Kelli Lumsden: Living Cinderella’s Life

Kelli grew up living a real-life Cinderella story, but without the Prince Charming at the end….. so far.

She was raised in such trauma and chaos that she doesn’t even remember the first part of her childhood. Her mother and father were divorced early on in her life and Kelli was later shipped off to live with her father and abusive stepmother. She was berated and made to always feel “less than.” Kelli hated school and was held back in both the 4th & 11th grade.

Looking for external validation and love became Kelli’s norm. As she jumped from relationship to relationship, her self-worth became less and less. When Kelli enlisted in the Air Force, she excelled in the service, finished in the top of her class, became a leader in her squadron, but still felt unworthy of love and being loved.
