<v Speaker 4>You can acknowledge me, all right, everybody, Welcome to the

<v Speaker 4>A lot of emails to get to today, A few voicemails,
<v Speaker 4>so heavy on the emails, a light on the voice smells.
<v Speaker 4>But I think that things are going to ramp up
<v Speaker 4>in a big way from you guys as we get
<v Speaker 4>closer to and past Night of Champions, as we will
<v Speaker 4>crown a brand new world heavyweight champion. I would imagine
<v Speaker 4>Seth Rollins is the heavy favorite no matter who the
<v Speaker 4>other person is from SmackDown to win the whole thing.
<v Speaker 4>But before we get there, I want to welcome some
<v Speaker 4>people to the ww podcast on Patreon, and James Rainville

<v Speaker 4>the last time, so I'd rather cover you twice than
<v Speaker 4>not at all. So thank you James and Martin. You

<v Speaker 4>com slash w WE podcast. So let's let's just jump
<v Speaker 4>into it.
<v Speaker 5>Guys.
<v Speaker 4>We got a lot of email, and as always, patrons
<v Speaker 4>get priority, so let's get to you know, let's let's
<v Speaker 4>start out with uh, let's start out with well, Rocky
<v Speaker 4>tea and see what he's got to say.
<v Speaker 6>Yo, it's me, It's me, It's Rocky T.
<v Speaker 5>All right, Rocky T.
<v Speaker 4>Love the intro. Let's get to your email and backlash.
<v Speaker 4>Eo Sky took Bianca to the limit like no one
<v Speaker 4>before her, and it was the first time in a
<v Speaker 4>long time I felt Bianca might lose.
<v Speaker 5>Uh well, yeah, I mean, but you know what.
<v Speaker 4>I don't disagree that there were spots in the match
<v Speaker 4>that you could see her winning and but here's the
<v Speaker 4>undertone of the match going in. There was tension, a
<v Speaker 4>little bit of tension between EO. Sky and Bailey. If
<v Speaker 4>you're going to further the tension, why would you have
<v Speaker 4>and why would you allow Bailey to allow EO Sky
<v Speaker 4>to get the victory become Women's Champion when Bailey's the
<v Speaker 4>one that gave up her spot in that triple threat
<v Speaker 4>many weeks ago to determine the number one contender for Bianca.
<v Speaker 4>So we all know that this group's going to a split.
<v Speaker 5>Plus, Eosky.
<v Speaker 4>Only recently came into relevance. I mean, she was just
<v Speaker 4>kind of a faceless goon in for most fans in
<v Speaker 4>the in the Damage Control group. So I don't think
<v Speaker 4>she was ready, but certainly the Puerto Rican crowd was ready,
<v Speaker 4>right boy, they were ready.
<v Speaker 5>I was ready. We're all ready.
<v Speaker 4>Bianca Bellair has overstayed her welcome, not just as champion
<v Speaker 4>but also as a babyface. More importantly, I think that
<v Speaker 4>she still has some work to do Eosky, that is,
<v Speaker 4>in order to get her to the place where she
<v Speaker 4>could be a real threat. But no, I you know,
<v Speaker 4>I'm not bashing your take there. Okay, So it took
<v Speaker 4>Rolin three stomps to finish Almas, and one of them
<v Speaker 4>was a super stomp off the top rope, but it
<v Speaker 4>only took Brock one a F five, yeah, I mean goes.
<v Speaker 4>There's inconsistency with the kickouts of finishes. Apparently the F
<v Speaker 4>five is more powerful than stomping someone's skull to the
<v Speaker 4>mat three times.
<v Speaker 5>I don't know.
<v Speaker 4>I mean, yeah, it's it's pro wrestling. I mean, that's
<v Speaker 4>just pro wrestling, right. They have finished finish your kickouts
<v Speaker 4>more often than not. But having you know, having Amass
<v Speaker 4>not kick out of the F five, but having Cody
<v Speaker 4>Roads kick out of it, right, I mean, there's arguments
<v Speaker 4>to be made. I think as a whole there's an
<v Speaker 4>issue w W wide of finishes being kicked out too much.
<v Speaker 4>So I like when there's just one and done. I
<v Speaker 4>don't like how Cody Rhoades does multiple finishes now just
<v Speaker 4>because he doesn't have faith that his finish is going
<v Speaker 4>to be able to put down his opponent. But all right,
<v Speaker 4>Triple Threat was solid. I expected more from Zelena Vega
<v Speaker 4>and a losing effort. Damian Priest made Bad Bunny look
<v Speaker 4>like a million bucks, especially when Bunny hit the finish
<v Speaker 4>with the Puerto Rico destroyer destroyer instead of the Canadian Destroyer. Yes, yeah,
<v Speaker 4>I mean Bad Bunny has put in the work, no
<v Speaker 4>doubt about it, and I appreci shiate that because there's
<v Speaker 4>a lot of celebrities that come in don't take this seriously,
<v Speaker 4>don't even want to take any bumps and want to
<v Speaker 4>win a match, and you know, go.
<v Speaker 5>Back to Hollywood.
<v Speaker 4>That's not Bad Bunny here, and with his schedule and
<v Speaker 4>everything else has got going on, he has dedicated clearly
<v Speaker 4>a lot of time to doing this and the fact
<v Speaker 4>that the talent feels safe enough to work with him,
<v Speaker 4>that's also telling because it's about keeping your opponents safe
<v Speaker 4>and that Canadian or rather Puerto Rican destroyer is easily
<v Speaker 4>one that could go wrong very quickly. It's it's almost
<v Speaker 4>kind of an inverted pile driver. If you do it wrong,
<v Speaker 4>your opponent's paralyzed.
<v Speaker 5>Are dead. And so yeah, all right, let's.
<v Speaker 4>See, Carlito may have had the biggest pop of the night.
<v Speaker 4>I would argue that he had the biggest pop in
<v Speaker 4>years for anybody for anything, and it's it's arguable, no
<v Speaker 4>doubt about it, he at least.
<v Speaker 5>Had the pop of the night.
<v Speaker 4>I'm indifferent about Solo's reaction when he grabbed Jay and
<v Speaker 4>almost spiked him. I think holding and teasing the spike
<v Speaker 4>gave it completely away that the turn is coming, no doubt.
<v Speaker 4>But yeah, I mean the turn is coming. I don't
<v Speaker 4>think that they gave away the farm here. I mean
<v Speaker 4>they they've been teasing it for a long time. But
<v Speaker 4>I agree that the hold took too long. I think
<v Speaker 4>would have would have been a better solution, and one
<v Speaker 4>that would have been more effective is one of two things.
<v Speaker 4>Either he didn't hold him so quickly or hold him
<v Speaker 4>so long, because as he was holding him, he shouldn't
<v Speaker 4>have debated whether or not to spike him, because at
<v Speaker 4>that point he knew who he was. It wasn't like
<v Speaker 4>he thought that Solo thought someone snuck up on him
<v Speaker 4>and he spiked him and then, oh my god, Solo,
<v Speaker 4>did he do that on purpose?
<v Speaker 5>You know?
<v Speaker 4>That's the other option Number two, which I would have
<v Speaker 4>gone with, is Solo was just in the moment, adrenaline pumping,
<v Speaker 4>and he didn't know who was pulling on him, and
<v Speaker 4>he just spiked whoever was there and then realized it
<v Speaker 4>was Jay. But then he doesn't show much remorse. So
<v Speaker 4>the question is, did he do it on purpose, and
<v Speaker 4>that's not the road they went. But all right, when
<v Speaker 4>Cody realized that Brock was busted open, I bet that
<v Speaker 4>in his mind he was screaming, hell yeah, especially after
<v Speaker 4>he rubbed it all over his body. Nice visual and
<v Speaker 4>creative finish. Totally agree, Totally totally agree. You know, when
<v Speaker 4>that kind of stuff happens, you take advantage when the
<v Speaker 4>wrestling gods give you that, and Brock has done that
<v Speaker 4>a couple of times. Whether or not it's on purpose,
<v Speaker 4>we don't know, but yeah, you take advantage and you
<v Speaker 4>make the most of it. Blood is so effective because
<v Speaker 4>now it's never seen unless it's done the hard way.
<v Speaker 4>All right, And yes, Rocky Tea has a new episode
<v Speaker 4>coming out of Wrestle Magic, done with Michael Gardner, Michael
<v Speaker 4>Gross rather the Gardener. It's not your last name, but
<v Speaker 4>Wrestle Magic Episode three is coming, guys, and the topic
<v Speaker 4>is going to be the revolution of Lucha Underground. So
<v Speaker 4>if you're interested in such things, you're interested really in
<v Speaker 4>the history of wrestling and things that no one else
<v Speaker 4>is talking about. Wrestle Magic is one of those shows.
<v Speaker 4>And you know, we don't We've only had a couple
<v Speaker 4>of them on the show now, but they've gotten pretty good,
<v Speaker 4>pretty good feedback for most of you. And if you
<v Speaker 4>want to learn about the history of wrestling, no better
<v Speaker 4>place to go than that podcast. So episode three coming
<v Speaker 4>out soon. All right, thanks Rocky Team. Let's let's jump
<v Speaker 4>into I want to go to Patreon directly, make sure
<v Speaker 4>I don't miss any of y'all.
<v Speaker 5>Ah.
<v Speaker 4>I know, I know who we're getting to, somebody who
<v Speaker 4>haven't heard from in quite a while, and that is Miller.
<v Speaker 4>Miller from Beautiful South Africa. And he says, heard you
<v Speaker 4>saying all the members from down from the down Under Australia,
<v Speaker 4>especially Melbourne, and you would love to visit the visit there,
<v Speaker 4>good destination. But before you make that decision, really do
<v Speaker 4>keep South Africa in mind. Also, it's the most beautiful
<v Speaker 4>place in the world. I have no nothing against South Africa.
<v Speaker 4>I'm not certainly not disagreeing with you. I've never been there.
<v Speaker 4>Would love to. Difficult, you know, with kids and family
<v Speaker 4>and full time job and this side gig that's turning
<v Speaker 4>into a full time job. Not easy, certainly easier said
<v Speaker 4>than done. In my single life, about five not five
<v Speaker 4>years ten years ago, this would have been a much
<v Speaker 4>easier task to fulfill. But yeah, there's a lot of
<v Speaker 4>places I'd love to visit, no doubt. Anyways, I was
<v Speaker 4>just thinking Rick Flair and John Cena both on sixteen
<v Speaker 4>time title winners and then Triple H and Randy on fourteen.
<v Speaker 4>All credit to Rick and what he meant to the industry,
<v Speaker 4>but I don't feel he should be the holder going
<v Speaker 4>any further. Easiest to be thrown him is who is
<v Speaker 4>equal to him, which is John Cena. But it feels
<v Speaker 4>like being equal makes that spot less significant for both
<v Speaker 4>Sina being a part timer getting the seventeenth rain feels forced.
<v Speaker 5>Yeah, here's the thing.
<v Speaker 4>I I don't think there's really anything else John Cena
<v Speaker 4>could do to make himself feel like a bigger star.
<v Speaker 4>I don't, and I don't believe. I don't if I
<v Speaker 4>was to could take a guess, I don't think Sena
<v Speaker 4>is going to be the one to beat the record
<v Speaker 4>of Rick Flair, or at least I wouldn't do it.
<v Speaker 5>And here's why.
<v Speaker 4>Number one, As I mentioned, there's nothing really you need
<v Speaker 4>to add, and it would feel forced and it would
<v Speaker 4>feel like they're just doing it to do it. But
<v Speaker 4>why don't you do it with somebody that comes along
<v Speaker 4>that that is deserving of it. That said, you would
<v Speaker 4>also have to go through a lot of different title
<v Speaker 4>changes and have this person win and lose a lot. See,
<v Speaker 4>I don't know if sixteen time winner Rick Flair that
<v Speaker 4>sixteen number should be something that people aspire to, because
<v Speaker 4>ultimately that number also means you lost it sixteen times, right,
<v Speaker 4>because Rick Clair is no longer champion. If he was
<v Speaker 4>still champion, we lost to fifteen times. But since and
<v Speaker 4>that's one thing I don't know why people and promos
<v Speaker 4>don't ever bring up that, oh, I'm an eighteen time
<v Speaker 4>or you know, twenty eight times this, and that I'm exaggerating,
<v Speaker 4>but you could somebody who could clap back and say, okay, yeah,
<v Speaker 4>you're a ten time tag team champion. Doesn't that also
<v Speaker 4>mean that you've lost it more than anybody else on
<v Speaker 4>the roster that you can hold on to this thing.
<v Speaker 4>So having someone win it more times doesn't make them
<v Speaker 4>better and actually, if you want to argue, makes them
<v Speaker 4>less effective at holding on to it, you know. Or
<v Speaker 4>in Ric Flair's career, he had such a long career
<v Speaker 4>that longer than many other stuff. I mean, Rick Flair
<v Speaker 4>had it, I mean, he had like a thirty year career, right,
<v Speaker 4>like Rick, he is an exception to the rule, which
<v Speaker 4>makes sense that he had it sixteen times. So I
<v Speaker 4>don't know if there really will be anyone else that
<v Speaker 4>comes along that has that long of a career. John
<v Speaker 4>Cena had a twenty year career kind of and he
<v Speaker 4>kind of bowed out the last few years and has
<v Speaker 4>done Hollywood. His body's aging makes sense, right, But there
<v Speaker 4>are very few people I think that will come along
<v Speaker 4>that will be able to challenge Rick's career Rick Rick's
<v Speaker 4>record because of the fact that longevity needs to be
<v Speaker 4>a part of being able to get to that number,
<v Speaker 4>you know, unless you're just hot shotting to get to that.
<v Speaker 4>I hope that's not what is in the plans, But
<v Speaker 4>I don't think it's as important as people make it
<v Speaker 4>out to be. To me, you know, it's length of
<v Speaker 4>the run. Look at Roman reigns, right, Sometimes how long
<v Speaker 4>you hold it, how many days to me, is more
<v Speaker 4>of a is more of an indicator of success than
<v Speaker 4>it is for how many times you've won it, because
<v Speaker 4>you can hold it fewer hold it more times, but
<v Speaker 4>as an aggregate, fewer days or you can have fewer
<v Speaker 4>title reigns in total, hold a belt longer, and that
<v Speaker 4>to me is more more of an indicator of success.
<v Speaker 4>I mean, look at for God's sakes, look stone Cold
<v Speaker 4>Steve Austin, right, it was the seven time world champion,
<v Speaker 4>and you know he's not in the conversation. Obviously he
<v Speaker 4>beat Rick Flair's career, but you could argue that Stone
<v Speaker 4>Cold is the biggest star of all time undertakers under ten, right, like,
<v Speaker 4>I mean, nowhere near sixteen. So I don't know if
<v Speaker 4>people make a big deal out of this. I don't
<v Speaker 4>think it's that big of a deal. Like what does
<v Speaker 4>it mean? Okay, you lost it more than anyone else
<v Speaker 4>in history, you know, Like, Okay, you did win it
<v Speaker 4>more than anyone else in history, but you also lost
<v Speaker 4>it more, right, So anyway, I'm gonna stop there. Randy Orton,
<v Speaker 4>I feel would be awesome to accomplish this if that
<v Speaker 4>means he has to win it twice to be able
<v Speaker 4>to get to the seventeenth time. And the last few
<v Speaker 4>years it's been all about long long super let me
<v Speaker 4>say it again, long title reigns, both titles. Yeah, I
<v Speaker 4>mean again, Miller, you're in a different era now we're
<v Speaker 4>in now in the Triple H era, I don't forget
<v Speaker 4>we are in the Triple H era, and he clearly
<v Speaker 4>one of his philosophies is and I don't disagree longer
<v Speaker 4>title reigns. Not everyone has to have a long title reign.
<v Speaker 4>But it was to the point under the Vince McMahon
<v Speaker 4>regime at times where it was just hot shotting and
<v Speaker 4>people couldn't hold onto the belts. They were doing title
<v Speaker 4>changes every other week. It was getting kind of an
<v Speaker 4>insane But yeah, okay, great now to have the World
<v Speaker 4>heavyweight title back. It was just such a lost opportunity
<v Speaker 4>for us making moments besides Roman's long title reign, giving
<v Speaker 4>the opportunities for Sena Orton getting the most rains keep
<v Speaker 4>on all well, cheers. Yeah, I mean, Randy Orton is
<v Speaker 4>probably if you're going to look at who's the most
<v Speaker 4>likely based on the fact that Randy Orton is still
<v Speaker 4>once he comes back, an active competitor that can perform
<v Speaker 4>at a high level, more active than John Cena would be.
<v Speaker 4>Certainly Randy Orton is I think a better candidate for it,
<v Speaker 4>even though he's one title reign behind Sena. You know,
<v Speaker 4>but again, I don't think this is a huge deal.
<v Speaker 4>I don't think fans look at this. Fans right now
<v Speaker 4>are more concerned about the length of title reigns. And
<v Speaker 4>as I mentioned earlier, I think that's a better indicator
<v Speaker 4>of success than no, I want it more times.
<v Speaker 5>Okay, like you.
<v Speaker 4>Know, but anyway, thanks Miller. Let's jump into our next
<v Speaker 4>email and let's see. Let's get to Djkuzmo and he says,
<v Speaker 4>this is DJ Coozo back at it again and one
<v Speaker 4>and a two and a three. Thank you Brock, Thank
<v Speaker 4>you Brock, Thank you Brock. I'm so happy that Cody
<v Speaker 4>will not be included in the hunt to win the
<v Speaker 4>World Heavyweight Championship because this is Seth's opportunity to finally
<v Speaker 4>win a major world championship, which has been long overdue.
<v Speaker 4>Plus Cody's focus has now shifted back to Brock. This
<v Speaker 4>is good for booking for both Cody and Seth. And
<v Speaker 4>Seth getting booked to potentially win the World Heavyweight Championship
<v Speaker 4>and Cody being booked for a long term perspective is
<v Speaker 4>in getting back to quote the top of the mountain
<v Speaker 4>to eventually become world champion next year. Plus no, excuse me,
<v Speaker 4>I'm not ready for a Cody Rhods World Championship rain,
<v Speaker 4>yet he needs to get beaten down more where fans
<v Speaker 4>start to feel sympathy for the babyface and I'm glad
<v Speaker 4>that Brock isn't being booked to be one quote block
<v Speaker 4>Cody the one to quote block Cody from getting another
<v Speaker 4>world title opportunity. This soon just an opinion. Yeah, look,
<v Speaker 4>Dan Eru and brook that's your next topic. I don't
<v Speaker 4>think that right now fans are showing any signs of
<v Speaker 4>turning on Cody, but it seems as if they are
<v Speaker 4>still even though Cody Rhodes is arguably getting the biggest
<v Speaker 4>babyface reaction on the entire roster, that they are playing
<v Speaker 4>the long game with him. They're playing the safe game
<v Speaker 4>because I and I like this even though the fans,
<v Speaker 4>if you're a Cody supporter, would say you're ready for
<v Speaker 4>him to be champion, and Cody himself is I think
<v Speaker 4>more than ready and more than mature enough to handle
<v Speaker 4>the title reign, and he could easily run and carry
<v Speaker 4>the company if he needed to. I really believe that
<v Speaker 4>he is that good, even though I don't like his
<v Speaker 4>babyface character.
<v Speaker 5>But you know, it.
<v Speaker 4>Comes down to the fact that they are playing the
<v Speaker 4>safe game that they've learned in the past that sometimes
<v Speaker 4>fans are enamored with a certain star for a short
<v Speaker 4>period of time and it's the honeymoon phase and it's
<v Speaker 4>short lived, and they're trying to I think gauge how deep.
<v Speaker 4>Also the fans support is for Cody is this kind
<v Speaker 4>of a one off and they still just in the
<v Speaker 4>honeymoon phase, Like where are they how? You know, they're
<v Speaker 4>trying to lay the foundation for fans that believed he
<v Speaker 4>came in, didn't lose a single match up until WrestleMania.
<v Speaker 4>You know, got injured, beat Seth Rowlins three times in
<v Speaker 4>a row, got injured, came back, won the Royal Rumble,
<v Speaker 4>immediately made evented WrestleMania, and fans so many fans felt
<v Speaker 4>that he was kind of shoehorned in and it seems
<v Speaker 4>like they're playing the long game with them. And it's
<v Speaker 4>interesting because he feels like he's white hot and they're
<v Speaker 4>not striking. But that's because I think they have Seth
<v Speaker 4>Rollins to be his counterpart just below Cody, where fans
<v Speaker 4>would absolutely accept Seth as a champion, and Cody is
<v Speaker 4>playing the long game here and probably going to eventually
<v Speaker 4>make his way back to Roman Reigns. That's I think
<v Speaker 4>where he's going to really finish the story. But okay,
<v Speaker 4>this is going to be a rare mention of Dana
<v Speaker 4>Brook on the mail bag. I thought she was released
<v Speaker 4>because we've not seen her in ages and what the
<v Speaker 4>hell is she doing in a night title match against Ripley.
<v Speaker 4>Her only claim to fame was the twenty four to
<v Speaker 4>seven champion, and since that champion is no longer featured
<v Speaker 4>on Raw, what is the point of Dana Brook being
<v Speaker 4>on the main roster. It would have easily made sense
<v Speaker 4>for her to be sent to NXT to get more
<v Speaker 4>TV time because she has been one of more unutilized
<v Speaker 4>female talents in WWA. She should be on NXT. She's
<v Speaker 4>a perfect candidate to be on NXT on a regular basis.
<v Speaker 4>Give her some regular work. I agree, and I mentioned
<v Speaker 4>that on my Raw review, Like, I have no idea
<v Speaker 4>what they're doing with Dana. You know, every time she
<v Speaker 4>comes out of would work, she's there to just put
<v Speaker 4>over whoever's there. She's never a real threat. The fens
<v Speaker 4>never react loudly to her because they don't have a
<v Speaker 4>reason to, because they know that she's never gonna win anything.
<v Speaker 4>At least the way they've presented her over the last
<v Speaker 4>how many years. She never gets any mic time, Like
<v Speaker 4>there's just nothing there. She's just kind of this hollow,
<v Speaker 4>empty blonde, just kind of your generic athletic, albeit very
<v Speaker 4>athletic woman. I mean, that's just the way that she's
<v Speaker 4>been presented. I'm not saying she's that on a personal level,
<v Speaker 4>just on a professional on camera, like there's nothing there.
<v Speaker 4>So yeah, I think that NXT could do her some
<v Speaker 4>real good. All right, This past week in Puerto Rico
<v Speaker 4>was absolutely great. This has got to be the best
<v Speaker 4>crowd reaction and interaction I've ever seen since probably the
<v Speaker 4>Montreal crowd for elimination Chamber. I don't know what is
<v Speaker 4>between the crowds here and in the States versus overseas,
<v Speaker 4>because to me, the crowds overseas are more hyped for
<v Speaker 4>a pay per view than here in the States. You
<v Speaker 4>know why it is like this? I think the simple
<v Speaker 4>answer is they're starved. And what do I mean by that? Like,
<v Speaker 4>Puerto Rico hasn't had a pay per view or premium
<v Speaker 4>live event in eighteen years. They were starving for one. Okay,
<v Speaker 4>these overseas crowds number one wrestling is part of the culture,
<v Speaker 4>especially in Puerto Rico. It's built into the fabric of
<v Speaker 4>the culture, whereas here it's kind of a sideshow. In
<v Speaker 4>the States, like people are passionate about it, but it's
<v Speaker 4>not part of a lot of the culture, like it's
<v Speaker 4>it's you know, it's taken more seriously there than here,
<v Speaker 4>I think overall, and again, they haven't had an event
<v Speaker 4>in eighteen years, so they were ready and same thing overseas.
<v Speaker 4>Overseas doesn't get a hole. Generally, the crowds are louder
<v Speaker 4>because they don't get a whole lot of time to
<v Speaker 4>see WWE Live, much less a pay per view, so
<v Speaker 4>I think that's part of the reason. Anyway, the Bad
<v Speaker 4>Bunny Damien pri San Juan street fight was really good
<v Speaker 4>and should have been the main event. I don't get
<v Speaker 4>why Triple H and Creative didn't book it that way.
<v Speaker 4>The spot that got me to cringe was when Damien
<v Speaker 4>did a Falcon arrow Minchinoku driver and Bad Bunny into
<v Speaker 4>a wooden table that had some audio equipment. I really
<v Speaker 4>thought Bad Bunny was out for the rest of the match.
<v Speaker 4>Then somehow he got the energy to continue and win
<v Speaker 4>this match with a freaking Puerto Rican Canadian destroyer. What
<v Speaker 4>celebrity does this on a pay per view I'm just saying, Yeah,
<v Speaker 4>that's what I'm saying. The dude has put in the work,
<v Speaker 4>and good for him, and he's shown toughness.
<v Speaker 5>I like it.
<v Speaker 4>I have nothing but respect for bad Bunny for doing this.
<v Speaker 4>Do I still like the fact that he's coming in
<v Speaker 4>as a celebrity and beating the guys that are professionals
<v Speaker 4>on the roster and Benny years that part of it
<v Speaker 4>still annoys me. But if you're if I'm going to
<v Speaker 4>take this versus just a celebrity that comes in half assed,
<v Speaker 4>and we've seen that so many times in the past,
<v Speaker 4>and yeah, it just makes the wrestlers look like fools
<v Speaker 4>and then leave. No, I'll take this. But also it
<v Speaker 4>was great seeing Carlito Caribbean cool. He's in phenomenal shape
<v Speaker 4>and could probably get resigned to be part of the
<v Speaker 4>LWO faction just a thought he could. I mean, I
<v Speaker 4>actually don't know the future of Carlito. I would imagine
<v Speaker 4>that this is probably a one off and that he's
<v Speaker 4>not coming back in any part time or full time capacity.
<v Speaker 4>There's you know, he's he's not exactly a spring chicken anymore.
<v Speaker 4>And I think WWE would look at it as well.
<v Speaker 4>He got that reaction because it's Puerto Rico and it
<v Speaker 4>would be severely subdued in the States. You know, he'd
<v Speaker 4>probably get a solid reaction, but it wouldn't be you know,
<v Speaker 4>it's not something that they could build around. But I
<v Speaker 4>wouldn't hate it. I've actually I would love it. I
<v Speaker 4>don't think Carlito had a like a as big of
<v Speaker 4>a run as you toag he could have had in
<v Speaker 4>WWE prior to him leaving.
<v Speaker 5>My god, how many years ago was that? All right?
<v Speaker 4>So a few interesting developments we're here before you sign off.
<v Speaker 4>Solo almost spiking Jay during the six man tag. Interesting
<v Speaker 4>to see where this goes and what Roman has to
<v Speaker 4>say on Friday. Because he has yet to publicate to
<v Speaker 4>address the usel's failure to wing back the tag titles,
<v Speaker 4>the plot continues to thicken. Anyway, that's all signing off. Yes,
<v Speaker 4>I'm very much looking forward to your vere Mahan report.
<v Speaker 4>I have to say, given some big, big, big things
<v Speaker 4>happen and unwraw with them. So now, yeah, I mean,
<v Speaker 4>Roman reigns hasn't addressed anything. I mean he's been gone
<v Speaker 4>for five weeks maybe more?
<v Speaker 5>Is it six weeks?
<v Speaker 4>Now, let's give him the benefit five weeks and it's
<v Speaker 4>time for Roman to come back. And you know, hearing
<v Speaker 4>what he has to say is what all ears are
<v Speaker 4>going to be on on Friday Night. It's going to
<v Speaker 4>be I think, a very highly rated edition of SmackDown
<v Speaker 4>because of Roman's return. Okay, let's get to what do
<v Speaker 4>we want to get to. Let's get to Thomas Franco
<v Speaker 4>and he writes in and says from Montreal, two things
<v Speaker 4>I wanted to discuss. The first being who will Roman's
<v Speaker 4>next three opponents be. It's been announced that Rome will
<v Speaker 4>be working with all of the next three pls, which
<v Speaker 4>is Knight of Champions, Money in the Bank, and SummerSlam,
<v Speaker 4>and so far there hasn't even been any hints yet,
<v Speaker 4>but we could get a program that starts as early
<v Speaker 4>as this Friday on SmackDown. I thought of a few
<v Speaker 4>opponents that could make sense for each pl For Night
<v Speaker 4>of Champions, I think Bobby would make sense.
<v Speaker 5>Bobby Lashley.
<v Speaker 4>It's a big match that the Saudi investors would govern
<v Speaker 4>for and Bobby is taking a loss could potentially open
<v Speaker 4>up a hurt business reewing and if they wanted to
<v Speaker 4>do that in the future. I also think Bobby versus
<v Speaker 4>Roman has to happen at some point. Okay, before we
<v Speaker 4>get to the money in the bank, ye had Bobby Lashley?
<v Speaker 5>How can he not?
<v Speaker 7>Right?
<v Speaker 4>I think he's gonna move out of the US title picture.
<v Speaker 4>He probably he probably will, but maybe they do it
<v Speaker 4>as soon as money in the bank or soon as
<v Speaker 4>a Night of Champions. But Bobby Lashley is definitely one
<v Speaker 4>of those three. I would agree with that. For money
<v Speaker 4>in the bank? Are we all thinking it has to
<v Speaker 4>be seamous since they'll be in the UK? It makes
<v Speaker 4>sense and we have not seen a Roman Seamus program
<v Speaker 4>since late twenty fifteen. Give it a try, and I
<v Speaker 4>think it'll work. Yeah, it'll work because of the landscape,
<v Speaker 4>the environment you're in. But I think the general fan
<v Speaker 4>would look at this and go all right, you know,
<v Speaker 4>like cool, but what about you know? What about you
<v Speaker 4>know jay Uso? Because jay Uso at some point is
<v Speaker 4>going to face Roman. I don't hate it. It would
<v Speaker 4>make the crowd go crazy, but it would also tell
<v Speaker 4>the ninety eight percent of people at home we've seen
<v Speaker 4>this before, right, We've seen this before. The hometown hero
<v Speaker 4>faces Roman Reigns. It's a massive reaction, but they lose.
<v Speaker 4>We've seen this before, We've seen this story. The crowd
<v Speaker 4>reaction is going to be fun if they do that.
<v Speaker 4>And Seamus is a believable opponent for Roman Reigns. And
<v Speaker 4>I think Seamus has beaten Roman Reigns before for the
<v Speaker 4>w title in twenty fifteen. I think it was am
<v Speaker 4>I wrong on that twenty sixteen. I can't remember. It
<v Speaker 4>was around that time, sixty or seven years ago. So
<v Speaker 4>they have history, and Seamus has had a revival over
<v Speaker 4>the last year, especially with the matches with Gunther reshowing
<v Speaker 4>his toughness, actually having a group that is fun to
<v Speaker 4>watch in the brawling brutes and a name that actually
<v Speaker 4>has stuck instead of Fight Night and all that. Like
<v Speaker 4>it is, Seamus is ripe for that position. Is he
<v Speaker 4>gonna beat Roman? Of course not, but you're right it'll
<v Speaker 4>be a fun environment because of his heritage or his
<v Speaker 4>his lineage. So all right for Summer Slam, this one's
<v Speaker 4>a toss up. I think from a wrestling standpoint, it
<v Speaker 4>should be aj Styles, although I'm hearing a lot of
<v Speaker 4>reports mentioning Bad Bunny or Connor McGregor for Roman Reigns
<v Speaker 4>SummerSlam opponent. Neither of them are going to win anyway,
<v Speaker 4>So to me, I'm fine with both as long as
<v Speaker 4>Connor takes training for ww seriously like Logan all the
<v Speaker 4>bad Bunny I've done. Let me just say I have
<v Speaker 4>no interest in seeing Connor McGregor versus Roman Reigns.
<v Speaker 5>I don't.
<v Speaker 4>The size differential would make me immediately check out. The
<v Speaker 4>size differentials too much for me. I know that he's
<v Speaker 4>an MMA fighter, a very talented one, and you know,
<v Speaker 4>a legit badass, but he's not going to actually fight
<v Speaker 4>Roman Reigns. You're in a wrestling ring, so you're right
<v Speaker 4>he would have to take it super seriously. And I
<v Speaker 4>heard about that. Can we keep the celebrities out of this?
<v Speaker 4>You know I've heard bad Bunny too. Can can we
<v Speaker 4>get I understand the crossover audience, but can you know,
<v Speaker 4>like I'm kind of done with the celebrity facing Roman Reigns,
<v Speaker 4>even though Logan Paul did an excellent job. The thing is,
<v Speaker 4>you know that those two aren't gonna win. I mean,
<v Speaker 4>it's bad enough when you have an established guy like
<v Speaker 4>aj Styles that I would advocate for at SummerSlam that
<v Speaker 4>you know isn't gonna win, but there's like that small chance.
<v Speaker 4>You're like, well, man, don't know, maybe maybe there's a
<v Speaker 4>five percent chance. But with Bad Bunny or Connor McGregor,
<v Speaker 4>you're just like, ugh, there's no chance. I mean, it's
<v Speaker 4>just why even bother outside of them just trying to
<v Speaker 4>get more eyeballs on the product, which I understand, but
<v Speaker 4>it's just it's beyond a foregone conclusion. It's already written
<v Speaker 4>in stone and it hasn't even taken place. But I
<v Speaker 4>would advocate against those things. I really would Bad Bunny.
<v Speaker 4>At least you'd know what kind of match you'd get,
<v Speaker 4>decent match. He'd bump the hell out of himself and
<v Speaker 4>put his body on the line.
<v Speaker 5>That's great.
<v Speaker 4>I have no idea what Connor McGregor would do, or
<v Speaker 4>how he would look or anything like that. I really
<v Speaker 4>advocate against that. But lastly, who takes the belt off
<v Speaker 4>of Gunther? I think they're going for Gunther to break
<v Speaker 4>the Honky tonk Man's record as the longest raining icy
<v Speaker 4>champion ever, So who are we thinking takes the belt
<v Speaker 4>off him? I think a great candidate pushed, if pushed correctly,
<v Speaker 4>could be j D mcj D McDonough who was recently
<v Speaker 4>drafted to Raw. Whoever it ends up being has to
<v Speaker 4>be a very established name or a a well presented talent,
<v Speaker 4>since Gunther looks pretty unstoppable at this moment in time.
<v Speaker 4>Thanks Matt, that's all for me. Keep up the great work.
<v Speaker 4>Thomas from Montreal. Well thanks Thomas and Gunther on on Raw. Yeah,
<v Speaker 4>like there is a there's a few candidates. J D McDonough.
<v Speaker 4>Although you know more about him that I do in
<v Speaker 4>terms of body of work and believability, I'll take it
<v Speaker 4>at face value that he's a good candidate. Okay, I'm
<v Speaker 4>not gonna again. I'm not gonna pretend that I know
<v Speaker 4>all these things.
<v Speaker 5>I don't.
<v Speaker 4>I rely on you, guys. And by the way, the
<v Speaker 4>NXT review is coming, guys, it is. It is coming
<v Speaker 4>a bit delayed this week. So let's look at some
<v Speaker 4>potential potential candidates for the IC title on Raw. Now,
<v Speaker 4>Cody is obviously not going to be involved in that.
<v Speaker 4>I wouldn't imagine even though Cody and Gunther were the
<v Speaker 4>last two in the rumble and it was a precursor
<v Speaker 4>to a potential program down the line, I wouldn't hate that,
<v Speaker 4>but Cody's it made no butts about it, Like he
<v Speaker 4>has focused on finishing the story and he kept emphasizing
<v Speaker 4>that until Brock once again detoyed him this past week.
<v Speaker 4>So for him to go over after the IC title,
<v Speaker 4>all of a sudden, he's satisfied with that, like you know,
<v Speaker 4>so Cody's kind of out of that. Matt Riddle possible, right,
<v Speaker 4>Matt Riddle is unless Randy Orton comes back and gets
<v Speaker 4>he gets in a program with Randy. Drew McIntyre absolutely plausible,
<v Speaker 4>except for the fact that we don't know what the
<v Speaker 4>hell Drew McIntyre is doing. It seems as if his
<v Speaker 4>contract negotiations are not going well based on the fact
<v Speaker 4>that they haven't mentioned him at all and he was
<v Speaker 4>supposed to be involved in the World Heavyweight Championship tournament.
<v Speaker 5>Not a good sign.
<v Speaker 4>Okay, So assuming Drew is not returning, he's out. Let's see,
<v Speaker 4>I'm looking at the other names here. We have well,
<v Speaker 4>Kevin Owens and Sammy's Ain, but they're an a tag
<v Speaker 4>team right now. We have no I was gonna say
<v Speaker 4>bron Stroman and Ricochet, but they're an a tag team still,
<v Speaker 4>which I I do not like them.
<v Speaker 5>As a tag team. It's bizarre.
<v Speaker 4>Uh, Johnny Gargano, No, we have Riddick Moss. No, so
<v Speaker 4>really I think, I mean, you have Seth Rollins, but
<v Speaker 4>you know he's gonna be World heavyweight champion. So Riddle
<v Speaker 4>maybe as a front runner to potentially beat Gunther, you know,
<v Speaker 4>but right now there is nobody outside of you know,
<v Speaker 4>J D McDonough and Matt Riddle. I don't see anybody
<v Speaker 4>that is. You know, you can have Shinske in the mix,
<v Speaker 4>but no real actual threats. Good question, and thanks for
<v Speaker 4>the email.
<v Speaker 5>Man.
<v Speaker 4>Let's uh, let's get to our next email. And this
<v Speaker 4>is from Dennis O'Brien. He says, hope the listeners are
<v Speaker 4>doing well. I thought Backlash was a mini WrestleMania. I
<v Speaker 4>enjoyed it immensely. Why the heck are they including SmackDown
<v Speaker 4>stars in the tournament for the Raw title. It's even baffling,
<v Speaker 4>even though I'm not surprised. Could they not have an
<v Speaker 4>eight man turn with the Raw stars like Cody Seth,
<v Speaker 4>Finn Nakamura, McIntyre, Omas Priest, even a few of the
<v Speaker 4>tag champs have them in there. I'm a fan of
<v Speaker 4>them is to be honest, but he is there. He
<v Speaker 4>is there before McIntyre. Anyway, I think it will be
<v Speaker 4>Rollins versus lastly at Night of Champions. Somehow Lesnar will
<v Speaker 4>cost Roads his chance at winning the title to set
<v Speaker 4>up Lesner Roads at SummerSlam in a last man standing
<v Speaker 4>or unsanctioned match. Just my prediction for what it's worth. Thanks, Matt, Yeah, no, no,
<v Speaker 4>no problem. You know, Dennis, good stuff. I mean, I
<v Speaker 4>have been baffled since the moment that Triple H had
<v Speaker 4>took a right turn at the press conference and decided
<v Speaker 4>to tell us that, oh yeah, by the way, guys,
<v Speaker 4>SmackDown stars are going to be involved in this, even
<v Speaker 4>though I told John Raw that this is an exclusive
<v Speaker 4>belt to Raw. Somehow the SmackDown stars are involved in
<v Speaker 4>a belt that's on Raw. Makes sense, right. They just
<v Speaker 4>wanted to have the biggest names possible, which again is
<v Speaker 4>an admission that they don't have. They feel they don't
<v Speaker 4>have enough of star power on Raw.
<v Speaker 5>It's just it's ridiculous.
<v Speaker 4>But anyway, I'm not going to go down that road again.
<v Speaker 4>You're right though, the names you mentioned could have absolutely
<v Speaker 4>outside of McIntyre been a part of this tournament and
<v Speaker 4>people wouldn't have said Boo about it and said, oh
<v Speaker 4>my god. These people, by the way, they never told
<v Speaker 4>us how those two triple threat contenders, those six men
<v Speaker 4>on Raw and SmackDown were chosen. How were they? Of course,
<v Speaker 4>no one's even explaining it. Why how are they chosen
<v Speaker 4>out of a hat? I mean, I don't know. But
<v Speaker 4>as far as Cody and h Lesler, Yeah, this looks
<v Speaker 4>like it's going to be a multi program, a multi
<v Speaker 4>match program. I mean, this is going to go past
<v Speaker 4>Night of Champions. I would imagine into Money in the
<v Speaker 4>Bank and I don't know, all the way to Summer Slam.
<v Speaker 4>That's kind of a stretch. SummerSlam, I think, is what
<v Speaker 4>like the first couple of days of August or something,
<v Speaker 4>so that means you'd have to go another three months.
<v Speaker 5>I doubt it.
<v Speaker 4>I think it will conclude at Money in the Bank,
<v Speaker 4>and you know, maybe that's when Cody gets back to Roman,
<v Speaker 4>and maybe it's Cody Roman it's at SummerSlam part two.
<v Speaker 5>Why not?
<v Speaker 4>You know, Cody and Roman put on a hell of
<v Speaker 4>a match at WrestleMania that could do it again. I
<v Speaker 4>think that's absolutely possible. But as far as an unsanctioned match,
<v Speaker 4>here's the thing. With unsanctioned matches. Whenever they announce that.
<v Speaker 4>It's hilarious to me that like, well, how do you well,
<v Speaker 4>this is a match, right, there's a referee in the ring,
<v Speaker 4>so like unsanctioned means it didn't happen, but it's happening.
<v Speaker 5>I don't know.
<v Speaker 4>I've always been a little bit getting into the definition
<v Speaker 4>of unsanctioned. It's it's always been a little bit confusing
<v Speaker 4>to me, but I understand the premise for it. You're
<v Speaker 4>trying to make it look like w W is not
<v Speaker 4>liable for anything they do in this match, and you
<v Speaker 4>know they're trying to from a legal standpoint, whatever you
<v Speaker 4>guys do to each other, we're not going to get
<v Speaker 4>We're not legally held to any kind of liability. So yeah,
<v Speaker 4>I mean that could happen. But lastly, and Rowlins that
<v Speaker 4>Night of Champions Absolutely, honestly, as I said last side
<v Speaker 4>of my raw review, you could really put any of
<v Speaker 4>those competitors in the ring against Rowlins. There's not one
<v Speaker 4>in there that is not believable to potentially in the
<v Speaker 4>match other than Austin theory simply for the fact that
<v Speaker 4>there is zero chance he has to win. Everybody else
<v Speaker 4>makes a small case that you could win. So I
<v Speaker 4>absolutely do believe that Rollins could be a real part
<v Speaker 4>of or rather Rollins and whoever could be a really
<v Speaker 4>good match because Rollins has good matches with nearly everybody,
<v Speaker 4>and so it's gonna be a fun night of champions.
<v Speaker 4>It doesn't really matter who they put against Rollins. Rollins
<v Speaker 4>is essentially the new world everyweight champion. So all right,
<v Speaker 4>let's get too Let's get to Chandler and he says,
<v Speaker 4>so what do you want to talk about? All right,
<v Speaker 4>I'm deleting this email.
<v Speaker 5>Next we have.
<v Speaker 4>No all right, I'll get to it. Because he took
<v Speaker 4>the time to write in Wow, that crowd in Florida
<v Speaker 4>was so dead. We need more Puerto Rico shows because
<v Speaker 4>that crowd was electric. I know I said this last week,
<v Speaker 4>but I'm going to Raw in July, and I hope
<v Speaker 4>that crowd is electric. Well, you're not gonna get Puerto Rico.
<v Speaker 5>And here's the thing.
<v Speaker 4>Even if we did have shows in Puerto Rico on
<v Speaker 4>an even semi regular basis, you're not going to match
<v Speaker 4>the crowd that we saw at Backlash. Why because when
<v Speaker 4>you have that much pent up frustration and that much
<v Speaker 4>pent up demand, and all of a sudden, you start
<v Speaker 4>showing up semi regularly. It becomes the rest less, less meaningful,
<v Speaker 4>less special, and you're not gonna the enthusiasm will wane.
<v Speaker 4>You're not gonna get that out of a crowd. You
<v Speaker 4>alstill have hot crowds in Puerto Rico even if you
<v Speaker 4>were there regularly, but not like that. That was a special,
<v Speaker 4>special crowd. So another thing I want to talk about
<v Speaker 4>is the World Heavyweight Championship tournament. I think they added
<v Speaker 4>SmackDown competitors because it makes it somewhat more interesting and
<v Speaker 4>if someone from SmackDown wins, they'll probably come to Raw. Anyway,
<v Speaker 4>that's it for this week. Yeah, no, I understand why
<v Speaker 4>they did it, but they shouldn't have been able to
<v Speaker 4>do it.
<v Speaker 5>That's the point.
<v Speaker 4>The draft is now official, it's locked in. We were
<v Speaker 4>told as of May eighth, a Monday Night Raw, that
<v Speaker 4>the rosters will become official. Okay, great, So if they're
<v Speaker 4>now official, how exactly again are people from SmackDown competing
<v Speaker 4>for a championship.
<v Speaker 5>That's on Raw. Explain that to me.
<v Speaker 4>It's simply that they wanted to have the biggest names possible.
<v Speaker 4>And I'm sorry you need to be held to your
<v Speaker 4>own damn rules.
<v Speaker 5>That's it.
<v Speaker 4>And they don't want to be held to their own
<v Speaker 4>rules and be handcuffed by the rules of the draft.
<v Speaker 4>Well that's too bad, So sad okay, these are the
<v Speaker 4>rules of the draft. Abide by them or don't have
<v Speaker 4>a draft. And they all ready without even the rosters
<v Speaker 4>being official. The ink wasn't even wet, as they say,
<v Speaker 4>the body wasn't even cold. I couldn't think of a
<v Speaker 4>third analogy. But they just couldn't even wait, and all
<v Speaker 4>of a sudden, it's like who It's like Vince McMahon
<v Speaker 4>came up with this in Triple Ah' is like fine,
<v Speaker 4>you know, I don't know. It's ridiculous. I don't care
<v Speaker 4>if that person comes to Raw. That's not the point.
<v Speaker 4>That actually doesn't make any sense either, because the why
<v Speaker 4>should somebody from SmackDown be able to compete for a
<v Speaker 4>belt that's exclusive to Raw? And if you're drafted to SmackDown,
<v Speaker 4>why are you having to go to Raw with a
<v Speaker 4>belt that you were told is on Raw but you're
<v Speaker 4>supposed to be drafted to SmackDown?
<v Speaker 5>Well what Trump's what?
<v Speaker 4>You shouldn't even have to have this discussion. It's ridiculous.
<v Speaker 4>I don't care if the matches are quote unquote better,
<v Speaker 4>there's more star power, I don't care. I'll sacrifice that
<v Speaker 4>for simply abiding by your own damn rules. Oh yeah, yeah,
<v Speaker 4>I know I'm gonna rant already. All right, let's go
<v Speaker 4>to Rebecca, and Rebecca says am I the only person
<v Speaker 4>who would like to see Otis versus Bronson read if
<v Speaker 4>Otis could get his act together in his mind off Maxine,
<v Speaker 4>that'd be great. Yeah, it would be absolutely. You know,
<v Speaker 4>two men that have very similar builds. I would imagine
<v Speaker 4>that's the appeal here. Yes, it would be except for
<v Speaker 4>the fact that they have, as you alluded to a
<v Speaker 4>little bit here, they've really redefined Otis back to a
<v Speaker 4>comedy character who's interested in being coming a a model
<v Speaker 4>or interested in Maxine romantically.
<v Speaker 5>I don't know.
<v Speaker 4>They've defined redefined Otis as this kind of lovable dude
<v Speaker 4>and instead of the killer that they started to define
<v Speaker 4>him as many months ago, which I thought was a
<v Speaker 4>nice move for him, a nice move for creative, nice change.
<v Speaker 4>Bronson Reid is being billed as the exact opposite. So
<v Speaker 4>you have this kind of lovable, jolly dude of Otis
<v Speaker 4>versus the killer of Bronson Reid. It's not exactly the
<v Speaker 4>best way to introduce this match. You'd want both of
<v Speaker 4>them to be kind of unequal footing, and Otis is
<v Speaker 4>just not there. I mean, I understand from a size
<v Speaker 4>perspective right now it's intriguing, but from where they are
<v Speaker 4>position wise on the roster and how they're being defined,
<v Speaker 4>it's not an attractive match because Otis based on how
<v Speaker 4>they defined them, Otis would be squashed in this match.
<v Speaker 4>It wouldn't be fun. But now I understand it, and
<v Speaker 4>they could go to this, but the problem right now
<v Speaker 4>is how they have repackaged Otis. Bronson's not the problem.
<v Speaker 5>Otis is.
<v Speaker 4>Creatively, they could, they could resurrect him, no problem, redefine him.
<v Speaker 4>But as of this moment, I'm may tenth. I wouldn't
<v Speaker 4>want to see that match because it wouldn't be the
<v Speaker 4>best it could be. Thank you so much, Rebecca, and
<v Speaker 4>let's get to our I think this is our final
<v Speaker 4>email before we get to voicemails, and this one is
<v Speaker 4>from Ari the Circus ice fan that I don't know
<v Speaker 4>if I pronounce that right, but we'll find out. And
<v Speaker 4>he says IWW podcast as usual to your podcast is
<v Speaker 4>always good and fun to listen. Well, thank you. You
<v Speaker 4>and Anthony talk about it, talking about Roman possibly to
<v Speaker 4>be the new champion and how the crowd will react.
<v Speaker 4>I think it's interesting, but I also say, please don't Yeah, no, no, no,
<v Speaker 4>I'm with you. I would I'll speak for Anthony on
<v Speaker 4>his behalf. I would imagine he also would disagree that
<v Speaker 4>Roman should be also the World heavyweight champion. It's just
<v Speaker 4>fun to think about just to I mean, that would
<v Speaker 4>take some serious creative balls on the on the on
<v Speaker 4>WWE's behalf, I don't think they're going to do it.
<v Speaker 4>I'm with you, nor would I really want to see it.
<v Speaker 4>It's just more of like the dark side of me
<v Speaker 4>wants to see it.
<v Speaker 5>All right.
<v Speaker 4>Roman is good and it was some fun for the
<v Speaker 4>fans for his time as champion, but the story needs
<v Speaker 4>to finish because now we've had a great time and
<v Speaker 4>new superstars are rising. Yeah, it's time, right, Like, there
<v Speaker 4>will reach a time where it's going to this chapter
<v Speaker 4>on Roman being champion will close. I don't know when
<v Speaker 4>that is, but also wouldn't it behoove new stars to
<v Speaker 4>work with romanis champion to help elevate them to that
<v Speaker 4>next level, you know what I mean. So the case
<v Speaker 4>actually works in the opposite the argument that rather works
<v Speaker 4>than the opposite way, where keeping romanist champion may actually
<v Speaker 4>help build new stars.
<v Speaker 5>Just the thought.
<v Speaker 4>Again, I'm not advocating for Roman to be champion forever,
<v Speaker 4>but there is a counter argument there. Last thought, I
<v Speaker 4>was thinking out possible, maybe, just maybe, what if Roman
<v Speaker 4>was to lose at Night of Champions in nine hundred
<v Speaker 4>and ninety nine days. Well here's the problem. Roman at
<v Speaker 4>the at the event of ninety Champions would have already
<v Speaker 4>reached his thousandth day, that is the thousandth day, so
<v Speaker 4>he could lose on his one thousandth day. But here
<v Speaker 4>here's evidence against that. Number one Michael Cole has mentioned
<v Speaker 4>already on Raw was it Michael Cole on SmackDown? Rather
<v Speaker 4>that Roman has now another milestone in Pedro Morales, who
<v Speaker 4>was out one thy twenty eight days. He wouldn't have
<v Speaker 4>mentioned that if he wasn't, if Roman wasn't going to
<v Speaker 4>to succeed that so and also you know that I
<v Speaker 4>very much doubt that they would get to a thousand
<v Speaker 4>days only to have Roman lose on his one thousandth day,
<v Speaker 4>I don't know, doesn't seem right with w booking. But
<v Speaker 4>when someone like Jay Uso costs him a kick to
<v Speaker 4>Roman's face, I'm not sure what you mean. Are you're saying, oh,
<v Speaker 4>jay Uso would cost Roman by kicking him in the face.
<v Speaker 4>It really here's how it could end. It could end
<v Speaker 4>up with Jay finally snapping. It depends how long they're
<v Speaker 4>going to tell the story of the bloodline breaking and
<v Speaker 4>snapping and especial specifically Jay. If this was a normal
<v Speaker 4>quote unquote normal storyline with a semi popular group or
<v Speaker 4>semi successful group, the heel Champion's done a decent job,
<v Speaker 4>I would say this breakup's coming sooner than later. But
<v Speaker 4>with a bloodline group, a storyline that they've had that
<v Speaker 4>has been generally nearly every week captivating, well acted, well scripted,
<v Speaker 4>and then the money and ratings at this group and
<v Speaker 4>storyline is drawn, they're gonna milk this longer than probably
<v Speaker 4>fans want it to happen, because once the blood line breaks,
<v Speaker 4>then they go they go their separate ways, and you
<v Speaker 4>know you're ending a storyline that has brought you so much,
<v Speaker 4>so much success WWE. This is not your normal, average storyline,
<v Speaker 4>and it's a cash cow right now with Roman and
<v Speaker 4>the Ussos and the merch and everything else. No doubt
<v Speaker 4>about it that they're not going to just get rid
<v Speaker 4>of this quickly, and nor should they, because there's a
<v Speaker 4>lot of story to tell, a lot of teasing to
<v Speaker 4>be done before Jay finally does snap and maybe cost
<v Speaker 4>Roman a championship match. Maybe he does possible. I don't
<v Speaker 4>think it happens at night of champions Let me just
<v Speaker 4>say that, all right. We do have one more email
<v Speaker 4>that came in as I was reading that email, and
<v Speaker 4>this is MJ MJ from Australia. He says, Hey, Matt
<v Speaker 4>MJ from Australia. Here mate, love your work, thanks to
<v Speaker 4>keep it up. Well thanks MJ. What is it with
<v Speaker 4>you guys in Australia? You guys are you know?
<v Speaker 7>Really?
<v Speaker 4>I did not know I had that many fans over there? Okay,
<v Speaker 4>all the way, how many miles is Australia from Upstate
<v Speaker 4>New York? Can somebody google map that for me. That's
<v Speaker 4>got to be ten thousand miles or something. So pretty
<v Speaker 4>damn cool. All right, So you say I had a
<v Speaker 4>thought relegitimizing the World Heavyweight Championship as not a secondary
<v Speaker 4>title and have a double benefit of having Roman showing
<v Speaker 4>Roman as beatable to give them an option to take
<v Speaker 4>the WWE Universal off him later in twenty twenty three.
<v Speaker 4>You've spoken about a one percent theory that Roman wins
<v Speaker 4>the World Heavyweight Championship, But what if he is in
<v Speaker 4>just the World Heavyweight Championship match versus Seth to lose.
<v Speaker 4>He is due Unsmackdown on Friday and could demand or
<v Speaker 4>fight or injure someone to get his way into the
<v Speaker 4>semi final SmackDown main event as a triple threat, and
<v Speaker 4>he wins and faces Seth. Jetta would want to pay
<v Speaker 4>for a matt want Slash pay for a match with
<v Speaker 4>Roman in it surely, which isn't currently organized. His titles
<v Speaker 4>wouldn't be on the line. It could be booked as
<v Speaker 4>him trying to collect all the main titles in WWE
<v Speaker 4>and retain his spot as the head of the table.
<v Speaker 4>Seth is the only championship match opponent to not lose
<v Speaker 4>to Roman. He won via d Q during his run. Hence,
<v Speaker 4>they could believably give Seth the victory over Roman either
<v Speaker 4>clean or wonky, immediately giving Seth and the world have
<v Speaker 4>you win championship relevance as quote equal to the top title.
<v Speaker 5>Am I crazy fantasy booking? Or is it plausible? Plausible?
<v Speaker 5>MJ Definitely plausible. Is it likely?
<v Speaker 4>That's a different question. Likely, No, plausible, Yes, So let
<v Speaker 4>me talk about the positives of this having Roman in
<v Speaker 4>the title match?
<v Speaker 5>Would?
<v Speaker 4>I mean, you couldn't have a more clear babyface and
<v Speaker 4>heel in this match. Jetta would absolutely play along. The
<v Speaker 4>crowd would be electric for Seth, no doubt. And Seth
<v Speaker 4>and Roman have a lot of unfinished business. They work
<v Speaker 4>very well together and Roman has a very poor record
<v Speaker 4>against Seth and championship matches. That's all true, that's really good,
<v Speaker 4>and you're right, Jetta would Jetta. They will do anything
<v Speaker 4>or pay anything to have whatever match card they want.
<v Speaker 4>And it really comes down to that, Like I mean,
<v Speaker 4>they're heavily influenced by whatever they want, and that could happen.
<v Speaker 4>It could. I'd give it like a one in four chance.
<v Speaker 4>That's not a bad idea. So those are the positives.
<v Speaker 4>Here are the reasons why it probably wouldn't happen. Number one,
<v Speaker 4>if you're gonna have a program with Seth and Roman
<v Speaker 4>the next time they meet whenever, that is I wanted
<v Speaker 4>a full fledged story. I don't want it just a
<v Speaker 4>one off like they have. They did it Royal Rumble
<v Speaker 4>in twenty twenty two. That was a one off and
<v Speaker 4>we didn't get any follow up to that, you know,
<v Speaker 4>eighteen months later, And if this was to happen, it
<v Speaker 4>would be another one off with Seth and Roman, thereby
<v Speaker 4>kind of taking away a potential WrestleMania made event by
<v Speaker 4>giving it away in the middle of the year. Here,
<v Speaker 4>you could still do it at WrestleMania if they wanted
<v Speaker 4>to go that road. But if mister Hollywood comes out,
<v Speaker 4>then you know it's Rock and Roman at Mania, then
<v Speaker 4>maybe there's a stronger case because then who the hell
<v Speaker 4>knows when you get to Seth in Roman barring a trade.
<v Speaker 4>So and also if you did this, that would mean
<v Speaker 4>that Roman reigns loses and he hasn't lost a singles match.
<v Speaker 4>He lost the tag title. He lost the tag team
<v Speaker 4>match on New Year's ZVE. I believe it was with
<v Speaker 4>John Cena and Kevin Owens. Was a Kevin Owens think
<v Speaker 4>it was, and so he lost that match, but it
<v Speaker 4>was a tag team match and he wasn't the one
<v Speaker 4>being pinned. So if Roman was to lose this, presumably
<v Speaker 4>against Seth, then that means his undefeated streak goes away. Now,
<v Speaker 4>his title streak would stay intact because the Universal would
<v Speaker 4>be on the line Universal slash ww he wouldn't be
<v Speaker 4>on the line, but his undefeated street goes away. And
<v Speaker 4>there is some value in liquidity in that too that
<v Speaker 4>I don't think gets enough attention. That Roman hasn't lost
<v Speaker 4>a singles match, a one on one since I mean
<v Speaker 4>before Summer Slam of twenty twenty, So there's that argument.
<v Speaker 4>So all, when it comes down to it, would I
<v Speaker 4>ultimately do this?
<v Speaker 5>Probably not?
<v Speaker 4>Probably not, And the strongest reason for me is I
<v Speaker 4>want a proper multi month program with Seth and Roman.
<v Speaker 4>It's a deserving of that, not just these weird one
<v Speaker 4>offs with them when you know, and then they don't
<v Speaker 4>follow up on anything because they cant because they're on
<v Speaker 4>separate brands. So that's what I think, But I could
<v Speaker 4>see them doing it.
<v Speaker 5>Great question. All right, thanks MJ.
<v Speaker 4>And let's get to those voicemails. Hope you're ready, let's
<v Speaker 4>do it.
<v Speaker 6>Donna me Podcasts, Well, this is DJ Coulsbo.
<v Speaker 2>Back added it.
<v Speaker 6>Get on your mail, Max Show Records, you live on
<v Speaker 6>a Wednesday morning, and let's.
<v Speaker 8>Get to your favorite show coming every single week on
<v Speaker 8>the mail bag. And I'm talking about the viv the Vere,
<v Speaker 8>de Vere, the.
<v Speaker 6>Vere, the Vere Mahara Report.
<v Speaker 8>Now, the Ver mahar Report took place this past Monday
<v Speaker 8>Night on Monday Night Raw, and we didn't get an
<v Speaker 8>appearance of the in this year. In a backstage vignette,
<v Speaker 8>and Gender Mahall says, from the shadows we emerged to
<v Speaker 8>shape the very foundation of Monday Night Raw.
<v Speaker 6>Yes, yes, and yes, this is what I'm talking about.
<v Speaker 6>This is the type of message, this is.
<v Speaker 8>The type of threat that I want to see the
<v Speaker 8>guys on the Indu Year pose to the roster of
<v Speaker 8>Monday Night Raw.
<v Speaker 6>That's right.
<v Speaker 8>To Ricochet had brought Strowman to the Alpha Academy head
<v Speaker 8>to every single many.
<v Speaker 6>On the roster.
<v Speaker 8>That's right, even the tag team champions of Kevin Owens
<v Speaker 8>and Semi's a you better watch your back because the
<v Speaker 8>Indus Year are on the move.
<v Speaker 6>So that was the max stage vignette for Gender ma Hall.
<v Speaker 8>He's hyping up, hyping up their debut on me in
<v Speaker 8>this year on Monday Night Raw.
<v Speaker 6>But now let's get to Twitter.
<v Speaker 8>Let's get to what verr Maha had to say these
<v Speaker 8>past couple of days on Twitter on May seven, Uh,
<v Speaker 8>none other that my guy ver Mahan says, looking forward
<v Speaker 8>to going up against teams dumb enough to agree to
<v Speaker 8>get it into the rig with us. Oh and for
<v Speaker 8>those talking smack recently, now start paying attention. That's for
<v Speaker 8>all you trolls out there on the Internet that always says, Oh,
<v Speaker 8>he's coming, He's coming. This is different this time because
<v Speaker 8>Triple H is in control of this.
<v Speaker 6>I guess you could say creative direction. Oh, my guys
<v Speaker 6>day in this year.
<v Speaker 8>So that was verr Mahan saying that on May seventh,
<v Speaker 8>and on May sixth. On May sixth Twitter, On Twitter,
<v Speaker 8>vere Mahan says, lights.
<v Speaker 6>Camera action, the fear return to Raw.
<v Speaker 8>And of course this was taken as he was doing
<v Speaker 8>a little photo shoot. I like the look of my
<v Speaker 8>guy verr Maha wearing those nice power suits as he
<v Speaker 8>is doing his photo shoot getting ready for They're Awesome,
<v Speaker 8>awesome appearance.
<v Speaker 6>They're Awesome debut on Monday Night Raw.
<v Speaker 8>Now, with that being said, this, my friends, is the
<v Speaker 8>beginning of getting into phase two as gender more. Hall
<v Speaker 8>says that in phase two that he wants to see
<v Speaker 8>himself and of course verr Maha.
<v Speaker 6>And of course some good stripe and gold now whatever
<v Speaker 6>that is, I can't wait to see that.
<v Speaker 8>So when that being said, before I go over my time,
<v Speaker 8>I hope you'll have a blessed week.
<v Speaker 6>This is your guy, DJ Cousman, this is your boy,
<v Speaker 6>DJ Couzmo. Have a blessed week. Stay using my friends,
<v Speaker 6>be guy to one another at peace.
<v Speaker 4>All right, Well, DJ, I am genuinely excited for you.
<v Speaker 4>Now you finally have something to sink your teeth into.
<v Speaker 4>After weeks and weeks of the Indus Shear being MIA.
<v Speaker 4>The hope was that they were getting prepared for the
<v Speaker 4>main roster, and that's exactly what we got this past week,
<v Speaker 4>albeit in a vignette. Will take it given that they
<v Speaker 4>were just completely visible the last month or longer. So yeah,
<v Speaker 4>now they're on raw and we'll see who they target.
<v Speaker 4>It's I'm imagining going to be a baby faced team.
<v Speaker 4>Maybe they go right to Kevin and Sammy. Maybe if
<v Speaker 4>they do, that would mean that they're probably not going
<v Speaker 4>to win the tag titles right away. You know, I
<v Speaker 4>think Sammy and Kevin need time to breathe as champions.
<v Speaker 4>I don't think they'll have a super long reign as
<v Speaker 4>champion because both of them as single stars are still
<v Speaker 4>a lot of fun. So because they climb them ounta
<v Speaker 4>and they achieved what they need to and now hey,
<v Speaker 4>over the next by, by Summer Slam, I would imagine
<v Speaker 4>even at SummerSlam that Kevin and Sammy probably dropped the
<v Speaker 4>belts and then maybe go their separate ways without actually,
<v Speaker 4>you know, wanting to have one of them turn on
<v Speaker 4>the other, which would be a revelation, wouldn't it. So,
<v Speaker 4>But as far as the end of year goes, it
<v Speaker 4>was great to see they feel legit as a team,
<v Speaker 4>you know, and hopefully this coming Monday we get a
<v Speaker 4>longer vignette at the very least, you know, I don't
<v Speaker 4>want them to fade away where we don't see anything
<v Speaker 4>from them. I hope it's continuous. It's the key with
<v Speaker 4>this group, especially with them being new to most fans
<v Speaker 4>outside of General Mahall, is consistency and character development before
<v Speaker 4>they even get in the ring, because we need to
<v Speaker 4>know who and what they are and what they stand for,
<v Speaker 4>what they want before the fans can get emotionally invested,
<v Speaker 4>you know, before they step foot.
<v Speaker 9>In the ring.
<v Speaker 4>We need to hear and see what they're about, and
<v Speaker 4>then when they get in the ring will actually react verbally,
<v Speaker 4>which is what they want one way or the other.
<v Speaker 4>Make our decisions based on their characters, their goals, their morals,
<v Speaker 4>all that, which clearly they're being billed as heels, but
<v Speaker 4>you still want to be emotionally invested, especially as they're new, right,
<v Speaker 4>you know for most people's Sanga and vir Mahan are
<v Speaker 4>new faces for most people, right, So all right, good
<v Speaker 4>job DJ, and I heard that from last week. I
<v Speaker 4>heard seagulls. This week it's replaced by police sirens. So
<v Speaker 4>I'm imagining you're not in a and as enviable of
<v Speaker 4>a place as you were last week on the beach,
<v Speaker 4>and it sounded like you're on the street or something.
<v Speaker 4>I don't know, but hope you enjoy your day and weekend.
<v Speaker 4>Let's get to our.
<v Speaker 9>Next one, and it's Karl for Baltimore. Someone didn't talk
<v Speaker 9>about back last TUSK last night, and it was a
<v Speaker 9>really good show. I enjoyed it start to finish. It
<v Speaker 9>was really entertaining, the crowd was really hot for very
<v Speaker 9>matched last night. The team, I just want to talk
<v Speaker 9>about that really surprised me. I loving crowd reaction was
<v Speaker 9>just one. It was Leo and and Bianca. People badly
<v Speaker 9>want to Yo as the champion, and I want to
<v Speaker 9>Yeo as champion too, because Bianca has been a very
<v Speaker 9>boring dult champion. But the crowd batdly was behind Els,
<v Speaker 9>was behind the EO sky last night. I was like, wow,
<v Speaker 9>should they put the title on EO and and Bianca's ragin?
<v Speaker 9>I think they should have loved a lot of time
<v Speaker 9>ago because has been a very boring dult champion. So
<v Speaker 9>but after that performance from EO, they need to do
<v Speaker 9>more wor currently singles wrestler again like you did, like
<v Speaker 9>like she was the NETXTT so hopefully got to come
<v Speaker 9>and she used to be championed very soon. Maybe she
<v Speaker 9>won't money to bake this year, who knows, but there's that.
<v Speaker 9>The other thing was Omas and Rollins. Glad that Rollins
<v Speaker 9>won that match is very entertained. I was not expecting it,
<v Speaker 9>but I knew how good Rowins was was as a wrestler,
<v Speaker 9>but you never know what's you know, how his coachy
<v Speaker 9>with Omas going to beeps, but I was surprisedly it was.
<v Speaker 9>It was. It was surprisably good of an Almas match
<v Speaker 9>because of Rollins, but glad that Rowlins won. He needs
<v Speaker 9>to be World Headly Champion. And so those team matches
<v Speaker 9>really were fine. The show as a whole was really
<v Speaker 9>fun as a whole, but I enjoyed those team matches
<v Speaker 9>in particular. But when you think about the whole EO
<v Speaker 9>sky Clutch, that's the singles wrestler after that performance and
<v Speaker 9>reaction from her last night, But that's a differal call. Buy.
<v Speaker 4>Hey, Kyle, I'm glad you brought up Bianca and EO again.
<v Speaker 4>You made me think of something where the crowd was
<v Speaker 4>super behind EO.
<v Speaker 5>We all know that.
<v Speaker 4>I mean, like unexpectedly hot behind EO, and I wonder
<v Speaker 4>if it's more that.
<v Speaker 8>Is it.
<v Speaker 4>Let me pose this question to you and just everybody
<v Speaker 4>in general. Was the crowd that night more interested in
<v Speaker 4>seeing EO capture the women's championship or were the fans
<v Speaker 4>collectively just more interested in seeing Bianca just dropping the belt?
<v Speaker 4>And what I mean by that more specifically is are
<v Speaker 4>fans not even going to care who she drops the
<v Speaker 4>belt to? And just they wanted to drop the belt?
<v Speaker 4>That I think is, if I was to guess more
<v Speaker 4>of the answer than oh my God, people are suddenly
<v Speaker 4>super emotionally invested into EO.
<v Speaker 5>Sky.
<v Speaker 4>I'm gonna venture to guess that the bigger reason behind
<v Speaker 4>the reaction is that people are just done with Bianca's
<v Speaker 4>champion more than they want to see EO Sky's champion.
<v Speaker 4>I mean, it could have been anybody in there. Maybe
<v Speaker 4>not anybody, but do you know what I'm saying, Because
<v Speaker 4>they haven't done exactly a whole lot of character development
<v Speaker 4>with EO I mean, little to none. So I'm going
<v Speaker 4>to venture to guess it's that. And I will say
<v Speaker 4>this about Bianca. As talented as she is in the ring,
<v Speaker 4>her personality is, like you said, it's just been extremely
<v Speaker 4>boring for a long period of time now. And I
<v Speaker 4>cannot scream he'll turn enough. But if they don't do it,
<v Speaker 4>and they refuse, and they say we're pushing forward regardless,
<v Speaker 4>well then they're going to have a situation on their
<v Speaker 4>hands where fans are just going to organically turn against Bianca.
<v Speaker 4>I would I would venture to guess that fans are
<v Speaker 4>going to start organically turning on her already, you know,
<v Speaker 4>And I don't think it's going to be a Puerto
<v Speaker 4>Rican you know, response from town to town but I
<v Speaker 4>think it's starting already where you're going to start to
<v Speaker 4>hear less of reaction, which will eventually turn to booze.
<v Speaker 4>So either WWE is going to turn her heel or
<v Speaker 4>the fans are going to do it. But either way,
<v Speaker 4>she's going to be heel she needs to, or if
<v Speaker 4>you don't want her heal, then have her drop the belt.
<v Speaker 4>For the love of God, it's just time, that's all.
<v Speaker 4>They've just done a bad job of managing her character
<v Speaker 4>since she's been champion. That's all all right.
<v Speaker 10>Next one, Hey, Matt, this is Robert from the WWE
<v Speaker 10>Ringside Podcast. We are now through backlash and we're looking
<v Speaker 10>forward tonight a champion. So I kind of wanted to
<v Speaker 10>throw out a match card that I think should happen anyway.
<v Speaker 7>This is before Raw, so.
<v Speaker 10>I don't know anything that's really happening on Raw yet.
<v Speaker 10>But so I think we're gonna get Shana versus Shana
<v Speaker 10>and Ronda versus Living Raquel for the Women's Tag Team Championship.
<v Speaker 10>I think we're going to get Riddle versus Dunther for
<v Speaker 10>the Icy title. I think we might get Ria versus
<v Speaker 10>Bianca bell Air in entile unification for the women's title
<v Speaker 10>Rawlins versus Edge for the World Heavyweight Championship Finals, Lessner
<v Speaker 10>versus Rhodes and Roman versus Jay Usso in the main event.
<v Speaker 10>So that is what I think should happen on night,
<v Speaker 10>have champions. What are your thoughts on that?
<v Speaker 7>It's all I got.
<v Speaker 10>Friers of this week, have a good one today.
<v Speaker 4>Hey, Robert, not a bad card that you lined up there,
<v Speaker 4>not a bad card at all. I'm you know, the
<v Speaker 4>the Jus Roman Reigns match. The only reason I'm thinking
<v Speaker 4>it's not gonna happen is because that's a match that
<v Speaker 4>you want to continue to push out forward and tell
<v Speaker 4>his story and tell his story. But then if Roman's
<v Speaker 4>not competing against j who the hell is he competing against,
<v Speaker 4>you know, because that would signal the end of the bloodline, presumably,
<v Speaker 4>And I don't think they're gonna do that in you know,
<v Speaker 4>three weeks time, right, I don't think they will anyway.
<v Speaker 4>That said, your other matches with Riddle against Gunther, yes,
<v Speaker 4>I mean, and you know what, I would also say,
<v Speaker 4>maybe Big Ee, But about a returning Big Ee against Gunther,
<v Speaker 4>there's a hell of a matchup. People who aren't talking
<v Speaker 4>about Big Ee, I know, that he's out there too.
<v Speaker 4>He's been injured for a year, but with the New
<v Speaker 4>Day on raw WWE will likely sadly put him back
<v Speaker 4>with the New Day, but also in an Intercontinental Championship
<v Speaker 4>match against Gunther if Riddle doesn't stay up up? Sure,
<v Speaker 4>how about that Ronda Rousey and Shanna Basler against liv
<v Speaker 4>and Raquel.
<v Speaker 5>Sure? Fine?
<v Speaker 4>You know, I say that apathetically because I'm not into
<v Speaker 4>Raquel and Live as champions at all. I think they're
<v Speaker 4>actually obnoxious. They don't make me. They don't they don't
<v Speaker 4>give me the warm fuzzy feeling in my stomach. Seeing
<v Speaker 4>them as a tag team is really really just I
<v Speaker 4>don't know, it's just obnoxious. I don't know how else
<v Speaker 4>to describe it. They they almost are intentionally trying to
<v Speaker 4>sabotage their babyface characters. I'm not a fan. So if
<v Speaker 4>Raquel and Live drop the belts to Shana and Ronda, hey,
<v Speaker 4>sign me up? Really, I mean sign me up, because
<v Speaker 4>that would legitimize the championships further, which Doe needs always
<v Speaker 4>help with the women's tag belts, and it would make
<v Speaker 4>me hate Raquel and Live less, so resent them or
<v Speaker 4>I don't know what it is anybody. Let's get that
<v Speaker 4>feeling with Raquel and Live. It's like they're trying too
<v Speaker 4>hard or they try to have forced chemistry. It just
<v Speaker 4>comes off awkward, and I don't know, they've been really
<v Speaker 4>obnoxious on TV. It just hasn't worked for me. They're
<v Speaker 4>better off as single stars. But if they want to
<v Speaker 4>create a women's division, then I will sacrifice them to
<v Speaker 4>the women's division of the tag team anyway, because I'm
<v Speaker 4>always complaining the ww doesn't have a women's tag division,
<v Speaker 4>so I will I will sign them to a tag
<v Speaker 4>team if they want to go that road. But Babyface,
<v Speaker 4>I don't know, Omas or rather you had Seth Rollins
<v Speaker 4>versus Edge, Yeah, I have no problem with that. And
<v Speaker 4>they could call back to the history that those two have.
<v Speaker 4>There's a long history. I believe Edge won the final
<v Speaker 4>blowoff if I'm not mistaken. They could absolutely do that.
<v Speaker 4>I mean, there's no chance of Edge winning none, But
<v Speaker 4>still you could have Seth Rollins in a great match
<v Speaker 4>with Edge, because you know those two work well together.
<v Speaker 4>I think that's a very plausible. Definitely. All right, let's
<v Speaker 4>get to our next one. Thanks Robert, and.
<v Speaker 11>That's Betan here. Hope you will what's backlash. I enjoyed it.
<v Speaker 11>I love the the Bianca mash. That was a great showing.
<v Speaker 11>But the thing I want to talk about, and it's
<v Speaker 11>probably more of a RANTI the crowd. I mean again,
<v Speaker 11>we've had two paints to use outside of America in
<v Speaker 11>front of an audience who really appreciates what this is
<v Speaker 11>all about. Just bear with me as I'll give you
<v Speaker 11>a bit of back info here. So here in Australia
<v Speaker 11>we have a called v Supercars, which is a motor
<v Speaker 11>sports series, one of the toughest in the world, probably Arkaanasca.
<v Speaker 11>Now a few years ago they decided to expand into Bahrain,
<v Speaker 11>Abughabi and China and there were no one in the seats,
<v Speaker 11>There was no one watching the race there. It looked
<v Speaker 11>it was I think they were just in an empty stadium.
<v Speaker 12>For instance.
<v Speaker 11>Now in Australia, twenty of those drivers in the series
<v Speaker 11>are from New Zealand, and yet they don't go to
<v Speaker 11>New Zealand to have a round of racing over there.
<v Speaker 11>So what really annoys me is that these series, and
<v Speaker 11>I'm also alluding our to wwe are not going to
<v Speaker 11>the places where the crowd appreciates, where the crowd invests
<v Speaker 11>in the love for this. Instead they go to places
<v Speaker 11>like in the case of Motorsport here to Abidhabi, su Bahrain,
<v Speaker 11>in the case of w W to Saudi Arabia. I mean,
<v Speaker 11>I don't feel the crowd really, I don't invested at all.
<v Speaker 11>I mean, pairly, it's all about money, but it just sucks.
<v Speaker 11>I mean, WW should go more to Mexico, to the
<v Speaker 11>you know countries, because what thirty to maybe even fifty
<v Speaker 11>percent of the w W roster is Latino is Mexican. Ah,
<v Speaker 11>they're just totally missing a trick here. Elimination channel Canada,
<v Speaker 11>massive crowd. They need to go to Canada malls. They
<v Speaker 11>need to go into Central America mall.
<v Speaker 7>They could even.
<v Speaker 11>Possibly go to the UK a bit more too, because
<v Speaker 11>I believe the crowds are pretty good.
<v Speaker 13>Uh yeah, so yeah, oh.
<v Speaker 9>I don't know.
<v Speaker 11>It just shows when we go to these other countries
<v Speaker 11>are Canada, Puerto Rico, even Mexico, when they go to
<v Speaker 11>the crowd are going to be electric. And that's what
<v Speaker 11>makes you watch it as a viewer on television. So yeah, anyway,
<v Speaker 11>that's all I wanted to say, And yeah, thanks again
<v Speaker 11>for a great shat.
<v Speaker 14>Cheers by.
<v Speaker 4>Bevan, it's got buddy, are you recruiting a bunch of
<v Speaker 4>people down there to listen to the show? Because you
<v Speaker 4>were like one of the first Australian listeners and then
<v Speaker 4>all of a sudden, all these people come on that
<v Speaker 4>are from Australia. It's I'm just like a bitch of
<v Speaker 4>Bevan's behind this, right? But I think you answered your
<v Speaker 4>own question. Why don't they go to these places? You
<v Speaker 4>answered it. I don't need to tell you money. I
<v Speaker 4>know that it's a You look at it as fan
<v Speaker 4>service and appreciation. They respect first and foremost. As cold
<v Speaker 4>as this sounds, but it's reality. They are driven by money.
<v Speaker 4>They're a for profit organization. They're in the business of
<v Speaker 4>making money, period. And the reason they go to Saudi
<v Speaker 4>Arabia despite all of the bad press and scandals going
<v Speaker 4>on there in the government and them.
<v Speaker 5>Ridiculously a couple of years ago with who is it A? C.
<v Speaker 4>Evans and Italia celebrating the first ever woman's match in
<v Speaker 4>Saudi Arabia, it's like celebrating, you know, somebody being able
<v Speaker 4>to drive a car for the first time in the country.
<v Speaker 4>It's like, why are we celebrating this again? It's twenty
<v Speaker 4>twenty one or whatever it was twenty two. I don't
<v Speaker 4>I forget what years a couple of years ago. You know,
<v Speaker 4>we're all supposed to celebrate that it took this long
<v Speaker 4>for women to be treated as human beings. And by
<v Speaker 4>the way, they still don't have the equal rights as
<v Speaker 4>men in Saudi Arabia. But that's another issue. It's I'm
<v Speaker 4>not a I'm not a proponent of celebrating things that
<v Speaker 4>should already be happening and should have been happening for
<v Speaker 4>a long time. And it's this big moment. Okay, I
<v Speaker 4>know I'm zeroing in on that one thing specifically, and
<v Speaker 4>I'm going off track, so let me get back on.
<v Speaker 4>They don't go to these places that often because of
<v Speaker 4>simply money. It's expensive to travel there, Okay, they have to,
<v Speaker 4>you know, there's a lot of fees and expenses that
<v Speaker 4>are incurred, especially when you have to cross the Atlantic
<v Speaker 4>Ocean or Pacific Ocean. Like it's a longer travel time,
<v Speaker 4>a longer return time. Everything is more expensive doing this,
<v Speaker 4>and often WWE doesn't bring in the same amount of
<v Speaker 4>revenue as if they did their typical spots. So I
<v Speaker 4>understand why they do it. At the same time, to
<v Speaker 4>your argument, if they're always telling us that they're a
<v Speaker 4>global brand, will then take it global, right, because the
<v Speaker 4>crowd reaction we heard in Puerto Rico is certainly an
<v Speaker 4>indication that there's pent up frustration, there's pent up demand
<v Speaker 4>around the world for WWE and the fans like yourself
<v Speaker 4>in Australia and the UK, which they've gotten a little
<v Speaker 4>bit better about in Mexico and things they.
<v Speaker 7>Are.
<v Speaker 4>You know, I feel for you guys, because you're big fans,
<v Speaker 4>loyal fans, and yet you're like, why the hell don't
<v Speaker 4>they come here? You know, I'm sorry, bro, it comes
<v Speaker 4>down to simply money.
<v Speaker 5>While there are.
<v Speaker 4>Fans there, they have a big marketing and research team
<v Speaker 4>that probably tells them, hey, if we went here, here,
<v Speaker 4>so much we'd make If we went here, look how
<v Speaker 4>much we'd make here? Do I think they'll go to
<v Speaker 4>Australia eventually for a pl e, probably in Melbourne. I
<v Speaker 4>know they've done it before, haven't they. I feel like
<v Speaker 4>they've done this before. I'd have to google it. It's
<v Speaker 4>not like they've never been there, but it's been quite
<v Speaker 4>some time. So my point is that I feel your pain,
<v Speaker 4>and it also is you know, the other countries are
<v Speaker 4>embarrassing the United States. I mean we we are being
<v Speaker 4>embarrassed by the enthusiasm, the passion that these other crowds have.
<v Speaker 4>It shows you the potential that a crowd could have
<v Speaker 4>on a product, and it's immense. It's more impactful than
<v Speaker 4>you realize when you when you see the potential of
<v Speaker 4>what a crowd can do. And now the thing is
<v Speaker 4>also the US audience is kind of desensitized to w
<v Speaker 4>w E events. They run the same cities every six months.
<v Speaker 4>You know, you get it raw, then you get a
<v Speaker 4>smack down, then you get a house show. If you're lucky,
<v Speaker 4>you get a p l E.
<v Speaker 7>You know.
<v Speaker 4>And they've you know, the same thing with Canada, although
<v Speaker 4>they don't go there nearly enough either. Montreal seems to
<v Speaker 4>be there one of their favorite places to go, but
<v Speaker 4>outside of that, they they don't really venture around Canada.
<v Speaker 4>But yeah, man, it's all about the benjamins. It's all
<v Speaker 4>about that money, money, money, right, it really is. It
<v Speaker 4>comes down to that, sadly, but already, thank you, brother.
<v Speaker 4>Let's get to our next one.
<v Speaker 14>Hey man, Michael Connecticut calling it and two points to
<v Speaker 14>make the first one. I had a analogy that came
<v Speaker 14>to my real quick. I'm the drummer of the group
<v Speaker 14>of the guys I hang out with, and I always,
<v Speaker 14>you know, fascinated by guitar playing, and specifically a quick
<v Speaker 14>kind of guitar playing like Eddie Van Halen and Stevie By.
<v Speaker 14>It always fascinated me help fast those guys fingers and
<v Speaker 14>just make the sounds that they do. And so my
<v Speaker 14>buddies who played the guitar, they're like, well, it's always
<v Speaker 14>not that difficult, and if you do this and this
<v Speaker 14>and this, I'm like, you're kind of ruining it for me,
<v Speaker 14>like you know too much information. That's the kind of
<v Speaker 14>analogy likes to make about, you know, fans like you
<v Speaker 14>and I. I've been watching wrestling since you know, I
<v Speaker 14>saw WrestleMania four. I'm closer as television back in nineteen
<v Speaker 14>eighty eight. So that's how far back I go. But
<v Speaker 14>we we know too much. It's that point, and you're
<v Speaker 14>a real good example of it because you have a
<v Speaker 14>really good way of breaking it down and figuring it
<v Speaker 14>out before things happen. Uh, you know, guys like you
<v Speaker 14>and I and the rest of your broadcast team, we're
<v Speaker 14>too spoiled to the fact that we kind of figure
<v Speaker 14>out things more quicker than maybe your average fan, where
<v Speaker 14>the surprise element is it's almost gone. Like you always
<v Speaker 14>use the the idea of like, you know, this person's
<v Speaker 14>not gonna win, but everything so often you know, wait
<v Speaker 14>a minute, they give you that that that you're on
<v Speaker 14>the edge of your seat like maybe they might do it,
<v Speaker 14>maybe they might do it, but you know and we
<v Speaker 14>you know, the idea is to lose the reality of
<v Speaker 14>the situation and to get caught up in it. And
<v Speaker 14>that's the idea of it. So you know, you're you
<v Speaker 14>and I are the guitar players of the band. That's
<v Speaker 14>it's that's the way I look at it.
<v Speaker 15>Uh.
<v Speaker 14>Secondly, your guys on the WTF broadcast team. I love
<v Speaker 14>their show, but it went down a list of the
<v Speaker 14>whole draft and I don't know what was going on there,
<v Speaker 14>but they literally mentioned every person who was and they
<v Speaker 14>got it all backwards. As an example, they used fire
<v Speaker 14>that the street profits are going from SmackDown to raw
<v Speaker 14>and h that edge is going from SmackDown to raw.
<v Speaker 2>What do you feel about that?
<v Speaker 1>And they had.
<v Speaker 14>Intelligent conversations about it, like yeah, that's fire, you know,
<v Speaker 14>or you know that's trash or you know, watchable Drew
<v Speaker 14>McIntyre going from raw or excuse me, from SmackDown to raw,
<v Speaker 14>and they got the entire list backwards and they had
<v Speaker 14>a very intelligent conversation of how they felt about it.
<v Speaker 15>So I was really thrown.
<v Speaker 11>Off about that.
<v Speaker 14>So you know, you know, I hate to be thinking
<v Speaker 14>one to throw you know, your boys under the bus,
<v Speaker 14>but I'm sure I can't be the one one who
<v Speaker 14>recognize that.
<v Speaker 5>So you know, just wonder Mike.
<v Speaker 4>I hope you're doing well, buddy. I first of all,
<v Speaker 4>I did not know that. I didn't get a chance
<v Speaker 4>to listen to the our latest episode. We have so
<v Speaker 4>much content. I just trust a lot of our co
<v Speaker 4>hosts to just you know, we publish our stuff and
<v Speaker 4>then you know, as much as I can, I listen
<v Speaker 4>to it. It's just so much content being pumped out.
<v Speaker 4>It's nearly impossible my own content on top of it.
<v Speaker 4>But uh yeah, hey, I'd cut them some slack.
<v Speaker 12>You know.
<v Speaker 4>It's the reason I say that is because a lot
<v Speaker 4>of the I'm imagining that they probably just googled full
<v Speaker 4>draft results and whatever they looked at was probably a
<v Speaker 4>list that wasn't put together too concisely right.
<v Speaker 5>I saw.
<v Speaker 4>For in their defense, I did see a couple of
<v Speaker 4>lists that were very confusing, and it wasn't straightforward. It
<v Speaker 4>was like, here was where they originally were, here's where
<v Speaker 4>they're going, but here's where they could go.
<v Speaker 5>Like there were.
<v Speaker 4>Lists that made it difficult to you know, decipher where
<v Speaker 4>the hell people were going. So it's not surprising, actually,
<v Speaker 4>while you're looking at it, going that got totally backwards.
<v Speaker 4>There's a lot of websites out there that were very
<v Speaker 4>not clear foggy about you know, someone going from here
<v Speaker 4>to here. But then they here's their original brand and
<v Speaker 4>here's where the draft did it, but here's what they
<v Speaker 4>were the last time there was a draft, Like, there
<v Speaker 4>are a lot of that, and they probably just pulled
<v Speaker 4>it off. I'm imagining a site that was one of
<v Speaker 4>those more confusing ones. Now to your question or your
<v Speaker 4>insight analogy about us being guitar players, I'd rather be
<v Speaker 4>a drummer. I have to say, I've always, you know,
<v Speaker 4>imagined myself a drummer if I were ever in a band,
<v Speaker 4>But I have about as much musical talent as my
<v Speaker 4>two year old, So unfortunately, yeah, that's that's never a reality.
<v Speaker 4>For me, I'm cut out to just sit here and
<v Speaker 4>talk wrestling, I guess. But hey, here's the thing as
<v Speaker 4>far as us knowing too much, the average fing is
<v Speaker 4>so obviously, every every fan in the world that other
<v Speaker 4>watches part wrestling knows what it is, right, everybody knows
<v Speaker 4>what it is. You and I, though, have seen so
<v Speaker 4>much of it, and other fans too. Obviously, there's fans
<v Speaker 4>that I've been watching it much longer than you and
<v Speaker 4>myself combined. But when you get to a certain point,
<v Speaker 4>you can kind of see the way things are going,
<v Speaker 4>and it does become more difficult to be surprised. So sure,
<v Speaker 4>we understand the product, more can see things coming, more
<v Speaker 4>we dig into the strategy. People that want to dig
<v Speaker 4>into the strategy the one's listening to the podcast. You're
<v Speaker 4>not going to have most casual fans that watch a
<v Speaker 4>raw here and there or dig into wrestling podcasts. Obviously,
<v Speaker 4>I don't think that's our audience.
<v Speaker 5>But I think it.
<v Speaker 4>Evolves from the expectation of being surprised all the time
<v Speaker 4>and more into you're watching through the lens of appreciation
<v Speaker 4>or more of the wrestling, the physical aspect of it.
<v Speaker 4>Because even though we can dig down and see what's
<v Speaker 4>going on behind the scenes or in our minds come
<v Speaker 4>up with this just deep analysis of what's happening, which
<v Speaker 4>is obviously what this podcast or I do. Anyway, I
<v Speaker 4>think that's alto that more of a looking through what
<v Speaker 4>they're trying to do, trying to figure it out. It
<v Speaker 4>never gets boring though, even though we have fully pulled
<v Speaker 4>the curtain back. It's a testament to this sport, this
<v Speaker 4>art form that even though we all know what it is,
<v Speaker 4>and those especially that have a podcast or are longtime fans,
<v Speaker 4>that even though we know exactly what it is, and
<v Speaker 4>a lot of times we can see things coming and
<v Speaker 4>a lot of times I complain, no doubt, and a
<v Speaker 4>lot of fans complain, you know what we.
<v Speaker 5>Do though we keep watching? We keep watching?
<v Speaker 4>Why if something is that pulled back, that exposed, we
<v Speaker 4>know too much.
<v Speaker 5>Then why the hell do we keep watching?
<v Speaker 7>Right?
<v Speaker 4>It's because this art form is so damn entertaining, and
<v Speaker 4>when it's good, it can be really good even to
<v Speaker 4>the most hardcore fan. You can have those moments that
<v Speaker 4>still give you goosebumps, right, those moments of reality when
<v Speaker 4>reality and this fantasy world cross and you see, you know,
<v Speaker 4>you can see the real emotion from the stars, what
<v Speaker 4>it means in the moment. You can dig in and
<v Speaker 4>analyze whether those emotions are.
<v Speaker 5>Real or not.
<v Speaker 4>You know, oh wait, these two wrestlers have beef with
<v Speaker 4>one another, how's it going to play out in the match? Like,
<v Speaker 4>we get into it and look at it through a
<v Speaker 4>different lens as we get older, are our interest in
<v Speaker 4>it sometimes grows even though we've pulled the curtain completely back.
<v Speaker 4>It's like, for example, it's a it's like having a
<v Speaker 4>mover reviewr movie critic. They've seen hundreds, if not thousands
<v Speaker 4>of movies, right, they all and everybody knows when they're
<v Speaker 4>watching a movie. It's not real most movies. Right, every
<v Speaker 4>every time you watch a movie, especially movie critics, that
<v Speaker 4>that's their life, that's their job for decades. Yet they
<v Speaker 4>still review movies and do a damn good job of it.
<v Speaker 4>And there's some of the most renowned movie critics. I mean,
<v Speaker 4>we all know who they are and who they were, right,
<v Speaker 4>Cisco and Ebert come to mind. Right, But that's kind
<v Speaker 4>of the same thing. They get more skill at really
<v Speaker 4>being able to dissect the movie, and people value their
<v Speaker 4>opinions more than just a casual fan often because they
<v Speaker 4>in their minds they know what makes a good movie.
<v Speaker 4>So anyway, I hear you in good point though, So
<v Speaker 4>all right, let's get to our next one.
<v Speaker 15>He met and Dad pakist it's New Yorkyle again and
<v Speaker 15>I'll work again. That wasn't your backpash review. You're wondering
<v Speaker 15>how long is this, Charlie just been here, I have
<v Speaker 15>an interview. I did my research. I was curious too.
<v Speaker 15>I forgot Also, back at the Roy Rumbles twenty twenty one,
<v Speaker 15>he came back in it for a little bit for
<v Speaker 15>a big cop and then the raw after many in
<v Speaker 15>the mix of night he actually team of Jeff Hardy
<v Speaker 15>at Mass against Elias and Jackson Ryker. Yeah remember that's
<v Speaker 15>team remember that guy before we got released. Yeah, that
<v Speaker 15>was the thing. And uh he had that match because
<v Speaker 15>basically w was playing on giving him like a three
<v Speaker 15>week trial run to see how he would do. But
<v Speaker 15>the second answer week wasn't there. They kind of just
<v Speaker 15>were like, now we don't meet you. I guess I
<v Speaker 15>don't know, and they never give it full contract. That's
<v Speaker 15>what happened. Also for one of the reason why you
<v Speaker 15>can teams of Jeff party. Yes, Hardy's contract guy extended
<v Speaker 15>bat of an injury. So basically, I'm not Hardy of
<v Speaker 15>left go to AWE just couldn't go with him yet.
<v Speaker 15>That's why you're still there a little longer. Yeah, that's
<v Speaker 15>your answer. I know I was doing now a lotly
<v Speaker 15>every wee get in just giving you a little answer
<v Speaker 15>your questions. I don't know. It's just fun, fun researching
<v Speaker 15>this stuff.
<v Speaker 7>I just enjoy it.
<v Speaker 15>But yeah, that's also this week back.
<v Speaker 14>This is awesome.
<v Speaker 15>I love the streets fight.
<v Speaker 16>That's it.
<v Speaker 5>Yeah, peace, Thank Kyle.
<v Speaker 4>You know I gotta start doing I'm not gonna ask
<v Speaker 4>any more questions. I'm just gonna act like I know
<v Speaker 4>the answers so it don't sound up on my own show.
<v Speaker 4>That's what it goes are doing. I'm just not going
<v Speaker 4>to ask any more rhetorical questions or anything else. That way,
<v Speaker 4>you can't go on research and go, hey, dude, you
<v Speaker 4>know it's this.
<v Speaker 5>It's that right.
<v Speaker 4>No more from now on, everything I say is just gospel. Okay,
<v Speaker 4>there's no more questions to be asked that way. I
<v Speaker 4>can't look stupid unless you research everything I say, which
<v Speaker 4>is more difficult to do. So, but hey, thanks call no,
<v Speaker 4>I appreciate that. And somebody else brought that to my
<v Speaker 4>attention to about Carlito, I honestly forgot completely. It didn't
<v Speaker 4>make a big impact with me. But now that you
<v Speaker 4>say it, and I heard it from some other people,
<v Speaker 4>I vaguely remember that, at least the rumble. I don't
<v Speaker 4>remember the next Nune and Rob, probably because Jackson Riker
<v Speaker 4>is a name that most of us probably will never
<v Speaker 4>utter again in our lives. But that, to me is
<v Speaker 4>it is important because I thought he wasn't in w
<v Speaker 4>since he left in like the mid two thousands or
<v Speaker 4>late two thousands. Really, I thought it was like ten
<v Speaker 4>years at least at least ten to fifteen years. And
<v Speaker 4>people have asked me to what do I think he's
<v Speaker 4>going to make a comeback? No I don't, no, no, no,
<v Speaker 4>I think it was a one off in Puerto Rico.
<v Speaker 4>But thank you Kyle for that, and no more questions,
<v Speaker 4>No more questions. All right, let's get to the next one.
<v Speaker 12>Alex the French guy here, you're current European champion. Uh
<v Speaker 12>what a what a backlass moment.
<v Speaker 7>That was a good pay per view, That was a
<v Speaker 7>good ple I was not super convinced about the.
<v Speaker 17>Finish Cody roadse pinning Brocklestner this way, but I understand
<v Speaker 17>that you want to protect broadcast now as much as possible,
<v Speaker 17>But you also want to establish Cody Roads as a
<v Speaker 17>top native ventor.
<v Speaker 12>So having him big Brocklestener is a good thing.
<v Speaker 7>He looked like a legit.
<v Speaker 12>Badass at the beginning of the fight when he jumped
<v Speaker 12>on brock Listener.
<v Speaker 7>So ruthless this this.
<v Speaker 12>This was really nice, but at the end of the
<v Speaker 12>much I didn't find.
<v Speaker 7>It super interesting.
<v Speaker 12>The pinning was I don't know you do that with
<v Speaker 12>mid Carter or something.
<v Speaker 7>I don't like this.
<v Speaker 18>However, I know that one of the I know you
<v Speaker 18>met are really you are really really happy about this
<v Speaker 18>segment on Raw this Monday.
<v Speaker 16>I thought directly about you when brock Lessner took Corey Roads,
<v Speaker 16>it was he passed out, really but he passed out,
<v Speaker 16>and brock Lesn took Curtil Roads and said, what.
<v Speaker 7>Do you want to talk about? What do you want
<v Speaker 7>to talk about?
<v Speaker 12>Directly thought about you, Matt saying that.
<v Speaker 7>It's not logical. What do you do why? Courdy Roads
<v Speaker 7>said to the public, what do you want to talk about?
<v Speaker 12>So I'm sure Brocksner addressed this, this thing about the
<v Speaker 12>Cody Roads.
<v Speaker 7>So yeah, I thought you met. I think you're really
<v Speaker 7>happy about this life.
<v Speaker 12>This this kind of a block lastner.
<v Speaker 7>That's all for me, but this week, see you next week.
<v Speaker 4>Gay, Hey, Alex, I'm glad you brought that up. I
<v Speaker 4>didn't bring that up in my raw review with with
<v Speaker 4>brock lesnar screaming in Cody's face, what do you want
<v Speaker 4>to talk about?
<v Speaker 5>Like mocking him?
<v Speaker 4>And it should be mocked, it should be. That's the
<v Speaker 4>one maybe fault in Cody's promo ability, okay, is his
<v Speaker 4>just incessant need to try to get this over. It's
<v Speaker 4>not going to get over. It can't get over. It
<v Speaker 4>can't get over because it's not a question that people
<v Speaker 4>can answer or cheer. There's nothing they can say. It's
<v Speaker 4>not sing a long time. And you hear it in
<v Speaker 4>his weekly plug for this thing. He'll mention the name
<v Speaker 4>of the city. He'll say Indianapolis, and they'll cheer that
<v Speaker 4>because woo, we're from Indianapolis. We love ourselves, right, everyone
<v Speaker 4>does that. But then when he says, what do you
<v Speaker 4>want to talk about? Like he's being cute with this
<v Speaker 4>punch line and it's super annoying to hear because you
<v Speaker 4>know it's he's trying to get it over, but everyone
<v Speaker 4>just kind of goes the silent. There's no collection of
<v Speaker 4>a response because people are going look around like, I
<v Speaker 4>don't know, man, you tell us like you're on the mic,
<v Speaker 4>and what am I supposed to say to this? Until
<v Speaker 4>somebody somehow comes up with a clever way to respond
<v Speaker 4>to this and then maybe it can get over. It's
<v Speaker 4>gonna continue to fall flat. I mean, mentioning the city
<v Speaker 4>is always a cheap pop. You take the mention of
<v Speaker 4>the city out. The line on it by itself is
<v Speaker 4>not getting over because it's not a sing along type
<v Speaker 4>of a response. There's no coherent response. It's an open
<v Speaker 4>ended question. I've said this, but Cody continues to push
<v Speaker 4>it even though it gets no response.
<v Speaker 5>The fans go, I don't know, yay, yay. What are
<v Speaker 5>they supposed to say? Just what are they supposed to.
<v Speaker 4>Just generically hear it but not actually answer it. They're
<v Speaker 4>just supposed to kind of do a general cheer.
<v Speaker 5>Why.
<v Speaker 4>It's why if you're trying to interact with the crowd
<v Speaker 4>and the crowd is kind of handcuffed knowing that their
<v Speaker 4>voice is going to get drowned out if somebody screams.
<v Speaker 5>H brock Lesner or I want you to talk about
<v Speaker 5>brock Lesner.
<v Speaker 4>Well, it's just it's frustrating as a fan because I
<v Speaker 4>know the live crowd is sitting there going, well, I'm
<v Speaker 4>not going to say anything specific. It is it meant
<v Speaker 4>to be rhetorical. If it's meant to be rhetorical, am
<v Speaker 4>I supposed to cheer it? I don't cheer rhetorical questions.
<v Speaker 4>If I'm not what's the what's the proper response? If
<v Speaker 4>I was to ask Cody if I had him on
<v Speaker 4>the show, I'd be like, hey, bro, like.
<v Speaker 5>You say this. I know what you're trying to do.
<v Speaker 5>I get it.
<v Speaker 4>You're having your own little little tagline. You're understand the
<v Speaker 4>business behind it. But I would say to him, like,
<v Speaker 4>what is the proper response to this? If I'm a
<v Speaker 4>fan in the crowd, what am I suppose to say
<v Speaker 4>to this? It doesn't lend itself to any kind of
<v Speaker 4>interaction with the crowd. It's just I'm thinking, like every week,
<v Speaker 4>I'm like, all right, he finally got the hint. Last
<v Speaker 4>week and the week before and the week before that,
<v Speaker 4>you know, he's finally gonna drop it. And the first
<v Speaker 4>thing that mother ever says on the mic, so Cleveland,
<v Speaker 4>what do you want to talk about? And he also
<v Speaker 4>the way he says it is also super annoying to me.
<v Speaker 4>Like when he gets into the rest of his other
<v Speaker 4>ninety nine percent of his promo, I'm down. He's good usually,
<v Speaker 4>I mean, he's very good on the mic, but this
<v Speaker 4>little cute beginning to every promo doesn't need to happen,
<v Speaker 4>and he's trying to make it cute, and he's like, Oh,
<v Speaker 4>pay attention to this and the inflection in my voice
<v Speaker 4>or what do you want to talk about?
<v Speaker 5>Isn't that a clever way to open a promo? No,
<v Speaker 5>it's not. It's stupid.
<v Speaker 4>Why because you're in front of fifteen thousand people that
<v Speaker 4>don't know how to collectively respond to you. You can't,
<v Speaker 4>Oh all right, it's it's it's kind of akin to
<v Speaker 4>when everyone, no matter who it is, triple h himself.
<v Speaker 4>Even the second he comes out. He was out for
<v Speaker 4>like three weeks in a row, four weeks in a
<v Speaker 4>row because of the draft and the World Everyway Championship
<v Speaker 4>being introduced. He's like, welcome to Monday Night Raw, Like yeah, no, no,
<v Speaker 4>crap right, Like, duh. The announcers are not welcome us
<v Speaker 4>to Raw. Why is everyone who comes out first that
<v Speaker 4>cuts a promo has to welcome us to Raw? It
<v Speaker 4>doesn't make sense. No kidding, I know what program I'm watching.
<v Speaker 7>I don't know.
<v Speaker 4>Little things like this annoy me. But okay, now you
<v Speaker 4>get me fired up and we are at Is this
<v Speaker 4>the final voicemail?
<v Speaker 7>Yeah?
<v Speaker 5>Here comes the final one. Let's do it.
<v Speaker 2>Hey, Matt, this is Randy from a lady. Just have
<v Speaker 2>a couple of thoughts that I wanted to throw out
<v Speaker 2>there tonight, real quick. First thought that I wanted to
<v Speaker 2>throw out there is I am so happy. I am
<v Speaker 2>so so so happy.
<v Speaker 3>Watching Backlash and watching the crowd turn on Theianca bell Air.
<v Speaker 3>If you remember from my very first phone call or voicemail,
<v Speaker 3>the very first thing I said on the show was
<v Speaker 3>that I can't stand her character and it just feel
<v Speaker 3>so good. It was so good to watch the crowd
<v Speaker 3>turn on her.
<v Speaker 7>And if you remember a few.
<v Speaker 3>Weeks ago, I called a little bit after WrestleMania and
<v Speaker 3>talked about how that crowd, even the crowd at WrestleMania,
<v Speaker 3>was ready to turn on her. We were ready to
<v Speaker 3>cheer Osca, and yet you know, the Aanca came out
<v Speaker 3>with the victory, but just felt really good and just
<v Speaker 3>thankful to see that the crowds are starting to voice
<v Speaker 3>what most of us feel.
<v Speaker 7>About Theianca Bellair and her character.
<v Speaker 3>And then the other thing that.
<v Speaker 13>I wanted to just go out there is there's something
<v Speaker 13>that's really bugging me, really really bugging me. And it
<v Speaker 13>bothered me a few weeks ago when they had the
<v Speaker 13>number one contenders match for the Raw women Championships and
<v Speaker 13>they threw out I think it Na Yam and hyper
<v Speaker 13>Nivin going after the number one contendership and I think
<v Speaker 13>Eyoski won, and it.
<v Speaker 7>Just felt totally like out of place, like what did.
<v Speaker 2>Those women do to deserve to be in that tournament?
<v Speaker 2>And then this week you have the Miz in the
<v Speaker 2>tournament to be the heavyweight champion of the world. If
<v Speaker 2>you want this title to feel credible, if you want
<v Speaker 2>this title to be taken seriously, if you want this
<v Speaker 2>new champion, if you take me seriously, how are you
<v Speaker 2>gonna put Miz in the tournament? MZ who just lost
<v Speaker 2>this snoop dog in George Kimpel at WrestleMania. Miz that
<v Speaker 2>took one punch in snow Dog laid on the ground
<v Speaker 2>an impromptu rock bottom, or the people's elbow from Snoop DOGG.
<v Speaker 2>Come on, man, how are we supposed to take this
<v Speaker 2>championship seriously when you have people like the Miz in
<v Speaker 2>the tournament? All right, sorry, just had to.
<v Speaker 7>Get that off my chest. Thanks, plans have a prize?
<v Speaker 5>Well yeah, I mean you're right, Randy. First of all,
<v Speaker 5>I hope you're doing well.
<v Speaker 4>And it doesn't make sense, never makes sense how they
<v Speaker 4>sometimes just randomly select the people to be in a tournament.
<v Speaker 4>You know, some people don't even question when they see
<v Speaker 4>a tournament bracket. They're like, oh, well, there's so many
<v Speaker 4>people in here, you know. Cool that it gives a
<v Speaker 4>lot of people an opportunity. But for listeners like you
<v Speaker 4>and I and viewers like you and I that actually
<v Speaker 4>care about some of the logic, we would say to ourselves, well,
<v Speaker 4>how did they get in the tournament to begin with?
<v Speaker 4>You know, how did these six men from raw and
<v Speaker 4>six men from SmackDown get into it to begin with?
<v Speaker 4>And like you said, what exactly are the qualifications? They
<v Speaker 4>can't be that high if the miss is in there,
<v Speaker 4>that's for sure, based on what you've done lately, certainly not.
<v Speaker 4>It doesn't make any sense. They The reason is, if
<v Speaker 4>you were to give them truth serum is well, again,
<v Speaker 4>the reason SmackDown's involved is, well, we didn't feel like
<v Speaker 4>we had enough big stars from raw to make this
<v Speaker 4>tournament feel important, which is I don't want to go
<v Speaker 4>into it again, but I gave him my reasoning earlier
<v Speaker 4>in the show. But the other reason, if they were
<v Speaker 4>going to ask them was specifically about the miss They
<v Speaker 4>would say, well, we need someone to take the pinfall, right,
<v Speaker 4>We need that that, We need that one person to
<v Speaker 4>be the scapegoat that can't be hurt by losing this match, right,
<v Speaker 4>That's the reason. That's the reason he's in there. It
<v Speaker 4>has nothing to do with the fact that he's a
<v Speaker 4>credible threat. Of course, no one in the right mind
<v Speaker 4>believes that the Miz.
<v Speaker 5>Could win this.
<v Speaker 4>No, he has no business winning a World Heavyweight Championship
<v Speaker 4>triple threat match. Maybe do advance, but not get to
<v Speaker 4>the finals, you know. But I'm with you, Yeah, I
<v Speaker 4>mean the whole Snoop Dogg thing which to uh to
<v Speaker 4>Missus credit and defense that wasn't supposed to happen either.
<v Speaker 4>Snoop Dogg improvised because Shane McMahon injured a tore his
<v Speaker 4>squad on a leap frog. So you know, miss miss
<v Speaker 4>And and Snoop Dogg did what they could with what
<v Speaker 4>was available to them with a downed Shane McMahon. So,
<v Speaker 4>you know, as silly as that was, and I hated
<v Speaker 4>it at the time, if it's a legit injury and
<v Speaker 4>they improvise, then good on them. You know it was silly,
<v Speaker 4>but it wasn't planned.
<v Speaker 5>So there is that.
<v Speaker 4>However, them Is does consistently get his ass kicked by
<v Speaker 4>celebrities that come in and is always the butt of
<v Speaker 4>every joke, and you know I would agree with that, yes,
<v Speaker 4>but he was in there simply to take a fall
<v Speaker 4>to lose.
<v Speaker 5>He was there to lose.
<v Speaker 4>They put somebody in there that wouldn't be hurt by
<v Speaker 4>the loss.
<v Speaker 5>That's it.
<v Speaker 4>So all right, Well, thank you, Randy, thank you everybody
<v Speaker 4>for listening, and I really do appreciate all of your support.
<v Speaker 4>Oh by the way, yeah, Randy, one more thing. It
<v Speaker 4>was good to hear the crowd turn on Bianca. The
<v Speaker 4>question is is it's sustainable? Does this continue moving forward?
<v Speaker 4>That's going to be key because if it's a in
<v Speaker 4>WWE maybe looking at as it's a one off, right,
<v Speaker 4>it's Puerto Rico. Let's see what the other crowds do,
<v Speaker 4>and they probably are looking at it like that. If
<v Speaker 4>you want to turn Bianca heel, guys, there needs to
<v Speaker 4>be insistent indifference and or booing Bianca all right, boo
<v Speaker 4>her and the I think WWE will go along with
<v Speaker 4>the charade, and if it's consistent enough and loud enough,
<v Speaker 4>they'll turn her.
<v Speaker 5>Then they have to.
<v Speaker 4>Even if they didn't, I'd be looking at everyone like, hey, like,
<v Speaker 4>she's been nice cold for a while.
<v Speaker 5>What are we doing here?
<v Speaker 4>How can we reinvigorate your career, keep her as champion
<v Speaker 4>and turn her heel? Hell yeah, let's do it. Sign
<v Speaker 4>me up so we'll see if they do it. You know,
<v Speaker 4>time will tell. Right now, there's no indication of it,
<v Speaker 4>and that's unfortunate. But let's get tonight of champions and
<v Speaker 4>see what happens. So all right, Randy, everybody else, thank
