They asked kids who played different sports which ones had seen people lose get the most criticism of all the sports, the ones where the parents got the maddest.

Speaker 5: When I was in high school, we would play other high I didn't start playing tennis like for real until I was like a freshman in high school, so I was kind of behind everybody else, but I got pretty good by.

Speaker 5: Oftentimes we would play and I'd have to play against these kids like six and seventh grade who would play for their high school team, right, and they'd be good, but they were kids I could get in their brain. They'd be better than me, but I could outthink them because these kids, what would happen?

Speaker 5: He was better than me, he could hit it harder, but I dink it around and make him run and it would frustrate him, and then the kid's parents would yell at him. And then when that happened, the kid was done, and it made me sad for the kids. Oftentimes when it was over, I'd like put my arm around the kid and be like, hey, don't worry about it. You're good, You're in seventh grade. It's gonna be fine. But I would see these dads screaming at their kids. So tennis to me, Ryan is I'm not shucked at all.

So when I see people freaking out, it's just foreign to my existence, but I see it a lot. And then lastly, this one makes me sad. Fifteen percent of kids say their parents make them feel guilty or ashamed about their performance. I just find that.

In turn, I'm like, why are you quitting basketball after your sophomore year? You're good? You know, he wanted to walk away. I had I had to let it go. I had to just let it go. But it drove me crazy inside.

Larry is only a little bit of a sports fan, and my mom never cared. They were into music. So like for me, playing sports was like the opposite of them. They wanted me to like play the piano, and so I that was like I never had anybody like, no one really pushed me to sports, right, But you were the exact exact opposite.
