Speaker 1: Reality with the King is hosted by me, Carlos King. I'm an executive producer who have produced some of your favorite shows from the Real Housewives in Atlanta, New Jersey and my own creation, The Love and Marriage Franchise and Bell Collective. Every episode we recap reality television from the Real Housewives Franchise to The Bachelor or Selling Sunset, in addition to celebrity guests, whether in the unscripted space or scripted as well. Hey, brain drops, for today's episode of Reality with the King, we have to get into the Katie show. Look, I love all the girls and all the girls love me, but we must dissect the fact that Katie is carrying this show on her back. So far, so far, it's still early in the season, but this episode I really enjoyed. This season is definitely getting hot, so let's just get right into it now. Heath of de Bro, who was born on January fifth, honey, not January sixth, shot to Vicky govisent. That was a joke because Teddy Mellencamp did ask Vicky goversand where she was on January sixth, So have a sense of humor, rain drops. Okay, this is not a political podcast. This is one of unfiltered, unscripted conversations. Okay, So on January fifth, one day before the insurrection, half of the bro was born. She was born Meani Meanie Meanie meenie many years before that child. Okay, fine, let's let's move on from it. So Heather debro Is during herself a birthday party forty days and forty nights after her actual birthday. Okay, child, because she told you, Brokie's look y'all spent all of your unlimited funds in the savings account on Christmas gifts and New Year's Okay, and when it's my birthday on the fifth, I want a Disneyland type of extravaganza. No, not the one with the Papa ARROSSI caught me and Teddy take Abab Paul giving each other a PDA. Not that one, child, I'm talking about the one where I need gifts to Okay. So instead of keeping it on her actual birthday, she decided to do it a month later. There we go, all right. So with that being said, she met with Shannon and Jen and said to them, look, I'm throwing a birthday party a month later after my birthday, but I want to invite the husband. I did speak to Tamra, and Tamar said, because Ryan and Jen are coming, she doesn't feel comfortable being there, and on top of that, she was instructed by her attorney that it is in her best interest not to attend. Jen freaked out because, as we all know, I'll give you out the quick snapshot of the story, Jen's boyfriend, the handsome Ryan child saving private Ryan Honey was accused of things that apparently turned out not to be really true. I'm not going to get to the weeds of it google a child, but Tamar made a statement about the FBI raiding the home something of that regards there were allegations that they were going to sue her. Tamra apologized and said that you know, she regretted saying it what I found out this episode because I didn't know this unless you guys did. I didn't know that Jen and Ryan had to pay a lot of money and attorney fees to dispute that, because from what I understand, while there were rumors and encouragement for Ryan to sue Tamar, he never foiled a lawsuit against her. So that's why I was confus When Jen said, well, we spent so much money on attorney fees because I'm like, but Ryan never filed a laws suit against Tamera. So I know that attorneys charged you for a consultation, but how many minutes or hours did y'all speak to the attorneys to where it accumulated so much money? That was confusing to me. What I do know is Ryan supposedly did issue a cease and desist letter to Tamra that does cost money, okay, to her after she made statements that he felt were false and damaging. Allegedly, Vicky, the former og to the OC, had initially encouraged Ryan to sue. That's alleged that was according to reality T. It is not according to reality but the king. But according to reality T, allegedly they're saying Vicky encouraged Ryan to do it, referencing when another lawsuit occurred, which is why I was happy to see Timor apologize. But Ryan's legal action did stop. So look, when it comes to reality television, what's so interesting is because you're on a reality show, you can say pretty much what you want to about a person. That's a clause in your agreements, right, So rain drops know that in your agreements you can pretty much say what you want to say about a person, because on a lot of these shows, when you yell out wild accusation, it is you're defaming them. But because it's reality television, it's all my part for the course, that's that's what happens. Unfortunately, right, would you just say anything whatever? I do believe? Because Ryan, technically it is not a cast member. That's probably why he was able to send a cease and desist and possibly excuse me decide to do it. But look, I don't like it when things get legal because I don't want to watch these shows as if Judge Judy and her bailiff is going to appear alongside the other attorney on the show, Honey Emily. Okay, I don't the judge Emily Honey and her gavel to represent Tamera or Jin in any situation. I don't like it when things become legal. I just think for me, it takes the fun out of what we're watching, and I don't think it's fun. But Ryan did feel that Tamar's statements on the show were damaging to his reputation and career, but once again, Tamra did apologize, So hopefully what we'll see this season is a conversation between those two about what happened in an effort to move forward because I don't want to see things get dark now. What we did see is Heather and Tamra talking about this situation, and Heaven did say that based on what Tamra is going through, which is watching her best friend Teddy Mellencamp go through this cancer journey, having to have multiple surgeries is devastating to her emotionally, tamar did emote that she goes down the rabbit hole of the photos between her and Teddy or just Teddy, you know, in general, because she misses her and she wants to make sure or that her best friend obviously survives this, and while she's hopeful that she will, it is still something in the back of her mind in terms of what if she doesn't. And that's when Heather decided to approm all of us that she is seeing a different side of Tamra. She's seeing growth, and she is seeing somebody that is way more balanced than what we see. And based on these few episodes, I will say we haven't seen Tamarra and her typical villain era because Katie decided to take the baton twirling and enter Shannon space. We'll get to that later in the episode. So my heart goes out to Tamara. Obviously, my heart goes out to Gin. Two things can be true, right, Two things can be true When someone makes an accusation that you feel like is going to ruin your reputation, that's not okay at all. And I understand the grievances that Ryan and Jen have because it is an emotional turmoil to deal with that. So I definitely understand where Jen's coming from. I also understand where Tamra's attorney is coming from when he says, I don't want you around them, well, particularly specifically Ryan, because look, when you poke Tamra, Tamra's liable to go off of you and may say things she regrets. Ryan is the same way you poke Ryan, Honey, Ryan is liable to go after you and say things that he may regret. So I understand the attorneys saying I just don't trust you two to be in the same room because if one of you guys poke, the other things can be said that will cause things to take a severe legal action. And that's the last thing that we want to see, at least for me, I don't want to see that. I want to see Ryan getting a tan, Honey. I want to see Ryan goes shopping at Tommy Bahama, Honey for some shorts, okay, at a tank top. I'm just saying that's what I want to see. I ain't trying to see anything lego, not at all, Not at all. This is reality with the King, and I'm Carlos King. Let's get back into the show. But one thing that I was very happy to see, Honey is Shanna ba door checking Katie so at heav is the bro party. Katie and Shannon finally have a one on one and this is where we learned that. And Katie, I've been trying my best to see your side of things, but you make it hard for me to not call you Katie b Lyon. You have taken the trophy away from me. A pro potomac, Katie, you are a liar, liar pants on fire. And it's so evident because once you're confronted with something in real time, you look like Bambi Deer in the headlights and you don't have words until you go home and you recite everything in your mind and you come up with a storyline and and and lies girl, okay, and excuse this? Then you want to bring it back to them saying, oh, by the way, you know, yes, I found the DM. I did call her like girl. You knew that last week. So this week Shannon clocked it once. Katie said to her, well, I text you apologizing, and Shanna's like you text me and was making excuses for your actions. And that's the problem that I'm having with Katie. Why does it take three business days for your brain to work to where the memory chip is activated and you're able to compute words that you use your manicured fingers and your samsunk android okay girl, maybe an iPhone sixteen and you text all of a sudden your memory worked, what are we doing? And makes those sens to me? Katie makes those sys to me and my friend Alexis Menlino came on last week, was a great episode. Listened to I Love Me some Alexis and she said, Carlos, I know you're heard on Katie, but you know, I don't think she's a let'ious person. And I trust Alexa's opinion, but the problem is I'm not seeing on the show what Alexis knows in real life. And that's why I'm having a hard time digesting Katie because I find her. I find her to be an enigma. I just I just don't get her. I don't get her. I just but look, Katie, if you're listening, honey, come on Reality with the King. Honey. I would love to have you on because maybe I'm missing something and I would love to give you the benefit of the doubt. My doors are open to you. Kt to come on the show, honey and be held not accomfortable, a caterable. Okay, So moving on, Shannon is like, look, you recorded me and that's illego. Now before y'all laugh, let's have a real conversation. Okay. I want you guys to know this because I do my research. I am a journalist. Hey, Portiche. So, as you all know, the show is taped in the state of California. So while Katie and the rest of the cast members were doing a photoshoot, Katie recorded Shannon's outburst. Alexis Blito confirmed last week that it wasn't a video, it was audio only. Okay. So when Shannon tells Katie what she did was illego, this is what she meant by it. In the state of California, you generally cannot record a conversation without the consent of all parties involved. California is a two party consent state, meaning that all parties to a conversation must agree to be recorded. This is based on the California Penal Code Section six thirty two, which makes it illegal to record a confidential communication without the consent of all parties. Now, granted, it wasn't like Katie and Shannon were talking and having their own conversation that she recorded, so there is a loophole there. However, Shannon isn't all the way wrong because recording somebody without their consent is illegal in the state of California. So that's what she meant by that. Now what we all know is, Shanna Badoor, you recorded Kelly Dodd video okay audio in Ireland without Kelly Do's consent. Now this is the gag of the Gaga gags. Once again. I'm a journalist, So here are the facts. In Ireland, you can generally record conversations or phone calls if you are a party to them, without needing to inform the other participants. This is known as one party consent. Emily, I'm doing your job as a lawyer. Okay. While it's not illegal to record without informing the other parties, there can be legal implications depending on the context of the recording and how it's used. So Shannon legally recorded Kelly in Ireland because in Ireland it's a one party consent. So there you have it. There you have it. There you have it. Now Shannon did say watch what Happens Live When Andy said to her, we a girl. They said, you recorded Kelly Dodd. She said, Look, the producers tell us when they're not around filming us to take out our phones and record so that they're able to use it in case there's any big moments on their activities. And as a producer, I can't confirm that's exactly what happens, that does happen, because there's only a certain amount of time of window, well window of tom excuse me, where the crew is able to work after that window. If the girls want to go out, the crew cannot go out because they need to rest, eat and all these other things. Right, So as producers, we do tell our cast, look, if you see anything crazy or something big happens, recording on your phone. So that we can use it in the show. And that's why in a lot of these shows where they are out of the country or after hours, you see more phone cam footage than camera footage. Okay, that's what happened. Now. One thing Shannon also got right was when Katie was like, well, when I recorded you, I was on a business call and you were acting out. Once again, I'm with Shannon. If you are on a business call, why not leave the room? Why not go to your dressing room? Why not go to the bathroom. If I'm on a business call and Shannon Bador is acting out, I'm not going to record her unless I'm going to use it against her in the future. Let's call it what it is. Allegedly Allegedly. Allegedly, there have been conversations that Shannon does how outburst off camera. The girls have said it, other another show has said a child It has been said that Shannon has an outburst. Now, look, that is very believable based on Shannon's behavior on the show, because she will leave a room say take this effing mic off of me, Like, that's what Shanna does, It's what she does. So, in my opinion, what Katie wanted to do was not only to record it and play it for Tamra, which she did, and then Tamra told Alexis Billina about it. Alexis cleared that up to on the show. She wanted evidence in terms of how Shannon acts off camera. That's that's exactly what I believe Katie what's doing. And that's the reason why you say, See, Shannon's so fired up because she knows that you're trying to embarrass me. And although I've had it with Tamra, I've gotten into it with other people. They never recorded me, but the only person who did was John when John recorded her the night of the Dui. And that's why she said to her, look, I am worried about your mental state and puts her in the same category as John due to the recording. She also tells Kati, you are the most evil person I've ever met. Now, Shannon, girl, that's a stretch. Does your arm hurt? Is out the socket? Where's your elbow? That was a stretch? Go to pilates, Boo, Katie, being the most evil person you met is a stretch. Now, look, we all know what happened with your ex husband. I am not calling David evil once again, I am not calling David evil. I don't know him, so I'm not going to use that word to describe him. But what a lot of people do feel is cheating to them when you're married. They do feel like that action is evil. It's an evil action. It doesn't make you an evil person for most people, but a lot of people do think cheating while you're married is an evil action they do, which is why for me, it was so confusing that she would say that when I've seen worse things happen to Shannon. I mean, David and Shannon got divorced in twenty nineteen. A year later. He again, like a lot of people would say that's bad. So I think Shannon was reaching, Although I agree with her in terms of what Katie did was wrong. I think that's when Shannon sort of like loses me when she goes the extra mile and say things that makes no sense to me, that made no sense to me and Katie, Katie, hey girl, I'm about to have your back. Katie did not deserve to be called the most evil person that she's ever met. Now, with that being said, could there be any validity to whether or not Katie is actually evil? So hear me out. Gina went on Housewives Nightcap podcast and when Gina was asked about rumors that Katie would not be returning next season. This is what Gina said. Well, I don't make those decisions. I will say that I haven't seen her in a very long time and I have no plans to see her, And I will say that honestly, I'm sort of to the point where if she was to be a part of this group next year, I would seriously question whether I want it to be. Now, look, Gina, you know I love you, unless you really are selling homes the way Josh flag Is or Josh Autman, Gina have several seats at the Barclay Center like girl. But look, with that being said, it's Katie that evil, It's Katie that ebol. It's Katie so evil that Gina will lose her check if she's back on the show. That that's a very strong statement. Gina, come on the podcast, let's talk about a girl. What has Katie done to where you have Shanna saying she's the most evil purchase she's met. Now, granted, when Shanna said that, all we know is she spoke to a blogger about Emily's kids. And the other thing we know is she recorded Shanna's outburst. I think that's bad. I think it's wrong. I think it's horrible. I don't think that's evil though, right. But for Gina to say if Katie comes back, she would have to reconsider if she wants to come back, that's a very loud and strong statement. Katie, what have you done? Because the rumors is Katie, you leave the show in the middle production. That's what it's saying on social media, Katie. And the fact that Gina says she has a seeing you in a very long time. Y'all just wrapped a few months ago, maybe two, maybe three. What did you do? Katie? Come on the show so we can find out.
