00:00:08 Speaker 1: Hello, my loves It is Lala Kent. Welcome to the Give Them La La with Jessica Podcast. Today. 00:00:16 Speaker 2: Why every one, long time no talk? 00:00:19 Speaker 1: So today I have a very special guest. She goes by the name of Britney cart Right, yay, Brittany, We're gonna have a mommy podcast because our babies are. I think they're like three weeks apart, are they? Yeah, they're three weeks apart, and Ocean and Summer Moon are six weeks apart. 00:00:35 Speaker 2: So close. 00:00:37 Speaker 1: Yeah, but it's so crazy because when they're at this stage, like, for example, you look at Hartford and even though Hertford, I think, is like two months older than Ocean, it seems like they're like one hundred years apart. 00:00:50 Speaker 2: Yeah, they're you know, they all look so different. 00:00:53 Speaker 1: They all look so different. They're like the tiniest little things where you know, Hartford's crawling around and she's like a baby. Yeah. I just am curious, like, what is Cruise doing? Right? 00:01:04 Speaker 2: You know, are any of the babies walking yet? 00:01:06 Speaker 1: No? None of them are walking? Okay, and Ocean was PREMI so you know, we still do tummy time and I'm trying to teach her how to crawl and get her strength. She is very petite, so like her legs don't even touch the ground when I put her in her walker. Where you look at Cruise and Hartford, Yeah, and they're in their little walkers and they're like hauling ass around the house. Stop. She is so tiny, She's a peanut. 00:01:32 Speaker 2: Her legs don't touch My legs don't touch either of you, guys. I'm five to one when I sit on couches or stuff like that, so we so I know how ocean feels. 00:01:41 Speaker 1: That's fun funny. So I'm excited for today's podcast. I obviously want to acknowledge that I'm sure everyone knows what is going on between Randall and myself and just in my personal life, there will be a time where I feel come sable enough to open up and share. Today is definitely not that day. Oh It's been a lot. I'm going through a lot, and I just at this point in time, want to protect my child. She's my number one priority. And I know what I signed up for. I'm on a reality television show, but in this moment, it's not about me. It is about my kid, and privacy is the only thing that I'm looking for for her. Sake. And with that being said, I'm kind of putting my steps into play that. You know, we work on an AA, which is one day at a time, sometimes it's one minute at a time, and that doesn't just apply to me with drinking, which surprisingly, even with everything that's going on, I feel like I've never felt stronger in my sobriety. 00:03:02 Speaker 2: Yeah, you said that to me a couple of weeks ago, he said, I've never felt I've never felt less like I want to pick up a drink, or like I feel so strong in my sobriety. Yeah, and I think that's amazing. 00:03:18 Speaker 1: Thank you. 00:03:19 Speaker 3: Yeah. 00:03:19 Speaker 1: And with what's going on, you know, obviously my sponsor we communicate all the time, but she said, during this time, I need you to call me at least once every single day. You know, I'm three years in, so at the beginning I was talking to my sponsor daily, hourly, secondly, you know, but three years in, it's like I'm tough. I communicate with her often, I still do my AA meetings, but during this time, she said, I need you to call me at least once a day. Done. I do that And I told her, I was like, it's so weird because I feel strong in my sobriety as it is, but with everything that's going on, like, I don't know, how is the last thing on my mind? Right, you know? And she said to me, and I get chilled. She goes, that's because you have God with you. I was like, oh my god, this is so crazy that, like, you know. 00:04:11 Speaker 2: Yeah, one hundred percent. And I also think it's proof that if you put in the work. Look at you, Like you said three years ago, you had to talk to your sponsor every day now, you know, or every hour, every minute. Now you talk to her once a day because she asks. But like, you put in the work, you learned different tools from programs, different things to help with your sobriety, and then something big happens in your life. And some people who are sober it might have been, you know, challenging for them, but this you put in the work and you're like, I'm great, I'm writhing in my sobriety. And I think that's amazing for people to hear. If you put in the work and you do the work, then then it pays. 00:04:51 Speaker 1: Off, right, Yeah, Because sobriety is not an easy path to choose, and it takes a village to keep someone sobern. You know, I've always said I sit in rooms with so many inspiring people who have, you know, twenty plus years of sobriety under their belt. But I always say because people will come to me and they'll say, I've only been sober for thirty days, And it's like, but we're all in the same boat, because whether you have twenty five years or you have five days, we're all one slip up away from being back to square one? Right? 00:05:24 Speaker 2: Does that? No? One undred percent? Yeah, And that's like, I mean, I I don't know. I can't relate because I'm not in the program. I'm not sober. I don't you're enormy. 00:05:36 Speaker 1: No, your enormy. 00:05:38 Speaker 2: I mean ask my college friends. I don't know if they say that, No, but I just don't struggle with that. You know, we all have our own personal struggles. But I think it's incredible. I have family members who are in the program. I have people I love and respect who are in the program and watching you, and it's just it just brings a whole different level of respect for all of you who deal with that. 00:06:00 Speaker 1: Truly, it's incredible. I have so many people that I look at in the program that I see on my meetings and I'm like, you're a fucking badass. Yeah. 00:06:08 Speaker 2: And speaking of fucking badasses, I just want to remind you, you guys, how lucky you are. Whoever is listening to this and loves Lalla. I want to say, amazing choice because when I first started working for Lalla, I told her in the interview, I said, you know, my parents have always told me surround yourself with people who inspire you. And I knew, of course, I knew who Lala Kent was, and I was. 00:06:34 Speaker 1: Like, she's awesome. 00:06:35 Speaker 2: She's a reality star, but she's taking her platform and she's becoming a businesswoman and she's killing it. And right now, I could have never guessed that Laala would inspire me as much as she has up to this point. And these past just a couple weeks watching Lalla be the strong, badass woman she is, I've learned more about just like strong female empowerment in the past couple of weeks watching Laala just be the badass that she is that I have in most of my life. 00:07:09 Speaker 1: Wow, Jess, that is really thank you for me. No, you're a badass, You're a fucking soldier. There's something that changes in you when it's like you're no longer you know. I know a lot of badass women, but there's nothing like a badass woman who is a mother. I've seen that. 00:07:29 Speaker 2: Laala and her mom Mama bears. 00:07:32 Speaker 1: Well, it's like like it's amazing. Well, now you know what your mo Well, now I know you'll one day see what your mom feels for you when you give birth. Yes, for me, Now you know, my mom said the other day, Ocean loves being with you. Look how happy she is. And I said, I get it because I love being with you and I'm so happy with you. So I can imagine what she feels because I feel it. 00:07:53 Speaker 3: For my own mom. 00:07:54 Speaker 2: I know an ocean smile and laugh is so cute. That like, when I want to see her smile and laugh, I'm like, Laala, talk to her because it's the cutest thing. And she lights up when she sees Lala and Chee Chee, which is Lala's mom. 00:08:05 Speaker 1: She's just everything she was What did you do for Halloween? What? 00:08:09 Speaker 2: Oh my god, did you do anything wild Halloween? 00:08:13 Speaker 1: Over here, she's already working her ass off, so I'm sure she was not getting buck wild. 00:08:18 Speaker 2: So what I used to dress up a lot. Now it's just like the thought of dressing up and putting in the effort was just like too much for me. My boyfriend Kyle and I we watched scary movies. Okay, we made homemade pizza, We got a ton of candy, and that's what we did. We sat home and I got to tell you it was the best, It was the greatest. But I want to know what you did for Halloween? 00:08:45 Speaker 1: Did you dress? Oh? Fun facts? Okay that I have not dressed up for Halloween since I was twenty one. 00:08:52 Speaker 2: Oh my god. 00:08:52 Speaker 1: I went to my older brother's house for Halloween party and I wore an Eminem costume that I got in elementary school. 00:09:00 Speaker 2: Wait, like Eminem, like not the rapper. 00:09:02 Speaker 1: Like a blue Eminem. 00:09:05 Speaker 2: Okay, yes, because I was a great Eminem when I was Twelve's amazing. 00:09:11 Speaker 1: I was the blue Eminem. That was the last time I dressed up. And we just stayed so where I am right now, we call it the treehouse. We stayed at the treehouse. Me Oh Gigi, my sponsor, came over. We ordered a pizza and we watched hocus Pocus and talked and that was it. 00:09:31 Speaker 2: Did ocean dress up. 00:09:33 Speaker 1: Well, my mom claims she dressed up, but it was like I ordered her this baby Yoda costume and it never came. Oh no, So I had this zebra beanie like it's like a zebra head that I just put on her with a striped onesie and I'm like, you're a zebra here it is. 00:09:48 Speaker 3: That's so cute, I know. 00:09:50 Speaker 1: Can I tell you like Jackson Britney's costume. 00:09:54 Speaker 2: I didn't even see it. 00:09:55 Speaker 1: Wait, were the Greatest Showman? Stop? 00:09:58 Speaker 2: I'm actually is it on Insta? 00:10:00 Speaker 1: Yes? And Brittany put the she was the bearded woman. They looked so fantastic. I couldn't even believe it. 00:10:06 Speaker 2: Wait, I'm looking it up on Instagram right now. Oh my gosh, it's so good. All three of them Greatest Showman. It looks amazing. 00:10:17 Speaker 1: They're they kill it now. 00:10:19 Speaker 2: They killed it. 00:10:20 Speaker 1: Stossy and Bow and Hartford looked awesome. 00:10:24 Speaker 2: What were they? 00:10:24 Speaker 1: I don't know. 00:10:27 Speaker 3: He done? 00:10:28 Speaker 2: Saucy and Sacy she's like known to be. 00:10:30 Speaker 1: She love Halloween right. Yeah, last year when she was pregnant, she put this like it looked like a rip in her stomach with a little newborn baby coming out of it and it was phenomenal. 00:10:41 Speaker 2: That's amazing. Okay, So Stossy, yeah, what is she? Of the ghosts that haunt this house? Phineas Clark, his loving wife Mildred, and their daughter Adelaide departed this life on the thirty first of October. So I feel like the causes of their death are own known. I don't know, but. 00:11:00 Speaker 1: I feel like they're ghosts that haunt the house. 00:11:02 Speaker 2: Okay, that's what that is. 00:11:03 Speaker 1: But like, what wait, do you think someone died in their house and that's what they're doing? Is this their house? That's their house? Oh it is? Yeo, and Stossy's morbid like that. 00:11:13 Speaker 2: Of course Stossy would live in a haunted house. I love that. 00:11:18 Speaker 1: So curious to know the backstory. But don't they look great? They look incredible. They look so good. 00:11:23 Speaker 2: They should have done a photo shoot or something like a legit photoshoot. These are amazing. 00:11:28 Speaker 1: Every time we film vander Pump Rules, even when we're not filming, my friends slash cast members love a theme. Yeah, I cannot get down with it. 00:11:36 Speaker 2: You don't, you can't? Oh no, what is the what is your Is there a halloween costume that you've warned that You're like, this was amazing, Like I did it, I did Halloween? Write or have you never felt that way? 00:11:49 Speaker 1: Now? Never? There was one time for monster mash in high school. Yeah, Skyline the high school I went to, and Cottonwood High School, which had the finest men ever at that Yes, con One, we're so fine. And we had our dance together for some reason. Oh fun, and I dressed up as like a provocative Harry Potter and I felt so cute. 00:12:14 Speaker 2: We gotta find this photos. 00:12:16 Speaker 1: Oh, don't worry. I've kept them because I'm like, you look so cute. 00:12:19 Speaker 2: I'm gonna try and convince Laa to post them on her social stone. 00:12:22 Speaker 1: Be fine them. My mom's gonna have to find it. But there I felt so cute. I love that. Yeah, I love that. 00:12:29 Speaker 2: So anyway, I think that's a lot of fun. I'm glad that you guys had a great Halloween. I can't believe we pretty much did the same thing. Actually, I can believe we're very similar. Anyway, So before we move on to this fun episode with Britt, I just want to know how are you feeling in this very moment. 00:12:47 Speaker 1: Oh, in this very moment, I feel strong, I feel hopeful, and I feel like it's weird jes because I, for the first time, have no idea what my future holds. I don't know what each day is going to look like. And for a really long time, I've had a schedule where everything is planned out. My future was ahead of me, and I was like, this is the plan. And I'm kind of just letting the universe take control of my life and place me where I need to be. I'm not questioning anything. I used to say my prayers every night and randomly on drives. I would just fill the need. I know most of you are like la la saying prayers. I grew up saying prayers with my dad, like it was just our nightly thing. I pray every single night. I'm praying often, and I'm just putting it in God's hands. Like I'm not questioning a single thing. Wherever I end up, I know that's where I'm supposed to be. 00:14:04 Speaker 2: I love that. I love that. It's beautiful. You're glowing. The treehouse has like the most amazing energy. 00:14:09 Speaker 1: Do you want to know why I'm glowing? 00:14:11 Speaker 3: Why? 00:14:12 Speaker 1: Because my sheet masks came out forgive them while of skin. Oh my gosh, And it's pretty much the goat. 00:14:18 Speaker 2: It is actually amazing, you guys. I got a little taste of it. I may or may not get some things ahead of time, and it's the greatest. 00:14:26 Speaker 1: It's so good. It's called stay Calm, And internally when I first tried it, I was like, I am not calm, but I'll be damned if my skin doesn't work calm. 00:14:38 Speaker 2: Yes, well, congrats, it's exciting. 00:14:40 Speaker 1: Thank you, my love. So before we bring our guests out, Brittany cart Right, We're going to cut to a short break and we will be right back. We are back with one of my best friends in the whole world, Britney cart Right. You had the best costume ever for Halloween. 00:14:59 Speaker 2: Though. 00:14:59 Speaker 1: Let's just like start off by saying. 00:15:00 Speaker 3: That, thanks so much. 00:15:01 Speaker 4: Absolutely love Halloween, and it was our first little family costume, so I went all out. 00:15:07 Speaker 1: You always go all out there. Oh. I love it. When I see pictures of your house during the holidays, I want to live there. 00:15:15 Speaker 3: Oh, Christmas is like ten times Halloween. 00:15:19 Speaker 4: It's like a winter wonderland in my house, and I freaking love it. 00:15:22 Speaker 1: I love it too. So we all of the mommies are in a group chat and we were sending our costume ideas, and you had you had a couple that you had sent, but you didn't go with either of those. 00:15:35 Speaker 3: Yeah. 00:15:35 Speaker 4: I was wanting to do like ace Ventura Pet Detective because with a little too too, because cruises hair is so long. I wanted to do that. I wanted to do like Danny and Sandy and you know, like a little tea Bird yea, But I feel like everybody does those, so I wanted to do something different and hardly anybody does, like, you know, like Bearded Lady and the strong Man. 00:15:55 Speaker 1: And I had Nice Strower's. 00:15:56 Speaker 3: Assistant just what we were calling Jackson's costume. 00:15:59 Speaker 1: It was beyond amazing. Hey, you were the hottest bearded lady I'd ever seen in my life. 00:16:04 Speaker 3: I'm so hot. I was like, oh my god, this beard covers my double chin. I love it. I was like, I love this beard. 00:16:12 Speaker 1: I looked amazing. And I've actually never seen anyone dress up as the greatest showman. 00:16:16 Speaker 3: Yeah I know I haven't either, so that's why. 00:16:19 Speaker 4: And I thought about just being like a ring master or something, but I was like, that's so basic. 00:16:22 Speaker 3: I gotta turn it up. 00:16:23 Speaker 1: And not you gotta go to beard on exactly. 00:16:26 Speaker 3: I loved it. 00:16:26 Speaker 1: How did you put that beard on? 00:16:28 Speaker 4: I use like, what's it called Halloween gummy glue or something, so it actually is for your face. So I glued put glue on my face and on the beard and stuck it to me and it stayed on all night long. 00:16:40 Speaker 1: I know, I was taking a shot. 00:16:42 Speaker 3: To take a shot with the beard on. It is really weird? 00:16:44 Speaker 1: Wait is it really? Yeah? 00:16:45 Speaker 3: And I brushed my teeth with that beard on and everything. I was like, I don't know. 00:16:49 Speaker 4: No, Like before I went to the party, I brushed my teeth and I was like, how do men do this? 00:16:56 Speaker 3: It was not I mean, that's the only part that was kind of weird. 00:16:58 Speaker 1: I know, I mean, and it was intense. It wasn't just like a little facial. 00:17:02 Speaker 4: Hair, Oh no, it was a full on beard like it. I think it might have been human hair. 00:17:05 Speaker 3: She was real. 00:17:08 Speaker 1: And cruise. You put on a little mustache. 00:17:10 Speaker 4: Oh yeah, wait, so he wore that for two hours before he even started. 00:17:14 Speaker 3: No, it was a little stick on mustache. 00:17:16 Speaker 1: Okay, so we wore it for two hours. 00:17:17 Speaker 4: He wore it for two hours at the party and didn't even touch it. And then I had like back so I bought a whole pack of mustaches, and if he didn't want to wear it, or if he took it off, I could put another one on. But he's kept it on for over two hours. So I was just like, you did. 00:17:29 Speaker 3: So good, I'm not gonna put it back on. 00:17:31 Speaker 1: Okay, so cute. I know Jackson Brittany really well and I've spent a lot of time with them and Cruisy. And Cruisy is the biggest dream baby in the entire world. I've never seen anything like it. 00:17:45 Speaker 3: Oh thank you. He is a little sweetheart. 00:17:47 Speaker 1: He's so sweet, he's so chill. He can he literally will sit there for hours entertaining himself. 00:17:54 Speaker 4: Oh yeah, he entertains himself so good. He sits there and plays. I mean, we got super lucky. I thought we were either gonna have like a terror child or I don't know, right with me and Jack's together, but he is just oh yeah, but he has a little doll baby. I always hear that the second one, though, might be a terror So we'll see. 00:18:11 Speaker 1: Wait, second baby, when do you think that you're ready for that? 00:18:13 Speaker 4: Well, we always have said, like when Cruiz was about a year old, I wanted to start trying at least because here goes. 00:18:19 Speaker 3: It might not happen as easy as it did this time. 00:18:22 Speaker 4: I mean, I've heard a lot of people have a hard time getting pregnant the second time around. So we've always said that he's already over six months now, it's like time is flying. I still want too soon, but we'll see if it's going to be a year, if it'll be a little bit later. But I definitely want them to be close in age. 00:18:37 Speaker 3: I get that. Yeah. 00:18:38 Speaker 4: I want them to grow up and be friends and be able to be in the same school. So you're not going to twenty five different schools. 00:18:44 Speaker 1: That's like a lot, no, right, like keep them. I think Easton and I are like a couple of years and some change. Yeah, and it's perfect. 00:18:51 Speaker 4: See, that's perfect. My brother and sister were seven and six years older than me, and we're close now. But like growing up, like I stole on my sister's clothes. She couldn't stand me. Yeah, I was annoying as hill to her. So yeah, I can imagine exactly. 00:19:03 Speaker 3: So I want my kids to be a little closer at age for sure. 00:19:06 Speaker 1: Whose idea was the greatest Showman costume? 00:19:09 Speaker 3: Minda? Obviously Jackson was like, do I have to wear a costume? 00:19:13 Speaker 4: So I try to make his easy and then he kind of got into it at the end. 00:19:17 Speaker 3: He was wanting more blood, more this and that. 00:19:18 Speaker 4: I was like, you didn't even want to dress up, and now you're asking me if I have blood the day of Halloween. 00:19:23 Speaker 1: I don't relate to that though, because I don't know if you remember Sandoval's party like a few years ago where he came in on stilts. 00:19:32 Speaker 3: Was that the extra party? Yes? Yes, yes, that was like a cowboy extra cowboy or a cowgirl. Yeah. 00:19:37 Speaker 1: I hate dressing up. The last time I dressed up for Halloween, I was telling my listeners, I dressed up as a blue eminem when I was twenty one. But I did dress up for his for Santa Bal's costume party, and I remember being like so put out by it, and then once it started, I was like, ooh, I'm going to do this. 00:19:55 Speaker 3: Oh wait, you wore that like slowly dress. 00:19:57 Speaker 1: It was nothing. It was a pink too to it looks cute. No, yeah, like it was not a big deal. It was hot though, it was just like you know, like I enjoyed it. 00:20:06 Speaker 3: I say, once you get into it. It makes it fun. 00:20:09 Speaker 4: Afterwards, Jack's was like, Oh, I'm definitely gonna get into this now that we have a son. I was like, see, I told you, if you just start doing it, you feel so fun and get into it. 00:20:19 Speaker 1: I have a special place in my heart for Jack's Taylor. I know he's been so kind yes, and such a cute dad with Cruise. I mean they're like little they have like little boys times. Oh yeah, little besties, like when you go out if you have like girl time. 00:20:34 Speaker 3: Mm hm. 00:20:35 Speaker 1: The night we went out for Janet's, our friend Janet got engaged and he went out, but he videoed and was like, mom's gone, we got sweet. 00:20:44 Speaker 3: Potatoes, we got milk. 00:20:47 Speaker 2: He's so cute. 00:20:47 Speaker 3: Oh, he's so good with him. 00:20:49 Speaker 4: And whenever I was pregnant, and even like on the show with a Bunch of Jacks would always say, when she has a baby, I'm not gonna take care of him by myself until he's at least six months old. Like he was so scared. But I went to Vegas for my friend's bacherette party for two nights. I came home a night early because I missed the baby too much. But I like didn't worry about cruise at all. 00:21:07 Speaker 3: Of course. I mean I still facetimed every two hours. 00:21:10 Speaker 4: Right, But that's just because I missed the baby, not because I didn't trust Jack. 00:21:13 Speaker 3: So he's doing amazing. I'm super proud of him. 00:21:16 Speaker 1: It's amazing. And of course you would miss your baby. I had. I had to go to New York, and I was it was like torture. Every time I facetimed ocean, I was like sobbing my eyes out. Yeah, you know, and then they start reaching for the phone and you can tell that they're reaching for the phone. 00:21:29 Speaker 3: What's so sweet? 00:21:31 Speaker 1: It's so sweet, such as love our little baby so much. I you said that cruise is already what six months, and well, he'll be he'll be seven months on the twelfth, on the twelve. 00:21:42 Speaker 4: Yeah, so their ocean and cruise are like almost exactly a month apart, a little less than a couple of days short of a month. 00:21:47 Speaker 1: Yeah, And cruise, you said at a six month appointment was twenty two pounds. 00:21:54 Speaker 3: Twenty two pounds and almost thirty nine inches long. 00:21:58 Speaker 1: Wait, thirty nine twenty nine scared? I was like, sorry, nine twenty nine, Well, because I see you at the airport, on the Instagram and you have him stropped to the front of you. 00:22:11 Speaker 4: Oh, that is a much easier way to travel. I'm getting better and better at traveling every time. But traveling alone with your baby, you have to bring those little baby carriers. 00:22:20 Speaker 3: It is everything you're so bad at. 00:22:22 Speaker 1: Oh. 00:22:22 Speaker 3: It makes the biggest. 00:22:23 Speaker 4: Difference in trying to have your stroller and put in a stroller bag by yourself with a baby. 00:22:28 Speaker 1: It's at work. It's like I can imagine. 00:22:31 Speaker 3: But I'm getting better coming a pro pro traveler. 00:22:34 Speaker 1: How is he on plan? 00:22:36 Speaker 3: He's amazing. 00:22:37 Speaker 4: Like he cried for let's say it was a five almost five hour flight. He cried for maybe ten minutes and then slept for four. 00:22:47 Speaker 3: Hours three hours. 00:22:48 Speaker 4: You're a damn line the entire time he probably cried or ten minutes total. So Kentucky, Yeah, he was like he was so good. 00:22:55 Speaker 1: You know, Ocean, he's gonna be great. He's so sweet. Ocean was good too, though, whenever Ocean, but that's what I mean. Ocean is a great baby. She is so for me to say, like cruises like cruises a more chill baby than Ocean, and Ocean's like chill as it gets. 00:23:12 Speaker 3: She is chill. 00:23:13 Speaker 1: She a diva though, well she had to catch up where she was a little early, so her little bailly and stuff had to catch up. But she is like so chill she is, and she loves her bouncer. Yeah, you know the swing thing is I got too nervous about the one you hang in the doorway. Yeah, God forbid, I put it on because I build everything that I get, and so you built it too. I know. That's why I can talk to you about it. But all like google videos on how to build, like the high chair. I think we have the same high chair from Amazon, and I google how to build it, and it's like a man like it's like this dad, that's showing you, And I'm like, what is this? Oh? 00:23:48 Speaker 3: I won't even let Jack touch any of that stuff. 00:23:51 Speaker 1: He does it too quickly. 00:23:52 Speaker 4: No, he doesn't read the instructions. He just actually he doesn't even want to try. He knows that I'll do it, so he's just like, uh, here is this thing, Brittany. I'm like, okay, I. 00:24:01 Speaker 1: Like your pictures. You do all of them. 00:24:03 Speaker 3: Oh yeah. 00:24:03 Speaker 4: If I get focused on something, I have to finish it too. Like I can't just like start a project and like somebody be like, well I can help you with that. 00:24:09 Speaker 1: I'd rather just like do myself because you know how it's gonna exactly. 00:24:13 Speaker 3: I'm not trying to have you lose the scruise. 00:24:16 Speaker 1: That's the biggest thing exactly. 00:24:20 Speaker 4: But yeah, Chris doesn't have one of those little swings. I saw hers downstairs and it was like, super cool. 00:24:27 Speaker 1: You have to get in one. He'll have the best time. 00:24:29 Speaker 3: He has a bounty seat, but not like a swing like that. 00:24:32 Speaker 1: I saw it on Sheena's Instagram store and was like, I have to have that where she sits there for hours and really, oh my god, you try to take her out of it, She's squealed. 00:24:42 Speaker 3: Maybe I should get one. 00:24:43 Speaker 1: Oh, Cruise would be hopping around like a chance. 00:24:46 Speaker 4: He loves his walker. He just walks everywhere. It's insane to see that. 00:24:50 Speaker 1: Okay, so when you when I see videos of Hartford and Cruise in there, those big walkers so cute. I don't mean that your babies look like this guy, but the way they move, you know, mister water noos on monsters inc. 00:25:08 Speaker 3: Yes, yes, yes, that is like a perfect example. 00:25:12 Speaker 4: Me and Jack's always say he looks like the floats that are at like car salesman, you know, like the big tall ones that go in the air, that go in the waves or whatever. 00:25:21 Speaker 3: That is what we always said. But mister Walters, it's hilarious. 00:25:24 Speaker 1: They look like that, like that's how they move around. 00:25:27 Speaker 3: He's just smiling, like moving his arms back and forth. It is so cute. 00:25:31 Speaker 1: What is the biggest challenge with being a mom that you and it could be anything like once you had Cruise, what was the biggest challenge that you were like, I did not expect this at all. 00:25:42 Speaker 4: Oh goodness, I mean there's so much that you don't people parents don't really talk about that, you know, you know, like after having the baby, especially like the postpartum stuff like that was a lot different than what I thought it was gonna be, Like the gross stuff. 00:25:58 Speaker 1: Like what do you like the likewy yes, like how sore you are and how long you have bleed for and all that stuff, like it was tough, and then feeding is hard too, Like I kudos to you for still being able to do it. 00:26:10 Speaker 4: I mean I tried so hard and I dried up after close to eight weeks. 00:26:16 Speaker 1: I I always said, don't be married to the idea of breastfeeding. Yeah, because you you may not be able, it may not be an option. It always bothered me when people asked are you going to breastfeed, because like, well, I would like to. I hope that I can, but that's not something that is easy to do exactly. 00:26:37 Speaker 4: I went through like I was kind of sad and stuff that I couldn't do that for my baby and have that bonding time after. But I'm so glad that I got the eight weeks in. At least he got like all the classroom all that good stuff. But that's a full time job. So good job for the mamas who keep it going. 00:26:52 Speaker 3: Especially for a whole year. 00:26:53 Speaker 1: Shoo oh, it's a lot of work because I'll tell you what, bread the full time that she has those little dagger teeth. 00:26:59 Speaker 3: Oh, I bet that's hard, so bad. 00:27:01 Speaker 1: No, it's no joke. And she laughs about it. Oh you know. 00:27:05 Speaker 3: The little personality is coming out. 00:27:07 Speaker 2: It's so cute. 00:27:07 Speaker 1: Yeah, And she grabs my nipples and like plays with them as if they're like chew toys. And I'm like, this is like not because there's those teeth are rigid because they got to break through the Oh yeah, I like fucking chan saws. 00:27:23 Speaker 4: Oh gosh, I can't even imagine. Crais doesn't have any yet, but he's close. But they haven't broken through. 00:27:28 Speaker 1: Oh, they haven't broken through yet. No, well, trust me, they like you see a little bit of white one day and all of the sudden, it's like they've got full on teeth. 00:27:38 Speaker 3: Oh my gosh. Yeah, and I can't imagine breastfitting with that, but good job. 00:27:42 Speaker 1: We'll send you. Thank you. My nipples are well prepared for any type of fun. 00:27:47 Speaker 3: There you go. 00:27:48 Speaker 1: You know. I'm with Britney Cartwright and we will be right back. Hello, my loves. We are back. We're talking all things ocean and cruise and just like being mom's which is still very weird to Is it weird, Brittany for you, Oh, it is weird. 00:28:06 Speaker 4: It's weird that they're with us forever, you know, like I thought you felt the whole time. I'm like, yeah, he's with me forever, Like I don't have to give him back to anybody like mine. 00:28:15 Speaker 1: He's yours. That's how I feel like when I missed and when I look at ocean, I'm like, what, like what did I do to like deserve all as my baby people serve? 00:28:26 Speaker 3: Going we deserve good babies. 00:28:28 Speaker 1: Deserve good babies. We were talking earlier about Ocean and her tummy having to catch up. They took Ocean three weeks early because her stomach wasn't growing. The doctor was concerned. They took her out. But now she's fine. But I had to deal with a lot of collic in the beginning, and that's hard. Oh my god, that's very hard. 00:28:48 Speaker 4: I know a lot of like my cousin's little baby had colic and it was just non stop crying and stuff. So I know how hard that can be. I'm very glad that I didn't have to deal with that, but I know it's hard on you and anybody else that has to go through that. 00:29:00 Speaker 1: But you had to deal with being sick, your entire price exactly. 00:29:03 Speaker 4: I think that's why maybe his stomach wasn't called like gigas Mon was the entire pregnancy. 00:29:08 Speaker 1: Yeah, No, he were so sick. I had never seen anything like that. Yeah, And with Ocean, I remember calling her pediatrician. I was like, she won't stop crying, Like, and I go to a doctor or a pediatrician that practices Eastern and Western medicine. So he like gave me something to give to her. He's like, but how long has she been crying? I'm like like forty five minutes straight, and he started laughing and he goes call me when she's been crying for three hours and then we'll do something. I was like three hours. 00:29:36 Speaker 3: My god. 00:29:37 Speaker 4: It's like that friend's episode where they're like rock in the baby because I woke her up, remember, yes, and they're like, what is going on? 00:29:44 Speaker 3: What did I do? 00:29:45 Speaker 1: What did you do? And every time she was sleeping, I would tell people like, do not fucking walk in the room. Yeah, speak, don't move a muscle, because when she wakes up, like her presence will be known for a very long time. 00:30:00 Speaker 3: So cute. 00:30:01 Speaker 1: It was so intense. 00:30:02 Speaker 4: But now she doesn't even do that anymore. I feel like she's she's good right, like her stomach is caught up. 00:30:07 Speaker 1: And stomach is caught up. She's still a little peanut. I'm sorry today. Yeah, she's adorable and she didn't care she's gone. It's so funny because my mom will say she's got so much hair, and I'm like, compared to what she had when she was born, yes, yes, but when you see my friend's babies. 00:30:23 Speaker 3: Cruises like a little fobbio. I mean it is growing so fast. 00:30:27 Speaker 1: The man bun that you put cruise. 00:30:30 Speaker 3: Oh, I loved the little man bun. 00:30:32 Speaker 1: Do you do that often? No? 00:30:33 Speaker 4: I mean honestly, that was the first day and I was just like kind of testing it out. But his hair is starting to get into his eyes, so I'm trying to figure out different ways because I'm not cutting his hair before he's a year old. 00:30:42 Speaker 3: That absolutely not happening. 00:30:44 Speaker 4: I think little boys are so key with long hair under their little baseball caps or whatever. 00:30:48 Speaker 3: I think it's adorable. 00:30:49 Speaker 1: And he's a little California baby. We know you're from Kentucky, but he's a little California exactly. 00:30:54 Speaker 3: He's born here. 00:30:54 Speaker 4: He was made in Kentucky, but he was born in Hell. Like so, I don't know, I just like it did herve it in so fast? Oh yeah, he didn't touch it at all the entire day, and then like later on we took it down because I didn't you know how sometimes if you were a ponytail, like it starts hurting your head. 00:31:09 Speaker 3: Yeah, his was loose, but I was getting a little worried, so I took it down. 00:31:12 Speaker 1: Oh I love that, But ocean does this thing with her bows now where she becomes the incredible hulk and she grabs it and rips it down and the face she makes is like like I bo it off my head. 00:31:26 Speaker 4: I love Ocean's eyebrows because it's the best she had, like the best eyebrows and the no hair for the longest time. 00:31:31 Speaker 3: It was a little man. 00:31:33 Speaker 1: You just say, ever swear best eyebrolls and you are working your ass off in the gym ring. 00:31:40 Speaker 3: I'm trying four days a week with my girl Meghan. 00:31:43 Speaker 1: So you know your trainer Meghan from How did you meet her? 00:31:46 Speaker 4: So? Meghan is from Kentucky as well. We used to work together at Hooters of Lexington, so we worked together for like a couple of years at Hooters. 00:31:54 Speaker 3: She actually moved to la before me. 00:31:56 Speaker 4: Okay, we always kept in touch and stuff, and then whenever I moved here, we started like meeting up and hanging out and stuff again. 00:32:01 Speaker 3: And she's just an amazing trainer. 00:32:03 Speaker 4: So it's awesome because we get to have fun and laugh and stuff while I'm training. 00:32:07 Speaker 1: Right, Like, you feel like it's a little bit of a therapy. 00:32:09 Speaker 4: Yeah, oh yeah, for sure, because they can like in the car something you'll be like dreading going to the gym or something. You know, it's sometimes hard to get going, and then as soon as I get there, she's just so like nice and cheerful and you know, a piece of home. 00:32:22 Speaker 3: Yeah, she's like the best. 00:32:23 Speaker 1: So I've never seen anything Like I used to work out with my trainer Jenna, and I'm telling like, whatever you are doing, I've never seen that shit before. What I see on your Instagram. I'm like, what even is this contraption? 00:32:39 Speaker 3: Oh it's insane. 00:32:40 Speaker 4: I was doing sled pushes today, like where they put the weights on top and it is so hard to do, but like, my legs are going to kill me tomorrow, absolutely kill me. But she knows what she's doing. I've never and I was like, wow, Megan, you actually. 00:32:53 Speaker 3: Know what you're doing, what you're talking about. 00:32:55 Speaker 4: She's like, yeah, Brittany, I'm not just like an Instagram trainer. 00:32:57 Speaker 3: Likes a lot of people in La are just like Instagram. 00:33:00 Speaker 1: Everyone's on Instagram something. 00:33:01 Speaker 4: Yes, but she just knows everything. Like I was like, hey, this is this muscle here is hurting and she knows every move to do to stop it and what's connected to this. 00:33:11 Speaker 3: She's awesome And how long have you been working out with. 00:33:14 Speaker 4: Her since like right after I got so how long do we I think we have to wait six weeks after the baby, So I think I started around like eight weeks because I was still a little too sore to work out. 00:33:25 Speaker 1: I can't imagine why you'd be sore pushing a human out of you. 00:33:29 Speaker 3: I was still a little too sore. 00:33:30 Speaker 4: So I think since cruises, like eight weeks I've been working with her. And then I was going all to September, so I missed that month. But other than that, times. 00:33:37 Speaker 3: A week, you look so good work. 00:33:40 Speaker 4: In process or process work in progress. 00:33:44 Speaker 3: But I'm proud of myself, for sure. 00:33:45 Speaker 1: You should be. And I feel like that is another thing that's really hard for women is like no one's pregnancy looks the same. Oh yeah, and my mom said when she was pregnant with me, she didn't gain much weight and it was easy to lose it. But with Easton, she said that that was much more difficult. Things had like settled in. Yeah, and so it doesn't like each pregnancy could be different. 00:34:09 Speaker 4: I know I'm hoping if I get pregnant again, I'm not gonna be so sick, you know, but just never know. I mean my mom was like you, She had all three babies and went right back down to a little pencil right afterwards. 00:34:19 Speaker 3: I was like wishing that was giving me my experience, but it was not. 00:34:22 Speaker 4: But you never know, maybe with the next one, I mean, hopefully I'll be able to continue working out. 00:34:27 Speaker 3: This time, I just thought, too sick last time. 00:34:29 Speaker 1: Well you were, you were pretty much on bed rights. Oh, because of how sick you were. Yeah, and it was all day. 00:34:34 Speaker 4: All day long, mainly in the morning and at night, but sometimes just all day long. 00:34:39 Speaker 1: And what did you crave when you were pregnant? Uh? 00:34:43 Speaker 4: At the end, I mainly craved fruit, and I craved a lot of avocado toast. And I don't know, that's just like kind of at the end is whenever I started noticing cravings like towards the beginning and stuff, I don't really feel like I noticed anything different. But at the end, I wanted fruit and I wanted those like what do they call it, I'm gonna embarrass myself, asa e bowls or bowls. 00:35:04 Speaker 3: I used to call them a cowboles. She from Kentucky, a kai bowl. Yeah, I craved all that stuff. What did you cry? I don't remember you craving much. 00:35:16 Speaker 1: I felt super nauseated at the beginning. In the first three months, I didn't ever get sick like you and I. I think I may have tossed my cookies, like maybe twice, but I just felt nauseous, like nothing sounded good, which was shitty because I'm was sitting there thinking, oh, I'm pregnant, me whatever the fuck I want, yes, And then I had no appetite. But then I started craving sushi all the time, and you're not supposed to have sushi. 00:35:41 Speaker 3: So I didn't really I don't remember you craving anything. 00:35:44 Speaker 1: No, I didn't crave anything. Nothing really sounded good. I didn't want any perier, which. 00:35:49 Speaker 3: Is weird, yeah, because you're obsessed with that. 00:35:52 Speaker 1: So mine was like I just like ate whatever I could. When she wasn't growing, the doctor said you must go and like feed yourself, Yeah, until you feel like you're gonna vomit. Yeah. So I was just eating, like or drinking a lot of smoothies. 00:36:06 Speaker 3: Yeah. 00:36:06 Speaker 4: That's like the easiest thing to do whenever you're pregnant, I think, is the smoothies, because like salads and stuff, you're supposed to eat healthy but if you're a nauseous all the time, a salad is the last thing that you want. 00:36:16 Speaker 1: You're trying to be a bunny rabbit. I'm feeling nauseous. 00:36:19 Speaker 4: Trust me, I took advantage of eating whatever I could whenever I could. 00:36:22 Speaker 1: Of course, why wouldn't you. You're pregnant exactly, So baby's got to be eaten good. 00:36:27 Speaker 3: Yeah, and he's doing great. So whatever what. 00:36:31 Speaker 1: Is he doing now that he wasn't doing like last month? Like what are little changes that you've seen in cruise? 00:36:36 Speaker 4: Well, he sits up on his own. Now he's about to start crawling. He goes backwards and stuff. 00:36:42 Speaker 1: That's so cute. 00:36:44 Speaker 3: He can't figure out how to go forwards. 00:36:45 Speaker 4: But he did the same thing with his walker, Like he used to only know how to go backwards in his walker, and now he goes everywhere in his walker. So I think any day now he's going to start crawling. He waves high. That's so cute, and he says dada, which is so annoying because I would did all that hard work. 00:37:00 Speaker 1: Did you work with him? 00:37:01 Speaker 2: No? 00:37:01 Speaker 4: Like me, Like I had to be sick every day and oh yeah, yeah, he says, dad die first, But my doctor even said whenever we write his six month appointment, he was like, now, to be fair, dad, Dad has a lot easier to say than mama. 00:37:16 Speaker 3: So I was like, who I told you? 00:37:18 Speaker 1: Yeah, we buy with. 00:37:19 Speaker 3: Each other and joke around, you know, joke about it and be like he said, Dad, I first. 00:37:22 Speaker 4: But you know I've always encouraged him to say bad day and mama and everything. So I'm proud of him. 00:37:28 Speaker 1: You should be proud of him. My little sweetheart, Ocean is a little bit weaker than Cruisy. She she'll like stand, she'll sit on all fours like, she'll be in position and frall but then you can tell she gets tired, a little wobbly, a little wobbly, and she can't quite figure out how to like maneuver. But she can spin herself in circle. 00:37:46 Speaker 4: Yes, I think it's so cute when they do that and the little Superman bellies looks like they're flying. 00:37:50 Speaker 1: She feels like if she flies, like she use her arms and legs out, then she'll fly to wherever the toy. 00:37:55 Speaker 4: Oh, it is so cute. It's so cute. This stage is awesome, It really is. Every age just like gets better and better. 00:38:01 Speaker 1: I feel like is Cruisy still sleeping next to you or is he in his nursery. 00:38:05 Speaker 3: It's definitely not in his nursery. 00:38:07 Speaker 2: Yeah I can't. 00:38:08 Speaker 4: I'm like, it's so hard to do. But he outgrew his snow the bassinette that we were using. Yeah, so I just put a pack and play beside me, and he is beside me in the pack and play. 00:38:19 Speaker 1: Yeah, you and all of us were so into like all of these pinteresty things. You would give me ideas for what I was, you know, we should do for my nursery, And I'm like a pack and play nurse. That's what Ocean sleeps. 00:38:32 Speaker 3: Oh yeah, it's the best. 00:38:33 Speaker 1: It's her favorite thing. 00:38:35 Speaker 4: Like I'll put him down for naps and stuff in his nursery and I'm gonna start using it more. 00:38:40 Speaker 3: But he's only six months old. One beside me, I am the same way. 00:38:44 Speaker 4: Yeah, I'm just not ready for him to be all the way in his nursery. 00:38:47 Speaker 1: I totally don't blame you at all. I'm the exact same way. 00:38:51 Speaker 4: I do wake up for every single sound and every single peep or movement he makes. 00:38:55 Speaker 1: But I'd rather that than me have to walk all the way across to his nursery, a little baby light check. Actually, do you do the thing where you see that if they're back? Does she does crazy sleep on his back or tummy. 00:39:07 Speaker 4: So he just recently started sleeping on his stomach, and that scared the shit out of me because he always. 00:39:12 Speaker 3: Was a back sleeper, and I was like, oh my god, oh my god, I've heard so much stuff. 00:39:15 Speaker 4: But he's past that six month mark now, so I'm not like so terrified about it. 00:39:18 Speaker 3: He's sleeping on his stomach. 00:39:20 Speaker 4: But the first couple of nights, I don't think I got any sleep because I just stared at him the entire time. 00:39:24 Speaker 3: I was like, why is he on his stomach? Why is he on his stomach? By on his stomach? 00:39:27 Speaker 1: But now he's at the point where like he'll move his hat, yes. 00:39:31 Speaker 4: Exactly exactly. I mean he can like go anywhere in the house if he wants to. He just can't physically crawl yet. So I'm not too I'm not worried about that kind of stuff. An, of course, we're still careful blah blah blah. 00:39:41 Speaker 1: But no, right, you're a parent, You're always gonna be careful. Ocean will only sleep on her stomach. She has no desire to sleep on. 00:39:50 Speaker 3: See Hartford's always been like that too. 00:39:51 Speaker 4: Kuriz will go like back and forth, back and forth, but he just recently started the stomach thing. 00:39:56 Speaker 1: Yeah, it's it's a little intense when they do that. 00:39:58 Speaker 3: Yeah, but now I'm getting more to it. He likes to sleep on his side too, like a grown up. 00:40:02 Speaker 1: It's so these are our little human I know. 00:40:05 Speaker 3: It's so crazy. 00:40:07 Speaker 1: And does he sleep through the night. 00:40:09 Speaker 4: Well, since he's been out of the snow and had to move into the pack and play, he's not doing as good. Like he would only wake up one time for a bottle around like four in the morning and then go back to sleep and not wake up again till like eight or nine. 00:40:21 Speaker 3: Like, he does sleep pretty good, but he's kind of having. 00:40:24 Speaker 1: A little time. Well. 00:40:26 Speaker 4: We he normally is asleep by like nine. I'd say that's like normal for him. And then he, like I said, we will wake up like three or four in the morning for a bottle and then go back to sleep. He's just been waking up a little bit more right now, and I think it's because he got used to that snow rocking him. 00:40:41 Speaker 3: Back and forth in the ju night. 00:40:42 Speaker 4: Yeah, and now he's just still on the pack and play, so he's still doing good, but he just got to get back into his routine. 00:40:49 Speaker 1: STOSSI told me that Harford sleeps twelve hours, and I was like, yeah, come again. 00:40:53 Speaker 3: She goes down at like seven thirty. 00:40:54 Speaker 1: Yeah, and I'm like, I don't get that. Yeah, Ocean usually falls asleep around the same time as cruise. Yeah, nine o'clock last night was awesome. She slept through the whole night. She woke up at seven. Oh yeah, it's good. Usually she'll wake me up around like six and then she'll go back down until. Yeah. But it's when you wake out of when you wake up out of that rum cycle, you feel a little disorient. 00:41:22 Speaker 4: Oh yeah, waking up all throughout the night is it's not easy. And then having to go and be like productive the next day. 00:41:29 Speaker 1: You killed it. They'll break You're like super mom.
