<v Speaker 1>You'll be like a gouty bit. It's the Internet. <v Speaker 2>You're busy. Let's do this for August twenty ninth, twenty <v Speaker 2>twenty four. For the next hour or so, let me <v Speaker 2>help you sort through the world of gaming on Game <v Speaker 2>mes Mornings Live with me jeff Grub. Today, PS five <v Speaker 2>pro plans begin to leak. Konami heavily suggests middle Gear <v Speaker 2>Solid four will be playable on something other than a <v Speaker 2>PS three, and Sonic Team puts out a declarative statement <v Speaker 2>that Shadow is not vegeta. But first, please join me <v Speaker 2>and welcoming today's co host of Game Mess Mornings. It's <v Speaker 2>Janet Joa. Everybody, jan How are you doing? <v Speaker 3>I'm doing fantastic, Jeffrey Grub, it is a morning. It <v Speaker 3>is Thursday. Here we are also where we pulled the <v Speaker 3>groundhog out of the hole. It's still summer, it's still shadow. <v Speaker 3>It's like, I don't know how it's supposed to war. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, all that sounds accurate to me. I believe that <v Speaker 2>is how it's supposed to work. <v Speaker 1>Yeah. <v Speaker 2>I was looking at the weather report for Seattle. It's like, Okay, <v Speaker 2>it's gonna get up till eighty but then down to <v Speaker 2>sixty at night. I'm like, Okay, I'm probably still just <v Speaker 2>be wearing shorts mostly trying to dress for summer. I'm <v Speaker 2>ready for fall, Jan, I'm super ready. At the same time, <v Speaker 2>I'm like excited about going to packs. I might be <v Speaker 2>in a bad mood for this because there are so <v Speaker 2>many games coming out that. <v Speaker 1>I want to play, and I'm like, I don't want <v Speaker 1>to talk to it to people. I want to go <v Speaker 1>and play games. Yeah. <v Speaker 3>I saw a specific email hit the end boxes, and <v Speaker 3>then I giggled to myself that you did. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, but you all did, huh, yes, but yeah, I <v Speaker 2>don't know. I'm still looking forward to It's gonna be <v Speaker 2>a good time. By this time tomorrow, I will be <v Speaker 2>just about landing in Seattle, so looking forward to seeing <v Speaker 2>everyone there. That does mean no game that morning is <v Speaker 2>on Friday, everybody, so just tuned into Giant Bomb. Jan <v Speaker 2>and the crew have other stuff going on the site right. <v Speaker 1>Yes, we will be doing UBF. <v Speaker 3>I thought about asking Sean would be an easier ask, <v Speaker 3>but then I realized if I asked Nicky and Bailey <v Speaker 3>to go get buzzballs and then do a live film <v Speaker 3>in forties at nine o'clock in the morning, that might <v Speaker 3>be bad. Yeah, but it might be good. Nick is <v Speaker 3>chiming in that, Yeah, I can do that. No, that <v Speaker 3>sounds great. <v Speaker 2>Hell yeah, all right, Well I look forward to some mornings, baby, <v Speaker 2>most some mornings here on Giant Bob. <v Speaker 1>I can't wait. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, but I mean there's there's a lot of other stuff, <v Speaker 2>Like it feels like every indie publisher is also putting <v Speaker 2>out their. <v Speaker 1>Game right now. <v Speaker 2>I was playing a Monster Truck game and there's a <v Speaker 2>scorel with a gun that you're allowed to talk about <v Speaker 2>that now, my god, Yes, yes that is out. Yeah, <v Speaker 2>that's like I could just be playing that now, but <v Speaker 2>it's Yeah, there's a million of these things. <v Speaker 3>Also, I circled back and gave Tactical Breech Wizards more <v Speaker 3>of a more time and whole he smokes, grub Yeah, <v Speaker 3>up my out. I think it might be a very <v Speaker 3>good game. Yeah, yeah, I definitely. When we're back and <v Speaker 3>it isn't be week and we stopped buzzing from B week, <v Speaker 3>we'll we'll definitely we should do a catch up stream <v Speaker 3>with that. <v Speaker 1>Such an idea, because there's. <v Speaker 2>Quite a few that I'm like, I would like to <v Speaker 2>love to spend a little bit of time with. We <v Speaker 2>can maybe do an extra long catch up stream and <v Speaker 2>just have everybody bring a game or two and do that. <v Speaker 2>That would be excellent. Tactico Breach Wizards that always like <v Speaker 2>that might be the one I should be playing on <v Speaker 2>the plane because I'm enjoying it so much, very end <v Speaker 2>of the Breach, and then the writing's actually pretty funny <v Speaker 2>if some people are super into it. I'm like, I <v Speaker 2>am enjoying it. I'm like enjoying the tactics so much. <v Speaker 2>Get me back into the action. <v Speaker 1>So yeah, yes, good stuff, Jeff Grub. <v Speaker 3>I'd like to take this opportunity to mention something I <v Speaker 3>totally spaced out on during games Com. I had forgot <v Speaker 3>how global of an event games Com is. One of <v Speaker 3>the buildings, there are a bunch of different booths from <v Speaker 3>different countries representing game Devil coming out of there, stuff <v Speaker 3>from Istanbul, Korea, really cool stuff, seeing how global game <v Speaker 3>development is. And then I got me thinking, wait a minute, <v Speaker 3>are my people here? So I had dragged our dear <v Speaker 3>friend Bailey Myers with me and made a couple laps <v Speaker 3>around the hall where all of the different countries were <v Speaker 3>representing themselves, and then I thought, ah, nuts, I don't <v Speaker 3>see us anywhere. <v Speaker 1>And then as I'm about to go down. <v Speaker 3>The stairs, a little twinkle catches my eye and I <v Speaker 3>see this a little sign of that says Philippines, And. <v Speaker 1>I'm like, oh wow, hey, all right. <v Speaker 3>People, And it was really cool to see game development <v Speaker 3>popping out of the Philippines. Generally, the Philippines is like <v Speaker 3>a big on support studios, whether that's like QA shot <v Speaker 3>shit or art stuff or I mean generally call centers <v Speaker 3>are also big in the Philippines. But it's really really <v Speaker 3>freaking neat to see game development and original IP popping <v Speaker 3>out of the Philippines. Surprisingly surprising to me at least. <v Speaker 3>There's a lot of fighting games coming out of the <v Speaker 3>Philippines right now. Okay, yeah, it's really big on the <v Speaker 3>mobile market, so on Google Play and on iOS. CNAG <v Speaker 3>s I Nag is a game that's popping off right now. <v Speaker 3>And yeah, it was really cool to talk to you know, <v Speaker 3>my my Kapa Bion out there and just see what <v Speaker 3>the temp is like and just seeing the similar struggles <v Speaker 3>on the game development and game pr side of the <v Speaker 3>fence as to like the games media side of like <v Speaker 3>oh wow, yes, it's hard for y'all to get your <v Speaker 3>name out there likewise, Dog. <v Speaker 2>Yep, it's especially with like you know, over the last <v Speaker 2>year or two, as as the industry has been pulling <v Speaker 2>back on an investment. The unheard story there is always <v Speaker 2>support studios get hit first. So and that's like you know, <v Speaker 2>eventually game development, original game development, as you're describing growth <v Speaker 2>out of that, out of that element. That's what happened <v Speaker 2>in Australia in the mid two thousands, like in that decade, <v Speaker 2>and then the worldwide financial collapse happened and every support <v Speaker 2>studio in Australia got battered down to the ground. And <v Speaker 2>then since then they've been able to build up and <v Speaker 2>have their a vibrant community. It's a good signed to <v Speaker 2>me that Philippines had representation at games Com and was like, hey, no, <v Speaker 2>we're out there still trying to put our name out there. <v Speaker 1>That's great. Yeah, shouts out. <v Speaker 3>To games Com for I think they gave like the <v Speaker 3>Philippines team or like the Philippine devs like part of <v Speaker 3>a grant to help pay for their way to the <v Speaker 3>games come and show stuff off just so they can <v Speaker 3>get a name out there. Also, you know Philippin's government. <v Speaker 3>I'm not going to get into it. It can get <v Speaker 3>a little dicey, But it seems now that just like <v Speaker 3>in other Southeast Asian countries like Singapore, the government is <v Speaker 3>starting to invest in game development because they see the <v Speaker 3>positives of it and how it can be financially successful <v Speaker 3>and stimulate the economy in a good way. <v Speaker 1>I mean stimiling the economy. What the fuck am I saying? <v Speaker 3>But anyway, it was really cool cool to talk to <v Speaker 3>them and they were like, Yo, if y'all ever want <v Speaker 3>to come out to the Philippines and give it talk <v Speaker 3>holler at us. I'm like, is it cool if I <v Speaker 3>bring my whole crew? And they were like, all right, <v Speaker 3>let's pick it happen. <v Speaker 1>That would be fantastic. <v Speaker 2>There are a lot of times interesting gaming related conferences, <v Speaker 2>often maybe more business side focus, but gaming conferences that <v Speaker 2>do happen in that part of the world. <v Speaker 1>So yeah, I would love that. That'd be very cool. <v Speaker 1>All right, let's. <v Speaker 2>Explain what we do here most weekdays. I Jeff Grub <v Speaker 2>will help piece your gaming life back together. That includes <v Speaker 2>breaking news and maybe even some of our own original reporting. <v Speaker 2>For all these topics. I'll get the input of a <v Speaker 2>bona fide expert who will make me look smart. If <v Speaker 2>you were watching live on Twitch Welcome. You can always <v Speaker 2>listen to the show later on podcast feeds by searching <v Speaker 2>for Game Mess Mornings, or find the RSS on giant <v Speaker 2>bomb dot com. You can also catch the show later <v Speaker 2>with chapters and timestamps on YouTube. Hello YouTube. All right, <v Speaker 2>we have a lot to get into, so let's start <v Speaker 2>the Morning Mess with PS five Pro. Announcement plans and <v Speaker 2>console design have been leaked. This is from Chris Scullion <v Speaker 2>at VGC. The mid gen PlayStation five upgrade will be <v Speaker 2>announced in the coming weeks. <v Speaker 1>It is claimed. <v Speaker 2>Deal Labs user build Bill Kuhn, who has a lengthy <v Speaker 2>track record for leaking upcoming games in hardware, says the <v Speaker 2>new console will indeed be called PS five Pro. They <v Speaker 2>say it will be announced very soon, with the official <v Speaker 2>announcement set to be made during the first half of September. <v Speaker 2>They also claim to have access to the packaging design <v Speaker 2>for the PS five Pro, but because they can't share <v Speaker 2>copyrighted images, they have instead drawn a sketch of the design. <v Speaker 2>I'll find that image and put up here in a <v Speaker 2>second during this conversation, everybody, but it looks like a <v Speaker 2>PlayStation slim. PlayStation five Slim but you know, bigger probably again. <v Speaker 2>According to the illustration, the console design will look similar <v Speaker 2>to the PS five Slim and will still be colored white. <v Speaker 2>The main difference is the addition of three black stripes <v Speaker 2>across the middle of the console, differentiating it from the <v Speaker 2>other PS five models. The report also suggests that the <v Speaker 2>PS five Pro appears to be slightly thicker than the <v Speaker 2>PS five Slim, but suggests that the design of the <v Speaker 2>face plates means it may still be compatible with existing <v Speaker 2>PS five Slim of face plates. One thing Bill bil <v Speaker 2>Kuhn cannot yet confirm is whether the PS five Pro <v Speaker 2>will have a disk drive, because the images they have <v Speaker 2>received shows a PS five Pro without one. It's not <v Speaker 2>clear therefore, whether there will be two models of the <v Speaker 2>PS five Pro, one with a disc and one without, <v Speaker 2>or whether it will be a single digital only addition <v Speaker 2>with the option for players to buy a disc drive separately, <v Speaker 2>as is the case for the PS five or for <v Speaker 2>the digital only a PS five Slim. One theory offered <v Speaker 2>by Bill bil Koon is that the console may ship <v Speaker 2>without a disk drive in order to keep costs lower, <v Speaker 2>and of course then you could buy one separately. The <v Speaker 2>report also says that PS five Pro will come with <v Speaker 2>the same standard white dual sense controller that already comes <v Speaker 2>with the original and slim PS five models. Speculation is <v Speaker 2>mounted for some time about the internal specifications of the <v Speaker 2>PS five Pro, something Bill bil Kuhn's report sheds no <v Speaker 2>new light on, although we have a pretty decent idea <v Speaker 2>what the thing's going to be a little bit more powerful, <v Speaker 2>rate tracing, much better of the upscaling tech PSSR. I <v Speaker 2>think it was what they're calling it, super sampling is <v Speaker 2>going to be much better as well, so they'll be <v Speaker 2>able to do four K sixty maybe a little bit <v Speaker 2>more frequently. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, this thing we've got. <v Speaker 2>I think we were getting the sense of this this <v Speaker 2>was gonna be happening soon, just because we keep hearing <v Speaker 2>this thing is supposed to launch this year jan So <v Speaker 2>when are you gonna do it? Probably before Tokyo Game Show. <v Speaker 2>Then I separately heard that there's a PlayStation a state <v Speaker 2>of play happening later in September, And the reality is like, <v Speaker 2>I like, hey, they could announce this thing beforehand and <v Speaker 2>then have some more news about it. <v Speaker 1>In that state of play. Sounds like that is. <v Speaker 2>The play that they're going to run here, What do <v Speaker 2>you think. <v Speaker 3>It. PlayStation's moves across the board have been nothing but <v Speaker 3>confusing to me, And I completely understand that I am <v Speaker 3>not a business analyst by any stretch of the imagination, <v Speaker 3>but I understand that they raise the prices in Japan <v Speaker 3>to because they know the people that want it are <v Speaker 3>going to pay top dollar for it. But also for <v Speaker 3>this to be looming in the background, it just feels <v Speaker 3>especially odd because I don't know, are they trying to <v Speaker 3>increase the install base. Are they just trying to make <v Speaker 3>as much much money as they can before and squeeze <v Speaker 3>squeeze it out before the PS five pro drops. And <v Speaker 3>also I don't know, I've always looked forward to like <v Speaker 3>the second or third iteration of a PlayStation console because <v Speaker 3>the design not radically changes, but it switches up decently <v Speaker 3>enough it does. Maybe in my head, I'm just thinking <v Speaker 3>of like, how cool I thought the PS two Slim <v Speaker 3>was fantastic. <v Speaker 2>I like the PS one, Yeah, yeah, I love those. <v Speaker 3>And then seeing the leaked sketches or the leaked designs, <v Speaker 3>it's kind of disappointing in how samy it looks. I <v Speaker 3>don't have the biggest problem with how the PS five looks, <v Speaker 3>other than it just looking like a design nightmare and <v Speaker 3>looking like Seto Kaiba from Yu Gi. Oh. But I <v Speaker 3>would have hoped for like a different enough design for <v Speaker 3>me to justify buying it of like, oh, hey, this <v Speaker 3>is a different box that I'm never going to see, <v Speaker 3>but it's cooler looking. Yeah, this just looks just as <v Speaker 3>cumbersome and as weird to try and fit into an <v Speaker 3>entertainment center or behind a monitor. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, I mean it's it's still it is still that giant, <v Speaker 2>like blooming monoligy type of deals on right, like just <v Speaker 2>a tuning fork with a computer inside of it. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, I mean I think it like from this. <v Speaker 2>Drawing again, this is bilbil Kuhn doing a sketch of <v Speaker 2>the PS five pro image that they saw on the <v Speaker 2>box itself. <v Speaker 1>And uh and so you know, artists rendition here a <v Speaker 1>little bit. <v Speaker 2>But I think this is probably gonna be pretty accurate. Yeah, <v Speaker 2>I guess you're right. I think I was also maybe <v Speaker 2>hoping for more of a departure because the PS five, <v Speaker 2>you know, slim, the original PS five, those things probably <v Speaker 2>aren't gonna go anywhere. I do have five Digital right there. <v Speaker 2>I previously owned the original PS five before that. I <v Speaker 2>think I like it when they take even more risks <v Speaker 2>and try something completely different and have a new design <v Speaker 2>language a little bit, or or stick with the same <v Speaker 2>design language but try something that still looks different even <v Speaker 2>if it's part of the same family. So yeah, a <v Speaker 2>little disappointing there. Yeah, what are you gonna say. <v Speaker 3>Like different color scheme even or like, I don't know, <v Speaker 3>giving it some type of personality just because like the <v Speaker 3>white kind of just feels too sterile, or for me personally, <v Speaker 3>it feels too sterile, especially if they're pairing it with <v Speaker 3>like the same white dual sense that the original PS <v Speaker 3>five came with. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, now this drawing here clearly does not have a <v Speaker 2>disk drive, I think the way it works on the <v Speaker 2>PS five slim. Again, I don't have one and haven't <v Speaker 2>really interacted with one, So I'm like going off the <v Speaker 2>memory of us covering the story when it was launching <v Speaker 2>jan But my memory is, you take off one of <v Speaker 2>these panels you could stick on a drive, right, and <v Speaker 2>then to put the panel back on top of that. <v Speaker 2>There's no reason to think that that's not exactly what <v Speaker 2>they're doing here. It seems like this thing is probably <v Speaker 2>gonna launch without a disk drive. Maybe there's a bundle <v Speaker 2>that comes with one. But I think they're doing exactly <v Speaker 2>what they did with the slim model. <v Speaker 1>Right, Yeah. <v Speaker 3>I saw sketches of the PS not sketches pictures of <v Speaker 3>the PS five Slim, and that does appear to be <v Speaker 3>the case of a detachable disk drive. Yeah, this is <v Speaker 3>how they squeeze out folks to get to that seven <v Speaker 3>hundred mark grub. I think Emma is more and more <v Speaker 3>right as the days go by. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, I mean, so the price is the other thing <v Speaker 2>here that we have been talking about a lot, and <v Speaker 2>clearly you mentioned it. The price increase in Japan to <v Speaker 2>five hundred for the digital version in like basically five <v Speaker 2>fifty ish for the the one that has to disk drive. <v Speaker 2>That means this thing is at least six hundred dollars. <v Speaker 2>But it's man, they just increased the price on that. <v Speaker 2>Why wouldn't I mean to me, it's like, actually, it's <v Speaker 2>probably at least six fifty in Japan in places like that. <v Speaker 2>And you know, here's what I think happens is we <v Speaker 2>talk about it every time. The people who are most <v Speaker 2>likely to get this, or people who already have a <v Speaker 2>PS five and got one as soon as they could, <v Speaker 2>and people that were following Morio sixty four and trying <v Speaker 2>to captures as quickly as possible. Some people that are <v Speaker 2>the most into this thing, and so those people, I <v Speaker 2>think do try to say, hey, okay, i'll take my <v Speaker 2>PS five now I'll sell that. I'll have the money <v Speaker 2>and I'll use that money to help fund this. So <v Speaker 2>this thing's only going to be and if they're thinking <v Speaker 2>it's going to be six hundred dollars, well, it's like <v Speaker 2>I'll be able to get it for one hundred and <v Speaker 2>fifty two hundred dollars or something like that. I think, <v Speaker 2>you know, when you start doing that, boy, Math, I <v Speaker 2>think that Sony's like, well, actually, okay, if you're going <v Speaker 2>to think about it that way, what if it's actually just, <v Speaker 2>you know, three hundred dollars and we actually charged seven <v Speaker 2>hundred dollars for the sticker price. I think that Sony <v Speaker 2>knows that's who they're dealing with, and would not. I <v Speaker 2>think they are less afraid than they've ever been to <v Speaker 2>go higher for the price than what we're expecting. Sure, <v Speaker 2>and they've done that, and they have done that in <v Speaker 2>the past a lot of times. I think I think <v Speaker 2>Microsoft is even more frequently going to like way above <v Speaker 2>and pricing their stuff than what I was always expecting <v Speaker 2>them to do. But Sony does that as well, and <v Speaker 2>now it's like the way the market is and the <v Speaker 2>way the economy is. Yeah, I'm just not going to <v Speaker 2>be shocked when this thing is seven hundred dollars. <v Speaker 1>Yeah. <v Speaker 3>I think the surprising thing is Sony in PlayStation kind <v Speaker 3>of not leaning into the hype must buy factor that <v Speaker 3>kind of captivated audiences with a PS five because I <v Speaker 3>feel like everyone of their mama's was after a PS <v Speaker 3>five during the pandemic just because of the scarcity of it, <v Speaker 3>And I feel like they're kind of not leaning into <v Speaker 3>that hype factor because grub in all of the sneaker <v Speaker 3>reselling websites, you start seeing PS fives marked way way up, <v Speaker 3>and it kind of feels like there's no hype or <v Speaker 3>buzz going on with a PS five progest yet. And <v Speaker 3>I know that they haven't officially announced it yet, but <v Speaker 3>if you're trying to get that basic audience, I don't <v Speaker 3>know if they're going to be hooked with something that <v Speaker 3>looks fairly the same and with features that they may <v Speaker 3>not know that they need one. Like me myself, I <v Speaker 3>don't think I necessarily need a PS five Pro right now? <v Speaker 1>Yeah. <v Speaker 2>I mean it's like tiers, right, Like we talk about <v Speaker 2>the people that buy this thing no matter what. They're <v Speaker 2>in that top tier, but there's like several tiers below <v Speaker 2>that before you get to that casual audience. And I <v Speaker 2>think a lot of those middle tiers of people like, <v Speaker 2>of course I want a new PS five Pro. I <v Speaker 2>love games looking as good as possible, But I did <v Speaker 2>buy a PS five And do I feel like I <v Speaker 2>got like the use out of it that I wanted to, <v Speaker 2>or did I feel like that was a real next <v Speaker 2>Gin upgrade? Because a lot of the games I ended <v Speaker 2>up playing on there were games that also came out <v Speaker 2>on PS four, and well, I think there are people <v Speaker 2>who who are not sensitive to that at all because <v Speaker 2>they just want the newest thing no matter what. There <v Speaker 2>are a lot of people who are just behind that <v Speaker 2>audience saying I got to justify this to myself a <v Speaker 2>little bit. And I think that that argument is going <v Speaker 2>to be pretty tough to win for Sony because a <v Speaker 2>lot of people are looking at this generation as it <v Speaker 2>still feels in a lot of ways like it hasn't <v Speaker 2>fully gotten off the ground. Clearly, we've had some PS <v Speaker 2>five exclusive games we have, there's been a handful of them, <v Speaker 2>more than a handful. But I think in a lot <v Speaker 2>of people's sort of perspective on it, like when they're <v Speaker 2>going from their own perception, they're like, I could think <v Speaker 2>of two or three, and then like, I have a <v Speaker 2>a list a million miles long of games that I <v Speaker 2>either have kept playing from the PS four or have <v Speaker 2>launched since the launch of the PS five, and we're <v Speaker 2>on both consoles. So in a lot of ways, it's like, Okay, yeah, <v Speaker 2>that's still part of that cross generation thing that's happening. <v Speaker 2>When are we going to get the games that take <v Speaker 2>advantage of this thing? And there haven't been enough of those, <v Speaker 2>I think to make it so obvious that you need <v Speaker 2>a PS five Pro. So yeah, I think this thing <v Speaker 2>might kind of it's not got a fizzle, but I <v Speaker 2>think there will be questions around it that weren't even around, <v Speaker 2>like the PS four Pro, which never sold as well <v Speaker 2>as the original PS four, because people are like, yeah, <v Speaker 2>clearly I did, but I just bought a four K TV. <v Speaker 2>You're right, I should get as system that takes advantage <v Speaker 2>of this four KTV. Now everyone bought an HDMI two <v Speaker 2>point one television at the launch of the PS five <v Speaker 2>and then they got a PS five goal along with it, <v Speaker 2>and that both those things take full advantage of one another. <v Speaker 2>The PS five Pro is not going to have any <v Speaker 2>new one feature that like really makes that You're all <v Speaker 2>those purchases make sense. It's just going to run ray <v Speaker 2>tracing a little better. And that's what ten games that <v Speaker 2>have ray tracing that matter. Maybe I feel like that's <v Speaker 2>even a stretch. <v Speaker 1>Jan I don't know. <v Speaker 3>Yeah, I And again that that I don't want to <v Speaker 3>say regular, but that uh, normal consumer is will they <v Speaker 3>even notice that while they're continuing to play the same <v Speaker 3>games that they were already playing on a PS four <v Speaker 3>or are they going to notice it? Will it be <v Speaker 3>implemented in something like Fortnite or the next Call of Duty, <v Speaker 3>the annual Madden releases, Like does that matter to that player? <v Speaker 1>Yeah? <v Speaker 2>I think probably not for the most part. And uh yeah, <v Speaker 2>obviously there's going to be exceptions to that, people that like, no, <v Speaker 2>I just always get the new thing, But yeah, we'll see. Hey, <v Speaker 2>it's it's on Sony to create a compelling argument for <v Speaker 2>this thing, and we I haven't. They have not had <v Speaker 2>a chance to do that because they had not really <v Speaker 2>announced this thing yet, So in. <v Speaker 1>A couple of weeks they're going to do that, and <v Speaker 1>let's see. <v Speaker 2>I think if they if they they focus on stuff <v Speaker 2>like eight K, that is a lost cause right there. <v Speaker 2>I feel like they like that is them admitting that <v Speaker 2>they don't have the right buzzword this time. If they <v Speaker 2>come in and they try to like maybe finagle people <v Speaker 2>into caring about ray tracing, again, that also feels like <v Speaker 2>a stretch. But I think if they can go, hey, okay, <v Speaker 2>you did buy that four K TV and the pisser <v Speaker 2>Tech PSSR does enable you to get four K sixty <v Speaker 2>more frequently than you were getting it. And again that's <v Speaker 2>still a question as well. Like I say that now <v Speaker 2>people are gonna be like that mean GTA six is <v Speaker 2>going to run at four K sixty. Absolutely not with <v Speaker 2>your PS five pro and absolutely not. But maybe a <v Speaker 2>handful more of those games will do that. <v Speaker 1>That could convince some people. <v Speaker 2>It just is not as much as the original PS <v Speaker 2>four pro argument of four K you can actually do <v Speaker 2>it now. <v Speaker 1>That was so definite. <v Speaker 3>It's so interesting because they feel like a lot of <v Speaker 3>people that want up picking up a was it a <v Speaker 3>PS three. <v Speaker 1>Yeah. <v Speaker 3>PS three wound up using it all as well as <v Speaker 3>a Blu ray player, and I feel like we. <v Speaker 1>Haven't had that additional entertainment. <v Speaker 3>Side tech upgrade to justified getting another box just because <v Speaker 3>every TV streams now ye Sony PlayStation here here, put <v Speaker 3>on it, put put your peepers on. Get ready to <v Speaker 3>cut the check here you can make it out to <v Speaker 3>Jan Ochoa and Jeff Grub. <v Speaker 2>Don't worry, Grub, thanks got my back. <v Speaker 1>I appreciate it. Three dtvs, Let's do it again. I'm ready. <v Speaker 2>I'm ready again. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, run it back, baby, let's go. <v Speaker 2>We I know we messed up last time. Baby, We're <v Speaker 2>going to do so right this time. Don't worry. Three <v Speaker 2>dtv's are going to handle it for you. It's all <v Speaker 2>going to be good. <v Speaker 3>The idea Grub that two people can be playing split <v Speaker 3>screen co op, yeah, I love that, glasses and staring <v Speaker 3>at the same TV full screen. <v Speaker 2>How amazing is that? The lenticular thing? I always wondered <v Speaker 2>because that's the way the three DS works. I did <v Speaker 2>a video about this a long time ago on a <v Speaker 2>YouTube channel. If you want to see me nicking a <v Speaker 2>goofball myself. But the lenticular thing was like, there's events <v Speaker 2>on the screen that shoot the things a different eye, <v Speaker 2>so it only works for one person. But the cool <v Speaker 2>thing they did is like in some cars maybe and <v Speaker 2>maybe it's never actually shipped in at any real car, <v Speaker 2>they would instead of like shooting the vents at one person, <v Speaker 2>they would shoot the vents in two different directions, so <v Speaker 2>the driver could see the map and the person the <v Speaker 2>passenger seat could watch cheers or whatever. And I'm like, <v Speaker 2>I love that idea. I wish every time I'm in <v Speaker 2>my van and I were like on a road trip, <v Speaker 2>I'm like, I wish we had this so I could <v Speaker 2>see the map and Steph could like watch the movie <v Speaker 2>that the kids are watching. <v Speaker 1>But it's like, no, if she wants to do that, <v Speaker 1>she has to sit in the back, Like no way. <v Speaker 3>My favorite term that I've heard in the last two <v Speaker 3>three years is parallel play grub. Yeah, imagine body doubling. Yeah, <v Speaker 3>body doubling. I'm sitting next to the significant other and <v Speaker 3>you know, we're we're I'm playing the Newest Horizon because <v Speaker 3>I've gotten super into Horizon and she is watching the <v Speaker 3>New Horizon TV show. <v Speaker 1>That's synergy right there. <v Speaker 2>Man, That's honestly that's just is the commercial right there <v Speaker 2>for Sony. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, the marketing's done. <v Speaker 3>Cut the check, cut the checks like three d um yeah. <v Speaker 1>The other Oh shoot, I lost the dumb idea. It's fine. <v Speaker 2>Oh if you think of it, always come back. Yeah, absolutely, <v Speaker 2>all interrupt that. I appreciate it, all right, So let's <v Speaker 2>keep moving here. Konami says stay tuned when asked about <v Speaker 2>metal Gear Solid for remaster. <v Speaker 1>This is from my Nintendo news. <v Speaker 2>IGN recently had the chance to chat with Konami producer <v Speaker 2>Noriaki Akimura about all things metal Gear Solid. The interviewer <v Speaker 2>asked the question on everyone's lips, will they be bringing <v Speaker 2>the acclaimed metal Gear Solid four to modern consoles. Mister <v Speaker 2>Akamura replied by saying that they are aware of the <v Speaker 2>situation with metal Gear Solid for not being playable on <v Speaker 2>current video game platforms, but he hinted at the game's <v Speaker 2>inclusion and yet to be announced middle Gear Solid Master <v Speaker 2>Collection Volume two. Asked directly about bringing Meddle Gear salid <v Speaker 2>for to modern consoles, Akimura replied, we definitely aren't aware <v Speaker 2>of this situation. Unfortunately, we can't really say too much <v Speaker 2>at the moment. With Volume one containing middle Gear Solid <v Speaker 2>one through three. You can probably connect the dots though <v Speaker 2>he's like dot dot dot. He like literally said dot <v Speaker 2>dot dot. Right now, we still are internally concerned about <v Speaker 2>what we what we should be doing for the future <v Speaker 2>of the series. So sorry, we can't really reveal anything <v Speaker 2>at the moment, but stay tuned. I think jan from <v Speaker 2>the beginning when they said the first one was called <v Speaker 2>middle Gear Solid Master Collection Volume one and it had <v Speaker 2>one through three in it. At that point, you couldn't <v Speaker 2>do a volume two and not include metal Gear Solid <v Speaker 2>four and know we say that you can't. They could <v Speaker 2>do whatever they want. It would have been a crazy <v Speaker 2>thing to do. So I think the assumption for a <v Speaker 2>very long time now has been this is gonna happen, <v Speaker 2>and this is them all but confirming it. <v Speaker 1>Right, it has to. <v Speaker 3>Be, I don't I feel like bu handling up peace <v Speaker 3>Walker and like metal Gear Acid and Acid two, Yeah, <v Speaker 3>would not be enough to warrant a volume two collection. <v Speaker 3>You have to stick in metal Gear Solid four. Sure, <v Speaker 3>throw those PSP games, maybe throwing even the the iPhone <v Speaker 3>Metal Gear game. <v Speaker 1>Which was actually pretty good, y'all. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, and then that is a volume two yep, I <v Speaker 2>think so. Yeah, the Ghost babble. I would love to <v Speaker 2>see the game Boy Color game and there as well. <v Speaker 2>Oh my god, yeah, yeah, that'd be great, but you <v Speaker 2>can't do it with that four. And and you know, <v Speaker 2>obviously the problem has always been four is actually only <v Speaker 2>available on PS three. Whenever it was available somewhere else, <v Speaker 2>it was because they were streaming it from a PS <v Speaker 2>three somewhere on your PS four. So they were gonna <v Speaker 2>have to do the work to get this game up <v Speaker 2>and running on other platforms. But it feels like now's <v Speaker 2>the time to do that if you are making all <v Speaker 2>this effort and you did see a big reward from <v Speaker 2>doing You reaped a lot of huge reward from doing <v Speaker 2>that with Volume one. Volume one did a very well <v Speaker 2>for Konami. Clearly it's worth the investment. You get this <v Speaker 2>done now, and then you could sell Metal Gear Solid <v Speaker 2>four on platforms forever into the future. And then then <v Speaker 2>once it's on PC, it's just there and people can <v Speaker 2>just play it whenever. So yeah, this is uh, I <v Speaker 2>think this is ideal. <v Speaker 1>This is exciting. <v Speaker 2>Now I'm like, oh yeah, now I feel like pretty <v Speaker 2>happy about the idea of like, oh I'm gonna I <v Speaker 2>am going to start up Metal Gear Solid and play through. <v Speaker 2>I played through one and I played five. I haven't <v Speaker 2>played two, three or four or a lot of the <v Speaker 2>other stuff, so I'm like, well, part of that was <v Speaker 2>always Yeah, I mean, once I get the four, am <v Speaker 2>I gonna want to emulate it? <v Speaker 1>Yeah? I probably will just do that. <v Speaker 2>I guess I can go get a PlayStation three out <v Speaker 2>and get that running. <v Speaker 1>But that's just once. <v Speaker 2>So as soon as that hurdle gets placed in front <v Speaker 2>of me, it's an excuse to not do it. And <v Speaker 2>now I'm like, I should just do this and play <v Speaker 2>this game and stream it, and I would enjoy that. <v Speaker 1>But yeah, were you ever a metal Gear Solid four? <v Speaker 2>Guy? <v Speaker 3>I feel like I missed that because I didn't have <v Speaker 3>a PS three at the time. I wound up getting <v Speaker 3>a PS three way way after the console had already <v Speaker 3>been sent out to pasture. So I would definitely be <v Speaker 3>interested in fully checking out for myself. Mail Gear Solid four. <v Speaker 3>Definitely played it at a friend's house here and there, <v Speaker 3>but never dove in for the full thing. Watch male <v Speaker 3>Gear Scanlon's run of mail Gear Solid four. But I <v Speaker 3>kind of want to experience the microwaves for myself. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, of course. <v Speaker 3>Also, God, I think Medle Gear Solid five might be <v Speaker 3>in my top ten games. <v Speaker 1>It's so good. <v Speaker 2>I'm like that when as I am playing Star Wars <v Speaker 2>Outlaws and it's like it's a stealth game. It's like <v Speaker 2>I get, like, you can't. Not every game's gonna be <v Speaker 2>Medle Gear Slid five, no games, Ben middle Gear Solid <v Speaker 2>five basically since five. But boy, I wish they would <v Speaker 2>just copy what this game is doing or try to <v Speaker 2>like play around in this playground space a little bit more. <v Speaker 1>That would rule. <v Speaker 3>I'm curious to see what you would think of mail <v Speaker 3>Gear Solid three, knowing our similar tastes and distaste for <v Speaker 3>a game like Red Dead Redemption two. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, I'll give it a shot. I think. I hope <v Speaker 1>I like it. <v Speaker 2>I just I meddle Gear said one was like such <v Speaker 2>a good balance of being cinematic but still being a <v Speaker 2>video game ass video game, and I I just love <v Speaker 2>everything about it and I've tried too in the past. <v Speaker 2>I've like really given it a real shot. <v Speaker 1>So that's why I don't qualify as really playing it. <v Speaker 2>But it's everything I know about three and three. I've <v Speaker 2>actually tried a little bit two on three DS. I <v Speaker 2>tried that version recently. I was just like kind of <v Speaker 2>playing around for a little bit seeing what that was like, <v Speaker 2>and I was like, Okay, I'm not over the hump <v Speaker 2>of like what where does the good loop here? What <v Speaker 2>is fun about this? So I'm still cautious about that one, <v Speaker 2>but we'll see. I know people love that game, so <v Speaker 2>I'm willing to willing to jump in there and give <v Speaker 2>it a real. <v Speaker 1>Shot, all right. <v Speaker 2>Square Enix will bring more games to Xbox after Final <v Speaker 2>Fantasy fourteen success. This is from Evan Campbell at GameSpot. <v Speaker 2>Thanks to a really strong response on Xbox for Final <v Speaker 2>Fantasy fourteen, Square Enix seems committed to launching more of <v Speaker 2>its games on the console, though Naoki Yoshida, yoshidactor and <v Speaker 2>producer of the MMO, didn't offer any specific examples of <v Speaker 2>what could arrive next on Final Fantasy or on Xbox <v Speaker 2>Series X and S. Eurogamer caught up with Yoshulda at <v Speaker 2>games Com earlier this month and chatted about how Final <v Speaker 2>Fantasy fourteen has performed on Xbox since the full game <v Speaker 2>released in March. I'm happy to say that we've seen <v Speaker 2>a really strong response to on Xbox. <v Speaker 1>We've seen communities. <v Speaker 2>Starting to establish and now they're growing. YO should have <v Speaker 2>said on top of Final Fantasy fourteen success on Xbox, <v Speaker 2>Yo should have pointed out that Squaring X revealed a <v Speaker 2>new aggressive multi platform plan going forward in May. So <v Speaker 2>now we are moving towards the policy of releasing our <v Speaker 2>games on a multi platform basis, and we really want <v Speaker 2>as many players as possible to play our titles. So <v Speaker 2>with Final Fantasy fourteen as the starting point, we do <v Speaker 2>want to release more Square Inex games on Xbox, and <v Speaker 2>there will be more of our titles released on Xbox. Hey, <v Speaker 2>this is a little bit different than that. I think <v Speaker 2>the early days of Final Fantasy fourteen on Xbox, what <v Speaker 2>we were hearing was maybe it's Garland going slowly, but <v Speaker 2>it's like sounds like it has picked up pace, which <v Speaker 2>as an MMO it was always capable of doing. Yeah, <v Speaker 2>I mean, we know. Big part of this is what <v Speaker 2>he said there. Square next is like, hey, we are <v Speaker 2>maybe done with the exclusive partnerships. As much as it's <v Speaker 2>nice to have a big check from PlayStation up front, <v Speaker 2>maybe we'll just take the co marketing deal for a <v Speaker 2>lot less money and we'll just sell it everywhere because <v Speaker 2>we think that's better for the health of these games <v Speaker 2>long term. <v Speaker 3>Right, Yeah, I think long looking at it long term, <v Speaker 3>I think people already have that expectation or that odd <v Speaker 3>association that modern Final Fantasy games are associated with the PlayStation, <v Speaker 3>but knowing as if you were a console owner and <v Speaker 3>only at an Xbox, Like, yeah, sure the PS five <v Speaker 3>branding is big on those commercials, but I can still <v Speaker 3>get those games. <v Speaker 1>Then that's a win win for Square yep. <v Speaker 2>And I mean this change is happening in the middle <v Speaker 2>of the Final Fantasy seven remake trilogy being released, do <v Speaker 2>you think? <v Speaker 1>I mean, I don't. <v Speaker 2>I think the deal for Final Fantasy seven Part three <v Speaker 2>and have they not stand for that yet? <v Speaker 1>Maybe they haven't. <v Speaker 2>That one I think could launch an Xbox at the <v Speaker 2>very least, though, someone and Chat points out that should <v Speaker 2>just launch on PC day and day right. <v Speaker 1>Oh, one hundred percent. <v Speaker 3>God, I would have preferred that, just so I can <v Speaker 3>play it on my Steam deck. Everything it seemed feels <v Speaker 3>like a no brainer. With Final Fantasies sixteen headed to <v Speaker 3>PC later this year, I have to assume that it's <v Speaker 3>headed to the Xbox as well. <v Speaker 2>Game specifically, Yes, again, the Final Fantasy seven stuff's a <v Speaker 2>little bit weirder, but I don't I don't think that <v Speaker 2>that deals in in perpetuity. So maybe one day Final <v Speaker 2>Fantasy seven remit could still end up on Xbox. But <v Speaker 2>as far as sixteen is concerned, yeah, that that'll head <v Speaker 2>to Xbox at some point. <v Speaker 1>Yeah. <v Speaker 3>I'm ready for sixteen to get another wave of people <v Speaker 3>checking it out, because I feel like a lot of <v Speaker 3>people are poop pooing on it when it came out <v Speaker 3>just because of how much it varied from the core series. <v Speaker 3>But I still enjoyed it. I still think it's one <v Speaker 3>of the better Kingdom Hearts games I think. <v Speaker 2>And I think there's by putting in an audiences that <v Speaker 2>don't normally see these games necessarily like Xbox, I think, yeah, <v Speaker 2>they can come in with different expectations and maybe the <v Speaker 2>game will hit harder with that audience than it did <v Speaker 2>the traditional Final Fantasy audience. <v Speaker 3>I have to assume that Microsoft is taking the tempt <v Speaker 3>and seeing the success of Final Fantasy fourteen on Xbox <v Speaker 3>and is Wow on Xbox yet? <v Speaker 1>No? <v Speaker 2>And I mean I know that, you know, Mike's a <v Speaker 2>big wild guy. He whenever I bring this up, he's like, yeah, <v Speaker 2>that's kind of a crazy idea, just that it seems like, <v Speaker 2>you know, you know, Final Fantasy fourteen at a certain <v Speaker 2>point built for controller and Warcraft would have to be <v Speaker 2>completely reworked. But it's like I know, in the last year, <v Speaker 2>we did a story about the person in charge of <v Speaker 2>who I was saying, Yeah, it's something that we talk <v Speaker 2>about all the time, and of course we talk about it, <v Speaker 2>and maybe we talk about it even more these days. <v Speaker 2>So now just that still doesn't sound like and it's <v Speaker 2>something we're actively working on. But the conversation does have happen. <v Speaker 2>And I don't think it's impossible to rework that game <v Speaker 2>to be on console. It would just be cumbersome. It'd <v Speaker 2>be a lot of radio menus every time, like all <v Speaker 2>these shoulder buttons would just bring up different radio menus <v Speaker 2>probably and you'd have to like get pretty good at <v Speaker 2>navigating that. But hey whatever, and you could plug a <v Speaker 2>keyboard and mouse into your Xbox these days in any <v Speaker 2>game and it just works, so you know, as long <v Speaker 2>as the game recognized as the keyboard and mouse. So yeah, <v Speaker 2>I don't think this is something that is off the <v Speaker 2>table long term. I think they wow's not going anywhere. <v Speaker 2>It still makes a ton of money, and I think <v Speaker 2>that they probably will consider this more in the future. <v Speaker 3>It surprisingly had a pretty big presence at Games Calm <v Speaker 3>as well, Like a decent chunk of the Xbox booth <v Speaker 3>was dedicated to a World of Warcraft. I don't know <v Speaker 3>if we mentioned it this past BombCast, but they had <v Speaker 3>a VR World of Warcraft roller coaster type of deal, <v Speaker 3>like you'd see in a mall or something. Sure, and <v Speaker 3>it was actually really well done. <v Speaker 1>Is that the thing that Mikey was on it was <v Speaker 1>a writing was scream I like that. <v Speaker 3>Yeah, it was pretty fun. They synced up the fans <v Speaker 3>and everything. It was really cool. And then they took <v Speaker 3>videos of everyone and it is the most unflattering thing <v Speaker 3>video of everyone I've ever seen. <v Speaker 2>So except Mike Manatty. He looked like just joyous. He's <v Speaker 2>having so much fun. <v Speaker 1>Yep. Absolutely, all right, let's take a quick break. <v Speaker 2>When we'd come back a lot more news, including maybe <v Speaker 2>a new astrobat game. <v Speaker 1>No, not Astrobot one. <v Speaker 2>After that, right after this, all right, we are back <v Speaker 2>and let's get into it. Astrobot two hinted at and <v Speaker 2>PlayStation five platinum trophy description. This is from Liam Croft <v Speaker 2>at Push Square ahead of its PS five release next week. <v Speaker 2>The trophy list for Astrobot has been posted to XO <v Speaker 2>phase and what is noteworthy is the platinum trophy description <v Speaker 2>earned all trophies, well done and see you in Astro's <v Speaker 2>next Sure, so will Astrobot to be out before the <v Speaker 2>end of the PS five generation. That's a question to ponder. Now, Look, <v Speaker 2>I think this is really meaning that it's just like <v Speaker 2>no astro Well, like, we made this game and see <v Speaker 2>you next time. <v Speaker 1>Have you ever said have you in your life? <v Speaker 2>Have you ever said see you next time to somebody <v Speaker 2>and you never saw them again? That happens too, right, <v Speaker 2>So I hope yeah, And I think I'll say this <v Speaker 2>at least jan that I think Astrobot has that chance <v Speaker 2>to break out that I've been mentioning, and I think <v Speaker 2>we will get a lot more astro before Sony gets <v Speaker 2>bored of it and let's it drop off or something <v Speaker 2>like that, like this is the start of an astro <v Speaker 2>renaissance and astroisance. <v Speaker 1>Oh, one hundred percent. <v Speaker 3>This is where Sony your PlayStation comes back and is like, hey, <v Speaker 3>we need a fucking. <v Speaker 1>Mascot to leave. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, this is a great one. <v Speaker 3>Yeah, Like, hey, your PS five is just full of <v Speaker 3>these little dudes. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, exactly. <v Speaker 3>Yeah, I I one hundred percent think they should lean <v Speaker 3>into it the language of like we'll show you're good. <v Speaker 3>I don't think that immediately means we're gonna get an <v Speaker 3>astrobot too, but that astrobot will play a bigger. <v Speaker 1>Role across the PlayStation. Yeah. I don't know. <v Speaker 3>Maybe they changed like the beginning splash screens when PlayStation <v Speaker 3>is there, and they just kind of like Pixar or <v Speaker 3>FYAT where like the Astrobots like peek out of the <v Speaker 3>PS five logo or whatever, that'd be cool. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, I mean it's and it's just you know, see <v Speaker 1>you in Astro's Next Adventure. It is sort. <v Speaker 2>Of it is like a promise a little bit. I <v Speaker 2>get that they're what they're like how people read this, <v Speaker 2>and I think that they that is probably how they <v Speaker 2>intend it. But I don't think that means there's anything <v Speaker 2>concrete right now. If this studio is going to make <v Speaker 2>another game right now, though, I do think it'll probably <v Speaker 2>be still be an Astro game. Yeah, at a certain point, <v Speaker 2>why not. They seem to like making them. I think <v Speaker 2>they offer a strong canvas for creativity. So and every time, <v Speaker 2>you know, when we talked to was it Nico Dusse, <v Speaker 2>It is this the name of the guy. We've talked <v Speaker 2>to him a little bit at Summer Game Fest. Ben <v Speaker 2>just did a really good rapid interview with them on <v Speaker 2>on over there on min Max. People should go watch that. <v Speaker 2>He seems to be kind of like super into the <v Speaker 2>stuff that they're working on. And I hope that that <v Speaker 2>is indicative of how the whole team feels and that <v Speaker 2>they really are saying see you in Astra's next adventure. <v Speaker 2>Because they were like, we want to do more of these. <v Speaker 2>That's how I'm reading this, and I think that is <v Speaker 2>a reasonable expectation that they want to do more. <v Speaker 3>Here's a Sony PlayStation. Keep the check book out still <v Speaker 3>address it to jan and Ahoah and. <v Speaker 1>Jeff Greb take the tech from Ratchet and Clank. God, <v Speaker 1>what was the last one that came out? Rift Apart? <v Speaker 3>Rift Apart where you are going through the rifts, but <v Speaker 3>is just different PlayStation games and you're just astro yep. <v Speaker 2>I mean, that's a very good idea, because the idea <v Speaker 2>of like right now, right now, what they're doing is, oh, <v Speaker 2>there's a lot of little astrobot guys that look like <v Speaker 2>characters from other games, and you rescue him. <v Speaker 1>That's what this game. <v Speaker 2>The plot of the game is having anything where you <v Speaker 2>actually go into some of those games. <v Speaker 1>I think that could be fantastic. <v Speaker 2>As well, as long as they all sto just played <v Speaker 2>like Astro. <v Speaker 1>I don't want to. <v Speaker 3>Turn into from me Astro dipping into the world of <v Speaker 3>Jack two. <v Speaker 1>So now Astro has a gun. <v Speaker 3>Yeah, and then Astro is in a stealth level, so <v Speaker 3>it's like Cooper in a level. <v Speaker 1>And then like, oh, whoa, what's this. There's two Astros. <v Speaker 1>Now it's cookies and cream. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, that you mentioned Ratchet Kimbot is that other one <v Speaker 2>of the other games I was talking about that just <v Speaker 2>came out. That's from the Pumpkin Jack guy, the guy <v Speaker 2>that made the Pumpkin Jack, which is like mid medieval. <v Speaker 2>And then this one is like Ratchet and it looks great. <v Speaker 2>I haven't played it yet, but it looks very good. Also, <v Speaker 2>who was in Chads Cyrus Ravens said Astro too will <v Speaker 2>be an extraction shooter and that made me laugh. <v Speaker 1>So very good stuff. <v Speaker 3>But also we I feel like this is kind of <v Speaker 3>capitalizing off of like the language we've seen in Marvel <v Speaker 3>movies of like Manill exactly, Yes, and it's. <v Speaker 2>There's been examples of that where it's like you know, <v Speaker 2>that doesn't always pan out right with the promises they <v Speaker 2>make there most of the time it does. I get <v Speaker 2>the implication of what they're going for here, and I agree, <v Speaker 2>and I think the reality comes down to if this <v Speaker 2>game performs, we will get more. Absolutely and I ever, <v Speaker 2>it feels like this thing has a tailwind that is <v Speaker 2>pushing it forward. The people are in the mood for <v Speaker 2>this game. It looks super high quality. It's unlike a <v Speaker 2>lot of other stuff you can get on the PS five. <v Speaker 2>I just everything is going its way. So with all <v Speaker 2>of those factors being true, if I kind of feels <v Speaker 2>like game, better perform, it better do well. <v Speaker 1>Now what does that mean? <v Speaker 2>I to me, it means anything north of five million <v Speaker 2>copies and we're doing pretty good. My dream scenario is <v Speaker 2>ten million copies. That's like that is earth shattering for that. <v Speaker 2>But I don't think that's I don't think that's reasonable, <v Speaker 2>a reasonable expectation, and I hope that was never an <v Speaker 2>expectation at Sony. I don't think it was, but who <v Speaker 2>knows how these companies think. At the very least, I <v Speaker 2>think this game will come out and establish itself very firmly. <v Speaker 2>As now, this is Sony's new mascot, and I think <v Speaker 2>that'll be great. Yeah, all right, let's see here, keep <v Speaker 2>moving on along here. Marathon's director has been fired after <v Speaker 2>inappropriate behavior, and that's been alleged against them. I'm going <v Speaker 2>to say that to cover our own asses. Just over <v Speaker 2>two years ago, Sony bought the former Microsoft's owned developer, Bungie, <v Speaker 2>which has given a lot of autonomy, which was given <v Speaker 2>a lot of autonomy within the company shortly after a <v Speaker 2>new Marathon was announced, and Bungie seemed to be a <v Speaker 2>huge addition for Sony. Then Destiny's problems began to mount, <v Speaker 2>with leaders defecting in droves and, according to consistent, consistent reports, <v Speaker 2>a very bad atmosphere while financial estimates were falling. The <v Speaker 2>last year has seen mostly negative reports about Bungie, so <v Speaker 2>it's perhaps not surprising that is now time for not one, <v Speaker 2>but two strikes. Bloomberg journalist Jason Schreyer reports that at <v Speaker 2>least eight female and Bungee employees have reported Marathon director <v Speaker 2>Chris Barrett for inappropriate behavior, including calling lower level female <v Speaker 2>employees attractive, asking them to play truth or dare, and <v Speaker 2>made references to his wealth and power within the studio. <v Speaker 2>Which suggested to those female employees that he could help <v Speaker 2>advance their careers. This has now led to Barrett being fired. <v Speaker 2>As if it wasn't bad enough that Marathon has lost <v Speaker 2>its director, The admittedly reliable journalist Tom Henderson writes on <v Speaker 2>social media that Marathon is so cooked and says he's <v Speaker 2>heard more. Yeah, I mean right, just don't we know this, <v Speaker 2>don't do this. I'm constantly baffled how we get in <v Speaker 2>situations where people get a little bit of power and think, <v Speaker 2>all right, now it's time to use this to my <v Speaker 2>own personal advantage in a very peculiar and intimate way. <v Speaker 2>And it's always wrong. It's so obviously always wrong. <v Speaker 1>Now. <v Speaker 2>I know people don't necessarily always see their own power dynamics, <v Speaker 2>but I know for a fact, because I work at <v Speaker 2>a corporation, that you're trained to see those power dynamics <v Speaker 2>and recognize them, and the fact that you still try <v Speaker 2>to take advantage of them is just it's always a <v Speaker 2>bad look. And yeah, fire the guy, get rid of them. <v Speaker 1>We don't need them. <v Speaker 3>Yeah, yeah, there's nothing else to be said about that. <v Speaker 1>Dude's a piece of shit. Dude, this comebag. <v Speaker 3>Absolutely, if you are in any type of power where <v Speaker 3>you act as a manager or you oversee a team <v Speaker 3>of people or even just one person. <v Speaker 1>Hey, don't be a piece of shit. Yep. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, And it's like yeah, but clearly as people playing <v Speaker 2>out a chat piece of shit beforehand. <v Speaker 1>But it's like once you. <v Speaker 2>Have the power to like there's a situation where like <v Speaker 2>employees dating each other is like, well we. <v Speaker 1>Can like okay, that's that seems fine. <v Speaker 2>But as soon as you become a manager, like there <v Speaker 2>is it comes the power damics come into play, and <v Speaker 2>that makes it a problem for everybody. And it's just <v Speaker 2>like I don't know if there's any good way to <v Speaker 2>navigate that, Like I'm going to give space for human <v Speaker 2>beings being human beings at a company. But once you <v Speaker 2>are like, hey, I have power, and now I'm going <v Speaker 2>to try to say if I'm going to say you <v Speaker 2>look pretty to someone who works for me, No way, <v Speaker 2>there's no world in which like that we can make <v Speaker 2>that makes sense because it's just going to lead to <v Speaker 2>situations where people feel uncomfortable all the time. <v Speaker 1>Yeah. <v Speaker 3>Yeah, No matter like how much you try and flatten <v Speaker 3>a workplace environment, there is still some type of hierarchy <v Speaker 3>in the back end. No matter what type of environment <v Speaker 3>you've cultivated, so you just can't do that. <v Speaker 1>Ye if it's. <v Speaker 3>Employee to employee, sure do y'all's thing. But if it's <v Speaker 3>like someone in a managerial position or other higher position <v Speaker 3>making comments or making advances to someone lower than no <v Speaker 3>bueno dog. <v Speaker 4>This specifically gets covered in HR training like this exact example, <v Speaker 4>like all the things he was doing here get covered <v Speaker 4>like they just have reenactors acting it out and it's like, <v Speaker 4>what should you do here? <v Speaker 2>It's like, well, not that and everything. It's like, I'm <v Speaker 2>just clicking the button I know not to do that. <v Speaker 2>Chris Barret could use a little bit more of that, apparently, <v Speaker 2>And honestly, no, he could just use getting fuck out <v Speaker 2>of here, Just get out. <v Speaker 1>We don't need to put up with this. Yeah, we don't. <v Speaker 1>Just get the hell out. <v Speaker 3>Go go somewhere else and stay there, and then I <v Speaker 3>hope you get kicked out of there as well. I <v Speaker 3>also feel terrible for the folks involved with marathon, just <v Speaker 3>because it is already an uphill battle and having people <v Speaker 3>like this at the top does not make anything easier. <v Speaker 2>That's right, you know, it depletes morale and people will <v Speaker 2>you need a certain amount of energy to come into <v Speaker 2>work and give their best on any of these things. <v Speaker 2>And I'm I would not be expecting anyone to do <v Speaker 2>that if they're if they're like looking around and seeing <v Speaker 2>a boss treating people this way. Let alone the fact <v Speaker 2>that Marathon Extraction Shooter is going to face all kinds <v Speaker 2>of complications just because it's really hard to make one <v Speaker 2>of those games. So yeah, yeah, hey whatever, I've honestly <v Speaker 2>never really cared about Marathon all that much. I don't <v Speaker 2>I'm not gonna care about it in this situation when <v Speaker 2>there's real people dealing with real assholes at the workplace. <v Speaker 2>But yeah, they're gonna have to figure that out, and <v Speaker 2>a lot of people's livelihoods will depend on that, because, <v Speaker 2>as we talked about with a bunch of stuff, the <v Speaker 2>future Bungie and its ability to continue to make games <v Speaker 2>that people want them to make greatly depends on one <v Speaker 2>the destiny too, stuff that is going to be reduced <v Speaker 2>but continuing to perform, and Marathon has to hit. And <v Speaker 2>that game was supposed to come out this year, I <v Speaker 2>guess originally. Now it's scheduled for twenty twenty five, and <v Speaker 2>we'll see if that comes through. <v Speaker 3>Even if it even if it does hit grub. I <v Speaker 3>just don't know how long the hit will be able <v Speaker 3>to last and sustain it? <v Speaker 2>Right, yeah, I mean is again to be a different <v Speaker 2>audience and what's playing Destiny? Is that what you're going for? <v Speaker 2>Or do you have to extract some of the Destiny <v Speaker 2>audience over here extract for Marathon to keep that game? <v Speaker 1>I don't. I don't know. <v Speaker 3>It's funny night, completely different game, but like the finals, <v Speaker 3>like blew up last year and really dominated a lot <v Speaker 3>of my time playing games on the PC. But after <v Speaker 3>that in a wave, I have not checked it out. <v Speaker 3>I've not thought to redownload it or whatever. If anything, <v Speaker 3>I've thought about downloading Titan Fall two again. <v Speaker 1>Yes, I have that constantly installed now, all right. <v Speaker 2>Riyogu Katoku Studio is hosting a presentation next month. Riyoga <v Speaker 2>Kotoku Studio is set to hold an online presentation at <v Speaker 2>September the RGG Summit twenty twenty four stream, which it's <v Speaker 2>expected will include news about Ryogo Kutoku's upcoming titles, and <v Speaker 2>it will be broadcast on September twentieth at three am <v Speaker 2>Pacific time, six am Eastern eleven am BST. <v Speaker 1>Jan Let's get up, Let's cover it, let's go, let's <v Speaker 1>do it three. Okay, all right. <v Speaker 2>The like of Dragon Studios yet to announce what will <v Speaker 2>appear at the show. The studio recently claimed that its <v Speaker 2>next title will be revealed at the Tokyo Game Show <v Speaker 2>twenty twenty four. This would put that like about a <v Speaker 2>week up before TGS, so maybe a teaser there, or <v Speaker 2>maybe they announce it here and show it off at <v Speaker 2>a Tokyo Game Show, and that's what they always meant. <v Speaker 2>According to a recent live stream from the studio, its <v Speaker 2>next title will be revealed yeah at TGS. No further <v Speaker 2>information is known about that game or which franchise the <v Speaker 2>game will be from Tokyo. Tokyo Game Show twenty twenty <v Speaker 2>four will take place in blah blah blah. Yeah we <v Speaker 2>saw that, not leaked, but like the filing legal filing <v Speaker 2>for what was it, Yakuza Tactics Yakazu here the Wars <v Speaker 2>Yakuza Wars thank you, and yeah, yeah, that seems like <v Speaker 2>that could pop up here. Who knows, could be something <v Speaker 2>else as well, but the very least, I'm at a <v Speaker 2>point with RGG where I know we're in between the <v Speaker 2>big main entries on this, and yet I'm still very <v Speaker 2>curious about what they're what they're doing because the spinoffs, <v Speaker 2>some of the spinoffs I've dabbled with a little bit. <v Speaker 2>I played one of the Eastan games a little bit. <v Speaker 1>Oh man, I just I just lost access to my Plucky. <v Speaker 2>Squire preview build. <v Speaker 1>Let's enjoy that. <v Speaker 2>Let's let's team pop up just happened in front of me. Oh, <v Speaker 2>it's been removed from your account. <v Speaker 1>All right, Well, I guess I'll just wait for it <v Speaker 1>to come out now. <v Speaker 2>That was fun, though, I'm gonna play with RGG where <v Speaker 2>I am curious about everything they're. <v Speaker 1>Doing, so I will be tuning into this, how about you? <v Speaker 1>One percent? <v Speaker 3>I feel like they've been really on a They've been <v Speaker 3>on such a good run with all their releases lately <v Speaker 3>that I'm super curious to see what is coming next <v Speaker 3>from the studio, especially with how they may try and <v Speaker 3>reimagine a genre that they're diving into. I feel like <v Speaker 3>they've really done a lot of good work with like <v Speaker 3>turn based combat, so I'm curious to see how they'll <v Speaker 3>adapt it. My heart wants tactics, but if they want <v Speaker 3>to give me a freaking RTS, I trust them. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, I mean, I think when we talked about it <v Speaker 2>last time, the one I settled my heart on is <v Speaker 2>all of the what's their pokemon thing called all the <v Speaker 2>Freaks to Jamon Yeah, stujimon, Yeah, having Stuji mind having <v Speaker 2>all the freaks battle one another on a playfield and <v Speaker 2>having positioning matter. <v Speaker 1>I would love that. That would be great. So kind <v Speaker 1>of hope maybe that's what it is. <v Speaker 3>Also, yeah, you know what, I'll wake up at three <v Speaker 3>am to do this. Let's do it, okay, hell yeah, party, I'll. <v Speaker 1>Send us to TGS. Someone bring us to TGS. Yeah. <v Speaker 2>I mean to be clear, the reason that the crew <v Speaker 2>was able to go to games Com is games Come <v Speaker 2>invited us and help pay for it. <v Speaker 1>And it's like that's the. <v Speaker 2>Kind of thing where it's like very easy to say <v Speaker 2>yes too, because it's not like our coverages of games Com. <v Speaker 2>We cover the things that are at games Com, so <v Speaker 2>there's never any conflict there. If Tokyo Game Show wants <v Speaker 2>to do the same thing, hell yeah, absolutely, yeah, make <v Speaker 2>it makes sense for us. I need more jeans, I <v Speaker 2>need I need a lot of things from Japan, is <v Speaker 2>what I'm realizing that they just they when they have things, <v Speaker 2>they just don't stop doing them until they perfect it, <v Speaker 2>and I'm like, okay, I need some more of that <v Speaker 2>in my life. I also really want to go to <v Speaker 2>a Japanese convenience store as a someone who really appreciates <v Speaker 2>convenience stores. I really that's like my thing I need. <v Speaker 2>I know that I've never actually experienced the Pinnacle, so <v Speaker 2>I need to do that. <v Speaker 1>Jeff Grubb, I I want to be there for that. Yeah, <v Speaker 1>hell yeah, I want you there. <v Speaker 2>I know you'll see it in my eyes and how <v Speaker 2>it would be like when we went to Disney and <v Speaker 2>I was on the Rise of the Resistance ride or <v Speaker 2>whatever it was. <v Speaker 1>Or yeah, yeah, that'd be very good. <v Speaker 2>All right, A handful more stories here. The Legend of <v Speaker 2>Zelda animated series is re releasing on DVD. This is <v Speaker 2>from Darren Bontus at GameSpot. The Legend of Zelda's a <v Speaker 2>live action movie adaptation isn't releasing anytime soon. I forgot <v Speaker 2>that that was happening for a second. But at least <v Speaker 2>the cartoon series is being reprinted on DVD. Yes, we <v Speaker 2>were surprised to stumble upon this too, but the complete <v Speaker 2>thirteen episode run will be available on a shiny, unscratched <v Speaker 2>disc on October twenty second, you can get the complete <v Speaker 2>series for about fourteen dollars thirteen dollars. <v Speaker 1>And fifty nine cents. Never a great show. I liked <v Speaker 1>it as a kid. It is. <v Speaker 2>It is a fun thing though, because I got a <v Speaker 2>lot of the Mario ones that they've done on DVD <v Speaker 2>because I have the DVD player in the van, and <v Speaker 2>the kids will sometimes watch those and sometimes get very <v Speaker 2>into it, and I'm like, I'm always like, there's a <v Speaker 2>Zelda one of these as well, and they've won watch <v Speaker 2>me plays Elda. They don't really play Zeld themselves, so <v Speaker 2>they've been curious about that. So I'll get this for <v Speaker 2>the van, like thirteen bucks, no problem. But and if <v Speaker 2>people were wondering, yeah, you've seen this on DVD before. <v Speaker 2>It's been out of print for a while, so this <v Speaker 2>is mostly just a new printing of the Legend of <v Speaker 2>Zelda cartoon series. <v Speaker 1>So hey, yeah, I'll show up for that. Sounds good. <v Speaker 2>Next story. Concerned Ape gives update on stardew Valley one <v Speaker 2>point six port on consoles and mobile This is from <v Speaker 2>Adida Chugue ad Dual Shockers. Stardu Valley players who play <v Speaker 2>on consoles and mobile devices have been missing out on <v Speaker 2>the game's latest one point six update experience for months. <v Speaker 2>Addressing the same concerned ape, the game's creator has revealed <v Speaker 2>how far along the process supporting the update to these <v Speaker 2>devices has come, sharing it on their official Twitter handle, <v Speaker 2>The American game developer Developer revealed how porting the STARDUW <v Speaker 2>Value one point six update to other platforms apart from <v Speaker 2>PC has been their main concern for a while now <v Speaker 2>and will be rolled out as soon as possible. Additionally, <v Speaker 2>the developer revisited how they have put aside the Haunted <v Speaker 2>Chocolate Tear project to fully dedicate themselves to porting Stardoo <v Speaker 2>Valley's latest version. So if you remember that before vaguely, <v Speaker 2>well that's still been the case for months now. They <v Speaker 2>are fully working on the STARDUW Valley update. The one <v Speaker 2>point six update, which came out for PC and March, <v Speaker 2>brings the game a lot of free content and significant <v Speaker 2>improvements that have been due out for some while. The <v Speaker 2>update also brings extended multiplayer support, allowing up to eight <v Speaker 2>players in a single session. And every time we think <v Speaker 2>about this, we've got to just play this game multiplayer sometimes. <v Speaker 1>Yeah. <v Speaker 2>Basically, what's happening here is he's just saying it's still happening, <v Speaker 2>it's still coming. It will probably be pretty soon. But <v Speaker 2>the reason it does there's a little bit of a <v Speaker 2>gap here is he explained that they tested on PC. <v Speaker 2>The PC version is like they know that audience is <v Speaker 2>a little bit more tolerant for things not being fully <v Speaker 2>done mostly done but not fully done, and that stuff <v Speaker 2>is now being like completely ironed out, and that makes <v Speaker 2>this thing more ready for consoles, and they're in the <v Speaker 2>process of like figuring that final part out. But you know, <v Speaker 2>I think at certain day mostly still just this one guy, <v Speaker 2>so that these things are just going to take time. <v Speaker 3>Right yeah, I, Hey, buddy, take all the time in <v Speaker 3>the world you need, because I'm just suddenly finding out <v Speaker 3>this game many years too late, and I'm enjoying all <v Speaker 3>of it so far. <v Speaker 2>You were like a debating go and Fields a Mystery <v Speaker 2>and you decided to do this instead, Right Yeah. <v Speaker 1>I enjoyed like a couple hours of Field of Mystery <v Speaker 1>that I played. <v Speaker 3>But then I thought, well, you know, let's go back <v Speaker 3>to what inspired this, So I went all the way <v Speaker 3>back to Harvest Moon. No, I didn't actually do that, <v Speaker 3>but with all the Quality of Life updates, that Stardu has, <v Speaker 3>and then all of the resources available for Stardo right now, <v Speaker 3>and if I need people the backseat game and help <v Speaker 3>me with my farm, it seems like there are more <v Speaker 3>resources available there. Also, the multiplayer thing that we eventually <v Speaker 3>should check out. <v Speaker 2>Is very entire in Barry enticing, it seems sounds like <v Speaker 2>a very good time all right, last story here, Sonic <v Speaker 2>Team Boss says Shadow is quote not Vegeta in any <v Speaker 2>way and is quote not friends with Sonic. This is <v Speaker 2>from my Nintendo News Sonic Team Boss at Shadow the <v Speaker 2>Hedgehog's creator, Takashi Izka has revealed in an interview that <v Speaker 2>he's fed up with people comparing Shadow to Dragon Ball's <v Speaker 2>dark hero Vegeta. Speaking to the site, Isako informed them <v Speaker 2>that Shadow the Hedgehog is his favorite Sonic character due <v Speaker 2>to the tragic backstory behind him, which trying not to <v Speaker 2>laugh relate to, which takes the confers of character both <v Speaker 2>interesting and compelling, also a quote. The interview then asked <v Speaker 2>Isica if Sonic fans have interpreted Shadow in a different <v Speaker 2>way over the years than how he originally expected or intended. <v Speaker 2>Here's what he had to say, so, yes, there are <v Speaker 2>some ways that people interpret Shadow that are not how <v Speaker 2>I how the team is intending. I think the biggest <v Speaker 2>one is if you look online, everyone's like, oh, this <v Speaker 2>is Dragonball vegeta. Vegeta really starts out as an enemy <v Speaker 2>and then later becomes a friend and an ally and <v Speaker 2>kind of like fights for justice and trying to save <v Speaker 2>the world and whatnot. Shadow is not like that. I <v Speaker 2>never want him to be like that. Shadow is doing <v Speaker 2>his own thing. He's not friends with Sonic and he's <v Speaker 2>going gonna go off and you know, do whatever he <v Speaker 2>feels is correct or right or what he needs to do. <v Speaker 2>And it's not like, well, okay, we used to be enemies, <v Speaker 2>but we're friends now, let's save the world. He's not <v Speaker 2>that kind of character, and I don't want him to <v Speaker 2>be that kind of character. So people are always online saying, oh, <v Speaker 2>it's vegeta, it's vegeta. It's like, it's like, it's not vegeta, <v Speaker 2>and then he laughs, so. <v Speaker 3>Hey, it's okay, buddy, It's being a real vegeta though, <v Speaker 3>am I right? <v Speaker 2>Come on, come on. <v Speaker 1>Being a real vegeta right now. <v Speaker 3>Just let people ship how they want to ship and <v Speaker 3>cast how they want to cast. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, And there there's character archetypes and story tropes. <v Speaker 1>Let him just do it. <v Speaker 3>I was Numbals has become Piccolos has always been krilling exactly. <v Speaker 2>I remember like reading old Star Wars Extended Universe novels, <v Speaker 2>and that was like reading these at the same time <v Speaker 2>as watching Dragon ball Z. And I remember like reading <v Speaker 2>a character arc of like Boba Fett having like, Oh, <v Speaker 2>here's my code that I always stick to, and sometimes <v Speaker 2>I will do the right thing, and I'll surprise you <v Speaker 2>by doing the right thing. That's I'm like, this bitch <v Speaker 2>is so vegeta right now, Like I'm sticking it like <v Speaker 2>back then. So that's It's just what people say when <v Speaker 2>when a character who's typically viewed as like originally as hey, <v Speaker 2>that's the big bad, and now he's shifted enough that <v Speaker 2>he had sometimes aligned with the good guys. That's what <v Speaker 2>a vegeta is. What's the uh the vampire on Buffy, <v Speaker 2>the Vampire Slayer that did that? <v Speaker 1>Eventually? <v Speaker 4>Which one right, the blond one? The Spike, Yes, Spike, <v Speaker 4>fuck Spike, it's all about Angel. <v Speaker 1>Excuse me? <v Speaker 2>We can we can just start calling these spikes instead <v Speaker 2>of vegetas. Would that be better? <v Speaker 1>I think we could do that that's probably better. <v Speaker 3>Probably better because Angel is a superior love interest for Buddy. <v Speaker 1>Right. <v Speaker 2>Well, yeah, Angel's more complicated, right, He's got more going on. <v Speaker 3>There than exactly Angelous. Come on, y'all, he was the <v Speaker 3>first vampire with a soul. David brianne Is could have <v Speaker 3>been Batman. What a world we could have lived in. <v Speaker 3>I loved Buffy the Vampire Slayer. I've never really watched Angel, yo. <v Speaker 3>Let me tell you. Part of the reason why I <v Speaker 3>love Angel is because I had recorded two episodes of <v Speaker 3>it on VHS and then our cable went out for <v Speaker 3>like a month. Oh just watch those and over. <v Speaker 1>Yes. I did. <v Speaker 3>Charisma Carpenter fantastic in the really terrible How Cordy Got Dealt. <v Speaker 3>I think Wesley is a terrible character. They should wait, <v Speaker 3>I'm getting the characters confused now. I'm just so worked <v Speaker 3>up about Angel. I'm shoot hot right now about Angel. <v Speaker 3>Part of the reason I also really like David Brianna's <v Speaker 3>is because he represents the Big Forehead Crew like myself <v Speaker 3>and re. <v Speaker 1>Shout outs to y'all. <v Speaker 2>I know I shouldn't speak on as as the president <v Speaker 2>of the Little Forehead Crew, but shout outs to y'all. Yeah, <v Speaker 2>I also watched I saw the TV Glow, which is <v Speaker 2>very inspired by Buffy. But I also so I was <v Speaker 2>watching him like, is that fucking it's a spoiler. <v Speaker 1>I'm not gonna say it. <v Speaker 2>We'll just go watch the go watch the movie everybody. <v Speaker 2>So it was a cool moment, so I won't spoil it. <v Speaker 2>All right, let's see here poll question. Let me get <v Speaker 2>that up for everybody that's right over here. <v Speaker 3>Uh. <v Speaker 1>While I'm doing that, Jan, do we have anything happening <v Speaker 1>on the website today that people should know about? Yes, <v Speaker 1>yes we do. <v Speaker 3>Later today we will have the voicemail dump truck featuring <v Speaker 3>the og driver himself. Ben Packers is also jumping on <v Speaker 3>the dump truck as well. Uh, just so our boys <v Speaker 3>can get ready for packs. Also packs. This weekend, Jeff Grubb, <v Speaker 3>we have two panels. We have a Blake Club panel <v Speaker 3>happening on Sunday as well as a BombCast for re <v Speaker 3>Vengeance popping off on Saturday. We want, I want to <v Speaker 3>say both will now be streamed. That's the last we've <v Speaker 3>heard is that they're both streaming, but we will we <v Speaker 3>will update y'all. Check out the Blake Club new season <v Speaker 3>of Blake Club that happened started yesterday alone in the <v Speaker 3>Mitch Best Name ever. <v Speaker 1>Yep, very good. <v Speaker 3>That was a lot of fun. That was a good episode, <v Speaker 3>good time. I'm glad to have a blink button. Yeah, <v Speaker 3>and not in the no, not not in the blink way. No, <v Speaker 3>that's not G blink. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, yes, o G blink. Michael look good in that <v Speaker 1>jacket though. Yeah, absolutely he was wearing it. That yeah, <v Speaker 1>that Jack was not wearing him. <v Speaker 3>But later today before the dump truck, Jeff Grub, we <v Speaker 3>will have the first annual Giant Bomb Spelling Bee. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, we will. Huh. <v Speaker 2>I'm gonna help you SHOUTcast this thing. I'm gonna SHOUTcast <v Speaker 2>the spelling be I've always wanted to. <v Speaker 3>We've already had one dropout, Jeff Grubb. Really yeah, I'm <v Speaker 3>I'm not gonna say that. Emma five decided to drop <v Speaker 3>out because she's scared of Bailey Myers and Dan reichert war. <v Speaker 3>But you know, here, here's where we are. <v Speaker 1>Real shame, real sham. <v Speaker 2>I promise I'll be really respectful of her fear when <v Speaker 2>when I'm shoutcasting. <v Speaker 1>Don't worry. <v Speaker 3>I mean that being said, I am already scared of <v Speaker 3>m five constantly I'm scared. <v Speaker 2>Of everyone that is a part of the spelling bead <v Speaker 2>that like is because they're all taking it very seriously. <v Speaker 2>I'm getting shoot, like frightened of all of them and <v Speaker 2>their energy. <v Speaker 1>Yeah, I'm nicky. <v Speaker 3>I don't know if Nikki is saying they're not taking <v Speaker 3>it seriously or they are taking it seriously. <v Speaker 2>I think we'll find out once we're going live everybody, <v Speaker 2>but you won't won't want to miss that. <v Speaker 1>What time is that at again? <v Speaker 3>That should be popping off around eleven thirty Pacific today? <v Speaker 2>Okay, all right, it's about two thirty Eastern time everybody, <v Speaker 2>so yeah, tune in for that then. Yeah, voicemail dump <v Speaker 2>truck been pack well, a lot of fun stuff for <v Speaker 2>the rest of the week. All of them are going <v Speaker 2>to be doing UBF and all that tomorrow and again <v Speaker 2>no game mess mornings tomorrow I will be I will <v Speaker 2>literally be on a plane the time I should have <v Speaker 2>been doing this. So that's just how it goes sometimes, <v Speaker 2>all right, Pole question, I have the one from yesterday <v Speaker 2>right here. Do you wish that astrobot had a VR mode? <v Speaker 2>As we've heard those new stories like they won't, but <v Speaker 2>eighty percent are like our fine with that, they're like, no, <v Speaker 2>I wish it didn't have a VR mode, twenty percent <v Speaker 2>wish it did. So still you know one in five saying, hey, <v Speaker 2>that would be cool, and that's twenty percent. It's like <v Speaker 2>if all of them bought a VR Astrobot game might <v Speaker 2>make it make sense. But PSVR two is just not <v Speaker 2>doing well enough for them to do that. And as <v Speaker 2>you know Dus said when he was talking about it, <v Speaker 2>they did not make this game for VR in any way. <v Speaker 2>And if you played Rescue Mission, you know that they <v Speaker 2>can build games for VR and really take advantage of that. <v Speaker 2>All right, new pole question, do you think Konami will <v Speaker 2>really port Metal Gear solid for it to modern devices? <v Speaker 2>Yes or no?
