[SPEAKER_03]: Welcome to the Forty K-Lorecast. [SPEAKER_03]: Welcome to Forty Kay, Lorcaz with me, John Barzati and Brad Jester. [SPEAKER_03]: Today we're going to start our dive into the talons of the emperor. [SPEAKER_03]: And we're going to start with the least hard to see of all the playable armies in Forty Kay. [SPEAKER_01]: There's a golden man as maybe. [SPEAKER_03]: Seriously, like his stones are giant gold beings who have rules along the sneak. [SPEAKER_03]: No. [SPEAKER_03]: Anyway. [SPEAKER_03]: Before we begin, as always, please comment, subscribe in the podcast. [SPEAKER_03]: We actually do see all the comments just so you know, or by we, I do. [SPEAKER_03]: I laugh pretty hard in the morning when drinking coffee and reading some of your guys comments. [SPEAKER_03]: Also, they do help our analytics, which lets us reach a much wider audience. [SPEAKER_03]: So by doing something as simple as that, it really does help us. [SPEAKER_03]: Obviously, we talk about all the time. [SPEAKER_03]: I'm not going to stop talking about it. [SPEAKER_03]: Please join our discord. [SPEAKER_03]: It is free for you guys. [SPEAKER_03]: It's been a great resource for Forty K. Law, just general conversations. [SPEAKER_01]: It weird. [SPEAKER_01]: We have some wild conversations. [SPEAKER_01]: I'm saying today, and I love like they're all over the place. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_03]: I mean, like, we're talking music in the day. [SPEAKER_01]: We're just talking. [SPEAKER_01]: We literally were talking about life, family, what, what kid you were? [SPEAKER_01]: Are you the oldest or the middle kid or the youngest? [SPEAKER_01]: And you know what that was sandwiched between? [SPEAKER_01]: What was the best faction? [SPEAKER_03]: satisfaction. [SPEAKER_03]: We also at one point were discussing how bad your eyes have gotten, uh, post-forty. [SPEAKER_03]: That's been it. [SPEAKER_03]: That was a fun moment in one day. [SPEAKER_03]: Sorry, guys. [SPEAKER_03]: We're old. [SPEAKER_01]: But it's, it's, I really enjoy the discord. [SPEAKER_01]: We have multiple channels, which might be even more channels later on. [SPEAKER_01]: But we're, we're having some lively debates and discussion. [SPEAKER_01]: And I would, I really enjoy everybody coming in. [SPEAKER_01]: John response more than I do because I'm a lurker. [SPEAKER_03]: And, yeah, Brad's creepy. [SPEAKER_03]: I actually just engage. [SPEAKER_03]: We also have a link on our show. [SPEAKER_03]: It's to our Patreon. [SPEAKER_03]: Those of you who's already subscribed in our contributing. [SPEAKER_03]: It really does help a lot. [SPEAKER_03]: I hopefully you guys can hear the improvement. [SPEAKER_03]: We now have better microphones. [SPEAKER_03]: It was actually able to hire someone do some basic audio leveling and editing for us to help clean up some of the sounds. [SPEAKER_03]: These clothes. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, it's. [SPEAKER_03]: It's been a lot better, so hopefully it's been a nice change for your ideas, and it's also been a nice saving to my free time, and thank you guys for doing that. [SPEAKER_03]: But as always, we also finish up with Brad, is a coach of Forty Kay. [SPEAKER_03]: So if you want to play Warhammer on the table top, online via TTS, Brad has coaching for it, everything from the basics of gameplay, all the way through up advanced concepts and tournament preparation. [SPEAKER_01]: And you can reach him at... Oh, man, Brad, Forty Kay. [SPEAKER_01]: Join me. [SPEAKER_03]: I'm going to tell you the website. [SPEAKER_03]: Good luck figuring that out. [SPEAKER_03]: So let's jump into the topic at hand. [SPEAKER_03]: So today we're gonna dive. [SPEAKER_03]: It's a two-part episode we're doing was, was you gonna be three, and then I realized a sass in this take more time than I thought. [SPEAKER_03]: So two-part episode on the talons of the emperor. [SPEAKER_03]: You mean the detachment in forty-cage? [SPEAKER_03]: No, God damn it. [SPEAKER_03]: She's done it. [SPEAKER_03]: Why is that GW's totally comfortable just making up words? [SPEAKER_03]: And then randomly just reuse something over and over again to create confusion. [SPEAKER_03]: It is designed poorly. [SPEAKER_03]: Anyway, the talents of the emperor is referred to as kind of the left hand of right hand of the emperor. [SPEAKER_03]: The one hand is the custodes, the other hand is the sisters of silence. [SPEAKER_03]: And he hits you with both of them because he's a terrible father. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, well, this is more of the American dad actually because the bad English dad doesn't talk to you. [SPEAKER_03]: This is more bad. [SPEAKER_03]: It just beats you. [SPEAKER_03]: Like that's if we're looking global. [SPEAKER_03]: I'm even baking and shooting into the air. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I'm like, oh, so the key things on the talents of the emperor is where they overlap is that they don't be report to nobody other than the emperor themselves. [SPEAKER_01]: I mean, they did report to Maucadour, but he's, how's he doing today? [SPEAKER_01]: He's not doing great. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_03]: He's not doing great. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: He does not exist. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_03]: He dissolved and he was a perpetual. [SPEAKER_03]: So any bad things happen? [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_03]: So they also can override orders. [SPEAKER_03]: They carry because they report to the emperor. [SPEAKER_03]: It is inferred that they take their orders directly from the emperor. [SPEAKER_03]: So that means that if a custod or a system of silence tells you to do something, they're speaking with the authority of the God Emperor himself. [SPEAKER_01]: This, they actually have a slate, well, slightly. [SPEAKER_01]: They have more authority than inquisition, where the inquisition is the inquisitorial writ. [SPEAKER_01]: Then you have the custodes [SPEAKER_01]: I don't know. [SPEAKER_03]: So it's funny. [SPEAKER_03]: I actually looked that up and yeah, too. [SPEAKER_03]: I was like, wait, which way does this go? [SPEAKER_03]: It took me a lot of find it. [SPEAKER_03]: Yes, the inquisition are overwritten by the custodians. [SPEAKER_01]: Yes. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, they carry more authority than they think. [SPEAKER_01]: That's cute. [SPEAKER_01]: We were trying to do. [SPEAKER_01]: But also, no. [SPEAKER_03]: In fact, they can order an inquisitor to do that. [SPEAKER_01]: I'm nine and a half feet tall. [SPEAKER_03]: So if you want to get into an argument, there are there are doing two parts this argument. [SPEAKER_03]: Part one is I have the authority to do this part two is you can challenge my authority. [SPEAKER_03]: And no one will know you did. [SPEAKER_03]: Just let you know I'm pretty. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_03]: In a future cast, we're also going to cover the, what has become recently the third talent, which is the office, you know, assess a norm, which, by the way, Microsoft Word loves when you type that out. [SPEAKER_03]: The level of red squiggly marks. [SPEAKER_03]: So you got his pretty impressive. [SPEAKER_01]: I do think the fact that you completely bailed on it. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, just give them, because it's not rightable this many times. [SPEAKER_03]: So we're going to do these two casts back to back and then we we may go right into assassins afterwards. [SPEAKER_03]: I haven't decided yet. [SPEAKER_03]: So all the days cast though, we're going to start with the custodian guard. [SPEAKER_03]: Brad's second favorite chapter after in peril fists. [SPEAKER_01]: My biggest problem with Customs is what we're gonna start with right now, which is what is a custom, because Customs are the biggest disconnect between lore. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, that's what about to say, is your dislike of Customs, Customs, Lord, or Table Top Customs? [SPEAKER_01]: It's Table Top Customs. [SPEAKER_03]: We're gonna hit on that a lot. [SPEAKER_01]: Because I didn't even know, so I knew about Customs and they're what they were in the lore, because remember, I learned lore first, then learned the game. [SPEAKER_01]: And they were the worst transition into the, yeah, you know what, we actually, I didn't put in the notes. [SPEAKER_03]: So let's take a little bit of a left turn from our notes and start with custodes in on the tabletop because I do think this is important. [SPEAKER_03]: they didn't, because those have been in the lower since nineteen ninety, you know, somewhere in that realm, maybe even earlier. [SPEAKER_01]: They are the endo bill. [SPEAKER_01]: They're what the emperor wanted to make marines, but he couldn't mass-produce custodians. [SPEAKER_03]: Yes, and we'll get to that in a second because those entered the game in two thousand seventeen. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_03]: So for twenty seven or more years, they've been talked up. [SPEAKER_03]: They hit the table top. [SPEAKER_03]: That's my issue. [SPEAKER_03]: They hit it like a piece of sludge falling off. [SPEAKER_01]: I was playing playing or reading forty came for twenty years before the custodians came out. [SPEAKER_01]: Custodes were these [SPEAKER_01]: figures of four. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, mystical fake. [SPEAKER_03]: That's such a great way to because they really, they could only exist in the lore because of how powerful and credible. [SPEAKER_01]: And because they also didn't travel. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: They only went to certain they, their biggest thing was as they guarded the Emperor. [SPEAKER_01]: They were in the key. [SPEAKER_01]: Yes. [SPEAKER_01]: And then they only went out on these very secret little, whatever, you know, you saw a custodian people were like, no, you didn't. [SPEAKER_01]: You might as well just saw, I saw Godzilla, you know, and they were these unbelievable creatures basically of mystery. [SPEAKER_01]: And then they came on the tabletop and they were good. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: And you're like, okay. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: And you're like, no, that's not what they are there. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, our last like four episodes, we've spent kind of largely laughing at how broken and fun. [SPEAKER_03]: Eldar were because they made them lower specific. [SPEAKER_03]: Castoads are the opposite and every custod player listening this is probably art of the arms of the air. [SPEAKER_03]: Thank you because it is completely true. [SPEAKER_01]: The custodians have come out multiple times and then good. [SPEAKER_01]: And then people went, they're too good. [SPEAKER_01]: And they immediately nerfed them. [SPEAKER_01]: You're like, they're not even close to what they are. [SPEAKER_03]: Well, yeah. [SPEAKER_03]: I mean, that's nerfed custodes are maybe thirty percent potential. [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, you should be able to put three custodes in the table and in table and opponent. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: Custodes joke around about Marines. [SPEAKER_01]: Hmm. [SPEAKER_01]: They just don't even consider that anything. [SPEAKER_03]: So let's let's jump into that. [SPEAKER_03]: Actually, we'll start there. [SPEAKER_03]: So let's talk about what it is to make a custode. [SPEAKER_03]: So whereas like [SPEAKER_03]: space marines we cover that whole process and the exceptional amount of broken organs that they put in them for apparently no reason. [SPEAKER_01]: Also, yes, the nightlorids, you know, bothered me so much because they showed people spitting acid. [SPEAKER_01]: Like what he wants. [SPEAKER_03]: I mean, that's the thing. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, it's like most wants. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, we continue. [SPEAKER_03]: So custodes were as a space marine gets kind of brought in in there, like just either preadolescence or early adolescence, custodes are taken as infants into this process. [SPEAKER_03]: They're almost always of noble birth. [SPEAKER_03]: They're handed over the Emperor willingly. [SPEAKER_03]: These are not taken. [SPEAKER_03]: The noble houses couldn't be happier than to give over their infants because of not in a crappy way, but in a like, we believe in the Imperium. [SPEAKER_01]: This is the biggest hierarchy possible. [SPEAKER_01]: Exactly. [SPEAKER_01]: Because these are the best of the best and they are also effectively, they are. [SPEAKER_01]: Customs are just every one of them is nobility. [SPEAKER_03]: Their position is. [SPEAKER_03]: Well, their nobility is their second to the emperor. [SPEAKER_03]: Right. [SPEAKER_03]: I mean, they are, and some of them can rise up. [SPEAKER_03]: One of them is a Lord of Terrorism, which is like, yeah, so this is the ultimate of the ultimate. [SPEAKER_03]: So the noble houses of terror happily give over their infants to this process. [SPEAKER_01]: And this process is a big deal because it's one of the reasons why custodians and people can argue with their multiple stories where they say this, custodians disdain marines one because of the bi-caripass. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, they think it's insane. [SPEAKER_03]: Well, there's also and because they're tainted and we'll get to that later. [SPEAKER_03]: but so but so these infence when they're taken over are actually infused with the emperor himself. [SPEAKER_03]: That's what that's what's written in the codex. [SPEAKER_03]: There's a lot of variances on this. [SPEAKER_03]: Some people at some point it was they actually have some of the blood of the emperor put in them. [SPEAKER_03]: Some are they actually are that this the emperor is able to reach out his so he has some pushing into them. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it's what they refer to it as the spark of [SPEAKER_03]: Exactly. [SPEAKER_03]: We don't really know how they do it, but we do know the results. [SPEAKER_03]: And the results are as a result is rewritten at the genetic level. [SPEAKER_03]: To the point where, as we just mentioned this a moment ago, these nobles give their kids over. [SPEAKER_03]: Even if their child was standing in front of them as a focus, because the, because the genetic rewrite is so significant, they have no resemblance to anyone. [SPEAKER_03]: So there's kind of this, which is also a good thing, those nobles are shady people. [SPEAKER_03]: And, and for the case, they, they would show it. [SPEAKER_03]: They're horrible. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, my son, my son's constantly involved or like, no, it's not like that. [SPEAKER_03]: It's like no, no, he's not. [SPEAKER_03]: He told, look, he's got my chin. [SPEAKER_03]: They all have the same chin. [SPEAKER_03]: But it goes beyond it. [SPEAKER_03]: So this genetic rewrite affects them in physique, mind, and spirit. [SPEAKER_01]: And that's a really big thing. [SPEAKER_01]: Yes, because of the fact that you have to have a rewrite of all of these things, because most of the time you look at this, I guess, the stats. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_03]: That's the physique. [SPEAKER_03]: Thanks. [SPEAKER_03]: We're in air quotes. [SPEAKER_03]: Well, talking to a microphone. [SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I also want everybody to know every time I do this guy, I do double thumbs. [SPEAKER_03]: Yes, yeah. [SPEAKER_03]: And I also put down, I know to any of you who ever get to come to a tournament that we're at, watch how much Brad talks to this hands and I talk with my hands and then realize that we speak in the microphones. [SPEAKER_01]: I also put down whatever is in my hands to do this. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, Brad, Brad has put down a doctor pepper so that he can talk with his hands while speaking to a microphone. [SPEAKER_03]: It's not if this matters to any of you. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, but [SPEAKER_01]: to my excellent point, which I'm probably going to face now that I've been satisfied. [SPEAKER_01]: One of the bigger part, not the physique, not the physical omits is the mine in spirit because these have to be super intelligent also unbelievably powerful psychic defense. [SPEAKER_03]: Exactly. [SPEAKER_03]: Well, let's dive into it. [SPEAKER_03]: So we'll start with the easy bit, which is the physique, because the physique's kind of the ease when to explore their huge, their ten feet or higher, which is the three meters for the rest of the world. [SPEAKER_03]: My literally all of you, they are, so they're actually larger than that space marine by a good margin. [SPEAKER_03]: They're still larger than a primaris marine, and they are for the most part of the smaller than a primar, but there's a few primar because they're bigger than. [SPEAKER_01]: They're also faster. [SPEAKER_03]: Well, there's so much faster than it's basically. [SPEAKER_03]: They're pushing into L-dars speed. [SPEAKER_03]: And the way they can move, but not L-dars strength. [SPEAKER_03]: They're stronger than L-dars. [SPEAKER_03]: I mean, these things are monstrous. [SPEAKER_03]: And so there's a lot of stories. [SPEAKER_03]: If you read the Horace Heresy novels, and I realize that's not narrowing it down when I say the Horace Heresy novels. [SPEAKER_01]: They're really with the custodes when they meet CSM, which means that they're fighting other marines. [SPEAKER_01]: They just get shreds. [SPEAKER_01]: It's nothing. [SPEAKER_01]: Leave, they look like it's sore on it at the beginning of Lord in the right. [SPEAKER_03]: There's like, oh, I'll get that guy who was there. [SPEAKER_03]: I make me to job to stab him. [SPEAKER_01]: Like, hey, let me stab him and cleave the rest of the people in my way. [SPEAKER_03]: They also are good at killing demons. [SPEAKER_03]: They're pretty good. [SPEAKER_03]: They're surprisingly resilient to poison. [SPEAKER_01]: I mean, that's probably because they didn't get the three different organs that's supposed to make you that do nothing. [SPEAKER_03]: They just give them a mild genetic change and they're like, yeah, okay, now they gave four gold letters. [SPEAKER_03]: Let's talk into kind of the more esoteric ones, which is the intelligence that we're going to spirit after this. [SPEAKER_03]: Space Marine, we covered space marine intelligence. [SPEAKER_03]: Space Marines are extremely intelligent. [SPEAKER_03]: The primarx even more so. [SPEAKER_03]: But it's combat intelligence. [SPEAKER_03]: They're ability to take in lots of information, diagnose a battle situation, this type of thing. [SPEAKER_03]: That's what they're good for. [SPEAKER_03]: Because stoves do that. [SPEAKER_03]: They also can run, not just like when we see run a government, they can run the impurity. [SPEAKER_03]: Like that's where they are. [SPEAKER_01]: That's what they were groomed for. [SPEAKER_03]: Because the Emperor didn't actually want to make primarx first. [SPEAKER_03]: His first goal was to make custos. [SPEAKER_03]: And he was making them to be his advisors. [SPEAKER_03]: And the Emperor knew he could never make them as intelligent as he is, but he could make them close. [SPEAKER_03]: And so that was his big focus. [SPEAKER_03]: I wanted to be able to take these beings, create them. [SPEAKER_03]: And this, and I could [SPEAKER_03]: send them around the galaxy to handle my business without concern of them having to call me and say, hey, how do I do X? [SPEAKER_01]: Well, these guys are like, and we talk about just guys that can handle problems. [SPEAKER_01]: It's not handle problems like I eliminate people. [SPEAKER_01]: It's handle problems like what are the ramifications on a society if I make this decision? [SPEAKER_01]: And also, what are the ramifications when we think society? [SPEAKER_01]: We're long live. [SPEAKER_01]: What's going to happen in three hundred years? [SPEAKER_03]: I will caveat with Brad just said he's completely right, but they seem to always go with stab them. [SPEAKER_01]: I mean, what they're not supposed to do just that. [SPEAKER_03]: It goes straight that involves because they're intelligent. [SPEAKER_03]: They can think through things. [SPEAKER_03]: They can see both sides, but every time the side they choose involves murder, [SPEAKER_03]: Anyway, the biggest one though, I think is actually the soul. [SPEAKER_03]: This is one, and this one's really important. [SPEAKER_03]: The emperor does imbue some of himself or the custodians imbue some of the emperor. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, every single custod. [SPEAKER_03]: And so this does a few different things to them. [SPEAKER_03]: One, it creates a sense of loyalty to the emperor. [SPEAKER_03]: And that's the part I kind of don't love about the story where it's like, oh, they put some of the emperor in them. [SPEAKER_03]: And then they're insanely loyal to the emperor. [SPEAKER_01]: They kind of can't be. [SPEAKER_03]: I know, but it's still a creepy. [SPEAKER_03]: Yes, but yeah it is like to and this goes beyond like a desire it is it's the need we talked actually it's good we're doing this after Eldar because we're talking in the Eldar we talked about the paths the idea of failing the emperor is so just horrifying [SPEAKER_03]: to a custod. [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, it's that they just will hand out the worst fear of anything. [SPEAKER_03]: Yes, they're just they would rather they're very happy to die. [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, yeah, I'm holding the Emperor's will, which I want to go on a quick side down, which is we have one good Lord of Ter, who also stopped a plot effectively against the Emperor. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: And they were surprised when he did it. [SPEAKER_01]: Why? [SPEAKER_03]: Because he totally be on our side. [SPEAKER_03]: Why wouldn't? [SPEAKER_01]: God, the Lord's of Tara suck and I want everybody to know this. [SPEAKER_03]: They're supposed to be. [SPEAKER_01]: Since the beginning of the. [SPEAKER_03]: That's interesting. [SPEAKER_03]: I didn't use this. [SPEAKER_03]: I thought a time with Brad when he talks about how much he hates Lord of Tara. [SPEAKER_03]: He says this as if they were real. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_03]: It's real. [SPEAKER_03]: His hatred of them is not like a man. [SPEAKER_03]: I don't like this one, but everybody, when he makes a face talking with the lords of terror, where I'm like, Brad does Brad know they're not real. [SPEAKER_03]: Like I need to have that pro wrestling conversation with Brad pretty soon of like. [SPEAKER_03]: Hey, you know, it's fake, right? [SPEAKER_03]: Drop an arcade. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_03]: You know, it's, you know, it's fake, right? [SPEAKER_01]: They're just that fault for every big band thing that's ever happened. [SPEAKER_03]: The other piece that also does help with their soul was custodians are resistant or more recent that chaos than anyone else. [SPEAKER_03]: Having their never-sikers, which is a key thing on custod, they are none of them have ever manifest a psychic power. [SPEAKER_03]: But they are naturally resistant to them, not at the blank level which will cover our next cast. [SPEAKER_03]: They're able to actually resist psychic powers in a way that no other non-period gene is. [SPEAKER_01]: It's a big deal about this because the spark of the Emperor, the infusion of the Emperor's, so whatever they can, is a big deal because they can actually go deal with chaos and curshens and they don't have corruption, which is huge because almost everybody has something that you bring back with you. [SPEAKER_01]: It doesn't have to be. [SPEAKER_01]: I'm possessed by cast. [SPEAKER_01]: Well, and this is your ring. [SPEAKER_01]: We'll back. [SPEAKER_03]: We're going to cover this. [SPEAKER_03]: I'm going to foreshadow the cast a little bit. [SPEAKER_03]: Costodes also are aware of everything in the galaxy and always have been. [SPEAKER_03]: So they would be deployed against demons routinely before anyone in the impairing of new demons. [SPEAKER_01]: When we were still new key worlds consist. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, and they were able to resist that. [SPEAKER_03]: They could come back where is like, you know, we talked about like, [SPEAKER_03]: routinely, the inquisitions more modern inquisition, but even we do believe before this, the emperor would kill people off who fought a demonic incursion or certain the psychers so that no one else, the impereing would know about it. [SPEAKER_03]: And obviously he was worried about them being corrupted by it, whereas custos, he's like, yeah, you guys got the least for sure. [SPEAKER_01]: They're not corrupted. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, we're good. [SPEAKER_03]: Now all of this, you know, positives and the custos, all things that can do does come with a pretty serious negative, which is [SPEAKER_01]: Let's talk about the creation process, which is, hey, remember when we gave you all these babies, how many became custodians out of the last thousand we sent you? [SPEAKER_03]: Well, less than one. [SPEAKER_03]: I mean, it is thousands die in this process. [SPEAKER_03]: And what's crazy is that I actually, I've known this law for a long time, doing the research for this, I realized most actually don't die in the beginning, that they die in the middle process. [SPEAKER_03]: So the infusion of the emperor will just kill things. [SPEAKER_03]: But [SPEAKER_03]: Just being infused with the emperor is not enough. [SPEAKER_03]: You then have to begin a transformation, both in training and in like testing and at that any point in those processes you fail, they will kill you. [SPEAKER_03]: This can be, and when I say they will kill you like, [SPEAKER_03]: I thought it was a, they show a bunch of the emperor in you and you have a heart attack and you die, right? [SPEAKER_03]: It's not. [SPEAKER_03]: They put a bunch of stuff in you and then you just don't develop. [SPEAKER_03]: Muscularly, at the way they thought that you should. [SPEAKER_03]: And then they got you know, they could, you know, you, you, you, you, you, you, you, with your new Asian tiger mom here, you, you get, you get a ninety-eight in the exam. [SPEAKER_03]: You're dead. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, you're dead. [SPEAKER_03]: This is life. [SPEAKER_01]: Why you failed me so horribly? [SPEAKER_03]: Yes, this is everything about them is all testing and failing. [SPEAKER_03]: Even beyond, let's say you succeed physically and you're in the training room and you're fighting really well and all these things happen. [SPEAKER_03]: And we're now in your, you know, two hundred and fifty at the year of life. [SPEAKER_03]: And you're fighting a demonic incursion. [SPEAKER_03]: And you don't run away. [SPEAKER_03]: You just hold for a second to the side of a blood therster. [SPEAKER_03]: That they kill you. [SPEAKER_01]: That's a training process is something I don't agree with because they just go, hey, man, you should figure it out faster. [SPEAKER_01]: You're like, I just started training yesterday. [SPEAKER_03]: Well, why aren't you better? [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_03]: I mean, we talked about on the guard cast, the commissars. [SPEAKER_03]: The custodes are like just, I would give them superhuman commissars. [SPEAKER_03]: It's where they're at. [SPEAKER_03]: Just I'm the greatest fighter. [SPEAKER_03]: I will never be afraid of anything. [SPEAKER_03]: And any one who is afraid of them, I probably will just kill. [SPEAKER_03]: So custodes are fun. [SPEAKER_03]: This has led to a simple challenge the custodes have, which has been there's not a lot of [SPEAKER_03]: We don't actually know how many they're ever worth. [SPEAKER_03]: We know that we used to use to be a set number of custodes and now there's not. [SPEAKER_03]: We've always been the ten thousand for a long time, but we don't know if that's a real number. [SPEAKER_03]: That's why I'm getting it. [SPEAKER_01]: But the same. [SPEAKER_03]: We have no idea. [SPEAKER_01]: Well, they also change a bit. [SPEAKER_01]: This isn't a retone. [SPEAKER_01]: This is just how they change because they started deploying custodes to places and before. [SPEAKER_03]: Well, you, that's a very no yet. [SPEAKER_03]: So at the dawn of their existence, the expectation was there may have been a few hundred to low thousands. [SPEAKER_03]: And the kids are dying as there's probably three. [SPEAKER_03]: But eventually, you know, when they got deployed kind of run great crusade time, probably the thousand may be less existed. [SPEAKER_03]: But they, you know, the nobles keep giving babies over and they keep doing the process. [SPEAKER_03]: And the good thing about custodians is they're kind of hard to kill. [SPEAKER_03]: So, you know, the numbers have kind of flourished a little bit. [SPEAKER_03]: They also do look awesome. [SPEAKER_03]: They're intimidating. [SPEAKER_03]: They're terrifying. [SPEAKER_03]: And they have, yeah, they are terrifying. [SPEAKER_03]: And, but let's dive into though real quick, what it is that the custodes are. [SPEAKER_03]: What is their actual purchase? [SPEAKER_01]: The emperor. [SPEAKER_03]: Yep. [SPEAKER_03]: And by shoulder the emperor is not just protecting the emperor on the throne, but they'll do. [SPEAKER_03]: And the palace, they also protect the imperial from secrets in that this is a piece I like a lot. [SPEAKER_03]: We talk and we'll talk more about it a little bit. [SPEAKER_03]: We talked about the first legions. [SPEAKER_01]: Here about to say, one of the most, what I read this in the notes, I'm like, well, you're not wrong, but also that sounds so fucked up. [SPEAKER_01]: Continue. [SPEAKER_01]: Because this is crazy. [SPEAKER_03]: So they also perform secret missions around the galaxy. [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, yeah, missions two secret or sensitive for the dark angels. [SPEAKER_01]: You're like, what did you genocide people? [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, well, specifically to keep things around. [SPEAKER_03]: They did some of the most f-d-up stuff the Emperor ever needed. [SPEAKER_03]: The only one real quick note for we dive too far into this, custodes are not a mortal, even in life. [SPEAKER_03]: Something that, like we get wrong when I talk to people about the custodes, they think that they actually are immortal. [SPEAKER_03]: They're not. [SPEAKER_03]: They do get old. [SPEAKER_03]: And in fact, this is kind of a cool story about this. [SPEAKER_03]: As custodes age, just like anyone else, their vision gets a little bit worse, their reaction times start to lengthen, just like all of us, right? [SPEAKER_03]: It just takes them seven hundred years or a thousand years to get there. [SPEAKER_03]: When a custod begins to age out, they actually have something else that they can, they can do. [SPEAKER_03]: They become almost a spy for the emperor. [SPEAKER_03]: So they will one day and they, they're, they're not told to do this. [SPEAKER_03]: They do it on their own one day. [SPEAKER_03]: They take their armor off. [SPEAKER_03]: They put down their weapon. [SPEAKER_01]: The yellow wind of the game. [SPEAKER_03]: And they walked out a row wearing a robe and a hood. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_03]: And then they become the eye of the emperor. [SPEAKER_03]: And if you think I'm not about to shit on this, you're out of your goddamn mind. [SPEAKER_01]: Because it's, bro, the other day I was sitting at a bar and I was talking about things and I did barely even notice the ten foot tall guy that weighed seven hundred pounds standing next to me. [SPEAKER_01]: I was like, oh, I didn't even notice you there. [SPEAKER_03]: And so the two examples I thought of when I was reading this was one in Thor Ragnarok when Chris had [SPEAKER_03]: words put the scar over his face or for those of us in America who were old enough there was a really good SNL sketch where the rock was playing Clark can't just so much it's billowing out of his shirt [SPEAKER_03]: watch either of those and said, that's what a because that's what these custodes would have looked like, just wandering around like the bar on tattooing, taking up the entire section of like, I am also here fellow traveler. [SPEAKER_03]: What do have you heard any rumors of the emperor? [SPEAKER_03]: Normal human housing going. [SPEAKER_01]: I am also a local factory worker. [SPEAKER_01]: Yes. [SPEAKER_03]: I too farm the fields around the nearby village. [SPEAKER_03]: You can tell by my weathered skin from being out in the sunlight. [SPEAKER_03]: Why? [SPEAKER_03]: Also, why are you half my size? [SPEAKER_03]: I'm confused by this. [SPEAKER_03]: Like, they stand out in the second. [SPEAKER_03]: I accidentally killed multiple people in this bar because your guys are so tiny. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, exactly. [SPEAKER_03]: I didn't, yeah, the entry arm wrestling contest. [SPEAKER_03]: Just pulling them up, pulling you below a part. [SPEAKER_03]: Like, [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, my bad. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, it should be, sorry, now it's just my brain is going to like, they keep breaking all the glassware at the bar because everything, it takes something up to shatters. [SPEAKER_01]: You're not using time. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, it's like, you know, he's like trying to drive a car and it's like the scene and the Incredibles. [SPEAKER_03]: We just stuck it. [SPEAKER_03]: So this is fun for me. [SPEAKER_03]: Anyway, onto actual substance will be right back after a quick break. [SPEAKER_03]: Let's talk about, I think, let's start off with again, the pre-history of the custodes. [SPEAKER_03]: And this section, I think this is really important because we don't be in talk about enough. [SPEAKER_03]: custodes date back to round the dark age of technology. [SPEAKER_03]: We not really sure when. [SPEAKER_03]: Because the Emperor fought his war of unification on Terra. [SPEAKER_01]: But the thing is, is that he got ready. [SPEAKER_01]: The Emperor started his preparation for [SPEAKER_01]: Well, you took a sweet time. [SPEAKER_01]: The reclamation of Terry, like you think it's sweet time. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: It was thousands of years that he was like setting up what he's going to do. [SPEAKER_01]: Apparently just contemplating on a mountain. [SPEAKER_03]: What he was doing during it out taking his time. [SPEAKER_01]: Because he let some shit get real. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_03]: And so at one point where this is again, this is a John interpretation. [SPEAKER_03]: So if I'm wrong, hop in discord and tell me if I'm wrong, but we know that the Emperor went to Mollock. [SPEAKER_03]: You went through the portal at Mollock and met with the chaos gods at which point he made a deal with them. [SPEAKER_03]: We know that he got out of the deal, do Billy to make the primarx and manipulate DNA. [SPEAKER_03]: We don't know what he promised the chaos gods are then he did not follow through. [SPEAKER_01]: Also, it is [SPEAKER_01]: As much as we should on the Emperor sometimes, that is such a big dick move. [SPEAKER_01]: So just go, hey, what's up, Chaos Gods? [SPEAKER_03]: Let's have a chat and also get I want your greatest secrets give them to me. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, he's just like, what do it? [SPEAKER_01]: And they're like, I don't know what's happening, but I think I'm just going to do with this guy. [SPEAKER_03]: Like what even you get a what if they talked about that later um I don't know what just went on it was why did you I just I'm convinced they were all yelling at each other. [SPEAKER_01]: Why did you tell him that like you know what what did you give them that information happened like some guy a human showed up. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, it obviously my right thing is they all after it's talked about the corn public I could kill them I just chose not to and you know they were all like oh I could have done this, but you know I didn't want to show off in front of you guys. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, but anyway [SPEAKER_03]: After that, the Emperor comes back and my opinion is that his first attempt at the information was to make gods with it, which is what he tried to do, which were the custodes. [SPEAKER_03]: They are nothing has ever, nothing has ever existed in the Imperium as powerful as the custodians in the individual. [SPEAKER_03]: But the thing is, is that he, although the elder fans are going to put out yes to some soletaires that have jacked up some custodes. [SPEAKER_03]: Pretty bad. [SPEAKER_03]: So all right, fine. [SPEAKER_03]: There's only two things as powerful in the bare hands because they're still in period. [SPEAKER_03]: I think it's a galaxy earlier, but in the Imperium, you're right. [SPEAKER_01]: But the thing is with it is the Emperor realized right away that he can't take over the galaxy with this limited number. [SPEAKER_03]: Right. [SPEAKER_03]: Because yeah, and that's where he began. [SPEAKER_03]: And that's later he begins to kind of expand his experiments. [SPEAKER_03]: So we covered this before but quick jump back into the unification of wars. [SPEAKER_03]: The emperor has made his custodes, but there's not enough of them. [SPEAKER_03]: So he makes the thunder warriors, which precursors the space marines. [SPEAKER_03]: The thunder warriors are, they're actually pretty close to space marines and strengthen power. [SPEAKER_03]: They're just morons. [SPEAKER_01]: And we didn't give a lot of authority to like, you know, it's a custodes. [SPEAKER_01]: episode, but Space Marines, again, one of the things they really understand is how quickly they disseminate information. [SPEAKER_01]: They have a screen that is effectively full of a billion things that they have to understand and they assimilate that immediately. [SPEAKER_01]: So Space Marines were able to understand, think, take in, and the Thunder Warriors were able to [SPEAKER_01]: Put the beats down. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, it would take pointy thing run over there. [SPEAKER_03]: Stab person with pointy. [SPEAKER_01]: That's when they went, hey, this boulder works really well. [SPEAKER_03]: But I like this story as we've told it before. [SPEAKER_03]: I'm going to tell it again. [SPEAKER_03]: At the end of the unification wars, the emperor realized that his thunder wars were going to be a problem and he had to kill them all. [SPEAKER_03]: And these were, the thunder wars had just conquered Tara running over. [SPEAKER_03]: And by the way, every other warlord on Tara had genetically modified soldiers. [SPEAKER_03]: The thunder wars were so powerful that they made those genetically modified soldiers look like children to them. [SPEAKER_01]: Like what every single battle they talk about is the Empress forces destroying nothing. [SPEAKER_03]: So the emperor brings all the thunder warriors together. [SPEAKER_03]: And by brings them, I mean, we're talking tens of thousands of them in one area. [SPEAKER_03]: And he sends in the custodes, which is a couple hundred of them, and maybe a couple thousand dark angels. [SPEAKER_03]: It was first legion. [SPEAKER_03]: They killed every single thunder warrior. [SPEAKER_03]: And they were on and on and on by the way, because you couldn't unarm a thunder warrior. [SPEAKER_03]: It just was nothing. [SPEAKER_03]: The custodes just went through them like whatever. [SPEAKER_03]: And killed the greatest warriors that do that. [SPEAKER_03]: Tara had ever seen the custodians in a short afternoon. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_03]: So from there, we'll jump into the next big part of Imperial History, which is the great crusade. [SPEAKER_03]: So again, the Emperor, he has his space Marines at this point, we're gonna expand out, we're gonna reconquer the galaxy. [SPEAKER_03]: And he doesn't really need the custodes for this. [SPEAKER_01]: This is also a weird time for the custodes, because of the way that they wrote. [SPEAKER_01]: Because they kinda just went, custodes exist, here's the great crusades, and we'll get back to you. [SPEAKER_01]: There's a dark time. [SPEAKER_01]: There's some stories, but for the most part, Custodes just exist, and that's enough. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, they're around the Emperor every now and then. [SPEAKER_03]: He would send them somewhere. [SPEAKER_03]: The stories at this time in the Codex are effectively that he used them in this era to kind of handle crap he couldn't get to. [SPEAKER_03]: So, you know, if he had to be, he's with his space Marines conquering the galaxy, but there's a meeting back on Terra. [SPEAKER_03]: He sends the custodes. [SPEAKER_03]: You know, there's a somewhat friendly system, yes, you'll deal with. [SPEAKER_03]: He sends a custode. [SPEAKER_03]: The only place that we saw a lot of the custodes was they were always next to the Emperor as he moved places, just as a little like, [SPEAKER_01]: There is a couple stories because one of the last things that they did is if the emperor wanted to drop the hammer and not tell anybody about it, yeah, he would send the custodes and the custodes would just go [SPEAKER_01]: Bomber for you. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, all of you are dead now. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_03]: I mean, it's, yeah, what I would say is this is completely John, but whatever I'm still right, we have two primarks who are redacted, which means there were two legions that had to be removed from his forces. [SPEAKER_03]: That would be custom. [SPEAKER_03]: That's a hundred percent cause I'd say there's ten, what how big was a legion was a ten thousand? [SPEAKER_03]: or the hundred thousand. [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, lesions can be whatever. [SPEAKER_01]: The chapters are now. [SPEAKER_03]: The chapter episode would have been so probably fifty to a hundred thousand space Marines had to get, had to get removed. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: And who can do that? [SPEAKER_03]: Well, can't kill a primer. [SPEAKER_03]: By the way, Constantin Valdor, I feel like something he would, he might be part of. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, he was, Valdor was, did not. [SPEAKER_02]: Valdor would have shot. [SPEAKER_02]: Valdor would have shot. [SPEAKER_01]: Wow, that is a big thing. [SPEAKER_01]: You know what? [SPEAKER_01]: Screw this. [SPEAKER_01]: I'm going side note on that. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: The upper was distant British dad. [SPEAKER_01]: Valdor was the guy that just did the dirty work. [SPEAKER_01]: Valdor's horrifying. [SPEAKER_01]: Like, man, that guy was like, the ever goes, these are the ten things we can do. [SPEAKER_01]: And while there's like, yeah, there's an eleven. [SPEAKER_03]: I'm already on my way. [SPEAKER_03]: There's an eleven that I'm already doing it. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: By the way, I'm calling you from there. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: Just letting you know that also not even I'm calling you from there. [SPEAKER_01]: I'm calling you after I did the thing. [SPEAKER_03]: And it's never called out explicitly, but it's pretty well implied that, you know, as he manages to read the emperor knew what was out in the galaxy. [SPEAKER_03]: He was directing where his forces would go. [SPEAKER_03]: It's quite likely, and, more clearly, it's correct, that he knew worlds that had demonic incursions. [SPEAKER_03]: He would send the custodes there because they could go clean with it. [SPEAKER_03]: He would also send the custodes to worlds where he wanted if there was an artifact he wanted recovered. [SPEAKER_03]: He would send the custodes. [SPEAKER_03]: And we know this because there is a mini black library under the Imperial Palace that's guarded by the custodes and they put all this shit in there. [SPEAKER_03]: Because this is, remember, the custodes predate greenites and inquisition. [SPEAKER_03]: So someone had to do this crap. [SPEAKER_03]: And it was constantly involved or his buddies. [SPEAKER_01]: Also there's attachments don't give them justice, but it's any. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, that's another reason why I have issues with the custodes is the shield hosts are cool rule in the game. [SPEAKER_01]: However, there's a God damn big difference between things like the keepers and stuff like that because they have specific jobs and they are gone. [SPEAKER_01]: They're phenomenal. [SPEAKER_03]: The truth is like, all right, that's just call it off. [SPEAKER_03]: The tabletop standpoint, it would be very rare to have only one of the shield hosts arrive. [SPEAKER_03]: It would be multiple shield hosts because they'd be taking on multiple things. [SPEAKER_03]: More of a campaign. [SPEAKER_03]: So you're trying to do back there with an eighth edition where we could, yeah, it was eighth edition where we could have multiple and an army. [SPEAKER_03]: We need to go back to eighth edition to make custodians function correctly, which spoiler, they were terrible theories. [SPEAKER_03]: They were just bad. [SPEAKER_03]: So let's jump into the more fun part of the history, which is the Horace Harrison. [SPEAKER_01]: The first line is just my favorite here. [SPEAKER_01]: No bias whatsoever. [SPEAKER_03]: All right, I'll read it out. [SPEAKER_03]: So after the victory on Olinore with the encoded temporary defeat of the Horace, I'm sorry. [SPEAKER_03]: What Olinore also called today? [SPEAKER_03]: Armageddon, yeah, it feels very temporary, but throw it out there. [SPEAKER_03]: Like it seems like you can get a bit of all the orcs or the orcs presence there. [SPEAKER_03]: Anyway, the emperor returned back to Tera and then doing so he'd left all of the space Marines under the very, you know, positive, two-lage of Horace. [SPEAKER_01]: It was positive at the time. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, it was totally, this went great. [SPEAKER_03]: Anyway, the custodes left with him. [SPEAKER_03]: And they all went back with the Emperor, a few stayed around with, you know, with Horus and them, just as for a lot, just read the Horus Heresy. [SPEAKER_03]: You'll see, there's lots of reasons for this. [SPEAKER_03]: But the custodes for the most part retreat back to the palace with the exception of, because there's some stuff that comes up. [SPEAKER_03]: Once the Heresy explodes, the custodes get pretty heavily used. [SPEAKER_03]: One of the biggest ones is a demonic incursion in the base of the palace because they certain one I jackass. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, to tell him about it. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, and for those who don't know, it's actually called the war on the web way. [SPEAKER_03]: It's the secret campaign of the Horacee because the custodes were stuck in this like pseudo web way, pseudo portal to the in material. [SPEAKER_03]: I mean, Vulcan did show up and telling this wasn't going to work, but can say, yeah, it only ends with the emperor actually warping into there at one point to help them close in. [SPEAKER_03]: So the custodes are busy. [SPEAKER_03]: They also got stuck. [SPEAKER_01]: But let's pause that because it sounds not even as you're making it sound not as catastrophic as it was. [SPEAKER_01]: The Emperor was effectively trying to create his own web way and demons were like [SPEAKER_01]: We're wrecking this. [SPEAKER_01]: And there is an every, twenty four seven, the demons are at the door. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_03]: Not energling by the way. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: It is a full incursion. [SPEAKER_01]: And the emperor is being the emperor. [SPEAKER_01]: Like, yeah, this is probably no problem. [SPEAKER_01]: Because I'm the emperor. [SPEAKER_01]: Wow, I'm the best. [SPEAKER_01]: And then Magnus went, I need to tell Dad what's going on and punch the whole through that. [SPEAKER_03]: and all of the demons spill into the imperial palace, they fight them back. [SPEAKER_03]: And so for five years, the custodes spend fighting a war in the, it's called the war in the web way, but I'm going to be honest and call Emperor out here. [SPEAKER_03]: It wasn't a web way. [SPEAKER_03]: He built a portal to health. [SPEAKER_01]: It's a war in the basement. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, it's a basement. [SPEAKER_03]: It's a portal to health. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, always hate when I open a portal to health in the basement of my house. [SPEAKER_03]: And so they spent time finding there. [SPEAKER_03]: The Custodes also were stuck. [SPEAKER_03]: It was like on Mars because the problem was that thanks to a certain fabricator general, Mars was in full rebellion. [SPEAKER_03]: So he had this in the Custodes over there to make sure they got some level of weapons. [SPEAKER_03]: Then you have the nobillion lords of terror who need to be reminded every so often of like, which they would also be like, well, what if [SPEAKER_01]: the emperor loose the jitterly wearing hats with two bills that emperor and horse on them. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, they were just flipping around until the custos would walk in and just take the hat off their head, maybe with their head with their hat for sure. [SPEAKER_03]: More often with the head. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_03]: And they were having a travel around dealing with demon incursions because the emperor doesn't need to lose this battle with those women to my demons. [SPEAKER_03]: The custos went from [SPEAKER_03]: This kind of like laws I fair, let's guard the embassy hangout thing, to you're gonna be deployed in every single place in all the worst spots of all the galaxies. [SPEAKER_01]: It's not even just deployed. [SPEAKER_01]: They were only deployed in shit that was shit. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: The shittiest of the shittiestness. [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, it's horrifying. [SPEAKER_03]: So we'll skip to the end then of the Horace Harris because it's been covered a lot. [SPEAKER_03]: The custodians are obviously there helping defend the imperial palace. [SPEAKER_03]: the not terror by the way, the imperial palace because terror got wrecked. [SPEAKER_01]: Well, this is a big thing because the the custodes think of this is a failure, but it is, though, no, but it actually. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, but I'm sure they're just literally went. [SPEAKER_01]: They went with those swagans. [SPEAKER_03]: They went with him. [SPEAKER_03]: They had teleported to the wrong part of the ship, but whatever, the emperor does and we'll come a more than we could reveal though in a bit. [SPEAKER_03]: So the emperor gets felled by Horace and he's only saved by being in tune. [SPEAKER_03]: And the this is it. [SPEAKER_03]: This is the first time that custodes have failed and their number one charges protect [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, this is a big deal because of the fact that the custodians were on the brink of just not existing at the point. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_03]: Well, yeah. [SPEAKER_03]: So yeah, so the post-Harracy era, the emperor is Suo Slane. [SPEAKER_03]: He's in tune in the folder and the custodians disappear. [SPEAKER_03]: I mean, they exist. [SPEAKER_03]: They disappeared is that they just they move completely into the imperial palace and do not leave it. [SPEAKER_01]: They also shut it down. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, although they locked the doors. [SPEAKER_01]: they're just we exist here the guys that were around the galaxy solving problems also remember diplomatically solving problems with their amazing skit that that's the thing they were the so it's might be actually better at so i know they they talk about it he joke about it but like the customs were actually [SPEAKER_01]: Why don't they skill, New Jersey? [SPEAKER_03]: Well, there, I mean, this is, this is, in my opinion, what causes the quote unquote downfall of the impairments because the most intelligent members of the entire impairing, one of them is in tune in the golden throne and the rest of them are within a hundred meters of said golden throne. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_03]: They won't go anywhere. [SPEAKER_01]: They won't go for the people that are supposed to be the guy's that take care of all of these problems. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, and so with the custodes and the doing is they just become obsessed with the shame. [SPEAKER_03]: And it's a weird thing. [SPEAKER_03]: They were kind of just focused on the teachings. [SPEAKER_01]: They were they were close to the end. [SPEAKER_01]: The custodes were just going to not be custodes. [SPEAKER_01]: They were just like we we had one mission. [SPEAKER_01]: I mean, they had a hundred missions, but then the the thing they considered their core mission. [SPEAKER_01]: To them, they fail. [SPEAKER_03]: The one area that actually I couldn't figure out here and I read it enough times, then gave up some misleading it here as a question. [SPEAKER_03]: I don't know if the custodes were speak to the Emperor. [SPEAKER_01]: I think that this is probably unpopular opinion. [SPEAKER_01]: I think the custodes have always been in connection with the Emperor. [SPEAKER_01]: But the Emperor screwed, I'm going to take the Brad version of this because they wrote multiple things. [SPEAKER_01]: The Emperor, because he was fighting horse in Seoul, spirit, physical, everything. [SPEAKER_01]: The Emperor didn't get fell. [SPEAKER_01]: The Emperor got shattered into multiple nits. [SPEAKER_01]: They connect with the emperor and they speak to the emperor but speaking to the emperor is like speaking to a thousand personalities at the exact same time. [SPEAKER_03]: I like that take because that's the thing we know like we know only two times that people have spoken to the emperor and it was the that start of the sisters and then later it'll be [SPEAKER_01]: Also saying that the beginning of the sisters she has a conversation and then bad things happen does she though because the question I have is like, you know, is this a Wizard of Oz situation? [SPEAKER_03]: Where is it, you know, like, true? [SPEAKER_01]: Did you just speak to the custodians? [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, did you speak to the and there's some guy with a microphone behind at the golden throne saying, that guy's a dick, go kill him and she's like, all right, I'm on this. [SPEAKER_01]: I mean, also they weren't the whether it was the Emperor or not. [SPEAKER_03]: So what we really don't know what's going on are the custodes and communication with the emperor that is guarding the emperor because the thing about the custodes is they can keep a secret better than anybody. [SPEAKER_03]: I mean, there is nothing. [SPEAKER_03]: Make the dark angel seem like they don't have city. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_03]: Abby, and to the point where I, I, I referenced what I do when I talk about this, there is a mini black library under the, and the imperial palace, the custodians are in charge of that has everything the imperial has ever done going back through that they tell no one about it. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, this, this, by the way, these are records that go not just into the dark age of technology, but for the dark age of technology. [SPEAKER_01]: By the way, did everything to be a little bit of a dick about it? [SPEAKER_01]: The custodians have the answer to so many problems. [SPEAKER_03]: Everything. [SPEAKER_01]: And they just don't tell anybody. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, because well, the Emperor told me to be a secret. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and they're like, oh, that, we could solve that tomorrow. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, we know where every single world the Imperium has ever founded was was we know, we know everything. [SPEAKER_03]: Great, let's use that. [SPEAKER_03]: The Emperor said we couldn't. [SPEAKER_01]: And also we have only old technology to, but we're not going to. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, the Emperor said we're not going to talk about this, but you could save humanity. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_03]: What's we have, but he said we couldn't use. [SPEAKER_01]: They also have a banana amount. [SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to give my turn. [SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to give the banana pants amount of the Emperor has a shit ton of Xenos technology. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: Like just chilling out, which is also, he's such epic. [SPEAKER_01]: He's like, you have to kill all the Zenos, but also I have the world's largest repository of alien technics. [SPEAKER_03]: Well, yeah, I mean, I made a short list here of like, we know they know who and what happened to the missing primarx. [SPEAKER_03]: They know how to make a primarx. [SPEAKER_03]: They know what the emperor said to the gods in Malek. [SPEAKER_03]: They know how to make a man of iron. [SPEAKER_03]: They know what is actually powering Mars, spoiler alert, not a good thing. [SPEAKER_03]: I mean, this is, they know everything. [SPEAKER_03]: And now. [SPEAKER_03]: So then we're going to dive into what the cussos actually do, which is they put on black cloaks and wander around in the goffes. [SPEAKER_03]: which I was really hoping that Brad had a goth phase because that might dream I would give a lot of money to get a photo of nineteen eighty seven Brad. [SPEAKER_03]: It's not as a goth. [SPEAKER_01]: I know I did show you the picture which I'm going to share with the cast which is bullet Brad which a friend of mine found and went [SPEAKER_01]: It goes, I wasn't, it made a meme of it. [SPEAKER_01]: It's just me walking in my high school graduation, still in the eighties, by the way. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, it goes. [SPEAKER_03]: It's been nineteen eighty eight eighty nine is I mean, it goes. [SPEAKER_01]: The quote was, I wasn't always a douche. [SPEAKER_01]: Haha, just kidding. [SPEAKER_01]: I was like, I mean, why are you guys my friends? [SPEAKER_03]: God, yeah, I'm not surprised you had a mallet. [SPEAKER_03]: I'm a hundred percent you you had a lot you can always yeah, I mean the promise is a lot of business and the front going on for you There wasn't the time I know it was all party. [SPEAKER_03]: That's that's something get part of the back of this party in the front right you should have long hair [SPEAKER_03]: I did after. [SPEAKER_03]: So the custodes more seriously do sequester themselves away from the imperium and just don't interact with it. [SPEAKER_03]: And the imperium just begins to completely fall apart around the imperium implodes. [SPEAKER_01]: I actually think the beginning the first few thousand years and I know that's a huge amount of time. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: But things were kept together for a while until we had the fall of a couple of the primaries, specifically Bobby G, who gets felled. [SPEAKER_01]: But once we get some point, we should cover that in the podcast. [SPEAKER_01]: I'm just saying, once you lose a couple of the people that were [SPEAKER_03]: the administering part of the good administering. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, not the bad. [SPEAKER_01]: Not the four hundred miles of paperwork that doesn't. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: But once you started to lose those, it went a nose dive. [SPEAKER_01]: Like shit kept together. [SPEAKER_01]: It was bad. [SPEAKER_01]: And then it went to shit. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_03]: Fast and this is all happening to the point where we talked about last time like campers now thought man, but when the one guy killed all the lords of terror put himself in charge and like one custod popped his head out went oh [SPEAKER_03]: That's not good. [SPEAKER_03]: All right, hold on. [SPEAKER_03]: And they just, and they went and fixed it real quick and they went back and they were, they literally murdered everyone. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, we got this hold on. [SPEAKER_01]: But they didn't even set up new loads of tear. [SPEAKER_01]: They just went back home. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, there's like, all right, you're, you're fucking up. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, you guys are idiots, but we took care of that problem. [SPEAKER_03]: Your turn and just wandered off. [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_03]: But at this time, the custodians, though, they were not letting themselves fall apart. [SPEAKER_03]: They were actually still taking in noble children and making custodians. [SPEAKER_03]: No, no, no, no, no, no. [SPEAKER_03]: Because they also have no, I mean, if they're not a custodian anybody, it's the thing that there's no wars. [SPEAKER_03]: They're just living. [SPEAKER_03]: And then they're also importantly to kind of like the later portion. [SPEAKER_03]: They're working on their weaponry, their armor. [SPEAKER_03]: They're actually improving themselves. [SPEAKER_03]: And so this leads to kind of when it comes time to kind of come out of this, they're very much so ready to go. [SPEAKER_03]: But one thing that they did do, the one part of that would leave is one of my favorite parts of the custodes, which is the blood games. [SPEAKER_01]: which are super weird though. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, but this is such. [SPEAKER_01]: Okay. [SPEAKER_01]: I'm sorry. [SPEAKER_01]: You like this way more. [SPEAKER_03]: Because I should on GW writing on like ninety percent of these casts and every now and then they get one really right and I have things like so weird though. [SPEAKER_03]: No, but it's so clever though. [SPEAKER_03]: The idea, the problem because I agree with you on that, but it is still so. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_03]: So one of the biggest problems the custodes have is they can never fail at their task. [SPEAKER_03]: Their task is to keep the Emperor alive. [SPEAKER_03]: If they fail, the Emperor dies. [SPEAKER_03]: And there aren't a lot of threats in the galaxy that can actually hold up to them. [SPEAKER_00]: We'll be right back after a quick break. [SPEAKER_03]: Luckily, this is actually an pre-horous heresy [SPEAKER_03]: they get a glimpse into what they should be doing. [SPEAKER_03]: Thanks to not everyone's favorite primarke, but I've noticed a label who read a lot of lawyers favorite primarke, Alpharius. [SPEAKER_01]: Okay, because he's also doing some ninja shit. [SPEAKER_03]: Alpharius is pretty badass. [SPEAKER_03]: So, Alpharius, and I don't know the four reason why he did this, I think there was no reason one day decides to infiltrate the Imperial Palace. [SPEAKER_03]: I think it was in board. [SPEAKER_03]: He also [SPEAKER_01]: completely dresses up in a different deal to. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, yeah. [SPEAKER_03]: But so the outfit because Al Ferris, it's a little bit tricky if he can shape shit or not. [SPEAKER_03]: He may be able to or may have been able to because I don't even know if he's alive or dead. [SPEAKER_03]: No one does. [SPEAKER_03]: But Al Ferris is sneaking through the Imperial Palace bumps into a guard name whose name is Garudo or as I read the first time, Gardo, which I really wish GW had named him in Gardo. [SPEAKER_01]: He's doing this as a random exercise. [SPEAKER_03]: And he just murdered music. [SPEAKER_03]: But I just want to put out GW missed by, you can move two letters around. [SPEAKER_03]: And I could have had Gargardo with the guard. [SPEAKER_03]: And damn you, GW, I read that quickly and got super excited and then went, you know, for all, for all time now, John. [SPEAKER_01]: You should be guard over the guy. [SPEAKER_03]: You should be guard over the guy. [SPEAKER_03]: He should be guard over the guy who was on guard duty. [SPEAKER_03]: Anyway, Alfred was just martyrs him. [SPEAKER_03]: And then shoves his body in a locker and puts on his armor. [SPEAKER_03]: Just agent forty seven. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, which, again, it's why I think Alfa's may have been able to shape shift because Custod armor is custom fit to each Custod. [SPEAKER_01]: And it's not just Custod because it's custom like perfect. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, every in every way. [SPEAKER_03]: Because somehow, and this is, it's something Brad and I both have lived pretty heavily being focused on weight. [SPEAKER_03]: I mean, I do a weight class Brad also just was obsessed with how he used to look. [SPEAKER_01]: I love that you looked over with bread used. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I had that a pass after that. [SPEAKER_01]: He doesn't I contact. [SPEAKER_03]: I love I love bread to death and he's he's in the middle of of something. [SPEAKER_03]: But anyway, apparently custodes at once they reach maturity just don't change shape or size at all and never gain one inch anywhere. [SPEAKER_03]: Anyway, yeah, they can suck it for that ability. [SPEAKER_03]: So the, but alpharias puts on this custodes armor and just starts wandering through the, you know, the imperial palace, and team constantly involved or who we're going to later, who is the captain general of the custodes, looks at him, speaks to him and recognizes that the voice he's using doesn't match the voice of Gardo. [SPEAKER_03]: I'm just, but I'm doing Gardo from that one. [SPEAKER_03]: And his entire response is, hey, give me that spear back and don't kill anyone else. [SPEAKER_03]: He doesn't get mad at the prime market, just like, hey, don't do this again. [SPEAKER_01]: It's just basically how the custodes operate period though. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: Hey, well, this guy should have found it. [SPEAKER_01]: Should have won. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: Maybe you kill him, but like, no, you shouldn't. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: Should have not been killed. [SPEAKER_03]: I had to go pull the actual story here. [SPEAKER_03]: There wasn't, this wasn't even a firm talking to. [SPEAKER_03]: This was a solid, like, [SPEAKER_03]: Can you leave now, please? [SPEAKER_03]: And a Ferris went, all right. [SPEAKER_03]: But after a Ferris leaves Valdor has his moment of like, there's a hole in our system. [SPEAKER_01]: And also, should we do testing? [SPEAKER_01]: Well, yes, what kind of testing? [SPEAKER_01]: Let's make it super crazy. [SPEAKER_03]: What we need to do in order to keep ourselves the top of our game is we do employ custodes to come and try and kill the emperor. [SPEAKER_01]: Like action and they're full on. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: Murder everyone in play. [SPEAKER_03]: They do pull out at the very last second. [SPEAKER_03]: We do we know this because of another Captain general who successfully succeeded in two blood games and the Emperor's not dead. [SPEAKER_03]: So I have to go with. [SPEAKER_03]: All right. [SPEAKER_01]: They don't stand the Emperor in the face. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: But yeah, this is like which would by the way fix a lot of things. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, and these stories, by the way, are nuts. [SPEAKER_03]: And the tenth edition has a story about it right now. [SPEAKER_03]: And then there's going, is great. [SPEAKER_03]: We're going to build higher assassins, like a physio assassin, or the launch attacks in Imperial Palace, the new, like they'll, they get like pirates to do a attack. [SPEAKER_03]: They'll try to sneak in themselves and they build the throats of a bunch of custodes. [SPEAKER_01]: Let's talk about the, like, screw it. [SPEAKER_01]: We couldn't get an assassin in. [SPEAKER_01]: How much have we teleported new? [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, this is in. [SPEAKER_03]: So the Tenth Edition Codex, I'm not even gonna address what comes up in that if you have an issue with it, you're an asshole. [SPEAKER_03]: But anyway, the custodia, the her plan is because her deal with it is to teleport a tactical nuke. [SPEAKER_03]: into the Imperial Palace. [SPEAKER_03]: Right, and gets caught like right before she does. [SPEAKER_03]: Like it's super pathetic. [SPEAKER_03]: That's how hard they're going for this. [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, there's a story where they actually captured a bunch of heretic authorities and released them inside of the Imperial Palace. [SPEAKER_01]: It was back up on the tactical news. [SPEAKER_01]: She was going to let the new go off. [SPEAKER_01]: Maybe. [SPEAKER_01]: I mean, we don't know. [SPEAKER_01]: I feel like a hundred percent. [SPEAKER_03]: I get you right out. [SPEAKER_03]: It's actually really cool if you don't have access to the book. [SPEAKER_03]: Just go read it. [SPEAKER_03]: It's it's two pages in the Tenth Edition Codex. [SPEAKER_03]: Let's go to your games or read it. [SPEAKER_03]: It's a cool story where like she talks about like being able to sense the telepitarium like as the guest notes teleported onto the bridge and they're like, oh, hey, we caught you. [SPEAKER_03]: And then what they do with the crew is freaking mess. [SPEAKER_03]: It's really, it's, that was like, oh, this is, this is some good writing. [SPEAKER_03]: Good job, good job, GW. [SPEAKER_03]: But this is done. [SPEAKER_03]: Just keep the custodians a massive hiler at all times, because they're not just trying to keep Captain Dumb Dumb from you, just regular human from derping into the palace and killing the emperor. [SPEAKER_03]: They're ready for anything. [SPEAKER_01]: Well, what are the biggest things about protecting emperor now? [SPEAKER_01]: We have to dive to point this out. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, because it used to be just the guy in the throne. [SPEAKER_01]: He's power in the astronomical and he's defending the imp, the imp, the imp, the imp versus chaos incursions. [SPEAKER_01]: This is, went to the tent. [SPEAKER_03]: You know, this is because, and they know, just like apidon knows, the impurium revolves around the emperor. [SPEAKER_01]: Well, it's also the emperor has become significantly more. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, then he was before, and he's also the figurehead. [SPEAKER_03]: He is the god emperor, and I would argue, he's also weaker than before in this sense of this was that he's more mortal than not weaker. [SPEAKER_03]: He's more mortal than before. [SPEAKER_03]: So if you could get because before, like we think like pre-horus killing him, you break into the imperial throne, right? [SPEAKER_03]: You're now facing the emperor. [SPEAKER_03]: Like not a negative parade situation. [SPEAKER_01]: The Emperor is sitting on the throne doing, again, why he's fractured. [SPEAKER_01]: I mean, he had fractured in the thing, but he's doing so much. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: He's legitimately fighting. [SPEAKER_03]: And it's possible you could just unplug him and he would die. [SPEAKER_03]: That's where we're at. [SPEAKER_01]: But he's also on the cusp of becoming a god. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: So like, [SPEAKER_01]: There's a lot of entities that are like, yeah, I'd really like that not to happen. [SPEAKER_01]: You know, so people are actively, you know, we used to send a guy every couple years. [SPEAKER_01]: Now we're like, how about every day, every second? [SPEAKER_03]: We're gonna, we're gonna find a way to get to this guy and just kill him. [SPEAKER_01]: We have almost unlimited resources. [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, yeah, chaos, they do. [SPEAKER_01]: And then we have cultists, we have everything else. [SPEAKER_01]: And the thing is, is that they try and hide loads of terror, which sucks. [SPEAKER_03]: So much fun to watch back episode about this. [SPEAKER_03]: Do you think they could poison him? [SPEAKER_03]: I would stop playing for the candy poisoning. [SPEAKER_03]: But he doesn't have the organs. [SPEAKER_03]: However, could he prevent it? [SPEAKER_01]: The embryo poisoned a bunch of so many babies. [SPEAKER_01]: That's the baby's of course. [SPEAKER_03]: By the way, the custodes spend this like ten thousand years just sitting inside the imperium and then they stop and this happens because of kind of two things happening in tandem. [SPEAKER_03]: and we'll jump into them now. [SPEAKER_03]: So the first one is they're actually all revolving, Gilliman's return. [SPEAKER_01]: Bobby G shows up and effectively stumps into the golden throne. [SPEAKER_03]: Well, it's more than that. [SPEAKER_03]: So he's got Bobby G. [SPEAKER_03]: gets resurrected by the end of our god of death. [SPEAKER_03]: Then goes on a chaos asking request. [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, he goes buckwheat. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, he's not. [SPEAKER_03]: He's so angry when he wakes up. [SPEAKER_01]: And well, he's so pissed also. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, there's a religion. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, but he's basically, well, because that's that's why the stories are great because he wakes up and just goes on a chaos asking request. [SPEAKER_03]: Then discover is that all the people on his side are worshiping a god, which he then discovers is his dad, which his dad was super against. [SPEAKER_03]: So then he's like, well, screw this thing. [SPEAKER_03]: I'm going to terror, but the whole way to terror, chaos keeps getting in the way to which he keeps just asking those to all the chaos. [SPEAKER_01]: It's wrecking them. [SPEAKER_03]: Yes, it's so many first. [SPEAKER_03]: If you don't like Bobby G, I'm sorry, read the books. [SPEAKER_03]: You will like him. [SPEAKER_03]: He is a champion of champions. [SPEAKER_03]: Anyway, he eventually gets to Luna where shit goes south pretty quick and he gets his ass saved basically by by the custodes and afterwards his great thank you to the custodes is cool. [SPEAKER_03]: I'm going to talk to the emperor now. [SPEAKER_01]: Also, not even just I'm going to talk to the Emperor. [SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to talk to the Emperor. [SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to be back in a moment. [SPEAKER_01]: And also, I'm not super happy with anything. [SPEAKER_03]: You guys also suck by the way. [SPEAKER_01]: I'll be back tomorrow with a full [SPEAKER_01]: somebody's going to put their cover letters on the TPS report. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, we are. [SPEAKER_03]: I am not happy. [SPEAKER_03]: Anyway, he comes out of me with the Emperor declares himself Lord Commander of the Imperium. [SPEAKER_03]: No one says shit about that by the way. [SPEAKER_03]: Who is going to say this is your plan? [SPEAKER_03]: I just like the fact that he does that he goes, I am now the Lord Commander of the Imperium. [SPEAKER_03]: Everyone went. [SPEAKER_01]: Also, the thing is that you have to ask, what sort of communication he had? [SPEAKER_01]: Because Bobby, you sent for a while. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, this is actually much longer than what's or not going in this. [SPEAKER_01]: Like he had a long. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_03]: Psychic communication, whatever he did. [SPEAKER_03]: Doesn't say a word about the ecclesiarchy. [SPEAKER_03]: Nope. [SPEAKER_03]: Not a single word. [SPEAKER_03]: Side note there. [SPEAKER_03]: Not a single word. [SPEAKER_01]: But Bobby G is there's pragmatists and then there's Bobby G pragmatism. [SPEAKER_01]: And he just went, I'm going to make this work. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_03]: And so the big thing for the custodes at Bobby G does is he comes out and tells the custodes. [SPEAKER_03]: You're no longer on guard duty, ditch the stupid black cloaks. [SPEAKER_03]: That's over. [SPEAKER_03]: He and you are on offense. [SPEAKER_01]: He gives them. [SPEAKER_01]: He kind of shames them. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, Bobby G comes out and goes, I don't know what you've been doing for ten thousand years, but it's not. [SPEAKER_03]: They're certain it seemed to be a lot of you and you're not really doing anything with that. [SPEAKER_03]: So how much you get in a ship and go kick some ass? [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, let's work. [SPEAKER_01]: We're doing some [SPEAKER_03]: which in the positive side, the custodes are like, ah, yeah, fair enough. [SPEAKER_03]: Let's go do this and thereby break Brad's soul because this also coincides with two thousand seventeen, where they then were given models and then proceeded to lose to Imperial Guarding. [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, [SPEAKER_03]: Ask true. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_03]: He couldn't even his Lord Commander of the Imperium. [SPEAKER_03]: He still doesn't have a thought. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: One that always dots his eyes and crosses his teeth. [SPEAKER_01]: Bobby G knew that he did not have authority of the customers. [SPEAKER_01]: Yes. [SPEAKER_01]: So while he does talk, shit to them and calls them out for their bravery and everything else. [SPEAKER_01]: He has to in the end still ask of that. [SPEAKER_03]: Can you guys please come with me on on my quest? [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, he talks a mountain of shit before. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, yeah, but then he has to ask. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, it's like, and after all of that, you guys would you pretty pleased to be pleased to get the car because we have to go somewhere. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, like also, I know that I just talked a mountain of crap to you. [SPEAKER_03]: But also, please, please. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_03]: So from there, I want to spend a little bit of time on the captain generals of the custodian cars. [SPEAKER_03]: It was hard from his, obviously, I'm an absolute structure point to where to put these guys in because anything we talk about in around kind of like, Forty K lore, always kind of, it's always in our twines, brutally. [SPEAKER_01]: The problem is, is that they, [SPEAKER_03]: I mean, I do my cover-causing in Valdoor and then cover, uh, Trajan. [SPEAKER_03]: Trajan, like, uh, later, I just went to the back to back. [SPEAKER_03]: So that's why we're doing this. [SPEAKER_01]: So the problem is everybody in the middle doesn't do anything. [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, yeah. [SPEAKER_03]: So there's, well, I'm going to talk about that. [SPEAKER_03]: So we'll start with, like, the Captain General is the highest ranking custodian. [SPEAKER_03]: And I have to give GW credit. [SPEAKER_03]: This is a real military rank. [SPEAKER_03]: Captain General exists in most militaries in the world. [SPEAKER_03]: It is the highest ranking military officer in most militaries. [SPEAKER_03]: So [SPEAKER_03]: They just went, they just copied it. [SPEAKER_03]: And this person has three roles. [SPEAKER_03]: He's the absolute commander of the customs. [SPEAKER_03]: So all the custodians listen to him and he reports the emperor. [SPEAKER_01]: And I want to make this a side note again, the custodes are a completely independent fifting force. [SPEAKER_03]: Yep. [SPEAKER_03]: No one has the they report they report. [SPEAKER_03]: All custodes report up to the captain general, the captain general reports the emperor full stop. [SPEAKER_01]: No one can say shit about shit. [SPEAKER_01]: So the captain general is a [SPEAKER_01]: powerful. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_03]: My favorite one he has is the second rule, which he has the authority of who's allowed access to the Imperial Palace in the Golden Throne. [SPEAKER_03]: And he's currently sitting at a ninety nine point nine nine nine nine nine nine continue that for infinity. [SPEAKER_03]: No rate. [SPEAKER_03]: We are aware of two people who he said yes to ever. [SPEAKER_03]: And one of those basically snuck in. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_03]: And then the third one he has, and there's some moves around a little bit is a high load of terror. [SPEAKER_03]: There were times where they were, there's a couple of guys who were not actually for little bits of, it reads a time. [SPEAKER_03]: But yeah, this I also like a lot because there are twelve high lords of terror. [SPEAKER_03]: Not, I think once a fabricator general of Mars, always the other one is a custod. [SPEAKER_03]: Please be arky. [SPEAKER_03]: Well, yeah, but I'm going to hit the other ten or humans. [SPEAKER_03]: There's a borderline God in the room. [SPEAKER_01]: Oh, yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: That's the deal. [SPEAKER_01]: Weird. [SPEAKER_01]: If you get into a heated argument, you're like, [SPEAKER_01]: I hope the God doesn't kill us. [SPEAKER_03]: He's three time and he's three times the size of all the rest of them could probably just murder them all if you felt like you think he can also kill them so fast that they wouldn't know they're being. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: If you had a button that you had to push. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, like this stop him might not be able to hit the button. [SPEAKER_03]: So I just enjoy this idea of like, again, going back to the Chris Hemsworth and Thor Ragnarac. [SPEAKER_03]: Actually, actually, this is more the Hulk and Thor Ragnarac sitting there and like, I'm also on the council, everyone's like. [SPEAKER_03]: Well, what are your qualifications? [SPEAKER_03]: So a little bit just what? [SPEAKER_01]: You guys, you know, you're right. [SPEAKER_01]: Someone should escort me out. [SPEAKER_01]: I'll wait for it. [SPEAKER_03]: Exactly. [SPEAKER_03]: You guys want to tell you what. [SPEAKER_03]: I'll go stand in the doorway. [SPEAKER_03]: Let's see if all the left of you can push me out of it. [SPEAKER_01]: I'm actually super excited to talk about Trajan, but we're gonna talk about Valder. [SPEAKER_03]: Let's start with Valder. [SPEAKER_03]: So, Valder has actually a lot more lore. [SPEAKER_01]: But also, Valder might be top three coolest dudes in the Imperium. [SPEAKER_03]: He's also the most evil and the most noble of the Imperium. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, he's like the jinx. [SPEAKER_01]: It's Dick Cheney and Power. [SPEAKER_03]: He's horrifying. [SPEAKER_03]: So Valdor, injured in Starheet, they believe he is the first custod ever made. [SPEAKER_03]: He's definitely the first to impure to ever appear in Imperial record, but the rumor is he was the first successful custod made by the emperor. [SPEAKER_03]: He was there for all the unification wars and he did. [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, all of the bad shit. [SPEAKER_03]: I mean, he, so first off, he, it was him. [SPEAKER_03]: He was part of, this is before the Lord's of terror. [SPEAKER_03]: They called him to the triumph of the Emperor. [SPEAKER_03]: His him, the Emperor and Malkador were the ones who were in charge. [SPEAKER_03]: So every secret of the Imperium went through him. [SPEAKER_03]: And when Malkador and the Emperor needed something done, they would send him. [SPEAKER_01]: Melkador did messed up shit. [SPEAKER_01]: Valdeur did. [SPEAKER_01]: Whoa, dude. [SPEAKER_03]: Like one of my favorite things about Valdo, Valdo was Valdo or New Everything. [SPEAKER_03]: So when the primarx got whisked away by chaos all around, Valdo wanted to go kill them all. [SPEAKER_03]: his viewpoint was that there's no way the chaos gods would have grabbed these primarks and not corrupted them. [SPEAKER_03]: Let me and my custodes go and find them all and murder. [SPEAKER_01]: We're just going to stand every one of them. [SPEAKER_03]: Yes, we're going to go kill every primarks. [SPEAKER_01]: Dude, Valdoor is so, like I said, that's bad. [SPEAKER_01]: Not the door is the guy doing the puppet strings and making everything happen. [SPEAKER_01]: Valdoor is the guy that's standing over. [SPEAKER_01]: He's like, oh, I didn't hire anybody to kill the guy. [SPEAKER_03]: I just killed. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, like this. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, but I just thought that Valdor's plan was to kill every primarge, which if you know that story, now think of all the times you read Horace Heresy novels. [SPEAKER_03]: Like, well, Valdor was kind of a dick to the primarks. [SPEAKER_03]: Yes, because he was convinced they were all chaos corrupted before they were chaos corrupted. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, you fit me. [SPEAKER_03]: Fifty percent. [SPEAKER_03]: I'm right. [SPEAKER_03]: Maybe be more like sex Panther. [SPEAKER_03]: Fifty percent. [SPEAKER_01]: Every. [SPEAKER_03]: But yeah, he did all the horrible stuff. [SPEAKER_03]: So he killed all the Thunder Warriors. [SPEAKER_03]: He was known as a merchant of death for the noble houses. [SPEAKER_03]: So if in no, if one of the nobles and something bad, that noble and all of their family was the same. [SPEAKER_01]: You said like he killed he killed yes. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: Like, hey, man, I'm out here washing the tires. [SPEAKER_01]: You're like, sorry, bro. [SPEAKER_01]: Shouldn't work for this house. [SPEAKER_03]: Who are my favorite stories on them, though? [SPEAKER_03]: Because this we talked about earlier with his viewpoint. [SPEAKER_03]: We should just kill all the primarks. [SPEAKER_03]: He was with Lehman Russ when Lehman's sack prosper. [SPEAKER_03]: He was completely aware that the emperor said bring Magnus back here and was like, I mean, [SPEAKER_03]: I felt it was just like so you're gonna go kill one of the primarks you know I see this is a net positive not only do I support this I'm gonna help I could tell you what he actually said but yeah I was there with you when he said it I have a perfect memory and you're really correct all the things you're about to do Horace is wrong [SPEAKER_03]: But I think I'm about to go kill one of these stupid demon primarcs, so I'm super into this, right? [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_03]: He also created the officio assassinoro. [SPEAKER_01]: This is his biggest dick. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: He created it. [SPEAKER_01]: I. We're gonna. [SPEAKER_01]: I got to get my cheat together. [SPEAKER_03]: And I'm doing the cheap, mojo, right? [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, Brad also does a thing. [SPEAKER_03]: Come see us in person at an event. [SPEAKER_03]: Um, we'll be a, uh, this will be this. [SPEAKER_03]: Yes. [SPEAKER_03]: I was going to say come see me at something that happens to me and I'll able consume our cast like months after we publish them. [SPEAKER_03]: So that's why I stopped like, Hey, come see us at an event. [SPEAKER_03]: People like, Oh, I loved it. [SPEAKER_03]: When is that? [SPEAKER_03]: It was a year and a half ago. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: But he knew. [SPEAKER_01]: what he was making when he made the. [SPEAKER_01]: This that's an orom. [SPEAKER_01]: Yes. [SPEAKER_01]: And the thing is, is that we're going to get into it in another cast assassins are so much more horrifying that you understand. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: It is nightmare escape. [SPEAKER_01]: Holy shit. [SPEAKER_01]: What's going on? [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: He was like. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I know. [SPEAKER_03]: The vinda cares the best assassin to be. [SPEAKER_03]: It should be accurate. [SPEAKER_03]: That was always the rest of them. [SPEAKER_01]: The rest of them are again. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: Nightmare. [SPEAKER_03]: We're gonna have some fun with that one. [SPEAKER_03]: So, but Valdohr does eventually come doing that. [SPEAKER_03]: And he's a Valdohr is actually does teleport. [SPEAKER_03]: So kind of the end of Valdohr is this. [SPEAKER_03]: Valdohr teleports onto the vengeful spirit with the emperor with a bunch of custodians but gets separated. [SPEAKER_03]: And he wakes up just, you know, with it, because though it's realizing, he's nowhere near the emperor. [SPEAKER_03]: And just goes on an asking mission through it. [SPEAKER_01]: This is a tactically, the dumbest thing I've ever heard, but it's so bad. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, he wakes up realizing the emperor's way too far away from him. [SPEAKER_03]: He's probably doesn't feel the emperor. [SPEAKER_01]: He'll probably come up with a plan, just assumes that he's too far away and just goes into it. [SPEAKER_03]: And it says, well, fine, I'm going to kill everybody. [SPEAKER_03]: and him in it and the custodians just start asking their way through the ship. [SPEAKER_03]: And we're talking potentially tens of thousands of demons and chaos marines just get slaughtered by an exceptionally angry custod. [SPEAKER_01]: He's wrecking everyone. [SPEAKER_01]: Bad plan, but awesome. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_03]: And you guys should read the book because it's a great scene where he comes face to face with a bad man. [SPEAKER_01]: This is one of the best dialogues. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: For sure. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, and it's I'm not going to foreshadow it. [SPEAKER_03]: It's just, but just go ahead and read it. [SPEAKER_03]: I was going to write a bunch of stuff about it, but read it. [SPEAKER_03]: It's one of the best parts of the entire book actually is his interaction with Abadon. [SPEAKER_03]: Anyway, ever get stabbed, he feels terrible about it. [SPEAKER_03]: And one day he just walks out of the imperial palace puts his armor down, everything down, and just says only in death. [SPEAKER_03]: And he want to read more about him read the pariah novels, because [SPEAKER_03]: He's not dead. [SPEAKER_03]: He's out there doing work for the emperor and it's some really good stuff. [SPEAKER_03]: And I'm like, cover here for the emperor. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: Valdo's a dick. [SPEAKER_03]: Valdo's a horrifying dick, but I just get a kick. [SPEAKER_03]: But he's also, I mean, he's probably influential. [SPEAKER_01]: Yes. [SPEAKER_01]: But he's a little, he's, I got to pause this when I say he's taking, he's crazy loyal. [SPEAKER_01]: But also, he's the guy in the mob movies where they have the guy that's always doing terrible shit and the main guy's like, dude, please stop murdering everyone. [SPEAKER_01]: And he's like, but that's, I thought that would be the best thing for you. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, that's just makes sense. [SPEAKER_01]: That's what Velar, why are you guys in lead out? [SPEAKER_03]: But yes, let's fast forward now, ten thousand years, because there's a bond which is why not. [SPEAKER_03]: Well, it's because all there are all the customers have a little bit of a moment like one guy fought in the war of the beast. [SPEAKER_03]: One guy did, it's just, it's all right, but who gives it? [SPEAKER_03]: They don't do enough shit. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, it's like they get a pair. [SPEAKER_01]: If you're going to be emo for ten thousand years, yeah, you don't get a lot. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, you don't get props. [SPEAKER_03]: So we now get up to modern forty-k, where we have Trajan Velouris, who's a captain general of the Custodes currently and Trajan [SPEAKER_03]: is considered maybe he is the greatest warrior in the Imperium, Trovabi, G's back. [SPEAKER_03]: So it's a little bit dicey on how this one goes. [SPEAKER_03]: Tragedon, so badass. [SPEAKER_03]: So he has, he holds the record. [SPEAKER_03]: He's complete for successfully completing two different blood games. [SPEAKER_03]: So he's outsmarted and outfought innumerable custodes. [SPEAKER_03]: He single-handed a gene-sular cult in the infection invasion. [SPEAKER_03]: He broke up, I think, one or two wogs. [SPEAKER_03]: And that's the two. [SPEAKER_03]: Sorry. [SPEAKER_03]: And that's just the stuff that's public knowledge. [SPEAKER_03]: Like this is like, Trajan has been waging wars for the Imperium forever. [SPEAKER_03]: We simply though. [SPEAKER_01]: Dude, this is such a one read the stories. [SPEAKER_01]: Yep, they're this is very right. [SPEAKER_01]: Or wildly not going to do this justice. [SPEAKER_03]: Man, they want you to be to give us money. [SPEAKER_03]: I got to sell books. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, we go. [SPEAKER_03]: Let's sell some GW books by just giving you. [SPEAKER_03]: By doing cliff notes, they have not called. [SPEAKER_03]: That once. [SPEAKER_03]: Now once. [SPEAKER_03]: No, once. [SPEAKER_03]: I could see why they haven't. [SPEAKER_03]: I've heard. [SPEAKER_03]: I've heard my words. [SPEAKER_01]: Also, again, I think it's hilarious that the guys that are psychically bonded the emperor, the lords of terror were like, you're definitely going to betray him. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: And you're all just useless to me. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: And then when we didn't have the last moment and then when [SPEAKER_01]: How did you not see this coming? [SPEAKER_03]: It is really good. [SPEAKER_03]: Let's dive into Trajan just real quick. [SPEAKER_03]: So Trajan may or may not have been in possession of an artifact to let him see the future and the return of Gilliman. [SPEAKER_03]: So Trajan takes control right at the start of Abbott on his thirteenth black crusade. [SPEAKER_03]: And his main task, aside from all the ask, kicking used to him. [SPEAKER_03]: He starts really ramping up the crystal. [SPEAKER_01]: He starts mobilizing. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, it starts getting them ready to be. [SPEAKER_01]: to be deployed for no reason, because he starts getting them ready to be an attacking force as opposed to an offensive force. [SPEAKER_01]: And he explains how we're going to do this. [SPEAKER_01]: He also separates the custones. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, he makes the shield host. [SPEAKER_03]: And so eventually, as we just discussed, Gilliman comes back, gives them all a pretty firm talking to followed by a polite request. [SPEAKER_01]: which is so good. [SPEAKER_03]: It's just great, by the way. [SPEAKER_03]: And, you know, to be fair, Trajans all in, so they begin, they begin the full mobilization. [SPEAKER_03]: Trajans also takes a much more active role in the lords of terror than ever before, because he decides that, fine, if the custodians are going to be this aggressive fighting force, then we're going to know what's going on in the impairing that we're going to be. [SPEAKER_03]: And we're going to actually take real charge of this. [SPEAKER_03]: He, he does some cool shit. [SPEAKER_01]: Well, let's go into, we're going to talk about a lot of shit, but one of the, I know it's going to sound, one of the coolest bureaucracy. [SPEAKER_01]: That's what he does, which sound super lame compared to the rest of the shit we're going to talk about, but he does start slicing through red tape like Voltron. [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, yeah, because he realizes there's an issue. [SPEAKER_03]: I mean, like, we've got forces of chaos over us. [SPEAKER_03]: So what's he do? [SPEAKER_03]: He takes gray nights and partners in with custodes to go fight significant de-modic incursions. [SPEAKER_03]: We've got rebellions all over the place. [SPEAKER_03]: Cool. [SPEAKER_03]: Custos and the inquisition you guys are going to work together. [SPEAKER_03]: We've got trader legions waging battles. [SPEAKER_03]: Custos and space marines. [SPEAKER_03]: We're going to go there. [SPEAKER_03]: This is what he does. [SPEAKER_03]: But his biggest one that we covered this on the on the tyranny cast a little bit, but we've been a little bit more time right here. [SPEAKER_03]: Tragedon detects that high fleet Leviathan when it comes back into the galaxy. [SPEAKER_03]: We're talking about launch of in the galaxy. [SPEAKER_03]: One of the tendrils is pretty damn close to the soul. [SPEAKER_01]: And it's for sure. [SPEAKER_03]: And it's coming to soul. [SPEAKER_03]: And he grabs. [SPEAKER_03]: Tristodes, guardsmen, death watch, sisters, specifically death watch on there. [SPEAKER_01]: Because he takes all of the death watch. [SPEAKER_01]: Then again, are focused on killing Zenos, specifically tenants. [SPEAKER_03]: Also, don't pray, but also he has the ultramarine ones. [SPEAKER_03]: Yes. [SPEAKER_03]: He's named them for getting off top. [SPEAKER_03]: Traitor veterans, drive war veterans, all of them, and he takes out a hive tenderl. [SPEAKER_03]: Just so looks it. [SPEAKER_03]: Well, that's a little bit. [SPEAKER_03]: The orders. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, they just go through and remove it from existence. [SPEAKER_03]: Like, yeah, because remember, when you, when you kill a hive tenderl, they usually split into new hives, not this one, this one's all gone. [SPEAKER_03]: Yep. [SPEAKER_03]: They think decimated. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, and so now what we have is coming to the forty first millennia. [SPEAKER_03]: Basically the feet of the imperium is sitting in the hands of the of Trajan and Gilliman, although as of like a year ago now also line Johnson to do a better job in that code acts. [SPEAKER_03]: I can fix it. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I can't fix it. [SPEAKER_03]: But the ideas, Trajan and the custodes are [SPEAKER_03]: now here to deliver the Imperium from the darkness into the light. [SPEAKER_01]: Well, they're moving the shakers and they're not just great warriors. [SPEAKER_01]: They're great diplomats. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, great. [SPEAKER_01]: He's Bobby and Bobby G level, but like still a wildly great bureaucrat. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: He's slicing through. [SPEAKER_01]: Hey, the Imperium is going to collapse. [SPEAKER_03]: Well, the adventure has that he is a Lord of terror and the lords of terror are all afraid of them. [SPEAKER_03]: So he can kind of do whatever he wants from a rule stamp. [SPEAKER_01]: Once a big thing that he's making things happen though, and hey, man, the I have terror became the rift of chaos. [SPEAKER_01]: She had this happening everywhere. [SPEAKER_01]: Terence are coming to get us. [SPEAKER_01]: I'm pretty done with all of her. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, you're in fight. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, this has been this has been cute. [SPEAKER_03]: I was I was hanging out in the palace for a while. [SPEAKER_03]: I'm done with I'm going to stretch my legs. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, exactly. [SPEAKER_01]: He's like Bobby G's doing that. [SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to fix all of this and also you can get on board or I have a weapon that's [SPEAKER_01]: wildly larger than you are, and I would kill him. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I also have a musical idea. [SPEAKER_03]: So I can use my real weapon to kill you or just this. [SPEAKER_01]: This is my backup. [SPEAKER_03]: Or my backup stabby thing. [SPEAKER_03]: Or you know what, I'll just use this piece of paper. [SPEAKER_03]: I mean, like, he could John Wick the situation pretty quick. [SPEAKER_01]: For sure. [SPEAKER_01]: And the thing is, is that I, one of the things I love about change in, and I love great words. [SPEAKER_01]: Don't get me wrong. [SPEAKER_01]: I love great stories, but I just love the fact that this guy is as imposing in every theater. [SPEAKER_01]: You know what I mean? [SPEAKER_01]: It doesn't matter if he's in a meeting, if he's on a battlefield, you know, he's every time he is the master of his environment. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: And that's what makes him a great excites him. [SPEAKER_03]: But he's a great character. [SPEAKER_03]: his rules are useless, and the model, and then I actually, I mean, me as I, I mean, yell if it's, I hate the model. [SPEAKER_01]: It was so good. [SPEAKER_03]: Last and really, before the codex, I, I, I, I, I, I, I, but have you ever played Gusto? [SPEAKER_03]: No, no. [SPEAKER_03]: Okay. [SPEAKER_03]: Have you ever seen the size of Gilliman or the size of Lion, and then seen the size of Trajan? [SPEAKER_01]: He is tiny. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_03]: and he's supposed to be primarxized. [SPEAKER_03]: He might actually, he should be macarious. [SPEAKER_03]: That's my point. [SPEAKER_03]: That's my issue. [SPEAKER_01]: Is that the carry-up banner? [SPEAKER_03]: This is actually like my biggest issue because I actually, a couple of times, he's smaller than regular. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_03]: Didn't even realize that did you? [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_01]: I just started thinking about it. [SPEAKER_01]: He's like, he's actually smaller than a ward. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_03]: It's driven me nuts for a while that when I play against people of course, I wouldn't have built a custod army and that was what helped me back. [SPEAKER_03]: He actually can't. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, all the more though. [SPEAKER_03]: All the custodes are the same size as a primary sparing. [SPEAKER_01]: That's a no. [SPEAKER_03]: About the same size they should be. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, the Gilliman model is thirty percent. [SPEAKER_01]: I mean, I have to I don't have a. This is why you had to psych me out before this. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, exactly. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, because that's that's the disappointment. [SPEAKER_03]: Sorry, my on that disappointing note will actually break until next week. [SPEAKER_03]: So next week, we're actually going to cover someone I like a lot in the lore and God, their rules are useless. [SPEAKER_03]: This is a silence. [SPEAKER_03]: Models are called horrible pain in the acetate. [SPEAKER_03]: Laws incredible. [SPEAKER_01]: They did fix them in addition yet. [SPEAKER_03]: Tantodition rules are decently okay, but not great. [SPEAKER_03]: And we'll cover that. [SPEAKER_03]: So until next week, this has been John Barisade and Brad Chester. [SPEAKER_03]: This guy.
