We Had No Neighbors, Except for the Sasquatch - My Bigfoot Sighting Episode 147
Tonight’s first guest had her Bigfoot sighting in the late 70’s, while she was growing up, fairly close to Grants Pass, Oregon. You see, she and her family lived deep in the mountains. Their closest neighbor was about 2 miles away. The day tonight’s guest had her sighting, her mom, her best friend, her little sister, and her best friend were all sitting in the living room, talking, when they all heard a thump on the roof of their double wide trailer. At first, they all assumed that the noise had been caused by one of the trees or plants that were next to their trailer. Seconds later, it became clear to all of them that that wasn’t the case.
Tonight’s second sighting happened in Leeds, Maine, in May of 2021, when tonight’s second group of guests, Dave Benner and his son Isaiah, were riding home from a trip to look at an ATV they were thinking about buying. They had been on the road home for two to three hours when the sighting happened. Isaiah saw the Sasquatch. His father, Dave, didn’t see it. Due to that sighting, both of them started researching Sasquatch. In the second segment, not only will they be talking about what happened that evening, at sunset, when they had that encounter, they’ll also be talking about the research they’ve done as well.
Dave is a field researcher for the Maine Bigfoot Foundation and he's in the process of producing a full-length feature documentary, called “Bigfoot: Maine’s Secret Cryptid.” For the past few months, Dave has been going around, interviewing eyewitnesses, collecting their encounters for the documentary. <v Speaker 1>Hey, you there, thanks for tuning in. <v Speaker 2>You're ready for another episode of my big Foot Sighting. <v Speaker 3>All right, then let's do this. <v Speaker 4>Seen a bunch of run down, no horse towns where <v Speaker 4>the church at the backbone lows and the bow and <v Speaker 4>the fasting melodies cove in with the bomb man rose, <v Speaker 4>with the roofs run deep beyond the nose of the <v Speaker 4>busy streets, with the songs of the South of su <v Speaker 4>Then when I hear the promp porch picking down home <v Speaker 4>rhythm bringing out I Don't Run from Benjam music. <v Speaker 3>Yeah, if you've had a bigfoot sighting and would like <v Speaker 3>to be a guest, please go to my Bigfoot Sighting <v Speaker 3>dot com and let me know. <v Speaker 5>Big foot sighting happened in the late seventies. We lived <v Speaker 5>in Grand's Pass, Oregon, out in the mountains. I mean <v Speaker 5>we lived miles out into the mountains. I mean our <v Speaker 5>nearest neighbor was probably maybe two miles away. It was me, <v Speaker 5>my mom, my best friend, my little sister, and her <v Speaker 5>best friend and we were in a trailer that had <v Speaker 5>some big bay windows in the front. We were all <v Speaker 5>sitting in the living room watching TV and talking and <v Speaker 5>we heard a thump on top of our double wide trailer. Now, <v Speaker 5>these double white trailers are like houses. So the thump <v Speaker 5>happened and we kind of looked up towards the ceiling. <v Speaker 5>We were thinking maybe one of the plants hit the wall. <v Speaker 5>But the next second we heard big footsteps from something <v Speaker 5>that was bipedal with two steps, with two steps, this <v Speaker 5>thing went one two and this whatever. Of course, to <v Speaker 5>me it was bigfoot, since I seen him was with <v Speaker 5>two steps that he took, he was already in the <v Speaker 5>middle of our trailer. It stopped. My mom grabbed our <v Speaker 5>rifle and opened up the door. Well, when she went <v Speaker 5>to open up the door, we got a really bad <v Speaker 5>whiff of To me, it kind of smelled like a <v Speaker 5>wet dog. I never asked anybody else what they thought <v Speaker 5>of the smell, But the smell actually came in when <v Speaker 5>she opened up the sliding door and she had the <v Speaker 5>rifle and she yelled outside, whoever it is, I have <v Speaker 5>a rifle and I know how to use it, which <v Speaker 5>she did. I mean, she was on the Sheriff's reserve <v Speaker 5>a couple years earlier than that. Anyways, he turned around <v Speaker 5>here she and with two steps walked back to the <v Speaker 5>end of the trailer. Well, I ran to the bay windows, <v Speaker 5>and we had these long curtains. I opened up the <v Speaker 5>curtains and the way our trailer was set. Our light <v Speaker 5>to our porch was on the opposite side where the <v Speaker 5>sliding door was, so it was a little bit dark, <v Speaker 5>but you could still see a little bit with a light. <v Speaker 5>This thing jumped off of this double wide trailer like <v Speaker 5>you were walking off of a step. My mom had <v Speaker 5>a seventies dots in the station wagon back in that time, <v Speaker 5>and when it landed, it landed right next to my <v Speaker 5>mom's car, and I remember thinking, man, that's big, because <v Speaker 5>the top of that car itself was a good, i <v Speaker 5>don't know, five feet off the ground, and this thing <v Speaker 5>was probably maybe two and a half three feet taller <v Speaker 5>than the car. I didn't see no facial features, because <v Speaker 5>as I mentioned before, it was dark, but I did <v Speaker 5>see the complete outline of him. His arms were all <v Speaker 5>the way down to his knees, and he took a <v Speaker 5>step with his left foot, and then he just kind <v Speaker 5>of turned around and looked at me. I mean, we <v Speaker 5>locked eyes for sure. It felt like he stood there <v Speaker 5>for a long time, but of course it was only <v Speaker 5>mere seconds. He looked at me and turned and walked away, <v Speaker 5>walked away into the mountains. We then called the sheriff's department, <v Speaker 5>and about six cars show up, light flashing the whole thing, <v Speaker 5>which we thought was kind of odd, you know. I mean, <v Speaker 5>when you call the sheriff's I mean, even back then, <v Speaker 5>you probably get one car, but we had several cars <v Speaker 5>flying down our long long we had a really long, <v Speaker 5>long dirt road. We later found out that there was <v Speaker 5>some ranchers in the area that had sightings of something, <v Speaker 5>you know. Of course it was never printed of what, <v Speaker 5>but I think it kind of coincides with the siding <v Speaker 5>that we had because I did talk to one of <v Speaker 5>the officers. I don't remember the exact you know, because <v Speaker 5>I didn't even know what bigfoot was back then. I <v Speaker 5>mean I was young, I was in the sixth grade. <v Speaker 5>I'd never read about it, and you know, i'd never <v Speaker 5>heard about it. You know. All I could tell him <v Speaker 5>is that he was big, hairy. His hair was probably <v Speaker 5>about two to three, maybe four inches long. I could <v Speaker 5>see his a little bit of his fingers, but again <v Speaker 5>it was kind of dark. I didn't see any facial features, <v Speaker 5>but I remember that's all I could tell the officer <v Speaker 5>at the time. So that was my sighting again. That <v Speaker 5>happened in the late seventies. About eighty six were Native <v Speaker 5>American and my aunt and my two cousins were on <v Speaker 5>their way back from the reservation that's located in Chiliquin <v Speaker 5>and Oregon. They were coming through a place called They <v Speaker 5>were on their way to Cave Junction, which is very <v Speaker 5>mountainous out there. I know there's been a few sightings <v Speaker 5>out there as well. What my cousin and my aunt <v Speaker 5>told me is they came up over one of the <v Speaker 5>little hills and right in front of them. It was <v Speaker 5>late I think they said it was probably like ten <v Speaker 5>ten thirty one. A big foot walked right I mean <v Speaker 5>this out in the middle of nowhere, so you know <v Speaker 5>there's not going to be a person in a big <v Speaker 5>suit walking across this highway where you can I mean, <v Speaker 5>you have people doing like seventy miles an hour. Walked <v Speaker 5>right in front of him. He walked across the road, stopped, <v Speaker 5>and then he turned around to watch them pass. Dave <v Speaker 5>said that they had the long hair. He's probably about <v Speaker 5>six to seven feet tall. My aunt slowed down, but <v Speaker 5>the boys told her not to stop. Of course, he <v Speaker 5>just kind of looked at them and walked off. The <v Speaker 5>third thing that I have is there's been a lot <v Speaker 5>of sidings up at our reservation in Chiliquin. They've been <v Speaker 5>one of the Bigfoot series. I don't know if it <v Speaker 5>was a finding bigfoot. I think they also had went <v Speaker 5>up there to investigate. But my dad my brother were <v Speaker 5>up camping. And when my dad went up there, he <v Speaker 5>went up there for weeks at a time, so it wasn't, <v Speaker 5>you know, just one overnight camping. I mean they would <v Speaker 5>stay for weeks. My brother, Tea, that's what we call him, <v Speaker 5>was in his tent and it was late. My dad <v Speaker 5>was in a trailer that they had pulled up there, <v Speaker 5>and Tea said that he could hear trees, little trees <v Speaker 5>breaking and branches and it's a mess up there. And <v Speaker 5>it was something upright with two feet and it walked <v Speaker 5>up to his tent and he said that the back <v Speaker 5>of his hairs on his neck stood up and he's like, <v Speaker 5>I have never been so scared as I was at <v Speaker 5>that instant. He said that he had his rifle next <v Speaker 5>to them. He said that he was like in a <v Speaker 5>daze that he could not even pick up that rifle. <v Speaker 5>He said because he knew it wasn't a bear or <v Speaker 5>a deer or anything else. He said it had to <v Speaker 5>be something different. He could hear it breathing really loud, <v Speaker 5>and yeah, he just told me that he was scared. <v Speaker 5>He didn't even want to pick up the rifle. He said, <v Speaker 5>I was just terrified. And then whatever it was stood <v Speaker 5>there for a few seconds and then just turn around <v Speaker 5>and walked off. He stayed up the rest of the night, <v Speaker 5>of course, and then when Dad, my dad, got up <v Speaker 5>out of the trailer, he said, hey, Dad, you know, <v Speaker 5>I think I had a visit last night. And Dad, <v Speaker 5>you know, oh, no, it was probably a deer. No, <v Speaker 5>it wasn't a deer. So they backtracked and found some <v Speaker 5>tracks on a muddy little slope. There's all kinds of <v Speaker 5>slopes up there on the reservations. It's just all hills <v Speaker 5>and anyways, they found a couple prints up there, from <v Speaker 5>what they know is bigfoot prints. I think Dad said <v Speaker 5>that they measured it and it was probably about sixteen <v Speaker 5>seventeen feet long, very indented, probably about an inch and <v Speaker 5>a half. I don't think they cast it or anything, <v Speaker 5>but I was one siding at the reservation. The next <v Speaker 5>sighting happened. My brother was up there again at a <v Speaker 5>different time with his fiance and they decided to go <v Speaker 5>up to this one ridge that he had never been up, <v Speaker 5>and he said that they started hearing footsteps and something <v Speaker 5>was following them, but it was kind of parallel, you know. <v Speaker 5>I'm like maybe trying to watch what they were doing <v Speaker 5>or where they were going. And he said they got <v Speaker 5>up to the ridge and up on this flat hill thing. <v Speaker 5>He said that there was prints up there. But what <v Speaker 5>he also said is that there was one big round <v Speaker 5>spot a burnt grass and I don't know what the diameters. <v Speaker 5>He said was pretty big. But he didn't hear anything <v Speaker 5>else any more footsteps after that. But what he was <v Speaker 5>telling me is that he was amazed because, I mean, <v Speaker 5>there's this big round burnt spot up there, and he's like, <v Speaker 5>to me, it looked like something had landed, and then <v Speaker 5>there was prints all the way around whatever was up there. <v Speaker 5>I mean, you know, it could have been anything, but <v Speaker 5>he just thought it was kind of weird that there <v Speaker 5>was prints around this big round circle. So I mentioned <v Speaker 5>before that were native and I have a couple cousins <v Speaker 5>that go up in the mountains sometimes to look for well, <v Speaker 5>different kind of berries that they use for medicine, and <v Speaker 5>there's a certain area over on the side of Cape <v Speaker 5>Junction that they go up to pick these wild berries. <v Speaker 5>And he said that one time they had went up <v Speaker 5>there and something had followed them back to the car. <v Speaker 5>They'd never seen what it was, but they had a <v Speaker 5>wild guess, and I guess my ann or somebody had <v Speaker 5>mentioned before that they thought one of the bigfoots lived <v Speaker 5>up there or whatnot. They I don't know what they <v Speaker 5>call it in our language. So the next time my <v Speaker 5>two cousins went up there, they decided, I think it <v Speaker 5>was like the next year, they decided to take some <v Speaker 5>fresh fruit, and at that time pears were in in seasons. <v Speaker 5>So they stopped at roadside market over in Selma and <v Speaker 5>picked up some pears, and they went up to where <v Speaker 5>they had found like a log, but it looks like <v Speaker 5>something had dugs something underneath, maybe to sleep in sit in, <v Speaker 5>who knows. They went ahead and they left these pears there, <v Speaker 5>but he said when they turned around to leave, something <v Speaker 5>followed them out, something on two legs followed them out. Anyways, <v Speaker 5>they left, and then I believed he said, the next <v Speaker 5>week they came back. They brought more fruit. <v Speaker 1>Well. <v Speaker 5>He said that they went back about three or four times. <v Speaker 5>Every time they went back they took fruit with them. <v Speaker 5>Something would leave them a little gift, and the fruit <v Speaker 5>would be gone. He said, sometime it would be like <v Speaker 5>a beautiful little rock. Another time he said there was <v Speaker 5>an old mason jar from the nineteen hundreds that was <v Speaker 5>left there. Another time he went up, he said that <v Speaker 5>it left them kind of like a woven stick, pieces <v Speaker 5>of branches or stick that were woven together and some <v Speaker 5>kind of some metrical I don't know. He didn't know <v Speaker 5>what it was. But and then the last time that <v Speaker 5>they went up, they actually seeing something following them back. <v Speaker 5>When they turned back to look, it kind of stuck <v Speaker 5>its head out and looked at him. And then that's <v Speaker 5>really when they realized they kind of knew already by <v Speaker 5>the little gifts. But then, you you know, who knows. <v Speaker 5>It could be some mountain people or whatever. But they <v Speaker 5>were getting ready to get in the truck, and my <v Speaker 5>other cousin turned around and told him to look, and <v Speaker 5>they turned around and they seen him peeking out behind <v Speaker 5>a tree. He said that he was probably about I'm <v Speaker 5>thinking like between five to six feet, so maybe a juvenile. <v Speaker 5>I don't know. I don't know how tall they get, <v Speaker 5>but they realize that every time that they went to <v Speaker 5>go leave the fruit and then they would come back, <v Speaker 5>they would leave him a gift. So I mean he <v Speaker 5>would leave them a gift for you know, the offering <v Speaker 5>of the fruit that they left. But yeah, that's another <v Speaker 5>thing I just remembered as we were sitting out of <v Speaker 5>pow while talking about it one day. But yeah, that's <v Speaker 5>my sightings. I know that there's been sightings up at <v Speaker 5>the reservation of lights, I know, and finding Bigfoot. They <v Speaker 5>went up there, they too encountered different lights and sounds <v Speaker 5>and something paralleling him, I think. But there was a <v Speaker 5>couple there's some other accounts that have happened up there <v Speaker 5>with you know, some of our tribe going up there <v Speaker 5>and hunting. But yeah, that's all I got. <v Speaker 2>My big Foot sighting happened in Weeds, Maine. <v Speaker 1>It was in May of Isaiah. What year was it. <v Speaker 2>In twenty twenty one? <v Speaker 1>Okay, and what time of day and what date was it? <v Speaker 2>It was at sunset May night, May ninth, twenty twenty one. <v Speaker 1>All right. My wife and I had ventured over to <v Speaker 1>the mountains to look for an ATV. You know, the <v Speaker 1>long drive didn't end up working out. So we were <v Speaker 1>driving back. We'd been out on the road two or <v Speaker 1>three hours, and we were starting to really get into <v Speaker 1>a discussion on the best way to get back on <v Speaker 1>to Route two O two, and so we were focused <v Speaker 1>kind of on the center console, looking at the navigation <v Speaker 1>and just trying to decide the best way home and <v Speaker 1>really engaged in conversation. At that point when I noticed <v Speaker 1>my son behind me had gone quiet. We kind of <v Speaker 1>spun around the best we could, and he was kind <v Speaker 1>of rocking back and forth a little bit, and he <v Speaker 1>seemed very very upset, and he started saying things just like, <v Speaker 1>is there a zoo around here? And I don't know <v Speaker 1>what I just saw? And then he'd almost cry and <v Speaker 1>then go back into it to the point where it <v Speaker 1>started freaking me out. And I pulled over and I <v Speaker 1>actually tried to spin around and did it in such <v Speaker 1>a manner that I ended up putting a little dent <v Speaker 1>in the corner of the tahoe that was pulling the <v Speaker 1>twelve foot trailer, even though the trailer was empty. I <v Speaker 1>just did it so quickly because I wanted to see <v Speaker 1>whatever it was he saw of course, when we got back, <v Speaker 1>you know, to the place where he had seen that, <v Speaker 1>there was nothing there at that point, and it was <v Speaker 1>you know, rather dark, but he was very disturbed, and <v Speaker 1>I'd like to say also for weeks, you know, and <v Speaker 1>really months afterwards. You know, at eleven years old, he <v Speaker 1>was very disturbed by it. He was very scared, needed <v Speaker 1>a lot of reinsurance. And this is a kid that <v Speaker 1>grew up since he was you know, when he was <v Speaker 1>three years old, I put him on a golf cart <v Speaker 1>and let him go through wooded paths, and then by <v Speaker 1>the time he was six, was out on a four <v Speaker 1>wheeler in the woods all the time. And you know, <v Speaker 1>a kid who'd been very comfortable with the main woods. <v Speaker 1>And it took several months to get us back to <v Speaker 1>that same place, if not, you know, a year or two. <v Speaker 1>Now Isaiah is really pursuing and trying to see one again. <v Speaker 1>You know, he's faced his fear. And he's fifteen now, <v Speaker 1>and isaiahy, don't you tell him what you saw? <v Speaker 2>Okay? <v Speaker 6>So as we were driving, I was on the left <v Speaker 6>side of the car looking out the window looking for <v Speaker 6>mountains and whatnot views because it was a pretty mountainous area. <v Speaker 6>And I saw something that wasn't supposed to be there <v Speaker 6>on the left side of the road, probably one hundred <v Speaker 6>feet away at max. There was this thing standing there <v Speaker 6>just right in front of someone's house, actually looking like <v Speaker 6>it was probably gone across road in a second, but <v Speaker 6>it got stopped when a car came out in front <v Speaker 6>of it. <v Speaker 2>And it looked very ape like. <v Speaker 6>Actually, it was kind of beige like the color of <v Speaker 6>a deer, had big brown eyes. And what stood out <v Speaker 6>to me by far the mouse was its mouse. It <v Speaker 6>looked like it had a very very large jaw. It <v Speaker 6>kind of looked like I had an evil smile almost, <v Speaker 6>which when I saw it at that age, it freaked <v Speaker 6>me out quite a bit because it didn't make any sense. <v Speaker 2>It was pretty sin for its size. <v Speaker 6>Still, I had really big broad shoulders, of course, but <v Speaker 6>for its size, you'd expect it to be a little <v Speaker 6>bit sicker, and it wasn't. <v Speaker 2>It was on the center side. <v Speaker 6>It kind of almost looked like I hadn't eaten in <v Speaker 6>a couple of weeks, is how I described it. Its <v Speaker 6>stomach kind of came down in like a v taper build. <v Speaker 6>It almost looked like you could make out bones on <v Speaker 6>the side of it, like it was really sen and <v Speaker 6>it didn't have any hair on its face, didn't have <v Speaker 6>any hair on its own stomach area. It'd actually make <v Speaker 6>out abdomen muscles. It didn't have long hair like some <v Speaker 6>people describe, probably an inch or two long at max. <v Speaker 6>I'm not sure why, but I can't exactly remember below <v Speaker 6>its stomach because I was so focused on its face. <v Speaker 6>I do remember that it's arms for long enough though <v Speaker 6>that I don't remember its hands. They came down too far. <v Speaker 6>I'd say it was at least nine feet tall, if <v Speaker 6>not ten. <v Speaker 1>Now talk more about the small now. When you had <v Speaker 1>told me about it, like you, you know you'd said <v Speaker 1>it was, it. <v Speaker 6>Looked like an almost ear to ear smile, freakishly big <v Speaker 6>and wide. <v Speaker 2>Really freaked me out. <v Speaker 1>It wasn't showing teeth though. These were purse lips, like <v Speaker 1>lips that were together. <v Speaker 2>Yeah, lips that were closed. <v Speaker 1>From ear to ear. Yes, Were you able to see <v Speaker 1>any ears or anything? <v Speaker 6>I can't remember that detail off the top of my <v Speaker 6>head right now. <v Speaker 1>What did it do as we came around the bend <v Speaker 1>and you saw it, you had described emotion that it did. <v Speaker 6>It did move a little, so I knew that it <v Speaker 6>wasn't a statue or something, just a little left to right, <v Speaker 6>very slight, tiny movement, but for the most part it <v Speaker 6>was standing still, and it kind of looked like it <v Speaker 6>was maybe pretending to be a tree or something. <v Speaker 2>It was frozen in place, like gets stiffened up or <v Speaker 2>what it do. <v Speaker 6>I I really don't know what it did. It just <v Speaker 6>looked like it was trying to pretend that it wasn't there, <v Speaker 6>even though it. <v Speaker 1>Was all right. Well, because I know, you know, your <v Speaker 1>mother and I we had you were really freaked out <v Speaker 1>for a long time, and I'm. <v Speaker 2>Still freaked out of the woods a little bit. <v Speaker 1>But you still go back. You enjoy big footing and <v Speaker 1>going out, and you know, we go to northern Maine. <v Speaker 1>We go all over the place and look for bigfoot <v Speaker 1>at night time too, with red lights, big red lights, <v Speaker 1>and find all kinds of clues. All right. Well, it <v Speaker 1>actually first came around with I wanted to get in <v Speaker 1>touch with the Main Bigfoot Foundation because I made a <v Speaker 1>decision to do a full length feature documentary on the subject, <v Speaker 1>and I'm planning on calling that Bigfoot Main's Secret Cryptid. <v Speaker 1>I've been going around and interviewing eyewitnesses for the past <v Speaker 1>few months and I have several wonderful stories to tell <v Speaker 1>of people who have had very similar to my son. <v Speaker 1>They saw something well beyond their experience and they have <v Speaker 1>a story to tell about it. So that's going to <v Speaker 1>be really interesting when it comes out. Because when you <v Speaker 1>look at Maine's population, you look at, you know, worried <v Speaker 1>about one point four million people, and almost everybody lives <v Speaker 1>in the lower end of the state. As you get <v Speaker 1>up into the northern part of the state, it's just <v Speaker 1>vast wilderness and forced in fact, main is ninety percent <v Speaker 1>forest if you count the lakes with it. That leaves <v Speaker 1>a lot of space for there to be an undiscovered <v Speaker 1>species or megafauna. And I really want to cover this <v Speaker 1>subject for the sake of my son and he saw, <v Speaker 1>to do it justice, to help him feel better about <v Speaker 1>what he saw, and to help others feel better about <v Speaker 1>what they see, because the first thing people like to do. <v Speaker 1>People are a little bit vicious in this respect. They <v Speaker 1>love to make fun of people that have seen something <v Speaker 1>that they don't understand and talk about it. And it's <v Speaker 1>always really you know, something that I've noticed, especially on <v Speaker 1>all the different you know, Facebook groups that I'm on, <v Speaker 1>is that somebody will put something up and everybody ridicules them. <v Speaker 1>And half of the people ridiculing them are people that <v Speaker 1>believe in Bigfoot in the first place. So I really <v Speaker 1>want to try to dispel that through this documentary. And <v Speaker 1>you know, I'm basically going to do a portion on <v Speaker 1>people who have seen it. I'm going to cover the <v Speaker 1>history of Bigfoot and Maine, and then maybe even cover <v Speaker 1>some of my expeditions going out there before we reach <v Speaker 1>a conclusion in that movie. Now, in the meantime, while <v Speaker 1>I was making that movie, I reached out to the <v Speaker 1>main Bigfoot Foundation because I wanted to go up there <v Speaker 1>and see if I couldn't film with them and do <v Speaker 1>a few expeditions with them. We went to Enchanted in <v Speaker 1>the West Forks in July and that was very interesting <v Speaker 1>and I do cover that on my YouTube channel. Since then, <v Speaker 1>we've gone to the Golden Road up near Kataden and <v Speaker 1>down on a very remote you know, seven miles down <v Speaker 1>a dirt road off of the Golden Road on a <v Speaker 1>little brook. We found some amazing footprints, I mean just <v Speaker 1>amazing in shallow water near overhanging cedars, you know, eighteen <v Speaker 1>to twenty inches long, two inches deep under the water, <v Speaker 1>with all kinds of shells around them and just some <v Speaker 1>amazing evidence. And I'd like to also mention that Janelle <v Speaker 1>Graph is to the president of that and I am <v Speaker 1>just you know, I have a background in corporate management, <v Speaker 1>and I am astounded with her level of leadership and <v Speaker 1>how wonderfully she leads that group. And then you have <v Speaker 1>the lead investigator, Mike vash On, and he's a heck <v Speaker 1>of a guy. Goodness, I mean, so much fun to <v Speaker 1>go out with, and he has so much knowledge on Bigfoot. <v Speaker 1>He had an amazing face to face encounter in Gardner, Maine. <v Speaker 1>And Janelle also had an amazing face to face encounter <v Speaker 1>as well at one point in her life, and so <v Speaker 1>it really qualifies them to lead such a group. And <v Speaker 1>then they do these expeditions and they're free, they're amazing. <v Speaker 1>You show up, you know, ten fifteen people show up, <v Speaker 1>We go out, We do a daytime expedition. We go <v Speaker 1>around whatever area we picked and they're usually extremely remote, <v Speaker 1>and we plan on camping overnight in that area, so <v Speaker 1>we all bring tents and then you know, about dinner time, <v Speaker 1>we break and they provide a full dinner for everybody. <v Speaker 1>They bring all, you know, all kinds of meat and <v Speaker 1>good food, and everybody has a nice meal together, and <v Speaker 1>then maybe a couple hours after that, when things get dark, <v Speaker 1>we go out and we do a nighttime expedition. Now <v Speaker 1>that is just a lot of fun because in some <v Speaker 1>of those remote places, I haven't been on one yet <v Speaker 1>that's been dead where we didn't get a whoop back <v Speaker 1>or find a footprint or something you know, uncanny or <v Speaker 1>just unexplained for a better word, it happened. So the <v Speaker 1>main Bigfoot Foundation is very real and a very good foundation. <v Speaker 1>I really think they do a great job. They people <v Speaker 1>reach out to them with sightings regularly, and they document <v Speaker 1>all that and you know, Mike Fashon does a great <v Speaker 1>job taking care of that database. So there is a <v Speaker 1>lot of evidence pointing to the fact that the Bigfoot <v Speaker 1>phenomena is real and happy all the time in Maine, <v Speaker 1>which brings me back to my first point of saying <v Speaker 1>one point four million people in this state and the <v Speaker 1>state's enormous, and so there's so much forest and yet <v Speaker 1>we're still having that many sightings. We're having sightings like <v Speaker 1>you know, like we're California or something. I mean, they're <v Speaker 1>all over the place. They keep popping up, So I <v Speaker 1>think Maine is the hotspot for America right now for Bigfoot. <v Speaker 1>I'm convinced of it. It's not just because I live here. <v Speaker 1>I've traveled all over the United States. I've spent time <v Speaker 1>with friends and you know, in the Everglades in Florida, <v Speaker 1>you know, all over California, all over Colorado and the mountains, <v Speaker 1>and I've never seen the Bigfoot culture that we have <v Speaker 1>here in Maine, and I think it's exploding and I <v Speaker 1>think it's contagious. Now that leads me from you know, <v Speaker 1>we talked about the documentary that I'm doing, which is <v Speaker 1>Bigfoot Main Secret Cryptid. We talked about the Main Bigfoot <v Speaker 1>Foundation and how they are part of of what I'm doing. <v Speaker 1>And now we can talk about my YouTube channel, which <v Speaker 1>is Bigfoot Expedition Slash Finding Sasquatch. It's brand new. I <v Speaker 1>just started it a week ago. We're only two episodes in, <v Speaker 1>but I believe we're starting a good following right now <v Speaker 1>and people are getting into it. You know, that starts <v Speaker 1>off with just you know, the first episode is just <v Speaker 1>me and gentlemen that I became friends with through the <v Speaker 1>main Bigfoot Foundation named Kevin, and we go out on <v Speaker 1>one in a really remote place in northern Maine and <v Speaker 1>some really strange things happened, but you could watch the <v Speaker 1>episode to see that. And then in episode number two, <v Speaker 1>that's a real focus on the main Bigfoot Foundation and <v Speaker 1>how they operate, and you even get a chance to meet, <v Speaker 1>you know, a full interview with Janelle Graff, who founded it. <v Speaker 1>I'm saving her eyewitness account for the documentary though isn't <v Speaker 1>in there. But there's a lot of good stuff. So really, <v Speaker 1>you know, the sky's the limit and I really just <v Speaker 1>want to be a big voice in bringing attention to <v Speaker 1>Bigfoot in Maine. I think it's a really positive thing <v Speaker 1>for the state, and I think it's a really positive <v Speaker 1>thing for anybody who gets into going to do it. <v Speaker 1>And I'll tell you why. You get to you know, now, <v Speaker 1>say somebody doesn't really believe in Bigfoot, or they're just <v Speaker 1>kind of open minded to it, like an agnostic, and <v Speaker 1>they want to, you know, spend more time with their family. <v Speaker 1>Will go take them on an expedition. You get to <v Speaker 1>camp all night, you get to do all kinds of <v Speaker 1>fun stuff and just be active and outdoors and the wilderness. <v Speaker 1>So it creates and promotes quality time within the family <v Speaker 1>as well, so I think it's a I think it's <v Speaker 1>a great thing, and I'm just really blessed and privileged <v Speaker 1>to be a part of it. <v Speaker 7>Well that's it for tonight show. If you've had a <v Speaker 7>big foot siding and would like to be a guest, <v Speaker 7>please go to my bigfoot Siding dot com and let <v Speaker 7>us know. Thanks for listening, have a great night. <v Speaker 4>Seen a bunch of run down no horse towns where <v Speaker 4>the church is the backbone, loves and the bow and <v Speaker 4>the fastring melodies coove in that the bomb Man rose, <v Speaker 4>where the roofs run deep beyond the nose of the <v Speaker 4>busy streets with the songs of the South of Su. <v Speaker 4>Then I mean I hear the promp porch picking down <v Speaker 4>home rhythm, ringing out I don't Run from Banjung music.
