Speaker 1: Welcome to Reality with the King.

00:00:03
Speaker 2: It's me Carlos Kings, the King of Reality TV and one of the most sought after executive producers in reality television with over ten years a production experience.

00:00:15
Speaker 1: Twice a week on Reality with the King, we'll.

00:00:17
Speaker 2: Sit down with my friends across the entertainment industry, recap our favorite reality shows, and revisit unforgettable moments that we are still talking and tweeting about. Hey, rain drives on today's epits of Reality with the King. I'm here with two of my girls. I love all the girls, but I love these two, as you all know.

00:00:39
Speaker 1: Give it up because they have a podcast.

00:00:42
Speaker 2: Call the Real Close Friends, because in real life they are close friends. One of them has been my girl for almost twenty years. I love her. She's such a Barbie doll. She's my fashion consultant. Give it up for the one and only Honey Marlow Patrice camp Day.

00:01:03
Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, the rain drives.

00:01:07
Speaker 2: And then we also have to give it up on one of my new girls who I got a chance to meet. She was on my podcast. She's such a fun one. She is also like a legend, a freaking Olympian. For Pete's sake, and she is a new mommy. She has something grown in her belly that she announced recently.

00:01:25
Speaker 1: Give it up for Sonya Richard's row.

00:01:33
Speaker 3: We're good. How are you well?

00:01:35
Speaker 1: You know I'm living my life Marlow. You know I have to.

00:01:39
Speaker 4: Because from that background. You're not in Atlanta, Darling.

00:01:43
Speaker 3: What's tea?

00:01:44
Speaker 4: Carlos? What's tea?

00:01:46
Speaker 5: He's getting to the money money, Carlos. Have you moved and left us from Atlanta?

00:01:56
Speaker 3: I think he has a place.

00:01:58
Speaker 4: Yeah, so you better be back and forth. Everybody post to Darling, like you want to come to my place in Atlanta?

00:02:05
Speaker 3: Are you gonna meet me?

00:02:08
Speaker 6: Yeah?

00:02:08
Speaker 1: It's not the right, but not the thing. Liften. I am definitely on my bachelor hook boss hood, so we love it. I do own two homes in Atlanta.

00:02:21
Speaker 3: But I've taught you.

00:02:23
Speaker 4: Well, Darling, well, won't put it in his name, put it in your name. Girls. The girls copied everything from me except to put every the houses in their names.

00:02:34
Speaker 3: Like God, damn it, you gotta.

00:02:38
Speaker 1: Start your ship.

00:02:38
Speaker 3: You gotta start your ship. Let's for real. Like I was so disappointed.

00:02:43
Speaker 4: I'm just seeing when I'm just scrolling through, I see girls don't have cars and houses in their names. I'm like, I've taught you, well, you copy the fashion, you copy the labels, you didn't copy the house in the car has to be in your name. Come on, guys that.

00:02:58
Speaker 1: Well, look my homes, my cars and everything I own. So thank you for teaching.

00:03:11
Speaker 3: That's a big difference to I think you pay for them.

00:03:13
Speaker 2: Yes, and listen, listen. I happened to be my own benefactor. But listen if I read some man, well.

00:03:24
Speaker 3: Yes, gift.

00:03:26
Speaker 2: No, but listen before we get into the real Housewats of Potomac, Part two Reunion of the season. I want some advice because you two had a recent episode on your podcast that I think the audio drops on Mondays and the video on Wednesdays.

00:03:40
Speaker 6: Is that.

00:03:43
Speaker 5: Yeah, but audio audio drops off on Monday's. Visuals and YouTube drop on Tuesday, not Wednesday.

00:03:48
Speaker 2: Tuesday, Tuesday, Tuesdays. Okay, perfect, Because the thing is this. You guys had a recent episode, you know, celebrating like Valentine's Day and love and what I loved about that episode was the fact that Sonya as a married woman to a very attractive, successful man in his own right. You guys talked about relationships and then Marlow being a single woman.

00:04:07
Speaker 1: Honey.

00:04:07
Speaker 2: What I loved about it was the fact that you got two different perspectives when it comes to dating and relationships. So I want to kick this off by talking about me and any advice y'all can give. So what the girls don't know is marlow already gave me some advice.

00:04:24
Speaker 1: But I want the world to see it. I want the world to see it.

00:04:26
Speaker 2: And Sonya haven't asked you yet. So I recently got out of a long relationship. Marlowe had met the person. Okay, everything is fine, nothing.

00:04:39
Speaker 1: It's all good.

00:04:39
Speaker 3: Okay.

00:04:40
Speaker 2: But I'm in my forties and I'm single, and I have a great life.

00:04:45
Speaker 1: I have a great career. I have a lot to offer.

00:04:49
Speaker 2: But what I do find as a gay black man, it is sort of hard to date nowadays because I've been locked up for almost twenty years.

00:05:00
Speaker 1: That for me, I'm trying to figure out what type of man I date. So this is my dilemma. I find the guys I talk to my age.

00:05:07
Speaker 2: Some of them are set in their ways, the very brand they're They're like, this is look, you know whatever.

00:05:15
Speaker 1: Some are intimidated.

00:05:18
Speaker 2: They all tell me on our first date that they googled me so I felt they come in and preconceived notions about me. And then you know, I'm considered a daddy because I'm in my forties.

00:05:32
Speaker 1: I got the song of Pepper Beard.

00:05:34
Speaker 2: So so you know, the thirty year olds be on your boy.

00:05:39
Speaker 4: So I'm like, keep it playing twenties and thirties.

00:05:46
Speaker 2: I'm sure, sure you gotta have a three for your age.

00:05:52
Speaker 4: I agree, I should at least have a three.

00:05:57
Speaker 1: Okay, I picture for three. So but what that big said Marlow? I want to talk with Sonya first, cause she's married. What do I do? Son You like? Do I do? I try to figure things out with like the guys my age?

00:06:10
Speaker 2: Do I like talk to the thirty year olds because I will say this, and I'm gonna let you cook. I'm gonna say this, Okay, the thirty something year olds.

00:06:20
Speaker 4: Got you gone.

00:06:21
Speaker 2: They are great communicators and they're very They're very direct.

00:06:28
Speaker 1: They let me tell you something. I believe that that Marlow. Marlow, they let you know what time it is. Ye'll let you know like what they learn that Carlo.

00:06:39
Speaker 5: So you got to think about it right, Like growing up, I feel like we didn't have that, Like we were always like had to be a certain way and all this kind of stuff. The younger generation has learned like I'm gonna show up authentically as myself and you're gonna take it or leave it. So I believe the younger generation is going to be more direct, and I think that that works better in relationships because I want to know, you want to know, like what are your expectations? Like what where are you at in your life? What do you want from me? But my advice to you, Carlos, will be not to don't look for it. Don't have an expectation of what he's going to be, you know what I mean, Because I feel like a lot of times we miss our blessings because we have this idea of what it's going to be.

00:07:15
Speaker 3: And so I would say, just keep being you, keep doing your thing.

00:07:18
Speaker 5: You have this intention that you want to attract somebody to you, and it's going to happen. It might not happen in your time, but I just feel like you just have to be open to it. And the person might literally come from like the weirdest place, look far different than you expected, and you're like, oh my god, like this is the one. But I just think you have to just kind of let it flow, let it be natural. And I think for you you also need to be direct like this. Here's this is what I want. I want to be married. I want, you know, like, so people can know, like I'll think you like, you're not saying I want to get married today, but this is the goals that I have for myself. Is that align with what you want and then we can start you know something here. So that's my advice to you, mister Carlos King.

00:07:55
Speaker 1: Thank you by I love that a vibe you model have.

00:07:59
Speaker 4: I do Sonya and her advice. I just have a couple of little tweaks to it.

00:08:04
Speaker 3: I agree we.

00:08:05
Speaker 5: Wouldn't be in real close friends and she didn't have a couple of tweaks and a different perspective and a different angle.

00:08:09
Speaker 3: Go lo cook, Oh my god.

00:08:11
Speaker 4: We have to tell them about what we're doing the party, but we're talking about that later. But I totally agree with what Sonya is saying. The only thing I say is make sure, like she said, what was so important. They may come from a different walk of life, they may look different, but they got to have good credit and they need.

00:08:27
Speaker 3: Some I'm going I'm going off.

00:08:30
Speaker 4: I think you just forgot that party because you're successful, and it's going to be hard youaling with someone who's not as successful as you.

00:08:42
Speaker 3: They're not going to be used to write first class. They're not going to be used to.

00:08:45
Speaker 4: Eating out at the clubs that you are, private, clubs that you are members too. It's like, I'm sorry, you're just we're equally yoke, that's all I was saying. And we just got to be equally yoked. Absolutely we have to be. And I feel sometime it's like, oh we're just horny or we're feeling lonely because we're old, and like, oh he's cute, fuck cute, get ugly and make him cute.

00:09:07
Speaker 3: It's plastic surgeons. Doctor. I can tell him what pieces to buy so you can get ugly.

00:09:15
Speaker 4: But just get somebody with some good credit and some money and just really love worship you. But y'all be trying to do too much all this. He got to be fine, he got to be cute. Give him a train and get him a little infiic something, get him some zen nutrients, something, okay.

00:09:29
Speaker 2: But Marlow blow I saw yo. I love ki a lot of barlows at too. But I will say that I will say this, We're gonna move on to Potomac. I won't say this because I have money, right do I do? I?

00:09:44
Speaker 1: Do? I?

00:09:46
Speaker 2: Do I want somebody with money too? Or do I want to think or don't want somebody that is like on.

00:09:54
Speaker 1: The come up? And to your point, though, Marlowe, I can introduce him that.

00:10:00
Speaker 2: Yes, I can introduce them to like my private clubs I go to. I can introduce him to my private shopping experience. This, I can introduce him to the private spapers class experience like if is that if you ain't.

00:10:12
Speaker 4: Known of the longest signing and non Ross, No, it's not gonna do something. He's gonna go to somebody younger than your ass. No, Carlos, I'm okay with that.

00:10:22
Speaker 5: I'm okay with you meeting somebody who's not exactly where you are. Because equally yo does not always mean money to money. It means that he brings to the table everything that he has. So maybe he has experiences that you've never had before that elevates you. Maybe he's willing to like do stuff for you that makes your life so much easier, you know what I mean? So there are equally yo know always been, they got to have bread and good credit like you.

00:10:43
Speaker 4: They can just want to go bow your money and shop at their mass and you come home and spend one hundred thousand a day, and he's sitting home and he's on the beach behind you and joining his life while you've worked all day and he's just living in life and he's hiring nanny or a cleaning person.

00:10:59
Speaker 3: I'm sorry, it's not working for me.

00:11:03
Speaker 4: It only works as if they've been together as long as Sonya and Ross tying justin Catherine and her guy like, it has to be where you've been in relationships, where you guys. Sonya and Ross have been there when they both were balling baby that he has a fucking ring, what is it?

00:11:20
Speaker 3: Gold Champion, super ring, super Bowl rings?

00:11:23
Speaker 4: So she already know what it is. He already know what it is. They both have been there. But how do you I need to know that you're gonna invest in me too? Sonya know right now if Ross break his leg when he has it, he's gonna give it. He knows that she breaks her leg and she has it, she's gonna give it. You don't know that they could just be fans over her housewives of Atlanta of your show, and.

00:11:43
Speaker 3: Just like, oh, he's loaded, he's rich.

00:11:45
Speaker 4: Look, he's at this club, he has her mass, he's trapping them. He's in every country because I've been looking like with god that hum in the States, not tracking you, tracking them girl, twenty years.

00:11:59
Speaker 3: I've been trapping up.

00:12:01
Speaker 1: Well my location on.

00:12:06
Speaker 4: The phone.

00:12:06
Speaker 2: Baby, Well, thank you ladies for that. I will keep you updated on Please do, please do. I promise you, I will give you one stay on.

00:12:16
Speaker 3: This and we'll get over to it. You guys are going to think I'm crazy.

00:12:19
Speaker 4: So I know you're gonna fall in love with someone younger and fine in the six pack, because I know you you're not gonna go ugly and take them to doctor heavily and go get them life, bow and nose Inmpics.

00:12:29
Speaker 3: So if you do fall in love with them, let them come over.

00:12:32
Speaker 4: To the house. Take one of your cell phones and tell them you have to go to the store for something, and just record and see who they call.

00:12:41
Speaker 1: Oh sign.

00:12:45
Speaker 4: Does not agree always, that's crazy. Everyone who's saying, Oh, they're gonna come at me. Oh, if you trust the person, record your man tomorrow, record your gotamar.

00:12:57
Speaker 3: Record him.

00:12:58
Speaker 4: Pretend you have to go to this or twenty minutes record them and I bet you you are have five hours.

00:13:08
Speaker 2: I love it and rain drops. That's the reason why you have to subscribe. Yeah, download, Okay, make sure you guys subscribe the Real Close Friends podcast starring Marlo and Sonya. You can get it wherever you get your podcasts, also on YouTube, but subscribe to it.

00:13:25
Speaker 1: Y'all know.

00:13:25
Speaker 2: When it comes to me, I'm all about promoting my friends, but also promoting good podcasts, and I watch it every week. I have to tell y'all what I was shocked. And I told Marlo this already what I was shocked the box. I didn't see it on the show. I had no idea the chemistry that Marlo and Sonya have. So when you guys download and subscribe to the podcast and promise me you'll do it, you are going to listen and watch Real Friends.

00:13:53
Speaker 1: And we didn't get a chance to see that on the show.

00:13:55
Speaker 2: However, you guys get to see it on this podcast, So that's that's more important. Anyway, for you guys to subscribe to the podcast and like it and tell a friend, Okay, it's a really good podcast.

00:14:07
Speaker 1: It really is. I'm not just saying that because I'm for you.

00:14:11
Speaker 4: Yes, and it's so real when I tell you I love her to death, she loves me. I know that, but we just it's two different situations, but we respect each other and we just take it from there and we run with it. We don't leave mad with it. We're fun on set, We're happy on set, and it's real.

00:14:28
Speaker 1: Yes, yes, yes, no, it really is.

00:14:30
Speaker 2: Now a lot of people are questioning was real when it comes to the dating lives of some of these Potomac housewives, So let's get right into it. So when it comes to part two reunion, they did talk about Gazelle and Ashley's dating life and what was sort of corresponding between that. We saw a special like never before seen footage of Gazel on a date and then Ashley.

00:14:57
Speaker 1: Was dating this younger guy.

00:14:59
Speaker 2: I want I have a real conversation with you two ladies, because y'all been on reality television and y'all.

00:15:03
Speaker 1: Know how this works.

00:15:05
Speaker 2: Is it hard for a woman on reality television?

00:15:10
Speaker 1: More more so Housewived?

00:15:11
Speaker 2: The Housewife is an international show, right, Is it hard for a woman to meet a man who really likes you but he's also okay with filming because I'm not gonna say who, and Marilo don't ask me. I was talking to one of my girls who's in reality television, and I said to her, date the guy for a year. If he's too thirsty within the first year to do reality television, more than likely he's using you. And I feel like that's what Gazilla, and and and Ashley may be going through. What do y'all think about that?

00:15:46
Speaker 3: Totally agree with you. Who is the girl that you acced to?

00:15:49
Speaker 1: I'm not gonna tell you this. I almost.

00:16:00
Speaker 3: Katie. I promised you that it was.

00:16:01
Speaker 6: Only one of them.

00:16:02
Speaker 4: I promise you it was one of them. And my line it was one of them. You didn't tell me who, but it was one of them, right, it was You're days. I totally agree with you. I feel that we have sire. You wouldn't know because you're I mean, you wouldn't know what your opinion is, but you're married. So what I do feel is when I meet guys, honestly, guys, I don't want them to know that I was on the show. I don't even want them to know my name. I tell them my middle name because I'm like, I don't want them to go Google and see something that's parts of it is edited so they can prejudge me. Get to know Marlowe. You didn't get to see Marlowe. It's a one hour show with eight women in it, so there's no one in hill. You got to see the real Marlowe. Right, So I do feel that, seriously, I feel that. Uh, I feel what you said was everything Davin for one year. He shouldn't even want to come on the show. He shouldn't even care about the show. He cares about you. And then if you really can truly cares about you, it's like, Hey, she's passionate about this. This is how she makes her money. This is her job, her livelihood. Come on, but you know the guys I won't say any names who are thirsty for it. You know the fakes. When it's fake, you know it's fake. Like I never Carlos. All the years you have known me, these girls have had the stereotype of being a horror called girl. They know a white man. I didn't one old white man. It was in a relationship with him. I would never bring on any one faith.

00:17:32
Speaker 3: You know that. I know.

00:17:35
Speaker 4: Oh, you have to be dating someone.

00:17:37
Speaker 6: You have rights That's what I was gonna say.

00:17:40
Speaker 3: Low.

00:17:40
Speaker 5: My perspective is I feel like a lot of the women feel pressured, whether by the producers or the fans, or by the title of the show. It's called the Real Housewives, you know what I mean. And most of them are not in relationships. I think they feel pressure to bring on somebody or some kind of love interest, even if it's not all the way real.

00:17:58
Speaker 3: And for me, what kind of gave it away.

00:17:59
Speaker 5: With Ashley when I was watching the reunion because I ain't watched every episode of the show, so I didn't actually see it in real time, but I did watch the two reunions. When she said, oh, we kind of backed off now, to me, that was like, Okay, we gave a lot for the show, but it's not giving that fate, you know, you know that comes with the territory. Like these girls just feel like I gotta have a guy, like you know, people want to.

00:18:19
Speaker 3: See me in a relationship, or.

00:18:23
Speaker 6: I ain't really all that yet, you know what I mean.

00:18:25
Speaker 4: You knew right after reunion it was like, Oh, I'm pregnant, Oh I'm dating, we are still dating? And oh, like girl, y'all are not still dating? The show is coming back up. You're hoping you get called back around. Okay, no one can really tell them because the world tries to make you have the life they want you to have, and you can be a ho. I'm a badass housewife. I can go ahead and show y'all. I got steak, peppers and onions cut up. I got shrimp, seasoned sweet potatoes and baked potatoes in the ovens. I'm housewife, I really am. But I'm the man of the woman from Michael when with him and we have to I hate that. That's one thing I hate Carl Little about reality TV. Take what a real housewife is. This is twenty twenty five. This is what real housewives look like. They're taking care of the house. They're making shit happen with the man or without a man. They are still a real housewife.

00:19:19
Speaker 1: Those I mean, listen, you two are cooking when it comes to this.

00:19:22
Speaker 2: Because when I look at that moment between Giselle and Ashley, for me, it was sort of like, I know how hard it is because you want to protect that because one of.

00:19:35
Speaker 1: My friends at WOLO shut up.

00:19:39
Speaker 2: One regret, one regret she does have is bringing her man on the show. Because the moment he got on the show, the Housewife fans started googling him, knowing his social Security number, any mugshots, his his his.

00:19:59
Speaker 1: Freaking like course situation.

00:20:02
Speaker 2: And what the man doesn't realize is the moment you come on the show, right baby, that man's life is no longer going to be the same.

00:20:13
Speaker 1: Right.

00:20:13
Speaker 2: And unfortunately he's sort of like, I like you as somebody I could date, but if this is what comes with.

00:20:20
Speaker 1: It, I don't off the door. Yeah, I don't want it.

00:20:26
Speaker 4: That's so true because first of all, there are ones who really don't want it. It's too much because they're doing illegal shit. And then there's ones who are not doing an illegal things or they're cheating so or there's ones who just want the fame and want to use you to get the fame, and they're out date someone who likes you. Ladies, listen to me, just let them like you date you, don't take them. Slow down, be a lady, be Jamior. Is not that what they say, be jamiir Let him take you out, see what he has to offer. And I thought about a good six months to You're like, wow, I really like he doesn't care about the thing he's not trying to be seen, he's not trying to come to every party I have, And like, why didn't you post me on social media? Y'all know what it is.

00:21:09
Speaker 3: But some kind of way y'all be so insecure, y'all gonna stop that.

00:21:13
Speaker 4: You see, I'm still over here single by myself, okay, with all my friends. I go over there with Sonya and Ross. I'm I'm a bump writing, I'm a crash writing, and I'm coming with y'all.

00:21:25
Speaker 6: I'm the same.

00:21:27
Speaker 1: I'm not Marla marlow I tell you about all the time.

00:21:29
Speaker 3: Coy.

00:21:30
Speaker 4: It's like, I'm not trying to do what happened to y'all like to just is it just the world of social media make you feel you have to have a man? Are you even?

00:21:40
Speaker 3: God?

00:21:42
Speaker 2: That's what Sonya said, though, first of all, I'm I'm like Marlowe. I love being a third wheeld. I don't care.

00:21:47
Speaker 1: I love hanging out all day. But but I do.

00:21:51
Speaker 2: Agree with Sonya in terms of the pressures. But Sonya, want to ask you this. Your husband obviously was on the show, and and he there reserved, and he is somebody from what I can tell, that was like trying to be all in the cameras and all in the scene. He wasn't or he was No, he was not, he was not was was? Was there a difficult conversation that you and Ross had when it came to his participation on Housewives?

00:22:23
Speaker 5: Absolutely, I mean Ross initially didn't want us to film the show. And when they so, they interviewed me or came around. In the first year, I wasn't officially living in Atlanta yet. I was here working, but I still live in Austin, so that whole thing didn't happen. The second time they came to the season, I came on, We had our first interview, It went great and everything, and Ross and I actually were in a really tough part in our marriage. And to be honest, Carlos, I didn't realize how bad it was because I was so used to just moving forward, doing the next thing, tackle the next thing.

00:22:52
Speaker 3: I had the baby, you know, just keep going, keep going.

00:22:54
Speaker 5: And so because he was more present in our marriage, he was like, this is not the time, It's not the time to do the show. And I was like, no, this isn't an opportunity. We gotta keep winning, We gotta keep winning.

00:23:04
Speaker 4: You know.

00:23:04
Speaker 5: So I was just so headstrong on going forward forward. For well, when they came to film our actual test, like you know, when they test, you left close, he left did balled. I was like, oh my god, like this right, So that's never happened before, Like he's never ever just been like that strong in a no, like he was like, we're not doing it. And so the fact that it came back and so that what end up happening was Ross actually called the producers and talk to them about her Here's.

00:23:39
Speaker 3: What I will and will not do.

00:23:41
Speaker 5: Here's what we gotta protect, like you know, because our marriage and our family means everything to him. And so after he had that conversation, they came back around and we filmed. So it was like you're saying, I think that with any partner, whether you've been here there for twenty years or it's you know, a new relationship, a lot of them men have reservations and concerns about being on that kind of platform, you know, and especially because there's like a curse like majority of the marriages don't last for whatever reason, you know. So so yeah, it was it was a journey, and I think, honestly, looking back, Ross was right, I feel like it wasn't the right time for me to be on a housewife.

00:24:14
Speaker 3: That's the last of two years.

00:24:15
Speaker 5: I think I did need more time to like really settle into womanhood and motherhood and wife and all those things. I think I'd be a better housewife in like five years.

00:24:23
Speaker 3: But I still I do.

00:24:26
Speaker 5: I still I really I grew from it so much, but I wasn't ready to be a housewife yet.

00:24:30
Speaker 3: I really wasn't.

00:24:31
Speaker 2: I want to ask you this, and Marlowe, I want to ask this question too. I know personally personally that when a housewife is not asked back on the show, they feel like they have to rush into the next big thing, like I.

00:24:47
Speaker 1: Have to do something next.

00:24:48
Speaker 2: I gotta, I gotta, I gotta get back on TV or I gotta get back on the show.

00:24:51
Speaker 1: I gotta.

00:24:52
Speaker 2: It becomes like it's adrenaline, because let's have a real conversation where you're a housewife, especially a housewife.

00:24:58
Speaker 1: You are famous and and people know you.

00:25:01
Speaker 2: Within one day, you're instantly globally famous because that show is so huge, and they're chasing something once they're not on in the show anymore. One thing I will say about the two of you and and marl I'm gonna get you in a second. I appreciate Sonya your honesty about like it just I did it in hindsight, I wasn't ready meaning the life you have now where you're going with it, Marlowe, I want to ask you this as well, since we are on the topic. You were a friend of for so long and what the world don't know that I will confirm you were actually be a housewife season four and you turned it down?

00:25:37
Speaker 1: You you you you turned it down because you were like you had the reason just like she didn't need it. You didn't need it.

00:25:46
Speaker 2: And what the world doesn't know that I will share you were cool being a friend. You said to me, You said to me, marlow if I may, you said to me, these girls got a film all week and do all this and all of that.

00:26:07
Speaker 3: She loved the song.

00:26:08
Speaker 4: She's like, I gotta do how much work? No, thank you and curse like we're doing this today. She's like, now we're doing reals.

00:26:18
Speaker 3: I'm on my way.

00:26:19
Speaker 4: I'm like, girl, I want to live a why there jail?

00:26:25
Speaker 3: I don't have a tough time, let me chill.

00:26:29
Speaker 2: I can confirm that you were like Carlos from I don't need.

00:26:32
Speaker 1: This and I'm good and I can travel. I gotta go.

00:26:36
Speaker 2: Wait, y'all give me a schedule, Carlos, I got to schedule a teenager.

00:26:40
Speaker 1: I gotta I gotta schedule work.

00:26:43
Speaker 2: But Marlowe, you did end up getting the peach in hindsight, in hindsight, do you regret accepting the peach?

00:26:52
Speaker 4: Carlos just being out of see you know I'm gonna keep it one. I got that peach because the show was seeking I have to be back. Did not fuck with me. They did not like me. We know that.

00:27:03
Speaker 3: You know that from then. I don't know what they were mad about.

00:27:05
Speaker 4: Maybe because I turned the beach down, maybe because I had been arrested, Maybe because they didn't like my real story. Because one thing, I've always been authentic with everyone. That truly am Bravo. So I do regret it. I feel like they should have offered me to peach this season, a new crew, NewSpace beach with people who didn't respect me, had worked with me for ten years, we had already all went below the belt, had.

00:27:30
Speaker 3: Done so many awful things to each other.

00:27:32
Speaker 4: Said so many things like I just feel it wasn't But I was happy that my fans got to see me have it. I do feel I deserved it because I feel I was one of the most authentic housewives ever ever in life. Look at this crazy boy, Michael. Okay, the boys just called that at home.

00:27:52
Speaker 1: So and if you have to do it all over again, would you have We're made to that.

00:27:58
Speaker 4: No, because Gus sweat. I was the friend that you could say, Candy, are you a lesbian? I was a friend that would say anything as any question. I was afraid that I didn't give a damn because I was that girl. I came on with Burkins, I came on fashion for it. I came on, like Todd said, paying for my trip to Africa. I did it for fun.

00:28:20
Speaker 2: They came out and I cannot confirm that Marlowe paid for her own trip to Africa.

00:28:27
Speaker 3: Yea, And and.

00:28:29
Speaker 2: People's like I'll give myself because she wanted to, and needy one in her there and Marlowe, but that's who Marlowe is.

00:28:38
Speaker 1: That's just the tea.

00:28:39
Speaker 4: And it's like y'all want to the people want to make it so much more than what it is, and it's not. It's like I'm not the richest no, but I'm good. I have good credit. I know what my standards are. I'm not getting around signing my my sister on here. I look up to her. No one is gonna outwork her. No one's gonna outwork her. She's a no one's gonna out mother her. My crew tied and Sonya baby, the best moms. You're not gonna outwork them. And we don't compete. They know I'm not like them. I'm gonna work when I know. Okay, we're doing this podcast. What I said the other day, I said, we're gonna give it our all because we have a competition out there.

00:29:18
Speaker 3: We go, we do what.

00:29:19
Speaker 4: We gotta do. We get up, we respect each other and glam. She just she didn't shake me plenty of times. She's always on time. Y'all know i'd be late. She's like, I just drove over here forty five damn minutes. Oh don't get it twisted that.

00:29:32
Speaker 1: She all quiet now, and your in your defense and your defense.

00:29:35
Speaker 2: Marlowe was first for this this podcast episode.

00:29:39
Speaker 1: You were first, Marlowe before me and Sona.

00:29:41
Speaker 6: No, No, no, actually not, but I'm gonna let her have it. But oh right, I was on here at four thirty and look, Ty.

00:29:50
Speaker 5: Said you could throw her under the bus. I said, throw under the bus, thank you. I was on here early, yeah, Ty thirty. I came on for thirty and then said, I said, now, don't tell me Marlowe late time. You tell me the real time, because I'm on time.

00:30:03
Speaker 1: Girl.

00:30:04
Speaker 4: I told me because I'm like, damn, I say, they told me an hour ago. Tiny tripping, she said. Sonia mad at me because I lied to her by the time, and she said, I'm not none of Marlowe.

00:30:14
Speaker 3: You don't got the lied to me by that you're making you.

00:30:21
Speaker 1: I love y'all again.

00:30:23
Speaker 2: Guy. It's called the Real Close Friends Podcast and you guys are getting just a taste of this chemistry, so please subscribe it download the podcast in the episodes now. One of the most moments of the most major moments from this season, and I know you got to get caught up at the reunion is the relationship between new housewife Stacey, who people say kind.

00:30:44
Speaker 1: Of look like Kenya Moore.

00:30:45
Speaker 3: Absolutely death.

00:30:47
Speaker 4: Yeah said that, Carlos, I said, can you work can be best friends?

00:30:52
Speaker 1: Yes? I can actually see that too.

00:30:55
Speaker 4: Child.

00:30:56
Speaker 2: We are just getting started. This is reality with the King and I'm Carlos King. Let's get back into the show.

00:31:15
Speaker 5: First of all, let me tell you one thing I love about the Potomac Girls. I feel like, it don't matter who it is, they gonna hold you accountable. I don't care if they say next to you, if they're on the stay inside of the couch.

00:31:25
Speaker 6: Limits not the.

00:31:29
Speaker 5: Same on our show. So I love that about them. They do not play because Wendy was like, I'm.

00:31:35
Speaker 4: Sorry, I apologize, I heard your feelings. Then in the next sentence, oh yeah, you did do.

00:31:40
Speaker 5: This, I thought, exactly, I'm like, I love.

00:31:44
Speaker 3: These girls for that.

00:31:46
Speaker 4: Yeah, could never take that our girls, you.

00:31:50
Speaker 2: Don't think you don't think our girls can be held accountable?

00:31:54
Speaker 3: Or the line the.

00:31:55
Speaker 6: Season I was on, not the season the last two seasons we did.

00:31:58
Speaker 5: I felt like they were major liances, and I feel like the big dogs didn't go at each other and it was off limits, and it made it very hard for you to.

00:32:06
Speaker 6: Like, okay, like you know what I mean. I feel like this crew.

00:32:10
Speaker 4: It was like, I'm sorry. As a friend, I'm sorry, and then on the next note, yeah I do feel that, and he did.

00:32:16
Speaker 3: Yeah exactly.

00:32:18
Speaker 5: There was no accountability at that level. Like the Potoma Girls, which I really respect that.

00:32:22
Speaker 2: Yeah, no, that that that's really good insight because I think about the Potomac Ladies. I will say this this season was a reset in terms of like what they experienced in the past, and I.

00:32:33
Speaker 1: Felt like every one of those women brought it.

00:32:37
Speaker 2: I feel like they all every they're all clocked in, they all it wasn't like, well let me protect you know the fact. I think I think I think doctor Wendy is the best example when she's phenomenal. First of all, he's she's amazing at like getting her point across and doing it without screaming, or like she's so poignant with her thoughts that way.

00:33:02
Speaker 3: Articulate.

00:33:03
Speaker 5: Yes, it's like my friend Marlowe. Now come on now, Marlot, teacher class at Harvard.

00:33:11
Speaker 3: What you're talking about?

00:33:14
Speaker 4: Don't come to me, don't not so much on my girl.

00:33:18
Speaker 1: Not Marla can't teach the girls a lot of things. Articulation and on the list.

00:33:28
Speaker 2: It is the truth, the truth, real Prince marlow has taught me how to dress and how to pick up the perfect hand This is true.

00:33:37
Speaker 1: Tea. Marlo taught me how to dress and pick up the perfect handbag and now.

00:33:42
Speaker 4: Members are private clubs and being sit that tables where they never thought you would be offered to sit at Darling.

00:33:49
Speaker 2: If Marlow told me, if you're gonna go to a sports game, always sit courtside or on the floor and make sure you contact these people.

00:33:58
Speaker 4: That's all right.

00:34:00
Speaker 2: So Marlow is good at that. Now, Marlowe, doctor, you've been doctor Hampton. Maybe your next lifetime baby. Okay, but you are the doctor of fashion.

00:34:16
Speaker 1: Marlowe.

00:34:17
Speaker 2: So Sonya, you don't know this. Maybe if Marlowe told you so. On your podcast The Real Close Friends, I give Marlow notes.

00:34:26
Speaker 1: I'd be like, you should do this next, do that. I give her notes.

00:34:30
Speaker 2: I do whatever because I won't try to win so badly because I love y'all.

00:34:33
Speaker 1: So I give her notes one time, remember.

00:34:37
Speaker 2: Yes, but I give your second note recently and we're gonna do it now. So Sonya, I said, you know, you should do Marlow on your podcast with Sonya. She said, what bitch?

00:34:49
Speaker 1: I said, girl, I.

00:34:51
Speaker 2: Said you should rap the fashions of the Reunion Loves with Sonya, right, And she said, okay, So Marlow and Sonya will do this.

00:35:00
Speaker 1: I'm putting them on the spot. So you guys, look at the taste of it now.

00:35:03
Speaker 2: Marlow Patrece Hampton the doctor of fashion, Honey, Okay, rowe at fashion shows, bitch, we talk about this woman right here.

00:35:12
Speaker 1: And Sonya, you are a bad.

00:35:14
Speaker 2: Chick too, Honey, because I saw you offer you with this weekend honey for your birthday.

00:35:17
Speaker 1: Happy birthday. Congratulations.

00:35:18
Speaker 5: Okay, cars, Wait, did you notice that Low and I both en robes today because we were both so so drained from the weekend from the party we and some ear rings, honey, were so fashionable.

00:35:32
Speaker 2: Definitely, Darling Marlow Hampton rap rap the housewife's looks because in this episode they did a flashback of the girl's wigs and looks. But but, but, but I'd rather you too. Let's talk about the girl's fashions. So Marlow and Sona, are you ready for this?

00:35:51
Speaker 4: We're ready.

00:35:53
Speaker 1: I want to start with rape Giselle Bryant's look.

00:35:57
Speaker 4: I feel with me, Sonya, I feel yoursel looked good. She looked amazing. I'll go ahead.

00:36:02
Speaker 6: The best reunion look Gazelle has ever had.

00:36:04
Speaker 3: There's no I had.

00:36:06
Speaker 4: I would give her a nine. Only reason I didn't give her one. I wouldn't mind two more tracks in her hair just to make it a love fuller.

00:36:13
Speaker 3: That's it.

00:36:14
Speaker 4: But she looked amazing.

00:36:16
Speaker 3: You look fine. I had two things for.

00:36:18
Speaker 4: Her, yeah, one or two more tracks, and I didn't like the nails.

00:36:23
Speaker 3: I didn't like the nails.

00:36:24
Speaker 4: The pig you have cute French with a star something sor like nails. You needed one more, one more track and that was it. But Gazelle looked amazing.

00:36:36
Speaker 3: I found the same way the nails. I hated along.

00:36:38
Speaker 4: PIC's not you let those other girls keep girls hold it out. When he was like, oh you have your daughter and win did them keep it you see minor short, chatty cute yeah, dad for everybody.

00:36:53
Speaker 1: Okay, I agree. I thought, listen, I met just one person.

00:36:57
Speaker 3: Uh yes, come matter, I have met her in person.

00:37:03
Speaker 1: I have She's one of my favorite girls.

00:37:06
Speaker 2: She's so beautiful person, and she's so nice and cool, like she's a cool chick.

00:37:11
Speaker 1: I agree with the two of you. I thought it was her best reunion ever.

00:37:15
Speaker 3: Looked amazing, amazing.

00:37:17
Speaker 1: But this is why y'all are good. I didn't think about the another on the two tracks.

00:37:20
Speaker 2: I'm like, okay, okay, but this is why I'm obsessed with this segment. Okay, next up to that, let's rape look at them Ashley's look, I.

00:37:31
Speaker 4: Gotta put my real quick as she looked good as well. I think looks good. I kind of wish her hair was up in a bun or a ponytail.

00:37:42
Speaker 3: Her hair looked a little old. Ashley always looks.

00:37:44
Speaker 4: Good when she's natural. There was one at one part where she was talking about Stacey and she was like, Stacey, Uh failed on this one with that wig, remember yeah, and you failed on your wig while you're talking about that lady like Ashley, you don't have to do that. I know, being around all these blaite girls switching hair twenty four seven, you're so good, just natural.

00:38:09
Speaker 3: You could just do a baby.

00:38:11
Speaker 4: You could take your hands just go no, no, let me give you a note, the same note s yououd have gave me.

00:38:16
Speaker 3: You always say that my phone.

00:38:18
Speaker 5: One thing Ashley got is a full or five head. So I appreciated the bang because you be telling me you'd be like, girl, can we somethimeh? So I was not mad at her closing down the fae head I think would have been so.

00:38:33
Speaker 3: I was okay with that.

00:38:37
Speaker 4: Dang, so good at her crop tops he tops, dude, you boo, that's your thing sometimes, Like, I don't know, I felt like the being maybe a bang is just slipped back then maybe she could.

00:38:48
Speaker 3: Oh, I won't say this.

00:38:51
Speaker 1: I won't say this. I also think the two of you are right too.

00:38:56
Speaker 2: I think it could have been like that swoop bag and held you know what I'm.

00:39:05
Speaker 1: Saying, like that on the side. You know what I'm saying. M hmm.

00:39:09
Speaker 6: Yeah.

00:39:09
Speaker 4: But she looked her and looks amazing.

00:39:12
Speaker 1: Okay, next up we have Mia.

00:39:18
Speaker 4: You want to go first or you want me to go first.

00:39:20
Speaker 6: I'm just pointing out because I got can't remember.

00:39:23
Speaker 4: Mia looked amazing as well. Mia gives me Ninni. Mia is the Ninnie of that show, like how she comes off comforted when you first year her before she goes to crying. So Mia, I didn't like the feathers. I did not like her hair at all. MEA like her hair bust down like you go with a Marlowe part in the middle, bust down like just to always tell me, girl, your style is a bust down part in the middle, or mine is a bang straight stick with what works for you, bust down crimps. I did not like that I had age you, especially when you know you're gonna be crying and doing this shameful crying stuff.

00:40:01
Speaker 3: I wanted you to look like at your best, look youthful. I don't like.

00:40:06
Speaker 5: I didn't like the hair. I thought the hair definitely aged her too much. I do love her with black hair, though I think black hair is like I.

00:40:13
Speaker 3: Don't like her.

00:40:13
Speaker 1: So y'all agree she should not do the six thirteen.

00:40:16
Speaker 5: No, it's not a thirteen girl. Let's step with the black. So I love the black on her. I didn't love the hair like that, and I'm okay with the dress was cool, like it's for you and you want to go over the top. I'm not mad at feathers and stuff. And her boobs looked good at her. You know you said I don't like her.

00:40:31
Speaker 4: Girls amazing, Yes, why it, I'll tell you who boobs I didn't like, but so amazing.

00:40:38
Speaker 3: But I could have done without the feathers.

00:40:40
Speaker 4: But maybe she did the feathers in case her arms are big or something. You know, sometimes we try and camoufied stuff.

00:40:45
Speaker 2: No, it's fine, true, I agree about the hair. Of First of all, I like Mia Jeb black. I also like Mia with a buzz down wig.

00:40:56
Speaker 1: I agree with you.

00:40:57
Speaker 2: I agree with you, Marlowe's honey, because you are the queen of a buzz down wig. But you also are good at bangs. And this is my favorite look of you two as well. This is perfection to me, just perfection.

00:41:09
Speaker 1: Yeah, Yeah, you're a good I love that. Both of y'all look good. We can I think. So.

00:41:18
Speaker 2: The thing is, you're right. I think Justin is right. You need a buzz down.

00:41:25
Speaker 4: Right with him on that, because he's like, stop trying all this different ship. You own a bang or bust down. That's it. And I'm like, no, I'm gonna do something else, and I'm gonna do that. But you got to know what works for you and just stick to it.

00:41:38
Speaker 1: Okay.

00:41:38
Speaker 2: Yeah, and just so they know, because you know, you know the range as on Nosey, Justin is on Marlowe's management team.

00:41:47
Speaker 1: Just marlow take people name on here.

00:41:50
Speaker 2: But I'll be like, they have no idea you're talking about, sister w The comments is that marlow Man's that's he's part of Marlow's management. Okay, all right, so up next we have doctor Windy.

00:42:03
Speaker 1: You want to show them.

00:42:03
Speaker 4: Okay, I had one. I had two issues with Wendy, but it was on two different TVs I was seeing. I looked at it on an old TV and on a new one in my house.

00:42:15
Speaker 1: So when did the point you start? What are you gonna say? Was it your TV? Exactly?

00:42:24
Speaker 4: I'm gonna see what the comment said. They gonna tell me if the TV was Whendy, you looked amazing. Your boob bothered the hell. I mean right here that boob, Like did you see right there?

00:42:35
Speaker 3: Look? It was like, no, not that.

00:42:37
Speaker 4: When she when she was sitting, it was like, oh, I was so mad. I wanted them to make it one inch bigger. So her boots just rest and was like that. But it was like it was like weird over there was it right?

00:42:51
Speaker 3: It bothered me. Please look at our Carlos and see it.

00:42:53
Speaker 4: It was weird when she was sitting and her frontal which I've had this issue before and not throwing your shape. I want you to get like maybe one from Kendres's boutique, a high definition.

00:43:04
Speaker 3: I could see the from lace. We can't see the lace.

00:43:07
Speaker 4: Yes, I could see the lace and I with the lace, but I've had to learn the hard way you only can wear a lace one of two days. That's it. So I don't know if they put it on that morning or did you do it that night, But when you're doing the reunion, get your lace applied that morning in the dress room.

00:43:22
Speaker 3: That's the only time it kind of disappears and.

00:43:25
Speaker 4: Starts doing the landed or definitely just reached out to Kenya's Kindred's boutique and get a high definition lace.

00:43:33
Speaker 1: Where's where's Kendre's boutique located?

00:43:36
Speaker 4: Kris? She didn't, Saint Louis, where's she at? It's online? Just look up, she is online.

00:43:45
Speaker 1: I actually next, I'm grabbing my juice. I'm not leaving it. I'm grabbing my juice. Sonya got so all that lace.

00:43:53
Speaker 5: Though, right, I did see the lace actually, and I think doctor Wendy is probably the most stylish on the cat like her looks, she does all she her looks so diverse, like she does her thing to the fantastic stylist, like, I love it.

00:44:06
Speaker 4: But I don't know if I loved her hair. I felt like her hair.

00:44:08
Speaker 5: I feel like it was like that in between, like a bob lob, like I wish it was either like a nice sharp bob or like long I felt like it was like at that weird weird cut angle, you.

00:44:17
Speaker 6: Know what I mean, Like it was like you're right, you're right, and it's like a weird.

00:44:22
Speaker 4: Alone.

00:44:23
Speaker 3: Yeah, like where are we at with this?

00:44:24
Speaker 6: So I like that.

00:44:26
Speaker 5: Yeah, but two of the girls have boobs issued it was windy and.

00:44:30
Speaker 3: I don't know that girl that one.

00:44:33
Speaker 5: Oh my god, they were sitting on top of the dress. I was like, girl, this dress is too small, Like they're literally like sitting there that that wasn't Stacy.

00:44:44
Speaker 4: Yeah, Wendy boobs bothered me so bad. Were not right like hers was like so tight. Let me give her a suggestion next time if that happens. Whoever is there on set, you can get any fabric and you have them just open it and just saw a piece of fabric in the back while you're right there because no one sitting.

00:45:08
Speaker 1: Yeah.

00:45:09
Speaker 4: So the unzipped colored piece of my jeans are worn here and just sore on the hairstyles because of so just so the boots.

00:45:15
Speaker 3: You see how that looks good there? Like if I want to do that or you can just you know, you just need a little more room. It was too Yeah, it was too it was too tight. One thing Marla gonna do it.

00:45:25
Speaker 5: I'm telling you, Marlow, I've never seen anybody like her. There's always a way to fix an outfit. This girl be like, no, no, we just need you know, seriously, like she's always yes, like it doesn't matter if it's too big, too small to this, She's gonna tie it.

00:45:37
Speaker 3: We're gonna cut it. We're gonna this.

00:45:38
Speaker 4: I'm like, so if yes, next time, k just d M low she'll get you like unzipp it. Tell them to put a napkin back there.

00:45:47
Speaker 1: And yes, guys are so good at this. You got so good at this. Okay, up next.

00:45:56
Speaker 2: We have we're talking about KK so last but.

00:45:59
Speaker 1: Not leaves will be stafy.

00:46:02
Speaker 5: She looks fabulous to me, look at this low She's like, that's it.

00:46:05
Speaker 4: I had one complaint on it. The red look was amazing, even though she looked like someone I don't like at all. The only complaint I had with her is that wig husy. You know, I'm gonna be bit. I see why they impress that one piece.

00:46:20
Speaker 3: No, but it wasn't just that one piece.

00:46:22
Speaker 5: There's also a string in the front that kept coming out like a little hair.

00:46:27
Speaker 6: The dress was killer. Stacy was not the hair. The hair one right, the wig one right, The wig was not right?

00:46:36
Speaker 4: That was it?

00:46:37
Speaker 1: Ladies, jeent to min Gabe and days.

00:46:40
Speaker 2: That is the real close friends Marlowe and Sonya give me y'all the fashion recap, which, by the way, do me a favorite girls, do that on your podcast for the next one you like, I'm telling you, I've learned so much about this because one thing that the girls don't know of the audience, Alga, when you try and your dress for the reunion, you have to make sure you sit down with the dress.

00:47:04
Speaker 4: Yeah, it's the city, and we do that when we're getting dressed for like, how is this citty has to sit right?

00:47:11
Speaker 3: You're not my first reunion dress?

00:47:13
Speaker 4: My I thought, wasn't that thing was sticking in my neck?

00:47:18
Speaker 5: The whole thought was like faint distress. I should have worked longer. It was so tight on my neck. I thought I was going to literally pass out and die.

00:47:27
Speaker 2: Yes, yeah, yeah, there was sitting a sitting test all right. Last, but not least, we have to get into the most talked about woman on the Real Housewife I'm sorry, the Real Housewife of Atonement, which is a woman I.

00:47:42
Speaker 1: Call Mia be lying whether you watch.

00:47:45
Speaker 3: This, Carlos.

00:47:48
Speaker 4: That's not right, that's not right. No.

00:47:51
Speaker 2: But in my defense, ti Ye, my defense. Mia has been on reality for the King. I met Mia.

00:47:56
Speaker 1: Miya actually think it's cute. Now she likes it. She likes it, so I could call her that Mia likes it.

00:48:02
Speaker 2: Okay, I love Mia, But Mia, doude lyon, what are your thoughts on Mia? And listen, and I want to hear from the two of you, because again, Sonya, you are a mother and Marlowe you are a monty, which means mom auntie. Because Marlowe adopted two of her nephews and she's raising them and they're they're in high school, so Marlowe has kids too.

00:48:26
Speaker 1: Now YouTube being mothers.

00:48:29
Speaker 2: It's this big debate on social media and clearly with the other Potomac Housewives about Mia talking about the storyline of paternity on this show when her minor child because he's under eighteen, can see it, or it can be discussed a Monster's friends in school that oh, your mom.

00:48:50
Speaker 1: Don't know who your daddy is. Because I think what the world.

00:48:53
Speaker 2: Doesn't know is the kids may not watch the show, but their parents do and they be listening. End of the conversation when they drop you to school or you know a lot of their mama's Marlon sona play reality with the King as they're taking the kids to school, honey, and then listen to Carlos King talk about it too and to the real close.

00:49:13
Speaker 3: Friends so they hear it.

00:49:16
Speaker 2: Yeah, exactly, Cormal's Shamus plug. What do y'all think about that being mothers? Was Mia out of line for bringing that topic to.

00:49:26
Speaker 5: The show one hundred is diabolical?

00:49:31
Speaker 3: I think that, Yeah, I think that.

00:49:34
Speaker 4: I think that people have to understand.

00:49:36
Speaker 5: The reach the parameter, I mean, understand the dynamics of what they're doing for the future. People just think about right now. But I thought it was really horrible because he's gonna have to live with that as he gets older. And what I think makes it worse is that she actually always knew who the father was, you know what I mean. I don't think she ever really had a doubt. Because if you're doing IVF and you're going through all that stuff and you know, like it's not like it was like she's like, I'm sticking with these two guys and I always never knew which one it was. It's like, girl, you're like literally going through fertility treatment. So I really like me and me and marlow hung out with her, and I think she's a wonderful person off camera, Like I really like her. But I cringed every time I heard about it, saw until about it because I'm like, oh my God, like you're baby, you know what I mean? Like I always when I was on the shop, I always think about, like, how is my son?

00:50:24
Speaker 3: How would my kids feel.

00:50:25
Speaker 5: About what I'm doing, Because at the end of the day, they're the ones that matter. The audience doesn't matter. A storyline doesn't matter, it doesn't matter. None of your kids matter the most. So like I just I hated that she did that and ran with that storyline because I felt like it was such an awful thing to do to a kid. I think all those leave that off the show, like do stuff with adults, like do you know what I mean, play with the adults, but don't do those kids stuff that could have such a deep impact on them in the future. So I hated it for me, even though I love, love love her, I really hated that.

00:50:55
Speaker 2: Hated it, Marlowe, be honest, Marlowe, Well, I want to say this.

00:51:03
Speaker 1: I want to say this before you start on one.

00:51:07
Speaker 2: On one of your seasons of Atlanta Housewives, you were vocal that you put one of your.

00:51:13
Speaker 1: Nephews out because.

00:51:16
Speaker 2: You kick them out they were misbehaving all these things right, and your castmates said that was wrong. So I do want to talk to you about it because I'm gonna say this, and then I'm gonna have you finished because i want to give my perspective, and then we'll get George Marlow. I'm not a mother, and my disclaimer with any shows of mind or that I recap is I always say I'm not a woman, I'm not a mother, and there's a certain level of experience that I just don't have.

00:51:45
Speaker 1: So I'm always looking at as a viewer me as a viewer.

00:51:50
Speaker 2: I do come from the school of if if that's your reality, then talk about it.

00:51:57
Speaker 1: If that's your reality, that that's that's that's.

00:52:00
Speaker 2: What I want when I watched television. I also understand though I'm not a mother, and I will never know what that feels like being a mother, And I respect women and mothers who have said to me and science said it that they think that's deplorable, and I'm never gonna bash their opinion. For that because I'm not a woman or mom, but I will be honest and say, as a viewer, a gay man with no kids, I watched and said, oh, this is what she is experiencing.

00:52:30
Speaker 1: Let's talk about it. Go ahead, Marlow Carlos.

00:52:33
Speaker 4: Do you remember back when I was on Real House Host Atlanta when they finally got to meet my mom and we went out to Lathonia, the house that I pay for, and you remember we went in there, all the producers came and my mom went into refrigerator, she got a bar, she sat down. Motherfucking bitch, I did this, and bitch, I gave you the best life I mother fucking can do.

00:52:56
Speaker 3: You remember when we left, how producers were crying. The world never saw that.

00:53:01
Speaker 4: Remember, the world never saw my real reality. And if you would have saw that song, you would have been in tears because you can't relate to that. Your mother is so amazing, she's so loving, And to this day, I was praying in ten years brabo ever would flash that back. I even asked them for it, like this was years ago. They didn't flash that back. We went there, the producers were like, oh my god, because I put on this facade, of being so fabulous and so beautiful. But this is where I come from, and they never showed my reality or what I came from.

00:53:35
Speaker 3: A mom cursing me out drinking the bell, bitch, fuck you.

00:53:38
Speaker 4: I tried the best I could do. Your dad did this. So what I say is this is when it's a catch twenty two? Is there a rule book? Is it really reality or is it efted it? Like? Is it really reality? Is this the job you take?

00:53:52
Speaker 3: I do know the kids. It's a lot on them.

00:53:55
Speaker 4: It's a lot on Michael William to go to school and someone to say I'm a prostitute, number whore. It's a lot on Michael Whitman's sasselet with old white men. But guess what, that's my reality and my my real, real, real reality is my nephew's knowing who I really am, knowing that they've been here almost six years and they've never seen different men in my house, knowing that I've never put a man before them. So we have to sometimes have common sense that it is reality TV, but it is edited, and do we give you our reality or do we take it? Hey, she was doing in vitro. She probably was getting some wood from old Boy. His wood probably work better than old Boy would. And she's saying, yeah, that lady is telling the truth or not because the story don't sound believable.

00:54:43
Speaker 3: We do know she lies, but.

00:54:46
Speaker 4: She got stuff going on there, are you guys?

00:54:48
Speaker 3: She really does.

00:54:50
Speaker 5: And I want to add one thing to to my perspective though, is that my perspective obviously is in hindsight, right, Like in the moment, she might have thought she was doing the right thing right, living her reality, living her truth, But in hindsight, when you see it play out, you're like, man, this is diabolical. Like this the whole thing just felt so hard for us, for me to watch right and for me being a mom who I ultimately always want to protect my children, you know, but I think I do. And that's the one reason I give her some grace is because I do think that she went into it the best of intentions, so like, this is really what's happening in my life right now.

00:55:27
Speaker 3: But I do feel like, tell all the things that.

00:55:30
Speaker 5: Especially impact you as adults, but when it comes to your children, you have to be even more thoughtful and mindful, even when it comes to reality TV, because at the end of the day.

00:55:38
Speaker 3: You don't want to leave.

00:55:39
Speaker 5: Scars on them that last a lifetime. Marlow, you're talking about that moment with your mom that lasts a life lifetime, Like she said that you'll never forget it, And so Mia is potentially causing those same kind of scars in hindsight to her children by doing this, You know what I mean. I give her grace because I know the pressure of being on reality TV, wanting to produce her great storyline and making it as true as possible, and sometimes getting caught up because how they edit it makes you look crazy.

00:56:04
Speaker 6: But as watching as if you were in hindsight, I'm.

00:56:06
Speaker 3: Like, fam like, this was not good.

00:56:09
Speaker 5: Like I hate this for her children because I personally feel like she always knew it was her husband's and now she put this out there for what for what?

00:56:17
Speaker 3: Know that she knew it.

00:56:18
Speaker 4: Was her husband's. I feel in her.

00:56:20
Speaker 5: Hearts, I feel in her every woman knows. I feel like when I feel like in her heart.

00:56:25
Speaker 3: She knew it was jeez, like she knew that.

00:56:27
Speaker 4: But Kay with exploring the option, well, if she knew it, If she really didn't know it, Mil, I'm mad at you. If you didn't know it, it's her fucking reality and you might can't relate to it because it's not your reality. Half of y'all come walk a maul on my shoes and then you're mad because I'm so strong and I'm powerful and I'm fabulous because guess what, I came home every day from school with the mom smoking crack on a can, getting high with a pipe or a can. Half my friends can never relate. Never, And guess what. I was on the show where it girls for ten years who couldn't relate, and nowhere did they say, dang, I could never imagine that, Like this girl came home getting abused, mom on drugs, making rice and sugar for her little brother. So I just feel if she's lying, that's freaking awful. But if she really didn't know, that's her reality. Mama didn't know, Michael, I didn't know if you if you was gonna be my baby or not. I was sleeping with both of them as a teenager.

00:57:32
Speaker 3: That was my truth.

00:57:33
Speaker 4: And let's be clear, y'all just was cracking on me, just staying with my annunciation. Now, I'm not this you know the best with speaking meal education ain't that big either. This show is her biggest success. That boy's gonna love his mom. The way you ran track, the way that you are a reality king. That's what you have to tell your child that you did and they can look up to you. Guess what me and Mel have to talk about Reality TV? That's everything to me. When I go home to Saint Petersburgh for the baby, I'm everything. I go on Walmart in them stores and I pay for bills. I made it out my hood. I made it out the hood. I am superwoman. I'm hurt. I may not be what this person was on the show. What you are, what you are, but in my hood, I'm her, I'm her, and I feel I have a better heart than half the people who didn't even go through what I went through. I'm more given than half the people who didn't even go through what I went through. So it's just if you want to live this world of Americans like, oh, you should protect the child, What about protecting the person.

00:58:37
Speaker 3: She's her too.

00:58:38
Speaker 4: How do we know that lady may not go and commit suicide or do something to herself. We don't know what that lady's going through. This job is tough.

00:58:46
Speaker 3: This job is tough. You got all these women who make you feel that they're above you.

00:58:50
Speaker 4: You're drinking alcohol twenty four to seven, you're arguing and you're fussing. You're with the older guy. You probably do want to be with a younger guy. But the older guy I treat you better, he's better.

00:59:00
Speaker 3: Father.

00:59:01
Speaker 4: Who are we to judge? Who are we really to judge? We can say what we feel about. I don't know if she's lying or not, but if you.

00:59:08
Speaker 3: Are lying, that is wrong. Yeah, I agree with you.

00:59:13
Speaker 5: I think I think everything else behind the whole ink thing all that. I just hated the part with the fraternity for her.

00:59:21
Speaker 3: That's hard.

00:59:21
Speaker 5: I think that's really hard for a person, a kid who hears his whole life has thought that that's his dad, to introduce that to him at this age. But you know, like you said, it's a hard game to play.

00:59:32
Speaker 3: That is now.

00:59:33
Speaker 5: Yeah, she officially that it was Jeez, she said officially on the on this episode they did then.

00:59:40
Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm sure she told them she got the results. I mean, she ain't gonna tell.

00:59:43
Speaker 1: Us, not him, Yeah she Yeah, we didn't.

00:59:45
Speaker 2: We didn't see Mia tell her son on the show, by the way, this is your father or whatever. But she did have the reunion that they went through the process and that it was Gordon's and listen, this is the beauty of this conversation. And and most importantly, you know YouTube being from this world and understanding the dark side of it, and the dark side that Marlow did touch on is the fact that, look, there is this judgment that cloud people's reality as if you know we're better than you because you come from this walk of life. And I mean the story YouTube Ship were so touching to me that I did get chunked up a bit because y'all know, I love this genre and I love what I do, and I love the reason why it's this thing. Like Carlos loves all the girls, I love all the girls because all the girls are brave to.

01:00:37
Speaker 1: Do this job.

01:00:39
Speaker 2: If I if this is true, Tea, if someone came to me and said, we'll give you a million dollars to do reality television, I'll say, baby, I could wait a couple of years to make that doing something else.

01:00:52
Speaker 1: I'm saying, I don't have to stand on the.

01:00:56
Speaker 2: Confidence exactly, the stumpach to handle my life being judged. So the point where I'm sitting at home like, Okay, you cannot like it. But at what point does it stop, Like, at what point do you say, well, thank you for showing your reality.

01:01:20
Speaker 1: I don't like it, lit bitch, okay, cool.

01:01:22
Speaker 4: Right, but you you respect that the person to even put it out there.

01:01:27
Speaker 3: Exactly.

01:01:27
Speaker 4: Yes.

01:01:27
Speaker 2: And the reason why I created this platform is because not only is it give people like you to have the chance to really, like Marlo said, like to really get to know people like people said Marlow was desperate to be a housewife.

01:01:39
Speaker 1: Well, Carlos King, who was there since day one, can confirm to you guys, she wasn't desperate. She turned it down.

01:01:45
Speaker 2: I can say to Sonya, I love the fact that you can say, in hindsight it was too early for me to do a Housewise, maybe five years from now I can do it.

01:01:53
Speaker 1: But I love that. And that's the importance of this conversation.

01:01:58
Speaker 2: And that's why it's important rain Drops to subscribe and download to the real close friends, because these are the types of conversations that Marlow and Sonya have with each other that we just had on my platform. And I would like to end by saying, look, at the end of the day, when it comes to reality television, give these people a little bit of grace, have an opinion, a lot of grace, a lot of great right, right, have an opinion, throw some shade.

01:02:27
Speaker 1: Look, look, it's all look human, it's all goods human. We all do it. But but but but I'll say this much after you leave your nasty comment, just go home. Don't continue doing it every week now, baby, Like, at some point it's like, Okay, I got the message.

01:02:41
Speaker 6: I got it. I got it.

01:02:44
Speaker 1: Don't tag me either, I got it. You hate me? Cool? Cool, give me a moment.

01:02:49
Speaker 4: I was this part Carlos Real Quick on the millby Lyon Boy, and that girl read the receipts that she came to Miami, Miami, and I was like, what Neil was?

01:03:01
Speaker 1: But let me tell you.

01:03:02
Speaker 4: Neil was like, I'm like, God, damn you just outright.

01:03:07
Speaker 1: I'm like, Nia, I need you up this. I'm like, what the fuck you.

01:03:17
Speaker 3: To the party and to them and then go to them.

01:03:22
Speaker 4: Yes, that's why I said, it's more to the story. We don't know what she's going really.

01:03:29
Speaker 1: We don't. Yeah, no, and listen, that's why that's why we're going to offer her some grades.

01:03:33
Speaker 2: But Marlowe and Sonya, thank you to so much in your busy schedule and again, congratulations Sonya on your pregnancy.

01:03:42
Speaker 1: I'm so happy for you the way.

01:03:45
Speaker 2: Yes, so Marlo Sogno, let the rain drops know where they can find you, follow your support, not only just the podcast, but also the many other endeavors you guys are working on.

01:03:55
Speaker 4: Go ahead and let them know.

01:03:56
Speaker 3: Siya.

01:03:57
Speaker 1: Yeah.

01:03:57
Speaker 5: So I'm on all the platforms as Signia Richie Ross. I love creating content and especially sharing my family and just all the things that I'm working on. So you follow me on social media. I still commentate track and field, so I do all the big meat. So if you're watching NBC and Milrose Games, so US Nationals, the Olympics, World Championships, you can catch me on those things as well.

01:04:19
Speaker 3: I have a new brand.

01:04:20
Speaker 6: I was on Shark Tank with Coordinates, my husband and I.

01:04:23
Speaker 1: My favorite show, by the way, I hit put you off. We won. My favorite show is Shark Tank.

01:04:29
Speaker 5: You would have loved to be there, like in the thing. It was so amazing, so intense. So we got a partner, so we are working with Robert on Coordinates, so we have big things popping with that. So, you know, just continuing to win, but most importantly.

01:04:41
Speaker 3: Winning in my marriage with my family. That means the world to me.

01:04:44
Speaker 5: So you know, that's been my priority and I just feel I'm this in a great place. So I'm really excited about pushing our podcast. Working with Marlowe has been such a treat. I think that people haven't had a chance to really see her heart and Carlos, you've known her for twenty years.

01:04:58
Speaker 4: She has been such a good friend to me.

01:05:00
Speaker 5: Moving here to Atlanta, I don't have a lot of close friends here and so that's why I was so fitting to name our podcast The Real Close Friends because on the show, obviously what you guys saw was the brewing of our friendship, Like we had just met literally on the show in this very unique situation, and we were able to build a real.

01:05:17
Speaker 3: Genuine friendship out of that.

01:05:18
Speaker 5: So yeah, I definitely download the podcast, support us as we grow, and then on all the things that I'm when I share all that stuff on my social.

01:05:25
Speaker 4: Media absolutely, and you guys know where you can find me. D marlu Hampton Okay, all things Marlo Hampton, Glamor Up and steer there my nonprofit for girls in foster Care, which we just did a huge event for and I'm gonna always use something for my girls in foster care. If you don't know, I was raised in foster care, which I'm sure you know. The Real Close Friends, like you said, Dania, love you to death. I'm so glad that we really got close to each other, got to know each other and just keep it real because there's so many shows out there that don't keep it real.

01:05:56
Speaker 3: Besides Reality King and the Real Close Friends to follow us. You're gonna like some of the things that we say, but you're gonna always say they're telling the truth. And what's the most important is just being your authentic self. And that's all I can be. I'm not good at acting. That's why you don't really see me on that many acting jobs.

01:06:15
Speaker 2: But you are good again money okay, So brain drop, make sure the Real Close.

01:06:20
Speaker 4: Ain't the archive coming rent from the archive?

01:06:23
