:11:22
Speaker 4: I am normally I always wear sneakers, but it's the Super Bowl, so I'm going to elevate a little bit.

00:11:26
Speaker 5: Yeah, we're wearing these shoes. You know I'm wearing the bach like shoes. I'm wearing.

00:11:29
Speaker 6: Yeah, a nice block heel, you know, but like not to doesn't sink in.

00:11:33
Speaker 5: Yeah, we think about about these things.

00:11:35
Speaker 2: Yeah, no, no, I'm curious about these things.

00:11:38
Speaker 5: We could have a wardrobe change.

00:11:39
Speaker 3: Yeah, what if there's rain.

00:11:41
Speaker 5: Well, she just said you to buy a rain jacket.

00:11:43
Speaker 6: I ordered a Range jacket yesterday because I was like, you know what, there is a small I saw that. No, and if I don't have a rain jacket, I guarantee it will rain. I used to buy a Range but if I have it, I'm thinking I'm helping our chances that it will.

00:11:56
Speaker 2: Got to be careful what kind of colors you wear on the sidelines.

00:12:00
Speaker 6: Uh oh, that's what I said to Yeah, we again a conversation with Haley is the one thing. It's one thing when you're the only sideline reporter on the game, you're not touching colors of either team. In this case, we each have our own sideline. Navy blue just happens to be a color for both teams. I think if navy blue is kind of a neutral.

00:12:16
Speaker 5: Yes, she's wearing navy blue. I am wearing navy blue. Sue me. I like the suit, and here we go.

00:12:22
Speaker 2: I think there's a prop bet on what color. So now it's navy blue, so you can be able to put some money down on that.

00:12:27
Speaker 10: There you go.

00:12:28
Speaker 3: Do you care who wins?

00:12:30
Speaker 5: We want a great game, We want a lot of emotion. I mean postgame interviews, Despike. I was going to ask you, you.

00:12:35
Speaker 4: Know what, It's so funny because it's if my team, if the Patriots lose, I have to do a losing interview with Rabel and.

00:12:42
Speaker 5: Same for me with this, And I was actually thinking.

00:12:43
Speaker 4: About you because I feel like you've done You've had to do a lot of those in those big moments, and sort of how I've never had to do that in my career.

00:12:50
Speaker 3: I think you have to do the library voice.

00:12:54
Speaker 5: Okay, so you get very quiet, yeah, and very somber.

00:12:57
Speaker 3: Yes, I know.

00:12:58
Speaker 5: But but the questioning is it just what was the mess? It's the team and all.

00:13:01
Speaker 3: Yeah, I think you'll get a sense of it.

00:13:03
Speaker 2: You know, as nosy as you are, you'll be great, thank you. No, absolutely, you're very curious, so you'll But getting a sense of emotion is what we want because if that was your team and your coach and you lost, and then you want to empathize. Even if you're Seattle in New England loses, you're still you know, you feel bad somebody is going to have to lose, but you can't say, like, man, Mike, you blew it. Uh, you know, don't know leading questions like that.

00:13:33
Speaker 5: Right, yeah, thank you for that. You should have asked.

00:13:35
Speaker 2: You you should have run the ball if a goal line and not thrown the ball at the goal.

00:13:40
Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, that's always a good one. Thanks for joining us.

00:13:44
Speaker 5: Thanks you so fun.

00:13:47
Speaker 2: Melissa start Kaylee Hardtongue they joined us a couple of days ago. They will be on the sidelines. So there's a lot of things going on for everybody broadcasting this game. And Melissa brings up something that every it's not every reporter's nightmare. It's you've got to get into a mood when you're going to talk to somebody who just lost the biggest game of their life.

00:14:07
Speaker 3: How do you do it?

00:14:08
Speaker 2: And of course I always say, you got to start with the voice coach, que disappointing loss.

00:14:17
Speaker 3: What was your message to your team? How does that sound?

00:14:21
Speaker 9: How much you care?

00:14:22
Speaker 11: Yeah you sound kind of amused actually what you did? Yeah, yeah, you sound kind of amused. I think you have to take it down even.

00:14:29
Speaker 3: From Okay, all right, coach, thanks for joining us. I know, difficult time. What was the message to your team? There you go?

00:14:39
Speaker 9: That was more of a death in the family tone.

00:14:41
Speaker 3: I think, Well, their hopes and dreams just die.

00:14:43
Speaker 2: Yeah, it might have been worse than a death in the family, depending on depending on family members. That's there's a couple I could lose and know what, We're still okay.

00:14:56
Speaker 9: Tough loss, but great Caesar, look how close you came.

00:14:58
Speaker 7: Just make it positives to go to.

00:14:59
Speaker 3: The other Well you are mister positive.

00:15:02
Speaker 7: Eve goes with the.

00:15:02
Speaker 12: Depressing, you know, funeral type thing.

00:15:05
Speaker 3: That was a great season.

00:15:06
Speaker 5: I know you wanted to get this last w but now let's get over it and.

00:15:09
Speaker 3: Think about all the positive things.

00:15:10
Speaker 2: So could you imagine, Melissa Stark says to Mike Brabel. Yeah, tough loss, but hey, you got to hear Melissa.

00:15:18
Speaker 7: I can't. I can understand what you're trying to do, but I'm just a little upset disappointed right now. But thank you.

00:15:23
Speaker 10: Yes, Marvin, I'm not sure if that'll work with Mike Rabel, probably not. Hey, great season, what'd you just say to me? Yeah, because you're not thinking about what happened in October and November.

00:15:34
Speaker 2: But you got to use the library voice. You got to be very quiet, funeral voice, like you're I'm so sorry for your loss.

00:15:42
Speaker 9: We're also sorry.

00:15:44
Speaker 3: I'm so sorry for your lost. Yes, Marvin damn tough loss at the Emmys something like that.

00:15:50
Speaker 9: Oh no, why do you do that?

00:15:53
Speaker 3: Why do you do that?

00:15:54
Speaker 2: Is honored to be nominated, it is, but I feel sorry. Like I say to you, guys, I'm so sorry for your loss.

00:16:03
Speaker 3: Because it's not a Yes, I didn't It's not on me. I didn't lose the Sports Emmy. Yes, what if.

00:16:11
Speaker 9: Sam Darnold did that, like he has four touchdowns and they lose.

00:16:14
Speaker 3: Hey, it wasn't not me. I did my job.

Speaker 3: Todd Yeah, they did.

00:19:06
Speaker 2: Yeah, seven sacks, four takeaways. If Cam Newton had won that Super Bowl, would he be an MVP? He was an MVP, would he be a Hall of Famer? Because I don't he's up for the Hall of Fame first time next year. I don't think he's going to be a Hall of Famer. He had seven really good years, but an MVP and a Super Bowl appearance, yes, Mark, I.

00:19:33
Speaker 10: Feel like him and Matt Ryan in the same category, like a Super Bowl win would really help their case for the Hall of Fame.

00:19:40
Speaker 2: Matt's got more Pro Bowls, he had more sustained goodness greatness than Cam did. Cam's highlight. You know, the big stat is rushing touchdowns, but I think Josh Allen's already surpassed that, and I thought, you know, if you get to eighty touchdowns rushing, yeah, Paulie.

00:20:01
Speaker 14: Cam also had almost six thousand yards rushing in a not long long career.

00:20:08
Speaker 2: That's one of those more designed runs probably would have helped him. But I go back to that season opener the following year where Carolina plays Denver and I'm down on the field because we were doing Football Night in America and the Broncos beat the hell out of Cam Newton, like it was.

00:20:27
Speaker 3: I don't want to go.

00:20:28
Speaker 2: As far as say cheap shots, but man, you could have read into it. They hit him and hit him often and it you know, I don't care how big you are, and if you're around Cam, you go.

00:20:40
Speaker 3: Damn.

00:20:41
Speaker 2: He played quarterback, but still these guys are coming at you all different angles.

00:20:46
Speaker 3: And they pounded him in that game.

00:20:47
Speaker 14: Yes, PAULI, I'm looking at some numbers, at some metrics, and it doesn't appear that Cam would make the Hall of Fame, but there has to be some type of designation, Like, man, that guy was a handful for a while.

00:20:57
Speaker 3: Yeah.

00:20:57
Speaker 14: I don't know if that's an actual award, but there was a four year window where he was a handful to.

00:21:02
Speaker 2: Deal with and he had one of the great until Jayden Daniels. He had maybe the greatest rookie season in Carolina, you know, with the hope of Steve Smith.

00:21:12
Speaker 3: Yeah.

00:21:13
Speaker 11: Yeah, it's like having one of the most dominant seasons of all time isn't enough, But it kind of feels like it should be, but maybe not. You know, It's like his window maybe wasn't long enough. Yeah, you know, which feels unfair. Because he was so good in that window.

00:21:31
Speaker 2: But also we look at quarterback and you have to have kind of like ten years, and if Cam had seven, really good. I mean it just feels like at that position, we expect more out of you than a running back or any other position.

00:21:44
Speaker 3: Yeah.

00:21:44
Speaker 11: See, he doesn't seem to get any injury benefit of doubt where there are some. I mean, he was hurt for a lot of his career, and there's a lot of people that are like, man, if it wasn't for injuries, he would have been better. Cam doesn't get that same benefit of the doubt of it's too bad he was injured so much because he was great, but.

00:21:59
Speaker 2: He didn't get the career ending injury like Terrell Davis that you if Cam Newton got injured after seven years, I wonder if they grade him differently. Who will win the MVP next season case you're wondering, I got the odds before we get to Cede Lamb Marvin, I'll start with you. Best odds to win the MVP next year, Josh Allen Bloop Wow. Second best odds to win MVP, Paul Patrick Mahomes, No Todd Nick.

00:22:33
Speaker 11: Seeon obviously, Justin Herbert it's Lamar Jackson. Who then you have Mahomes, Herbert and Burrow and Drake may all with the same odds. I bet you that list maybe Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson. I bet they've been top three. Yeah for the last ten years. Yeah, you're right.

00:22:54
Speaker 3: Ceedee.

00:22:54
Speaker 2: Lamb stopped by yesterday after the show, joining us on behalf of Old Spice, and I started the interview by saying, you look like a million bucks. Do you have a million bucks of jewelry on today?

00:23:07
Speaker 7: I don't know, don't I wish I did.

00:23:10
Speaker 3: What's the most expensive expensive thing you got on you?

00:23:13
Speaker 7: Probably my watch, but we don't have to go into numbers.

00:23:19
Speaker 3: And now you got the teeth match in the earrings.

00:23:23
Speaker 8: Man, you know, expensive taste a little bit, but like it was worth it a little bit.

00:23:29
Speaker 3: Yeah, I smiled a lot. I don't think I could get by with that.

00:23:34
Speaker 7: That's okay, No, it's okay. I'll wear for the both of us.

00:23:38
Speaker 3: Yeah.

00:23:40
Speaker 2: I was curious about the competitiveness of the flagged football.

00:23:43
Speaker 8: Game, honestly, so this is how it goes, like, obviously there's going to be a long game.

00:23:48
Speaker 7: We realized it was twelve minutes.

00:23:50
Speaker 8: Four quarters, twelve minutes per quarter, right, yeah, it was a running clock. The clock goes on, but it wasn't moving as fat. So we're like, all right, we're gonna be here a while. I feel like a real football game, you know. And then it start to pick up as you realize it started to pick up after halftime. So the first two quarters is like kind of methodical in a way. But then I think the game started picking up after the in the second half.

00:24:18
Speaker 2: Who is the most competitive out there as far as team or Claire, Oh, everybody on the NFC.

00:24:26
Speaker 8: I know that for In fact, I feel like we started locking in really.

00:24:30
Speaker 7: Yeah.

00:24:30
Speaker 8: It got seriously towards the end, Like once the fourth quarter begin, everyone's like, all right, now let's go in.

00:24:37
Speaker 3: What's like Dak gave a speech, didn't it.

00:24:39
Speaker 7: It's a good time. It's a good time. You always do.

00:24:42
Speaker 2: So the pride takes over of the NFC versus the A six, Yeah.

00:24:46
Speaker 8: I feel like it does. The AFC, they just they just can't pull it off. Saw them though, you know, good, good to have you to come compete, do it a great you know, bond with us.

00:25:00
Speaker 7: But at the end of the day of the NFC, no, we control the travel.

00:25:03
Speaker 2: Are you rooting then for Seattle because they're the NFC in the Super Bowl?

00:25:08
Speaker 7: No, that that doesn't go the same way as the Pro Bowls.

00:25:15
Speaker 3: Do you care who wins?

00:25:17
Speaker 7: Honestly, no, I don't.

00:25:19
Speaker 8: But congrats to them though, because obviously they work so hard to be here, and obviously I wish me and my team was there, so like there's a bit of jealousy, you know, but they again, they des erre that. They work hard, they stay healthy, they did everything they need to do.

00:25:33
Speaker 7: Throughout the season.

00:25:34
Speaker 8: So congrass whoever wins and whoever lose. I know it feels feels pretty bad, but it's good to be here.

00:25:41
Speaker 2: Is there a defensive back that gives you trouble meet trouble?

00:25:46
Speaker 7: Nah?

00:25:46
Speaker 3: Nobody, No.

00:25:47
Speaker 8: But I will say it's like there's a lot of good dbs out there. You know, you got passer Tained, you got Denzel Ward, you got dere Extin, you got guards of that nature. You got Tarik Wiland, who's now in the in the Super Bowl.

00:25:57
Speaker 7: Christian Gonzales. I'm all that.

00:26:00
Speaker 8: If you realize I named a lot of afcdbs. I feel like they're pretty nice.

00:26:04
Speaker 2: But nobody gave you no No, not possible.

00:26:08
Speaker 8: I wouldn't say that possible. It's not probable.

00:26:12
Speaker 3: Any of these guys talk to you.

00:26:13
Speaker 8: Yeah, I mean, now have a couple. We have a couple of chit chats. It's nothing crazy. It's like, you gotta give me some work. You're not giving me nothing. You know, That's all it is. It will be short and brief, you know, like, let's get to it. Like I'm bored, you know, like.

00:26:29
Speaker 2: Can you let our audience know what it's like though, to be a cowboy where you're the most famous franchise, but everything you do is under a microscope during the game, after the game, when you know, social life, all of that.

00:26:43
Speaker 7: Yeah, it's a bit unique. I feel like it's one of one.

00:26:45
Speaker 8: It's something that you much more have to experience than I can give you the experience.

00:26:51
Speaker 7: You know, Like for me, it's gonna be much different than anyone.

00:26:54
Speaker 8: Else because I feel like obviously the I'm living on a microscope, and I feel like everything that I do is it's emphasized a lot, right, So, I mean, you get used to it as you as you continue to to build on the culture, understand what's going on, the scenery, the team get in the field for how we do things.

00:27:11
Speaker 7: But man, it's tough. It's almost like I don't really know.

00:27:16
Speaker 8: You walk outside your house and everyone's already outside your house winning you to come out.

00:27:20
Speaker 7: It's almost like an expectant appearance, you know.

00:27:22
Speaker 8: So for us, there's the expectation that's built off the history that we've had and we got to uphold. So I feel like for us, the pressure's on every single time that we line up or that we're continuing to get the band together to work towards the championship, So everything's going to be overemphasized. We play good, it's a it's the greatest day on earth. We play bad, it's the worst.

00:27:42
Speaker 7: Day you can have in your life, you know.

00:27:44
Speaker 8: So I feel like for us, you got to keep that even line, stay neutral and just enjoy it because I mean, you don't get really too many experiences. How you get in Dallas?

00:27:54
Speaker 3: Are you guys like the Kardashians of the NFL?

00:27:58
Speaker 7: That's a that's a unique comparison.

00:28:01
Speaker 3: And if so, who are you?

00:28:04
Speaker 7: See?

00:28:05
Speaker 8: I can't just give myself a comparison of a woman, right is that?

00:28:09
Speaker 7: Well?

00:28:09
Speaker 3: No, just a popular like are you Kim?

00:28:11
Speaker 8: Are you might be no, dag is Kim. Kim is the most famous one. Yeah, so who's Chloe or.

00:28:18
Speaker 7: Chloe or I go Kylie?

00:28:20
Speaker 3: I'm oh you're Kylie? You know? I see who are you mistaken for?

00:28:27
Speaker 12: For?

00:28:27
Speaker 3: People think you're somebody else.

00:28:30
Speaker 7: Every now and then. Not really now though, who do you? Who do you? Who do you? What's your take? Yeah? I've heard that all through high school A little bit, A little bit.

00:28:42
Speaker 8: I've heard young thug in high school, a sap college. I guess as I grow up, I change people.

00:28:49
Speaker 3: But that's not bad, man, I guess it's ye.

00:28:53
Speaker 7: He's a good looking guy. No, no crazy. You know.

00:28:55
Speaker 2: I appreciated Lamb joining us on behalf of Old Spice the new cologne Infuse.

00:29:05
Speaker 3: Do you know? Let me hear the picture.

00:29:09
Speaker 7: I'm ready, I'm ready.

00:29:10
Speaker 8: I done it for this your there's someone here that's a little more.

00:29:16
Speaker 3: Not okay, all right, here you go.

00:29:19
Speaker 8: Okay, so okay, so listen the first thing once again.

00:29:22
Speaker 3: Here's ceed Lamb on behalf of Old Spice. Wait, we got hecklers there, their seagulls.

00:29:35
Speaker 7: Wow, okay, that are you gonna give it to me?

00:29:37
Speaker 1: Okay?

00:29:37
Speaker 3: Here we go, Okay, all right, here we go.

00:29:40
Speaker 2: Okay that the Cowboys seed Lamb joins us on behalf of old Spice and their new cologne infused.

00:29:47
Speaker 7: Absolutely.

00:29:49
Speaker 8: The first thing you notice about someone right is how they smell like it's gonna it's gonna take over a room. Right, So, all the spices and the spice alchemist thedorant. It helps you smell like you're wearing expensive cologne. Like I said me, I love to smell good. Everyone knows that. So when I'm walking out the house, I want to feel fresh. I want to feel inviting, like I want people, you know.

00:30:08
Speaker 7: So for me, it's just using.

00:30:12
Speaker 8: Right here, I have my Cashmere vanilla wood Cologni. If he's the other right here, you guys should try it. Give it a you know, give it a try.

00:30:20
Speaker 5: I want to make that of it.

00:30:22
Speaker 3: There you go, thank you?

00:30:24
Speaker 7: Yeah, so good about that one.

00:30:27
Speaker 3: I could see you doing movies.

00:30:29
Speaker 7: I can. I want. I would love to. I'd love to try. Honestly, I could see it in my future.

00:30:33
Speaker 3: Okay, like action, he wrong.

00:30:36
Speaker 8: Yeah, A little drama, little suspense, romance.

00:30:41
Speaker 7: I could be that I could do. That could be very romance. Okay.

00:30:47
Speaker 2: I just want to make sure how close are the cowboys to being in a game like this.

00:30:53
Speaker 8: I feel like we're very close. We just gotta we got to put the pieces together.

00:30:56
Speaker 7: Right.

00:30:56
Speaker 8: As we know, our offenses fire, our defense wasn't as good. But once we combine those two things, we got a couple of pieces that we need to bring back offensively. And I'm pretty sure everybody here knows exactly who I'm talking about. But yeah, get our defense together.

00:31:14
Speaker 3: And then George coming back.

00:31:16
Speaker 7: He has no choice. I say that.

00:31:19
Speaker 2: Oh, but you're not going to give up any of your You're not going to defer any of your money or restructure to bring Georgia.

00:31:25
Speaker 7: I mean, if it's necessary.

00:31:26
Speaker 8: Oh honestly, Okay, I'm pretty I'm I'm pretty good. But I know he's going to get every penny the day he deserved here in Dallas.

00:31:33
Speaker 2: But when's the last time you talked to Micah Parsons?

00:31:37
Speaker 7: Yesterday?

00:31:38
Speaker 8: Oh and Micah is and so, I mean he was here at the Pro Bowl. So we're here, we're here since Saturday. I want to say, what's today? I lose shock of day? Oh wow, we're here for some time?

00:31:49
Speaker 3: Okay, wait, what's been going on these other days?

00:31:52
Speaker 8: You get a lot of Pro Bowl work just practice communicating with the guys hotel movements. It's been a lot, it's been a lot, okay, but it's been a great time. It's been a great experience. And yeah, I was with Michael. You know, he's on his little scooter and he's real active. I've never seen someone so active and so like energetic and a problem.

00:32:14
Speaker 7: On a scooter.

00:32:15
Speaker 3: He got kicked off the field.

00:32:16
Speaker 8: Yeah, because he wanted to get on the field and score a touchdown.

00:32:22
Speaker 7: You know it's Micah, It's.

00:32:24
Speaker 2: Michaeh Uh, you're a star and uh we love watching you play.

00:32:29
Speaker 7: Appreciate.

00:32:29
Speaker 2: Not a Cowboy fan though, sorry, yeah, I mean but I know, like we know, right, Yeah.

00:32:35
Speaker 7: It's all right safe here.

00:32:36
Speaker 8: I've met a lot of people that says they're not Cowboys fans, which is cool. And I mean everybody has their fair share of boats, right, like everybody has a different team.

00:32:44
Speaker 3: Well, he can't root for anybody. I got to be neutral overall.

00:32:48
Speaker 2: So you don't, No, I don't have a team.

00:32:51
Speaker 7: I feel like you do.

00:32:52
Speaker 3: You know I do not? Now they all have teams.

00:32:58
Speaker 7: Okay, okay, okay.

00:32:59
Speaker 2: Bronco, Patriot, Bear Niners.

00:33:03
Speaker 7: How long? Who's the Patriot fan? Here.

00:33:05
Speaker 11: How long, man, that's an interesting question. As soon as I found it to be really funny to be the Patriots fan, so probably eighteen years.

00:33:14
Speaker 3: Okay, Okay, he just didn't jump on the band.

00:33:17
Speaker 8: Okay, that's what I was assuming, because I mean Tom has been doing a great job for some time.

00:33:23
Speaker 2: Yeah, mine too. Thanks for joining us, My pleasure and good luck. Yeah, you know you got it down. Did you practice in front of the mirror today with the old spice a little bit?

00:33:37
Speaker 7: I had a little rehearsal this morning.

00:33:40
Speaker 3: That's the way to do it. It's just like a game plan, you know.

00:33:43
Speaker 7: It's just like practice.

00:33:44
Speaker 8: You can't go with your game plan and not practicing it be as confident.

00:33:49
Speaker 3: So do you wear cologne on the field when you play?

00:33:52
Speaker 7: No, I mean I wear this. Oh you wear the old story of this, and I smell like I do.

00:33:57
Speaker 3: I'm running light buying so they can they can they get a whiff of you as you I got it? Oh, I got it. Yeah, I'm picking it up. I'm picking it up.

00:34:15
Speaker 2: It's not I'm picking it up like I'm too old to pick it up. A little picking it up. Uh, he's seedy, Lamb of the Cowboys. Joining us on behalf.

00:34:28
Speaker 3: Of Old Spice. He was fun.

00:34:31
Speaker 2: He was surprisingly animated and uh, he looks like a star, Like he had the teeth and they had the jewelry in his ears and then uh.

00:34:41
Speaker 11: He decked out with a watch, came out wearing sweatpants. It was like, look, how awesome this guy is.

00:34:46
Speaker 2: And the fact that he said he'd restructure his contract if it meant George Pickens could come back. But he was fun. He is Uh, he's a future star out of football. All right, we'll take a break here. Mike Erico, Chris collins Worth, they're calling Super Bowl sixty. They'll join us next here on the Dan Patrick Show.

00:35:03
Speaker 1: Fox Sports Radio has the best sports talk lineup in the nation. Catch all of our shows at foxsports Radio dot com and within the iHeartRadio app. Search FSR to listen live. Mike Trico, Chris Collinsworth. Uh, they'll be on the call for the Super Bowl. They sat down with us a couple of days ago. It'll be the first Super Bowl for Mike Turrico on the call. And that's where I started our conversation.

00:35:31
Speaker 2: First for me, okay, and then mister Patriot in the Super Bowl is what is this the fifth Patriot super Bowl you've done?

00:35:38
Speaker 7: Is that unbelievable or what?

00:35:40
Speaker 3: Just a coincidence? Of course?

00:35:42
Speaker 9: Well maybe not.

00:35:43
Speaker 7: You never know.

00:35:44
Speaker 15: You know, I'm unpopular a lot of places. Maybe I can be popular there, you never know.

00:35:48
Speaker 3: Okay, where are you the most unpopular?

00:35:51
Speaker 9: Philadelphia?

00:35:52
Speaker 3: Okay?

00:35:52
Speaker 15: No, Granham champion, Grandam?

00:35:56
Speaker 3: Did you earn it? Of course?

00:36:00
Speaker 9: Thousand percent?

00:36:00
Speaker 12: Yeah?

00:36:01
Speaker 3: And where are you most popular?

00:36:03
Speaker 15: You would think Cincinnati, although that really is not the case at all. Although I do think I'm making a comeback in a few places.

00:36:12
Speaker 3: Okay, in a Kansas Yeah?

00:36:15
Speaker 7: They yeah, they.

00:36:16
Speaker 15: Think I yeah overly love Patrick?

00:36:19
Speaker 7: Yeah?

00:36:20
Speaker 3: Do you overly love Patrick Mahomes?

00:36:23
Speaker 2: Well?

00:36:23
Speaker 15: Now I'm like, it's like getting to be entertainment. So I'm taking advantage of it.

00:36:28
Speaker 7: Now.

00:36:30
Speaker 15: Now I'm looking for memes. I'm like, God, what did I do to Patrick this week? You know, it's like it's.

00:36:36
Speaker 9: I'm his boy.

00:36:36
Speaker 7: I guess.

00:36:37
Speaker 3: I don't know. Do you have the Have you drawn the ire of any fan base? MinC Not yet?

00:36:42
Speaker 14: No.

00:36:42
Speaker 12: I just let Chris take those boats and.

00:36:44
Speaker 3: It's good for me that way. Why does Joe Buck run into that?

00:36:47
Speaker 12: I don't know, It's so wrong too that that that actually angers me because Joe's not like.

00:36:52
Speaker 3: That at all. Wait, it angers anger. Joe's the best.

00:36:56
Speaker 15: Yeah, but Joe's like a smart alec, you know, like he's not to take He could be in the last thirty seconds of the super Bowl and he if something comes to his brain, you know what he used to do.

00:37:09
Speaker 9: This is no kidding.

00:37:10
Speaker 3: So you were with Troy and Joe the first right.

00:37:13
Speaker 15: Yeah, yeah, yeah, in Jacksonville. But he would go in and we're sitting there. We go into these production meetings and the four assistant coach would come in there and we'd be asking questions. Troy and I are trying to break down to Dameron the whole thing, and Joe's got his card out, you know, he's like very serious, make a note and doing it all that, and then he would the coach would get up and leave the room, and then Joe, who does great impersonations, would do an impersonation of the coach he had just met, leaving the room, talking about how incredibly stupid I am as a coach and why would you ask me these? I mean just like stand up comedy routines. So there's a reason why, you know, fans they catch on.

00:37:58
Speaker 2: But you listen, Like social media does it, you know, bring attention to things that are important to you that maybe you didn't realize that you're what you're saying during a game or not saying during a game.

00:38:10
Speaker 12: I think every once in a while you'll get caught making a mistake, and that's that's fine, that's legit. But most of the criticism is there's a direct correlation with who loses the game and who's angry at you on social media. But well, I think what we all want to do is play by play. Guys, at least you want to get on social media. Well maybe you don't want to, but if you get on, you want somebody to say you're you're so pro rams, and then the next tweet to say.

00:38:35
Speaker 3: You are so up the Bears, you know what you know?

00:38:37
Speaker 12: Like, okay, fine, then I did a great job and I'm gonna leave tonight happy.

00:38:40
Speaker 3: That's what you want.

00:38:41
Speaker 15: That's the single most asked question I've had in my career. Why do you hate THEE? And then whoever follows after that, and so why do you hate the whatever the rams? And do you try to answer it, but it's like there's no way to answer that like, why do you hate the And I was like, you know, what's your favorite team? Hold the Rams? But and I said to you, I hate anybody else, and go no, just the Rams. I've listened to you a long time.

00:39:10
Speaker 9: I just hate the Rams.

00:39:12
Speaker 7: I'm like, yeah, all right, I'll work on it.

00:39:14
Speaker 2: It's the team calling Super Bowl sixty this Sunday, Mike Terico calling his first Super Bowl and Chris Collins is Worth calling his sixth fifth involving the Patriots. The storyline going into this game will be what for you, Mike.

00:39:28
Speaker 3: That's a good one because there's not one of those.

00:39:30
Speaker 12: Here's Brady going for his third or his fourth or sixth or anything like that. I think for me it is can this new England team, which we're so familiar with. They're the best party guests at the Super Bowl, They're always here. Can this new England team, with a new era win the old Patriots way? Defense, quarterback, don't make a mistake in a close game, and find a way to win. To me, that is it's really magnetic what this team has done in a short period of time. Doesn't mean to be East host bias, but I just feel like that national brand and all their success and they've been to twelve now, which is insane, and they're going for seven, which nobody's done before.

00:40:08
Speaker 2: And the owner can't get in the Hall of Fame or the coach who won the six?

00:40:13
Speaker 3: Yeah, how about that? Silly?

00:40:15
Speaker 2: It really is, okay, which one's crazier that the owner with eleven or the coach with six?

00:40:22
Speaker 15: They're both so stupid. I can barely stand it. I mean, why do we have a Hall of fame?

00:40:27
Speaker 7: Then?

00:40:28
Speaker 9: Is the Hall of Fame.

00:40:29
Speaker 15: Not supposed to be about who are the best teams and coaches and owners and all that like?

00:40:35
Speaker 9: But it makes sense.

00:40:36
Speaker 3: But we have to understand the group that was voting.

00:40:38
Speaker 12: They can't vote everyone in, right, so there were decisions that had to be made. Were guys going to be up for their last time and all that, which speaks to the larger issue of what they're trying to do. The whole first ballot Hall of Fame thing is great conversation. You guys have crushed that conversation over the years, both sports. I mean, you know how circular is the the Pete Rose the Barry Bonds conversation on the baseball side. But of course these guys are Hall of famers, So but are they being punished for cheating?

00:41:05
Speaker 3: What do you think?

00:41:07
Speaker 15: Yeah, I just told you I'm making at the Temple in New England.

00:41:12
Speaker 9: I'm i drimming it up now.

00:41:13
Speaker 3: Well, Mike, I can ask you. Nobody hates you, so.

00:41:20
Speaker 12: Let's start this way. If they are, that's wrong. I don't know what's in the mind of the people voting. So I voted on the AP All Pro team and m VP and all that, and I didn't do it this year because starting the NBA, I didn't feel like I had the time to do it the right way.

00:41:36
Speaker 3: And Chris can tell you, like voting for.

00:41:38
Speaker 12: The left guard who's all Pro, is hard, but that's historic stuff. That's the stuff that are benchmarks for a career. If you don't have the time to do it the right way. I believe that all the people do in the Hall of Fame voting really invest in it and spend time in it. But it's it's it's a hard nut to crack when you're trying to justify did everybody do this the right way?

00:41:59
Speaker 2: Well, I don't want them change the rules the process. During the process. You want to change the system, change the system, but you'll say, I'm not going to vote for craft in Belichick because they're going to get in. Let me try to get these other guys in. That's a flawed system.

00:42:13
Speaker 12: And the outcry from the people who are in the game about Belichick not getting in, that tells me that the system needs adjustment.

00:42:23
Speaker 7: Yeah, sure it does.

00:42:26
Speaker 3: You got suggestions there.

00:42:28
Speaker 15: I mean to me, it's like when something you know, what's the old saying, I think long think wrong. Like if you're thinking about the other stuff, like I'm a football fan, should Bill Belichick and Robert Crafty in the Hall of Fame?

00:42:45
Speaker 3: Yeah?

00:42:46
Speaker 15: I mean, you know, Okay, everything else I get, you know, there's a but the bottom line is there are some that are just obvious, and we should not be kicking out obvious. Now, if you wanted to throw them out of the league, and you want to say gate or whatever at the time and whatever, you're gonna suspend it or whatever the case may be. You know, they did that with Pete Rose and that was all a part of that arrangement. But if it's not part of that arrangement, then it's just silliness.

00:43:13
Speaker 2: Well then how do you vote for them next year? If they're a cheater? Are they They're still a cheater? If that's if that was your logic, here can you then say, well, I punish them.

00:43:24
Speaker 3: It was a one year in Hall of Fame jail. But Dan, there's no why on the ballot, right, it's just I vote.

00:43:29
Speaker 12: So that person who may have thought that doesn't have to admit that should and next time they go, hey, you know what the rest of the people said he should be in. Maybe I was wrong and I'll change my vote. Should there be transparency? What is transparency mean? Who voted against? Well there has been now with all these all star teams, all these all pro teams, those ballots now come out, and that makes you think differently about what you put down, and you've got to be able to defend. Okay, why did you vote for so and so as the best left guard in the NFL or the second best left guard? So if you want to be a part of this that I think probably your vote should come out.

00:44:04
Speaker 3: How nervous do you get on Super Bowl Sunday? Chris? Compare that to when you played.

00:44:10
Speaker 15: I mean you and I sat in a room in Minnesota and had dinner one night the night before the game, and we talked about this a little bit. It's like, you know, it's it's just surreal almost to think about one hundred and thirty million people watching you and you are the only person on America's television for one hundred and thirty million people.

00:44:33
Speaker 9: So now you've got to deflect.

00:44:35
Speaker 15: You've got to think of ways to where that's not going to make you cry.

00:44:38
Speaker 3: You know, on the air, why did you say that? What? I had not thought of it that way until now.

00:44:46
Speaker 12: I'm going to go for for a little the Puffy's cove, little row in a boat by myself and think.

00:44:52
Speaker 3: Now, but yeah, it does.

00:44:55
Speaker 15: And the nice thing is, and it's just like playing in the game. I remember when we my very first Super Bowl, Diana Ross sang the national anthem and she walked right in front of our bitch. I mean, Diana Ross walked that close in front of me and I'm just and that's when Diana Ross was Diana Ross.

00:45:15
Speaker 3: Now, I mean, this is.

00:45:17
Speaker 9: This is an amazing woman.

00:45:20
Speaker 3: She still get to the point quick.

00:45:23
Speaker 15: But it was so we're all sitting there with our mouths over and you know, and she's going and we go in at halftime, we're down twenty to nothing. I still think it's the Diana Ross. I'm tot if she'd have walked in front of the other forty nine ers bench.

00:45:37
Speaker 2: Okay, you don't know what this is going to be, like, I have no idea, but is that good?

00:45:43
Speaker 3: How do you use that to your advantage?

00:45:44
Speaker 12: I've never worried about how many people were watching when I was doing a two am sports center with you.

00:45:50
Speaker 3: Or I didn't do the two am like I'm sorry, here's a hall of fame the Wednesday one am.

00:45:59
Speaker 12: Off the doubleheader, when Chris Myers wasn't gonna be there, there was us Yeah yeah, and overman showed up, didn't call in for work.

00:46:09
Speaker 2: No.

00:46:09
Speaker 12: You know, I I've never really gotten into that numbers thing. And I do remember before halftime we did Super Bowl fifty six, the pregame, halftime postgame, you know, I remember working with Drew Brees and Tony Duney like, oh, hey, guys know, we've got one hundred and ten million people, let's make sure we direct fifty eight seconds of content here the right way.

00:46:26
Speaker 3: I probably shouldn't have said.

00:46:27
Speaker 12: Drew's like, really exactly supposed to do that exactly exactly so that that doesn't that doesn't worry me or bother me.

00:46:35
Speaker 7: I'm not.

00:46:35
Speaker 3: I'm hopeful that that's not going to be in my mind.

00:46:38
Speaker 12: I think the anticipation is great, the adrenaline rush is cool, but you know, doing the Super Bowl trophy presentations, which you've done, doing the Olympics, all that stuff, it's just it's it's the show. But it's just another show. I can't change what people are doing. And the other part that's good is the couple of years I've got to Super Bowl parties, nobody's.

00:46:58
Speaker 3: Listening to us. I mean, half of that audience is not hanging on your every word.

00:47:02
Speaker 12: They're talking to somebody, They're getting dip, they want to fuel up for the game. So those one hundred and twenty million, half of them are engaged in some more important conference.

00:47:11
Speaker 15: How many of them are you ever going to meet? You know, you're not going to meet one hundred and thirty million people out there. You know they got social media. They can all bombard you with something will But I mean the bottom line is it's just like playing in the game. Mistakes are going to happen. You know, I've been doing this for a long time. I have never called a perfect game, never come close to calling them. And I'm not calling a perfect game in this one either, but it's it's part of the human factor. I think it's the why people are drawn to live television in any way, you know, the Grammy Awards, the Academy Awards, like there's no control, Like we truly could kind of say anything when we're which is really frightening in some ways. But it's it's the energy that comes from live television that doesn't exist anywhere else.

00:48:02
Speaker 12: No doubt, no backspace, no editor. You just got to do it. You can't screw it. But the pursuit of the perfect game is what inspires me. I still think there's a perfect game out there. Now, if you do pitch a perfect game, let's see another partner.

00:48:19
Speaker 3: That's good. So now I'm nervous.

00:48:21
Speaker 12: Now I'm going to be nervous, and now I'm giving up on the perfect game. So it's a fun super Bowl week with Chris.

00:48:26
Speaker 3: It really is. Don't screw it up.

00:48:28
Speaker 2: We're all counting on you, okay, And I'm going to try to listen to a little bit of it, just a little bit, yeah, just a little bit.

00:48:34
Speaker 3: Thank you guys, Thank you, pal with you, thank you Chris Guys,
