<v Speaker 4>It is Sunday, March shirtieth, twenty twenty five, as we
<v Speaker 4>creep closer to April, and it can't come soon enough.
<v Speaker 4>Whether you just want the winter and the cold to
<v Speaker 4>be over, or whether you're looking forward to WrestleMania, I
<v Speaker 4>would hope that you are if you're listening to the show,
<v Speaker 4>or if you are a baseball fan and you are
<v Speaker 4>just thrilled that the baseball season is underway, or if
<v Speaker 4>you're an NFL fan the NFL Draft coming to in
<v Speaker 4>just a couple of weeks. It's a great time right
<v Speaker 4>now because it's just up from here. There's you know,
<v Speaker 4>winter behind us, You've got the sports in front of us,
<v Speaker 4>and no matter what sport you're into, there's something going on.
<v Speaker 4>And NBA playoffs are around the corner. NHL same thing.
<v Speaker 4>So it's a great time. And especially if you're a
<v Speaker 4>pro wrestling fan, because as I just mentioned, we have
<v Speaker 4>WrestleMania in three weeks. Three weeks from right now, we
<v Speaker 4>will be close to the main event of the show
<v Speaker 4>with Cody Rhodes versus John Cena, and we're going to
<v Speaker 4>talk about that and all that that entailed this week,
<v Speaker 4>and the fact that John Cena's final appearance before WrestleMania
<v Speaker 4>forty one is purportedly going to be tomorrow night on
<v Speaker 4>Monday Night Raw. So that is something that is just
<v Speaker 4>I don't know if inexcusable is the word. I don't
<v Speaker 4>know what to use on that other than I gus
<v Speaker 4>it's just disappointing. I think that it's been a weird build.
<v Speaker 4>That that was the word I used last night of
<v Speaker 4>the mail bag. And yes, we'll get to some voicemails
<v Speaker 4>hopefully at the end of the show for those that
<v Speaker 4>called in. We'll try to cram in some that didn't
<v Speaker 4>make it on last night's mailbag. Weird is the word
<v Speaker 4>of this build to WrestleMania. Do you remember about I
<v Speaker 4>don't know, four or five weeks, five weeks ago, six
<v Speaker 4>weeks ago, before the Elimination Chamber, many of us, including myself,
<v Speaker 4>said that this doesn't feel like a road WrestleMania build.
<v Speaker 4>It feels just kind of like a regular pl build.
<v Speaker 4>It doesn't feel like WrestleMania. Doesn't feel right. Something's off.
<v Speaker 4>Maybe it's the stal lack of star power that the
<v Speaker 4>fact that the Rock was in and out and he's
<v Speaker 4>a babyface, then he's Dwayne, then he's back to being
<v Speaker 4>the Final Boss, and it wasn't really clear what they
<v Speaker 4>were doing. And then he said he's not wrestling, but
<v Speaker 4>he's going to do something different, and then you know,
<v Speaker 4>Den Johnson a turnt heel, and then the world gets
<v Speaker 4>set ablaze and we think we're on the road to
<v Speaker 4>WrestleMania again in a more traditional sense. And we were
<v Speaker 4>up until maybe last week where even the week before
<v Speaker 4>when John Cena cut his promo and I was a
<v Speaker 4>big fan of it, and I still stand by that.
<v Speaker 4>I'm not changing my opinions on his promo. I generally
<v Speaker 4>thought it was good, really good. Last week was a
<v Speaker 4>little bit kind of strange with his threats to make
<v Speaker 4>wrestling ruin wrestling for us, but then saying he's gonna leave,
<v Speaker 4>and I poke tolls in that logic last night. I
<v Speaker 4>won't rehash that, but Cody Rhodes just being mister controlled
<v Speaker 4>and not charging John Cena made no sense. Not talking
<v Speaker 4>about The Rock at all makes no sense at all
<v Speaker 4>because he's a guy that is at the top of
<v Speaker 4>the company, on the board of directors. He's one of
<v Speaker 4>the biggest stars the company's ever produced. And yet with
<v Speaker 4>this biggest likely and when we look back on history,
<v Speaker 4>it'll be looked at as one of the biggest heel
<v Speaker 4>turns in the company's history with John Cena, and he
<v Speaker 4>is a big part of the reason why we get
<v Speaker 4>no mention of the Rock, Why he did it? What
<v Speaker 4>could John seen? His motivations be of collaborating with the Rock,
<v Speaker 4>all of that. So it's been weird. It's been up
<v Speaker 4>and down, left and right. It hasn't been very consistent,
<v Speaker 4>hasn't been very steady. And I don't know what to
<v Speaker 4>make of this year. I know a lot of people
<v Speaker 4>and I had emailers last night say to me that
<v Speaker 4>it was just kind of and it has been a
<v Speaker 4>very bad build to WrestleMania. It's been, in some people's eyes,
<v Speaker 4>one of the worst builds to WrestleMania that they can remember.
<v Speaker 4>I wouldn't put it in that category. Again. The word
<v Speaker 4>I can only think of is weird. But what I
<v Speaker 4>did stress last night, and I'll continue to stress on
<v Speaker 4>the road to WrestleMania as we close out the last
<v Speaker 4>three weeks here. The builds are fun, the builds are important.
<v Speaker 4>The builds are marketing for the company to get you
<v Speaker 4>to purchase the event, or to get you to purchase
<v Speaker 4>tickets to the event for one or two nights, or
<v Speaker 4>by merch or whatever the case. But ultimately, this build
<v Speaker 4>is going to be forgotten if the execution is more
<v Speaker 4>well done than the build was. I'd rather have a
<v Speaker 4>build that was bad and an execution that was good
<v Speaker 4>than the reverse. So I think that's what's going to
<v Speaker 4>happen in this case. We saw with Triple h last
<v Speaker 4>year he'd put on a really good WrestleMania, one that
<v Speaker 4>made a lot of people happy, particularly with the finish
<v Speaker 4>of WrestleMania, and many looked at last year's WrestleMania as
<v Speaker 4>the best five minutes to the of WrestleMania main event
<v Speaker 4>in history. I don't think it was. I mean, it
<v Speaker 4>was exciting in the sense that we had a lot
<v Speaker 4>of you know, nineties attitude erastars come out. Some of
<v Speaker 4>them made no sense, like the Undertaker. The Undertaker appearing
<v Speaker 4>was a really a weird place, and I know him
<v Speaker 4>over using that word. But the Undertaker being at last
<v Speaker 4>year's WrestleMania was cool for Taker, cool for Mark Callaway,
<v Speaker 4>but it didn't make any sense from any perspective, even
<v Speaker 4>if you're really stretching to try to connect the Undertaker
<v Speaker 4>to anybody in that story of why the Undertaker would
<v Speaker 4>care to choke slam the Rock? What does he care?
<v Speaker 4>He was a fill in for Austin who didn't make
<v Speaker 4>it because of money. So this year, hopefully it's different.
<v Speaker 4>Hopefully we I don't mind if Undertaker shows up, but
<v Speaker 4>man if Austin who is going to be at the
<v Speaker 4>at a sign, meet and greet, you know who's going
<v Speaker 4>to be likely sitting in the Hall of Fame in
<v Speaker 4>the audience. He's scheduled for several events pre Mania. He
<v Speaker 4>lives in Vegas, for the love of God. If he
<v Speaker 4>doesn't appear at WrestleMania to deliver a stunner, I don't
<v Speaker 4>know what we're doing. Yes, I'm going to continue to
<v Speaker 4>hammer that home. It's a blank check as far as
<v Speaker 4>I'm concerned, and it's not my money, which is why
<v Speaker 4>I'm so eagerly easy and willing to spend it we
<v Speaker 4>all are. Anytime we're talking about sports and teams and
<v Speaker 4>who they should sign. It's not our money, so we
<v Speaker 4>don't care, right But honestly, if I was the one
<v Speaker 4>who was in charge of getting Austin to agree to this,
<v Speaker 4>I would I would say, Okay, Austin, name your price
<v Speaker 4>and we'll just sign. Let's go. You know, we're gonna
<v Speaker 4>make so much money on WrestleMania weekend. This will be
<v Speaker 4>a moment people will never forget. So with all that
<v Speaker 4>introduction to the show, welcome to the WUE Podcast. As
<v Speaker 4>we are three weeks out from WrestleMania, the shows are
<v Speaker 4>going to get I think, more intense as we get closer.
<v Speaker 4>Enjoy John Seena's final appearance here. Enjoy it. But also
<v Speaker 4>which is getting people all up in arms about something
<v Speaker 4>I said on X Yeah that it's been like we're
<v Speaker 4>in the twilight zone the last three weeks with Raw
<v Speaker 4>being overseas. Finally they come back to the States. It's
<v Speaker 4>the final Raw, the final televised event over there in
<v Speaker 4>the European countries from London Tomorrow night, Monday Night Raw
<v Speaker 4>and the O two Arena. I expect big things. I
<v Speaker 4>do again. John Scene is there, but Finally we get
<v Speaker 4>back to the States, and we get back to a
<v Speaker 4>crowd that is one of the more vicious crowd one
<v Speaker 4>of the more honest crowds, one of the best acoustic buildings,
<v Speaker 4>according to a lot of the wrestlers that have worked there,
<v Speaker 4>the All State Arena and in Chicago for SmackDown, you
<v Speaker 4>can bet your ass that Seampunk will be there. But
<v Speaker 4>it's gonna be nice to get back to the States.
<v Speaker 4>And not because I care about the time and I
<v Speaker 4>get to watch RAW at my time. I don't watch
<v Speaker 4>Raw live, so it doesn't matter to me. In fact
<v Speaker 4>that I prefer that WWE does their shows earlier so
<v Speaker 4>that you can get the results earlier, and maybe you
<v Speaker 4>can I can post the show that same day, but
<v Speaker 4>they're back in reality, that's what I feel like. No
<v Speaker 4>disrespect to the overseas crowds. It's been fun. You guys
<v Speaker 4>are allowed, Yes you are, and I do applaud you
<v Speaker 4>for that, I genuinely do. You guys are putting us
<v Speaker 4>to shame over here in the States. You're embarrassing us
<v Speaker 4>in the States. But WWE knows that North America, particularly
<v Speaker 4>the United States, is its home base, and what the
<v Speaker 4>crowd reacts to there usually goes because they're here eighty
<v Speaker 4>percent of the time. Now, WWE has made themselves a
<v Speaker 4>much more global entity. They've clearly implemented a global strategy
<v Speaker 4>for expansion, and I think it's generally been pretty successful.
<v Speaker 4>I mean the hell I know it has because they're
<v Speaker 4>selling out everywhere they go and overpricing their tickets and
<v Speaker 4>people are paying it and you guys are allowed. But
<v Speaker 4>I will be very excited to have the States come
<v Speaker 4>back to you know, bring us back to reality. It's
<v Speaker 4>it's been a fun dream. Now it's time to wake
<v Speaker 4>up on Friday night for SmackDown, and then from SmackDown
<v Speaker 4>they go to Monday Net Raw in Minneapolis, then Seattle
<v Speaker 4>for SmackDown, Sacramento for Raw, and then Vegas the night
<v Speaker 4>before WrestleMania, obviously in the same city for SmackDown, which
<v Speaker 4>is going to be nothing more than just one big
<v Speaker 4>show of talking and video packages to promote the ne tonight.
<v Speaker 4>I really I would not want to be on that
<v Speaker 4>Friday night's maac noow. Now, I could be proven wrong
<v Speaker 4>and there's some big return that changes the whole course
<v Speaker 4>of WrestleMania, which is possible, but I would not want
<v Speaker 4>to be at Vegas for the stem I SmackDown before,
<v Speaker 4>so that's me. Now there is going to be a
<v Speaker 4>WrestleMania after Dark. That's something that I don't know what
<v Speaker 4>this is. I've been trying to figure what this is.
<v Speaker 4>It's going to be Live Morgan and Brown Breaker. I
<v Speaker 4>guess I don't know what this is supposed to be.
<v Speaker 4>I'm not sure. It's Friday, April eighteenth at eleven. Is
<v Speaker 4>it just a place that it's a it's a club
<v Speaker 4>that these two people are going to be like Live
<v Speaker 4>and Brawn are going to be there. I don't know.
<v Speaker 4>I would imagine that it's a kind of a club
<v Speaker 4>that is in Vegas that's going to host these two people,
<v Speaker 4>kind of like when you know, what was it Jersey Shore, Like,
<v Speaker 4>you know, it's the situation he's gonna be there djaying
<v Speaker 4>or something that kind of thing. Anyway, they stole my
<v Speaker 4>after Dark marketing and I'm gonna sue. All right, So
<v Speaker 4>let's get into this week in WWE as we get
<v Speaker 4>closer to WrestleMania. All right, So let's cover SmackDown and
<v Speaker 4>SmackDown came to us from London and we had seth
<v Speaker 4>Rollins shown walking backstage security guards were waiting to escort
<v Speaker 4>him for the contract signing segment, and we had Charlotte
<v Speaker 4>Flair backstage of Anyway, backstage shots of meechin l A Knight,
<v Speaker 4>so forth. Cody Rhodes comes out wearing a warm up
<v Speaker 4>jacket instead of his suit, so we got the you know,
<v Speaker 4>the windbreaker Cody and crowd loved him out, loved him,
<v Speaker 4>and the fans sang along and said he'll face John
<v Speaker 4>sen at WrestleMania forty one, and he noted that Sceena
<v Speaker 4>will be trying to break the record for most world
<v Speaker 4>title wins. He said, that's Russell Manna forty one, but
<v Speaker 4>he's standing in the ring with Sena in just a
<v Speaker 4>few days in the same arena. And that's when Randy
<v Speaker 4>Orton comes out and the fans sang along, and he
<v Speaker 4>said that you know, look at you, you're the man.
<v Speaker 4>Now look at what you came where you came from.
<v Speaker 4>The fans sang along, and you know, basically one big
<v Speaker 4>makeout session between the fans and Cody, and Orton said
<v Speaker 4>Cody wasn't happy and he needed to grow outside the business.
<v Speaker 4>Orton said it took some big ass balls for Cody
<v Speaker 4>to leave. Orton credited Cody with changing the industry and
<v Speaker 4>said all the guys and girls backs know it, backstage
<v Speaker 4>know it, and Cody knows how much he he appreciates it.
<v Speaker 4>Some fans continue to sing Cody's name, Cody Roads, Cody,
<v Speaker 4>Cody Rodes right. That's that's the thing. I guess that's
<v Speaker 4>done overseas. We'll see if it gets if it's contagious
<v Speaker 4>here in the States, I don't know. I doubt it.
<v Speaker 4>But maybe some of the chants we've heard the last
<v Speaker 4>few weeks will translate over to the United States. We'll see.
<v Speaker 4>I don't know. But Orton said that he'd sing along
<v Speaker 4>with them, but they might leave. And Orton asked the
<v Speaker 4>crowd if they remember when Cody faced Seth and Helen
<v Speaker 4>a cell. Orton said it was impressive and impossible. Orton
<v Speaker 4>said Cody started the match with a partially torn pack
<v Speaker 4>and finished the match with a fully torn pack, which
<v Speaker 4>is actually not true at all. That's a in fact,
<v Speaker 4>I have to take issue. I love you, Orton, but
<v Speaker 4>it's well documented in several different interviews for different you know,
<v Speaker 4>for a different docuseries, that Cody had already fully torn
<v Speaker 4>the pack and that the reason he did the match
<v Speaker 4>is because there wasn't any more damage he could do
<v Speaker 4>to that pack during the match, So that's it's just
<v Speaker 4>that's just false. So sorry, Orton, calling you out. But
<v Speaker 4>Orton said Cody sucked it up and worked through the
<v Speaker 4>match for the fans and went on to finish his story.
<v Speaker 4>But Orton said, there's always another one, and Orton said
<v Speaker 4>ticket sales are up and there's more intrigue on the
<v Speaker 4>company than there's ever been. And he said it's ninety
<v Speaker 4>nine point nine percent due to Cody. Okay, Orton, another
<v Speaker 4>fact check here. I understand that this is a just
<v Speaker 4>an ambiguous number you throw out of ninety nine point nine. No,
<v Speaker 4>it's not even close to ninety nine point nine. If
<v Speaker 4>I was to put a percentage on it, which is
<v Speaker 4>really hard to quantify, no, I would say that the
<v Speaker 4>reason that WWE is so hot right now is I mean,
<v Speaker 4>probably twenty percent due to Cody Roads and eighty percent
<v Speaker 4>everybody else, because there are a lot of other people
<v Speaker 4>on the roster, but I think Cody is one of
<v Speaker 4>the biggest singular reasons that the business is where it is.
<v Speaker 4>But a lot of it has to do with the
<v Speaker 4>book and the change of management and Vince McMahon being
<v Speaker 4>ousted and everything else. Right, the fact that they've implemented
<v Speaker 4>a global strategy again, the creative has been generally better
<v Speaker 4>than it was under Vince McMahon, and they're doing a
<v Speaker 4>good job at building bigger stars and continuing the cycle.
<v Speaker 4>It's not that Cody Rhoades came in and the company
<v Speaker 4>was flailing. Remember he only came in three years ago.
<v Speaker 4>The company was still at that point on the rise,
<v Speaker 4>even with Vince McMahon still in charge. So, no, Cody
<v Speaker 4>is not ninety nine point nine percent responsible, you know.
<v Speaker 4>I mean, there are hundreds and hundreds of other people
<v Speaker 4>who get that show to where it is, from the
<v Speaker 4>production team to the creative, the marketing, the other wrestlers,
<v Speaker 4>men and women, the commentators. Right, it's it's a group
<v Speaker 4>of effort. What Orton's saying essentially means that it's not
<v Speaker 4>a group effort. It was only Cody and Cody alone
<v Speaker 4>that is responsible for the WWE's success. Orton, what the
<v Speaker 4>hell are you talking about again? I love your Orton,
<v Speaker 4>I do, I do, but some of the things here
<v Speaker 4>are just too egregious not to call out. There's another
<v Speaker 4>one so here's where things settle down. We could get
<v Speaker 4>back to business here, and he says that he respects him,
<v Speaker 4>he's proud of him, but it's time for WrestleMania, and
<v Speaker 4>he got excited about imagining kicking Kevin Owens his head
<v Speaker 4>off of his shoulders. But I mean, okay, I don't
<v Speaker 4>want to get into nippicking here. I'll stop. I was
<v Speaker 4>going to get into the idea that your head doesn't
<v Speaker 4>really set on your shoulders. Your neck is really where
<v Speaker 4>your head anyway. So Orton says he knows fully that
<v Speaker 4>Cody's going to walk out of WrestleMania as champion and
<v Speaker 4>that there will be a time when he wants to
<v Speaker 4>go after his fifteenth championship. He said he's not gonna
<v Speaker 4>kick Cody in the balls like a coward. Orton said
<v Speaker 4>he sees Cody as an equal and then conceded that
<v Speaker 4>Cody has surpassed him in terms of some of the
<v Speaker 4>things he's accomplished. Orton said he will look him in
<v Speaker 4>the eye and tell him he's coming for the championship. Well,
<v Speaker 4>I would ask what had and this is a genuine question,
<v Speaker 4>what has Cody accomplished that Orton didn't? What is the
<v Speaker 4>singular thing. What is it? I don't know. I really
<v Speaker 4>don't know what it is. I mean Orton's main events
<v Speaker 4>of WrestleMania with Triple H. I believe it was like,
<v Speaker 4>what is it wrestling? I mean, Orton has had a
<v Speaker 4>hell of a lot of WrestleMania moments, Mick Foley, remember
<v Speaker 4>that Undertaker nearly beating the streak when he was in
<v Speaker 4>his early twenties. There's been a lot of wrestle Mania
<v Speaker 4>moments for Orton. He's also won fourteen times more or
<v Speaker 4>thirteen times more then Cody Roads has for the Top Belt.
<v Speaker 4>So I don't know what he's talking about here. What
<v Speaker 4>has Cody done that Orton hasn't. I'm not sure. I
<v Speaker 4>don't know. So another thing, So Orton, what are we
<v Speaker 4>talking about here? Alright? So I don't mean I didn't
<v Speaker 4>really go into this show imagining I was gonna take
<v Speaker 4>down Orton's promo here, But as I'm reading the things
<v Speaker 4>that he said that I'm remembering, I just I can't
<v Speaker 4>let them sit. So Orton did say again he's coming
<v Speaker 4>for the championship. That's the most important thing for those
<v Speaker 4>whole promo, is he's coming and going to eventually target Cody.
<v Speaker 4>That's assuming Cody wins and retains. And that's a hell
<v Speaker 4>of an argument for both sides here, whether Sina wins
<v Speaker 4>or Cody wins, both are incredibly difficult or really incredibly
<v Speaker 4>strong candidates to make a case to win that match.
<v Speaker 4>I know a lot of people are still on the
<v Speaker 4>boat that Sina should win, and I see totally why,
<v Speaker 4>and I guess I'm leaning that way a little bit too.
<v Speaker 4>But there is a case for Cody Roads to retain
<v Speaker 4>as it stands right now, there's a hell of a
<v Speaker 4>reason for him to win. He's to face the company
<v Speaker 4>right now. He had one of the biggest moments at
<v Speaker 4>WrestleMania last year WrestleMania forty. They can continue them momentum scene.
<v Speaker 4>It could get his heat back immediately after the match
<v Speaker 4>injure Cody. Yeah, there could be a hell of a
<v Speaker 4>story there. It just if ticket sales are up and
<v Speaker 4>everything's up, you don't want to really change positions here.
<v Speaker 4>But it's John Cena's final run, So anyway, conversation for
<v Speaker 4>a little bit down the road. So McIntyre started to
<v Speaker 4>address Cody as he comes out, and Cody just hit him,
<v Speaker 4>and Orton went for the RKO. But McIntyre slipped away,
<v Speaker 4>which was nice, and he left the ring and he
<v Speaker 4>was talking about Damian Priest too being a TIMU undertaker,
<v Speaker 4>which is funny. And so you know, there is something
<v Speaker 4>here bubbling under the surface with McIntyre. I can't quite
<v Speaker 4>put my finger on what it is. Is he secretly
<v Speaker 4>aligned with the Rock? Maybe? Is he gonna try to
<v Speaker 4>screw Cody Roads at WrestleMania. Maybe because right now he
<v Speaker 4>and Damien. I mean again, no disrespect to Damien, but
<v Speaker 4>when it comes to WrestleMania, Damian Priese is not on
<v Speaker 4>the level of Drew McIntyre. It feels like Drew mcintowre
<v Speaker 4>is is, you know, stepping down a rung or two
<v Speaker 4>in order to face Damian Priest in terms of pecking order,
<v Speaker 4>in terms of star power, and in terms of just
<v Speaker 4>WrestleMania opponents. This does not feel WrestleMania worthy for Drew.
<v Speaker 4>It does not, especially after the year he's had. So
<v Speaker 4>there's something bigger for Drew and we can't forget about him.
<v Speaker 4>He's got something that they're good, Ww's got something in
<v Speaker 4>store for him. I can feel it. So it's my,
<v Speaker 4>of course, my opinion. So then we get the Street Profits,
<v Speaker 4>montes Ford, Angela Dawkins taking on pretty deadly and then
<v Speaker 4>let's see here. Yeah, that was only seven minutes. I
<v Speaker 4>didn't think it was that long. And it ended with
<v Speaker 4>pretty deadly hitting their split milk neck breaker on Angelo Dawkins.
<v Speaker 4>Wilson had him pinned, but Ford broke it up. Prince
<v Speaker 4>sent Ford to ringside, and then Dawkins suffered a codebreaker attempt,
<v Speaker 4>but he put Wilson on his shoulders. Moments later, the
<v Speaker 4>fans booed as Ford went up top and hit the
<v Speaker 4>doomsday blockbuster one two three, montes Ford and Angelo Dawkins retain.
<v Speaker 4>So yeah, I mean the fact that the fans booed here,
<v Speaker 4>and I know immediately what people are already run into
<v Speaker 4>about race and everything else. How about the fact that
<v Speaker 4>they just have done absolutely nothing with the three Profits
<v Speaker 4>for a significant a period of time. We don't still
<v Speaker 4>don't know who and what they are. We just they're
<v Speaker 4>just two dudes that have been together for a while,
<v Speaker 4>that are good in the ring, good together, but we
<v Speaker 4>have no emotional connection anymore. That's gone, I mean, And

<v Speaker 4>this division a messy division. That's a perfect way to
<v Speaker 4>describe it. This division is a mess. There's never really
<v Speaker 4>a hierarchy in the tag team division. People get title
<v Speaker 4>shots arbitrarily, and this has been an issue not just
<v Speaker 4>with the Triple Ah regime and company, but all the
<v Speaker 4>way back through the Vince McMahon era. Really since the
<v Speaker 4>dawn of time with Vince McMahon, since I've been watching anyway,
<v Speaker 4>it has been a tag team division mess very rarely
<v Speaker 4>do you have a pecking order, do you have wwe
<v Speaker 4>really focused on the tag team division. There's never seemingly
<v Speaker 4>a real focus, a real effort to be made to
<v Speaker 4>create depth in the tag team division, where it's just
<v Speaker 4>a constant problem, especially in the women's division, but yes,
<v Speaker 4>and the men's too, where there's depth, where there's a
<v Speaker 4>sense that this could be the next big tag team
<v Speaker 4>that eventually create big single stars, which is obviously what
<v Speaker 4>tag teams are made to do, to create single stars.
<v Speaker 4>Because that's where the real money is. Same with factions.
<v Speaker 4>They're meant to be they're meant to be destroyed. But
<v Speaker 4>it's very rarely a focal point, and I think they're
<v Speaker 4>missing the boat on it because you can get big
<v Speaker 4>single stars from a tag team division if they put focus,
<v Speaker 4>if they actually put effort into it. But they're so
<v Speaker 4>here there everywhere. Tag team title matches are given out
<v Speaker 4>to anybody that just asks for a one or doesn't
<v Speaker 4>ask for one. And don't even get me started on
<v Speaker 4>the women's division of tag teams. Early on, there were
<v Speaker 4>periods of time when there were no tag team opponents
<v Speaker 4>for the champions to face. They were unopposed champions, which
<v Speaker 4>made them champions. The fact that they were champions laughable
<v Speaker 4>because they have no contenders because there's nobody else in
<v Speaker 4>the division. That was actually a thing for a while
<v Speaker 4>in WWE. So I think going to continue to be
<v Speaker 4>a problem. It's just tag team division life in WWE. So,
<v Speaker 4>next up, speaking of women's tag teams, Kayden Carter and
<v Speaker 4>Katana Chance versus the Secret Service Piper Niven and Al
<v Speaker 4>who was with Chelsea Green. This match was six minutes
<v Speaker 4>and twenty seconds with Piper Nivin and Albu Fire beating
<v Speaker 4>Kayden Carter and Katana Chance. The finish was Carter and
<v Speaker 4>Chance setting up for their finish on Niven when Green
<v Speaker 4>jumped on the apron bickered with the ref. Chance dropped
<v Speaker 4>from the ropes to argue with the with Green and
<v Speaker 4>Niven shoved Carter into Chance and then hit the piper
<v Speaker 4>driver on Carter for the victory. After the match, the
<v Speaker 4>Heel Trio beat down the baby Faces. Selena Vega came
<v Speaker 4>out to absolutely no reaction and roughed up Nivit in
<v Speaker 4>Fire Uh and Vega. Green hit Vega with a shot
<v Speaker 4>from behind. Vega set up for code read, but Fire
<v Speaker 4>caught her with a superkick and then Nivid piper. Nivit
<v Speaker 4>followed up with a sentan splash. I don't so if
<v Speaker 4>you guys know, if you followed me from a period
<v Speaker 4>of time, you know that I'm a big Zilina Vega
<v Speaker 4>fan I have been for a long time. Really caught
<v Speaker 4>onto me in terms of catching my eye, not in
<v Speaker 4>a romantic way. Okay, so I want to be clear,
<v Speaker 4>she is an attractive woman, but I mean catching my
<v Speaker 4>eye in terms of I see something more there than
<v Speaker 4>just what they're doing with her, and when she was
<v Speaker 4>with Andrade and that group, but that was back in
<v Speaker 4>you know, even pre COVID, actually during COVID when they
<v Speaker 4>had the empty arenas and everything else. And you know,
<v Speaker 4>she I think may have reached her peak when they
<v Speaker 4>went to what was it extreme rules when they went
<v Speaker 4>to her home country, I believe in Puerto Rico. I'm
<v Speaker 4>fairly sure that's you know, when she got the biggest reaction,
<v Speaker 4>and I'm sitting there thinking to myself, now, this is
<v Speaker 4>the reaction she should be getting. I think Selena Vega
<v Speaker 4>has just something about her that's just authentic. When she speaks,
<v Speaker 4>you don't feel like she's memorizing. You pay attention, and
<v Speaker 4>there's something there that you just that that infamous X
<v Speaker 4>factor everyone talks about. She's got that and her hair.

<v Speaker 4>team match, six minutes twenty seconds, with La Knight fighting
<v Speaker 4>Brounz Stroman to an apparent note contest. Why well, mister
<v Speaker 4>Jacob Fatu. So Stroman started to run for his just
<v Speaker 4>embarrassing Stroman express train move, whatever that thing is. He
<v Speaker 4>got cut off by Jacob Fatu, who attacked him to
<v Speaker 4>end the match, and that's when Fatu was beating down
<v Speaker 4>Stroman inside the ring until a La Knight cut him off,
<v Speaker 4>and Fatu battled back quickly and put Night down with
<v Speaker 4>a pop up samoe and drop, and he hit three
<v Speaker 4>running hip attacks on Stroman and hit a couple of
<v Speaker 4>moon salts.
<v Speaker 6>Uh.
<v Speaker 4>Kind of a crappy finish to l A Knight and Stroman.
<v Speaker 4>Not fun, but it's doing what it needs to do
<v Speaker 4>to set up potentially a third triple threat for WrestleMania.
<v Speaker 4>We've got the women that is all but official with
<v Speaker 4>Rhea and Bianca and Eo. We've got confirmed Punk Rollin's reigns.
<v Speaker 4>We could have a third here with Knight Stroman and
<v Speaker 4>Fatu in a triple threat United States Championship matchup, with
<v Speaker 4>Fatu likely being the front runner to win the championship.
<v Speaker 4>So there's there's that. I mean, are there any other scenarios?
<v Speaker 4>I feel like there was a fourth maybe scenario of
<v Speaker 4>a triple threat was there? Maybe I'm maybe not well, Yeah,

<v Speaker 4>know what her finishes. She was never really strong on
<v Speaker 4>the mic as a baby face, and then she turns

<v Speaker 4>Tiffany got eviscerated in that promo. Did it hurt her? Yeah?

<v Speaker 4>It exposed her a bit, But there's no better learning experience.
<v Speaker 4>There's no better teacher than being humbled, being outclassed, being
<v Speaker 4>humiliated online television. There is no better teacher. And I

<v Speaker 4>Drew beating Randy. But that's because of Kevin Owens standing
<v Speaker 4>on the aisle, spotted Orton, distracted, Orton, turned back to McIntyre,
<v Speaker 4>hit him with the claymore got the victory. After the match,
<v Speaker 4>Owens pulled Orton out of the rings, slammed his head
<v Speaker 4>on the broadcast table. Orton's climbed on the table, set
<v Speaker 4>up for a pile driver, but Orton slipped away and
<v Speaker 4>tripped Owens, who took a bump. Orton set up for
<v Speaker 4>the punt kick, but Owens got up and hopped out
<v Speaker 4>the barricade and fled the scene. So fine and honestly,
<v Speaker 4>Orton and McIntyre, the fact that they had a non
<v Speaker 4>finish here made sense. They're both on separate paths for WrestleMania,
<v Speaker 4>both the economy to have momentum. You know, I should
<v Speaker 4>say it wasn't a non finished, but it was a
<v Speaker 4>finish that you kind of expected to non finish given
<v Speaker 4>the fact that they're on separate paths. But Randy Orton
<v Speaker 4>hasn't out that he was distracted by Owens. So even
<v Speaker 4>though Orton lost, I mean, for all intents and purposes,
<v Speaker 4>it kind of is a non finished because of Owen's
<v Speaker 4>distracting Orton and so Drew got the victory, but it's
<v Speaker 4>a victory that is going to be forgotten because these
<v Speaker 4>two aren't in a program together.

<v Speaker 4>because we're always changing and things are always evolving, and
<v Speaker 4>our lives change and things that happen and those events change,

<v Speaker 4>that about a lot of stuff. However, let me talk
<v Speaker 4>about Deaf Rebel. I'd agree that there have been some
<v Speaker 4>crappy hits, some real bad entrance music's put out over
<v Speaker 4>the last several years. I mean, it's just been it's
<v Speaker 4>been horrible. As you said, I think the best way
<v Speaker 4>to put it is AI. It feels like AI is
<v Speaker 4>generating these songs. It's like going into an AI language
<v Speaker 4>model and being like, hey, create a professional wrestlers entrance music,
<v Speaker 4>and this is what it would spit out. It's been
<v Speaker 4>out like bron Breakers Entrance music or is Selena Vega's
<v Speaker 4>entrance music. It's soulless. It's soulless, is what it is.
<v Speaker 4>It's got no punch, it's got no staying power, it
<v Speaker 4>doesn't have that imprint on your brain it needs to have.
<v Speaker 4>And entrance music isn't everything. Certainly there's a ton of
<v Speaker 4>other aspects of being a professional west So it's going
<v Speaker 4>to tell you if you were going to fail or
<v Speaker 4>you're going to be successful. And most importantly, I think
<v Speaker 4>promos that's number one in ring just your an X factor,
<v Speaker 4>a presence you can't teach if you have those, that's
<v Speaker 4>obviously going to be very important. But the fact that
<v Speaker 4>they just come up with these soulless, generic vanilla entrance
<v Speaker 4>music themes is just it is a problem right now. Now.
<v Speaker 4>I've made that argument too that I don't know if
<v Speaker 4>Cody Rhodes would be as popular as he is had
<v Speaker 4>it not been for his theme music. His theme music
<v Speaker 4>is it is a perfect representation of what a babyface
<v Speaker 4>music should be. Sammy's a and I think is on
<v Speaker 4>the same level. Great babyface music. Great. You know that
<v Speaker 4>to me is I don't know if I would put
<v Speaker 4>all of his success on that song. I don't think
<v Speaker 4>you would either, but I would. I would argue he
<v Speaker 4>wouldn't be as of a long standing babyface as he
<v Speaker 4>is had it not been for this music, because that
<v Speaker 4>music is something people want to hear and be a
<v Speaker 4>participant with. At the events, people wait to see the pyro,
<v Speaker 4>they wait to say, WHOA right we the fans? Do
<v Speaker 4>you get caught up in it? It's a moment, It's
<v Speaker 4>great on It's a great way to produce television and
<v Speaker 4>tell the fans, hey, come and participate in this when
<v Speaker 4>it comes to your town. He's got a great entrance theme,
<v Speaker 4>and I think it's a while not directly keeping him
<v Speaker 4>at the top is a big factor in him staying
<v Speaker 4>at the top because fans love that music. They love it,
<v Speaker 4>so it's gonna be hard to turn Cody heel. You
<v Speaker 4>know that that decision is gonna have to be a
<v Speaker 4>big one for the company to make, and I hope
<v Speaker 4>they make it at some point. Cody is a heel.
<v Speaker 4>I still argue it is gonna be just fantastic. It's
<v Speaker 4>gonna be fantastic. You know what's gonna be great about
<v Speaker 4>the Cody Hill turn. Whenever it does happen year two years.
<v Speaker 4>Whatever hell it could happen to the stricial somania, but
<v Speaker 4>I doubt it. Cody's gonna have a lot more years
<v Speaker 4>to flesh that out rather than condense it in a
<v Speaker 4>sparing number of dates that John has got left. Now.
<v Speaker 4>I appreciate I want to be very clear, I absolutely
<v Speaker 4>appreciate support, and I'm glad that they did what they
<v Speaker 4>did with John Cena. Better late than never. But the
<v Speaker 4>biggest downside is you only have a very short period
<v Speaker 4>of time to really flesh this heel run out, see
<v Speaker 4>how far it can go. And he's also limited not
<v Speaker 4>just on the amount of time, but the number of
<v Speaker 4>dates is also killer. It's killer for the next nine months.
<v Speaker 4>I mean, we're already seeing the type of schedule he's
<v Speaker 4>going to have. Tomorrow night is the last night before
<v Speaker 4>WrestleMania that he's going to be there unless they add dates.
<v Speaker 4>They could add dates, I'm sure they're maybe considering it,
<v Speaker 4>but he's got twenty days between the last appearance and
<v Speaker 4>him coming back to WrestleMania. Like, we're not going to
<v Speaker 4>see his face in the ring anyway for the next
<v Speaker 4>three weeks after Tomorrow night. That's the kind of schedule
<v Speaker 4>we can expect, and that sucks if you're a heel
<v Speaker 4>and it's a John Ceny heel turn. I think this
<v Speaker 4>heel turn would have been even better had it been
<v Speaker 4>in the middle of his run as a babyface, but
<v Speaker 4>they didn't do it, And what do I know? What
<v Speaker 4>do I know? I mean, that's maybe that's my own
<v Speaker 4>dark side speaking because I wanted seen it to turn
<v Speaker 4>heels so badly because I just despised him. He was
<v Speaker 4>the embodiment of everything I hated about the changes that
<v Speaker 4>w WE was going through during that time. He embodied
<v Speaker 4>all of the PG feel good, family friendly crap. He
<v Speaker 4>was the symbol of that, and I resented everything about
<v Speaker 4>what they did with the company through him. Yet I
<v Speaker 4>still watched, and I'm not saying I didn't. I'm not
<v Speaker 4>going to pretend I didn't. I've watched every single Raw
<v Speaker 4>maybe from ninety seven on. You know a lot of
<v Speaker 4>you have watched longer. But yeah, I don't know. I
<v Speaker 4>think I've missed a Monday Night Raw since or SmackDown
<v Speaker 4>maybe because remember there was that your time with SmackDown
<v Speaker 4>before they went to SmackDown Live, where like nobody watched SmackDown.
<v Speaker 4>It was just kind of a glorified house show. It
<v Speaker 4>was still money at Raw and then pay per views
<v Speaker 4>were SmackDown. There was stuff happening on SmackDown, but like
<v Speaker 4>nobody was really paying attention until they went to SmackDown
<v Speaker 4>live and then boom. They wanted to put on equal
<v Speaker 4>footing with Raw and it did well for a while.
<v Speaker 4>Raw did great, then SmackDown did great, and it bounces
<v Speaker 4>back and forth, and it still oscillates back and forth.
<v Speaker 4>That's just the nature of the business. But yeah, there
<v Speaker 4>was that weird period of like a couple of years
<v Speaker 4>I feel like where SmackDown was just maybe longer. It
<v Speaker 4>was just a it was a very forgetful show. So anyway,
