<v Speaker 4>So I was on set and I was walking out
<v Speaker 4>of a sliding door which had stepping stones with like
<v Speaker 4>like dirt around it, you know, like the and I
<v Speaker 4>want to go step on a stepping stone and I
<v Speaker 4>hit the edge and I just rolled and I thought
<v Speaker 4>it was a major sprain, Like I went down and
<v Speaker 4>everyone came running, and I was like.
<v Speaker 3>Breathing through the pain for a.
<v Speaker 4>Second, and we iced it, and I was like, the
<v Speaker 4>director came.
<v Speaker 3>And then you finished the scene?
<v Speaker 4>Wall I did? I finished the scene? Yes, I finished this. No,
<v Speaker 4>I finished the scene. I it was a missoghine anyway.
<v Speaker 4>So I was like, oh, I don't need to be standing.

<v Speaker 2>scene and feature danced three shows on a broken foot.
<v Speaker 3>Yeah.
<v Speaker 4>So uh when the heeling like so it swallowed up
<v Speaker 4>like if you looked at both of my feet. You
<v Speaker 4>would think they were from two different people.
<v Speaker 3>Yeah.
<v Speaker 4>It was horrible and very let's just say, very uncomfortable.
<v Speaker 3>Yeah.
<v Speaker 2>Uh.
<v Speaker 4>And I had it wrapped, double wrapped everything. Once the
<v Speaker 4>swelling you went down and the bruising went down, I
<v Speaker 4>was like, Gray, it's just you know. But then I
<v Speaker 4>felt some thing hard on the edge of my foot
<v Speaker 4>and I was like, I fractured it. So I went
<v Speaker 4>I got three opinions. I went to urgent care first,
<v Speaker 4>and a didn't X ray and they're like, yes, you
<v Speaker 4>broke your foot. So then I went to a foot doctor.
<v Speaker 3>Because they didn't want to believe it. I didn't want
<v Speaker 3>to believe that. You're like, no, I didn't.
<v Speaker 4>I was like, oh, I'm just being I'm just being
<v Speaker 4>a baby, and you just it's fine. Like and I
<v Speaker 4>went to a foot doctor and he was like, you
<v Speaker 4>broke So basically, I broke my fifth metatarsal and he
<v Speaker 4>explained it to me, which is really great because I
<v Speaker 4>know the body, but I don't know like exactly. There's
<v Speaker 4>three ligaments when it comes to your ankle, and usually
<v Speaker 4>when you like twist your ankle, it's the front one,
<v Speaker 4>like it's overstretched and that's how you sprain your ankle,
<v Speaker 4>and the other two are very rare, but you can.
<v Speaker 4>So my ankle was sprained, but when I rolled my foot,
<v Speaker 4>that legama was trying to get your foot to go
<v Speaker 4>back to normal, and basically that's what happened. It broke
<v Speaker 4>my foot and pulled the bo off basically, so there
<v Speaker 4>was too much.
<v Speaker 2>Wait, wait, so did your foot break because your ligament
<v Speaker 2>was trying to pull it. Yeah, so your foot broke later, No,
<v Speaker 2>it was broke.
<v Speaker 4>So when you roll, the ligament is trying to pull
<v Speaker 4>it back when it's already broken. It was a three
<v Speaker 4>week break so that before I went into to figure
<v Speaker 4>out what I was going to do with it. Uh,
<v Speaker 4>And he basically said there was so much of a
<v Speaker 4>gap because the ligament was now pulling on that bone
<v Speaker 4>fragment that it wasn't healing. So he was like, you're
<v Speaker 4>going to need surgery and uh. I also went to
<v Speaker 4>an orthopedic as well, and uh. He wanted me in
<v Speaker 4>a boot for like four months. So this is this
<v Speaker 4>was more of a you have six weeks and I
<v Speaker 4>was like, great, that's fine, I'll do six weeks in
<v Speaker 4>a boot.
<v Speaker 3>But they had to put a screw and I had.
<v Speaker 4>I found out what on Tuesday and went into surgery
<v Speaker 4>on Thursday.
<v Speaker 3>Wow, how did you dance on it? Like, seriously, how
<v Speaker 3>did you look? First one?
<v Speaker 4>So when I went to uh Philadelphia Cheerleaders, which I've
<v Speaker 4>danced this guy. I think that was like my third
<v Speaker 4>or fourth time being there, they already knew about it.
<v Speaker 4>They and I did not stand on it at all.
<v Speaker 4>I was on the floor on my knees the entire time.
<v Speaker 3>Did you like waddling on stage on your knees? Yeah?
<v Speaker 3>I literally yeah.
<v Speaker 4>I basically they would I was limping on air, so
<v Speaker 4>I had security hold me to make it look as
<v Speaker 4>I wasn't limping as bad. And then when I got
<v Speaker 4>to the stairs, I just kind.
<v Speaker 3>Of like crawl. I would just crawl and crawled. Yeah. Wow. Yeah.
<v Speaker 4>The GMS were made sure that I did not over
<v Speaker 4>push myself. They would stand by the stage making sure
<v Speaker 4>I did not stand on it. They told me, I
<v Speaker 4>don't They didn't want me, that's help me. They took
<v Speaker 4>care of me.
<v Speaker 3>Do you think that anybody? So, you don't think anyone
<v Speaker 3>in the audience.
<v Speaker 4>Noticed unless I told you, they knew I had hurt myself,
<v Speaker 4>but I don't think anyone really noticed the you know,
<v Speaker 4>the only time they did is uh my, I think
<v Speaker 4>it was my lash. No, it was Saturday after my
<v Speaker 4>first show. I had a line for lap dances, so
<v Speaker 4>I did an hour and thirty minutes of lap dances.
<v Speaker 4>That is usually when they kind of knew I was
<v Speaker 4>hurt because after doing that, it was you.
<v Speaker 2>Have to stand for that, right, So how did you
<v Speaker 2>do that? I still don't know how.
<v Speaker 4>I Like when I went to the Pony in Peoria,
<v Speaker 4>I still don't know how I did that because I
<v Speaker 4>actually I was feeling a little bit better. It just
<v Speaker 4>hurt a little bit and I was still wrapping. My
<v Speaker 4>focus is still swollen, and I went full force. I
<v Speaker 4>did my normal like I was standing on it. I
<v Speaker 4>did my chair where I like I do like rides
<v Speaker 4>for tens, so he tipped ten dollars and I can
<v Speaker 4>get on stage and I get a ride, and I
<v Speaker 4>went hard and I knew. I felt it afterwards like
<v Speaker 4>I was like cool man, and I should probably shouldn't
<v Speaker 4>have done that, but.
<v Speaker 3>I don't know.
<v Speaker 4>Once you're in the zone, yeah, you know, you just forget,
<v Speaker 4>You forget. It's just kind of la there. So that's crazy. Yeah,
<v Speaker 4>I haven't walked on this for it's going to be
<v Speaker 4>four weeks.
<v Speaker 3>Wow.
<v Speaker 4>Yeah, I missed my foot. They missed it so bad.
<v Speaker 3>So when do you When can you walk on again?
<v Speaker 3>When does the boot come off?
<v Speaker 4>Fingers crossed that this Friday? I get an next right,
<v Speaker 4>and I might be able to walk on it. What's
<v Speaker 4>the first thing you're going to do when you walk
<v Speaker 4>on it? Gives one a lap dance? I think My
<v Speaker 4>first thing I was I can't wait is to stand
<v Speaker 4>in the shower.

<v Speaker 4>slept once and fell Thank goodness, Matt, my booty is
<v Speaker 4>so big. Yeah, because I fell right on my butt
<v Speaker 4>and I was like, all right, that's fine, but I
<v Speaker 4>have to be really careful.

<v Speaker 4>Like the first week, I fell at least four times
<v Speaker 4>because I was trying to I had crutches, so I
<v Speaker 4>fell twice with the crutches. I fell in a shower
<v Speaker 4>and then I had fallen, uh, trying to scoot to something.
<v Speaker 4>I was being lazy and I was trying to scoot
<v Speaker 4>and like when I like a chair instead of like,
<v Speaker 4>I didn't. I didn't want to, I didn't want to
<v Speaker 4>use my crutches. I wanted just to get somewhere. And
<v Speaker 4>I like fell on my butt again. So I didn't
<v Speaker 4>never fell on it. It was always like up in
<v Speaker 4>the air, but my butt was the one that kind
<v Speaker 4>of helped.
<v Speaker 3>Yeah, thank god for that. Thank goodness.
<v Speaker 4>Soon, I hopefully. I already told the doctor. I was like,
<v Speaker 4>I gave you six weeks and of end of June,
<v Speaker 4>I'm heading to Miami for the Expo, and I my
<v Speaker 4>first feature dancing is July fourth at Gold Diggers in Fresno, California.
<v Speaker 4>So I was like, you had six weeks and I'm back.
<v Speaker 4>It's done. I can't hold off anymore.
<v Speaker 3>The Doctor's like, I don't care. It's your fucking foot.
<v Speaker 3>You break it again.
<v Speaker 4>It was not on me, it's my pain. I was like,
<v Speaker 4>the screws already in there. Let it do its thing.
<v Speaker 2>All right, so let's talk about let's talk about your
<v Speaker 2>beginnings of Lauren Phillips. What were you doing before you
<v Speaker 2>got into the industry.
<v Speaker 4>I was kind it seems so long ago now. I
<v Speaker 4>was a professional dancer. So I was trained to dance
<v Speaker 4>ever since I was younger.
<v Speaker 3>Like, what kind of dance are we talking about?
<v Speaker 4>When I went to my main one was modern dance,
<v Speaker 4>which is now kind of considered contemporary. I as I am,
<v Speaker 4>I do not like to form to society very well,
<v Speaker 4>So modern dance that's what it was created for. So
<v Speaker 4>back in the day, you know, ballerinas didn't want to
<v Speaker 4>be like, wanted to rebel, and they took their shoes off,
<v Speaker 4>turned in and you know, throwing yourself to the floor.
<v Speaker 4>So I was a modern dancer. I was part of
<v Speaker 4>two modern companies. I also taught dance. I was nationally
<v Speaker 4>certified to teach modern tap, ballet, jazz and point. I
<v Speaker 4>also was a backup dancer for a Tina Turner impersonator
<v Speaker 4>for about six years.
<v Speaker 3>Oh my god, that's fun.
<v Speaker 4>And we went all a toward all like the East coast.
<v Speaker 4>The farthest we went for the West coast was New Mexico.
<v Speaker 4>We went there twice and it just as I was,
<v Speaker 4>you know, surviving with my arts, right, because you don't
<v Speaker 4>get paid a lot as a professional dancer.
<v Speaker 3>I was. I worked out a preschool for in a while,
<v Speaker 3>but you also don't get paid a lot either.
<v Speaker 4>I was also a nanny for four kids. I was
<v Speaker 4>in my twenties, so I was trying to figure out
<v Speaker 4>what I was a massage therapist at one point. Yeah,
<v Speaker 4>I just kind of was trying to figure out what
<v Speaker 4>I wanted. And once I was a nanny, I was
<v Speaker 4>working fifty hours a week.
<v Speaker 3>Were you like a living nanny? No, that's another I wasn't.
<v Speaker 4>But they the wife who was like the breadwinner was
<v Speaker 4>a neurosurgeon of the spine. Oh yes, and the dad
<v Speaker 4>was I don't even know that. Dad was crazy, dead
<v Speaker 4>beat basically, and I hope he hears. And when they
<v Speaker 4>needed me to stay longer or come in early, I did.
<v Speaker 4>And that was just how it was. So I kept
<v Speaker 4>trying my times they would, you know, pay me and
<v Speaker 4>I but it was just so much. And I was
<v Speaker 4>a lead dancer with Tina, and just one day I
<v Speaker 4>was like, I started losing the love of my art.
<v Speaker 3>Because I was working so much.
<v Speaker 4>Even I work a lot now, but this was like
<v Speaker 4>bouncing from job to job to job to job. And
<v Speaker 4>I talked to one of my dancer friends who I
<v Speaker 4>actually we were so close in age. Actually when I
<v Speaker 4>was a dance teacher, I taught her and then she's
<v Speaker 4>I got her the job at for Tina and she
<v Speaker 4>was like, Lauren, you'd be great as an adult star.
<v Speaker 4>And I was like, I never thought about it, and
<v Speaker 4>what is that?
<v Speaker 3>That's kind of random? Where did that go? I always I've.
<v Speaker 4>Always been sexual, Okay, so I like to give a
<v Speaker 4>I don't know, I feel like society judges so much.
<v Speaker 4>It's just always this is how it's supposed to be,
<v Speaker 4>this is what you're supposed to do, this is well
<v Speaker 4>And I never liked that, and I wanted to as
<v Speaker 4>I started growing up and finding out who I am.
<v Speaker 4>I wanted people to have a space where they didn't
<v Speaker 4>feel judged. It's like a safe space. I want to
<v Speaker 4>be people's safe space I want. And that's kind of
<v Speaker 4>how it was. People knew it was very sexual obviously
<v Speaker 4>inappropriate times, and if they had if they wanted to
<v Speaker 4>talk about it and stuff like that, they could and
<v Speaker 4>just all this has been like that, you know, So
<v Speaker 4>she just knew. And it's funny. I still talk to
<v Speaker 4>her this day, like she knows that she started this.
<v Speaker 4>She was the one that planted to see and I
<v Speaker 4>just after that, I googled and that was how I did,
<v Speaker 4>and yeah, I went. I had to know if I
<v Speaker 4>could be intimate in front of people. That's the only
<v Speaker 4>thing I never did. So I went. I found out
<v Speaker 4>about the swinging community, and I was like, I went
<v Speaker 4>to a swingers club in Atlantic City called Roleplay Lounge,
<v Speaker 4>and I was like, if I can be with somebody
<v Speaker 4>in front of people, then I know I can do it.
<v Speaker 3>And I went there.
<v Speaker 2>So you went to a swinger's community, but you were
<v Speaker 2>not with somebody, so you went as the unicorn. Right, Okay,
<v Speaker 2>So these of you who don't know, the unicorn is
<v Speaker 2>like a single person who goes to like a swingers club,
<v Speaker 2>and it pretty much generally is always only a.
<v Speaker 4>Woman, single female, because single females going to a club
<v Speaker 4>is usually unheard of, right, but single males.
<v Speaker 2>Is pretty well, aren't they aren't They generally like not allowed.
<v Speaker 4>They have nights where guys are allowed. I just don't
<v Speaker 4>go on those nights because they flocked to you.
<v Speaker 2>Oh, it's just like, I'm sure, yeah, okay, yeah, yeah.
<v Speaker 3>But I went there and they treat me so great.
<v Speaker 3>I'm sure. They did so nice. Even the club itself.
<v Speaker 4>I don't think they're open anymore since the pandemic, but
<v Speaker 4>they were so nice. They kept an eye on me,
<v Speaker 4>they told me about the rules, they explained everything to me,
<v Speaker 4>they kept they checked in on me, and they ended
<v Speaker 4>up I ended up being with three couples that night,
<v Speaker 4>and I was like, Oh, I can do this. And
<v Speaker 4>if people don't know, like in the Swinging Like Club,
<v Speaker 4>it's a group of people that watch. It's not just
<v Speaker 4>a few, it's a group. And I was like, oh,
<v Speaker 4>I can do this. And January first, at twenty thirteen,
<v Speaker 4>I had New Year's Eve supper with my folks because
<v Speaker 4>a German tradition is that you're supposed to have pork
<v Speaker 4>in sauerkraut for the New Year. Packed up my car
<v Speaker 4>and drove all the way to Florida, sixteen hours by myself.
<v Speaker 2>Ready to start in the adult industry. Did you tell
<v Speaker 2>your parents that you're going to go do Okay, no
<v Speaker 2>they know no, but yeah, at the time, you're going
<v Speaker 2>to strike out on your own.
<v Speaker 3>So what was the first like, what.
<v Speaker 2>Was your first step into actually like shooting professional content.
<v Speaker 2>So in Florida, it's amateur pro and I knew I
<v Speaker 2>had already researched. I didn't know where I was going
<v Speaker 2>to live yet, but I knew where I wanted to live,
<v Speaker 2>so I didn't want I did not want to live
<v Speaker 2>in Miami.
<v Speaker 3>It's overly priced.
<v Speaker 4>And I was a single female and I needed to
<v Speaker 4>be safe, so the places that I could afford was
<v Speaker 4>unsafe for me. So I knew I was going to
<v Speaker 4>do that, and I think I looked at Fort Lauderdale.
<v Speaker 4>I didn't like that either, but I fell in love
<v Speaker 4>with the clear Water area and it's only a four
<v Speaker 4>hour drive. I was like, I'm from New Jersey, I'm
<v Speaker 4>used to driving.
<v Speaker 3>We can do that.
<v Speaker 4>So I moved there and I didn't even find an
<v Speaker 4>apartment yet. I was actually living in a hotel out
<v Speaker 4>of my car, and I had talked to one of
<v Speaker 4>the agents I was. I had never signed with them,
<v Speaker 4>and I was like, I want to do this, and
<v Speaker 4>I're like all right, drive to Miami. I was like great,
<v Speaker 4>And I with all of my stuff still in my car,
<v Speaker 4>and I had found a cat sitter because I had
<v Speaker 4>two cats with me God, And it's so funny because
<v Speaker 4>I'm like, you can definitely tell I was in my
<v Speaker 4>twenties because now I'm not like that, like I have
<v Speaker 4>everything planned out. And I drove to Miami and I
<v Speaker 4>did three scenes there.
<v Speaker 3>Wow, do you remember the company that was for?
<v Speaker 4>Yes, my first ever scene was for Reality Kings. Of
<v Speaker 4>course I was I knew you were going to say that,
<v Speaker 4>and it was called mouth to ball, mouth to ball, okay.
<v Speaker 4>And they how I got that scene is they you know,
<v Speaker 4>they oh, can you do this position? And it was
<v Speaker 4>like a medicine ball doing like plow pose for like
<v Speaker 4>in yoga okay, And I was like, yeah, I can
<v Speaker 4>do that's super simple. Yeah, And it was so great.
<v Speaker 4>My male talent was great, the director was great. I
<v Speaker 4>had so much fun. They explained everything to me. The
<v Speaker 4>only thing I didn't know how to use was a
<v Speaker 4>douche and never a douche, so I had to figure
<v Speaker 4>that out myself. But everything else and then my other
<v Speaker 4>my second scene was for mofos mm hmm. And the
<v Speaker 4>agent that had gotten for me was astonished about how
<v Speaker 4>I know how everything went because it was my first
<v Speaker 4>I don't know how to say this booty scene.
<v Speaker 3>Okay, it's okay, eight minutes.
<v Speaker 2>I was like, first scene. I was like, your first
<v Speaker 2>first anal scene. So your second scene ever was your
<v Speaker 2>first anal scene. Yeah, I didn't get my first anal rate.
<v Speaker 2>I don't even know if they do that anymore, but yeah, yeah,
<v Speaker 2>yeah they I got. I got and you didn't charge
<v Speaker 2>more for that. Yeah I got jipped. Yeah yeah, you
<v Speaker 2>didn't know.

<v Speaker 4>And the funny part is is when I was I

<v Speaker 4>And I was like, I'm eating and he's like, you
<v Speaker 4>have an anal scene and I was like yeah, and
<v Speaker 4>I know everything was fine by the time we got there.
<v Speaker 4>The digestive system was fine, Like and I did that.
<v Speaker 4>I forget the name of that was was. But and
<v Speaker 4>then the third scene I did actually never came out,
<v Speaker 4>and I was so glad because that was probably that
<v Speaker 4>was the first hard scene I ever had. So I
<v Speaker 4>didn't know how to ab live like very well because
<v Speaker 4>I had just started. So they had us outside and
<v Speaker 4>first thing, my male talent was a fucking dick.
<v Speaker 3>I'm not good like he was. He was.
<v Speaker 4>He got pissed off because I was taller than him, okay,
<v Speaker 4>and uh, he was just really cocky. And we're outside
<v Speaker 4>and we had to do a couple hours. I fucked
<v Speaker 4>up the first time. The rest of the time he
<v Speaker 4>fucked up. And they had put me in a metal chair,
<v Speaker 4>not thinking that I. Yes, I have fair skin, so
<v Speaker 4>if you put me in a metal chair, my butt's
<v Speaker 4>gonna bruise mm because.
<v Speaker 3>The weight of my butt.
<v Speaker 4>So when we got done, I had a nice bruise
<v Speaker 4>mark on I think my left butt cheek, so we
<v Speaker 4>instead of putting makeup on it, which now I would
<v Speaker 4>just and then as you know, seeing what progressive it
<v Speaker 4>starts showing, they'll just think someone, you know, the guy
<v Speaker 4>bruised me, which is fine, But we go to go
<v Speaker 4>into sex and they're hiding my bruise with his hand
<v Speaker 4>and he's just being cocky. And I remember this is
<v Speaker 4>the first time we were on the bed and my
<v Speaker 4>shin was going into the bed frame and I'm trying
<v Speaker 4>to adjust and they're like, what are you doing. I
<v Speaker 4>was like, I'm moving and I was like, because I'm
<v Speaker 4>hurting myself and they were like, stay there, welcome to porn.
<v Speaker 3>Wow.
<v Speaker 4>That scene never came out, and I'm so glad they
<v Speaker 4>used the photos for it, but they never used the
<v Speaker 4>actual footage.
<v Speaker 3>Interesting.
<v Speaker 4>It was the like that guy, I'm so glad I
<v Speaker 4>never had to work with him again. But I was like,
<v Speaker 4>is he still working or no? Okay, wow, But that
<v Speaker 4>was my one time where I was like they said,
<v Speaker 4>welcome to porn. And people have been like that, Like
<v Speaker 4>I've had some people like that. I had a couple agents.
<v Speaker 4>One said, uh that my body type, like oh, you're
<v Speaker 4>not going to do anything with your career and stuff
<v Speaker 4>like that. I had another agent when I was trying
<v Speaker 4>to uh do more more porn in Florida, he was like, oh,
