We're gonna give shout outs real quick to San Antonio, Texas. Our buddy Rob who listens down there all the time. Hey Rob, I'm a Texas guy. My wife's from New Bronfles. I've floated the Comal River. They call you a hop along Dickens. I love Green Texas. I go to Cha Cho's. I've been to Cowboys dance Hall. 00:02:25 Speaker 1: Rich, where is a thirty gallon hat? Hopefully he had longer shorts on when he did that. 00:02:28 Speaker 3: Yeah, I've done it all in Texas. 00:02:31 Speaker 2: Rich has a full on cowboy Curtis outfit. I have special occasions. 00:02:35 Speaker 3: I helped I try to help my friend find his bike once in the basement of the Alma. Yes, but my buddy Rob hit us up and he goes, you guys talk a little NBA here and there. He goes, how about some love for my spurs. At the end of January, they were thirty two and sixteen. It's April third. You know what their record is now fifty nine and eighteen. They have twenty seven and two in their last twenty nine And for all the doubters of wemy what this team could do, he said, wait for the playoffs. 00:03:01 Speaker 1: He's excited. So you mean, the self proclaimed MVP of the league. 00:03:04 Speaker 3: Ye know, Wemby, and the scene is going to be one to watch come playoff time. 00:03:08 Speaker 1: Hottest team in the league, so see the locker only question mark. The only small question mark with the Spurs is they don't have playoff experience, so we'll see how they do on the in the brightest lights. That is true, and I've been doing in a best of seven. 00:03:22 Speaker 2: Before we continue with baseball. We're big baseball fans too, Cavino and Rich. MLB popping great season so far, Pittsburgh's playing in front of us. Profet's got your updates. He told you about Connor Griffin hitting a double in his first at bat, But when you watch it again, nineteen year old kid. First of all, looks like a grown man at nineteen. I barely had a shave, but it looks like a grown man nineteen years old. His first MLB at bat, RBI double in the gap, sweet stroke. But the best part, and you'll love it, Rich, they go to his family and they're going bonkers in the stands. 00:03:58 Speaker 3: They're going crazy at sisters. 00:04:03 Speaker 2: So is there in tears crying? Those really are the best moments because he's a young kid, and when you see the family explode into tears and excitement is there's nothing better. 00:04:16 Speaker 1: So check it out later, you'll enjoy it. I think the parents of the Giants player shaking the baby, Oh yeah video, I think that was fantastic. That's so good. It's really cool. 00:04:25 Speaker 3: Nothing more exciting than probably I can only imagine. Imagine put yourself in that mindset for one second. I'm I'm living in now. I'm wearing a coach Rich sweatshirt today. If you coach your kids and you're spending every weekend watching flag football, baseball, football, basketball, whatever your kids are playing, imagine there comes a time your kid makes it to the bigs and nineteen. 00:04:46 Speaker 2: That's young dude, Like you still feel that's your that's your baby in a weird way, right, like still a young man, like a kid. 00:04:53 Speaker 1: Kind of got to get him some sparkling cier for after the game. 00:04:56 Speaker 2: I mean, not too many years ago you were bringing orange slices to his ballgame that age. 00:05:01 Speaker 1: The parents still make him an Easter basket for real, when you see, it's really cool. This kid was born after we started doing a show. 00:05:08 Speaker 2: Again, We've been doing a show longer than he's been alive, So congrats to him. That's pretty cool. And speaking of baseball, is another guy tearing it up. His name is Munataka Murakami. There hasn't been a night where you haven't seen a highlight of this dude. Probably. He has gotten a hit in each of his first five games. And after his hit against the Marlins, John is it Shriffin, John Triffin, Right, John announcer John Triffin called him the south Side Samurai. 00:05:40 Speaker 3: Well, he was saying how he's looking for a nickname. Yeah, he's a young star player, And after ripping a double, he said, there he is the south side Samurai and I was sam You and I had the same reaction, like, that's a sweet ass nickname. 00:05:55 Speaker 2: It is, it's a literative, it's it's smooth. Well, I had a double check though. Rich loves to ask Colin, I just use chat shept. I keep it simple, Ai, Colin. 00:06:04 Speaker 1: Is my goal. 00:06:04 Speaker 2: I just wanted to hey, Colin, I just wanted to make sure I did say Samurai doesn't have a positive or negative connotation that I might not know about, right, Like, I think it's cool, Well Samurai, Yeah, Tom Cruise, last, I appreciate I appreciate your willingness to want to learn, and I learned. Historically, samurais or honorable the warrior class of Japan, especially during the feudal era, and they're often associated with honor and loyalty of the busheto code. Remember when h what was his name, Barry Goldberg was oh the goldbergs he it was all about the the bashido code. So it's about discipline and skill, courage and duty. And because of this, in modern usage, calling someone a samurai usually implies respect, someone principled, strong, or honorable. The only neutral or negative side of maybe that is like a blind loyalty. So overall it is a positive thing. I can't find the negative here. But so I don't catch that. Guys like Gordon Beckham and White Sox officials were not pleased with this, and this guy seems to be in hot water about it. I haven't was there an apology that I don't know about, but not that I see. They are putting the kai bosh to it. You know, Listen, I think we live. 00:07:21 Speaker 3: In a world where we are we are, We've overcorrected and now we're coming back to normal behavior where I think maybe five years ago it's like, what did he call him a samurai, he's Asian, You're fired. I think we have now entered a world where we the pendulum has swung back to normalcy. 00:07:40 Speaker 1: Right. 00:07:40 Speaker 3: It was like there was people were being insensitive, you over correct, and now we're back to normal. No announcer should be fired or reprimanded by coming up with a sweetest nickname the South Side of Chicago south Side Samurai for a Japanese player that is playing unbelievable right now? 00:07:56 Speaker 5: Why not ask him do you like this nickname or not? If he doesn't like it, then. 00:07:59 Speaker 2: Don't you If he said now, yeah, if he said he like what you got to get? 00:08:04 Speaker 3: What if he said, thank you, that's the coolest nickname. But you know what it is. 00:08:10 Speaker 1: That this guy is in hot water because of it, and this what if Jack Morris was the one who gave it to him? 00:08:15 Speaker 3: Well, I said to Danny during the break, I said, listen, this is not like Jack Morris who said some really insensitive stuff years ago. 00:08:21 Speaker 2: And his defense an old guy and didn't mean again. Context does matter. 00:08:24 Speaker 3: I think intent is something defending the guy, But I think intent and context does play a part. 00:08:29 Speaker 1: It was like Bugs Bunny cartoon kind of humor for Jack Morris. 00:08:33 Speaker 3: Jack Morris did an Asian voice like a couple of years back. When it came to how he would pitch around, he said he would be very careful pitching to a tani. But he said it in like an old school like bugs bunny Asian voice, insensitive, wrong, agreed, there was no accent, there was no there was nothing derogatory. He called them the south Side Samurai. Cool nickname. So your thoughts on this, I think intent is so important. We talked about this during the break. Danny how in comedy, if someone ever calls someone a name and it's meant to hurt feelings or be rude, that's a big difference in someone trying to give someone a really complimentary, cool nickname. And listen, people are constantly learning. But I, like Cavino, just looked it up. My first instinct was, samurais honorable and brave. 00:09:21 Speaker 1: Isn't there and he's Japanese. 00:09:23 Speaker 2: A japan League team, a Japanese league team, isn't there a Samurai team? So we just got off of the World Baseball Classic where Japan very proud people who compete at a high level of baseball. Where's the offense there. It's just people being I remember you show extra careful. 00:09:44 Speaker 5: Samurai Japan is the official nickname for the Japan national baseball team. 00:09:48 Speaker 2: That's what I mean, right, Like, So, how could that be offensive in any way? I think they're just trying trying to overcorrect. 00:09:55 Speaker 1: Rich. You're saying that it's swung back to normal. Not yet it has to Yeah, not yet. 00:09:59 Speaker 3: If this is a story, I guess what we're doing is we're trying to swing things like where people have may have gotten. We realized that maybe people are a little too insensitive back in the day, then it became whatever you said was wrong. Now I feel like we're hitting some nice, normal middle ground. Kavino, I remember you send me a clip. Cavino, if you don't know, is Mexican. My mom is American. No, yeah, I'm half Cavino. He's my favorite Vato and I remember you sent me a clip where. 00:10:28 Speaker 1: He could do that. He's Mexican. That's the reason we're going to debut Big Poppy Baseball Trivia next Yeah, yes, the reason that I GREETO from time to time. 00:10:36 Speaker 3: Hi, Hi, So I remember you sent me a clip maybe a couple of years back, where it was single Demayo and it was a bunch of people wearing sombreros, white people, and they asked Mexican people in the community, are you offended? 00:10:53 Speaker 1: And not one Mexican person was offended. 00:10:55 Speaker 3: Then they asked him like, old white lady, like looks nice, it looks good. 00:11:00 Speaker 1: Like it? 00:11:00 Speaker 3: They asked some lady and the old white lady's like, it's terrible. 00:11:04 Speaker 1: It's like a nice. 00:11:05 Speaker 2: Culture appropriations, Like what do we what do we care if she's offended? That was a really funny clip. Bridge is dead on. So it's people celebrating the culture, right, a bunch of white people celebrating culture. 00:11:18 Speaker 1: So they ask Mexicans, how do you feel? We think it's great? Remember great? Remember Vin Scully's famous call when Fernando vellen Swale through his No hitter, if you have a sombrero, throw it to the sky. If you have a sombrero, throw it to the guy. I guess an announcer couldn't do that, now, you know. 00:11:38 Speaker 3: If you're a fan of Gwen Stefani and no doubt, do you remember she got a lot of crap for really leaning into the Japanese culture and it was like she was wearing a kimono and it's like she's celebrating. 00:11:49 Speaker 2: I would love for your your You're giving respect to it, you're giving props to it. I mean, I don't care, but do you understand, like if you were to go to another country out of curiosity, out of learning, and out of respect and you're like, I'm wearing a kimono, I'm in Japan and someone's like. 00:12:04 Speaker 1: Got that off, Like I don't get it. I don't get it even a little bit. 00:12:08 Speaker 3: And to me, this is the I'm so curious to see how this story unfolds, because if it's a nothing burger, I'm happy because that just means were As of. 00:12:19 Speaker 2: Now, again, white Sox officials are not pleased. They they they're putting a stop to this. 00:12:24 Speaker 5: Wait, so you mentioned you dropped a name earlier when you said an individual person was not okay with this. 00:12:29 Speaker 1: Who was that again? It was Gordon Beckham. Let me is that a player on the team. No, no, no, let me. 00:12:34 Speaker 2: Get his official It was Karen Thompson. No, I'll find his official title for you in a second, which. 00:12:39 Speaker 3: By the way, you want to hear a fun fact, not one child the United States was named Karen. 00:12:43 Speaker 1: Last year we ruined that name? Are you sure about that? Pretty sure? 00:12:47 Speaker 3: No? I was under seven, it was like under six, but I feel like there was no number. No one could find a baby named Karen boy bummer, real real, real tragedy. But yeah, So anyway, moving along. But I just thought it was an interesting thought that if this is a nothing burger, it's a good sign. But if someone's upset about this, I'm curious what actually the player himself more comedy says, because that's a pretty cool ass nickname. I bet you merchandise will be sold out the es with that phrase on it. The Old Wazoo, the Old Wazoo. So your thoughts again at Covin and Rich and you know we're gonna do coming up. This is a lot of fun. We do it every Friday. It's a game that sweeping the nation. It's called Brainwave. This is where you answer question. You got to decide are you on our brainwave? Can you match our answers? If you do, you win a prize, a little prize pack filled with goodies just for you. 00:13:41 Speaker 2: It garnered an outsized reaction from analyst Cordon Beckham on the Chicago Sports Network telecast. 00:13:48 Speaker 5: So he was reacting in real time to his I guess and White Sox broadcaster associate Aggress reports that White Sox officials were not pleased with the nickname, so much so that it is not expected to be again for the risk of potentially offending viewers. 00:14:02 Speaker 1: Well, you know what, you know what Big Mike said? Who runs this place? Like Big Mike, He's like, oh, we ask you, who are you to say? Who can we offend it? And I go, I don't know, me, I guess, I don't know, but that is I mean, it's a great point. 00:14:16 Speaker 2: I point we'd have to ask some Japanese people to be fair, like how do you feel about it? 00:14:20 Speaker 3: But my point was the only person that could be offended, the only person I would care if they were offended, is if the Japanese player himself was like, yeah, I find if he said I find this nickname disrespectful, then you know what I would say, I don't like it. Yeah, I'd say don't like it. I would say, don't call him that. But im I just not like the ring of it. But if some like you know, old faux twitter OUTRAGINGO. Yeah, if like some old complainers, some old lady was like, I don't like it. 00:14:46 Speaker 1: Well, what do you care what she thinks if fels cool with it? 00:14:51 Speaker 2: Yeah, so that's the story as of now Your thoughts eight seven seven ninety nine on Fox and even better, you can call that number now if you want to play brain Waves, the game that sweep in the nation, and it's very interactive. It's it's very visual as well, So more reason to check us out and check out Rich's short shorts. 00:15:10 Speaker 3: Man and Rich episode. He's right though, my wife bought me. Honestly, my hoodie looks like it's covered. It looks like I'm not wearing pants. Besides that hot topic, I got to mention. Over sleeping was the other one. Rich said he doesn't believe in it. Yeah, d Gaszard. In our YouTube channel, he said, oversleeping is a mental error, just like always forgetting Show and Tell. Set a reminder, Rick. 00:15:57 Speaker 3: Can I tell you he's one hundred percent right guilty at charged? I forget Show and Tell because I told you last week I was playing whiffle ball make it in the driveway and I'm like, oh man, I gotta get to work. 00:16:05 Speaker 1: I forgot. That's on me. You just need to try and match the brain of CNR and the crew. Gonna get our contestant on the studio lines right now, and then I'll explain the rules. Jackson in Naples, Florida was the first three. What up? Jackson? Jackson? Hey get waited? Jackson? Hey? Hey looks Maxon like my guy, Jackson Jackson? What do you do for work there in Naples? Don't work? Oh? Are you a student? Yeah? Okay? He sounded young to me. His name's Jackson. 00:20:24 Speaker 3: That's a gay yeah, like Connor by the way, Connor Griffin. I'd reposted on my Instagram story his first hit. Watching his family cry, I said, makes you realize I love baseball. 00:20:36 Speaker 1: It's just like just something about it. Man. All right, I have five rounds ready to go. Here are contestant. Jackson needs to win two of them to be the champ and walk away with a c NR prize pack. 00:20:44 Speaker 8: Let's go. 00:20:45 Speaker 1: I'm going to ask a question and then give three debatable answers to choose from the six of us in studio. Are going to write down our answers on these dry erase boards for our YouTube channel, and then on the counter of three, Jackson's gonna shout out his answer. He has to match with four out of the six of us to win the round or no matter his answer. If all six of us happened to match, it's an automatic round for him. All right, All right, here, oh round one, you guys ready, Yeah, let's start with the Animal Kingdom. If you were at the zoo with your family and one of these animals escaped, which would scare you the most? A lion, A grizzly bear or a gorilla. Oh man, if you were at the zoo, answer and one of these animals escaped, which would scare you more? A lion, a grizzly bear, or a gorilla. We're all answering on our dry erase boards. Everybody locked in for the first were the first couple again sitting lyon grizzly bear? Got you okay? All right, now we need your answer, Jackson on the count of three, one, two, three. 00:21:49 Speaker 7: Gorilla? 00:21:50 Speaker 1: Who says gorilla? Steve Covino, We start with you mcgilla, gorilla, bro Yo rip Hiambi all right, Rich, I follow some dude on social media. Do you guys know who Coyote Peterson is. He's a dude that like purposely gets stung by like scorpions and bees, and he like gets real up close with that. Oh Coyote Peterson. Never heard of him, Never heard of great guy. 00:22:17 Speaker 3: But anyway, I just yesterday saw the only animal he won't do I guess like a bit with is gorillas because they're so dangerous. 00:22:28 Speaker 5: You go, all right, by the way, great line of work he's in there, really, Coyote Peterson, No, I'm joking, what is he? 00:22:34 Speaker 1: Doing what look him up? No, I refuse all right, sorry, Chris off to you. No, No, I'm going to ruin this though. 00:22:41 Speaker 7: So I've got lion Ian partly partly my NFL legion, also partly because it is genuinely a predator. Is really what they're gonna eat. They're gonna eat some like let us out there or something. 00:22:53 Speaker 1: I don't all right, yeah, I went lying nothing wrong, you know, because of the size and speed, I said, grizzly. Wow, that's that's my option too, That was those things are tough. A gorilla will rip your arms. I feel like a gorilla would be distracted very easily, like rich, you know, like a lot going on, and like wouldn't directly go at the human. He'd have other things on his mind. Sam, what did you say? All right, well, we're. 00:23:21 Speaker 5: Past the point of him getting a point for this, But I said, gorilla man, we. 00:23:25 Speaker 1: Started off so strong. Hey, sorry, Jack, Sorry, he's got a few rounds left here, all right, Round two. Let's go to the sports category. Who would you have a better chance of scoring a bucket on during a game of one on one? Lebron, James Kawhi, Leonard or Kevin Durant. Who would you have a better chance of scoring a bucket on during a game of one on one, Lebron, Kawhi or k D. Yeah, it's a tough one. We have a fourth options none. 00:23:56 Speaker 7: I was gonna say no one here, that somebody could get lucky in school. 00:24:01 Speaker 1: I've got an answer. I like this, all right, So we're writing our answers down right now. Let me know when you're locked in, locked, lock in, everybody locked? Yeah, we're locked in, all right, Jackson, Jackson, we need your answer on the count of three, one, two, three, Kawhi, he says, Kawhi. We go in reverse order, now, Iowa, Samuel, what say you? 00:24:21 Speaker 5: Well, only because of this man's age, not because of his ability, I said Lebron. 00:24:26 Speaker 1: But he's still pretty spry for a forty two year old. Whatever he is. He could unk the hell out of you. Yeah, they all would. 00:24:32 Speaker 3: I think there are times Lebron looks soft on defense, but that's by choice. 00:24:36 Speaker 1: I think if he locked in, they're all done. They're all great defenders, but Kauhi is not as explosive as he used to be. I think you could maybe score one, all right, what'd you say, Shay? 00:24:48 Speaker 5: Yeah? 00:24:48 Speaker 8: No, I'm going against Katie. I'm not going against a guy named the King Law. 00:24:52 Speaker 1: I think kat would probably be the hardest. I don't know. 00:24:57 Speaker 8: Don't let it comes to defense and all that when you're actually trying one hundred lebron and Kawhi easily, I'm not doing that. 00:25:04 Speaker 1: What do you think, Profet? Well? 00:25:07 Speaker 7: I wrote down Kawhi Leonard because I think he'll be load managing by about like halfway possession and they're just gonna free bucket. 00:25:13 Speaker 1: You know, what are you gonna do? Rich David? 00:25:16 Speaker 3: I spelled it like Hawaii. I realize that now. 00:25:22 Speaker 1: Is that three points? So who said Kawhi? I did? I did? And yeah, it comes down to Steve. 00:25:30 Speaker 2: I was thinking the same as Profet, like, is he even playing Kawhi? 00:25:36 Speaker 1: Nice? All right, Jackson, you win that round half halfway to a CNR prize pack. Let's get to round three. All right, let's go the relationship category. Oh you find out one of these things about a woman you're in a serious relationship with, which is worse? Oh? This is a good one. I already love it. Let's I know the number one answer? She dated? Rich David? I guess you could ever stack up about that. Which of these is worse? She made out once with a coworker, She's been emotionally wrapped up in long emails with a co worker, Or she went out to a couple of lunches with a coworker who likes her. Which is worse? Which was worse? Yeah? She made out? She made out? She made out once with a coworker. Now is this while you're all dating her? These are all yeah when you're a serious relationship work made out with a coworker, emotionally wrapped up in long emails with a coworker, or she went out on a couple of lunches with a coworker who likes her, Right, think about it. We're all writing answers down and Steve, we're going to start with you as soon as Jackson gives us his answer on the counter of three one two three oh. The first one made out once? All right, Covino, let's say you. I'm with you. 00:26:54 Speaker 2: My immaturity and my machismo kicks in, and the physical connection there bothers me. 00:27:00 Speaker 1: The most made out with Chad from work, Rich Davis. I thought about this long and hard, unlike my short switcher short. 00:27:10 Speaker 3: I thought about this because I was like, you know what, the real answer is probably the emotional connection of the emails or the lunch is whatever. 00:27:18 Speaker 1: Yeah, but you could find of stop. The emotional connection on the emails is probably the answer. But I'm a comino. 00:27:23 Speaker 3: There's still something about like, well, did you physically do it made out? 00:27:26 Speaker 1: I know it might be an immature answer, but all right. 00:27:30 Speaker 7: I'm going with Rich's first instinct. And also because I remember on Twitter, one of the founding documents was that email of the guy sending it to a husband of a woman saying, there's no good way to rape. Talk about this with you. I'm moving close to your family to be with your wife. That was done over an email. Emails are nothing but trouble. 00:27:49 Speaker 3: I feel like, honestly, like if you told me the girl women in the emotional connection, that's what I'm saying wrong. Like if you told me, like the girl you were dating, real talk, if she made out with the dude wants you might forgive her. If she's been emailing a guy long term, and it's because like she it's like. 00:28:03 Speaker 1: In the ball made out, like who cares? Yeah, yeah, it's still bothering me. Yeah, I put makeout. 00:28:11 Speaker 8: I don't know if you're emailing someone at my age, I feel like that's a nick. 00:28:16 Speaker 1: I'm not gonna do that. 00:28:18 Speaker 7: I don't know what kind of emails you've gotten shown or just with you guys, so I don't know. 00:28:23 Speaker 1: I'm not flirting. We know guys. Wait, yeah, we need one more. You know. I was torn on this the same way you were rich because yeah, emotionally, she's probably talking crap about you to the guy too. 00:28:35 Speaker 3: Yeah, he knows a lot about its probably like, yeah, my husband doesn't do what you do and you're like, oh. 00:28:40 Speaker 1: Boy, yeah, but still the makeout's worse. So he wins that round. Congratulations Jackson, saman what you have? 00:28:50 Speaker 5: By the way, girl, I did go with the long emails, but it doesn't matter what I think, because hey, guys, one. 00:28:56 Speaker 1: Could do one more round just for fun or what put an extra prize in his price package in some extra koozies? How about that? Yeah? All right? Cool you down, Jackson? Or what you okay? One pair of short shorts? All right, Jackson, here's a bonus round for you. Let's go to the HR category. And I'm not talking home run. I didn't do it. What's the bigger sign? That you're about to be fired. You start being micro managed, You're being left out of the loop, and decision making or projects are taken away in your role shrinks. Which of those is the bigger sign you're about to be fired? You start being micro managed, You're being left out of the loop and decision making or projects are taken away from you and your role shrinks. We're all writing our answers. D oh, everybody locked in? Yep? Locked in? All right? Cool? And Jackson, what do you think on the counter of three one two three, the second one second one? You say you're being left out of the loop and decision making. All right, we're gonna start with you, Io, sam Well, I went. 00:30:07 Speaker 5: With projects taken away and rolled, diminished or gone. 00:30:11 Speaker 1: That's a bad sign, you know, Jackson, you get a point for me because I put out of the loop. 00:30:16 Speaker 8: Wow, all right, Shay, I have never been in the loop, so that doesn't mean anything. But yeah, if I get anything taken away, that's a bad sign. 00:30:27 Speaker 7: Okay, perfect, Okay, So when you're getting put out of loop, that just could be people mean with you. 00:30:33 Speaker 1: What was the first one? Again? 00:30:34 Speaker 7: It was it was it was micromanaged, It was being micromanaged. That could just be someone having a bad day. But no one is trying to do more work willingly for no reason. So when they start taking off your plate and putting on theirs, that's real trouble. So when projects get taken away, that's my answer. 00:30:50 Speaker 1: All right, so mathematically is out of it. What'd you say, though, Rich? What was the question again? 00:30:54 Speaker 2: Though? 00:30:55 Speaker 1: Okay, what's the bigger sign that you're about to be fired? 00:30:57 Speaker 3: The bigger sign you're about to I initially put down someone's mad that you were sleeping with the interns, But that wasn't a choice, so I put. 00:31:05 Speaker 1: Projects taken away? 00:31:06 Speaker 5: I thought, yeah, or sleep with internh Yeah, I just made out with the interne. 00:31:10 Speaker 2: Yeah, drink shrinkage equals bad projects taken away. 00:31:16 Speaker 1: That's a bad sign. 00:31:17 Speaker 5: Yeah, so you're becoming Milton in office space. They're moving you to the basement. They're like, go ahead and take care of these bugs for us. 00:31:26 Speaker 1: Hey, but Jackson, you want congratulations, Happy Friday, Happy holidays, Appreciate you, buddy. 00:31:34 Speaker 3: Enjoy your March madness, enjoy your final four, enjoy some baseball, Enjoy all that. And let's go to profet for an update. And then we will let you know what to watch this weekend. We got weekend hob Nobbin coming up. What's up for fet? 00:31:44 Speaker 7: Well, guys, this news just coming down, and one thing you might not want to be watching this this report. Lakers fans turn away Luka. Doncic is out indefinitely due to a left hamstring injury. The MRI results came back. He has no timetable to return, but it is almost guaranteed that he will miss the remainder of the regular season. At sixty four games played, he will fall one short of eligibility for MVB. 00:32:08 Speaker 3: That's just going to ask you, befet I said, any like all NBA or any of the. 00:32:12 Speaker 7: Awards played sixty four games, he would have to play one more, Just one more question. 00:32:17 Speaker 1: Yeah, would it be a bush league move or not? 00:32:20 Speaker 3: If the Lakers suited him up, he took the floor and then just immediately left the game, is that bush league or not? 00:32:26 Speaker 1: I don't think. 00:32:27 Speaker 7: I don't think that qualifies for him. Now there is I haven't read the full article yet, but I think David Menneman and a few others are posting there are some extraordinary circumstances that would make him eligible again. I unfortunately do not have those off the top of my cuff right now. Do you know what? 00:32:45 Speaker 1: You know what it is? 00:32:45 Speaker 3: It's like it's like if a guy is, you know, short of a like a in the NFL at the end of the year, like some incentive. Sometimes they'll be like, yeah, you were within two yards. Don't you feel like one game? I would think so. So I think this rule is kind of rough. I am like looking up right now. So the extraordinary circumstances challenge what the Lakers could do? The language is it was impractical for the player to play in one or more games they missed due to extraordinary circumstance. The player would have played at least sixty five games if he had played in every game he missed due to extraordinary circumstance. As a result of the extraordinary circumstance and taking into account the totality of the circumstance, I'm sorry, I'm saying this word a lot. It would be unjust to exclude the player from award eligibility. I don't know if an injury. 00:33:30 Speaker 7: Curious to Saul, let's get to the Edwards also got excluded from eligibility last night when he sat out against the Pistons. So the MVP field is shrinking. What's not shrinking? President Donald Trump signed an executive order on Friday aiming to limit college athletes to five years of eligibility and one transfer between schools and maximum The NCAA President Baker praised the move a lot of According to ESPN, SO reporting from Dan Murphy quote, multiple lawyers who work with colleges in their athletes hold ESPN the judges would rule the President's order to be unconstitutional and unenforceable if challenged in court. 00:34:07 Speaker 1: So nothing, I'm not. I'm not a Trump hater or lover. I just wonder what does he have to do with this? I don't know. He just like college sports. It's my domain. You gotta you had a chance to weigh in on something. Did he have to do with Tiger Woods? Phone callsident? Just just talking to the President's what I do. Wouldn't have to do with the accident. 00:34:29 Speaker 7: The Jacksonville Jaguars and Edge rusher Trayvon Walker greeted terms on a four year, one hundred and ten million dollar extension for the former first overall pick. The associated press name Duke forward Cameron Boozer as Men's basketball National Player of the Year Baseball Scoreboard. The Pittsburgh Pirates are on their way, trying to claim victory over the Oriels five to three. Top of the eighth inning. The Dodgers demolished the Nationals thirteen to six. Detroit shut out Saint Louis for zero. Boston snapped their five game losing streak with a five to win over the San Diego Padres and the Yankees and make their record the best in Major League Baseball with an eight to two victory over the Miami Marlins. No, Rich and Steve, it's been great. I'll see star side, see you per Fred. 00:35:14 Speaker 3: See you body, and starting to We're only seven games the season and I'm starting to regret the bet I made with you. 00:35:21 Speaker 1: Oh yeah, and that's our three and four. Yankees are six and one. 00:35:24 Speaker 2: We have a thousand dollars bet who has the best record this season, the Yankees or the Mets. It's officially but not looking good so far, but great to see it.
