WWE RAW Review: Randy Orton vs Dirty Dom, Tag Team Turmoil Match, Shinsuke Nakamura Target Revealed, CM Punk Speaks

You can acknowledge me. All right, It's time to talk Mondayette Raw.
It took place from Nashville, Tennessee last night, and what a massive raw
it was. Considering the star power on the show and considering it felt like
a Monday night raw after WrestleMania really just had that vibe. Did it live
up to expectations as well? I think yes and no, And I think
there was some good things on the show, some disappointing things on the show,
frustrating things. I mean, it's a mixed bag as always, but
generally I was positive on the show. Is it just had that really fun
vibe for the first time in a long time. And we got punk,
we got Orton, we got Cody declaring himself the number one entrant, well
the first one to declare himself in the Royal Rumble, so that that was
a big deal. And as we shift our focus to the Royal Rumble,
there's a lot to look forward to, a lot of possibilities and a lot
of different matchups that we can take a look at us as coming down the

way to get rid of it. So let's get into Monday Night Raw.
As we again touched down a little bit here, but I want to dive
again into punk and I don't want to spend the whole show on punk.
I don't want to talk too much about it because I feel like the last
three shows I've done have been really heavily focused on punk, and rightfully so,
I mean, this is a massive monumental return. And by the way,
I will be attending Monday Night Raw next Monday Night in a very camera
prominent position, so keep a lookout for me. I may be annoying you
with the sign if I don't get it taken away by security, because last
time I got away with it, but this time I'm in an even more
camera prominent position and camera consistent position, which may lend itself to be annoying
to the home viewer and may get myself kicked out. Well my sign anyway,
not me but all right, well but Punk, let's just dive into
him quickly, and then we'll talk about Orton, We'll talk about the World
Everyweight Championship, We'll talk about Drew McIntyre cutting his head open on a headbutt,
which I always love when that happens, as long as everyone as long
as they're okay. I do love blood every once in a while in wrestling.
It just adds so much. But it was unintentional. And let's talk
about Punk so quickly. So CM Punk, we were advertised throughout the entire
night he's kind of have a live ROM microphone in his hand. He's going
to be here live, He's going to be talking. What does he have
to say? Because let's be honest, that is the biggest hook for Monday
Night Raw was what does cmpunk have to say after nearly ten years away?
What is his what are his thoughts? What's going on? You know?
And we finally get to it, which was at the end of the show,
and I understand why I originally heard that he was going to open the
show, you know, but given the fact that that was the big hook
for the show, you want to keep viewers engaged till the end. I
understand that I'm not complaining about it what soever, but Punk, really,
he didn't do badly on the mic at all. In fact, I enjoyed
his promo, But did it not feel super short? Did it not feel
like after ten years, that's all we get? And look, I know
what everyone's gonna say, Well, he has more time to talk. This
isn't his only opportunity or whatever the case or time management I heard Bruce Pritchard
is the one who is in charge of Raw and he mismanaged time. And
okay, let me run through these excuses. Number one, If Bruce Pritchard
is the one who is in charge of time management for Raw and the segments
before it ran too long, therefore eating up the end of the show and
not allowing Punk enough time to talk as much as he wanted to, then
shame on Bruce Prichard. And honestly, how do you screw that up?
I mean, not for the fact that it's not it's not easy to run
a three hour show with all these little nuggets in segments. Of course it's
not easy, but that should be a like, the sole focus of your
of your night is give Punk enough time to talk. That's what people are
here to see. To be honest, I mean, yes, Orton was
there, of course other people, but that was the biggest hook was what
to see him Punk have to say. And you cut him short? Okay,
that's one. Uh, that's one excuse for Punk's promo being so short,
which was about five minutes. And yeah, that's inexcusable for Bruce Richard.
I don't that's not a that's not a that's not an excuse for me.
Something of this magnitude. You can't screw that up. Sorry. Also,
if it's because well he has more time to talk, yeah he does.
Okay, even if he's here for a multi year deal. Here's the
thing. I understand that. But the first promo back is A is the
promo you want to hear. It's the one that solidifies yourself back in the
company. It's the one that people will remember. He'll have more promos down
the road, and he'll start to get engaged with wrestlers A or wrestler B.
To start a program that'll lead probably to a royal rumbo match. But
all we have to hear is five minutes. I mean, and that's the
other thing is number three. If this was designed to only be five minutes,
shame on creative for that. I mean, you're telling me ten years
of thoughts in his head and things that we could hear from Punk and we
get five minutes. Yeah, Now, like why I mean again, I
know he has time to talk down the line, but I want to hear
more about the stuff that you know was going through his mind while he was
away, or exactly why he's back, which apparently you know, well I
don't apparently know. I heard from his own mouth that he's there to make
money, not friends. Okay, fine, he didn't say that live on
the microphone. He said it to the camera. I have no problem with
that. That's fine with me. Doesn't doesn't bother me. But if that's
the case, if he's here to just make money, who I'm fine.
You know, he did say Punk. Punk did say that this was,
you know, kind of a cheesy thing to say, but he feels like
he's home. He said that the best in the world is back instanding in
the middle of the ring live and in living color in Nashville, and he
said that everybody has welcomed me with open arms, well almost everybody, I
think, alluding to Seth but didn't say him by name. And Punk said
that they're all afraid of he will set them, of setting the bar to
an unattainable level, and that he has the bar in his back brass.
I think he said the brass ring in his back pocket. He said,
some people are afraid that when they wake up tomorrow they will have come to
terms the fact that their best efforts to be the best in the ring,
best in the world in the ring, on the microphone and even on commentary
isn't just false, it's a lie because the best in the world is back
and standing in the middle of the ring, as I said, so basically
putting himself over is still saying he's the best in the world, which you
know, you don't just after ten years still have that title. That's a
continuously earning title. You don't just get it and keep it. Like Ronda
Rowsey calling herself the baddest woman on the planet when she hadn't had a MMA
match in like ten years, and she's still calling herself that it's it's you
know, it's kind of more than past its shelf life. But fine punk
wants to use that. It's what he's known by. Fine, But to
say that he's the best on commentary, I have my I could debate that,
is he the best on the microphone? I think John Cena has something
to say about that. Yeah, is he the best in the ring?
I think all whole plethora of guys have something to say about that. I
mean, it really was about putting himself over a little bit again, I'm
not crapping on the promo. He did a kind of a nice throwback to
the pipe on promo. He had kind of had, you know, talking
about in this ring, on this microphone, even on commentary, nobody can
touch me, remember that we all do. So it was a nice kind
of throwback. And it is kind of surreal looking at him in the ring,
thinking about all the times, all the years that have gone by that
you know he'll never come back, him crapping on the company all that,
and he you know, nobody attacked him, He didn't errupt anybody. So
we still don't know who his first opponent's going to be. I would hope
that it's revealed in the maybe next week selfishly because I'll be there, so
I don't know. I'm not exactly sure what the first matchup is going to
be. If it's Seth Rollins, I think that's jumping the gun a bit,
but I wouldn't hate it. It looks like there might be gearing up
for Seth Rollins versus Seam punket WrestleMania, So we'll see. But the shout
out to was cool too. You know, there was a massive chant for
aj Lee and that that was cool. You know, there was a moment
where we're thinking, wait, you say Jay here. Oh okay, never
mind, So okay, Well, I'm gonna kind of move on from punk
here because I'm kind of punked out a little bit. Not that I am
not gonna want to see him or interested to see what he says, but
just talking about him. It's been a bit exhaustive over the last few days
of just like everything is punk punk, punk, punk, punk punk,
this reaction, that reaction, you know, talking about what he's talking about.
So let's move on to another individual. And that is the beginning of
money Net Raw, And we did get Randy Orton and Randy Orton got a
massive pop. He said, like he said that the fan sounds like a
few of the fans missed him. He said, I'm back for as long
as I can stay here, meaning translation, until my body gives out.
I'm gonna do this, That's what that means. So I have the internal
desire that's going to forever be there, but my body's gonna tell me when
it's time. That's really what that was about. But he then, of
course sadly gave into the corporate mandate of welcoming us to mind a net raw
and then he received a welcome back chant and then Orton said that his time
away gave him some time to think. He said one thing he never had
a chance to do is compete in wargames. And he said that his quote
dear friend Cody Rhodes invited him to be in the match, and of course
he accepted. And which also makes you think, like, if Randy Orton
didn't get a call from Cody, was Orton just gonna sit on his ass
to get himself an incredible shape, but then just to sit there, you
know, But I digress. Orton also mentioned the match creator, Dusty Rhodes,
because of course we have to and said he was able to be a
part of history and make a moment. Orton said that's what it's all about.
But he also came back because he has unfinished business and said it's with
the Bloodline. Orton said he's made a career out of putting people on the
shelf and said he might be able to forgive, but he can't forget.
He said he had a bag full of receipts waiting for the Bloodline and emphasized
that he means every single member. Orton said those receipts will come in the
form of the three most dangerous letters in all of sports entertainment, which you
guys know what those are. And then Ree Ripley came out and she got
a pretty negative reaction, and she welcomed Norton back and then praised him at
Survivors Series, and she said she didn't think he would team of someone who
tried to end his career or have his long away to return upstaged and RhE
Ripley said that Orton doesn't seem to realize that the landscape has changed and that
a Survivor series is just a bump in the road, and she spoke about
the titles that the faction holds and said that if it wasn't for Orton,
Damian Priest would be the world heavyweight champion. Ripley said Orton came back and
made enemies, and she told him to stop focusing on the bloodline and said
that unlike the bloodline, the judgment day gets the job done. So Orton
then had the line of the Night, which you could put on T shirts
now and print thousands of them. Orton said that he watched the product for
a while while he was out and it was all mommy this and Mommy that,
and he said, well, guess what, Ria, daddy's back.
Another or not another who's your daddy? Chant came out, which was great.
Orton delivered it perfectly, and I actually was hoping he would r Ko
Ripley. But we all know why that can't happen, the invisible force field
of womanhood. But you know, that was still in the back of my
mind, like if Rihea attacks, if Ria attacks Randy, would he do
it? Let's hope so, but it it was a dominic mysterio and j
D attack from Morton from behind on Orton and JD was wearing a neck brace.
I like that he fought them off, and I think you know,
JD did get a r KO and dom slipped away, and then we got
an announcement of Randy and Dominic for the main event of Raw. All Right,
the Jelly Role do I even want to? I don't really care.
Who the hell is Jelly Roll? By the way, I've never seen that
dude in my life? Is that what Akira Taza is doing now? Is
is that a dance? Wait? Wait? What is that? I guess
it's oddly strangely entertaining. I I don't, but I also don't know who
the hell Jelly Role is. Is he some kind of country singer? Is
he? I'm not really I don't know. Anyway, we got a tag
team turmolo match. The winner gets a shot at the undisputed tag team titles.
This match felt like it was an hour long. I mean, it
felt super long. But that's not a bad thing, because we did get
a lot of really good wrestling, and specifically from the Creed brothers, who
I mean this this match was designed for them. Now, the and the
eliminations when as follows, the characters Allen Otis were eliminated by Johnny Gargano and
Tomaso Champa the I I in three minutes. The end of Year Vera Mahan
and Sanga there were next. They were roughed up by DIY, but the
Indo Year ended up being eliminated by Johnny Gargano and Tamasa Champion in about five
and a half minutes, so sorry. DJ. Julius Creed and Brutus Creed
were out next, and this is where they really took over and they eliminated
the the DIY. Johnny Gargano went to Massa Champa in about eleven minutes.
The New Day then come out and they were eliminated by Julius Creed and Brutus
Creed about eighteen minutes into the match, and Ludwig Kaiser and Giovanni Vinci ended
up being the final eliminated team by again the Creed Brothers in twenty five minutes.
And that means that the Creed Brothers are earning a shot at the Unispeited
Attack Team titles. If you remember, the Unispeited Tacked team title holders are
the Judgment Days, Damien Priest and Finn Balor. So should be a really
really fun match when this happens and It really is really all about the Creed
Brothers, who I got to say, as good as they are, the
crowd didn't give a damn. The crowd really didn't care about the Creed brothers.
But how could they? Again the assumptive. The assumptive perspective is that
you don't have a lot of fans who are watching the main product, who
watch NXT, so a lot of them are probably looking at this saying who
and why should I care? But what the with this team was able to
do was bring you in through their work without even saying a word, without
really knowing who and what they are. If you didn't watch NXT, you
now know that they bust their ass that they are. They have a lot
of natural strength, They have a really good amateur background, as Michael Cole
was putting them over like a million bucks, doing a great job giving us
the the actual credentials of these men in the in the match, they did
a great job all around and I enjoyed this match. It was slow at
times, yes, but the right team one. They're going to challenge the
judgment day for the tag titles and I would imagine and it's on a Monday
night raw again, we have several or seven might be actually be seven more
weeks of TV to phill, So you can bet your bottom dollar that the
tag team Turmoil match or the unrespit a tag team title match is probably going
to take place on one of these Monday night raws before probably before the holidays
hit. So maybe in the next couple of weeks we'll get that match.
All right. Cody comes out and he's of course in his suit, and
he asked the Nashville crowd what they want to talk about. He said,
there are so many stories coming out of the weekend, and he thanked all
of his teammates, he said, Cody said. Cody said that Orton was
a mentor to him early on and remains that to this day. He recalled
Orton allowing him to finish off Damian Prie's with the Crossroads and not just any
match. But ready, guys, ready for this? I'm sure you're not
ready for this. It's pretty emotional and breaking news. Not I feel like
I'm giving away things I shouldn't be. I feel like I'm I'm telling a
secret I shouldn't tell and letting you know that Cody's dad. I don't know
who you may not know who he is, but he's a guy called dust
Dousty. Dusty Dusty, that's what it is. Apparently Dusty was Cody's dad
and he created this war Games match. It's I don't know. I'll have
to look at who this this Dusty guy is because apparently this this this guy
is a pretty big dude, a pretty big deal. Cody's dad was a
pretty big deal, I guess. And it was really emotional hearing that Orton
allowed Cody to get that victory in his dad's match. That's wow, poof
that is pretty emotional. So we learned a lot there. If you can't
feel the sarcasm in my voice, feel it, absorb it. There's a
lot of it. But Cody talked about that he got choked up. I
don't know if that was genuine or not, but anyway, I'll move on
because I'm gonna go on a Cody rant. But he did say the other
story was the return of cm punk, and Cody said nobody knew what was
gonna happen. Seriously, nobody knew except half the crowd in Chicago that were
channing cmpunk, except the majority of the Internet that we're speculating about Cmpunk's return
the moment that he was gone from ae W and we looked at the calendar
and said, wow, Survivor series is in Chicago. I wonder and even
Punk himself slipping at times. Yeah, but boy, no one knew Cody
mm m, Nope. Anyway, he said, nobody knows what's gonna happen,
and that's why everyone's tuning in too. Here what he asked to say,
And Cody welcomed Punk back, and he said, with all the news
being made, he wanted to make himself some news as well, and he
said that he knows. He said, fans know him. At this point,
there's only one destination for him. And Cody said that he was granted
authority by Adam Pierce to announce that he's the first person to declare for the
Royal Robel. Well, okay, so Cody has to be the first one
to declare. He has to be the one to get the victory in war
games. He has to be the one to bring in James, one to
bring in Rady Orton. He has to be the one to make the save
all the time for all of the baby Faces getting beat up by the Bloodline
on SmackDown he already became Unterispeed a tag team champion with jay Uso for a
hot minute, right, But also beyond that the logic that you you have
to get authority by Adam Pierce to declare something, no, because everyone else
that's going to declare themselves for the Royal Robo matter and not going to get
cleared by Adam Pears to do so. I have this problem every year that
all you have to do is just declare yourself. And I keep going back
to if you guys have seen the Office, and I make this reference every
year, but Michael Scott declares himself bankrupt, and one of the more famous
lines in the show, he says, I declare bankruptcy, and they're like,
Michael, no, no, no, no, no, that's that's
not how it works, right, there's a process, there's paperwork. You
can't just declare yourself bankrupt. And it's kind of the same thing with the
Rubble Match, but except this time it's in reverse, where you just declare
yourself and you're in. But why wouldn't everyone who wants to be in the
rubble just declare themselves quickly? Then it's kind of first come, first serve.
I would do it instantly anyway. Shins Kana Kamara then aired a video
on the screen and said Cody is a brave hero who won his battle.
He added, Cody wants to finish his story, but he needs to he
needs to set him free and awaken so that he can evolve. Knakamura said
he was very patient, but he's done waiting and I will bring chaos to
you. Knakamura in the ring now approach Cody from behind, waited for him
to turn around, and sprayed red and mist in his face. Cody sold
the effects of the mist, and then the referees gave Cody a towel.
And so Cody was the one that Knakamura was targeting all along. He's the
one that he had his eye on. And I think this is gonna be
fun. I think it's also Cody's final stop before he gets into his WrestleMania
mode, targeting Roman Reigns. So this is most likely Cody's final the final
side opponent, final detour, if you will, before we get to Cody
targeting Roman Reigns and we get to Roman and Cody Part two. That's my
best assumption. But it's gonna be fun. Well at lasts. Is Knackama
gonna win? I think we all know the answer to that. Knakamura is
here to lose. But it'll be entertaining at least to see the the pre
ta promos and the matches, because you know that these two are going to
work very well together. And I'm looking forward to it from that perspective,
because if you if you go into this with the expectation that Knakamura could win,
I think you're going to be sorely disappointed. But all right, let's
go on here to Bronson read versus Ivar with Valhalla. Bronson Reid beat Ivar,
or rather fought Ivar to a double count out in eight minutes and forty
seconds, and so Brons rated Ivar continue to play stalemate with one another,
and WWE has yet to give us a definitive winner of that matchup, and
I think that's fine. They're two big guys. They're not exactly going to
be sitting there doing Hurricananas, right, They're not going to be doing six
to one nine's or Canadian Destroyers like. That's not their type. And I
have no problem with this. Their power for power, very similar body types,
and they just continue to brawl with each other, and security guards and
producers ran out and I had no issue here, I mean, I pull
apart brawl. But okay, let's see. We got a footage aired from
Shannon Bezer telling Zoe Stark she'd be the only one of the main roster for
a short period of time and she would get in another title shot, and
Nijack showed up and said Stark took Rhea to her limit. I love that.
Why no, she didn't. Stark didn't even come close. Is the
there are certain lines in the company that everyone just continues to repeat, and
it's just no, Zoe did not take Ria to the limit. It seems
everyone takes everyone to the limit. They do that as kind of an oversell
to get everyone over, but it gets no one over because apparently everyone's unequal
footing all the time. Anyway, Stark and Basler looked annoyed while Jack spoke
about how she would be champion and Basler told her to shut her hole,
and Stark challenged Jacks to a fight, and that's exactly what she wanted.
Okay, So this was a Nijack Zoe Stark matchup, and Nijacks beat Zoe
Stark in nine minutes. So the finish of this was Stark going up to
the top and she was cut off by Jax who executed a Samoan drop and
followed up with a sent on and Jacks drag start to the corner and hit
her with her annyh Lader before getting the victory. So it's all kind of
Zoe Stark showing fight, showing guts, and at the end of the day
she loses, and I you know, I'm not as much as I don't
like Nia Jacks, it's the right call in this scenario because sometimes you need
to tear someone down to build him back up, and you need to see
them lose in order to feel something for them. And the zoways Stark has
yet to make that connection with the crowd, but a good way to get
them to feel some kind of sympathy over time is to have her fight and
fight and fight and put on good matches and cut his good promos as you
can find out who you are, but learning how to win a loss by
showing the fans that you can kill it in the ring even if you do
come up short, you start to start to carve out some goodwill with fans
and know that when they see you, they're gonna get a really good match,
and then in the meantime start to do some slow character development. So,
okay, we did get Miss and Gunther backstage after Gunther, you know,
interrupted Kaiser and Vinci, who are bickering backstage, and the Mish recalled
Gunther stating at Survivor's series press conference that he expected his next opponent to come
challenge him face to face, and Mis said, well, here I am,
And Gunther asked him if he was sure about that, and Miss said
he was, and they said and said that they both know he can take
the intercontinental title, and Gunther credited Hims for coming prepared for a fight,
and Gunther said Miss belongs in the ring, just not with me, and
they walked away. Okay, so we might get the Miss and we might
not. I would think that we probably do again, lots of TV time
to fill. You could go back to this rematch at any time, so
I wouldn't rush it. You know, you can honestly even make a argument
for a main event of a show with this matchup. You could. You
could, you know, if Seth's not defending his title. But all right,
let's see Seth Rollins then came out and this one. I was really
interested also to see what Seth's reaction was going to be, what his what
his take is on things with Punk, or if he would even address him
directly, and he kind of did. He did tell the fans to get
it all out and chance Seempunk, and he said he didn't want to spend
one more second or ounce of energy unquote that hypocrite. He said that instead
of talking about someone who doesn't matter at all, they should talk about the
title that he spent the last six months turning into the most important title in
the entire entire industry. I dial that back, Seth. Is it is
it a title that WWE didn't want to acknowledge actually came from the World Heavyweight
title the most important because you held it for six months, I would argue,
I mean Rowan Rains is obviously the most valuable. It has like three
titles melded into one apparently at this point with multiple lineages overlapping others, and
at this point it's just a mess try to try to track those those lineages
of we the universal but like it got it into one and then it was
understanding, like you know, I don't know how this all is going to
work out in the end. I don't know if that's something that WWE even
cares about, but that is certainly a more important title, prestigious title than
Seth Rollins is. Of course, he would argue, well, that title's
never there, which it is, but it's behind the scenes. It does
exist, it's just not on camera. So you could even argue the Intercontinental
title is in some ways more respected than that world title. Right now,
I'm not putting down Seth. He's done a great job elevating this championship to
the best of his ability. But let's be honest, Gunther commands respect and
Roman Reigns is on a legendary run. Like it or hey, like it
or not. Just kind of a fact, but that is an important title
on raw, and it is by default the most important title on raw.
It is, yes, but not in the entire industry. Let's style that
back a little bit. Rollin said he had to admit he wasn't feeling too
good, but he was starting to get the itch. And this is where
he said, he's getting starting to get the itch to be a fighting champion
again. This is another one of those canned corporate lines, on top of
welcoming us to my net raw, on top of telling us that they were
taking everybody's taking everybody to the limit. This is another one of Oh,
every babyface has to declare themselves a fighting champion. I've gone through time and
again about why this is a bad idea for a long term babyface because of
the fact that it makes it devalues the belt itself, which is the very
thing that we're told that all the competitors on the WWE's roster is competing for,
are the championships. So when anybody gets an opportunity anytime, how is
that exactly valuable? Again, if anyone gets an opportunity, I could literally
tweet at you or x at you, whatever they call it now, and
I get an opportunity for just mouth off to you on Twitter. I could
be laying in my bed and get an opportunity at the World heavyweight title if
I was a wrestler. Anyway, It's just again, I'm a big Seth
Rollins fan, And it's not Seth Rollins's fault. It's this this ingrained,
just habitual, unwavering ideology of all babyfaces must declare themselves fighting champions and they
can't see the forest through the trees here that they don't understand the downside of
that. You can be a fighting champion without being a coward, but also
having respect for the championship. Gunther is a perfect example. I know he's
a heel, but you can't tell me the Intercontinental title doesn't feel ultra important
right now. Like it. As much as I don't like the design of
the belt. It's it's a championship that represents respect. Gunther is the epitome
of respect. He talks about respect. He doesn't back down from a fight.
He almost never cheats to win. Gunther is the epitome of a championship,
respecting a championship with also not being a coward. See, they feel
like it has to be one to the other, and it doesn't have to
be. It can be a middle ground. All right. I'm in a
bit of a soapbox. Let's move on. McIntyre came out interrupted Rollins,
and he said that he had it had been a crazy time and that McIntyre
wanted to shake Rollins's hand and congratulate him, and he said he wanted to
get back to focusing on the world heavyweight championship and not on Jay Usso,
and McIntyre asked Rollins if he recalled what he told him after the last match.
Rollins said that it was something about after I beat you at Crown Jewel,
you'll have no one to blame but yourself and it would be the best
thing that ever happened to you. McIntyre said that he was right. He
recalled Rollins for being down at one point during their match, and this is
where Rollins, after McIntyre said that you know he wants a rematch, and
Rollins agreed. Rollins did say he would defend the title on next week's Raw
in Albany, New York. McIntyre said Rollins is the champion and therefore he
calls the shots, and McIntyre asked who the match would be with, and
Rollins was very hesitant to say who it was before McIntyre learned that it was
Jay Uso. Next week, McIntyre looked upset and McIntyre hit him with a
head butt that ended up splitting his head open. McIntyre said that is because
he hit his head on Robins, excuse me, Rollins's belt. That's what
he did. He didn't actually hit Rollins's own head. That would have been
a double disaster. McIntyre accidentally bumped his head and the wrong the other hard
way on seth Rollins's World heavyweight championship. But he seemed okay, And like
I said, color as the boys put it, is sometimes the best thing
that can happen. And I really love that. You know, as long
as everyone's safe, there's no issues. I love blood. I miss it.
So McIntyre was obviously upset at Rollins and he feels slighted. But here's
the thing. Can McIntyre just does mactyre have to have his opportunity next week?
I know that he's slighted because of he feels that Jay Usso took a
jump the line. But McIntyre just lost number one then the two nights before
that. And also you're telling me that you can't just get an opportunity by
challenging Rollins the very next night, the very next week. I mean,
he said he deserves an opportunity. Rollins is a fighting champion. Why couldn't
Drew have just waited a week? You know, I don't know, but
it continues to push Drew down on a dark path, and I like it
so let's see here. Then we did get an announcement of zaye and McIntyre
for next week after the head a bit of a cross up backstage. Sammy
Zayin continues to be really good on promos and talked about he talked to McIntyre
about knowing what defeat tastes like and I had to deal with the same thing
and disappointing my friends and my family. I've dealt with everything you have,
but times ten and all this all good points. Sammy, can can we
stop yelling every promo? It's like he's adopted the Dolph Ziggler school of promos.
Everything has to be yelled by Sammy. He gets so emotional so quickly.
Can he just for once maybe have kind of a normal voice. I
love Sammy, I really do, and the content of his promos are good.
But I just noticed over the last several weeks every promo he cuts,
he's yelling relax, bruh, all right. But I love Sammy. I
do. Then we got Chelsea Green and Piper Niven went into Samantha Irvin's credit.
She's great. I love Samantha Irvin and the ring announcer. She announces
Chelsea Green and I can't even do it, but in that kind of annoying
chel say Green like she does it in this kind of just annoying tone that
Chelsea talks about herself and the third person as it was just a great touch.
I love Samantha, She's so good. But Chelsea Green and Piper Niven
versus Teagankox and Italia took place here for the women's tag team titles and the
match ended at in eight minutes and forty seconds with Chelsea Green and Piper Niven
beating Teagan and Italia. And it was Niven hitting Knox with a running cross
body and pender. So that was that's how it ended. And I enjoyed
it, I really did. And and you know I enjoyed it for what
women's tag team wrestling standards are. None of them sense that, oh my
god, it was the best match of the night. No, I enjoyed
it for the fact that number one, we actually started to focus on the
women's tag titles again. The key there is going to be consistency, which
is seemingly the antithesis of saying women's tag team titles. If someone came to
you and said, say the opposite word or phrase for women's tag team titles.
The correct answer is consistency. That's the right answer, and so hopefully
that changes. And I think the women's tag titles need to be showcased,
I mean nearly every week, put in the minds of fans at least or
in the conversation or in a backstage segment. So I don't need a tag
team title y match every week, but that is something that I think is
important. Okay, a j Usoe was approached by or rather Jay us who
approached Orton and he said, you know, he wanted to talk to him
before he found you know him. In other words, Jay was trying to
find Orton before before Orton found Ja. And he said that, you know,
he heard what he said about receipts of the blood line, and he
said Cody gave him a second chance by bringing him to Raw and he's trying
to do right while leaving the past in the past. Orton said he understood.
He said he'd been watching Rawn how Jay has had the back of Cody
and others. Orton said that that means something to him. He said they
could let bygones be bygones, and that Orton said he has unfinished business with
the blood line, and as long as you're out of the blood line,
they're good. So I really, you know, if this is a sincere
and we don't know with Orton, because with Orton, you think things are
good and then wham right, the beloved RKO gets literally out of nowhere.
So that still could happen to Jay, and I actually still expect that to
happen at some point. I can't imagine that Randy Orton is going to let
this go because storyline wise, the blood line, which at the time was
Jay and Jimmy and Roman and Solo, they took out Randy Orton. That
means that Jay is owed a receipt, and I'd imagine that he's going to
take the RKO and at some point and maybe just accept it and they won't
have a match, but rather it's just kind of you had this coming.
So I would imagine that's what that's what's gonna happen. But if this is
a sincere apology in which they're actually going to not explore this with Randy Orton
and just all of a sudden, he's so forgiving. You're forgiving for someone
who participated in you being put on the shelf for eighteen months, you know,
like it's possible, but it's not probable with Randy. I think right
now they have other plans for Randy and other plans for Jay, and they
don't want Randy and Jay overlapping right now because there's too much else going on
separately in other paths for those two. So eventually I think they'll come back
together. Maybe they'll do a proper program. Maybe Randy will turn heel and
Jay will be the babyface, which will be interesting because Jay's the one that
put Randy on the shelf in the first place. But I don't think it's
right now. I could be wrong, but you can't tell me Randy's not
going to hit Jay with an RKO. It's gotta happen. So next week
is a World Heavyweight Championship match seth Rollins versus Jay Uso and Sammy Zay versus
Drew McIntyre. Now this is where I guess you could say Jay us so
it gets an RKO. There's an opportunity, and just thinking about it,
Oh, maybe they won't do it, but maybe they do. Get the
RKO out of the way, and Jay just accepts it and they both move
on and continue on their separate paths and says I was kind of owede it
right, So that's possible that Ran he costs Jay here, but more likely
I think it's Drew McIntyre that ends up screwing with that match, even though
he already has a match presumably earlier in the night with Sammy's Ain. So
again, I'll be in attendance for both of these matches. I really just
believe that it's gonna be probably Drew screwing a Seth in that match or after
the match, because Jaus says, let's be frank, jay Uso ain't winning
the world title on Raw next Monday night in Albany, New York. It's
not happening. So it's given me a lot of hanky panky or which I'd
imagine is gonna happen, because when you think about this, I don't think
it really would be good for either man to win clean. I don't think
you want Jay to beat Seth in any capacity, clean or not, because
Jay he's not at that world title level and there's just too much with Seth
that you could still do. You can't have Seth beat Jay because Jay's on
a roll. They're trying to build momentum for Jay, and they're just both
in a position where they both can't they both really shouldn't lose. So what
do you do DQ? Probably a DQ finish. Whoever wins that DQ doesn't
matter. No title changes hands. So you could have Drew interfere and maybe
Randy Orton interfere and maybe that's where you get a fatal four way for the
sets world title. I'm just spitting at the wind here, guys, but
maybe that's what happens. Or you get a fatal four way not title match,
but this a fatal four way match, non title. Maybe that's what
happens in the following week on Raw. So's that's what I expect. I
expect a lot of hanky pankey wonky donkey stuff. That's a book, by
the way, wonky donkey. How do I know that? Well, having
a five year old son is how I know. But that's what I expect
a lot of wonky stuff because now their man can afford to lose clean.
So that's that's probably how it's going to go down. I don't expect I
don't expect seem punk to get involve. I really don't know when Punk's gonna
like he may not even be there next Monday Night. Honestly see him Punk.
If he doesn't show up on Monday Night, it's gonna be a lot
of angry people because now that Punk is back, everyone is gonna expect Punk
to be there every week. I would think he is right now. He's
not advertised for anything, but I don't even know who he targets, or
maybe someone targets him. I don't know, but okay. We then got
Randy Orton Dominic Mysterio, of which Randy beat Dom as expected in nine and
a half minutes after an RKO. Really nice match here, God dang Orton
looks jacked. Good for him. The crowd was channing one more time for
the back body drop on the on the announced desk, we got Jelly Rolls
interference, shoving, dom shoving which should have been a DQ by the way,
but it wasn't. Shoving McDonough who just continues to be the rag doll
for the judgment, which is so much fun to watch. And I love
the neck brace. And this is where we got Orton hitting the RKO to
the crowd's delight. He'd paused a bit and got the victory on Dom and
that RKO was a boy. Have I missed the RKO so good? Oh
my god. Here's the thing, dominiq Wasterio is so hated that well.
As much as I don't like to see Dom get too many clean victories over
him, he's such a good heel and people naturally hate him so much that
he gets his heat back so quick. He's like one of those trick candles
and on a birthday cake. I don't know about you as a kid,
but every time, from the ages of like five to twelve, I would
always hope that my candles on my birthday cake were trick. That's kind of
what the heat is for Dom. You blow it out and then it,
you know, quickly bam comes back. So I don't know just what I
thought about that. By the way, I always knew it was a trick
candle. Usually this was the telltale sign it was sparking a little bit like
they because they have to like reignite again. It reignites itself. So that's
how I always knew, and I always wanted to keep blowing it out until
it stopped reigniting itself. I never got a chance to. It's like how
many looks does he'd take to get to the center of it to tepop the
world may never know. Okay, I'm going way off the rails here,
but that is mone a neet raw and again enjoyable show. The interaction with
Randy and Rhea was fun fresh dom or Yeah Doma and the rest of the
judgment day automatically going after Randy makes a lot of sense. Jelly roll,
I could give a crap about the caracterzaw is mildly entertaining. The tag team
troo match was fun, and the Creed Brothers really are just kind of a
throwback wrestling group that a wrestling tag team that you know, I can see
them doing a lot of really good things. So an overall enjoyable Monday Night
Raw. Of course. Selfishly, I hope next week is better. I
will be there live. You guys get to check me out hopefully one or
two times on RAW I'll be throwing a sign up. I'm pretty I pretty
much landed on. One side's going to say turn Cody heel. The other
side is going to say the WWE podcast. That's pretty much it. I've
double sided black and white sign and that's that's it. A white signed black
letters, and that'll be that. Hopefully I don't anger too many people behind
me who are going to say, put the dam signed down. I mean
you always have that stuff, right, which I get it. I'm trying
to respect people's views. All right. That'll do it for me. Guys

with everybody, please keep your questions and reviews concise, get to the point,
make your point, ask questions, because if everyone and it gives me
a novel number one, I'm not going to read them. It's just I
don't know. That's not fair to everyone else. But also I don't want
you wasting your time and then feeling, you know, slighted by me because
he didn't read my whole email. You know, I'm giving everyone a fair
warning, or rather a fair level playing field, not a warning. I'm
not your dad, right, I'm just leveling the playing field. Everybody,
please be concise. A couple of paragraphs I think should suffice and yeah,
if you read it and it's more than three minutes long to read, it's
too long. Because someone out there is gonna say, well, two paragraphs.
I could put a lot of words and two paragraphs. No, No,
how about a time if you read you what you wrote and it's more
than three minutes to read it out loud, change it. Okay. I'm
just trying to get everyone on the show and keep the pace moving for the
show. So I really would appreciate that. Guys. If you write along
email and got to pick and choose, all right, so I will still
read your email if you write a novel, but I'm gonna pick and choose
you know, the things that you send in just out of fairness to everybody.
