I thought it would be super weird if somebody used a bathroom stall and then you wait outside and then applaud when they come out. Yeah, you're right, that would be incredibly weird. I was thinking about that as I was really destroying a bathroom, and I was like, boy, if I was walked out right now, everybody's just like your job like an encouraging class. That was. That was impressive that you put in work, sons and you did it. I mean, did your parents not properly reward you as a baby when you went in the potty? Well, like you kind of you know, you always helped that everybody else leaves before you get out. What is the opposite of that? What everybody's like bringing everybody? Come on, there's a studio audience. Bring this got to get over here. Yeah, you gotta check this guy out. Does that mean does this mean we're podcasting? I think it does. We are talking about Boop, We're obviously that must mean it's Tuesday, December, the first twenty fifteen that day checks out. Yeah, and it is packed Eff and house here on the Giant bodcast. Holy crap. Yeah, this is I mean, you know in an era where everything else is torn apart and we can't produce anything else. Ye, at least we've got twice as many microphones here. Now it's it's eight people and eight microphones around a table in a featureless, white fugue of nothingness. Does this tie the record? Just flu? Is that different for you guys? That's kind of where I'm at in most days. This is what's going on in New York. Yeah, reality has evaporated. Yeah, you're just adrift. Yeah you shore you the human equivalent of a featureless white fugue. Yeah, yes, I am all right, hold on to that humanity, Alex. No, it's like, finally I feel like I have an identity. Yeah, I have something to hold on to. Nothing, I have nothing to hold on to, And it's beautiful. You're holding on of that cup, is am? I? Is this cup really here? Or is it just drifting through the fucking eternity the way I am and everything is. This is why, this is why we flew you out here to ask the deep questions. But that was no intervention. This is all in intervention. It's the original end of massive. What are you intervening on? You keep holding those cups and I don't like the way you hold them and you guys are all in agreement on this. Well, you guys, you guys work out your personal issues on your own time. All right, this way? Did you guys just go off topic out on the drive home the person the run of show? Where's the video games? Are we giving the correction segment? What's happening? Oh? Yeah, sorry, we're we're not this like tight ninety minute podcast from the East Coast Crew. Yeah, man, we ain't got time to mess around and talk about spiders and ship has weigh in it like two ten every week, to be fair like, made one ninety minute episode at least it was like the first one. Can tell you the lightweight class is where the good technical boxing happens. Okay, that's what you want, all right, fair enough, he's bloated heavyweights just roll in here. Just yeah, just feels space. Everybody likes a good everyone goes the distance because it's just like whatever, I'm going bantam weight from here on out. I could see this is gonna be three hours of barely controlled chaos. Oh you're the host every day East from the Brad Help Jason, I help me. Let's just get out of here. Here's a little preview game of the year for everyone. Shit, man, let's just every compressor kicked on all at once. Yeah, I was great watching the lights bounce over here. Let's just let's just take it around the table here when you say sure, I'm Brad Shoemaker. Ladies and gentlemen, yours twenty fifteen Giant Bodcast starting line up up, Dan Ryker, Hey, that's me. Oh, thanks, Brad chose this, Brad. That wasn't a lot of people, so you guys are supposed to pitch in Jefferson. It reminds me of the saddest birthday a restaurant that I've ever witnessed. That I witnessed with Vinnie last night. Last night. Yeah, we were having dinner and they We're at a tie place, and they clanged a bell and then like a gong twice, and then the lights dipped down and they cut the music, and they cut the music, but like not all the way down bong bong, it was there. Yeah, And then from the back of the of the restaurant came, oh, it's a birthday, that's what's going on. Then like a real mild they like start singing while they're still in the kitchen before, but they sang actual Happy Birthday. Yes, they can do they can do that. It's like yeah, and then the com came on. I want to know who Chevy If Chevy's owns the Chevy's version of the Happy Happy Birthday from a well, we better finish it. Yeah. Yeah, it was in Chevy's going out of business at this point anyway, So maybe they'll just auction that off. Are they Can I buy shut a bunch of them down? Yeah? Can I buy an Ell Machino? I mean, I bet there's probably some El Machinos going up for auctions, so I'm gonna get on eBay El Machino. Yes. El Machino is a wrestler and he makes tortillas for every Chevy's Luta underground thing. Yeah, totally coming soon. Oh coolah Yeah, El Machino is gonna come and funck shit up. I'm sorry we couldn't even get around the soul is Yeah, his soul is contained within a stone stone. What's with through this thing? Austin Walker's here? How's it going? You already know what it is? Yes, your boy, Austin Walker. A walk from Queen's Ridge to the Bay. Yep, Yep, it's your first time and office that's right. Wow. Yeah, it's a shame that this is the first time. I liked this office a whole bunch. That's okay. My office is like sales people yelling and throwing footballs at us. We'll come back in a week and stealing my damn. We're gonna start doing things in real New York style. If you want to do it in New York, is it really is? Okay? Hang on, you do sit near sales people, because I think the New York office is mostly like sales sales marketing. Primarily they really throwing around football so they really on the phone holding on footballs likes you been in the head with the football? How do you hit you in the head with the fat football? Whoa hang out? That is the most sales ass sales Wolf of Wall Street. Did they then all go to do drugs in the bathroom, not that I've seen it wasn't paid then okay, all right, if the football hits you in the head and then they all disappear sometimes what you do. What you do is the day after pay day you go in there and run your finger along the top of the toilet paper dispenser and see what comes up. I'm not running my finger along on the top of anything and that damn bathroom touch his ear and said, hold on a second, I'm sorry, and then turned back as bluetooth back on. It was like, anyway, what was I say? Totally that's no, but that sounds like exactly. But ever, once in a while one of them does pick up an acoustic guitar and start strumming a tune for everyone to fucking hear you really about that? Yeah? Oh man, I worked for a magazine and the editor in chief of said magazine was he would have this other dude come by and they would hang out in his office with the door closed, but the walls didn't go all the way up, so it was like pretty open air. And he would just sit in there with an acoustic guitar and they were literally getting high and like he would just sit there and play this fucking acoustic guitar and it was just like and meanwhile, we were kind of looking after his son, because that's what editors do. Yeah, And okay, so you just triggered me in this way that like, now I just want to fucking somebody, So what's amazing? Is that if that was a story you were telling about, Like now, it wouldn't seem that weird, but going all that far away back, that does sound like a fucking nightmare. Oh yeah, no, totally. Well it was like you know, Berkeley in ninety four, so of course that happened. Yeah, Like, acoustic guitar guys are bad at college parties much less like an office where people, Oh yeah, I didn't think that actually happened much where Oh yeah, that happens. I think acoustic gud heart guys at parties are like a necessary evil though, like they're not necessary. I think it's like, okay, put on a party without an acoustic guitar, but then it's not like a cool shitty party. Yeah you like you think you need to check that box on a list to go, Like, oh yeah, of course chet was a party. Chat was there with his fucking guitar, was singing sublime songs to fucking girls. He only knows Santa Ria yea and not in only the chorus. Yeah, so we just singing that the chorus over the verses. Again, those are the sweet sounds of Alex Varro. Oh yes, sir, no one applaud if any caravels. Also here you go out from New York for a week, we are we uh came out here to do some Game of the Year stuff and then uh the buildings on fire. You dragged us from sixty five degree weather or two whatever the hell is going on around here? Right now it's sixty rights, it was twenty degrees last night. It was here, Yes, up where I'm at, it's been everything's crazy where you're at, though it's pretty everything. It's an amazing time because it makes our East Coast studio. There's the first time, maybe the last time that it looks better than this studio. So this isn't like essentially not this is they're no walls here, so I don't think it's back to cubicle cheek. Yeah, we have walls. That's kind of all we got, the kind of the very thin football I can hear so many fantasy football updates come from the podcast room. You all walls. Our new studios cut some walls. Yeah, that's like cements or they want everything. How do you feel about walls? Drew Scandalin, I like them when they're thick. Yeah, yeah, I want to I want to live in the walls. Yeah, and you your man in our I guess this is our brand new podcast. Yeah, we've got a fat stack over here. Yeah of compressors's got got some big bottom see a lot of lights blinking, m cool, got some oral exciters, man, big bottoms. I'm so excited. All sound like spinal PEPs, go down, good vibrations after this, running off the table, Jason A strike. Hey, how's it going, big big Papa hanging out down here? I'm excited to get downstairs. Yeah, yeah, what's going on downstairs? You just want to not beyond this podcast anymore. I'm excited to get the fuck out of here. Let's go. You can go any time, all right, all right, see you all right? Uh day people here, Hi, Retch And what do you want to talk about? Thanks for having us this podcast? This is what do you talk about here? I don't know stuff. We're gonna talking games to talk about. We talk about the Internet, Google and what's going on on the Internet lately, life in the twenty first century, big data, surfing the web, what's up with big data? Two factor authentication, that's the way to go, token based off all this stuff really comes up? Keys, Uh huh, Yeah, we talked about your tour your ub key. I love my ub key key frames. I'm trying to dig in my pocket for it, but I can't finding. I stopped carrying around a key chain and now I carry around, uh not keys, digital keys. What you know what I'm saying? Keys d keys, but they jingle like normal keys. What what is that? He opens his house with the internet? Then, what the fuck is up? Or do you live in the Internet of things? Oh my god, it's sticky. I keep a USB stick on my key chain as well, so live and mine doesn't have like what is that? It's like eight or twelve keys? I got keys and us I have the same one I have also it's a little bit. I also have keys to my mother's house. Anyway, I got keys to your mother's house. Oh, top up, top baby, I was that was a good one. It was a good burn. It's nice to me to check on on her. That's to make sure, you know, Alex moved across the country. It's a long way away. I gotta make sure everything's on the up and up. How's my stepdad doing? He don't know, don't tell him. What do you do with that? What do you do with that thing? In my place, NAP. I couldn't tell you come on because then you'll want it. What do all the buttons do? I already want it. There's a lot of buttons. It's my it's locked, and if you enter the code incorrectly, it self destructs. What's the code? Your house self destructs? My entire it's a thermonuclear don't real scorre short security policy on the thing. I give everybody like five seconds, but that's okay, No, it's a it's an encrypted you know, pass code usbeki Okay. How else am I going to keep my secrets through kind of secrets you've keeping? I mentioned this before in another podcast. I need secrets because I don't have it. Okay. Uh So if anybody hasn't a good secrets, well, I mean you've got a basement, so you could start storing secret things down there if you want. I'm disappointed that you think your secrets could fit on a USB stick. It's it's a short no, Well, it's you know you would. You don't put the secrets on the USB stick. You put the location of where the secrets bare, okay, us the GEO located just the coordinates for the actual secrets around geocashing. It's fun. It's like I geocashed a bunch of dead bodies. You know. I keep the information on this USB stick any secrets. Uh yeah, it's it's a fun way to buy stuff. It's a fun way to participate in commercialism. Okay, assume by buying USB keys with buttons on. So I keep two because I keep the one that encrypted. Yeah, that's just as like, hey man, here's a secret, fuck you. And then the other one that's encrypted that says no, really not really fun. Neither of them. I just give the password up. That's good stuff. Does one of them open your house? No? No? No, Well do you have real keys too? Were they all USB things? Uh? No, I have real keys. Okay, but I really thought for a second there you had programmed a USB law on your s always put the key in back. Yeah, welcome home, Denny the castle you want? You want to use your phone for that? Stuff? That does feel like a weird, bad future that we are hurtling towards, though, Lord of the Manor don't they have cars with thumb print things? Yeah, bio fields. Thumbs are done. They figured out someone last week found a thing where it's like, oh, yeah, if we just take a picture like a regular photo, just give the thumb scan. Oh wow, yeah, So don't point your finger, you don't put your hands towards any camera whatever. What about this microphe? Do not do not talk into the microphone. They will use it. They will create a voiceprint of your thumbs. If anyone wants to meet me in the bathroom water, I'll help me burn off your fingerprints if that's the way you want to go. Finally, yes, they can scan the vein patterns in your your wrist as security. Really, yeah, there's a there's a minor a little too visible for that. Oh I can just break in. Yeah, there's something called Microsoft Hello built into Windows ten that is some kind of like webcam based security, Like, hey, that's your face, that's you, Like connect right, that sounds like the least secure thing, imagine, because you can just use the regular webcam with it. But okay, but but I mean, like it's the same stuffs like connect log, which works of the time, Yeah, pretty reliable. Connect a piece of ship, but that thing actually works fairly regular. That thing never worked for me. And also it did the other thing where like as soon as I like turned away, it was like, okay, see you. Yeah, I'm like, no, that's I didn't fucking log out. Like, if you wanted, like multiple people to be able to log into your PC, but with the face thing, could you use like a Ronald Reagan mask that everyone just like when they wanted to log in, they just put it on, right. Maybe, as long as there are facial features, I believe it should work. So you're not saying, like a mask of Jeff's face. You're saying, literally, everyone when they sit down at the computer must first. But if you want you want to use my computer here, just use you have to use this mask, and then a room full of masks and only you know which masks guess on the computer. And what if Ronald Reagan breaks into your house, they can get into your computer. I think Ronald Reagan would be able to get on your computer anyway. He's a master hacker. Okay, faked his own death. He's down there with TUPAC. Yeah that sounds like some trickle down log in nomics. Yep, yep, let's move on. Okay, I'm screaming at you, silent. Uh. Let's talk about video games. I bought AS four. Yeah, damn what brought that on. Uh, the three hundred dollars price point, Yeah, that was going on this weekend. Did it come with a game? Yes, the Uncharted Collection, that's the game. That's three games, Yeah, which is fine. It seems like that console sold pretty well over like the I mean, we've the shopping season has kicked off fifty dollars below the price drop was pretty good for me. Like how long ago did that? Like, it's only been a couple of months, right, three months since the price drop? Yeah, and I think I think the three hundred price point was only this weekend. Yeah it was. It wasn't even it was like October that wasn't dropped. Yeah, that was a TTS announcement for Japan that then they October it was two months ago. You were two months ago. Yeah, I'm saying our lives. By the time this podcast goes up, it will have been two months ago. Two months scholars or to death is what I'm saying. Also, Rocket League was on sales, so I to Rocket League and played it for two hours. Oh yeah, what do you think? What do you think about that? Rocket League? It's pretty good thing. Else I wanted to play until I both won around and scored a goal. Okay, how many hours score a goal? You have not yet scored a goal? So you bought Rocket League on PS four. Yeah, so now they have one sale, single unit on the PS four. Now finally Rocket League two. I thought that I did that on P four. You bought it, you get it during it was free of the month that it came out, right, Yeah, I've got never mind my bad by that twelve bucks. Did you get the Did you get the new model of the PS four? It's matt oh yeah, I think are the buttons mechanical? Do they pressed down on the front the power and they know that they're still capacitive? Think? So yeah, okay, that's the previous models. Okay, so they're selling old models. That's why I'm getting it. And I I almost threw in on a charted bundle to keep a PS four at my parents house. But then I found out that those uncharted bundles are the old model, and I was like, what's what's the button? The buttons are starting to not work on the front of my PS four. That's bad. They're bad buttons. Yeah. Yeah, it's the only thing about that I hate. You can still powered on with the controller you can, yeah, but I'm having to push down real hard for it to do anything, and I mean doing that. It is a lot more consistent than it is with the Xbox One. For for some reason, half the time when I power that thing on via the controller, it just nothing happened. I actually have a lot of problems. I had changed controllers, and now it seems to work better. But I had a controller that simply wouldn't power the console on or sync to it unless I plugged it in first. Mine is totally inconsistent about it. Yeah. I had a super weird thing last week when I was working on Just Cause three. I was playing it on PC, and every once in a while, only when I was playing that game, it would turn off my TV and my receiver, and I would turn both of them back on. My PC would stay on, and then the audio wouldn't work in the game. What the hellust I know what it is? You're haunted? Oh you have a ghost? Okay, it's so numerous. If you have audio going out over HDMI to the TV, which I assume you do, yeah, that would explain the audio thing, yeah, because then sometimes you have to turn on receiver first. But it was turning off my receiver and my TV only when I was playing, just cause he's my computer for a million other things. Last week only happened when I was playing. Someone outside your window has like cloned your remote and they are just peeping in from across the street with some kind of high powered thing and shutting your ship down and laughing about it. Yeah, that's probably right. Okay, that sounds likely. I was going to say something, but that sounds yeah, that's probably let's just go with that. Yeah, so you bought it a PS four, it's it's but yeah, like I was saying, it sounds like that thing sold super well, and yeah they were up there. Yeah, well I did not see numbers. It was like I think, was it like best Buy? I was saying, there was some retailer that said like it was the number one item that they had moving. Wow. Uh And then sucks for Microsoft because they had like way crazier they were they were selling it is like it's like get it for I don't know if they went to two fifty, but then you weren't able to get like four free games with they have well, they have like a zillion different bumps, Like who's gonna who's gonna buy that. I mean, it has to be always connected to the internet. Noways gonna Maybe the news didn't reach New York yet. They that's not the case anymore. Oh, you're kidding. Most ride to change it. It arrives by stage coach. So they decided to change the Xbox One. They're still spying on people with the Connectus. Oh yeah, of course, of course, of course they are. Of course they are. And then like I saw some Sony people out there. I think I think they put out a release saying that they had sold through thirty million millions consoles. Well, yeah, that was last week. Sometimes that's a large number, thirty millions. It's a lot that's worldwide. So it's still a large number. Because what did the three sixteen three, both like hit around eighty by the end of the generation, right, they're coming up on halfway there in two years? Like, what do we have nine billion people in the world? Uh, pushing seven? They were at seven. I think somewhere between six. I killed a couple of billion. Black Friday got nuts. I wanted those deals. Man. That TV was three hundred dollars exactly. I needed a three hundred dollars TV and if fucking ritual genocide is when it takes to get those deals, I'm getting those deals. Did you get them? No? Sadly someone else killed harder fucking Doorbusters. They only have like two of those TVs, know that? Right? How did how did Black Friday? God, you guys actually leave the house? Absolutely? I did, actually, like I did. I feel like I need to participate and it's great American holiday, if not, just to see the spectacle. So yeah, we went to Target and best Buy. Was it ridiculous? You know it open or no, like the day before you're one of those guys that would like take a lawn chair out on your deck and watch the purge happen. Absolutely, yep, Bearn and I would be there. But yeah, at best Buy, i'd like, you know, there was a line like inside the store all the way around the goddam. It was the control though. It was controlled pretty well, like they had you know when you're at E three, you know they have the people that are like mitigating the lines. It's like the lines starts, her line ends here. They did bullets. Yep, I did say into your gas and everything. It was. It was horrible, But yeah, I walked through there and I'm like, oh, wow, these these earbuds are really cheap. I'm gonna get these. And then I saw the line and I'm like, no, fuck you right, I'm coming back ten hours later and what are they still really cheap? Yeah? They were still cheap. So it was like an all day thing. They plenty of them, and that's the only thing that I got on on Black Friday. But yeah, the lines were absolutely crazy, Like even then, I still like waited for about forty five minutes, no stampeding and no, like it wasn't the video and I didn't. God I should have. Should I really should on viral you could have. Yeah, they started lining up like the day before, like on Thanksgiving, like five o'clock in the afternoon. We drove by and there was, you know, a huge line out, so both like targeting Best Buy. Wow, five o'clock on Thanksgiving. Oh yeah, I think they may have opened early, like you know did like I sell things. More and more stores are doing like that. Hey, we're gonna start doing our Black Friday stuff eight o'clock tonight until midnight. People should be shot. I know up, no that are doing that are opening the doors Thanksgiving earlier. They're just following order. Yeah, the people who are literally opening the doors because broke all right, yeah, doors talking about the stars on walls, those fats unlocking the door, the cat It's fascinating. It's fascinating how much they are playing on the notion that people really want to get the fuck away from their family as soon as humanly possible. Well, they need to get that TV. I think that's I don't know what is. I find Black Friday and the idea of it a little repulsive in the like as somebody who prepares for chaos in the world, right, like who prepares for short to say you're a prepper, just say you're a prepper, as a hardcore prepper. He likes to be prepared. I find watching some of that stuff crazy. But then I don't know. Now there's a now the fake videos are coming out of people trying to make fake like Black Friday videos. I don't know if that's worse of people like therein there was one floating around these entitles like woman steals from child, however, and like there's this woman visibly walks up and grabs a package out of the hands of this like six year old and then it's everybody trying to like debunk it, right, being like, oh, you know, the shadows on the flag don't line up like this is. She comes in the Lee Harvey Oswald pictures, so you want to see that kids fucking birth certificate. Okay, So there are literally people being I love it because you're reading the comments being like okay, so there's like there's there old salad spinners on the ground, why would she take it from the kid? Or like you could tell this is fake. She comes in from the right for rails, comes in from the left back to the left, and I'm looking at the comments on here and being like this, this is kind of amazing because now it's like is this believable that humans would do this, or like what's what's stage? What's phony about? This is the more believable terrible truth that someone would stage this for the attention to get it up early. And the name of the account was like Black Friday Madness one video right, and it's like you messed it up. I mean this is like their E three though, you know, come on, but it's oh man, so that part's crazy. And then I saw some people being like Black Fridays is kind of a myth, Like all the videos are staged, so it is happening. It's all done in a sound stage in Los Angeles. It's all for attention to feed the commercialism empire to think people so they're thinking, like real conspiracy you have, like you know, you need to promote the commercialism, and like you gotta get out there and get these deals because they're crazy. Look how crazy they are. Look at what people will do for these kids and ways what it is when you have a bad experience, you leave and say like at least I didn't get shot, Like at least I'm alright, compared to that woman I saw on YouTube, like this is okay, I haven't got lucky. Better buy some stuff. Yeah. I have noticed that some of the advertising for the Black Friday stuff, especially this year, has sort of geared more toward hey, look how fucking awful this is. You don't want to go into the store, right, you should go online and buy this thing, as opposed to before it was like, hey, come participate in this awful, horrible ritual, which cyber Monday is now kind of like an all weekend thing. It seems like Amazon was doing this, I mean a week and also like it's a ridiculous thing, because the whole thing seemed like that started as a way to say like, oh well, hey maybe you should shop online. It's okay, We're not going to steal your credit card. We're the Internet. It's okay. And now everyone knows that the Internet it's always stealing your credit card. But that's okay. Now some company just got hacked and like apparently whatever toys they were putting out like actually had like kids uploading like personal information and they're like face photos and all that shit gone. Yeah, it was like the kids like computer thing. You know what this is. It's like v tech v Tech. Oh so they had some kind of server side storage. Oh man, kids and six hundred thousand pars. That seems like, yeah they do they make phones, Yeah they may. Yeah, they make phones, walkie talkies, all kinds of weird ship. I had a v tech phone, a chordless phone from any answer for your company? Answer for v Tech didn't tech. H we've shortened it to v tech. We sold those rights a long time ago. Okay, Yeah, that's that's how you paid for your Macgrail system. Ye did you know that v tech makes that? On rob I like to raise toy that I sung the song here years ago. I'm robbed, Okay, I like to raise racing is great. I remember that racing racing. I like to be number one. It's just the al Tech one theme song. Yeah, yeah, I think it is. So that's where that came from. Yeah. See a black Friday, what's the deal? Stop it? Just stop all of it. Don't go out on Black Friday. I bought stay home and play just calls three. I went to I went to Target because we were out a cat litter. Was there a sailor? I had to murder nine people? No? No, the supermarket I normally go too doesn't carry the brand of cat litter that we need, so I'd go get the proper cat litter. You have to wait on a big line. No, it actually wasn't so bad. I went at like a ten thirty and it was like there were people in there, and it sucked because there were people, and I mean any fuck people. Uh So that was unpleasant, but whatever. I'd walked in there, grabbed my ship and walked out and it was fine. It was cool. At Toys r Us, no people there. Really. We bought some baby shit ton of diaper wipes. Wow, did Griffin have his first Black Friday? He did? Yeah? Yeah, We actually strolled him through the Best Buy just just for the hell, and he made it. Yep, okay we barely No one stole anything from him or no one still him. He had nothing on him. Okay. I brought him in there naked, no diaper. That's why, that's why we needed to wipe that. Toys are offs. Maybe he made he made a Black Friday in his diapy huh did? Yeah? I bought Pillars of Eternity Yeah, and uh Endless Legend on the steams. Okay cool. But now like that, when I look at that same page, everything just says in the library already because I have bought over the years every crazy like by every game you know activisions ever made. Yeah, okay, that sounds like a good deal. And now it's like it was weird because Ubusoft had a deal and it was like the Ubisoft franchise deal and it was like except for the games you actually want. So Syndicate wasn't on set step. Please, we as a people need to stop calling Assassin's Creed Syndicate just Assassin Assassin Creed Sicate stinks. It's crazy. I just it's crazy how they've just messed that one out. It is very confusing. Uh yeah, so that that uh Call of Duty was on sale though, which was where it was like ten bucks off. Yeah, the console versions were also on sale. Yeah, I saw that. I think I think you can take that as as you might think, really like, oh, I think so, yeah, sure, maybe not selling quite as hot. I mean, the fast few years have been, you know, kind of often. I think they still put out that press release, didn't They go on like it's a hot sell everything, and then fall Out probably crushed it or whatever. But probably we talk queen talking about Jess, let's talk about just cause. Man, that was a deaf segue there. I don't know how long you guys from one from one topic to another. I have a problem because I forgot to look at what time it was when we started. I think it's been like five minutes. Yeah that sounds that sounds about right. What do you want to say about Just Cost three? Then? He? Uh so who here has played some Just Cost three? I beat it. I played a lot of it. Actually, the reviews should be up on the site right now. Okay, I have watched you play a decent amount, and also the developers play a decent amount. Okay, how much did you play? I don't know. I liberated like a land mass, and I've played if you watched a quick look maybe a little bit past that story mission. The land mass is in like one of the big three, the big okay, and the big one. It was the starting one right right now, which is a large one, and you know, deliberate those you you have to go around and find a little too, a little scavenger hunt for like chaos items at villages and installations. It's like that game's all right. Yeah, it sounds like I'm not too far behind you. I had finished the first act okay, first set of story missions out of out of three acts. Yeah, I don't know. I've moved to the second land mass. Nobody are playing on PC here, these guys are on PC. I was on PS four. Okay, So how has the PS four experience been for you? Because we've been hearing some things and seeing some things today. Man, it is rough. Talk about that load time, yeah, the load times, dude, I don't I don't know what to say about the load times because it's I've never seen anything like this in a game before, because what they are is erratic, Like they're not consistently long, but sometimes they're so long that you sit there like staring a gape, going like like my console melting inside. Like but even like loading the same thing, like the same wingsuit challenge or something, we'll have like a thirty second load one time and a two minute load of the next. Is that it's been Like last night, I did the same challenge like twelve times in a row because I was trying to get five stars on it or whatever, and like eight out of the twelve times it reloaded in like fifteen seconds, but one time it took a minute and a half. I have to wonder if it's a thing like you know, we talked about the servers thing earlier meddle year five when the servers are being weird, you know, you would go to look at the eydroid or your map or whatever, and sometimes it just took forever. So I wonder if it was some weird thing with those square Enix servers that there have been reports of those being kind of wonky. That's the game's not out, Yeah, the game has not been playing as we're recording this. That's the theory that was folding around on some forums among people that got their hands on it early. And then I've even seen the load times get better this morning, as as a Monday morning, which is a few hours before the game comes out. But let's talk about that world record one that you had the load time, because that was like that was like midnight club PSP bad. Yeah, yeah, I've got the clip saved on my PS four. I died at one point and it took well over four minute to load me back into the world's staring at a load screen. But like I've ever almost every other time I've died, it was like probably twenty seconds or something like totally reasonable. So I have no idea what's going on there. I think about your actions though obviously yea, it's got leaderboards and stuff, so it's not you know, it does have some kind of online yeah, some kind of server call that it would make. I will say that when I was seeing all these the worst load times were happening at a time that those servers were also super up and down and like kind of booting me off constantly. The game also does the super annoying thing where when you get booted off, it'll let you pick an option that's literally says offline mode. But within two or two to five minutes, it will try to reconnect you again, like as soon as you go to the map, it'll try to hook you back up. But if you if you were completely disconnected from PSN or yeah, I actually would be fine. I actually thought about literally pulling my either a cable. Yeah. That's always a great solution, really good development, because I mean the offline mode is not like it was a metal gear where you could opt out of it and permanently be offline. Like it kept trying to pull me back in, and it was like a good thirty forty five seconds every single time of trying to log me back in on the console. Does it automatically link your account to a Square Enix Yeah, I already had that set up from some previous game years ago, probably, so I was playing without that connected. Dan, did you ever like a register? If I did, it had to be the last tomb Raider if it had that, I'm trying to think what else I would have played on Steam that was a Square Enix game. The last Team Rater would have had that. Then then maybe I made one for that. Did it give you the prompt to like fill in your email address and you're no, I never had to type in anything like that. He's already done it. It's just mine would give me like, hey, join the thing every time I'd be okay, Rise the Team Rader has like an option for you to put in your email address to like because I so on, which I thought I had done, but apparently I've not played one of their games on an Xbox platform. So because when I started playing Rise the tem Rat, it was like, hey, fill in your email dress. Oh yeah, yeah, I'm cool. Uh so I maybe that's what. I didn't see any of that service stuff, but I had some wonky stuff with the leaderboards, not just seeing like Dan's progress and maybe because I didn't make the account, but it doesn't Yeah, we don't. We don't know. I mean, I guess that's the thing. Is like you're saying the load times seemed better this morning, yeah, like and this stuff is all before the game is out on steams kind of who knows. But we both had leaderboards, but we had like a different pool, Like I kept saying, like a certain group of game journalists and you were seeing a different one. Yeah, who knows. But beyond that stuff, are there other problems some of the game. That's the thing I could say definitively about the performance on the PS four is that it's not good. Like the you know, the Digital Foundry initial analysis has just come out before we started recording, so like those benchmarks are starting to get out there, but that game, the frame rate just tanks. Win. Stuff is blowing up in that game, and that's a problem in a game that's about blowing things. We're talking about the PS four one fairly. The Xbox version is worse according to its kind of Eurogamer. The stealth approach, Yeah, but yes, just sneak your way through those bases. But yeah, like the yeah, we'll talk about down the ground, looking at the grounds. It sounds like you guys had a really good experience, just just like technically my PC. It was weird for a while, but they put out some patch a couple of days before release, and I tried it this morning and everything that was screwing up before it was running pretty smoothly, you know, pretty short load times, great frame rate, even when like giant towers are falling down, which happens a lot so it's like even when slowdown seems to happen in those PC versions, it's much more of like a dramatic effect of like everything's just kind of you know, but it doesn't feel like the frame rate is tanking when you're doing it. Yeah, it's only done intentionally, like when you you do these big like you blow a thing outside missions or when you clear out a settlement in just like a slow mo you got one hundred percent yea, But yeah, no slowdown whatsoever. Outside of that, you guys like it forget, forget the performance, let's talk about the game. So yeah, I think I think it's definitely it is to the letter of Sambox game in that bring what you want to the table that's going to dictate the fun you have. Like they structure these missions in a way that are like they're pretty simple. They're like go into this town, blow up seven things, but they'll give you kind of fun toys to just play around with, and that's how you're gonna make your fun. I think if you were to just look at it on its face, for me, like it's very bare bones, like it's super streamlined, like you know, the last one I had that chaos system for kind of gating new story missions and things like that. There's no Chaos gating. It's just kind of a random score now. And there's also no currency, so you're not paying for any of your like air drops or anything. It's all just kind of on a cool down and you get Chaos. But it's just for leaderboards. Yeah, yeah, is that all that is. It's just a score. I believe so, Dan, you would know because there was never Yeah I beat the game and it it never said like, oh, once you get to Chaos two million, you get to open this mission. They did seem like they gate some of the story missions by how many towns you've lived. It's all based on how many settlements you've taken this point. Did the exact same thing. Yeah, it'll just say when you hover over the icon of the map like oh, you know, liberate scentcom whatever, and then you can do this mission. So so I just found it a little bit. So all right, So what happens is they launch into the world and it's a pretty good cold bath into the just Cause world. If you start off basically on the wing of plane shooting stuff with a rocket la sure, right, infinite rockets infinite rockets, and it's like, yeah, go crazy, Like next mission is like a fucking give you a wingsuit. Okay, great, and it's like next mission is like and also fucking you know, here are infinite minds, like what do they call them, bavarium charges? Yeah, fuck it, they're infinite. And then all right, go have fun, you crazy rico. And then the tether thing you get right away too, all right, and then also it's like, let me see your risk. Oh yeah, also you have infinite tethers. All right, are we done? We're done here. Now go blow up a bunch of stuff and they'll give you kind of access to the whole world. They'll gate some story missions and will also gate at least what I saw were some heavily armored bases with like an ant defense system that you have to do some other stuff to get down. You can try and take them out there. You can take them out without taking down that thing or whatever, but you can yeah, yeah, you blow up real well. Uh So what I found was you do you liberate a town and then it'll pop up all of the for lack of a better word, open world shit, which is car like liberating a town is the equivalent of climbing the tower. Yeah, and it's like, okay, we're filling in the map with the well. Yeah, but I would say the things that they unlock when you take out or when you liberate a settlement are not profound. They're all like challenges, they're all but they're all they're all like fly the way to these Yeah, it's all fly through these loops or drive through these loops. Yeah. The other thing is all of the upgrades in the game are gated behind those challenges. Yeah, so that's the loop. That's the worst thing you could have said. Yeah, that's kind of the one of the biggest things. I was gonna say. It was disappointing. I don't I don't know how to go that far. But it's not the choice I would have made for how you would have rolled that stuff because there are so many different metrics in that game. It's like how much chaos you've built up, how many settlements you've taken over for all the because we're talking about like attached more tethers to things, or you know, like being yeah, I don't want to do race missions in any open world game. Well, like the races are like tied to your night trice and your turbojemps for your car only. The only saving graces there is that the the upgrades that you get are related to the type of challenge you're doing. Okay, so if you don't care about upgrades for cars, you don't have to do the car challenges, right, Okay, why would you ever be in a car? So, I mean that's a valid question. Well, they're kind of fun. Everything travels very differently, right, So, like the cars I found the side mission I was with you, I was like, so they give you the wingsuit, the parachute, like you know, it just seems like you have so much more mobility outside of a car. It's almost all the Saints Row situation of just like fucking but you'll want to do like wingsuit side things so you can get extra things for your wingsuit and the car stuff. It's like, you know, eventually you want to get don't want to get in a really fast car, drive it off a cliff in stunt position to jump off the car and get that momentum to take you in your wingsuit over to another area. I have to I have to stop you. Yeah. The fhrese stunt position does not appear in this game. What at sure it's not in the control I think the controls are you sure push A to get into stuff? I feel like it might be sure because it definitely has stunt positions can get out of there, Like I mean, yeah, you can tether into stunt position. You assume the stunt position. It's not you push A and you get on the road. No. No, But I'm saying it never calls it stunt position much. I feel like kind of sums up my feelings about the story at some point that game. I know, there's not a tutorial that tells you about stumb position, okay, because they absolutely they assume, like, are you an idiot? It's stumb position, right, So like that's actually a really crazy because it's like, look, I you know, just Cause too was popular, the multiplayer stuff and all that stuff, but it's still it's still just cause, like it's not fucking Grand Theft aut right, Like they they should still probably actually stop you and go like, hey, there's a way you can stand on cars without falling off. Super important for a game like just Cause versus something like Grand Theft Auto, where like some of the pull for Grand Theft Auto is the you know, random violence, but there is like, oh, here's the story and just Cause that game, the fun you have with that game is going to be gated by how well you understand those systems and whether or not they can teach you to have fun with those systems in their sandbox. And that's my big problem with just Cause Too, is that like there was not enough of like they could have done a little bit more to get people, really people like me really good at like tethering the ground and parachuting like that form of travel. But I think because I never got good at that, I think in just Cousse three they at least for me, But I've played the other ones. They feel like they've refined the controls enough where you don't have to be as nuanced to get that like parachute thing. I mean, now you have the wingsuit run, but the so the little bit I played back to the three, like I was kind of able to get it going, but I still had situations was like shit, I tethered the ground and I'm start to the yeah you have to. I found it a lot easier to get in the parachute to pull yourself along if you want to do that. In this one. I don't find the wing suit as useful as you would think. I used it a lot close to the ground, and like laterally you don't even need that much height or speed. You can just kind of do the wingsuit. As long as you're not like ten feet above the ground, you'll cover ground pretty fast. Yeah, And I feel like they cheap the physics of it so that if you're coming in steep to the ground, you can always pull up like a foot below the ground. But the it's go back to the stump position thing. It's not as useful as it was in other just causes because you pop out of cars anytime you want into a parachute and have a apple into the other car, and that's way more useful. Like you're just grappling and repelling. Well, you're mostly grappling into everything anyway. And their auto aim on the grapple, at least when I was playing on the PC, it's pretty generous. So just put the camera towards that helicopter and hit the grapple button, you'll be upside down on it. So that being said, some of the animations for hijacking felt a little long, like on the helicopter and Yeah, I've I've had numerous cases of like it takes so long to get into the helicopter that they've effectively shot it down by the time I get control of it. And like I've had cases where I'm grappling in so I'm zooming towards the helicopter and I'm just jamming. I hit the Y button a little too soon too, because I want to get that animation started instead just smash my head into it and then die. Ye, But I find it really fun. I think finding the stuff in the settlements to destroy is not fun. Yeah, They've they've changed, so I wish I had gone back and played more too, because I'm trying to remember if you had to destroy every object in a base to take it over, and yet you'd have like a chaos meter and you get to a hundred because because they have the same set up with the red and white chaos objects, which are the things you have to blow, which is a great visual queue for like, hey blow this up. It's also it's super easy because once you've destroyed a couple, you can go into your map and you can like it fades in as you get closer to one hundred percent, So it's like, oh, that's where that fuel tank. I still so. Yeah, the change they made is that they've turned these settlements into scavenger hunts now where you literally when you enter a settlement, see a list on the It's like a check it's like a to do list on the side of boards. Destroy two billboards and three loud speakers and one propaganda van and open two jail cells and blah blah blah, and like finding some of them. Yeah, that can be tricky until you mean sort of get a feel for like what that stuff looks like and where they put it. Like, it can be a little fiddly, Like billboards are usually at the entrances and exits. The town statutes are obvious, yea, the propaganda towers are pretty obvious. It's like the little transformers sometimes are tough for me to find, but if you look at the map, it'll show them red. But the map doesn't let you zoom in close enough to something. You have to turn a settlement icon off, but you can still kind of point yourself in the right direction, and yeah, you and fun of stuff. I just sometimes it takes like one more steps and it might have been a color blind thing. Where the contrast because they're deep red on this kind of brown map. Yeah, it's not even even as someone who is not color blind, Like some of that stuff was a little hard to discern. Yeah, but that all being said, like I kind of liked the side mission the wingsuit stuff, and like, so they give you for each side not side mission, what would you call them bonus activity. They're challenges. Challenges. You can get a total of five gears for that thing, right, and in your upgrade tree, it's like, hey, you need seven gears for the next unlock. So you don't have the perfect a challenge. Yeah, you could just get like this one sucks. I got one gear, but the other one was super easier. I got five, so I made it. They're they're they're short. Yeah, they're super short. They're pretty simple. Most of them aren't super hard to get, like even five starts or five gears or whatever. Even the races probably about a minute and a half tops, Like they make you do like two laps on something. But it's in the just cause world, so like you have these kind of wonky physics happening. I say, can I just like stunt position in the middle of the race and blow up the other cars you can can They've been pretty rigid about when you get out of the car. You don't have a time where it's not a race like there's other cars that you have to do. It's just just but like you have this one where it's like you get in this car that has explosive strap to it and you've got to get it to a point where it's going to explode. You need to keep the spamber over like sixty Okay, wait a minute, Okay, And Sandra Bullock is in the car with all right, she's alright, uh yeah, no, she's all right. Yeah. I think it might be a breakout for her and breakout performance. So anyway, you see the net? Uh no, yeah, she's getting the net okay better than this. I don't know. I haven't played just Calls yet. Okay, so you go and you can. It's about the Internet. You go and it's not like the net net Sure's pizza from the Internet. It happens. That's cool. Yeah, So you can you can take any path you want. So that's fun because it's just like how do I get from point A to point B as quickly as possible and blow stuff up and I feel like the races are pretty generous with the rings. Yeah, like you just like touch a ring and you're kind of through it. There are some obnoxious ones with the physics, like if you're on a motorcycle or a boat, like you hit a wave or a rock weird and it's like, yeah, fuck, I guess it's starting. It's real easy to spin yourself out and like lose your time. Yeah, for sure. Like the wingsuit wins I have found to be both like the most satisfying and the most infuriating by far. You definitely rugburn out against. Yeah, like just that feeling when you're like three rings from the end, because you get a huge point bonus for finishing making it to the end, and like realizing you don't quite have enough left left to just like just barely drag your ass across. Like, oh, it's a frustrating. But but also I've learned a lot from doing those those about like how when to grapple when I'm close to the ground, to pull yourself to get more speed, and you know, the feeling of barely being in control in the wingsuit is sometimes pretty great. Just just brushing by the trees and like just running Like I said, just running off a cliff and then like falling and hitting the wingsuit feels great to me. It feels like this game is missing a tear of mission content, but in the sense that most open world games have. Like all right, you've got your main story missions, you've got your whatever your kind of named side stuff is, and then you've got your generic challenges. And this goes straight from story mission to challenges with nothing in between. Yeah, outside of just the open world blow up everything, I think. I think the liberations and such, I think that is your your other tier. But at least that's what they're accounting, is that. Yes, so those are so one note though, like they're fun. It's fun to blow that stuff up, like the everything explodes in a really satisfying way. But like you've taken over one settlement, you've taken over all of them. It's real. It's really weird how much of this kind of echoes my feelings on Mad Max, which I mean, too fair is made by two different teams uh within Avalanche, but it feels like a lot of the same criticisms can be applied. It's just like the same one note thing over and over again and not as much variety as perhaps you would think or want. Yeah, that's that's definitely how I came out of Mad Max. Yeah, because that feeling of just like, you know, there's something to this, they just there's just not enough here to exploit. They've just repeated any time. And I guess for me in that game, it was also just like a lot of people seemed to like the driving and car combat in that where I thought that stuff was terrible. No, the car building was cool. The actual car combat occasionally would yield like really awesome fiery results and mostly were just kind. Sometimes it would look good, but actually the act of doing it I thought was not so kind of miserable. Yeah, I think what's what's come around or what I enjoyed by just cause and it's not without its problems. You guys are totally right. It gets a little rinse and repeat. Is that like eventually like you can be like, yeah, fuck it, I'm just gonna get in this attack helicopter and like straight around. I'm not going even inside the base. I'll just straight around and blow everything up and that works. Later on you get these you know, fighter jets and stuff that you can just do bombing runs and take out entire settlements and just a couple of runs basically. Yeah, and it's it's weirder because the civilians are in these sounds too, and there's like they're fine. Some of them. Just that guy, that guy you strung up by his ankles earlier, didn't seem to mind so much. That's the most fun I had with this game was just screwing around with the tether and like the booster explosives, because you can upgrade those to be really strong and can put up to six of these booster things, so you can like, I'm gonna put a booster on this guy's ass and on this cow, tether them together, activate them and just see what the fuck happened, and they sometimes hilarious. I think they know that, you know, it's and that seems like the game they're making. Yeah, yeah, yeah, there's not enough of that though. Outside Like the tether is really cool and now you can like retract it what you couldn't do in two. And the booster grenades are awesome, but like that's pretty much it. There's not like a bunch of different kinds of grenades or stuffs like you largely have to kind of create your own chaos because the game doesn't necessarily like push you in the direction of like, hey, you should do this stupid thing. You have to just keep in mind that this is, you know, the sequel to the game, but that like you know, became wildly popular all over again because there was a thousand player, Like, I wonder if it's like you can almost look at Fall Up four in the same way and say, like, I wonder if they're like leaning a little too hard into like, well, people know how to find the fun in this thing because they found it before and just calls two with a thousand of them together, and they were just doing races and other dumb crap and just fucking around. So like you've got the races and fucking around part down, whatever the rest is greatest, do more of that. I mean, the problem is that those two things are not mutually exclusive, you know, like you totally gotta have a more like robust and guided experience with you. I just wonder if like that was maybe some of the sure some of the reasoning there there were missions where they kind of set you up for that, Like there was one where I was on top of a train and all these jets were flying in and it doesn't straight up and say hey, use your tether and do some fucked up stuff here. But I saw that these two jets just actually print that on the street. It should be like, you know, like Tumbrater has that presentation layer you can turn on. You just turn it on and just says at the top of the screen, just use your tether to fuck something and then there's a good achievement and use tether and fuck some shit. Yeah. Yeah. But like these two jets were flying in formation right above the plane around the same speed, and it's like, well, I couldn't shoot these with my gun or rocket launcher, but how about I wonder if this will work? Tether tether. We're tracked and then two jets that were flying at full speed are now slamming. Oh that's pretty good above a train and a fire explosion and crashing ground. I think that's that's for me. Like, again, it's a very personal thing because you bring what you want to it, but they give you such a generous pool of health that it just encourages you to be like what can I get away with there? Like what can I try? And you have infinite explosives, and like, let's say you're halfway through liberating a settlement and you die, all the stuff you blew up is still there. You don't lose any there's not any XP or currency or anything that you lose. It just kind of there's no consequences. It's just like, hey, go have fun. That never that never turns into like, oh and so death doesn't mean anything. So I'm just gonna I mean, death doesn't Actually sometimes I purposely died because I knew my progress would be in place, but it also refills your AMMO. So like I would run out of rocket launchers in a place where I really need to blow up all these field tanks, and I'll be like, I'll just let this guy kill me, and then I'll come back with all my progress and full rockets I do. I actually found it kind of weird for a game that's that's supposed to delight in wanton destruction. Like how limited the grenades and the rocket launcher AMMO are early on, Like you only get like three grenades to start, yeah, and stuff like that, Like, but you can go in like restock on a lot of places. Like well, that's the thing that I feel like there's some weird legacy design stuff in place here where like yeah, you have to find an Ammo kiosk in this giant town and you have to find the one tiny little Ammo dispensary thing where eventually you just have infinite right, Well, you can do that rebel drop anytime. Yeah, you can rebel drop like a full on yeah. Like there's four slots you can pull in your main weapon, your side weapon like you're dual wheeled one, your special weapon like your rocket launchers, and a vehicle, so you can drop in a fighter jet or a helicopter or a tank anytime you want. It just kind of operates on this cool down and that goes away eventually, Like you can mod therestle down right to be like just keep dropping stuff. Yeah, yeah, and that's crazy too, and then the thing just drops out of the sky almost immediately. Yeah, you know, it didn't seems like like there's a much cooler game to be designed around like that level of freedom, though, Like it almost seems like that they just maybe didn't, like you know, you kind of like you're kind of saying, like you could shoot this stuff with your guns, Like it almost seems like, you know, what if they had built that game in a way that was better at kind of coaxing out like, yeah, I like being able to be gun one away, and those are weird limitations. I mean there was would be like good in structural limitations, but like what, yeah, that's just SS what like a really structured Garry's mod. Yeah. Sure, I mean, yes, not anything to do with this, but sure, why not you want just causemaker? Yeah? Basically So. I actually saw the gameplay designer for Just cost three do a talk a couple of weeks ago, and this is what he said was their biggest problem in QA and in development, was like, we've built a game that has really fun, but the tutorials that we had in place for months and months just taught people to like walk into places and shoot people, and they use the wingsuit to get from place to place, but never when they got to a place, and they use the parachute to descend, but never to shoot things. And they use the tether to to you know, jump from one place to another, but never to slam things into each other. Yeah, And it sounded at the time he was like, and then here's how we solved that problem. But I don't know that they actually solved that problem. I don't know. Some of the stuff in the game is not immediately that open to experimentation though, because like like there are multiple upgrades for the strength of the tether, because I'm and I need those and I don't have them yet, because I'm finding that, like the default tether, it breaks more often than more often than anything else when I try to string two things together, the tether just breaks and nothing moves, you know, like things things aren't quite as like free wheeling and loose and dumb as I kind of want them to be. But yeah, I should we should mention answer. There are kind of these little missions that pop up as you're around in the world that are not encounters. Yeah, they're not super frequent, but like you'll just find like markers will pop up and you can go do like a help a guy. Those are kind of interesting and I sort of wish they had maybe moved the balance more in the in that direction, like in away from the challenges in terms of gating, like kind of the upgrades those things. It'll be like this guy's boat ran out of gas in the middle of the water and he needs help. Soether tether isn't like the strangers and freaks stuff from GTA. It's more simple. They're they're they're kind of randomly generated, so they're very generic. But it'll be like, you know, like, oh, there's a there's a VIP in this being held hostage in this car like hijacket and drive it until your heat is is gone. It's like chasing down like uh like pickpockets and these instead similar to that, But I think those are the things that encourage you to play or experiment a little more. Like I had a guy whose car broke down in the middle of the road and had to tow it with fun. So you're hooking up tethers to another car and then just like sling shotting this thing around and it's smoking it on fire and upside down. Those are those are exactly what the game needed more of, the like ways to like subtly encourage you to like do really dumb stuff. It sounds like a really good, like crazy taxi off shoot. Sure, like fucking tow this car and fucking all up them. So they have garage. As your buddy Mario, it's got a garage, right, and the usually in the middle of town. Here's a pro tip. Right, you can just stand outside the garage and tell their cars as they drive by the guitar at garage and just pull them into the garage. And there's a little like five second counter that's like all right, you own this car now, and then uh and just have a pile like on cars on top of each other. You can And he says this in the game. He's like, bring your car's here or whatever. So like you can just bring boats up there if you tether them. Yeah, and you can tell their stuff. You can like tell stuff to helicopters and then take off and drop right because you can. There's a button to release the tethers when you're in the helicopter, so you can just start dropping every car. Person. He doesn't like military vehicles. So you say, person, you can well you don't get them, oh, but you can tell you I want people to a helicopter and fly around off. You could tell them to the helicopter blade. I want to I want to customize person with Nitrius. Yeah. Well this game is it seems like this game is going to generate endless hilarious animated gifts. And I think on the PC people will go in and do some crazy moth stuff like they did with the other ones, and they there aren't a lot of limits, so I wonder what they'll do for it, But it sounds like they were doing stuff with the multiplayer team to maybe like be like you know, I think they were like, hey, you guys can come visit the studio and see what we're up to. That way you're like prepped to do your thing, like hey, check it out, Hey come swing by. We can't pay you, but hey, here you go. And if we ever started on this, we ever made this, it would be a broken mess because it's like there's no way to actually do this. So like if you want to do now, like the default game, off the off the shelf game barely holds itself together on the consoles. So so yeah, I think I think I kind of fall in line with Dan. You know, I've looked at the review and uh, you know, it's got its problems, but there's fun to be had there and when it's running, well, when it's running I think as intended, it looks really nice and the explosions are top notch. They have the best fire art design of just about any game I can name, like just whoever it is that works on the damn fire should get a raise. Put them in charge of the whole studio. You can just we're fire. We just make fire and fire into every other game. Yeah, makes such a dumb line by Mario, your buddy, when you like in the first five minutes of the game where there's like this retribution mission where the bad, big bad guys like, I'm gonna go kill everybody in your town, but everybody looking motherfucker, and Mario is like, listen, don't worry about what you do, will rebuild, like you blow up what you need to blow up will be fine, Okay, which is dumb, and I think it just shows like there, yeah, just go and blow everything up, have fun and bring your own fun, because there's, like you said, Brad, there's just not a lot there that's interesting. In that mission, you feel like you've seen most of what the game has to offer structurally in like three hours. We didn't. And then and then it's just ways ways to of thinking, thinking of ways to to you know, completely objective in creative ways, right, and getting bigger stuff. I mean, it gradually does give you more and more ludicrous rocket launchers, and that's the thing That's what I'm looking forward to, getting those upgrades when I feel like I can tether eight different things together and really do some goofy stuff, because I just don't feel like I'm quite there yet. It's really sammy overall. But you know, I spent over forty hours with it, and you know, even after I beat it, I went back and liberated all the settlements just because it's kind of fun to just fly around stuff up in that game. I feel like that's been my refrain over and over again with like most open world games from the last couple of years. I think I've commented on that in a couple of my reviews, Like as much as I loved Syndic Sorry Assassin's Creek Syndicate talk about they had d that thing is still applying the same damn formula. You know, Mad Max was the same formula You've seen done over and over again Batman kind of the same thing. And it's just I feel like it doesn't matter how ludicrous the game is if it's still applying that formula, there's a limit to how much I'm I'm able to sort of enjoy it at this point. I will say, also, we in the quick look encountered like a mission bug like we did where it was hey do this thing and make sure everybody survives, and like we did it. And then there was only one time where we actually completed it and we got to the next scene, and then it just popped up mission flag a cut scene of a boat driving away. I think the boat exploded. I think the boat exploded during the cut scene. So I failed that mission. It's hard to be mad about that, right, Oh, I don't know. It's a little weird. And then there was a little the second time it was like, hey defend these guys. Guy had full health. He must have jumped into the water and just died because he went from full health of zero health. Immediately. I had a thing where I was running around a town just kind of blowing everything up, and all of a sudden it did the kind of like freeze frame things like you just got this in your garage, and it was a boat and I wasn't near the water, so I get our boat. Is that what I might have did a boat accidentally drive into the garage. I think at some point, just in all the chaos of me blowing up and tethering everything in this town, somehow a boat flew out of the water and the garage nice, which that's pretty cool. There's you gotta get nitrous on the boats, and they also just give you a jump. The turbo jump on the cards and boats is really stupid. So the nitrous on the prop planes is also real good stuff. So like there's helicopters, he's find your stuff, like, and there's you know, the first time I ran a boat from the water to above ground and then saw a meter ticking up, that's like, hey, you got pretty far on your leaderboard of getting boats onto land. Uh, you know, I think it's fun anyway. That's like forty five minutes on just cause it is a fun game. It's it's it's not without its faults. No, well it's for me. It's for me. It's just caused two. Okay, it just caused one. Yes, was barely a game like it was that game was it was an idea. Yeah, And it's like, you know, that game came out like the first second year of the three sixty, very early on in the three sixty, and like like just the scale of the world was the thing in that game, and I felt like it came out there in the open world land Rush right right, it was like holy shit, Like I had got in helicopters in that game and just like hit the you know, the ascend button until it wouldn't go any higher, just so I could look at how damn big the world was. And like that's not inherently super impressive these days, you know now, because every game's thing is like at that you can go there, right, And like like two was like two thirds of an amazing game, and I was hoping they would fill in the last third in this, but instead it's just like it's more just causing different. It's like a slightly different two thirds. Yes, that's kind of Yes, they didn't quite get all the way there and they're not helped, but but it's still it's still, like you said, it's still a really fun sandbox. Yeah, fuck around, I was. I think they're not helped buy the amount of time that goes on between those games, because twenty ten might as well have been the nineteen thirties at this point. It was a long time ago for sure in stores now just cause three. But I if you don't have a decent PC and can't play it on the PC, I would wait and see what they say about patching it on what they do with it, because that version is rough and reviews up. Now, Yes, guys, I have breaking news late on me long time listeners. By a long time, I mean like last week Giant Bomb action news. We'll remember this topic. I just got a link in my Twitter. Only nineties Giant bomb fans will understand this one. Uh. To an article on FDA dot gov public notification stree Overlord contains hidden drug ingredients. I don't know hidden hidden is the surprising post right, as opposed to all the drug ingredients that are very obvious in that product. Yeah, you can find a picture of what we're talking about. What is it? What is it? Hidden drugs in the show notes. Uh, let's see this says FDA laboratory analysis confirmed that Street Overlord contains sildenafil, the active ingredient, and viagraph Oh. Sildenafil may interact with nitrates found in some prescription drugs uh and may lower blood pressure to dangerous levels. Is that not what Street Overlord purports to do? Right? Yeah? Yeah, but I don't think that means it's like it's got the real stuff in it. It's not just like you is it supposed to be a boner pill? Like, is that how it's averaging? Yea advertised as boner friendly. You know, I'd say the language on the packaging is open to interpretation. But yeah, sure, But you can't just buy like something like bax of nerds that's filled with morphine and just be like these things. Maybe you can't. You should go to the dead my state, like the nine different hookah shops. You'll still have to be more specific. Yeah, yeah, I like the opening of the last paragraph in this Consumers should stop using these products and throw them away signed your mom. It's like, but don't flush them down the toilet, because then it'll all get into the true city's water. That's true, it'll go out to the ocean. Then all the fish are gonna be swimming around with giant boners. But that's just that's terrific. That is actually crazy that they have taken a prescription drug and put it in this thing that they are selling mass market. Doesn't it have a picture of like bootleg chun Lei and U Bonu No viagra does not have that. You're gonna see, Alice, it's just you and Chunlei into bathtubs on a fucking hill somewhere. Yeah, it's yes, you throwing a football through a tire swing. It's three bloody roar characters all fucking oh god dot tumblr dot com because you're a ducan not what it used to be. I turned into a bunny for this one. They call me the real beast Riser. When it comes time to dragon punch, you don't want to pause to take a pill. All right, Well thanks for that important piece of housekeeping out owners, So throw away your boot Lake street Fighter boater pills. Get the real hang on to them because that just means they do the thing you bought them for. Buy them in bolk. Thought they would. My president would not be coming to take mustry overlord exactly. Not truth. Uh, heybody got any other games I want to talk about? I played a whole lot of Keep Talking and Nobody explodes. Yeah, yep, goods that was the family game. Yeah I can see that. Because they don't have a game, nobody has to have any controllers, So like mom or grandma or dad or whatever. Hey, you just read this thing and you come to a family a bomb diffusers, so this works out true? Yeah, we still doing a PC version. Yeah, doing the PC version. Uh. And then we're all sitting around the table and we split up the manual. It's like everyone gets like three modules. So it's like, Okay, who's this module? Which is great because when you start packing on the modules, you need to do multiple modules at the same time. Oh can you I've even played that thing. Can you control how how complicated this is? Yeah? Yeah? You manuals or no? I mean you got the one man you can. You can crank up the number of modules and decrease the amount of time, and you have to diffuse them and you can turn on those needy modules. Right, So there are separate modules that you have to keep maintaining and coming back to, like you'll you'll satisfy it for a bit, but then like fifteen seconds later, put it'll pop back on. You got to go deal with it again. So, and there's also hardcore mode, which means that you know, normally when you're diffusing and you make a mistake, you get three mistakes and then you blow up. Well, you get two and then your third one blows you up. Hardcore mode mode makes you blow up on the first one. So we got we got up to seven minutes coming back eleven modules hardcore and needy gee, and and we were diffusing those getting good. He's weird usb key. I thought I was joking about your bomb diffusing family, but apparently we really are and we all we like Also there's a there's a Morse code module, so like we started knowing a little bit of cheese. That's like okay. Like the person diffusing the bomb would say like, okay, first letter is an S, which is nuts instead of being like, instead of saying with the worst code is exactly between between that game and her story. It's a good year for learning weird fucking tap codes. Yeah, why did your like phone ring and they're like scanlins. It's no trouble getting the getting all the family members in No, totally not. Yeah, that's awesome. Do not need to be gamers. I'd have to bust that out over the whole days, though. I think you should be like, you should get like a no. I think it's only on piece right now. I thought it was on mobile. I don't think so. I don't think it is yet. You can like, yeah, yeah, there's like a mobile version of That's not the way to do it. You got to print that out. It would make a lot of sense for mobile, just like rotate with two fingers or whatever. It does makes sense. It's like a lot of sense to get in a bathtub and put like a lead lined blanket over you with the laptop on top of the lead liner and play that way. That doesn't make sense. Yeah, it just makes sense, all right. I understand the number of you have been playing the tomb Raider Have yes? I started? Yeah, yes, I played some of the tombs. I am tomy tales of the tomb Raiders, please, I am fairly deep in. I thought that the whole Siberia section would would end a lot sooner than it did. But I have now done all the challenge tombs in that area, and I'm past sort of the point where you get without getting into spoilers, just saying like, you get to the location that you're looking for at one point at the beginning of that area, and now it's kind of moving beyond the scope of that original open area. Okay, so you're just getting out of Siberia. I'm just getting out of the first time. Yeah, Okay, they find a lot of I mean, you know, it's got the whole like that's roidy like, hey, I got this thing, so now I can go back and open those caves in that place. That ye yeah, and that's that's that that's what I ended up doing. But and all those are there good reasons to go back. It's like challenge tombs. There's like like main story stuff is like return to this area and do this. There's a hand So there's like two or three challenge tumbes that are locked up behind stuff like that, and those you always get some unique ability out of those things, so they're always doing. What happened to her abilities she had last time? Why did she lose the rope arrow? She forgot to see the most Well, so she went to therapy between the two games and she lost most of her abilities. Well, she went to fucking Siberia without a fucking gun and then marks like nine people with really good looking guns and doesn't bother to pick him up. She's supposed to be a fucking survivalist. Now you get a gun, and you get a gun. She finds a gun on the right, goes, oh, a gun, Maybe I should take this rusted out revolver. Meanwhile, you've been like killing people with fucking assault rifles. You get asaul rie, you get an assault rival. The first few people you kill have fucking assault right everything, No, I'm sorry, you have to trade, God damn everybody. You have to trade. You have to trade eighty or ancient Byzantine coins for assault rifles. You have to find the right gun so that you can get the mods so you can attach those to the rest gun. Write me one line of fiction where she picks up the gun and goes bio locked and set them back down. Or what you would really do is you never pick up a gun you don't know or use ammunition. You didn't pack yourself. So she should say this has been once said, never pick up a gun. I didn't fload myself. And uh yeah, her copy of like Extreme Prepper, I don't know how many grains of gunpowder and these bullets if you know it's it's excited. It could have been wet, could have happened. Yet we just take Please take all your wet bullets and throw them away. They're not for human. That gun could jam. Who knows that rest that revolver revolvers are good good if the fancy murder cult is, if it's good enough for them, like pick up the rifle. I know that's silly, but check back into like another ten hours when she does decide to pick up Yeah, okay, you're telling me that it's ten hours before she realized you could pick up a r It's not. It's rifle during the Siberia stuff, you're not that Yeah, So what do you think so far? I think it's not as open as I was of the belief. I'm actually surprised by how constrained it is. I think maybe that that particular aspect of the game got a lot of lip service because it's the new thing. Yeah, but it's not a it's not a true open world. It just seems like fire and I've yet to find a good reason to go back to a previous one because well, I don't know, unless I want to do side stuff like I you know, I got that revolver and I'm a little ways past. I don't think it doesn't sounds like you're not through the first like quote unquote hub, which is what they call the actual Okay, all right, okay, you're still in the early part. Then the very first Siberia area is is kind of closed off from all that other stuff. But like I'll say this, did you get to a place where there are side mission givers? No, Okay you're not. You're not there yet, Okay, Okay, it opens up considerably, Okay, okay after the part you're because because yeah, it's like everyone's talking about how this great old world and I'm like playing, it's going like, no, this is like you know, you might as well just have someone standing in front of me. This is follow because there's one way through this. Yeah. No, the part you're in is is the part that is patterned after what the first game was. Okay, and it does well, I'm not liking that part. Yeah, the same reason. For the same reason I didn't like that. I'm with you. It was illustrating. It wasn't until I got to the like I did that the first optional challenge to him, and I was like, this boat is in the ice. That's nuts. And I climbed up that thing and the party said, now you can shoot two errors. At the same time, I'm like, well that seems valuable. Have you learned that from that boat or yeah, that boats full of arrows? Oh, I can tell you stuff. So there was an ancient codex on elector into that boat that said, hey, what if you put two arrows on the boat. Wait a minute, what do I find another boat that tells me pick up the gun. Yeah, that's the gun man. You were seeking the wisdom of the ancients. The world the ancient gun boats full of boats until we all froze during the first nobody talks about us. Put me in your grove. I have to spend a skill point to understand that I can use these gas like tanks to create explosions. I am way into byzantine gun boats, like that's that's my ship. Like I understand man. Video games or video games, you start at the bottom and work your way up. But there's like some just basic stuff like if if you if you try to take it in world is like, well, Lara's just got to survive. Then you're like, she's the worst at this played no video, No, it's like keep the gun, just take like the a shotgun accidentally got stuck in that wall somehow as part of that thing, Like it's just weird. Oh look I found this. Somebody tied a rope to an arrow. Fucking genius that I forgot all about that. Oh we used to do that back in the day, back in old Blighty. Unlocks that memory dark up North. Oh, but I can tie rope to these arrows. Is she a fucking chimney sweet? What you're doing? Yes? Not everybody who's British as a chimney sweep. I don't know if you did die dispute that sir very strongly. Well right in. If you're from the UK, let us know how much chimney sweeping have you done. They're like, yeah, chimney sweep. Their screens are covered in soot, their fingers are so black with soothing they can't even the screens don't work. It again. One rag that just says yup and soot written on it. Man, it's just like syndicate male bags I've seen since visiting. Yeah, pretty much. Yeah, here's what I'll say. I'm enjoying the hell out of Tune Rider. Yeah. I did not expect that game. I like the first one, I think more than most of the people at this table, but I also did not necessarily expect this one to grab me at all. Uh, and I have been having a like, I've had a hard time pulling myself away from it to go play like Fallout or which or any other stuff that I need to catch up on because I don't know. The loop in that game is real good. Yeah, I like, I like running around and finding stuff. I need, I need a good term for this. But I've always wanted to come up with a good way to describe like the video game equivalent of a page turner, you know, just something that's constantly, yeah, satisfying you in short bursts to the point that you can't stop. Because Yeah, that game, I think it's what they call that gotcha. I mean it's like with this one at least, I mean I've gotten you know, I'm I'm probably ten hours into it or whatever. But the set pieces so far, like Crystal Dynamics is giving the uncharted folks a run for their money with this one. Like, there's some really amazing scenery. It's just it's one of, by far, one of the best looking games I've seen all year. Yeah, it looks incredible. How far are you? I just beat it? Okay, So that the game turns in like it really really wants to be a shooter towards the end of the day, Yeah, they do start laying the combat on kind of thing. Yeah, and it's not the best shooter, yeah, I've heard. Yeah, eventually. But yeah, yeah, the game like you know, held me, you know, all throughout having a newborn, you know what I mean. It's like, okay, all right, when does that happen? Yeah, bah, you play I found a boat and here first, this game is better than Jason's Baby or Sho's out there in the wilderness for a while. Yeah, I found this package a street Overlord. I also appreciate it, like when I we talked about it on the Beast Cast a little bit. Uh, the early goings of that game, they lay on the melodrama so thick, like all the just the intense desperation that Laura is going through and just like how everything that's happening to her is just the most awful thing. Oh, the script is terrible. It's like you're either all the dialoguists like if an entire fucking cavern isn't you know collapsing on her, She's falling into corpse water, Like there's just no restpit in those early parts of it seems like all as soon as there's that early point where it's like she lights it up and there's a zillion scorpions, and the game from there is just like here's nine more fucked up situations. So once you get out of that early stuff, once you kind of get past that boat section, it calms down a little bit. Like there are definitely still moments, like especially during the story sequences, where you are constantly running from exploding everything, but it has a little bit more some other volume knobs besides just the most the most awful everything all at once, And I appreciate. I'm glad that it finally settled into that, because early on I was like, this is too fucking much. I like that there are there is a system in that game that prevents you from shooting allies. Yes, okay, And there's one spot where I thought it would engage and it didn't. There's a spot where a guy in a cut scene, a guy gets his eyes poked out and is left there to just kind of hang out and be in pain and Sam Neil event Horizon shit happens to him. Yeah, it goes back for him. It's you know, he fucked up and he paid the price, and it's just how it goes sometimes. And you can totally shoot him in the head, Yes, you can put him out of his misery and and then it pops him goes Hey, stealth Kill twenty five XPE, Like, yeah, I guess he couldn't see all. No, I looked at that. She is always cold killer. Yeah, she is the Nathan. She is like Nathan Drake that way. Well, to be fair, they're all evil. They're just they're just all evil. That guy has his eyes poked out. He didn't sign up for this man, I guess technically he did. That is actually one of my favorite things. And normally I try to ignore the in text sort of story stuff and in these games, but this one, there's a good through line with a guy who's just like a mercenary contracted by the evil organization, him just being like these people are fucked. Yeah, they did things that the scrolls or whatever. He finds they're the equivalent of audiologues. Yeah, like there are those are those have already gotten pretty good. We're like they're like eight different storylines where through those and like six of them are not great, but a couple of them yeah, like there, It's it's cool. They draw a distinction between like who the hired Mrks are and who the like true believer religious fanatic guys are, and like the Burks don't trust the you know, it's it's you realize they could just be fucking killed at any moment, you know. On the whims of that, that crazy dude is voiced by sat Zach Ward. I think no idea, Yeah, they'll lead dude. I originally thought it was the guy who played the there was a guy in con Air that he sounds just like that. I thought it was him. Was like, no, it's it's Zach Ward, who he may remember from postal. So even the optional side tambs. I have a bunch of those audiologus as well, and those have been actually interesting. Yeah, like I you know, they're they're very individualized, like they feel different from one another. Like I was kind of critical on those initially, but once I got a little fur further in, it's like, wow, this is like an exorcism chamber. This is kind of awesome. All these really cool, faded like murals on the wall depicting you know, what had happened there, and then you get those audiolas. It's funny. Also think it's like super funny that it's just like stare at these murals and eventually you'll know Greek. Yeah, but only level one. Yeah, that's the thirteenth Warrior. I know how it works. Yeah, so are the audiologs are interpreting the murals or the mix is there like a cassette player. But you have to have you have a level in Greek and a level in Russian. I think that was in the first one and Mongolian. I think you decide you learned languages in the first But why are there audiologs in these seals? You're you know, you're findings or whatever, and it's being read in the voice of the person who wrote. Also like it's a fabrication. Also, you will find actual audiologs from people in like Trinity, like current people. Okay not not not the old the Byzantines did not have audiolog technology as far as I know. Did very confused. You just didn't stare at the right girls right on your left, You're don cr Well maybe when they when they put on some of those hollow lens things, you know, I'll get some of that depretors kind of like the surprise hit of the season for me. Really yeah, like like Alex, that was I was real big on that first one. I thought it was real good. They just needed to iron out some stuff. Yeah, I think I think it's like this, this game sur past expectations in a season and when a lot of games are kind of not living up. I mean, if you any of you messed with the like there, it's kinds twitch integration and cards and all this other stuff doesn't seems really well, like our card stuff seems like you know, I am immediately suspicious of any games. It's like, hey, what's spent three dollars and buy a pack of fucking cards? Like, oh great, I can't believe that. I can't believe they even sell those cards because they're just for that side mode that's kind of like the resid eval mercenaries or whatever. It's just the way to play through sequences again for store. Okay, okay, it's just a it's a score attack type thing. I haven't touched any of that stuff whatsoever. What's the twitch stuff, Yeah, that's some kind of twitch integration you can enable people. Yeah, there's there's a way for there's a way for people to manipulate the game while you're streaming it. But I don't know what. I don't know anybody that's actually mess with that, So why would you ever want? Like it was none of that stuff was active when I reviewed it, so I never messed around with it. But anyway, bizarre, can you unlock any permanent unlocks through those cards, like costumes or anything. It's all just for that side. I just don't know if it comes into the single player. But yeah, like I've unlocked some costumes that have zero resale and they like it doesn't change your percentage at all, So I wonder if those are are permanent. I don't know. I also when I fired it up, it said like community unlocked Rattlesnake. Yeah, it's like but it seems like it's just a gold version of the starting pistol. Yeah, Waites, does this game have Girl? No? Yeah, she's she's on her way to be back from Girls? Are your girls on her way back to the Sun? Now? Wait for real? For real? Turned around. That's why you brought it up because Girl Girl's been in the news lately. Wow, I mean, what else is girl gonna do? Going? I mean on the planet toys out there, It's like once you get to the Orc Cloud, it's just like fuck that ship. Go hang out in Kuiper Belt. That's where the Reapers live. That's true, get back. She's gonna come back, and her face is just she's like I've seen things, she destroys all. She's just hair. Hair is gonna go and be going. I put the barrel of that gun to my head and push the pac Man pac Man button. Wow. Uh any other video games already played? Speaking of Larcroft has and we played the DLC for Larcroft. I saw that came out one for free Thanksgiving. Yeah, they put out a whole new like episode for lar. I think it's just permanently for I play. Oh, I didn't mess with it yet. I shamefully have not finished that game yet. Finish game. Yeah, I did play some other things that I suspect may have been originally planned as DLC. But we're patched into a game Tony Hawk's pro Skater five. Wait, maybe you've heard of it. We visited that game I'm aware of. So they have added the teenage mutant Ninja Turtles and Tyler the Creator. Wait, no, it just showed up in the game. Yeah. The most recent patch was actually like a huge patch that happened. It has two new levels, okay, and then the patch notes are like, hey, we did like we revisited the lighting and a lot of levels, We touched up some shaders. We did a sponsor update for a lot of the skaters. Uh, and you know the important ship. They added a toggle for double tap to slam, which is the grind button was also a so if you hit the grind button in the air, you would slam down of the co cone and it was a bad It was a bad thing. They've added a toggle that makes it so the triangle button, the grind button works as advertised as you expect from previous games. You can double tap it to slam down, so you can hold it going into a grind huh okay, which is an improvement in a game that needs more than one improvement to be salvaged. So it's like a weird thing where it's like I have to imagine that that content was something that they were originally like, oh yeah, maybe we'll sell this for ten bucks. Here's two levels and two skaters. Activision not exactly in the free content business. Yeah, but maybe at some point they're like, hey, nine people bought this game, maybe we could raise that number two eleven if we just put this stuff in it. Who is Tyler the creator? He's a hip hopist, you know, the Ninja Turtles. They're also he's he's the one that does machines. He's cool but rude. Tyler does machines. He's cool but rude. That's actually that's pretty. He's also a party dude, to be fair, he's kind of all of the Yeah does he do machine Yeah, he's like he directs all his own videos. Okay, that's like doing machines because I mean that is like doing machines today. So that they basically just added the teenage mutant Ninja girls twice. Man, what a bunch of bulls, What a bunch of bullshit. I wish it was Earl sweatshirt instead. Yeah, me too. Maybe they'll add it, you know, yeah, say, does it say Tyler the creator? The way he has a golf skateboard? Wayne didn't actually say it was just little Wayne? Yeah yeah right. Also, Wheezy f Baby was in there golf. It's it's the branded skateboard. It's a brand little Yeah. I love games. I think we're killing Vinnie. It's his new dance move. He just don't know what to call it. It's a skateboard. So five totally now right, No, No, the frame rate is still bad. Was anyone in the lobbies. I connected to one other player in the Asteroid Belt level. Did they seem sad? Wait? Isn't that game all about connecting the players constantly? You only found one the whole time you played it? Well, I only played. It's on a per level basis, so maybe no one else was playing the aspid Belt level. It's just Tony Hawks. It's Tony Hawk's lawyer playing it. I'm looking for bad faith, you know, a bad faith argument about it? Tony? This game is terrible? What game? Yeah, don't worry about it. We're gonna get your new house. Are they gonna rename the radio station after me? Again? There's this still after that Australian dude? What are we doing? That happened too? I think I don't know. I'm doing seven fucking twenties? What I'm doing? Tony fucking remember that lawyer? No, he invented a seven twenty, didn't he d It's part of the ruck. He's trying to do a seven twenty program, seven twenty the video game, if that's what you're meaning that. He once jumped over a Manx t tea machine. Fuck bees, I hate fucking bees. Yeah, No, we all hit these Tony. It's like, no, I hate him professionally. I'm a skater. I put on this machine. Fuck it all up? Ye, No, good job, Tony. It's not even track ball. It's like a weird it's a battle but with a joystick sticking out of it at a weird angle. Who would make that? So's hot? It's a keeps so good whatever thing? You so good? So skater Dice first, and then seven twenty. Uh no, No, seven twenty came first because it's the game that's at skat or die. And then someone Eddie said, why don't we make a game called skater di? You're in. I got this letter from Tom says, why don't you make a game called skater Die? Do it all? Right? Okay, so the preference, what do you prefer? Skater Die or seven twenty? Yeah? Oh man, she's a child. You can fight people inside of a bowl and skater die. Yeah, it's got the pool joust. Skater Die, I'm gonna say, is probably the game I leaned seven twenty. That's only because we had a seven twenty machine at the Phoenix Theater for so many years, so I just got so used to playing it. Yeah, it's just one of those things where it's like, I feel like the half pipe in seven twenty is actually kind of lame. The slalom is just dumb, but it's easy at least like the events. It's just the open world in seven twenty is so rad and don't buy pads and don't don't buy it for the Common or sixty four was well so the cool thing about the US version. So there are two versions of seven twenty for the Common or sixty four. They made that game twice twice. In one of them early versions of the game, like the one I bought at my local mall, the bees didn't work, okay, so you just senor the bees. Yes, they censored the bees. It wouldn't play in this market. Uh. And then they eventually released the version I think that had the bees in it. But so like it just you never lost. You couldn't lose. The bees never came. The bees never came Silent Spring exactly. They're just not They're not there. No, the colony collapse was real in the early versions of seven twenty. For the Commodo of sixty four, it was really a political message, was not head of its time. Speaking of which, I don't know. I read it. I read a headline that said that bees are back beat. The bees are back in a big way, big way in like a twenty year high or something for bees. Like the Woutan Clan you're talking about. Basically, they sold that album. Did you see that? Yes? Yeah, Wooten Clan made an album. They made one copy of that's it, and someone bought it for like milli years of dollars. Yeah, no one will ever hear the person shares shares on it. Share is on the share is like she's she's on the case. Figure it out. Okay, how do they prevent people from uploading eighty eight years? So they sold it to one guy? Yeah, but how did they prevent that guy? Part of him buying it was a contract saying you will not Oh, he can't release this. I was hoping. I was hoping this was like the guy who finds the prototype cart or whatever and and can decide if he wants to release it to everybody. I was kind of hoping that would be the case. The guy with the curiosity cute. I think whoever bought it should just do it anyway. Fucking see me in court. I'm a hero. Right exactly. No jugg will convict him no, otherwise it loses it. Wan clan have come out and said this is fucking stupid. It is stupid that guy think I say it's good. They did not say who the guy was they did. I don't know, we don't know they do. It looks like it was Vinyl. I don't know, huh. They also released an album on a speaker. It was just a couple of songs. Okay, they were exclusive to the speaker. Is Rizza? Okay? Do we need to get him to talk to someone? Something going on? He took some blows while filming the The man with the iron fist fifth hit him upside the head of a few times. So did you say members of the clan or the Okaye members of the clan also think it's a bad totally different reasons, but they have come out and said that this is dumb. It was just like, this is stupid. He's trying to make money. Cavadonna though he's all about yeah, ca On is like driving a here like I got Did I get a share of this money that we're doing? No? But I imagine if they get a share of it, if they if they took that money and split it even who knows. Who knows how the resident is handling business with the wootank Land, But I would love to know what the residual breakdown. I would assume that we ever paid this money for it would get like that there would be percentages off that sale and some residual residual. God damn you. But every time he plays it, he's gotta put like a quarter in and send out like BMI money. I gotta fucking register this every time. Between this and Robert Rodriguez is movie with John Malkovich that will not be released for one hundred years. I officially with this, I think art needs to stop. What's the Robert Ricuez? Robert Rodriguez made a movie, a sci fi movie with John Malkovich starring in it, and it will be locked in a time capsuble for a hundred years. It's already on power Bay. You can go. I just feel like, you know, if we could get the identity of the guy who bought this Woo Tang album, like it's not you know, that guy can get gone. We could jack him like this now, you know, like where's he got it? Is he having a vault somewhere. No, it's a safety deposit box somehow. How bad do you want to hear a new Utang album in twenty fifteen? I mean I would be interested in hearing it, but they also have put out other materials the only Okay, so what if you and I go cut a decent album and then we say that you're bought it and just release it? All right? Yeah, because we're gonna we're gonna release the new Utang, but it really just bow just start rapping. He yeah, okay, all right, we can do this. Yeah, okay, that's cerebral shit. The j is crazy, the JIU went off the deep end. Son, Yeah, we could do this. Yeah, he keeps. I got another one where I mentioned the name of every baseball team this time. Isn't that crazy? Including ones that aren't even around exactly starts with the yeah, we're gonna expose these rhymes. We just have to say that, like, hey, listen, the Lieuten clan is gonna come out and say this isn't the album because I'm breaking breaking contract here, so like just know that up front they're gonna come out real. But anyway, here's the album. Yeah, let's do it and it's just fucking it's a Share album and we just we drop a bunch of ODB samples on it. It's just like it's just a recording of a Share album and then US is going yo yo, but Share is actually like, yeah, that's the one that sounds that sounds about n life if dont Loane, this is the album that killed him? Yeah? Oh man? All right, going once, any of the games anybody wants to bring to the four here real fast? Any Fallout stories, any anything, look about some news Okay, let's talk about some news news all right, it's just can we actually do a quick fallout? People stick him with fall Out. I want to get back to it. I absolutely want to get back to it. But your head, no, not like not doing anything for you. I was still thinking about the woutang thing. Yeah no, I kind of like I kind of fell out with Fallout. You had a falling out, so like I don't know, like somewhere I haven't played enough of it, right, I've only played about five or six hours of it. But every time I do something, I just feel like I see the like landscape and carpet roll out in front of me, and like I know where I'm going with this. I know what's gonna happen, but I haven't done a lot of the bass stuff. I don't think I was The bass stuff is not to draw. I don't think I was ready talking about though, Like you know that that's the major new thing to the Fallout formula stuff, But I don't know why, and I don't think they know why. Someone just loves the bass stuff. I don't imagine that ninety percent of people engage with that bass stuff and any there's one point of story where you have to engage with the building mechanics, but later on that you're kind of forced, at at least in my case, when I engage with the building mechanics. So I'm constantly asking myself why, Yeah, I'm doing build that dope basketball But well, yeah, okay, you're right. I saw your basketball court. It was pretty cool, So I don't think it's a bad game. But I just I don't have an hunger for more Fallout at this point, Like maybe if there was a little more time between New Vegas and this, but I just feel like, yeah, no, this is very familiar to me, and I know that this is going to take a lot of time. It could be a time and place thing too. There's a lot of games out right now that could take up my time. Yeah, fall Out fields a little bit like a known quantity and like not known to such a degree that you really need to get back into it. I don't that you know and love so much that you have to do it again. And it's not like I actively actively dislike it. I just feel like I'm doing more Fallout. Yeah. Yeah. For for me, it felt like every game they made for like from all the way from More I Wind Up the Sky and there was like a clear jumping quality for every game they put out until now. And now it's like, Okay, they may have kind of plateaued a little bit. It's like it's still good, it's still sprawling and interesting, but it's kind of more of that, and there's some systems bolted on that it just start. You know, the crafting stuff seems fleshed out, and you know, but that's not drawing, man, that's just shooting. That stuff has like dug its claws deep into me and has So this is probably my favorite, but that's the game since More Wind, which is probably still my favorite because I had your giant bugs that you wrote around on for fast Travel, like that's yeah, okay exactly, thank you. Uh. And And the reason that I think this one has this clause in it means because that crafting stuff one is like I've bought into that crafting stuff both because I wanted like a dope new scope on my gun and because I want to build a cool bar in my settlement, even though it doesn't do anything really, And because of that, I've bought into that stuff. There is a loop on this game that didn't exist or replaces a previous loop that I was sick of. And but as the games I used to really hate the like, oh, I'm gonna go get as much stuff as I can carry and then come up back and sell it, and I'm gonna have money, and then I'm never we're gonna really need that money to buy anything, except like I'll dump it all once on a sword that I guess sounds cool. But then I'll stop using that sword because I get a better drop in an hour anyway here because I have something to invest in that isn't just like a new weapon. I love that loop of going out and getting junk and starting to recognize what I think is valuable in the world, and not just recognizing it because like, oh it will sell for lots of caps, but because I want more copper wire so I can better light my stripped wire out of the walls. But it was microscopes. For me, it was like every microscope I saw, I was like, well, that's got stuff. Yeah, you know, that's got nuclear material to need that for scopes? Exactly? Is there is there a payoff every time the loop cycles over though, because that for me, that's where I ran out of steam on this stuff. But for me, there is, But that loop is a completely subjective thing. I think I never play a more pure building game than like feel like this crammed in system. Yeah, I would, bean, it's more like, you know, like I'd keep playing Minecraft. I to go back to Terraria if I want to. If I could do it to like act Razor mode or something and actually have a better, cleaner, cleaner view of that would be ideal. But I still engage with this stuff pretty readily. Yeah, I mean it's me. It's it's the part where it doesn't really do anything, like you're building stuff. Yeah, for me, it was like the the only real value it held for me past, like the initial like experimental phase of like what even is this was? There's a point there. I reached a point in the story where I had to make decisions about which faction I was going to back. And it was like that was something that like took a while because I was like, well, okay, I know how I would solve this ending or how I would solve these problems which faction is going to kind of bring me that way? And it took me a couple hours of thinking. So I went around all my settlements and built them up, right, See, I was thinking about what to do. I really like that there isn't always a mechanical benefit because like, so you know, I have a really cool arcade in the basement of my animal crossing house, right, and I don't have that because it gives me some mechanical bonus. I have it because like, I know what a cool arcade looks like in my head, and if there was a mechanical way to best build settlements and fall out, I would do that, and it would it would look the same as everybody else's, uh settlement. Because it doesn't. It opens up this possibility space for me to say, like all right, like what's my sanctuary look like, Okay, it's this weird windmill town. I'm gonna put windows on all of the roofs and it's going to catch the sun in the specific ways so that when I walk back, I'm going to see it and like, oh, that's my home specifically not and I would because I'm the sort of player who if I could min max it, I totally would min max it. So I'm not saying that's like a universally better thing in a game. In a different game, in a game like a tumb rator that's a little more constrained, I would want a system that is really well balanced and like does have min maxing available to it. But in the game where I'm like I'm gonna lose myself in this game for seventy hours, let me just explore that esthetic space, Like, let me just be that dude who has weird windmill towns and you know which is like the duller. Yeah, I am that guy. I Like, I absolutely appreciate that for the people for whom the building is the reward, you know, like just seeing your plans manifested in front of you and like kind of you know, it's like satisfaction of a job well done, right right, but so cleaning it feels good. That's the other thing is like I like cleaning out the cleaning up the jump is really good. But for me, it just it just it is not inherently satisfying enough for me to want to keep doing it. And that's that. I would much rather like engage with a game that was just a better building thing and just do that instead. And why like the menus and scrolling through that stuff doesn't feel good. I have no defense for that stuff well at all. Uh. And like I think for me, it was as soon as I heard that sound of going into vats, like there's something inside of me that was like, oh, yeah, right, I've heard I know this, I know that sound. I remember, like, fuck, there's probably a mod you can take that sound out if you want. One that gets the ding out, the register noise, one that makes the level up noise and john seen wait wait removes the cash register. Yeah, why would you people sound of a cash register? I need to know when people are dead. Yeah, I want it only for like when legendaries are dead, and when I level up, I can have other noises for the rest of the I'm of the opinion that you can never have too many cash register or slot machine sounds in a video game. Just replace it with the Howie scream every single time. That's just me. All right, Well, there's your fall out up date for the way. Is there a way to bring my save to PC? Yeah? Yeah, someone someone figure that out. That's definitely came about because people busted open the three sixty save format such a thorough way. Yeah, and I have to assume that stuff is way more protected now. I mean, there's no way to even get saves off of an Xbox One. You can, you can at least get so you can get the files off of PS four, But I don't think anybody's unpacked them yet. I mean, not doing USB thing on Xbox One. No, there's no all just the clouds all just automated in the cloud. Yeah you can't. I mean you could yank the hard drive out of that thing and figure out what somebody. Yeah, you're rather there's stuff yeh, But but I mean whatever you can you can move all your stuff to an external drive and plug that in. Yeah, I guess so, I don't know if you can access those. Fine, I only give you the PS four, you can get those files, right, So I'm playing on PS four, so I could get those files. I don't know that anybody's done the way. You'd have to impack that to unpack it and figure out how to re repack it and sign it. It's because the tools on like the what was it Explorer three sixty was the Yeah, it's because people were hacking achievements and hacking. Yeah, there were there were very easily obtainable applications on the PC to just open up whatever it was on a three sixty format at USP stick and just pull all the files out of it. And and it turned out that the save format for the three sixty sky Room was just like the PC, so it was literally a process of copying the files forward lands. There may be something similar out there for that stuff. I could be wrong. It's very possible that you know, they're still on the same engine in the save format, that's probably the same. Yeah, just somebody's got to get those files out. Do you think your skyrom one rename it fall? I think that's how it works. Yeah, had a gun emoji. Let's pay somebody on fiber to go play through this and we're back let's talk about some news. Hey, welcome back. Hi, thanks for having me. Who else talk about a lot? I knew we've been there. Yeah, YouTube, we'll take it away. Just I stoified all times that say it away. I can't believe you just like that. You love the fucker? That was a really passionate Uh you leave that back tomorrow is the boob slider of this podcast, and we all know it's. Yeah, that's a fair appraisal. I know everything. I am a beloved mechanic. Uh do you tell me, Bret? Uh? Well, I can tell you what happened. I'm not sure what ground you guys covered last week covered? What kind of nothing happened? Yeah? Yeah, like it's a yes, a whole lot of nothing. It's like what Techmo reaffirmed that they were not bringing instead or Alive Extreme three. Fortune is that the Vita version that's just called four Chickens are just called da Extreme three. There's also there's but there's there's two versions with different names. I think it's what I hope. So he owns an island. Neither one is coming here, but I understand Tina is not though, So yeah, they they Well you want to fucking find somebody get angry about is that they took votes for which people were going to appear in this game and all the wrong people won. Of course, never asked the people what they want I know, uh yeah, well whatever. Like back when this game was talked about, I think it was around TGS when the game first got announced, like Techmo made it or coe Techmo didn't want to get technical. I made it pretty clear that they were not looking to bring the game to this territory and that was kind of it. Yes, did they at the time say what was up with that wasn't necessary? I think it was just like, you know, the the market is not right for for this kind of game, which I last one sold like two hundred thousand copies. Yeah, the last game and was on was not a success on any level. Okay, it's a bad fucking game. Are we are we fighting here or are we playing this? This is what used to be the volleyball it was. The first one was Extreme Beach Volleyball Extreme two. It was it was more like it's aid you can hop across these pads in a pool. Mini games still has volleyball, right, but it was not the folks in a Mini Games yeah, because I reviewed a paradise that are like Paradise, which was YESPM, which was the of Extreme two Ka, which is all like mini games, every buying like Sentane lotion for your girls. Yeah, it's just like a game of skill, Yes, a game of skill. You're collecting swimsuits and whatever, and you know, I'm dressing up your anime boob ladies in different swimsuits and you know, it is what it is, right, And it was a fucking bad game. So when they came out and said like, hey, this game is not coming over, it's like, yeah, of course, not like it's it's you know, it's like creepy anime thing. And then also on top of that, it's a sequel to a fucking terrible game. Like that's got Japanese market written all over. Like I love terrible games. I have some friends who swear by that first one, the first There are people who are like the first one. I think they're fans, but you know, it's just best volleyball. Yeah, and that's that's the thing. Whatever that that's that's a sad statement. You're right, you're right, you're right. Both of those things can be true. Super Spike v Ball was came out before this, So you're tech true right, very yeah, so they they when they announced this game, it came with the news that it was not coming out here. And then I don't I'm not even sure what happened that. Then everyone started getting all agitated about this, like all over again. Well, so a community manager, I guess, someone who worked at Techboki got on Facebook and sort of I guess, reaffirmed what they had already kind of. I mean, this is literally a response to a comment on a post like this. This is a a fan group on right Official Right. It was a comment on a post on Facebook is where this was written. I'll just read the two comments individually first, and you know, apologize for the broken english here. It's a little hard to into it some of the meaning here, but you can kind of get the gist. We did not bring DA x three to the West and won't have any plan change in the future. Thank you for asking. And then when the person followed up asking, well, can you explain why do you know many issues happening in video game industry with regard to how to treat female in video game industry. We do not want to talk those things here, but certainly we have gone through in last year or two to come to our decision, thank you. Okay, So that is start to finish the entirety of the comment from Koe Techmo that kicked off this stupid tempest in the teapot. And since then there's been another comment from Koe Techmo that said, we don't we're not releasing something. That's like, we're not releasing it, but we do not back that. That believe I believe that came out of koa techno Europe. Okay uh. And they pulled those facebooks. Yes, also those those Facebook comments are long gone at this point this was archived. Well, but you know that immediately kicked off, you know, a torrent of of yes, a lot of a lot of fury about supposed censorship and like whatever ulterior motives there may have been on this or the Poussi people saying or ascribing power to a group that is trying to then take something away from them. Right, So whether that I don't think that's a reality, but I think people are looking at a group and giving them a lot of more power than they probably have to decide these business decisions is my personal feeling on I mean, yeah, and these seem like business decisions based on what it seems like if those games were million sellers, none of this would even be a thing because it would just be released, so no amount of public outcry would supersede the fact that these games sold. If they sold, but they don't, they would just put them out and not say anything. On top of that, there's no smoking gun, like there was no outrage around this game, Like there was no campaign to have botts because it wasn't coming. It's like so it's it's just you know, like guess like da has been like this forever, like this is a new thing. This is they've been like this all along, and you know, you just just like it is what it is, like people that like that by it and whatever. Also there, I mean, there are skisier games happily being released in this territory and nobody's bad an eyelash, sure, like like to characterize this as anything but a raw ass business decision seems completely backwards to me. Yeah, but it's it's a thing to get angry about. Yes, I think for some people that are looking to need not need a reason, but are looking to build out a narrative build out a narrative and find something to be outraged about. This is some red meat. This this is a thing that you can build that narrative out from. And I think some other people are I really think unfortunately writing this for their own business game. Yeah, that's been the like. So yeah, the thing I would say to this is like, these consoles are region free, Like the audience for this sort of thing can get this game regardless, and they'll get it in the original Japanese if they want, which you know, there's probably some sort of premium to put on that. Well. I think it's also also probably translated or at least stubbed into English from the Asian if. If if an Asian version exists, usually those end up in English too, which really just speaks to the notion that like, no one's taking us away from you. No one is saying that this is a thing you can't have. Yeah, that's the part I don't like. One of the things that I saw again and again was this notion that katech Mo was was infantalizing the consumers. They were saying, oh, the US consumers, they're they're you know, it too immature for this, or they're they need we need to protect them from this this terrible thing, which which no, no, but also that's not a new notion when it comes to Japan, like looking at the our domestic market, you know, you look at like the Final Fantasy games that got dumbed down to be easier here, like that's you know, that's a thing that's happened over and over again, you know, in different ways, and it's happened that the reverses happened as well. You know, games get changed when they go from one territory to the other. A lot of things do yeah, like eyebrows, Yeah yeah, look at yes, look at Ratchett and Clank in Japan. We could handle it. It's a curty face, you know. Yeah, no, we couldn't. We could not handle Ratchett's face. And you know there they could not handle the American face, is how I look at it, because it was too extreame. I can't handle either too much. Is like a faceless curby Ratchet, and I just start screaming. Like the idea that like a company that is out to make money off of their product, you know, would try to make changes to make a thing appeal to a market better or you know, in cases where like, hey, if if they're looking at the market and the things we would have to do to this game to make an appeal in this market, might just remove this game from existence, and that's maybe that's part of the decision they reached. We don't know, they're just like, oh, you know, we're just not going to set out there because whatever. And oh, by the way, isn't this a great way to drum up a lot of interest in our game? Yet? Would it would not have been there otherwise? But then also like, you know, this did not come this is a source from I don't I don't mean to undermine this person's position, but it sounds like maybe not a developer saying this. There's no telling who at the company even actually posted it. And the fact that this stuff has been deleted maybe points to the fact that this person was not authorized to make these comments. I don't know. And then the kind of surrounding drumbeating just has gotten a little crazy. And again some people's profiteering or trying to run a profit because it's like, yeah, hey, check it out, could get it from us. Fuck everybody that tells you you can't have your video game. We've got it. Like that's the craziest part about it at all. But also like they have a clear business interest in getting people to import the game from them, So they're gonna try to raise a big stink and and play that game. Run that risk because if that Yeah, so the people who are selling an imported version would not make money if that game we're released here because or make much money. They're they're psyched. They're like, fuck, yeah, come buy it from us. We'll sell it. Of course you will, you sell everything. Uh, but they don't have a disinterested position here, right exactly. They're not that this is altruistic like, hey, guys, we're gonna help it so you can have the video game you want, Like, no, it'll come get it from us. We're gonna brake it in Hey, say order more of those more of those were guess what that guy we paid to post those comments on Facebook? All. So yeah, that whole thing cut that censor that it seems rough. It's rough, it is rough. It's it's just it's it's dumb. The whole thing. That's incredibly the idea that like that anyone is like taking any kind of positions around a fucking day game in this day and age, like those things have been dumb forever. That's not the hill I want to die on. Yeah, by any means, you know, I mean, if you've if you've been nursing a chronic persecution complex for a very long time, I'm sure at some point everything starts to look This provides a very convenient scapegoat for like why the thing that you have beensidiously believed all these years is actually true. But there's the thromboning. There's that thromboning street overlord, that's there's bomb throwing from both sides on this one. So like, you know, I don't know what the other side of this even is. If you're if you're running, you don't know what the conflict. That's the thing. Like I said, there was no outrage over this particular game, Like no, but if you're nothing, there's nothing but the fact that this wouldn't sell standing in the way of this coming out. But if you're going out is telling anybody who wants this game, calling anybod who wants this game to be like a sicko pervert. But no one nobody did that. Of course, there are definitely though there are definitely but like listen, I run in those circles and most of us are like, I wish you'd have fun with your titty game. Like that's all rights of titty games. Enjoyed them, Yeah, you are allowed to enjoy them. Look like what man, fucking Look? You can get titties in a lot of places for the day and age. They are everywhere you stumble into them. Left him right, But they want interactive titties. Go on, sta aim higher, aims fucking higher. It's not yes, okay, okay, look, censor all of this. Well just slapping the way of right into the seas. This just ask for more from your fucking games. Like even if if you want that type of content in a game, great, but shouldn't it be a better fucking game then? Like, think about fucking Da Extreme two. You you played fucking da Extreme Paradise gets fucking terrible it and even the people who love the first one don't like that game. I mean to call it a mini game collection even seems generous, like it's it's seriously just the hopping across the really bad thing. And yeah, and it's it's like version of like polygonal cheesecake fucking sucks you could get so much more. There's so much more out there. Just dig a little deeper called Roses. It's called Roses or whatever. Just like say what you will about Rumbo Roses. That was at least a competent wrestling game. It was a video game. Yeah, I mean, just find competent wrestling. Yeah, you can play it and it works. I guess Rumbo Roses probably didn't crash on me at any point while I was playing it. I'll give it. That really confuse it you're talking about. It was Rule of Rose was very different games. There's no wrestling, and that that's every one you played because you played the censored I played the original artistic vision. I just I just don't like the rhetoric. Like I just don't like the Internet is full of pornography, and I think that there is probably a really great intersection of pornography and video game out there, but we have not found it yet. And I think that too many people are trying to like cash in and you know, they're they're using to lation as you know, in its most base form of just like, well, we're going to figure out what, Like the people are being exploited because they're being tricked into buying garbage because they added tits to it. Ask for more, more, more, more, Yes, yes, no, higher quality, higher quality across the board, FMV pornography versions of Kicks, Yes, we need to bring this back. Gals panic for a new generation neuro dancer on the three video. Yes, there we go, phantasmagoria too, the sexiest of video games. Yes, plumbers don't atize two thousands. I just everyone in this situation could do better. Like, I feel like, if you want to make video game pornography, go all the way, stop sucking around. The time is now. The time is now. Give it to people raw because the rest of the Internet is full of it. And be safe but not too safe. Yes, yes, be safe, not too second feeling that stuff is out there, like yeah, you can absolutely get all that stuff. And and so the idea that this is even somehow the most extreme form of this is like laughable. I'm with you, it serves no purpose. Ask for a better volleyball game, Yes, that's what I'm gonna do. And why isn't Christy in the game? Seriously? No ship. Well, if you if you ran in a poll that had like what are your favorite characters? You'd like to see in the game and they all vote and just like awesome, those are gonna be paid DLC. Here are the other totally, it's like the ones you want the most started. Yeah, that's man, you know, and whatever. They've got a long history of like you know, find like look at the DA five like costume DLC. Sometimes they're like they launched that game with two one hundred dollars packages of DLC and it's still increasing and it's still yeah, they keep adding more, Like they've added so many costumes to that game because people like to play dress up with their funny pulling in a little dolls and they like to get in their fights and stuff like that. It's a shame because I think that's a pretty decent fighting game. It may be the last place we're going to see the virtual fighter characters appear. God fucking damn it. Uh. And yet it's like, you know, it's they're focusing on all this other bullshit when they should be focusing on making their fighting game an even better fighting game. That's the part where I get pissed they are alive is depressing on multiple levels. I agree just about every level. Zach Island. That's the thing I can believe that you want to be I want to be No, No, I want to be on Fame double Douglas's boat. I want to have a DA simulator where I decide to throw a fighting tournament. Me, I'm Fame Douglas. Who would you advise your fighting tournament? Beautiful ladies and Dennis Rodman. I think this is what makes me the most interested. Austin and I talked about this a while ago. The most interested about Marine making Final Fantasy seven and seeing what they keep in that game versus what they don't h And I just don't think there's a win situation in that game at all in remaking it. Yeah, I think you're right, or like, they could make a real cool game, but they were going to be lots of fans who are upset that barreds like text change, his dialogue is not just like Black Splitation one oh one anymore, right, And there there's plenty of stuff in there that will be also boring as fuck, right, Like you know, are they gonna put a snowboarding sequence in that game? Right? Like are they even gonna try? Like it'd be really interesting? Yeah, Like that game is very much a product of its time of its place of its platform, like it being kind of the first of its kind, I would argue that a lot of the memories are in that game are also a product of their time. Yeah sure, yeah. And also like it was kind of localized, not not well so, like, oh yeah, that translation was terrible, terrible, But is that part of the charm? I don't know. I've said all along. What I hope for that game is that they don't touch a fucking thing. There's no way it is literally is the lavishly produced, just unbelievable visuals, but with that translation, but also voice acted, also voice acted every single gameplay system from the original game untouched, voicing all the typos, and Barett still ends every sentence with mofo. Yeah, every single bit of it, oh man, just like people always did back then. Now yeah, mofoe oh man then now forever. So real video games are the worst. They are. They're all bad. How do we get out of video game? Burn it down? How do we end this? Let's ask Vendi. Okay, they seem to be well on their way. Vivendi is just gonna buy it all up, whether they want to turn it all off, but I'll burn it Vivendi is increasing its investments in you Be Soft. Yeah, increasing, Yes they are. They already owned some Yes, they owned us six percent previously. Uh, and they now own over ten percent of you Be Soft. And it said that they may actually be seeking a seat on the board of directors. All they gotta do is like unlock like seven more towers and they get the fucking full. So its Vivendi is still Universal? Is it still a Vendi Universal? No? I think it used to be Vendi Universal. They they got out of that, but Universal broke off Universal part of NBCY. But I wasn't sure still had like some kind of attachment to that. But Vindi is a gigantic conglomerate. I've gathered Comcast. No, they're a French company, yes, exactly. Yes, last I haven't. I haven't relid it since they like divested themselves with the video game business, I haven't really kept up with what they do and like how big they are and what they're in. Like back then, back when they were a video game publisher, I remember they were in like well they were business, you know, they were their Why Activision is putting out a King's Quest games because Vivendi was Sierra and so Vivendi was technically half life on some weird level. They had their fingers in a lot of different weirds. Yeah, yeah, vuy. They were a proper video game publisher. They put on events, they were at E three. You know. It's just like they did their thing and and they stopped, and they stopped. They sold it, you know, because it all end up with Activision, right they wet. No, No, that's Bethesda and A two m. Although did that thought before yet Emory named themselves. Yes they did, good, Yes they did. I mean that stood for something quality, quality, They stood for something else though, go on, I forget they were also never mind Spiro fame Douglas wanted to start. I see you talking about the real deals. I mean, this is this is like ancient game spot history at this point. But yeah, I remember Vini had like a whole slate of titles that then went to different publishers after they got out. I've got a backpack that says, oh yeah, remembers. You're right, they Wet might have been them the Palm Springs, because remember, like Brutal Legend used to be a viny game, and then they went to a like they all like a bunch of their stuff they were doing spun to other companies. Anyway, it sounds like this investment is not entirely welcome. That you'd be soft, that's the interesting part to me, Like whatever, you know, otherwise it's like, oh you got four percent, congratulations, right, But yeah, it would be you'd be Soft is like, hey, no, don't we like we like, we're just kind of figuring our ship out over here and don't come in and fuck it all up. We reiterate our intentions who remain independent, an approach that, since the company's founding thirty years ago, enable to become the third largest video game developer in the Why is you be Soft always the one under the gun for this stuff, like remember the take over of EA back in like two thousand and six ishwhere around. I don't know, maybe it's just you know, and I think that the principle of the Guamos have the game Loft is involved in this. Yes, they also some game Lofty added, which is also a French company started by the brother of the head of the Soft. Yes, so maybe maybe it's just a grudge if he's just got it out from the geos, Like we're getting these run of these fuckers out of town. It might be a thing where it's like they're the third biggest, right like that. They're not. They're not, they're number three. They're not. They're not so big that they're out of reach, but they're big enough to be worth reaching. And they've got enough stock out there for Yeah, they've got enough stock out there that a company like Vinny can step in and go like, we're just gonna buy a lot of the stock that's out there, and then by default we'll end up owning a bunch of you guys. Oh shit, why did we do that? We should have bought that ship. So they I think that as as a you know, as a way to potentially start to counter this. I think they did increase their own personal ownership stakes in their company, respective company. I give myself more stock, this lipetite businessman. I could do that right own business now. I own one hundred ten percent. Take that fucker. I don't think it's uncanny. Yeah, it's like sounds like I'm watching It's like I'm watching the E three Press comperence right now. Like he's here in the room, he's coming out and they're talking about laser tag guns. Yeah, Hey, guys in Vinny. I didn't miss anything. They just got back. No, not really, okay, good yea, the French were here briefly. Oh weird sounds going. Uh, that's probably all we have to say about that, right, let's move on. I mean, yeah, well we'll see where it goes. Yeah, there's a if Vendi. Vivendi has a ton of properties you would probably love to exploit in video game form more effectively, which actually is the scary part because if they had their way with this major video game publisher, it could be like, hey, we decided you should probably stop making all the games you're making, even though people like them, and you should make games based on our properties instead. So like that's probably a worst case scenario, the sort of thing when you have like syndicate not selling very well. Damn it, man, we've been over this. Man, I don't care when you have syndicate not selling. But that's still an accurate statement. Syndicate did not sell well. It doesn't matter which syndicate you're talking about. Didn't sell well, makes that a little easier to argue for Indeed, when you ran with the gun, Miles Kilo held Miles Kilo a his name was Miles Kilo, which is a great name. I don't even played the game, but that name is so good. Had that one rightfule you could turn it and it was a sniper right assault, rightful the Thrombe, remember they called it? Yeah? Yeah, like Club Black Ops three has how many things in it that you're going, man, Syndicate did this better? Man? I wish I wish I was playing Syndicate right now. Damn man syndicate right. I like sack people's brains while you shoot other people. Yep, just hold down the button and that grenade's not going to blow up. I don't remember that part. Assassin's Creed has changed, man. Yeah, they finally went to the future. Cyberspace left for Dead, that's what that multiplayer was, not cyberspace cyberpunk, cyberpunk and like pay Day almost sure. Yeah, Chimney sweeps robbin the digital banks. Yeah, way more, way more Chimney swep. Oh you've got these briefcases and you held your fucking revolver with the other and you didn't you rip out the guy's brains? Yeah, chip rips all right, next time? Yeah, let's uh talking about yourself? Five real quick to take a break, for our sponsor, chip Rips. Not yet have you tried chip rips? I have. I'd replaced all my chip clips with chip rip with chip rips ripping them chieh rip a chip Yeah, empty eclip? Uh huh, empty eclip? Take these chip rips? Is this your new album? Yeah? Act Now get your dip and now I'm gonna mention every baseball team because that's what the jizy does. This rhyme giants, we gotta dodge ors. Another rhyme real challenge has been met. You gotta slip lip and whip your pip and uh, those are not trying to That's all I got it. This is it. This is the end of rap music tubs. We're witnessing the death you hear me, padre Yankee scrubs, diamond backs. Good met your solid five back in the news. Speaking of diamonds, remember the like the kind of the hidden cut scenes that leaked out of the PC version in a while back about nuclear disarmament. Yeah, anyone and then everybody figured they knew exactly what was going on with that mode. Yeah they did. Gonai finally came out and confirmed what you have to do to uh to access those cut scenes, and it was exactly what everybody thought it. Uh, I should not read and tried to speak at the same time. I'm sorry, it's exactly what everybody thought. You have to basically disarm every nuke on an entire platform in a given region to a video game platform. Okay, yes, so everybody on Xbox one in North America would have to put down their nuke. Yes, how would that happen? You just go steal a nuke from someone in disarm it. But what if I steal it from everyone that had about Xbox? You didn't know you could steal nukes. I thought you, oh you can. Oh that makes okay, this, that makes is a little more realistic. I thought everybody had to disarm their own No, I think you can. You know, if you have a nuke, it's deterrent, but you can still get jacked, right, I think you have to have a nuke to go steal nukes from have nukes. I thought the nuke was built in uh retribution. I thought that if somebody invaded you, you could nuke them. I thought that was the whole point of having the new air gates. If you if you are seen, then you can get open retributes if you if you do a like a perfectly clean infiltration, you can get the nuke and get out. Fucking I don't know, man, I don't know. I fucked with fob stuff like twice. It's broken both times. Right, So good luck to everyone out there looking at disarmed nukes. Well, it just shows a cut scene and then nobody can build nukes anymore, Like, what what's what's that? You could build more later? Oh well, I think since Drew has to beat the entirety of all the Metal Gear games, you're gonna have to do this, Drew, You're gonna you better get started. It's chapter three, especially because well, no, you're you're in luck actually because you're playing Xbox one version, right, Yeah, so kind of kind of the only really interesting aspect of the story as Economy put out stats for how many nukes actually still exist in the game, and they've dropped precipitously in November, because on the first of November there were five hundred and twenty five nukes on the Xbox One. Now they're ninety six. Oh wow, how hard that's a manageable number? Almost there is it hard to build? It's super hard. It takes like a ton of resources. And then it's what like twenty four hours of real game time, a real like real world time in the game. You have to be in the game, or does it run when the game's office. There were sometimes the run while the game is off. It's got yeah, it's got both. Can I pay to speed that along? I don't know? So they all get disarmed? Is everyone on that console get that cut scene when they booted that? Assume? So weird? It's the nuke. The nuke is holding the gun to its mouth, but then the camera pans away. Yeah, so you never know if the nuke is really disarmed. The big can you see the big wheelchair comes over and you're like, check it out. It's this cool nuclear missile and then it pulls the mask off and it was riding the whole time, and then it unlocks twenty more story missions. You guys, it's real. It's all been there all along. Trust me. You have to beat shn Long ten times in a row. Stand the chance? So is that it just get some kind yeah? Yeah? Also yeah, yeah. Cut scenes have been on YouTube since the day of the game came, like people data mind them out of the game ages ago, but now now that Konami has like detailed exactly how the stuff works, of course people are trying to actually do it for real. Yeah, even on the PS four, which I have to assume is by far the highest selling version, there's only three hundred and fifty two nukes as of November twenty five. Got to get those nukes to Pluto, man, yeah, I guess so, and then fire him into the fucking sun. Yeah, make more sun. Yeah, exactly, this is how we're gonna avoid that. I believe that the universe that was the plot of Sunshine. Yeah. Yeah, you never never came over the sun. Yeah, never became over. Of course, there are a bazilion nukes on Steam because you can just oh yeah the number in and give yourself a bunch of nukes or whatever. So that's not that's what way you say the PCs that wasteland basically, yes, it always was completely lost, lawless, and yes, mutually it's destruction. Yeah, that's always been the PC thing. Uh, it's about there's not more of this stuff going on with MGS five and less of the other shittier post release staff. Sure, I yeah, I would like I would like some more reasons to keep playing that game became like, with all the changes and all the other stuff, it has become impossible for me to care about anything related to that game from this point on. Did you play online at all? No? I like that week of release, I went back to I put the quick look and went back to it like two more times and like unlock the second character slot. And it's like, well, now I'm a lady. Okay, is it good? Is that out for a PC? The online? No? No? Still still it's next year, February. Some cheese. Some sense computers are hard I guess. So, h one one more story that they came out right before we started recording. Uh, the site DigiTimes, you guys familiar with, That's what I think. They're kind of report on, like kind of hardware industry trade type stuff. It's very it's very inside. Yeah, it's pretty inside baseball. But they report based on as far as I can tell, this is based on the like leaks out of parts suppliers that the n X, the next Nintendo console, will go into manufacturing in Q one of twenty sixteen calendar or fiscal. They don't say, yeah, so I saw some people by Q two. Yes, Well it was a ship. They say they will ship massive like mass shipping by Q two. This was this must be based on like the number of parts that Nintendo was ordering that Nintendo apparently expects to ship twenty million units in twenty sixteen, which sounds insane. That sounds like a lot, because that's a weight that's like double what the WEIU has sold to date. I yeah, that's how without knowing the nature of that platforms like so many different things about that. Yeah, who knows are up in the air. They maybe it's a seventy nine dollars thing you bolt onto your phone, right, it's a super Nintendo controller shell bluetooth to your iPhone. It comes with like a copy of Ice Climber. Okay, now I'm so all right. Uh, there's not a lot else to go on in this. Or it's a DS and console replacement, so that any right who wants to upgrade from any of those has to get the right right, Yes, Like, that's definitely seems like a more likely scenario to me. Some of the speculation around these numbers definitely is that this would be some kind of handheld thing, something that would sell to the DS market and not the console market. Necessarily because otherwise, like how do you hit numbers like that in a year or like we've always thought it's a handheld thing that you'd like jack into a base station that makes the graphics better for your television. What if they two stage it. What if there's like this first release which is like the handheld thing right there, Like next year we're gonna release this base like an inverse thirty two s pop this thing in the base I mean, the three DS is older than the WU, Like, it's more do for things. I think you have to sell because developers have to take that thing into a No, at some point, it's a stupid thing, I'm saying. So at some point you just I mean, like I think that's like from a hardware standpoint, I think that's probably a right thing that they could do. But you have to launch it all day one. Yeah, you have to launch it all when people are walking in the store. Don't give them a year to realize they don't want to play this thing as much as you will. Be Okay, now now I get it. That's a n TENDO like solution new NX side. Yeah, that news Elda, which will not come out on the EU. And then yeah, well, and then it will make thee Ago he'll be left handed. Yeah. Oh okay, I mean they just can't. They didn't. They just like reaffirm their commitment to ship that on the WU. Yes, in the last direct that'll happen. Put money on it. Uh, but yeah, we don't know if that's fiscal or calendar. Yeah, that's that's the thing, because I think so. Yeah. Also that yeah, well it says it says is according to kind of the supply chain companies, the parts suppliers, fox Con is gonna make it if anybody cares. Yeah, Fox Color big Yeah, fox Con building ship Yeah, put down the nukes Fox What did they know, like chips or actual parts, No, nothing, nothing like that. But but they are definitely implying this thing would be out next year, So we shall see. Q two seems a bit much, but I could believe twenty sixteen. But like, but fiscal Q two would be calendar Q three, Yes, I believe that's right, because yeah, I think I read it in those fiscal years starts in April, announced three, it's out in a few months. Yeah, I think they would announce a D three. Well, they said they start up, said they will they will have stuff to talk about a d three. Maybe they do a direct a couple of months ahead of it, so it's like we're doing this new thing and the big reveal three. Yeah, like the last I think the last time they said anything official about that thing, they said, we will have more to say next steps sixteen, next year about it, like that lad last Nintendo direct they had, Like there was just straight up of things say, we will not be talking about the NX or our mobile stuff at this thing. I remember that, and did their mobile stuff ever come to fruition. They had a press conference in Japan where they talked about the first piece of software they'll be doing, and it seems like a Tamadachi life kind of like but it's about some means talking to each other, but it's internal Nintendo developing it. I thought they had a partnership DNA. They have partners at DNA, and then DNA is building like the new Nintendo Network stuff and kind of helping them with with some of the infrastructure things around. I want to say, there's some language that they've said. It's like we like, no matter what DNA works on, everything is still designed by Nintendo, like trying to a shirt, reassure everyone that, like, don't worry, we're not just outsourcing. We're not saying like, yeah, make a new duck hunt and you tap on the screen to shoot the ducks. Yeah, okay, okay, I do that. I mean, yeah, it's not that probably worked. That wouldn't be the end of the world. Bring back Hogan's Alley, man, No, no, no, bring back Hogan's Alley. I'm serious, it's just game b shoot them cans. Nintendo removed all mention of Hogan's Alley from its websites after what Hogan said. Yeah, we wish it best on its future endeavors. Indeed, all right, normally this is the point of the show where we would do the emails. But emails now, I love emails. We have kind of a weird email situation this week, and that I couldn't get into the email account this morning. Weird emails. So I decided to finally explore an idea that we've been tossing around from this Uh huh, I'll take my pants off a different idea that's not that one, not that one. I wouldn't still take my pants off. We should still experience that. Yeah, I went, I went back into the archive, which is to say, the old email address that we had before the new the email address. Uh and pulled some emails from exactly one year ago. Wow. Yeah, it turns out through a lot of unready that account from a year ago. I don't know why, but I grabbed a few. It's time for a little bomb cast rewind we can let's just say, yeah, he's throwing uh so slashback. I don't even know what a year ago was. Dude, how far are you gone? Back? All the way way back? Go on? Go on, go on, just go on. Okay, all right, here you go. Here's some crusty year old emails. First one comes in from Ryan. Wipe that ship off, man, I know they smell all musty. Here's a short email from Ryan. Pretty sure the dark blow means pubic hair. I picture Destiny is shaved. Though things were awesome a year ago. I know, right, it's really getting the party started here, really taking me back to a time when I worried about what the pubic situation with Destiny was it. It just goes to show how much content that game was lacking. Back then, people were desperate had to make their own. Yeah, they really desicaly know the situation finally put that part into the game. So much overgrowth? Uh taking you know what I'm saying that the darkness and now destiny. Now you know for a fact that the shader matches the drapes. Oh is that you? Or is that the email? The darkness zone? I don't know. The real darkness is pubic over growth people. Uh? Andy from Waukesha, Wisconsin, Waaa, I think that sounds better key shot. Yeah, I don't know Washington. That sounds like what people who lived there would call it, as opposed to people who've never heard of it before and wouldness pronounced it savagely. I guess I should start by saying that I love shin MoU, although objectively it's not a particularly great game. Heads up, next year it's gonna be amazing. Oh I'm not next year, it'll seem amazing for like a few weeks. Andy. Andy seems pretty level headed here, Okay, I guess I should start by saying that I love Shinmu although objectively it's not a particularly but it's twenty more teen level headed. Who knows we would write how Andy is now? Yeah? Of course I'm part of a shin Move Facebook group and these people okay, oh not okay, all right he said these people go on and these people are out of their minds. Okay, yeah, accurate. It seems that anytime Jeff mentions anything about Shinmu, whether it be a random tweet or that rant on that one PAX panel where he refers to Shinmu as a forklift simulator for assholes, it's true that everyone in and they grew completely loses their ship. And I mean it boils down to awful jokes and accusations that Jeff is a casual who likes call of duty. Anyway, I was just wondering if Jeff was aware of his status as the shin MoU community's personal hitler. I figured if anyone could find humor in this that was a secret, it would be a secret secret has been festering in that inbox for the last year, fucking whatever. I think. I think Jeff is well aware of his role. So I have to imagine that that community is like remember Shim move, Remember Shim Remember shim remember shimber Shim Move. No, they're not Jeff. They've been aggressively like yeah, well yeah, probably let's describe this faith, but you're probably right. It's like, here's a picture of shen Move remember that, Remember that that cat? Huh oh yeah, I love that Sailors? You know what I'm saying. I find them? Yeah, where we find the sailors? And then like that was funny? Anybody seeing sailors? Hey' is anybody else talking about she MoU OUs oude of this community? And then do you say something and they're like, yeah, something to fucking talk about. You don't expect It's actually more like, hey, I started another angry petition. We're gonna write to all the websites that cover video games and tell them they to post about our petition. How come none of those fuckers posted about our petition? Why do they hate shen Mouse so much? They probably don't like video games. Here's an example. Here's a picture of a cat from shen MoU. You guys want to play some space Harrier within the confines of shen MoU. So here's here's a question I have that's somewhat related. Okay, why do people still think that games capsule toys actually post about petitions? Because, as far as I'm aware, no game sites ever. It's because you don't stand for the people, Alex. You would think that over time people would start to learn that maybe this is just not a thing that any site is ever going to post about because none of them stand for the people. They're all part of the problem. Alex Navarro. Alex Underscore Navarro on Twitter. Would I write to you and tell you look at this picture of this cat. I founded it out, I didn't take year of it. Is the shedmu community just like so used to being bagged on at this point that they've just become completely hypersensitive to any sort of slight toward them. Like they are. They are the people that evolved out of like the Sega Rage into a much more specific and refined crystal form. What's the Venn diagram look like with them in the Mega Man Legends group, it's it's there's probably some of the same people. Yeah, it's not a different thing. But yeah, yeah, I mean you know you could Yeah, I think you could widen this out to say, like there are still people out there that, like when fall Out four came out, they went and posted on the old Fallout form like not buying this one either, no mutants allowed, crowd. Yes, those people probably still exist in some form and they're like, look at how broken this game is. Fuck those guys. But I think there's email proves that that'll show them that that community has has members that are obviously level headed lurking around in the shin move and who knows how many of some degree of self awareness there. Yeah, yeah, because this person said that they are a member of that community. Right. Weird how none of them are the ones that have been to designated chosen spokespeople for that community? No, we whatever, it's you know, what I've learned is you get they got angry over a lot of the Yeah, exactly, Like it's just you know, it's it's one more sliver of fucking weird, dumb rage on the internet. But hey, there's a lot of it to go around. What I will say is, let's go check the FEN the fed move. Holy cow, I can't talk today. What's in your fucking water? Uhl shit? Mostly first I'm coming back, I have a conversation. Uh, let's check that Facebook community after this goes up, because it'll be awesome whatever. They're getting their games, so I imagine on some level they're probably like, did we not talk about that? What? Oh? Did they get canceled. Yeah, oh oh, well what he's dead? Uh no, whatever, he's laughing at you. The game's coming out, like you know, yeah, yeah, they got what they wanted. I think that's a terrible idea, but whatever, I think that's a fantastic idea. When is that game coming out some day? Is it even a game yet? I don't know. Didn't they got the money. I think it's a it's a fantastic idea, and the game will come out and they'll play it, and then maybe we'll stop hearing about shin there. No, not even close. I think it'll be just be like they well it was a twelve part series, just only covers these parts, I thought. But like, if only we had folded it more like that, that'll be the thing you never hear is only if we had funded it more, it would have been a better game. Rights'll be like we were hornswaking. But it's another one of those games that's just like the Sin MoU had so many quirks in it that weren't good that I think make it endearing. Looking back on that, people are like really attached you, like, what is that game in twenty sixteen seventeen to make a good game, you'd have to lose so much of that stuff. And like Shenmu was pioneering in its own weird way, like it just it chose every wrong path you could and you know, hey, the blueprint wasn't written yet, so they had to figure it out in some level. But like in terms of like building an open world experience, like if you look at what has become kind of the codified open world template, boy, Shenmu went left where every other game that went on to become huge successes went right. And you know, hey, they pioneered it in their own weird way, and good on them, but also, fuck that game. It's just not fun. It's just not fun. Curious to see what a new version of that looks like. Yeah, and also one produced on like a significantly smaller budget and that sort of stuff like that's that's where it'll get hard to compare. That's right, because they threw like infinite money at that first one, right, Yeah, something like that like that was you know, that was Sega balding U and that was like their land bark like groundbreaking to change the media full reactive eyes entertainment, Brad. Yeah, that up anything with like bringing up MegaMan Legends. Dan is like if that did get a sequel today, like, would that just looks like a Ubisoft open world game? Would there be Towers and MegaMan Legends three? Because I wouldn't want to play that game, Like, is that is the reality of today's market? Actually I kind of want to play that game, you know, like Mega Man climbing towers at the top, you get like there's you don't have to climb what you the upgrade for Rush? You just jump on rush. You have to fight Tower Man before you can unlock the towers, which you then can go climb up. Or would they just do the Mega Man nine and ten thing where it's okay, I remember those old games that were really good. We made another one of those and like Jenky and Weird in the way that those were also Jenky and Weird. But I think that's that's a pathway to sell to a like a specific subset of an audience, like you know, which you know, there's not a lot of people you can do that, which is what why Kickstarter exists, you know, like that's the sort of thing like you know, people deride Capcom for how they've treated Mega Man, and you know, they could have treated Mega Man better than they have. But at the same time, like they're not idiots, they are probably running numbers on a lot of things and going like, yeah, this isn't we don't actually think this is the safe that that we need right now. And then they make some other bet that probably goes warbly sideways too, because that's that's just the capcom story. And then fans get to say like, well, if you've made their bet that we wanted you to make, it would have worked out fine, right when the reality that they know it that's a coin toss. At some point, I get liking shit that no one else likes. I like a lot of shit that no one else likes, like a lot of it. I want to do virtual on game. That would be pretty dope. It's not gonna happen, like and and I try nothing get mad at anyone over that there's still just enough of an arcade scene overseas that like, no, don't, don't please, I don't need this could happen. That's just mean don't. It'll be like, go will be on stage and three next year with whoever the virtual on guy is, and they'll be like it, we're doing this one too. Can you start it now? You build the lists. We're here to deliver, all right, root Beer? Tapper two? Where's that at? Build that list? No? Don't, yeah, don't do not make a sequel to Tapper, don't, Ryan and Elkhart. Indiana should not buy The Postman. Jeff has mentioned it in passing before and I need to know is it worth seven dollars and eighty eight cents? Wait the movie? Yes? Oh yeah? Are there better or worse sci fi movies I should watch instead? I haven't seen most em That's not a question are there better or I'm not sure? I understand that? Man, I don't write them. That is. I'm starting to think that maybe you write the amount? Actually might be the best question I have ever heard asked by anyway. There's a case to be made for watching things that are profoundly bad. No, but I'm just saying, like, could you answer that? No? I don't even know. Ken went on Letterman and said if anyone saw the movie didn't like it, he would personally give them their money back. Did he do that? I think that's true today? Was that for a water World? At the post and see what happens? I think I like The Postman more than water World. Yeah, okay, Well I've got news. I've got great news. Yeah, Geo is going to redo the post We've built the list. The Postman is coming to DVD and Blue ray. Wait, oh it hasn't already. If you want a DVD copy of the put what do he say? It was seven eighty eight, but don't don't forget. This is late twenty fourteen prices, okay, late twenty fifty prices seven forty four A commentary track from Tom Petty. Uh well, I mean we can find out and look, if you want to go whole hog fucking if you want to reach baller status, the Blu Ray is nine dollars and you're losing money by not buying that. That's the right death cost, you know. Let me, let me qualify this. Ryan says, I should tell you that I watched Big Trouble in a Little China and The Running Man recently, and I thought they were both pretty terrible. What those are two of the best movies ever. Also, I think there are a lot of movies that if you didn't see them in that timeframe, they're not going to hit you at all. And I didn't see the running Man until like maybe late high school college or so. No, I think that's still the right age. Yeah, I think that's your age. Okay, what was the other bringing Man? What Big Little China? Whatever? I mean? Look, that is so good. I love Big Trouble and Little China. I will be the first to admit there are parts of that movie. Don't hold up Superwar? What part of that movie? I did not see it until probably well well after it came out, and it's just no interest. All right, here's a part of the movie, well part like Orangutang monsters thing that, Yes, what happens with what's his story? No one knows? Okay, that's part of why that movie is great. It's this giant bigfoot thing that lives in the sewers. Same thing with that eyeball thing that floats around and kind of spies on things. But table encompasses a lot of different things, and that big foot trouble. Yeah, there's all sorts of trouble. Trouble. What was he trying to deliver? What was in his truck? I think? Wait? Who oh? Jack sells walls in the Perktop Express. Yeah, I know, he's just trucker man. He's just doing his job. The details I need to know. He was just doing his job and then he got into some Big Trouble and where in Chinatown, San Francisco. That's the worst title. Uh. They were making that right. They were saying The Rock is going to replace Kurt Russell, which I like The Rock and I like Big Trouble, Little China Lot, but I don't. But he's kind of a like, he's not good at shit in that movie. That's like the stuff. That's what's great is that, Yeah, Wang does all the cool shit. Yeah, and then Jack Burns is an idiot. He' shooting the ceiling and rocks are falling on his head. Russell is the everyman in that situation, but he's like The Rock. The Rock is very clearly not an everyman. But at the same time, I feel like The Rock is just comedic enough to play that. He won't look the part the way that Kurt Russell did, but I think he's funny and he can play off that goofy. Now what does he got Sean William Scott to do it? Okay? Do you just want to remake The Rundown? Because I'm okay with that, yeah, Undown, But with the cast of The Rundown. Yeah, all right, what's Eddie Ray as Junior doing right now here? Doing some fucking cavawera off a fucking swing. Actually, I feel like was there something something bad happened to him? I don't know, a surpentin just happened. So Drew, who's the who's the antagonist, the guy who let loose the Dogs of War? And Postman oh man, he's like a character actor. I can't remember his name. He used to be a banker or something. Yeah, in the fiction, which is so weird. I do like that part of it. Everything that's that movie is like deep in the post apocalypse, like no one's like. But also there are people who happened like thirty years ago. I know. I'm Petty is still alive. I know. Yeah. They walked up to him and go like, are you famous? He says, yes, I was once. Tom Petty has just always looked like I feel like I need to spend The seven eighty eight movie has a go fund Me page going for a kidney transplant. That's that's that's what he is up to. That are the Heartbreakers, okay, and the Lord of the Postman. I think this probably his Rubbing Band of Okay, yeah, good Brad, you have never seen it. I have not. I haven't seen a lot of stuff though. I think an update the Big Trouble and a Little China music video, Oh my god, that is incredible. If you guys haven't seen it. It's John Carpenter's band playing the theme song Bigtrol Little China Please, theme song for it just plays during the credits, but the music video is in carpet lyrics. Yo. Yeah, yeah, yeah, what's the name of the name of the band? Is even great? The Coop Deville's Yeah, yeah, it's just John Carpenter hamming it up in the whole video. Oh, phone is out? This is David Wise, no Kurko and wait, of course it's John compt okay, oh yeah wait yeah and Trouble. Yeah that movie is pretty great. Yeah they drink that potion they put up their hands or whatever. Yeah, I don't know. Better work, feeling good, feeling great, better or worse than the drag Net Dragment rap is better. Yeah. City of Crime is a classic. There's there's footage of Tom Hanks very recently being on The Graham Norton Show and actually doing his verse from that time, I remembered it off the top of his head. I feel like there have been a lot of interviews with Hanks where he is tried to disown Dragon. He still says it's the stupidest thing ever, but he remembers the verse right off the top of his head. Never him. Then I'm glad it's burned into his big brain because it's one of the best things he's ever done. What about the tone? Look rap about ace Ventura. That's pretty good. Tone look was in it was in ford Fair Lane, but he didn't. I don't think he rapped in it. That's my story. It's a great story. Speak of cute. It's name of my biography. Just tell him that's my story, all right? How about another email about movies last year from Daniel From last year, Daniel says, I have a question for the Furious cast. Uh no spoilers for the latest movie. I don't even know what the latest movie was. In Fast and Furious six, we finally caught up to the Tokyo Drift timeline and Han was murdered. But as Han really did no, he was upside down in the I mean no in my heart. No, okay, my heart is impossible. All right, here him out. He was upside down in a car that exploded. But let's face it, crazier things have happened in this film series. So my question to you Gersman and the Fast Crew five how long until Han reappears sporting a facial burn? And I patch I thought the whole thing was that Jason Stathan walked up and put a bullet in it and before the car exploded, like that was how they explained that away and said, no, he's definitely not coming back. He could be okay, he could be okay. I don't think Hans still alive, Geo Corsi. Next year we're building the lists, start bringing hanback. I think if they made a video game only side story the Fast and Furious Guy, Dan, if you will, about hans adventures in the world, get the until Dawn guy has to do it. So it's actually just that, like weird make these choices to see who lives God, oh my god, Oh you're gonna go right there. I'm so angry. It was right there. You guys need to go home. Yeah, thanks for stopping by. It's been fun. Next email comes in from another Ryan ask Drew if I can go to his Super Bowl party. I recently listened to the February twenty fourteen bomb cast, and that sounds like the best party ever. I'm a Bay Area native and not a weirdo or a murderer. I swear, Drew, I was a cook for a while, and I can bmo F and BMOB. I just hope it's better than the last year's game. Say bring my own meth bmo F F for food bmo F and BMOB. Bring your own meth is an unspoken, understood thing when you go to parties. You don't have to spell it out. Gotcha, Drew, He doesn't need to bring your own part Can can this guy go to your super Bowl party from from ten months ago? Sure? Absolutely? His meth supplied? Or should he bring his own? He got om Okay? I think last year we finished the game and then watched Twister. Sorry this year is the Postman? That's pretty good in that Postman like ninety thousand minutes long? Yeah, just like water World. And he also doesn't have a name. Does he play the same character? Is that? Where do you have a name? Was the mirror that was name? What sort of a name? He's the Postman? I guess that's a title I suppose Pushing Tin. Yeah, him and Billy Bob Thorton, same movie. No, that's John Qusack and Billy Thorton. Is Pushing ten? Are you thinking? No, Pushing Tin is a much worst movie than Tin Cup. Much worse was that we figured that out? I don't know that I like necessarily like go to bat for Tin Cup either, though Pushington is one of the only movies I ever walked out of. I'm not going to say Pushington's a good movie, but I just you know, better is a relative like think about make sure people aren't going like, well, I'm a street cup. No. Yeah, I'm not saying tin comes a good movie. I'm just saying it's better than Pushing ten. Ask for more? Yes, exactly. There are thousands of hours of barography out there you could watch instead of Tin Cup. Agreed? Okay. Connor has a simple would you rather? All right? Would you rather be forced to eat a taco bell for every meal for the next five years? Or never eat? There? Again? Well, I think fans answer is here, Uh voluntarily pretty much doing that? Yeah? Pretty much? You're four years in? Yeah? Why but why stop at five years? Uh? Every meal? How many meals eat. No fourth meal is in there too, unless you live in San Francisco and they close at ten o'clock. Well, that's that's everything in San Francisco. That's not that's not that's everything. Like late night food does not exist. The city that always sleeps, a city sleeps. They advertise fourth meal in their commercials, but then they close at ten o'clock. Here in San Francisco when they open, maybe you can just move your schedule forward a little bit, think enough for their breakfast. But the breaface shut the clothes early to clean all the human feces out of off the sidewalks in front of the store and inside, but to just basic sanitation and the kitchen. It's only Taco bell I. Couldn't get a CAFC. You can't ever eat in can Taco humbos. Yeah, Taco bell I don't think that counts. I think you have to only just the Taco bell Taco bell I don't have five years. Five years you would die, but but you wouldn't make it. But you get access to all their fun new items, right whenever they come out with a new like caserrito or a girls Stuffno battle help. So I mean you get the variety. Yeah, because the ingredients change an awful lot, but they're in fun shape it. You would not shape and volcano sauce. I don't always have that. You would not make it figured. Yeah, you can get basic nutrition with you chicken chicken. That's protein. You got carbs in your little wraps and your your taco shells right by the end. And you would just beat this this quivering, fucking hairless, gelatinous massive I've made it thirty one years and I'm still alive. But not even get every day, every day far meal d Like when I was a kid, I probably had taco Bell five to ten times. So, Dan, what would you what would be your meal? Start? Start me off a year? One? Oh, just the usual to go to. Yeah, I always eat breakfast breakfast, Okay, I get a chicken caseidia every single time. I got taco Bell. Occasionally a steakcasea, but always a case that's the one main stay all the time. Breakfast. You're done, chicken case ofdia. No, we don't just get one anyway. Okay, what are you doing? I get a chicken case adia. I would get a Mexa melt with none of the crazy sauce stuff, a cheesey roll up in a triple ayro nacho. All right, breakfast is done, Okay, lunch three hours later? What are you eating? I would probably mix it up with a steakcase India, and I would get a cheesy Cordia crunch finnatural uh baha blast for breakfast. I wake I have soda the second I wake up. Every day anyway, I would get a cheesy Cordia crunch now that I especially now that I know the sauce is something I can eat and it's not some crazy mayonnaise thing or sour cream. So I get cheese Cordia crunch. Always cheese roll up pretty much that every single time. And then could we The cheesy roll up is just cheese rolled up in a tortilla, right, that's correct? More or less that I never ordered one of those because it just seemed like a rip off. All right, God's delicious. Yeah, yea cheese. I've made them at home. I bought little tortillas and done. It's not the same. And you don't. Definitely, not a lot of people don't have fire sauce at the ready. I always do. Let's see lunch, we're Are you saving the chiro the churro, Yeah, for dessert or something. I've never gotten one of those. What I don't get anything to talk about that doesn't have like nine thousand pounds of cheese on it. Okay, I mean you get the chiro in the notcho sauce. No, don't, don't. I don't even really know what is a cinnamon. It's a giant cheese thing that they make to look like a cinnay. Well, I also super love cinnamon dessert, so I would probably love that. Yeah, but I want to save all the space in my stomach for just like pure cinnamon twists because they're kind of are all right, Yeah, I used they just came out with. It's I think it's a limited time holiday item. But it's an offshoot of Cheetos called Sweeto that are like Cheetos without the cheese dust on them, and instead it's like cinnamon dust and it tastes kind of like the cinnamon twists it is, but a little sweeter. So halfway through the bag I thought I was going to be sick, but other than that, they were Okay, you finished the bag. Him talking about that reminds me breakfast. I would have thrown on the Captain crunch delights because those are kind of breakfast. They're kind of a breakfast. He don't have anything. They're amazing, they're delicious dinner. Okay, I would go, chick, go back to that, and you gotta alternate a little bit and then oh man, this is a lot and one day. Yeah, I would definitely go with whatever novelty thing they have, whether it's a grilled stuff nacho or a cause of rito, that's not a novelty by the end of that first week, right, Like, that's just realize you have fifteen hundred days of that to gets fine. That's fine. Say specifically it had to be three meals a day. No, it just said every meal. Okay, I mean that's you know, like that's I was. You know, I was probably not too far off from that when I was in my one meal a day, occasionally eat a lunch, right, uh sort of situation where it's like I'm gonna like stop at a drive through on my way home. I could rotate drive throughs, which was nice, but like Taco bell is enough of a variety menu that like I could probably do that for five years. Yeah, I lived behind a Taco Bell just a half a block away, and I ate there every day. I love for a lot of time, I don't know how to make food. Like at some point it's like, well it's it's it's pizza Burger King McDonald's or Taco Bell. That's Mexican pizza Taco Bell. But like I imagined, like imagine so good, like year four, right, like Dan is sitting outside in a truck in Kansas during Thanksgiving dinner, unrolling the bag of taco Bell, weeping as he's like lifting a gordial, Like, hey, my entire family had Taco Bell on Thanksgiving last week. Then I'm done here. Two separate trips and my mom separately as my dad on Thanksgiving Day. Well, technically I was thinking we went up to the bar the night before, and after the bar, we all went to Taco Bell separately because we all want to talk about it. You're right in the right, I give up. You could do this. You could absolutely find managed one for a while when I was yeah, I got a lot of free still goes there. Yeah, we always took a bell. It's not like it's one of the things you're like, man, it was like I never like knowing people that worked to Taco Bell and they were doing stuff like I think I've said before, like you know, just going to like the bin of lettuce and put fame in it, fighting as much let as as possible and shooting it back. When I worked for McDonald's, it wasn't his friends were doing that. Never happens. That's a fake story. No, that's real. That's not real story. That's a real funny joke, joke. It didn't have him any They had to shut down a pizza place in my town for a while because someone masturbated there and they got caught by a customer. I think you can do that is by the food. It was in the back. It's all by the food. That's who hasn't done that face lettuce thing. I worked at the guy named Opher at McDonald's, and he would proudly announce when he had just masturbated in the bathroom, and then to freak everyone out, he go and rub his hands all over all the fries. Vinnie, I don't even care if you masturbated, don't rub your hands all over all the fright. It's bad then, but it's also worse if he just did win or stuff. I mean I understand. I understand. One would hope that he washed his hands. The sign says right there, employees must wash their hands. When Opher was a model employee, Yeah yeah, it was. It was over was the same. It's like Gopher. One of his eyes was completely olive colored, like didn't even having to me white. I don't know, I don't know what was going on. It was just an olive Opher was a character. I mean, it'll make you go blind. He can't chew the lettuce and much taco bell. Oh so I think I think you could do that, but I don't know that because I would rush. They just never have taco Bell again. That's what he's That's the alternative. To me, that's not that great of a cost, not even the same things. It's been a big e coal eye problem at Chipotle lately. Chippole is very very good. He's garbage, it's too upscale, but it's good. Chipotle is a little ritzy, but it's good. Damn it. This is why I stop following me on Twitter. Did you really? Yeah, that's an interesting idea Ritzy. Well yeah, it's like it's taco Bell. But but I I go there, I eat there when I am feeling like Richard Nixon with heads right now, Well, how about how about Del Taco I've only had it once on the way to Eat three when I was driving with Jeff and Danny, and it was it was very good. I mean, if you want shitty tacos, you can go to Jack on the Yeah. Yeah, I just don't give it to Jack in the box because people always say shitty and stuff when they're talking about any kind of fast food, and like, I just don't know. Yes, health wise, it's shitty. It's a sodium and it's fat, and it's it's awful for you. But I think they are Like I think I've said this many times. Any menu item, and Taco Bell tastes better than any menu item at any place in the mission. Fuck, I mean that I love I love burritos in the mission. I love that. Right, I'm take you to La Tacaria and if you don't love that more than your Taco Bell filth, I won't. But I've been I love him putting you in the fucking dirt. I bet, I bet I will love it not as much, but dance really right because in a labor fifty Yes, yeah, he's only right because he's being manipulated by science. Happily, who are like ed more sugar, ed more sugared more fat? And then feeding? Are you? Are you stuffed? No? Could you eat more? Yes? Yes, okay, we're close. Yeah, you've eaten seven tacos already? Are you full? I don't. It's weird. I don't feel full. I could eat more. I don't feel I don't feel anything happening. It's hard. I can't feel my face. What is happening? I was at a point, and you know, I could fucking flip this switch any day. Man, you want to fucking go, I could go spend sixteen dollars at a Taco Bell and eat it all. That's a lot. That's a lot of taco bell. But it's too much. But it's it's like engineered. It's directly engineered. Just zap into your brain and be like, you would eat more of this? Yeah, they have access to science and research that little mom and pop places don't have. Therefore, Taco Bell tastes better you do objectively, Yeah, but you do know that science can be used for evil gains, right, Like science can be terrible, it can also be delicious. Taco Bell also Google is often delicious, but like a taco bell. Will I think if you mash it, if you did a blind taste test with taco Bell and mash the food into it, would he do? That? Would do? Because the texture of taco bell, like you get a stale taco. You get meat that's not doesn't there is no mouth feel to the meat. I do not feel. Yeah, I do not enjoy start throwing terms like that. I do not enjoy the process of eating a taco Bell. But I will shove it in my face. I just want to get it over with as fast as you can. Yeah, Like, I'll enjoy the taste, but it's not like something that I take pleasure in eating. You're insane. You don't take pleasure in eating taco bell. It feels good, Dan, Okay, well that's pleasure. What say the thing that happened to me that is like almost scary? Uh? So I am not eating a lot of fast food lately. Uh And you know, but occasionally I am. You know, it's like I'll be on the road or something like that and I don't have access to proper food, and things happen and you end up at a burger king and so some food is. So I've ended up at like McDonald's and that's been fine, but I ended up at a Burger King and a weird thing happened. I don't like burger King anymore. Yeah, well you will lose. I I really do think if you drop that insane amount of sugar and stuff you're getting from all that stuff, it will taste different, like you're just not used to it. Like this taste like candy. Like I'm this bun tastes super sweet. It's not like there's something about like the burger King, but it just tasted dirty. Yeah, something I was biting into it and it goes there's a filth here that like is not okay. And maybe it's part of their their char broiled, they're they're grit, you know, the chemical. Yeah, like there's something about it specifically that just like it was, it all went bad and and I think here's where felt bad. I felt like it was like an end of an eram I've had. This is probably a good thing, but man, I think Dan, I think that the discrepancy or the challenge I would say, or the objection I have is that taco bell is not really food. Talk about talk about is an engineered food product, but geeze is not does not come from a cowco Bell is like two steps away from the bees, still soiling. It just tastes bad. It's like it's it's not it's not cheese, And I don't know if that's true. I've never understood that it's not food argument either, because it's a thing you put in your big face and then you're not hungry anymore. That's what it is. But it's like it fill your mouthful of stones and that would eventually settle in your stomach, and that could you could call the laugh. But you know what's awesome science, Science is pretty good. Science is fucking radical, but you know it's also terrible science. Yes, but I'll say this about time I want astronaut food, like we just eat pills instead, Like about I'll give you a barrel of soiling, to be honest, Like there's something about soiling I find weirdly appealing, except for the part where they would figure it out and it's fucking in like whatever in its current form, it sounds like a fucking taste is pretty gross, but whatever, like the idea of figuring this thing out and you're like, hey, whatever, just take food out of the equation. We've got what you need, man, just put this amount of this inside of you and you're good to go. I think I could. I think I could probably do that. Here is a venture capitalist dream. Oh yeah, like that parliament is like that's another part of it. But like the idea of like like if I didn't have to eat, I wouldn't Well, there's another part of that which I think you fault like not all the way in this category, but like a little bit. There are a segment of people who literally just don't like food, sure, just they are grossed out by food, like it's in general. In general, there is a small segment of people who are that and don't want to eat, Like they don't like the way food is, or they their stomach can't deal with it or whatever. So I went for them. Total is presumably a decent replacement for that, but also soil went is fucking gross. Yeah, look like as that process gets refined, if we can get to a point where like, you know, here's a pill or just a small amount of life, you know, flavored paste that like meets your needs and you won't even think about it. Like that actually sounds pretty fucking good. You know, if there are foods that I like eating but not so much that I would like totally miss it. You know, it's awesome about this conversation. I'm no longer Italiani. Me has died and it is no longer. It feels weird, but I think this is a direct happy to help. Yeah, it's shriveled up and just withered away. More cream and butter right, no more whatever it is you people put on your foot, well, not you people anymore. It's just turned into a melted into a pool of olive oil. And you're just Vince Carvel now. You're just a flavorless, gelatinous, massive human being that has no identity whatsoever. It's not back of the ventric capital. I never feel I would never feel satisfied. Yep, I feel full, but yeah, I rarely feel satisfied by food. It's never been a part of the mass for me. It's just been well, I'm not full anymore. And that tasted fine, So like Taco Bell totally fits the bill in that case. It's like, this is fun to eat, It tastes good. They put fucking fritos on these burritos. That's pretty awesome. Yeah, those are pretty awesome. I would say, Dan, if they had those, if that was part of the five year plan, if it was like five years and guaranteed they had the fucking burritos with the fritos on them. When they take away the fritos, just get the red crispy st It's not the same. It's not the same texture is good, it's not the same textures. I also think, Dan, if I had your metabolism, I would probably eat Taco bell every day. Okay, Also, Dan, you're not gonna have that metabolism forever. Oh no, That's why I work out all the time, because I want to eat just pure garbage all the time. This is a goddamn zero some equation. I have no idea what that means. I don't like it. I don't. I mean, you know, would you would rather spend time preparing food? That can be fun too? I like, like, like I would get home at fucking nine o'clock something like that, and it's like what am I Am? I gonna like blow an hour and a half preparing a meal for me? No? Yeah, like, go get some go, get two sides of bread, mayonnaise and cheese and you've got a nice sandwich. You're on the way home. I could swing through the drive through and it's taken care of. I actually make dinner on a semi regular basis now and make food in like half an hour. It's not that hard. I was. I was horrible. I could never. I never. Every time I tried to making food, it was just a nightmare every time. I like it. It's fun making food. Jeff, get a blender, you know, a huge blender. Throw everything in there, hit pure, and then you got a meal. Yeah, if you just want the super simple soil and stuff, just got a protein in there. Put some peanut butter in there. It's great. Throw some rock star in, you know, kind of liquefied a little more. I can go from zero to have eaten breakfast in fifteen minutes. That's crazy. Yeah, I didn't even know that was on the spiedometer. Yea, yep. Dan. You ever get just some like Ortega taco shells, some some some cheese. I think I tried doing that once in college. My mom used to make tacos at home and those it was good chocol n It's fun. Yeah, yeah, I just I is fun. Like there are things that about food that are making fun. But like like but in terms of just like when I was like living alone, it was just like in terms of like how I want to spend my time and stuff like that, Like it just it just didn't rate. You know. It's like the the options of like, am I going to spend all this time to make this food that's probably not gonna be good and it's not that much better for me because I'm just like fucking unfreezing something or you know, like I don't know, I got all this chicken from Costco and this tick of masala sauce from Costco. I'm gonna mix it all together. Whoops, this is too much. Well I guess I'm just gonna eat it all anyway and then fall asleep immediately. That's still better for you. Yeah, stuff. Yeah. Here's a fun tip for for tacos and burritos at home. I heard this on another podcast. It was a woodworking podcast. When you're here, when you're having burritos, like if you're doing soft burritos or whatever, like not the hard ones, put a burrito shell on your plate. Starts ay, what's a burrito shell be? What's a hard burrito? Like a hard taco okay, okay, okay, and then a breed like a flower brito. Yeah, and then and then while you're eating your meal, by the end of your fourth burrito, you can roll all the remains on the plate. Have a last burrito. That's pretty good. Here's why I don't partaga thing. I don't know the ortagas because I don't really actually like that the tacos that much. He got hard talk was because I don't think I've ever successfully eating a taco because every time I tried to, it just falls apart and it just becomes bring work. That's well, yeah, yeah, you always get that. Yeah, But that's why I like double deckers and cheese and cheesey Gordia crunches, because it's got the soft thing that's keeping everything in there. Hard one is just kind of probable. I don't know. I don't know if I have gotten a hard show taco. You never successfully eating a hard show like a soft show one. I never old the tacos a taco bell never. I can't remember. I almost been ten years ago. I never didn't get the combo that comes. I tried to trito one soft. If I'm feeling fancy you should go. She should, but I don't know. I actually it's been well, no, it was when we were at La Pod Fast. That was the last time I ate at a taco bell and that is the first time I'd eaten one in months. Do you go to the Jack in the box get their hard tacos? They like microwave them so the shells get super soft and sealed together. Yeah, that sounds pretty, and then put them inside out of a hamburger. I can feel my blood pressure rising. We have to end this sim level of this food. Yeah, so you stand the stuff taco shells, you get some, you get some corn, you get some keenwa Yeah, and uh some cheese sounds good, and uh, it's a it's a was it beyond meat? They have a crumble, it's it's a it's actually not real meat. But in the context of all the other stuff you're putting in there, is that Well, I think it's fine on some Yeah, it's it doesn't taste bad like fake meat. It's I mean, you know, just don't call it meat. It's just call it what it is. Yes, totally. I think that's that's the thing that I think people don't get about, like meat substitute products. Is there are people going like there are people that have this neat and you see people that like go vegan and they're just like, oh, I need bacon. Bro fucking bacon. Let's talk about bacon on the internet some more bacon. I mean, look, I love bacon and everything, but Jesus Christ, come on, man, you no shit. And I think like the fake stuff actually tastes pretty good too, does Like I'm not gonna sit here and go like it's just like the real thing. It doesn't doesn't have to but it doesn't have to be. There's no in Chinese place and birthday that I go to occasionally and it's just it just tastes like Chinese food. It's delicious. Like I saw you, you and Patrick when you were completed that last Mario Maker level and they're like, he was like, I'm gonna make you eat Tofu said, there's going like Tofu's pretty good. It's fine. I would do that. Yeah, Like there's there's no there's no steaks in that for you because there ain't no problem with Tofu mayonnaise. Now now now I'm out of that, I will go to bat for kane Wa though Keane was fantastic. I love Keano. There's a lot of stuff you can do with Pharaoh's really good too. It's a you know, it's a similar kind of always stand for was great a loan? I love its fine? All right? Never have you learned your lesson? Never bring up food again? Ye? All right? Uh huh. You could eat no taco belt. You could if you were so lucky. You could do a lot of things. You could. Yes, you could do a lot of things. The human body is resilient in a frightening way. And Dan described to me where you're waking up five years ago today? You just woke up. Where are you Minneapolis? Uh, downtown that was five years ago? To day would be twenty ten? Uh no, near dinky town, Minneapolis. Free. Now, imagine from then until now you have eaten nothing but taco bell. Yeah, okay, Wow, okay, dude, what did you think he was gonna say? I thought he'd be like, wow, that's a really long time to really think about. Five years. Okay, what percentage of meals between then and now? Would you say we're already taco bell? We're counting breakfast and everything. Yeah? Yeah, I mean, if I'm being realistic with this estimate here and five years the percent, it's no higher than five or ten percent. Oh okay, okay, that's still pretty I was maybe seven or eight maybe seven or eight, I was guessing fifteen. Lately I have it maybe two or three times a week, all right, Yeah, it was more back in the day. But do you have like a punch card or something. No, they don't do that. Really. Yeah, there's literally no reward for this other than the food is its own reward. It's like Nintendo and achievements. Would you work? Would you work out a taco bell as a food tester? Yeah? If the pay were good. Why do you had that second clause? That's because I don't you would care if you can't support yourself. That's just tough, right, Yeah? Would you? I am keenly interested in trying out new things that appear at fast food restaurants and like new energy d like I am fascinated by fucking low level food science in this mass produced format. Level of ingenuity in that industry is sort but don't forget day one. I went and tried an Arch Deluxe, but don't even though it had a bunch of stuff on it that I didn't want. I was like, well, I want, I want the Baseline Arch Deluxe to see what this thing is all about. Even though it's got a bunch of shit on it. I don't normally put on a burn. You're tasting all the rejects too, right, everything that was like, no, I would love to know. I would love to Okay, here's something I just remembered. He brought up the Arch Deluxe one year ago. No, two years ago. I had my first Big Mac. Oh, yeah, really, I have never tried it. There's a sauce in there. I feel they're grow it's gross. I don't like the Big Man. I didn't either. That was it was a sauce that scared me off it. But yellow sauce. You know why? That sauce is mostly mayonnaise. Yeah, it's not called mayonnaise, so I haven't tried. Man, it's got some other shit in it. But it's I mean, okay, well I didn't really like it that much, but yeah, it seems like that's the staple of the McDonalds Mayo and Thousand Island dressing. I don't know. Fucking carcinogens like a mixed carcentergigans in food it's in all of it. Yeah, I know they cooked the meat and how did that come up? Because I remember that being a big day in the office because you had a I think a big Mac. I think yer that Ryner found out. Yeah, Ryner found out that I had never had a big mac, and so he offered to buy me a big Mac. I like free food, and I was getting way more open minded with food. So we had like an office trip to Yeah, yeah, McDonald's. The idea fun like it's such a cool Yeah. Yeah, but that's cool. I think big macs of gross. What do they do as a top because it's a bottom part of the bun right in the middle. There's three bun parts. They have a special middle. Oh is it really? It's like a double bottom? Are they making that mc whopper? Did you see the what you didn't see this? I wait just as Yeah, yeah, I think they backed off. I think they're like, no, we're not going to collab with you dirt bags. Bur King reached out to McDonald's and was like, listen, like we make the whopper, you guys make the big Mac. Let's let's get together. Let's make some like pop up one day only. Shit. Shit, well, you know, McDonald's was like, look stocks down, but like it's apparently not down anymore. So But if like if Burger King is looking for collaboration, this can only lead to the official endorsement of the whopperper barrito. I mean, that's where this ends, is they can do they can get a taco bell interested then you go get that. I forget what kind of burrito was, but yeah, you would hold up a whopper inside of it. I think brito. I want to say it was a seven layer. Oh man, that's a lot of stuff to go in with the whopper, But I think you would get a seven layer with an extra tortilla on it because you're gonna need that extra tortilla, and you open that thing up, you stuff a fucking whopper in there, you get a whopper heavy all, which I would. So, you know, between not liking a seven layer and not liking most of the things they put, that was not the kind I got, But the original was I believe that was the That was how you did it, and you rolled it back up in there and then hated yourself. I don't know how. I don't know where I went from there. Science, yeah, Brad do you have any more emails? I'm sorry what I don't think we can answer one of those emails? Do you have any more questions? From two fifteen fourteen? I opened up I opened up my tumbler because I also solicited questions there. And the first thing I see is they should make Sugar Night DLC for shovel nights. So we're done here. I agree with this this course of action. Bomb cast of chinantball dot Com. Eventually, Yeah, yeah, they should, thanks for listening. Should probably do then? Should they? Actually? Yeah? The full question was one other prominent hip hop figures would make good DEALC for other games, Brian McKnight. Since I put it out there, earl sweatshirt, earl sweatshirt, earl sweatshirt, Montell, Jordan and Birdman, okay, Jordan versus bird Okay, all right, it's pretty good. Is that it? Yeah? That's it I got. I randomly pulled an email from John Drake out of that stack of twenty fourteen. Okay, what is that? Ruined? I ruined the surprise because I said it was from John Drake. Uh hey, Brad, longtime email or first time listener. I noticed at the end of the last week's show. You kept saying Thanksgiving. I was brought up saying Thanksgiving? What the fuck? Yeah? What's up? Explain yourself? Also, also, can we agree that it's the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade, not the end, that that parade is a nightmare machine Gobble Gobble versus Drake versus the one Macy's Thanksgiving. Yeah, Thanksgiving. I hate to John Drake's right. Thanks. I like the way you say. I think it's charming. Yep. Insurance. I like the way you think insurance adults insurance, insurance, insurance dance insurance, insurance, say insurance. I don't Actually what do I say? So? I just got my car insurance? Say insurance, Oh yeah, I got my renners insurance insurance insurance? No, I say insurance insurance. Yeah. People tell me I say breaking bad. Weird. Yeah. People say it's like breaking bad or something like it's breaking How do you say it? I say breaking bad? Is you go breaking bad? You like emphasize the breaking bad? You just watch I'm gonna watch this episode of Breaking Bad. No, no, no, it's it's a two words. It's like two like you're breaking bad and you're saying breaking bad. Is it a niche or niche. It's almost like you're saying breaking badly all right around the table Thanksgiving, Thanksgiving, Thanksgiving, Thanksgiving, Thanksgiving, Thanksgiving, Thanksgiving fun all of you. I like, I said, I like, don't lash out just because you're different. Okay, adult, you're special and that's you should just you should celebrate that. Okay. Also at the end of this email, John Drake says, ps come to PlayStation Experience. That actually totally is that the name of a new podcast? Very how very applicable to calendar twenty fifteen? Yeah? Who would have thought that thing is soon this weekend? This weekend? Oh no, this is an email from twenty fourteen. Yes, it happened already. All right, well we missed that one. Yeah. I watched the keynote on a What happened? Uh shin MoU, Yeah, what happened? What happened last year? Is that where they they didn't announce Street Fight or five there do they? No, they showed some characters and stuff. Maybe that's what it was. They announced Day Have the Tentacle. Okay, where's that? I don't know what I think that was it? I don't know. I hope some good stuff comes out. Of that thing. Yeah, I'm gonna go check out we got that and the Game Awards happening this week, potentially double dose of some news that online only again. You're in December. Yeah, we should, we should live stream it. Oh, it doesn't play on the radio. Wait, look around the studio. Boom nothing. What else came into Tumblr? Oh? Man, you really want more? I need to listen to the questions. We need to take more than otherwise. That's kind of a dick move to listen a bunch of stuff. And I'm sure sure you just cut that whole Taco Bell se No, We're gonna have nothing but questions for the rest of this month. You want to censor the Taco Bell segment? No, no, I want to cut it out completely. Every every podcast from here until twenty sixteen is nothing but emails, so we need fodder. If you're listening to this, I want you to know that Taco Bell segment went on for about five hours. So Brad cut. I'm like, that's not true. It was like at least an hour and a half, So Brad, it's not an hour and a half. Brad cut something. I know he's very good. It could have a good edit point. You wouldn't even know there's a Taco Bell slider inside of audacity that he just slid all the way. Yeah, but it will we'll not hear in your version of I thought you were talking about menu items again, slider talking about that's the Bell Beef. They had a hamburger called the Bell beefs used the auto duck. McDonald's ever had pizzas out here? No, they had a mc cans. They're pretty good. Pizza did not make it. No, we're not going back to this. Shut the fuck up brew? What are we at? What? What are we at on this one? Fifty three one was Taco Bell founded? Oh you don't have the whole I don't know, all right, whatever these sixties, I want to say the eighties they opened a round table in my town. They were just they were they're moving the original Taco Bell location, like like literally hoisting it up. It was going to be demolished. When do you think it was from? Uh? I don't. I don't think it's said, but I saw a picture they had hoisted the fifties, actually got up on a truck and they were relocating it somewhere. Yeah, I think it was the fifties and sixties something like that. But it was like like that one Taco Bell that was like around for fifteen years before it was franchise la or something. I'm talking about real taco bell, like as we know it today. I think it was invented by Alexander Graham Bell. Yeah, I love that Taco's sixty two in Downey, California. I don't I don't know much about Taco Bell. But did you know that the first Chick fil A is called the Dwarf House? Is there a reason for that? Is the Dwarf House open on Sundays? Now? I doubt it? Fine? Here you go. This guy had sent this into my tumble or anonymously, but even signed it. It's Jerry in Atlanta. Hi, Jerry. My annual company Christmas party is this Friday. I work in a buttoned up office setting, but everyone always gets loose when we have an open bar. Last year, I witnessed the company president do the worm, the sales manager fall down a flight of stairs, and the mail room guy throw up off a balcony. What's the worst behavior you've ever seen at a business Christmas party? I alluded to one Jeff Exchange glances. Look who's sitting around here. It had to be that year at Fluid, right, I don't know if I was there. I remember that one was the worst that was. There was that City Hall year too. I wasn't here for that. You didn't go to that, dude, that that party was legend. I was the year that it was at Fluid was the year that I had just gotten back from Japan from the PSP launch. And that was the year that I threw up out of your car the whole way across the Great I thought that was I thought that was the Sake Lab year. No, that was the Fluid year. That was when everything went side. We used to We used to have good Christmas parties. That was the last time they let the Games Group have, or Game Spot at the time, have a separate Christmas party from the rest of the company. Fluid one. It was good because it was too much. It was too much. I could see why it was too much. It was legit. I think I was working on a Game of the Year for every Christmas party I was hearing, except for the one where Brad took the microphone for karaoke. I think that was a Christmas party. Yeah, like ripped it shut off Patrick's song. What I don't remember that. Oh, yeah, it wasn't the year when they said it was up on sixth said the karaoke thing up there. Now, yeah, you totally remember. I think I don't think i'd realized what I was doing at the time, because he totally apologized the next day, like I think I just turned yourself. Yeah, I don't think I realized exactly what I was doing. Well, that was when we had the karaoke machine up there and nobody knew how to run it. Yes, yes, that's right, Okay, all right, well there you go. Yeah that everyone that year, that last year for what was it? Do you remember? I guess what was the year the PSP launched. So what was Yeah, that makes sense, the last one that I was here for. Yeah, I got real sick in your car. That was outside of my car, outside of your car. Yeah, he kept the entire golden gate bridge. Yeah, you kept it all outside the car. I mean there was a little on the side, but it was mostly just out. Then he's looking at me expectantly. I remember holding I remember standing in the bathroom of that bar. The only thing keeping me up was holding onto the faucet of the sink and just like leaning back to all right, hold back. Everybody knows that. The amazing thing is you weren't even the most drunk person. Oh no, no, no that yeah, no they shouldn't. That was a good year to go out on man, the CEO of the entire cup. But he rolled in and was doing shots at the bars. Why they enabled that ship like they tried to walk him through like, oh here a business man. And then it was like Ryan, it's like right away from Ryan stiffs Ryan and Shelby doing shots at the bar. Uh yep, Yeah, I think I had like I do not drink shots as a rule, but I broke it that year like Shelby's drinking shots. Sometimes you have to remind yourself while you had the rule. Yeah, and then that would yes, And then me throwing up the entire length of the Golden Gate Bridge was the reminder of the rule. Yeah, paint, paint the bridge. All right, Vinnie, I'm naming you my arbiter of emails. Tell me you tell me when we're done emails. Oh sure, okay, never more, keep going and don't name it. If he can start using my tumbling for this every week, you get really good stuff to when when you turn on the anonymous asks there's one first person to ever say that ever if I well, when they know it's gonna be on the podcast. If I've listened to every bomb cast three times healthy? If if I mean he's clearly beyond help, Yeah, I mean we help by recording one more. If you'd listen to you every three times a week, Yeah, there you go, space medal. Yeah. Do you think we have a person podcast? Is the person who went back and listened three times through or someone who every week listened to the same one three times? I don't know. That would be pretty grim. Maybe there's not a weird like it's like a road road row your boat schedule of like you know, they listened to the first one, then they listen to one from three weeks ago, and then from two weeks and then fairhair. Yeah you need a shorter commute. Uh, Pete Rose inter out of the whole fame? Whoa which already? Yeah he's in there. I don't think that's the one they mean. Okay, he dressed up like a chicken that one time. I don't know any of this. I don't know. I could see putting him in. It's not like he took drugs to make him better at baseball. Yeah, he just was a gambling dirt bag. Sure if there was a Worst Marketing Campaign award this year, which game would win? Oh? Is there? How do we know there isn't one? I don't know. I got there's one really bad one he talked about on the podcast. I'm trying to remember what it was like, embarrassingly bad for a game that deserved better. God damn it, I'm gonna go with that dealing extreme. Yeah, pretty pretty rotten, pretty rough marketing campaign, but effective. Everyone's talking about him and Nick Cannon ad for Black Ops is pretty bad. But I just don't know. I didn't even watch that, but yeah, it fucking yeah. You'd say, hey, watching we go and watch this thing with Nick Cannon, And my answer every time is no, was that Madden thing this year? Was that last year which maddened thing? It's a Madden thing? It was like very excessive. That was this year? That was that was bad? The one with Dave Franco. Yes, I did not want Who was Dave Franco, the brother of James Franco. What? Oh, yeah, there's there's another Frank because in the Brian Doyle Murray in it too. No, because Brian Doyle Murdray is actually fit more famous than Franco. Has Dave Franco done anything other than on Anyone Jump Street? He's appeared in something, all right? Yeah, alright stuff, Okay, I don't know. It seems like an asshole, but whatever from my kids from he plays Asho. Let's say, there's Carl's junior ads for black opps, the French Fry radicals. I never saw that really. Yeah, look at Carl's junior black kind of item that was like a French Fries shaped radical for your gun. Yeah. And the commercial where the girl looks at the guys no nice package. It's like he's holding like a Carl Junior package down by his winter. All right, that's the one that's and you get French Fry radicals. That wins man. I should get TV again because I never see I never get to see any of this really great stuff. I don't know what movies are coming out. There's a new Star Wars. I'm told there's your bomb cast. I recently found out my ex girlfriend works for Dave Lane. I am completely over her. I've been dating someone new for a year now, and I have no ill will toward my ex and wish her the best. I'm not sure that's true. That said, what would you do if your ex start working for Dave lay? Define working for now? I don't know what WI should the best? Yeah, I find out what happened with it was the Arkham Knight. Yeah, there you go, get to the bottom of that story. There you go infiltrate. Uh man, I don't know. Some of these are really bad. Read the first question that came in. Oh god, I'd have to scroll for ages. Read the one who thumbs on now right now? Yeah, what's the point of debating Game of the Year If everyone knows the Tony Hawk is going to win? What year does the vape Civil War begin? These are there's two questions from the same person. These are good questions. I think one follows from the other. Yeah, I think that's I think that's the answer. Yeah, when Tony wins the Game of the Year, history of historians look back on the Great Vape War. So this is the vapors versus the non vapor No, because it is vape civil war, have to be all vapors fighting civil wars. True iron Man Wantssia. Russia was vaping really close to Turkey's border, okay, and Turkey did not like that, so they put up a no vaping policy and told them ten times, do not vape near our border, and they continue to vape. That's not cool. That is not cool at all. And then eventually Zone everyone got nuked. Wall broke out when the vape Kings infiltrated Planet of the Vapes. Does I hope that answers that question. Come to my store, vape Ape, and I'll tell you more about it. I've been down the store. It's dark. There's a story near me called Vapaholics, and I feel like, like alcoholic isn't a positive connotation. Well, there's a lot of that, Like a lot of people talk about games in a positive way, Like this gets super addictive. Like no, what people say like alcoholic and jerichoholic and you know people use it in positive way. Yeah, there's nothing positive about being a jerichoholic, especially now. The fun thing about fake vape shops is there, we did this. They're all real. Every possible bit of shitty word play you could invent exists. I just saw in Kansas. There's one it just said vape. That was it. After hearing all these puns and everything, I was hoping they all have silly names. It is just vape. Were you wearing the glasses? It's gonna ask that question. Davin that consumed it was in a strip mall and the stories. I got a picture of its vape and it was karate liquor vape tattoo, four separate stories. That was the name of all of them in a row. Nothing but the only one I could think of. I got kind of like nasty and like a gross thing that like I kind of felt bad for thinking of. And now I'm gonna speak it aloud here that I that I just looked up and it doesn't seem to Oh no, no, it is vape culture. Wow. Yeah, that was the one. I was like, okay, that's that's probably over the line, right, And I was like, oh wait, no, yeah, it's real now. I said, any possible any possible thing you can come up with that vape would rhyme with someone did it? Yeah, that's a there's a Facebook page for it. Oh yeah, no, that's wow. That's an image Yeah, okay from Georgia O'Keefe flowers. Yeah, it's very refined, all right, Last female, last one? Would you rather always be mildly itchy or always have to wear mildly damp clothes? Oh? Wow? Could I do both? Always mildly? Well, where's the part where I launched myself into the sun. So let me clarify brad here. If you're always mildly itchy, can you never seek retie from the itch because it scratch, scratch, it's but will feel good? Get different itches? Or I don't think it doesn't jump. I don't think. I don't agree with it feels good if it continues to itch. No, but it requires you to do something, whereas dampness you just gotta be like, I'm kind of damp. Did they feel damp? Or is it or is it actually damn? They said? Does the damness lead to a mildewey like smell? I'm sure like, yeah, right, it all change your clothes, but they're also they're also gonna be damn right.
