<v Speaker 2>We've got our preview and prediction show coming up, which
<v Speaker 2>will duel as a mailbag show on Friday, so you're
<v Speaker 2>not gonna want to miss that. That's gonna be a
<v Speaker 2>lot of fun. As we close out the bill to
<v Speaker 2>Bad Blood and then look at head to Crown Jewel,
<v Speaker 2>the beloved Crown Jewel event. It's coming to us on
<v Speaker 2>November second, Yes, November two, from Saudi Arabia, riodd I said,
<v Speaker 2>say and the Kingdom Arina I can't speak tonight, guys.
<v Speaker 2>Kingdom Arena in Riad, Saudi Arabia is where Crown Jewels
<v Speaker 2>taking place. So there is a ple between Bad Blood
<v Speaker 2>and Survivor series that is Crown jewel, but the sum
<v Speaker 2>it still doesn't exist, and I understand why you feel
<v Speaker 2>that way, but if you care about such things, there
<v Speaker 2>is a ple in between. So the Survivor Series Wargames match, though,
<v Speaker 2>and the ple itself obviously are really late this year.
<v Speaker 2>I mean it's the last day of November. We're almost
<v Speaker 2>into December before we get Wargames. So that's something to
<v Speaker 2>take note of because that means Wargames is two months away.
<v Speaker 2>It feels like because we've been talking about it here
<v Speaker 2>on the show and others all over social media. Other
<v Speaker 2>podcasts you probably listen to wrestling podcasts anyway, are talking
<v Speaker 2>about Survivors series and how bloodline versus bloodline, and it
<v Speaker 2>feels like we've been talking about this before Rowing Rain's
<v Speaker 2>even returned, and we have, but now it feels like
<v Speaker 2>it should be next week and it's two months away,
<v Speaker 2>if you want to be technical, over two months until
<v Speaker 2>the Wargames match that we all anticipate being bloodline versus
<v Speaker 2>blood line blood line. So that is something to really
<v Speaker 2>take into your mind here and gain some perspective that
<v Speaker 2>we still have a good chunk of time before that
<v Speaker 2>event takes place, which you know, may make sense that
<v Speaker 2>if jay Uso wins the Intercontinental Championship, he could lose
<v Speaker 2>it before the Wargames event. I hope he has a
<v Speaker 2>long title reign, but if they want to have a
<v Speaker 2>short one and have the rogue bloodline costs j Uso
<v Speaker 2>the match whenever that does happen, you could do that.
<v Speaker 2>So we'll see. But let's talk about this week in WWE,
<v Speaker 2>and we'll do that in a moment. Like to welcome

<v Speaker 2>out from a political and cultural perspective that I want
<v Speaker 2>to be able to talk about, and it seems like
<v Speaker 2>I'm getting a one episode per week schedule out and
<v Speaker 2>that's what I'm trying to stick to. But those that
<v Speaker 2>have been looking for a episode on my new show
<v Speaker 2>called The War on Truth, I will be doing that
<v Speaker 2>in the next twenty four hours, I promise, all right,
<v Speaker 2>So let's get into it. Let's get into Socoa's return,
<v Speaker 2>which I guess is one of the biggest talking points
<v Speaker 2>among the fact that they keep teasing a heel turn
<v Speaker 2>from either Kevin Owens or Randy Orton. But solo Sokoa
<v Speaker 2>did return and the segment started with the well, Corey
<v Speaker 2>Gray is welcoming us to SmackDown, and then you know,
<v Speaker 2>we have Randy Orton come out and he said it's
<v Speaker 2>been a minute and he had to take care of
<v Speaker 2>some business on rob and he said he missed being
<v Speaker 2>in a SmackDown ring. Again, what's the difference between it
<v Speaker 2>ran SmackDown other than colors? The answer is nothing. Zero.
<v Speaker 2>This loyalty to brands is nonsense because they switch brands
<v Speaker 2>at random with no explanation. They don't choose the brand
<v Speaker 2>they're drafted there, so they suddenly have I mean, it's
<v Speaker 2>just even on the Triple H regime, I have issues. However,
<v Speaker 2>we said or he said that he had been into
<v Speaker 2>business a long time and can count the number of
<v Speaker 2>people he can trust on one hand, and he even
<v Speaker 2>welcomed us to SmackDown. I know, this is a sticking
<v Speaker 2>point that I just can't get over. The talent should
<v Speaker 2>not be welcoming us to the show like they're hosting
<v Speaker 2>the show. Okay, the announcers do that, I don't. I mean,
<v Speaker 2>I don't care if that's just what you do. No,
<v Speaker 2>the crowd knows where they are. No one's sitting there,
<v Speaker 2>sitting there with a ticket in their hand, going, oh
<v Speaker 2>my god. I really hope they tell me what show
<v Speaker 2>I went to. I have no idea what I just
<v Speaker 2>spent my money on. Can somebody please announce what show
<v Speaker 2>I'm at. No one's doing that, okay, And it's so
<v Speaker 2>it's just a take me out of the moment. Constant
<v Speaker 2>error by WWE. I want to ask them why. And
<v Speaker 2>I know a lot of you, what are you talking
<v Speaker 2>about this so much? It's just right off the bat.
<v Speaker 2>For every show we get if it's a promo anyway,
<v Speaker 2>not if there's a match, but if there's a promo,
<v Speaker 2>no matter who it is, babyface, heel, legendary heel, and
<v Speaker 2>a legendary star like Randy Orton or somebody newer, they
<v Speaker 2>welcome us to raw no matter what. And I don't
<v Speaker 2>know why they have this itch they need to scratch
<v Speaker 2>every single time, because it's it just is it's unnecessary,
<v Speaker 2>to say the very least, and it's predictable, and it
<v Speaker 2>makes no sense given what the talent are there to do.
<v Speaker 2>They're not there to host the show. They're there to
<v Speaker 2>kick ass. They're there to win championships, settle scores. They're
<v Speaker 2>not there to be raw raw for the company. At
<v Speaker 2>least they shouldn't be on air, right. I said my piece,
<v Speaker 2>so those of you that want to write a negative review,
<v Speaker 2>I gave you some content. So Randy Orton didn't come
<v Speaker 2>out though, and he said that he can only trust
<v Speaker 2>a few people. And Randy Orton said Cody Rhoads is
<v Speaker 2>one of those people. And he said that Cody's choice
<v Speaker 2>to partner with rains is disappointing and that it didn't
<v Speaker 2>sit right to him, and he said that he was
<v Speaker 2>hoping for an explanation and asked Cody to come to
<v Speaker 2>the ring to give it to him. Cody Roads came
<v Speaker 2>out and slapping hands and kissing babies and you know,
<v Speaker 2>doing what just I mean obnoxious politicians do in their
<v Speaker 2>suits and their well mannered gestures and they're speaking and
<v Speaker 2>their way that they move, and I mean, I mean,
<v Speaker 2>I didn't. Okay, I won't go into too much negativity
<v Speaker 2>other than to say the Cody Rhods character is it's
<v Speaker 2>the the disdain I have for it. I'm trying to
<v Speaker 2>choose words that aren't going to result in this getting
<v Speaker 2>an explicit mark on my podcast. The disdain I have
<v Speaker 2>for the baby face character is growing deeper. I'll leave
<v Speaker 2>it there. Okay, that's the most PG way I can say. However,
<v Speaker 2>he said perhaps he looked like a fool for teaming
<v Speaker 2>with Roman, and he questioned whether it was better to
<v Speaker 2>look like a fool or a coward, and then he
<v Speaker 2>said that Roman gave him his word, and gave examples
<v Speaker 2>of Roman giving his words, such as doing whatever it
<v Speaker 2>took to keep the title and something else I can't remember.
<v Speaker 2>I don't understand this, And what does he mean? What
<v Speaker 2>choice did he have here? Like, what was the choice
<v Speaker 2>between being a fool or a coward? What's the choice here?
<v Speaker 2>I don't understand. Okay, so he doesn't team with Rains.
<v Speaker 2>How is that making him? In fact, some would argue
<v Speaker 2>that makes him more brave because he's trying to take
<v Speaker 2>on the bloodline by himself, saying he doesn't need help.
<v Speaker 2>I don't understand that. That that to comparison, that analogy
<v Speaker 2>made no sense to me. There wasn't a choice there.
<v Speaker 2>There wasn't a singular choice of all. Was he gonna
<v Speaker 2>make it's gonna look like fool's gonna look like coward?
<v Speaker 2>I didn't understand that. Maybe it's going over my head.
<v Speaker 2>But we have Cody going on to say that he
<v Speaker 2>would take him at his word and it was time
<v Speaker 2>for the bloodline to be killed. He said that he
<v Speaker 2>hoped with all sincerity it wouldn't be a problem for him,
<v Speaker 2>and Randy said it wouldn't be a problem at all,
<v Speaker 2>of course, unless he made it a problem. I'm very
<v Speaker 2>confused by this, and perhaps it's because my intelligence is decreasing.
<v Speaker 2>Some of you would say yep, but I don't know
<v Speaker 2>because I'm This promo left me confused. Number One, why
<v Speaker 2>does Randy need to sign off on Cody Rhad's decisions?
<v Speaker 2>It is Randy playing daddy? Why why does Cody need
<v Speaker 2>to answer to Randy at all? What's the what's the
<v Speaker 2>what's the the end game here and now? Of course
<v Speaker 2>it could be Randy turning heel, which we all hope
<v Speaker 2>in r KO and Cody, which we all hope, But
<v Speaker 2>I just I don't understand that that that's that's number one.
<v Speaker 2>Why why does he even care what Cody's doing? Shouldn't
<v Speaker 2>he worry about himself? Randy could go after the championship
<v Speaker 2>or uh or or which is Cody Rhodes. He could
<v Speaker 2>be involved in another program or maybe even chase the
<v Speaker 2>US title if he really wanted to, right, or he
<v Speaker 2>could go back to ROW and do stuff because I
<v Speaker 2>don't care about the brand split. So that was problem
<v Speaker 2>Numero uno, being that Randy suddenly cares about the decisions
<v Speaker 2>and demands explanations. What is he? Is he Cody's keeper?
<v Speaker 2>Is he the warden?
<v Speaker 1>Well?
<v Speaker 2>That was weird, Okay. Secondly, we have the fact that
<v Speaker 2>he said that that he would Is he gonna make
<v Speaker 2>it a problem? Right? He said, Well, Randy said it
<v Speaker 2>wouldn't be a problem unless he made it a problem.
<v Speaker 2>What was that supposed to mean? Is Cody? Is he
<v Speaker 2>saying that Cody could attack Randy?
<v Speaker 3>Well?
<v Speaker 2>Why Roman has no interest in attacking Randy. Cody obviously
<v Speaker 2>this point yet doesn't have an interest in attacking Randy.
<v Speaker 2>I don't understand this. Where are we going? I hope
<v Speaker 2>somebody in a voicemail goes, all right, man, I want
<v Speaker 2>to respond to you. You seem really confused by the
<v Speaker 2>opening promo and smack down. Let me break it down
<v Speaker 2>for you. But if you do, here's what I want
<v Speaker 2>you to do. I want you to break it down
<v Speaker 2>for me because I know I'm sure i'll get one
<v Speaker 2>of these or an email, which just fine. I'm actually asking.
<v Speaker 2>I'm not trying to patronize anybody. I want you to
<v Speaker 2>explain to me like I'm twelve, okay, because I feel
<v Speaker 2>like this is an unnecessarily complicated promo. Not that the
<v Speaker 2>language is complicated. The directions are scattered here, the motives
<v Speaker 2>of the wrestlers here are scattered. But let's continue. I
<v Speaker 2>promise there's some good stuff to talk about Okay, I promise. So, uh,
<v Speaker 2>let's see. We got Kevin Owens coming out, and before
<v Speaker 2>he could speak, Solo comes out and said, the three
<v Speaker 2>of them are standing the ring and that saves him
<v Speaker 2>a lot of trouble, and he demanded a Homa City. Okay, yeah, yeah, yeah.
<v Speaker 2>He goes up to the crowd. He said that he
<v Speaker 2>would acknowledge the fact that Roman gave Cody his word,
<v Speaker 2>and he said he never should trust him because he
<v Speaker 2>would need him since those other two men in the
<v Speaker 2>ring could never get the job done. And Solo said
<v Speaker 2>the reason he would team up with Roman is because
<v Speaker 2>whenever he's tried to take out the bloodline with the
<v Speaker 2>other two, he's failed. Kevin Owens then said nobody cares
<v Speaker 2>what he has to say. He challenged Solo and Jacobatu
<v Speaker 2>to a tag team match, and Cody tried to make
<v Speaker 2>it a six man tag, but Kevin said no offense,
<v Speaker 2>but he already had a partner. It would just be
<v Speaker 2>him and Orton again, small tension growing that eventually would
<v Speaker 2>boil nearly nearly boil over in the main event. So, okay,
<v Speaker 2>we get a tag team match and yeah, it's somebody
<v Speaker 2>needs to turn I don't care if it's Cody, I
<v Speaker 2>don't care. If I'd love it could be Cody, most
<v Speaker 2>likely it's Randy Orton, because if Kevin Owens turns to heel,
<v Speaker 2>let me just say this, We've been there, done that
<v Speaker 2>with Cody, have we not. They already had their match.
<v Speaker 2>They could go around two with Kevin Owens and Cody
<v Speaker 2>with now Kevin Owens full heel, and it would really
<v Speaker 2>be in line with Kevin Owens' character in the past
<v Speaker 2>of what he's done, turning on his partners, turning on
<v Speaker 2>his friends. That's what he's made his career out of,
<v Speaker 2>So it would be very much in concert with what
<v Speaker 2>he's done in the past. It'd be very consistent. But
<v Speaker 2>Orton also has made a career out of sudden rkos
<v Speaker 2>and turns. And sure, even if Randy Orton turns heel,
<v Speaker 2>the crowd is still going to love the RKO. But
<v Speaker 2>I also do wonder, and I brought this up on
<v Speaker 2>my previous show, is if they turn Randy quote unquote,
<v Speaker 2>are the fans really going to turn on Randy or
<v Speaker 2>are they gonna say ollelujah. I have a sneaking suspicion
<v Speaker 2>that it won't be as successful with Randy as the heel.
<v Speaker 2>In that scenario, it'll be a fun match, fun program.
<v Speaker 2>We know what kind of build will get. It'll be
<v Speaker 2>a lot of fun. Because of their history with Legacy
<v Speaker 2>and just their history in general and their promos. It'd
<v Speaker 2>be great. But I do wonder how successful they'll be
<v Speaker 2>generally speaking with getting people to boo Randy Orton because
<v Speaker 2>people love Randy in a heel role. He's a legacy
<v Speaker 2>star and is still somehow in his prime twenty years later.
<v Speaker 2>It's incredible. The RKO is beloved and people I think
<v Speaker 2>have a strong loyalty to Randy Orton. People literally grew
<v Speaker 2>up in their childhood childhoods watching Randy Orton. I did.
<v Speaker 2>I mean, that wasn't out of the womb watching him.
<v Speaker 2>I was my let's say, when was it he first
<v Speaker 2>debuted in early two thousands. I was, you know, sixteen,
<v Speaker 2>seventeen years old when I first saw Randy Orton. I mean,
<v Speaker 2>so he's been with me the better part of my life.
<v Speaker 2>And I'm bringing that up to personalize it because a
<v Speaker 2>lot of people look at wrestling if you're long term fans,
<v Speaker 2>as part of your childhood, and I think that that
<v Speaker 2>may deter a lot of fans, the older ones anyway,
<v Speaker 2>like myself, from really booing Randy Orton and getting behind
<v Speaker 2>Cody on this one. So we'll see, we'll see if
<v Speaker 2>they pull the trigger. But it's a risk, it's a risk,
<v Speaker 2>and it's really surprising to me how now the fans
<v Speaker 2>really haven't totally turned on Cody yet. If it wasn't
<v Speaker 2>for that damn music which people have this response to,
<v Speaker 2>like this Pavlovian response of just sing along and whoa
<v Speaker 2>and all all the rest, all the pomp and circumstance
<v Speaker 2>and the fireworks and the posing and all all the
<v Speaker 2>nonsense that goes with that entrance, which is the song
<v Speaker 2>is catchy. It's very good, perfect entrance song, perfect baby
<v Speaker 2>face entrance music. It's just it is. But if it
<v Speaker 2>wasn't for that, I keep saying, I think it wouldn't
<v Speaker 2>be as successful for Cody. I think Cody would have
<v Speaker 2>more issues if his song sucked. Yeah. So, But Naomi
<v Speaker 2>and Bailey and a number one contenders match for the
<v Speaker 2>WWE Women's Championship, I believe at bad Blood good match
<v Speaker 2>here ten minutes long. Bailey at the end went for
<v Speaker 2>Bailey to belly, but Naomi avoided it and sent her
<v Speaker 2>face first into the turnbuckle. Naomi went up top and
<v Speaker 2>missed her attack, and Bailey landed the bailey to belly
<v Speaker 2>and a flying elbow for the victory. And after the match,
<v Speaker 2>Naomi was dejected, but she ended up patting Bailey on
<v Speaker 2>the back and then she started from the ramp looking
<v Speaker 2>angry as Bailey celebrated, and video was then shown a
<v Speaker 2>Velly Knight retaining its title. Okay, there's lots of rumors
<v Speaker 2>of heel turns and teases of heel turns. Xavier Woods
<v Speaker 2>turning on Kobe Kingston has not happened, but it might.
<v Speaker 2>We also, of course, have Randy Orton and or Kevin
<v Speaker 2>Owens turning on Cody, both of which I think should happen.
<v Speaker 2>And then we have now potentially Naomi turning heel. That
<v Speaker 2>was a small hint. I like these things, even if
<v Speaker 2>it hobnously goes nowhere and it's a and they know
<v Speaker 2>purposefully it's a path to nowhere and at least gets
<v Speaker 2>you thinking. At least gets you thinking. So I'd love
<v Speaker 2>to see a heel Naomi. She's done exactly nothing since
<v Speaker 2>she returned at the Rumble last year. Exactly nothing, precisely nothing.
<v Speaker 2>She's had almost no promo time, she's had televised matches
<v Speaker 2>here and there. She's still got a great entrance. She's
<v Speaker 2>still good to very good in the ring. I don't
<v Speaker 2>think she's outstanding, but she's good to very good, and
<v Speaker 2>I think there's a run in her. And it'd also
<v Speaker 2>be able to give her a new coat of paint,
<v Speaker 2>let fans see a different side of her that they
<v Speaker 2>haven't been able to see yet before she decides to
<v Speaker 2>call it a career. So we'll see. It's at least
<v Speaker 2>something you can hang your hat on and maybe look
<v Speaker 2>forward to with Naomi. I'm all for it, all right.
<v Speaker 2>Carmelo Hayes and Andrade sixteen year last I'm sorry, seventeen minutes,
<v Speaker 2>really good match. This ended with Hayes going up to
<v Speaker 2>the top rope and Andred avoiding the collision, and then
<v Speaker 2>Andrade landed a twisting back elbow and Hayes fell out
<v Speaker 2>of the ring. Knight's music hits, he comes down, runs
<v Speaker 2>to the ring, Andrade tried to keep him from interfering,
<v Speaker 2>but Hayes shoved Andrade in tonight and rolled him up
<v Speaker 2>for the victory, and after the match, Hayes headed for
<v Speaker 2>the hills immediately, and Night tried to offer Andrada a handshake,
<v Speaker 2>but he took off and refused. And then we got
<v Speaker 2>some video of the opening segment with Cody and Cody
<v Speaker 2>and Randy and all that all the rest. So I
<v Speaker 2>like this. I think Carmelo Hayes still is trying to
<v Speaker 2>find his identity. They don't know what to do with
<v Speaker 2>him yet. He's been positioned both as a heel and
<v Speaker 2>as the babyface, and they haven't really landed quite on
<v Speaker 2>what they're going to do with him. This week he
<v Speaker 2>was the babyface role, but at the time at times
<v Speaker 2>he's acted like a total ignorant, you know, pompous jerk,
<v Speaker 2>and the fans boot him. So yeah, I mean they're
<v Speaker 2>testing the waters, trying to find where Carmelo fits in.
<v Speaker 2>We know he's very good in the ring, and he
<v Speaker 2>has a fairly established character and knows who what he is,
<v Speaker 2>but the fans don't know yet, and they'll figure that
<v Speaker 2>out along the way. This isn't a complaint, by the way,
<v Speaker 2>to log my complaint. You know, if you guys are
<v Speaker 2>keeping score at home, this is not one in the
<v Speaker 2>column of complaints. This is one and just the il
<v Speaker 2>column of observation, but also compliment because the fans continue
<v Speaker 2>to react to Carmelo even if a lot of them
<v Speaker 2>didn't watch him in NXT. It also gives Andrada something
<v Speaker 2>to do. He's kind of in the same boat in
<v Speaker 2>a different way that they haven't done much with him
<v Speaker 2>in character development anyway since he came back, and I'd
<v Speaker 2>like to see them do something with him other than
<v Speaker 2>have me call him Santos Escobar every week, which I've
<v Speaker 2>I keep doing that because they have the same hairstyle,
<v Speaker 2>Latino background. They wrestle this very similarly, so I keep
<v Speaker 2>calling Andrade Santos Escobar. So I did that for like
<v Speaker 2>twenty minutes last week of the week before. So my bet.
<v Speaker 2>But two guys, I think that you could get easily
<v Speaker 2>another match out of if he wanted, all right, and
<v Speaker 2>also the interference of La Knight minor appearance by Night.
<v Speaker 2>But now it gives him two opponents if they want
<v Speaker 2>to go that way to work with. And Knight does
<v Speaker 2>need people to work with. I mean, he is still
<v Speaker 2>fresh in his US title run. He's just getting going.
<v Speaker 2>It'd be nice to have him have some locks, some
<v Speaker 2>really fun matches with opponents that probably aren't gonna win,
<v Speaker 2>but you know you'll get a great match out of
<v Speaker 2>That's what these two do and what they are, so sure,
<v Speaker 2>bring it on. I mean, even if it's a triple threat,
<v Speaker 2>we get a couple of triple threats, we get a
<v Speaker 2>couple of singles again with Santos, even though Santos, yeah,
<v Speaker 2>obviously he's faced la A a couple of times with Andrade
<v Speaker 2>and Carmelo. You could get a triple threat if you
<v Speaker 2>want to throw Santos in there, you could do a
<v Speaker 2>fiddle four way. But I feel like we've been there,
<v Speaker 2>done that, so all right. Continuing on with SmackDown, Machin
<v Speaker 2>gets a victory, probably the biggest victory of her career,
<v Speaker 2>beating Piper Niven in eight and a half minutes, and
<v Speaker 2>it was a clean victory. Of course, Chelsea Green was involved,
<v Speaker 2>but she got knocked off the apron and that's when
<v Speaker 2>Meechen landed eat defeat and Piper went down for the loss. Here,
<v Speaker 2>so after the match, we had the announcing plug of
<v Speaker 2>Mechin versus Chelsea in a dumpster match next week. This

<v Speaker 2>men being Cody, if you want to include him. But again,
<v Speaker 2>I don't think he's turning heel for at least another year.
<v Speaker 2>If they do it at all with Cody, I think
<v Speaker 2>it's gonna the only way that WW is gonna turn
<v Speaker 2>Cody heel is that the will it to happen. It's
<v Speaker 2>the only way because W is no interest in turning
<v Speaker 2>Cody roads heel. They're not touching it. They haven't really
<v Speaker 2>done much with his character at all, actually, like just
<v Speaker 2>objectively looking at it. Besides my hatred for the character,
<v Speaker 2>stepping back and looking at it, they just haven't done
<v Speaker 2>much with it. It's the same poses, the same kinds
<v Speaker 2>of promos, the same suit wearing guy. Like, they haven't
<v Speaker 2>done much. They haven't. They just kind of have plateaued him.
<v Speaker 2>Even his programs thus far since winning at WrestleMania have
<v Speaker 2>been really kind of flat. No, like, you know, he's
<v Speaker 2>gonna have good matches, but like there's very little excitement
<v Speaker 2>in his matches because the outcome is extremely extremely predictable
<v Speaker 2>and it's not always a bad thing, but you know,
<v Speaker 2>with this kind of victory, the significance of what it meant,
<v Speaker 2>and that essentially, this victory of having Cody Roads beat
<v Speaker 2>Roman Reigns for the title, which he nearly had for
<v Speaker 2>four years, that was the face of the New era.
<v Speaker 2>That was the moment the new era really began and
<v Speaker 2>was wrung in was that moment of Cody beating Roman.
<v Speaker 2>All the tears and Samantha Irvin crying on the microphone
<v Speaker 2>and all the nonsense, but that was it was absolutely
<v Speaker 2>a significant moment. And you're not going to have that
<v Speaker 2>significant moment wiped away in just a few months, really,
<v Speaker 2>not even after a year. I don't think, I mean
<v Speaker 2>were I'm not going to be talking about Cody Roads
<v Speaker 2>losing that title until WrestleMania forty one at the bare minimum.
<v Speaker 2>So that kind of also undercuts his run because you're
<v Speaker 2>looking at this and saying, well, yeah, okay, well sure, yeah.
<v Speaker 2>Even if Andy turns, he's not going to win. He's
<v Speaker 2>a legacy star, you know, but not going to happen.
<v Speaker 2>You know, Kevin Owens, he's a perennial main event loser.
<v Speaker 2>And I mean that respectfully. I don't mean he's a
<v Speaker 2>loser as in a character. But he's he gets to
<v Speaker 2>the main event challenge for the title, you know, he's
<v Speaker 2>gonna lose just by default. That's who that's his part
<v Speaker 2>of his identity is that. So you could have Aga Stas,
<v Speaker 2>but you know, Agias Stall's kind of in the same
<v Speaker 2>boat as Randy, big legacy star, but beyond having a
<v Speaker 2>really good match, which he's obviously still very capable of,
<v Speaker 2>I believe with Aga Stalles, you know, he's not in
<v Speaker 2>a position to carry that championship Cody is. So again
<v Speaker 2>my point is Cody Roads run thus far, I think
<v Speaker 2>I can objectively say has just been kind of lank,
<v Speaker 2>kind of boring kind So all right, the Dumpster match
<v Speaker 2>next week should be fun, but let's continue. That's uh,
<v Speaker 2>we'll see what happens there. So CoA and Fatuo versus
<v Speaker 2>Orton and Owens. This match went fifteen minutes, nearly with
<v Speaker 2>Fatu and Solo beating Randy Orton and Cody Roads after
<v Speaker 2>Let's see the finish here, Fatu tossing Cody under the
<v Speaker 2>rope from into the referee, which prevented him from making
<v Speaker 2>the cover. When Owen's hit a center on Solo Tangaloa
<v Speaker 2>and h Toangaloa dragged Orton onto the outside, and then
<v Speaker 2>Fatu landed a series of super kicks and Solo rolled
<v Speaker 2>on top of him to get the victory. And after
<v Speaker 2>the match, Owens shoved Cody and teased an argument, and
<v Speaker 2>Orton entered the ring and calmed things down and everybody
<v Speaker 2>hugged it out. So you know, I don't even know
<v Speaker 2>why I comment on the quality of matches at this
<v Speaker 2>point with guys like this, because it's never an issue.
<v Speaker 2>The finish made sense. I guess if you're trying to
<v Speaker 2>create the narrative that there's an issue between these three,
<v Speaker 2>and that nearly came to blows with Kevin Owens getting
<v Speaker 2>in the face of Cody Rhoads and then Randy Orton
<v Speaker 2>comes in and I'm thinking, all right, is Randy Orton
<v Speaker 2>got to hit a double RKA? Is there any earon
<v Speaker 2>get it? What's happening here. You were waiting for the
<v Speaker 2>RCAO to get hit. You're waiting for Kevin Owens to
<v Speaker 2>snap your way, I mean, and nothing happened. I think
<v Speaker 2>they're waiting for that moment on a bigger stage, in
<v Speaker 2>a bigger moment. Hint hint, maybe this Saturday at bad Blood.
<v Speaker 2>Some food for thought. My official predictions are forthcoming. But this,
<v Speaker 2>this is fine. It's a fun way to end Raw.

<v Speaker 2>dark and serious. I can respect Punk's ability on the microphone.
<v Speaker 2>It's how he's made his living that was extremely contrived
<v Speaker 2>two weeks ago, But this past week, Drew mcatyre kind
<v Speaker 2>of did the same thing old Drew, although Drew already
<v Speaker 2>has a naturally, you know, deeper voice than does Punk,
<v Speaker 2>so it didn't sound it's weird when he was being
<v Speaker 2>a little bit more solemn, But you know, Drew mcatire
<v Speaker 2>did what he needed to do, basically saying that you
<v Speaker 2>know you're gonna need to kill me too, and my
<v Speaker 2>wife and kids have begged me not to do this
<v Speaker 2>and all all the rest of it, And you know,
<v Speaker 2>I think it is something that is significant when you
<v Speaker 2>have your they're talking about their family members begging them
<v Speaker 2>not to do a match, and I bet you there
<v Speaker 2>is a sliver of truth on that. I bet you
<v Speaker 2>there really is. You know that they are concerned, at
<v Speaker 2>least in reality. I'm sure they're concerned about the well
<v Speaker 2>being of their husbands. Yeah, it's a brutal match. Things happen,
<v Speaker 2>especially it's seeing Bunk's age and his fragility. Now, he
<v Speaker 2>did take a hell of a beating in the in
<v Speaker 2>the the uh was it the Texas bull rope Match?
<v Speaker 2>The strap match? Rather with Drew and he came out
<v Speaker 2>seemingly unscathed. But the hell in us hell is a
<v Speaker 2>different animal. So the concern of the wives is actually
<v Speaker 2>pretty plausible and as I said, probably a sliver of
<v Speaker 2>truth in that. All right, we continue to also get
<v Speaker 2>the the you know, the uh rejection of Sammy Zane's
<v Speaker 2>proposal to challenge gun Through for the world title. I
<v Speaker 2>continue to love this. Gunther has rejected him four times
<v Speaker 2>in a row. Now comes out this week after Sammy's
<v Speaker 2>am was in a match with Ludwig Kaiser and he
<v Speaker 2>beats Kaiser and he, you know, he said he's had
<v Speaker 2>enough and he's just you know, all the rest of it,
<v Speaker 2>and he's saying, I'm gonna I finally had enough. You
<v Speaker 2>want it? Well, my answer is no, and he leaves.
<v Speaker 2>It's great. Gunther is a professional troll. Is a professional
<v Speaker 2>wrestling troll. And that sounds like a derogatory, demeaning term.
<v Speaker 2>It's a compliment to to the ability of Gunther to
<v Speaker 2>not just be a badass in ring. Look the part
<v Speaker 2>all the you know, pro mobility has has skyrocketed, I think,
<v Speaker 2>but to understand how to troll the fans and do
<v Speaker 2>it in a way that even if it's scripted and
<v Speaker 2>obviously he's told to do this that he executes so well,
<v Speaker 2>now you know that this coming week, unraw Sammy will
<v Speaker 2>find a way to coerce Adam Pierce or course Gunther
<v Speaker 2>himself into giving him a world title shot at Bad Blood.
<v Speaker 2>That's the story we're being led to, and that's the
<v Speaker 2>story that should be told. Do I think Sammy's ain
<v Speaker 2>should win? Hell No, not a chance. No, The answer
<v Speaker 2>is a far and away nah, bra No, because Gunther
<v Speaker 2>also is just getting going as world champion as the
<v Speaker 2>counterpart to Cody Rhoads. Obviously, Gunther in a much less
<v Speaker 2>prestigious spot. He was not the main event of WrestleMania.
<v Speaker 2>He is not being hailed as the face of the
<v Speaker 2>new era. So that said, Gunther is the workhorse champion.
<v Speaker 2>He's like the intercontinental champion of world champions. If that
<v Speaker 2>makes none that doesn't make any sense. Not gonna even
<v Speaker 2>try to fool myself. But you know, Cody Roads, I'm sorry,
<v Speaker 2>Gunther and Sammy are probably gonna have a potential match
<v Speaker 2>of the night on their hands, even more than Drew
<v Speaker 2>and Punk. Not saying something I don't. I'm not predicting
<v Speaker 2>it'll happen. I'm saying there's a possibility it could happen
<v Speaker 2>given the ability of these two. They've worked well together,
<v Speaker 2>They've worked on big stages together. They I mean, the
<v Speaker 2>biggest stage possible they worked together on at WrestleMania forty
<v Speaker 2>this past year with the Intercontinental title on the line.
<v Speaker 2>So so I'm enjoying this. And when was the last
<v Speaker 2>time you had somebody outright reject another person's challenge four
<v Speaker 2>times in a row. I can't even recount it. I
<v Speaker 2>don't know, I don't know, but I'm loving what the
<v Speaker 2>character of Gunther has become a r I'm not gonna
<v Speaker 2>go through every detail here of every match. Let's let's
<v Speaker 2>move on here, dragon Ly versus Carlito, with Dragonly beating
<v Speaker 2>carl Ito in about two and a half minutes, we
<v Speaker 2>had Strowman and Bronson reed can do their destruction. Miss
<v Speaker 2>h was destroyed as well, And I mean, it's just
<v Speaker 2>kind of the way that Miss is not. Miss is
<v Speaker 2>in a weird spot right now in his career. Our
<v Speaker 2>truth has gone by the wayside, So the fun loving
<v Speaker 2>our truth and miss feeling has faded, and you're left
<v Speaker 2>with just the Miss, which is not again not a
<v Speaker 2>slight on the miss, but that's where he's at. He's
<v Speaker 2>held his own for most of his career as a
<v Speaker 2>single star. I just don't know where you place him.
<v Speaker 2>Do you put the miss in the intercontinent title situation?
<v Speaker 2>I think that's a strong possibility. With jay Uso that
<v Speaker 2>may not be the worst thing in the world. So

<v Speaker 2>how much longer I'm gonna say I love it before

<v Speaker 2>gonna start feeling that kind of way. We'll see. I

<v Speaker 2>of Stroman and Read. These two still have a lot
<v Speaker 2>to give, but it's not a long term story, not
<v Speaker 2>meant to be. I don't want them to try to
<v Speaker 2>force it into one. All right. We got Eoski and
<v Speaker 2>Kyrie Saye versus Albha Fire and Island don this week,
<v Speaker 2>with Eyo, Sky and Kyrie Say beating Alba Fire and
<v Speaker 2>Island Dawn in just under ten minutes. We had Julius
<v Speaker 2>Creed and Brutus Creed versus the New Day, and Julius
<v Speaker 2>and Brutus Creed the Creed Brothers beat the New Day
<v Speaker 2>in fifteen minutes. That also continues to frustrate Exavier Woods.
<v Speaker 2>And we'll see how long that bonding lasts. I don't
<v Speaker 2>think it's going to be too much longer before you'll
<v Speaker 2>see those two splitsville. They keep pushing the November, the
<v Speaker 2>November ten year anniversary of the New Day debuting, so
<v Speaker 2>I think and know that that would be the perfect
<v Speaker 2>place to do it. There's no need to get cute
<v Speaker 2>about it and all that. But I would also anticipate
<v Speaker 2>Big Eie to make a cameo appearance at the November
<v Speaker 2>Big Eie or the November event whenever that is. I
<v Speaker 2>got to find the exact date, but Big Eie should
<v Speaker 2>absolutely be there.

<v Speaker 2>Is he back for an in ring capacity? I don't know.
<v Speaker 2>We'll find out maybe at that point too. We also
<v Speaker 2>had in the main event bron Breaker versus jay Usso
<v Speaker 2>for the Inner Continental Championship. Shocker. I mean that genuinely.
<v Speaker 2>I had no plans for jay Us to win the
<v Speaker 2>title here. But as I've said in the past and
<v Speaker 2>others have said, you need to keep very very much
<v Speaker 2>in mind the positioning of matches on the card, particularly
<v Speaker 2>for televised, big main events like this, because if they
<v Speaker 2>had done this in the middle of the show, which
<v Speaker 2>I thought that would do, I thought that would make
<v Speaker 2>the innercondental title, the you know, the middle the like
<v Speaker 2>our two main event or something. They didn't. They made
<v Speaker 2>his main event of the whole show, which I don't
<v Speaker 2>have a problem with at all, but it did signal
<v Speaker 2>to me and to others that if you're watching a while,
<v Speaker 2>you're like, hmm, well, that just increased the chances of
<v Speaker 2>something bigger happening here. And sure enough they did. The
<v Speaker 2>match wasn't great, They didn't have a ton of time.
<v Speaker 2>It was fine. It's about the outcome, though, and Jay
<v Speaker 2>us So getting the victory, and he'll have his victory
<v Speaker 2>speech this week and he'll, you know, just thank the
<v Speaker 2>fans and say it's about damn time, and it is.
<v Speaker 2>Jus So absolutely deserves a singles star run with a championship.
<v Speaker 2>He absolutely does. And perhaps they said, we got to
<v Speaker 2>pull the trigger now before he gets sucked back into
<v Speaker 2>the New Day or the bloodline stuff. We got to
<v Speaker 2>give it to him now have a month or month
<v Speaker 2>and a half run, or we'll keep him with the
<v Speaker 2>belt and then after the bloodline bloodline story or matches
<v Speaker 2>over at Survivors series, so go back to you know,
<v Speaker 2>regularly schedule programming with the Intercontinental title on Raw. So
<v Speaker 2>I don't know what their plan is, but either way,
<v Speaker 2>they felt that pulling the trigger now was a better call.
<v Speaker 2>Now for bron Breaker, I don't think he's going to
<v Speaker 2>be too too damaged by this. He can come back
<v Speaker 2>next week with Spear Spear Spear Spear Spear, which I
<v Speaker 2>anticipate him to do on jay Uso. I don't think
<v Speaker 2>he's going to let this go. That's not what his
<v Speaker 2>character does, be very inconsistent. So I think you're gonna
<v Speaker 2>have bron Breaker and jay Uso part two with Jade
<v Speaker 2>defending the Intercontinental title against Broun Breaker and it could
<v Speaker 2>be a bad Blood, but likely not likely at a
<v Speaker 2>Raw after Bad Blood. So again, big to the show.
<v Speaker 2>You heard the crowd pop for it, and I will
<v Speaker 2>say that it's it was deserving. You're not there very
<v Speaker 2>often for an Intercontinental title title change, or that for
<v Speaker 2>that matter, any title change. I mean seeing a title
<v Speaker 2>change is a rare event, you know, for for most people,
<v Speaker 2>most people haven't seen title changes on a RAW or
<v Speaker 2>SmackDown doesn't happen too often. Now, if you go to
<v Speaker 2>a pl you got a very high chance of at
<v Speaker 2>least one championship changing hands. When you go to a
<v Speaker 2>when you go to a televised event like HI Our
<v Speaker 2>SmackDown or n XT, you're thinking, okay, there's there's some chance.
<v Speaker 2>But it's the positioning of the matches that make all
<v Speaker 2>the difference. The positioning of the matches kind of tell you,
<v Speaker 2>especially for the main event, where they might be going
<v Speaker 2>or what they're setting the stage to do. And in
<v Speaker 2>this case, we know what that was, and that's to
<v Speaker 2>make Jay Uso inter Continental Champion. So that'll do it
